- Sue: Category of mundane. I recently purchased four pairs of shoes for the price of one pair at their original retail price. It's the coup of the sale isn't what is driving the point of this post, more that because I have a large foot, as did my mother, I know the history of how difficult it was to get shoes that properly fit. Let's be clear. When your feet aren't happy, life can be quite miserable from the top down. Mother factors it's that there was a time recently in my life where I was unable to have the cash to buy the shoes, and that even more recently, a pair that I'm replacing, which contributed to some plantar fasciitis, will hopefully not encourage further problems. The issue for me all of my life has been there was a time pre internet, when I was a teenager, young child, where my foot was large enough to exceed that which size was normally carried in every store. My mother as a child achieve that size and then some at a point in time when the only option for her to get shoes that properly fit, other than wearing men's shoes, was to order them by mail to New York City. It was a feature of my first trip to New York City as a young child that mom was able to actually visit the store that processed the mail orders for her shoes. We have such a more efficient transportation system and things, such that order a pair of shoes and an hour later they can be deliver delivered to your doorstep. And other factors, you know, cheaper, not as good quality, etc. But it all started out recently with replacing these shoes that were contributing to my discomfort on my feet, as well as another pair that nearly killed me because the tread had worn so low that had I not balanced myself, I would have fallen back on my head on a big chunk of granite. So as I was searching to replace those two pairs of shoes, I go to a site that features a category of items, one sale per day kind of thing, and you watch it for a while and sometimes you get some really good deals, in my view. One such day I did. But it wasn't the exact model of shoe that I was hoping to replace in terms of the hiking sandals, so I was kind of on the precipice of just buying them full price and being done with it so that I could get to use of them before winter sets in. They're really great for coming out here in the woods with Redus walks. I generally feel as though I'm living in a in a wilderness camp every day. So I tend to buy clothing and shoes that are much more outdoor activity specific. So here we are, I get to the first order of shoes. A couple days later I come return to the sale site and see that the hiking sandal that I really benefit from is available for sale, along with another pair of winter waterproof shoes. Always a good thing to have multiple here in the southeast corner of New York State in the woods. And so now I have Four brand new pairs of shoes and it harkens to the the childhood of my mother and myself, the wonderment of now having four pairs of shoes delivered at once, the appreciation of having the cash on hand to do so. I didn't have that for a while. And of course now I have this mindset of not wanting to overconsume because after all, I'm one person. I can only wear one pair pair of shoes at a time. I mean, what do I need four pairs for? I probably have six pairs of hiking boots as well. No dress pumps or stilettos though, so I suppose there's that part of my shoe closet that needs attention, but that's all right. I don't see practical usage for wearing the shoes in the wilderness actually, so might in the future, but you know, now's not the time. And it got me thinking about in the time of my mom's lifetime, she would receive a catalogue in the mail, and I remember them being sort of sketches of shoes. There were never photographs and was black and white. So by the time that mom perused the catalogue to find something that she thought which she would like to wear, she then had to mail the order back in with her check. And then processing times at the shoe store in New York that received the order and such. And you're talking about like placing an order for shoes that might be a month or so from being on your feet. Confirmation with the Corvette. And that during that time you can't just stop your life waiting for those shoes to arrive. I mean For goodness sakes, let's hope you have another pair that you're anticipating to replace so that they're not completely out of function for you. And the level of patience that takes because now you recognize how important it is to have other things to do in your life when these other little processes are underway that you can't change or terms of delivery. And I think with the immediacy of the internet, while it's really great to be able to get a pair of shoes in under an hour aspect of it is is that it changes the way that your mindset works on a day-to-day basis. ⁓ double confirmation with a COVID. And when you lose that, you lose the balance of your life. Twelve thirteen. Progression. And when you're dealing with learning how to read energies external to you and recognize those energies that are clearly yours that you created, distinguished from those that aren't. Having patience is what you need to do because sometimes these energies are so low vibrational that they take a long time to manifest in your world. In other words, you have to sit down quietly and let things flow through you at a level that accommodates those energies. But they're there nonetheless. And they work in your subconscious in a manner that things start to go a little wonky, you know, dropping things that you don't normally do and knocking things off a table or stubbing your toe or dropping a dish in the sink or whatever. Only those little things, those are disturbances. They're distractions. They're meant to elicit a response and energy of you to say, What the heck is going on? Hm. And big thoughts. And the best response is non-reaction. And also understand that those energies don't belong to you, so don't leave yourself in a place spiritually for them to lurk in your energy. And that's really all you need to know. If you want to assign that it might be something demonic or something that is otherwise not in your world. 'Cause it's just energy after all. And you're free to do that. I prefer to understand the energies as being good for me and those that aren't. shouldn't be around me. It's not like I'm building walls around me to prevent any and all energies from coming in. No, it's just simply an understanding. If this doesn't feel right, it's not for me. So goes back to this process that you have in life of things. You have to exert patience for them to arrive into your life. I think people have a skewed view of manifesting prayer, wishing, wanting, visualizing, however you wish to call it, because they anticipate that I can make this happen for me in real time just quickly as I am able to create it. Well, in some cases yes. Most cases there are other factors at play that have to have their time in the process. So go ahead and fill your life with doing the stuff that you enjoy doing so that you're not obsessing on it. You think about it. Yeah, you do have to put some energy towards it to make it real. You can't just abandon it and think, ⁓ not gonna happen. No, you have to accept the fact that it is already here, just in the form that you don't want. That's all right, it's just energetic. You can mold that to what you do, but knowing that The energies around you that don't belong should not be lurking and perpetuating confusion or distracting vibes. You're in control of you. And those times when you're not in control is that you have to be aware that that's what happened and get back to your balance. And you do that by doing the stuff that you enjoy doing. We know that our brains are much more aware when we're doing stuff that gives us joy and happiness, even if it's stuff that we get paid to do for employment. Repeat the trope. That Mark Rober inspired. Fill your brain with fun stuff. Whatever it is, do it. Recognize that you've got enormous power within you to do it the best way possible. And that's a beautiful thing. If you're in control, you should see that you're in control. That's a good thing. I see you're in control. It's not easy, is it? So thanks for keeping it under control, listening to all of this and sharing your energy. I appreciate you, youth.
