- 0:00Speaker 1: Well, am I going to get to listen to this
- 0:01Speaker 1: episode or do I need to join the Patreon?
- 0:04Speaker 2: I think you.
- 0:06Speaker 3: I just remembered.
- 0:07Speaker 4: I still have a Patreon account that's been collecting dust.
- 0:12Speaker 2: Oh, but we should tell them about that. The fact
- 0:15Speaker 2: that this.
- 0:16Speaker 1: Week is a Patreon episode and if you, the rest
- 0:20Speaker 1: of you people, were cool, you would be supporting the
- 0:24Speaker 1: show and be kicking in like, I don't know, two
- 0:27Speaker 1: bucks and then you can go and listen to An
- 0:29Speaker 1: awesome episode where we say amazing things like this. Normally
- 0:35Speaker 1: we end up with some sort of streaming service, but
- 0:36Speaker 1: there was a bunch of crap on those this time.
- 0:38Speaker 4: This was a dollar at the Peddler's Mall.
- 0:40Speaker 3: So Misty has this here DVD that we're looking at
- 0:43Speaker 3: right now. And to look at it, it's got a
- 0:45Speaker 3: werewolfy face on it.
- 0:47Speaker 4: But it looks like it would have at one point
- 0:49Speaker 4: had one of those Lantinier covers.
- 0:51Speaker 2: Yeah, if I angled it, it'd be a different face
- 0:53Speaker 2: and it'd be changing back and forth. But it doesn't
- 0:55Speaker 2: do that because this is ghetto cheap.
- 0:57Speaker 3: But it's got a moon up here, and then it
- 0:59Speaker 3: says Blood Moon across the top. And I'm like, all right, werewolves. Obviously,
- 1:05Speaker 3: this is a werewolf movie.
- 1:06Speaker 4: That's the first lie.
- 1:07Speaker 3: And then all I did was get to the first name,
- 1:09Speaker 3: and I went, oh, God. So the first name on
- 1:12Speaker 3: this box is Tim Curry. I was all set. So
- 1:15Speaker 3: then they're like, quick, string a sort of half-assed story together,
- 1:19Speaker 3: and we'll wrap it around these cutaways to these people
- 1:22Speaker 3: doing crazy.
- 1:23Speaker 1: Freak show stuff.
- 1:24Speaker 3: And that's mostly what the movie is.
- 1:25Speaker 4: I mean, you end up with like.
- 1:29Speaker 4: It's the right height for delight.
- 1:31Speaker 2: Oh, God.
- 1:32Speaker 4: That's what it was.
- 1:33Speaker 2: Why didn't I block that part? Along with so many
- 1:36Speaker 2: other parts of this movie.
- 1:38Speaker 4: Some parts you will never be able to unsee.
- 1:40Speaker 3: Yeah, tiny parts.
- 1:44Speaker 1: But there's also.
- 1:45Speaker 4: There are no small actors.
- 1:48Speaker 3: Just Iceman.
- 1:52Speaker 4: Shrinkage.
- 1:53Speaker 3: It was in the pool.
- 1:56Speaker 4: It's cold.
- 1:57Speaker 3: I'm Iceman.
- 1:59Speaker 4: We've got Sean Ashmore is in this movie as one
- 2:01Speaker 4: of the jackass bullies. He is the leader.
- 2:03Speaker 2: He's the main jackass.
- 2:05Speaker 3: The girl's kind of a pretty big jackass, but he's
- 2:07Speaker 3: the most jackass. Fortunately, she saw something else.
- 2:14Speaker 4: We talk about all.
- 2:15Speaker 1: Do you want to jump to that? Because that.
- 2:18Speaker 3: I mean, it is ridiculous that that part gets worked
- 2:21Speaker 3: in because it really doesn't factor in except giving him
- 2:25Speaker 3: a reason to like want to kill her.
- 2:27Speaker 4: Out of all the reasons that you could possibly give
- 2:30Speaker 4: him to want to kill her.
- 2:32Speaker 3: I mean, we assume this about most bullies, right? Like
- 2:35Speaker 3: there's a reason you're being such a dick.
- 2:38Speaker 2: See, that's the thing.
- 2:39Speaker 3: I think there is the essence of a really good
- 2:41Speaker 3: story there. That's not really what we get in this movie,
- 2:44Speaker 3: but I think, yeah, at its core, there's, A really
- 2:48Speaker 3: interesting little thing there. Basically, she's going through what every
- 2:51Speaker 3: teenage girl is going through.
- 2:53Speaker 2: This is just an extreme version of it.
- 2:55Speaker 4: She just wants to be normal. She wants to be liked.
- 2:58Speaker 4: She wants to have the boyfriend. She wants to have
- 3:00Speaker 4: the normal life. She goes to whatever lengths she thinks
- 3:07Speaker 4: will get her there, and it ends horribly.
- 3:09Speaker 3: Spoiler alert.
- 3:12Speaker 4: There's a lot of wieners in this film. Not really.
- 3:14Speaker 1: Or not.
- 3:16Speaker 3: The scene with her drinking out of the toilet.
- 3:18Speaker 4: And trying to find herself. She totally lost herself.
- 3:21Speaker 3: Oh my god, this movie's so deep.
- 3:26Speaker 2: I can do two bucks. It's not so bad.
- 3:29Speaker 1: It's half of what I paid for this cup of coffee. Gladly.
- 3:34Speaker 1: From Heine Brothers, which all of you should go and support.
- 3:40Speaker 4: Get some coffee.
- 3:42Speaker 2: Coffee and supporting this show that's all you need just
- 3:46Speaker 2: like go get coffee and kick in you know two
- 3:49Speaker 2: bucks and i'm thinking of like cool stuff we can
- 3:51Speaker 2: make we need some more like i'll put some extra
- 3:53Speaker 2: tears i've got a specific thing i want to make
- 3:56Speaker 2: except all these other things i've made in the past
- 3:58Speaker 2: nobody cares about so.
- 4:00Speaker 3: I really don't need to keep like stockpiling like tubs
- 4:03Speaker 3: worth of.
- 4:04Speaker 2: Meltdown merchandise that no one else cares about but i
- 4:07Speaker 2: probably will anyway so Yeah, we can work on that.
- 4:11Speaker 2: We can get you cool gifts for being part of
- 4:13Speaker 2: the club. Not everybody gets to be a Melketeer, so
- 4:17Speaker 2: if you're cool enough to be in the Melketeer Horror Club,
- 4:20Speaker 2: we'll come up with something. So anyway, go to MovieMeltdown.com,
- 4:25Speaker 2: support the show, become a Melketeer.
- 4:28Speaker 3: Damn them, man. Save the Meltdown.
