- 0:02Jasmine, oolong, green and white.
- 0:07Long ago, these four tees were skilfully brewed at the Blissful Brew.
- 0:11Then, everything changed when the shop's popularity threatened its existence.
- 0:17All Mr.
- 0:17Okaron, the shop's owner and teammaster, could do was to recruit four teenage orphans to learn his trade and staff his shop.
- 0:26A year has passed since the orphans were hired, and although their skills have progressed, they still have a lot to learn before they can brew anything.
- 0:34But I believe that they have the potential to make the Blissful Brew the greatest tea shop in the world.
- 3:01Is everyone okay? I think so.
- 3:0412345.
- 3:08It should be six.
- 3:09Wait.
- 3:10Where's Prince? Prince.
- 3:13Prince.
- 3:14Oh, no.
- 3:26All right, everybody, and it is your final match of tonight.
- 3:29We have our reigning champion, Jun Food is coming in on the right side of the ring.
- 3:38Look at him, folks.
- 3:39Everybody give him a big hand as he steps up into the ring.
- 3:43Isn't he amazing? Isn't he beautiful? Isn't he strong? And coming up for the left side of the ring, representing the fresh new meat, we have Brock Lee.
- 3:58He's the new guy, new in town, taking on trying to take on the champ for the title.
- 4:04We'll see if he's able to do it tonight.
- 4:06Can I hear a round of applause for the new kids? That's right.
- 4:12All right, everybody.
- 4:13Now it's time for the magic you've been waiting for.
- 4:16We've got gin Fu versus broccoli in three, two, one.
- 4:22Boy, Connor.
- 4:26You are Brock Lee.
- 4:28You are in the fighting ring.
- 4:30Your opponent is across from you.
- 4:32He's looking big and bad.
- 4:34He's looking angry.
- 4:35He's looking scary.
- 4:37What are you doing? The fight has begun.
- 4:41I'm going to start with what is their principal? What is that? Because I was looking under evade and observe.
- 4:46And you can ask their principal what is oh, yeah.
- 4:51So, like, on your character sheet, you have that, like, right or left to kind of, like, darker to the lighter side.
- 4:57Those are their principles.
- 5:00I can plead.
- 5:02Don't hurt me.
- 5:03Shin Foo.
- 5:06That'd be amazing.
- 5:08That would not get the crowd excited, I can tell you that.
- 5:13It's like an avatar.
- 5:14When the Firebender dude comes walking out at Earth Rumble Stadium and everyone's like, boom, you suck.
- 5:19Go back to the Fire Nation.
- 5:21And he's just standing there, like, doing the Pledge of Allegiance for the Fire Lord.
- 5:26Yeah.
- 5:27Okay.
- 5:28I'm going to mark one fatigue and use Smash to try and destabilize something in the environment.
- 5:34I want to make the platform we're on, okay.
- 5:39I want to make it as rough and jagged and just not a flat surface as I can.
- 5:45Okay, sounds good.
- 5:46Okay, so I mark 150.
- 5:48Well, first we got to do I think we'd have to roll off.
- 5:52You have to figure out which of the three options, like, the primary options that you want to take.
- 5:57Oh, the three options? Yeah.
- 5:59Like, so EVADA, maneuver, attack.
- 6:00And this is a vada.
- 6:02Okay, so you're choosing that, and then you're going to roll, and depending on what you roll, you'll get to use a number of your learn techniques and things like that.
- 6:11All right, so I roll creativity.
- 6:13So I get plus one, three.
- 6:16Okay, that's bad.
- 6:19I believe that means that you are going to miss out on any kind of evade Missouri.
- 6:24I believe so.
- 6:25Oh, it looks like Brock is kale ing in a day.
- 6:28That peachy.
- 6:30Do I still have to mark it for you? No.
- 6:33On a seven to nine, you can use a basic or master technique.
- 6:36He's going to take, and technically, he would have done this first, but I digress.
- 6:40Since you roll, ballet doesn't really matter, but he was going to take so you go in order.
- 6:44So whoever chose defend and maneuver goes first.
- 6:47If you chose advanced at attack, you go second.
- 6:49If you choose Evade and Observe, you go third.
- 6:52He would have taken a defendant maneuver, and he is going to seize a position.
- 6:56So basically all he is doing is actually just rushing closer to you.
- 7:01Heavy footsteps slamming into the platform below.
- 7:04You can feel the platform rumbling as he brushes toward you.
- 7:11He's not like a big, like, in the sense of like, hefty man, he's fairly muscular, for sure, but, I mean, all things considered, he's about average size, but with his Earth bending, he's really shaking the ground beneath him as he runs towards running for an attack, and he approaches.
- 7:28So basically that's all he's doing, is he's seizing a position that's closer to you.
- 7:31He's keeping you.
- 7:32He's kind of getting an advantageous position to keep you from kind of escaping his capabilities.
- 7:40So if you want to, you can choose to mark one fatigue in order to block his ability to get closer to you, and you would be able to find a way to sort of escape.
- 7:49That's up to you.
- 7:51I will not mark a fatigue.
- 7:52I will roll.
- 7:55For punch where it matters, when you assess the situation, you can always ask who or what here is the most vulnerable to me.
- 8:01Even on a miss, remember to take plus one.
- 8:03I'm going to act in accordance with the answer.
- 8:05Okay.
- 8:06And what is what? Oh, assess the situation.
- 8:09Okay.
- 8:10Yeah.
- 8:11So it's not a combat move.
- 8:13It's a basic move.
- 8:14So with the way that combat works is after one round, you, as the player, kind of get to choose, do I want to continue with the combat or do I want to kind of step outside of the combat and do something? So you can definitely use assess the situation, and then he more than likely will probably reengage you in combat, but yes, you can absolutely do that.
- 8:34Okay.
- 8:36So for punch where it matters, do I get to also try and land a hit on him, or is it just I roll to see if I can ask that question? What is punch.
- 8:46When you assess the situation, you can always ask who or what here is most vulnerable to me.
- 8:52Even on a miss, remember to take plus one ongoing to act in accordance with the answer.
- 8:58Okay.
- 8:58So basically, I would give you an answer as to what it is that's more most vulnerable in this given situation, which would be this combat exchange.
- 9:08So I would tell you how he is vulnerable or something around you is vulnerable that you could use against him, and then you would gain a plus one to whatever roles that you do moving forward while acting in accordance to using that weakness or whatever the case.
- 9:24Okay.
- 9:25I want to roll for a punch where it matters.
- 9:27Okay, sounds good.
- 9:28So do I need to ask the question first? Sure.
- 9:33What body part of this what's his name? Jin Fu.
- 9:39What body part of Jin Fu, or what area of his body do I need to aim for that he's not able to block very well? Okay, roll, please.
- 9:47Be better than a 2900kay.
- 9:51Awesome.
- 9:52I don't roll with anything.
- 9:53Well, yeah, because you would do assess the situation.
- 9:56Right, assess the situation, which is creativity.
- 10:02Creativity.
- 10:03So it's a ten.
- 10:04Okay, perfect.
- 10:05So on the ten plus, you get to ask two questions.
- 10:08I'm not sure how punch changes based on that.
- 10:11So you would ask that, and you could ask two other questions from the list on assess the situation.
- 10:16Okay, but so as for Jin Fuzz yes.
- 10:22So on his body, he likes to keep his hands high.
- 10:27This is stuff that you've learned from watching his fights and stuff like that, especially because you've been a fighter in this ring, and you've seen him practice, and you've seen him spar and things like that.
- 10:41You know that he likes to block high.
- 10:43He keeps his head good.
- 10:44But you know two other things about him, obviously, because he blocks high, his lower, like, kind of midsection, potentially even his legs are actually more vulnerable.
- 10:55And you also know that he has a drinking problem, and because of that, he has a bruised liver.
- 11:09Interesting.
- 11:10All right.
- 11:11Something that you've noticed, like, in the locker room getting ready, and you've seen him go like, oh, gosh, cold is kind of lower stomach in that area.
- 11:20Got you.
- 11:21And do I get to ask my other questions now? Yeah, go for it.
- 11:23All right.
- 11:25Can I answer the questions at all, or does it have to be the exact yeah, you can definitely as long as it's the basic gist of the question, you can definitely kind of reedit it to fit the situation a little bit better.
- 11:37Okay, so in this case, I'm going to ask in the vein of what should I be looking for? What moves does he like to do that would free up a liver shot? Okay, let's see.
- 11:49He has, like, two specialties that he does, and one of them it's not coming to you right away in the moment in the fight, things are kind of hectic in your brain trying to think of how to hit them.
- 12:00But one thing you do remember is he likes to jut rocks out of the ground and he does that with his arms.
- 12:06It's a very arm heavy earthbender move to shoot these columns out of the ground.
- 12:12Usually to sort of pin in his opponent to a specific area so that he can physically get in close and start punching him.
- 12:21I mean, what's my best way to gain an advantage in this fight? Okay, again, from your watching his fighting and things along those lines, you know that he likes to get up close.
- 12:36That's kind of where he succeeds.
- 12:38He gets up close, he bends some rocks, he bends the ground below his opponent.
- 12:42But these are all moves that he has to do while he's close up.
- 12:45He can't do these from far away.
- 12:46So being further away from him would give you the advantage.
- 12:50Okay.
- 12:50So you have a plus one ongoing in anything that you use or do that's based off of those answers to those questions.
- 13:00Cool.
- 13:01Awesome.
- 13:02He is going to take his turn.
- 13:04He is actually going to use if they didn't observe.
- 13:11And he is doing ground shift.
- 13:13So he stomps on the ground taking a special stance, and he twists his foot in the ground.
- 13:21And what it does is it causes the ground beneath you to shift, turns into kind of like a sandy substance and starts to pull you down.
- 13:29Looks like Brock is art of choking out there.
- 13:33What it says is ground shift.
- 13:35Twist the ground itself to displace or unbalanced foes.
- 13:38Target an individual foe or an area.
- 13:41The all affected foes become impaired for an exchange or stunned if they are already impaired.
- 13:47So you are now impaired, so you are slowed or off balance.
- 13:50You can mark one fatigue or take a minus two to all physical actions.
- 13:54And this is just for one exchange.
- 13:56It said for just one exchange.
- 13:58So that'd be like one round.
- 13:59So if I roll like a ten, it's really an eight? Yes.
- 14:02Okay.
- 14:03But it would really be a nine plus one.
- 14:05Not true.
- 14:06If it's with you acting within.
- 14:08Yeah, right.
- 14:10So my legs are being pulled under like a quicksand.
- 14:14All right, so feet are going into quicksand.
- 14:17And I have not marked any fatigue on him or myself here.
- 14:21Okay.
- 14:22So I'm going to try and you seize the position.
- 14:24I'm going to try and just push down on this quicksand and just try and conjure up some columns from underneath there.
- 14:33Put myself up on a platform and hop off to the side.
- 14:36Okay, sounds good.
- 14:37He's going to advance to the text, so he'll be going after you.
- 14:411010.
- 14:42Nice.
- 14:43Okay, but that's really an eight though.
- 14:46Yes, correct.
- 14:47But you're also trying to get away.
- 14:50So it would be a nine.
- 14:51Nine.
- 14:52But some of the nine is all the same, so I guess it doesn't matter too much.
- 14:55But for some denied.
- 14:57You use one basic or master technique.
- 14:59One basic or master technique.
- 15:01All right, I'm going to see the position.
- 15:03Okay, sounds good.
- 15:04And that's where you're going to kick in this concept where you are lifting yourself up on a giant column rock, lifting yourself high above the air.
- 15:12How high would you say that you've gone? I'm going to just go a few feet and then I'm going to hop off to the side to where I'm still within striking distance from a good distance, but I'm saying probably about 5ft away from them.
- 15:27Okay, so you're like on the back end of this small column that you've created.
- 15:31Yeah.
- 15:32Okay, and then how wide would you say it is? This column is probably just wide enough for me to stand.
- 15:38Okay, so you basically just lifted yourself above him.
- 15:42Yes.
- 15:42Out of the quick sand or whatever it is.
- 15:44Sounds good.
- 15:45Okay.
- 15:45He is advanced in attacking.
- 15:47He is going to seeing that you have created this giant rock column, he is going to do a smash.
- 15:55He marks one fatigue and he destroys or destabilizes something in the environment, possibly afflicting or overcoming affectionately appropriate positive or negative status.
- 16:07He is going to smash your column that you've just created like a big salad.
- 16:15Brock Lee is getting tossed around the ring.
- 16:20I don't really want to say that it would do any kind of a status effect given what's listed on here.
- 16:27I don't think it would cause anything to you, but you're kind of like pushed either backwards or kind of just forced to jump off at this point of this column.
- 16:36Okay, but positive side is he used his attack to hit your column instead of hitting you.
- 16:42Yeah, that's a bonus.
- 16:43All right, so I'll jump off the platform as he's smashing it, and I want to advance an attack and I want to use my earth sinking sink a foe into the Earth itself.
- 16:53Mark two fatigue to trap and enemies standing on the ground in the Earth and they become trapped.
- 16:58Okay.
- 16:59He also was going to use an advancing attack, but I believe the player always goes first.
- 17:04So you go ahead and you just have to roll for it.
- 17:08Oh, six.
- 17:10Six.
- 17:10So that's going to be just shy.
- 17:12Oh, wait, what do I roll with for advancement? Attack.
- 17:15But do I get that plus one? I guess this is attacking him lower.
- 17:19So I'll give you the plus one.
- 17:21Yeah.
- 17:21All right, so the ultimate plan.
- 17:24I don't know if I'm allowed to tell you the ultimate plan because that might give you wasted.
- 17:29No, don't tell me.
- 17:30Okay.
- 17:31I'll just react.
- 17:32All right, so you trapped him in the ground.
- 17:36Yes, his legs are trapped in the ground.
- 17:40Okay, sounds good.
- 17:41He is going to mark a condition to escape.
- 17:45He's going to mark angry minus two to guide and comfort and assess the situation, but he is not trapped in the ground.
- 17:52Okay, so given my punch where it matters when I assess the situation, so I need to say I'm rolling for assess the situation if I'm asking, and that's my turn, right? Okay.
- 18:05I'm going to try and advance an attack.
- 18:07So I want to use my Earth gauntlet.
- 18:09Wrap your arm or fist in strike, mark one fatigue.
- 18:14I inflict one condition or two fatigue.
- 18:16You can also knock your foe out of reach and disengage.
- 18:19They must mark an additional fatigue to resist.
- 18:22I want to wrap up my left arm and just try and go in close, get all that torque, and try and go for that liver shot.
- 18:32So I get that plus one along with this Earth gauntlet, and I really hope I don't roll that.
- 18:39How does the Earth gauntlet fall under advanced attack? Oh, okay.
- 18:43It is one of my fighting techniques.
- 18:48Jeez.
- 18:49I rolled a four.
- 18:51It'd be a five with a plus one.
- 18:53Well, no, it was a three with the plus one.
- 18:55Oh, no.
- 18:57You go to swing in him, and he easily just kind of sidesteps and dodges out of the way.
- 19:02Your punch goes by him.
- 19:03And now I'm in close combat with him.
- 19:05Lee seems to be letting his gore down.
- 19:08He sidesteps, and he, too, does an advance an attack.
- 19:12This time.
- 19:13He stomps into the ground, created an Earth column in front of you that blocks you in.
- 19:19So basically pin a foe with a column of Earth inflict impaired on a single combatants, which I believe you had before.
- 19:30Yeah, that was just for one term, right.
- 19:32This one is ongoing until you do something to get past it.
- 19:39Okay.
- 19:58move to a new location.
- 19:59I assume you wiggle kind of out of the Earth column, pinning you down or pinning you in place, rather, and you manage to move out of the way.
- 20:07Where are you moving to? I'm going to move I'm going to try and get back in close combat with them.
- 20:11That's all.
- 20:12I can I can really only inflict damage while I'm in close quarters.
- 20:15Okay.
- 20:16He was actually already planning on doing an advanced attack.
- 20:19Great.
- 20:20He was going to make another rock column sick.
- 20:24I need to announce this.
- 20:25So you managed to wiggle out of this rock column only to be greeted by a followup rock column come shooting out at you.
- 20:34Broccoli is everything but unbeatable let's.
- 20:39What does steal yourself for their blows mean? Under retaliate each time a flow inflicts fatigue, a condition or shifts your balance in this exchange inflict one fatigue on that.
- 20:49So you're kind of, like, readying yourself for their attacks to what do they call that? Bill has a technique that's a good word for it, sort of like parry the blow.
- 20:58So you, like, block and hit.
- 21:00Still technically taking it, but at least you're inflicting something back on.
- 21:04Yeah, and I can't exactly do that while I'm pinned under a column.
- 21:07Right.
- 21:07So I guess really my only option is to seize another position.
- 21:11Well, see, the position it is.
- 21:13All right, sounds good.
- 21:14Nine.
- 21:15Nice.
- 21:16Another Vincent attack.
- 21:17Did you already add the plus one to it? No.
- 21:19Set the ten.
- 21:20Okay, so now you can choose one of the options from the list.
- 21:25You can mark a fatigue to use a learn technique, you can use one practice technique, or you can use two basic or master techniques.
- 21:32So since you are doing defender maneuver, you have the option to, for instance, do two basic techniques that would fall under that, or if you have a technique of your own that you'd like to use that falls under that, you could do that as well.
- 21:45So two basic defendant maneuver or one learned defendant maneuver.
- 21:49Correct.
- 21:50Okay, I don't have a learned defendant maneuver, so I'm going to need to use a basic defender maneuver.
- 21:56Got you.
- 21:58So first I'll see the position to get out from under that column.
- 22:00Okay.
- 22:01And then could I use it again to get another advantageous position? Can I use the same move twice? I don't personally have a problem with that, and someone did it earlier, so I don't see why not.
- 22:11Cool.
- 22:11So I will see the second position.
- 22:13This time, I'm going to get behind him.
- 22:16Okay, so you, like, leap behind him.
- 22:18He actually was going to go and create another column, but you dodged out from under it, so it just and then he goes, ha ha, I got you.
- 22:30And he walks over to it, only to find that you're not there.
- 22:33And now he looks behind him to see that you're behind him now.
- 22:37All right, Earth Gauntlet.
- 22:38This is where the guy goes, nanny.
- 22:41Earth gauntlet it is.
- 22:44All right, wrap up that left hand.
- 22:45Go for another liver shot.
- 22:46Let's do it.
- 22:50What is that? Fall under advanced attack.
- 22:52So since it falls under advanced attack, do I get the plus one for passion? Yes.
- 22:57Okay, so with my plus two, it's a five.
- 23:02Oh, that is going to be a myth.
- 23:03This Earth gauntlet sucks.
- 23:05Rock Lee doesn't seem to care.
- 23:07It's all about his apart.
- 23:09He spins around and he just does a simple strike.
- 23:12He's not doing anything special, so it's strike a phone reach, forcing them to mark two fatigue, mark a condition, or shift their balance away from center.
- 23:19Your choice.
- 23:21My choice or your choice? It would be your choice.
- 23:24I can mark one fatigue instead to choose to hammer them with blows, forcing them to mark two fatigue, or strike with their weak inflicting condition.
- 23:33And he is going to mark one fatigue to cause you to mark two.
- 23:37All right, things ain't looking good for old broccoli here.
- 23:41Oh, no.
- 23:55and from the audience you just hear, oh, my gosh.
- 24:00All right, well, let's fight in over.
- 24:03Fighting over.
- 24:04You know what? I ain't heard no bell.
- 24:06I hear no bell.
- 24:09One more time, earthcompan.
- 24:10Let's do this.
- 24:11We're doing advanced attack.
- 24:15I got the plus two.
- 24:18Oh, yeah.
- 24:19So that's an eleven, baby.
- 24:21Okay, liver shot.
- 24:22Liver king.
- 24:24Awesome.
- 24:24So I wrap up my old lefty in that earth.
- 24:30He's doing those.
- 24:31He goes for the headshot, duck under, just cap out.
- 24:35Oh, right in the side.
- 24:37Right in the liver.
- 24:38Alright, what does it do? What does it do? Inflict one condition or two, fatigue.
- 24:42You can also knock your foe out of reach and disengage.
- 24:46So since it says, I can also do that, can I have a mark too, fatigue and have them out? Or can I keep them in close proximity and still have them two fatigue marked? You can have him in close proximity.
- 24:56Okay, so I will have the other guy mark two fatigue.
- 25:01All right.
- 25:01As you come up, you punch him right inside.
- 25:05He groans and then he turns back to you.
- 25:08You guys are like right in front of each other.
- 25:10Everybody's going they're going nuts most of the time.
- 25:14You see people just hocking rocks back and forth at each other and like, that's cool and stuff, but you guys are like right up on top of each other throwing punches.
- 25:21A couple of big muscular dudes just beating the crap out of each other.
- 25:25He turns around to also throw another strike and he just goes in to punch you.
- 25:31So strike a foam, forcing them to mark two fatigue.
- 25:34Mark a condition or shift this balance.
- 25:36We kind of already went through this already, and he is going to mark a final fatigue to hit you or require you to mark two fatigue.
- 25:43Well, then I'm done.
- 25:45That's all my fatigues.
- 25:47And with that, you get slammed right in the jaw and you go down, you fall to the ground.
- 25:54Everyone, Romaine, calm.
- 25:56The boy is still alive.
- 25:58Well, Jin Fu stands above you, just breathing heavily.
- 26:02He's looking pretty beat up and stuffed up.
- 26:04And above the stadium, you just hear, lettuce applaud broccoli's attempt as he's taken out of the ring.
- 26:11And as your eyes start to close in, the darkness starts to overtake you.
- 26:16You hear Jin Fu say something along the lines of, and next time when we fight, I'll do it drunk.
- 26:25Just a show.
- 26:26I can.
- 26:27And with that, your vision fades to black.
- 26:33Get up, you lazy brute.
- 26:35Yeah, you get back to work or else you and your family will go without rations for the day.
- 26:42It's okay, son.
- 26:44Come now, let me help you up.
- 26:46And don't let me catch you laying around again or you'll get worse than just my boot.
- 26:55Are you all right, my son? You'll be all right, son.
- 27:00We'll finish our work today, get our rations tonight, and feel well rested in the morning.
- 27:07Yeah, so we can continue to slave away for the fire nation.
- 27:10I know it's hard, son, but keep your head up.
- 27:13Someday the Avatar will save us from their tyranny.
- 27:16We'll start a new home, and we'll get back to cabbage farming.
- 27:20Well, the Avatar better hurry up.
- 27:22I don't know how much longer I can watch mom and the girls suffer here in the slave camp.
- 27:26I know, son.
- 27:28When the Avatar saves us, he or she better let me get a couple of good swings at these guards, especially that high and mighty weighing Long.
- 27:39I'll show him a thing or two if we were put on equal grounds.
- 27:43I know you would, dad.
- 27:44Well, you could for sure take him.
- 27:47You've really grown into a mountain of a man, my son.
- 27:51I have no idea where you got that from.
- 27:53Not from your mom or I, that's for sure.
- 27:56Well, when you grow up in a work camp where every day you slave away like this sorry, dad.
- 28:01I know there wasn't anything you could really do.
- 28:03It's okay, son.
- 28:05I wish I was a stronger man, someone that could stand up to these bullies and whisk you and your mom and your sisters away from all of this.
- 28:13Attention, workers.
- 28:15You have 1 hour to get and eat your afternoon rations.
- 28:19Please make your way in orderly fashion to the mess hall.
- 28:23Let's go get some food, son.
- 28:42Well, well, it's Sleepy Lee and his daddy dearest.
- 28:47I thought I told you too that you weren't going to get dinner actions today.
- 28:51Well, actually, Mr.
- 28:53Long, you said that if my son didn't get up, he wouldn't when you refer to me, you'll refer to me as General Long, and that's only if I allow you to speak in the first place.
- 29:08Yes, of course, General Long.
- 29:11Did I not just say you speak only when I allow you to? Don't lay your hand on my father again.
- 29:19Oh, what will you do about it? Yeah.
- 29:23How dare you touch me, peasant.
- 29:27Guards, take this boy to a holding cell.
- 29:30A few days without his daddy will help him learn some respect.
- 29:41Brock, please.
- 29:43Please don't take my son.
- 29:45Please take me instead.
- 29:47Rock.
- 29:50Rock.
- 29:51Rock.
- 29:53Rock.
- 29:55Brock.
- 29:56Hey, Brock.
- 29:58Come on, kid.
- 29:59I've got to get home to the Mrs.
- 30:02There he is.
- 30:04See, I told them you knew how to take a hit.
- 30:07Now sit on up.
- 30:08I need you to sign for the cash.
- 30:10The money? For getting the snot beat out of you.
- 30:15I threw it a few extra.
- 30:16You on.
- 30:17Seems the audience enjoys getting beat up every night.
- 30:20I don't know what you need this money for, but you must be desperate.
- 30:23That is for sure.
- 30:26There you go.
- 30:27Where's my money? Here you go.
- 30:30Although nobody better asked to see this signature.
- 30:33The heck does it even say? I could barely make out legible letters.
- 30:36Even.
- 30:56Well, hi there.
- 30:57Welcome to the delivery station.
- 30:59What can I do for you? I need to have this sent to my family in Bossing SEI.
- 31:03Sure thing.
- 31:04You got an address? Yeah, it's right here.
- 31:06Let's see.
- 31:072125 Spindley Street, outer ring.
- 31:10Bossing Sey.
- 31:12All right, you're good to go, sir.
- 31:14Say, do you look a bit familiar? Oh, I know.
- 31:18You're that new kid who got your butt handed to you at the Earth Rumble the other night.
- 31:23Yeah, you sure did take a beating.
- 31:25Say, you going to be fighting again any time soon? I sure need a thing to bet against.
- 31:30Yeah, every night.
- 31:42Brock, you're back.
- 31:44I was starting to get worried and oh, my.
- 31:47What happened to you? Did you get mugged? No, I didn't get mugged.
- 31:52Well, what happened then? Just out working.
- 31:58Give me just a second.
- 31:59One moment.
- 32:31Yeah? Drink this.
- 32:33What is it? It's black rui boast tea with essence of green ginger bulb.
- 32:39It's very good for soothing pain and relaxing the muscles.
- 32:44Well, thanks.
- 32:46Of course.
- 32:47You know, if you need to take the day off tomorrow, that's completely okay with me.
- 32:52No, it's fine.
- 32:53I'll be up and at them in the morning.
- 32:55Well, if you change your mind by the way, there's a big fight tomorrow at Earth Rumble Stadium.
- 33:02I was planning on getting tickets if you'd be interested in joining me.
- 33:06Oh, I'm not really into that sort of thing.
- 33:09So yourself, be sure to get some rest.
- 33:11And let me know if you need a cold rag for those bruises.
- 33:15No need.
- 33:16I'll just head up to my room and sleep it off.
- 33:29Hey, wake up.
- 33:31What? Who's that? Over here and the cell across from you? What do you want? Your name? Mine's ora.
- 33:40Mine's? Brock.
- 33:43I was sleeping.
- 33:44Yeah, sorry.
- 33:46I was bored.
- 33:47You woke me up because you were bored? That seems kind of rude.
- 33:51Maybe.
- 33:51Hey, you want to get out of here, right? What? What kind of question is that? Well, you'd be kind of surprised at how many people are willing to just work, eat and sleep in this camp.
- 34:03It's like they don't even know they're captives.
- 34:06Yeah, well, it's not like we wouldn't rather be free.
- 34:09You'd be amazed at the people that just chose to become subservient.
- 34:12They accept their situation rather than fight their oppressors.
- 34:16And why would they do that? What causes that sort of thought? Helplessness? Well, you won't catch me accepting this.
- 34:25I found that those that end up down here in these cells often aren't the type to take things lying down.
- 34:31You see a lot of Fire Nation prison cells? I'm working my way through all of them.
- 34:36What do you mean? You seem like someone I can trust.
- 34:39I'm a member of an organization.
- 34:41A secret organization.
- 34:43One intent on giving hope to people like you who are stuck in places like this and remind the Fire Nation of who it is they're dealing with.
- 34:51Are you the avatar? What? No.
- 34:54Are you some sort of special agent for the Earth King, then? No, I'm a.
- 34:59Member of the Rescue Team squadron.
- 35:01The what? Rescue Team Squadron.
- 35:04You've never heard of us? Well, we don't get a lot of news from the outside in here, especially of a secret organization.
- 35:11Fair point.
- 35:12Also, isn't team and squadron kind of redundant? Shut up.
- 35:17It sounded cool.
- 35:18Okay, all right, my bad.
- 35:20Anyways, if you're ready, it's time for me to go, and I sure could use your help if you're interested in busting everyone out of this camp right now.
- 35:29Duh.
- 35:30I'm good at getting out of these cells, but that doesn't mean I want to stay in them.
- 35:34Yeah, but how the heck do you plan to do that? Check this out.
- 35:41Did you just quiet.
- 35:44I need a lot of concentration for this.
- 35:47Phew.
- 35:48There you go.
- 35:50Now follow me.
- 35:51I mean, yeah.
- 36:07Whoa.
- 36:07Who are these are the Rescue Team squadron.
- 36:11Well, some of them.
- 36:13They're part of the extraction team, just like me.
- 36:17Come on.
- 36:18We gotta get under the prisoner barracks and save everyone else.
- 36:35OOH.
- 36:36Another hit on Brock.
- 36:37All right, both opponents, please head back to your corner of the ring for the halftime break.
- 36:41We sure know Brock could use it's.
- 36:52Me? Mr.
- 36:53O'quran.
- 36:54What are you doing here? I said I was buying tickets to the fight tonight, didn't I? I had hopes.
- 36:59You were joking.
- 37:00Why would you say that? Of course.
- 37:02I wouldn't miss the chance to watch you fight.
- 37:05Although it is a bit difficult to see you taking so many hits.
- 37:08Yeah, that's what I was afraid of.
- 37:10May I ask, if it's not too personal, why do you do it? Do what? This.
- 37:16The fighting, the hits you take, getting knocked down every night.
- 37:20Well, it's not like I'm not trying.
- 37:22If I might share a theory and I feel like you're allowing yourself to go down, perhaps punishing yourself or something.
- 37:30Maybe for a time when you feel like you didn't have the strength to make a difference, then you feel responsible for what came out of it.
- 37:38Prince Princeton in the house.
- 37:46You cannot become subservient to the memories that oppress you.
- 37:50You must break free from them.
- 37:52Realize that there are things outside of your control, but fight against what seeks to hold you back, because that is something you do have control over.
- 38:02Remember, Brock, you have the power to determine where your future takes you.
- 38:07You have the ability to replace that which was lost in the past by paving a better future for yourself than those around you.
- 38:14Thanks, Mr.
- 38:15Elkharan.
- 38:16It's time for the fight to begin.
- 38:19Opponents, ready yourselves.
- 38:23Three, two, one.
- 38:26Go.
- 38:34Hey.
- 38:34Stop.
- 38:35It's time to dig up.
- 38:41You.
- 38:42Me? You know these people.
- 38:44Your voice can far better represent the sound of freedom they need to hear.
- 38:47He means that it's probably quicker if you tell them it's time to escape than if some stranger does.
- 38:53Yeah.
- 38:56Everyone, quickly.
- 38:57It's time to escape.
- 38:59Brock, what's going on? I met somebody, dad.
- 39:02Her name is Sora, and she was in the cells with me.
- 39:04She's part of an organization that rescues people like us from the Fire Nation work camps.
- 39:08But, Brock, it's far too dangerous.
- 39:11But what if the soldiers catch us escaping? They'd kill us all.
- 39:15Oh, that sounds a lot better than dying here in captivity, doesn't it? You said yourself you wish there was a way to get mom and the girls away from this, didn't you? You said you wanted someone to stand up to the bullies.
- 39:25Well, no one is coming to save us, dad.
- 39:27It's time for us to save ourselves.
- 39:30You're right, son.
- 39:31There's no point in sitting around waiting for others to change our lives.
- 39:36We're going to do it ourselves.
- 39:39Come on, everyone.
- 39:40No time to grab your things.
- 39:42Not that the Fire Nation gave us much anyways.
- 39:45Let's get out of here.
- 39:50I'm so proud of you, son.
- 39:52Thanks, dad.
- 39:54What is all the commotion I hear? And what's going on here? Brock.
- 40:00He'll sound the alarm.
- 40:02No, he won't.
- 40:05Putting a wall between me and the door, eh? No worries.
- 40:10I've been meaning to teach you a lesson oneonone, anyways.
- 40:14It's not going to matter.
- 40:15The prisoners will escape anyway.
- 40:17Oh, I will hunt each and every one of you down to the ends of the Earth if I have to.
- 40:28And Brock takes another hit.
- 40:32That's it.
- 40:38Another hit on Brock? I have a feeling he can't take much more of this, but, boy, what a show.
- 40:44Remember, Brock, you have the power to determine where your future takes you.
- 40:52Yeah.
- 40:54Quick, Brock.
- 40:55He's down.
- 40:57We need to leave.
- 40:58Yeah, we've got to go.
- 41:00Don't worry, son.
- 41:01I've got you.
- 41:05No.
- 41:05OOH.
- 41:06With a turn of events, brock has taken down his opponent.
- 41:10Who could have seen that coming? I don't know where that came from, kid, but color me impressed.
- 41:19Here's your cash for winning.
- 41:21It's a lot more than losing, that's for sure.
- 41:24But, hey, you deserve it.
- 41:26You made me a lot of money tonight, Rock.
- 41:28Are you okay? Yeah, I'm all right.
- 41:31It hurts a lot less when you win.
- 41:33Oh, I'm sure it does.
- 41:35Now, let's get you back home so you can get some rest.
- 41:38Sure, but can we stop at the delivery station on the way? Sure, but what for? I need to send my winnings back home to my family.
- 41:45I want them to be proud of me, too.
- 41:47Of course, my friend.
- 41:48Of course.
- 41:50You did really well back there.
- 41:52You just have to learn when it's time to fight and when to fight.
- 41:55Yeah, I'm sure I'll figure it out someday, though.
- 41:57Your family will be safe here.
- 41:59We bring a lot of Earth vendors with nowhere to go to this refugee camp.
- 42:02They'll have everything they need until we're able to move them to the outer ring of Bossing say sora.
- 42:08What? Seriously, I appreciate you busting us out of here.
- 42:11You were part of it, too.
- 42:12Think yourself and once you do figure things out, there's always a place for you in the rescue team squadron.
- 42:19Not until they change that stupid name.
- 42:21Excuse me? But in all seriousness, I'm going to head off on my own for a bit.
- 42:29Set things up so my family is well taken care of.
- 42:31Dad doesn't know much about farming and he can't do that from here.
- 42:34So until they're back to harvesting crops like the good old days, I gotta make sure that they're supplied for.
- 42:39You're a good son, Brock.
- 42:41But where will that take you? I'm not completely sure, but there's a traveling tea guy in the camp that said he's going to some city called Gaoling or Gua Ling where he's got a tea shop, so he says.
- 42:53He's got some other kids my age that work there.
- 42:55And then one of the other soldiers say they have this awesome fighting ring there.
- 42:59Sounds like a good opportunity to make a living and maybe learn to fight at the same time.
- 43:03Sounds like a good set up to me.
- 43:05What about you? My passion lies with a squad I'm going to keep on busting Earthbenders out of prison camps while busting some firebenders up in the process.
- 43:14Sounds like a dream come true.
- 43:15Go get yourself killed out there without changing that stupid name.
- 43:18Okay? I promise.
- 43:19So long as you don't get beat to dust in that fighting, right? Oh, I'm going to be wiping the floor with those other guys.
