- 1:23[SPEAKER_02]: June July, edition of Fumin TV review will be looking at the releases for this summer month.
- 1:33[SPEAKER_02]: I'm going to make my regular host, Richard Afonzo and Andrew.
- 1:39[SPEAKER_02]: I've got a few titles that have made them to Fumin TV.
- 1:43[SPEAKER_02]: The life of Chuck, the return, twenty-eight days later, Jurassic Park,
- 1:49[SPEAKER_02]: or well to rebirth.
- 1:51[SPEAKER_02]: So act, Megan too.
- 1:53[SPEAKER_02]: I heart F-One and of course the latest season and we season finale of Squid Game, season free.
- 2:02[SPEAKER_02]: So, welcome and let's sound off.
- 2:04[SPEAKER_02]: We Richard who saw the life of Chuck.
- 2:11[SPEAKER_02]: Yes, Richard, just give me a give it a one down or that of the life of Chuck.
- 2:15[SPEAKER_02]: What's, yeah.
- 2:16[SPEAKER_03]: It's going to be tough to
- 2:19[SPEAKER_03]: Talk much about the premises of this movie without going into spoiler.
- 2:22[SPEAKER_03]: So I'm going to try to be careful.
- 2:26[SPEAKER_03]: So the life of track actually is a notation for a Stephen King novel or shop novel or whatever.
- 2:35[SPEAKER_03]: When you say about, I guess that you can imagine if you know not much about Stephen King, you might think that you're going to be something scary or whatever because it is kind of well known for that kind of genre.
- 2:47[SPEAKER_03]: Is that thing that's scary at all?
- 2:49[SPEAKER_03]: The life of Chuck is provisional.
- 2:54[SPEAKER_03]: It's an amazing cast, let's face it.
- 2:59[SPEAKER_03]: The one actually that he's on all the posters is Tom Hiddleston.
- 3:04[SPEAKER_03]: Although he's not, perhaps he's not actually the main, he doesn't pay it.
- 3:09[SPEAKER_03]: Well, he plays the main character, but he's not on screen most of the time.
- 3:16[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, but it's totally risky.
- 3:17[SPEAKER_03]: It's a tough actually to do with spoilers.
- 3:20[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, so Toby doesn't this mean in this movie.
- 3:24[SPEAKER_03]: Luke Skywalker, Michael Armo is in this movie.
- 3:32[SPEAKER_03]: People from the MCU have this movie, not only to me, but there is also, she would tell you, for in this movie, carrying in this movie, the kid from room, Jack of Pram Lane in this movie.
- 3:45[SPEAKER_03]: It is narrated by Nick Hoffman.
- 3:46[SPEAKER_03]: So it is a nice cast.
- 3:52[SPEAKER_03]: And it could be this way.
- 3:55[SPEAKER_03]: The movie is divided in three.
- 3:58[SPEAKER_03]: It's a free part of the movie.
- 4:01[SPEAKER_03]: And like in a play you have act one, act two, act three.
- 4:07[SPEAKER_03]: It starts with act three.
- 4:10[SPEAKER_03]: And then it goes back in time in a way.
- 4:14[SPEAKER_03]: So it starts straight away with Kai.
- 4:16[SPEAKER_03]: And that's actually the best I mean it's.
- 4:19[SPEAKER_03]: The act free is literally the beginning of the end of the world.
- 4:24[SPEAKER_03]: That's how the movie starts to give you an idea.
- 4:26[SPEAKER_03]: But again, it starts to scary and not the sad movie by the way, but it starts with kind of the beginning of the end of the world.
- 4:34[SPEAKER_03]: And this act, the first act, starts characters play by Karen Gillian and she will tell you four.
- 4:42[SPEAKER_03]: And they are witnessing
- 4:45[SPEAKER_03]: collapse of society and then the world around them.
- 4:51[SPEAKER_03]: So it's not very very optimistic start obviously.
- 4:55[SPEAKER_03]: When something very interesting kind of mysterious things happen at the same time, then it ends with the act.
- 5:03[SPEAKER_03]: When the second act is focused more on a character played by Tom Eddleston, who is some kind of accountant,
- 5:14[SPEAKER_03]: And he's just one day of his life, perhaps one of his best day of his life, where he's enjoying life very much.
- 5:25[SPEAKER_03]: And the third act is a character played by Jacob Tombley.
- 5:31[SPEAKER_03]: And his relationship with his grandfather, I think, or great unquote, whatever, played by Mac Amo.
- 5:41[SPEAKER_03]: It's his childhood teenage years and kind of coming of age, kind of half our movie.
- 5:51[SPEAKER_03]: And I want to say more.
- 5:53[SPEAKER_03]: But it's not free, it's just actually that we are obviously connected.
- 5:57[SPEAKER_03]: That can't say just more.
- 5:59[SPEAKER_03]: But I would say the whole movie is about
- 6:09[SPEAKER_03]: appreciating the moments in your life, but matter, and appreciating even more, because we all are dying in a way.
- 6:25[SPEAKER_03]: Even when we are born, we know that actually at some point there is an expiry date, sorry.
- 6:32[SPEAKER_03]: And that's actually the message of the movie.
- 6:35[SPEAKER_03]: So in a way, it starts talking about a sad thing, which is, therefore, of people you love and your own death.
- 6:42[SPEAKER_03]: But it is definitely written in a way that, actually, it's kind of a trying to think about the English word that I'm trying to use here.
- 6:50[SPEAKER_03]: It's a name, an anthem, at two life in French, we could also say, in English,
- 6:58[SPEAKER_03]: And that's what the movie is in an hour and a half.
- 7:01[SPEAKER_03]: It's extremely positive in a way, surprisingly.
- 7:05[SPEAKER_03]: And yeah, it's one of the movie that creates a very uplifting, is that the right word?
- 7:10[SPEAKER_03]: And honestly, it was a neutralized, it's very great surprise.
- 7:14[SPEAKER_03]: If you don't watch any trailer like I did, you don't know what to expect.
- 7:19[SPEAKER_03]: You are surprised at the fan minutes.
- 7:20[SPEAKER_03]: You don't know what
- 7:22[SPEAKER_03]: It's going to be the next hour, and when you see the whole picture at the end, yeah, it was one of the best in the experience of a year for me.
- 7:29[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, it was good.
- 7:32[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, thank you.
- 7:33[SPEAKER_02]: We get those enough films.
- 7:34[SPEAKER_02]: Usually they make it on to streaming now, but it's been a while in the States.
- 7:39[SPEAKER_02]: I think it did.
- 7:40[SPEAKER_02]: I'm pretty sure, but not sure.
- 7:42[SPEAKER_03]: No, I recommend it.
- 7:43[SPEAKER_03]: I highly commend it.
- 7:44[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 7:45[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, that's good.
- 7:46[SPEAKER_03]: Good term.
- 7:47[SPEAKER_02]: Right, next.
- 7:50[SPEAKER_02]: This is the return.
- 7:51[SPEAKER_02]: I think this is Ralph Fines and Gillette, but not doing kind of version of the Odyssey.
- 7:58[SPEAKER_02]: This is I know there's a big other project with
- 8:03[SPEAKER_02]: Christopher Nolan, much loaded in a couple years time.
- 8:06[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, yeah.
- 8:06[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 8:06[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 8:06[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 8:07[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 8:07[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 8:07[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 8:07[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 8:07[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 8:07[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 8:07[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 8:07[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 8:08[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 8:08[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 8:08[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 8:08[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 8:08[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 8:08[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 8:08[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 8:09[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 8:09[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 8:09[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 8:09[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 8:09[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 8:09[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 8:10[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 8:10[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 8:10[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 8:10[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 8:11[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 8:11[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 8:11[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 8:11[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 8:12[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 8:12[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 8:12[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 8:12[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 8:13[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 8:14[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 8:14[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 8:15[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
- 8:15[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
- 8:15[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
- 8:15[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
- 8:15[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
- 8:15[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
- 8:15[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
- 8:16[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
- 8:16[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
- 8:16[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
- 8:16[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
- 8:16[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
- 8:16[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 8:16[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 8:16[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 8:17[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 8:17[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 8:17[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 8:17[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 8:17[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 8:17[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 8:17[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 8:18[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 8:18[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 8:18[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 8:18[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 8:18[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 8:18[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 8:18[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 8:18[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 8:18[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 8:19[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 8:19[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 8:19[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 8:19[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 8:20[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 8:20[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 8:20[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 8:20[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 8:20[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 8:20[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 8:21[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 8:21[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 8:21[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 8:21[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 8:21[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 8:21[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 8:21[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 8:21[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 8:22[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 8:23[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 8:23[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 8:23[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 8:23[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 8:23[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 8:24[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 8:24[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 8:24[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 8:24[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 8:25[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 8:25[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 8:25[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 8:25[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 8:25[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 8:26[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 8:26[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah
- 8:27[SPEAKER_02]: No.
- 8:31[SPEAKER_03]: It's always personal opinions here, that I'm not a movie critic obviously.
- 8:37[SPEAKER_03]: As much as I've recommended, like a life of Chuck, I don't see how I can recommend rid of it.
- 8:42[SPEAKER_03]: I mean, yes, great actors both of them.
- 8:46[SPEAKER_03]: Rye finds Jid Binash in French and often in French, but in French she is like a legend and
- 8:55[SPEAKER_03]: In a way, yeah, I saw them on post-transfeking.
- 8:58[SPEAKER_03]: Is that a sequel to what was it, the Constantine Gardner, or the Vyingly Spaces?
- 9:03[SPEAKER_03]: The Vyingly Spaces?
- 9:09[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, it is, yeah, it is what he just said.
- 9:12[SPEAKER_03]: But let's say, actually, it is the Odyssey, but the boring part of the Odyssey, which is,
- 9:22[SPEAKER_03]: In a way, the odyssey is supposed to be, I'm guessing that what Nolan is going to do next year, it's going to be like this very, be quest of some French-eulies or odysses, whether coming back from Troy and trying to come back and facing so many challenges or supernatural challenges to go back to his wife Penelope, okay?
- 9:44[SPEAKER_03]: Fair enough.
- 9:45[SPEAKER_03]: So basically, it's very interesting.
- 9:47[SPEAKER_03]: Now, you have a very different, which is a movie, the same story.
- 9:51[SPEAKER_03]: But from the point of view of Penelope, who is literally waiting on an island for husband, who she thinks is dead, and she's the only one who thinks that maybe she is not dead, but he will come back one day.
- 10:07[SPEAKER_03]: And it's true that when you read, it's true actually that the story is that, but it's like one line, so it's not a movie.
- 10:15[SPEAKER_03]: But technically there's a lot of like princes of different kingdoms, whatever, won't have to replace.
- 10:26[SPEAKER_03]: It is as the king or whatever land they are and they all won't marry Penalope.
- 10:34[SPEAKER_03]: And she keeps saying, no, no, no, I will wait for my husband to come back and pass the movie.
- 10:39[SPEAKER_03]: The movie is her saying, no, no, no, no, I don't want to marry you.
- 10:42[SPEAKER_03]: There's like fights between all these guys for these women.
- 10:47[SPEAKER_03]: not real fiber, yeah, sometimes it's kind of bloody but come on.
- 10:51[SPEAKER_03]: And but at the same time, I find it's replaced with this.
- 10:56[SPEAKER_03]: It's actually reaching the shores of Eastland.
- 10:59[SPEAKER_03]: So it came back with some reason that I still don't understand quite clearly about my in my head.
- 11:07[SPEAKER_03]: I, in which is the shores at the beginning of the movie.
- 11:11[SPEAKER_03]: So for two hours, is on this one side of the, of this island,
- 11:17[SPEAKER_03]: It pretends to be some kind of homeless guy.
- 11:20[SPEAKER_03]: He doesn't go, doesn't go to the capital to say, hey, I come back here, I am.
- 11:29[SPEAKER_03]: And he just lived his wife in sadness and sorrow.
- 11:34[SPEAKER_03]: And you know, he's in whatsoever.
- 11:37[SPEAKER_03]: And he waits so long just to say, here, I'm back, et cetera.
- 11:41[SPEAKER_03]: And I don't get it.
- 11:42[SPEAKER_03]: I just don't get it.
- 11:45[SPEAKER_03]: and nothing much happens to be honest.
- 11:48[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, it's almost over, I mean, the two of them are extremely good.
- 11:52[SPEAKER_03]: Jan Binoche is extraordinary in what she has to do.
- 11:55[SPEAKER_03]: But every single one of the supporting actors, the ones that she wants to marry her, they are terrible.
- 12:03[SPEAKER_03]: They are terrible.
- 12:03[SPEAKER_03]: I mean, it's so sad, it's almost like, they almost play like I'm sorry, I'm also like a train of yellow.
- 12:16[SPEAKER_03]: It's sometimes the scenes look like a tender to play in the video.
- 12:20[SPEAKER_03]: What the hell is going on here?
- 12:23[SPEAKER_03]: If you want to fall asleep, you have problems of sleeping at what time, watch the return on TV on streaming, and trust me, you're going to fall in five minutes.
- 12:33[SPEAKER_03]: That's my point.
- 12:34[SPEAKER_02]: It's disappointing.
- 12:36[SPEAKER_02]: It looks like a good play almost.
- 12:39[SPEAKER_02]: It's going to read some questions.
- 12:41[SPEAKER_02]: full of soft core musings, especially, you know, not the just bad bone of a classical, you know, Greek legend.
- 12:50[SPEAKER_02]: And great talent, but, ah, all right, you know, sad, that is a bit sad.
- 12:55[SPEAKER_02]: Anyway, oh, all right then.
- 12:58[SPEAKER_02]: Right, to speaking of a return, an ex-film is a long, just sitting return to, I guess,
- 13:09[SPEAKER_02]: genre, defining movie.
- 13:12[SPEAKER_02]: Back in the day, my daddy won.
- 13:13[SPEAKER_02]: That was like twenty eight hours later, or was it all what it was?
- 13:19[SPEAKER_02]: But here is twenty eight days later, it all.
- 13:24[SPEAKER_03]: Twenty eight years later, I believe I was not sure what to think because I spoke too much or anything.
- 13:29[SPEAKER_03]: Are we talking about twenty-eight days later?
- 13:31[SPEAKER_02]: No, I feel like talking about twenty-eight years.
- 13:33[SPEAKER_02]: Sorry, that was me.
- 13:37[SPEAKER_02]: But yeah, it was twenty-eight.
- 13:39[SPEAKER_02]: Yes, well, obviously, it was originally, back then, David, where these zombie kind of redefining a movie back in the day, which was very popular and sort of a whole lot of other spin-offs inside projects on TV.
- 13:56[SPEAKER_02]: there's on the apocalypse but now like twenty eight days later Danny Ward takes up the reins again and I'm wondering if it does show us anything new is any life in the old corpse yet and it's the Richard Afonzo and Andrew you also this uh our funzo and he used to tell us uh was his long awaited film worth the wait
- 14:24[SPEAKER_04]: To me, it was, well, I mean, I wasn't waiting for it.
- 14:29[SPEAKER_04]: I wasn't expecting it.
- 14:31[SPEAKER_04]: After this break of a few years, since the last one, the twenty, twenty-eight weeks later, I think it was a second part.
- 14:44[SPEAKER_04]: But it wasn't very good.
- 14:45[SPEAKER_04]: I thought it was thrilling.
- 14:49[SPEAKER_04]: It's about this family who lives in an island and needs to go inland to get, I guess, through the river.
- 14:59[SPEAKER_04]: I don't know exactly what they were doing there, but I guess they need to go there for something.
- 15:05[SPEAKER_04]: I don't know if I missed that card.
- 15:07[SPEAKER_04]: But that actually actually go out of the island.
- 15:10[SPEAKER_04]: Then there's this father and basically his son, his twelve-year-old son,
- 15:16[SPEAKER_04]: who is starting to go outside with him with like a bow to hunt zombies for some reason.
- 15:29[SPEAKER_04]: They kind of he wants to teach him how to manage in a while with zombies.
- 15:37[SPEAKER_04]: And that's how it starts.
- 15:39[SPEAKER_04]: And then things develop in, I would say thrilling
- 15:45[SPEAKER_04]: ways in different ways.
- 15:50[SPEAKER_04]: There is basically the one who is basically the center of the film, who is struggling with everything new that is happening around him and thinks that he doesn't fully understand, is a son played by altri Williams and he is the film is basically his journey.
- 16:14[SPEAKER_04]: about understanding what is happening around him and also inside of his family.
- 16:21[SPEAKER_04]: Let's say a little bit.
- 16:23[SPEAKER_04]: So it had depth and at the same time many, yeah, many trillion changes with zombies and adventure.
- 16:36[SPEAKER_04]: And in the end, a little madness, I would say, well, I mean, it's all this madness, but
- 16:44[SPEAKER_04]: Virginia as the movie progresses, the craziness also does.
- 16:50[SPEAKER_04]: And in a way that you cannot buy it, I guess.
- 16:56[SPEAKER_04]: I felt the tension and that's difficult with this modern blockbusters to feel the tension.
- 17:03[SPEAKER_04]: And this one had tension, good tension, good horror even from beginning to end.
- 17:10[SPEAKER_04]: So, not good.
- 17:11[SPEAKER_04]: I know complaining.
- 17:12[SPEAKER_04]: It's one of the best summer releases.
- 17:17[SPEAKER_02]: Andrew, do you agree?
- 17:19[SPEAKER_02]: It's kind of heavy praise there.
- 17:22[SPEAKER_00]: That was safe to the most part.
- 17:25[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, it's definitely, I mean, the trailer, when the first day viewed, it was doing very well view wise.
- 17:37[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, it got to however many millions of views, a lot of people really excited about it.
- 17:43[SPEAKER_00]: I don't know if these were people that had seen the first film because twenty-eight days later wasn't available on a lot of home video or other platforms for a long time.
- 17:53[SPEAKER_00]: I mean it was really, really recently, ahead of this film.
- 17:59[SPEAKER_00]: And then there's twenty-eight weeks later.
- 18:00[SPEAKER_00]: So I'm not sure about the status of that in terms of your ship, but the depth was a lot of excitement.
- 18:10[SPEAKER_00]: And I think the film itself is a little different than maybe the trailer is kind of made it out to be.
- 18:16[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, there's stuff on the trailers that's in there, including the, uh, Roger Kippling poem, uh, and the scenes.
- 18:26[SPEAKER_00]: But I think the trailer made it out more sort of like a action thriller, you know, this is not bad.
- 18:34[SPEAKER_00]: This is a more of a family drama about people who are trying to survive and
- 18:40[SPEAKER_00]: I wouldn't call it a total apocalypse.
- 18:42[SPEAKER_00]: I don't know how much of this is spoilers.
- 18:44[SPEAKER_00]: If you haven't seen the other films.
- 18:49[SPEAKER_00]: But basically what's going on is just confined to Great Britain or rather, yeah, Great Britain.
- 18:58[SPEAKER_00]: I wouldn't say the UK in general because, you know, Northern Ireland wouldn't be impacted because that's a different island.
- 19:06[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, so basically it's great written, you know, England, Wales, Scotland, and most of what's going on takes place on this island that's kind of just up the coast of Scotland.
- 19:21[SPEAKER_00]: And the other thing too is that a lot of the name actors like Aaron Taylor Johnson, Jordie Comer, refined, yeah, the appear, but the main character is as to kid as,
- 19:37[SPEAKER_00]: I've found some mentioned.
- 19:39[SPEAKER_00]: So it's definitely a different.
- 19:41[SPEAKER_00]: And I also let it some filming choices because the infecties, you know, you expect them to not really wear clothes because, you know, the clothes would have gone worn off.
- 19:54[SPEAKER_00]: And there were certain rules about filming with someone underage.
- 19:58[SPEAKER_00]: So they had to kind of follow the rules.
- 20:03[SPEAKER_00]: That being said, I would say it was
- 20:07[SPEAKER_00]: Generally, a good apocalyptic drama.
- 20:13[SPEAKER_00]: Generally, and Jodie Comer, you kind of wondering what's going off her character won't say much about that, but if she is good in the film, and refined is good in, you know, those scenes where you see him.
- 20:29[SPEAKER_00]: Doesn't appear that much, but it's good.
- 20:31[SPEAKER_00]: There's also some other character appears briefly, who's from Sweden, so you get a sense of what's going on in the rest of the world.
- 20:38[SPEAKER_00]: And I think that has maybe a little bit of red calm there for this one piece of panfiction that I read that, you know, they didn't know what happened at the end of twenty eight weeks later.
- 20:46[SPEAKER_00]: Which brings me to what happens in twenty eight weeks later, if you've seen that film.
- 20:51[SPEAKER_00]: some of this may feel like a little bit of a redcon.
- 20:54[SPEAKER_00]: I won't go into details about that.
- 20:56[SPEAKER_00]: I'll just say that the technology and you do see clips from it.
- 21:01[SPEAKER_00]: But if you come into this from twenty eight weeks later, you're kind of like, you have a second film, you're kind of like, well, how come, and the technology, but it's kind of like, you know, they just want the story to be contained to where it is.
- 21:17[SPEAKER_00]: I guess that's Danny Boyle and Alex Garland's choices.
- 21:22[SPEAKER_00]: And the other thing is about that ending.
- 21:28[SPEAKER_00]: So generally I thought to film like it, but the ending was for a couple of reasons.
- 21:35[SPEAKER_00]: Tony is very, very different.
- 21:37[SPEAKER_00]: It's like you're watching various series, as I said, apocalyptic drama.
- 21:41[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, somewhat apocalyptic because it's just great written.
- 21:46[SPEAKER_00]: effected, but it's very serious in Poland, and then you get to the end, which feels like it's a very different movie, Tonly.
- 21:54[SPEAKER_00]: And there's also, without getting the spoilers, nods to a certain individual from the UK, real-life person.
- 22:03[SPEAKER_00]: And, you know, may not be as known outside the UK, but for better, or I'll say, for worse, talk about that, but I'm
- 22:14[SPEAKER_00]: You know, I went with a group of people here in the US and they had no idea what was going on.
- 22:18[SPEAKER_00]: Why are they wearing those outfits and what would stop at that?
- 22:22[SPEAKER_00]: And then they said, well, there's a beautiful new K and they're like, yeah, that's a choice.
- 22:28[SPEAKER_00]: So certainly controversial figure in the UK that's being alluded to.
- 22:32[SPEAKER_00]: I guess that'll be talked about more in the next film in the bone temple.
- 22:44[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I guess people are kind of wondering what was going on.
- 22:48[SPEAKER_00]: And yeah, now that I know it's sort of like, hmm, okay, that makes me go.
- 22:56[SPEAKER_00]: I won't say too much, again, because the spoilers, but I will say that these stories take place in an alternate universe, so that may have something to do with it.
- 23:08[SPEAKER_00]: And the idea is that
- 23:12[SPEAKER_00]: The point of divergence where divergence from our own reality is, you know, the real life year, and which the first movie came out, two thousand two.
- 23:19[SPEAKER_00]: So, you know, things took a turn in the cinematic universe and this cinematic universe of two thousand two, where this infection goes across the aisle of Great Britain.
- 23:32[SPEAKER_00]: And so,
- 23:35[SPEAKER_00]: The reason I'm mentioning that is because it takes place in an alternate universe that when you get to that ending it's sort of like certain things just kind of we're not necessarily known in two thousand two in the alternate version of two thousand two that they would have or are they alternate version of the presentation say
- 23:55[SPEAKER_00]: But yeah, again, I'm not going to go too much into that because of spoilers.
- 23:59[SPEAKER_00]: So the movie as a whole, I was pretty good.
- 24:03[SPEAKER_00]: I just even though it is a little differently from the trailer, but the ending is kind of like, you know, what's up with that.
- 24:11[SPEAKER_00]: So hopefully they explain what that is in the in the bow and temple, otherwise it feels like it belongs to a completely different film.
- 24:17[SPEAKER_00]: So
- 24:19[SPEAKER_03]: Hey, Richard, just give me a chance.
- 24:25[SPEAKER_03]: I enjoyed the movie overall.
- 24:28[SPEAKER_03]: The only thing that I wanted to add, as I mentioned to myself, after watching the movie, is that in a way, unfortunately, for this movie, it's, well, unfortunately.
- 24:44[SPEAKER_03]: It's coming in for in twenty five.
- 24:47[SPEAKER_03]: What I mean is that,
- 24:49[SPEAKER_03]: In the two thousands, it was fresh new idea to try to do zombie revival in movie theaters, and it was done very well.
- 25:05[SPEAKER_03]: I am, I don't like or a movie much, but I definitely am a big walking dead fan.
- 25:12[SPEAKER_03]: And when you release a movie like this after what?
- 25:19[SPEAKER_03]: two hundred plus a piece of the fucking dead plus a spin-ups and the spin-ups of the spin-ups and the spin-ups of the spin-ups.
- 25:28[SPEAKER_03]: It's hard for me personally to be afraid and to be scared by zombies anymore.
- 25:37[SPEAKER_03]: Or do I treat that to think, okay, I've seen situations a thousand times already when you are, I don't know, you are chased by zombies in a house, whatever.
- 25:47[SPEAKER_03]: So in a way, yes, it's nothing as a movie itself.
- 25:54[SPEAKER_03]: But unfortunately, I feel actually, but it's not, it's just one too many actually zombie thing in my opinion.
- 26:04[SPEAKER_03]: We have the last of us, which was an extraordinary success both on video games and on as a TV show.
- 26:13[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, the top culture,
- 26:16[SPEAKER_03]: moment for the zombies in my opinion is in the past and I don't know.
- 26:22[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
- 26:24[SPEAKER_03]: Now that being said, nothing to do with the movie itself.
- 26:27[SPEAKER_03]: The movie was indeed bread acting, great pacing and it looked at my watch and it was interesting.
- 26:35[SPEAKER_03]: I don't like the idea, but there's a need of a sequel and the trilogy, whatever, which is now everything needs a trilogy, apparently, even an horror movie, or especially horror movies.
- 26:47[SPEAKER_03]: But yeah, and about the last five minutes, yeah, I thought I was watching Power Rangers.
- 26:54[SPEAKER_03]: Oh, pointy, why do I say the movie will understand, but yeah.
- 26:58[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, actually, I didn't want to add that this does do something what the infected that
- 27:04[SPEAKER_00]: You know, it doesn't just have them be like we saw on the previous two films or they're just kind of mindless.
- 27:09[SPEAKER_00]: It does kind of show them evolving and showing their own little society.
- 27:14[SPEAKER_00]: I guess we want to call it that wherever your thoughts are on that, but it showed them.
- 27:21[SPEAKER_00]: evolving as more than just what they were in the previous two films or what you see in other types of zombie, you know, like walking dead or trying to pass on or something like that, you know, there's kind of a sense that there's a culture I guess that they have.
- 27:39[SPEAKER_00]: in their own way.
- 27:40[SPEAKER_00]: So, and that is kind of talked about it in the film.
- 27:45[SPEAKER_00]: So, maybe talk about it more in the next film.
- 27:49[SPEAKER_00]: I don't know, but that is something that maybe makes the stand out a little bit more than other things of this genre or sub-genre.
- 28:02[SPEAKER_02]: long-standing franchise that they've dug up.
- 28:05[SPEAKER_02]: Let's say it's an expeg, I guess summer release, I'll kick you off the big summer, which is a Jurassic World Rebirth.
- 28:14[SPEAKER_02]: So it's Scarlett Johansson, Marchala Ali and
- 28:21[SPEAKER_02]: There's a few other styles, quite populate.
- 28:23[SPEAKER_02]: Another visit to the Jurassic Park franchise.
- 28:29[SPEAKER_02]: And they did tend to do well, but let me see, it was Andrew and our funds are you both saw this in the cinema.
- 28:38[SPEAKER_02]: And is it quite possible?
- 28:41[SPEAKER_02]: It's directed by, I think, who was that thing?
- 28:48[SPEAKER_02]: Harold said, yeah.
- 28:51[SPEAKER_02]: Just some good experience with monsters and effects.
- 28:55[SPEAKER_02]: So, see, Andrew, what did you think of one of our fans?
- 28:59[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, fans are a superstar.
- 29:00[SPEAKER_02]: What did you think of Jurassic World Rebirth?
- 29:05[SPEAKER_02]: Let me give you a bit of the premise, not that I'm sure it needs explaining, but the premise is quite meta, actually.
- 29:14[SPEAKER_04]: Because it's about in this world,
- 29:18[SPEAKER_04]: The dinosaurs can just live in certain parts of the world.
- 29:24[SPEAKER_04]: And people have just like a little bit forgotten about them.
- 29:29[SPEAKER_04]: They're just like, oh, they are so in the past, like in the past, like the, they are not inflation anymore in our world.
- 29:40[SPEAKER_04]: Let's, we have forgotten about them.
- 29:43[SPEAKER_04]: They were everywhere and now we don't care about them.
- 29:46[SPEAKER_04]: So it's a little bit better about asking the audience, do you still care about this franchise?
- 29:51[SPEAKER_04]: We're going to try to study again in this and they study again by literally
- 29:57[SPEAKER_04]: killing them all.
- 30:00[SPEAKER_04]: But just a few of them that are in this kind of area in Latin America Central America where they can survive where this
- 30:14[SPEAKER_04]: because they have the right whatever conditions, whether like or temperature or whatever.
- 30:21[SPEAKER_04]: I don't know how to explain it, but I don't, I don't, I don't say it's very scientific because like this is something about the level of oxygen and I don't think more or less you have in everywhere in the air.
- 30:34[SPEAKER_04]: Anyway, the idea there, okay?
- 30:37[SPEAKER_04]: And now there's a big corporation
- 30:41[SPEAKER_04]: that higher mercenaries because they want to extract DNA from three big species that live in the water and the earth and they want to create some kind of
- 31:03[SPEAKER_04]: Let's say cure for coronary diseases.
- 31:10[SPEAKER_04]: This is of the heart, let's say.
- 31:13[SPEAKER_04]: And that would save a lot of lives.
- 31:17[SPEAKER_04]: So the thing gets assembled, and they go into this place, this kind of place in a very concrete island, where they have both, I mean, the three of those, all those three species.
- 31:33[SPEAKER_04]: which is an unremembered design, terodactyl, moso-saurus, and the other one that everyone is looking at in a Maysman in the first movie when they are in the car.
- 31:49[SPEAKER_04]: So, well, that's the premise.
- 31:52[SPEAKER_04]: They have to take blood from those three species to get the cure for coronary diseases.
- 32:01[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, kind of like, yeah, okay.
- 32:04[SPEAKER_04]: Okay, that's another thing.
- 32:05[SPEAKER_04]: It's an expedition that God has scarred your hands on there, that I'm Bailey, Marusalali, Rupert friend, it's queer, crying, crying, people.
- 32:18[SPEAKER_04]: And so the movie itself, I think it's placed it very safe, very safe.
- 32:27[SPEAKER_04]: Garth Edwards is a very good director for this kind of movie because he does this big, big, big backgrounds with monsters like no one else.
- 32:39[SPEAKER_04]: He can do this amazing landscapes and pictures like put it on film and just look amazing.
- 32:50[SPEAKER_04]: It's an adventure, like a matinee adventure film with lots of big dinosaurs appearing everywhere.
- 32:58[SPEAKER_04]: There's also a family involved, which I thought, kind of a steal the movie from the main characters.
- 33:05[SPEAKER_04]: If there's a main character, because they can't put the family that is there also, because they are quite unaware of the dangers of the area.
- 33:15[SPEAKER_04]: They kind of empathize with their story.
- 33:19[SPEAKER_04]: And to me, they have even the most tense sequel as a scene of the whole film.
- 33:27[SPEAKER_04]: That is their first scene, actually, in the film.
- 33:31[SPEAKER_04]: But yeah, so in general, not to be very long.
- 33:38[SPEAKER_04]: I enjoyed it.
- 33:41[SPEAKER_04]: for what it was because I liked the nose.
- 33:43[SPEAKER_04]: I liked people being in the year because of the nose.
- 33:48[SPEAKER_04]: I didn't mind some of the alterations to the things.
- 33:56[SPEAKER_04]: I thought that the sequences were good.
- 33:59[SPEAKER_04]: I just thought I would have preferred that.
- 34:02[SPEAKER_04]: I mean, I know that it's for all the audiences more or less.
- 34:04[SPEAKER_04]: But a little bit more of the danger.
- 34:06[SPEAKER_04]: Gidon, no exactly who's going to win, who's going to be eating or not or something or something happens that you don't expect.
- 34:13[SPEAKER_04]: Here is everything is played very safe, very like adventure for teams and kids even.
- 34:22[SPEAKER_02]: Okay, like straightforward.
- 34:25[SPEAKER_02]: Andrew, is that kind of like over familiar or did you find it's like promising that this franchise can actually be semi-reservated.
- 34:36[SPEAKER_02]: It does well on generally because it's come out.
- 34:40[SPEAKER_02]: Not that challenging, but I still can't.
- 34:42[SPEAKER_02]: What do you think, Andrew?
- 34:43[SPEAKER_00]: Well, I think at this point, it's just kind of doing more the basics of being in Ireland and running from dinosaurs or trying not to get into too many bad situations, either directly or indirectly because of the dinosaurs.
- 35:05[SPEAKER_00]: But I mean, it's certainly not like
- 35:09[SPEAKER_00]: I guess a PBS film, films try to do this whole world building thing and with the the locusts in the previous film and then this doesn't do anything about it's just basically they're going this island they're trying to get
- 35:24[SPEAKER_00]: DNA to, for this pharmaceutical company to, you know, as Alfonso was saying, and, you know, that's basically what, what happens is, you know, there's nothing complicated about, oh, conspiracy this or conspiracy that there's not as many
- 35:44[SPEAKER_00]: nods.
- 35:45[SPEAKER_00]: Two things.
- 35:45[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, there are nods.
- 35:46[SPEAKER_00]: There's references to Ingen, the company from the previous films, and you'll hear familiar names or places discussed, but overall it's a new group of characters.
- 35:59[SPEAKER_00]: It's kind of like
- 36:01[SPEAKER_00]: Like a soft reboot is an expression I think because it's not a reboot, a reboot, it's the same continuity as all the other films.
- 36:10[SPEAKER_00]: But new group of characters, new situations, it's just, you know, same continuity.
- 36:18[SPEAKER_00]: So, you don't have to be like, okay, we're starting all over the whole thing.
- 36:24[SPEAKER_00]: A lot of
- 36:28[SPEAKER_00]: reviews or things that people posted online or like complaining about the first set of hours saying was kind of slow.
- 36:34[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, I didn't think that was a case.
- 36:37[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, you know, they kind of set some story up and, you know, can't just be like dive right in.
- 36:44[SPEAKER_00]: So I wasn't bothered by the first half hour.
- 36:48[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, some people are like talking about, oh, which like, Garrett, I'd words,
- 36:57[SPEAKER_00]: I am really kind of like that.
- 36:59[SPEAKER_00]: I don't think it's like that really.
- 37:01[SPEAKER_00]: That being said, I'm not sure if it's necessarily the movie for me.
- 37:06[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, I get it something funnier or taning, but I kind of feel like I've pretty seen this.
- 37:12[SPEAKER_00]: So yeah, there's new characters, but you have the same kind of situation.
- 37:18[SPEAKER_00]: There's dinosaurs, there's peril, there's
- 37:24[SPEAKER_00]: good dinosaurs and bad dinosaurs, and there's a family, and you know, even the family gets in the danger, you know, and nothing too bad is going to happen to them because their family and address the park films and nothing too bad, you know, that's just the way it is.
- 37:40[SPEAKER_00]: You got to have danger, but not too dangerous, I guess.
- 37:46[SPEAKER_00]: And the other thing is that they have these new,
- 37:52[SPEAKER_00]: hybrid dinosaurs, I guess, or whatever you want to call them, because there's been a lot of DNA experimentation, cross-breeding with dinosaurs and other species.
- 38:00[SPEAKER_00]: So, I mean, it would be nice to have seen some more of those creatures, I guess, that is stored as, and muted down, or whatever they were called, the different cross-breeds.
- 38:18[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, it would be nice to have seen more of them, and it is something a little bit more unique.
- 38:23[SPEAKER_00]: I wish I had done more of the idea of that kind of exploitation and issues about pharmaceutical companies or what they can or can't get away with.
- 38:34[SPEAKER_00]: There's a lot more serious things being alluded to here, real-world issues, but I guess because people aren't really going to see this influence or they have to kind of just want to see.
- 38:45[SPEAKER_00]: You have a Dino action or Dino's or whatever, as you're saying.
- 38:53[SPEAKER_02]: I think it's, I guess, thanks back to chasing, running, eating dinosaurs, I guess, this must general summer, you know, to the kids, whatever.
- 39:07[SPEAKER_02]: So it doesn't go wrong with it.
- 39:10[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, as I'm challenging as it's kind of just,
- 39:13[SPEAKER_02]: does it's a little job, but you know, kind of thing as well.
- 39:16[SPEAKER_02]: So what's the interesting to see what the bubble office is coming?
- 39:19[SPEAKER_03]: I'm sure it'll be a lot of, you know, one.
- 39:21[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, staying well so far.
- 39:22[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, I think that's it.
- 39:23[SPEAKER_03]: I have a question for the free of you.
- 39:26[SPEAKER_03]: Just a question that comes to mind.
- 39:29[SPEAKER_03]: Maybe there's no answer, by the way.
- 39:31[SPEAKER_03]: What how do you explain that?
- 39:34[SPEAKER_03]: Yes, it is actually the apparently books of fixed success already that apparently it has
- 39:41[SPEAKER_03]: It is the best opening week of the year or something like that.
- 39:47[SPEAKER_03]: Had we excitedly, but there is apparently a super hero fatigue, I have a call it for Marvel DC.
- 39:56[SPEAKER_03]: So because there is so many super hero origin movies, et cetera, origin stories.
- 40:03[SPEAKER_03]: But the address is that the digital dinosaur movies have been around for now more than thirty years.
- 40:09[SPEAKER_03]: It's like quite seven for eight installments with that counting actually they were also animated TV shows and things like that.
- 40:17[SPEAKER_03]: How do you explain actually about the it is still successful?
- 40:20[SPEAKER_03]: Because even the terrible, terrible Jurassic World full and kingdom and Jurassic World Dominion, they were terrible movies.
- 40:27[SPEAKER_03]: They made a lot of money.
- 40:29[SPEAKER_03]: They made a lot of money.
- 40:31[SPEAKER_03]: So I have the time I did it.
- 40:33[SPEAKER_03]: Honestly, maybe it's just a rhetorical question because I just don't get it.
- 40:37[SPEAKER_03]: And the question is for the guys actually, it's not universal because is it universal?
- 40:42[SPEAKER_03]: I think that.
- 40:44[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, yeah, sometimes it's, but I'm not being ironic, by the way, I respect the work they do, but it's just that here, it's a mystery why some, I will say, IP or some genre of bloodbusters still work.
- 41:00[SPEAKER_03]: decades later and cylinders.
- 41:03[SPEAKER_00]: I think it has to do with the content and the high volume of content and I think in the case of MCU there was just a lot of bad content and just so much of it because of Disney plus that I think people just got inundated with it and the sense that they have to do all this homework to understand what was going on.
- 41:26[SPEAKER_00]: As far as the Jurassic, there's not really as much content.
- 41:30[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, you have the films and we have camp, crotaceous, but I mean, that's the main thing.
- 41:36[SPEAKER_00]: It's not really the sense of like, oh, you have to do all this homework to understand what's going on.
- 41:40[SPEAKER_00]: It's what it is.
- 41:41[SPEAKER_00]: It's people running from dinosaurs, basic.
- 41:44[SPEAKER_00]: You don't need to watch the theories of that series and make notes and all that.
- 41:49[SPEAKER_00]: It's what it is.
- 41:51[SPEAKER_00]: And the films are what they are.
- 41:53[SPEAKER_00]: They deliver.
- 41:55[SPEAKER_00]: For the most part, I mean, the previous film, maybe not as much, but I'd have the bonus, I guess, of having the original as human.
- 42:02[SPEAKER_00]: There's comebacks of that legacy SQL thing, but.
- 42:09[SPEAKER_00]: I think with, I was going to, without going to all these details about what works, what doesn't, I think if you just keep doing too many things that make people feel they have to do a lot of extra homework to understand something, it's going to be eternal.
- 42:24[SPEAKER_00]: So, yeah.
- 42:26[SPEAKER_04]: It was a thing that it's a good mix of genres.
- 42:31[SPEAKER_04]: I mean, it's, in a good mix of audiences.
- 42:35[SPEAKER_04]: because they can't have the kids.
- 42:39[SPEAKER_04]: For the other, the adults is also kind of exciting.
- 42:44[SPEAKER_04]: It has a little bit of horror in it, not too much.
- 42:50[SPEAKER_04]: It's about, you know, it gives you very big effects.
- 42:55[SPEAKER_04]: It works also as an adventure film.
- 43:01[SPEAKER_04]: I, you can play more with the horror here, with the adventure there, with the, it's usually populated also by like a whole human characters.
- 43:11[SPEAKER_04]: And there, as, as, and you said, there are not too many of them.
- 43:17[SPEAKER_04]: And once you,
- 43:20[SPEAKER_04]: Once you, even if you stretch it to like dominion style, like horribility, then it comes this one that is like, you can tell it's not as bad as the last one.
- 43:36[SPEAKER_04]: I still like the concept itself, and I still like the first one.
- 43:42[SPEAKER_04]: And to me, I even liked very much the first one with Chris Pratt.
- 43:49[SPEAKER_04]: So that many people didn't like as much, but I really liked that one.
- 43:56[SPEAKER_04]: So I don't know.
- 43:58[SPEAKER_04]: You just keep on thinking, this is going to be as good as the first one or the other or have.
- 44:05[SPEAKER_04]: And there are certain moments when you still feel the excitement or when in this one, when the John Williams team plays, they actually use it to the full stand of bringing you the emotion.
- 44:21[SPEAKER_04]: It's in the right moment.
- 44:24[SPEAKER_04]: It's a little bit in the recoil territory, because it's very similar to other how it is used in other films.
- 44:32[SPEAKER_04]: But it still works, because God at words does it very well in that way also to bring you the emotion of being amazed.
- 44:41[SPEAKER_04]: Oh my God, dinosaurs anyway.
- 44:46[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, I think that it's just basically just speaks the fact that they can be upon quite a universal picture as in a, you can put in any language.
- 44:55[SPEAKER_02]: You didn't even have to have the sound and all the same car, so it's just a very just basic hunting.
- 45:01[SPEAKER_02]: or been hunted, you know, predator prey kind of like experience that we all collectively have, I guess.
- 45:07[SPEAKER_02]: Whatever part of the world you are, is you an India, you an Africa, you an Europe, or wherever it's that kind of like very basic.
- 45:16[SPEAKER_02]: If it's done well, yeah, of course, if it's done well, it's, I think it's hard to not to do well.
- 45:22[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, if you're a lot of the audiences are kids and they just want to see,
- 45:27[SPEAKER_02]: a bit scared, a bit hunted, a bit animals and all that.
- 45:29[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, you can be natural from.
- 45:31[SPEAKER_02]: So yeah, I think it's the most simple is the more you just will not get that deep by it.
- 45:38[SPEAKER_04]: Actually in the movie, it says something like that.
- 45:40[SPEAKER_04]: It says they're the only, the character with the least backstory, which is, you know, the bellies.
- 45:47[SPEAKER_04]: at some point, he's like the scientist and says, I would say even the theme of the movie at some point, he says, dinosaurs are not so intelligent and because evolution has shown us that intelligence is
- 46:11[SPEAKER_04]: over hyped or it's not so important.
- 46:14[SPEAKER_04]: Everyone dies in the end, everyone gets extinct.
- 46:19[SPEAKER_04]: But time source are still here and we humans are so intelligent that we are basically exterminating ourselves in our planet.
- 46:31[SPEAKER_04]: So maybe something simple keeps on going and something very over-complicated doesn't.
- 46:41[SPEAKER_02]: Yes, I'm sure there'll be a drastic part.
- 46:43[SPEAKER_02]: Movies, far beyond when cinema's go extinct then there'll be a somewhere for the beer.
- 46:50[SPEAKER_02]: The movie house playing those films.
- 46:53[SPEAKER_02]: Anyway, next to a smaller film, I think Serrat, which is a drama.
- 47:00[SPEAKER_02]: I think a father and son go looking for a restaurant.
- 47:05[SPEAKER_02]: I think all the way missing.
- 47:08[SPEAKER_02]: After in a part of an area where there's a rave or kind of a party game, but it's kind of search as it's at our phones.
- 47:17[SPEAKER_02]: I'll just tell me a bit about it.
- 47:18[SPEAKER_02]: It seems quite heavy, dark, and matte, but I'm quite interesting.
- 47:21[SPEAKER_02]: There's a bit of a serrat, so that's premises, okay.
- 47:26[SPEAKER_04]: Hey, that's exactly the premise.
- 47:28[SPEAKER_04]: A father that goes with his son that is still a child, goes to Morocco to a raid because that's the last place where he knew that her daughter was at.
- 47:42[SPEAKER_04]: So he's there asking people if they have seen her.
- 47:48[SPEAKER_04]: And that's how the movie starts.
- 47:50[SPEAKER_04]: And then, well, there's some political unrest, some people fighting also in the country and so...
- 48:00[SPEAKER_04]: They want to be with other people that are going to their raves to another place of the country.
- 48:06[SPEAKER_04]: There is another party and he thinks that his daughter might be there or might have gone there.
- 48:13[SPEAKER_04]: So he has to tag along with these people that are going to this party, even though it's not very secure.
- 48:22[SPEAKER_04]: And so it's kind of a journey movie.
- 48:27[SPEAKER_04]: And it goes into unexpected places, certainly.
- 48:33[SPEAKER_04]: It won the jury prize at the camping festival.
- 48:38[SPEAKER_04]: And in here, it has been very divisive when it premiered in theaters.
- 48:48[SPEAKER_04]: Some people really were touched by it seems and what it happens, some others,
- 48:56[SPEAKER_04]: Didn't connect with the twists, I guess.
- 49:01[SPEAKER_04]: That happened in the film.
- 49:04[SPEAKER_04]: Because it's quite daring, I would say, that's a general.
- 49:07[SPEAKER_04]: I mean, there are also very good landscapes or backgrounds of views.
- 49:17[SPEAKER_04]: The music is electronic, like in the one of our right.
- 49:24[SPEAKER_04]: Uh, well, no, myself.
- 49:26[SPEAKER_04]: I was, well, I liked that it was something different.
- 49:32[SPEAKER_04]: And it was something to talk about after watching the film.
- 49:35[SPEAKER_04]: I appreciate having watched it.
- 49:38[SPEAKER_04]: I don't know, I don't know.
- 49:39[SPEAKER_04]: I don't want to be.
- 49:41[SPEAKER_04]: And I want to do any spoilers.
- 49:42[SPEAKER_04]: So that's, that's the thing.
- 49:44[SPEAKER_04]: Okay, do it for the catch.
- 49:46[SPEAKER_02]: Interesting.
- 49:48[SPEAKER_02]: Next.
- 49:50[SPEAKER_02]: Another sequel to a,
- 49:53[SPEAKER_02]: Alright, very popular.
- 49:56[SPEAKER_02]: We leave from the Bloomhouse studio for years ago.
- 49:58[SPEAKER_02]: It was Megan, which was a very kind of like click heavy online of this robotic, I guess, was the era of AI, I guess, which we all need.
- 50:13[SPEAKER_02]: Robert Companion, who came to the ownership of a family and theorized and kind of like a horror genre, this one.
- 50:20[SPEAKER_02]: So, very popular, very caught the
- 50:23[SPEAKER_02]: wave of popular culture.
- 50:25[SPEAKER_02]: And I'm very, very well written movie.
- 50:29[SPEAKER_02]: I think when you rewatch it.
- 50:31[SPEAKER_02]: So, of course, it was all go ahead for a sequel, which what could possibly go wrong.
- 50:39[SPEAKER_02]: I think they've, in this way, kind of catch up with the family and how being used by the military.
- 50:46[SPEAKER_02]: And so, this ALI seems to have been on
- 50:52[SPEAKER_02]: finding its creator and just maybe causing chaos around the world.
- 50:56[SPEAKER_02]: So they call upon to reactivate Megan or AI.
- 51:03[SPEAKER_02]: Very much terminated to territory with, I hear.
- 51:07[SPEAKER_02]: A shift in genre, Andrew, you saw this, I saw this.
- 51:14[SPEAKER_02]: I don't know if anyone else did, but I was expecting pleasantly some nice things, because the first movie was, was surprisingly well written.
- 51:22[SPEAKER_02]: What did you think of Megan two point zero?
- 51:26[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, see, this is one case where, I mean, whatever I thought of the movie, otherwise I will say that it's definitely one case where it jumped out that this is definitely better than I thought it was going to be because
- 51:43[SPEAKER_00]: In the case of something like we talked about earlier today, uh, twenty years later and how the trailers were really good and they would got people in.
- 51:52[SPEAKER_00]: The trailers for this did not look really good and it was weird because they show a lot of scenes in the trailer that are not in the movie.
- 52:03[SPEAKER_00]: And usually when you show scenes in the trailer that are in the movie, you think like, oh, some good scenes, but they took them out for whatever reason.
- 52:10[SPEAKER_00]: Here they show scenes that are not good.
- 52:13[SPEAKER_00]: And they put it in the trailer.
- 52:15[SPEAKER_00]: And they, it's like almost like they were trying to sabotage themselves.
- 52:20[SPEAKER_00]: Like this is seen in the trailer of a people who are like bands of Megan, I guess.
- 52:25[SPEAKER_00]: And you're like, oh, work, all that kind of stuff.
- 52:27[SPEAKER_00]: And that's probably not in the movie.
- 52:30[SPEAKER_00]: We'll borrow a scene where she's coming out of like some kind of packaging.
- 52:35[SPEAKER_00]: They get a jump on someone that doesn't really appear in the movie.
- 52:40[SPEAKER_00]: that going to details and then there's like a line then the trailer about oh hands off Katie or something like that and yeah that doesn't it's all this stuff it's like and like why are they doing this and I'm like it's like they're trying to make it more of a thing and I don't know if they're trying to make it a thing for Pride Month or
- 53:01[SPEAKER_00]: whatever, and in terms of marketing.
- 53:03[SPEAKER_00]: And it's like, oh yeah, they must have gotten the idea from the SNL sketch, which was called Megan to .no.
- 53:10[SPEAKER_00]: It was the episode with Aubrey Plaza.
- 53:13[SPEAKER_00]: And she and Chloe finding played a pair of Megan's, I guess, Allison Williams was also in that sketch.
- 53:21[SPEAKER_00]: But in terms of the movie itself, I thought, it was kind of all right.
- 53:27[SPEAKER_00]: I actually got to be honest.
- 53:28[SPEAKER_00]: I wasn't really that much of a fan.
- 53:31[SPEAKER_00]: Not the first movie.
- 53:32[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, the first movie.
- 53:34[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, it's all right.
- 53:35[SPEAKER_00]: I guess kind of can't be, but not really so much words more like a can't be something with some scary stuff.
- 53:45[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, yeah, yes, could see us or but this was what it was a sci-fi action thriller.
- 53:51[SPEAKER_00]: Very different genre wise and there's some kind of
- 53:57[SPEAKER_00]: twists and turns and story.
- 53:59[SPEAKER_00]: I won't get into what those arcs.
- 54:01[SPEAKER_00]: Obviously, that would be a spoilery thing.
- 54:03[SPEAKER_00]: But, and a lot of stuff about AI and find a regulator.
- 54:08[SPEAKER_00]: And that's what a big part of the movie vibes the plot is that after the events of the first movie, the previous film, Gemma, Allison Williams character is now focused on regulating AI so that stuff that
- 54:25[SPEAKER_00]: Like happened in the first movie doesn't happen again.
- 54:29[SPEAKER_00]: And that's kind of like everything.
- 54:31[SPEAKER_00]: And it's like her and this other guy, they're very involved in that.
- 54:39[SPEAKER_00]: And the same time she's trying to be a guardian for her niece, Katie.
- 54:46[SPEAKER_00]: And then you have the whole story about the rogue.
- 54:51[SPEAKER_00]: AI and these government people come to to Gemma thinking that she somehow behind it because it's using her technology from the first film.
- 55:08[SPEAKER_00]: And because you're wondering, there's like an off-hand scene that first movie that you don't think about the time where the assessment of the CEO starts leaking secrets out to like rival companies.
- 55:22[SPEAKER_00]: It's like a very brief scene, but not much has done with it in that movie in the first movie, but here it's kind of like a thing.
- 55:34[SPEAKER_00]: But they think like Gemma's behind it, they think Gemma is kind of involved in this rogue AI.
- 55:41[SPEAKER_00]: And so they're kind of like the government people are dealing with her, they're keeping tabs in her, so she has to deal with the government people.
- 55:47[SPEAKER_00]: And then Megan makes a reappearance in her own way and she has to deal with that.
- 55:55[SPEAKER_00]: And the rogue AI, and also this other character played by Dramaine Clement,
- 56:03[SPEAKER_00]: I wish I had seen more of them, but so there's a lot going on.
- 56:09[SPEAKER_00]: I just can't be the film.
- 56:12[SPEAKER_00]: I felt, can't be in its own way, but I think he's kind of like, it's not as off.
- 56:21[SPEAKER_00]: Maybe I guess the first film is sort of like, why are they making this?
- 56:24[SPEAKER_00]: Can't be here.
- 56:24[SPEAKER_00]: It's just like they're just going to fit.
- 56:26[SPEAKER_00]: But there's parts that are kind of like, okay, this is a sci-fi action thriller.
- 56:31[SPEAKER_00]: So it's not like,
- 56:33[SPEAKER_00]: trying to be horror or be scary.
- 56:36[SPEAKER_00]: Some parts could be maybe, maybe.
- 56:40[SPEAKER_00]: But I would say, yeah, I think that's really what jumped out of me is definitely better than I thought it was going to be, but I totally recommend it.
- 56:50[SPEAKER_00]: But it's definitely like, I just can't get how bad the marketing was because the movie isn't like that terrible by itself.
- 56:59[SPEAKER_00]: And it's like there's showing scenes as I said that aren't even the movie.
- 57:03[SPEAKER_00]: Do they not want people?
- 57:04[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, if they didn't want people to see the movie, mission accomplished, you know, that they think they did that way.
- 57:10[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 57:11[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, it just seemed like a film that really does want to like really cash in and make this a
- 57:16[SPEAKER_02]: a bigger icon, or almost like a hero, a... you're most shifting to superhero territory, or spy, espionage territory, like mission impossible, and for you different kind of like, you know, it's a shift away from, hey, it's like horror, psycho, fellow, which was, you know, which brim mouse does well,
- 57:37[SPEAKER_02]: and we've in the back end of AI and we're that's going in the companionship and all that.
- 57:41[SPEAKER_02]: Interesting topic and here it is just go out and some I let's make it a big summer franchise which is desperate to make it and I mean it's fun it's nice but it's not a smartly written a toy it's all kind of I hope definitely took a back seat here to make it a camera I like I can be
- 57:59[SPEAKER_02]: funny action movie and nothing wrong with that I mean like yeah like I said till next to this is where definitely it's basically the plot of that where a good AI and a bad AI or a protective one and a more you know intrusive one
- 58:15[SPEAKER_02]: I don't know, it didn't catch fire unfortunately, it did not actually take off, but I can see why they were rolling the dice on this.
- 58:22[SPEAKER_02]: So it's difficult to tell, but I think this is that stick to what it was, maybe a horror one, but I mean it's I think it's a likable premise, the movie is not bad, but it is definitely more
- 58:35[SPEAKER_02]: can't be comedy at the time.
- 58:37[SPEAKER_02]: It's just maybe the gear.
- 58:38[SPEAKER_02]: It's not as scary.
- 58:39[SPEAKER_02]: So it's nothing as fearful.
- 58:41[SPEAKER_02]: And not as grounded enough as the first movie.
- 58:44[SPEAKER_02]: So maybe this is maybe a why, you know, and maybe doesn't know what his market is.
- 58:50[SPEAKER_02]: Well, definitely.
- 58:52[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, definitely.
- 58:53[SPEAKER_00]: Well, whatever they were doing in terms of marketing, that wasn't quite it.
- 58:56[SPEAKER_00]: It's like, I said they were trying to make it more of a thing.
- 58:58[SPEAKER_00]: Like, I don't know if I'm not going to go too much in this, but someone said somewhere that they're trying to make her into like a gay icon.
- 59:07[SPEAKER_00]: I don't know.
- 59:09[SPEAKER_00]: If that's the thing, maybe it is, I don't know.
- 59:12[SPEAKER_00]: And being a least-ering pride month, that's one of the reasons why they released it in June.
- 59:16[SPEAKER_02]: But first of all, it was a wide net for marketing.
- 59:20[SPEAKER_02]: I think, let's just see what demographic really gives us like that boost.
- 59:24[SPEAKER_02]: You know, it's like, you know, who knows?
- 59:27[SPEAKER_02]: You know, ironically, they find maybe a making free, on a lower budget, maybe I wouldn't stop them, I'm thinking that.
- 59:35[SPEAKER_02]: This is a little spinoff.
- 59:37[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, or something, possibly.
- 59:38[SPEAKER_00]: No, no, they've already filmed the spin-off.
- 59:41[SPEAKER_02]: This would be filmed this spin-off.
- 59:42[SPEAKER_00]: It's coming out early next year or so.
- 59:44[SPEAKER_02]: I don't know what's going on in the on-store.
- 59:46[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, no.
- 59:48[SPEAKER_00]: Salt made it's supposed to be more of like a radic thriller or something.
- 59:53[SPEAKER_00]: So that's filmed.
- 59:55[SPEAKER_00]: I guess it's going to be in cinema, it's not streaming, but we'll see.
- 59:58[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, I'll see.
- 59:59[SPEAKER_02]: It's not terrible.
- 1:00:00[SPEAKER_02]: It's just that it is what it is, I guess.
- 1:00:05[SPEAKER_02]: Well,
- 1:00:06[SPEAKER_02]: Speaking next another maybe rebooted or rebooted but more a continuation of a legacy or a game in the world of
- 1:00:16[SPEAKER_02]: AI robotics is from Marvel TV series.
- 1:00:21[SPEAKER_02]: I'd very long just stating projects, I and Hart, from Marvel Studios, which is a TV show, a very much aged mini series that is really pushed out into the hunched chunks, really.
- 1:00:36[SPEAKER_02]: I and Hart follows, I think, AI,
- 1:00:42[SPEAKER_02]: graduate genius, which I think I alluded to in the Black Panther movies.
- 1:00:46[SPEAKER_02]: I think the second one over.
- 1:00:47[SPEAKER_02]: See, we read, we looms all so far, it's a more of a street kid who talented with robotics, who's kind of a graduate student and taking, you know, maybe a bit of the stark legacy of, you know, building suits and so forth.
- 1:01:06[SPEAKER_02]: But she finds having a different neck of the woods with her background and
- 1:01:10[SPEAKER_02]: He can't accept what's nonsense.
- 1:01:11[SPEAKER_02]: And how she finds, how she is navigating her way with these talents and technology and how to make money.
- 1:01:23[SPEAKER_02]: Obviously, it was important to her, but it's a, yes, well, I don't see.
- 1:01:28[SPEAKER_02]: It was Richard, our friends, my self sort of.
- 1:01:31[SPEAKER_02]: But Richard, do you saw, you made it through all six episodes?
- 1:01:38[SPEAKER_02]: a lot of online saying it's terrible not by it's well put I think hard as well put together what do you think Richard of?
- 1:01:45[SPEAKER_03]: I just had what is your question English?
- 1:01:48[SPEAKER_03]: I had an AP funny.
- 1:01:50[SPEAKER_03]: I think it's funny.
- 1:01:54[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, I'm not kidding.
- 1:01:56[SPEAKER_03]: What are you thinking I just realized something about I own arts but they were theorized for last week.
- 1:02:04[SPEAKER_03]: I own arts is
- 1:02:06[SPEAKER_03]: the accolades of the MCU.
- 1:02:10[SPEAKER_03]: This is interesting, and I'm not even kidding because I've not just realized that so many things in common and fortunately for this TV show, there's so many things in common.
- 1:02:19[SPEAKER_03]: So yeah, you will see what where I'm getting at.
- 1:02:22[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, I love to see unpack that.
- 1:02:24[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 1:02:25[SPEAKER_02]: So yeah.
- 1:02:26[SPEAKER_03]: Why I'm saying that?
- 1:02:27[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
- 1:02:28[SPEAKER_03]: Well, at the beginning of the movie, the TV show is in MIT, so pretty smart, obviously.
- 1:02:36[SPEAKER_03]: at nature, I don't know, fourteen, fifteen, sixteen is also something like that.
- 1:02:40[SPEAKER_03]: And like she wasn't introduced already, I just said back into two, she managed somehow because she's very smart to recreate another version of the Iron Man suit for herself.
- 1:02:56[SPEAKER_03]: And in this TV show, we can see a backstory, a bag of
- 1:03:04[SPEAKER_03]: faced some tough moments in a life, losing, especially, losing during a shooting.
- 1:03:13[SPEAKER_03]: She lost actually her best friends and what step dad or dad.
- 1:03:18[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, step dad gets shot in a drive by now.
- 1:03:21[SPEAKER_03]: That's probably especially the best friend thing.
- 1:03:23[SPEAKER_03]: But actually, after that, but anyway, and yeah, in a way, the movie has about her is about two things about
- 1:03:35[SPEAKER_03]: using her intelligence, her brains are good of a bad, and also trying to, yeah, try to accept the death of her best, especially, because the best friends, I don't know if we can't talk about all spoilers, right?
- 1:03:58[SPEAKER_03]: We don't care.
- 1:03:58[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, let's go.
- 1:03:59[SPEAKER_03]: Okay.
- 1:04:02[SPEAKER_03]: I didn't get that, I don't understand that part of the issue to be honest.
- 1:04:05[SPEAKER_03]: But somehow, somehow, she connects the suit to her brain and by doing so.
- 1:04:15[SPEAKER_03]: She creates an holographic version of her best friends.
- 1:04:19[SPEAKER_02]: Yes, an AI version.
- 1:04:20[SPEAKER_02]: I think it just she she falls asleep and inadvertently and it stands so quickly I remember she is a genius So you want to get it.
- 1:04:30[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, you want to understand it anyway But yeah, but that's actually the best part of the TV show to be fair the the relationship between the two and not actually by the way To be fair the acting is pretty good overall
- 1:04:46[SPEAKER_03]: The two girls, the bad guy, who is trying to recruit her to do bad things with the suits, which is kind of doing things.
- 1:04:54[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, I don't know.
- 1:04:56[SPEAKER_03]: You can use ice.
- 1:04:57[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, I was in a high spot.
- 1:04:59[SPEAKER_03]: Actually, you can see that he has his own agenda.
- 1:05:01[SPEAKER_03]: So the issue is, honestly, you get invested in it in my opinion quite quickly.
- 1:05:09[SPEAKER_03]: I'm not kidding.
- 1:05:10[SPEAKER_03]: It was nice surprise because of this story.
- 1:05:13[SPEAKER_03]: But while I was watching it, I was thinking,
- 1:05:15[SPEAKER_03]: I kind of don't care, but it is connected to the MCU.
- 1:05:18[SPEAKER_03]: Because it could have been honestly forget about the truth, forget about Iron Man, forget about Black Panther, forget that everything that is connected to comic stuff, there is a good visual here about a kid who is very smart from a difficult neighborhood and who is actually, again, has lost someone very important in a life and now for some reason,
- 1:05:43[SPEAKER_03]: She has to face the face of this person every day.
- 1:05:47[SPEAKER_03]: So it's even more difficult to accept the death than they were actually interesting topics in B-show.
- 1:05:54[SPEAKER_03]: And I don't see why it needed to be a MCU stuff.
- 1:05:57[SPEAKER_03]: But anyway, if it wasn't the MCU stuff, it wouldn't have been better.
- 1:06:01[SPEAKER_03]: And now about the aquelites stuff.
- 1:06:05[SPEAKER_03]: And I would end on this.
- 1:06:07[SPEAKER_03]: Like I collide, like most of the TV shows on this level, especially I talk about that.
- 1:06:13[SPEAKER_03]: You have six episodes.
- 1:06:16[SPEAKER_03]: Five of them are a story about this girl and nothing to do with MC, et cetera.
- 1:06:22[SPEAKER_03]: And you say, OK, decent.
- 1:06:24[SPEAKER_03]: And then you have one final episode.
- 1:06:28[SPEAKER_03]: When you have some kind of huge reveal, huge reveal for the MCU.
- 1:06:34[SPEAKER_03]: And you wouldn't expect it would be in a TV show like this, but nobody will watch.
- 1:06:40[SPEAKER_03]: And you say,
- 1:06:41[SPEAKER_03]: Okay, but guys, did you know when you were doing be sure that there would not be a second season, but you will actually be in your own grave?
- 1:06:48[SPEAKER_03]: Because again, what is the guy who planned these things?
- 1:06:51[SPEAKER_03]: Why do you introduce such an important character in the city show what he's already dead?
- 1:06:57[SPEAKER_03]: And no pun intended, talking about dead.
- 1:06:59[SPEAKER_03]: The character I'm talking about, all spoilers, I'm totally yours, whatever.
- 1:07:05[SPEAKER_03]: So is MFB still?
- 1:07:07[SPEAKER_03]: If he's still has been mentioned several times in BMC for the last five years, already in the Vanta vision, already in Agatha, Agnes, whatever the name of the TV show was, and he's kind of a very big hidden in the Marvel Comics.
- 1:07:28[SPEAKER_03]: Obviously, because of his name, Mephisto Piles, et cetera, he's kind of the Saturn, Saturn, or Lüftifur of the MCU.
- 1:07:35[SPEAKER_03]: And the episode when it introduced, that's why I'm telling you Jason, it's worth watching with six episodes only.
- 1:07:41[SPEAKER_03]: Don't watch with the reviewers.
- 1:07:41[SPEAKER_03]: Well, I did the opposite.
- 1:07:43[SPEAKER_02]: I got up to episode five.
- 1:07:43[SPEAKER_02]: I got up to episode six.
- 1:07:44[SPEAKER_02]: I did the same thing.
- 1:07:45[SPEAKER_02]: I did the same thing.
- 1:07:46[SPEAKER_02]: I did the same thing.
- 1:07:46[SPEAKER_02]: I did the same thing.
- 1:07:46[SPEAKER_02]: I did the same thing.
- 1:07:47[SPEAKER_02]: I did the same thing.
- 1:07:47[SPEAKER_03]: I did the same thing.
- 1:07:48[SPEAKER_03]: I did the same thing.
- 1:07:49[SPEAKER_03]: I did the same thing.
- 1:07:49[SPEAKER_03]: I did the same thing.
- 1:07:50[SPEAKER_03]: I did the same thing.
- 1:07:51[SPEAKER_03]: I did the same thing.
- 1:07:52[SPEAKER_03]: I did the same thing.
- 1:07:53[SPEAKER_03]: I did the same thing.
- 1:07:54[SPEAKER_03]: I did the same thing.
- 1:07:56[SPEAKER_03]: I did the same thing.
- 1:07:56[SPEAKER_03]: I did the same thing.
- 1:07:57[SPEAKER_03]: I did the same thing.
- 1:07:58[SPEAKER_03]: I did the same thing.
- 1:08:01[SPEAKER_03]: Sasha Baron Cohen was playing with his two before the release of Iron Arts.
- 1:08:07[SPEAKER_03]: It has a good job Sasha Baron Cohen at what he does.
- 1:08:12[SPEAKER_03]: It's like very like, you know, thousands.
- 1:08:18[SPEAKER_03]: You know, the good from good, in such a good idea, like you have to deal with the devil, etc.
- 1:08:26[SPEAKER_03]: You have to make the deal with the devil to get something that you really want, and your soul is given to the devil, etc.
- 1:08:32[SPEAKER_03]: This is the whole episode six, and it has consequences for the future.
- 1:08:36[SPEAKER_03]: A lot of consequences, I wouldn't say more about the future of MCU.
- 1:08:43[SPEAKER_03]: And again, I'm surprised why do it choose to use iron hearts
- 1:08:47[SPEAKER_03]: as the stepping moments, stepping stone, who I treat to, however, made me so introduced.
- 1:08:55[SPEAKER_03]: I saw weird.
- 1:08:56[SPEAKER_03]: And yet, quite the same with that playlist.
- 1:08:58[SPEAKER_03]: That's why I was in my comparison with anyone else.
- 1:08:59[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, I see.
- 1:09:01[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, for the show itself leading up to that, I think it's got a lot of going for it.
- 1:09:06[SPEAKER_02]: And it's strength.
- 1:09:08[SPEAKER_02]: actually is because it is so removed from any other of the MCU, the bigger advantage.
- 1:09:15[SPEAKER_02]: It has its, it's very well produced some nice music choices, very well shot.
- 1:09:20[SPEAKER_02]: It's almost like semi film as in the energy and the production value.
- 1:09:25[SPEAKER_02]: So you're thinking, yeah, and you don't want to be like, you mentioned with like Jurassic, well, you can just watch this on his own.
- 1:09:32[SPEAKER_02]: I don't, you know, you know, to be like,
- 1:09:34[SPEAKER_02]: burden with the home of who's this, who's that, who's whatever, he doesn't really matter.
- 1:09:39[SPEAKER_02]: So it makes it a bit more palatable and just enjoy more for what it is.
- 1:09:42[SPEAKER_02]: It is well put together, performances are a pretty good, you know, even though they're writing, you wouldn't want it, but, and it moves out quite good enough pace.
- 1:09:53[SPEAKER_02]: But it's, yeah, I'm not sure this is going to be really picked up in any kind of weather.
- 1:10:00[SPEAKER_02]: second season because this is kind of like maybe there's a perception that it's missed it's, you know, window of, you know, relevancy of who knows.
- 1:10:11[SPEAKER_02]: Afonzo, did you enjoy Iron Heart as much as maybe we've just discussed or you think you can see why this is my bestless forgotten.
- 1:10:23[SPEAKER_04]: Just a richer, more or less.
- 1:10:26[SPEAKER_04]: I enjoyed it more in the later episodes, but I don't know if that's because I enjoy more the themes of, I mean, the, how can I say it?
- 1:10:44[SPEAKER_04]: Also the cat, the, the, I, um,
- 1:10:49[SPEAKER_04]: I don't know, I don't know, because those Anthony Ramos plus Sachabaron Cohen plus Alden Rish, I don't know if it says how to say it.
- 1:11:04[SPEAKER_04]: And all of them are doing interesting stuff sometimes funny, sometimes a little bit, I don't know, like menacing.
- 1:11:17[SPEAKER_04]: I guess the premise of a girl who is very intelligent and construct robots that she uses as armor is not something that is meant for me as a viewer, but once you start having all the other components and something that I didn't expect.
- 1:11:45[SPEAKER_04]: which was spoiler again, but magic in the NCU which is almost more important than having a fisto itself, but yeah, it's more the same thing.
- 1:11:59[SPEAKER_04]: But magic, you're telling me that a series that starts with MIT and a girl.
- 1:12:08[SPEAKER_04]: So I hope he has robots.
- 1:12:11[SPEAKER_04]: And with that saying girl having to add magic to the robot,
- 1:12:18[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, it's a very interesting series.
- 1:12:21[SPEAKER_04]: I mean, you don't, you don't never would never expect that this kind of agatha all along kind of think.
- 1:12:33[SPEAKER_04]: test, it has a spreader to the two other theories.
- 1:12:37[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, it's quite a hybrid.
- 1:12:38[SPEAKER_02]: Quite a hybrid of a scissors.
- 1:12:39[SPEAKER_02]: You wouldn't, I know exists already in the Marvel.
- 1:12:41[SPEAKER_02]: We know it does.
- 1:12:42[SPEAKER_02]: You're kind of like your magic and your science and your action and all this kind of thing.
- 1:12:47[SPEAKER_02]: But yeah, to have them together because obviously they do exist in the Marvelous skin.
- 1:12:51[SPEAKER_02]: It makes it more oddly fresh.
- 1:12:54[SPEAKER_02]: That is like it's this left field kind of like
- 1:12:57[SPEAKER_02]: contention, you know, only dealing with science, all that, but it is magic.
- 1:13:03[SPEAKER_02]: It makes it fun.
- 1:13:04[SPEAKER_02]: It makes it proper there, you know?
- 1:13:06[SPEAKER_04]: It makes it more fun to me.
- 1:13:08[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, not just because big robots just like the dumb seemed very exciting to me, but they were the little bit of magic and
- 1:13:21[SPEAKER_04]: Sasabaon Cohen, which I don't really connect with as an actor, but this time, I thought he was, because I always think that I never, I never really, I think that his pranks are had been a little bit too much, and to see him as the body of the series, it's just fitting to me.
- 1:13:40[SPEAKER_04]: Okay.
- 1:13:42[SPEAKER_02]: Um, yeah, but uh, yeah.
- 1:13:44[SPEAKER_02]: Okay, I mean, yeah, if you catch it, I mean, they just released in big chunks last weekend for yourselves and another,
- 1:13:51[SPEAKER_02]: The other has just reached in this week.
- 1:13:52[SPEAKER_03]: So it's not sad because you can see that they don't believe in their own problems.
- 1:13:57[SPEAKER_02]: I think in retrospect now, I think beginning when it was made, I think they did.
- 1:14:02[SPEAKER_02]: And now it's kind of like, like I said, they kind of judging by the mood of the crowd where they were there.
- 1:14:08[SPEAKER_02]: And I love the online and what's happening, they kind of like, let's test that they use it as a test of the mood more so than they used to.
- 1:14:15[SPEAKER_02]: I think it's very important now.
- 1:14:18[SPEAKER_02]: Um, you know, social demographics, points, clicks, what they view where the shift of opinion is or audience.
- 1:14:27[SPEAKER_02]: Trying to second guess where your audience is coming from or what's coming here.
- 1:14:31[SPEAKER_02]: I guess it's a nightmare for any executive.
- 1:14:33[SPEAKER_02]: So, um, I think that's what they go by and I think Marvel is going to be going into a very interesting period.
- 1:14:40[SPEAKER_02]: I think in the next few months now, let's see whether
- 1:14:44[SPEAKER_02]: Fantastic four film calms and maybe what Nick see what happens.
- 1:14:47[SPEAKER_02]: I'd be interesting time to read to see what more of as a brand happens.
- 1:14:54[SPEAKER_02]: But I think maybe he does need a bit more of this very interesting smaller high bridge and see what works.
- 1:15:00[SPEAKER_02]: I need to own merit.
- 1:15:01[SPEAKER_02]: I think that's where he needs to live.
- 1:15:02[SPEAKER_02]: But anyway, that was iron hearts.
- 1:15:06[SPEAKER_02]: Catch it if you can.
- 1:15:08[SPEAKER_02]: Um, next big cinema adventure with Brad Pitt in the world of F-One Racing.
- 1:15:15[SPEAKER_02]: That's F-One the movie.
- 1:15:17[SPEAKER_02]: Um, I'll reach it.
- 1:15:19[SPEAKER_02]: You saw this.
- 1:15:21[SPEAKER_02]: It seemed quite a big lot of hype.
- 1:15:23[SPEAKER_02]: Had that during the summer to this.
- 1:15:25[SPEAKER_02]: So is it as good as the, as it promises to be a big star?
- 1:15:32[SPEAKER_02]: Big, big sporting action movie.
- 1:15:35[SPEAKER_02]: Absolutely.
- 1:15:36[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
- 1:15:37[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
- 1:15:38[SPEAKER_03]: huge marketing campaign.
- 1:15:39[SPEAKER_03]: I don't know for UK, US and Spain, but in France, the marketing campaign was pretty big to be honest with me.
- 1:15:48[SPEAKER_03]: I mean, seriously big, I mean, Brad Pitt or, yeah, you, it probably literally was in different, it was in two different TV news channel in the last few days before the release in France and talking about everyone.
- 1:16:08[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, and the poster is everywhere.
- 1:16:10[SPEAKER_03]: It was a strong campaign.
- 1:16:13[SPEAKER_03]: Well, the good thing about we were trying to, like F-One, the movie.
- 1:16:18[SPEAKER_03]: You know what you expect.
- 1:16:21[SPEAKER_03]: Well, it was also marketed as the top-gun maverick of F-One or something like that.
- 1:16:28[SPEAKER_03]: We would compare it.
- 1:16:29[SPEAKER_03]: Why?
- 1:16:30[SPEAKER_03]: Because I think it's, well, I know it is a cell director, but also I'm guessing also perhaps the crew of
- 1:16:36[SPEAKER_03]: Joseph, because in his work with on best movie, and obviously Brad Pitt is also super star like Tom Cruise, I guess I don't know.
- 1:16:46[SPEAKER_03]: That's why I'm guessing by comparing it.
- 1:16:49[SPEAKER_03]: First of all, is as good as Tom Cruise Maverick, in my opinion, but doesn't mean that it's not a good entertainment.
- 1:16:56[SPEAKER_03]: And that's the thing.
- 1:16:58[SPEAKER_03]: That Tom Cruise Maverick managed to be an extremely well done movie, visually great cinematic experience.
- 1:17:10[SPEAKER_03]: But it also has a heart somehow.
- 1:17:14[SPEAKER_03]: This one, that's not so much.
- 1:17:16[SPEAKER_03]: I mean, I'm guessing if you are a fan of Formula One, you wouldn't enjoy it.
- 1:17:21[SPEAKER_03]: But even if you're not Formula One, if you just want to have a blast and you want to have a big spring experience and literally the inside the cockpit of Formula One,
- 1:17:38[SPEAKER_03]: almost feel like a f-one driver most of the time, then go watch this movie because it is connected very well done.
- 1:17:47[SPEAKER_03]: So yeah, the action scenes are extremely well produced, etc.
- 1:17:53[SPEAKER_03]: Fortunately, we are here, but they last like ten, fifteen minutes, and then you have to suffer another
- 1:18:02[SPEAKER_03]: cliche dialogue between bread dates and avocado, what you have seen a thousand times.
- 1:18:07[SPEAKER_03]: But the story of the movie is terrible.
- 1:18:10[SPEAKER_03]: I mean, not terrible, but it's just that you can see that it's been written by your guy who have seen all the movies in the world and say, okay, I'm going to do like a mix of all the things that we have seen in the last hundred years of movies.
- 1:18:25[SPEAKER_03]: Some in our family, even kidding, this is a story of the movie.
- 1:18:30[SPEAKER_03]: So yeah, this F-One team, but I've hardly exist.
- 1:18:32[SPEAKER_03]: I didn't follow much F-One B-C as I followed when I was a kid.
- 1:18:36[SPEAKER_03]: This F-One team is not getting any points.
- 1:18:41[SPEAKER_03]: It's almost close to bankruptcy or whatever.
- 1:18:45[SPEAKER_03]: And try to find a solution.
- 1:18:49[SPEAKER_03]: And the owner of this F-One team goes to see old friend of this.
- 1:18:54[SPEAKER_03]: We used to be an F-One driver back in the eighties, eighties, eighties, played by bad bits.
- 1:19:00[SPEAKER_03]: who actually had an accident, you know, very difficult times back in the day, yes, an accident, you could have become a superstar, like Sena or whatever, but yet an accident, early nineties, decided to not to drive a F one ever again, but in a very, very original scene is been convinced to try again, to actually
- 1:19:21[SPEAKER_03]: Save is friends career and trying to be the mentor of the young kids who thinks that actually is better than you or really is.
- 1:19:29[SPEAKER_03]: So because the mentor of this kid with twenty years old and yeah, I mean, obviously it's kind of hilarious.
- 1:19:37[SPEAKER_03]: Some of the things are quite hilarious.
- 1:19:39[SPEAKER_03]: That couple of times where they think that they have no hope whatsoever, but actually by bigger
- 1:19:47[SPEAKER_03]: you're going to lose all the money and the big enough to actually to think as a deeply abacrucated, try and say, what are we going to do?
- 1:19:54[SPEAKER_03]: And then there is some kind of music, I'm not even kidding, there is a music, when the camera turns and you have great bits arriving, walking towards the stands and towards actually the pits and looking for a say,
- 1:20:10[SPEAKER_03]: I heard that you're looking for a driver or something kind of thing.
- 1:20:12[SPEAKER_03]: What is going on?
- 1:20:13[SPEAKER_03]: It is an awful spotty.
- 1:20:15[SPEAKER_03]: And maybe we're actually laughing in the crowd because it is bad pits, but it's selling the world.
- 1:20:20[SPEAKER_03]: It's kind of funny.
- 1:20:22[SPEAKER_03]: Now, again, if you look at this movie and I said, you don't take it seriously, it's seen.
- 1:20:28[SPEAKER_03]: You will have a great time.
- 1:20:30[SPEAKER_03]: Again,
- 1:20:31[SPEAKER_03]: We used to have hours in the half and I didn't look at my watch.
- 1:20:34[SPEAKER_03]: I know I always say that best to eat.
- 1:20:35[SPEAKER_03]: I don't like my watch is a good sign.
- 1:20:36[SPEAKER_03]: So that I able to get out of the week later, but wasn't the case.
- 1:20:41[SPEAKER_03]: As a transaction since are really good.
- 1:20:45[SPEAKER_03]: And yeah, and I think that's not, I think I'm sure of it.
- 1:20:49[SPEAKER_03]: The producers, a lot of producers of this movie are actually F-One Drivers.
- 1:20:54[SPEAKER_03]: Let me tell you one of the producers of the movie.
- 1:20:57[SPEAKER_03]: Max Best Apple is a producer that I've came in the movie.
- 1:21:01[SPEAKER_03]: They are worth millions of millions of dollars, hundreds of millions of dollars, these guys are not surprised.
- 1:21:07[SPEAKER_03]: And I'm guessing that maybe the FIA, which is the annual federal administration of Formula One, probably is behind also a bit, I did some sponsoring to push people to go back to F-One, and it worked because I used to be a big fan of that one and I gave up on watching these things.
- 1:21:29[SPEAKER_03]: Now I want to watch again.
- 1:21:31[SPEAKER_03]: So I'm guessing that in a way, I'm guessing these kind of movie sports as a double goal.
- 1:21:37[SPEAKER_03]: Kind of like video game movies, like Minecraft, et cetera, or whatever.
- 1:21:42[SPEAKER_03]: Well, they have a successful initiator.
- 1:21:44[SPEAKER_03]: I'm seeing they hope, but they will also have people buying the video games and hearing like about it.
- 1:21:50[SPEAKER_03]: So I'm guessing that it does a double good effect sign.
- 1:21:52[UNKNOWN]: OK.
- 1:21:54[SPEAKER_02]: Okay.
- 1:21:54[SPEAKER_02]: Okay.
- 1:21:54[SPEAKER_02]: Well, you got your back wanting to get into the central driving seat again of you know, sport and games.
- 1:22:02[SPEAKER_02]: Well, let's put it anyway.
- 1:22:03[SPEAKER_02]: And watching the sport, which is good.
- 1:22:05[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, sounds like an advert, like a one big, yeah, an advert.
- 1:22:09[SPEAKER_03]: That's what I mean, well, I'm guessing it's an advert for a phone.
- 1:22:11[SPEAKER_03]: It's a really good advert.
- 1:22:13[SPEAKER_02]: Okay.
- 1:22:13[SPEAKER_02]: Well, I think it's that you said it's doing well.
- 1:22:17[SPEAKER_02]: I think.
- 1:22:17[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, very well.
- 1:22:18[SPEAKER_02]: I think it would.
- 1:22:18[SPEAKER_02]: So, yeah, it's one of those.
- 1:22:20[SPEAKER_02]: things you can't predict now but more kind of like very safe beds and so forth but okay yeah alright that's good well next I think I will say we're rich it because uh another big popular
- 1:22:35[SPEAKER_02]: Yes, franchise, I suppose, but even it's only, but just by the name alone, everyone global event and that was a you're watching Squid Game Season Free.
- 1:22:45[SPEAKER_02]: And now you had season two in the year.
- 1:22:47[SPEAKER_02]: And you know, much kind of like I was wondering how this is the finale.
- 1:22:56[SPEAKER_02]: So is it kind of like a feel like an ending to you or is it kind of like
- 1:23:02[SPEAKER_02]: They open the door more, isn't it?
- 1:23:03[SPEAKER_02]: Is it satisfying?
- 1:23:04[SPEAKER_02]: Because I'm trying to make people who are, there was such a global phenomenon and maybe they feel it's just a one-off, that first season.
- 1:23:12[SPEAKER_02]: But you have been watching it.
- 1:23:13[SPEAKER_02]: Do you think it's worth the watch?
- 1:23:15[SPEAKER_03]: Oh yeah, under percent.
- 1:23:16[SPEAKER_03]: And actually, to book your questions, the answer is this book.
- 1:23:20[SPEAKER_03]: What I mean is that yes, it is satisfying.
- 1:23:23[SPEAKER_03]: Yes, it is an ending.
- 1:23:24[SPEAKER_03]: A real ending, you feel like it.
- 1:23:26[SPEAKER_03]: But at the same time, they're not stupid enough, they're too close to all the doors.
- 1:23:33[SPEAKER_03]: Now, the phenomenon was the first season that everyone was surprised, yes.
- 1:23:39[SPEAKER_03]: Then, like you do, there's actually that we asked this creator and writer to write a second and third season, but he decided to do something smart, which is I would write a second and a present together, but nothing more, and kind of nothing more.
- 1:23:59[SPEAKER_03]: And so we released both second and second season of a six months between the six months gap.
- 1:24:05[SPEAKER_03]: Like I think it was December, twenty-fee for Christmas, but the second season was released.
- 1:24:09[SPEAKER_03]: And now it's separate.
- 1:24:11[SPEAKER_03]: The story of the first season was almost, you can say, over after the end of the second, the second and third season is one story over fourteen episodes.
- 1:24:23[SPEAKER_03]: Literally.
- 1:24:23[SPEAKER_03]: Because there was a huge cliffhanger at the end of the second season.
- 1:24:29[SPEAKER_03]: The whole story is about this character that we were going to call four five six because the squid game players have numbers.
- 1:24:39[SPEAKER_03]: So is the story of four five six?
- 1:24:42[SPEAKER_03]: Let's call it this way, because he has a Korean name, but I don't want to budget it.
- 1:24:49[SPEAKER_03]: That guy was not supported because the person he won the squid game in the first season.
- 1:24:55[SPEAKER_03]: But obviously, the way you win at the swing game, you see four hundred people dying around you, obviously.
- 1:25:01[SPEAKER_03]: And to win the billions of dollars, it was not only sad, but his life felt, yeah, no purpose in life and whether it's a dress.
- 1:25:12[SPEAKER_03]: So he wanted to destroy the squid game from being side.
- 1:25:16[SPEAKER_03]: And that was his goal in second season and inferred.
- 1:25:22[SPEAKER_03]: That's the main storyline.
- 1:25:24[SPEAKER_03]: The second storyline is about a guy called the frontman with kind of not the really is a creator of the squid game but the guy represents the creator of the squid game with actually leading the bad guys who actually control these people and kill these people.
- 1:25:46[SPEAKER_03]: The front man, the active place of front man, is definitely the most interesting actor of the old show.
- 1:25:52[SPEAKER_03]: He's an extraordinary actor.
- 1:25:54[SPEAKER_03]: He plays the villain who has his own agenda.
- 1:25:57[SPEAKER_03]: He's scary with the same time.
- 1:25:59[SPEAKER_03]: You understand what he's coming from.
- 1:26:01[SPEAKER_03]: And that's actually the best villain ever.
- 1:26:03[SPEAKER_03]: When you have a great villain, and you understand his motivation, I'm not saying that you've got to root for him, but at the same time, you want to know more about him, you want to know more what he's back to, et cetera.
- 1:26:16[SPEAKER_03]: is everything is on its face sometimes not even saying anything is very impressive.
- 1:26:22[SPEAKER_03]: And the story of second and third season is about these two guys, these two ideologies almost about our society and our humanity is and should be and how they flash their ideology inside the script game.
- 1:26:42[SPEAKER_03]: It's very interesting because the third season
- 1:26:46[SPEAKER_03]: The second season is the only squid game like the first season with this kind of clash sometimes.
- 1:26:51[SPEAKER_03]: The first season is extremely depressing.
- 1:26:55[SPEAKER_03]: Extremely smart almost much more on a philosophical level.
- 1:27:00[SPEAKER_03]: Because as I said, it's more about how can four, five, six win is, let's say, philosophical fights.
- 1:27:12[SPEAKER_03]: How can you actually prove this point?
- 1:27:14[SPEAKER_03]: And it's
- 1:27:16[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, it makes me think a lot about our society, obviously, and in a way, and that's why it's very divisive.
- 1:27:24[SPEAKER_03]: All the big shows in pop culture are divisive endings when you think about it.
- 1:27:28[SPEAKER_03]: Lost Game of Thrones, whatever.
- 1:27:30[SPEAKER_03]: This one also is very divisive because it's very bitter sweet ending, not per se, it's very bitter sweet.
- 1:27:38[SPEAKER_03]: And you think, who actually won?
- 1:27:41[SPEAKER_03]: And that's the worst part.
- 1:27:42[SPEAKER_03]: It's actually won here.
- 1:27:47[SPEAKER_03]: And yeah, and now talking about opening doors, there is an ending, for sure, there's no need for more.
