April 24 - Belonging Without Condemnation · Bible Chat Devotional

• 0:02
Welcome to Bible Chat, where we have devotional conversations
• 0:06
rooted in Scripture and relevant for today, April 24th.
• 0:11
Peace over pressure. Pressure has a way of filling
• 0:14
every corner of the mind. What do people think of me?
• 0:17
Am I falling behind? Why does their life look easier?
• 0:21
Why do I feel so tired? Proverbs chapter 14 verse 30
• 0:25
says a tranquil heart gives life to the flesh, but envy makes the
• 0:28
bones rot. That is a vivid picture.
• 0:32
Comparison does not just distract us, it drains us.
• 0:36
Romans chapter 8 verse 6 says to set the mind on the spirit is
• 0:40
life and peace. And Romans chapter 8 verse 37
• 0:44
reminds us that in all these things we are more than
• 0:48
conquerors through Him who loved us.
• 0:51
Peace does not come from having a perfect schedule, perfect
• 0:54
  relationships, or perfect confidence.
• 0:56
Peace comes from where your mind is set.
• 0:59
When your mind is set on comparison, you will feel
• 1:01
restless. When it is set on fear, you will
• 1:04
feel trapped. When it is set on the Spirit,
• 1:06
you begin to remember what is true.
• 1:08
You are loved by God. You are held by God.
• 1:12
You are not fighting for victory alone in Christ.
• 1:15
You are living from His victory. That does not mean pressure
• 1:18
disappears. It means pressure does not get
• 1:21
to rule you. Stress may be real, but it is
• 1:24
not your master. Envy may knock, but you do not
• 1:27
have to invite it in. Fear may speak, but the Spirit
• 1:30
  speaks. Life and peace.
• 1:32
Today, notice what your mind keeps returning to.
• 1:35
Then gently turn it back to God. Set your thoughts on His
• 1:38
promises. Set your heart on His presence.
• 1:41
You are not just surviving through Jesus.
• 1:44
You are more than a conqueror. Let's pray.
• 1:47
Heavenly Father, thank you for offering peace that is stronger
• 1:50
than pressure. Help me set my mind on Your
• 1:53
spirit instead of comparison, fear or stress.
• 1:57
Remind me that I am loved and held by you.
• 2:00
Teach me to live as more than a conqueror through Jesus today.
• 2:04
In Jesus name, Amen. What if you could rise up and
• 2:11
declare with full spiritual authority, I shall not die, but
• 2:15
live? Death Defeated is a powerful

• 3:09
with God in today's three-year Bible reading plan.
• 3:13
Proverbs chapter 14 verses 30 to 31 World English Bible.
• 3:18
The life of the body is a heart at peace, but envy rots the
• 3:22
bones. He who oppresses the poor shows
• 3:25
contempt for his Maker, but he who is kind to the needy honors
• 3:28
him. Romans chapter 8 World English
• 3:31
Bible There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in
• 3:36
Christ Jesus, who don't walk according to the flesh, but
• 3:39
according to the Spirit. For the law of the Spirit of
• 3:43
life in Christ Jesus made me free from the law of sin and of
• 3:46
death. For what the Law couldn't do, in
• 3:49
that it was weak through the flesh, God did, sending His own
• 3:53
Son in the likeness of sinful flesh and for sin.
• 3:56
He condemned sin in the flesh, that the ordinance of the Law
• 4:00
might be fulfilled in US who don't walk according to the
• 4:02
flesh, but according to the Spirit.
• 4:06
For those who live according to the flesh set their minds on the
• 4:09
things of the flesh, but those who live according to the
• 4:12
Spirit, the things of the Spirit.
• 4:15
For the mind of the flesh is death, but the mind of the
• 4:17
Spirit is life and peace, because the mind of the flesh is
• 4:21
hostile toward God, for it is not subject to God's law,
• 4:25
neither indeed can it be. Those who are in the flesh can't
• 4:29
please God. But you are not in the flesh,
• 4:31
but in the Spirit, if it is so that the Spirit of God dwells in
• 4:34
you. But if any man doesn't have the
• 4:37
Spirit of Christ, he is not his. If Christ is in you, the body is
• 4:42
dead because of sin, but the Spirit is alive because of
• 4:45
righteousness. But if the Spirit of him who
• 4:48
raised up Jesus from the dead dwells in you, he who raised up
• 4:51
Christ Jesus from the dead will also give life to your mortal
• 4:55
bodies through His Spirit who dwells in you.
• 4:58
So then, brothers, we are debtors not to the flesh, to
• 5:01
live after the flesh. For if you live after the flesh,
• 5:04
you must die. But if by the Spirit you put to
• 5:07
death the deeds of the body, you will live for as many as are led
• 5:11
by the Spirit of God. These are children of God.
• 5:15
For you didn't receive the spirit of bondage again to fear,
• 5:17
but you received the spirit of adoption, by whom we cry, ABBA,
• 5:22
Father, the Spirit himself testifies with our spirit that
• 5:25
we are children of God. And if children, then heirs,
• 5:29
heirs of God, and joint heirs with Christ, if indeed we suffer
• 5:32
with Him, that we may also be glorified with Him.
• 5:37
For I consider that the sufferings of this present time
• 5:40
are not worthy to be compared with the glory which will be
• 5:43
revealed toward us. For the creation waits with
• 5:46
eager expectation for the children of God to be revealed.
• 5:51
For the creation was subjected to vanity, not of its own will,
• 5:55
but because of Him who subjected it, in hope that the creation
• 5:59
itself also will be delivered from the bondage of decay into
• 6:03
the liberty of the glory of the children of God.
• 6:06
For we know that the whole creation groans and travails in
• 6:09
pain together, until now not only so, but ourselves also, who
• 6:14
have the first fruits of the Spirit.
• 6:16
Even we ourselves groan within ourselves, waiting for adoption,
• 6:20
the redemption of our body. For we were saved in hope.
• 6:24
But hope that is seen is not hope.
• 6:26
For who hopes for that which he sees?
• 6:28
But if we hope for that which we don't see, we wait for it with
• 6:31
patience. In the same way, the Spirit also
• 6:35
helps our weaknesses. For we don't know how to pray as
• 6:37
we ought, but the Spirit Himself makes intercession for us with
• 6:41
  groanings which can't be uttered.
• 6:44
He who searches the hearts knows what is on the Spirit's mind,
• 6:47
because He makes intercession for the Saints according to God.
• 6:52
We know that all things work together for good for those who
• 6:55
love God, for those who are called according to His purpose,
• 6:59
for whom He fork knew. He also predestined to be
• 7:02
conformed to the image of His Son, that He might be the first
• 7:05
born among many brothers whom He predestined, those He also
• 7:08
called, whom He called, those He also justified, whom He
• 7:13
  justified those He also glorified.
• 7:16
What then shall we say about these things?
• 7:18
If God is for us, who can be against us?
• 7:21
He who didn't spare His own Son, but delivered Him up for us all,
• 7:24
how would He not also with Him freely give us all things?
• 7:28
Who could bring a charge against God's chosen ones?
• 7:31
It is God who justifies. Who is He who condemns?
• 7:35
It is Christ who died, yes, rather, who was raised from the
• 7:38
dead, Who is at the right hand of God, who also makes
• 7:41
intercession for us? Who shall separate us from the
• 7:44
love of Christ? Could oppression, or anguish, or
• 7:47
persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword?
• 7:52
Even as it is written for your sake, we are killed.
• 7:54
All day long we were accounted as sheep for the slaughter.
• 7:58
No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him
• 8:01
who loved us. For I am persuaded that neither
• 8:04
death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor things
• 8:08
present, nor things to come, nor powers, nor height, nor depth,
• 8:13
nor any other created thing, will be able to separate us from
• 8:16
God's love, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
