- 0:00Psalm 26 is our Psalm for the day from the book of Psalms.
- 0:06First let's pray. Dear Lord, please speak to us
- 0:09through this passage and I guess guide me in what I'm about to
- 0:17say after having studied this and lead me with the right
- 0:23words. I ask this in Jesus name, Amen.
- 0:27So in Psalm 23, I read through it and looked up things as I
- 0:32usually do. And then it, I don't know if it
- 0:35was this Psalm exactly or if it was just something that I
- 0:39actually woke up with this morning.
- 0:42And and then there were, I did look at a few this morning and
- 0:48it was Christians, different churches, you know, I guess not
- 0:56even debating, but one criticizing another.
- 0:59And I can say that I grew up in a particular religion and then I
- 1:09didn't really put any of it into practice.
- 1:12I went along and did what I was taught to do and my faith was
- 1:18pretty distant. I always believed in God and
- 1:21Jesus and the Holy Spirit. I always did.
- 1:24So I wasn't in a religion that doesn't believe in God.
- 1:29So I I definitely was in a religion that believed in God.
- 1:34But my life was not changed and I didn't have a personal
- 1:40relationship. I didn't have a personal
- 1:43understanding like who God is to me.
- 1:49I didn't read my Bible either. So, and that's what I think a
- 1:53lot of people, that's the way a lot of people are.
- 1:56I'm, I'm thinking that I'm probably like a lot of people in
- 1:59this world, you have whatever, whatever religion your family
- 2:03brings you up in and you go along with it because it's your
- 2:06family that introduced you to it.
- 2:09And I guess you could either accept it, not a guess.
- 2:11You either accept that religion or you reject it.
- 2:16And I accepted some things out of it, but not everything.
- 2:21But here's here's The thing is just like when we talk about the
- 2:26Bible, I believe and the Bible says it is and it proves to be
- 2:32true over and over again. But the Bible, it's in Timothy,
- 2:36in the book, one of the books of Timothy that says that all
- 2:39Scripture is God breathed and inspired by the Holy Spirit.
- 2:43So the authors of this Bible were inspired by God in what
- 2:48they wrote. Now, I believe that, and so
- 2:53that's going to be the foundation of what I say is that
- 2:57I believe that the Bible is true.
- 2:59And if we ever find a conflict in the Bible, it's not that the
- 3:03Bible isn't true, it's that we haven't understood what the
- 3:07Bible says and we just need to look into it more.
- 3:10And there are some things that we're not going to fully
- 3:14understand because they are complex topics that are of
- 3:19another realm, quite honestly. And that's what Jesus even said
- 3:22to Nicodemus. He's, he was trying to explain
- 3:24earthly things to Nicodemus and then said, how can I explain the
- 3:28heavenly things if you don't even get the earthly things?
- 3:31And I think that's the way we are today too.
- 3:33We're just like Nicodemus, not in every way, but you know,
- 3:36we're just similar to him where we don't know and there are
- 3:41going to be some things that we won't know until Jesus returns,
- 3:47until we actually meet God in person and and then it'll be
- 3:52revealed someday. So anyway, these things kind of
- 3:59affected me this morning where I saw one faith talking about
- 4:03another faith. And I actually, let's see, it
- 4:09was in 2017 that I began seeking.
- 4:15And so it's almost been wow, next year will be 10 years.
- 4:20And, and I, like I said, I grew up in a religion and I
- 4:24participated in it because of my family and I had some
- 4:28reservations, but I just, I didn't know anything else.
- 4:32And other people were introducing me to other places
- 4:35or they said, why don't you go here and check this out?
- 4:37And I was like, no, I don't think so.
- 4:38I'm good. And I pushed away things.
- 4:41And then finally, it was actually through a tragedy that
- 4:47I was open to exploring again, not again, but for the first
- 4:55time ever to actually seek God on my own because of me wanting
- 5:02to know God, wanting to understand, wanting to know more
- 5:06than I did. And I also went to a religious
- 5:10school all from, you know, the beginning, kindergarten all the
- 5:15way up to 8th grade. Actually, no, through high
- 5:18school. So it's not like I was ignorant
- 5:21of religion. I had religion classes that I
- 5:26went to, so the I had that background, but I I wasn't
- 5:30seeking on my own. And there is a difference.
- 5:33There's a difference to being force fed something and not
- 5:36saying that I was force fed. I'm just saying somebody else
- 5:39giving it to you, but you not seeking it.
- 5:42There's a different level of interest, I would say, in what
- 5:46somebody has. Like even if I'm speaking to
- 5:49somebody right now and they're not ready for it, they're going
- 5:51to ignore everything I say because they're not ready for
- 5:54it. There is a timing with people
- 5:56and there's things in life that happened that cause us to seek
- 6:00or cause us to question or we start evaluating our own life or
- 6:04we, we're, you know, at a place in our life right where we look
- 6:08at our lives and we're like, how did I get here?
- 6:10And is this all there is? There's lots of things that
- 6:15happen in somebody's life are a tragedy.
- 6:17And like I said, a tragedy is what brought me back to church.
- 6:21And when I went to church, I started questioning things,
- 6:27actually questioning, you know, this was a really what I would
- 6:30say as a very good person who was doing a lot of good in the
- 6:35world that was taken very untimely very early in life at
- 6:40the age of 16. And so I had a lot of questions.
- 6:45So anyway, that's, that's really how my faith journey started.
- 6:48That was almost 10 years ago that that happened.
- 6:51And because of that tragedy that made me seek God.
- 6:56And you know, God can use terrible things to accomplish
- 7:03his ultimate purpose. And not that he made that
- 7:08happen, that tragedy happened, but that tragedy happened
- 7:11because of evil in the world and the spiritual realm.
- 7:16I fully believe that right now. And after reading the Bible, I
- 7:20fully believe that happened because of evil.
- 7:23But God took that evil that was done and used it for His good.
- 7:30I don't know if I was. I'm sure I wasn't the only
- 7:34person who came to faith after that.
- 7:37There were probably many more people that were impacted.
- 7:39I have another similar story with my nephew.
- 7:43My nephew only made it to 14 months old and the Lord brought
- 7:47him home. And that was a tragedy for our
- 7:50family. And I, I look at that and you,
- 7:56you could ask God why it wasn't God who did that.
- 8:02I mean, God ultimately allowed that to happen.
- 8:06So we can't deny it. God is sovereign and we don't
- 8:09know why he did that. I certainly believe it was the
- 8:15enemy that caused it, and perhaps God just thought, you
- 8:20know, this world is the way that it is and he's in a better place
- 8:23with me, so I'm going to keep him here with me.
- 8:26We don't know and we're never going to know.
- 8:28But also in that tragedy, God has also used that tragedy where
- 8:34it made people start thinking about life and reflecting on
- 8:38their life and getting closer to Christ.
- 8:41So God can use terrible things to bring us, draw us near to
- 8:47Him. So I went a little bit off.
- 8:50I didn't intend to talk about any of that to start, but that
- 8:54just came. So I am going to now get into
- 8:58Psalm 26. I want to read it through first,
- 9:01so, and then I'll talk about it because I just want you to hear
- 9:04it the way David said. So here's what David said.
- 9:08Vindicate me, Lord, for I have led a blameless life.
- 9:13I have trusted in the Lord and have not faltered.
- 9:18Test me, Lord, and try me. Examine my heart and my mind,
- 9:23for I have always been mindful of Your unfailing love and have
- 9:28lived in reliance on Your faithfulness.
- 9:32I do not sit with the deceitful, nor do I associate with
- 9:36hypocrites. I abhor the assembly of evil
- 9:39doers and refuse to sit with the wicked.
- 9:42I wash my hands in innocence and go about your altar, Lord,
- 9:47proclaiming aloud your praise and telling of all your
- 9:52wonderful deeds. Lord, I love the house where you
- 9:56live, the place where Your glory dwells.
- 9:59Do not take me, do not take away my soul along with the sinners,
- 10:05my life with those who are bloodthirsty, in whose hands are
- 10:11wicked schemes, whose right hands are full of bribes.
- 10:15I lead a blameless life. Deliver me and be merciful to
- 10:20me. My feet stand on level ground in
- 10:24the great congregation. I will praise the Lord.
- 10:29That's the end of the Psalm. Now I will go through as I've
- 10:34done before and every time where it says Lord David uses the
- 10:40personal name of God, which we say is Yahweh or Yahweh.
- 10:47I mean, it's more like a breath. There are no consonants or there
- 10:50are no vowels in it. It's just all consonants.
- 10:53So anyway, going back to maybe I'll do the study Bible
- 11:00questions and answers and then I will get into what I researched
- 11:04for this. So how could David have claimed
- 11:08to be blameless? Though he was not perfect, David
- 11:11was a man of integrity. He was not claiming that he had
- 11:16never sinned. Rather, he was claiming to be
- 11:18sincere in his attempts to honor and serve God.
- 11:23How does God's glory dwell on earth in David's day, the ark of
- 11:26the Covenant and the Tabernacle with physical signs of God's
- 11:30presence. They were tangible structures
- 11:32that help people visualize God's glory.
- 11:35Even so, people knew that God could not be confined to a box
- 11:39or a temple. Today, God's presence dwells in
- 11:44a special way within His people. What does level ground signify?
- 11:52This is a place of confidence and security where 1 does not
- 11:56trip and fall over temptations or evil.
- 12:01It may also refer literally to level courtyards where the godly
- 12:05gathered to worship the Lord. What was the great congregation?
- 12:10The congregation gathered to worship God.
- 12:12Some suggest this anticipates a future gathering of all those
- 12:17around the world who serve the Lord.
- 12:21So that is the end of the questions and answers.
- 12:23Now I have a lot to talk about and the topic is salvation,
- 12:28righteousness, sin, belief, grace works and quote Jesus is
- 12:37the boss. So all those topics are what I'm
- 12:40going to talk about and I'm not talking about my opinion, but I
- 12:45will talk about I will read from scripture When I I I will tell
- 12:51kind of AI don't know if you'll think it's funny, but I did do
- 12:56about Jesus being the boss. If we want to say that we are
- 13:01saved, that means Jesus is our boss.
- 13:05Simply put, like he is the Lord of our life.
- 13:09He is the king of kings. He rules over us.
- 13:13What he says is what we do. We are his servant.
- 13:17We are not the boss of him. We don't make the rules and then
- 13:21he works around them. He makes the rules and we obey
- 13:25them. He's a ruler.
- 13:28He will be a ruler, A literal ruler here on earth.
- 13:31So in very basic human terms, Jesus is the boss.
- 13:38And a lot of people that call themselves Christians, they love
- 13:41the fact that Jesus died for us and made a way for us to get the
- 13:46rewards of the Kingdom of God. But at the same time they there
- 13:54are some who deny Jesus is the boss.
- 13:58I mean, because of, I don't know, people use grace in that
- 14:03way. Like I can do whatever I want to
- 14:05do and I don't think the Bible supports that.
- 14:10So anyway, Jesus, the boss of this funny story that I had
- 14:15about that was when my child, I'll just keep it generic.
- 14:19My child was just in before preschool and was in a daycare
- 14:27center and the person who ran the center had a talk with me
- 14:32one day when I came to pick him up and said we had to have a
- 14:35talk today because your child and I were like having this
- 14:42debate over who was the boss. And and so this my child would
- 14:47say like I'd a boss, but the person there who is in charge of
- 14:54the children was telling my child, no, you're not the boss.
- 15:00And I don't know why that came up, but I didn't.
- 15:04I don't have a really rebellious child and I don't know what
- 15:08caused that to happen. But it, I think it's pretty true
- 15:13of children at that age before they get into school, that they
- 15:18kind of push the limits to see what they can get away with.
- 15:21And they kind of treat everything as I'm the boss of my
- 15:25own life and you're in my world. I mean, it's pretty much it
- 15:29revolves around me. Like feed me, change my diaper,
- 15:32all those kinds of things. Like the world revolves around
- 15:35me. That's just a perfect indication
- 15:37of how like sweet and cute little kids are.
- 15:40But at the same time, how selfish we all are.
- 15:44We all came from that. We all were that so to see.
- 15:48I had a hard time seeing children as, quote, sinners.
- 15:53But then when you look at that, you see that we all are.
- 15:58As a young child, everything revolved around us.
- 16:00And over time we Start learning that everything doesn't revolve
- 16:04around us. Some people never learn that,
- 16:07but most of, well, I'm not saying most.
- 16:10I don't even know the quantity who believes that or who
- 16:12doesn't. But at some point, people who
- 16:15mature do recognize that we aren't the boss of everything.
- 16:21We do have someone who is the boss over us.
- 16:24And it was just kind of a funny story for me.
- 16:27I thought it was hilarious because my child is what I would
- 16:32have called a good person. And to think that my child had
- 16:36that conversation with an instructor, that's not a good
- 16:40thing. But it was kind of funny me
- 16:43knowing the personality of the child and knowing that there,
- 16:48you know, there wasn't any like intended, I don't know.
- 16:55Well, I guess there was a little bit of a rebellion there, but
- 16:59but just like in an innocent way, not in a premeditated way.
- 17:05So I just thought it was kind of funny.
- 17:08But yes, that we had to have a talk about who the boss is and
- 17:13what things they are in charge of and what things they're not
- 17:16in charge of because to an extent, you know, you have to
- 17:18have a lot of protection with your children too.
- 17:20So anyway, we all are in that same category.
- 17:24We're all sinners, we're all selfish.
- 17:25We think we're the boss of everything when we're really
- 17:27little, but we're really not. And ultimately God is our boss.
- 17:32Whether we want to admit it or not, God is our boss.
- 17:36So that's going to, that was one of the topics going to the very
- 17:42first statement that David makes about his blameless life.
- 17:47That's a translation situation. And the NASB says it a lot
- 17:54better because I think you could.
- 17:57I mean, as soon as you read it and say I have a blameless life,
- 17:59you start thinking, well, David counted as men.
- 18:02David slept with Bathsheba. David had Bathsheba's wife
- 18:06killed. David was not a a didn't have a
- 18:10blameless life. In fact, David couldn't even
- 18:13build the temple for the Lord, even though he desired it
- 18:16because of the people he had killed.
- 18:18He had killed other people in wars and God said, no, I can't
- 18:22have you do that. So there were a lot of things
- 18:25that were documented in the Bible that shows us that David
- 18:29didn't leave lead a blameless life, but he also was one after
- 18:38God's own heart. He was somebody who did seek
- 18:42God. And so like I said, the NASB
- 18:45version is a little better than the NIB version in this
- 18:48situation because it says here's what the NASB says.
- 18:54Vindicate me, O Lord, for I have walked in my integrity and I
- 19:01have trusted in the Lord without wavering.
- 19:05That's a little bit it kind of says the same thing, but it's a
- 19:08little bit different It's saying like I trust in the Lord and I,
- 19:15you know, I have integrity so I think someone could say they
- 19:21have integrity but still mess up every once in a while.
- 19:24Overall, I think it's kind of an overall thing and that's just my
- 19:28opinion. You could look it up and that
- 19:30might be wrong, but I would say that something about, you know,
- 19:33having being a person of integrity doesn't mean that you
- 19:38are always 100% that way, but that generally speaking you are.
- 19:45So again, this is something that when you study Scripture, you
- 19:50can see these kinds of things. And one of the main things was
- 19:54he trusted in the Lord and has not failed in that.
- 20:00Even when he was sinful, not was, but when he did sinful
- 20:04things, then he did turn to the Lord when he recognized it or
- 20:11when he was remorseful for it. Then the next verse says test me
- 20:17Lord and try me examine my heart and my mind.
- 20:20So he's this is where the Lord, you know, I don't know.
- 20:28It's it's another one of those things where it does say examine
- 20:34and test me so and try me so God will you know in this examine,
- 20:47it really means to refine or purge.
- 20:50This is what where God would do this and examine and testing are
- 20:55a little bit different, obviously, because that first
- 20:58word is examine me Lord and try me.
- 21:01That's the testing part. So the NIV kind of the choice of
- 21:05words makes it a little bit more confusing, but harder to
- 21:12understand. When you say, well, examine and
- 21:14test aren't the same things, they I guess they could because
- 21:18we have an exam, which isn't a test, which is a test in school.
- 21:22But if you examine something, you're looking for something.
- 21:27So I guess it is testing. But I also see that a test is
- 21:33different than examining because someone could examine someone
- 21:38and then test them subsequent to that.
- 21:41So anyway, these are just like minutiae details, but when you
- 21:45really study the word. And like I said, I I love the
- 21:49resource they provide at blueletterbible.org because you
- 21:55can look up any part of Scripture and can see the
- 21:59original Hebrew words, which really enlightens what we're
- 22:03reading it. You know, it shows us that this
- 22:06David's using, for example, the personal name of God every time
- 22:10that he says Lord. So it could have been translated
- 22:14better by putting Yahweh in there or even the letters YHWH.
- 22:22So there's another part where verse 3 where it says that I
- 22:28have always been mindful of your unfailing love and had lived in
- 22:32reliance on your faithfulness. When I looked up the Hebrew in
- 22:36that one and that verse for three, it said something similar
- 22:42but different because so the NASB says for your loving
- 22:50kindness is before my eyes and I have walked in your truth.
- 22:56So it kind of changes the way it's stated because in the NIV
- 23:01version it says for I have always been mindful of your
- 23:04failing love and have lived in reliance on your faithfulness.
- 23:08It's like he's talking about himself here.
- 23:10But if you go to the NASB version, it says for your loving
- 23:15kindness is before my eyes and I have walked in your truth.
- 23:20It puts the focus on God first and then our response or not
- 23:24our, but David's response to God.
- 23:27And so it says it much differently than it than the way
- 23:31the NIV version says where it says I've always been mindful of
- 23:35your unfailing love. It says the same thing, but it
- 23:38speaks it differently. So I just found this when I was
- 23:42looking at the Hebrew words again and the this loving
- 23:46kindness. It's a special type of love.
- 23:50And there are different translations of the word love.
- 23:55But this is has said HESED and and I know there's supposed to
- 24:00be a lot of more emphasis in it than what I just did with it,
- 24:03but I'm not good at that and I'm kind of sick.
- 24:05So I don't want to do that at the moment, but that kind of
- 24:10love is a very distinguishable type of love.
- 24:15And that's what is being used. And I think that's something
- 24:18it's like, yeah, an unfailing love.
- 24:21So it's something like higher than anything.
- 24:23I mean, it's something really important.
- 24:27Let's see. It says it's, it's mercy, it's
- 24:30kindness, it's loving kindness, it's goodness, it's favor.
- 24:37So it's all of those things. It says kindness by implication
- 24:40towards God, piety, favor, good deed, kindness, merciful.
- 24:47So mercy, I mean, that's like it encompasses much more than just
- 24:51what we would call the what we would define the word love.
- 24:56But this is from God and it's it.
- 24:58They're just, there's so much that's said in the Hebrew words
- 25:03that if we just read through this, we will miss out on.
- 25:07Then he says, I do not sit with the deceitful, nor do I
- 25:12associate with the hypocrites. Well, that made me think about
- 25:16other verses in Scripture where the deceitful, well, it's
- 25:20talking about I do not sit with the deceitful being defined as
- 25:23like falsehood, lying, being vain, being overly proud.
- 25:28And what did I write down here? Overly proud and provide, but
- 25:42providing no useful result are fruitless or pointless.
- 25:48So the people that you know they're they're proud in that
- 25:52way. It's not a deceitful like
- 25:55there's a lot of different types of deceit, but this is a certain
- 25:58kind of a deceit. It's it's a vanity like being
- 26:02proud but having no useful result, being overly proud and
- 26:09having no useful result. So that's what religion can do
- 26:14to us. Religion.
- 26:15If we abide by all of the religious things that we do,
- 26:20then we can be overly proud about something.
- 26:24But yet not fruitful, if that. Hopefully that makes sense
- 26:28because I think that's what happens in a lot of people who
- 26:32go to church and are perfectly religious, but yet they don't do
- 26:41the things that are in Scripture.
- 26:44They do what the church tells them to do, but not necessarily
- 26:50what's in Scripture. And I guess I could talk more
- 26:54about that. I will talk more about it as it
- 26:58relates to the actual Scripture from the Bible.
- 27:01And then it says, nor do I associate with hypocrites.
- 27:04Well, hypocrites would be those kind of deceitful people.
- 27:06What they look one way, but they're actually another and
- 27:10David's saying I don't associate with them.
- 27:13So they're pretenders. When I thought about that was
- 27:19also how God had said about foreign wives too, and so I will
- 27:25talk about that too. So first of all, let's talk
- 27:28about what Scripture says about what's the kind of the
- 27:35hypocrites that made me think about what Paul was saying.
- 27:43Well, so Paul has a lot to say about this.
- 27:47So the pretenders, let's go to 1st Corinthians chapter, First
- 27:58Corinthians chapter 5, verse 9, because that's where I want to
- 28:04kind of focus on for a moment when I, this is part of the
- 28:08topic. So what Paul said, he said, I
- 28:11wrote to you in my letter not to associate with sexually immoral
- 28:17people. So that would be an example of a
- 28:19hypocrite. And so Paul is warning the
- 28:22Corinthians, I wrote to you in my letter not to associate with
- 28:27sexually immoral people. But then he clarifies that he
- 28:32says in verse 10, not at all meaning the people of the world
- 28:37who are immoral or the greedy and swindlers or idolaters.
- 28:43In that case, you would have to leave the world.
- 28:46You would have to leave this world.
- 28:48And so that's almost, I mean, it's not funny, but it, it is.
- 28:52I mean, it's just like Paul is just stating like how severe the
- 28:56world was and is in regard to all the things that God warns US
- 29:03against. And, and it's like if we said we
- 29:06were not going to be hang around with any hypocrites in the
- 29:09world, then we would have to leave the world because there
- 29:14are hypocrites all over the world.
- 29:17Essentially. That's what Paul is saying.
- 29:18And he's writing to the Corinthians.
- 29:21And first he said, you know, you wrote to them about sexual,
- 29:24immoral, immorally sexually immoral people.
- 29:29But then he wasn't referring to the people of the world.
- 29:33He was read. He was talking about people
- 29:35inside the church, not talking about those who are not saved,
- 29:41but those who claim to be saved, the hypocrites.
- 29:45So verse 11, he says, but now I am writing to you that you must
- 29:50not associate with anyone who claims to be a brother or sister
- 29:57but is sexually immoral or greedy, an idolater or
- 30:02slanderer, A drunkard or swindler, do not even eat with
- 30:09such people. That's pretty harsh, isn't it,
- 30:13that he says that. So he's talking to the
- 30:16Corinthians church. They were dealing with someone
- 30:18who was, you know, what was, I think the situation was he was
- 30:25having sex with his father's wife.
- 30:28Now, who knows it, It didn't sound like it was his mother.
- 30:33It sounded like it was his father's wife.
- 30:36His father may have married a younger woman, and that was
- 30:40happening, but he was in the church and people were not
- 30:43saying anything about it. They were letting it go on.
- 30:47And Paul was like, hey, no, don't do this.
- 30:51And basically Paul told him, turn him.
- 30:54Turn, you know, get him out of the church and hand him over to
- 30:59Satan so that he can be, you know, hopefully be saved
- 31:03someday. So obviously he wasn't saved,
- 31:09but he was in the church and he was corrupting those and none of
- 31:13the church was saying anything about it.
- 31:16But Paul doesn't just talk about sexually immoral.
- 31:19He lists a whole bunch of other things.
- 31:21So they're greedy, idolater, slanderer or a liar, a drunkard
- 31:27or swindler. Do not even eat with such
- 31:29people. And why would Paul say that?
- 31:35Probably because the same reason why God would say don't take
- 31:39foreign wives, because you start hanging out with them, you start
- 31:42doing what they're doing, and you get further and further away
- 31:47from God. And Paul's trying to protect his
- 31:51sheep, the ones he shepherded, He's trying to keep them on the
- 31:56right path, keep them close to God.
- 32:01And the more that you associate with people of the world,
- 32:07depending on how strong you are, but the more you well, if you
- 32:12connect with someone, That's why Paul was saying, you know, don't
- 32:15take well, not Paul. God was saying not to marry
- 32:20outside of the Israelites because the different tribes of
- 32:24Israel to the original Israelites because they
- 32:27worshipped foreign gods. It had nothing to do with any
- 32:31kind of racism. There is no racism in the Bible,
- 32:35but it had the IT had to do with where their allegiance was, who
- 32:41they were serving, and the foreign wives were serving other
- 32:45gods. In fact, that's actually what
- 32:47led eventually to Solomon's downfall.
- 32:51He took on all these wives. He didn't obey God.
- 32:54He took on all these wives and they started building temples,
- 32:59actually not God temples, but temples for their gods, like
- 33:04false, fake gods. And he was doing this for his
- 33:07wives. And think about that, how what
- 33:10an insult or a slap in the face that was to God when Solomon
- 33:15built the temple for God, God gave him that privilege to be
- 33:19the the first one built. And then this guy goes out and
- 33:23starts building temples to other gods.
- 33:25I mean, God must have just thought, Oh my, can't believe
- 33:30you did that. But not it doesn't surprise God.
- 33:34God knows what's in our hearts. And so God saw what was in
- 33:39Solomon's heart. And there's a lot of interesting
- 33:43things about Solomon in Scripture.
- 33:46But anyway, so Paul here is talking to the Corinthians and
- 33:50he's, and then he says in verse 12, what business is it of mine
- 33:55to judge those outside the church?
- 33:58Are you not to judge those inside?
- 34:01God will judge those outside, expel the wicked person from
- 34:07among you. So Paul's referring to this
- 34:10person as wicked and he's saying get them out of here.
- 34:16They weren't. They weren't taking over the
- 34:19authority of the church and protecting the church.
- 34:21They were allowing sin to enter into it.
- 34:24And when that happens, it starts like God defines it, sin as
- 34:29yeast. A little yeast spreads through
- 34:33the whole loaf, all the dough. A little yeast will spread
- 34:37through that. That's what sin does.
- 34:39It spreads through the whole congregation.
- 34:42So God is God's trying to protect the rules that he makes
- 34:49are trying to protect our relationship with him.
- 34:53Essentially, that's what when you when I started studying
- 34:58scripture, I finally realized that they weren't things to
- 35:01limit us. They were things they, you know,
- 35:04they are things to limit us. But there's a purpose behind
- 35:07that. It's not to take away fun.
- 35:09It is to keep us protected from the evil 1.
- 35:14That's what it's there for. That's what God's rules are
- 35:17there for, to protect. And the only way that you'll see
- 35:21that is by getting to know who God is through Scripture.
- 35:24And that's what's happened to me over the last five years, I
- 35:28guess, or I don't know how many years.
- 35:30It's been 2019. No, it's been longer than that.
- 35:32So seven years, I guess that I've been reading the Bible,
- 35:36studying the Bible, not just reading it, but my eyes have
- 35:40been open to that and I know it's true because I've seen it.
- 35:44There were so many questions that I had when I was reading
- 35:47the Bible and so many things I now understand that I was so
- 35:51confused about at the beginning of reading the Bible.
- 35:55So now I'm going to talk about the foreign wives situation.
- 35:59So this is again, this is where Solomon if you want to read
- 36:02about what he did in first Kings Chapter 11, verse 8.
- 36:07He did the same for all his foreign wives who burned incense
- 36:12and Oxford sacrifices to their gods.
- 36:16This talking about Solomon and I'm not going to I could talk
- 36:21forever when you go into these different subjects, but he just
- 36:24what I was saying. He built temples for their the
- 36:28gods they worshipped and it really led to his downfall.
- 36:33So there was another situation about foreign wives in Ezra in
- 36:37the book of Ezra chapter 10. I'm going to verse 11.
- 36:41Now honor the Lord, the God of your ancestors, and do his will
- 36:47separate yourselves from the peoples around you and from your
- 36:53foreign wives. Again, these are these were
- 37:00attempts to protect the people, to protect their relationship
- 37:05with God. And in Ezra 1044, it says it
- 37:11said all these had married foreign women and some of them
- 37:16had children by these wives. So it was becoming very, I don't
- 37:25know how you say it, it was mixed up in terms of what God or
- 37:30plural gods were people worshipping.
- 37:33And it was, it gets confusing when there's a lot of things in
- 37:38the in our world today. It's very confusing not to, not
- 37:42to me necessarily, but to people who see like all these different
- 37:48religions and they're like, well, how do we know which one's
- 37:50right? I mean, that's confusion.
- 37:53And as Satan's the author of Confusion, why do you think
- 37:56there are so many different religions, Satan?
- 38:00I mean, that's what my opinion is because there was one.
- 38:05There was, you know, there's just like the way what Jesus
- 38:08taught and then all these like splinters off.
- 38:11I mean, some of this is, you know, for good reasons that some
- 38:14had false doctrine or false doctrine creeped into original
- 38:19the original way that Jesus taught.
- 38:23So that did that does explain, you know, it was a good thing
- 38:26that some different religions departed from others because of,
- 38:34you know, corruption. So that is kind of necessary.
- 38:37But then there's ones that aren't even Christian that are
- 38:39out there. And then people start saying
- 38:42like, you know, well, I don't know.
- 38:45How do I know that, you know, Christian Christianity is the
- 38:49right way. There's also Islam, there's
- 38:52also, you know, Buddhism, there's also Hinduism.
- 38:57There's all these different things.
- 38:58How do I know what's right? Well, that's a good question
- 39:02because it depends on well, not a good question of what is right
- 39:06because there is only one way Jesus said that and and that you
- 39:10us actually have to believe in Jesus to I believe the truth
- 39:15that came from his mouth, but he is the way, the truth and the
- 39:21life and no one comes to the Father except through him.
- 39:25It's all through Jesus like our salvation is through Jesus.
- 39:29Only anyone who doesn't know Jesus doesn't believe in Jesus
- 39:36will not enter God's Kingdom. People are free to choose
- 39:41whatever religion they want to, but not all religions are going
- 39:46to lead you to the Kingdom of God.
- 39:49If you want to be in the Kingdom of God, there's only one way,
- 39:53and that's by believing in Jesus.
- 39:57So you have to ask yourself, what do you believe about the
- 40:00afterlife and not what do you believe?
- 40:02What is the truth about the afterlife?
- 40:06God revealed it to us through scripture.
- 40:10We have access to the Bible. We can read it.
- 40:14We can find out. We have no excuse for not
- 40:20knowing except our own resistance to learning and
- 40:26seeking God. If we don't get it right, we
- 40:32only have ourselves to blame. We can't blame anyone else
- 40:35because it's up to us individually.
- 40:38And if we call on God, God says if we seek him, we will find
- 40:43him. So if you are in a place of
- 40:46confusion about what religion is right, show me the way.
- 40:50People have prayed to God and and people have done things so
- 40:55simple as to say God, if you're real, make yourself known.
- 41:00And when they were doing that with sincere heart, it has
- 41:03happened. If you truly with your heart,
- 41:07you really, really, really want to know him.
- 41:09Not because somebody said you should, but you want to know who
- 41:14is this one who created me? Why did you create me?
- 41:19What is my purpose? How do I get to know you?
- 41:23What things should I know about you When you start seeking that,
- 41:28that's when God will reveal himself to you.
- 41:30When you truly desire to know him, he will reveal himself to
- 41:35you because it's happened over and over again.
- 41:39People have had these experiences.
- 41:43So let's see there's I think I've made.
- 41:46That's all I needed to say. Excuse me.
- 41:49I'm so sorry about this. OK, the next part that there's
- 41:58something else that I that stood out to me in this.
- 42:02It was verse 9 that says do not take away my soul along with
- 42:07sinners. And so people would might say,
- 42:11well, sinners, all of us are sinners.
- 42:15So what does that mean? Do not take away my soul along
- 42:18with the sinners. Well, all of us would be gone,
- 42:22right? Yes, that's true, because the
- 42:26wages of sin, what we get paid for sin is death.
- 42:34That's just eternal separation from God.
- 42:36It's a different place than God's Kingdom.
- 42:39And that's what we get paid. That's what the Bible tells us.
- 42:43When we read the Bible, the wages of sin is death.
- 42:48So then people say, OK, well, I can't stop sinning.
- 42:52So does that mean that I'm going to not be in God's Kingdom?
- 42:56No, it doesn't mean that because Jesus gave us the way it's
- 43:04through him, the only way through him.
- 43:08And it's we need to understand about sacrifices.
- 43:11If we don't understand about sacrifices from the Old
- 43:14Testament. And this is another interesting
- 43:17thing when I studied that more was the Old Testament
- 43:20sacrifices, all the things that were done, they were for
- 43:25unintentional sin. Search that in Leviticus,
- 43:30because I was searching, I was like, well, OK, which ones were
- 43:34for unintentional and which ones were for like willful, like one
- 43:38of those decisions where you, you, you know, this isn't what
- 43:42I'm supposed to do, but you want to do it.
- 43:46And so you're like, God will forgive me.
- 43:48I'll just do this because I want to.
- 43:52There is nothing in Leviticus that says that sacrifice gets
- 44:00rid of that sin that you just did.
- 44:03When you do that, there is nothing, nothing at all.
- 44:08Those were for unintentional. That means like that kind of a
- 44:11sin that I was just explaining was kind of a premeditated sin.
- 44:15It's like when you had that conviction from the Holy Spirit.
- 44:19That's who I believe gives us those feelings of guilt, like I
- 44:22shouldn't really do this, but I want to.
- 44:25When we have that, that's us being at war with God.
- 44:29Struggling with God is when we know what we're supposed to do
- 44:34or what we shouldn't do, and we do it anyway.
- 44:39And that's intentional sin. And there were no sacrifices for
- 44:44intentional sin. They were, there were sacrifices
- 44:48for unintentional sin. So look that up if you don't
- 44:51believe me, because I I would only say that after having
- 44:56looked it up. So then we think about, well,
- 45:00what about what about what Jesus did?
- 45:02Like, you know, Jesus was the only sacrifice that actually
- 45:10atoned for our sins, the one sacrifice on the cross when he
- 45:15died. That is the only way that we can
- 45:20be forgiven. It's through the Son of God's
- 45:24obedience to the Father and his willingness to come here on
- 45:31earth because he was in eternity with God, but wasn't with God,
- 45:37with the Holy Spirit, but he came to earth in human form so
- 45:44that he could die for us. Because God one of the spiritual
- 45:49laws, and I'm not claiming to know all the spiritual laws or I
- 45:51don't even know if it's a spiritual law, but it's a law of
- 45:54God. This substitute life for life.
- 45:59So a human being had to die, but no human being was perfect, only
- 46:04God was perfect. No human on earth can save
- 46:08themselves. Only God could save us.
- 46:12That's why it's so important to know who Jesus is, because Jesus
- 46:17was the Son of God and he is and was perfect or was and is
- 46:24perfect. He led a sinless life.
- 46:28Humans cannot say that only God can say that only God is good.
- 46:34Jesus said that he kind of rhetorically said this to I
- 46:37think a Pharisee that said why you call me good?
- 46:40Only God is good. So every single person, we may
- 46:44call people good, but God doesn't.
- 46:46He sees their sin in every single person's life.
- 46:49So we are, we are doomed from the beginning.
- 46:52We cannot be in God's Kingdom except because of Jesus.
- 47:00He makes a way for us. His death on the cross took care
- 47:05of what needed to happen for us to enter the Kingdom of God.
- 47:11Now Jesus himself who died on the cross, he didn't tell
- 47:16people, when I die on the cross, it's all going to be good for
- 47:19you. First of all, I think he had to
- 47:20kind of keep it a secret, keep it hidden so that nobody
- 47:25ultimately knew why he was. I mean, he knew all along he was
- 47:28going to die in the cross, but he kind of, he told his closest
- 47:32people, I'm going to die. He knew ahead of time, he knew
- 47:37what was coming. He knew, I mean, the whole
- 47:39reason he was here was to accomplish this.
- 47:42But if he broadcast that everywhere and said, hey, I'm
- 47:44going to die in the cross and all you guys are going to be
- 47:46able to come into the Kingdom of God.
- 47:48Do you think people would probably protect Jesus's life
- 47:51with all they had, especially the enemy?
- 47:54The enemy would never let him get to the cross.
- 47:57If Jesus proclaimed I'm going to die on the cross and then all of
- 48:02you can come into my Father's Kingdom.
- 48:06I mean, that would be not a very intelligent thing to do.
- 48:09So of course Christ had to not claim that.
- 48:14But he did tell. He didn't say exactly how it was
- 48:17going to happen. He just said he would have to
- 48:18die to his his closest people. Like he explained it as much as
- 48:22he could without giving it away to the enemy.
- 48:26But that had to be somewhat of a guarded, known topic in order to
- 48:33accomplish God's will on the cross.
- 48:36Jesus had to be covert about this.
- 48:39He had to accomplish God's will by not broadcasting exactly what
- 48:44he was doing beforehand. But he did tell his closest
- 48:49people this is what's going to happen.
- 48:51And he spoke in metaphors so that when it all did happen,
- 48:55they could look back and say, oh, wow, he was telling us this
- 49:00all along, but we didn't get it. And that's what's happened to us
- 49:04today. When we read the Bible, we see
- 49:06the things that Jesus said and then we, we know the end result.
- 49:10You know, we had that insight about what actually happened.
- 49:16And then we could say, wow, he was telling it all along in a
- 49:20very vague, descriptive way, but he was saying it.
- 49:24And he, his purpose of saying it was so that he could also prove
- 49:28that he was God, that he knew this all ahead of time.
- 49:34So it was documented what he said.
- 49:37And then eventually after the fact, then everybody started
- 49:42looking at this again, like, what did he say about this?
- 49:45And you know, having the what was written down as a resource
- 49:50or something we could reflect on.
- 49:53But so let's talk about sin and just about how that.
- 49:59So here's one thing, OK, I, I forgot I started to go there and
- 50:03then I got sidetracked. Jesus, the person, the one who
- 50:08died on the cross. Again, in John chapter 3, he
- 50:13said this to Nicodemus. He didn't say I'm going to dry
- 50:16in the cross and then you guys are all like, OK, so don't worry
- 50:21about anything. No, he said to Nicodemus that
- 50:26this is the one he knew he was going to die on the cross.
- 50:30He didn't say, don't worry, I've got it taken care of.
- 50:32You don't have to worry about anything.
- 50:35I'm going to take care of it. He could have been that vague
- 50:37about it and nobody could know what it was that he was going to
- 50:41accomplish. And then just, you know, later
- 50:43on, say, see, I took care of it. You didn't have to know what it
- 50:46was, but I did take care of it. See, he didn't do that to
- 50:49Nicodemus. He said no one can enter the
- 50:53Kingdom of God unless they are born again.
- 51:00Born again, you must be born again.
- 51:04This is the person Jesus who said who died on the cross for
- 51:09our sins, is telling everybody you have to be born again.
- 51:13It means that there's something that is in response to Jesus's
- 51:20death on the cross. If Jesus didn't die on the
- 51:23cross, none of us could get into the Kingdom of God.
- 51:26So don't ever let anybody tell you anything differently than
- 51:30that. Jesus is the only way.
- 51:33But after he did that for everybody, even the people from
- 51:36as far back as Genesis, all those who had died before him.
- 51:41His death on the cross did this for all mankind and for all who
- 51:47came after him, which would be us.
- 51:49This was done for all of us, everyone, every human being.
- 51:54So he covers everyone. But just because Jesus died on
- 51:59the cross doesn't mean that every single person is going
- 52:01into God's Kingdom, does it? And then people say, well, all
- 52:06you have to do is say you believe in Jesus and then you're
- 52:08going to be in the Kingdom. Well, yes, but believe means
- 52:14something a lot more than what some people think, believe
- 52:20means. And if we confess with our mouth
- 52:22that Jesus is Lord, I mean, people will say that, yes.
- 52:27But if you confess that with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, I
- 52:31mean, that's probably true. If you do say that and you mean
- 52:36it and you know that he's the Son of God, that is the Holy
- 52:40Spirit. Because Jesus said that to
- 52:43Peter. He said you couldn't even have.
- 52:46Well, he said, who am I to Peter?
- 52:49And he said you're the Messiah. And he said you could have known
- 52:52that except for that God enabled you to know that.
- 52:55So if someone has the Holy Spirit, they will truly believe.
- 53:00But again, like I said, believe is something really important
- 53:03because there's this verse that we'll get to later and it's with
- 53:06I think it's, I think it might be Jude or James, I can't
- 53:09remember which one. James maybe where he says even
- 53:12the demons believe and shudder. So you have to think about that.
- 53:17Are the demons going to be in God's Kingdom?
- 53:20No, so we have to know what believe means.
- 53:24Believe is a critical word, so we have to know about sin.
- 53:28What does it mean? Like all of us are sinners,
- 53:31Jesus made the way. But what happens when we're born
- 53:34again? When we're born again, Jesus
- 53:39asked the Father for the Holy Spirit and gives the Holy Spirit
- 53:44to us. And when we believe the things
- 53:50that Jesus taught, when we believe what's in the Bible, you
- 53:55have to also remember, and I'm going to get to this verse 2,
- 53:59that Jesus said repent and believe.
- 54:04He didn't say just believe, He said repent and believe.
- 54:09Repent means to change, to feel remorse about something that
- 54:18you've done and then become a different person.
- 54:23Repent and believe. That's what Jesus said.
- 54:28And a lot of churches haven't been talking about repentance.
- 54:31They talk about all the good things.
- 54:33I described it before, like they give you the dessert, all the
- 54:37good stuff, but they don't give you the meat and the vegetables
- 54:41are the protein and the vegetables.
- 54:44This the sustenance they give you the the good stuff that's
- 54:47not actually like good for you all alone.
- 54:50Like dessert full of sugar. Sugar causes diseases.
- 54:54So let's think about that too. But something sweet, you know,
- 54:58they give you the sweet part, but not the part that kind of
- 55:01makes you uncomfortable. And that's a another reason why
- 55:05I actually do this podcast, because the Bible tells us
- 55:09differently. So if you're in a church that
- 55:12just gives you all of the the good stuff and you never hear
- 55:17anything that calls you into taking a look at your life and
- 55:24living out what Christ said and being in the word and repenting,
- 55:31repenting. It's something that we have to
- 55:33do, you know, regularly. Not to say that we're going to
- 55:38be like sinning every second, but there are times where even
- 55:43somebody who has the Holy Spirit, because we have not yet
- 55:47been perfected, we're going to be perfected once Jesus returns
- 55:51and gives us our immortal bodies.
- 55:53Right now we are in mortal bodies, meaning we will die
- 55:56someday. Except for those who are alive
- 55:58and remain when Christ returns, those people are not going to
- 56:02experience death. They will be gathered to him
- 56:05without dying and they will be changed in an instant.
- 56:08That's going to be remarkable. So like if Jesus comes in our
- 56:10lifetime, that would be so wonderful to be in that group of
- 56:14people. But but on the other hand,
- 56:17people who have had near death experiences have said that when
- 56:22they actually died, they didn't feel it.
- 56:25So that's also it's probably, you know, either way would be
- 56:30good because to be absent from our bodies is to be pertinent
- 56:33with Christ. That's what Paul tells us.
- 56:35So anyway, kind of going a little bit sidetracked there,
- 56:40but believing and being saved and righteousness and sin, those
- 56:47are and and grace and works. Those are all like very, very
- 56:52important topics to know the truth, not to just accept
- 57:00whatever the church you go to says, compare it to the Bible.
- 57:05Check out the Bible. Because my concern is that
- 57:08people are not being prepared. And if Jesus returns soon, you
- 57:14want to be prepared because it says that when He returns, if
- 57:17you're not prepared, the door is going to be shut and you're not
- 57:21coming in to the Kingdom. So it's important to be
- 57:26prepared. And that's another reason why I
- 57:29say the things that I talk about.
- 57:32So I'm going to read a couple things about sinning and topic
- 57:38that nobody likes, and you might turn me off at this point.
- 57:41But it's important, like I said, because it's not to condemn
- 57:45anybody. It's so that you know the truth
- 57:47and so that you can prepare yourself for when Jesus returns
- 57:51because you cannot keep on sinning and be in God's Kingdom.
- 57:57And don't let anybody tell you that grace covers that.
- 58:01Grace does not cover intentional sin.
- 58:06And I will read you a verse that's in Hebrews chapter 10, I
- 58:10think. I think it's verse 26 maybe.
- 58:13But oh, actually I have it here. OK.
- 58:17So I want to make that clear. And there's a lot of people that
- 58:20are deceived by what grace is and what they can do.
- 58:25And that's that's just something that concerns me about a lot of
- 58:29people who grew up in the church and were taught this.
- 58:33So in first of all, in Exodus 2020, this is kind of
- 58:37interesting because it's 2020, just like perfect vision.
- 58:40Moses said to his people, do not be afraid.
- 58:44God has come to test you so that the fear of God will be with you
- 58:50to keep you from sinning. Isn't that interesting?
- 58:55Like the first of all other places in the Bible says the
- 58:58fear of God is the beginning of wisdom.
- 59:01So let's let's think about that for a minute.
- 59:05And Moses is saying God has come to test you so that the fear of
- 59:11God will be with you to keep you from sinning.
- 59:16So this fear is, yes, there's a reverence about God, but it's
- 59:23also like, let's see, when the people saw the Thunder and
- 59:29lightning and heard the trumpet and saw the mountain in smoke,
- 59:32they trembled with fear. Do you think that's a fear?
- 59:36Well, I mean, it's kind of like awesomeness, but they stayed as
- 59:40at a distance. If something was that awesome to
- 59:43me, I would want to go to it. That kind of fear that I think
- 59:48Moses was talking about was like, oh, I better stay away
- 59:51from that. That's kind of pretty powerful.
- 59:55And if that doesn't like me or if that goes against me, I am
- 1:00:00nothing. I am squished, I am gone.
- 1:00:04I am never exists again. And and that's the kind of fear
- 1:00:10not that God is looking to punish any of us.
- 1:00:12He doesn't want to. He loves us.
- 1:00:14He's he's seeking. I mean, he, he's trying to get
- 1:00:18our attention. And and trying to reveal himself
- 1:00:22to us, but we are so obstinate from him and, and so this, this
- 1:00:27fear of God. Can you imagine standing there
- 1:00:31seeing all this Thunder and lightning and this trumpet and
- 1:00:34smoke in the mountain? I mean, that kind of an image at
- 1:00:38the base of the mountain when you're when Moses is giving the
- 1:00:4210 commandments, this is and then Moses says don't be afraid.
- 1:00:49He's saying don't be afraid, but he's showing how great he is.
- 1:00:54God is showing how great he is. God has come to test you so that
- 1:00:59the fear of God will be with you.
- 1:01:01Why? To keep you from sinning.
- 1:01:05So that wrath of God, that potential that's there, that'll
- 1:01:10keep you away from sinning. So when we know who God is and
- 1:01:13what he can do and what he does, because he's a just God, he will
- 1:01:17punish on or he will punish intentional sin.
- 1:01:23Do we want to be punished? Do we want to be destroyed?
- 1:01:27Because if we keep on doing that, that will happen.
- 1:01:30Don't think that grace is going to cover you.
- 1:01:32And here's that verse about not that verse, but that chapter,
- 1:01:35Hebrews 10/26. I'm going to read this to you
- 1:01:39because it's so important to know this.
- 1:01:42If we deliberately keep on sinning after we have received
- 1:01:48the knowledge of the truth, no sacrifice for sins is left, but
- 1:01:55only a fearful expectation of judgment and of raging fire that
- 1:02:02will consume the enemies of God. Anyone who rejected the law of
- 1:02:09Moses died without mercy on the testimony of two or three
- 1:02:13witnesses. How much more severely do you
- 1:02:16think someone deserves to be punished who has trampled the
- 1:02:20Son of God under foot, who has treated as an unholy thing the
- 1:02:27blood of the covenant that sanctified them, and who has
- 1:02:33insulted the Spirit of grace? For we know him who said it is
- 1:02:40mine to avenge. I will repay, and again the Lord
- 1:02:44will judge his people. It is a dreadful thing to fall
- 1:02:49into the hands of the living God.
- 1:02:52So this talks about in Hebrews 10/29 talks about that would be
- 1:02:58an insult to the spirit of grace.
- 1:03:01That would be insult to grace. You are trampling on the blood
- 1:03:07of the Son of God who gave up his life to rescue you from
- 1:03:12darkness. When we intentionally sin, that
- 1:03:17is what we're after, having the knowledge of the truth.
- 1:03:21So again, this doesn't apply to all the world.
- 1:03:23This applies to us who call ourselves Christians.
- 1:03:28Don't do that. And and then there is a verse in
- 1:03:32here and I probably will get to it also.
- 1:03:34It says like if you are Christian and you see another
- 1:03:36Christian doing that, pray for them.
- 1:03:41And because our prayers matter to pray for another Christian so
- 1:03:45that they don't die from that. But there's like one sin that's
- 1:03:51unforgivable, forgivable, and that's blasphemy of the Holy
- 1:03:54Spirit and that's a pure and outright rejection of God.
- 1:03:59Don't that because everybody gets their free will.
- 1:04:03But if there's something else besides that that somebody does
- 1:04:08pray for them. That's why I also think that the
- 1:04:11taking the mark of the beast is also blasphemy.
- 1:04:14It's when that happens, people, if they're not going to do this
- 1:04:19unknowingly, the person who accepts the mark of the beast is
- 1:04:24pledging allegiance to this entity.
- 1:04:27So they are saying that instead of trusting in God, they're
- 1:04:31trusting in whatever this mark is.
- 1:04:34So at that point, if people are around, because there will still
- 1:04:38be people who claim Jesus around at that time.
- 1:04:41So if when that happens, there's actually an Angel that goes out
- 1:04:48and warns people don't take the mark of the beast, and that is
- 1:04:52an unforgivable sin. And so we know there's only one
- 1:04:56unforgivable sin and that's blasphemy of the Holy Spirit.
- 1:04:59So that's why I say that Mark of the Beast is pledging an
- 1:05:02allegiance to something that is not a God out of your own, You
- 1:05:07know, not having the fear of God, like don't fear anything.
- 1:05:12But our creator, our creator has the power to send us away from
- 1:05:16him or to bring us into his Kingdom.
- 1:05:19So that's who we should have fear about is a reverence
- 1:05:23towards, not anybody else. We shouldn't fear anything else,
- 1:05:26even death, because if we die saying, no, I'm not going to
- 1:05:31take that mark, then we're going to be in the presence of God.
- 1:05:36And you have to actually believe it to be willing to let your
- 1:05:40life go for that. But that's where it really
- 1:05:44separates us who believe. Or if we don't believe the true
- 1:05:48test is going to happen, then that's probably going to be the
- 1:05:51final Test that God's going to bring about.
- 1:05:54Like who's going to really believe and who's not going to
- 1:05:57believe? Who's going to hold true to what
- 1:05:59they claim? Because there are people who
- 1:06:02claim Jesus who are going to be faced with the mark of the
- 1:06:06beast. So that's in Scripture, all
- 1:06:11right, believe. What the heck does believe mean?
- 1:06:15So I wanted to go through some things I don't know.
- 1:06:20This is probably going to be a long.
- 1:06:21Maybe I should stop this podcast right now and talk about believe
- 1:06:29because I think this is like just a topic all on its own.
- 1:06:32It's already an hour that I've been on this, so I think who
- 1:06:36knows how long this topic about believe is going to be.
- 1:06:38So I think I'm going to end this right now and start a new
- 1:06:41podcast and just talk about what does believe mean from the Bible
- 1:06:47reading scripture. So I am going to end this now.
- 1:06:50If you found this beneficial, I really hope you did find it
- 1:06:53beneficial. But if you think anybody else
- 1:06:56would be blessed by hearing this, please send this to
- 1:07:02somebody else because I want all people to be in God's Kingdom.
- 1:07:07I want people's eyes to be opened.
- 1:07:09I want them to know God and I know.
- 1:07:12And anyway, so share it with anybody who comes to your mind.
- 1:07:17Please share it. And and then if you want to say
- 1:07:20in the word, please subscribe. So that's it.
- 1:07:24Thank you very much.
