- 0:38SPEAKER_01: Say hello to the people.
- 0:40SPEAKER_01: All right, welcome to another episode of Beyond the White Coat Podcast.
- 0:43SPEAKER_01: I have our new newest member of our fur family, Bodhi.
- 0:47SPEAKER_01: So where did you get Bodhi?
- 0:49SPEAKER_01: Bodhi is a samoyed.
- 0:51SPEAKER_01: He is a three-month-old puppy.
- 0:53SPEAKER_01: So now we are a fur family of three, which is fitting.
- 0:57SPEAKER_01: Three kids, three dogs, all the things.
- 0:59SPEAKER_01: Yeah, we picked him up from a breeder on Sunday.
- 1:02SPEAKER_01: It's now Wednesday.
- 1:03SPEAKER_01: This is our fourth day together.
- 1:05SPEAKER_01: And it's been it's been a lot, guys.
- 1:06SPEAKER_01: It's been a whirlwind.
- 1:07SPEAKER_01: It's been a lot.
- 1:08SPEAKER_01: Chacha and I were saying, we both were like, why do we work so hard?
- 1:12SPEAKER_01: How do we do things?
- 1:12SPEAKER_01: And on top of it, I was like, hey, this is a great time to get another dog.
- 1:17SPEAKER_00: Yes.
- 1:18SPEAKER_01: So a lot of We hired a trainer.
- 1:20SPEAKER_01: We did.
- 1:20SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 1:21SPEAKER_01: So one thing I'm very good at is like, or I think I'm very good at knowing where your talents are and knowing how to outsource.
- 1:28SPEAKER_01: So even we're gonna talk tonight a lot about the B3 Summit.
- 1:31SPEAKER_01: I was the first one to be like, okay, we need help, right?
- 1:34SPEAKER_01: I am not gonna pretend to do everything on my own, nor should you, because I think a sign of a good leader is someone who can delegate, right?
- 1:43SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 1:43SPEAKER_01: So we have Olivia, Libby, Aaron, Matt's helping us.
- 1:48SPEAKER_01: Taylor, Taylor.
- 1:50SPEAKER_01: Caitlin is actually jumping.
- 1:51SPEAKER_01: Caitlin has been helping us.
- 1:52SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 1:53SPEAKER_01: Big kudos to Caitlin.
- 1:54SPEAKER_01: She's actually the MVP of the night because she's not only helping with B3, but helping with the menopause mastery.
- 2:00SPEAKER_01: Which, if you're local to Cincinnati, northern Kentucky, anywhere in this area, both Chacha and I are participating in Dr.
- 2:07SPEAKER_01: Susan Oakley's event here Saturday, August 29th.
- 2:12SPEAKER_01: It's in Covington from 8 a.m.
- 2:15SPEAKER_01: to noon.
- 2:15SPEAKER_01: Yes, right.
- 2:16SPEAKER_00: So that is correct.
- 2:17SPEAKER_00: And really excited.
- 2:18SPEAKER_00: This is my second year.
- 2:19SPEAKER_00: You were asking me, like, what are the expecting Yeah, yeah.
- 2:22SPEAKER_01: So tell our listeners a little bit about menopause mastery.
- 2:25SPEAKER_01: And it's been in our show notes, but I'll make sure to link to it.
- 2:29SPEAKER_01: Yes.
- 2:29SPEAKER_00: So it's a bunch of regional experts in the area that it's basically covering everything that's related to all the questions that you could think of when it comes to menopause and the different systems that it affects.
- 2:43SPEAKER_00: It is mind-blowing.
- 2:45SPEAKER_00: Sure.
- 2:45SPEAKER_00: I think we were talking about dentation earlier.
- 2:47SPEAKER_00: Yes.
- 2:48SPEAKER_00: Also, we know there's different changes in the microbiome of the gut as well.
- 2:52SPEAKER_00: Sure.
- 2:53SPEAKER_00: And she's a pelvic surgeon, so she's definitely going to cover that.
- 2:56SPEAKER_00: But we have health and fitness experts, and I will cover skin aesthetics.
- 3:01SPEAKER_00: You will do hormones, peptides, longevity.
- 3:04SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 3:05SPEAKER_00: So this is a fantastic opportunity.
- 3:07SPEAKER_01: And it's a little different from like even what we're doing where you just listen to talks.
- 3:12SPEAKER_01: It sounds like it's a lot more engaging, right?
- 3:14SPEAKER_00: It's very engaging.
- 3:15SPEAKER_00: So the speed dating.
- 3:17SPEAKER_00: It's like speed dating.
- 3:18SPEAKER_00: So there's a group of women that will travel to each particular table, and they'll they get to it's like an open forum.
- 3:25SPEAKER_00: You get to have a very intimate conversation, all the things that you could imagine that you would want to know.
- 3:30SPEAKER_00: And you have that top expert sharing the latest evidence-based practice guidelines.
- 3:36SPEAKER_01: So no, I'm excited because I was like, what do I have to prepare?
- 3:38SPEAKER_01: And she was like, nothing.
- 3:39SPEAKER_01: I'm like, gosh, great.
- 3:40SPEAKER_01: And I have dog hair in my mouth.
- 3:42SPEAKER_01: Yes.
- 3:42SPEAKER_01: Oh my God.
- 3:42SPEAKER_01: And biggest update, everyone.
- 3:44SPEAKER_01: So if you're watching, I I do have makeup on, which I usually don't wear makeup in general, let alone on the podcast.
- 3:50SPEAKER_01: But we're hopefully gonna turn some of today's recording into some clips and generate some traction for the summit.
- 3:57SPEAKER_01: But also I got lip filler today.
- 4:01SPEAKER_01: Y'all know if you've been a longtime listener, nothing makes me happier than getting my face beat up and then getting right on camera.
- 4:08SPEAKER_01: Like there's so many.
- 4:10SPEAKER_01: There's uh an episode where I just got in a VIP all and I have like the little hair thing in, you know.
- 4:16SPEAKER_01: Oh my god, there's so much.
- 4:17SPEAKER_00: I love that about you.
- 4:18SPEAKER_00: You are so transparent.
- 4:19SPEAKER_00: Oh, I don't care.
- 4:20SPEAKER_00: It's so important to share your beauty secrets.
- 4:23SPEAKER_00: Right?
- 4:23SPEAKER_01: Yeah, because oh my god, again, this dog hair is going to kill me, but I'm gonna do this the entire podcast.
- 4:29SPEAKER_01: People who say it drives me nuts, like the false advertisement.
- 4:34SPEAKER_01: I'm not gonna name names, but there is someone that I know, and she's a huge following, and I like this person.
- 4:39SPEAKER_01: I'm I am gonna talk shit, but and she talks all the time about how Botox can cause she's not an a medical professional, I should say, how Botox can cause atrophy in the muscles.
- 4:53SPEAKER_01: I mean, just all the things like essentially like poo-pooing it and like you shouldn't do it.
- 4:57SPEAKER_01: And then I get on with her and we talk, and she's like telling me about how like she just got treated, and like she was even explained to me, like, oh Megan, you have to get like your DAO injected so that your frown doesn't turn down and like I'm like, girl, why are you being fake?
- 5:12SPEAKER_01: Like, who cares?
- 5:13SPEAKER_01: Just be honest.
- 5:14SPEAKER_01: Like, I have no shame in that game.
- 5:16SPEAKER_00: I'm like really transparent about all the vials of sculpture that I had.
- 5:20SPEAKER_00: Oh, yeah.
- 5:20SPEAKER_01: Last week you like a little chipmunk for the last episode.
- 5:23SPEAKER_01: It's like, don't look at my face.
- 5:24SPEAKER_01: Oh, it's fine.
- 5:25SPEAKER_01: I'm here for it.
- 5:26SPEAKER_00: Oh, Megan, what are we going to do?
- 5:28SPEAKER_00: We are just so like little busy bees.
- 5:31SPEAKER_00: Yeah, it's been a lot, y'all.
- 5:33SPEAKER_00: You don't know till you know, right?
- 5:35SPEAKER_01: You don't know your limits until I keep I told you today that I look at my life every single day.
- 5:40SPEAKER_01: It's just like a chessboard of logistics, especially with this little guy who's sitting in my lap.
- 5:46SPEAKER_01: You know, so my whole thought process of my day is like, okay, it's called forward thinking, backwards planning, right?
- 5:53SPEAKER_01: So we're I knew the end of today I needed to be here doing this is the podcast.
- 5:58SPEAKER_01: And so thinking backwards of like between the three dogs, who needs to eat, because one thing you have to manage with, especially with new animals, are resources.
- 6:08SPEAKER_01: So when dogs may get aggressive towards one another, especially the beginning, is like how how have they been towards each other?
- 6:14SPEAKER_01: Food, water, and attention.
- 6:15SPEAKER_01: They've been good.
- 6:16SPEAKER_01: I wouldn't say it's been great.
- 6:18SPEAKER_01: We do use e-collars for our older dogs right now just to keep everyone safe, essentially.
- 6:27SPEAKER_01: Our so our male Weimariner Pitbull is fine.
- 6:30SPEAKER_01: He actually could care less about anything.
- 6:32SPEAKER_01: He's 15.
- 6:32SPEAKER_01: But our Siberian Husky, who's a female, is she's definitely the queen of the house.
- 6:37SPEAKER_01: Like she's sitting at your feet right now, and she's hoarding all of Bodhi's new toys.
- 6:41SPEAKER_01: Yeah, I see that.
- 6:42SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 6:43SPEAKER_01: She'll literally like bury them under her fur.
- 6:46SPEAKER_01: And because she's trying to establish her dominance, which is fine.
- 6:49SPEAKER_01: So she definitely she had a little reaction to Bodhi.
- 6:53SPEAKER_01: There was a little incident.
- 6:54SPEAKER_01: And you know, I diffuse the situation.
- 6:56SPEAKER_01: So we're definitely on high alert with just again making sure everyone is safe, feeding them separately, putting Bodhi in his crate when I think like they just need a break from one another.
- 7:06SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 7:06SPEAKER_01: But they're getting better.
- 7:07SPEAKER_01: I mean, even last night and today when I came home getting dressed, um, Nova was laying underneath the bathroom sink and Bodhi was just staring at her.
- 7:15SPEAKER_01: And I was sitting there thinking, like, oh my god, is she gonna leap and bite him?
- 7:19SPEAKER_01: But her tail like started wagging and they started like making noises to each other.
- 7:22SPEAKER_01: So I was like, okay.
- 7:23SPEAKER_00: Like great communication there.
- 7:25SPEAKER_00: Yeah, but yeah, I mean, what's keeping you busy?
- 7:28SPEAKER_00: Jeez.
- 7:28SPEAKER_00: See, I had a training over the weekend.
- 7:31SPEAKER_00: What was that for?
- 7:33SPEAKER_00: A another provider who owns her own practice shout out to Tina.
- 7:37SPEAKER_00: She had me um come out do a panfacial rejuvenation training.
- 7:42SPEAKER_00: Cool.
- 7:42SPEAKER_00: And so that was that was Sunday.
- 7:45SPEAKER_00: So I work on Saturday.
- 7:46SPEAKER_00: So I haven't I don't think I've had a day off in like three weeks.
- 7:49SPEAKER_00: So training and then deal, I would say dealing with mom and dad's health care.
- 7:54SPEAKER_00: Um, my dad has Parkinson's and so taking care of him, and then my mother is uh very little health problems, but the problem is she has English challenges, so I'm always translating and helping her go through her legal stuff as well.
- 8:11SPEAKER_00: Sure.
- 8:11SPEAKER_00: So and then on top of that, we had, I think the last time I shared, one of our friends passed away, and so we're kind of managing that and going through Yeah.
- 8:21SPEAKER_00: But I wanted to say something that we have gained like an additional 250 followers.
- 8:27SPEAKER_00: Thank you for following.
- 8:28SPEAKER_00: Thank you so much for following us.
- 8:31SPEAKER_00: And I think for our new viewership, we sure let's talk about let's break this B3 thing down.
- 8:37SPEAKER_00: Yes, yeah.
- 8:38SPEAKER_01: So we are having a we're hosting a summit.
- 8:41SPEAKER_01: We are T minus four weeks away, actually.
- 8:44SPEAKER_00: Can you believe that?
- 8:45SPEAKER_01: I know that was which means I have to run a marathon in five weeks.
- 8:49SPEAKER_01: So let's just not even talk about that.
- 8:51SPEAKER_00: So let's talk about the B3 subject.
- 8:53SPEAKER_01: Yeah, so B3 stands for beauty, biology, and beyond.
- 8:56SPEAKER_01: Why are we doing this?
- 8:58SPEAKER_00: You know, I think that it's the reason why I see you, and it's the reason why you see me, right?
- 9:03SPEAKER_00: You trust me, yeah, and I trust you, and we're both very experienced.
- 9:07SPEAKER_00: So, in a world where you're inundated with all types of information and all types of opportunities to kind of I call it go down a black hole.
- 9:17SPEAKER_00: Sure.
- 9:18SPEAKER_00: All this misinformation is coming to you, all these different trends.
- 9:21SPEAKER_01: Oh my gosh.
- 9:22SPEAKER_00: Our panels sperm facials are top in the industry.
- 9:27SPEAKER_00: Oh, yeah, absolutely.
- 9:28SPEAKER_00: And it's and I think that I was sharing with one of my colleagues that there's never gonna be a time, I think, or opportunity to have this level of expertise in one room for two days.
- 9:40SPEAKER_00: Sure.
- 9:41SPEAKER_00: Right?
- 9:41SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 9:42SPEAKER_00: So we are in an area of medicine that's forever changing, but we have the same common goals.
- 9:49SPEAKER_00: And that is health has to be a priority.
- 9:52SPEAKER_00: Okay.
- 9:53SPEAKER_00: And who can you trust in regards to all these different things that you are hearing and seeing?
- 10:00SPEAKER_00: And so this is an opportunity for everybody, the providers, layman people, educators, to come out and ask those relevant questions with trusted experts.
- 10:11SPEAKER_00: So I know we've put together a jam-packed panel.
- 10:16SPEAKER_00: Yeah, we have a lot of great speakers.
- 10:17SPEAKER_01: Should we break them down?
- 10:18SPEAKER_00: Yeah, let's highlight it.
- 10:20SPEAKER_01: All right, I'll start.
- 10:21SPEAKER_01: I'll start with our keynote speaker, my friend, brother from another mother, longtime business partner, Vince Pitstick.
- 10:30SPEAKER_01: I think on social media he could he identifies as a celebrity health coach, which he is.
- 10:38SPEAKER_00: Vince is very famous.
- 10:39SPEAKER_00: Yes, yes.
- 10:40SPEAKER_00: Don't make his ego any bigger than it is.
- 10:42SPEAKER_00: No, I'm just kidding.
- 10:43SPEAKER_00: So we're very privileged to have Vince come to Cincinnati.
- 10:46SPEAKER_00: Vince is from Cincinnati, right?
- 10:48SPEAKER_01: He was born and raised in Illinois, but lived in Cincinnati for a very long time.
- 10:52SPEAKER_01: And that's how we met.
- 10:53SPEAKER_01: So Vince was my patient.
- 10:55SPEAKER_01: He's now the founder and CEO of Vital Enterprises, of which a segment of that is Vital Medical.
- 11:00SPEAKER_01: We co-owned together and Vital Coaching, which is the largest health coaching company in the country.
- 11:06SPEAKER_01: And yeah, he is not just a coach.
- 11:09SPEAKER_01: I mean, he is definitely an entrepreneur, he's a visionary, he helps heal impossible cases for people.
- 11:15SPEAKER_01: And he's also a kind human.
- 11:17SPEAKER_01: And we we were talking actually the other night, and he was just sharing with me, you know, that we've been through a lot together.
- 11:24SPEAKER_01: We've seen a lot, we've done a lot, we've failed a lot, and he's very excited to be a part of B3 and to share his message.
- 11:32SPEAKER_01: And he's he's really, really inspiring and can really help people feel heard, especially if you've been to a million, you know, providers before.
- 11:42SPEAKER_01: You've been told that your labs are fine and there's nothing wrong with you.
- 11:46SPEAKER_01: You've had what we call the million-dollar workup, right?
- 11:49SPEAKER_01: Vince is very good at identifying pitfalls in conventional medicine and using holistic therapy to help heal people.
- 11:57SPEAKER_01: He also has a huge genetics arm.
- 12:01SPEAKER_01: So he uh owns a company called Doxa D-O-X-A, which is an advanced genetic test that can really help to identify and not just say, like, hey, these are what's wrong with your genes, but it actually the test spits out protocols and what supplements to use, what not to use, peptide therapy, hormones, all the things.
- 12:23SPEAKER_01: So very excited.
- 12:24SPEAKER_01: So that's Vince.
- 12:25SPEAKER_01: All right, you go.
- 12:26SPEAKER_00: So actually you'll be able to jump on this, but I've had several attendees or people have registered that's really excited to meet Erica Lugo.
- 12:35SPEAKER_01: My girl, Erica Lugo.
- 12:37SPEAKER_01: Yes.
- 12:37SPEAKER_01: Erica Lugo.
- 12:39SPEAKER_01: I can't say enough nice things about her.
- 12:41SPEAKER_01: Well, and she's like the nicest person.
- 12:42SPEAKER_01: She's like a walking example of what transition and transformation was like.
- 12:47SPEAKER_01: 100%.
- 12:48SPEAKER_01: So she was a celebrity trainer on the biggest loser, went through her own.
- 12:52SPEAKER_01: I want to say it's a I want to say it's 160 pounds, but at least 100 pound weight loss very publicly.
- 12:58SPEAKER_01: She also is a thyroid cancer survivor.
- 13:01SPEAKER_01: She's a mom.
- 13:02SPEAKER_01: She's one of the reasons I have three dogs because she had four.
- 13:05SPEAKER_01: Um, her oldest dog, Porter, did pass away a few months ago, but she was like, girl, if I can have four, you can have three.
- 13:10SPEAKER_01: I always remember that conversation.
- 13:12SPEAKER_01: I was like, okay.
- 13:13SPEAKER_01: Kind person.
- 13:14SPEAKER_01: She's a friend.
- 13:15SPEAKER_01: She's so smart and she is strikingly beautiful.
- 13:19SPEAKER_01: She again, she's one of those people when you're next to her, you're like, I don't know, people really look like this.
- 13:23SPEAKER_01: Like she's she's stunning.
- 13:24SPEAKER_01: Tall and yeah, just stunning.
- 13:27SPEAKER_01: We are so excited to have her.
- 13:28SPEAKER_00: And you've probably seen her, or if you don't know, she was a trainer on the biggest loser.
- 13:33SPEAKER_00: Is that correct?
- 13:34SPEAKER_00: Yes, yes.
- 13:35SPEAKER_00: So we have uh our another celebrity.
- 13:37SPEAKER_00: So Vince is a celebrity and then Erica's a celebrity.
- 13:40SPEAKER_00: Yes.
- 13:41SPEAKER_00: And our local celebrity, which we've already touched upon, who we love is Dr.
- 13:45SPEAKER_00: Susan Oakley, who is very well known to the area.
- 13:50SPEAKER_00: And she is going to be talking about all things women's health related to pelvic dysfunction, when it's time to seek potentially surgery.
- 13:59SPEAKER_00: And when you're so there's gonna be different interventions, she's gonna teach you all about the three holes.
- 14:04SPEAKER_00: The three holes.
- 14:05SPEAKER_00: She's so funny, she's so funny, and so generous with her time.
- 14:10SPEAKER_00: Yes, yes, and she's she's gonna be there and also I think we're gonna have like a women's panel, right?
- 14:16SPEAKER_00: Where everybody, so everybody's gonna be able together and be able to answer all the questions from the audience.
- 14:22SPEAKER_00: You're gonna be speaking.
- 14:24SPEAKER_00: Okay, who hears about that?
- 14:25SPEAKER_00: Moving on.
- 14:26SPEAKER_00: We need to know because I I'm I need to ask Aaron, our social media queen, yes, why she's not pumping you up.
- 14:33SPEAKER_01: Probably because I told her not to.
- 14:35SPEAKER_01: I'm like, Aaron, don't talk about me.
- 14:36SPEAKER_01: No one knows.
- 14:37SPEAKER_01: What are you gonna be talking about, Megan?
- 14:39SPEAKER_01: I am gonna be talking about the good, the bad, and the skinny of GOP1 therapy.
- 14:44SPEAKER_01: Yeah it is, you know, it's one of those topics I'm always like, aren't people tired of talking about GLP1s?
- 14:50SPEAKER_01: But whenever we put out a QA or we survey our patients or we survey community, every when I ask what do people want to know more about, it's always GLP1 therapy.
- 14:59SPEAKER_01: So I'm gonna be talking about again, just a high-level view what they are, go through a lot of misnomers.
- 15:05SPEAKER_01: So, like, what are the top myths about GLP ones?
- 15:09SPEAKER_01: Like, I and I hear this from my patients every single day.
- 15:12SPEAKER_01: I heard that they cause osteopenia.
- 15:14SPEAKER_01: I heard they cause blindness, I heard that they cause depression.
- 15:18SPEAKER_01: I heard they're going to give me cancer, right?
- 15:21SPEAKER_01: And so I'm going to go through the science, but we'll keep it fun.
- 15:24SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 15:24SPEAKER_01: So that's what I'm going to talk about.
- 15:26SPEAKER_01: What are you going to talk about?
- 15:28SPEAKER_00: Ooh, I'm going to talk about why aesthetics is medicine.
- 15:32SPEAKER_00: I'm so sick and tired of people saying, You're a nurse practitioner and you inject people's faces.
- 15:37SPEAKER_00: Right.
- 15:37SPEAKER_01: They think that you're selling like lip gloss, like you work at Sephora.
- 15:40SPEAKER_00: Like, do you know what I went through?
- 15:42SPEAKER_00: I have plastic surgery experience.
- 15:44SPEAKER_00: I've been in this industry for almost 10 years.
- 15:46SPEAKER_01: If someone is putting hyaluronic acid through with a needle in your face, I want them to have a frickin' the highest level of education about the facial anatomy.
- 15:57SPEAKER_00: I'm going to be discussing the 12 hallmarks of aging and how we address that.
- 16:02SPEAKER_00: Kind of like the 12 days of Christmas.
- 16:03SPEAKER_00: The 12 days of Christmas.
- 16:04SPEAKER_00: Oh my God, Christmas is around the corner.
- 16:06SPEAKER_00: It is around the corner.
- 16:08SPEAKER_00: We're literally walking into fall.
- 16:09SPEAKER_01: And before we know, Michelle already started, my housekeeper this morning was like, okay, do you want to talk about like holiday travel?
- 16:14SPEAKER_01: And I was like, Michelle, I got to get through the next four weeks.
- 16:17SPEAKER_01: I was like, girl, when I get back from Europe and I run a marathon, we can talk again.
- 16:21SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 16:21SPEAKER_00: Okay, so you're going to talk about I'll be talking about the 12 hallmarks of aging.
- 16:25SPEAKER_00: Okay.
- 16:25SPEAKER_00: And then I will be talking about my favorite treatment sculptra.
- 16:29SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 16:29SPEAKER_00: Which I have to like like sponsor you as a person.
- 16:33SPEAKER_00: Galderma is one of our sponsors.
- 16:35SPEAKER_00: It is one of our sponsors.
- 16:37SPEAKER_00: Thank you, Gal Derma.
- 16:39SPEAKER_01: Thank you for my face.
- 16:40SPEAKER_01: This is going to be my tagline.
- 16:41SPEAKER_01: When I see them, it'll be like thank you for my face.
- 16:43SPEAKER_00: And then I'm going to put up a case study in which I love that.
- 16:46SPEAKER_00: They say put your money where your mouth is.
- 16:48SPEAKER_00: I'm pulling a patient in that I did all regenerative stuff on her in her case study.
- 16:54SPEAKER_01: So real tea, real quick.
- 16:56SPEAKER_01: Today, as Tasha's about to inject my face, she's like, So have you started working on your talk?
- 17:00SPEAKER_01: And I was like, Girl, what?
- 17:01SPEAKER_01: I'm going to do it two days before.
- 17:03SPEAKER_01: What are you talking about?
- 17:04SPEAKER_01: She's like, I've been working on my talk.
- 17:05SPEAKER_01: I was like, no.
- 17:06SPEAKER_00: Actually, I probably spent about I read 10 articles last night and stayed up till about three o'clock in the morning.
- 17:13SPEAKER_00: I'm like, don't do that.
- 17:14SPEAKER_00: My I don't have time for that.
- 17:16SPEAKER_00: My SD, my beautiful SD queen, Caitlin, reminded me that I sent her something at five o'clock in the morning.
- 17:23SPEAKER_00: So she probably thinks I could I'm a complete cycle.
- 17:26SPEAKER_00: Don't have a response.
- 17:27SPEAKER_01: And also remember, your your audience is my mom.
- 17:30SPEAKER_01: So literally, my mom's coming.
- 17:32SPEAKER_01: So she won't know anything.
- 17:33SPEAKER_01: She's gonna be like, oh, that's so nice.
- 17:34SPEAKER_00: I don't know what you're talking about.
- 17:35SPEAKER_00: Do you know?
- 17:35SPEAKER_00: You know, I always want to make sure that I am presenting top level evidence.
- 17:40SPEAKER_00: And just also be yourself.
- 17:42SPEAKER_00: Oh, yeah, for sure.
- 17:43SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 17:43SPEAKER_00: I'm I'm I'm gonna talk about one of the treatments that I love so much was the OG microneedling and how we went like viral with that.
- 17:52SPEAKER_00: And that was just like about microneedling.
- 17:54SPEAKER_00: It wasn't about sex, it wasn't about dates, it wasn't about although you probably could microneedle your hoo-ha, right?
- 18:00SPEAKER_01: To like tighten your labia, it'd be so painful.
- 18:03SPEAKER_01: Wow.
- 18:03SPEAKER_01: It would be.
- 18:04SPEAKER_01: But I mean, I saw something the other day not about injecting the what is it?
- 18:09SPEAKER_01: Yeah, PRP Botox in the vulva, not in the because you can do Botox in the bladder for like urinary infrequency.
- 18:16SPEAKER_00: There, there, there's clinical research out there that talks about PRP and a botulinum toxin.
- 18:21SPEAKER_00: So in your vulva?
- 18:23SPEAKER_00: In in your vagina to like have better sexual health and function.
- 18:27SPEAKER_01: So we have you came between my lens with the needle, you would get kicked in the face.
- 18:33SPEAKER_01: I just want to tell you that right now.
- 18:34SPEAKER_00: Well, I mean, I'm supposed me asking you to be a model.
- 18:37SPEAKER_01: No, no.
- 18:38SPEAKER_01: Actually, I know who would be a model.
- 18:40SPEAKER_01: I won't say it right now, but it's one of our close friends.
- 18:42SPEAKER_00: Actually, do you know how many people?
- 18:44SPEAKER_00: I was just joking.
- 18:45SPEAKER_00: I was asking, I was telling my patients, and sometimes I'll do surveys and say, hey, what would you think?
- 18:50SPEAKER_00: And they're like, use me as a model.
- 18:52SPEAKER_00: So girl, no.
- 18:54SPEAKER_00: Let's talk about Michael Mercer.
- 18:55SPEAKER_00: Michael Mercer.
- 18:56SPEAKER_00: I knew okay.
- 18:57SPEAKER_01: I was excited for Michael Mercer.
- 18:59SPEAKER_01: I'll just be honest.
- 19:00SPEAKER_01: So, Michael, if you haven't listened to he's been on the podcast twice, go back and listen to his episode.
- 19:05SPEAKER_01: He's trying to get out of this talk.
- 19:06SPEAKER_01: And I was like, I told him absolutely not.
- 19:08SPEAKER_01: That's what I told him.
- 19:09SPEAKER_00: Michael is brilliant.
- 19:10SPEAKER_00: Like literally Michael.
- 19:12SPEAKER_00: You have to give a talk.
- 19:13SPEAKER_00: He is an innate entrepreneur.
- 19:15SPEAKER_00: He was born to be an entrepreneur.
- 19:16SPEAKER_00: Yes.
- 19:17SPEAKER_00: So just the way he strategizes things, the conversations that I've had with him, he's brilliant.
- 19:22SPEAKER_01: And I told you, I'm like, if one of us has to stand on stage with him to help him through his talk, we will do that.
- 19:28SPEAKER_00: Wait, you know what my favorite thing is is as we're asking our speakers to submit their pictures, it's like literally Michael in a t-shirt, and that's exactly who he is.
- 19:37SPEAKER_00: With Emoha.
- 19:38SPEAKER_00: And so if you're coming to the summit and you see Michael, he's gonna be the only one in a t-shirt and a pair of shorts.
- 19:45SPEAKER_00: Yeah, just so you know.
- 19:46SPEAKER_00: And that's just to make it a little bit more.
- 19:47SPEAKER_01: Like biking shorts and probably a hat, and I'm gonna rip it off his head before he gets on stage.
- 19:51SPEAKER_00: All right, next.
- 19:51SPEAKER_00: Uh, Dr.
- 19:52SPEAKER_00: Jeremy Watson.
- 19:55SPEAKER_01: I have known, I've told this story on the podcast before.
- 19:58SPEAKER_01: So Dr.
- 19:58SPEAKER_01: Jeremy Watson is a holistic chiropractor out of a very small town that I grew up in, named Amherst, Ohio, which is west of Cleveland.
- 20:06SPEAKER_01: Jeremy and I have known each other since we were babies.
- 20:09SPEAKER_01: He's a few years older than me, and his mom was my first babysitter.
- 20:13SPEAKER_01: And we spent, I think it was 22 Thanksgivings together.
- 20:17SPEAKER_01: I'll have to get the accurate count from our parents.
- 20:19SPEAKER_01: So literally, we've been in each other's.
- 20:21SPEAKER_01: I can't wait till you introduce him because I want you to say that.
- 20:24SPEAKER_01: I will.
- 20:24SPEAKER_01: I will.
- 20:24SPEAKER_01: I'll get the actual count from my mom.
- 20:27SPEAKER_01: So when I was telling my mom about the summit, she's like, Oh, that's nice.
- 20:30SPEAKER_01: You're having an event.
- 20:31SPEAKER_01: And I was like, and guess who's coming to speak?
- 20:33SPEAKER_01: I was like, Jeremy Watson.
- 20:34SPEAKER_01: She's like, oh my God, I'll I totally want to come listen to him.
- 20:37SPEAKER_01: I'm like, you didn't want to come when I said it was gonna have a summit, but you should see Jeremy.
- 20:42SPEAKER_01: She's like, oh my God, he's amazing.
- 20:44SPEAKER_01: I follow him on Facebook.
- 20:46SPEAKER_01: I was like, thanks, mom.
- 20:47SPEAKER_01: I appreciate it.
- 20:48SPEAKER_01: No, he's he is a wealth of knowledge.
- 20:50SPEAKER_01: I still remember actually, I was in college, maybe in my first graduate program, and I went to hear him talk, and he gave a really, really, you know, a brilliant town hall.
- 21:01SPEAKER_01: And again, where we grew up was so small, just talking, reminding people about how um, you know, food is medicine and how to heal yourself.
- 21:09SPEAKER_01: And he's he's a really brilliant guy.
- 21:11SPEAKER_01: He's really smart, he's really cool, he chops wood.
- 21:14SPEAKER_01: I mean, growing up, like his him and his family used to like hunt the turkey and kill it, and like they're like real men, yeah, as we would say, and he's and he's really smart, so he's a cool guy.
- 21:25SPEAKER_00: Okay.
- 21:25SPEAKER_00: I have my one of my best friends and mentors, Afsha.
- 21:30SPEAKER_00: I was like, Thank God you were gonna introduce her because I know I always say her name wrong.
- 21:33SPEAKER_01: I'm like Ofsha.
- 21:35SPEAKER_01: And she's so beautiful when I saw her picture.
- 21:37SPEAKER_01: Oh my gosh.
- 21:38SPEAKER_00: So so brilliant.
- 21:39SPEAKER_00: Uh so a backstory.
- 21:41SPEAKER_00: And I don't know if she would want me to share this, but I'm gonna share it.
- 21:44SPEAKER_00: Still the team.
- 21:45SPEAKER_00: I remember Afsha and I worked together at an aesthetics practice.
- 21:49SPEAKER_00: She worked at a different location, but under the same umbrella, like the same company.
- 21:53SPEAKER_00: And I remember just how incredibly talented she was because I was responsible for.
- 22:00SPEAKER_00: Essentially recruiting her.
- 22:01SPEAKER_00: Immediately we connected because we are so big in research.
- 22:05SPEAKER_00: And she was working at Cleveland Clinic.
- 22:08SPEAKER_00: And so I had to pull her away from just this is an amazing institution.
- 22:12SPEAKER_00: And so we were lucky to capture her in that time.
- 22:16SPEAKER_00: But one of the things that we both went through was a very difficult and challenging working atmosphere.
- 22:23SPEAKER_00: So we really bonded.
- 22:25SPEAKER_00: But to see her be a one solo provider, grow it into three practices and be able to partner with private equity and see her success and see her continue to grow, just absolutely.
- 22:44SPEAKER_00: Because we started, what did they say?
- 22:45SPEAKER_00: We started from together from the bottom and now we're here.
- 22:49SPEAKER_00: And then just to have her come, and she's so sought out.
- 22:53SPEAKER_00: She's also a Galderma trainer.
- 22:54SPEAKER_00: So I didn't know.
- 22:55SPEAKER_00: So again, they they recognize her.
- 22:57SPEAKER_00: Thank you for my face.
- 22:58SPEAKER_00: Right?
- 22:58SPEAKER_00: Yes.
- 22:59SPEAKER_00: So they recognized her talent, scooped her up as a Galderma trainer.
- 23:03SPEAKER_00: And you know, I remember when we were talking about opportunities for women of color and where we want to take take a stand in the aesthetics medicine.
- 23:12SPEAKER_00: And so to see her make it and continue to thrive is just so heartwarming.
- 23:17SPEAKER_00: So I'm probably most excited.
- 23:19SPEAKER_00: I'm excited.
- 23:20SPEAKER_00: I'm excited.
- 23:21SPEAKER_01: I feel like she's like this big unicorn, and I've been so pumped to meet her.
- 23:26SPEAKER_00: Yeah, talking about her.
- 23:27SPEAKER_00: I'm excited.
- 23:28SPEAKER_00: Okay, Jason.
- 23:29SPEAKER_00: Let me tell you, yeah.
- 23:31SPEAKER_00: Oh my goodness.
- 23:32SPEAKER_00: So one of my patients came in and she's like, Why didn't you tell me that Jason is a speaker?
- 23:37SPEAKER_00: And I'm like, This is Jason Theobold.
- 23:40SPEAKER_01: Yes.
- 23:40SPEAKER_01: Yes.
- 23:40SPEAKER_01: Yeah, he's a good person.
- 23:42SPEAKER_00: And so I said, I'm like, you know Jason.
- 23:44SPEAKER_00: She's like, Do I know Jason?
- 23:45SPEAKER_01: He's got a cult, he's a cult following.
- 23:48SPEAKER_00: She's like, I'm obsessed with him, and everybody else that I know in this the workout space.
- 23:52SPEAKER_00: She owns her own uh gym or whatever.
- 23:55SPEAKER_00: And she's like, I'm there just for him.
- 23:57SPEAKER_00: If anything else, I'm just coming to support Jason.
- 24:00SPEAKER_00: She's obsessed with him.
- 24:02SPEAKER_01: No, he's a great guy.
- 24:03SPEAKER_01: So Jason Theobold, he is the owner of what's called Scooby Prep.
- 24:07SPEAKER_01: He's also a co-founder and owner of Advanced Vitality Medical Practice, which is founded by Troy Scott and Dr.
- 24:15SPEAKER_01: John Mendelson.
- 24:17SPEAKER_01: And we used to work together.
- 24:18SPEAKER_01: So I was their clinical director for a couple years.
- 24:21SPEAKER_01: Jay is a great human, great guy.
- 24:24SPEAKER_01: He is so smart.
- 24:26SPEAKER_01: He's again like Vince, where like you meet him and especially Jay, because Jay again was an IFBB pro, so he's like a jacked guy.
- 24:34SPEAKER_01: Oh my God, he is.
- 24:35SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 24:35SPEAKER_01: He looks so fit.
- 24:36SPEAKER_01: Like he is just all I mean, like his biceps are as big as my whole body, but he's super quiet, super calm.
- 24:43SPEAKER_01: And true statement, he's an attorney.
- 24:45SPEAKER_01: So he went to law school, practiced in law, and then, you know, just really kind of followed his passion and made a business out of it.
- 24:53SPEAKER_01: He's also married to like the kindest person.
- 24:56SPEAKER_01: Shout out to Aria Adamy.
- 24:59SPEAKER_01: She is amazing and just a really, really wonderful woman.
- 25:03SPEAKER_01: I when we were looking for a dog, she's huge in the pet rescue scene.
- 25:08SPEAKER_01: They foster like a thousand dogs.
- 25:10SPEAKER_01: Jason's always like, oh no, Arya brings dogs home every single day.
- 25:13SPEAKER_01: So she was really helpful for helping me navigate that.
- 25:16SPEAKER_01: So I'm very excited.
- 25:18SPEAKER_01: He's wicked smart.
- 25:19SPEAKER_01: He works mostly now with like everyday women, not really like fitness competitors, similar to Vince in kind of healing those hard cases and you know, diving deep.
- 25:29SPEAKER_01: They Vince and Jason are longtime friends as well, and they own a supplement company together called New Ethics.
- 25:36SPEAKER_01: So yeah, so they've been long-term friends, and we yeah, we're just really grateful.
- 25:40SPEAKER_00: He's from northern Kentucky, so we get to yes, yes, and that's why he has this cult following.
- 25:46SPEAKER_00: Yes, yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 25:47SPEAKER_00: Talk about Liz and Becca.
- 25:49SPEAKER_00: Oh, Liz and Becca.
- 25:50SPEAKER_00: So the Fit Moms, yes, yeah.
- 25:52SPEAKER_01: So I I saw that they have an enormous podcast.
- 25:56SPEAKER_01: Yes.
- 25:57SPEAKER_01: So The Healthful Pursuit.
- 25:59SPEAKER_01: Um, it used to be called the Fit Mom.
- 26:01SPEAKER_01: So they own, so it's Liz Roman, and I'm gonna butcher your last name, and I love you so much.
- 26:06SPEAKER_01: Becca Chilawensky, I think that's how you say it.
- 26:08SPEAKER_01: Again, I would consider them good friends.
- 26:10SPEAKER_01: The day after I ran this insane marathon, I flew to Chicago just to hang out with them and get wasted, and it was so fun.
- 26:17SPEAKER_01: Like three people in the health space, like having espresso martinis until four o'clock in the morning was great.
- 26:22SPEAKER_01: It sounds like an amazing game.
- 26:23SPEAKER_01: We have we have so much fun when we're together.
- 26:26SPEAKER_01: I don't know why.
- 26:27SPEAKER_01: I just like adore them so much.
- 26:29SPEAKER_01: How'd you meet them?
- 26:30SPEAKER_01: So through Vince.
- 26:32SPEAKER_01: So they I'm gonna get the story right.
- 26:34SPEAKER_01: So Liz Roman and her husband Art had a kind of like CrossFit-esque gym space, kind of, and Becca trained there and they became friends, and then they started like coaching people.
- 26:47SPEAKER_01: They both were clients of Vince's, and then spun up decided to start their own kind of holistic health coaching practice, and then they just turned it into this multi-million dollar mecca ecosystem.
- 27:00SPEAKER_01: They have the healthful pursuit podcast, it's amazing.
- 27:04SPEAKER_01: Um, their clients just get such great care and they're so wicked smart.
- 27:08SPEAKER_01: Like they bring me, it's so funny.
- 27:10SPEAKER_01: I'll meet with them, they'll be like, Hey, can we talk about a client?
- 27:13SPEAKER_01: I'm like, sure.
- 27:13SPEAKER_01: They're like breaking down all this blood work and stuff.
- 27:16SPEAKER_01: And and I'm like, do you have a question for me?
- 27:19SPEAKER_01: Because I think I think you got it figured out.
- 27:21SPEAKER_01: Like you you just need a prescription.
- 27:22SPEAKER_01: Cool.
- 27:22SPEAKER_01: Yes, the answer's yes.
- 27:24SPEAKER_01: What's their name and date of birth?
- 27:25SPEAKER_01: Right.
- 27:25SPEAKER_01: So they're they're really great.
- 27:27SPEAKER_01: And they're also doing a big giveaway.
- 27:30SPEAKER_01: Um, so definitely want to come for them.
- 27:32SPEAKER_00: Oh, talking about giveaways, didn't we calculate out about$20,000 in giveaways?
- 27:39SPEAKER_00: Yes.
- 27:39SPEAKER_00: $20,000.
- 27:41SPEAKER_00: Shout out to our sponsors, and we're gonna roll that out as well.
- 27:45SPEAKER_00: We're gonna make you want to come.
- 27:46SPEAKER_00: I like want all the things.
- 27:48SPEAKER_00: I want to like I want to win.
- 27:50SPEAKER_00: I want to win all this stuff.
- 27:51SPEAKER_00: Yeah, I want to listen to everyone.
- 27:53SPEAKER_00: I think Alderma's giveaway package is over five thousand dollars by itself.
- 27:58SPEAKER_00: And then we have some incredible sponsors, ZO skincare, collagen pen.
- 28:02SPEAKER_00: Um, it's just we were talking about I told them that we had a viral clip that went on microneedling.
- 28:13SPEAKER_01: Oh my god, my face is so sore, you guys.
- 28:15SPEAKER_01: My numbing cream is wearing off.
- 28:17SPEAKER_01: What do you go for it?
- 28:19SPEAKER_01: I'm just sitting in here and I know because we are literally also in sheer terror, but both.
- 28:25SPEAKER_00: It's okay because we have we have our podcast listeners and we have our patients and our friends that are coming to support us.
- 28:31SPEAKER_00: Oh, and shout out to K Map as well.
- 28:33SPEAKER_00: Oh, yes.
- 28:34SPEAKER_01: Big shout out to K Map, another unicorn.
- 28:37SPEAKER_01: I feel like I know so much about her, but I don't know her.
- 28:40SPEAKER_01: She's she's is she coming to the VIP dinner?
- 28:42SPEAKER_01: You should give you can give her a ticket.
- 28:44SPEAKER_00: Of course she's gonna come.
- 28:45SPEAKER_00: I'll I'll drag her.
- 28:46SPEAKER_00: I don't know.
- 28:47SPEAKER_00: She's got the cutest little baby girl, so I don't know.
- 28:50SPEAKER_00: She doesn't like to be away from her little Cella.
- 28:53SPEAKER_00: That's okay.
- 28:54SPEAKER_00: But I'm just like literally in awe because we have two days, right?
- 29:00SPEAKER_00: Yeah, so it's Friday and Saturday.
- 29:03SPEAKER_00: Do you think next year we can even match this lineup of speakers, Megan?
- 29:07SPEAKER_00: I mean, this is this is an incredible.
- 29:09SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 29:10SPEAKER_01: I I'm what I'm hoping is that our speakers find it so fruitful that they want to come back and continue to do more and continue to grow the brand.
- 29:18SPEAKER_01: I'll give a shout out to someone behind the scenes, Matt Delman.
- 29:21SPEAKER_01: So Matt Delman is like every yeah, everybody needs an MVP who doesn't think they're an MVP.
- 29:28SPEAKER_01: And in my practice, Vital Medical, that is Matt Delman.
- 29:31SPEAKER_01: To the point, so at the beginning of the year, we always have an all-staff meeting and we kind of like recap like our numbers, how do we do?
- 29:38SPEAKER_01: What are our goals?
- 29:39SPEAKER_01: Da-da-da.
- 29:39SPEAKER_01: And then we always have a most valuable employee, usually your player.
- 29:43SPEAKER_01: And it's, you know, it's usually honestly, it's one of the coordinators almost always because they work the hardest.
- 29:48SPEAKER_01: And this year I was like, I'm making it Matt.
- 29:50SPEAKER_01: Because before Matt started with my practice, I kid you not, our phone system wasn't working.
- 29:55SPEAKER_01: Our patient management system was fine, but it like was terrible.
- 29:59SPEAKER_01: And he came in, his company's called Go Ironic, and he's like a little ninja.
- 30:04SPEAKER_01: He's like fixed.
- 30:06SPEAKER_00: I wish if I just had that level of knowledge.
- 30:10SPEAKER_00: You could ask him.
- 30:10SPEAKER_00: I'm like, Yeah, I think that that's what we're talking about, just innately, like you're just that talented, right?
- 30:16SPEAKER_01: So, and same thing.
- 30:17SPEAKER_01: So he was he's been friends with Michael for like 30 years.
- 30:20SPEAKER_01: Michael referred him over as a patient, and usually when I have a male consult, they're like 20, 15 to 20 minutes long.
- 30:27SPEAKER_01: Like, men just want to come in, give me my hormones and out.
- 30:30SPEAKER_01: Matt and I talked for 90 minutes.
- 30:31SPEAKER_01: I had to cancel two appointments because I was just like enthralled with him and just what he could do.
- 30:36SPEAKER_01: And we were so broke at the time in the practice that I gave Michael a certain amount of money out of my own pocket, and I was like, I want you to hire him for a month, and I just want you to have him make us better.
- 30:48SPEAKER_01: And now Matt's on our payroll and he's part of vital coaching and he's doing all this stuff.
- 30:52SPEAKER_01: So when I asked him to help with the B3 with the audio and video and help with our advertisements and again, kind of like help with our landing page, he was like, Yes, of course, I'll do anything for you.
- 31:01SPEAKER_01: And I was like, Okay, but I also don't believe in free labor, like I want to pay you.
- 31:05SPEAKER_01: I still have yet to get invoice from that man.
- 31:07SPEAKER_01: I tried to zell him money and he didn't accept it.
- 31:09SPEAKER_01: And I was like, I go, I will Zell me some money.
- 31:12SPEAKER_01: I know I told him, I go, I'm gonna just send your wife cash and shout out to Crystal Delman, and that way she can put it in her pocket.
- 31:19SPEAKER_01: But no, he he brought up the the idea.
- 31:22SPEAKER_01: I mean, he's I told you today kind of put it in where he kind of similar to closed loop on what you were saying, he was like, you know, what you guys are doing and having that real in-person connection.
- 31:33SPEAKER_01: Yes, he's like, we need to do this all the time.
- 31:35SPEAKER_01: And maybe it's not to this scale, you know, right?
- 31:37SPEAKER_01: Where it's a two-day presentation, maybe it's a two-hour TED talk, you know, town hall thing.
- 31:42SPEAKER_00: I think that's the thing, Megan.
- 31:43SPEAKER_00: What frustrates me the most?
- 31:45SPEAKER_00: You know, we have access to AI, we have access to all these these different informational platforms, but what we don't have is that yeah in on-site, in-person connection, yeah, and not only just with the experts in the room, but amongst the community.
- 32:00SPEAKER_00: Right.
- 32:01SPEAKER_00: We need to know each other, we need to support each other, we need to be able to do that.
- 32:04SPEAKER_00: We need to ask questions, we need to hear from each other.
- 32:08SPEAKER_00: Yeah, we need to support each other because I think we all have the same what we call North Star, right?
- 32:14SPEAKER_00: We are just to trying to provide the best outcome for all of our patients and have the patients receive the best information out there.
- 32:22SPEAKER_00: This is so important.
- 32:23SPEAKER_00: And I think that's why you and I are so passionate about this, and that's why we are not sleeping and we are always working because we want to make sure that this is presented in a manner that we can't half-ass anything.
- 32:37SPEAKER_00: We can't.
- 32:38SPEAKER_01: I mean, I have to have it beautiful, we have to have it beautiful, I have to have it decorated, I have to have good.
- 32:43SPEAKER_01: I mean, I just can't.
- 32:44SPEAKER_01: Oh my goodness.
- 32:45SPEAKER_01: I told Aaron, I was like, I'm pretty much this is like a wedding to me.
- 32:48SPEAKER_01: I'm like, but it's a reflection of us, and I'm I'm happy to have it that way because I want our audience to feel like that was awesome.
- 32:57SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 32:57SPEAKER_01: And I want to do that again.
- 32:59SPEAKER_01: And that's what we're doing.
- 33:00SPEAKER_01: Yes.
- 33:00SPEAKER_01: What are you scared of?
- 33:01SPEAKER_01: What makes you nervous about the event?
- 33:03SPEAKER_00: You know, I haven't really spoken a long time.
- 33:05SPEAKER_00: I was telling Caitlin today when I was younger, or you know, in my younger years, I won a lot of oratorical contests.
- 33:13SPEAKER_00: I've won them.
- 33:14SPEAKER_01: I've heard the word oratorical before.
- 33:16SPEAKER_01: Meaning that you won contests for public speaking.
- 33:19SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 33:20SPEAKER_01: Is that what it's called?
- 33:21SPEAKER_01: Oratorical.
- 33:22SPEAKER_00: I feel like it's HGBT ramp to check.
- 33:25SPEAKER_00: I'm I have all the menopausal symptoms, like I have brain fog, I have all that shit.
- 33:29SPEAKER_00: So listen, if I start breaking into it.
- 33:32SPEAKER_00: I know I think you're right though.
- 33:33SPEAKER_00: I because it's auditory is what it's a derivative.
- 33:36SPEAKER_00: I've won rotary contests, I've won Shakespearean contests.
- 33:40SPEAKER_00: Like I let your girl hear it.
- 33:42SPEAKER_00: She's making stuff up.
- 33:43SPEAKER_01: I'm gonna need to see metals and you want to see that, right?
- 33:46SPEAKER_01: Yeah, I'm gonna need your CB after this.
- 33:48SPEAKER_00: No, that's amazing.
- 33:50SPEAKER_00: No, I and that's don't be nervous about speaking.
- 33:52SPEAKER_00: Don't it's my biggest fear now is I just this is what went through the presentation with somebody a scientist.
- 33:58SPEAKER_00: Actually, one of my friends is a a really great scientist.
- 34:01SPEAKER_00: And he and I read and I went through the presentation with the 12 hallmarks of changing, and her talk's gonna be so much better than mine.
- 34:10SPEAKER_01: I just want to say when I get on stage, that's a good time for everyone to go to the bathroom.
- 34:14SPEAKER_01: But this is get something to eat.
- 34:17SPEAKER_00: What he said to me, he said, Your brain is too big.
- 34:21SPEAKER_00: Like you have to dummy, not dummy it down.
- 34:24SPEAKER_00: No, you have to be able to be approachable.
- 34:26SPEAKER_00: But I want to share everything I know because it's so important to me that when my patients or you know, when people are listening, I want them to understand that truly my passion is to teach that aesthetics is medicine.
- 34:40SPEAKER_00: That's that's my topic.
- 34:41SPEAKER_00: Yes.
- 34:42SPEAKER_00: So, and he's like, Well, Charia, you don't have to go on a cellular level and draw and draw up.
- 34:47SPEAKER_01: My mom is gonna be, I guarantee my mom's gonna go, Charia's so pretty.
- 34:51SPEAKER_01: I don't know what she was saying, but she's so pretty.
- 34:53SPEAKER_00: That's so funny.
- 34:54SPEAKER_00: My goodness.
- 34:55SPEAKER_00: Look, Bodhi's been so good.
- 34:57SPEAKER_01: Maybe we can have Bodhi on the podcast all the time.
- 34:59SPEAKER_01: Oh, of course.
- 35:00SPEAKER_01: I mean, at least for a while.
- 35:02SPEAKER_01: He's well, he's this little.
- 35:04SPEAKER_01: He'll be about right now, he weighs 12 pounds.
- 35:06SPEAKER_01: Went to the vet yesterday.
- 35:08SPEAKER_01: So Samoyeds are again are similar to Huskies, where they look big.
- 35:12SPEAKER_01: Like if you s just saw No Nova's I'm about to be seven, she's a purebred Siberian Husky, and she looks like she probably weighs 90 pounds and she weighs maybe 60, 62 because of their double coat.
- 35:25SPEAKER_01: Bodie will get to be about 40, 45 pounds, but he'll look like he's like 80 pounds because of all the the fur.
- 35:32SPEAKER_01: I think for me, what I'm most nervous about is not delivering on the experience.
- 35:38SPEAKER_01: So what's made prior events that I've been a part of unsuccessful, so not successful, is a lack of engagement.
- 35:46SPEAKER_01: You know, I feel like there's a fine line between this being a college class and this being an interactive event.
- 35:54SPEAKER_00: I see.
- 35:55SPEAKER_01: And I will say that's where we don't want to lecture to our audience.
- 35:59SPEAKER_00: We want them interacting with our own.
- 36:00SPEAKER_01: I don't want to lecture.
- 36:01SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 36:02SPEAKER_01: I also don't want to put people on the spot, right?
- 36:04SPEAKER_01: So things that we've talked about, because we're going to do a live podcast and we always want to have answer viewers' questions.
- 36:09SPEAKER_01: I actually don't love when people walk around with a microphone and put it in audience members' faces because some people, well, just be honest, some people feel vulnerable, but they may have a real question.
- 36:20SPEAKER_01: So we're going to have our girls, our coordinators or vent coordinators query questions beforehand.
- 36:26SPEAKER_01: There'll be a QR code that you can scan, it'll go to a poll.
- 36:29SPEAKER_01: That way, then we can answer things live.
- 36:31SPEAKER_01: And I can appreciate that.
- 36:32SPEAKER_01: Because what if someone's like, hey, I heard about vaginal botox, I want to know more, but they're sitting next to their mom.
- 36:38SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 36:39SPEAKER_00: You know what I mean?
- 36:39SPEAKER_00: Say, oh yeah, I never thought of that.
- 36:41SPEAKER_00: Like that's weird.
- 36:43SPEAKER_01: You might want to ask a vulnerable question.
- 36:44SPEAKER_01: Or like one time I got lip filler and it went really poorly.
- 36:49SPEAKER_01: Like, can you tell me what to look for?
- 36:50SPEAKER_01: Again, they may be sitting next to their cousin who they've said they've never had lip filler for.
- 36:54SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 36:54SPEAKER_01: So so I think for me, I'm nervous that like we that people won't get the experience that I want them to have.
- 37:02SPEAKER_01: We are gonna do a post survey to understand what we can do better on, obviously.
- 37:07SPEAKER_01: But um, yeah, and and obviously I want it to be successful.
- 37:11SPEAKER_01: I want to fill the room.
- 37:12SPEAKER_01: We do have some seats available.
- 37:14SPEAKER_01: So if you're listening to this, please snag them.
- 37:16SPEAKER_01: We are gonna be having a lot of promotions over the next few weeks.
- 37:20SPEAKER_01: So um we're gonna have a giveaway.
- 37:22SPEAKER_00: We're gonna have a giveaway.
- 37:24SPEAKER_00: We're gonna do a two-ticket giveaway and more details to come.
- 37:29SPEAKER_00: So, Megan, why why does it matter?
- 37:31SPEAKER_00: Why, why does it why does why does this matter?
- 37:34SPEAKER_00: Why are we not sipping on a margarita somewhere and working so hard to bring this together?
- 37:39SPEAKER_01: So, this is important because of many reasons.
- 37:42SPEAKER_01: One, we as a society in 2026 need real person interaction.
- 37:49SPEAKER_01: We just do.
- 37:50SPEAKER_01: We don't play anymore.
- 37:51SPEAKER_01: Like when you're children, you have play dates.
- 37:53SPEAKER_01: When you're adolescents, you go to school, and then you know, you used to quote unquote hang out.
- 37:59SPEAKER_01: Remember, like you would get in a car and ride around with your friends, get into trouble, do things.
- 38:03SPEAKER_01: Nowadays, we are so digitally connected that we are disconnected.
- 38:09SPEAKER_01: Even myself, I see patients through a screen, right?
- 38:13SPEAKER_01: I don't have that interaction.
- 38:14SPEAKER_01: So the number one reason is that we need to drive community, we need in-person interaction.
- 38:21SPEAKER_01: Two, we need to get through accurate information.
- 38:27SPEAKER_01: We leave we live in a digital world full of misinformation, where just as I was saying, patients are being fed lies.
- 38:36SPEAKER_01: That's just it.
- 38:37SPEAKER_01: My mom is being fed a lie.
- 38:40SPEAKER_01: When I spoke to my family about GLP1 therapy, which is what my talk is on, my mom's first 10 questions were all completely misinformation, just lies.
- 38:52SPEAKER_01: And I told her, I'm like, that's absolutely incorrect.
- 38:55SPEAKER_01: You are not giving getting in getting information that is correct.
- 38:59SPEAKER_00: So, what is one?
- 39:01SPEAKER_00: If you could pick one top misinformation that you are just disgusted with, what would that be when it comes to GLP1 therapy?
- 39:09SPEAKER_01: That GLP1 therapy causes muscle loss.
- 39:11SPEAKER_01: It doesn't, it causes weight loss.
- 39:14SPEAKER_01: And weight is a measurement of mass.
- 39:16SPEAKER_01: And mass is measured by water, bone, fat, and muscle.
- 39:22SPEAKER_01: And it is physiologically impossible to lose weight and not lose muscle.
- 39:27SPEAKER_01: It's a mechanism of the drug and is a byproduct of lifestyle.
- 39:32SPEAKER_01: So if you want to lose weight and not lose muscle, you need to resistance train, you need to eat adequate protein, you need to take care of yourself.
- 39:42SPEAKER_01: And it is not the drug, it is a mechanism.
- 39:46SPEAKER_00: So one of the things that one of my biggest, biggest trends, or I I should say one of the misconceptions out there is when they say that if you get sculpture, you cannot get a facelift.
- 40:00SPEAKER_00: And that is not true.
- 40:01SPEAKER_00: So I'm gonna that is not true.
- 40:04SPEAKER_00: And if a plastic surgeon doesn't have the skill, well, I shouldn't say I'm just gonna hold back.
- 40:09SPEAKER_00: I'm just gonna say that there are talented plastic surgeons out there who don't care about sculpture or not.
- 40:14SPEAKER_00: They'd probably actually be happy because there's actually the extracellular matrix, you better get better circulation.
- 40:21SPEAKER_01: Will be better.
- 40:21SPEAKER_01: My future baselift will be better because it's happening.
- 40:24SPEAKER_00: I will tell you, I worked in plastic surgery in the past and I've never shied, or my plastic surgeon has never said, Charia, stop doing sculpture on them.
- 40:33SPEAKER_00: They're about to come see me for plastic surgery.
- 40:35SPEAKER_00: Or they will say, Hey, go talk to Charia about how sculpture can prepare or help support your recovery.
- 40:42SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 40:42SPEAKER_00: So I'm gonna knock that out there.
- 40:44SPEAKER_00: You know what it is for me, Megan?
- 40:46SPEAKER_00: What's that?
- 40:47SPEAKER_00: I think that people don't pay attention to health until something until something goes wrong.
- 40:52SPEAKER_00: Until they have to.
- 40:54SPEAKER_01: Right, right?
- 40:55SPEAKER_01: Yeah, it's like you never invest in your skincare products until you wake up one day and you're like, what happened?
- 41:01SPEAKER_01: Yes, right.
- 41:02SPEAKER_01: And it is that doesn't mean, I want to be clear, that does not mean that if you are 20 years old that you need to be going out and getting preventative Botox, right?
- 41:12SPEAKER_01: But that's why, as you said, aesthetics is medicine.
- 41:15SPEAKER_01: It needs to be treated as such, meaning that there are patient inclusions, there are patient exclusions, there are side effects, and they're the licensed clinician is responsible.
- 41:25SPEAKER_00: Aesthetics to me is medicine.
- 41:27SPEAKER_00: It is, it literally is, it's a prescription.
- 41:29SPEAKER_00: You have to have a medical license.
- 41:30SPEAKER_00: I am prescribing all the things.
- 41:33SPEAKER_00: And if you're a provider, or if you're seeing somebody and they're injecting you out of garage, out of the basement, and they are not talking to you and assessing it.
- 41:41SPEAKER_00: Or in your house.
- 41:42SPEAKER_00: Oh, right?
- 41:42SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 41:43SPEAKER_00: Like, let's just be real.
- 41:44SPEAKER_00: Aesthetics is medicine.
- 41:45SPEAKER_00: I went to school for a very long time and I've spent a lot of money to do what I do, and now even training, and and I'm seeing that there's a deficit there.
- 41:55SPEAKER_00: And I'm I'm really proud of my journey, my aesthetics journey, because as I've grown, you know, I I remember when I first started almost 10 years ago, where it was like just fill the crack, fill the line.
- 42:06SPEAKER_00: Right.
- 42:07SPEAKER_00: And now it's like, no, I am taking a whole um history, uh present illness, complaints, and prescribing at the same time.
- 42:15SPEAKER_00: But I as you should, as you should.
- 42:17SPEAKER_00: Yes.
- 42:18SPEAKER_00: And so for me, I think the reason why I'm so grateful that we're doing this I am because make health a priority.
- 42:27SPEAKER_00: Learn from the top experts.
- 42:29SPEAKER_00: And you know what's so interesting is I remember I was talking to a couple patients and I said, Megan, because we we have cro we have patients that you know we see together or whatever.
- 42:38SPEAKER_00: And this particular one was like, I don't care what you guys do, where it's at, because we know that you two are so passionate about what you do that we would travel across seas.
- 42:51SPEAKER_00: And you know what?
- 42:52SPEAKER_00: As soon as we release this, she said, How much is a ticket?
- 42:56SPEAKER_00: She's not even gonna be there.
- 42:58SPEAKER_00: I don't know if you know this, but she bought a ticket.
- 43:01SPEAKER_00: She's gonna be out of town and knew that we were gonna put something so amazing together.
- 43:06SPEAKER_01: We'll have lots of clips from everything though.
- 43:09SPEAKER_00: So we hope that you can join us.
- 43:11SPEAKER_01: We do.
- 43:12SPEAKER_01: And if you're interested, you know, if if you're financially strapped, if there's any questions, contacts, please in the show notes always are our contacts.
- 43:22SPEAKER_01: Feel free to DM us.
- 43:23SPEAKER_01: Feel free to reach out to the podcast.
- 43:26SPEAKER_01: I'm I'm gonna get it wrong.
- 43:27SPEAKER_01: Megan Delcorral.np.
- 43:29SPEAKER_01: Now on Instagram, because everyone knows I lost my Instagram.
- 43:32SPEAKER_01: You know, you know, Megan go back like for took her Instagram down, people.
- 43:36SPEAKER_01: And to this day, to this day, I will say we've never gotten anything from Meta.
- 43:41SPEAKER_01: There's never been a reason.
- 43:42SPEAKER_01: So I was again, we're switching gears.
- 43:45SPEAKER_01: I was listening to Ben Greenfield, and he was talking about how he got banned.
- 43:50SPEAKER_01: He's a big biohacker.
- 43:52SPEAKER_01: He got banned from Instagram Lives, and but they told him it's because of this specific post where he talked about a certain peptide, and it was like a couple.
- 44:00SPEAKER_01: Years ago.
- 44:00SPEAKER_01: To this day, I've never gotten that reason.
- 44:03SPEAKER_01: They've never said, Hey, this is why your account was disabled.
- 44:06SPEAKER_01: Everyone else I've talked to, they've been told it was this.
- 44:09SPEAKER_00: Have you seen some of the crazy things on Instagram that's out there?
- 44:13SPEAKER_00: I mean, like, we are the most vanilla content ever.
- 44:16SPEAKER_01: The most, it's mostly these little guys.
- 44:20SPEAKER_01: It's mostly dogs.
- 44:21SPEAKER_01: And then a little bit about peptide and dating, education, life, and some fun things.
- 44:26SPEAKER_01: But but nothing, nothing, nothing harmful.
- 44:29SPEAKER_01: Nothing harmful.
- 44:30SPEAKER_01: I don't make claims.
- 44:31SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 44:31SPEAKER_00: And you know what?
- 44:32SPEAKER_00: You're whatever, what happened to you has made me verify injector cha cha underscore NP, which is applied for that process.
- 44:40SPEAKER_00: Did you?
- 44:40SPEAKER_00: Yeah, yeah.
- 44:41SPEAKER_01: Erin put in our thing.
- 44:42SPEAKER_01: I think every week she updates it to try and get to all of our new followers.
- 44:47SPEAKER_01: Oh, right.
- 44:49SPEAKER_01: We usually are this spicy.
- 44:50SPEAKER_01: I will say we're usually a little bit more silly.
- 44:53SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 44:53SPEAKER_00: I think Yeah, we need to end on some silly stuff.
- 44:56SPEAKER_01: Let's see.
- 44:56SPEAKER_01: Let's talk.
- 44:57SPEAKER_01: So we've got Bodie the dog.
- 44:59SPEAKER_01: Uh, it's still hot as heck.
- 45:01SPEAKER_01: For those of you don't know, I'm training for the Berlin Marathon in five weeks.
- 45:05SPEAKER_00: I forgot to tell you, but I was in the tornado.
- 45:09SPEAKER_00: That crazy tornado that came through Cullington and skipped through Bellevue.
- 45:13SPEAKER_00: Yes.
- 45:14SPEAKER_00: We had a patient at Hue and we all literally ran underneath the stuff.
- 45:18SPEAKER_01: I was just down the street from you getting my hair done.
- 45:20SPEAKER_01: My gosh, did you have to take cover?
- 45:22SPEAKER_01: So I did not, but we verified.
- 45:25SPEAKER_01: So she called the girl who owns the salon.
- 45:27SPEAKER_01: She likes rents a room.
- 45:28SPEAKER_01: The she came to the salon right away when the sirens went on.
- 45:31SPEAKER_01: And we walked down to the basement while I had like product to my hair.
- 45:34SPEAKER_01: And I'm like, listen, should we just rinse this out now?
- 45:37SPEAKER_01: Because all I could think about is like, how are we gonna do this?
- 45:40SPEAKER_01: We like, you know, just knew where we could go.
- 45:43SPEAKER_01: We actually never lost power.
- 45:44SPEAKER_01: She did it surge a couple times, but we just watched it and like it was like a scene from Wizard of Oz where like it was light on and then all of a sudden it was like pitch black.
- 45:53SPEAKER_00: So you guys were in the basement a few?
- 45:55SPEAKER_00: No, no, we don't have a basement.
- 45:57SPEAKER_00: We had a patient getting a facial and I had to wake in.
- 46:00SPEAKER_00: Wake up.
- 46:01SPEAKER_00: I was like, I'm so sorry, but we all have to take cover and get underneath this table.
- 46:07SPEAKER_00: And those treatment tables are huge.
- 46:09SPEAKER_00: If you've ever been to Hugh, Caitlin's room is kind of half tucked under like the ground.
- 46:13SPEAKER_00: Oh, yeah.
- 46:13SPEAKER_00: So it's true.
- 46:14SPEAKER_00: We jumped underneath this table and we all stayed there.
- 46:18SPEAKER_00: And I was just like, you know what?
- 46:19SPEAKER_00: Did you give her a free facial?
- 46:20SPEAKER_00: But I was thinking to myself, like, if anybody has to die, I'm gonna be the one because I'm like, let me go check out this.
- 46:27SPEAKER_00: I mean, you could hear the whistling.
- 46:29SPEAKER_00: Yeah, it was reeky.
- 46:31SPEAKER_00: It was it was very scary.
- 46:32SPEAKER_00: So I hope everybody out there and weren't affected.
- 46:36SPEAKER_00: And I think there's a something that's coming through because I'm looking out there and then I'm gonna go.
- 46:40SPEAKER_00: We're gonna get a storm.
- 46:42SPEAKER_00: I think it's just gonna be raining.
- 46:43SPEAKER_00: The weather stuff changed, which is weird.
- 46:45SPEAKER_01: So we live in Cincinnati, Ohio.
- 46:47SPEAKER_01: We don't usually get tornadoes.
- 46:48SPEAKER_01: Yeah, I think of like Wichita, Kansas, right?
- 46:51SPEAKER_00: They're like emergency protocols.
- 46:52SPEAKER_00: There's like 80,000 people without lights.
- 46:55SPEAKER_00: It's it's a little nutty around here.
- 46:57SPEAKER_01: It's a little uh our when it went on our handyman who's been working on our water system.
- 47:02SPEAKER_01: Shout out to Sean.
- 47:03SPEAKER_01: Sean is the goat.
- 47:05SPEAKER_01: We shout out everybody.
- 47:06SPEAKER_01: We are so thankful for the people.
- 47:08SPEAKER_01: No, I am I am so so Sean, Sean and so I have the cleanest water in Cincinnati.
- 47:13SPEAKER_01: You can drink out of the toilet in my house.
- 47:15SPEAKER_01: We have a quadruple filtration system.
- 47:19SPEAKER_01: I'm gonna get it all wrong.
- 47:20SPEAKER_01: He's explained it to me like seven times, and I'm like, okay, sure.
- 47:23SPEAKER_01: The main reason we have it, if you're watching on video, I'm gonna point to it right there.
- 47:28SPEAKER_01: Is we have this three-story waterfall in our foyer and it was getting a bunch of buildup and residue.
- 47:35SPEAKER_01: I hired Sean three years ago when we moved in.
- 47:39SPEAKER_01: Twice a year, he comes to like clean the windows, power wash the house.
- 47:42SPEAKER_01: And he finally said to me one day, he was like, Hey, do you need help with your waterfall?
- 47:46SPEAKER_01: Because it was looking terrible.
- 47:48SPEAKER_01: Oh wow.
- 47:48SPEAKER_01: And I was like, Yeah, I'm like, I've called a thousand companies, no one wants to touch it.
- 47:52SPEAKER_01: And he was like, It's just like a big pool, I can do it.
- 47:55SPEAKER_01: He has taken that whole thing apart.
- 47:56SPEAKER_01: It has like a new pump, and it has all the every day he'd be like, just you know, I'm gonna do da-da.
- 48:01SPEAKER_01: And I was like, sure.
- 48:02SPEAKER_01: Okay, and then finally he was like, You need a new water system.
- 48:05SPEAKER_01: So we had a fil a filtration, but we didn't have a softener.
- 48:08SPEAKER_01: And he was like, I'm just gonna, he was like, Can I just do whatever?
- 48:11SPEAKER_01: I'm like, sure.
- 48:13SPEAKER_01: Sounds good.
- 48:13SPEAKER_01: I like give him a credit card on file, and like just you have fun.
- 48:16SPEAKER_01: So now we have we have this big, it's as big as I am.
- 48:20SPEAKER_01: It's literally it's five foot three carbon filter that then goes to a salt filter.
- 48:26SPEAKER_01: Oh wow, and the salt filter then has a built-in softener.
- 48:29SPEAKER_01: So when you take a shower in our shower, it's like slick because it's the water's very soft.
- 48:35SPEAKER_01: It's very interesting.
- 48:36SPEAKER_01: And then it goes to a third carbon filter, and then it goes through, and you can turn off the lights and see it.
- 48:42SPEAKER_01: There's this UV filtration that like kills any bacteria.
- 48:45SPEAKER_00: Here's the million dollar question.
- 48:47SPEAKER_00: Have you noticed changes in my hair?
- 48:49SPEAKER_00: Yeah, skin.
- 48:50SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 48:50SPEAKER_01: So Ruby, who does my hair, she was like, Your scalp has looks better than it's ever looked.
- 48:55SPEAKER_01: And I was like, Oh my god, what if it's our new water system?
- 48:57SPEAKER_01: And she's like, Yeah, probably.
- 48:59SPEAKER_01: I know.
- 48:59SPEAKER_01: So I was expecting- Maybe we should have like a him speak at the summit.
- 49:03SPEAKER_01: Oh my god, right?
- 49:04SPEAKER_01: He I told him, I go, You should market this.
- 49:06SPEAKER_01: He's like, I just kind of jimmy rigged and figured it out.
- 49:09SPEAKER_01: And I and I have an app on my phone that tells me, it gives me like levels, and I'm like, I don't know what I'm looking at.
- 49:14SPEAKER_01: All I see at the top says everything is okay.
- 49:16SPEAKER_01: And I'm like, Cool, that's how I know.
- 49:18SPEAKER_01: But anyway, so he was here doing whatever he does.
- 49:21SPEAKER_01: He's I feel like he's here all the time.
- 49:23SPEAKER_01: And I called him and I was like, Hey, there's a big storm coming through.
- 49:27SPEAKER_01: Are you okay?
- 49:27SPEAKER_01: And he's like, Yeah, I'm not gonna leave your house.
- 49:29SPEAKER_01: I was like, Yeah, yeah, don't leave.
- 49:30SPEAKER_01: I was like, Okay, but can you get my dogs and go downstairs to the media room?
- 49:35SPEAKER_01: Because that that room's like a bunker, yeah, and it has like sound deadening and all this stuff.
- 49:39SPEAKER_01: And he was like, Yeah, okay.
- 49:40SPEAKER_01: I'm like, you can watch a movie, but just take care of my dogs.
- 49:43SPEAKER_01: He was like, Okay.
- 49:44SPEAKER_01: He was really sweet though.
- 49:45SPEAKER_01: He's like, Yeah, I'm gonna go get them right now.
- 49:47SPEAKER_01: And I was like, Okay, thanks.
- 49:48SPEAKER_01: But well, we're getting through it.
