Transcript
- 0:04Speaker 1: Welcome back to Artists on Artists on, Artists on Artists.
- 0:08Speaker 1: You know what indie filmmaking is all about, but do
- 0:10Speaker 1: you know what it feels like to watch the first
- 0:13Speaker 1: cut of your short film? Today we're going to figure
- 0:16Speaker 1: out exactly how that feels.
- 0:18Speaker 2: We did a very special thing for all of our
- 0:22Speaker 2: listeners and viewers here on Artists on Artists and Artists
- 0:24Speaker 2: and Artists. We got four indie filmmakers who made a
- 0:27Speaker 2: short film together. We showed them the first cut of
- 0:31Speaker 2: the short film that they spent a lot of time
- 0:33Speaker 2: and money on, and we turned the mics on to
- 0:37Speaker 2: see exactly what they thought and what's going to happen
- 0:41Speaker 2: after this now that they've seen a V one of
- 0:44Speaker 2: their movie.
- 0:46Speaker 3: Every film has to start somewhere, and every filmmaker has
- 0:50Speaker 3: to start somewhere, and often that starting.
- 0:53Speaker 4: Point is a V one cut of a short film.
- 0:58Speaker 5: So let's buckle up, take a deep breath, and see
- 1:02Speaker 5: where we're at in the process.
- 1:03Speaker 6: Let's listen in h.
- 1:14Speaker 1: So, yeah, I love it. Yeah, I think yeah, yeah, totally,
- 1:27Speaker 1: uh huh, I mean right, I.
- 1:29Speaker 3: Think it's I think it's doing what we want to do.
- 1:34Speaker 7: Big, shut out, big, shut up, big shout out to
- 1:37Speaker 7: the other.
- 1:37Speaker 2: I mean putting a big shout out to the other
- 1:39Speaker 2: for putting all together and think that's that's great to
- 1:42Speaker 2: see it all together.
- 1:43Speaker 7: You know.
- 1:45Speaker 5: Obviously, like I'm have some notes and I know we
- 1:49Speaker 5: should like all go into order, and.
- 1:54Speaker 3: Yeah, I mean, I'm super and I'm I'm I'm super excited.
- 1:58Speaker 3: Obviously this is like really involved. But I think we're
- 2:00Speaker 3: in an amazing spot right now.
- 2:02Speaker 4: I mean, just like.
- 2:04Speaker 1: I don't want to.
- 2:05Speaker 4: Be like to ahead of ourselves.
- 2:07Speaker 3: And I know we set we set a we set
- 2:11Speaker 3: an October deadline, and I know there's some doubts on
- 2:17Speaker 3: whether or not we'll reach that, but I'm feeling really good.
- 2:21Speaker 3: I don't know if you guys are feeling good, but
- 2:22Speaker 3: I'm feeling.
- 2:23Speaker 1: And I'm like, I don't have a lot of notes
- 2:27Speaker 1: or like I think this should be really quick.
- 2:29Speaker 5: Actually, like and just feeling like our October deadline was
- 2:32Speaker 5: also really foolish. It's a month and a half after
- 2:36Speaker 5: the Sundance deadline, Like why did we do that?
- 2:38Speaker 6: We're gonna have to wait here?
- 2:40Speaker 1: Yeah, we have time, so we have time.
- 2:43Speaker 7: Actually, I mean we're just trying to get well.
- 2:44Speaker 2: Like I know that some people have a goal for
- 2:47Speaker 2: for Sundance. My main goal is Jazzy Fest. But uh,
- 2:52Speaker 2: that's like, yeah, I mean we can talk about that.
- 2:55Speaker 2: I don't think talking about festivals is the best use
- 2:58Speaker 2: of our time currently after watching V one.
- 3:00Speaker 5: Sorry, that's like, I'm a producer, So I'm a producer
- 3:04Speaker 5: on the project, right, so as the producer, I am
- 3:07Speaker 5: like already thinking about distribution and like where this goes
- 3:12Speaker 5: and that's what and you guys let me have a
- 3:14Speaker 5: space in the editing day as the producer. So I'm sorry,
- 3:18Speaker 5: but that's a part of the discussion. Now this was
- 3:24Speaker 5: it in the writing and now it.
- 3:25Speaker 1: Is feel like it was. I definitely thought it was
- 3:29Speaker 1: in the writing.
- 3:30Speaker 6: So so the what I'm also the what say it?
- 3:33Speaker 2: Well, you're also the one that told this podcast they
- 3:34Speaker 2: could give us microphones and they're telling us to introduce
- 3:36Speaker 2: ourselves for the project.
- 3:37Speaker 6: Because I thought it would be great for PR.
- 3:39Speaker 5: I thought it would be great for PR, like how cool, like.
- 3:42Speaker 6: And it's a first look deal.
- 3:43Speaker 5: This podcast has like so many filmmakers on, like they
- 3:46Speaker 5: have really important filmmakers.
- 3:48Speaker 1: They just just like us.
- 3:49Speaker 7: Like yeah, so well they just has to introduce ourselves.
- 3:53Speaker 7: So if we just want to go around like, let's
- 3:55Speaker 7: do it, Let's do it.
- 3:56Speaker 4: Sure, amazing. Hi.
- 3:58Speaker 3: I'm Daisy Ray McFee. I am the star of this
- 4:04Speaker 3: little our little baby that we've been working on. I
- 4:09Speaker 3: went to uh Laxa and then I went to RADA,
- 4:17Speaker 3: and I studied in the UK for a little bit
- 4:19Speaker 3: in London Town, and then I met these beautiful people
- 4:26Speaker 3: in a night out at Zebulon and so a lot
- 4:33Speaker 3: of things came together to make this project, and a
- 4:36Speaker 3: lot of people and a lot of heartbreak, a lot
- 4:38Speaker 3: of blood and sweat and tears went into it. And
- 4:42Speaker 3: so we're so excited to look at this V one
- 4:44Speaker 3: and I'm really excited to be on this journey with
- 4:47Speaker 3: you guys.
- 4:48Speaker 1: M hm, totally, yeah, totally. Hey guys, what's up. I'm
- 4:53Speaker 1: Daniel fort Myers and I am one of the main actors.
- 4:58Speaker 1: I don't have a lot of lines. I'm one of
- 5:01Speaker 1: the actors. And because I we kind of made a
- 5:04Speaker 1: deal that I could edit it if I got to
- 5:06Speaker 1: act in it. So I'm also the editor of the project.
- 5:10Speaker 1: I'm working with another guy.
- 5:11Speaker 6: Who do you want to say that you did it
- 5:12Speaker 6: on iMovie?
- 5:13Speaker 1: I don't want to say that, but I think.
- 5:16Speaker 5: We should tell them that's where we are in the process,
- 5:18Speaker 5: that we did it on iMovie.
- 5:19Speaker 1: Well that's not true actually, so like what actually is true?
- 5:23Speaker 6: You know, you edited it on iMovie.
- 5:24Speaker 1: I tried to learn it on premiere and I just
- 5:28Speaker 1: couldn't get through a lot of those tutorials because they
- 5:30Speaker 1: were taking forever in the project kept on crash and
- 5:31Speaker 1: you tried cap cut, So I tried cap cut, and
- 5:34Speaker 1: so we finally landed on iMovie. And I think it's
- 5:37Speaker 1: pretty good. And you know, I've been getting a lot
- 5:40Speaker 1: of like notes and feedback because the thing is, we decided,
- 5:43Speaker 1: like pretty early on, was this would be a communal edit,
- 5:47Speaker 1: so I can just the guy with the mouse. We
- 5:50Speaker 1: were all in the room the whole time, yeah, trying
- 5:53Speaker 1: to watch it and edit it and giving notes. And
- 5:55Speaker 1: some people were in the room at certain times, and
- 5:57Speaker 1: some people would leave, and some notes would you know,
- 6:00Speaker 1: contradict and stuff. So but it's you know, it's really
- 6:03Speaker 1: it's really interesting and I think it's really great.
- 6:06Speaker 3: Well, we also wanted it to be fair, I would say,
- 6:08Speaker 3: and so we divided up parts of the movie so
- 6:12Speaker 3: certain actors could only look at certain parts of the
- 6:17Speaker 3: movie and so we didn't want like one person's fingerprints
- 6:20Speaker 3: to be on like like we wanted to divide it
- 6:24Speaker 3: up sort of like in a newquitable share.
- 6:26Speaker 1: And you barely wanted my fingerprints on it too, So
- 6:29Speaker 1: that was.
- 6:30Speaker 7: You don't have to say that.
- 6:31Speaker 2: I mean, we're not saying we got your fingerprints, like
- 6:33Speaker 2: you there's those this thing that's barely a fingerprint.
- 6:35Speaker 7: It's you know what I mean, Like it's barely a fingerprint.
- 6:37Speaker 2: No, a fingerprint means that you're illegal, like you did
- 6:40Speaker 2: something illegal, Like a fingerprint is enough to arrest, so
- 6:42Speaker 2: barely mouth.
- 6:44Speaker 7: Yeah, like like it's you're like super involved. What's some guys.
- 6:47Speaker 2: My name is Gus Dunt and I did sound and
- 6:51Speaker 2: I did lighting, and I did gaffing and I did
- 6:54Speaker 2: I did was first a d and I was also
- 6:58Speaker 2: crafty and and I also did greens and yeah, so
- 7:04Speaker 2: I was kind of like I did a lot of
- 7:05Speaker 2: work for this and we're really really hard. I'm also
- 7:08Speaker 2: doing the mix on it, and I'm also going to
- 7:09Speaker 2: be doing the coloring once it's done.
- 7:14Speaker 7: Great. Yeah, great to see you guys too. Who's next?
- 7:16Speaker 1: No, it's great, no, no, no, no.
- 7:20Speaker 7: If you were done the crowd goes silent.
- 7:22Speaker 2: I mean, I could talk about all the other things
- 7:23Speaker 2: that am not officially on on the on the role
- 7:25Speaker 2: for it, because there's a lot of stuff that.
- 7:27Speaker 6: I did that's hilarious. That's hilarious, that's hilarious.
- 7:30Speaker 2: Like I was, I was obviously, you know I was.
- 7:31Speaker 2: I was Daisy's makeup artists when she was crying that
- 7:33Speaker 2: day on set. We can talk about that.
- 7:35Speaker 1: Okay, that's great.
- 7:37Speaker 7: Okay.
- 7:37Speaker 1: I think we're just trying to get through the interest.
- 7:39Speaker 1: I think we're just trying to get through the interest.
- 7:40Speaker 2: No, I mean we can talk about how I'm c
- 7:42Speaker 2: g I on Daniel's bathing suit scene because his balls
- 7:44Speaker 2: was so fucking big in that speedo.
- 7:45Speaker 7: I don't know what.
- 7:46Speaker 6: You can't ball shame here. You cannot ball shame.
- 7:49Speaker 7: I can't ball shame.
- 7:50Speaker 1: And actually a lot of girls like that, so we
- 7:53Speaker 1: had to change it because it was so unbelievable. Let's
- 7:58Speaker 1: just get interesting.
- 8:01Speaker 3: Shout out the fact that you were able to see
- 8:03Speaker 3: GI something on iMovie is really impressive.
- 8:05Speaker 7: Thank you, And no one's talking about that.
- 8:08Speaker 2: You know what if I if you guys have this
- 8:10Speaker 2: energy with me, I'll go sit in the electric truck
- 8:12Speaker 2: like I'll you know that I have an electric truck.
- 8:14Speaker 1: All good vibes, Like it's all positive, it's all good.
- 8:16Speaker 1: This is like the process, guys, Like edit is not anything.
- 8:19Speaker 1: It's like the first edit. So there's like room to
- 8:21Speaker 1: grow from it. So like like let's get through these
- 8:24Speaker 1: interests and we can like dive in and like and
- 8:25Speaker 1: I'm just like my goal is to like get art there.
- 8:29Speaker 1: You get the art there, you know.
- 8:30Speaker 5: Okay, Yeah, Hi, my name is Gianna. I am the
- 8:37Speaker 5: producer on the film. Executive producer is the one that
- 8:39Speaker 5: had the idea. I know you're wondering, like, who's the
- 8:41Speaker 5: writer here. There is no writer because we use the
- 8:43Speaker 5: original text of Taming of the Shrew.
- 8:47Speaker 1: So yeah, so it was like all of us wrote
- 8:50Speaker 1: re kind of but we just use Taming of the Shrew.
- 8:52Speaker 1: So it's the like we kind of try to condense
- 8:54Speaker 1: Taming of the Shrew as much as we could, yeah.
- 8:57Speaker 6: Telling it.
- 8:58Speaker 5: We're using the text and we're telling a different story,
- 9:00Speaker 5: but we're using the tags. There is no writer on
- 9:02Speaker 5: this project, just a lot of minds and a lot
- 9:04Speaker 5: of actors that are putting on this.
- 9:06Speaker 1: It's genius. It's like a really genius actually I think
- 9:09Speaker 1: we're all really excited about it.
- 9:11Speaker 7: It's really really good.
- 9:12Speaker 6: Is Gianna. I've been in the short film space for
- 9:15Speaker 6: a while.
- 9:17Speaker 5: I I sorry, I'm just like I think I thought
- 9:23Speaker 5: this podcast would be great, and I think I've just
- 9:26Speaker 5: never really seen like a cut after a movie I've
- 9:28Speaker 5: worked on, especially movie that I used my parents' inheritance on.
- 9:33Speaker 2: So well, this is the first Yeah, this is the
- 9:36Speaker 2: first cut of a movie you've ever made, because you've
- 9:38Speaker 2: never made movies before.
- 9:39Speaker 6: So yeah, so this is okay. So I said I
- 9:41Speaker 6: was in the short film space as an actor.
- 9:43Speaker 5: I've never made a movie before, and I use a
- 9:47Speaker 5: lot of.
- 9:48Speaker 6: My aunt's money. My aunt gave me money and we.
- 9:52Speaker 1: Made I think we're kind of like, yeah, we all
- 9:55Speaker 1: pitched in, Like.
- 9:57Speaker 6: We had a movie night. Yeah, we had a movie
- 9:59Speaker 6: night and we watched some of us.
- 10:01Speaker 3: Pitched in our talents and yeah, we watched She's the Man.
- 10:05Speaker 7: And some of us pitch our equipment.
- 10:10Speaker 5: People don't realize that like She's the Man is based
- 10:13Speaker 5: off of Twelfth Night, and we had a movie night.
- 10:16Speaker 5: We were celebrating Amanda Bynes's work because we think she's
- 10:19Speaker 5: being slammed in the media.
- 10:21Speaker 6: It's so dope watching.
- 10:24Speaker 2: I can't believe that is one thing we all have
- 10:26Speaker 2: in common. I can't believe the campaign that's happening against
- 10:29Speaker 2: Amanda Bynes.
- 10:30Speaker 1: It kind of bonded us. It bonded us at Zebulon
- 10:33Speaker 1: because like, well, the thing is like Daisy and I
- 10:35Speaker 1: are in acting class together. So we were kind of
- 10:38Speaker 1: talking and then we kind of just started talking to
- 10:40Speaker 1: you guys about it, and Amanda Biden came up and
- 10:42Speaker 1: there was like this moment where we all were like,
- 10:44Speaker 1: how do we feel about her? Are we on the
- 10:46Speaker 1: same page? And immediately like the fact that we were
- 10:48Speaker 1: all on the same page, and we were like doing
- 10:49Speaker 1: like bits like right, like I don't know if the
- 10:52Speaker 1: audience does what a bit is, but like we were
- 10:54Speaker 1: doing these.
- 10:54Speaker 7: Things and everybody knows me.
- 10:56Speaker 2: Everybody knows me, and Zebulan is the guy that kind
- 10:58Speaker 2: of joins in your bits out of nowhere. I come across,
- 11:00Speaker 2: I come from across the bar, and I come joined in,
- 11:03Speaker 2: and I'm kind of a charming, funny guy.
- 11:04Speaker 6: It just felt like so.
- 11:06Speaker 5: Like magical when Gus came in there, because then Gus
- 11:09Speaker 5: gave us a ride home from Semon in his in
- 11:11Speaker 5: his grip truck.
- 11:12Speaker 7: Yeah, we're fully shit.
- 11:14Speaker 2: Like I strapped you guys in with ratchet straps on
- 11:16Speaker 2: the wall, and I think.
- 11:17Speaker 3: Yeah it So it's kind of the magic of la
- 11:20Speaker 3: for me is like, yeah, we get to be in
- 11:23Speaker 3: this environment where there are like so many creatives around
- 11:26Speaker 3: us everywhere we look, and it's just it's like, exactly,
- 11:32Speaker 3: we're already and I know we can talk about the
- 11:34Speaker 3: specifics of what we just watched, which, by the way,
- 11:37Speaker 3: I think is amazing, but like we're already on a
- 11:40Speaker 3: V one cut of a short film that we made
- 11:44Speaker 3: together that is twelve thousand steps ahead every other person.
- 11:50Speaker 5: I'm sorry that, I'm sorry, I have to stop you. Daisy,
- 11:53Speaker 5: what is that ringing in the background of the entire movie?
- 11:57Speaker 6: What is that?
- 11:58Speaker 4: Well? I think we can get ridd What is that so?
- 12:02Speaker 1: Well? That was actually like a choice that we talked about,
- 12:05Speaker 1: like we needed like some like background walla or like
- 12:09Speaker 1: some yeah ground sounds.
- 12:10Speaker 2: And also like, first of all, hold on a minute, Jana,
- 12:13Speaker 2: you're giving notes to Daisy when this is this is
- 12:15Speaker 2: the thing you always do. You give notes to Daisy
- 12:18Speaker 2: in their notes for me, I am sound, I am
- 12:21Speaker 2: I am in charge of design.
- 12:23Speaker 6: See if she also heard the ringing.
- 12:25Speaker 2: But you know that it was my fault, and so
- 12:27Speaker 2: if you want to talk about it, it was an artistic choice.
- 12:29Speaker 2: Ringing is a sign of tonightis, and I thought our
- 12:31Speaker 2: Petruchio has tonightis. That's what I was, That's what I
- 12:34Speaker 2: was emphasizing. I think tonight's is a scourge. I've gone
- 12:38Speaker 2: to Coachella every year since I was eight, and I
- 12:40Speaker 2: have tonightis, and so it's actually very intensitive for you
- 12:43Speaker 2: to say something about that. I first felt tonightas when
- 12:47Speaker 2: I saw Vampire Weekend in two thousand and eight there,
- 12:49Speaker 2: and it's never gone away. Okay, So how about we
- 12:53Speaker 2: have a little bit more respect, and if you have
- 12:54Speaker 2: a note for me, you can give it directly to
- 12:55Speaker 2: meet Gianna.
- 12:56Speaker 1: How's that sound Okay, then get the ringing out of this,
- 12:59Speaker 1: Like I don't think that's so. Think notes should go
- 13:01Speaker 1: to all of us. That's what we agreed, Like, yeah, okay,
- 13:03Speaker 1: one for all, all for one, Like there's no can't
- 13:05Speaker 1: be we can't be personal here. It's like about yeah,
- 13:09Speaker 1: it's like about the process. We're like all doing it together.
- 13:12Speaker 7: Okay.
- 13:12Speaker 3: As someone who really like this film is so critical
- 13:16Speaker 3: to the real that I'm working on for next year,
- 13:21Speaker 3: and so I think that, like I really want to
- 13:24Speaker 3: be in the loop for every decision, even if it's
- 13:27Speaker 3: that nitty gritty, right, Like I want.
- 13:29Speaker 4: To be in it.
- 13:30Speaker 2: So, Daisy, Daisy, I do know that this reel is critical.
- 13:34Speaker 2: The manager that's been hit pocketing you called me and
- 13:36Speaker 2: said that this reel is critical.
- 13:38Speaker 7: Okay for you to.
- 13:39Speaker 6: Get it's crazy he won't just sign you already. I
- 13:41Speaker 6: think it's crazy.
- 13:42Speaker 1: It's actually kind of crazy crazy.
- 13:44Speaker 3: It's we're basically signed, like we're so it's like he
- 13:49Speaker 3: sends me on auditions every once in a while, and
- 13:52Speaker 3: like I'll send him, you know, like sort of ideas
- 13:55Speaker 3: that I've been thinking about and then we just like
- 13:56Speaker 3: haven't put it on paper. But when this comes out
- 14:01Speaker 3: and this film, which looks incredible, is on my reel,
- 14:06Speaker 3: then I think it's going to help us solidify that
- 14:08Speaker 3: relationship starting in twenty twenty five.
- 14:12Speaker 2: Well congrats, But but I do want to say, if
- 14:15Speaker 2: we're giving notes that aren't personal, I do have a
- 14:17Speaker 2: note for you, Daniel, if that's okay.
- 14:20Speaker 1: Yeah, no, yeah, go ahead, all the scenady, I'm like,
- 14:23Speaker 1: let me out since you did edit all of the
- 14:26Speaker 1: scenes between you and Daisy. You use shots of yourself
- 14:32Speaker 1: for all the coverage, so she's.
- 14:33Speaker 5: Not any time every time she's talking, we're watching you listening.
- 14:37Speaker 1: Uh huh.
- 14:38Speaker 7: So she's an off screen character basically for the whole movie.
- 14:41Speaker 1: Not distracting.
- 14:42Speaker 6: It's really distracting with ringing going on.
- 14:45Speaker 5: She's okay, and it looks like you're listening to the ringing,
- 14:48Speaker 5: not her speak.
- 14:49Speaker 2: She's playing Catherine, right, So this is like a really
- 14:51Speaker 2: huge character. And it's kind of the maining Bonca yeah
- 14:55Speaker 2: and Beyonca and yeah, and we have a man can
- 14:57Speaker 2: playing Petruchio.
- 14:58Speaker 7: It's very tongue in cheek. It takes place to set
- 15:00Speaker 7: a pool party. It's Timmy the Shoe of a pool party,
- 15:04Speaker 7: of the pool.
- 15:05Speaker 3: Yeah, it's called the Pool Well, Taming of the Pool
- 15:09Speaker 3: party or Taming of the Pool.
- 15:11Speaker 4: And I'm more so.
- 15:15Speaker 7: My favorite pitch true. I like true, and I really
- 15:18Speaker 7: think that we should use that.
- 15:19Speaker 6: So I love Pool of the Shop.
- 15:21Speaker 1: That's a note I can totally take. And I hear you, guys,
- 15:24Speaker 1: I didn't really see it, but like I'll totally like.
- 15:26Speaker 3: I don't think that the exposure that my reel is
- 15:28Speaker 3: going to get us would like it would be critical
- 15:31Speaker 3: if I were in Yeah, well.
- 15:33Speaker 1: That's the thing, Like I really try to show Daisy more.
- 15:36Speaker 1: But like the actual footage that we have of Daisy,
- 15:40Speaker 1: like just it didn't turn out on the day, so
- 15:42Speaker 1: we might have to just reshoot some of that. What
- 15:44Speaker 1: do you mean it.
- 15:44Speaker 7: Didn't turn out?
- 15:45Speaker 6: What do you mean it didn't turn out?
- 15:47Speaker 1: Well, you know that mine was like perfectly lit and
- 15:50Speaker 1: it was like very clear focus, and I think Gus
- 15:53Speaker 1: and Gihanny, you guys were fighting about who would do
- 15:56Speaker 1: follow focus And so Daisy's footage comes in and out
- 16:00Speaker 1: of focus so many times. And there's also like clearly
- 16:04Speaker 1: a lamp, like a big light in the back of
- 16:07Speaker 1: our footage. So I didn't really know what to do
- 16:10Speaker 1: well that.
- 16:11Speaker 6: Lamp to represent loneliness in the back.
- 16:13Speaker 7: Yeah, I know.
- 16:14Speaker 2: And he told me that when we were shooting, you
- 16:16Speaker 2: brought a lamp in in the middle of the shot.
- 16:20Speaker 6: You know what, you don't even hear me. You see
- 16:21Speaker 6: my mouth going, this represents loneliness, and you can't even
- 16:24Speaker 6: hear me say it. You can't see, you can't.
- 16:29Speaker 7: You can't see.
- 16:30Speaker 2: Threw off the fucking white balance the second you brought
- 16:33Speaker 2: that lamp in.
- 16:33Speaker 7: And that's what happened.
- 16:34Speaker 1: I wanted to say, like the white balance, I'm confused.
- 16:38Speaker 1: I actually this is actually great becaus like because we're here,
- 16:41Speaker 1: I have all the footage on this hard drive. We
- 16:42Speaker 1: can actually just kind of watch some of these takes
- 16:44Speaker 1: and like you guys can see, it'll actually probably be
- 16:46Speaker 1: really interesting for the podcast to like see what a
- 16:49Speaker 1: takes looks like behind the scenes.
- 16:51Speaker 2: And I also want to say before we watch this,
- 16:53Speaker 2: butt it because I love to our DP Neo couldn't
- 16:55Speaker 2: be here because he booked the Dune TV show and
- 16:57Speaker 2: I'm congrats to him on being the second second.
- 16:59Speaker 7: That's aw, he's gonna have so much fun.
- 17:01Speaker 2: I heard he's been escorting people to and from set
- 17:03Speaker 2: as they're dressed like forem and it rocks.
- 17:05Speaker 4: I think.
- 17:06Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 17:06Speaker 5: But also before we play this clip, and want Daniel
- 17:08Speaker 5: and Daisy like we should tell the audience like this
- 17:11Speaker 5: is based off of Act one, scene three, So if
- 17:14Speaker 5: you guys want to pull that clip up Act one,
- 17:17Speaker 5: scene three.
- 17:18Speaker 3: Act it's actually an interesting thing about Taming of the
- 17:23Speaker 3: Shrew that sorry to butt in with some context. There
- 17:25Speaker 3: actually is no Act one, scene three of Taming of
- 17:28Speaker 3: the shrew. So there's act seen one and scene two,
- 17:32Speaker 3: but that too we have named act to scene one.
- 17:39Speaker 1: Act one one, scene three.
- 17:42Speaker 3: Because we think that it actually was a continuation of
- 17:45Speaker 3: the first act and Shakespeare like and he must have
- 17:49Speaker 3: had a reason for ordering that in the way that
- 17:51Speaker 3: he did. But we actually think that that it makes
- 17:54Speaker 3: more sense folded into the first act.
- 17:57Speaker 4: So that's why we.
- 17:58Speaker 1: Are so smart. It's yeah, and this is why we like.
- 18:00Speaker 1: I love acting with you in class.
- 18:02Speaker 4: I have such a nerd about this stuff, and so
- 18:04Speaker 4: it's been yeah to work with you guys.
- 18:07Speaker 7: All right, well let's watch let's can we watch the
- 18:11Speaker 7: clip please.
- 18:12Speaker 2: Daniel you're obviously Bianca, and Daisy you're obviously Catherine.
- 18:16Speaker 7: So let's go ahead and watch the did.
- 18:18Speaker 1: Some okay, Yeah, let's let me just call sorry, let
- 18:21Speaker 1: me pull it up and let me press space bar
- 18:23Speaker 1: on the hard drive files so you can see it and.
- 18:25Speaker 2: I'll describe what's going on. So yeah, go ahead. Catherine
- 18:29Speaker 2: enters and Bianca has her hands tied.
- 18:32Speaker 1: Good sister, wrong me, not nor wrong yourself to make
- 18:36Speaker 1: a bond made and slave of me that I disdain,
- 18:39Speaker 1: But for these other goods, unbind my hands. I'll put
- 18:42Speaker 1: them off myself. Yay, all the raiment to my petticoat,
- 18:47Speaker 1: or what you will command me, will I do so?
- 18:52Speaker 8: Well?
- 18:52Speaker 1: I know my duty to my elders.
- 18:57Speaker 4: Of all thy suitors. Here I charge thee.
- 19:02Speaker 3: Tell whom thou lovest best see thou disassemble.
- 19:08Speaker 1: Not believe me, sister, of all of all the men alive,
- 19:15Speaker 1: I never yet beheld that special face which I could
- 19:19Speaker 1: fancy more than any other.
- 19:23Speaker 6: Minion.
- 19:24Speaker 3: Thou liest ist, not hortensio banana.
- 19:31Speaker 1: Okay, so that was the clip. So you guys called
- 19:35Speaker 1: cut right after that. I just can't early.
- 19:38Speaker 2: So my guess my biggest note, and you guys will
- 19:40Speaker 2: never answer me. Why do we pick this scene?
- 19:43Speaker 4: Uh?
- 19:43Speaker 7: To kind of do most of it just feels so
- 19:46Speaker 7: strange to me.
- 19:48Speaker 1: Yeah, well, yeah.
- 19:50Speaker 4: It was interesting. I mean this was like part of
- 19:53Speaker 4: you know, when you have no writers.
- 19:55Speaker 3: You're going off of like yeah, like every actor's instinct.
- 19:59Speaker 3: And I picked this scene for your No, well, I
- 20:06Speaker 3: thought it was important to the story.
- 20:08Speaker 6: Yeah it was.
- 20:09Speaker 5: So it was, and I think, like, I think here's
- 20:11Speaker 5: the thing people know that like we had that night
- 20:13Speaker 5: we watched that Amanda Bines movie and we were inspiredment right,
- 20:16Speaker 5: But then I also were like, we want to make something,
- 20:17Speaker 5: who wants to write it? Nose Goes and all literally
- 20:20Speaker 5: put our hand on our nose at the exact same time.
- 20:23Speaker 7: We slowed it down. It was exactly the same.
- 20:26Speaker 3: It was.
- 20:28Speaker 6: The history of my Life scene and Nosegoes be equal.
- 20:32Speaker 4: Yeah, it's been this amazing device thing.
- 20:34Speaker 3: And I picked this scene specifically because it had a
- 20:36Speaker 3: lot of sarcastic lines in it.
- 20:38Speaker 1: Yeah, it was. You did it so well too. I
- 20:40Speaker 1: just like, I like when we were shooting, like even
- 20:43Speaker 1: though I was off camera and it was your footage there, like,
- 20:45Speaker 1: I just like felt this crazy connection, like you just
- 20:48Speaker 1: were dialed in.
- 20:49Speaker 2: You were like, yeah, dialed in, Daniel, speaking of dialed
- 20:52Speaker 2: don't you talk about my focus pulling.
- 20:54Speaker 7: If you're about to bring up my book, I'm gonna
- 20:56Speaker 7: be so mad.
- 20:57Speaker 5: I'm talking about a different dialed in. I'm talking about
- 20:58Speaker 5: the fucking ringing.
- 21:00Speaker 1: The fucking ring Well, I could hear the as you
- 21:02Speaker 1: guys can see. I'm I'm really trying my best here
- 21:05Speaker 1: to edit around. I don't know if you guys heard
- 21:07Speaker 1: that randomly. What was the banana there? What was a
- 21:10Speaker 1: it's kund of like a minion saying banana.
- 21:13Speaker 2: She says minion, and I thought we were updating it and
- 21:16Speaker 2: making it relevant, so I said, she says the word minion,
- 21:19Speaker 2: so I added banana, and I was trying to tell you.
- 21:22Speaker 1: I was trying to tell you we will edit that
- 21:24Speaker 1: in later.
- 21:25Speaker 6: You don't need to do it on the movie. That's
- 21:27Speaker 6: the only part of the movie that's not bumping for me.
- 21:29Speaker 6: It's the only part of the movie that's not bumming
- 21:31Speaker 6: for me.
- 21:31Speaker 2: Can I be honest, Daniel, I know you guys were
- 21:33Speaker 2: mad at me every time I did that.
- 21:35Speaker 7: That was the only time I had fun on this set.
- 21:40Speaker 7: That was the only time I had fun.
- 21:43Speaker 1: This is such a lie. This is such a lie. No, actually,
- 21:46Speaker 1: I actually have to stand up for this. I'm going
- 21:48Speaker 1: to show you a clip and the first couple of
- 21:51Speaker 1: sentences are gonna be like the like we kind of
- 21:53Speaker 1: like some What happened was somebody accidentally pressed record too early,
- 21:58Speaker 1: and so when we went to record, they accidently turned
- 22:00Speaker 1: it off, and so when we went to end it,
- 22:02Speaker 1: they accidentally turned it on again. Yeah, so instead of
- 22:06Speaker 1: so but this is like you can hear like we
- 22:08Speaker 1: filmed for five minutes that just read until we noticed
- 22:11Speaker 1: that we had to go reshoot it back. But you
- 22:13Speaker 1: can hear Gus and Gianna like talking a lot because
- 22:15Speaker 1: like we were kind of done. You guys, we're hearing
- 22:18Speaker 1: us note and Gus, your your vibe was so different
- 22:20Speaker 1: on set and I need, actually I need you to
- 22:22Speaker 1: hear what your vibe was, if you, if you this
- 22:27Speaker 1: is this is actually important to me because I found
- 22:30Speaker 1: it and I was like, wow, Gus has been talking,
- 22:32Speaker 1: so let me just play it so like this is
- 22:34Speaker 1: the last couple of lines and here let me press
- 22:36Speaker 1: space bar to play it off of the hard drive
- 22:38Speaker 1: and space.
- 22:40Speaker 6: Okay, so I think I think maybe we.
- 22:42Speaker 7: Go look, Johanna, look a fruit rolls a tongue. Isn't
- 22:46Speaker 7: that funny?
- 22:46Speaker 5: Okays? I love that, Gus, that's really fun. But I
- 22:51Speaker 5: think we should stay on task here. We have so
- 22:53Speaker 5: much more.
- 22:54Speaker 7: Jianna, you don't have to Last night we were having
- 22:56Speaker 7: so much fun. You don't have to act like this
- 22:57Speaker 7: just because I'm.
- 23:01Speaker 2: Done, I know, but I was like, we're having fun
- 23:03Speaker 2: together like I've never like, you know, I don't know,
- 23:07Speaker 2: like we can have fun and we can make something.
- 23:09Speaker 6: I can't do it. The ringing is in the in
- 23:10Speaker 6: the BTS as well.
- 23:12Speaker 2: This, this is actually a breach of trust. This should
- 23:15Speaker 2: have been burned. I talked to Goby. I talked to Goby,
- 23:18Speaker 2: who is who's dumping our footage? I can't, I said,
- 23:20Speaker 2: dump this hardby.
- 23:25Speaker 6: Our sound guy. And then and then we have a
- 23:27Speaker 6: full guy for dumping the footage.
- 23:29Speaker 7: And I'm pissed. It's because it's but we nobody trusts Goby.
- 23:32Speaker 1: But everybody likes Goby and just good vibes on set,
- 23:36Speaker 1: Like he'll say, like time to dump, who's tall gonna dump?
- 23:39Speaker 2: Now?
- 23:39Speaker 1: It's just really funny.
- 23:40Speaker 7: I fucking hate him.
- 23:41Speaker 2: But that shouldn't even that doesn't even that's negligible. That's like,
- 23:44Speaker 2: that is out of context for what that was.
- 23:46Speaker 6: No, I think you had such a good vibe on set.
- 23:48Speaker 5: That's why I think since we started post like you
- 23:51Speaker 5: have become like this like other type of person, gus
- 23:54Speaker 5: and like, I don't get it. I think it's maybe
- 23:57Speaker 5: you realize that you played an MP three of a
- 24:00Speaker 5: phone ringing throughout the entire movie to represent tonight Is,
- 24:03Speaker 5: and it actually ruined all the footage.
- 24:05Speaker 2: Can I be honest? I wasn't playing an MP three.
- 24:08Speaker 2: I was playing that sound that everybody heard in middle
- 24:11Speaker 2: school that only little kids could hear past a certain age.
- 24:15Speaker 2: So if you are hearing it, then you have young ears.
- 24:18Speaker 2: And that's what I'm saying.
- 24:19Speaker 6: Okay, so you're calling me a toddler.
- 24:21Speaker 2: Yeah, it's your temperament. You're coming in with a fight
- 24:24Speaker 2: every single time. When you came in this morning, you
- 24:26Speaker 2: gotta in a huge fight with us because we had
- 24:29Speaker 2: every type of bagel. You were mad because you you
- 24:31Speaker 2: wanted a more limited bagel selection.
- 24:33Speaker 6: It's a literal misuse of funds.
- 24:36Speaker 5: We cannot hunt pay anyone, yet we buy every flavor
- 24:41Speaker 5: of bagel.
- 24:42Speaker 1: Well, we just don't know what everybody wants until the
- 24:44Speaker 1: day up.
- 24:44Speaker 6: Okay, and you can take orders, guys, and I really
- 24:47Speaker 6: can take.
- 24:48Speaker 1: I think we're being too hard on this edit. Like
- 24:50Speaker 1: I think it's actually really good. Like when I think
- 24:53Speaker 1: what we should do is just like kind of like
- 24:54Speaker 1: get through it, Like let's get all our notes out there.
- 24:56Speaker 1: Let's not stop and like really dissect the notes. Let's
- 24:59Speaker 1: just like call kind of like list the notes that
- 25:01Speaker 1: we have, right.
- 25:02Speaker 6: I mean, Daisy, you said you loved it. Do you
- 25:04Speaker 6: have any notes at all?
- 25:05Speaker 4: No? I think we should export.
- 25:09Speaker 3: I think we I think we should just export and
- 25:11Speaker 3: send it because, honestly, because this industry is moving so
- 25:14Speaker 3: fast and I think it's we should just like get
- 25:17Speaker 3: it out, Daisy.
- 25:18Speaker 2: Persons going to cut no one's going to beat us
- 25:21Speaker 2: to this. Don't worry, no one's doing this center all. Daisy,
- 25:26Speaker 2: You're not in this. It's all coverage of Daniel.
- 25:30Speaker 7: You don't want to be in this.
- 25:33Speaker 3: I mean, I didn't want to bring this up because
- 25:35Speaker 3: I didn't want people to think that I had an
- 25:37Speaker 3: ulterior motive in this. But I am working on a
- 25:40Speaker 3: voice voice of a reel as well, so I.
- 25:44Speaker 6: Was hoping to use you.
- 25:46Speaker 1: Didn't wait, da you didn't tell me that.
- 25:51Speaker 4: To use some of this in it.
- 25:56Speaker 5: We would have been like, she has an ulterior motive,
- 25:58Speaker 5: She's okay to maga.
- 25:59Speaker 6: V gets a Daisy.
- 26:02Speaker 1: But we told each other everything crazy.
- 26:05Speaker 7: Hold on a minute.
- 26:06Speaker 2: I understand that people feel betrayed and upset, Daisy. Even
- 26:10Speaker 2: if we can see your face in this, you can
- 26:13Speaker 2: still use it as a voice over. Real, don't you
- 26:15Speaker 2: understand you can use that.
- 26:17Speaker 3: My face would be so distracting that it wouldn't like
- 26:20Speaker 3: make sense for a voice over.
- 26:21Speaker 1: You're not gonna be No, You're not sending a video actor.
- 26:24Speaker 3: Gus, you're not an actor, Gus, you that's for reel
- 26:28Speaker 3: doesn't have your face in it.
- 26:30Speaker 7: A voice of reel doesn't have any face. It's an
- 26:32Speaker 7: audio file. Daisy. You don't have to say. You don't
- 26:36Speaker 7: have to just hit footage.
- 26:37Speaker 1: You can only you only just an three everything.
- 26:40Speaker 3: You don't understand us everything video now everything. Just look
- 26:44Speaker 3: at TikTok, look at Instagram, look at what Actually I.
- 26:48Speaker 6: Actually in here.
- 26:49Speaker 5: I'm actually gonna butt in here and say, guys, you
- 26:52Speaker 5: you are not an actor, right, and you're just like
- 26:54Speaker 5: coming in here. You're coming in here, and you want
- 26:57Speaker 5: to tell Daisy what to do. And there were times
- 27:01Speaker 5: where I remember you gave her a literal line reading.
- 27:04Speaker 7: Okay, well let's talk about the line reading this want
- 27:07Speaker 7: to talk about it?
- 27:08Speaker 1: Yeah, I actually I actually have the clip.
- 27:12Speaker 7: Okay, let's do it because okay, okay, I think I
- 27:15Speaker 7: think this was Act four, scene four.
- 27:18Speaker 4: I don't know so our but our Act three scene three.
- 27:23Speaker 7: Oh yeah, so our X three seed three.
- 27:26Speaker 1: All right, let's move into it. I'll just press hold on.
- 27:28Speaker 1: Let me go find that clip. Luckily I've labeled all
- 27:31Speaker 1: these clips really and so this is.
- 27:33Speaker 4: Me playing Trannio in this part and.
- 27:36Speaker 1: This and this clip is called our Act three, Scene
- 27:39Speaker 1: three Daisy coverage. Okay, and I'm going to press spacebar.
- 27:43Speaker 4: Now, sir, this is the house? Please it you that
- 27:49Speaker 4: I call?
- 27:51Speaker 7: Hey, how about you try? Please think you that I call?
- 27:55Speaker 8: What?
- 27:57Speaker 4: Okay? I kind of I just did a lot of
- 27:59Speaker 4: work to get it that way.
- 28:00Speaker 7: But all right, fuck me. Then go ahead, guys.
- 28:03Speaker 4: I'll try it. I'll try it.
- 28:04Speaker 3: I'll try it, sir. This is the house. Please it
- 28:09Speaker 3: you that I call?
- 28:11Speaker 4: It doesn't work?
- 28:13Speaker 7: Moving on?
- 28:14Speaker 4: No, No, we have to set up again. What's unfortunate again?
- 28:18Speaker 6: Stop the clip, Daniel. What's unfortunate is everything?
- 28:22Speaker 5: Everything works the clip clip?
- 28:27Speaker 1: Sorry, there's an error. I got the is not reacting,
- 28:32Speaker 1: My fighter is not reacting. Off my finder, my finger
- 28:36Speaker 1: is dropping. I don't know.
- 28:37Speaker 4: Please it you that I call?
- 28:39Speaker 7: I think it's off.
- 28:40Speaker 1: I'm trying. Okay, it's off. It's it's off. It's off.
- 28:43Speaker 1: It's off.
- 28:45Speaker 6: What I hate about this?
- 28:46Speaker 1: Sorry? Sorry, too many times the house pleasing you that
- 28:53Speaker 1: I sorry, I'm the trunk.
- 28:55Speaker 2: You know this off?
- 28:56Speaker 7: Sorry?
- 28:56Speaker 3: Sorry?
- 28:56Speaker 1: Okay, it's okay, I quit find her. I somehow forced
- 28:59Speaker 1: cl okay, hold on. I'm just I'm like the hard Drive,
- 29:06Speaker 1: it shouldn't come up. That was weird out of the
- 29:11Speaker 1: hard Drive. No, it's good. It should be done. It
- 29:13Speaker 1: should be done.
- 29:14Speaker 5: What I hate about this movie is every good clip
- 29:16Speaker 5: we have, we have Gus screaming locked.
- 29:20Speaker 1: Yeah, he says it right after too, so it's really
- 29:22Speaker 1: hard to edit around. There's no locked, it's nothing long. Yeah,
- 29:26Speaker 1: it's on it. Yeah, it's like you don't say locked,
- 29:29Speaker 1: but it's like somebody will finish the line and just
- 29:31Speaker 1: at the last second of the locked. So a lot
- 29:32Speaker 1: of the clips throughout the short from you here before
- 29:36Speaker 1: I have to cut away, and.
- 29:37Speaker 3: Sometimes it messes up the scanchin right, like the syllables
- 29:42Speaker 3: are now wrong because you've added a lock.
- 29:46Speaker 5: What people don't realize is Daisy is doing scanchon while
- 29:49Speaker 5: also being sarcastic.
- 29:50Speaker 6: So that's like doumble.
- 29:53Speaker 4: It's actually like quite a lot of work because the original.
- 29:56Speaker 1: Was crazy talented, like it was insane actually to watch
- 29:59Speaker 1: for me. Actually, we're so bad for each other, Like
- 30:02Speaker 1: this is crazy. What huh?
- 30:05Speaker 4: What did you say?
- 30:06Speaker 2: No?
- 30:06Speaker 1: Like, because like we just have this vibe. It's just like, oh,
- 30:09Speaker 1: we are bad news for each other.
- 30:11Speaker 4: You know bad news.
- 30:12Speaker 3: Oh I hadn't. I, Oh, I didn't already, Daisy, Okay,
- 30:19Speaker 3: so much.
- 30:21Speaker 6: He has so much footage of you on his phone
- 30:23Speaker 6: on his laptop, and the.
- 30:24Speaker 5: Reason why his laptop is spinning out is because he
- 30:27Speaker 5: plays this footage of you oh.
- 30:29Speaker 6: And over and over again. And it's time you realize.
- 30:32Speaker 1: No, I want you to know. That's what editors do, Gianna. Actually,
- 30:35Speaker 1: I'm going to put my foot down. That's just what
- 30:38Speaker 1: editors do. I have to I don't know, do you
- 30:41Speaker 1: guys say? I keep on saying, well, maybe we can
- 30:43Speaker 1: take turns looking at the footage, and you guys say,
- 30:45Speaker 1: I don't know. I don't want to. I can't figure
- 30:47Speaker 1: that out. So I have to be the one watching
- 30:49Speaker 1: all the footage, pulling all the good parts into iMovie
- 30:52Speaker 1: because I could not figure out how to export into
- 30:54Speaker 1: import into Adobe.
- 30:56Speaker 3: Daniel, we're friends. I want you to be honest with me.
- 31:00Speaker 3: Are you watching footage of my coverage.
- 31:07Speaker 1: Again? Yes, that's what editors do.
- 31:11Speaker 7: I'm going to be one side for this.
- 31:15Speaker 1: It's not a weird I don't know if he doesn't
- 31:17Speaker 1: do that, dude.
- 31:20Speaker 2: You guys, you guys, fundamentally, what do you can you
- 31:23Speaker 2: explain what an editor is if it's not looking at
- 31:25Speaker 2: footage of women.
- 31:26Speaker 6: Organize the slates.
- 31:29Speaker 4: Boyfriend, Daniel, I have a boyfriend.
- 31:31Speaker 3: Like, we have to set some boundaries if we're gonna
- 31:34Speaker 3: make this film together.
- 31:35Speaker 4: Like I have to know that I could trust you
- 31:37Speaker 4: to not watch my.
- 31:38Speaker 1: Footage, Okay, Like I know you have a boyfriend and
- 31:42Speaker 1: like that he's really good, good guy in our acting class,
- 31:45Speaker 1: and he's like dark and drives a motorcycle, dark hair
- 31:48Speaker 1: and all that stuff and like, but like, as an editor,
- 31:51Speaker 1: I have to watch your footage like it's just in
- 31:54Speaker 1: order for this film to be maze.
- 31:56Speaker 6: I can't tell you this enough. That's not what editors do.
- 31:58Speaker 2: I can tell you this. I can tell you this
- 32:01Speaker 2: even more times. This is exactly what editors to do.
- 32:03Speaker 4: I think we should have a production meeting. I think this.
- 32:08Speaker 1: Is that. Okay, don't it is whatever, whatever, it's fine,
- 32:11Speaker 1: I'll stop watching your footage. The hard thing is, like
- 32:14Speaker 1: I had to spend so much time trying to convert
- 32:18Speaker 1: because we shot in film and film and it's.
- 32:23Speaker 6: My aunt gave me so much money to buy authentic.
- 32:25Speaker 2: Film and gave it price.
- 32:30Speaker 1: He does not understand how to dump film and we.
- 32:33Speaker 2: Were using old film, we were using celluloid, and my
- 32:35Speaker 2: fucking truck caught on fire.
- 32:37Speaker 1: Yeah, so so a lot of this is ed, like
- 32:39Speaker 1: maybe we have to think about reshooting. I think we
- 32:42Speaker 1: should just do rapid fire notes. Like let's just like
- 32:45Speaker 1: because I think we get I can get through it.
- 32:48Speaker 1: I can even do the edit right now, and like
- 32:50Speaker 1: we can just figure it out and get to V two.
- 32:55Speaker 3: I'd like to bring into the space before we begin, though,
- 32:57Speaker 3: is let's maybe originate these notes from of what's possible
- 33:01Speaker 3: instead of what's wrong, And.
- 33:04Speaker 1: If you guys could be just a little more positive,
- 33:06Speaker 1: that would actually be very helpful because like I don't
- 33:08Speaker 1: really respond, like a lot of it's being put on me,
- 33:11Speaker 1: but like a lot of it was your suggestions already,
- 33:13Speaker 1: So like let's like a lot of it were you
- 33:15Speaker 1: guys sitting there going no, no, no, no, no, not that.
- 33:17Speaker 1: So like let's just try to make it positive and
- 33:19Speaker 1: then we can get through this.
- 33:20Speaker 2: I'm gonna try, but I'm real and you guys have
- 33:22Speaker 2: always known that, So let's go ahead. But okay, my
- 33:25Speaker 2: first note is the blueperreal is twice as long as
- 33:27Speaker 2: the short.
- 33:28Speaker 1: I think that's so funny, right, it's so.
- 33:32Speaker 7: It's funny, but it's out of context. I mean, it's just.
- 33:34Speaker 6: Put my foot down there. That's one of my darlings
- 33:36Speaker 6: that I will not kill. I will not kill that darkling.
- 33:39Speaker 4: Let's just play.
- 33:40Speaker 1: Let's just play it really quick again. Let's say you
- 33:42Speaker 1: guys can see it. Just say we can see it. Okay,
- 33:44Speaker 1: let me play I what else? And but me?
- 33:47Speaker 3: I deceive, deceive, see I went British.
- 33:53Speaker 1: You are so bad?
- 33:54Speaker 6: But was that put them in the shot? Gus, there's
- 33:57Speaker 6: a fucking boom in the fucking shot.
- 34:00Speaker 7: The shot and stick up your ass. I'm trying my
- 34:03Speaker 7: fucking hardest.
- 34:04Speaker 1: Wait.
- 34:04Speaker 4: I'm trying to wait as well, and hold your own.
- 34:08Speaker 1: Wait, I'm trying. What sorry, I'm waiting. What are we going? Wait?
- 34:12Speaker 7: What plane? Plane? Plane? Hold hold for plane?
- 34:22Speaker 1: But dearly, oh, is this what makes your minfe for Oh?
- 34:26Speaker 1: Defence didn't open to the Daniel go to the gate, defense.
- 34:35Speaker 6: Daniel, go to the fucking gate.
- 34:38Speaker 7: My actors don't curse my fucking actress. She on her.
- 34:41Speaker 1: So that was such a funny bloo, I think it's yes.
- 34:46Speaker 6: That's one of my darlings. I won't cut that. I
- 34:48Speaker 6: won't cut it.
- 34:49Speaker 1: I was gonna put under it.
- 34:52Speaker 2: I don't think it looks good on us, guys. I
- 34:53Speaker 2: think it's a bad look. And you don't need to
- 34:55Speaker 2: put a soundtrack to the Blooper reel.
- 34:57Speaker 5: Okay, next note, Next note, let's move o's get positive.
- 35:00Speaker 1: Next note, thank you?
- 35:02Speaker 4: Okay, what's possible is maybe?
- 35:04Speaker 8: Uh?
- 35:05Speaker 3: The invocation of less black and white footage uh, sort
- 35:11Speaker 3: of placed randomly anytime the character is experiencing a.
- 35:15Speaker 2: Negative emotion, non negotiable. Boon Well is one of my favorites,
- 35:18Speaker 2: and I'll always emulate him.
- 35:20Speaker 5: Okay, next on, next note, Okay, cut the dance.
- 35:26Speaker 3: No no, no, I'm in no, no, absolutely not no.
- 35:30Speaker 1: I really like that.
- 35:31Speaker 6: There's nothing sarcastic about it. You don't need it for
- 35:33Speaker 6: your real Well, that dance isn't.
- 35:35Speaker 3: Sarcastic, and I'm gonna need it for the dance portion
- 35:38Speaker 3: of the reel.
- 35:39Speaker 6: A motive, no another ulterior.
- 35:42Speaker 7: Listen it's it's but no no daisy. Listen.
- 35:44Speaker 2: It's to say so dance from Doja Kat from twenty twenty,
- 35:47Speaker 2: and we can't use doja Cat.
- 35:49Speaker 3: We're updating it. We're updating it. It's fair use you, guys.
- 35:53Speaker 3: I sent you a link to fair use copyright law
- 35:56Speaker 3: and you won't look at it, and that you won't
- 35:59Speaker 3: read it.
- 36:00Speaker 2: You sent us a Wikipedia article, but that song is
- 36:02Speaker 2: from four years ago.
- 36:05Speaker 3: But like, if we reach out to her, that's what
- 36:08Speaker 3: I'm saying, a place of what's possible if we reach
- 36:10Speaker 3: out to dojacat.
- 36:11Speaker 4: And tell her that we're artists just like her. She
- 36:14Speaker 4: is an artist.
- 36:14Speaker 3: It's going to understand, right, she's maybe I can cut it.
- 36:19Speaker 1: Down from the full song to maybe just half of
- 36:21Speaker 1: the song.
- 36:22Speaker 4: Okay, that's something we could talk about.
- 36:24Speaker 1: That's fine, Okay, next note, I'm taking notes, thank you.
- 36:29Speaker 1: I guess a note that I have for you guys is,
- 36:31Speaker 1: like I think it would be a lot faster, is
- 36:34Speaker 1: if you guys don't try to like come up and
- 36:36Speaker 1: try to touch the mouse when I'm pulling her up
- 36:39Speaker 1: a click farther. And well, for me, it's in the clapping,
- 36:44Speaker 1: like when you say now, snap and clap right in
- 36:47Speaker 1: my ear, about like when a cut should be like
- 36:49Speaker 1: now now now.
- 36:51Speaker 2: Like okay, well, then Daniel, you tell us what gets
- 36:53Speaker 2: through to you, because it seems like none of it is.
- 36:55Speaker 4: That's so true, Like I'm trying my best.
- 36:58Speaker 1: I'm actually trying my best because.
- 37:00Speaker 6: Your fucking little pea brain head.
- 37:01Speaker 1: Okay, that is not positive or uhay, so.
- 37:05Speaker 5: Daniel, how the fuck do I communicate with a fucking idiot?
- 37:09Speaker 1: So I don't feel like I'm an idiot and I'm
- 37:12Speaker 1: trying because you guys keep on. This is the thing.
- 37:15Speaker 1: Like you guys are sitting there on my couch yelling
- 37:19Speaker 1: at me and snapping at me and telling me exactly
- 37:21Speaker 1: what to do, and I'm just trying my best here,
- 37:23Speaker 1: Like I told.
- 37:24Speaker 5: You, if I think you're a fucking stalker because you're
- 37:26Speaker 5: looking at Daisy's coverage all the time.
- 37:30Speaker 8: That's what editors do. That's what editors do. They watch footage.
- 37:39Speaker 7: I have to.
- 37:41Speaker 3: I really think we should schedule a production meeting because
- 37:45Speaker 3: this is really upsetting to hear.
- 37:47Speaker 4: As a friend.
- 37:48Speaker 1: I'm sorry, that's what this is. I did not mean
- 37:51Speaker 1: to yell. I'm sorry, guys. I'm just really under stressed.
- 37:53Speaker 1: I had I didn't tell you guys this, but I'm
- 37:56Speaker 1: actually editing another project and I like kind of can yeah.
- 38:01Speaker 6: What what are you editing?
- 38:04Speaker 1: My friends are trying to I'm trying to edit a
- 38:06Speaker 1: skit on for TikTok for my friends.
- 38:09Speaker 7: That doesn't go anywhere. Why are you doing that? That's
- 38:11Speaker 7: a dead end. You need to be going short films.
- 38:13Speaker 4: Yeah, that's that. Yeah, Just what is that going to
- 38:16Speaker 4: do for you?
- 38:18Speaker 1: Well, it's actually a very funny skit, and like I
- 38:21Speaker 1: think we're actually going to build it into something like
- 38:24Speaker 1: become like a I don't know, like a group that
- 38:26Speaker 1: does gits on TikTok.
- 38:27Speaker 6: I'm like quite literally getting light headed.
- 38:29Speaker 5: I'm like, I've never seen rage like come out of
- 38:32Speaker 5: my body.
- 38:32Speaker 7: Well it's crazy.
- 38:33Speaker 1: Yeah, But like they don't yell at me. They're just
- 38:35Speaker 1: all positive. They say like, hey, that's all right, you
- 38:38Speaker 1: can learn.
- 38:39Speaker 7: I take it.
- 38:39Speaker 2: Now, Hold on a minute, Danielle. First of all, the
- 38:42Speaker 2: only person that yelled is you just now. And I
- 38:44Speaker 2: was going to let you know there's a lot of
- 38:46Speaker 2: paternalism in you and you need to be reading some
- 38:48Speaker 2: bell hooks. That's the first thing I want to let
- 38:50Speaker 2: you know. I think it would be really important for
- 38:52Speaker 2: you to pick up some bell hooks because this is
- 38:54Speaker 2: like really upsetting and it's always going to get in
- 38:56Speaker 2: your way. You have to be a positive and you
- 38:58Speaker 2: have to understand the patriarchal plications of what we're doing. Here,
- 39:01Speaker 2: so you be very careful with that. And second of all,
- 39:03Speaker 2: I just think comedy is the past. You know, I
- 39:05Speaker 2: don't see people making big comedies and so you know,
- 39:10Speaker 2: I don't know whatever I mean, good luck, but I
- 39:12Speaker 2: think you can do two things at once, you know
- 39:14Speaker 2: what I mean?
- 39:15Speaker 1: When my skill at editing, I don't think I can.
- 39:18Speaker 1: So I'm just trying my best. Well is let's just
- 39:27Speaker 1: let's just end on a positive note.
- 39:29Speaker 7: Great.
- 39:30Speaker 1: Is there anything that you guys liked about the first cut?
- 39:34Speaker 1: Why don't we talk about what rather than like what
- 39:36Speaker 1: to cut, what to change? What if we just try
- 39:39Speaker 1: to champion it and what do we like and what
- 39:42Speaker 1: do we want to say?
- 39:43Speaker 6: Okay, fine, Daniel. There was a moment where you spiked
- 39:45Speaker 6: the camera.
- 39:46Speaker 5: I think it was during one of your speeches, and
- 39:48Speaker 5: it actually read quite beautiful to me.
- 39:50Speaker 7: I must admit it was epic. It was good.
- 39:52Speaker 3: Yeah, it was like like a soliloquy, like truly how
- 39:56Speaker 3: it was written on the page.
- 39:58Speaker 5: And it was like from a Fleabag moment. It was
- 39:59Speaker 5: like very fleaback. Have you seen the show Fleabag?
- 40:02Speaker 4: Well that's something I think, like I've been thinking this
- 40:05Speaker 4: from the beginning.
- 40:06Speaker 3: It should be kind of flee back, and maybe that's
- 40:09Speaker 3: something we can implement in the edit if we can.
- 40:12Speaker 1: I think like a voiceover, like what if what if
- 40:16Speaker 1: Days has a voice over and then you can use
- 40:18Speaker 1: that for a voice over.
- 40:19Speaker 7: Real, Okay, who's the gonna who's gonna write that?
- 40:23Speaker 6: Well, okay, who's going to write that?
- 40:27Speaker 1: Two? Three nose goes all literally exactly the time. That's
- 40:34Speaker 1: what he's.
- 40:34Speaker 6: Getting in the way of this. That's what keeps happening.
- 40:37Speaker 7: I have a positive note.
- 40:38Speaker 2: I think the the way that Uh Gianna uh did
- 40:43Speaker 2: the practical thunderstorm was really really creative and really cool
- 40:46Speaker 2: when it came out really good. You mean, that's exactly
- 40:55Speaker 2: what I mean.
- 40:57Speaker 1: And I thought, I know this is crazy, but Gianna
- 41:01Speaker 1: and Gus, you guys like really connected on the lighting
- 41:03Speaker 1: of the the nighttime scene, and I think the lighting
- 41:09Speaker 1: it's really good.
- 41:11Speaker 7: Yeah, we both connected on how dark it should be,
- 41:14Speaker 7: really dark.
- 41:15Speaker 1: And I guess what I'll say is, like Daisy, working
- 41:18Speaker 1: with you was like absolutely amazing, Like I felt like
- 41:21Speaker 1: we really connected as actors and not I'm not saying
- 41:24Speaker 1: anything else, Like I just felt like acting with you
- 41:27Speaker 1: was fantastic and I would love to be your sister
- 41:32Speaker 1: in real life, Like that's.
- 41:34Speaker 4: Because I felt you want to be my sister.
- 41:38Speaker 1: No, like, you know, if there's more, I mean, like, well.
- 41:44Speaker 3: Okay, I mean I thank you, thank you for bringing
- 41:46Speaker 3: that into the space. And I do have a boyfriend.
- 41:52Speaker 3: And to be honest, the way that you're doubling down
- 41:56Speaker 3: after already admitting to looking at my footage as making
- 42:01Speaker 3: me I'm experiencing just sort of like like I'm kind
- 42:06Speaker 3: of I'm just processing all of this, and I'm seeing
- 42:10Speaker 3: if it might be best if you know, if we
- 42:15Speaker 3: maybe contact my brother's friend who knows Premiere.
- 42:22Speaker 7: I think that's amazing.
- 42:26Speaker 2: And I wasn't listening to you because you're just a
- 42:28Speaker 2: little quieter than I'm used to, But now that I'm
- 42:30Speaker 2: seeing what's going on, it would be I think it's.
- 42:33Speaker 7: A really good idea.
- 42:35Speaker 4: Yeah, I hate to offer, but.
- 42:37Speaker 1: I think, honestly, this is such this is such a relief.
- 42:41Speaker 1: Anybody knows Premiere, let's use them. I kind of was
- 42:46Speaker 1: trying to suggest that. Maybe I didn't say it clearly,
- 42:48Speaker 1: but I was trying to suggest that from the beginning,
- 42:50Speaker 1: I think we should hand it off to somebody else,
- 42:52Speaker 1: and like maybe guys, I think there's a chance we
- 42:55Speaker 1: can release this really soon.
- 42:57Speaker 7: Jazzy would please.
- 42:59Speaker 6: Hell, yeah, guys, to admit you I released it?
- 43:04Speaker 1: What what?
- 43:06Speaker 6: I just released it.
- 43:08Speaker 7: That's a violation. Don't you can do that.
- 43:10Speaker 6: I'm released.
- 43:12Speaker 4: It's on our Vimeo page.
- 43:15Speaker 1: Oh my god, seventeen Oh my god, that's too many.
- 43:21Speaker 1: We can't take it down now.
- 43:24Speaker 6: I want I wanted to end the cycle.
- 43:26Speaker 1: So I have Oh, I was really help.
- 43:29Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 43:29Speaker 1: I was hoping this would turn out like all the
- 43:30Speaker 1: other short films I've worked on.
- 43:32Speaker 2: Congrats on release, guys, Congrats on the release. See you
- 43:35Speaker 2: guys at the fucking premiere that the see you guys
- 43:38Speaker 2: at the fucking rap.
- 43:40Speaker 1: Oh my god, let's do rapid zebulon.
- 43:43Speaker 7: Let's see. There's so many bits. I'm gonna run across
- 43:48Speaker 7: the bar to I.
- 43:50Speaker 6: Can't wait to pat you guys.
- 43:51Speaker 7: My other idea wait, I can't wait. I'm in it's
- 43:53Speaker 7: a song.
- 43:55Speaker 1: This is actually crazy. I've got an idea. What if
- 43:57Speaker 1: we made a film about making a short film.
- 44:00Speaker 7: That's a great idea.
- 44:00Speaker 4: God, we have to get on this schedule a production.
- 44:03Speaker 7: Let's do it.
- 44:04Speaker 1: I just probably I would love that.
- 44:05Speaker 7: I just bought four black Magic so I'm way in.
- 44:07Speaker 7: I'm so in.
- 44:08Speaker 1: God not more. Film black are just so much easier
- 44:11Speaker 1: to use than film cameras.
- 44:12Speaker 7: Let's use it, my gotom, I'll put it in my truck.
- 44:14Speaker 4: This is amazing.
- 44:15Speaker 3: I have so many pitches and they all involve Midsummer
- 44:19Speaker 3: Night's stream reimagined Dear Body of Water.
- 44:23Speaker 7: This is awesome, and I'm gonna I'm going to force
- 44:25Speaker 7: us to use a jib. I'm so fucking staked, guys,
- 44:27Speaker 7: We're ready for a jib. We're ready, all right? Hell yeah,
- 44:31Speaker 7: I knew it. It's sometimes it's just good to get
- 44:33Speaker 7: something out there.
- 44:34Speaker 1: Uh huh.
- 44:36Speaker 6: I just got a notification Vimeo took it down. Oh no, why.
- 44:43Speaker 3: Is it because of the slowed down Wheezer saw we
- 44:45Speaker 3: use that a different movie did.
- 44:47Speaker 2: These No, guys, don't be discouraged. These streaming services are
- 44:51Speaker 2: taking down some of the best projects. This is happening
- 44:54Speaker 2: in this industry left and right. This is just a
- 44:58Speaker 2: sign of like, we're you're making art. That's important.
- 45:01Speaker 5: I think it's because after the Blooper reel, we cut
- 45:03Speaker 5: to Zutopia.
- 45:05Speaker 1: And it's just all of the movies. Try everything from
- 45:09Speaker 1: Zutopia featuring Shakira I thought we were just trying to
- 45:13Speaker 1: use the music, and I just left it in there.
- 45:15Speaker 1: I accidentally exported it with it left in there. You guys, ignored, ignored, ignored,
- 45:20Speaker 1: Ignore it.
- 45:22Speaker 7: This has been artist answering the question.
- 45:24Speaker 2: Now.
- 45:24Speaker 7: That's why they call it Chope is good night Hollywood.
- 45:31Speaker 9: Hey guys, if you want to see more of whatever
