Mega Edition: Jeffrey Epstein And The Real Engine Behind His Machine (10/13/26) · The Epstein Chronicles

0:01
Speaker 1: Alright, today what we're going to talk about is Deutsche
0:05
Speaker 1: Bank a little bit more. We're going to add a
0:07
Speaker 1: little more context to the whole entire shitshow that is
0:13
Speaker 1: the financial system and especially an outlet like Deutsche Bank
0:18
Speaker 1: who knew the sort of scumbags they were dealing with.
0:25
Speaker 1: They knew the kind of person Jeffrey Epstein was and
0:28
Speaker 1: they still did business with him. This isn't before anyone
0:34
Speaker 1: knew that Jeffrey Epstein was a sex offender. This is
0:37
Speaker 1: after J.P. Morgan dropped Epstein and Deutsche Bank came strolling
0:41
Speaker 1: right in for the save. What do they care if
0:45
Speaker 1: Jeffrey Epstein's a convicted sex offender? With the who's who's
0:49
Speaker 1: list that they already have at their bank of all
0:52
Speaker 1: the degenerates and scumbags, what the hell's another sex offender
0:56
Speaker 1: added to the rolls? So they... Didn't care one for
1:02
Speaker 1: one second about Jeffrey Epstein's infamy or about Jeffrey Epstein
1:07
Speaker 1: abusing young girls and women. The only time they cared
1:11
Speaker 1: is when they got put on blast, when they had
1:13
Speaker 1: to pay some penalties for their behaviors. Oh, then they
1:17
Speaker 1: took note. Then it's a big deal. But leading up
1:20
Speaker 1: to that, what did they care? All about that money.
1:25
Speaker 1: It is all about the fazools to these people. And
1:28
Speaker 1: of course, the consolidation of power. Because if you just
1:31
Speaker 1: have the money and you don't have the influence, the
1:35
Speaker 1: people on high, well, you're not worth as much, right?
1:39
Speaker 1: If you're only bringing the money, you're not worth as
1:42
Speaker 1: much as somebody who's bringing the money and the influence.
1:46
Speaker 1: Because we know that information is way more valuable than
1:51
Speaker 1: even money to these people. So that's why I find
1:55
Speaker 1: it laughable when you have outlets like Deutsche Bank, financial
1:58
Speaker 1: institutions like Deutsche Bank, acting like they had no idea
2:02
Speaker 1: the type of scumbag vipers they were in bed with.
2:07
Speaker 1: It falls on deaf ears with me, I know it
2:10
Speaker 1: falls on deaf ears with all of you out there,
2:12
Speaker 1: and the general public as a whole is starting to
2:16
Speaker 1: get really fed up with places like Deutsche Bank and
2:19
Speaker 1: other institutions that are continuously providing financial capital to some
2:25
Speaker 1: of the scummiest people amongst us. Our article today is
2:31
Speaker 1: from fortune.com. And this article was originally published on July
2:37
Speaker 1: 9th of 2020. Headline, Deutsche Bank eagerly took on clients
2:43
Speaker 1: dumped by JP Morgan Chase. Now it's facing big fines.
2:49
Speaker 1: So again, this is from July. So we have hindsight
2:54
Speaker 1: to guide us and look back at what has been
2:57
Speaker 1: revealed now And compare it to what was known then.
3:03
Speaker 1: And I think it's always important to add as much
3:05
Speaker 1: context as we possibly can in these situations. Especially when
3:09
Speaker 1: we're talking about the financials. Because it's confusing, right? To
3:14
Speaker 1: keep track of all of these financials. All of the
3:16
Speaker 1: different ties that Epstein had with banks and financiers, etc, etc.
3:21
Speaker 1: There's a lot. But I think that it all comes
3:25
Speaker 1: back to Deutsche Bank. I believe that after Epstein was
3:29
Speaker 1: dropped by JP Morgan, Deutsche Bank was pretty much the
3:33
Speaker 1: only game left in town. So I think if there's
3:36
Speaker 1: a full forensic investigation into Jeffrey Epstein and his ties
3:42
Speaker 1: to Deutsche Bank, I believe that it will reveal a
3:46
Speaker 1: whole lot more about his wealth building and his financial patterns. Now,
3:52
Speaker 1: I would think that they're already doing that. The prosecutors...
3:56
Speaker 1: But if they're not, I think it would be a
3:59
Speaker 1: pretty good idea to start. This article was authored by
4:04
Speaker 1: Christian Berthelsen. The trio of clients that got Deutsche Bank, AG,
4:11
Speaker 1: and regulatory trouble this week had a shared backstory. They
4:15
Speaker 1: were all castoffs of JPMorgan Chase and Company. Now, we
4:20
Speaker 1: know about JPMorgan and we know about Jess Staley. and
4:26
Speaker 1: his help to Jeffrey Epstein as far as building wealth
4:33
Speaker 1: and making Jeffrey Epstein a preferred client. Now, once Jess
4:38
Speaker 1: Staley leaves the company, all of a sudden, they drop
4:42
Speaker 1: Jeffrey Epstein? Now they drop him? Again, it's these little things,
4:47
Speaker 1: these little nuggets that we learn along the way that
4:51
Speaker 1: all build up, right? It's all of this circumstantial evidence
4:54
Speaker 1: that all builds up That turns into probable cause and
4:58
Speaker 1: then that turns into a real full-blown investigation. And there
5:03
Speaker 1: is plenty of that here when it comes to Jeffrey
5:06
Speaker 1: Epstein and his ties to the financial world. So I'd really, really, really,
5:10
Speaker 1: really love to see a wide, wide, wide net cast
5:16
Speaker 1: over all of these people that were involved with him
5:18
Speaker 1: financially because it is about time. that these extremely rich,
5:28
Speaker 1: extremely evil people understand, that they're no longer going to
5:33
Speaker 1: get away with the shit that they've been getting away
5:36
Speaker 1: with for all of these years. Deutsche Bank moved millions
5:42
Speaker 1: of dollars across the globe for convicted sex offender Jeffrey
5:45
Speaker 1: Epstein in the past decade, and billions on behalf of
5:49
Speaker 1: international lenders Danske Bank AS and FBME Bank Limited along
5:56
Speaker 1: the way. The German bank missed or disregarded compliance red
6:00
Speaker 1: flags for years. New York's Department of Financial Services said
6:06
Speaker 1: Tuesday in levying $ 150 million in penalties. And Danske Bank
6:13
Speaker 1: is another important cog in the machine here. If you
6:17
Speaker 1: folks are bored out there and you want to dive
6:19
Speaker 1: in and do some research, I think Dansk Bank is
6:22
Speaker 1: a good place to dig in. Now, I've done some
6:27
Speaker 1: of my own cursory glances into Dansk Bank and it
6:32
Speaker 1: is a, uh, quite the shadowy operation, shall we say.
6:38
Speaker 1: So if any of you out there are looking for
6:40
Speaker 1: something to dig into and, uh, you want to, uh,
6:44
Speaker 1: take a look at some pretty interesting stuff as far
6:47
Speaker 1: as the financials go, that's definitely a road to travel.
6:54
Speaker 1: JP Morgan's moves to offload those same clients years earlier
6:59
Speaker 1: may have helped it dodge a similar bullet. And I wonder,
7:02
Speaker 1: and again, this is me spitballing here. I don't have
7:06
Speaker 1: any evidence directly pointing to this, but was JP Morgan
7:13
Speaker 1: tipped off Did somebody in the regulation department of the
7:18
Speaker 1: United States government tip them off and say, hey, look,
7:21
Speaker 1: you guys better dump Epstein. You guys better dump these
7:23
Speaker 1: guys because the hammer's coming. Again, we know that there
7:29
Speaker 1: are a lot of ties that bind these financial houses
7:33
Speaker 1: and the people who are supposed to be monitoring them.
7:38
Speaker 1: All of these different... you know, the SEC, the Federal
7:42
Speaker 1: Exchange Commission, all of these places, all of the people
7:45
Speaker 1: that work in these places have worked on Wall Street before, usually.
7:49
Speaker 1: So it's still a big old boys club, and girls club,
7:52
Speaker 1: by the way, of the so-called elite monitoring themselves, investigating themselves,
7:59
Speaker 1: and then every now and then throwing a little bit
8:01
Speaker 1: of sacrificial blood all over the altar for the rest
8:04
Speaker 1: of us. See, look, we're doing our jobs. Meanwhile... It's
8:09
Speaker 1: obvious that they're not. The biggest U.S. bank stepped away
8:17
Speaker 1: from handling money for FBME in 2009. It distanced from
8:22
Speaker 1: the others around 2013, the same year it undertook broad
8:27
Speaker 1: purge of high-risk clients from its correspondent banking business. Yeah,
8:33
Speaker 1: something fishy going on there. Pretty sure that J.P. Morgan
8:36
Speaker 1: was probably tipped off. that things were going to turn.
8:41
Speaker 1: And as it stated just here in the article, JP
8:43
Speaker 1: Morgan is the biggest banking house in the country. And
8:46
Speaker 1: their reach is far and it is wide. So it
8:53
Speaker 1: is not beyond the realm to think that these people
8:56
Speaker 1: were tipped off that something was coming down the road.
9:00
Speaker 1: And they dumped all of these high-profile clients before they
9:05
Speaker 1: could get caught up in it. Now... Again, I don't
9:08
Speaker 1: have any proof of that, right? Just with all that
9:12
Speaker 1: we have learned in this case, it's very difficult for
9:16
Speaker 1: me to believe that things just happen in a vacuum.
9:25
Speaker 1: The bank had incentive to offload risky clients. JP Morgan's
9:29
Speaker 1: primary U.S. regulator, the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency,
9:33
Speaker 1: put it on notice in early 2013, faulting its due
9:37
Speaker 1: diligence process and ordering it to clean up its anti-money
9:42
Speaker 1: laundering controls. All right, so there you go. They got
9:45
Speaker 1: the heads up from the Office of the Comptroller that
9:49
Speaker 1: they were not in line with what the federal guidelines
9:54
Speaker 1: state they should be doing. So JP Morgan, trying to
9:57
Speaker 1: get ahead of the curve, trying to avoid a $ 150
10:02
Speaker 1: million fine like Deutsche Bank got, decided to jettison these clients.
10:08
Speaker 1: And while that's all fine and well, and I get
10:11
Speaker 1: that they're in cover your ass mode and simply trying
10:14
Speaker 1: to save face, what about all of the money they
10:17
Speaker 1: moved for Epstein prior to that? What about all of
10:21
Speaker 1: the money they moved for other money launderers prior to that?
10:26
Speaker 1: They just get a pass on that? So that means
10:28
Speaker 1: we all just get a pass on the things that
10:29
Speaker 1: we have done in our past if they're criminal? I mean,
10:34
Speaker 1: for everybody, that's the new rule? Or only for the bankers?
10:41
Speaker 1: Later that year, the bank said it would spend $ 4
10:43
Speaker 1: billion to shore up its compliance operations, a process that
10:48
Speaker 1: included reviewing the account's of hundreds of clients and shedding
10:52
Speaker 1: many of them. Too little, too late. And again, do
10:58
Speaker 1: we really know that they followed through with all of that?
11:02
Speaker 1: These are the only shitbag clients you guys have, huh? Sure.
11:06
Speaker 1: I'm guessing you guys just woke up one day and
11:08
Speaker 1: you had a complete reversal of opinion and you decided
11:12
Speaker 1: that you're going to conduct your financial business squeaky clean
11:16
Speaker 1: with nothing but good quality, hard-earned money. Yeah, I'm positive
11:21
Speaker 1: that's what occurred. Deutsche Bank, whose business is regulated in
11:26
Speaker 1: New York, said this week that it has cooperated with
11:29
Speaker 1: authorities and that it regretted bringing Epstein on as a client. No,
11:34
Speaker 1: you don't. You regret getting caught, Deutsche Bank, home of
11:37
Speaker 1: the 26% car finance rate. You pieces of trash. The
11:43
Speaker 1: only thing you care about is that you got caught.
11:46
Speaker 1: Don't try and gaslight anybody. Don't try and act like
11:49
Speaker 1: you care. Don't try and act remorseful now. That's not
11:52
Speaker 1: the case. You're not remorseful because you were in bed
11:55
Speaker 1: with Epstein. You're remorseful because you got nailed. Although it
12:02
Speaker 1: acknowledged deficiencies in oversight of the FBME and Dansk relationships,
12:08
Speaker 1: the bank said it found no intentional effort to facilitate
12:11
Speaker 1: unlawful activity. It declined to comment for this article. Yeah,
12:15
Speaker 1: of course it did. So since this article has been out,
12:20
Speaker 1: they got slapped with $ 150 million fine the first time around,
12:24
Speaker 1: and now $ 100 million plus, $ 130 million on the second go-around.
12:28
Speaker 1: So we're talking $ 280 million. A quarter of a million
12:35
Speaker 1: dollars and some change. A quarter of a billion dollars
12:38
Speaker 1: and some change, excuse me. But yeah, there's no irregularities
12:43
Speaker 1: going on here. You know, everything that Deutsche Bank does
12:46
Speaker 1: is on the up and up. Dansky Flags. Concerns about
12:51
Speaker 1: Dansk Bank, Denmark's biggest bank, centered on its Estonia unit.
12:56
Speaker 1: New organizations, including the Organized Crime Corruption and Reporting Project,
13:01
Speaker 1: wrote in 2018 that the unit had helped rich Russians
13:05
Speaker 1: move nearly a quarter trillion dollars... from their country over
13:09
Speaker 1: the course of a decade, largely through shell corporations. So
13:18
Speaker 1: there you go. The shell corporations popping up once again.
13:21
Speaker 1: And I'm pretty sure that all of this stuff is
13:25
Speaker 1: going to be brought to light from the subpoenas that
13:29
Speaker 1: Denise George has been firing off from the Virgin Islands
13:33
Speaker 1: in her bunker. I wonder if she's getting carpal tunnel
13:36
Speaker 1: from writing up all of these subpoenas and sending them
13:38
Speaker 1: out because she's going ham, folks. Imagine if it turns
13:45
Speaker 1: out that the Attorney General of the Virgin Islands, Denise George,
13:49
Speaker 1: upstages the SDNY and the vaunted SDNY investigators and snatches
13:56
Speaker 1: this case and gets prosecutions. That would be such an
14:02
Speaker 1: enjoyable taste of irony. The bank acknowledged later that year
14:09
Speaker 1: that many of those transactions should have been flagged as suspicious.
14:14
Speaker 1: JP Morgan stopped providing the Estonia unit access to the U.S.
14:18
Speaker 1: financial system in 2013, citing the high percentage of client
14:23
Speaker 1: accounts domiciled outside the Baltic country. Deutsche Bank continued providing
14:28
Speaker 1: banking services to Dansk for another two years. And this
14:33
Speaker 1: is why Deutsche Bank really doesn't have a leg to
14:36
Speaker 1: stand on. Everybody else was bouncing. Everybody else was getting
14:41
Speaker 1: out of bed with people like this. But Deutsche Bank,
14:44
Speaker 1: they came in to fill the gap, right? They came
14:46
Speaker 1: in in the vacuum and said, hey, look, we're okay
14:49
Speaker 1: with money launderers. We're okay with human traffickers. Come on,
14:53
Speaker 1: do business with us. Everything's great. And in fact, we're
14:57
Speaker 1: going to get you some nice IPOs to turn and burn,
15:00
Speaker 1: some bank underwritten IPOs, so you and your buddy Epstein
15:04
Speaker 1: can turn and burn them. $ 280 million is not enough
15:10
Speaker 1: fine for these people. Let's get into the billions and
15:13
Speaker 1: how about some arrests? The Justice Department is investigating the
15:19
Speaker 1: role played by Dansk's correspondent banks in the U.S., including
15:23
Speaker 1: Deutsche Bank. People familiar with the matter have said, adding
15:27
Speaker 1: that the authorities are also trying to understand J.P. Morgan's role. Yeah,
15:34
Speaker 1: you want to know J.P. Morgan's role? How about you
15:36
Speaker 1: start with Jess Staley over at Barclays? A nice long
15:39
Speaker 1: conversation over some tea and some crumpets, perhaps. Because, folks,
15:46
Speaker 1: Jess Staley knows a lot more than he's letting on.
15:52
Speaker 1: Deutsche Bank had a decades-long relationship with FBME, which is
15:56
Speaker 1: registered in Tanzania and based in Cyprus. In the 1980s,
16:01
Speaker 1: the small bank was a client of Bankers Trust Bank.
16:04
Speaker 1: which Deutsche Bank acquired the next decade. So we know
16:08
Speaker 1: that Cyprus is a huge place for LLCs and shell corporations.
16:12
Speaker 1: We talked about that during the FinCEN files. And again,
16:16
Speaker 1: another reason why I added the FinCEN files. And we
16:19
Speaker 1: did all of that back work and leg work. Because
16:22
Speaker 1: when we get to a point like we're at now,
16:24
Speaker 1: when we're discussing the actual banks that were facilitating Jeffrey
16:28
Speaker 1: Epstein and his criminal behavior, all of the terminology doesn't
16:32
Speaker 1: come as a surprise then, right? were all very well
16:36
Speaker 1: and comfortable with this financial story by now, considering all
16:41
Speaker 1: of the groundwork we have laid leading up to this point.
16:49
Speaker 1: By 2005, Deutsche Bank had deemed FBME high on its
16:53
Speaker 1: risk scale, and its monitoring systems were flagging suspicious transactions
16:58
Speaker 1: at a rate of more than twice a week during
17:00
Speaker 1: some years, according to the New York Regulator. And that's
17:04
Speaker 1: a lot, twice a week. I mean, when I was
17:08
Speaker 1: working in the sports book and we were dealing with
17:14
Speaker 1: SARS and stuff like that, I would do maybe one
17:17
Speaker 1: every few months. Two a week? That's a huge clip.
17:24
Speaker 1: Although Deutsche Bank admonished FBME at times over its practices
17:29
Speaker 1: and demanded more information about its clients... The German bank
17:32
Speaker 1: continued doing business with it, the regulator said. Of course
17:36
Speaker 1: they did. It's all about the money. Oh yeah, we're
17:39
Speaker 1: going to punish you, wink, wink, nudge, nudge. We'll make
17:42
Speaker 1: it look like you're being punished, wink, wink, nudge, nudge.
17:45
Speaker 1: But in reality, just keep doing what you're doing. Our
17:47
Speaker 1: bank accounts love it. JP Morgan started doing business with
17:54
Speaker 1: FBME in the early 2000s and quickly grew frustrated with
17:58
Speaker 1: its failure to fully explain certain transactions, according to documents
18:03
Speaker 1: reviewed by Bloomberg News. The banking giant was also wary
18:08
Speaker 1: of other practices at FBME, such as offering hold mail services,
18:12
Speaker 1: in which banks allow clients to use the bank's address
18:16
Speaker 1: to limit paper trails, according to those documents. Oh yeah,
18:20
Speaker 1: that doesn't sound shady or nothing. That sounds fantastic. Ah, yeah,
18:24
Speaker 1: you guys want to hide some money? Come on. Come
18:26
Speaker 1: over here. We'll use the mail here. We'll make sure
18:27
Speaker 1: everything's hidden. Nobody will ever find a dime of it.
18:31
Speaker 1: But make sure you folks, make sure you're paying your taxes.
18:34
Speaker 1: Make sure you pay every single dollar as they squeeze you.
18:40
Speaker 1: Deutsche Bank provided banking services to FBME for five years
18:44
Speaker 1: after JP Morgan stopped, processing some $ 618 billion in all.
18:50
Speaker 1: It ended the relationship in 2014 after the U.S. Treasury
18:55
Speaker 1: labeled FBME a primary money laundering concern for its alleged
19:00
Speaker 1: work with organized crime and terror groups, effectively freezing it
19:05
Speaker 1: from the U.S. financial system. FBME has disputed those allegations.
19:11
Speaker 1: So you see the kind of people they're dealing with,
19:13
Speaker 1: organized crime, oligarchs, human traffickers, arm smugglers... arms dealers... I mean...
19:23
Speaker 1: you name it... I'm sure if Adolf Hitler and Lenin
19:26
Speaker 1: were alive... they'd have accounts at Deutsche Bank... the late Epstein...
19:33
Speaker 1: for his part... was a long time client of J.P. Morgan...
19:37
Speaker 1: characterized inside the bank... as a center of influence... who
19:40
Speaker 1: could help it attract lucrative clients... and there my friends
19:44
Speaker 1: lies the problem... Epstein was afforded all of this privilege...
19:48
Speaker 1: He was afforded all of the great IPOs to turn
19:51
Speaker 1: and burn that were underwritten because he was steering others
19:55
Speaker 1: to this bank. So the question now becomes, who were
19:58
Speaker 1: these others? And are we ever going to have a
20:01
Speaker 1: full accounting of the people that were in Epstein's sphere
20:05
Speaker 1: that he directed to places like J.P. Morgan? All these
20:09
Speaker 1: years later and we haven't seen it yet. So hopefully
20:12
Speaker 1: this investigation will prove to bear some fruit. Epstein stayed
20:19
Speaker 1: with the bank well after 2008 when he pleaded guilty
20:23
Speaker 1: in Florida to soliciting minors for prostitution. Epstein moved over
20:28
Speaker 1: to Deutsche Bank in 2013 after a banker who'd recently
20:32
Speaker 1: joined from J.P. Morgan persuaded executives to bring him aboard,
20:37
Speaker 1: according to DFS. And you see it here, right? J.P.
20:42
Speaker 1: Morgan and Jess Staley continued to do business with Jeffrey Epstein.
20:47
Speaker 1: And Jess Staley not only continued to do business with
20:49
Speaker 1: him on a private level, as far as, you know,
20:53
Speaker 1: a business relationship, they were also personal friends. With Jess
20:57
Speaker 1: Staley even going down to Epstein's Island for a nice
21:00
Speaker 1: little visit. Oh, he says he brought his wife with him,
21:03
Speaker 1: so that's okay, though. These people are all sick. And
21:07
Speaker 1: the fact that Jess Staley is still in that position
21:10
Speaker 1: over at Barclays, he should really be thanking the coronavirus
21:15
Speaker 1: pandemic because it's the only thing that has kept him
21:17
Speaker 1: in that position, in my opinion. Epstein's legal troubles mounted
21:23
Speaker 1: again in 2018. That November, the Miami Herald published a
21:28
Speaker 1: series of articles cataloging allegations from women who said they
21:32
Speaker 1: had been abused sexually by him as minors. Deutsche Bank
21:37
Speaker 1: notified Epstein in December 2018 that it would be closing
21:41
Speaker 1: his accounts. And as they say, folks, too little, too late.
21:49
Speaker 1: These financial institutions have had a long run of screwing
21:52
Speaker 1: us over. They've had a long run of nobody regulating
21:56
Speaker 1: them and nobody taking a deeper look. Well, that run
22:00
Speaker 1: is over. and hopefully with the new anti-money laundering legislation
22:05
Speaker 1: that has been passed, and a newfound interest in what
22:11
Speaker 1: these banksters are really up to, I hope that moving forward,
22:16
Speaker 1: we're able to hold them accountable for their actions, not
22:20
Speaker 1: just fine them, but send some of these executives that
22:23
Speaker 1: are involved in this shit, well, I'd like to send
22:26
Speaker 1: some of these people to prison. If you'd like to
22:29
Speaker 1: contact me, you can do that at BobbyCapucci at ProtonMail.com.
22:34
Speaker 1: That's B-O-B-B-Y-C-A-P-U-C-C-I at ProtonMail.com. You can also find me on
22:42
Speaker 1: Twitter at B-O-B-B-Y underscore C-A-P-U-C-C-I. All of the links that
22:49
Speaker 1: go with this episode can be found in the description box.
22:53
Speaker 1: All right, folks. What's up, everyone? And welcome back to
22:56
Speaker 1: the Epstein Chronicles. So a couple of the survivors of
23:01
Speaker 1: Jeffrey Epstein are now suing the financial institutions that helped
23:06
Speaker 1: facilitate his crimes. And this is a long time coming
23:09
Speaker 1: in my opinion. The financial sector bears a lot of
23:13
Speaker 1: the burden for what Jeffrey Epstein was able to do
23:16
Speaker 1: for all of those years. This was a guy who
23:19
Speaker 1: had pretty much free movement. amongst these financial institutions, even
23:24
Speaker 1: though they knew what he was. Even after his conviction,
23:27
Speaker 1: they continued to do business with him, they continued to
23:29
Speaker 1: facilitate his bullshit, and helped him right along the path
23:34
Speaker 1: of abusing these girls, and we all know, swindling a
23:38
Speaker 1: bunch of money as well. However, nobody was ever held
23:42
Speaker 1: responsible for it. We talked about Jess Staley till the
23:46
Speaker 1: cows came home here on the podcast. And finally, dude
23:50
Speaker 1: was let go from his job at Barclays. But him,
23:53
Speaker 1: Leon Black, and anyone else in the financial sector that
23:57
Speaker 1: was helping facilitate Jeffrey Epstein's crimes, they need to be
24:01
Speaker 1: held responsible. Now, obviously, nobody's going to go to prison
24:05
Speaker 1: because that never happens. But hopefully, they're going to have
24:08
Speaker 1: to at the very least pay some sort of fine
24:11
Speaker 1: and have the black mark of everybody talking about them
24:14
Speaker 1: as enablers of Jeffrey Epstein. You know, it's one thing
24:18
Speaker 1: when we get up here and we talk about it
24:19
Speaker 1: and point it out. It's a whole different thing when
24:22
Speaker 1: there's action in the court and people are actually suing
24:26
Speaker 1: over this. Because if we had a RICO case from
24:31
Speaker 1: the very beginning, this wouldn't even have to happen because
24:34
Speaker 1: all of this would have been tied up in that
24:36
Speaker 1: RICO case in a nice little bow. But the reason
24:39
Speaker 1: they didn't go RICO is because they didn't want to
24:41
Speaker 1: go all the way. They wanted to say that Maxwell
24:45
Speaker 1: was only trafficking girls to Jeffrey Epstein. And that's where
24:48
Speaker 1: they wanted to end it. But we all know how
24:50
Speaker 1: much deeper it was. We all know how much further
24:53
Speaker 1: it went. But the authorities, they couldn't be bothered to
24:57
Speaker 1: wrap it all up and RICO these sons of bitches.
25:01
Speaker 1: So now the survivors have to once again litigate in
25:04
Speaker 1: civil court and go after justice themselves. Today we have
25:10
Speaker 1: an article from the New York Post. Headline, Jeffrey Epstein's
25:14
Speaker 1: sex abuse accusers sue JP Morgan, Deutsche Bank, for alleged cover-up.
25:19
Speaker 1: This article was authored by Josh Kosman. And there's no
25:24
Speaker 1: doubt in my mind. These people knew exactly what Epstein was,
25:28
Speaker 1: but he was bringing in so much money that it
25:31
Speaker 1: was all good. It was okay. We know that they've
25:34
Speaker 1: been in business with El Chapo. We know that they've
25:36
Speaker 1: been in business with, insert scumbag oligarch here, So this
25:40
Speaker 1: should be no shock to anybody. What it should show you, however,
25:43
Speaker 1: is that the financial sector shouldn't be trusted. So why
25:47
Speaker 1: is it that every time we get a new president,
25:49
Speaker 1: we see the whole entire staff populated with clowns from
25:53
Speaker 1: the financial sector? Two women who accused Jeffrey Epstein of
26:00
Speaker 1: sexual abuse slapped J.P. Morgan and Deutsche Bank with separate lawsuits,
26:04
Speaker 1: claiming the financial giants chose profits over reining in convicted
26:08
Speaker 1: pedophiles' alleged sex trafficking operation. Yo, these are serious charges.
26:16
Speaker 1: And I've said it a million times. I wouldn't do
26:18
Speaker 1: any business with either of these banks. I had the
26:20
Speaker 1: chance to get a sick-ass Barclays card, a Aramiles travel card,
26:25
Speaker 1: and there is no way. I'm not giving my money
26:28
Speaker 1: to these gross-ass institutions. In fact, I bank with a
26:32
Speaker 1: local federal credit union because I'm so disgusted by the
26:36
Speaker 1: financial sector in general that I don't even want to
26:38
Speaker 1: put my money in one of these big banks. The women,
26:44
Speaker 1: identified only as Jane Doe's, filed the lawsuits Thursday in
26:49
Speaker 1: New York federal court seeking class action status and unspecified
26:53
Speaker 1: financial damages. according to complaints reviewed by the Post. So
26:58
Speaker 1: class action, that's awesome. I hope that does go class action.
27:01
Speaker 1: And I hope everybody who was affected by Jeffrey Epstein,
27:04
Speaker 1: all the girls we know, all the ladies we know,
27:07
Speaker 1: and those we do not, move forward and get involved
27:10
Speaker 1: with the class action suit here. The only way to
27:13
Speaker 1: go after these people, obviously, is financially, because there's no
27:17
Speaker 1: justice as far as criminal goes. So financially is the
27:21
Speaker 1: only way to slap these dudes in the lip. The
27:26
Speaker 1: lawsuit state both banks assisted and participated in Epstein's alleged
27:31
Speaker 1: sex trafficking by enabling him to make payments to women
27:34
Speaker 1: for sex acts and that the banks profited from Epstein's activity.
27:39
Speaker 1: And not only that, all of the other business Epstein
27:41
Speaker 1: brought in, all of his other rich friends. You know,
27:45
Speaker 1: when they bring in that money to the wealth asset
27:49
Speaker 1: management fund of these banks, these kinds of people like Epstein,
27:52
Speaker 1: they're superstars. They can do no wrong. Remember, it's all
27:56
Speaker 1: about the bottom line, folks. Do you really think any
27:58
Speaker 1: of these executives sitting in Deutsche Bank or JP Morgan
28:03
Speaker 1: or any of these other banks lost one single wink
28:06
Speaker 1: of sleep about what Jeffrey Epstein did to these girls,
28:08
Speaker 1: to these women? Of course they didn't because they don't care.
28:12
Speaker 1: They don't care about you. They don't care about me.
28:15
Speaker 1: They don't care about the country. All they care about
28:17
Speaker 1: is more money and increasing their power. That's it. We
28:23
Speaker 1: believe this claim lacks merit and will present our arguments
28:26
Speaker 1: in court. A Deutsche Bank spokesman told the Post, JP
28:30
Speaker 1: Morgan declined comment. Oh, I'm sure they did. The last
28:34
Speaker 1: thing JP Morgan wants to do is open their yap
28:36
Speaker 1: here because they know. They all know. And if you
28:41
Speaker 1: just go back and read the articles, you don't even
28:43
Speaker 1: have to listen to the scuttlebutt. Just go back and
28:46
Speaker 1: read the articles for yourself. about Jeffrey Epstein's behavior, about
28:51
Speaker 1: how Deutsche Bank got hit with a $ 159 million fine
28:55
Speaker 1: for facilitating Epstein's bullshit. So how is it that anyone
28:59
Speaker 1: thinks that these survivors aren't going to be successful in court?
29:04
Speaker 1: Because it certainly looks to me like they're going to
29:06
Speaker 1: come out of here with a couple of bucks because
29:08
Speaker 1: these banks, they're on the radar as it is. People
29:12
Speaker 1: are looking at these banks now, especially because what's going
29:15
Speaker 1: on in Ukraine with all of the oligarchs and stuff,
29:18
Speaker 1: and people are looking at these banks with a more
29:20
Speaker 1: severe eye now. And with this coming up, this is
29:23
Speaker 1: the perfect time to bring these banks into the story,
29:26
Speaker 1: because I think you'll have some movement here. And I
29:29
Speaker 1: think people, once they hear what happened, people who might
29:31
Speaker 1: not know, people are going to be disgusted. Both banks
29:36
Speaker 1: work with the disgraced financier pedophile after he pleaded guilty
29:40
Speaker 1: to soliciting prostitution from a minor in Florida in 2008. Remember,
29:45
Speaker 1: a minor can't be a prostitute. That's just molesting children.
29:49
Speaker 1: Epstein died in a federal Manhattan detention center in 2019
29:53
Speaker 1: while awaiting trial on federal sex trafficking charges. Well done
29:56
Speaker 1: by the author here to say he died in a
29:58
Speaker 1: federal Manhattan detention center instead of just jumping in and saying, oh,
30:02
Speaker 1: died by suicide. Because guess what? We don't know that yet.
30:06
Speaker 1: Just like we don't know if he killed himself or
30:08
Speaker 1: if somebody else killed. We don't know. That's why it
30:11
Speaker 1: always cracks. In the suit against Deutsche Bank, the woman
30:14
Speaker 1: claims she was sexually abused by Epstein and trafficked to
30:18
Speaker 1: his friends for 15 years, from about 2003 until about 2018.
30:24
Speaker 1: She was also paid in cash for sex acts, according
30:27
Speaker 1: to her suit. During that time, the bank ignored several
30:30
Speaker 1: red flags, including payments to numerous young women and large
30:34
Speaker 1: withdrawals of cash, the suit said. New York's regulator found Epstein,
30:38
Speaker 1: his related entities, and associates had more than 40 accounts
30:42
Speaker 1: at Deutsche Bank, according to the Wall Street Journal, which
30:45
Speaker 1: first broke the news of the lawsuits. And not only that,
30:48
Speaker 1: we know that Jeffrey Epstein's lawyer, Darren Indyk, was engaging
30:52
Speaker 1: in structuring to try and beat Title 31. He would
30:56
Speaker 1: go and he would withdraw amounts of money that didn't
30:59
Speaker 1: go over the CTR mark of $ 10, 000. 01. And he would
31:03
Speaker 1: make a bunch of these withdrawals. So what's supposed to
31:05
Speaker 1: happen is the banks are supposed to put in something
31:08
Speaker 1: called a SAR, a Suspicious Activity Report. And instead, this
31:13
Speaker 1: guy was able to continue to structure over and over
31:15
Speaker 1: and over again. That's a federal crime. And if they
31:19
Speaker 1: wanted to go after Indyk, that was their inroad. But
31:22
Speaker 1: once again, they let him off the hook. Deutsche Bank
31:28
Speaker 1: knowingly participated in Epstein's sex trafficking venture by, among other things,
31:33
Speaker 1: providing the financial underpinnings for Epstein to have ready and
31:37
Speaker 1: reliable access to resources, including cash to recruit, lure, coerce,
31:42
Speaker 1: and entice young women and girls to be sexually abused
31:46
Speaker 1: and to cause them to engage in commercial sex acts
31:49
Speaker 1: and other degradations, the suit said. When considering whether to
31:53
Speaker 1: participate in the sex trafficking venture, and before onboarding Epstein,
31:58
Speaker 1: Deutsche Bank estimated that it would earn between $ 2 million
32:01
Speaker 1: to $ 4 million annually by funding the sex trafficking venture
32:05
Speaker 1: and handling the accounts of Epstein-related entities, the suit adds.
32:10
Speaker 1: And none of that is incorrect. I mean, I'm just
32:13
Speaker 1: here to tell you, from following this story from Jump
32:16
Speaker 1: Street and following especially the financial angle of it, bro, 100%,
32:22
Speaker 1: They facilitated this man's behavior. You can't act as the
32:25
Speaker 1: bag man for this dude and then not expect anything
32:28
Speaker 1: to come down when the house of cards tumbles. The
32:34
Speaker 1: woman suing JP Morgan was recruited by another young female
32:38
Speaker 1: and sexually abused by Epstein from 2006 through 2013, according
32:43
Speaker 1: to her suit. Identified as a former ballet dancer in
32:46
Speaker 1: New York, she alleges she was trafficked to Epstein's friends
32:49
Speaker 1: for large sums of money. that were withdrawn from J.P.
32:52
Speaker 1: Morgan to make cash payments to her and other women.
32:56
Speaker 1: Epstein used the cash to pay for sex acts, the
32:59
Speaker 1: suit said. The suit accuses former J.P. Morgan head of
33:03
Speaker 1: private banking, Jess Staley, of first establishing a business relationship
33:07
Speaker 1: in 2000 with Epstein that lasted through 2013, when he
33:12
Speaker 1: left J.P. Morgan and the bank distanced itself from Epstein,
33:15
Speaker 1: giving Epstein's operations credibility. The suit does not allege that
33:19
Speaker 1: Staley was personally aware of Epstein's sex trafficking ring. Oh boy,
33:24
Speaker 1: I don't know about that. Look, Jeff Staley was very
33:26
Speaker 1: close to Jeffrey Epstein. Very, very close. So I think
33:30
Speaker 1: it would be a very tough sell to try and
33:34
Speaker 1: convince me that he didn't know of his buddy's proclivities. Now,
33:37
Speaker 1: did he know the full extent of it? I don't
33:39
Speaker 1: know that for sure. So I can't make that allegation.
33:42
Speaker 1: But to try and convince me that he was none
33:44
Speaker 1: the wiser, yeah, that's a bridge too far. The relationship
33:51
Speaker 1: between Epstein and Staley was symbiotic, the suit said. Epstein
33:56
Speaker 1: agreed to bring many ultra-high-wealth clients to J.P. Morgan, and
34:00
Speaker 1: in exchange, Staley would use his clout with J.P. Morgan
34:04
Speaker 1: to make Epstein untouchable. A lawyer for Staley declined to
34:07
Speaker 1: comment to the Wall Street Journal. And Jeff Staley has
34:10
Speaker 1: been one of the main people we've talked about here
34:13
Speaker 1: that needs a further look. When we're talking about the
34:16
Speaker 1: financial sector, him and Leon Black for sure need a
34:19
Speaker 1: further look. This meant that J.P. Morgan would keep Epstein
34:23
Speaker 1: on as a client at all costs, including failing to
34:26
Speaker 1: act on any red flags and ultimately allowing him the
34:30
Speaker 1: ability to run and grow what the bank was obviously
34:33
Speaker 1: an operation designed to sexually abuse and traffic countless young women,
34:37
Speaker 1: the suit continued. With J.P. Morgan's complicity, Epstein was free
34:42
Speaker 1: to sexually abuse hundreds of women, paying millions in hush money,
34:46
Speaker 1: without the fear of detection by law enforcement. Epstein used
34:49
Speaker 1: the support from reputable institutions, like J.P. Morgan, to help
34:53
Speaker 1: cover up his criminal activity, the suit said. Folks, I'll
34:57
Speaker 1: tell you what, I am happy as hell to hear
34:59
Speaker 1: that this lawsuit is out there now, because these banks
35:02
Speaker 1: need to be held responsible. They run around and do
35:05
Speaker 1: whatever they want, and nobody is ever held to account.
35:08
Speaker 1: Oh sure, a couple of people might, you know, lose
35:10
Speaker 1: their job or whatever, but does anyone ever go to prison?
35:14
Speaker 1: Of course they don't. So it's going to be interesting
35:16
Speaker 1: to see how much more this suit grows and how
35:20
Speaker 1: much more it balloons. Because it being a class action suit,
35:23
Speaker 1: I would certainly expect more of the survivors to get
35:25
Speaker 1: on board. So we'll see where it goes. And obviously,
35:28
Speaker 1: like usual, we'll be on top of it. All right, folks,
35:32
Speaker 1: that's going to do it for this one. If you'd
35:33
Speaker 1: like to contact me, you can do that at bobbycapucci
35:37
Speaker 1: at protonmail.com. That's B-O-B-B-Y-C-A-P-U-C-C-I at protonmail.com. can also find me
35:45
Speaker 1: on Twitter at B-O-B-B-Y underscore C-A-P-U-C-C-I. The link that I
35:51
Speaker 1: discussed can be found in the description box. What's up, everyone,
35:57
Speaker 1: and welcome back to the Epstein Chronicles. The survivors of
36:03
Speaker 1: Jeffrey Epstein, at least some of them, have decided that
36:06
Speaker 1: they're going to sue some of the financial institutions that
36:10
Speaker 1: helped enable Jeffrey Epstein's bullshit. Well, Deutsche Bank, one of
36:15
Speaker 1: those banks, is claiming that a settlement signed by one
36:19
Speaker 1: of Epstein's survivors provides them with protection from this lawsuit.
36:24
Speaker 1: And it's funny how many of these institutions or people
36:27
Speaker 1: that were once involved with Jeffrey Epstein like to point
36:30
Speaker 1: to all of these deals that he cut with the
36:32
Speaker 1: government to provide protection for them. It's almost as if
36:37
Speaker 1: Jeffrey Epstein was doing it all on purpose, huh? Today's
36:41
Speaker 1: article is from Law and Crime. Headline, Deutsche Bank claims
36:45
Speaker 1: settlement deal with Jeffrey Epstein's survivor shields them from lawsuit
36:49
Speaker 1: accusing them of complicity. This article was authored by Adam
36:54
Speaker 1: Klasfeld and it was published over in Law and Crime.
36:59
Speaker 1: Deutsche Bank claims that a settlement agreement signed by Jeffrey
37:03
Speaker 1: Epstein's survivor insulates them from a lawsuit accusing them of
37:07
Speaker 1: complicity with the predator's sex trafficking crimes. Now look, Deutsche
37:12
Speaker 1: Bank is filled with bad, dirty money. It always has been.
37:17
Speaker 1: And until somebody shuts them down, it always will be.
37:21
Speaker 1: They just have to pay their own shareholders money over
37:25
Speaker 1: their dumb ass behavior with Jeffrey Epstein. And if we
37:29
Speaker 1: lived in a country with real justice, the banks would
37:32
Speaker 1: have all been caught up in this nonsense from day one.
37:35
Speaker 1: All you needed to do was hit Jeffrey Epstein and
37:38
Speaker 1: Ghislaine Maxwell with a RICO charge, but they didn't do it. Meanwhile,
37:42
Speaker 1: they're filing RICO predicates against everybody and their mother, but
37:46
Speaker 1: not against the people who really deserve it. I wonder
37:49
Speaker 1: who they were trying to protect. Ever since Epstein's death,
37:54
Speaker 1: his accused accomplices, associates and enablers frequently invoked agreements that
37:59
Speaker 1: he signed while he was alive as releasing them from liability.
38:04
Speaker 1: Convicted sex trafficker Ghislaine Maxwell pointed to the expansive and
38:09
Speaker 1: controversial non-prosecution agreement. Epstein reached with federal prosecutors in 2008,
38:15
Speaker 1: which purported to shield any possible co-conspirator. Now, what sort
38:20
Speaker 1: of deal is that? And how is it that Jeff
38:23
Speaker 1: Jeffrey Epstein rates for that kind of deal where it
38:26
Speaker 1: shields any of your co-conspirators mentioned or unmentioned? How is
38:30
Speaker 1: that even possible? And where do you sign up to
38:33
Speaker 1: get that deal? Oh, that's right. You have to know
38:35
Speaker 1: people at the Justice Department. You have to have a
38:38
Speaker 1: team of lawyers who are way beyond what most people
38:42
Speaker 1: can even imagine ever being able to afford. And then
38:46
Speaker 1: those lawyers, well, they have relationships with all of the
38:48
Speaker 1: scumbag judges. So most of these rich people, they never
38:52
Speaker 1: even see a courtroom. Everything's worked out over dinner or
38:55
Speaker 1: over a game of golf, or if you're Jeffrey Epstein,
38:59
Speaker 1: over a phone call to the head of the Department
39:01
Speaker 1: of Justice. That effort failed after a federal judge found
39:05
Speaker 1: that those prosecutors in Florida did not speak to the
39:09
Speaker 1: Southern District of New York. In 2009, Epstein inked a $ 500, 000
39:15
Speaker 1: deal to resolve a lawsuit with one of his most
39:18
Speaker 1: visible victims, Virginia Roberts, releasing other potential defendants from liability.
39:24
Speaker 1: Prince Andrew had claimed that the document explicitly shielded royalty,
39:28
Speaker 1: but a federal judge refused to dismiss the case on
39:31
Speaker 1: those grounds. The lawsuit later settled on undisclosed terms, reported
39:36
Speaker 1: to be the equivalent of $ 16 million. So they're trying
39:41
Speaker 1: to say that because the settlement was reached with Virginia,
39:45
Speaker 1: that none of these lawsuits should go forward. Now, you
39:48
Speaker 1: might have a leg to stand on if you're talking
39:51
Speaker 1: about Virginia specifically, but what about the other women who
39:55
Speaker 1: are making the same accusations? You see, this is such
39:58
Speaker 1: a layered case, and there are so many people involved
40:02
Speaker 1: as far as victims. But remember, we've only seen a
40:05
Speaker 1: very small portion of them that have come forward and
40:08
Speaker 1: been vocal about what they alleged happened to them. But
40:12
Speaker 1: how many women out there have not come forward. How
40:15
Speaker 1: many kids out there were abused as well and have
40:18
Speaker 1: never said anything to anybody? My fear is that number
40:23
Speaker 1: is way more inflated than any of us want to accept. Now,
40:30
Speaker 1: add the German lender to the pantheon of accused Epstein
40:33
Speaker 1: enablers pointing to such deals to avoid legal trouble. And
40:37
Speaker 1: you notice it's never, I'm innocent. It's never, oh, we
40:40
Speaker 1: didn't do this. They just point to the bullshit deals
40:43
Speaker 1: that Epstein and his powerhouse attorneys were able to finagle.
40:48
Speaker 1: It's never about, oh, we didn't have anything to do
40:50
Speaker 1: with this. We didn't involve ourselves in enabling Jeffrey Epstein
40:54
Speaker 1: because they know they did. So what they'll do, they'll
40:57
Speaker 1: try and get off on a loophole or a technicality
41:00
Speaker 1: like every other scumbag. As consideration for redacted payment of
41:07
Speaker 1: redacted from the Epstein estate, plaintiff knowingly and with the
41:11
Speaker 1: advice of counsel agreed to a broad release of any
41:15
Speaker 1: and all claims, including relating to acts of sexual abuse
41:19
Speaker 1: or sex trafficking by Epstein against not only Epstein and
41:23
Speaker 1: his estate, but also against a wide array of other
41:27
Speaker 1: individuals and entities, including any entity that was ever engaged
41:32
Speaker 1: by or worked in any capacity for Epstein. Deutsche's memo
41:36
Speaker 1: in support of the motion to dismiss states. So that's
41:40
Speaker 1: what they're basing their argument on. That because Epstein made
41:43
Speaker 1: this payment of $ 500, 000 in 2009, that means that they
41:50
Speaker 1: don't have any liability, meaning Deutsche Bank, going forward because
41:54
Speaker 1: of the wording of that agreement. However, we've already seen
41:57
Speaker 1: a judge say go to hell with that with Prince Andrew.
42:00
Speaker 1: So I would expect another judge here to follow suit
42:04
Speaker 1: considering precedent has already been set. The lawsuit against Deutsch
42:10
Speaker 1: was filed anonymously, and it remains unclear from the redacted
42:13
Speaker 1: document which survivor settlement agreement the bank is citing. Under
42:18
Speaker 1: these plain terms and several others, the release clearly covers
42:22
Speaker 1: plaintiff's claims against the bank, which are predicated entirely on
42:27
Speaker 1: allegations that Epstein engaged the bank to provide banking services, e.g.
42:32
Speaker 1: custodial services, and on conclusory allegations that this work included
42:38
Speaker 1: aiding in the operation of Epstein's sex trafficking venture. The
42:42
Speaker 1: memo continues. Sigrid McCauley, an attorney for the survivors, slammed
42:47
Speaker 1: the maneuver as a bid to duck responsibility. Hey, look,
42:52
Speaker 1: we know that Sigrid McCauley, she wants to get paid, right?
42:55
Speaker 1: Let's be honest. All of these lawyers, they're not doing
42:58
Speaker 1: it because they're altruistic. They're doing it so that they
43:01
Speaker 1: can get paid. And the more money they're going to make, unfortunately,
43:06
Speaker 1: the harder they're going to fight. And you know that
43:09
Speaker 1: Deutsche Bank will be paying out big money if a
43:12
Speaker 1: settlement is reached here. So I always keep that in mind,
43:15
Speaker 1: that the motivations of the lawyers are certainly not pure.
43:21
Speaker 1: Rather than trying to hide behind a release that was
43:24
Speaker 1: never intended to protect Deutsche Bank, it should be focused
43:27
Speaker 1: on looking critically at its own failures that resulted in
43:30
Speaker 1: significant harm to countless young women, and girls trapped in
43:35
Speaker 1: Jeffrey Epstein's international sex trafficking ring, McCauley said in a statement.
43:40
Speaker 1: Last month on January 31st, senior U.S. District Judge Jed
43:44
Speaker 1: Rakoff gave the green light to a $ 26 million settlement
43:49
Speaker 1: between Deutsche and its shareholders to resolve a lawsuit about
43:53
Speaker 1: the bank's links to Epstein and Russian oligarchs. That case
43:57
Speaker 1: did not involve Epstein survivors, but rather the bank's investors
44:01
Speaker 1: who were concerned about how the reputational harm and other
44:05
Speaker 1: liabilities would affect Deutsche's stock value. You blame them? If
44:10
Speaker 1: I own stock in Deutsche Bank, I'd be selling it ASAP.
44:14
Speaker 1: Why would you want to invest in a corrupt ass
44:16
Speaker 1: corporation such as this that eventually, eventually is going to
44:21
Speaker 1: get snapped? Rakoff, a vocal critic of Wall Street after
44:26
Speaker 1: the 2008 financial crisis, refused to dismiss that lawsuit before
44:31
Speaker 1: the case was settled. The Epstein survivors, suing in a
44:34
Speaker 1: proposed class action, allege violations of the Trafficking Victims Protection
44:39
Speaker 1: Act and federal anti-racketeering law. Deutsch insists that their lawsuit
44:45
Speaker 1: does not plausibly allege that the bank committed any predicate
44:48
Speaker 1: offense or directed a criminal enterprise, which would be necessary
44:53
Speaker 1: for a RICO case. You have to establish predicates. And
44:58
Speaker 1: I'm not too sure if they're going to be able
44:59
Speaker 1: to do that. Not that I don't think there's evidence,
45:02
Speaker 1: but it's very difficult to establish those predicates. So I
45:05
Speaker 1: don't know if the terms are going to be met.
45:08
Speaker 1: And when you start using the word RICO, you better
45:11
Speaker 1: have the goods. In a separate lawsuit, the victims also
45:15
Speaker 1: accused JPMorgan Chase of complicity with Epstein. The U.S. Virgin
45:19
Speaker 1: Islands followed suit and the territories then attorney general lost
45:23
Speaker 1: her job days later. Those cases, however, remain pending. So
45:28
Speaker 1: it wasn't Denise George getting fired and the Virgin Islands
45:32
Speaker 1: getting rid of the lawsuit. There was a lot more
45:34
Speaker 1: going on there. Now, I'm certainly not a fan of
45:37
Speaker 1: Governor Bryant, but I'm not a fan of Denise George either.
45:41
Speaker 1: And watching people rally around Denise George was hilarious, honestly,
45:45
Speaker 1: considering that this woman literally did nothing to move the
45:49
Speaker 1: ball forward when it comes to justice. Chase, the world's
45:55
Speaker 1: largest bank, recently tried to dismiss the Virgin Islands suit,
45:58
Speaker 1: claiming the territory tried to add the $ 100 million bounty
46:02
Speaker 1: of a settlement at reach with Epstein's estate. That mega
46:05
Speaker 1: bank characterized the lawsuit as meritless, reach into deeper pockets.
46:11
Speaker 1: The survivor's attorney, David Boies, expressed disappointment in the bank's position. Oh,
46:16
Speaker 1: I bet he did. David Boies has dollar signs dancing
46:19
Speaker 1: in his eyes, I'm sure. We believe the facts set
46:23
Speaker 1: forth to our complaints. In the related complaint of the
46:27
Speaker 1: Attorney General of the Virgin Islands and in regulatory proceedings
46:31
Speaker 1: to which the banks have been parties speak for themselves,
46:35
Speaker 1: he wrote in a statement, we are disappointed in the
46:37
Speaker 1: bank's continuing effort to avoid taking responsibility for their role
46:43
Speaker 1: in the expansion and perpetuation of Jeffrey Epstein's sex trafficking ring.
46:50
Speaker 1: So they're coming hard at these banks. And I'll tell
46:52
Speaker 1: you what, the banks should be held responsible. But I
46:55
Speaker 1: wish we would see this in more of a legal
46:58
Speaker 1: challenge and not in the civil realm. It's a shame
47:02
Speaker 1: that this always has to be done in civil court
47:05
Speaker 1: because that means no one's ever going to be held
47:07
Speaker 1: responsible for Criminally. And how many people out there that
47:12
Speaker 1: were involved in this should be? Guess what, folks? All
47:16
Speaker 1: of them. So I would really like to see some
47:18
Speaker 1: criminal movement here, but I'm not getting my hopes up.
47:21
Speaker 1: After all of these years following what's going on here,
47:25
Speaker 1: it's rather obvious that everybody else who was involved, well,
47:28
Speaker 1: they're getting a pass. And to me, that's one of
47:31
Speaker 1: the biggest miscarriages of justice of all time. All right, folks,
47:36
Speaker 1: that's going to do it for this one. All of
47:39
Speaker 1: the information that goes with the episode can be found
47:42
Speaker 1: in the description box. What's up everyone and welcome back
47:47
Speaker 1: to the Epstein Chronicles. We're getting news this morning that J.P.
47:52
Speaker 1: Morgan has decided to settle with the survivors who sued
47:57
Speaker 1: them in regard to the Jeffrey Epstein criminal enterprise. Now,
48:02
Speaker 1: if you've been following the podcast, you know that this
48:04
Speaker 1: was going to be the outcome. I've been telling you
48:07
Speaker 1: that they were going to settle since this all started.
48:10
Speaker 1: There was never a scenario where we were going to
48:13
Speaker 1: see JP Morgan battle against Jeffrey Epstein survivors in court
48:18
Speaker 1: where JP Morgan would have to go through the discovery phase.
48:22
Speaker 1: It was never going to happen. The cost to litigate
48:24
Speaker 1: something like this is so massive that a lot of
48:27
Speaker 1: times having a settlement is the more financially reasonable way
48:32
Speaker 1: to go. And we all know it's about finances for
48:35
Speaker 1: all of these people. They could just break out the
48:38
Speaker 1: checkbook when they do something wrong. Not like me or you.
48:41
Speaker 1: We'll go to jail, right? Not them. If you're in
48:44
Speaker 1: charge of JP Morgan and you were involved in human
48:48
Speaker 1: trafficking with Jeffrey Epstein, no matter what the capacity was,
48:51
Speaker 1: no big deal. You're going to skate here. You're not
48:53
Speaker 1: going to have to deal with anything because you have
48:56
Speaker 1: the ability to open up that checkbook and make a
48:59
Speaker 1: financial arrangement. The only problem with that for the rest
49:02
Speaker 1: of us in society is that the person who is
49:05
Speaker 1: being slapped financially here, well, they might take a financial hit,
49:09
Speaker 1: but they're not having any other penalties slapped upon them.
49:13
Speaker 1: They're not going to prison. There's no real ramifications for
49:16
Speaker 1: the bullshit that these people get up to. And the
49:18
Speaker 1: sad part is it ends up. being the shareholders who
49:21
Speaker 1: end up paying these fines, end up paying these lawsuits anyway.
49:26
Speaker 1: It's not like it's coming out of Jamie Dimon's pocket.
49:29
Speaker 1: What do you think? He's going to the vault and
49:31
Speaker 1: he's pulling out a bunch of bags of money to
49:33
Speaker 1: pay off these accusers? Of course not. It's going to
49:36
Speaker 1: be JP Morgan as an institution who ends up footing
49:40
Speaker 1: the bill. And what do any of these executives care
49:43
Speaker 1: if that keeps happening? They're not going to be penalized personally,
49:46
Speaker 1: so what does it matter? Oh sure, they're giving you
49:48
Speaker 1: some red meat here, just daily, just like I told
49:51
Speaker 1: you they would. And part of that plan is settling
49:54
Speaker 1: with these survivors. So there was never a scenario that
49:57
Speaker 1: your boy saw that it didn't end up like this.
50:01
Speaker 1: And as far as the survivors go, they should get restitution. 100%,
50:05
Speaker 1: without a doubt, they should get restitution. And the U.S.
50:08
Speaker 1: Virgin Island government that went after all of these folks
50:12
Speaker 1: in a civil manner, They should have went after them
50:14
Speaker 1: with actual RICO and there should have been criminal penalties
50:19
Speaker 1: because that would have been the full Monty, right? Not
50:21
Speaker 1: only are we going after your finances, well, we're also
50:25
Speaker 1: going to throw your bitch asses in jail if you're
50:28
Speaker 1: guilty of any crimes here. And I don't just mean
50:30
Speaker 1: crimes that have to do with human trafficking. I'm talking
50:33
Speaker 1: about financial crimes, money laundering, not paying taxes, whatever it
50:38
Speaker 1: might be. Because at the end of the day, that
50:41
Speaker 1: is the only way to ever get any of these
50:44
Speaker 1: rich and powerful people. With all of the evidence they
50:47
Speaker 1: had on a guy like Al Capone, what did they
50:49
Speaker 1: end up getting him on? And what do they usually
50:52
Speaker 1: go after people for? That's right, financial crimes. Because there's
50:56
Speaker 1: hardly any way to wiggle out of that. Unless, of course,
50:59
Speaker 1: you're JP Morgan or you're a guy like Jeffrey Epstein.
51:03
Speaker 1: Today's article is from Fox Business. Headline, JP Morgan agrees
51:07
Speaker 1: to settle Jeffrey Epstein victim class action lawsuit. JP Morgan
51:12
Speaker 1: has yet to announce details of the deal with Epstein accusers.
51:16
Speaker 1: So it did go class action. Obviously, we were talking
51:18
Speaker 1: about Judge Rakoff certifying it to go class action. And
51:23
Speaker 1: that's one of the main reasons here that you're seeing
51:25
Speaker 1: JP Morgan settle. They don't want to have to deal
51:27
Speaker 1: with a Camp Lejeune type of situation, right? They don't
51:31
Speaker 1: want Saul coming in and making this a Sandpiper crossing
51:35
Speaker 1: type of deal. So what they're going to do is
51:38
Speaker 1: they're going to settle now. They'll take that one big
51:41
Speaker 1: financial hit, put it on the balance sheet, and keep
51:44
Speaker 1: it moving, as opposed to getting bled over a period
51:47
Speaker 1: of time during a lengthy bout of litigation. This article
51:52
Speaker 1: was authored by Anders Hagstrom. JPMorgan Chase has reached an
51:58
Speaker 1: agreement to settle a lawsuit from victims of Jeffrey Epstein
52:01
Speaker 1: the bank announced on Monday. The financial institution says has
52:05
Speaker 1: yet to release details regarding the settlement agreement, which is
52:09
Speaker 1: described as an agreement in principle. JP Morgan had been
52:13
Speaker 1: attempting to fend off the class action lawsuit for months.
52:16
Speaker 1: They were never going to be able to do it.
52:18
Speaker 1: Judge Rakoff was very clear that he was leaning towards
52:22
Speaker 1: certifying and making this a class action suit. And when
52:26
Speaker 1: you're facing down a class action suit, it's a lot different, right,
52:29
Speaker 1: than just one person who is a plaintiff against you.
52:33
Speaker 1: And JP Morgan, this isn't their first rodeo. When you
52:37
Speaker 1: have a situation that needs to be dealt with, and
52:40
Speaker 1: you have a resource that you have in abundance, and
52:43
Speaker 1: you can use that resource to get yourself out of trouble,
52:46
Speaker 1: you're going to use that resource. And what's that resource
52:48
Speaker 1: for JP Morgan? Well, you know what it is. I
52:51
Speaker 1: believe there was a song called All About the Benjamins.
52:55
Speaker 1: That's right, folks. It's all about the money. It's always
52:57
Speaker 1: about the money. And when you have an abundance of it,
53:00
Speaker 1: the way JP Morgan does... The sky is certainly the limit.
53:05
Speaker 1: The settlement is in the best interest of all parties,
53:08
Speaker 1: especially the survivors, who were victims of Epstein's terrible abuse.
53:12
Speaker 1: The bank and lawyers for the victims wrote in a
53:14
Speaker 1: joint statement. So, another question that has to be asked.
53:17
Speaker 1: I wonder how much money David Boies and Sigrid McCauley
53:20
Speaker 1: are pulling in from this bad boy. I'm sure they're
53:23
Speaker 1: getting a bunch of dough here. And they've been at
53:25
Speaker 1: the forefront of all of these gigantic lawsuits. So you
53:29
Speaker 1: know that they're raking in big dough as well. The
53:32
Speaker 1: statement did not clarify a settlement amount. I'm sure it's
53:34
Speaker 1: going to be an ungodly amount. We're talking about multiple
53:38
Speaker 1: millions for every single participant of this class action suit.
53:42
Speaker 1: That's my guess. The agreement comes weeks after JP Morgan
53:47
Speaker 1: CEO Jamie Dimon sat for a deposition interview with lawyers
53:50
Speaker 1: for the victims. The lawsuit alleged the bank had repeatedly
53:54
Speaker 1: ignored warnings that Epstein was involved in sex trafficking of
53:58
Speaker 1: young women and girls. Diamond testified that he played no
54:02
Speaker 1: part in handling Epstein's accounts with the bank. When we're
54:05
Speaker 1: dealing with J.P. Morgan, remember, we're also dealing with a
54:09
Speaker 1: cadre of high-powered lawyers who know how this dance goes.
54:13
Speaker 1: And this is also about public relations. J.P. Morgan can
54:17
Speaker 1: now point to this and say, look, we did our part.
54:20
Speaker 1: We're paying out this class action suit as restitution for
54:24
Speaker 1: our misdeeds while Epstein was our client. Now, they won't
54:27
Speaker 1: admit that in the settlement, but that's what the settlement means.
54:31
Speaker 1: Our CEO reaffirmed after his deposition that, as he has
54:34
Speaker 1: previously said, that he had never met with him, never
54:38
Speaker 1: emailed him, does not recall discussing his accounts internally, and
54:41
Speaker 1: was not involved in any decisions about his account. JP
54:45
Speaker 1: Morgan said in a statement at the time, There are
54:48
Speaker 1: millions and millions of emails and other documents that have
54:51
Speaker 1: been produced in this case, and not one comes close
54:54
Speaker 1: to even suggesting that he had any role in decisions
54:58
Speaker 1: about Epstein's account. So the boss of the whole company
55:02
Speaker 1: has no decision-making ability over one of the biggest clients
55:05
Speaker 1: in the company. So what exactly is Jamie Dimon doing
55:08
Speaker 1: all day? He's sitting around in your office eating sushi
55:11
Speaker 1: and staring out the window at the New York skyline?
55:15
Speaker 1: What the hell are you doing if you're not making
55:16
Speaker 1: decisions about some of the biggest clients and the biggest
55:19
Speaker 1: players at your institution? Lawyers for Epstein's victims filed a
55:23
Speaker 1: request to interview Diamond a second time last week. They
55:27
Speaker 1: claim that the bank had dragged its feet in producing
55:30
Speaker 1: further documents that would have changed their initial questioning of Diamond.
55:34
Speaker 1: So again, all of this initiated the bank to say,
55:38
Speaker 1: you know what? Enough is enough. The publicity is already terrible.
55:42
Speaker 1: We don't need any more nonsense. Let's settle with these
55:45
Speaker 1: survivors and then we'll turn our focus on Jess Daly.
55:49
Speaker 1: And then we'll try and recoup the money that we
55:51
Speaker 1: pay out these survivors from Jess Daly. That's been their
55:54
Speaker 1: plan from the beginning. In a letter to Judge Rakoff,
55:58
Speaker 1: an attorney for the Epstein victim, wrote that J.P. Morgan's
56:01
Speaker 1: untimely and inexplicably slow delivery of documents was a strategic move.
56:07
Speaker 1: By the way of background, in May, the court admonished
56:10
Speaker 1: JPMC for producing documents at an inexplicably slow rate. The lawyer,
56:15
Speaker 1: Sigrid McCauley, wrote on Friday, and look, you can't slow
56:19
Speaker 1: walk these documents forever. You can get away with it
56:21
Speaker 1: for a certain period of time, but eventually the other
56:25
Speaker 1: side is going to go to the court and demand redress.
56:29
Speaker 1: And from there, the court can compel you to turn
56:31
Speaker 1: over discovery items, and if not, they'll hold you in contempt. Now, obviously,
56:36
Speaker 1: it didn't get to that point, and very rarely, if ever, does.
56:40
Speaker 1: But that is the tool inside of the judge's toolbox
56:43
Speaker 1: that he can deploy, meaning you'll get that contempt charge
56:47
Speaker 1: if you're messing around too much. The new settlement agreement
56:50
Speaker 1: would render the matter of a second interview with Jamie
56:53
Speaker 1: Dimon moot, however. And that's all part of it as well. Well,
56:56
Speaker 1: you don't think Dimon walked into legal and said, look,
56:59
Speaker 1: I'm done with depositions here. Let's get a settlement crackin'. Oh,
57:03
Speaker 1: he has the ability to do that, the power to
57:05
Speaker 1: do that, huh? But not the power to chickity check
57:08
Speaker 1: Jeffrey Epstein and Jeffrey Epstein's accounts while he was a client?
57:12
Speaker 1: Sounds like a fantasy story to me. And as far
57:14
Speaker 1: as Jamie Dimon, there was no way he wanted to
57:17
Speaker 1: sit down for another deposition. Imagine how uncomfortable that all
57:20
Speaker 1: was for him. And then all of the bad publicity
57:23
Speaker 1: that comes on the backside of that. being tainted with
57:26
Speaker 1: the fallout from Jeffrey Epstein, this clown probably took a
57:29
Speaker 1: crap in his $ 50, 000 suit during that deposition, got out
57:34
Speaker 1: of there and said, look, settle with these people. I've
57:36
Speaker 1: had enough and I don't want to ever sit down
57:38
Speaker 1: and get grilled like that ever again. Quite the coincidence
57:41
Speaker 1: that right after his deposition, all of this gets into motion.
57:46
Speaker 1: And from there, it's all about numbers, right? Once Diamond
57:49
Speaker 1: and company decide that they're going to settle, now it's
57:52
Speaker 1: all about coming to a amicable agreement with the accuser
57:56
Speaker 1: on a financial sum. So we'll see what that number
57:59
Speaker 1: is moving forward. But there was no doubt that this
58:02
Speaker 1: was going to be what happened here. I knew that
58:05
Speaker 1: they were going to settle. It wasn't a matter of if,
58:08
Speaker 1: it was a matter of when. All right, folks, that's
58:11
Speaker 1: going to do it for this one. All of the
58:12
Speaker 1: information that goes with the episode can be found In
58:15
Speaker 1: the description box.
