- 0:10be a farmer. This is my chicken coop and I
- 0:12come out here every day to record a podcast to teach
- 0:16distinctions, possibilities, new ways of thinking, and just bring
- 0:20some joy into the world. So welcome to the coop and let's
- 0:23start your day off in a fantastic way.
- 0:27Hey everybody, I'm back. It was such an amazing trip with
- 0:33my son and I have to say I'm I'm back and it's now son.
- 0:39I'm recording this for tomorrow. It's now Sunday night, but I'm
- 0:43getting this ready to release tomorrow morning and I'm walking
- 0:47out to the chicken coop with you getting ready to put everybody
- 0:50to bed. It's dark or darkish almost
- 0:54getting there and boy, this trip I have to tell you the things
- 0:59that actually came to light during this trip.
- 1:03My son it all it. I mean, granted that the event
- 1:06itself was amazing, worth going, worth all the travel and
- 1:12everything else. But I have to say, the coolest
- 1:14part of this whole thing really came about with my son.
- 1:18Because having him and being able to travel with him, I can
- 1:22hear all the girls in the background.
- 1:24They're all tucked in tightly and I'll do a head count when
- 1:27I'm done recording. He was so fabulous with me.
- 1:33The flight going out was really bumpy and he held my hand like I
- 1:38was. It was really bumpy and I don't
- 1:40like bumpy flights, but he actually held my hand.
- 1:43He made sure that he carried bags from me.
- 1:46He always asked, He opened doors.
- 1:48I was like, Oh my gosh, he is being such an amazing travel
- 1:52partner and we were in downtown Philadelphia and there were
- 1:58really times when it was we were in places that were just like
- 2:01not great safe spots. And that kid was would move me
- 2:06to the inside of the sidewalk without me saying anything to
- 2:09him. He was all about making sure
- 2:12that I was I feeling protected. That was totally sure.
- 2:18Made sure I had my backpack. He's like, put that around the
- 2:21front of you like things. I never even thought that he
- 2:24knew he knew and he was executing on them.
- 2:28And it was so cool to see him step into being that young man
- 2:31that's reliable that you can, you know, hold on to and really
- 2:37know that this person is I mean, this person knows what they're
- 2:40doing. It was, it was an incredible
- 2:42experience. And even throughout the show,
- 2:45while I was poking around and being me and my friend actually
- 2:50came down from New Jersey and she was going through the show
- 2:54with us. It was a, you know, a surprise
- 2:56we didn't know was going to happen.
- 2:57It was so cool to watch how he interacted with us.
- 3:01He's like the both of you. He's like watching the two of
- 3:04you. I got to keep an eye on both of
- 3:05you. You go off one way, she goes off
- 3:07another way. I'm trying to make sure
- 3:09everybody knows to stay together.
- 3:11And it was like he was developing his instincts of how
- 3:14to handle the, the, the stress of being in a situation like
- 3:18that and watching and caring for people.
- 3:21And it was so incredible. 1 because I mean, obviously it's
- 3:25my son, but two, thinking about the fact that he's grown into
- 3:29this very at 17, I mean, he's like, he's right on the cusp of
- 3:32it, but he's really grown into this very thoughtful young man.
- 3:35And I was so touched by it all and so thrilled by it all.
- 3:41And of course, he made me eat steak and cheese as much as we
- 3:44possibly could. I can't begin to tell you how I
- 3:47don't want to eat this week because I am so stuffed.
- 3:50I feel like I just, I'm done eating for a bit.
- 3:53But Needless to say, the experience of going into this
- 3:58incredibly creative environment, like off the chart and creative
- 4:01and in the plant world, I was blown away.
- 4:06I've got so much content in my head.
- 4:09Notes are filled and filled in my tablet.
- 4:13I have just been writing, thinking, talking like it.
- 4:17It was so inspiring. And I've got a bunch of pictures
- 4:21I'm going to throw up so everybody can see them.
- 4:24But I think the big take away from all of this is 1.
- 4:27I love the surprise about my son.
- 4:29I always knew it, but I, I really loved feeling it that
- 4:32way. But the biggest thing is what it
- 4:34did for my overall creativity, my overall mood, like just in
- 4:40that realm of like, Oh my gosh, I hadn't even thought about
- 4:44things like that. And my creativity just went off
- 4:46the chart. So I'm going to encourage all of
- 4:49you to do something that boosts you like that.
- 4:51Do something unexpected and try something different because holy
- 4:57cow, it was extraordinary on so many reasons.
- 5:01I could list out 10 different things.
- 5:03Two big ones were the show and the creativity itself and my
- 5:07son. And those two things just kicked
- 5:09me into this amazing trajectory for the beginning of the year.
- 5:14So I can't wait to share more with you.
- 5:17I can't wait to show you, but do something to surprise yourself
- 5:20because boy, it really worked. All right, my friends, I hope
- 5:24you have a blessed day and I will see you tomorrow.
- 5:26Bye.
