  SPEAKER_00: I found this YouTuber named Dave Reed who does tutorials with Nomad Sculpt

  SPEAKER_00: I started following a few just to get to know the program better.

  SPEAKER_00: After only two sculpting sessions I wanted to do more because it was fun.

  SPEAKER_00: It even made me think that maybe I should get some air dry clay and try the real thing.

  SPEAKER_00: I did ask the personnel at Daglig Verksamhet about that, so we will see.

  SPEAKER_00: Sculpting has actually been pretty relaxing too.

  SPEAKER_00: Once or twice I had a really bad headache,

  SPEAKER_00: but after I stopped sculpting I suddenly noticed that the headache was gone.

  SPEAKER_00: My iPad though gets really hot though.

  SPEAKER_00: I have an iPad Pro M2 with 1TB of storage and 16GB of RAM so I didn't expect it

  SPEAKER_00: to struggle that much.

  SPEAKER_00: But I guess scouting is a bit different.

  SPEAKER_00: After 3 days I also downloaded Blender onto my MacBook but I haven't opened it yet.

  SPEAKER_00: I'm trying to find tutorials as good as Dave's but I haven't found any.

  SPEAKER_00: The ones I've seen are way too long and take forever to actually get to

  SPEAKER_00: the thing they are supposed to show.

  SPEAKER_00: Just show me the thing and let me learn.

  SPEAKER_00: And that's probably one of the things I have enjoyed about Nomad Skull.

  SPEAKER_00: Once you start understanding the interface and what everything does, it's actually really fun.

  SPEAKER_00: There are some things that annoy me though.

  SPEAKER_00: The tactile feedback can be weird.

  SPEAKER_00: Sometimes I open a window,

  SPEAKER_00: like the save window, and it just disappears before I even reach what I wanted.

  SPEAKER_00: Other times it does undo when I'm nowhere near the gesture for it.

  SPEAKER_00: The coloring is another problem, although that's probably more of a me problem.

  SPEAKER_00: I never seem to get the colors right when I'm following the tutorials.

  SPEAKER_00: I'm trying to use the same settings,

  SPEAKER_00: but sometimes they have settings that I don't even have, so it's not exactly easy.

  SPEAKER_00: Maybe I will try doing the coloring in Blender.

  SPEAKER_00: I might sculpt one day, then wait two days before doing it again.

  SPEAKER_00: I think that's better for me than forcing myself to do it every single day just

  SPEAKER_00: because it's called a seven days challenge.

  SPEAKER_00: I actually started getting into sculpting because I was supposed to have

  SPEAKER_00: a two-day workshop this past weekend.

  SPEAKER_00: It was supposed to be sculpting a gorilla in ZBrush,

  SPEAKER_00: but I don't own ZBrush and I don't plan on getting it.

  SPEAKER_00: Paying around 5,000 Swedish kronor every year?

  SPEAKER_00: No, thank you.

  SPEAKER_00: I don't want to rent it.

  SPEAKER_00: Sadly, the workshop was postponed because of health problems.

  SPEAKER_00: That sucks because I was really looking forward to it.

  SPEAKER_00: But even though the workshop didn't happen, I still want to keep sculpting here and there.

  SPEAKER_00: Maybe I will take some of Tony Cipriano's courses and try to follow along

  SPEAKER_00: in Nomad's scope, even though he is using ZBrush.

  SPEAKER_00: I think I could do that.

  SPEAKER_00: The basic understanding is still the same, even if ZBrush has things that Nomad doesn't.

  SPEAKER_00: So I guess the funny thing is that I started this as a 7 day challenge,

  SPEAKER_00: didn't actually do 7 days and still ended up wanting to keep sculpting.

  SPEAKER_00: Maybe that's the part that matters.

  SPEAKER_00: I will probably be doing more so keep an eye out.
