- 0:06Speaker 1: voices that move markets. The conversations that shape the boardroom.
- 0:10Speaker 1: Live from our studios in Midtown Manhattan, here is today's program.
- 0:17Speaker 2: Hey there, everyone. This is your host, Phil, and welcome
- 0:20Speaker 2: back to the show. Our next guest joining us here
- 0:22Speaker 2: today is Angela Thomas-Smith, who's in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina,
- 0:27Speaker 2: for a business called Queen of Collaborations Coaching Services. How
- 0:30Speaker 2: are you today?
- 0:32Speaker 3: I'm great. How are you?
- 0:34Speaker 2: Doing wonderful. Thank you very much, Angela. So tell us
- 0:37Speaker 2: a little bit more about what you're offering here to people.
- 0:40Speaker 2: How are you helping them out?
- 0:41Speaker 3: So I have a purpose-driven brand that is created to empower, inspire,
- 0:51Speaker 3: and uplift. My desire is to connect people through books, media, prayer, collaboration,
- 0:59Speaker 3: community service. I provide author services, publishing support, book promotions.
- 1:08Speaker 3: I do inspirational speaking, empowerment events, community outreach. Most of
- 1:15Speaker 3: my things are spiritual-based because of my walk, because of
- 1:22Speaker 3: the things that I have endured and encountered. I am
- 1:25Speaker 3: a domestic violence survivor. I was shot point-blank range with
- 1:28Speaker 3: a sawed-off shotgun. I live to tell about it. So
- 1:32Speaker 3: I utilize my platform to be able to do the
- 1:35Speaker 3: same for others. My whole mission is to help people
- 1:38Speaker 3: recognize that they have a voice no matter what. They
- 1:41Speaker 3: have a story and that they have an assignment and
- 1:44Speaker 3: that all of that matters. And I do it through books, prayer, interviews,
- 1:49Speaker 3: podcasts and magazines, every outlet that God has allowed me
- 1:55Speaker 3: to utilize through my gifts and talents. Okay, excellent.
- 2:00Speaker 2: Well, when did you get started doing this coaching like this?
- 2:05Speaker 3: I started around 2016. I really went full force around
- 2:12Speaker 3: 2020 during the pandemic.
- 2:16Speaker 2: Gotcha. So have you always kind of had a desire
- 2:19Speaker 2: here to want to help people this way?
- 2:23Speaker 3: In 2014, it really came forth after being... in a
- 2:30Speaker 3: domestic violence incident, and given a second chance at life.
- 2:36Speaker 3: I wanted to let other people know that they still
- 2:39Speaker 3: had purpose, and that's what really pushed me forward. It
- 2:44Speaker 3: lit a fire under me.
- 2:47Speaker 2: Of course. So when you're working with people, where do
- 2:51Speaker 2: you kind of start with them? I'm sure everyone has
- 2:53Speaker 2: a different story here.
- 2:56Speaker 3: So it depends on what avenue and which outlet they
- 3:01Speaker 3: come to me through because I have several different platforms.
- 3:06Speaker 3: I do podcasting. I have a magazine. I go out
- 3:10Speaker 3: and I do public speaking. So depending on which approach
- 3:14Speaker 3: they approach me, I have helped individuals start podcasting. I've
- 3:20Speaker 3: even helped individuals self-publish books. So I meet them where
- 3:25Speaker 3: they are. and I try to encourage them wherever they are.
- 3:31Speaker 3: So if they come to me with a desire to
- 3:35Speaker 3: utilize their speaking abilities, I try to help them create
- 3:39Speaker 3: their own podcast or try to put them on platforms
- 3:43Speaker 3: that will allow them to get out and utilize their
- 3:45Speaker 3: speaking abilities in events, public speaking events and things of
- 3:50Speaker 3: that nature.
- 3:52Speaker 2: All right. Well, Angela, if our listeners or anyone else
- 3:55Speaker 2: here would like to work with you, maybe talk to
- 3:57Speaker 2: you some more, how do we reach out to you?
- 4:00Speaker 3: So you can reach me through my email, which is
- 4:04Speaker 3: queenofcollaborations at gmail.com. I'm always open. I'm old school, so
- 4:11Speaker 3: you can pick up that phone and give me a
- 4:12Speaker 3: call at 404-338-8652. Or you can just search me on Linktree.
- 4:21Speaker 3: All of my links are under a Linktree, which is
- 4:23Speaker 3: Linktree backslash Queen of Collaborations. In a simple Google search
- 4:28Speaker 3: of Queen of Collaborations, I'm guaranteed to pop up.
