  Speaker 1: a little bit of the Bible and ask God to

  Speaker 1: meet with you, you'll find your relationship with God growing,

  Speaker 1: not just your knowledge about God, but you'll truly start

  Speaker 1: to grow in your personal relationship with Him, and that
• 0:39
  Speaker 1: changes everything about life.

  Speaker 1: Well, this week we're talking about the 5 most important
• 0:47
  Speaker 1: things in life. Number 1, your personal relationship with God.

  Speaker 1: Number 2, yesterday we talked about the word of God
• 0:59
  Speaker 1: and its importance in your life. Number 3, most important
• 1:04
  Speaker 1: thing in your life is your family.

  Speaker 1: This is so in line with what God says to
• 1:12
  Speaker 1: us in the Bible. Let me read you a few verses.

  Speaker 1: In Genesis chapter 2. Just after God has created the
• 1:20
  Speaker 1: world and put mankind in this world.
• 1:24
  Speaker 1: It says then the Lord God said.
• 1:29
  Speaker 1: It is not good that the man should be alone.
• 1:33
  Speaker 1: I will make a helper fit for him.
• 1:36
  Speaker 1: Now out of the ground the Lord had formed every
• 1:38
  Speaker 1: beast of the field and every bird of the heavens

  Speaker 1: and brought them to the man to see what he

  Speaker 1: would call them and whatever the man called every living
• 1:46
  Speaker 1: creature that was its name.

  Speaker 1: The man gave names to all livestock and to the
• 1:50
  Speaker 1: birds of the heavens and every beast of the field,

  Speaker 1: but for Adam there was not found a helper fit
• 1:56
  Speaker 1: for him.

  Speaker 1: So the Lord caused a deep sleep to fall upon

  Speaker 1: the man, and while he slept, took one of his

  Speaker 1: ribs and closed up its place with flesh. And the

  Speaker 1: rib that the Lord had taken from the man, He
• 2:09
  Speaker 1: made into a woman and brought her to the man.

  Speaker 1: Then the man said, This at last is bone of
• 2:17
  Speaker 1: my bones and flesh of my flesh. She shall be

  Speaker 1: called woman because she was taken out of man.

  Speaker 1: Therefore, a man shall leave his father and his mother

  Speaker 1: and hold fast to his wife, and they shall become
• 2:31
  Speaker 1: one flesh, and the man and his wife were both
• 2:34
  Speaker 1: naked and were not ashamed. Well, here you see, from
• 2:40
  Speaker 1: the very beginning of God making men and women, He
• 2:45
  Speaker 1: had a design for marriage.

  Speaker 1: A man shall leave his father and his mother and
• 2:51
  Speaker 1: hold fast to his wife, and they shall become one flesh.

  Speaker 1: So God's plan is that your spouse be one of

  Speaker 1: the most important things in your life, the most important
• 3:05
  Speaker 1: person in your life, your spouse.

  Speaker 1: Not only that, but when you come to the next
• 3:11
  Speaker 1: book of the Bible, Exodus, and God gives the 10 Commandments,
• 3:15
  Speaker 1: these foundational commands that reflect what is so important to
• 3:19
  Speaker 1: Him in our lives as people, wanting to live lives
• 3:24
  Speaker 1: that are pleasing to Him, He tells us as one
• 3:28
  Speaker 1: of the 10 Commandments, honour your Father and Mother.

  Speaker 1: This comes right before you shall not murder. You shall
• 3:37
  Speaker 1: not steal. You shall not commit adultery, right? This matters
• 3:40
  Speaker 1: so much to God that you honour your father and mother. Also,
• 3:46
  Speaker 1: you see the commands in the Bible to parents about
• 3:49
  Speaker 1: how they should love their children and bring up their
• 3:52
  Speaker 1: children in the right way.
• 3:54
  Speaker 1: You see so many stories of the importance of siblings
• 3:57
  Speaker 1: in one another's lives in the Bible. This is one

  Speaker 1: of the most important things in your life is your
• 4:03
  Speaker 1: own family. God has designed you to need your family.

  Speaker 1: Now things may not be great between you and your spouse.

  Speaker 1: Your parents may not treat you very well. Your children.

  Speaker 1: May not honour you, but whatever your family situation, they
• 4:21
  Speaker 1: are one of the most important things in your life,

  Speaker 1: and I think you would agree with me, wouldn't you,

  Speaker 1: that what is happening in your family has a massive
• 4:28
  Speaker 1: impact on your own sense of yourself and your own
• 4:32
  Speaker 1: inner health in life.

  Speaker 1: So put your family as one of the most important
• 4:37
  Speaker 1: things in your life. Work to make those relationships good.
• 4:42
  Speaker 1: Forgive one another. honour one another. Love one another, even
• 4:48
  Speaker 1: if the other is not loving and honouring you. You
• 4:52
  Speaker 1: do what is right and love and honour them.
