- Lucas: Luna, ready for another episode of Learn Dutch with Fexingo? Luna: Absolutely! I've been practicing my body parts, but I need a good review. Lucas: Perfect, because today we're going to review all the Dutch body parts we've covered. It's great to have a solid grasp of these words. Luna: Yeah, and thanks to everyone who supports the show. If Fexingo has been helping you make progress with Dutch, a couple of dollars a month really makes a difference. You can contribute at buy me a coffee dot com slash fexingo. Lucas: Absolutely. Every little bit helps us keep making these episodes ad-free. Now, let's dive into the review. We'll start with het hoofd. Can you say that, Luna? Luna: Het hoofd. Lucas: Perfect. Het hoofd means head. Now, let's move to de hand. Say it. Luna: De hand. Lucas: Good. And de voet. Luna: De voet. Lucas: Now de arm. Luna: De arm. Lucas: Het been. Luna: Het been. Lucas: Het oog. Luna: Het oog. Lucas: De neus. Luna: De neus. Lucas: De mond. Luna: De mond. Lucas: Het oor. Luna: Het oor. Lucas: De schouder. Luna: De schouder. Lucas: De knie. Luna: De knie. Lucas: And de teen. Luna: De teen. That's a lot of words! Lucas: It is, but you've got them. Let's do a quick game: I'll say a body part in English, you say it in Dutch. Head. Luna: Het hoofd. Lucas: Hand. Luna: De hand. Lucas: Foot. Luna: De voet. Lucas: Arm. Luna: De arm. Lucas: Leg. Luna: Het been. Lucas: Eye. Luna: Het oog. Lucas: Nose. Luna: De neus. Lucas: Mouth. Luna: De mond. Lucas: Ear. Luna: Het oor. Lucas: Shoulder. Luna: De schouder. Lucas: Knee. Luna: De knie. Lucas: Toe. Luna: De teen. Wow, I did it! Lucas: You sure did. Now let's use them in a simple sentence. For example, Ik heb pijn in mijn hoofd. That means 'I have pain in my head.' Can you say that? Luna: Ik heb pijn in mijn hoofd. Lucas: Great. Now try: Ik heb pijn in mijn knie. Luna: Ik heb pijn in mijn knie. Lucas: Excellent. And one more: Ik heb pijn in mijn schouder. Luna: Ik heb pijn in mijn schouder. Lucas: Perfect. Now, let's do a little story. Imagine you're describing someone. Say: Hij heeft een groot hoofd. That means 'He has a big head.' Luna: Hij heeft een groot hoofd. Lucas: Or: Zij heeft blauwe ogen. 'She has blue eyes.' Luna: Zij heeft blauwe ogen. Lucas: Try: Hij heeft lange benen. Luna: Hij heeft lange benen. Lucas: That's it. You're getting really comfortable with these words. Let's do a quick recap: from top to bottom, say each body part once more. Luna: Het hoofd, de schouder, de arm, de hand, het oog, de neus, de mond, het oor, het been, de knie, de voet, de teen. Lucas: That was fantastic. And you included the new ones from last episode: schouder, knie, teen. You've mastered them. Luna: Thanks, Lucas. This review really helped me feel more confident. Lucas: That's the goal. Keep practicing these words, and next time you're at the doctor or describing someone, you'll be ready. Until next time, keep up the great work!
