Speaker 2: It's three days a week. You can dow with Vertic
• 0:15
Speaker 2: with Ted Cruz wherever you get your podcast center. We've
• 0:18
Speaker 2: got a lot to talk about in the show, including
• 0:21
Speaker 2: an update on Iran, and there's a lot happening there
• 0:23
  Speaker 2: as well well.
• 0:24
Speaker 3: First and foremost, after thirty nine days of an active
• 0:27
Speaker 3: military campaign against Iran, after bombing their military, bombing their missiles,
• 0:34
Speaker 3: bombing their droans, bombing their air force, bombing their navy,
• 0:38
Speaker 3: we have had incredible military success and President Trump has
• 0:42
Speaker 3: announced a two week ceasefire, a two week ceasefire that
• 0:46
Speaker 3: is happening as we speak. We're going to break down
• 0:49
Speaker 3: exactly what has been accomplished so far in Iran, what
• 0:52
Speaker 3: the military successes have been, and what's next, what President
• 0:57
Speaker 3: Trump is demanding of Iran, Iran has to do to
• 1:01
Speaker 3: have the ceasefire continue, and what's going to happen with
• 1:04
Speaker 3: the Strait of Hormuz. All of that we're going to
• 1:06
Speaker 3: break down. We're also going to tell you about a
• 1:08
Speaker 3: conversation I had this week with four astronauts on Artemis
• 1:12
Speaker 3: two coming back from the Moon orbiting the Moon. I'll
• 1:14
Speaker 3: bring you inside mission control at Johnson Space Center where
• 1:18
Speaker 3: I was connected directly to them, and we're going to
• 1:20
Speaker 3: talk about going back to the Moon and beating China
• 1:23
Speaker 3: to the Moon. And finally, we're going to talk about
• 1:26
Speaker 3: the lasting consequences that America still suffers from Joe Biden's
• 1:30
Speaker 3: open borders and the Democrat policies year after year of
• 1:34
Speaker 3: releasing violent criminals, and day after day we see Americans
• 1:40
Speaker 3: killed because of the violent, criminal, illegal aliens Joe Biden
• 1:45
Speaker 3: the Democrats released into America. Trump is turning that around,
• 1:49
Speaker 3: but we still have a lot of criminals on the
• 1:51
Speaker 3: street that the Democrats decided belonged in your community and
• 1:55
  Speaker 3: my community.
• 1:56
Speaker 2: But first, I want to take a moment before we
• 1:57
Speaker 2: get into all that, and I want to tell you
• 2:00
Speaker 2: about the International Fellowship of Christians and Jews and how
• 2:04
Speaker 2: your help is needed right now, especially for those that
• 2:06
Speaker 2: are under attack in Israel as we speak. I want
• 2:10
Speaker 2: to take a moment and talk to you about a
• 2:12
Speaker 2: man named Phineas who has a child survived the Holocaust.
• 2:16
Speaker 2: Phineas survived because Christians hid him from the Nazis, risking
• 2:22
Speaker 2: everything to save his life. Today, he is in his eighties.
• 2:27
Speaker 2: He can no longer stand on his own or leave
• 2:29
Speaker 2: his home to receive medical care, and when the siren
• 2:32
Speaker 2: sounds and the missiles fall, he doesn't have time or
• 2:36
Speaker 2: the strength to reach safety. But once again, Christians are
• 2:40
Speaker 2: helping save his life. Through the International Fellowship of Christians
• 2:44
Speaker 2: and Jews, a mobile clinic brings doctors and medicine right
• 2:48
Speaker 2: inside of his home, providing care he wouldn't receive, especially
• 2:53
Speaker 2: in wartime. Christians saved my life during the Holocaust, he said,
• 2:57
Speaker 2: and now again they're helping. So as Israel's Holocaust Remembrance
• 3:03
Speaker 2: Day approaches, we honor survivors like Phineas, not just with words,
• 3:07
Speaker 2: but with action. Give forty five dollars right now and
• 3:11
Speaker 2: you can rush life saving essentials to the vulnerable in
• 3:14
Speaker 2: Israel under fire eight A eight four eight eight IFCJ
• 3:20
Speaker 2: that's eight eight eight four eight eight if CJ. Or
• 3:24
Speaker 2: go online to IFCJ dot org. That's if CJ dot
• 3:30
Speaker 2: ORG Center. Let's start with Iran, and it is clear that,
• 3:35
Speaker 2: as Sentcom chief put it today, Iran has suffered a
• 3:38
Speaker 2: generational military defeat. They described as a forty year military
• 3:43
Speaker 2: build up that has been crushed in under forty days.
• 3:46
Speaker 2: Yet on TV, Democrats are using the word a lot
• 3:50
Speaker 2: in the last twenty four hours. And that word that
• 3:52
Speaker 2: they're obsessed with now is a quagmire. Forget the definition
• 3:56
Speaker 2: of a quagmire. And actually, if you related to military
• 4:00
Speaker 2: intervention or a war, usually that word is used after
• 4:04
Speaker 2: years of what has become stagnant. But they're like, oh no,
• 4:08
Speaker 2: Donald Trump's got to said a quagmire. Your reaction to
• 4:11
Speaker 2: all of that, well.
• 4:13
Speaker 3: I will say, we had thirty nine days of active
• 4:15
Speaker 3: military conflict, and if you look at what occurred, we
• 4:18
Speaker 3: took out the entirety of Iran's air defenses. We took
• 4:21
Speaker 3: out the entirety of their ballistic missiles, their ballistic missile launchers,
• 4:27
Speaker 3: their ballistic missile manufacturing capability. We took out the entirety
• 4:30
Speaker 3: of their drone arsenal, the entirety of their drone launchers,
• 4:34
Speaker 3: We took out their drone manufacturing capacity. We also took
• 4:38
Speaker 3: out their air force which which is virtually nonexistent at
• 4:41
Speaker 3: this point. We took out their navy, sinking more than
• 4:44
Speaker 3: one hundred and forty naval ships. It's the single largest
• 4:47
Speaker 3: naval defeat since World War II. And all of that
• 4:51
Speaker 3: is on top of the fact that we took out
• 4:54
Speaker 3: the Iatola and virtually the entirety of the military leadership.
• 4:58
Speaker 3: Here's what US Central commit under Admiral Bradley Cooper had
• 5:02
Speaker 3: to say. He said, quote, we set out to dismantle
• 5:06
Speaker 3: Iran's military capability, and we clearly accomplished this task. He said,
• 5:12
Speaker 3: Iran's conventional military quote built over forty years at the
• 5:17
Speaker 3: cost of billions of dollars, has been eliminated. He further elaborated, quote,
• 5:25
Speaker 3: our core strategic military objectives have been achieved after destroying
• 5:30
Speaker 3: Iran's missile, drone, and naval capabilities and their defensive industrial base.
• 5:37
Speaker 3: Outlining what he characterized as a comprehensive dismantling of Iran's
• 5:42
Speaker 3: war machine. The sent Con commander emphasized the scale of
• 5:47
Speaker 3: the operation. We conducted more than thirteen thousand let me
• 5:51
Speaker 3: repeat that, thirteen thousand strikes on Iranian military targets. We
• 5:57
Speaker 3: flew thousands upon thousands of combat miss over Iran, and
• 6:03
Speaker 3: as Admiral Cooper put it, quote in less than forty days,
• 6:08
Speaker 3: you destroyed the military that Iran had built for over
• 6:11
Speaker 3: forty years. He also said more than fifty thousand American
• 6:16
Speaker 3: service members took part in the operation, and he called
• 6:18
Speaker 3: it a mission of profound consequences which exceeded each in
• 6:24
Speaker 3: every expectation for what the forces achieved. And he went
• 6:28
Speaker 3: on to say, quote we remain present, we remain vigilant,
• 6:33
Speaker 3: and we remain ready if called. And he added that
• 6:36
Speaker 3: the United States Forces would continue to stand quote shoulder
• 6:39
Speaker 3: to shoulder with regional partners to maintain quote the most
• 6:42
Speaker 3: sophisticated and largest active air defense umbrella in the world.
• 6:50
Speaker 3: That is a big deal. The success that was carried
• 6:54
Speaker 3: out was extraordinary. Now the question is after that. And
• 7:00
Speaker 3: by the way, the instant the attack started, Democrats began attacking,
• 7:07
Speaker 3: not Iran, not attacking the people who chant death to America,
• 7:10
Speaker 3: not attacking the regime that has been the world's leading
• 7:13
Speaker 3: state sponsor of terrorism. Not attacking the Iranian regime that
• 7:17
Speaker 3: provides over ninety percent of the funding to Hamas, over
• 7:20
Speaker 3: ninety percent of the funding to Hezbelo, over ninety percent
• 7:22
Speaker 3: of the funding. The houthis no, the Democrats didn't attack
• 7:25
Speaker 3: any of that. What did they attack our commander in
• 7:27
  Speaker 3: chief Donald J.
• 7:29
  Speaker 1: Trump.
• 7:29
Speaker 3: You know, it used to be that politics end at
• 7:34
Speaker 3: the nation's border, at our water's edge, and yet today
• 7:38
Speaker 3: the instant this military conflict began the Democrats hate Trump
• 7:42
Speaker 3: so much. Rather than stand with our troops, rather than
• 7:46
Speaker 3: stand for defeating our enemies, they immediately began cheering effectively
• 7:51
Speaker 3: for the United States to lose.
• 7:52
Speaker 2: Let's talk about what success actually looks like. We know
• 7:57
Speaker 2: that Democrats, as you mentioned before, the they're criticizing Trump
• 8:02
Speaker 2: because he didn't bomb the power plants and the roads.
• 8:05
Speaker 2: But if he would have done it, they said that
• 8:07
Speaker 2: he would be then committing war crimes and he should
• 8:09
  Speaker 2: be arrested.
• 8:10
Speaker 1: So which one is it?
• 8:12
Speaker 3: Well, look, they're wrong on both fronts. So let's talk
• 8:15
Speaker 3: about what President Trump is demanding of Iran for this
• 8:18
Speaker 3: ceasefire to continue. And mind you, this is a two
• 8:21
Speaker 3: week ceasefire. There's no guarantee if Iran fails, the ceasefire
• 8:25
Speaker 3: will end. But President Trump is making three demands and
• 8:30
Speaker 3: I agree with all of them. Number one, he is
• 8:33
Speaker 3: insisting that Iran engage in no enrichment, zero enrichment of uranium. Now,
• 8:39
Speaker 3: Iran has been pressing back repeatedly saying them a right
• 8:42
Speaker 3: to enricheranium. Of course, Barack Obama and his disastrous Iran
• 8:46
Speaker 3: Nuclear Deal effectively protected their right to enrich uranium, which
• 8:52
Speaker 3: would have led inexorably to Iran having a nuclear weapon.
• 8:56
Speaker 3: And listen, when you have an Ayatola, who's a religious zealot,
• 9:00
Speaker 3: who chance death to America, who has killed nearly a
• 9:04
Speaker 3: thousand Americans, the idea of any universe in which he
• 9:08
Speaker 3: has a nuclear weapon where he could kill in the
• 9:10
Speaker 3: blink of an eye hundreds of thousands of Americans, that's
• 9:14
Speaker 3: utterly unacceptable. So President Trump is right to insist zero enrichment.
• 9:20
Speaker 3: Number one. Number two, Iran has a substantial stockpile of
• 9:25
Speaker 3: enriched uranium. President Trump is insisting hand over your enriched uranium.
• 9:31
Speaker 3: You cannot keep it, you cannot hold on to it.
• 9:34
Speaker 3: You must hand it over. He is absolutely right to
• 9:37
Speaker 3: insist on that as well. And then number three, President
• 9:40
Speaker 3: Trump is insisting open the strait of hormose and keep
• 9:44
Speaker 3: it open. You cannot use this as a choke point.
• 9:47
Speaker 3: That is exactly right. Now, I will say. You have
• 9:50
Speaker 3: some Democrats some of the media that are saying, oh,
• 9:53
Speaker 3: they're actually saying Iran won this war because they threaten
• 9:57
Speaker 3: the Strait of Hormuse. Look, Iran has an engaged in
• 10:00
Speaker 3: terrorism for forty seven years. They are continuing to engage
• 10:06
Speaker 3: in terrorism. I cannot none of us can promise today
• 10:11
Speaker 3: that Iran will stop engaging in terrorism. But what President
• 10:14
Speaker 3: Trump has done is number one, dramatically limited their ability
• 10:18
Speaker 3: to engage in warfare to kill Americans or to kill
• 10:22
Speaker 3: Iran's neighbors. The missiles are gone, the drones are gone,
• 10:27
Speaker 3: the air force jets are gone, the air defenses are gone,
• 10:30
Speaker 3: the naval ships are gone. All of that, not to
• 10:33
Speaker 3: mention the military leadership has been killed. All of that
• 10:39
Speaker 3: has dramatically weakened Iran's ability to kill others. As for
• 10:43
Speaker 3: the Strait of Hormuz, President Trump made a clear and
• 10:47
Speaker 3: direct threat, if you do not open the strait, we
• 10:50
Speaker 3: will bomb your power plants and we will bomb your bridges. Now,
• 10:53
Speaker 3: Democrats had a conniption fit. They said, it is a
• 10:56
Speaker 3: war crime to bomb power plants. Now, in our life,
• 11:00
Speaker 3: last podcast that we did on Wednesday, we went through
• 11:03
Speaker 3: the Pentagon Manual on warfare. That makes very explicit that
• 11:07
Speaker 3: power plants, civilian power plants are legitimate military targets because
• 11:12
Speaker 3: they're integral for the military defense of a nation. They
• 11:15
Speaker 3: power communication, they power the military system, and so they
• 11:19
Speaker 3: are have long been treated as legitimate military target targets
• 11:23
Speaker 3: under the rules of war. Of course, that doesn't stop
• 11:27
Speaker 3: the corporate media, that doesn't stop the Democrats from screaming
• 11:31
Speaker 3: war crime. But Bennett's worth underscoring why did President Trump
• 11:36
Speaker 3: threaten the power plants and the bridges? The obvious thing
• 11:42
Speaker 3: to threaten, the thing that would be the most devastating
• 11:45
Speaker 3: to Iran is to threaten the oil infrastructure, to threaten
• 11:49
Speaker 3: the refineries, to threaten carg Island, which is the main point,
• 11:52
Speaker 3: the main terminal through which oil is exported. If the
• 11:55
Speaker 3: United States bombed the oil infrastructure in Iran, it would
• 12:01
Speaker 3: utterly cripple their economy. That is, the vast majority of
• 12:04
Speaker 3: the revenue that the Iran Iranian government receives that the
• 12:07
Speaker 3: Iranian people receive is revenue from selling oil, and if
• 12:11
Speaker 3: we bomb those facilities, it would be devastating to the
• 12:16
Speaker 3: Iranian economy. Why does Trump not want to do it? Well,
• 12:19
Speaker 3: quite sensibly because when this military conflict is over, Iran
• 12:24
Speaker 3: presumably is going to need to rebuild. It's not going
• 12:26
Speaker 3: to be American taxpayers who rebuild. We're not going to
• 12:28
Speaker 3: rebuild at all. We're not going to spend our money
• 12:30
Speaker 3: to do that. But if we have a government in
• 12:33
Speaker 3: Iran that is not run by Islamists, that is not
• 12:36
Speaker 3: actively trying to murder Americans, then presumably that government is
• 12:40
Speaker 3: going to need to rebuild from the consequences of this war.
• 12:43
Speaker 3: And the only way that they're going to be able
• 12:45
Speaker 3: to rebuild with any speed, any alacrity, is if they
• 12:49
Speaker 3: are able to sell the oil they have and have
• 12:52
Speaker 3: that revenue. And so President Trump, I think quite sensibly,
• 12:56
Speaker 3: is focusing on other choke points that are not the
• 13:02
Speaker 3: beating heart of the Iranian economy going forward. That's why
• 13:05
Speaker 3: threatened power plants and bridges. And let me be clear,
• 13:08
Speaker 3: I think there is still a very real possibility President
• 13:11
Speaker 3: Trump follows through on that threat and takes out the
• 13:14
Speaker 3: power plants in Iran, which would plunge that nation into darkness,
• 13:19
Speaker 3: would literally turn out the lights. I think President Trump
• 13:24
Speaker 3: will do that if number one Iran continues to shut
• 13:27
Speaker 3: down the Strait of horror moves. I think that if
• 13:29
Speaker 3: they think Donald Trump is bluffing, they are making a
• 13:32
Speaker 3: bad calculus. And the previous Iatola made that calculus and
• 13:37
Speaker 3: he did not live twenty four hours into this military conflict.
• 13:40
Speaker 3: The current leaders have to make their own judgment. But
• 13:43
Speaker 3: in my view, Trump is not bluffing.
• 13:46
Speaker 2: When you talk about Trump not bluffing on this one,
• 13:48
Speaker 2: there's people that say, well, he's just reaching for straws here,
• 13:51
Speaker 2: He's just trying to salvage this thing.
• 13:55
Speaker 1: I disagree with that.
• 13:56
Speaker 2: I think what we've done with our military in the
• 13:58
Speaker 2: last forty days is truly just remarkable. It's historic taking
• 14:03
Speaker 2: out a forty year military in forty days. It's a
• 14:05
Speaker 2: year a day, if you want to break it down
• 14:07
Speaker 2: in a different perspective, for every year it took them
• 14:10
Speaker 2: to do to build their military. It took us one
• 14:13
Speaker 2: day to take out of year's worth of work in
• 14:14
Speaker 2: forty years and forty days is pretty impressive. But there's
• 14:17
Speaker 2: also a real political concern here about the midterms coming up.
• 14:22
Speaker 2: That's something that I hear a lot of people that,
• 14:24
Speaker 2: by the way, support the president. I look, we got
• 14:26
Speaker 2: to get this thing over with. This is going to
• 14:27
Speaker 2: ruin us. The midterms. How concerned are you about the
• 14:30
Speaker 2: quote politics playing back at home with this.
• 14:33
Speaker 3: Look, we need to do the right thing, and we
• 14:34
Speaker 3: need to keep America safe. President Trump is a strong
• 14:37
Speaker 3: commander in chief, and he launched this military attack because
• 14:41
Speaker 3: Iran has been waging war against the United States. They
• 14:43
Speaker 3: have been funding terrorism, they've been murdering Americans, and they've
• 14:46
Speaker 3: stated they had intended to continue funding terrorism and murdering Americans.
• 14:50
Speaker 3: So he was acting to keep Americans safe. Unlike Barack Obama,
• 14:54
Speaker 3: Unlike past presidents, he's not engaged in nation building. He's
• 14:57
Speaker 3: not invading foreign nations and putting our sons and daughters
• 15:00
Speaker 3: in harm's way to achieve amorphous goals like spreading democracy.
• 15:05
Speaker 3: Spreading democracy may be a wonderful thing, but we're not
• 15:08
Speaker 3: going to sacrifice our fighting men and women to do it.
• 15:11
Speaker 3: What he is doing is taking out a real threat
• 15:15
Speaker 3: that was threatening the lives of Americans. The politics will come.
• 15:19
Speaker 3: He needs to focus on doing the right thing. That's
• 15:21
Speaker 3: exactly what President Trump is doing.
• 15:24
Speaker 1: All right, Senator, I want to get to something else.
• 15:26
Speaker 2: There's been so much about Iran in the news for
• 15:29
Speaker 2: good reason, but there's also some other really big news
• 15:33
Speaker 2: items that are happening, and one of them is our astronauts,
• 15:36
Speaker 2: and you got to talk to them after this launch
• 15:39
Speaker 2: on their way back to Earth.
• 15:42
Speaker 3: Well I did in terms of when I came home
• 15:45
Speaker 3: this evening and my family asked, what'd you do today?
• 15:48
Speaker 3: I was able to answer, well, I talked to four
• 15:50
Speaker 3: astronauts today coming back from the Moon. And it's not
• 15:52
Speaker 3: often you get to say something like that. So kidding
• 15:56
Speaker 3: you look at the Artemist two mission. The Artemist two
• 15:59
Speaker 3: mission launched eight days ago. It's a nine day long mission.
• 16:03
Speaker 3: It is the first time we have sent men back
• 16:06
Speaker 3: to the Moon since the Apollo program. It's been nearly
• 16:10
Speaker 3: fifty years now. Of course, they did not land on
• 16:12
Speaker 3: the Moon, but we launched from Cape Canaveral in Florida.
• 16:16
Speaker 3: They launched, left the Earth's atmosphere, went to the Moon,
• 16:19
Speaker 3: they orbited around the Moon, and now they're returning back.
• 16:22
Speaker 3: And so they actually went further from Earth than any
• 16:29
Speaker 3: human being says that have ever been and they're on
• 16:31
Speaker 3: their journey back. When I spoke to them, it was
• 16:34
Speaker 3: just under twenty four hours before splashdown. They're scheduled to
• 16:37
Speaker 3: splash down sixty miles off the coast of San Diego
• 16:43
Speaker 3: at just after seven pm on Friday, and so I
• 16:48
Speaker 3: spoke to the four astronauts. You have Reid and Victor,
• 16:52
Speaker 3: you have Christina and Jeremy, and they're all in the
• 16:56
  Speaker 3: Orion capsule.
• 16:58
Speaker 1: I know all four of them.
• 16:59
Speaker 3: I was there when their astronaut class was selected to
• 17:03
Speaker 3: be on Artemis two. Artemis four, by the way, is
• 17:07
Speaker 3: going to be the mission that actually goes and lands
• 17:09
Speaker 3: on the Moon and puts another astronaut on the Moon.
• 17:12
Speaker 3: One of the reasons, why do you know why this
• 17:15
Speaker 3: particular set of missions is called Artemis.
• 17:18
Speaker 1: I was going to ask you that why, because I
• 17:19
Speaker 1: know you've been briefed on it.
• 17:21
Speaker 3: Well, in Greek mythology, Artemis was the twin sister of Apollo,
• 17:27
Speaker 3: and so they were twins, and in Apollo, that was
• 17:31
Speaker 3: the last time we landed astronauts on the Moon, and
• 17:35
Speaker 3: we landed only men on the moon. This mission, NASA's
• 17:38
Speaker 3: said from day one, we're going to land the first
• 17:40
Speaker 3: woman on the Moon. And that's why they named it Artemis,
• 17:42
Speaker 3: because we're going to have a female astronaut in addition
• 17:45
Speaker 3: to male astronauts. We're gonna have both. And I got
• 17:48
Speaker 3: to say, look, I'm as you know, I'm the father
• 17:50
Speaker 3: of daughters. I have two teenage girls, and I really
• 17:53
Speaker 3: like the fact that the plan is by twenty twenty
• 17:56
Speaker 3: eight we're going to land on the Moon. And I
• 17:58
Speaker 3: like the fact that we're going to put the first
• 17:59
Speaker 3: woman on the Moon. That's something my daughters can be
• 18:03
Speaker 3: proud of, they can look forward to. They can say, look,
• 18:05
Speaker 3: I can do anything if I want. I can be
• 18:08
Speaker 3: an astronaut, I can land on the Moon.
• 18:10
Speaker 1: And you look back.
• 18:12
Speaker 3: You and I were not alive in nineteen sixty nine
• 18:14
Speaker 3: when Neil Armstrong first stepped on the surface of the Moon,
• 18:18
Speaker 3: but it inspired an entire generation of Americans, an entire
• 18:23
Speaker 3: generation across the world. And I'll tell you you and
• 18:27
Speaker 3: I both live in Houston, our hometown or my hometown
• 18:31
Speaker 3: of Houston, and your current town of Houston has an
• 18:35
Speaker 3: incredible history with space. One of the very first words
• 18:41
Speaker 3: ever uttered on the surface of the Moon was Houston. Houston,
• 18:46
Speaker 3: the eagle is landed. And our city. There's a reason
• 18:50
Speaker 3: why the sports teams are the Astros and the Rockets,
• 18:55
Speaker 3: and we now have a WNBA's team coming back. That's
• 18:57
Speaker 3: the Comets. I mean, our our city sports. The Astrodome
• 19:02
Speaker 3: is where the Asteroid played played forever. Astroworld used to
• 19:05
Speaker 3: be our theme park. Sadly it closed. We're a city.
• 19:09
Speaker 3: You look at Commercial Space. The four Artemis astronauts trained
• 19:14
Speaker 3: right here in Houston at Johnson Space Center. That's where
• 19:17
Speaker 3: every astronaut trains. It's where mission control is. So I
• 19:20
Speaker 3: went today down to mission control. I met with the
• 19:25
Speaker 3: engineers who are controlling everything that is happening up there,
• 19:28
Speaker 3: and got to you know, sort of like et got
• 19:32
Speaker 3: the phone home and talked to We did a call
• 19:35
Speaker 3: that had about a dozen members of Congress and we
• 19:37
Speaker 3: talked to the astronauts. Jared Isaacman, who's the administrator of NASA,
• 19:43
Speaker 3: he spoke first, and I got to say it was
• 19:45
Speaker 3: really cool. He spoke to them and and he greeted
• 19:48
Speaker 3: them and thanked them for what they were doing. And
• 19:50
Speaker 3: he said, he said, I'm speaking to you on behalf
• 19:53
Speaker 3: of the people of Earth. And I got to say
• 19:57
Speaker 3: that was really cool to hear. And I commented right
• 19:59
Speaker 3: after that, I said, that is the first time in
• 20:02
Speaker 3: my life I've stood next to someone or stood with
• 20:05
Speaker 3: someone who greeted someone on behalf of the people of Earth.
• 20:09
Speaker 3: And that was not hyperbole. You look at they traveled
• 20:15
Speaker 3: over two hundred and fifty thousand miles. The Orion capsule
• 20:18
Speaker 3: itself is really small. The capsules three hundred and thirty
• 20:23
Speaker 3: cubic feet of volume. It is sixteen and a half
• 20:29
Speaker 3: feet wide, and it is eleven feet tall, and it's
• 20:35
Speaker 3: round and sort of shaped like a cone. And four
• 20:37
Speaker 3: people have been living that. The size has been compared
• 20:42
Speaker 3: to about the size of Too Mini vans, so four
• 20:45
Speaker 3: people have been living in Too minivans for nine days.
• 20:49
Speaker 3: I have been in a mockup of the capsule. It's
• 20:53
Speaker 3: really small. I mean there's not much room at all.
• 20:56
Speaker 3: And by the way, it's four people sharing, among other things,
• 21:00
Speaker 3: one one toilet, and in fact they had a problem
• 21:03
Speaker 3: where the toilet jammed and that they had to play
• 21:07
Speaker 3: space plumbers. And it has been fascinating. There have been
• 21:12
Speaker 3: millions of people watching them just day to day doing
• 21:18
Speaker 3: their mission in space and watching them. It's been live
• 21:21
Speaker 3: stream and they've been doing a lot of media interviews,
• 21:24
Speaker 3: which I think is really powerful. One of the most
• 21:26
Speaker 3: important purposes of the space mission is to inspire the
• 21:31
Speaker 3: next generation, and I think in the midst of all
• 21:34
Speaker 3: the other challenges we have going on seeing that that
• 21:38
Speaker 3: that four human beings are capable of going back to
• 21:41
Speaker 3: the Moon and knowing the promise that we're soon going
• 21:44
Speaker 3: to be walking on them, and by the way, not
• 21:45
Speaker 3: just walking on the Moon. It is the objective of
• 21:49
Speaker 3: NASA and I have written this into law that we
• 21:53
Speaker 3: will have sustained human habitation on the surface of the Moon.
• 21:57
Speaker 3: And President Trump is committed to building a lunar base.
• 22:02
Speaker 3: And one of the cool things been, you know, representing
• 22:05
Speaker 3: Texas for fourteen years, just about every single major piece
• 22:10
Speaker 3: of space legislation that has passed in the last fourteen years,
• 22:15
Speaker 3: I've either written or co written, and so I've had
• 22:18
Speaker 3: space legislation signed by Barack Obama. I've had space legislation
• 22:23
Speaker 3: signed by Donald Trump. I've had space legislation signed by
• 22:27
Speaker 3: Joe Biden. And one of the things I've worked hard
• 22:30
Speaker 3: on to do is keep space out of partisan politics.
• 22:34
Speaker 3: There's so much partisan politics on everything else. But if
• 22:38
Speaker 3: America is going to lead in space, listen. China has
• 22:42
Speaker 3: stated their goal they want to go to the Moon
• 22:44
Speaker 3: by twenty thirty. They want to beat us to the moon,
• 22:46
Speaker 3: and there's a land rush. The most the optimum land
• 22:51
Speaker 3: to occupy is at the South Pole. It's at the
• 22:54
Speaker 3: south pole where there is water. Water is available for
• 22:58
Speaker 3: human habitation, for energy, but it's also the crater is
• 23:02
Speaker 3: high enough that you can see the sun and have
• 23:04
Speaker 3: solar power, and so the South Pole, the scientists believe,
• 23:08
Speaker 3: is the optimum location. We're in race to get there,
• 23:11
Speaker 3: and the United States intends to win. We're going to
• 23:14
Speaker 3: beat China. And a big part of the way we're
• 23:16
Speaker 3: beating China is not letting this be subject to the
• 23:20
Speaker 3: back and forth partisan political bickering so much else is.
• 23:24
Speaker 3: And I'm proud of the fact that for fourteen years
• 23:26
Speaker 3: we have kept American leadership in space outside of partisan politics.
• 23:31
Speaker 2: Sinner, Let's talk about also just something that's going to
• 23:34
Speaker 2: be really exciting, and that is the prospect that I
• 23:37
Speaker 2: and also my kids are going to be able to
• 23:39
Speaker 2: see us land on the Moon again.
• 23:41
Speaker 1: When is that expected to happen?
• 23:44
Speaker 2: And I know you've learned a lot about that and
• 23:47
Speaker 2: this plans, and this is obviously this trip is one
• 23:50
Speaker 2: very big step getting us much closer to that.
• 23:53
Speaker 3: Twenty twenty eight is the target date to land back
• 23:55
Speaker 3: on the Moon and to take astronauts safely to the
• 23:58
Speaker 3: surface of the Moon. And then back again to planet Earth.
• 24:02
Speaker 3: And the plan is for it to be in the
• 24:03
Speaker 3: last year of President Trump's presidency. And by the way,
• 24:07
Speaker 3: I will say OMB the Office of Management and Budget.
• 24:10
Speaker 3: Last year there were some folks at OMB that wanted
• 24:13
Speaker 3: to drastically slash the budget to go to the Moon.
• 24:17
Speaker 3: They had decided Mars was more important than the Moon
• 24:20
Speaker 3: was going to be substantially deprioritized. And what happened last
• 24:26
Speaker 3: year when we were passing the big reconciliation bill, the
• 24:28
Speaker 3: Working Family's tax cut, I decided that was a terrible
• 24:32
Speaker 3: thing for the United States. I was not going to
• 24:34
Speaker 3: sit by and watch America lose to China and seed
• 24:38
Speaker 3: the Moon to China. And so when we were writing
• 24:41
Speaker 3: the reconciliation bill, I wrote in ten billion dollars to
• 24:47
Speaker 3: fund going back to the Moon, to fund artemists, to
• 24:49
Speaker 3: fund what is happening right now. And OMB was really
• 24:52
Speaker 3: unhappy with me. It was a battle, but I had
• 24:54
Speaker 3: the support, I had locked down the votes in the Senate,
• 24:58
Speaker 3: and so we passed it in law. And it was
• 25:00
Speaker 3: an example of Article one of the Constitution, the Congress
• 25:04
Speaker 3: exercising its authority. And I'll tell you what I told
• 25:07
Speaker 3: the President I said, look, if we were to look
• 25:09
Speaker 3: up in twenty twenty eight or twenty thirty and see
• 25:12
Speaker 3: the Chinese on the moon, understand that they had gotten
• 25:14
Speaker 3: there and beaten us there, and seize the high ground
• 25:17
Speaker 3: and the preferred location, I think it would be more
• 25:20
Speaker 3: damaging to this country than Sputnik was when the Soviets
• 25:23
Speaker 3: launched a satellite in the space. We are not going
• 25:26
Speaker 3: to lose the race with China and Artemis too. It's
• 25:29
Speaker 3: an inspirational example of America leading in America winning.
• 25:33
Speaker 2: We want to talk about another issue that it needs
• 25:36
Speaker 2: to be back on the radar screen for a lot
• 25:39
Speaker 2: of Americans, and that is that continual crimes are being
• 25:43
Speaker 2: committed by illegal immigrants that are in this country. The
• 25:47
Speaker 2: media continues to overlook this. They don't want you to
• 25:51
Speaker 2: know that it's happening. But it's another example of why
• 25:53
Speaker 2: the President needs to be fighting so hard against these
• 25:55
Speaker 2: sanctuary cities that are harboring many of these criminals, or
• 26:00
Speaker 2: is he would describe them really bad?
• 26:01
  Speaker 1: Ombrace Well.
• 26:03
Speaker 3: You may recall back in twenty twenty four the Republican
• 26:05
Speaker 3: National Convention, when I spoke and addressed the convention, my
• 26:09
Speaker 3: remarks were focused on this topic, and the theme of
• 26:13
Speaker 3: it was every damn day, every day, another American has raped,
• 26:18
Speaker 3: another American is assaulted, another American is murdered by a
• 26:23
Speaker 3: violent criminal, illegal alien that Joe Biden and the Democrats
• 26:26
Speaker 3: have released. And I walked through the tragic cases of
• 26:29
Speaker 3: Joscelyn Nungary, the beautiful twelve year old girl raped and
• 26:32
Speaker 3: murdered here in Houston. I walked through Lake and Riley,
• 26:36
Speaker 3: the horrific murder of the young nursing student in Georgia.
• 26:40
Speaker 3: I walked through Rachel Morin, the mom of five raped
• 26:45
Speaker 3: and murdered outside of Washington, d C. It was happening
• 26:48
Speaker 3: over and over and over again. That was one of
• 26:52
Speaker 3: the big reasons that the voters came out in overwhelming numbers,
• 26:55
Speaker 3: re elected President Trump, elected a Republican House, elected a
• 26:59
Speaker 3: Republican Senate, and we've seen immediate results. We've seen illegal
• 27:04
Speaker 3: border crossings drop more than ninety nine percent. The problem is,
• 27:08
Speaker 3: we have four years of open borders that we have
• 27:11
Speaker 3: to unwind. We have over twelve million illegal aliens that
• 27:14
Speaker 3: were allowed to flood into this country. And so just
• 27:16
Speaker 3: this week, the story broke that a gas station clerk,
• 27:21
Speaker 3: a mom in Fort Myers, Florida, was bludgeoned to death
• 27:27
Speaker 3: with a hammer. I mean, what a horrible way to
• 27:29
Speaker 3: go beaten to death with a hammer. And who is
• 27:32
Speaker 3: it that committed this crime? A Haitian illegal alien who
• 27:37
Speaker 3: was caught and then released at the border by the
• 27:40
Speaker 3: Biden administration. In twenty twenty two, an immigration judge ordered
• 27:44
Speaker 3: him deported. Robert Joshim is his name, but the Biden
• 27:50
Speaker 3: administration shielded him from deportation by granting him temporary protected status. So,
• 27:59
Speaker 3: in other word, wards what this person did. He took
• 28:02
Speaker 3: a hammer the parking lot of a gas station. He
• 28:05
Speaker 3: walks at her with full strengths. He beats her on
• 28:08
Speaker 3: the head with a hammer. She falls down, unconscious, and
• 28:11
Speaker 3: then he crushes her head with the hammer while she's
• 28:15
Speaker 3: unconscious six more times. Here's the statement of the Department
• 28:20
Speaker 3: Homeland Security put out quote. This illegal alien barbarically hit
• 28:26
Speaker 3: this woman in the head multiple times with a hammer.
• 28:30
Speaker 3: This heinous murderer was released into the country by the
• 28:34
Speaker 3: Bidad administration. Not only did the Bida administration release him
• 28:38
Speaker 3: into the country, but they gave him temporary protected status.
• 28:42
Speaker 3: Their reckless immigration policies cost this woman her life. This
• 28:50
Speaker 3: keeps happening over and over and over again. And what
• 28:58
Speaker 3: is amazing, Ben, In spite of that, every Democrat in
• 29:02
Speaker 3: the Senate when we have a vote, the Department I'm
• 29:04
Speaker 3: less Security is still shut down because they have decided
• 29:07
Speaker 3: they hate ICE so much, they hate border enforcement so
• 29:10
Speaker 3: much that it is the position of the Democrat Party
• 29:13
Speaker 3: they are opposed. They want to defund ICE, which is
• 29:17
Speaker 3: the organizations that is charged with finding this vicious criminal,
• 29:22
Speaker 3: arresting him and deporting him. They don't want him deported.
• 29:27
Speaker 3: They want this Haitian murderer in your community. They don't
• 29:30
Speaker 3: care if you happen to be the poor woman who's
• 29:34
Speaker 3: bludgeoned to death. Look, you know, Chris Murphy, the very
• 29:39
Speaker 3: liberal Democrat from Connecticut, was on TV, and you know
• 29:43
Speaker 3: there's an old line that a gaff is when a
• 29:45
Speaker 3: politician actually accidentally tells the truth. He described he said,
• 29:50
Speaker 3: the people we care about the most, meaning we meaning Democrats,
• 29:56
Speaker 3: are illegal immigrants. That is what their party is. And
• 30:00
Speaker 3: it's infuriating. It keeps happening over and over and over again.
• 30:04
Speaker 2: When you talk about it still being shut down, and
• 30:07
Speaker 2: this is I think one of the midterms are going
• 30:09
Speaker 2: to be a really important. Obviously, this should be one
• 30:12
Speaker 2: of the important issues of the midterms that Republicans need
• 30:14
Speaker 2: to remind if Democrats get back in charge, they've made
• 30:18
Speaker 2: it clear they will immediately open the borders wide up
• 30:21
Speaker 2: and they don't care who comes in.
• 30:23
Speaker 1: It's going to happen. Get ready for it.
• 30:25
Speaker 2: That is their form, that is their policy, and they
• 30:27
Speaker 2: will absolutely abolish ice if they can do it as well.
• 30:32
Speaker 3: And by the way, understand, the risk is not just
• 30:35
Speaker 3: the murderers. It's not just the child molesters and the
• 30:38
Speaker 3: rapist and the gang bangers. It is also a very
• 30:41
Speaker 3: real risk of terrorism. We have seen in the last
• 30:44
Speaker 3: month four acts of terrorism by radical Islamic terrorists. And
• 30:48
Speaker 3: here's a story that broke this week. I'm just going
• 30:51
Speaker 3: to read a tweet from Bill Malusian, the fantastic reporter
• 30:55
  Speaker 3: at Fox.
• 30:55
Speaker 1: Here's what he said.
• 30:56
Speaker 3: New Border patrol caught and arrested for British national entering
• 31:01
Speaker 3: the US illegally in a remote part of Maine after
• 31:04
Speaker 3: crossing from Canada. Their names these are four British nationals.
• 31:11
Speaker 3: Ali Mohammad Ali Abdullah that's number one, Hamid Mohammed Nagi
• 31:18
Speaker 3: that's number two, Ibrahim Ayub Khan, that's number three, and
• 31:24
Speaker 3: Mohammed Sultan Salai. And these are illegal immigrants that were
• 31:29
Speaker 3: sneaking into a remote wooded part of Maine. This is dangerous.
• 31:37
Speaker 3: Now you know what happened. Because President Trump is in
• 31:40
Speaker 3: office and Border Patrol's allowed to do their job. They
• 31:42
Speaker 3: were apprehended. They weren't just let in and they're apprehended.
• 31:47
Speaker 3: You know what, I guarantee you they will not be released.
• 31:49
Speaker 3: They won't be released into this country. If Joe Biden
• 31:52
Speaker 3: were president, those four people whose names I just released,
• 31:55
Speaker 3: they named that they'd be released and we might be
• 31:58
Speaker 3: reading about them in another week or two. That pattern
• 32:03
Speaker 3: has played out over and over and over again. And
• 32:08
Speaker 3: by the way, it's not just illegal immigrants, it is
• 32:13
Speaker 3: criminals across the board. It is criminals across the board,
• 32:19
Speaker 3: such as for example, De Carlos Brown, who was this
• 32:26
Speaker 3: psychotic lunatic who murdered the beautiful Ukrainian woman in North Carolina.
• 32:35
Speaker 3: He was just ruled not competent to stand trial. And
• 32:41
Speaker 3: I don't doubt that the guy as crazy as a loon.
• 32:45
Speaker 3: But let's be clear, Democrats and Roy Cooper in particular,
• 32:50
Speaker 3: the Democrat governor, released this psychopath murderer fourteen separate times.
• 33:01
Speaker 3: If you keep releasing violent criminals and it actually helped
• 33:04
Speaker 3: me on this Ben play Devil's advocate for a minute.
• 33:08
Speaker 3: Try to get inside the mind of a Democrat. Why
• 33:11
Speaker 3: would they want to release violent criminals over and over again?
• 33:16
Speaker 2: Yeah, it doesn't make sense, and yet they continue to
• 33:19
Speaker 2: do it because for them, I really do think it's
• 33:21
Speaker 2: an issue of politics, right, they want to bring in
• 33:24
  Speaker 2: a new voters.
• 33:25
Speaker 1: That's the simplest way I can put it.
• 33:27
Speaker 3: Well, it's not just new voters, yes, for the illegals.
• 33:30
Speaker 3: But you look at this to Carlos Brown, he was
• 33:32
Speaker 3: not an illegal immigrant. He was just a psychopathic, lunatic American.
• 33:35
Speaker 3: But you know what Democrats also think, not only should
• 33:38
Speaker 3: he be released from jail, they think he ought to
• 33:40
Speaker 3: be a voter. He's perfectly fine to vote in US elections.
• 33:44
Speaker 3: And I guarantee you violent criminals vote overwhelmingly Democrat. And
• 33:49
Speaker 3: I guess that explains why the Democrats their priority is
• 33:52
Speaker 3: violent criminals and not American citizens.
• 33:55
