She, beginning of each semester, she generally the Monday and Tuesday, actually the whole week, she stays with her new staff to work with them till late at night.
• 1:25
I cannot believe Garrett didn't get the geological survey one, or whatever it was. Well, he should've told me. I could've got that for him. Gosh, he needs a job. The boy needs a job. Is he just looking for a campus job?
• 1:36
Go to the rec center and do nothing. [laughs] Check people in- I thought he-... and literally do nothing... I thought he- It's awesome... or go to Taco Bell and overstuff my taco.
• 1:44
[laughs] Well, he's going to Taco Bell and I'm going daily- [laughs]... 'cause I'm looking at him to triple stuff my taco. That right? Triple stuff. 'Cause I went to Taco Bell today and it was delicious.
• 1:52
Looking at you, Dan. Is that on campus? Oh, yeah, baby. [laughs] It's in the- Yeah, it's all kids working- Oh, yeah, okay. 'Cause didn't-...
• 1:58
all, all, all kids working, and they fill it the size that they would eat them at- It used, did it used to be across the street? Like, there was a Wendy's over there.
• 2:04
There was a Wendy's, and then there was a, unfortunately, the Dog House rest in peace. Quiznos. There was a Quiznos for a while. Hmm. Uh, way before- The Wendy's was kickass...
• 2:11
way before that it was Los, Los Huaraches- Uh, yep, yeah... which was awesome. I don't know if he's one of those put all his eggs in one basket guys. Huh? 'Cause he's looking for other stuff now, but I'm like- Oh...
• 2:22
"Do the shotgun thing. Just pew, pew, pew, pew, pew, pew, pow- See what happens... once." Find- Yeah, absolutely. He wants to work at that, uh, new D&D store across the street. [laughs] I know. Oh, yeah, Old Guard Games?
• 2:32
Yeah. Yeah. Oh. It's big. Yeah. Yeah. It's nice. I, I, I, I did a wander. Uh- I think, you know-... that, that was the old, uh, Follett's Bookstore... he's settling in. I don't know. He's like, it's a little- I saw him.
• 2:41
I saw him the, uh, day of the move-in day. Oh, nice. I was on my way back- Tony hasn't seen him yet... and I was just like, I w- I run into Cleon everywhere-... and I was just-... and I've not seen Garrett yet...
• 2:48
and I was, like, riding b- like, by the library, and I was like, "I... Did... No, I... You- Wait, I know you. Okay. Yeah, yeah. Guy Mc- Guy McLonghair. How's it going? Yeah. [laughs] Yeah, fucking hippie.
• 2:58
[laughs] Well, heck, another weekend of, uh, I don't know, music and stuff. Oh, God. Frivolity. Fucking Polka Riot. What a blast. Yeah. You know what was even better?
• 3:08
It wasn't at the end of Steel is Real, so it- We could have fun... A, I wasn't, you know, a little bit three sheets. It was only two or so.
• 3:15
[laughs] And- Well, until you guys went and had that pitcher of margaritas at Coney Dog. Yeah. That was a, it was a s- small pitcher. It wasn't a full-sized go to the b- Go to the moon... go to the bad place.
• 3:27
[laughs] Those full-sized pitchers- It's a big s-... you better be bringing a crew- Um-... 'cause that's a lot of margarita... well, yeah. Yeah. I got a story about that. I don't know if I can tell it on air.
• 3:38
[laughs] Uh, but, uh, yeah, Polka Riot was great. Um- Steuben's Note Pit... in- interesting with the fence that they have at Last Fright now. I, it's, that's kind of annoying. I, I really- It mo-...
• 3:50
hope you're right and they move it to- Yeah, I think pretty sure they will... Polish Falcons. That's what Evan says. Oh. So if you're not from Milwaukee, set your calendar- I do like the outdoors...
• 3:59
set your calendar forward- Yeah... 365 days to September whatever, 9th, 10th next year. Of n- next year's. And- Yes, the high holy days, the high holy weekend... oh, yes, it's happy birthday Michael.
• 4:08
Happy birthday, Michael. Yes, yes. It always falls right around the Michael birthday. Yes. If not on. On purpose, I'm sure. Come, come to Milwaukee and see the Polka Riot. It is one of the most entertaining shows.
• 4:19
Absolutely. Hell yeah. Yeah, yeah. I mean, it's, you hear polka in there, and you're like, "Yeah." Yeah. If, if you don't- But then you hear-... have fun, you're dead... but then you hear Riot in there- Right.
• 4:27
And you're like- Oh, yeah... "Hey, uh..." Yeah, I, uh- Um-... a- as usual, I had a really good time. Yeah. And then, uh- [sings] Ratalas, ratalas. [laughs] Uh- That's a- That-... total damn earworm. I...
• 4:39
We should actually probably- [laughs]... get something on the show at some... We could get Evan on the show at some point- Mm-hmm... I'm sure. Mm-hmm. Um- Shake your hands. Shake your hands.
• 4:46
Wait, I'm gonna tell you this right now. If Evan comes on the show, he's gotta bring his accordion. Ooh. Melodeon. It's not an accordion. It's a what, Evan? Melodeon. Melodeon. Melodeon? Okay.
• 4:57
It's a, it's a Roland Mélodion. Okay. It, it's a synthesized accordion. Oh, man. Yeah. So he can, he can make it sound like whatever- Dude, he did doom... metal-... he doomed out at- Doom Metal... at, uh, at Falcon.
• 5:07
Yeah. He a- he actually asked... I was f- I c-... filming that, and he asked me for that stuff, and he goes, "Except that I'm in it, that's actually pretty good." [laughs] [laughs] Or, or something to that effect.
• 5:18
He's a bit modest. Yeah. Yeah. But it was, it was very, very, um- It was right in my wheelhouse... very sleepish. Yeah. I'm gonna take a sip of beer right now. Ah. I'm still, I'm still finishing my beer.
• 5:29
[glass clinks] You guys got to the hill fast. Well, you know- Yeah. May- maybe we're on e-bikes, Tony. Maybe we're on e-bikes. I'm here. I like my e-bike. Uh- I'm, I'm on the me bike. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Someone on the-
• 5:43
Jake, Jake K-... my bike leaning web Facebook page was all pissed off about someone calling a bike an analog bike, or an acu- an analog bike. He's like, he went on and on about it. I'm like, "Dude, just give it a rest.
• 5:56
I'm gonna call it an acoustic bike, and I'm gonna call it an, a, a l-... I, I, I gave him the three. I'm gonna call it an acoustic bike. I'm gonna call that one-...
• 6:05
an electric bike, and then we have ice bikes or engine cycles. Engine cycles. [laughs] What? Mm, mm. You, you confused the shit out of them, I'm sure. I know, I know.
• 6:19
So since we're at the top of the hill, JK picked up Zombie Dust Undead Pale Ale, which- It's not normal... I know we've had this before, but it was a good pull- Yeah... 'cause it's always- I haven't had it for a while...
• 6:30
always a- It's a good beer... good beer It's always a good beer. It's on tap at Oscars. I highly recommend you try it. Wait, what? Oh. Along with 35 other beers? 35? I think there are like 60. I ex- It's fucking nuts...
• 6:40
I'm giving Oscars a rest because I don't wanna ruin it. Mm-hmm. So there's, uh, uh, more music was, uh... What was it? Uh, Saturday? Sunday. Sunday. Sunday was at, uh, Garden Park.
• 6:56
The w- lack of reason, I got the boys, uh- Yeah... coolers. Thank you, thank you. They're a fun band. Yeah. Uh- It's got a K. Yeah. It's like- What Ferrari logo... one of the organizers- But it's-...
• 7:06
of the Strummer Fest... a unicorn. Right. Yeah. And actually, lack of reason, play- So is it the same, is it the same horse with just- With a unicorn added... with a unicorn? [laughs] I think so. His other...
• 7:15
I don't have the stickers in here, but one of them reminds me of a RockShox sticker. I will get it later, but I should have stuck it on the thing or something, or done- Yeah, I, uh-... done something like that.
• 7:26
I don't know what I was gonna do, but- On Thursday I had gone down to the Colectivo for De La Buena, um, wa- I can't remember. Musica Del Lago- Okay... thing. It was a rain date makeup type thing.
• 7:43
I ran into, uh, Huisha, what, Styles- Oh... Bike Benefits. That would be Ian. There was a big- He- There was a big thing. There was a big deal. I, well, how, how, how- Is this guy for real? Why is he charging me $10?
• 7:58
Oh, I was ready to bitch-slap that guy. Well, why is he char- Sorry. Why is he charging me $10 for the card? The card is $10. The card is $10. Because you don't have to stick it to something like your helmet. Right.
• 8:08
It, what... And what he was talking about with people being trustworthy, Bicycle Benefits, awesome program. Yeah.
• 8:14
Um, and, and raises funds, uh, at, albeit at a very low volume and gives you discounts at places around- Yeah, it's great... around town. It was f- it was funny running into him though.
• 8:22
And it's in a lot of other cities too. Yeah. So here's the deal though with the card. The card is for people who actually already have a sticker basically, but just aren't riding their bike kind of a deal.
• 8:33
It's like- Gotcha... you gotta be- Yeah, I like that idea... uh, something like that. It's like- Or just don't bring their helmet while they're riding their bike. Or trustworthy pe- Right...
• 8:38
I keep a sticker in my wallet 'cause I have- Yeah... multiple helmets, and I did put one on my helmet today though. Good job. Since I have a bunch of them right there. [laughs] Uh, five bucks and you get discounts.
• 8:48
You- it's like buy one, get one at a bunch of, uh, tap rooms and stuff. Mm-hmm, mm-hmm. And y- it'll pay for it on the first time you use it, but- Mm-hmm. I had one... I have a bunch.
• 8:55
If you're riding around Milwaukee and you see me, ask me. I'll sell you one for five doll hairs. Do I have one? Let me see. I had one on my wallet. Let me see. It fell out. Oh, look. What's that?
• 9:05
Yeah, yours- What is that? What is that? From 1914 I think the... What's the- This is a new helmet, so it's a new sticker. [laughs] The orange one is actually a couple years old, but it still works because- That's...
• 9:15
Yeah, that's the one I have- That's the beautiful thing about it... on my orange helmet. Once you have one, you have one.
• 9:17
I have the orange sticker on the orange helmet because it just- Well- Someone accused me of having a, a bogus one once because of the color, and I can't remember. It was someone, as a joke of course, but- Yeah, boy...
• 9:29
jackasses. But yeah, he- All right... he, he had just mentioned that, uh... He's like... Well, [laughs] he's just going like- I could-... "Dude, every time I see you, you have a beer in your hand."
• 9:38
And I'm like- I can almost-... "Yes"... feel Peewee's- You are correct... tongue- Are you looking at-... from here... are, is Peewee looking at you? He is. I think he- And I'm like, y- look at that tongue.
• 9:45
It's like you can- I, I think you need some eyeballs because- Yeah... your googly eyes- He wants to look... through the thing. Ah! It's more of a looking tool. Ah! I think it's...
• 9:52
I, I think we should get some googly eyes for him. [laughs] It was fun. That was part of the, uh, Steel Is Real ride. Was that? That was this year. Fat Tire tour. Oh, yeah. Fat Tire.
• 10:01
Well, speaking of Steel Is Real, [laughs] well- See how you just segued? I didn't segue. I- Hem-fisted... fertilised my way into it... burger. Uh, Steel Is Real is going to be Saturday, September 21st.
• 10:15
I would show up at the traditional place on Downer, The Hollander. 9:30, 10:00, show up there. I don't know. Are we gonna judge bikes? Maybe. Maybe. I don't know. Maybe not.
• 10:27
I can tell you this though, not telling you where we're going. Mm-mm. But I can tell you this about that, not where we're going business, it's gonna be around 20 mile ride.
• 10:37
It's gonna be couple, two, three, four, five stops, give or take. All right. All right. One, two, three. You're gonna go this weekend, aren't you? I most- Like- Probably... Saturday I, we kinda need to- Yeah, I know.
• 10:51
I-... button up... my intention is to be there. I got a, I got a heads up- I intend to, if not, yeah. For- I got a heads up-... a burn... it's gonna be like a burn. It's not gonna be a full like eight- Yeah...
• 11:01
hour day worth of- That's fine... doing bike riding. No, no, no. It'll be like what you and I did a couple weeks ago. Right. Quick. But I did get a heads-up from, uh, Dan about the 6th Street
• 11:10
Bridge being open, which we weren't probably gonna use anyway 'cause we'll be just south of it, but I'm changing the route so we don't use the same spot- Mm-hmm, mm-hmm... for two miles.
• 11:20
So I wanna get everybody that's gonna be part of the ride, leading portion of the ride, uh, to at least kinda know where we're going. Mm-hmm. 'Cause I ain't telling you.
• 11:31
Yeah, and I ain't g- doing, ain't gonna do no Google Maps ride. Don't Google Map me. Don't Google me, bro. Don't Google Map me, bro. I can tell you this, we're not going as far south as Night Owl. All right.
• 11:42
Well, it is, uh, by the by, and whatever, Bay View Bash. Yes, this is true. So. That would be a U-turn to go back down there if that was what one wanted to do. Uh, yeah. Well, and this weekend- A giant dog is-...
• 11:55
we need to be careful doing the test ride because it's also Taco Fest at Summerfest grounds. Oh, fuck. Whatever. Not to worry. I had to ride through- Yeah... uh, Mexican Fiesta in- I think we'll be all right there...
• 12:06
something else- I think-... that they had down there... I, I- And- I don't know. I'm thinking Mexican Fiesta, fun Hispanic people Taco fest, asshole white people. Hmm. But somehow tacos bind them all. Right? Right.
• 12:22
It is the universal binding. Was his phone binding? Excuse me. So I, I did mention- I, I was slouching.
• 12:26
[laughs] I did mention Night Owl, 'cause I actually made it there for the first time, when they were, A, open, B, b- And weren't out of burgers... B, serving food, and not, C, like, busy as fuck.
• 12:37
I think that's two years I missed. It was, it was a, it was a, a, a little bit of a dreary day. Slid in there, five minutes, slid out of there. Nice. It was perfect. Hmm. I don't know if that'll happen again this fall.
• 12:47
And as usual, it was delicious? Yes. Nice. Did you get- All right. Let's- Did you get any ice cream or a float? Nope. Nope. Nope. Nope. Nope, nope, nope. Belly. Nope, nope, nope, nope. No belly. I like belly.
• 12:59
Um, well let's get out of Milwaukee for a little bit. [laughs] We c- we can always come back later on. We'll double back. Uh, here's something interesting. I don't know if you guys know who Jeff Hall is.
• 13:09
He's a, was a perennial winner of the fat, uh, tire 40 Chequamegon fat bike race. Okay. Very fast guy. Faster than everybody- Like me... because he won that race [laughs] many times.
• 13:25
He did it this year on, say it with me, Tony. An electric fat bike? An e-bike. Yeah. So Lemaire, who is, I don't know if you remember JP, but we used to have- I know JP... have talked to him- I have his shorts...
• 13:37
m- many, many years ago. Uh- My saddle got stolen. Sorry, JP... oh, not that JP. Oh, okay. JP Lemaire. Oh, okay. Okay. Makes, uh, very light carbon bikes and stuff- Uh-huh... and he makes a carbon
• 13:49
electric full suspension badass race bike, and they actually had an e-bike category at that race this year. And he killed it. I don't know. I gotta find out what the, because it was j- just a couple days ago.
• 14:02
He killed it. We know it. But the deal is, it wasn't a, y- it wasn't, you couldn't win the whole thing. It was like a demo category. But come on, I mean, they're, they're gonna be there, right? Mm.
• 14:14
Electric bikes are gonna be there, around. So I guess they're embracing it because more people enter and then spend money and whatever, whatever. Mm-hmm, mm-hmm.
• 14:24
But, um, so JP makes this badass electric mountain bike, and, uh, Jeff Hall rode it in the- Oh... Che- Chequamegon thingy. And he kicked ass. Yeah, however you pronounce the damn word.
• 14:36
Well, it's just like, it's like, you know- Chequamegon. Chequamegon. He, he's, he's, I, he's probably won the race- Chequamegon. Say it quick... acoustically three times or- Yeah... four. I don't know.
• 14:45
But that's cool as hell. All right. On to, why are those things there? [laughs] What, in fact, what are those things? Oh, let me... They, they look to be places to hide an AirTag. They are, but Tony...
• 14:57
So okay, so Tony, Tony and Greg, Greg and Tony- Greg, yep, yeah... got some stuffs to kind of k- take track of, keep track of their bikes if somebody wanders off with them.
• 15:05
They don't have ugly bikes like I do [laughs] that nobody wants to steal. Well- Hey, you called my bike ugly today too... yes, because it was perfect timing. It was absolutely perfect timing.
• 15:14
[laughs] So the one Tony's fiddling with, you could, it's a, uh, that one actually replaces your headset. It's like the top of your- Oh, that's a great idea. Yeah, so you can- So you mount the headset, head tube...
• 15:24
your headset, boom. You put that on there. You put your AirTag in here. Put that deal on there. Screw this down, they don't even know it's there. Zing. I have to see if this fits my, uh, Pebble Bee.
• 15:35
Yeah, 'cause it's got, you could cut that little, the little ringy thingy off. Oh yeah, I could totally buff that. Otherwise, this one is just a simple unscrew it and stick it on kind of a deal.
• 15:50
So it could fit, I'm sure it'll fit in there. Oh. But that you can stick anywhere. I, but AirTags- Interesting. Yeah... you know, AirTags, AirTags are a, a industry standard I might say.
• 16:01
Well, for people that have Apple products. You don't have to have an Apple product to get an AirTag. Oh, no. All those work with- Oh, no... with, with Android products too?
• 16:09
You can get your Windows machine or your Android. Wait, though. Can you recharge those? Ha. No, you stick- You cannot... stick a battery in it, it lasts a year. Yeah. And then what do you do? Stick a battery in it.
• 16:20
It lasts a year. Yeah. You know what I can do? Say it with me again. Stick it a battery in it. I have USB-C. All right. Here's something you can't do with your stupid Pebble, but maybe you can.
• 16:29
I don't know if you have to order them. I don't think I ordered these direct from Apple, but you can get your initials.
• 16:39
And then if somebody steals your bike, you're like, "Well, it's got an AirTag with my fucking initials on it." That's, you know.
• 16:45
You know, and I, I would probably care- You can order direct and genitals- And, and I will just tell you, as I'm killing the person-... and gen-... that stole my bike with my AirTag in it,
• 16:54
I will point out the fact that I know it's my bike. So, yeah. I, I don't need to have initials on. He's gonna be dead. So this, th- this was like 80 bucks for four of them, so 20 bucks a piece. Okay. That's reasonable.
• 17:04
With engraving. Okay. And also, I think you should probably put two on your bike. If it's a really bike that's really dear to you, get one, get one decoy one and then one that's like super...
• 17:15
Like on, I, I think the seat post is a good spot, like at the bottom of the seat post. Can it get through the metal? Sure. That's what I wanna test. Well, let's test that. Yeah.
• 17:24
We should, 'cause I have, I have apprehensive, apprehension about, I wanna put a Pebble Bee... You and I worked on my electric cargo bike. You know how we took off that plastic part that the battery mounts to? Yeah.
• 17:39
I wanna put one in there. That's not a bad idea at all. 'Cause it'd be complete- there, you'd have to dismantle the bike [laughs] to find this, and by then I have found you and killed you.
• 17:48
How are you gonna ch- how are you gonna charge it? Do you have to take it apart all the time? You're gonna have to take it apart, but- What-... it lasts three years... the charge does not last three years.
• 17:54
USB-C, they claim it'll last up to three years. Okay. Probably- Well, let's see how that works when it's 40 below outside. Well, that's gonna suck, but my bike's- Right... not gonna... The, my cargo bike- Yeah...
• 18:02
I've decided it's not gonna be ridden in the winter. It, uh, so yeah, radio waves are weird. I got my little Gizmatron down here. So when you actually look at the show notes and it says- A-...
• 18:12
AirTag, order direct and genitals engraved You're still sticking with that? Yeah. Does it- I heard genitals engraved there... it keeps, yeah You're having your genitals engraved? 'Cause when you just, like, fly by.
• 18:24
Oh, it does look like that. And genit- it, get, it says, "Get initials engraved." Genitals. So the, the little, uh, the, that's like, uh- I'm a simple man... lo-fi. Yeah... that should get through brick, right?
• 18:37
Theoretically, yeah. I don't know why it's not doing it. Well, it's not doing its thing like it used to, not like when I had my fancy antenna. Let's go back to being, having our genitals engraved.
• 18:47
[laughs] That sounds painful. [laughs] I'm not doing that. [laughs] Tattooed balls sounds like a bad idea. Oh, God, no. I'm not doing it. That's punishment. Mm-hmm.
• 18:57
I, well, actually, we should find someone that can come on the podcast and talk about it if they've in fact had their genitals engraved. The bits. 'Cause that sounds like a really bad idea. Their bits? Their bits...
• 19:06
what about, like, branded? Like, little tiny branding iron. Well, I mean, where's Huber? He did his lip. With a branding iron? No, he had his lip tattooed for the River West 24. That seems dumb.
• 19:17
The mush- the mustache tattoo. Sorry, sorry Jim, 'cause I know you listen to the show every week. Yeah. Mm. When he did that, it was, God, it was wild. No. I could not- No...
• 19:25
when he showed me, I'm like, "Oh, God, dude, you are gutsy." That hurts me. Mm. That hurts me. I haven't heard from Jim in ages, so Jim, if you are listening to this show, give me a fucking update. Yeah.
• 19:35
Yeah, we haven't heard from him. He hasn't even come back to town for a while. No. Uh, back to Steel Is Real. Back to Milwaukee. Yeah. Hello.
• 19:45
Well, just because this is, this is a, it, so this year the theme of the ride is, is, like, clunkers. You don't have a clunker, don't worry about it. Bring a steel bike.
• 19:55
Don't have a steel bike, don't worry about it too much. Bring whatever you got. Yeah. Bring a little- At least-... uh, self armor that people will give you a little- At least tape a-... little, little- At least-...
• 20:04
little jibing... at least tape a piece of steel to your carbon bike so we can put a magnet on it. Right. Pretend it's steel. Right. Anyway, if you need a State Bicycles clunker, there's a new Bob Marley edition.
• 20:16
I saw it. No, I want one. With the hemp bag and everything. Oh, I didn't see that one. I saw a different one. 4, 499. That's a- Yeah... it's a steel. It's a steel deal. Nice... steel.
• 20:26
That is- Be- between the Marley and the fuck you one. Oh, the fuck you one I think is- I like the fuck you one better... yeah. I love the fuck you one. Yeah, I think- But it is a, like, theft magnet. I think it's gone...
• 20:36
it seems like. I think it's gone, too. I don't think they have any more of those. Or, uh, get a Marley with a fuck you, uh, bag. There you go. Yeah, best of both worlds. All right, zing. Mm. That would be possible.
• 20:49
It is my birthday week if anyone wants to sponsor me State Bicycles. [laughs] That seems somewhat likely. High hopes. High hopes. Why not high hopes? You see what I did there with Marley? I did. High. I did. Got that.
• 21:06
Hopes. So- Oh, man. There were drugs in your system. Yeah, it was the poppy seeds in my bagel. Yeah, sure it was. Yeah, what about- Okay, heroin boy... yeah, what about the weed and the cocaine?
• 21:19
[laughs] It was in, it was in everything bagel. It was in the bagel. It was in- It was in everything bagel. It was in everything bagel. [laughs] Da-dum, tsh. I know Tony's all into crypto stuff. Yep.
• 21:31
Got my weather station. Haven't set it up yet. Here's the thing, though. I'm gonna try this. I don't know how it works, 'cause I only just set it up, but there's a deal called fountain.fm- Okay...
• 21:42
which is, which is a way to listen to podcasts. Like, either you use Spotify or you use Apple Podcasts or you use whatever, whatever. This is another way to do it.
• 21:51
Four million podcasts, so they pretty much have everything on there. Will Tony pay you? Not exactly, but they use sats, Satoshis. Okay. So somehow, and I've, uh, we're working on this, I can, uh, put in there
• 22:10
25% to you, 25% to you, 50% to me, s- 'cause I'm paying for this thing. Yeah... we're not making any money. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Right? Yeah. Or even the, the guys that, um, facilitate this take 3%, so whatever, whatever.
• 22:25
Okay. You know what I'm saying? All right, yeah, yeah. So it, it, it, it, you can, um, there's a bunch of different way. It's like Patreon. You could say, "Well, I'm sponsoring the show for 50 bucks worth of sats,"
• 22:37
which are- Okay... which are Bitcoin, right? Sure, sure. They're minuscule amounts of Bitcoin.
• 22:41
And, uh, or for, like, 1,000 sats or something, which is, like, under a dollar, you could ask a question and get it prioritized and have the guys answer your question or something. Hmm.
• 22:52
I don't know, it just seems like it's an interesting thing that kind of decentralizes and democratizes the content creation, where it's not Apple getting the money, it's not Spotify getting the money,
• 23:03
it's the people making the stuff getting the money. Interesting. Hmm. I like it. So let's see. I don't know. I just, I just came upon it the other- Put a link that in the show notes, please. Yes, it's right here.
• 23:13
I think it says, we actually, our show's actually on there now, so I'm sure we're making millions right [laughs] now of sats, which is, like, 90 bucks. I, I was gonna say, like, 10 cents.
• 23:23
Yeah, I don't know, but Patreon seemed like a good idea, but this seems like, how do we, 'cause we've been doing this for a long time, and I'm sure there's hundreds and thousands of people out there that love what we do- I'm sure of it...
• 23:34
that wanna just be like- They love us... "Boy, I wish I could reward those guys somehow, but I don't know how to do it." Send us money. Except when they see us on rides and say- Pretty fucking straightforward...
• 23:42
"Oh, you know, I'd love to buy you a beer." Yeah, well, that's, you can- And that has occurred... that's, like, 1,500 sats. [laughs] Oh. Or whatever it is.
• 23:51
Oh, n- oh, oh- Well, you don't ha- oh, you don't have a- Oh, that's gonna be math. That's fine, but I mean- You don't have a crypto wallet yet, do you? Do I? I don't even know. Probably not. Unless- That's all right...
• 24:03
unless I had a seminar on, uh, it at work and I didn't know kinda how I- Well, it's-... started with Facebook...
• 24:10
it's lightning, it, it's, it's light- Where I had to take the seminar because it was a college campus networking. That's how it began. You do that with Second Life the same time right away? Uh, no.
• 24:21
Uh, I didn't do that one- Okay... but it was available. That one was fucking great. And I was just like... Yeah. Oh, oh, oh, yeah. There... Actually, there is still- Don't get me started, Michael...
• 24:29
there is still a, uh, thing on my floor, speaking of the Arabic program and somebody else that, like, did a whole Second Life. Ugh. Like The Sims, essentially. God- That's kinda how it looks... don't get me started.
• 24:42
Like- Uh-oh. Ooh, sorry. What's, what's... Is, is your bike getting stolen? What's going on? Is that the Pebble making noise? It's the pebbles. This is a, this is the peb- pebble drop. Did you lock up your bike right?
• 24:50
Have your pebbles dropped? [laughs] Sorry, it's my sister who never, ever calls me, so. Oh, interesting. Uh. So you said JK put something in here about, uh... Back to Milwaukee again. Yes... Sw- Swing Park news.
• 25:04
Oh, yeah. They're gonna redevelop it as- Oh, yeah... a playground and bl, bl, bl, bl. Yeah. A, a, a, a more of a real park. Yeah... a commons, a little bit of a theater- Get rid of-... on whatever-...
• 25:18
fucking Casablanca and that place'll be golden down there. [laughs] There is that, yeah. And also- But it's also in just conceptual phase and whatever... sure.
• 25:27
But, uh, I didn't put it in the notes yet, but I will, uh, apparently come the end of this week- Come the end of this week now...
• 25:37
uh, North Avenue is gonna be shut down a bit for reconstruction, and they're gonna try to be making it- [laughs] For, for planter removal... uh, well, they're trying to make it like a Walnut. Ah, well.
• 25:51
Walnut cherry by Speed Queen, how it's just- Maybe people will figure that out. [clears throat] It's, it's a good concept. Well- Protected bike lane... those are... Yeah, when they're poured concrete- Don't-...
• 26:00
fused into the ground... don't park by the curb in your car... uh- Park out there by the cars... oh, no, no, no. I have a feeling this is those, that multi nonsense poured concrete. Like, even as a bicyclist,
• 26:14
I have to think ahead of where I'm gonna turn, you know, to get out of the bike lane and across the street kind of vibe. So that's fine. And yeah, okay if a car wants to ram right through one of those, that's...
• 26:29
It ain't gonna move like the planters did. Right. Right. [laughs] 'Cause that wa- Uh-... that was a, uh- Now I got the hiccups. [laughs] Oh, I know. I was just watching, and I just- [laughs]... I, I just kept rambling.
• 26:38
Da, da, da, da. [laughs] You know? [laughs] It just- It's fine. Got the hiccups over here. Like, do it. There we go. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
• 26:44
[laughs] You took a big- Dude, you were like me eating my, uh- I was like, "What's going on?" I, I- It's, it, it's not going down the right- I was eating a taco yesterday-... the right throat...
• 26:50
and it just kinda went sideways, like right here. Yeah. And I'm like, "Oh, just give me about 40 seconds." Yeah. And the chip will move itself down. It'll soften and go all the way down, and I'll...
• 27:00
You remember just that, ah, satisfying poop? Yeah. That one pass through the duodenum or whatever it is called. I think we're there now, hopefully. [laughs] I'm just here to ramble and talk us through. Yeah.
• 27:15
Thank you for that. [laughs] Did you look at the link for the small music f- small format music venue- Yeah... down there on Mitchell Street? Yeah, yeah, yeah. Is it...
• 27:25
If it's, like, 30, 40 people, maybe a Circle A replacement kind of thing. Uh, yeah, yeah. I just- Maybe. I don't know. I'm curious. I'm always about small format music venues.
• 27:35
It's supposed to be something where people can go experiment and they're just getting going, or who knows? Maybe they'll get the Sex Pistols in there. Mm. Probably not, but maybe. Right, yeah. Um,
• 27:48
yeah, it would just be... Like, now with, uh, Circle A, like, who... Like, how amenable the ownership would be about it. To opening Circle A again? Yeah. Yeah. I think that's kind of, you know- Probably that's-...
• 28:04
something to n- to, to navigate... the ship has probably sailed, but maybe not. Well, yeah. You just... Exactly, or if you introduce it as like- What are you doing over there, Tony?... hey. You hiccuping now too?
• 28:14
[laughs] Jesus, what the hell? He's got the face going. [laughs] Well, gee. All right. Two things to remind everybody of. Please watch the full cut of the Riverwest 24 if you can- I'm good now...
• 28:26
because it's pretty awesome. It's an hour long or whatever, and if you wanna skip to the 8 minute and 39 second portion, you can do that. But- Then, yeah- Hi... you get some of the floor model? Yeah.
• 28:38
Is that the- Oh, yeah... no, that's the same one, right? Yeah. Okay. Yeah, it's cool. I'll watch it again. I'll admit, I have not watched it- Watch it again... so I will. Well, you should watch it.
• 28:45
Everybody should watch it. Don't- I had my jaunty hat on, and I was feeling good. I was feeling- Well- I feel- [laughs] Oh, yeah. Uh, somehow, uh- And I forgot my jaunty hat at the damn riot- Somehow J-...
• 28:54
so I look like a pirate... Jess- Jessica, uh, caught a shot of you on the film, not a digital. Yeah, yeah. It was on the film. I was in the center. I was center of space. All right.
• 29:05
Here's not, here's something I don't exactly understand. How could I just kill a man? No, um- [laughs] How can you... Good, good.
• 29:13
Okay, so why would, why would you shoot film and then digitize it and then make it digital anyway? If you're gonna shoot film, why- Oh... why, why don't you just print it like film is printed?
• 29:28
I don't understand the- To appeal to the masses. Yeah, but I- You have to... Yes, and you have to advertise the- It's more of that-... freedom that you did...
• 29:34
freaking, freaking Leica even has a camera that you can shoot film in that also makes a digital image at the same time. Wow. Right? Why? Have you seen Camp Snap? No. The $65 point and shoot. Yeah.
• 29:51
Is it the big square thing? No, no, it's a little tiny- Oh... it looks like a disposable camera. Yeah. Okay. But it's got an SD card in it, and- There's the SD... it's an eight megapixel camera.
• 30:02
It's- It's like what you leave at the wedding on every table. Exactly. Exactly. Oh, yeah. Only it's digital. Right on. Mm. So I gave one of those to Cleone today. How much are they? $65 normally.
• 30:12
I got a little bit better price on it, but they're frig... They have one button- Yeah... and then a switch for flash on, flash off, or auto. Flash on, flash off. Flash off. The Flashderp. Yep. Do, do, do, whee.
• 30:27
It is just a plain point-and-shoot camera, but digital, and it's cool Yeah For 50 bucks, 60 bucks, Mike, it's per char- USB-C rechargeable, USB-C, you know Put, put a link in the show notes. Snap I, I will throw a...
• 30:44
Yeah So does it, is it one of the ones that you then print out on a little printer thingy? If you want. No, no, this one's got, like...
• 30:50
It's a regular digital camera, so you can just pull it out of your pocket and go like... And then do it 200 times and- Yeah. You know what I did?
• 30:57
I got my dad's old SX-70 Polaroid all refurbishified for not an insignificant amount of money- Yeah, yeah... by Retrospect- Yeah...
• 31:04
right down the street, who does every one of these in the whole country, and I shot a couple packs through, eight, which costs, like, 20 bucks, so they're not cheap. Mm-hmm. And then you go, "Oh yeah, I remember why."
• 31:16
You have to have, like, one million... You have to be out in the sun- Mm-hmm... for the most part, [laughs] or you have to have really, really, really, really, really super bright lights,
• 31:26
otherwise they just really don't work. The potato. The potato phone camera. [laughs] I even had it, I even had it converted to 600, not the original SX-70 film, and I'm like, "Yeah, it's cool, I guess." Yeah.
• 31:38
No, this is- But you- For the money, this is a cute little device. All right. So- I got a hug from her. Yeah. Cleona hasn't hugged me since she was, like, six. Oh. And today she gave me a hug.
• 31:49
Probably afraid of that hair. Could be. [laughs] I have hair. All right, everybody. Uh- 57 years old... uh, what else we got? Rub it in. Rub it in. Oh, you know what? Okay. Rub one out, rub it in.
• 32:00
So the same weekend as Steel Is Real, in case you don't wanna do Steel Is Real- Uh-oh... is the Levis Mound Gnome Fest single speed Wisconsin thing over there at Levis. Mm, gonna skip that.
• 32:10
Some folks are going over there. I, it's a great place to ride, but I- No, no, it's a fantastic place to ride, but- I blame them not for making that decision... I don't have to leave Milwaukee if I do Steel Is Real.
• 32:17
That said, you could always do Steel Is Real and then go there and still have a whole night and day of riding at Levis, if you really wanted to. That's a lot. Yeah, have fun. But- That's a lot to call...
• 32:29
That's a lot, that's a lot to ask of this body. I think we're- It's for the youngins. It's for the youngins... I think we're, I think we're getting a Chewy. Hopefully we're getting a Chewy. Or the- Here? Yeah.
• 32:36
For Steel Is Real? Yeah. Oh, I'm kicking that guy in the nuts. But don't you have an extra bedroom at your house, Tony? Oh, always. He's always welcome at my house. I love him. Yeah, you got an extra bedroom.
• 32:43
First of all, there's- Oh... you got no people in there anymore. Yeah, right. So, hey, Chewy, did you hear that? You can stay at Tony's house. You can... Oh, Chewy. It'll be fine.
• 32:51
Chewy, that door is always open for you, man. [laughs] But to be fair, I don't- I love having Chewy at my house. [laughs] And the door is e-assist. It is. So...
• 32:58
[laughs] I don't have kids at my house anymore either, but it's a little further north. Yours is more centrally located. I, I'm gonna tell you, if Chewy's, if Chewy stays at my house- We should get him to stay...
• 33:06
I'm waking Daniel early so that he can start watching the Minions because Chewy cannot not watch the Minions. I love the Minions. I love the Minions. Who doesn't love the Minions?
• 33:16
So having him sit on the couch- But we-... with Daniel watching the Minions, I'm all for it... but since it's only a week away or two, a week? It's next week, so- Two weeks... but, no, it's a week from this weekend.
• 33:28
Okay. Close. It's a week from Saturday. You're both right. So here's the thing. We should, uh, maybe see if he can, uh, like, River West Retreat, do a test run at River West Retreat. Mm.
• 33:39
We should all do a test run at [laughs] River West Retreat. I think I might pass that... River West Retreat. Folks, we'll talk about that next week. We could book that.
• 33:49
And I think we should, we're gonna have Steve on the show if nothing else about- Uh-uh... the thing 'cause Tony and I did some network stuff over there. Uh, and it's- Uh, I'm, I'm-... it's seriously badass.
• 33:59
It's a very cool facility. It's a very neat space. I'm just gonna tell you right now, if we get to book this for a weekend, I'm naked. Can... Well. What about the bullet in the window?
• 34:10
Are you gonna take that or just leave it? I am gonna be naked through the whole thing- [laughs]... so just get ready. Just gonna parade around my tiny penis- That's not, that is not what-... just like-...
• 34:18
that is not what retreat means. No, it is for me. It means we, means we retreat from your nakedness. [laughs] I'm gonna walk around, my tiny penis hanging out, just like, "Hello, everyone."
• 34:26
There's not a hot tub there yet. Actually, I'm not doing that. I'm not doing that. [laughs] But you could do that. But that is a great- Well, I am going to Miami Beach. You're giving me ideas.
• 34:33
[laughs] It's like I'm a tourist and I'm never gonna see these fucking people again. [laughs] Let it all hang out. I don't- I'll, I'll go Speedo. I don't- I'll, I, I'm looking everything, e- like-
• 34:43
I don't, I'm not like that idea... I'm still pissed off my PS3 is busted, so I can't play my PS2 version of, uh, GTA: Vice City to get me in the vibe. [laughs] In the mood.
• 34:54
You need to get one of those single- But I'm staying at one of the hotels that is- You need-... based off of, like, what the home base is from Vice City... you need to get one of those single ball holder shorts.
• 35:02
Oh, they got the... Yeah, yeah, yeah. Yeah. It's, yeah. It's not the over the shoulder boulder holder? Over the shoulder boulder holder. I, I, I'd like to she- see you walking along the beach. All right.
• 35:10
I don't want to, but I think it'd be fun to have in the show notes. Thank God it's time to be done. [laughs] Oh, fucking A, we have gone downhill fast. [outtro music] Oh, Falsa, do rest in peace. Goodbye, Pee-wee Herman.
• 35:27
  [outtro music]
