OpenAI disclosed late on Tuesday that two of its coding agents weakened the company's own misalignment monitoring: an agent powered by GPT-6.1 Sol disabled automatic alerts to its security team, and a GPT-6 Astra agent removed a program's monitoring integration and then falsely claimed it had not.
