- 0:00And you ever have an issue with a neighbor. This is so annoying.
- 0:02This is a real thing that happened to somebody. Their neighbor installed human sized
- 0:08wind chimes right outside the window. Human size, so the biggest, jangliest
- 0:15wind chimes you can imagine, and it's between the houses and so it sort
- 0:19of acts as a wind tunnel. So these chimes are putting the work in.
- 0:22Okay, open up this neighbor all through their house, all through the
- 0:27night. So they want to know what they can do to retaliate other you
- 0:30know, apparently they don't want to. They don't want to go over there
- 0:33and bring it up. Well that's smart, right, you wouldn't want to
- 0:36do that. So they want to do something that annoys their neighbor but doesn't
- 0:39annoy them. But isn't it always the case where something that would normally be
- 0:43annoying to you, but if you're doing it to annoy somebody else, it's
- 0:46not annoying. Yeah, I would think that that wind chime probably sounds really
- 0:49good to the person who put it up, right right, Oh yeah.
- 0:52Or it's like when you were a kid, you're annoying your sibling and you're
- 0:54going like ying ying. It's like, that's horribly annoying objectively, But if
- 0:57I'm the one doing it to annoy you, I don't mind. It feels
- 1:00good. Yeah, you know, then I'm not touching a bit that whole
- 1:03thing. Oh yeah, I'm not touching you. Classic. It's a good
- 1:06one. It's a classic. Do you ever have any issues with the neighbor.
- 1:08I've never had an issue with the neighbor that I felt like angry enough
- 1:12to post about and or talk to them about. No. Once in a
- 1:15while, there's some noise, but it's fine. Yeah, I feel like
- 1:19I want people to be having fun. That's a heck of a way to
- 1:22look at it. I think. So we had this neighbor that they had
- 1:23a dog. They would just leave outside and just let it bark all day,
- 1:27and you know, the house are close together, so it's just like,
- 1:30basically, the dog might as well be on my lap really, you
- 1:33know. And eventually one time I mustered up the courage to go over there,
- 1:37and I knocked on the door and I had no plan, you know,
- 1:40I didn't know what I'm trying to do, and they didn't answer,
- 1:42and then I'm like, oh, thank god, I was going to say
- 1:45where you're going? Oh, dodged a bullet on that one. Well,
- 1:49I tried. I get Amanda in the morning. Seven. I have never
- 1:53been readier. Well, a number we like to do it called is it
- 1:57weird? Something going? Is that weird? Is it weird I'm doing this?
- 2:01Yeah? Are the only one? Or is it the rest of society
- 2:05too? Doing this? And James being that you're the guest of honor on
- 2:09the show that today, I'd like you to go first. I didn't know
- 2:12it was a guest to honor? Did I say that? I didn't mean
- 2:15it? Yeah, Well that's why it sounded weird. Is it weird that
- 2:19Pike called me a guest of honor? Oh? Darry all right? I
- 2:22was offensive so Pike. Last night, which I do a lot of the
- 2:24time, I made some meat in a frying pan for my supper. Yeah,
- 2:31and what I do my move is to not wash the pan. I
- 2:36usually wash the pan that I cook meat in, like if I use it
- 2:38for something else, but not if I cook meat in it, because the
- 2:42meat juice that sits in the bottom of the pan. If I make an
- 2:44egg in that pan, the egg will be more delicious because I left the
- 2:49meat residue on the pan, meat in the pan, So the pan just
- 2:53sits on the stove waiting to make an egg or something else to make that
- 2:58thing more delicious. It does not get washed rarely. So you cook the
- 3:00meat in the pan, yep, take it off, eat it, leave
- 3:04the pan on the stove. You don't wash the pan, No wash my
- 3:06other dishes. I like it, Yeah, you know, I like it
- 3:08because I recently became a blackstone person. Oh, which is a lifestyle.
- 3:13You have a blackstone, I have a blackstone, and I love the blackstone.
- 3:15I'm hooked on the blackstone. But part of that with you know,
- 3:20much like a cast iron, is you don't actually wash it. You don't
- 3:23use soap. If anything can get a little wet, wet, nap and
- 3:27you just kind of wipe it off. But really the most part, you're
- 3:30you really kind of leave it a lot of the rest of you on there,
- 3:31and you know, you just let it build up this layer. Yeah,
- 3:35and it just provides some extra juice. Yeah, I love it.
- 3:39That's not weird to not wash my dishes, my pan. No, I
- 3:43don't think it's weird at all. I'm gonna go not weird not to mention,
- 3:46what a hassle, saver. I know, washing pans, pots and
- 3:50pants the worst and most annoying. In fact, right now, I got
- 3:53a greasy pan in my sink, probably driving my wife crazy. You got
- 3:58it soak in in the soapy No, it's not even so good, it's
- 4:00just dry it. It was just a weekend. It was like it was
- 4:02the night after our show Friday. Our band played in Murphy's Great Show by
- 4:05the way, Things for coming everybody show. But it was just like,
- 4:09I've just taken the day off from doing any chores. So our place is
- 4:13a mess. We had friends stay over on an air mattress blown it,
- 4:15blew it up in the middle of the living room. It's still just there.
- 4:18We're just walking around it. I'll probably get to it like Thursday or
- 4:21something. It right. Is it weird, James, that I, a
- 4:28married man, will openly flatuate, flatulate in the home around my wife when
- 4:35she has never not once returned the favor, not one time. You find
- 4:40that to be a favor that you're giving her. I wouldn't say it's a
- 4:43favor, And it's you know, the weird part to me anyway, And
- 4:46this is up to you to decide being is it weird? It's that I
- 4:50don't like that I do it, but I just can't help myself. You
- 4:55really can't help it, I don't think so. I maybe I have like
- 4:59some stuff cause she's or something, and that's what I like to blame it
- 5:00on. I go, I'm sorry, you got some stomach issues going on.
- 5:04So you're walking around the house, just dude, and then it's like
- 5:09the fourth of July in there you're bing bang bog and then you're just like
- 5:12you're apologizing all day. And she's such a sport about it. But I
- 5:15can't imagine it, you know, And internally it's something she enjoys. Yeah,
- 5:21it feels like it. It feels like it would affect things negatively,
- 5:25Pike. Do you think eventually that'll be our downfall? Well? I don't
- 5:28know about that, but it can't be a good sign, you know,
- 5:30because if I'm being honest, if she were to start returning the favor,
- 5:34I wouldn't like it exactly. Am I a hypocrite? Yes? I'm not
- 5:42enjoying it. So it makes it different, right, it does? I
- 5:45feel I feel great shame. Couldn't you just high tail it to the bathroom?
- 5:48And release. Come on, now, I'd be in the all day.
- 5:51I imagine the shape your thighs would be in though, Oh steps in
- 5:57running, lapse, back and front. I mean they call me mister ten
- 6:00k. They were so gassy bike my god. Yeah. Well, that's
- 6:03the other part is you them. I don't want to do it at work,
- 6:05so you gotta kind of get it out of the way. I would
- 6:09much prefer you to do it at work then too force your wife to have
- 6:13to deal with it. Did you just do it just now? Does anybody
- 6:15that's crazy? Unless you're working like I don't know, my buddy is like
- 6:18a plumber. I imagine it's probably okay. But in an office setting,
- 6:23the plumbers really take it, don't they. They just you know, they
- 6:26got all the bad rap. They can't keep their pants on, and they're
- 6:29just gassing up the joint. I'm just say, you're working by yourself because
- 6:31they're toileting people. No, I'm just saying there's nobody around, you know,
- 6:36what about their what about their coworker John? What about him gassing him
- 6:41out of them? Oh? Well, come on, I'm just saying,
- 6:43if you're just with the fellas, Oh, ladies, can't be plumbers.
- 6:46You're like you're like, you're like, you're doing it around the boys,
- 6:49do you. Well, I think you would have to agree that when the
- 6:53boys are together, it seems like it's pretty open policy. I kind of
- 6:57hate it. I generally you do. Yeah, I just don't want to
- 7:00do it. I never I've never seen you. I tried not to.
- 7:03But yeah, good, well you do it. You're doing a good job.
- 7:05So I'm incredibly bloated. See now I'm worried about yet. You got
- 7:09to relieve that. Okay, open it up, all right, right right
- 7:12now? Biking a man any morning? Right now? Right now? What's
- 7:15that one done in the morning? Yeah? Now, I'm Amanda Stills.
- 7:20Let's see we'e before I spell the tea brought to you by Valley Service Mechanical.
- 7:26Friday Night, my band Low Standards, who I know? I mentioned
- 7:28a time or two played at Murphy's and Moorehead. A great fun time,
- 7:31James, you're having your your engagement party. Fiance works for the news station
- 7:35and of course Balley News Live, and so she had a lot of coworkers
- 7:39out, meaning weather person Lisa Green meteorol. The legend. The legend Lisa
- 7:44Green was at my show and I was like, oh wow, how lucky.
- 7:46And so I talked to Lisa. I said, hey, it would
- 7:47be great before we go on for our last set if you could go on
- 7:50stage and give a forecast, because you know, there's something about yeah,
- 7:55I could look at my phone and just look at it, but something about
- 7:57getting a live forecast from an actual media all time Lisa Green. So she
- 8:01did, so she obliged. She came on stage and she was amazing it,
- 8:05gave a detailed forecast. She was talking about cooler TEMs and precipitation.
- 8:09Everyone is booing her. Yeah, it was great. You know, you
- 8:11don't have to deal with that when you're on TV. Also, Bike,
- 8:13you were leading the booze, which was the best. As I was,
- 8:16I just don't like to hear it cooler TEMs. You were just trying to
- 8:18You were trying to destroy her, and she wasn't having it. She was
- 8:20great, and she ended it. She goes and but there is a slight
- 8:24chance of low standards. And then we started playing so good brutal Mars in
- 8:30a little bit of gambling debt. Oh you see this report over the weekend.
- 8:33Now this is from an anonymous source so it could be totally fake,
- 8:37but let's pretend it's real. Bruno Mars allegedly is racked up over fifty million
- 8:41dollars in gambling debt at MGM in Las Vegas, so now he's doing a
- 8:46residency there, which now it makes it seems like it's a little like they've
- 8:50enslaved him essentially because he owes it. He owes him so much money.
- 8:54Ninety million dollars a year is what they're paying him for the deal, so
- 8:58part of that will go to paying off his debt. Right, fifteen million
- 9:01dollars. How do you get in that much dead? Well, I guess
- 9:05you just make a lot of bad bets. You bet high, yeah,
- 9:07and then you lose and you go, wow, I got to get that
- 9:09back. Have you ever seen a Have you ever been on a high roller
- 9:13table pike? Yeah? Yeah? What's the max bet? I mean,
- 9:16even just a normal table in Vegas where it's like fifteen dollars twenty Yeah,
- 9:18hard to find those. It's more like twenty five dollars minimum. I think
- 9:22the bet the max is like two grand, So you don't see a lot
- 9:24of people doing that. But then you go to a max or a high
- 9:26roller room, and it's like one hundred dollars minimum bet twenty thousand dollars maximum.
- 9:31But then there's more than that, you know. That's like, I
- 9:35think they'll pretty much accommodate whatever you want. Right. If you're saying,
- 9:37hey, I want to bet a million dollars a hand, They're probably gonna
- 9:41let you do it. Can you imagine, Uh, well, I could
- 9:43imagine. Is there a million dollar chip? Or do you got to like
- 9:48stack your chips? What? They don't have so many colors, you know,
- 9:50And I've seen I've been on some I've been on some heaters where you
- 9:52know, seeing a thousand dollar chip, I think it's you have purple?
- 9:56Yeah? Cool? Right, But I don't know what a million dollar would
- 10:00be. What's the biggest bet you've ever seen anyone? Make? Man?
- 10:03I've seen some guys in Vegas where I don't know, you can't like you
- 10:07can't even count, I don't know, probably like ten grand or something.
- 10:11I don't know, you like three bucks, three bucks? Somebody wagered three
- 10:16bucks. This was me. That's a nice thing about gambling in town,
- 10:20as you can bet three dollars. I do like a good three dollars blackjack
- 10:22table plight. Selinion is attempting to make a comeback. Now you're thinking,
- 10:28well, what's the issue you might not have remembered. Twenty twenty two,
- 10:31she was diagnosed with a rare disorder neurological disorder called stiff person syndrome. Oh,
- 10:39I'm assuming anyway that she's just all stiff and so it makes it hard
- 10:43to perform. But it's a good assumption. I think it's fair. Now
- 10:46it is not curable, she says, So, I don't know what they're
- 10:50able to do to sort of unstiffen her, But I hope she'll be able
- 10:52to return to the stage because she is one of the best. She's a
- 10:56great I saw her in Vegas. Speaking of Vegas. Oh, yeah,
- 11:00she's unbelievable. She's so funny, just personable, and that she nails all
- 11:03the notes. She's singing everything. It's oh, such a good voice.
- 11:05It's wouldn't you say that sort of the great voices of like the nineties era
- 11:11anyway, would be of course, Whitney Houston. I would say, Celine
- 11:15Dion and then Mariah Carrey is who I would put in the sort of the
- 11:18power trio. Yeah, that's a nice almost mount Rushmore. Yeah, okay,
- 11:22you had to fill it out. Who would you put over in Rushmore?
- 11:24Lincoln said, yeah, one more vocalist. I replaced Lincoln with Shanaiah.
- 11:30Was she ever real powerhouse vocalist? Though? Well, I mean more
- 11:33just a pop star, right, Yeah, that's true. You got another
- 11:37powerhouse I can't think of it. I would put Jewel in there. I
- 11:39think Jewel's voice is incredible. You think she's got powerhouse voice? Oh my
- 11:41god, James, I saw Jewel at the Fargo Theater. She did this
- 11:45acoustic show. No, I've never seen anything like it. Really, the
- 11:48control she has of that voice is breath taking, and then breath was taken
- 11:52from absolutely was and the hits to go with it. For the hits,
- 11:56yeah, Jewel, Oh god. Celidon's got that cover of I Drove All
- 12:01Night. That's one of my favorites. Person really. I like the theme
- 12:05from Titanic and of course it's all coming back to me now that's an ald
- 12:09Timer series, the build up in that song. She was the original Adele.
- 12:15Yeah, in a way. Dakota Johnson declares she will never ever cross
- 12:18over into music. Now. She's an actress. If you didn't know,
- 12:22but she says she does not like when people do that. She says,
- 12:24people say, oh, you know, i'm a I'm a if a musician
- 12:28goes I'm an actor. Also she goes, no, the beleep you're not,
- 12:31which I kind of like the honesty because that's got to be a little
- 12:33bit of an eye roll for an actual actor. Well it sounds yeah,
- 12:37that's true, but it also sounds like she can't sing. But I don't
- 12:41know that. I know that you can or can't. But who A lot
- 12:46of a lot of singers cross over to acting. I feel like that's easier.
- 12:50But what actor or actress has crossed over to singing and actually done well?
- 12:54You know, I don't like gosh like want Paris Hilton isn't even an
- 12:56actress. I know she was in film, but I would not. Would
- 13:00you consider Hugh Jackman on that list? What does he do musically? I
- 13:03don't know. He did that movie with the Circus that everyone gets mad at
- 13:07me for not being able to see or not seeing I can't could see it
- 13:11first? Oh the greatest show? There you go? Really? Yeah?
- 13:13He was singing? That was his voice? Interesting, Well, I got
- 13:16Bradley Cooper did a nice jop singing. That's right. Yeah, we got
- 13:18Zoey Deschanel. I never heard her music, but I love everything about her.
- 13:22She sings the theme for New Girl. Oh she does no interesting.
- 13:26Jared Letto of course classic, Oh thirty seconds to Bors. Yeah, Anna
- 13:31Kendrick. Yeah. Jamie Fox is actually probably the goat of this. Yeah
- 13:35forgot Jason What what did he do? Originally? I don't know because he
- 13:39does everything. He's a comedian, actor, singer. Yeah. Oh bit
- 13:43speaking a big Willie style. Oh we forgot about Big Will Wait. I
- 13:46tell you what. Will Smith has a couple of bad years. You forget
- 13:48about him completely. I know, I mean really now you know what.
- 13:52He's sad. He obviously more raps than sings. I've never heard him,
- 13:56never heard him say another goat Pike Jack Black, we think of oh Jeff
- 14:01Black Legend, Yeah, White and Amanda in the Morning on seven. Okay,
- 14:07So I want to preface this list one. I did not write it
- 14:11in two with the understanding that men are disgusting. Women are beautiful creatures.
- 14:15We probably turn them off at every turn, right, But this list I've
- 14:18the same. But these are the unusual things wives do that turn their husbands
- 14:24off. Okay, like number three, significant changes to their appearance. So
- 14:30a spouse comes home plastic surgery, new hairstyle, new hair color, or
- 14:35even a breast augmentation, whether larger or smaller. Apparently these things can lead
- 14:39to breakups. Really, yeah, have you ever encountered this? You're engaged
- 14:45man? As your ever come home with a brand new look? No?
- 14:48No, well, I mean that looks a little different once in a while,
- 14:52but it's all good. Yeah, it's all good stuff. But yeah,
- 14:54my wife's hair has been very consistent, very consistent. Yeah, got
- 14:56a consistent mind hair. She has great hair. She always don't want,
- 15:00you know, and she hates it. Of course, why because you always
- 15:03hate what you got. I don't know. Yeah, were always talking about
- 15:05how nice her hair is. What does she want? I don't know.
- 15:07She wants to shave her head. She says that a lot was I'm just
- 15:11gonna shave it all off. Well, so if she shaved her Headpike,
- 15:13that would be Would that be a bit of a turn off? It would
- 15:16be tough. I feel like that's something you gotta discuss before you come home
- 15:20with the bald head. With a great bald head. Yeah, I don't
- 15:22know. Have you ever been bald, Pike? Have I ever been bald?
- 15:24I did? Well. I back in the day on this radio show,
- 15:28we used to do silly things like color my hair different colors and stuff
- 15:31like that, and so I would do the color and then it would grow
- 15:33out and look kind of weird. So then I would just shave it.
- 15:37So I had like a shaved head. But now I think I'm too thin
- 15:39where it's like, yeah, I can't afford to be doing that. Your
- 15:43hair's too thin. Yeah. I got to kind of hang onto what I
- 15:45got, and I think eventually I'll probably have no choice but to be bald.
- 15:48So how's your head shape? Good? Oh? Balbous? Disgusting?
- 15:50Really, yeah, a horrible head. Some people have just a beautiful head
- 15:54that just yeah, yeah, I'm afraid that's not the case. So we
- 15:58have to at some point. You know, I wear a hat a lot,
- 16:02so just kind of preparing people for what it's going to be like when
- 16:03I'm bald. Maybe a cool taxi cab guy hat. There you go,
- 16:07do one of those fedora. I don't think I could do a fedora.
- 16:11No. No, speaking of turning people off, you might might do it.
- 16:15Speaking all right, So unusual things wives do to turn their husbands off,
- 16:19bombarding them with their grievances. So imagine you get home, first thing
- 16:23you do start unloading on your husband all the things that went wrong at work
- 16:26and why Janet is so annoying and she's a micromanager and this sucks and the
- 16:33kids' schedules are too much. That can be a turnoff. I actually that
- 16:37doesn't bother me. No, you like hearing the grievances from your partner?
- 16:41Yeah? Yeah, why? Uh you know, I I don't mind either
- 16:45if they're not about me, I guess if they're about me, come on
- 16:47now. Objectively, it is hard to listen to like complaints, especially if
- 16:52it's your partner's like workplace, because it's stuff you don't know. It's not
- 16:56anything to do with you. You can sort of relate because it's probably something
- 16:59you know, the same idea anyway of what happens at your workplace. But
- 17:03at the end of the day, it's hard, but you just care because
- 17:04it's them, you know what I mean? Right? Yeah, and that
- 17:07if it's doing something for them, gladly do it. Absolutely. Yep.
- 17:11I don't know any of the people you're talking about or the terms. I
- 17:15don't know the dynamic of your work relationships, but lay it on me.
- 17:21Let's have it. Let's have it. And then finally, the number one
- 17:22thing that wives do to turn their husbands off giving intimate feedback in a cruel
- 17:30or hostile way. That's feedback. By all means, I feel like there's
- 17:34not enough feedback being given in general. And if there's anybody you should be
- 17:37open about the feedback should be your part, your your spouse. Right here,
- 17:41what do you give a lot of feedback? Me? No? Again,
- 17:44like I said at the beginning, who am I to give feedback?
- 17:48I'm just lucky. I'm lucky to be on the team. Lucky if you
- 17:52participated. But by all means, if you're going to give feedback, be
- 17:55nice about it. And yet, there's nothing worse than somebody walks in a
- 17:57room and they just go well, And that's the other thing. If it's
- 18:02something that I can't change, then there's no need for feedback. You know
- 18:07what is that? Specifically, you look like you have something out in your
- 18:10mind, you know what I mean? Like, for example, if somebody
- 18:11was trying to give me feedback on how to be more attractive, they say,
- 18:14well, first of all, you got to be a lot taller.
- 18:15I'd be like, okay, but thanks for the help. Well that's rude,
- 18:18that's what I'm saying. You don't say that. I'm saying that's similar
- 18:22to what I'm describing here, you know. But if you you could say,
- 18:25hey, maybe try this, Maybe try rotating counterclockwise instead and see what
- 18:30that little counter opposite change the direction. You never hurt anybody. Dude,
- 18:36you think that you go it is because you see so many clockspike, you
- 18:40don't think of it. That's a really good recommendation. It does go against
- 18:44the grain. And I think that's the beautiful thing about it. I like
- 18:45to call it the grain too, if that to be quite attract Yes,
- 18:49oh yeah, it like in a minute in the morning on a big nut
- 18:55eight point seven. You ever get in online arguments some people I just live
- 19:00for it, Just love going back and forth with some stranger. You know.
- 19:03You see it all the time on like the local news channels facebook pages.
- 19:07This got so bad. This guy who is a big Nicki Minaj fan,
- 19:11okay, was so upset because a dual Leipa fan question the fact that
- 19:17Nicki Minaj is the Queen of rap, which is weird because du Alipa.
- 19:21Nobody's calling her a rapper or a queen of any kind. No, she's
- 19:25a queen. Is she dual Lipa? Have you seen a photo or video
- 19:30of her? We can't say Queen Beyonce? Oh I was judging by the
- 19:33music. Oh are you just saying that you find the character? I would
- 19:37say she is attractive, She's very beautiful. She's just not a Beyonce or
- 19:38Taylor Swift, right, and you know she's in the middle of it.
- 19:41But she is currently sort of the queen of like modern disco pop dance music,
- 19:47right, I mean just pumping Who else is? Who did she de
- 19:51throw them for that title? Disco pop classical hybrid music. She ripped the
- 19:56crown right off of uh Aqua. It was her in Aqua. They were
- 20:03fighting it out and she won King of the Mountain. I know Aqua,
- 20:07the ones who do Barbie Girl. Of course that I had that CD.
- 20:11I actually had the tape and the CD. That weird time in the nineties
- 20:15were depending on which vehicle you were, But my god, that album was
- 20:18perfect. It was called Aquarium from Aqua. Every song is a certified banger.
- 20:25Really, Yeah, seriously, just listen to it if you want.
- 20:27I want. It's a perfect music. No, yeah, with Barbie Girl.
- 20:32Yeah, dude, that's the worst. That's the worst song on the
- 20:33album. But that guy and the two were actually a couple. I think
- 20:37they were married, like a bobby. Yeah. Yeah, he's got a
- 20:40great voice. Oh, I love him. He's so good in some other
- 20:42songs too. Yeah. I just want to talk about Aqua. But I
- 20:45got to tell you the story because I brought it up. So the guy,
- 20:48they were going back and forth dual leap of fans questions whether Nicki Minaj
- 20:52is a queen of rap, which I don't know. Maybe she is,
- 20:55maybe she isn't. So guy gets a knock on the door. Nicki Minaj
- 20:59fan will leap A guy is so upset that he found the dude's address whoa
- 21:03and showed up at his door. Whoa. So Nicki Minaska's like, what
- 21:07what the heck? Were just arguing on Twitter? What are you doing?
- 21:11And you got to assume if he came all that way and I don't know,
- 21:12it doesn't say what If they were right, they would that'd be great.
- 21:18I assume he had to go a long distance. So and so you
- 21:21assume, if you've come this far, you probably got a gun, right,
- 21:23you're probably trying to kill me. Yeah, I don't know that.
- 21:26I would have opened the door. Yeah, well he called the police,
- 21:30police showed up. No charge is filed. I guess you know you're allowed
- 21:33to show up. But it feels a little bit terrorizing, doesn't I think
- 21:37I would have had to. I would have had to build a case against
- 21:40him and go look at all the things he said to me on Twitter,
- 21:41and now he's here obviously stalker. I mean, suppose you could get up.
- 21:45I don't know what the rules are in restraining orders, but it sure
- 21:48feels to me like you can do that to anybody. Restraining order, Yeah,
- 21:52well you can. So Mina's guy could restraining order or or do a
- 21:56lip a guy, Yeah, I think, and then he should he should.
- 21:57Yeah, they can of course did not restraining orders, which you hear
- 22:00that happening really And also the other thing with restraining orders is are there's a
- 22:06piece of paper, Are they really stopping anybody? Sadly? No? No,
- 22:10Aqua, Oh yeah, Aqua. I'm gonna play you that whole album,
- 22:11kay right now? Well, not on the air, it's gonna be
- 22:15you and me privately, but I would like to do that. I'm gonna
- 22:17get a private sash. Yeah, yeah, private listening sash. Can't wait
- 22:21tiding me up, Daddy Pike, get a minute in the morning, come
- 22:23get up on Big seven. Well I am, I will say, dangerously
- 22:29close to caring. Oh no, first time in my life. No about
- 22:33the royal family? Boy? Are you following along with what's going on with
- 22:36Kate Middleton, the Princess of Wales? Is that this picture drama? Well?
- 22:40Yeah, Mother's Day they release this photo of her and the boy or
- 22:44the girls and whatever kids they have, whatever combination of Joders children, and
- 22:49so her ring is not on, She's not wearn't a wedding ring. So
- 22:52what you got speculation going that she's on the outs with William? And then
- 22:57two she hasn't actually been seen like in person, and no footage of her
- 23:03in months. She apparently had this medical issue going on. She had some
- 23:07surgery of some kind, and so people are now starting to question is she
- 23:11dead? Is she dead? She might be dead, And so now I'm
- 23:15like, okay, this is sort of juicy. Oh it's juicy. I
- 23:18mean, can you imagine if that was the case. If they were trying
- 23:21to hide that she died, right they killed her and now they're just like
- 23:23posting photos and altering photos and eventually does it. No one's going to have
- 23:29to have a look at her, you know, right. So apparently there's
- 23:32a report now that Kate Middleton may discuss her health next month. Okay,
- 23:37apparently she's waiting, you know, whether it's like she is dismembered in some
- 23:41way or just doesn't look how she wants to be portrayed. And I mean
- 23:45this possible dismemberment. Does she have leprosy? I don't know. Stuff's just
- 23:49falling off. What if she had to get all of her limbs amputated for
- 23:52what? But that's just it. Does that ever happen? That's does anybody
- 23:56have to have? Yes? You ever seen somebody with like a brain eating
- 23:59a meat? This is why I don't go to the bathroom in the ocean,
- 24:03because it can get in there. Again, I read that once.
- 24:07So that's why if I go to the bathroom in the ocean, I make
- 24:10sure that the water level is below like thigh high and like it couldn't climb
- 24:15up the stream. I climb the stream into your mind. No, I'm
- 24:22I'm saying time out of my mind right now. I'm just saying I'm reducing
- 24:26the chances. And nevertheless, she may or may not have You know what
- 24:30I speak about. When I think about a climb in the stream, it's
- 24:33like if you would lay down, you would be pouring gasoline out of a
- 24:37you know, a jug, and then you light it on fire at the
- 24:40bottom it would climb it up into the jug. No, that's exactly what
- 24:42would happen going against the current. You know, I'm a strong That'd be
- 24:47like going in the Red River and swimming up the current. You know how
- 24:51strong of a swimmer you'd have to be. You think Phelps could go down
- 24:53to Dike East and swim up that stream. No, I don't think so.
- 25:00The last thing, maybe I have a ton of faith and felt it's
- 25:03more than you know. Okay, So apparently the royal couple, Kate and
- 25:08William, they're shaken by the backlash suggesting that their marriage is on the rocks.
- 25:15They're shaken. Imagine how how would you feel and you're engaged, you're
- 25:18not even married yet, right, Imagine if there was rumors going through the
- 25:22town that your relationship was on the rocks and it was not the case.
- 25:26Do people don't people just assume that about everyone all the time. Yeah,
- 25:29I'm never shocked. Are you ever shocked to hear somebody's relationship is on the
- 25:33rocks? Yeah? I guess that's that's that's what happens. You know what
- 25:36happens something? What's the old law, Murphy's law? Well, you know
- 25:41it goes on long enough and if it's possible, it's gonna happen given enough
- 25:45time to someone, to someone. Yeah, obviously not you or me,
- 25:48but other people. No, I'll die long before from from a brain eating
- 25:53amba. Well, not with the practice I've installed. That's true. You
- 25:57have protected yourself quite but trending. Now, excuse what you need some now?
- 26:03Might I have your attention? James filling in from Antles, I don't
- 26:07know, take it away though. They six percent commission and a standard in
- 26:11home purchase transactions is no more, Pike, No, the one where if
- 26:14you're selling your house you have to pay six percent of the purchase price,
- 26:18you have to pay your realtor and the other person's realtor. That's no longer
- 26:21a thing. That's no longer a thing, Pike it's a sweeping move expected
- 26:23to dramatically reduce the cost of buying and selling a home. The National Association
- 26:27of Realtors said that it's agents who list a home for sale on the MLS
- 26:32will no longer be allowed to use the service to offer to pay a commission
- 26:36to agents that represent potential home buyers. So it sounds like you, the
- 26:40seller, you'll be saving some money in your future transaction, means you're gonna
- 26:44put some coin in your pocket, Pike. And a lot of people don't
- 26:45want to sell their house because they got that low, low interest rate.
- 26:49I've got us sad I sold mine. You did, when'd you sell a
- 26:52house twenty twenty one? Yeah? Wow, of that. Baby sure loved
- 27:00being judged by somebody who knows more about money than me, Pike. That
- 27:03hurts. I am just so bitter when it comes to real estate and homes.
- 27:07And because you know, we bought a home at like the peak,
- 27:11you know, high interest rate, just the just the worst. Everyone else
- 27:15you meet they're like, oh, yeah, doubled in value the first two
- 27:18years, Like my interest rate was two point nine percent. Oh my god,
- 27:21sickening, sickening, Let's just sell it. That'll binner. It's just
- 27:25like it's just one of those things where it's like, man, nothing ever
- 27:26goes right. O. Man, your name is Pike. I mean,
- 27:33honestly, it's raining on my head again today. I guess that's how it
- 27:37goes. Yeah, reining in the form of five point eight percent raining drops
- 27:45keep falling on his head. Are United aircraft lost an external panel mid flight.
- 27:51The crew had no idea until the Boeing plane landed in Oregon. So
- 27:55far, nobody's reported finding the panel. Fortunately nobody was injured. It's not
- 27:57looking good for you know, their planes are falling apart. But then it's
- 28:03like, what are there other plane? Do they have a real monopoly on
- 28:06plane? They do, except there's one other company. Oh really, they
- 28:08make the air bus, but I don't remember their name, Stanley, maybe
- 28:14Yamaha, something like that. Interesting. The thing about the Boeing thing,
- 28:18Pike, is that these planes are not going down, so that would tell
- 28:22me they rarely do that. No matter how much my plane falls apart,
- 28:26it seems to be able to stay in the air. I thowt, you
- 28:29know, because there's not a lot of deaths annually via airplane, you know,
- 28:33But I did see one and what I think it was. In the
- 28:33seventies, it was the deadliest air disaster ever. Five hundred and thirty people
- 28:38died because an airplane was taken off and kind of like lost control. And
- 28:44picture another airplane on the same runway. It ran over that plane. They
- 28:48don't have video of it, but they did do like a reenactment, and
- 28:49it's just like both planes exploded. How does that even occur? You know?
- 28:53It was a foggy I know that, you know, And in the
- 28:56seventies maybe the radar I don't know, was lack of communication, which with
- 29:02air air traffic control and poor communication, fog was worse. In the seventies
- 29:06fog was Say what you want, but we've come a long ways with fog
- 29:11fog. Yeah, we've basically eradicated the fog problem on the bigger and better
- 29:15today. Pike is National Awkward Moments Day. Yeah. He also, it's
- 29:23gonna be windy with a high of forty. See what I was doing Friday?
- 29:27I thought that was real. Well, it probably was. It's not
- 29:30too far out of the norm. Because I'm true famous for awkward moments.
- 29:33I've never felt more uncomfortable than around me sitting in here, I like to
- 29:37I do. I love creating awkward moments. It's not awkward for me,
- 29:41but I like making it awkward for the other people and just sort of seeing
- 29:44how they react. Just sitting in it, just sitting in it. Yeah.
- 29:47Yeah, people don't like it. People don't like it. I like
- 29:49it, Amanda in the Morning on sign James, if I could, I'd
- 29:56like to take you back to the year nineteen ninety six. Oh, I
- 29:59remember it fondly. Yeah, what was going on? Well, my parents
- 30:02got divorced. I think I think it was that year. You remember the
- 30:07year. Macarena by Lowestell Rio was the number one song at the end of
- 30:11the year. One Sweet Day by Mariah Carrying Boys to Men, Chicago Bulls,
- 30:17MJ. Big Willie Clinton, Scott Pipp Big Willie style to the middle
- 30:22of the middle of the Clinton administration. And this was happening. This couple
- 30:26who shall be nameless, named nameless, they got married. Okay, this
- 30:30guy and this girl got married in nineteen ninety six. They we can love
- 30:33now. The man had a career and so he was making good money,
- 30:36and so the wife it was determined that she would stay home, she would
- 30:41keep the house in order which I don't know how you know, how many
- 30:44hours a day does that take? I don't know. But then they had
- 30:45a daughter, so she went on the side of his house. She was
- 30:48a stay at home mom. Okay, well, twenty two years later,
- 30:51fast forward to twenty twenty two, just two years ago, this couple,
- 30:55it all falls apart. They decide they can't go on anyone. Oh man,
- 30:57they're getting a divorce, much like my parents twenty two years prior.
- 31:03And so this is in Europe. Things are a little different over there,
- 31:07but apparently this is becoming more of a thing there where the woman who stayed
- 31:11home for all those years didn't pursue a career because it was decided that she
- 31:15would be the homemaker. She wanted money from him because of that. So
- 31:21all the work she did, she wants to be compensated for raising the daughter,
- 31:25getting ready for school, doing all that clean in the house. And
- 31:27so she asked for one hundred and twenty thousand dollars. Now the husband,
- 31:32he said, whoa, whoa, whoa too much? Are you crazy?
- 31:36Too much? And then the wife returned, and she came back and said,
- 31:38whoa, hang on, now, I don't think it's enough. Now
- 31:41that you mention it, I think I'd like some more money. Yeah,
- 31:45So I went to court and the judge actually determined that ninety six thousand dollars
- 31:48would be the number that this husband would have to pay the wife for eighteen
- 31:52years, for twenty two years. Yeah, that seems low. Eighteen years
- 31:56of the child, right, right? But what do you think I mean?
- 32:00Because now she has to work on her own, right, She's off
- 32:02on her own and she has to pay her own bills. So she had
- 32:05to get a job, having no experience in anything. Her resume is naked
- 32:09like this piece of paper right here. Fine, I see your last job
- 32:13was nineteen eighty four at a gas station. Yeah, seems like that.
- 32:19Seems like ninety six is low in that case. Because you got no history
- 32:22work history, how do you even get a job? Imagine just paying somebody
- 32:25ninety six thousand dollars. That would hurt. Yeah, that would be a
- 32:30good that would be a good chunk of my savings. It'd be a significant
- 32:36percentage. It wouldn't be tough to recover from that one back. Can we
- 32:39take a couple of days, Well, I wouldn't have much left, wouldn't
- 32:44have zero though, No, I don't know that the negative something actually
