- 0:00Speaker 1: Hi.
- 0:01Speaker 2: I masturbated back in the day. And I figure I
- 0:04Speaker 2: owe you some cash for that.
- 0:05Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 0:06Speaker 1: I feel bad because.
- 0:07Speaker 2: Don't open the episode with that.
- 0:09Speaker 1: We're opening the episode.
- 0:11Speaker 4: The following feature has been rated R by the Motion

- 0:29Speaker 2: It's showtime, folks.
- 0:32Speaker 5: Enjoy the show.
- 0:35Speaker 6: Our nuclear reactor pumping out one million kilowatts of power.
- 1:09Speaker 7: Is there a history of insanity in your family?
- 1:17Speaker 3: Hi, welcome to Movie Meltdown.
- 1:23Speaker 8: I am Misty.
- 1:24Speaker 1: I don't know if anybody else has ever started it.
- 1:27Speaker 1: That's pretty good.
- 1:29Speaker 9: And you are? I'm Jay.
- 1:32Speaker 1: I'm Randy. We've roped Randy into it. So, yes, this
- 1:36Speaker 1: is Movie Meltdown.
- 1:37Speaker 10: We are coming to you live via digital recording from
- 1:40Speaker 10: the floor of Fright Night Film Fest slash Fandom Fest.
- 1:44Speaker 1: And it's kind of out of control at the moment.
- 1:48Speaker 2: That was the funny thing, because you got, like, Vernon Wells.
- 1:51Speaker 11: And, like, of all the people here, I think he's
- 1:53Speaker 11: the only one I might, like, wander by and, like, thank.
- 1:57Speaker 2: Because at least he's iconic.
- 1:59Speaker 12: Yeah.
- 1:59Speaker 13: You know?
- 2:00Speaker 2: I mean, he's a working actor. You know, he's not making, like,
- 2:04Speaker 2: millions of dollars.
- 2:05Speaker 14: But.
- 2:06Speaker 2: He's an icon, at least for a couple of roles.
- 2:09Speaker 9: Yeah.
- 2:09Speaker 11: And, you know, and he's actually, this might mean something
- 2:12Speaker 11: to him, where he's walking dead douchebags, you know, trying to, like,
- 2:16Speaker 11: milk more from the swollen teat.
- 2:18Speaker 2: Fuck him, you know? Yeah, he wore assless chaps in
- 2:24Speaker 2: the road work.
- 2:25Speaker 15: Yeah, he saw his butt.
- 2:27Speaker 16: Yeah.
- 2:29Speaker 2: That's helpful.
- 2:30Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 2:31Speaker 15: That should be worth something.
- 2:33Speaker 3: Get extra credits for asscheeks.
- 2:36Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 2:38Speaker 17: I don't know.
- 2:38Speaker 11: The 40 minute wait to see anybody. The only person
- 2:41Speaker 11: I wait like that for is my fucking dentist. And
- 2:44Speaker 11: I'm not really happy about that.
- 2:46Speaker 2: And they don't even give you magazines here.
- 2:48Speaker 18: Yeah. You know?
- 2:50Speaker 3: It just mirrors this guy across from us who's kind
- 2:52Speaker 3: of like a... Like Mickey Six had like a brother.
- 2:55Speaker 11: I would have said like Danzig if you left him
- 2:59Speaker 11: in the dryer.
- 3:00Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 3:01Speaker 17: I feel like Nikki Sixx.
- 3:02Speaker 3: Maybe if Nikki Sixx and Danzig had a song.
- 3:08Speaker 10: That was frightening, actually.
- 3:12Speaker 11: That's because I can't think of any audio for Nikki Sixx.
- 3:18Speaker 2: There goes Gloves.
- 3:22Speaker 3: He always fucking wears Gloves.
- 3:25Speaker 4: Gloves!
- 3:26Speaker 5: Oh, Gloves, yeah.
- 3:27Speaker 2: Oh, that's Kane Hodder, right?
- 3:28Speaker 9: Gloves.
- 3:29Speaker 2: Well, that's that whole badass.
- 3:31Speaker 17: I could commit a crime and get away with it.
- 3:34Speaker 2: I assume that's what I take away.
- 3:37Speaker 10: No, I just figured his other job now, he's a
- 3:39Speaker 10: hand model.
- 3:39Speaker 1: He's like, I don't want to mess up my friend's mother. Well,
- 3:43Speaker 1: that's it. My hands are my life. I can't mess
- 3:46Speaker 1: those up.
- 3:47Speaker 5: He's a hand model?
- 3:48Speaker 3: What?
- 3:49Speaker 15: Boyfriend.
- 3:50Speaker 3: What?
- 3:55Speaker 10: You can picture a big close-up ad with him like
- 3:58Speaker 10: we're in a watch or something.
- 4:00Speaker 2: Like, I'll take that.
- 4:02Speaker 1: Look how awesome that hand looks.
- 4:06Speaker 19: I'm kind of lost.
- 4:09Speaker 2: Spider-Man has your color hair. Let's go beat his ass.
- 4:11Speaker 17: Still, he's intruding on something I think you've trademarked.
- 4:20Speaker 2: It's like, let's see if you really stick.
- 4:22Speaker 3: Her in the balls. Can you talk about how ridiculously
- 4:28Speaker 3: adorable that Rose girl was? I don't know her last name.
- 4:33Speaker 1: Rose Sienna.
- 4:34Speaker 3: But apparently, she was on the show. I don't know
- 4:37Speaker 3: when she was on the show.
- 4:38Speaker 19: I wasn't there.
- 4:38Speaker 1: January, I believe.
- 4:40Speaker 3: Anyway, she came by earlier, and I swear to God,
- 4:42Speaker 3: she is the most ridiculously adorable thing I've ever seen
- 4:45Speaker 3: in my entire life. She has this voice that's just
- 4:47Speaker 3: like a cartoon animal. but in the most adorable of ways.
- 4:52Speaker 3: In my head, she is a Disney princess, and I'm
- 4:54Speaker 3: pretty sure butterflies and birds and mice help her get
- 4:57Speaker 3: dressed in the morning. She sings little songs about it,
- 4:59Speaker 3: and I think Maybe she poops rainbows or something. I'm
- 5:03Speaker 3: not really sure, but she was ridiculous.
- 5:04Speaker 2: What? The point to make there, the point to make is.
- 5:09Speaker 11: That she saw somebody walk by with one of these
- 5:11Speaker 11: murdered teddy bears in a box. I thought they were
- 5:15Speaker 11: selling it as a display model to try and gather interest,
- 5:18Speaker 11: because I have one of the mutated teddy bears, but these.
- 5:21Speaker 2: Are crime scene teddy bears.
- 5:23Speaker 11: She went over to save the teddy bear, and she's like,
- 5:27Speaker 11: asked the girl walking around carrying this display case, what.
- 5:31Speaker 17: Happened to your teddy bear?
- 5:34Speaker 11: Like all lost and feeling the pain of the world.
- 5:38Speaker 10: She wasn't joking. She wasn't being cool and ironic about it.
- 5:42Speaker 10: She was really worried about what happened to the teddy bear.
- 5:45Speaker 10: And that's, again, usually things that good in the world
- 5:50Speaker 10: make me.
- 5:50Speaker 1: Want to destroy things. But something about Rose is pretty awesome.
- 5:53Speaker 9: She's adorable. Oh, my God.
- 5:56Speaker 3: Yeah, I want her to narrate everything in my life.
- 5:58Speaker 3: She has the cutest voice. I want her to have
- 6:00Speaker 3: a running commentary of everything that's going on. But in
- 6:03Speaker 3: my head, she would use that voice to say bad words.
- 6:06Speaker 3: I can't imagine her saying bad words in real life.
- 6:10Speaker 11: After I met her, I was imagining her screaming at
- 6:13Speaker 11: people in traffic. You just sort of sit there and go,
- 6:16Speaker 11: I wonder.
- 6:17Speaker 2: Of course, it might just be.
- 6:19Speaker 3: I like the look of awe and shock on her face.
- 6:24Speaker 3: Almost everything you said was just hilarious.
- 6:27Speaker 11: It made me feel like more of an awful person
- 6:30Speaker 11: than I already am.
- 6:31Speaker 10: Yeah, as Randy was saying the things Randy usually says,
- 6:34Speaker 10: it was somehow mortifying this poor girl.
- 6:38Speaker 19: Oh, that's where I saw that guy from.
- 6:41Speaker 15: The guy down there is the guy from Kroger.
- 6:44Speaker 3: Where?
- 6:45Speaker 5: He's way down there.
- 6:46Speaker 15: He's got kind of a beard. I was like, where
- 6:48Speaker 15: the hell have I seen that guy? I was like,
- 6:50Speaker 15: I know I don't get out much. I only go
- 6:51Speaker 15: to work.
- 6:51Speaker 17: Oh, yeah, I saw him earlier.
- 6:53Speaker 15: Yeah, I was like, dude, the guy's from Kroger. Okay, yeah,
- 6:55Speaker 15: now I know who he is. I'm trying to think
- 6:57Speaker 15: of people in my life. Okay, I go to work,
- 6:59Speaker 15: and I go to Kroger.
- 7:00Speaker 3: It might have been somebody from UPS.
- 7:02Speaker 1: Work, Kroger, conventions.
- 7:03Speaker 18: That's all we do.
- 7:04Speaker 2: I was like, no, it's not convention.
- 7:06Speaker 11: Always waiting for Jay to tear off after somebody and
- 7:09Speaker 11: beat their ass for money that they owe him.
- 7:11Speaker 1: It's potential.
- 7:12Speaker 2: Sabini's not here. How much does he owe you?
- 7:16Speaker 15: Three dollars.
- 7:17Speaker 11: How does Sabini owe you three dollars?
- 7:20Speaker 3: He can't count.
- 7:21Speaker 15: He can't count?
- 7:23Speaker 17: That's all.
- 7:26Speaker 2: I think he probably can. That's my guess.
- 7:29Speaker 1: He's a scam artist.
- 7:31Speaker 15: I didn't realize until after.
- 7:32Speaker 17: I left his booth.
- 7:34Speaker 3: But yeah, Rose, wherever you are, if you're listening, which
- 7:36Speaker 3: I doubt you are, ridiculously cute.
- 7:38Speaker 20: Thank you.
- 7:40Speaker 2: Rose, if you're listening, what was, was it Scott?
- 7:44Speaker 1: Scooter?
- 7:45Speaker 21: Scooter.
- 7:46Speaker 2: Okay, I was close. I abbreviated.
- 7:49Speaker 11: Scooter, get her off the podcast and get her off
- 7:52Speaker 11: to do something constructive.
- 7:53Speaker 1: No, no.
- 7:54Speaker 2: Like working with injured children or something.
- 7:56Speaker 1: She needs to be on our show every week. The
- 7:59Speaker 1: only thing that can balance the evil that is the
- 8:01Speaker 1: rest of Movie Meltdown.
- 8:03Speaker 3: That's why he needs the gloves, so he can carry
- 8:04Speaker 3: four beers at once.
- 8:07Speaker 9: Oh.
- 8:09Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 8:10Speaker 15: That's piss water.
- 8:11Speaker 11: He's got like fucking lips in his shoes. I mean, okay,
- 8:15Speaker 11: you're supposed to be a tough guy, but do you
- 8:17Speaker 11: have to wear like four inch lips?
- 8:21Speaker 2: I mean, I'm a short guy. I don't need four-inch lips.
- 8:25Speaker 10: You have to pretend to be a serial killer, I guess.
- 8:31Speaker 2: Sorry, that hits a little close to home.
- 8:33Speaker 9: Oh, she's there.
- 8:33Speaker 17: She's waving at us. Oh, my God. She should come
- 8:37Speaker 17: say hello.
- 8:39Speaker 2: You know, we need some theme music.
- 8:41Speaker 1: Okay, begin the Rose theme.
- 8:43Speaker 10: Music right now. We were just discussing you in particular,
- 8:51Speaker 10: so we're cueing the Rose theme music.
- 8:54Speaker 1: Are you singing it? Yeah.
- 8:56Speaker 17: Hi, guys. Oh, my God. This is a momentous moment.
- 8:59Speaker 13: I just got asked for my first autograph ever, and
- 9:03Speaker 13: you're recording this moment like three minutes later.
- 9:06Speaker 19: This is history in the making.
- 9:07Speaker 1: This is history in the making. 20 years from now.
- 9:09Speaker 10: 20 years from now when that girl is dressed like you,
- 9:13Speaker 10: she'll listen back to this episode.
- 9:15Speaker 2: It'll all come together.
- 9:16Speaker 17: Oh, that makes sense.
- 9:18Speaker 13: If she's dressed like me today, this is my sister's
- 9:21Speaker 13: dress that she left at my house by mistake.
- 9:23Speaker 17: So I don't know how she'll find one and recreate it,
- 9:25Speaker 17: but she can.
- 9:26Speaker 9: Ask my sister.
- 9:27Speaker 1: You just punched her and took her dress, didn't you?
- 9:29Speaker 3: This is awesome.
- 9:30Speaker 17: We've got Randy on the show now.
- 9:32Speaker 2: It's an accident.
- 9:34Speaker 1: He just didn't run away fast enough.
- 9:35Speaker 17: So this works, even with all this noise?
- 9:37Speaker 2: Yeah, I don't like all the noise, but I deal
- 9:39Speaker 2: with it.
- 9:40Speaker 13: People, it's crazy here. There's like a thousand people?
- 9:44Speaker 17: Yeah, I think. Probably more. Probably more. Why are you
- 9:48Speaker 17: not here? Why are you listening to this? You should
- 9:50Speaker 17: be here live with us.
- 9:52Speaker 1: They can still listen to it.
- 9:53Speaker 17: They can still listen.
- 9:54Speaker 10: Don't encourage them not to listen.
- 9:57Speaker 17: No, please listen. We might be on the show again
- 9:58Speaker 17: on Tuesdays. not pretty good.
- 10:00Speaker 1: That's the plan.
- 10:01Speaker 17: Were you talking about me as a Disney character?
- 10:04Speaker 9: Yes.
- 10:05Speaker 1: No. No.
- 10:05Speaker 9: That's okay.
- 10:06Speaker 17: That's not.
- 10:06Speaker 3: I totally was.
- 10:07Speaker 17: Oh, that's awesome. That's not exactly, like, a bad thing.
- 10:11Speaker 13: As long as I'm not Jafar, like, the parrot, that
- 10:14Speaker 13: would be bad.
- 10:15Speaker 15: Gilbert Gottfried.
- 10:16Speaker 19: Gilbert Gottfried.
- 10:18Speaker 1: You were the first one I thought of.
- 10:19Speaker 10: Jafar and right to you.
- 10:21Speaker 13: My favorite Disney movie is Little Mermaid.
- 10:27Speaker 17: What are yours?
- 10:29Speaker 2: Bambi.
- 10:30Speaker 17: Bambi is the saddest one. See, there he goes.
- 10:33Speaker 19: I hate deer.
- 10:34Speaker 2: I'm not trying to make you cry.
- 10:36Speaker 18: I love the beginning when she gets killed, the mother
- 10:38Speaker 18: gets killed. That's my favorite part.
- 10:40Speaker 19: I was attacked by a deer when I was five
- 10:42Speaker 19: years old. at a petting zoo.
- 10:46Speaker 17: Holy shit.
- 10:47Speaker 2: He had it on tape.
- 10:48Speaker 1: You can put it on your show. It was filmed.
- 10:51Speaker 19: It's hilarious.
- 10:51Speaker 1: I'm, like, five.
- 10:52Speaker 18: I'm, like, walking around, and out of nowhere, like, this
- 10:55Speaker 18: deer just knocks me to the ground and starts, like,
- 10:58Speaker 18: stampeding me to death.
- 11:00Speaker 19: Of course, the camera falls.
- 11:01Speaker 2: Did that fuck up Chris's before you?
- 11:02Speaker 19: Yeah, it failed.
- 11:03Speaker 5: You know, we were.
- 11:05Speaker 19: Going to sue, you know, but we didn't.
- 11:09Speaker 1: You didn't press charges on the deal.
- 11:12Speaker 11: I think that if you try to sue a petting zoo,
- 11:14Speaker 11: they tell your child, for every dollar you get, we'll
- 11:18Speaker 11: shoot an animal.
- 11:19Speaker 15: Right.
- 11:19Speaker 19: Yeah, I would have been fine with it. I wanted
- 11:22Speaker 19: my justice.
- 11:24Speaker 17: Forever and ever.
- 11:25Speaker 1: You wanted to personally go out and take it out.
- 11:28Speaker 19: One of my movies I want to make is The
- 11:29Speaker 19: Deer Hunter 2.
- 11:31Speaker 3: Right.
- 11:32Speaker 18: And it's like a horror movie where I'm... the slasher
- 11:36Speaker 18: character and the deer are like these teenage deer and
- 11:40Speaker 18: they're going to summer camp and they're like.
- 11:42Speaker 11: They're all horny they're trouble making you've got the first
- 11:44Speaker 11: furry horror movie right there.
- 11:46Speaker 18: Exactly will they be horned but i want christopher walken
- 11:50Speaker 18: to play me.
- 11:51Speaker 1: Well who doesn't.
- 11:52Speaker 17: You can't make it.
- 11:55Speaker 11: Soon deer hunter 2 no one's done it i like
- 11:57Speaker 11: it that's There's a market for that.
- 12:00Speaker 17: Can I be in it? What could I be?
- 12:02Speaker 1: A bunny rabbit?
- 12:03Speaker 17: Yeah, I'm going to be the rabbit. Rabbits are my
- 12:06Speaker 17: favorite animal. Right, that is my favorite. I love bunnies.
- 12:11Speaker 1: How did I know that?
- 12:12Speaker 13: It doesn't make sense that I really like bunnies.
- 12:14Speaker 1: It's perfect.
- 12:16Speaker 2: How much exposure have you had to bunnies? That's what
- 12:19Speaker 2: I want to know.
- 12:19Speaker 11: Are they idealized bunnies or are they really running around
- 12:23Speaker 11: on your back? I have this friend and she brings
- 12:25Speaker 11: her bunny in which we will refer to for the
- 12:27Speaker 11: remainder of this.
- 12:28Speaker 2: Anecdote, is that fucking bunny.
- 12:29Speaker 9: Okay.
- 12:30Speaker 19: Right?
- 12:31Speaker 11: She put it on her bed with the dog, and
- 12:33Speaker 11: the dog would, like, interact with the bunny, except the
- 12:36Speaker 11: dog wasn't, like, geared to interact with the bunny, and
- 12:38Speaker 11: the bunny would run around, and bunnies shit. And they
- 12:42Speaker 11: shit opportunistically, viciously, and continuously.
- 12:46Speaker 6: You know?
- 12:47Speaker 17: They've got cute boobs that are, like, really round and.
- 12:49Speaker 1: Right.
- 12:50Speaker 2: Well, she's like... I went and visited this friend. She's like,
- 12:52Speaker 2: come on.
- 12:52Speaker 17: We were up in her room.
- 12:55Speaker 2: with her, you know, like, giant king bed.
- 12:56Speaker 11: She's watching TV, and her husband's there, and the bunny's
- 12:59Speaker 11: running around shitting on everything, and it runs over and, like,
- 13:02Speaker 11: bites me.
- 13:03Speaker 2: Do you know what bunny teeth are like?
- 13:05Speaker 9: They hurt.
- 13:06Speaker 2: They're like this.
- 13:07Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 13:07Speaker 17: For those.
- 13:07Speaker 2: Bunny pipe on the Holy Grail.
- 13:09Speaker 9: No, they're like.
- 13:10Speaker 17: Bunny pipe on the Holy Grail.
- 13:11Speaker 1: They're teeth bite on.
- 13:12Speaker 17: I thought he said bunny pipe on the Holy Grail.
- 13:15Speaker 17: I've heard of Monty Python.
- 13:17Speaker 1: Are you sure?
- 13:18Speaker 17: Yeah, they did Spamalot, too.
- 13:21Speaker 1: Yes, it's part of the franchise.
- 13:24Speaker 13: And there's that thing about I'm a lumberjack and I'm okay.
- 13:28Speaker 17: Is that from it?
- 13:28Speaker 1: That's Monty Python, yes. You've got a little bonus points.
- 13:33Speaker 17: Gosh, I'm truly trying to get in the club here, people.
- 13:40Speaker 19: What is the plot of Star Wars?
- 13:41Speaker 1: Tell me the story.
- 13:42Speaker 2: What's going on?
- 13:43Speaker 19: Let's hear it.
- 13:45Speaker 1: This would be gross who's never seen Star Wars. This
- 13:47Speaker 1: is always a fun game.
- 13:48Speaker 13: Okay. There's, like, this guy, and he's going to go
- 13:52Speaker 13: to another planet, and there's a princess he has to save,
- 13:56Speaker 13: and he has a dad that's, like, an evil guy,
- 13:59Speaker 13: and then there's, like, a little midget man who's, like,
- 14:01Speaker 13: a dwarf that's, like, really wise, and he, like, helps
- 14:06Speaker 13: him out, and they shoot things, and somebody's called Obi-Kenobi,
- 14:10Speaker 13: and at the end he saves the princess.
- 14:13Speaker 17: And I've seen Meatballs. What's that name in the movie? Spaceballs? Spaceballs!
- 14:19Speaker 17: One of my ex-boyfriends made me watch that. And at
- 14:22Speaker 17: the end of the movie, he was laughing all the time.
- 14:24Speaker 17: I was like, what's up with this? He's like, well,
- 14:25Speaker 17: you know, Star Wars. I'm like, I haven't seen Star Wars.
- 14:28Speaker 17: So it didn't make any sense to me the whole time.
- 14:31Speaker 17: I forgot it. Was that close?
- 14:33Speaker 1: Now tell me the plot of Meatballs.
- 14:36Speaker 17: Oh my gosh, I don't remember. I don't even think
- 14:39Speaker 17: there's meatballs in... Oh, there's a... And there's a song
- 14:44Speaker 17: about meatballs, but on top of.
- 14:46Speaker 13: All covered with cheese.
- 14:49Speaker 17: Thank you, Misty. That could be a great movie, Meatballs.
- 14:54Speaker 17: It could be about a band.
- 14:54Speaker 9: Isn't there.
- 14:55Speaker 17: Oh, no, that's Meat Loaf.
- 14:56Speaker 2: There is a.
- 14:56Speaker 1: A band called Meat Loaf.
- 14:58Speaker 9: There it is.
- 14:58Speaker 1: All right.
- 15:00Speaker 17: Oh, I love Bill Murray. We just saw him on
- 15:02Speaker 17: TV yesterday. By the way, there's this amazing video that
- 15:05Speaker 17: everyone should YouTube. I'm not kidding. It's, like, the top ten.
- 15:09Speaker 13: Moments that were candid, like, they were just improv moments.
- 15:14Speaker 13: And they're, like, the most famous scenes of these epic movies.
- 15:18Speaker 17: So, for example... I'm walking here, you know? Robert De Niro.
- 15:22Speaker 17: That cab went through all the signs.
- 15:24Speaker 19: That was Robert De Niro.
- 15:25Speaker 17: It was. What did I say?
- 15:26Speaker 9: Dustin Hoffman.
- 15:27Speaker 17: Oh, I meant Robert. No, I meant Dustin Hoffman.
- 15:31Speaker 2: She's referring to Midnight Cowboy.
- 15:33Speaker 17: I'm going to be so embarrassed one day. Like, when I... Okay. Yeah, hopefully. So, yeah.
- 15:40Speaker 17: I'm walking here. The taxi cab.
- 15:41Speaker 13: Just, like, did not read the filming signs. It just
- 15:44Speaker 13: went through, and that's what he improvised. Then, okay, well,
- 15:48Speaker 13: just watch the studio.
- 15:48Speaker 17: Find it on YouTube. It's really good. It is really good. And, like,
- 15:52Speaker 17: singing in the rain.
- 15:53Speaker 13: What movie is that from?
- 15:55Speaker 2: Sing like in the rain.
- 15:56Speaker 17: Yeah, that was all improvised. I'm looking at you, kid.
- 16:02Speaker 13: Who's that?
- 16:02Speaker 20: Robert De Niro.
- 16:03Speaker 9: Casablanca.
- 16:04Speaker 17: Oh, God. Okay, whatever. Just watch the movie. I haven't
- 16:07Speaker 17: seen that either. Watch a whole.
- 16:09Speaker 9: Bunch of movies.
- 16:09Speaker 1: I need to watch a whole bunch of movies. All
- 16:11Speaker 1: of them with Robert De Niro.
- 16:12Speaker 17: Maybe we should have.
- 16:13Speaker 13: People write, since I haven't seen that many movies, their
- 16:16Speaker 13: top ten movies that Rose should watch. And I'll watch
- 16:20Speaker 13: all of them someday.
- 16:21Speaker 10: This could be interesting, and people will probably be very
- 16:24Speaker 10: mean and put horrible things on it.
- 16:26Speaker 13: Please don't put the happening. I did not like the happening.
- 16:29Speaker 13: I did not like Antichrist. I did not like happening
- 16:33Speaker 13: in the woods. Everyone's going to be upset about that.
- 16:38Speaker 11: So no Wahlberg as a teacher and no genital mutilation.
- 16:42Speaker 17: No genital mutilation. Thank you. Thanks for clearing that up.
- 16:45Speaker 1: Well, that takes three off my list already.
- 16:48Speaker 17: But I will see Troll 2 if you request it.
- 16:51Speaker 17: I kind of want to. I think you just want to.
- 16:53Speaker 13: Well, I like doing extreme things. Like, I don't like
- 16:56Speaker 13: spicy food. Like, I think Chipotle is spicy with no
- 16:58Speaker 13: sauces on it. Like, just the chicken is spicy for me.
- 17:01Speaker 13: But someone was like, this is the hottest. This was
- 17:03Speaker 13: in Louisville at this restaurant called the City Station in
- 17:05Speaker 13: Northern Commons. They were like, this is the hottest hot
- 17:09Speaker 13: sauce in the world. And I tried it because I
- 17:11Speaker 13: was like, if you're going to do it, go all.
- 17:13Speaker 17: The way, right? You understand. Yeah, go big or go home.
- 17:16Speaker 17: So I watched the words.
- 17:18Speaker 3: I heard steam coming out of your head.
- 17:21Speaker 17: I called for milk because my dad lives in China.
- 17:24Speaker 13: And I had just read an article in China that said, like,
- 17:27Speaker 13: it's spicy.
- 17:28Speaker 17: Water is the worst thing you can do. It just
- 17:30Speaker 17: spreads it. You have to have milk. So I was like, no.
- 17:35Speaker 13: And then we drank so much milk that the next
- 17:37Speaker 13: day we had to bring a gallon of milk.
- 17:39Speaker 17: To the restaurant and be like thanks for.
- 17:40Speaker 3: The milk actually coming from your mouth at this point
- 17:42Speaker 3: as you're yelling for milk that would have been like
- 17:44Speaker 3: a cartoon.
- 17:45Speaker 17: Like a cartoon like looney tunes style.
- 17:48Speaker 10: She's disney she's looney tunes she kind of encompasses all cartoons.
- 17:52Speaker 13: I am a cartoon i'm not right oh thank.
- 17:59Speaker 18: You there's some cartoon character you sound like though it's
- 18:01Speaker 18: either like Olive oil?
- 18:04Speaker 9: No.
- 18:04Speaker 17: Thank you.
- 18:06Speaker 3: No.
- 18:06Speaker 19: It's not olive oil. It's terrible. It's like, it's the
- 18:10Speaker 19: squeaky one.
- 18:11Speaker 2: Somebody's short.
- 18:12Speaker 13: How about the mouse in the Space Jam? Or like,
- 18:15Speaker 13: there's like, is there a mouse?
- 18:16Speaker 17: Oh, dear God.
- 18:17Speaker 1: First of all, don't watch Space Jam.
- 18:19Speaker 17: I've seen Space Jam.
- 18:20Speaker 10: Can you unsee that one somehow?
- 18:24Speaker 17: Hey, I was like eight, like, or whatever, however old
- 18:28Speaker 17: I was.
- 18:28Speaker 19: Bill Murray's also in that movie.
- 18:30Speaker 9: Bill Murray's in that?
- 18:32Speaker 19: He plays one of the characters.
- 18:34Speaker 13: No, all I remember is Michael Jordan and Charles Barkley
- 18:39Speaker 13: and some alien creatures that aren't mice.
- 18:41Speaker 17: I said mice.
- 18:42Speaker 22: They're not mice.
- 18:42Speaker 17: I just realized that.
- 18:45Speaker 18: Someone pointed out recently, it was funny, that Bill Murray
- 18:47Speaker 18: was known to be a comedian, and now he's a
- 18:50Speaker 18: dramatic actor, and he's actually good. And then Robert De
- 18:53Speaker 18: Niro's a dramatic actor who's trying to be a comedy.
- 18:57Speaker 19: Actor, and he's just awful.
- 18:59Speaker 1: Yeah, it's sort of ruined his career.
- 19:04Speaker 17: Moment of silence, everyone.
- 19:06Speaker 10: In remembrance of Robert De Niro as a fine actor.
- 19:09Speaker 17: Five minutes. Better be there when we get back.
- 19:19Speaker 8: Up steps to the floor, I share a teenage dream.
- 19:26Speaker 8: Boys living their soul, I never want they see. A
- 19:33Speaker 8: walk in the park can become a bad dream. People
- 19:37Speaker 8: are staring and following me. This is my only escape
- 19:43Speaker 8: from it all. Watching a film or a face on
- 19:47Speaker 8: a wall.
- 19:49Speaker 3: Bye.
- 19:49Speaker 5: Bye.
- 19:51Speaker 8: Italian Robert De Niro's waiting Talking Italian Robert De Niro's
- 19:59Speaker 8: waiting Talking Italian.
- 20:08Speaker 5: Popcorn hungry, we have it.
- 20:10Speaker 14: Kettle from the popper.
- 20:11Speaker 12: There are other treats for you, too, such as fresh
- 20:13Speaker 12: candies and ice cream.
- 20:15Speaker 5: Visit the refreshment center now.
- 20:16Speaker 4: Enjoy a delicious snack and ice cold Coca-Cola.
- 20:22Speaker 23: Okay, Carol, now you take these notes and then we're
- 20:25Speaker 23: about ready to begin.
- 20:26Speaker 15: Okay, sure.
- 20:27Speaker 21: What are you two doing here? We don't record until tomorrow.
- 20:30Speaker 23: We're making a new promo for All Games Considered, since
- 20:32Speaker 23: you were dragging your feet getting one written.
- 20:34Speaker 22: Hey, she's right, though.
- 20:36Speaker 23: It's been too long, and a lot has happened since
- 20:38Speaker 23: the last promo. Yeah, like winning the gold NE for
- 20:41Speaker 23: Best Gaming Podcast for 2009.
- 20:43Speaker 21: You mean the one you try to work into the
- 20:44Speaker 21: conversation every other episode?
- 20:46Speaker 22: Hey, now, now, there's more than that.
- 20:48Speaker 23: There's the new format.
- 20:49Speaker 21: You mean the main show every two weeks and the
- 20:51Speaker 21: assortment of other features in the meantime?
- 20:53Speaker 23: Right, like games you may never have heard of, the
- 20:55Speaker 23: review in new shows. Don't forget the RPG buffet.
- 20:58Speaker 21: And on the main show, we have more time to
- 21:00Speaker 21: focus on gaming topics.
- 21:01Speaker 23: Like board and card games.
- 21:02Speaker 21: And RPGs. And the people who play them from the
- 21:04Speaker 21: old school to the newest of the new.
- 21:07Speaker 15: But no changeling.
- 21:09Speaker 9: Hey!
- 21:10Speaker 21: Find out more at agcpodcast.info all games considered, because there's
- 21:15Speaker 21: more than one true way to play.
- 21:17Speaker 3: Don't try to.
- 21:20Speaker 8: Change me, you're wasting your time. Now I've got something
- 21:28Speaker 8: much better in mind.
- 21:43Speaker 24: We need to get back in time for your.
- 22:05Speaker 9: Q & A though.
- 22:05Speaker 19: What time is that?
- 22:06Speaker 17: I set an alarm.
- 22:08Speaker 9: I kind of.
- 22:12Speaker 2: I figured you for the detail guarantees.
- 22:14Speaker 19: I'm usually not.
- 22:17Speaker 2: There are no butterflies.
- 22:18Speaker 19: I delegate that usually.
- 22:20Speaker 17: Oh, at the time and stuff?
- 22:23Speaker 11: I think that you are a singularly wonderful human being.
- 22:27Speaker 19: Who is easily distractible.
- 22:30Speaker 17: Oh, I, like they didn't have ADD when I was little.
- 22:32Speaker 2: You have like super ADD.
- 22:34Speaker 3: Oh.
- 22:35Speaker 11: Like someone could come in to rob a bank and
- 22:37Speaker 11: you'd be like, look at that lamp.
- 22:40Speaker 17: I like the color of your shirt.
- 22:42Speaker 11: That's a really great, who ever thought money came in
- 22:44Speaker 11: bags like that and you would install them until the
- 22:47Speaker 11: cops got there.
- 22:48Speaker 17: Yeah, everything would be great.
- 22:49Speaker 21: Right.
- 22:49Speaker 17: Like everyone would get out and be free and happy
- 22:51Speaker 17: and I would never have known they were robbing the bank.
- 22:53Speaker 3: Right.
- 22:54Speaker 17: Can I ask about this t-shirt?
- 22:57Speaker 20: Yes.
- 22:57Speaker 13: Who is John Carpenter, and how was he your babysitter?
- 23:02Speaker 10: I don't have to answer that part, right? The babysitter part, yes,
- 23:07Speaker 10: but who.
- 23:07Speaker 1: Is John Carpenter, I don't know what to do with it.
- 23:10Speaker 19: He's a horror director. He directed Halloween... Power of other films.
- 23:14Speaker 17: Okay, I'm getting upset because I think I'm going to
- 23:16Speaker 17: be known as the dumb blonde of your show.
- 23:19Speaker 1: You are not dumb nor blonde.
- 23:20Speaker 3: Thank you.
- 23:21Speaker 1: You're just very special.
- 23:23Speaker 13: I grew up in other countries, people, and my father
- 23:26Speaker 13: thought TV ratted your brain.
- 23:27Speaker 1: It kind of does.
- 23:29Speaker 13: Whenever we watched TV, it was always, like, a man
- 23:31Speaker 13: for all seasons, or, like, Ben-Hur, so you can't, like,
- 23:35Speaker 13: you can't.
- 23:36Speaker 17: Be upset at me for not having watched that many films. Like,
- 23:38Speaker 17: imagine being eight watching this stuff, you know? It's a
- 23:41Speaker 17: bit intense. You get it, Randy, right?
- 23:44Speaker 2: Yeah, but we're not bringing my childhood up. This is
- 23:47Speaker 2: your childhood. We can't handle that much horror. The couch
- 23:51Speaker 2: only takes one person at a time.
- 23:54Speaker 17: No waiting. I need a psychologist to make them happy.
- 23:57Speaker 10: That's what the show can be for you. Each week
- 24:00Speaker 10: will be a session. You'll sit down and go into
- 24:03Speaker 10: God knows what.
- 24:04Speaker 3: So, you know.
- 24:04Speaker 2: Okay, so we did Halloween.
- 24:08Speaker 1: Amongst other things.
- 24:10Speaker 19: Did I see that?
- 24:12Speaker 9: Yeah.
- 24:13Speaker 13: Oh, that was the movie that when he went upstairs,
- 24:15Speaker 13: I fast-forwarded it.
- 24:16Speaker 17: And then it came down.
- 24:18Speaker 18: Actually, I re-watched it recently, and I was like, this
- 24:21Speaker 18: is kind of just, it's not as good.
- 24:24Speaker 19: It doesn't hold up.
- 24:25Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 24:25Speaker 18: Because it's like the only thing they do is like, oh,
- 24:28Speaker 18: he's there in the corner, like staring at them.
- 24:30Speaker 23: Yeah.
- 24:31Speaker 17: Sean and I.
- 24:31Speaker 19: It doesn't actually, it's a slow burn until the end.
- 24:35Speaker 1: It's a slow burn, but it still holds up for me.
- 24:37Speaker 1: I'm still pretty taken with it that reminds.
- 24:39Speaker 13: Me so when I was little the scariest movie okay
- 24:42Speaker 13: so we lived in a townhouse it was like five
- 24:45Speaker 13: floors but really like thin in space and I was
- 24:48Speaker 13: on the last floor my parents were on the first
- 24:50Speaker 13: floor and like they were like come downstairs but I
- 24:53Speaker 13: waited and it was like this movie started playing and it.
- 24:55Speaker 17: Was called It and It was so scary. Like, I
- 24:58Speaker 17: didn't watch the whole thing.
- 25:00Speaker 13: So, like, two years ago, a friend and I started
- 25:02Speaker 13: watching it, and it's not scary at all.
- 25:04Speaker 17: I think it, like, doesn't age well, right? It's like
- 25:07Speaker 17: one of those films.
- 25:08Speaker 15: It's scary up to the point when you find out
- 25:10Speaker 15: it's just a big spider, and then you're like.
- 25:12Speaker 17: It was a spider?
- 25:13Speaker 2: Yeah. I don't remember that part.
- 25:14Speaker 1: The clown part, very, very, yeah.
- 25:16Speaker 17: Yeah, like, it drags on.
- 25:17Speaker 9: At the end.
- 25:17Speaker 17: Yeah.
- 25:18Speaker 1: Pennywise scarred many children over the years.
- 25:21Speaker 17: Yeah, because he can come from anywhere. It's not like, oh,
- 25:25Speaker 17: he has to come through my front door. He could
- 25:26Speaker 17: be in my closet right now.
- 25:28Speaker 1: He might be.
- 25:29Speaker 17: Fair.
- 25:30Speaker 13: But he doesn't want me anywhere because now I'm older.
- 25:35Speaker 13: But I still have the youngest organs in his house,
- 25:37Speaker 13: so maybe he would want me.
- 25:39Speaker 9: He might.
- 25:40Speaker 2: I didn't know that he shopped by organ. That's good
- 25:42Speaker 2: to know.
- 25:43Speaker 9: He does.
- 25:44Speaker 17: He, like, smells the organs. Isn't that what he does?
- 25:47Speaker 19: Why can't he just purchase organs? Why does he have to?
- 25:50Speaker 13: I don't know, because that's how Stephen King wrote it. See,
- 25:52Speaker 13: Stephen King wrote it.
- 25:53Speaker 20: I knew it.
- 25:54Speaker 1: There's that place at the mall that sells organs. I mean,
- 25:56Speaker 1: you could just go get one of those.
- 25:58Speaker 11: You know, having a conversation with you is like playing
- 26:01Speaker 11: handball against, like, a wacky, rubbery substance.
- 26:07Speaker 2: You have no idea where it's going to go when
- 26:09Speaker 2: you hit it. It's like, oh, my God.
- 26:11Speaker 17: Oh, my God. Is that a good thing?
- 26:13Speaker 2: That's a good thing. This is a singular conversational experience.
- 26:18Speaker 13: I can't believe this is going to be recorded for
- 26:21Speaker 13: my first time.
- 26:23Speaker 2: Oh, pass it on for all.
- 26:26Speaker 13: So my dad's love, not much TV, has made me
- 26:30Speaker 13: an interesting person somehow.
- 26:32Speaker 2: It gave your pond death.
- 26:35Speaker 17: Oh, so the dumb blonde act is deep.
- 26:38Speaker 9: Thank you.
- 26:39Speaker 3: Oh. About him being a babysitter.
- 26:44Speaker 10: That's what I was going to say. If you've ever
- 26:46Speaker 10: met that guy, Fred... Yeah.
- 26:49Speaker 1: Deadhead Fred?
- 26:49Speaker 17: Dead right Fred?
- 26:51Speaker 1: No, like Fred on our show, Fred.
- 26:53Speaker 9: Oh, Fred.
- 26:53Speaker 1: I know Fred. Fred's awesome. Fred is awesome.
- 26:57Speaker 10: And when he was younger, he grew up in the
- 26:59Speaker 10: town where John went to college.
- 27:02Speaker 1: And his parents.
- 27:04Speaker 10: Were teachers at the school, and Fred's parents were teachers
- 27:07Speaker 10: at the school.
- 27:08Speaker 1: And they were like.
- 27:09Speaker 10: Well, we'd like to hang out, but there's no way to.
- 27:10Speaker 1: Watch the kids. Oh, John will watch the kids for you.
- 27:13Speaker 3: Because he's a great babysitter.
- 27:16Speaker 1: Because he has a large, sick mind. Yeah, and that's
- 27:19Speaker 1: why Fred's like he is.
- 27:20Speaker 19: Wow.
- 27:22Speaker 1: John Carpenter messed him.
- 27:23Speaker 19: Up a lot.
- 27:25Speaker 17: Who would be a worse babysitter? I think Lars von
- 27:28Speaker 17: Trier would be a worse babysitter.
- 27:29Speaker 2: You may have a point.
- 27:30Speaker 3: No.
- 27:31Speaker 17: You'd be a terrible... You'd.
- 27:33Speaker 13: Be, like, your parents would come home and you'd have, like,
- 27:35Speaker 13: a knife to your wrist and they're like, I got
- 27:37Speaker 13: him this time, you know?
- 27:38Speaker 17: Like, you'd be, like, melancholy-o, like.
- 27:42Speaker 1: That was really sad. He's a cheery guy, that Lars.
- 27:46Speaker 2: You took the brass ring. I can't even come up
- 27:48Speaker 2: with anybody once you put Von Trier on the top shelf.
- 27:52Speaker 19: Michael Haneke is also pretty.
- 27:54Speaker 1: Yeah, he's another cheery character.
- 27:58Speaker 2: Cash, and also Funny Games, and Teacher.
- 28:00Speaker 18: And also that other movie about two sisters that are
- 28:03Speaker 18: like terrible.
- 28:05Speaker 1: What was it?
- 28:13Speaker 17: It was Bergman.
- 28:14Speaker 13: That was pretty sad, too. But that was bad, The
- 28:18Speaker 13: Piano Teacher. Not bad, like bad, like bad, bad, like sad.
- 28:21Speaker 19: I got some point watching Bergman.
- 28:24Speaker 1: I've seen more.
- 28:25Speaker 19: Depressing movies about incest.
- 28:27Speaker 17: Wait, your movie's kind of about that.
- 28:31Speaker 13: Your movie's kind of a depressing movie about.
- 28:34Speaker 2: Spoiler alert!
- 28:35Speaker 17: Goddamn!
- 28:37Speaker 9: That's like.
- 28:37Speaker 19: We softened it.
- 28:38Speaker 17: We've already done a show about this.
- 28:41Speaker 12: Yeah.
- 28:41Speaker 1: I don't think we mentioned that.
- 28:43Speaker 17: Well, that's like the tenth layer.
- 28:45Speaker 25: Well, through Glass Darkly was kind of a semi-influence because
- 28:49Speaker 25: I was kind of into that when I was writing
- 28:52Speaker 25: the movie.
- 28:54Speaker 19: But not really.
- 28:55Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 28:57Speaker 13: I feel like we're blocking people from coming up to
- 28:59Speaker 13: your table.
- 29:00Speaker 19: Yeah, nobody cares, really.
- 29:05Speaker 13: We came here three times. Randy came here from Baltimore.
- 29:09Speaker 13: Why would you say that?
- 29:11Speaker 17: We came here from LA.
- 29:14Speaker 10: I can't talk sense into you people.
- 29:19Speaker 11: And you can't discuss sexual dysfunction dynamic movies until you've
- 29:24Speaker 11: seen The Skin I Live In.
- 29:26Speaker 2: Oh, the Spanish one.
- 29:27Speaker 17: I want to see that.
- 29:29Speaker 19: Is that really messed up? It's magnificent.
- 29:32Speaker 10: I like it.
- 29:33Speaker 17: I like that director.
- 29:35Speaker 26: Yeah i hope i said that right we went to
- 29:39Speaker 26: a uh a q a with the nominations for the
- 29:44Speaker 26: golden globe porn.
- 29:47Speaker 19: Awards he was there.
- 29:50Speaker 13: Yeah you went for angelina.
- 29:54Speaker 19: You went for angelina I went through the other four directors.
- 29:59Speaker 13: Oh, and that guy from Separation was there. Separate, they
- 30:04Speaker 13: won the Oscar for best film, which.
- 30:06Speaker 17: I want to see.
- 30:08Speaker 13: But at the end, there's like 500 people in there.
- 30:11Speaker 17: And I'm not big on celebrities.
- 30:13Speaker 13: I just was like, hey, I could see Angelina.
- 30:15Speaker 17: I want to see Angelina.
- 30:16Speaker 9: It's great.
- 30:17Speaker 19: It was so fun.
- 30:18Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 30:19Speaker 17: So there's like 500 people in there.
- 30:20Speaker 13: And every question, these other people are such well-established directors.
- 30:24Speaker 17: And this is her first film.
- 30:26Speaker 13: And everyone's, um, Miss Angelina, like, uh, like, every question,
- 30:31Speaker 13: it was like a 20-year-old boy.
- 30:32Speaker 19: One guy didn't even know, like, what he was going
- 30:34Speaker 19: to ask before.
- 30:35Speaker 17: He was just like, what do I know?
- 30:36Speaker 19: He was like, yeah, um, Angelina.
- 30:38Speaker 18: Um, so your movie, uh, you directed it, and, uh,
- 30:43Speaker 18: you're so awesome, Angelina, I love you.
- 30:44Speaker 17: Yeah, Tomb Raider, Tomb, Tomb Raider?
- 30:47Speaker 15: Okay, I got it.
- 30:47Speaker 17: Tomb Raider, yeah. I know it's Tomb something. Laura Croft,
- 30:51Speaker 17: is that the same movie?
- 30:53Speaker 1: Yes.
- 30:53Speaker 19: Okay, I haven't seen that. I've not seen that.
- 30:57Speaker 5: It's good.
- 30:58Speaker 17: But I have eyes, like I see billboards and things.
- 31:01Speaker 18: I still think the CGI Lara Croft from the video
- 31:06Speaker 18: games is hotter than.
- 31:08Speaker 19: Angelina Jolie in this.
- 31:10Speaker 10: As Lara Croft yeah those just didn't work on so
- 31:14Speaker 10: many levels.
- 31:15Speaker 11: I think you're on a slippery slope when you start
- 31:17Speaker 11: talking about like which video game character is best to spend.
- 31:21Speaker 10: No we're at a convention I think you'll get that
- 31:24Speaker 10: argument like at every other table which video game and they'll.
- 31:27Speaker 19: Say a different thing yeah I just liked her accent.
- 31:30Speaker 20: Better yeah that's true yeah the video games the newest
- 31:34Speaker 20: one's really hot the new Lara Croft I don't know
- 31:38Speaker 20: what system it's for but they like They toned her
- 31:40Speaker 20: down a little bit.
- 31:41Speaker 19: I could control her on a video game, you know?
- 31:44Speaker 1: So, here goes. That's what you're looking for. Come out
- 31:46Speaker 1: of the TV.
- 31:47Speaker 17: Come out of the TV. And that happened, right?
- 31:49Speaker 19: Yeah.
- 31:50Speaker 1: That never happened.
- 31:52Speaker 13: That might be like that in the future. I feel
- 31:54Speaker 13: like cooking shows, that would be awesome. Like, you're watching
- 31:56Speaker 13: them and at the end, like, press button, $ 20.
- 31:58Speaker 17: 99, you get the meal. Like, it comes out. That
- 32:00Speaker 17: would be awesome.
- 32:01Speaker 19: Why $ 20.
- 32:01Speaker 27: 99?
- 32:01Speaker 19: That was expensive.
- 32:03Speaker 17: Whatever. Inflation.
- 32:04Speaker 3: It's a gourmet.
- 32:05Speaker 1: Right, inflation.
- 32:06Speaker 17: You know, you never know.
- 32:08Speaker 3: I want Giada to make us, I want Giada De
- 32:10Speaker 3: Laurentiis to make me dinner.
- 32:11Speaker 17: I saw her at the Santa Monica Farmer's Market. Isn't
- 32:14Speaker 17: she so, oh my God. She was awesome because I'm Italian, right?
- 32:17Speaker 17: So I asked, she's Italian.
- 32:19Speaker 9: What are you?
- 32:20Speaker 1: Okay. She's Spanish, Thai, Italian.
- 32:22Speaker 13: My dad, my dad's Italian-American, but from Milwaukee, Wisconsin. And
- 32:27Speaker 13: my mother's from Italy. It was actually kind of like
- 32:30Speaker 13: the godfather. Like, he went home, like, and met this
- 32:34Speaker 13: little Italian girl who didn't speak any English. And I
- 32:37Speaker 13: was like watching The Godfather for the first time two
- 32:39Speaker 13: years ago. I was like, wow, because he kind of
- 32:40Speaker 13: looks like my dad, Al Pacino.
- 32:42Speaker 17: Wow, this is so amazing.
- 32:44Speaker 9: Boom!
- 32:45Speaker 17: The car blows up right at that moment. I was
- 32:48Speaker 17: so upset.
- 32:49Speaker 1: Daddy!
- 32:50Speaker 2: And you speak Italian.
- 32:51Speaker 13: Yes, I speak Italian the way I speak English.
- 32:53Speaker 26: Oh, God.
- 32:53Speaker 17: Oh, my God.
- 32:54Speaker 22: Say something so cute.
- 32:55Speaker 13: I said, I love all the people from Movie Meltdown.
- 32:59Speaker 17: Plus Randy.
- 33:00Speaker 3: Oh, wow.
- 33:12Speaker 11: And I'm over here trying to think if I could
- 33:14Speaker 11: surreptitiously get the guy with the pig mask.
- 33:17Speaker 2: To sneak up behind you.
- 33:19Speaker 17: I wouldn't have done anything.
- 33:25Speaker 18: It would have been him.
- 33:26Speaker 2: I was just sitting here. I've been like doing nothing.
- 33:28Speaker 2: But he's got, his view is like down here where
- 33:30Speaker 2: his nostrils are. So he can't see me.
- 33:33Speaker 11: But I've been over here frantically doing the eyebrow for nothing.
- 33:36Speaker 17: You know what would be hilarious?
- 33:38Speaker 13: If someone from like the 1600s was like time transported here.
- 33:43Speaker 17: Like to this place.
- 33:44Speaker 28: They would die.
- 33:45Speaker 1: What is this?
- 33:46Speaker 17: Like I wish you had a video camera.
- 33:47Speaker 13: Because like everyone should see this. Like the people that
- 33:49Speaker 13: are walking by.
- 33:51Speaker 1: They're weirdos.
- 33:52Speaker 17: No, I mean they're intense. I like intensity.
- 33:55Speaker 13: Whatever you're intense about, that's good.
- 33:58Speaker 10: Really?
- 33:58Speaker 19: Anything? Follow that logic, girl.
- 34:02Speaker 17: I mean, they really care about you.
- 34:04Speaker 2: Thanks for an interesting night on the Saturday drunk tank.
- 34:08Speaker 17: They're passionate. I'm passionate about it.
- 34:10Speaker 1: Passionate can be a step back, all right. That's a
- 34:14Speaker 1: little more.
- 34:16Speaker 1: In control, I suppose.
- 34:19Speaker 17: Or not.
- 34:19Speaker 1: That would.
- 34:22Speaker 17: Make a really good movie.
- 34:23Speaker 13: Like someone from the 1600s gets transported to a zombie movie.
- 34:27Speaker 17: Set or something.
- 34:28Speaker 1: I'm pretty sure they would just have a heart attack
- 34:30Speaker 1: and die.
- 34:31Speaker 17: That would be terrible.
- 34:34Speaker 1: It would blow their mind and they would have some
- 34:36Speaker 1: sort of aneurysm.
- 34:37Speaker 17: I feel like we have the six most normal outfits here.
- 34:42Speaker 1: We're dorks, is what you're saying. It's okay.
- 34:45Speaker 25: We're counter-cultural within the sub-culture of the counter-culture.
- 34:49Speaker 1: We're fighting back against the counter-culture.
- 34:52Speaker 17: But Misty has an awesome purse.
- 34:54Speaker 13: It has a watermelon with a sad face on it
- 34:57Speaker 13: as a keychain.
- 34:58Speaker 17: Because you got this.
- 34:59Speaker 2: That's her interpretation that it's a sad watermelon. That's still
- 35:03Speaker 2: up to Depay.
- 35:04Speaker 19: The mouth would be.
- 35:06Speaker 17: It's even crying. It's not crying.
- 35:09Speaker 21: It's juicy.
- 35:09Speaker 20: Oh, yeah.
- 35:10Speaker 18: That way it does because it's got that.
- 35:14Speaker 11: those are just those are just accidental scene line up
- 35:19Speaker 11: it's not sad but the blatant.
- 35:20Speaker 13: Worry in his eyes you need to like know what
- 35:23Speaker 13: time you need to.
- 35:24Speaker 19: Go back up I put a timer.
- 35:25Speaker 17: On oh good your parents will.
- 35:28Speaker 13: Have a fit you know like and now director's Good
- 35:31Speaker 13: or Daddy.
- 35:32Speaker 1: And now, here's your parents.
- 35:34Speaker 17: Yeah, they go back.
- 35:36Speaker 10: They're like, I don't know, we told him not to
- 35:38Speaker 10: make movies.
- 35:38Speaker 2: The birth was a long and painful process.
- 35:41Speaker 17: They'll start there. Hopefully he'll come back.
- 35:43Speaker 2: Before they reach 26 years.
- 35:44Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 35:46Speaker 1: We'll kill a little time until he gets here. So
- 35:48Speaker 1: when he's a kid, he'll listen to this story.
- 35:50Speaker 17: They'll tell the dear story, but that's already on this
- 35:52Speaker 17: show first. So you guys have got like.
- 35:55Speaker 1: Exclusive.
- 35:57Speaker 18: I should just put that on YouTube because I know
- 35:59Speaker 18: it would be a big hit. It would become viral,
- 36:03Speaker 18: so that would be the only way I could promote
- 36:05Speaker 18: my movie.
- 36:05Speaker 1: That's how you spread the word.
- 36:07Speaker 17: So speaking of things that should be on YouTube, Misty's squirrel.
- 36:12Speaker 3: We have talked previously about the squirrel, but I think
- 36:15Speaker 3: we promised pictures.
- 36:15Speaker 19: There's got to be.
- 36:16Speaker 17: Some kind of novelty.
- 36:18Speaker 19: You've got to get it when it's humping.
- 36:19Speaker 7: Your arm or something.
- 36:20Speaker 17: No, why does it have to always go across?
- 36:22Speaker 19: It has to be the lowest common denominator.
- 36:23Speaker 2: You can't see the look of horror in Misty's eyes
- 36:26Speaker 2: right now. That's what you're missing.
- 36:28Speaker 15: This is her child.
- 36:29Speaker 17: Like, what's wrong with you?
- 36:31Speaker 1: Eli's been vastly covered there.
- 36:34Speaker 2: I'm just throwing out ideas. I'm an idea man.
- 36:37Speaker 3: Not a good idea man.
- 36:39Speaker 17: I like my idea about this thing.
- 36:40Speaker 13: It's really hard to get a little bed that size.
- 36:43Speaker 20: There's the famous YouTube.
- 36:44Speaker 2: One of the squirrel on the jet skis, right? That's
- 36:47Speaker 2: a classic.
- 37:00Speaker 19: So you gotta think of something Who made a.
- 37:02Speaker 17: Jet ski this big?
- 37:03Speaker 3: It's a little motorized boat Oh, like the things at
- 37:07Speaker 3: the fair.
- 37:08Speaker 19: It's pretty hilarious.
- 37:10Speaker 1: You've been to fairs!
- 37:11Speaker 15: Yay!
- 37:13Speaker 3: It's something I've done!
- 37:14Speaker 13: You're not a total chef Can you speak Italian?
- 37:18Speaker 11: I've been taking flowers for like 16 years.
- 37:21Speaker 13: Like a chastity belt and a big wire fence around me.
- 37:24Speaker 2: And flowers And butterflies Yay, butterflies!
- 37:26Speaker 17: You have a bunch of flowers Is that a butterfly?
- 37:30Speaker 1: It's a moth, more accurately. It's kind of like a butterfly.
- 37:35Speaker 1: Thank you. She's from the land of.
- 37:37Speaker 3: Butterflies and bunnies.
- 37:39Speaker 1: Yes, she is.
- 37:40Speaker 13: Butterflies and bunnies.
- 37:42Speaker 19: The Greek symbol for the psyche is the butterfly.
- 37:47Speaker 1: It explains a lot, doesn't it? Something wrapped up.
- 37:54Speaker 3: I'm just sitting here.
- 37:55Speaker 11: I'm just glad we got to know you guys before
- 37:57Speaker 11: you had bathroom guards.
- 37:59Speaker 2: You haven't seen that. We've been sitting here watching.
- 38:04Speaker 17: The guy that walks with the Norman guy?
- 38:07Speaker 1: Someday you'll have one of those people. Both of you.
- 38:10Speaker 17: Can it be, like.
- 38:11Speaker 19: I'm not going to have a bathroom attendant.
- 38:13Speaker 17: Can it be him? Can he be my bathroom attendant?
- 38:15Speaker 19: I'll have a bathroom attendant, you know?
- 38:18Speaker 1: Just to hand you the paper towels.
- 38:19Speaker 2: Have you ever had a bathroom attendant? I mean, you know,
- 38:22Speaker 2: you feel it.
- 38:23Speaker 11: I went to, like, a scummy club in Baltimore and
- 38:26Speaker 11: we had a bathroom attendant. It was the saddest thing
- 38:29Speaker 11: because he had, like, this alchemy shelf of, like, 500
- 38:33Speaker 11: different things and it was clearly marketed to, like, we
- 38:37Speaker 11: will try to help you get laid.
- 38:39Speaker 6: You're right.
- 38:39Speaker 17: Right, like all the sprays.
- 38:40Speaker 11: I was like, watch, it was a Reverend Horton heat
- 38:42Speaker 11: show at a rock venue, and they had this guy.
- 38:45Speaker 9: Yeah, I know.
- 38:47Speaker 2: That would get Jay.
- 38:49Speaker 11: You know, it's a rockabilly show, and this guy's sitting there,
- 38:51Speaker 11: this old feller with like 61 different bottles, and I'm like, sorry,
- 38:56Speaker 11: I brought my own.
- 38:57Speaker 17: You brought your own, and you got like all the stuff.
- 39:00Speaker 2: I was actually referring to my woman.
- 39:03Speaker 9: Oh.
- 39:04Speaker 1: Well, nobody else there has one of those.
- 39:05Speaker 3: Oh, man.
- 39:09Speaker 12: Local gringos like a party with five heads of hay
- 39:15Speaker 12: Jumpin' in the dumpster with head bails Local gringos like
- 39:20Speaker 12: a party and they.
- 39:21Speaker 9: Like it when it.
- 39:24Speaker 2: Burns And when they drink tequila, they fight for the worms.
- 39:25Speaker 29: Fruit flies showed me the beginning of life.
- 39:27Speaker 8: Cutting up wines with.
- 39:30Speaker 9: A dull butter knife.
- 39:31Speaker 29: Local gringos like a party with five of us.
- 39:34Speaker 12: Jumping in the dumpster with Pepe Ole.
- 39:38Speaker 1: Local gringos like a party and they like their women firm.
- 39:42Speaker 12: And when they drink tequila, they fight.
- 39:47Speaker 17: For the worms.
- 39:57Speaker 4: The most terrifying form of evil is that which lurks
- 40:01Speaker 4: within the human mind. This is Asylum.
- 40:05Speaker 30: The incurably insane.
- 40:08Speaker 4: Asylum. The ultimate in horror.
- 40:14Speaker 1: Asylum.
- 40:15Speaker 4: The prison of madness. Where few enter and none return.
- 40:24Speaker 5: Asylum.
- 40:26Speaker 4: Filled with stark, raving terror. From Robert Block, author of Psycho.
- 40:34Speaker 4: See Asylum. You have nothing to lose but your mind. Asylum.
- 40:45Speaker 4: From Cinerama Releasing. Rated PG. Parental guidance suggested.
- 41:03Speaker 14: Hush-a-bye, don't you cry.
- 41:07Speaker 27: Go to sleep, you little baby.
- 41:12Speaker 14: When you wake, you shall have cake and all the
- 41:17Speaker 14: pretty little horses. Black sandals, dappling grapes, all the pretty
- 41:27Speaker 14: little horses. When mama loves, daddy loves, only love the
- 41:45Speaker 14: little baby. When you wake, you shell of cake, all
- 41:54Speaker 14: the pretty little horses. Black sandals, dappling rays, all the
- 42:04Speaker 14: pretty little horses.
- 42:06Speaker 1: We're here with Christine Klee.
- 42:08Speaker 10: I was going to get into the early stuff, and
- 42:10Speaker 10: from what I had seen, you were one of the
- 42:12Speaker 10: girls that was into horses when you were young.
- 42:14Speaker 9: I was, yes.
- 42:17Speaker 16: I horseback rode pretty much my.
- 42:20Speaker 22: Whole life, since I was six.
- 42:21Speaker 10: Just since we're in horse country at this point, I suppose.
- 42:25Speaker 10: I didn't know if you make it here for any
- 42:27Speaker 10: of the racing or any of that kind of stuff.
- 42:29Speaker 22: I have never made it down here to see the
- 42:31Speaker 22: horses or the races, but I would love to.
- 42:34Speaker 16: Believe me, like, if I, even if I could stay now, I'd,
- 42:37Speaker 16: you know, like to drive around and see some of
- 42:39Speaker 16: the nice farms around here.
- 42:40Speaker 10: Yeah, there's a ridiculous amount of horse farms, depending on
- 42:44Speaker 10: where you go.
- 42:45Speaker 16: Probably, like, everyone down here, like, hates horses because it's
- 42:47Speaker 16: all over the place. But meanwhile, like, I'm, well, I'm
- 42:49Speaker 16: from the east, you know, northeast.
- 42:52Speaker 22: It's a pretty big horse country there as well, I.
- 42:56Speaker 3: Guess, but.
- 42:57Speaker 1: Got a lot of breeders in New York, too.
- 42:59Speaker 17: Yeah, yeah.
- 43:00Speaker 1: So I guess which, because.
- 43:01Speaker 10: You were sort of into that, going into that almost,
- 43:04Speaker 10: you know, professionally at some point, which came first, the
- 43:08Speaker 10: love for that or acting, or did one take from
- 43:11Speaker 10: the other?
- 43:13Speaker 22: You know, probably, I definitely was.
- 43:17Speaker 16: Horseback riding first, but then I didn't really, I definitely
- 43:22Speaker 16: horses first, and then as I was around, like, I
- 43:27Speaker 16: started to act more professionally in off-Broadway stuff, in like
- 43:31Speaker 16: theater stuff in New York. And that was difficult to
- 43:34Speaker 16: balance with horseback riding because both of them were weekend activities.
- 43:41Speaker 22: So they had to, yeah.
- 43:43Speaker 10: I guess at that point, did you already have an
- 43:46Speaker 10: interest in the shooting, in that getting into the directing
- 43:50Speaker 10: somewhere down the line? Did you already kind of see
- 43:52Speaker 10: that you were interested in that as well?
- 43:54Speaker 16: I actually have to say that I always wanted to
- 43:57Speaker 16: be an actor, and I always wanted to be on stage,
- 43:59Speaker 16: and I never really did think about directing.
- 44:01Speaker 22: I thought about... I directed... I would.
- 44:04Speaker 16: Direct myself and my friends in theater, in, like, little
- 44:07Speaker 16: skits and stuff, but... Oh, and I directed theater in college.
- 44:13Speaker 16: But after that, I really... I was interested.
- 44:16Speaker 22: In co-creating things and collaborating, but I never... I never really.
- 44:24Speaker 16: was one of those kids that ran around with a camera,
- 44:27Speaker 16: which maybe that means I'm not.
- 44:30Speaker 22: Going to be a great director, but I don't know.
- 44:33Speaker 1: As you got into it, did you have a specific.
- 44:35Speaker 10: Because you did a lot of theater, and you were
- 44:38Speaker 10: pretty well versed in the theater end of it.
- 44:41Speaker 1: I guess what steered you towards film?
- 44:46Speaker 16: What drew me towards film is not ever making a
- 44:48Speaker 16: paycheck in theater. So after I realized that there was
- 44:53Speaker 16: not going to be any hope for me being in
- 44:55Speaker 16: a really well-known musical in New York City, and I
- 44:58Speaker 16: couldn't make equity wages, I decided to get into film
- 45:03Speaker 16: and TV. No, I mean, it's just a natural progression.
- 45:08Speaker 19: I think.
- 45:11Speaker 22: My first love is still theater.
- 45:12Speaker 10: I know I've talked to a lot of people that
- 45:16Speaker 10: have sort of found their own in the indie scene,
- 45:19Speaker 10: and I didn't know if... I always kind of question,
- 45:22Speaker 10: because some of them seem like they're specifically geared.
- 45:25Speaker 1: Towards the indie scene versus studio stuff.
- 45:27Speaker 10: Did you have a path that you wanted to go,
- 45:30Speaker 10: or is it just finding work? Some people have a
- 45:34Speaker 10: very specific set mindset that they want to do indie
- 45:37Speaker 10: films and steer with that.
- 45:39Speaker 16: Yeah, that's actually a really interesting question that I don't
- 45:42Speaker 16: think anybody's ever asked me before. I definitely, in my mind...
- 45:48Speaker 16: had the idea that I would do independent film. I
- 45:51Speaker 16: never even watched TV and I never wanted to do TV.
- 45:55Speaker 16: I didn't even know anything about TV shows. I also
- 46:01Speaker 16: did not expect to become involved in the horror genre.
- 46:05Speaker 16: I'm always honest about this, but I never watched horror movies.
- 46:09Speaker 16: I never watched a lot of movies. I always went
- 46:11Speaker 16: to see live theater, live music, or I went to,
- 46:14Speaker 16: you know, museums. I didn't even own a television, so...
- 46:18Speaker 16: Or my parents did, but it was in their bedroom, so....
- 46:23Speaker 22: I never imagined myself.
- 46:26Speaker 16: I was definitely, yes, much more involved from the theater
- 46:29Speaker 16: going into an independent film. That seemed like the natural progression.
- 46:33Speaker 16: And instead, I got cast in Rob Zombie's Halloween the
- 46:36Speaker 16: minute I went into Hollywood, so.
- 46:40Speaker 22: I got thrown right into the ringer.
- 46:42Speaker 10: Yeah, because in that year, you're in, like, Halloween and
- 46:45Speaker 10: then Peter and Vandy, which is, like, the polar opposite.
- 46:48Speaker 22: Very much so the polar opposite.
- 46:50Speaker 16: And I think ever since Halloween, I've still probably done
- 46:53Speaker 16: much more indie film or European co-productions, more like than
- 47:00Speaker 16: I have done big studio films. Not that, believe me,
- 47:02Speaker 16: I would love to do another big studio film.
- 47:05Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 47:06Speaker 22: And it'll happen soon, you know, but.
- 47:10Speaker 22: Definitely indie film has been more my path.
- 47:13Speaker 10: We've had Jess Wexler on the show a couple of times.
- 47:17Speaker 22: I love Jess.
- 47:18Speaker 1: Everybody loves her. We kind of adopted her as a
- 47:20Speaker 1: cast member. I don't know if she liked it.
- 47:23Speaker 16: I'm working with Joe Swanberg on my next movie. He
- 47:26Speaker 16: and Jess were both members of Mumblecore. Now that I'm
- 47:31Speaker 16: in NYU as a director, I hear much more about
- 47:34Speaker 16: all the Mumblecore and all the indie actresses and Everybody
- 47:37Speaker 16: only wants to work with the indie actresses, and I'm
- 47:39Speaker 16: not really a part of the indie actor scene or
- 47:42Speaker 16: a part of the studio scene.
- 47:43Speaker 22: I'm somewhere that falls in between everything.
- 47:47Speaker 16: But now, this movie I'm shooting this summer with Zach
- 47:50Speaker 16: Parkers directing it, it's called Proxy.
- 47:54Speaker 22: It'll be cool because the other actors are very indie
- 47:57Speaker 22: scene actors, so hopefully.
- 47:59Speaker 16: It'll... be a crossover movie for both of us them
- 48:03Speaker 16: into horror me into indie.
- 48:04Speaker 10: Yeah well again i mean i guess just to do
- 48:07Speaker 10: a little on halloween and rob zombie is such an
- 48:10Speaker 10: interesting character i guess how is he as a director
- 48:13Speaker 10: i know i've had i think as a visual director
- 48:16Speaker 10: he's amazing but some of his quite i don't know
- 48:19Speaker 10: i have issues with some of the choices he makes
- 48:21Speaker 10: i didn't know what working with him was like on
- 48:24Speaker 10: a shoot.
- 48:26Speaker 16: Oh i mean i personally would never question a director's uh,
- 48:30Speaker 16: vision or a director's, uh, choices on a set. So I,
- 48:33Speaker 16: I wouldn't even like, I mean, unless they were like
- 48:37Speaker 16: awful and I really noticed that, but I mean, no, he,
- 48:42Speaker 16: I would never, I, I never questioned his choices and
- 48:45Speaker 16: I think he's amazing director.
- 48:46Speaker 9: I do.
- 48:47Speaker 16: Um, working with him is very, it's, it's a great
- 48:53Speaker 16: experience because he's, It's a very comforting, very comfortable set
- 48:58Speaker 16: where people are allowed.
- 48:59Speaker 22: To kind of blossom as actors.
- 49:02Speaker 16: I feel like we were allowed to improvise.
- 49:06Speaker 22: He wanted us to be the best we could be.
- 49:08Speaker 16: So if that meant changing a line or making something
- 49:11Speaker 16: sound more natural, he was.
- 49:12Speaker 22: Very open to that.
- 49:16Speaker 16: And he's a very calm kind of presence.
- 49:20Speaker 22: On set. So it feels like you're in really good hands.
- 49:25Speaker 10: Well, not having or watching TV much, I guess, had
- 49:28Speaker 10: you even seen the original run of Halloween?
- 49:32Speaker 16: I had not seen it until I got cast in
- 49:34Speaker 16: this Halloween. And then I actually started watching it and
- 49:36Speaker 16: still didn't finish watching it because I didn't want to
- 49:38Speaker 16: be influenced.
- 49:40Speaker 22: By the original characters.
- 49:43Speaker 16: So, of course, since then I've watched it and watched
- 49:46Speaker 16: many other horror movies for the first time since then.
- 49:49Speaker 1: You've been corrupted, basically.
- 49:52Speaker 16: I mean, I had watched The Shining and Nightmare on
- 49:54Speaker 16: Elm Street totally messed me up when I was a kid.
- 49:56Speaker 16: So I had watched that at a friend's house on
- 49:59Speaker 16: a sleepover and then had nightmares forever and couldn't tell
- 50:02Speaker 16: my parents because I wasn't allowed to watch movies like that.
- 50:05Speaker 1: So... But did you know what you were getting into?
- 50:10Speaker 10: Once you're kind of in that horror world, the fans
- 50:13Speaker 10: are very, you know, receiving, and you kind of have
- 50:16Speaker 10: that fan base. So I guess going in, you didn't
- 50:19Speaker 10: know you were getting into it?
- 50:20Speaker 22: I had no idea. No, I had no, absolutely no idea.
- 50:23Speaker 16: Even still today, sometimes I'm amazed and very grateful for
- 50:28Speaker 16: the fans that have, like, honestly made me be able
- 50:31Speaker 16: to work and to.
- 50:32Speaker 22: Continue to work because... People.
- 50:35Speaker 16: Do notice that, and people know that that's a really
- 50:38Speaker 16: big deal when they're making their movies. I had no idea,
- 50:46Speaker 16: and it couldn't have been more lucky for me, and
- 50:48Speaker 16: I'm very grateful.
- 50:50Speaker 10: I did want to hit just a couple others. I
- 50:53Speaker 10: just watched Chillerama. You as Eva Braun is pretty amazing.
- 50:58Speaker 10: Just anybody that refers to Hitler as Boo Bear.
- 51:03Speaker 1: It's quite an undertaking.
- 51:06Speaker 22: Right.
- 51:09Speaker 16: Well, we had so much fun on that shoot. Adam
- 51:12Speaker 16: Green really wrote a very fantastic script that was very
- 51:17Speaker 16: funny and Joel David Moore did a great performance and
- 51:20Speaker 16: so I think that just came together as a really.
- 51:27Speaker 22: Everybody just did a great job.
- 51:28Speaker 1: It's just fun, yeah. And historically accurate. It's a documentary, right?
- 51:35Speaker 22: Sure, it's a documentary.
- 51:36Speaker 16: Because Ava Brown was a slut who slept with all
- 51:39Speaker 16: the soldiers. I mean, it is kind of accurate that
- 51:43Speaker 16: Hitler was impotent, right?
- 51:46Speaker 22: As we all do kind of believe.
- 51:47Speaker 1: A little power trip, yeah. Compensating in some other way.
- 51:51Speaker 16: That's why he was... So fucked up.
- 51:58Speaker 10: At what point did you realize you kind of wanted
- 52:00Speaker 10: to focus more on directing.
- 52:02Speaker 1: And get into that?
- 52:04Speaker 22: Well, I can say this.
- 52:05Speaker 16: I was on the set of a movie named called
- 52:07Speaker 16: Bella Kiss, which I played the lead in.
- 52:10Speaker 9: And I.
- 52:12Speaker 16: Loved that character. And I think the movie is going
- 52:14Speaker 16: to end up being really great. It comes out theatrically
- 52:17Speaker 16: in Germany this fall. However, the way that the production
- 52:22Speaker 16: was handled was so awful. And I'm saying this honestly
- 52:25Speaker 16: now because I.
- 52:28Speaker 22: Never talk badly about anybody.
- 52:30Speaker 16: But the way that this was handled was unbelievable.
- 52:33Speaker 22: And I was on that set and I just thought, you.
- 52:36Speaker 16: Know, this is a thesis film for these students. They're
- 52:40Speaker 16: getting all these actors for nothing. And they're treating us
- 52:45Speaker 16: so badly. And I thought, you know what, that's it. Like,
- 52:48Speaker 16: I'm going to direct movies and I'm going to treat
- 52:50Speaker 16: my actors amazing. And I'm going to just like, I
- 52:53Speaker 16: can do this. Like, I can do this better than them. Okay, now, granted,
- 52:57Speaker 16: now having directed, I don't think I can do it better. But,
- 53:00Speaker 16: because I know now how hard it is. And that's
- 53:03Speaker 16: a very arrogant way to come at it as. However,
- 53:06Speaker 16: I will always treat people on my sets differently. a
- 53:10Speaker 16: hundred million times better than they did, and I stand
- 53:13Speaker 16: by that.
- 53:14Speaker 1: It's driven, and it at least gives you something to
- 53:16Speaker 1: work towards. Yeah, it's probably good.
- 53:18Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 53:20Speaker 10: And I guess just getting into that one, I mean,
- 53:22Speaker 10: what inspired.
- 53:24Speaker 1: This new movie, As Human as Animal? What, I guess,
- 53:27Speaker 1: brought that.
- 53:29Speaker 22: And by the way, let me just clarify also.
- 53:31Speaker 16: I had thought about going to school for directing and
- 53:35Speaker 16: directing stuff before that set. I mean, it's not like
- 53:38Speaker 16: that was the first time I thought about directing. There
- 53:42Speaker 16: are so many stories I want to tell. My whole life,
- 53:45Speaker 16: I mean, I've always been writing. It was just that
- 53:49Speaker 16: was what pushed it to the edge. So let me clarify.
- 53:52Speaker 1: The last straw.
- 53:54Speaker 16: But so what inspired As Human as Animal? Well, it
- 53:58Speaker 16: was an exercise actually that we were given in school.
- 54:01Speaker 16: But I don't know. I just came up with this
- 54:04Speaker 16: idea over the summer. They had already told us what
- 54:07Speaker 16: to think about. And I was in London and I
- 54:10Speaker 16: just thought about.
- 54:10Speaker 22: For some reason it just came to me. I don't
- 54:12Speaker 22: even know how it came to me.
- 54:13Speaker 16: This image of a man sitting on a porch eating
- 54:18Speaker 16: a steak. And I imagine it kind of being shot
- 54:22Speaker 16: in Once Upon a Time in the West style, with
- 54:24Speaker 16: that really Western close-ups on this guy's face. And you
- 54:31Speaker 16: pull out, and there's his dead wife, and he's eating
- 54:34Speaker 16: a steak next to her. And the sound of the
- 54:36Speaker 16: flies was overwhelming. So that was where my idea came from.
- 54:43Speaker 16: I'm glad I was able to execute it.
- 54:46Speaker 1: Visually, it's really good.
- 54:47Speaker 10: You already, I think, have a really good grasp on
- 54:50Speaker 10: just style and even just putting shots together. That shot,
- 54:54Speaker 10: because I'm a sucker just for very specific shots, and
- 54:56Speaker 10: that shot of him sitting down in the chair is perfectly.
- 54:59Speaker 1: Framed and set up. It's really good, just the basics
- 55:03Speaker 1: of that.
- 55:04Speaker 9: Thank you.
- 55:04Speaker 10: I'm actually interested to see, if you want to get
- 55:07Speaker 10: into feature, just to see what you're looking at.
- 55:10Speaker 1: So that is the next... stage somewhere down the line?
- 55:13Speaker 16: Yeah, I mean, I would love to direct a feature.
- 55:17Speaker 16: I'm very intimidated by the prospect, but I think if
- 55:21Speaker 16: you're not intimidated, like, I used to say, if I'm
- 55:23Speaker 16: not nervous before I'm going up on stage, or, I mean,
- 55:26Speaker 16: actually it was always stage, because I don't get so nervous.
- 55:30Speaker 16: I get more, I don't get stage fright on films,
- 55:33Speaker 16: I get other kind of nervous, but like, I was saying,
- 55:35Speaker 16: if I don't get nervous before I go on stage,
- 55:37Speaker 16: I'm not, I'm doing something wrong.
- 55:38Speaker 22: You know what I mean? Like, then I'm not worried
- 55:42Speaker 22: enough about doing a good job.
- 55:44Speaker 16: Because I think when you're nervous, you end up doing
- 55:46Speaker 16: a better job because, you know, you care about it.
- 55:49Speaker 9: So.
- 55:50Speaker 1: Do you have... Is it still all, like, schooling-based? Are
- 55:54Speaker 1: you still going through school and stuff at this point?
- 55:56Speaker 22: I still have two years left at NYU, um.
- 56:01Speaker 16: I'm not going to lie it's really really difficult to
- 56:04Speaker 16: balance acting and going to school like directing because you're
- 56:07Speaker 16: not only just going to school you're also making movies
- 56:10Speaker 16: and you're crewing on other people's projects there's really no
- 56:14Speaker 16: time to do to act and I don't ever want
- 56:17Speaker 16: to let my acting go so it's been it's been
- 56:22Speaker 16: a it's been a balancing a tightrope act I don't
- 56:25Speaker 16: know what we call that but.
- 56:27Speaker 10: It's a lot to deal with yeah Well, I guess
- 56:31Speaker 10: if you've got new projects coming, acting-wise, you want.
- 56:34Speaker 1: To tell people about?
- 56:35Speaker 17: Oh, yeah.
- 56:36Speaker 16: I mean, I'm about to start shooting Proxy with Zach Parker,
- 56:39Speaker 16: and the cast is Alexia Rasmussen, Alexa Havens, Joe Swanberg,
- 56:46Speaker 16: and myself play the leads.
- 56:48Speaker 22: And it's a really fucked-up movie. I can't even tell you.
- 56:50Speaker 16: What it's about, because number one would ruin it, but
- 56:54Speaker 16: number two, it's complicated.
- 56:58Speaker 15: So.
- 57:00Speaker 16: But all I can say is, like, it's a great script.
- 57:06Speaker 16: And Zach is a great director. He directed Scalene. And
- 57:10Speaker 16: I know he's going to do a great job with it.
- 57:12Speaker 16: All I'm going to say is I have lots of
- 57:16Speaker 16: tattoos in this movie. cut my hair off but I
- 57:20Speaker 16: don't know if that's going to happen and I play
- 57:26Speaker 16: a real toughy a real fucked up chick so.
- 57:31Speaker 1: That'll be fun yeah it's going to be a real script.
- 57:35Speaker 16: I mean I'm not that I guess I am fucked
- 57:36Speaker 16: up like psychologically probably like I'm really weird fucked up
- 57:41Speaker 16: but I'm not like a fucked up person like I'm
- 57:43Speaker 16: a pretty like grounded person who just like thinks a
- 57:46Speaker 16: little differently you know.
- 57:49Speaker 22: And I'm definitely not a fighter. I don't like violence.
- 57:53Speaker 1: You seem very well behaved this weekend. I know. You
- 57:56Speaker 1: haven't beaten anybody down that I've seen.
- 57:58Speaker 22: Yeah, that's what you think. They're all in my hotel room.
- 58:01Speaker 1: Except for that Diamond Dallas Page guy.
- 58:03Speaker 19: I drag them up there.
- 58:04Speaker 1: You smack Diamond Dallas Page around sometimes.
- 58:06Speaker 17: I do.
- 58:06Speaker 1: But he's asking for it.
- 58:07Speaker 22: I do smack him around. You know why?
- 58:09Speaker 16: Because he is asking for it. He's running around as
- 58:12Speaker 16: if he owns the place.
- 58:14Speaker 22: Putting on a show. All that confidence, you know.
- 58:17Speaker 1: And he's mad that in your film he's upstaged.
- 58:20Speaker 2: By Brady.
- 58:21Speaker 9: By Brady, yes.
- 58:22Speaker 22: He is upset that he got upstaged by my dog.
- 58:25Speaker 1: That's what it is. Your dog upstaged him. He's mad
- 58:28Speaker 1: about it.
- 58:29Speaker 22: He was mad about that on set. He's like, get
- 58:32Speaker 22: that dog out of here.
- 58:33Speaker 1: He's a pretty good actor, actually.
- 58:35Speaker 17: Brady Kleeb.
- 58:37Speaker 22: The new Terminator.
- 58:40Speaker 1: They need to reboot that, yeah.
- 58:42Speaker 22: The dog Terminator.
- 58:43Speaker 1: The dog Terminator. That'll be good.
- 58:45Speaker 10: Uh otherwise is there anything um like should people try
- 58:48Speaker 10: to find you online or is there a website for
- 58:50Speaker 10: anything coming up you want to tell people about or.
- 58:52Speaker 16: Um i would just say please follow me on twitter
- 58:54Speaker 16: i don't know why but like my facebook is full
- 58:57Speaker 16: so now let's let's try this twitter thing i need

- 1:01:58Speaker 8: me Yeah, you got.
- 1:02:00Speaker 14: A friend in me.
- 1:02:04Speaker 13: Let's talk about your new show that you started watching, Scooter,
- 1:02:07Speaker 13: that you tried to make me watch yesterday called the
- 1:02:09Speaker 13: Ricky Gervais something or other.
- 1:02:11Speaker 19: The Ricky Gervais show, yeah, it's great.
- 1:02:13Speaker 17: Yeah, but it's like about how they're making fun of
- 1:02:15Speaker 17: their friend.
- 1:02:17Speaker 1: Yeah, they're kind of jerks, they do that.
- 1:02:18Speaker 9: Right?
- 1:02:19Speaker 1: We would never make fun of someone on this show.
- 1:02:23Speaker 2: Just listen to this episode.
- 1:02:24Speaker 17: Yeah, I get a borderline wondering what you said about me.
- 1:02:28Speaker 19: Before you did that. You need to find your own girl.
- 1:02:31Speaker 1: Content, you know.
- 1:02:32Speaker 17: I like your brush. And your hair. I'm like, it's
- 1:02:35Speaker 17: so pink and pretty and bright. I like can't stop
- 1:02:39Speaker 17: looking at her brushing her hair.
- 1:02:42Speaker 3: My Selena Gomez hairbrush.
- 1:02:44Speaker 17: I'm kind of badass.
- 1:02:45Speaker 13: I shaved my head once like four years ago.
- 1:02:48Speaker 17: Would you expect me to do that?
- 1:02:49Speaker 1: Well, you're kind of intense. Oh, me.
- 1:02:51Speaker 3: But did you have a nicely shaped bald head? Because
- 1:02:55Speaker 3: I hate it when people shave their head and they
- 1:02:57Speaker 3: have weird lumps. You didn't have any weird lumps?
- 1:02:59Speaker 9: No, I don't.
- 1:02:59Speaker 1: My mother.
- 1:02:59Speaker 17: See, someone said that means my mother... Like, your mother
- 1:03:02Speaker 17: flipped you a lot when you were a baby. Because, like.
- 1:03:05Speaker 13: Well, yeah, because your head's so malleable, right?
- 1:03:08Speaker 9: So if you.
- 1:03:09Speaker 17: You should know.
- 1:03:10Speaker 1: Yeah, people.
- 1:03:10Speaker 19: Like, there's the cone heads.
- 1:03:11Speaker 15: If you don't flip your baby, they'll have a flat head.
- 1:03:14Speaker 19: You get stuck in the birth canal. You get that
- 1:03:16Speaker 19: sort of... I thought that was because your parents gave
- 1:03:18Speaker 19: you that. They just press down on your head.
- 1:03:19Speaker 15: Until you become normal again.
- 1:03:21Speaker 11: I have a friend who's a prenatal chiropractor that realigns
- 1:03:25Speaker 11: people's skull plates.
- 1:03:26Speaker 17: Before they're even born?
- 1:03:27Speaker 2: No, after they come out. Otherwise, it would be kind
- 1:03:30Speaker 2: of hard. She could probably make some extra money. Oh,
- 1:03:34Speaker 2: it's all perfect.
- 1:03:35Speaker 11: Just don't push real hard.
- 1:03:38Speaker 1: There's no guarantee on this.
- 1:03:40Speaker 17: We were talking about how I shaved my head. Because
- 1:03:42Speaker 17: I was saying, you guys think I'm so sweet, but
- 1:03:45Speaker 17: I shaved my.
- 1:03:45Speaker 9: Head three years ago.
- 1:03:46Speaker 1: What prompted this action?
- 1:03:48Speaker 17: Lice? Because I'm looking at her beautiful hair.
- 1:03:51Speaker 1: No, what prompted the head shave?
- 1:03:54Speaker 13: No, that's why I was thinking about hair.
- 1:03:57Speaker 17: No, I don't know.
- 1:03:59Speaker 13: Lots of various things. I felt like, what is a girl?
- 1:04:03Speaker 13: Does she have to.
- 1:04:04Speaker 17: Have long hair?
- 1:04:05Speaker 2: What is a girl?
- 1:04:07Speaker 1: These are the things that go on in your head.
- 1:04:09Speaker 17: Am I defying my hair? Because people always say, oh,
- 1:04:11Speaker 17: I love your hair.
- 1:04:12Speaker 19: There's a statement against patriarchy.
- 1:04:14Speaker 17: Yeah, something like that.
- 1:04:16Speaker 10: Are you retrofitting things to make this sound cooler?
- 1:04:19Speaker 18: No, I didn't.
- 1:04:20Speaker 17: And also, your hair holds your past.
- 1:04:22Speaker 13: If you think about it, this part of my hair
- 1:04:23Speaker 13: probably grew in 2010.
- 1:04:26Speaker 17: So I was like, I'm done with my past.
- 1:04:29Speaker 13: And I just wanted to do it when I was
- 1:04:30Speaker 13: still young and maybe I had a 50-50 chance of
- 1:04:33Speaker 13: looking okay at it.
- 1:04:35Speaker 17: So, yeah, that's what it is.
- 1:04:38Speaker 19: You're just young and wild and impetuous.
- 1:04:41Speaker 1: Carefree.
- 1:04:41Speaker 17: It was better than going to class.
- 1:04:43Speaker 2: Good word of the day.
- 1:04:46Speaker 17: He's a writer. Yeah, I know. I can tell.
- 1:04:48Speaker 11: He keeps putting subtext on things I wouldn't have put
- 1:04:50Speaker 11: subtext on.
- 1:04:53Speaker 1: Or may not have been there, really. But I'll go
- 1:04:56Speaker 1: with it.
- 1:04:57Speaker 9: All right.
- 1:04:57Speaker 17: Do you think it's everywhere you go, Brian, in case
- 1:05:00Speaker 17: you have an amazing, candid moment?
- 1:05:02Speaker 1: Anywhere we run into you, we need it, really.
- 1:05:04Speaker 10: Because last time I didn't have it, there was like
- 1:05:06Speaker 10: an entire show.
- 1:05:07Speaker 1: It's so true.
- 1:05:08Speaker 17: I was so shy the first time I was on.
- 1:05:10Speaker 13: Well, because I didn't expect to be on, and you
- 1:05:11Speaker 13: talked about 400 movies, and I hadn't seen any of them.
- 1:05:15Speaker 13: And then as soon as I went home, I go
- 1:05:17Speaker 13: on the website, and the last movie you just reviewed,
- 1:05:20Speaker 13: I'd seen, and I was like, one in ten people
- 1:05:22Speaker 13: have seen Timers.
- 1:05:23Speaker 17: I was like, why did we talk about that movie?
- 1:05:25Speaker 1: The other nine were sitting on our show talking about it.
- 1:05:27Speaker 9: Yeah, exactly.
- 1:05:30Speaker 17: Have you seen Timers, Posty?
- 1:05:31Speaker 3: No.
- 1:05:31Speaker 17: It's actually, it's on Netflix instead. I liked it.
- 1:05:34Speaker 1: It's got Emma Caulfield. She's pretty awesome.
- 1:05:38Speaker 3: She's afraid of bunnies, so it's okay.
- 1:05:39Speaker 2: She is afraid of bunnies.
- 1:05:42Speaker 1: Because you are a bunny.
- 1:05:43Speaker 18: I like when you have, like, a really high concept
- 1:05:46Speaker 18: sci-fi or whatever horror, and you just make it about
- 1:05:50Speaker 18: the characters kind of living.
- 1:05:51Speaker 1: It's good.
- 1:05:53Speaker 10: It was interesting, because they could have gone a couple
- 1:05:55Speaker 10: different ways with that, and they went a very unconventional way.
- 1:05:57Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 1:05:59Speaker 1: It had its issues, but it was pretty interesting.
- 1:06:02Speaker 3: He has to pee a lot.
- 1:06:03Speaker 13: That's what I'm going to say. He's walked by four
- 1:06:06Speaker 13: times since I've been here.
- 1:06:08Speaker 11: Well, the awesome thing is it almost looks like they're
- 1:06:10Speaker 11: holding hands because when they first walked by, the guard's
- 1:06:12Speaker 11: hand was back. You know, and I think there's a
- 1:06:15Speaker 11: guy rule that says you don't walk in sync with
- 1:06:19Speaker 11: another guy unless you're in a boy band.
- 1:06:20Speaker 4: Right.
- 1:06:21Speaker 13: And your shirt's half open.
- 1:06:23Speaker 19: In India, right, they hold hands. The guys hold hands together.
- 1:06:27Speaker 17: No, it's in Malaysia. Malaysia. I've seen that in Malaysia.
- 1:06:31Speaker 11: Well, that's because elephants will come out of nowhere and
- 1:06:34Speaker 11: snatch you up if someone isn't.
- 1:06:35Speaker 2: There to hold on.
- 1:06:36Speaker 17: Elephants are mean?
- 1:06:38Speaker 11: Elephants actually, if you want some facts, are the most
- 1:06:41Speaker 11: deadly animal in the zoo.
- 1:06:44Speaker 5: Yes.
- 1:06:44Speaker 15: In a zoo or in the wild?
- 1:06:46Speaker 17: Well, in the wild, too.
- 1:06:47Speaker 2: But in the zoo, the animals that have killed the
- 1:06:49Speaker 2: most people are clearly the elephants.
- 1:06:51Speaker 17: Because they step on them.
- 1:06:53Speaker 2: There you go.
- 1:06:53Speaker 11: Actually, they'll put their head on you and mush you.
- 1:06:56Speaker 11: We call that making a people hat.
- 1:06:58Speaker 1: Yes.
- 1:06:59Speaker 18: And when they get angry and they're like, I'm sick
- 1:07:01Speaker 18: of living in a zoo or a circus, they will
- 1:07:04Speaker 18: kill you.
- 1:07:05Speaker 2: They'll go on a rampage.
- 1:07:06Speaker 1: They're pissed off. It's always cool for the audience that
- 1:07:09Speaker 1: happens to be there that day.
- 1:07:11Speaker 11: On the safe other side with the trainers like banging
- 1:07:14Speaker 11: on the freshly locked door.
- 1:07:15Speaker 17: If you like this, it's gore. You'd be like, it's gore.
- 1:07:18Speaker 17: Who cares? I've seen this guts flying.
- 1:07:21Speaker 18: If you think about it, like, Alexander the Great riding
- 1:07:25Speaker 18: on elephants, that had to have been one of the
- 1:07:27Speaker 18: coolest battles ever. Can you imagine a bunch of angry
- 1:07:30Speaker 18: elephants destroying things?
- 1:07:32Speaker 10: Can you imagine being on the opposite side of that scene,
- 1:07:34Speaker 10: that coming at you?
- 1:07:37Speaker 2: I'm trying to think.
- 1:07:39Speaker 11: The battles, don't quote me, I'm ballparking, but it was
- 1:07:42Speaker 11: Hannibal versus the Greeks, I think.
- 1:07:47Speaker 2: And there was one battle where they lured.
- 1:07:52Speaker 2: Never mind, I'm going to drop it.
- 1:07:53Speaker 1: Well, no, in the middle of that she went, not Hannibal, Lex.
- 1:07:57Speaker 9: No, no, no.
- 1:07:58Speaker 1: No, no. I couldn't focus.
- 1:08:00Speaker 11: They basically lured these guys into a valley and then
- 1:08:03Speaker 11: blocked them all off, and they couldn't move, this whole army.
- 1:08:07Speaker 11: And they had to sit there and watch their friends
- 1:08:10Speaker 11: get slaughtered, because you're all on foot, and you had
- 1:08:13Speaker 11: to sit there and look at your friends about 100
- 1:08:15Speaker 11: yards off, 200 yards because it's thousands of guys and
- 1:08:19Speaker 11: the guys in the center eventually gave up dug a
- 1:08:21Speaker 11: hole and buried their heads to suffocate for a better
- 1:08:25Speaker 11: death than one at the hands of their enemies yeah
- 1:08:28Speaker 11: he was.
- 1:08:28Speaker 17: He had that in the.
- 1:08:30Speaker 19: Works and i think it fell apart yeah.
- 1:08:40Speaker 5: Vin Diesel.
- 1:08:40Speaker 16: Vin Dweeble.
- 1:08:41Speaker 1: I don't know if that's a good casting. No, not
- 1:08:45Speaker 1: in my mind.
- 1:08:46Speaker 17: Whoa, I need a V5. Can I tell you about
- 1:08:49Speaker 17: the last time I was on your show?
- 1:08:51Speaker 13: I was really embarrassed afterwards about something because you asked us,
- 1:08:56Speaker 13: what good movies have you seen lately? And I said
- 1:08:58Speaker 13: that I'd seen this movie called Margaret. which was really good.
- 1:09:03Speaker 13: little obscure, like, R & C cinema house, and I
- 1:09:06Speaker 13: told you about a preview for a film.
- 1:09:08Speaker 17: That looked really scary, and the movie was Michael, this
- 1:09:11Speaker 17: German movie.
- 1:09:12Speaker 10: You told me after the fact what really was going
- 1:09:15Speaker 10: on in that movie.
- 1:09:16Speaker 17: Yeah, because I went home and looked up what it
- 1:09:18Speaker 17: was about, and I was like, oh my god, I
- 1:09:20Speaker 17: can't believe I talked about this and promoted this film.
- 1:09:23Speaker 17: It does not show that in the preview at all.
- 1:09:26Speaker 13: So, any apologies to anyone who actually went out and
- 1:09:30Speaker 13: listens to me about films and wanted to watch it.
- 1:09:32Speaker 1: You are an authority on films.
- 1:09:34Speaker 17: It's called Michael. It's a German movie. Like, the preview
- 1:09:37Speaker 17: is so sick. Like, the little trailer. Like, everyone was
- 1:09:41Speaker 17: at the edge of their seats in the theater and gasped.
- 1:09:43Speaker 13: But it's about, like, this man who finds a young boy, like,
- 1:09:48Speaker 13: locks him in his house for weird purposes. So I
- 1:09:51Speaker 13: would never have talked about that film. But here I
- 1:09:54Speaker 13: am doing it once more.
- 1:09:55Speaker 1: You really love that idea.
- 1:09:58Speaker 15: Don't you?
- 1:09:58Speaker 9: What?
- 1:09:58Speaker 3: You're saying he knows.
- 1:09:59Speaker 9: Yeah.
- 1:10:00Speaker 17: Because, like, people, yeah, that looked interesting. Because I was
- 1:10:03Speaker 17: trying to be, like, I know the film's.
- 1:10:05Speaker 15: Doing well in seven.
- 1:10:06Speaker 17: It's like, no, yeah. I'd have to try to be European.
- 1:10:11Speaker 29: Maybe the artsy part.
- 1:10:16Speaker 10: So, that's a plug for Michael. I still say that
- 1:10:21Speaker 10: the John Travolta one's way scarier.
- 1:10:23Speaker 1: I'm sorry.
- 1:10:23Speaker 17: John Travolta's way scarier than... Oh, Michael!
- 1:10:26Speaker 9: Or John Travolta.
- 1:10:28Speaker 1: Yeah, you can't compare. That's got to be way more traumatizing.
- 1:10:32Speaker 17: What's the difference between Michael and Phenomenon? They both suck.
- 1:10:36Speaker 1: They both starred John Travolta.
- 1:10:38Speaker 19: They're both bad John Travolta movies.
- 1:10:40Speaker 1: I've not seen any Travolta, so I have no idea.
- 1:10:43Speaker 17: Randy has nothing to say about this.
- 1:10:45Speaker 2: I loathe John Travolta. No, I loathe him.
- 1:10:54Speaker 11: I view him as like a stain upon the city,
- 1:10:58Speaker 11: upon the body cinematic.
- 1:11:02Speaker 17: He's a product.
- 1:11:03Speaker 2: I don't like him, and I don't like Tom Cruise.
- 1:11:08Speaker 17: You don't like Scientologist, is what you're really saying.
- 1:11:11Speaker 1: Oh, that too. Well, yeah. Most people feel that way.
- 1:11:15Speaker 9: Well, okay.
- 1:11:16Speaker 17: I kind of agree, but.
- 1:11:17Speaker 10: Liked him in Carrie.
- 1:11:18Speaker 2: Liked him in Carrie.
- 1:11:20Speaker 11: Yeah, he was still, yeah, it was okay.
- 1:11:25Speaker 2: I suppose Grease, but I never.
- 1:11:30Speaker 17: Watched it.
- 1:11:32Speaker 11: That was okay, but after that, that's when his star rose.
- 1:11:36Speaker 15: Yeah, I'm so beautiful.
- 1:11:38Speaker 17: I'm smoking.
- 1:11:39Speaker 2: Look at me.
- 1:11:39Speaker 17: I'm, you know. Not bad.
- 1:11:42Speaker 1: No stellar performances in the Look Who's Talking series?
- 1:11:45Speaker 25: I mean.
- 1:11:45Speaker 17: You can tell about people. He's so great at that.
- 1:11:49Speaker 17: Just his mom.
- 1:11:50Speaker 9: Yeah, sure.
- 1:11:50Speaker 17: Like, he's a movie star.
- 1:11:52Speaker 2: Yeah, but... But, like, I don't know. Look at it
- 1:11:54Speaker 2: this way. Like, Tom Cruise is a tiny little man.
- 1:11:59Speaker 1: We all know that.
- 1:11:59Speaker 17: He's like five. Right.
- 1:12:02Speaker 19: Five, six.
- 1:12:02Speaker 4: Maybe.
- 1:12:03Speaker 17: Five, one.
- 1:12:04Speaker 1: Four, seven.
- 1:12:04Speaker 12: Right.
- 1:12:05Speaker 9: And shrinking.
- 1:12:05Speaker 3: Three, two.
- 1:12:07Speaker 11: And as you can tell, I am about maybe 5'7.
- 1:12:11Speaker 11: And to have somebody out there who makes his entire
- 1:12:14Speaker 11: living having people squat around him to make him look better.
- 1:12:17Speaker 17: Oh, he makes them do that?
- 1:12:19Speaker 19: Yeah.
- 1:12:20Speaker 17: He has a really bad Napoleon complex.
- 1:12:23Speaker 2: Yeah, I know.
- 1:12:24Speaker 11: But to me, that's like being a race trader, except
- 1:12:28Speaker 11: it's a height trader.
- 1:12:29Speaker 13: He's supposed to build up his fellow shore men, but instead.
- 1:12:33Speaker 11: He abandons us, you know, and paints himself another height,
- 1:12:39Speaker 11: and then runs off.
- 1:12:40Speaker 15: And I'm bitter about that. Because, you know, it.
- 1:12:44Speaker 11: Just informs that whole idea that small people are to
- 1:12:48Speaker 11: be battered around or shot as security guards on your
- 1:12:51Speaker 11: way through to commit the crime.
- 1:12:52Speaker 13: So Danny DeVito is your favorite then?
- 1:12:56Speaker 1: He's pretty proud of it.
- 1:12:57Speaker 9: He owns it.
- 1:12:58Speaker 1: Except for twins.
- 1:12:59Speaker 2: I could hunt him across a field for being in
- 1:13:02Speaker 2: that one.
- 1:13:03Speaker 1: But again, he's holding his own with Schwarzenegger. So, you know,
- 1:13:06Speaker 1: that takes a lot.
- 1:13:07Speaker 2: As an afterbirth.
- 1:13:09Speaker 1: Well, yeah.
- 1:13:11Speaker 17: He's like the placenta turned human.
- 1:13:14Speaker 1: Haven't we all kind of thought that at one point
- 1:13:16Speaker 1: about Danny DeVito? And I like the guy, but, I mean,
- 1:13:20Speaker 1: come on.
- 1:13:21Speaker 19: This just pops in my head. Have you ever seen
- 1:13:24Speaker 19: the movie Virtuosity?
- 1:13:25Speaker 12: Yeah.
- 1:13:25Speaker 25: Because it's the staying alive part.
- 1:13:29Speaker 18: It's like they play that song and then they have
- 1:13:31Speaker 18: Russell Crowe. walking down the street. Young Russell Crowe.
- 1:13:35Speaker 17: Doing the same thing?
- 1:13:36Speaker 19: Pre-fat Russell Crowe walking down the street.
- 1:13:39Speaker 9: Like when he was still hot.
- 1:13:40Speaker 19: Yeah, when he was, when he was all.
- 1:13:41Speaker 1: Like when I was going to marry him. Yeah, back
- 1:13:43Speaker 1: when you had a thing for Russell Crowe before he
- 1:13:45Speaker 1: got lame.
- 1:13:46Speaker 18: That, that's a nice, that's a nice movie to possibly
- 1:13:49Speaker 18: discuss because it's like, it's a 90s kind of like,
- 1:13:53Speaker 18: Back when it was like the net, you know?
- 1:13:55Speaker 3: Right.
- 1:13:56Speaker 19: The internet was the net.
- 1:13:58Speaker 1: I don't remember that.
- 1:13:59Speaker 10: That one without Sean, though, will he be sad because
- 1:14:02Speaker 10: he missed that terrible movie?
- 1:14:06Speaker 1: It seems right up his alley. Yeah.
- 1:14:08Speaker 19: It's one of those terrible movies that's really good. How
- 1:14:11Speaker 19: have we watched it recently?
- 1:14:13Speaker 1: Virtuosity?
- 1:14:14Speaker 9: Virtuosity.
- 1:14:15Speaker 19: Never heard of it.
- 1:14:16Speaker 17: I've heard of Velocity.
- 1:14:18Speaker 1: That's also where he got the name for his killer band.
- 1:14:22Speaker 1: 30-odd foot of grunts. That's from the sound mixing of Virtuosity.
- 1:14:26Speaker 19: Russell Crowe is Noah. He's going to be the new Noah.
- 1:14:29Speaker 2: Unfortunately.
- 1:14:29Speaker 4: With the heart?
- 1:14:30Speaker 2: They're making a fucking movie about Noah.
- 1:14:32Speaker 19: Darren Aronofsky.
- 1:14:33Speaker 10: Yeah.
- 1:14:33Speaker 17: Oh, I love Darren Aronofsky.
- 1:14:35Speaker 1: Figure that out.
- 1:14:35Speaker 19: It's going to be awesome, I think.
- 1:14:37Speaker 17: Is he going to find two of each animal?
- 1:14:39Speaker 1: And dinosaurs.
- 1:14:41Speaker 17: And dinosaurs?
- 1:14:42Speaker 19: That would be fun.
- 1:14:44Speaker 1: It would, actually.
- 1:14:45Speaker 17: I hope he's, like, the only person in the movie
- 1:14:47Speaker 17: with the animals. Like, I hope it's, like.
- 1:14:49Speaker 13: hosts like he's already out at sea that came with
- 1:14:53Speaker 13: all these animals.
- 1:14:54Speaker 1: Then wouldn't all the people also be dead.
- 1:14:56Speaker 3: On the world?
- 1:14:56Speaker 17: Oh, that's right.
- 1:14:57Speaker 2: There'd be other people out there.
- 1:14:59Speaker 11: Their floated and swollen bodies would be floating by. I
- 1:15:02Speaker 11: wonder if there's a.
- 1:15:04Speaker 18: Story in the Bible after the flood where... Like Noah's brother,
- 1:15:09Speaker 18: I think, or something. His daughters sleep with him. You know,
- 1:15:12Speaker 18: you get him drunk and sleep with him.
- 1:15:14Speaker 19: I wonder if they'll do that then.
- 1:15:16Speaker 1: Well, if they kill off all the other people in
- 1:15:18Speaker 1: the world, like Rose once.
- 1:15:19Speaker 10: Then the after part, when the waters recede, then it's
- 1:15:23Speaker 10: going to be Noah repopulating the earth with animals. It's
- 1:15:26Speaker 10: just going to be Noah and, well, tonight's a camel.
- 1:15:29Speaker 3: All right, let's go.
- 1:15:30Speaker 17: Okay, people, that's where we come from now, you know.
- 1:15:32Speaker 17: That was my biology lesson.
- 1:15:35Speaker 1: Hooking up with animals, that's what Rose likes.
- 1:15:37Speaker 13: No, it's because they don't talk about that part, do they?
- 1:15:39Speaker 13: They always pretend he was, like, by himself with.
- 1:15:41Speaker 17: All these animals.
- 1:15:42Speaker 19: No, it wasn't by himself. He was with seven of
- 1:15:44Speaker 19: his other people. They were the only people that didn't
- 1:15:48Speaker 19: get smoted.
- 1:15:49Speaker 3: Right.
- 1:15:50Speaker 10: I thought for a second you were like, no, it's
- 1:15:52Speaker 10: because they don't talk. I was like, you and the animals. Well,
- 1:15:55Speaker 10: afterwards they can't talk. Whatever we had going on, they
- 1:15:59Speaker 10: can't talk about it afterwards.
- 1:16:02Speaker 1: One of those situations.
- 1:16:05Speaker 17: This show is not PG.
- 1:16:07Speaker 1: No, no. Explicit. Explicit.
- 1:16:11Speaker 3: I'm afraid to say bad words in front.
- 1:16:14Speaker 10: Of her or something.
- 1:16:15Speaker 1: She does not approve.
- 1:16:18Speaker 17: It's okay. I probably will be A to D in
- 1:16:20Speaker 17: looking at something else.
- 1:16:22Speaker 18: I don't care.
- 1:16:22Speaker 13: Even when cement has sparkly things in it, I look
- 1:16:25Speaker 13: at the floor the whole time.
- 1:16:26Speaker 17: Look at how sparkly. How many boyfriends buy me a.
- 1:16:29Speaker 1: Shiny ring today?
- 1:16:30Speaker 17: Oh, it's so pretty. It's like blue.
- 1:16:37Speaker 11: It's like a ring with a special ring for your hand.
- 1:16:42Speaker 2: You can move it to your other hand and have
- 1:16:44Speaker 2: two rings.
- 1:16:45Speaker 3: I keep rubbing it out of habit.
- 1:16:47Speaker 2: I rubbed all.
- 1:16:49Speaker 17: The blue off. I rubbed all the blue, now it's silver.
- 1:16:52Speaker 3: It was like that kind of blue all over.
- 1:16:54Speaker 11: I'm here basically for friends like them because what it
- 1:17:07Speaker 11: comes down to is a listener to one of these
- 1:17:09Speaker 11: things is like I work a blue-collar job so I've
- 1:17:12Speaker 11: got a lot of flat time and you find whatever
- 1:17:14Speaker 11: your interests are and You know, I'm fairly well along
- 1:17:19Speaker 11: in life, so I actually have enough means to come
- 1:17:21Speaker 11: out and see them.
- 1:17:22Speaker 9: You know, it.
- 1:17:23Speaker 11: Doesn't, like, cripple me financially or anything, so it's like, well,
- 1:17:26Speaker 11: I'll go meet them and see if they can stand me,
- 1:17:28Speaker 11: you know?
- 1:17:29Speaker 17: This is your first time meeting?
- 1:17:30Speaker 20: Oh, no.
- 1:17:30Speaker 17: Oh, okay.
- 1:17:31Speaker 2: No, I've been out before.
- 1:17:32Speaker 3: Okay, but you guys have, like, bonded.
- 1:17:35Speaker 17: Yeah, you're a family.
- 1:17:37Speaker 11: Yeah, no one's held anyone's hair while they vomited, but,
- 1:17:39Speaker 11: you know, we're just not that intense.
- 1:17:43Speaker 3: But he did bring his dehydrator so the boyfriend could
- 1:17:45Speaker 3: make his own jerky. He made jerky. My boyfriend made jerky.
- 1:17:48Speaker 9: Are you a.
- 1:17:48Speaker 15: Raw foodist or do you have a dehydrator?
- 1:17:51Speaker 11: No, that's like a side gig that I do that
- 1:17:53Speaker 11: I'm kind of known for is I make jerky.
- 1:17:56Speaker 3: Oh, cool.
- 1:17:57Speaker 11: So when we did this driving trip, we brought the
- 1:17:59Speaker 11: dehydrator in every friend's house we stopped at.
- 1:18:02Speaker 2: I'd sent them, like, instructions. They all made jerky.
- 1:18:05Speaker 11: And the heavyweight champ would be that man sitting right.
- 1:18:08Speaker 2: There, because Jay's was clearly the best.
- 1:18:11Speaker 17: Really?
- 1:18:11Speaker 3: Sorry, guys.
- 1:18:12Speaker 9: What did you use?
- 1:18:13Speaker 1: How did you see through it?
- 1:18:14Speaker 17: It was pretty good.
- 1:18:16Speaker 15: Yeah, the only extra thing I used was ginger and
- 1:18:18Speaker 15: Thai chili paste.
- 1:18:19Speaker 17: Ah, so you added a little fusion, and that made
- 1:18:22Speaker 17: all the difference.
- 1:18:22Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 1:18:23Speaker 17: You could probably sell that. You should go on Shark Tank.
- 1:18:26Speaker 11: That means there's going to be more of them.
- 1:18:29Speaker 17: Yeah, they're going to be like, how many people have
- 1:18:31Speaker 17: you sold it to? It'll be like, Brandy, Brian, Disney, Scooter,
- 1:18:34Speaker 17: and Rose.
- 1:18:35Speaker 1: But they all live, so I'm pretty sure it's okay.
- 1:18:38Speaker 19: I haven't eaten any.
- 1:18:39Speaker 17: And three Ghostbusters at a festival.
- 1:18:41Speaker 2: Yeah, she doesn't like Capricorn.
- 1:18:43Speaker 17: That looks really scary, but I will try it.
- 1:18:46Speaker 2: If he honors you with it, it's pretty good.
- 1:18:50Speaker 17: Awesome. Is it beef?
- 1:18:52Speaker 2: Yeah, it's beef.
- 1:18:53Speaker 15: Thank you.
- 1:18:54Speaker 17: Wow, this is awesome. You're even feeding us.
- 1:18:58Speaker 1: Beef and snacks. That's what we have. Uh-oh.
- 1:19:01Speaker 18: Hey!
- 1:19:01Speaker 1: Gotta watch these people trying to steal your meat.
- 1:19:05Speaker 19: That's really good.
- 1:19:07Speaker 9: It turned out good.
- 1:19:08Speaker 17: I never knew that's how you made jerky. Why did
- 1:19:12Speaker 17: you become a jerky? How's that your hobby?
- 1:19:17Speaker 2: What happened? I work with an asshole.
- 1:19:19Speaker 1: Hi, Ed.
- 1:19:20Speaker 17: Hi, Ed!
- 1:19:21Speaker 15: Ed murders deer by the dozen.
- 1:19:27Speaker 18: I like Ed already.
- 1:19:31Speaker 2: So Ed's always got jerky and he always brings it
- 1:19:34Speaker 2: into work. And I thought, that's not bad.
- 1:19:35Speaker 15: And then I thought.
- 1:19:36Speaker 17: Deer jerky.
- 1:19:37Speaker 12: Right.
- 1:19:38Speaker 11: And, you know, I've made some deer, I've made a
- 1:19:41Speaker 11: lot of beef, but it came down to, I think
- 1:19:45Speaker 11: I could probably do a little better. And then I
- 1:19:47Speaker 11: just kept working at it. Basically, you know, you get meat,
- 1:19:50Speaker 11: you marinate it in something... that you really like, and
- 1:19:54Speaker 11: there's certain guidelines to it. You let it sit for
- 1:19:56Speaker 11: a couple of days, and then boom.
- 1:19:58Speaker 17: So you dehydrate it before you slice it?
- 1:20:01Speaker 12: No.
- 1:20:02Speaker 19: You did it basically show up and be like, I'm
- 1:20:06Speaker 19: better than you in every way.
- 1:20:08Speaker 17: No, really, really good.
- 1:20:09Speaker 19: Even when you think you're good at it, I'm better
- 1:20:11Speaker 19: than you.
- 1:20:11Speaker 9: No, awesome.
- 1:20:12Speaker 2: See, you have found the subtext of my existence. Please
- 1:20:15Speaker 2: look no deeper.
- 1:20:18Speaker 19: Hey, that's, you know.
- 1:20:19Speaker 2: Because then I brought it into work and I was like, here,
- 1:20:20Speaker 2: why don't you try some of this? Guys were like, wow,
- 1:20:23Speaker 2: that's great. Or the, oh God, that's too hot.
- 1:20:25Speaker 19: But then he looked at you like with just, you
- 1:20:27Speaker 19: took like the one thing from him.
- 1:20:29Speaker 17: The one thing that was his.
- 1:20:30Speaker 2: No, no, no.
- 1:20:31Speaker 11: He's the guy who comes into the mark that shows,
- 1:20:33Speaker 11: you know, look, I shot a fox in my backyard.
- 1:20:36Speaker 11: You know, had to leave fried chicken out to get
- 1:20:38Speaker 11: him to come out, you know.
- 1:20:40Speaker 19: Couldn't you have just eaten the fried chicken?
- 1:20:42Speaker 18: It's like Chaney doing whatever that type of hunting is
- 1:20:46Speaker 18: where you just like, they just.
- 1:20:50Speaker 2: I don't have a problem with hunting. I have a
- 1:20:52Speaker 2: problem with.
- 1:20:53Speaker 11: He brings in videos of guys going on tours to
- 1:20:57Speaker 11: Africa where there's 12 guys, they have automatic weapons, and there's.
- 1:21:02Speaker 2: A lion up on a hill. And they've been drawn
- 1:21:04Speaker 2: out to kill this lion.
- 1:21:06Speaker 11: And, you know, they got this one guy and they're
- 1:21:08Speaker 11: in a, you know, they're.
- 1:21:08Speaker 1: In a Jeep.
- 1:21:09Speaker 11: They know it's there. They've been leaving food for it
- 1:21:11Speaker 11: to sit there. They drive out there and they aim
- 1:21:15Speaker 11: for it. And the one guy shoots and it gets
- 1:21:17Speaker 11: up and.
- 1:21:17Speaker 2: Starts running the 300 yards to get to them and
- 1:21:20Speaker 2: 12 guys gun it down.
- 1:21:22Speaker 1: That's not.
- 1:21:22Speaker 19: Oh, I've seen the YouTube video. Are you kidding?
- 1:21:25Speaker 2: Yeah, I think it's kind of horrible.
- 1:21:27Speaker 17: That's called punting.
- 1:21:29Speaker 2: And this is a guy who buys that video off television.
- 1:21:33Speaker 17: He pays the extra money to get it.
- 1:21:35Speaker 2: With the shipping and handling.
- 1:21:36Speaker 13: Ed, you are my least favorite person. I have never
- 1:21:40Speaker 13: met you, but I hope you know that.
- 1:21:42Speaker 17: Something really wrong.
- 1:21:44Speaker 19: Just stick with the deer, Ed. Stick with the deer.
- 1:21:46Speaker 19: They're the worst. They're worse than lions.
- 1:21:49Speaker 17: Well, you know what? Maybe it'd be a serial killer
- 1:21:52Speaker 17: if he didn't do this. I shouldn't say this.
- 1:21:55Speaker 1: The lion, you mean?
- 1:21:56Speaker 17: No, he's not one of the people that went for him.
- 1:21:58Speaker 17: That's terrible. They're not even eating the lion.
- 1:22:01Speaker 3: No.
- 1:22:01Speaker 9: You can.
- 1:22:04Speaker 1: I've had a lion burger.
- 1:22:06Speaker 19: Well, the Zulu, they have to kill the lion while
- 1:22:08Speaker 19: it's sleeping.
- 1:22:09Speaker 17: Booger, I thought you said booger.
- 1:22:11Speaker 19: I got shipped to you.
- 1:22:12Speaker 18: They have to wait until the lion's sleeping, then they
- 1:22:14Speaker 18: sneak up on it and kill it.
- 1:22:16Speaker 17: That's it. I don't like this conversation. I'm about to leave.
- 1:22:18Speaker 1: Seriously.
- 1:22:19Speaker 19: I'm saying they don't.
- 1:22:21Speaker 13: Have an automatic weapon. So, I was at your show
- 1:22:25Speaker 13: with Fred. He was talking about conventions you don't belong at.
- 1:22:28Speaker 13: He was talking about the trucker one that he went to, right?
- 1:22:31Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 1:22:33Speaker 1: I think that was Greg.
- 1:22:35Speaker 17: That was Greg?
- 1:22:36Speaker 1: I think so.
- 1:22:36Speaker 2: Fred's the one that's sort of languid in his speech.
- 1:22:39Speaker 2: Did you ever wonder?
- 1:22:41Speaker 17: Yeah, yeah, he sounds just like that. If Fred doesn't show,
- 1:22:44Speaker 17: you can be Fred.
- 1:22:45Speaker 1: I can't be Fred.
- 1:22:45Speaker 15: Just for that day.
- 1:22:47Speaker 2: You can be Randy, but you can't be Fred. I
- 1:22:49Speaker 2: can't be Fred.
- 1:22:51Speaker 11: Fred is a deep subconscious that I lack and an
- 1:22:54Speaker 11: appreciation of the world.
- 1:22:55Speaker 17: He's very funny. Yes, he is.
- 1:22:56Speaker 3: I like him.
- 1:22:57Speaker 17: His parents were professors. That's what he said. That's all
- 1:22:59Speaker 17: I remember.
- 1:23:00Speaker 2: Poet Laureate of Kentucky.
- 1:23:01Speaker 17: Wow.
- 1:23:04Speaker 1: That's pretty special.
- 1:23:05Speaker 2: It is.
- 1:23:07Speaker 11: And me, I had someone, I'm walking through this convention,
- 1:23:10Speaker 11: and they're desperately trying to hawk their stuff, where you're
- 1:23:12Speaker 11: trying to look but not make eye contact, and this desperate.
- 1:23:16Speaker 2: Woman goes, Do you like poetry? And I'm like, I
- 1:23:20Speaker 2: just got here. You know, and you do the Muppet
- 1:23:23Speaker 2: walk to get away. It's like, I really don't want
- 1:23:25Speaker 2: to buy your poetry right here and now.
- 1:23:28Speaker 18: We just saw the documentary about Elmo.
- 1:23:33Speaker 3: Oh, yeah.
- 1:23:34Speaker 22: Elmo.
- 1:23:35Speaker 19: Which was pretty interesting.
- 1:23:37Speaker 1: It sounds interesting I just don't want.
- 1:23:39Speaker 11: To watch Elmo does he roll out of bed in
- 1:23:41Speaker 11: the morning and do a few bong bits before he goes.
- 1:23:43Speaker 13: To work no he's like the nicest human being ever
- 1:23:45Speaker 13: now if everyone's wondering why every movie I've seen has
- 1:23:48Speaker 13: been with Scooter it's because.
- 1:23:50Speaker 17: I have no TV and he has Netflix.
- 1:23:53Speaker 13: So whenever I'm like oh it's time to watch something.
- 1:23:56Speaker 11: I go to Scooter Bronson is on Netflix is it
- 1:23:59Speaker 11: on Netflix instead so we will.
- 1:24:01Speaker 17: See this before what are you.
- 1:24:03Speaker 2: Leaving I'm leaving tomorrow morning at like 7 a.m.
- 1:24:05Speaker 3: Wow.
- 1:24:07Speaker 2: I got a 12-hour drive.
- 1:24:09Speaker 9: Wow.
- 1:24:10Speaker 3: Eh, well.
- 1:24:10Speaker 17: You're probably the person who came here from the farthest, well,
- 1:24:13Speaker 17: we came here.
- 1:24:13Speaker 2: No, you win.
- 1:24:16Speaker 13: There probably is someone here from somewhere else, like that
- 1:24:18Speaker 13: obsessed with Buffy, just like here from Tokyo.
- 1:24:20Speaker 10: Actually, the last convention I was at, I met a
- 1:24:24Speaker 10: guy who came from Hawaii to be there.
- 1:24:26Speaker 17: Wow.
- 1:24:27Speaker 1: And it was here. It was in Louisville, and he
- 1:24:30Speaker 1: came from Hawaii. I wanted to shake him and be like,
- 1:24:34Speaker 1: what are you doing? Go back home. It's way better there.
- 1:24:38Speaker 1: But he was pretty awesome, so.
- 1:24:40Speaker 13: I feel like we should have a competition because I've
- 1:24:43Speaker 13: seen way too many Ghostbusters. Aren't there supposed to only
- 1:24:45Speaker 13: be four? We should have a competition where we can
- 1:24:47Speaker 13: all line up.
- 1:24:48Speaker 17: And pull which ones are our actual Ghostbusters.
- 1:24:51Speaker 3: We need to have a fight to the death.
- 1:24:53Speaker 1: That's what I'm thinking. A battle royale. Battle royale of Ghostbusters.
- 1:24:58Speaker 17: It would be awesome to ghost, but there aren't any.
- 1:25:02Speaker 11: I'm going to steal the conversational topic. We're sitting across
- 1:25:05Speaker 11: from an ultimate green screen experience.
- 1:25:08Speaker 1: Right, right.
- 1:25:08Speaker 2: So they pose you and they take a photo and
- 1:25:10Speaker 2: they try and sell you this photo later. I know
- 1:25:14Speaker 2: that they take that photo back and they put dicks
- 1:25:16Speaker 2: in your mouth. Okay, that's the way my brain works.
- 1:25:19Speaker 17: Like around their house, the people that own this.
- 1:25:22Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, you know. Like, I just, that's my view
- 1:25:26Speaker 2: of human, you know, motivation.
- 1:25:28Speaker 1: Yeah, that's pretty much how people operate.
- 1:25:31Speaker 13: That reminds me of why I don't really have a
- 1:25:32Speaker 13: Facebook account anymore. Because a couple years ago for Halloween,
- 1:25:36Speaker 13: I went out with my friend and she was a
- 1:25:37Speaker 13: dominatrix and she had this dildo. And so I'm smiling
- 1:25:41Speaker 13: like this, like me in my little.
- 1:25:43Speaker 17: Cowgirl outfit or whatever. And she's holding up this.
- 1:25:45Speaker 13: Dildo like this, so it looks like it's going towards
- 1:25:48Speaker 13: my mouth, but I didn't even notice.
- 1:25:51Speaker 17: I'm sorry about all those comments I left on that photo.
- 1:25:54Speaker 17: On that photo? I didn't know you then. It was
- 1:25:56Speaker 17: just a random picture on Facebook. So that's what I'm
- 1:26:20Speaker 17: going to say.
- 1:26:21Speaker 2: That's why I don't smile.
- 1:26:22Speaker 17: No, because open mouth is dangerous. Teeth showing.
- 1:26:27Speaker 2: I grew up in the Youth Authority, so yeah.
- 1:26:29Speaker 17: What's that?
- 1:26:30Speaker 2: California Youth Authority?
- 1:26:32Speaker 3: No.
- 1:26:32Speaker 17: Turn the mic off.
- 1:26:43Speaker 2: That's amazing.
- 1:26:45Speaker 17: Ed is on my bad list and Randy is on
- 1:26:48Speaker 17: the top of my great list.
- 1:26:50Speaker 1: That's pretty much how it's been for a while.
- 1:26:52Speaker 17: It is pretty awesome, right?
- 1:26:54Speaker 11: I think that Misty gets bigger points for being a
- 1:26:56Speaker 11: squirrel tamer.
- 1:26:58Speaker 2: And Jay for not dying of work every day.
- 1:27:00Speaker 16: Dying of work?
- 1:27:01Speaker 17: Working an industrial machine. A duster machine?
- 1:27:08Speaker 26: Yeah, I build CNC machines for aerospace technology.
- 1:27:12Speaker 17: Wow, that's kind of awesome.
- 1:27:14Speaker 19: It sounds dangerous.
- 1:27:15Speaker 11: It is.
- 1:27:15Speaker 2: I'm a welder.
- 1:27:16Speaker 17: You wear a lot of equipment, right?
- 1:27:18Speaker 19: I wear a lot of equipment, and it's really hot
- 1:27:21Speaker 19: in there. We don't have AC.
- 1:27:24Speaker 20: Wow.
- 1:27:24Speaker 2: So I wear.
- 1:27:26Speaker 11: Long cotton pants, cotton shirt, leather jacket, leather apron, welding hood,
- 1:27:30Speaker 11: and I've got about a 5,000 degree flame in front
- 1:27:32Speaker 11: of my face. And usually it's about 100 degrees outside.
- 1:27:37Speaker 1: Inside the building it could be up to 112.
- 1:27:39Speaker 17: Okay, new hero.
- 1:27:40Speaker 10: Ta-da!
- 1:27:40Speaker 19: I drink a lot more.
- 1:27:42Speaker 2: No, you're still my hero. I mean this.
- 1:27:48Speaker 17: Yeah.
- 1:27:50Speaker 19: We gotta go.
- 1:27:51Speaker 4: We do?
- 1:27:51Speaker 17: Darn it. I have a movie.
- 1:27:54Speaker 15: Gotta go.
- 1:27:55Speaker 19: Sorry, guys. Go.
- 1:28:00Speaker 3: Go.
- 1:28:00Speaker 2: Go to your adoring crowds.
- 1:28:01Speaker 17: This is about it for me right here. So I'm
- 1:28:05Speaker 17: actually walking away from it right now.
- 1:28:06Speaker 3: We go where the love's at.
- 1:28:11Speaker 17: Don't we all?
- 1:28:12Speaker 19: All right.
- 1:28:14Speaker 13: Well, everyone and Jay.
- 1:28:17Speaker 17: And Randy are going to start a.
- 1:28:19Speaker 13: Beef jerky business, and you should order online eventually.
- 1:28:23Speaker 19: Yeah, that was really good.
- 1:28:24Speaker 10: It was really good.
- 1:28:26Speaker 13: Then you can stop welding, and that'll be good.
- 1:28:32Speaker 17: So order.
- 1:28:32Speaker 9: No, I'm serious.
- 1:28:33Speaker 17: It was the best.
- 1:28:34Speaker 13: I go to Trader Joe's, and whenever the lines stay
- 1:28:36Speaker 13: too long, I forget the turkey jerky because.
- 1:28:39Speaker 9: I'm like, I'm hungry.
- 1:28:41Speaker 13: Like, you've been shopping for an hour. So, yeah, this
- 1:28:44Speaker 13: is really good. I like how I stare at the
- 1:28:46Speaker 13: mic like as if... People will see me there like
- 1:28:50Speaker 13: it's a camera. I'm an actor, not a radio person.
- 1:28:53Speaker 13: My voice is probably a little weird. It's a little
- 1:28:57Speaker 13: like in the AM.
- 1:28:58Speaker 17: Good morning, everyone!
- 1:29:00Speaker 2: You guys are really awesome, but you're the worst leavers ever.
- 1:29:03Speaker 17: We are.
- 1:29:03Speaker 8: I don't leave.
- 1:29:05Speaker 17: I don't like leaving. I'm an abandoned magician.
- 1:29:07Speaker 2: You see the escalator?
- 1:29:09Speaker 15: Start walking.
- 1:29:11Speaker 9: Bye, guys!
- 1:29:12Speaker 17: Bless you all!
- 1:29:16Speaker 2: I'm sad Lisa missed out on that. That was kind
- 1:29:20Speaker 2: of magical in a Julie Andrews on meth way.
- 1:29:22Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 1:29:23Speaker 10: Sorry.
- 1:29:25Speaker 1: Sorry, Rose. It's a magical experience being around Rose.
- 1:29:29Speaker 17: She kind of reminds.
- 1:29:30Speaker 3: Me of Demi Lovato without that weird butt chin.
- 1:29:34Speaker 1: And not as much drug use.
- 1:29:36Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 1:29:36Speaker 1: As far as we know.
- 1:29:37Speaker 3: I guess why she's still perky.
- 1:29:39Speaker 15: Who's Demi Lovato?
- 1:29:41Speaker 10: Are you filling in for Rose at this point?
- 1:29:45Speaker 18: For who?
- 1:29:46Speaker 5: What?
- 1:29:47Speaker 31: You're lost even when you're going the right way You
- 1:29:52Speaker 31: mean the world to me even though you might be
- 1:29:56Speaker 31: crazy And you said we wouldn't make it But look
- 1:30:00Speaker 31: how far we've come.
- 1:30:01Speaker 8: So long my heart was breaking But now we're standing
- 1:30:08Speaker 8: strong The.
- 1:30:09Speaker 17: Things you say made me fall.
- 1:30:30Speaker 7: Hi, this is Verdon Wells, and you're listening to Movie Meltdown.
- 1:30:35Speaker 7: And I have one thing to say... I know where
- 1:30:38Speaker 7: you live, you little fuckers. So listen, or I will
- 1:30:41Speaker 7: come and get you, I will rip off your head,
- 1:30:44Speaker 7: and I will piss down your neck.
- 1:30:46Speaker 5: So, remember that.
- 1:30:49Speaker 8: It's part of.
- 1:30:54Speaker 3: Your problem, you know, you haven't seen enough movies.
- 1:31:01Speaker 15: All of life's riddles are answered in the movies. And now,
- 1:31:06Speaker 15: on with the show.
- 1:31:18Speaker 9: Okay, so we're about to round this out.
- 1:31:30Speaker 10: But as we do, we have a special blast from
- 1:31:33Speaker 10: the past appearance. But I know we have a lot
- 1:31:36Speaker 10: of newer listeners who may not have the movie meltdown
- 1:31:39Speaker 10: history to appreciate this moment.
- 1:31:42Speaker 1: So with that, I ask, do you guys remember Roger?
- 1:31:46Speaker 5: Or Joanie?
- 1:31:48Speaker 10: If your answer is no, well, I recruited Roger back
- 1:31:52Speaker 10: when the show first started years ago. And he was
- 1:31:55Speaker 10: a weekly regular through pretty much the whole first year
- 1:31:57Speaker 10: and a half or more of the show.
- 1:32:00Speaker 1: Why haven't you heard him lately, you ask?
- 1:32:02Speaker 22: Truthfully, I don't know.
- 1:32:03Speaker 10: One day we were going to record and Roger and
- 1:32:06Speaker 10: his newly recruited girlfriend Joanie were going to sit in
- 1:32:09Speaker 10: and supposed to be there for the episode. Well, they
- 1:32:12Speaker 10: just didn't show. tried to call, no word from them,
- 1:32:16Speaker 10: messaged them, nothing. So who knows what happened that day. Weird,
- 1:32:20Speaker 10: but that had happened a couple times before, so we
- 1:32:22Speaker 10: just assumed it was another one.
- 1:32:23Speaker 1: Of those incidents.
- 1:32:25Speaker 10: So next week rolls around, I leave a message when
- 1:32:28Speaker 10: we're recording, it comes about, no Roger or Joanie. So basically,
- 1:32:33Speaker 10: that was it.
- 1:32:35Speaker 9: They just disappeared.
- 1:32:37Speaker 10: Barring maybe a random message on Facebook once or twice,
- 1:32:40Speaker 10: they just went completely M.I.A., That was over a year
- 1:32:45Speaker 10: and a half ago.
- 1:32:46Speaker 1: Just disappeared.
- 1:32:48Speaker 10: So the fact that we happened to be there and
- 1:32:51Speaker 10: were recording right when they walked by, I thought was
- 1:32:54Speaker 10: sort of a serendipitous thing that we should share with
- 1:32:57Speaker 10: you guys. So when you're here, you are alive.
- 1:33:00Speaker 9: It's no joke.
- 1:33:02Speaker 10: This is the first time we've come in contact with
- 1:33:04Speaker 10: them in over a year and a half. So with that,
- 1:33:07Speaker 10: I bring you the resurgence of Roger and Joey.
- 1:33:14Speaker 30: Disappear.
- 1:33:15Speaker 1: Disappear.
- 1:33:17Speaker 8: Disappear.
- 1:33:19Speaker 27: Disappear.
- 1:33:22Speaker 8: Disappear.
- 1:33:26Speaker 2: The effect went to pot.
- 1:33:28Speaker 15: Yeah, it's steampunk Boba Fett.
- 1:33:33Speaker 1: It happens at these places.
- 1:33:34Speaker 3: There's a steampunk chick here with her fucking flip-flops. Again,
- 1:33:39Speaker 3: no commitment.
- 1:33:40Speaker 15: Yeah, if you're going to do it, go all the way.
- 1:33:42Speaker 2: Don't fucking half-ass on shit.
- 1:33:44Speaker 5: Come on.
- 1:33:45Speaker 3: Don't have your fucking vinyl corset, your mini skirt, your
- 1:33:48Speaker 3: fucking fancy-ass feather hat, and your fucking flip-flops.
- 1:33:53Speaker 10: It's a running theme is to point out the shortcomings
- 1:33:57Speaker 10: of the costumes in every.
- 1:33:58Speaker 1: One of these.
- 1:33:59Speaker 3: I like doing it. Point out the shortcomings of others.
- 1:34:02Speaker 1: Yes, you do.
- 1:34:03Speaker 2: She's working a car wash with that outfit, though.
- 1:34:05Speaker 19: Safely.
- 1:34:06Speaker 1: At least me.
- 1:34:07Speaker 3: To pull this fucking belt up. But other than that,
- 1:34:10Speaker 3: you know. See, here's the tranny.
- 1:34:13Speaker 1: I saw him earlier. He looks pretty damn good, actually.
- 1:34:17Speaker 15: I haven't seen too many corset mom jean combinations today.
- 1:34:22Speaker 2: I saw a couple.
- 1:34:23Speaker 1: That's a magic combination. Okay, yeah.
- 1:34:26Speaker 17: Air and buns.
- 1:34:27Speaker 2: The nerdy glasses.
- 1:34:29Speaker 23: You know.
- 1:34:30Speaker 19: Not really the hot librarian. Or the.
- 1:34:35Speaker 2: Although I did see the Star Trek corset.
- 1:34:37Speaker 8: That was.
- 1:34:38Speaker 2: That was impressive. That was something I have yet to see.
- 1:34:43Speaker 1: How exactly is it defined as Star Trek?
- 1:34:47Speaker 2: Uh, slutty Star Trek.
- 1:34:48Speaker 1: Oh, okay. Well, they're slutty everything.
- 1:34:50Speaker 3: I mean, we.
- 1:34:52Speaker 1: What was our slutty outfit earlier?
- 1:34:53Speaker 17: Which one?
- 1:34:55Speaker 9: Which one?
- 1:34:56Speaker 1: Yeah, but what was the one we called?
- 1:34:57Speaker 17: Slutty Chucky?
- 1:34:58Speaker 22: Yeah, Slutty Chucky.
- 1:34:59Speaker 2: See, I didn't get to see Slutty Chucky. I saw
- 1:35:03Speaker 2: Slutty Disco Witch. No, Disco Witch was pretty fun.
- 1:35:07Speaker 1: And I saw Slutty Velma.
- 1:35:09Speaker 2: And is that a slutty Dorothy?
- 1:35:10Speaker 1: I think so. Hell yeah, it's a slutty Dorothy.
- 1:35:13Speaker 8: All right.
- 1:35:13Speaker 3: And, you know, I went to Harbor Freight, and I
- 1:35:16Speaker 3: picked up one of those actual wrenches that are that
- 1:35:18Speaker 3: fucking heavy, and I guarantee you it weighs more than
- 1:35:19Speaker 3: that girl does.
- 1:35:21Speaker 1: Well, that's a foam rubber wrench.
- 1:35:22Speaker 21: I know it is.
- 1:35:23Speaker 3: I know shit, Sherlock. I'm just saying, I went there,
- 1:35:26Speaker 3: and the actual thing weighed more than her.
- 1:35:27Speaker 2: Oh, yeah, that's pretty fucking heavy.
- 1:35:31Speaker 1: And she's like 14 pounds.
- 1:35:32Speaker 17: Yeah.
- 1:35:34Speaker 2: A lot of Spider-Men here.
- 1:35:38Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 1:35:39Speaker 1: Mohawk Spider-Man.
- 1:35:40Speaker 2: It's a little odd seeing guys in tights. I just want.
- 1:35:46Speaker 11: If you're going to commit a crime around me, I'm
- 1:35:48Speaker 11: going to support you if some guy in tights runs
- 1:35:51Speaker 11: up to stop it.
- 1:35:52Speaker 2: I just want you to know that.
- 1:35:54Speaker 11: Because they're not doing any great service to society with
- 1:35:57Speaker 11: their tiny packages on display.
- 1:36:00Speaker 10: You know so they're balancing things out by fighting crime yeah.
- 1:36:03Speaker 2: If you're gonna be a crime fighter stuff that shit
- 1:36:06Speaker 2: you know.
- 1:36:06Speaker 3: Green Lantern we saw up in Chicago.
- 1:36:09Speaker 10: Oh that was all kinds of package nobody needed to
- 1:36:12Speaker 10: see that.
- 1:36:12Speaker 3: Yeah it was very well endowed yeah.
- 1:36:16Speaker 10: And standing next to children yeah please put that away
- 1:36:20Speaker 10: yeah point that thing somewhere else.
- 1:36:23Speaker 11: Did you give a shout out to Scooter and Rose's
- 1:36:25Speaker 11: film that's screening here.
- 1:36:30Speaker 10: It'll be too late for anybody to see it here.
- 1:36:33Speaker 3: Right.
- 1:36:33Speaker 10: But, in general, I would think, yeah, if you, you know,
- 1:36:37Speaker 10: you should have already listened to their episode. But, if not,
- 1:36:40Speaker 10: go find It's in the Blood. I believe there's a
- 1:36:44Speaker 10: website that corresponds with it. It has Lance Hendrickson.
- 1:36:47Speaker 1: It's pretty awesome. And, you know, Rose, for God's sake.
- 1:36:51Speaker 1: And Sean, who's awesome. It's scooter-directed, so it's definitely, yeah,
- 1:36:56Speaker 1: go find.
- 1:36:58Speaker 11: It.
- 1:36:59Speaker 8: Wow.
- 1:37:00Speaker 2: You are alive.
- 1:37:01Speaker 15: I'm sure that I might see you guys today.
- 1:37:05Speaker 1: This is a momentous occasion we've captured here. Do you
- 1:37:09Speaker 1: want to reintroduce yourself?
- 1:37:12Speaker 17: Hi, I'm Jodi.
- 1:37:13Speaker 15: This is long-lost Roger.
- 1:37:14Speaker 17: And I need to wave again.
- 1:37:16Speaker 1: And still waving at the mic. That's good to know.
- 1:37:18Speaker 15: Yeah, how's it going?
- 1:37:20Speaker 1: It's going. This would be Randy, by the way.
- 1:37:24Speaker 9: Hi.
- 1:37:25Speaker 19: Nice to meet you, Randy.
- 1:37:27Speaker 15: Nice to meet you.
- 1:37:28Speaker 18: Tony.
- 1:37:28Speaker 29: Nice to meet you.
- 1:37:31Speaker 3: Oh, wow.
- 1:37:31Speaker 19: How's it going?
- 1:37:33Speaker 1: It's an epic return to the show.
- 1:37:35Speaker 15: Good to you, good to you. Are you all here
- 1:37:37Speaker 15: the whole weekend?
- 1:37:38Speaker 1: Yeah, we've got the table. We're loitering around all weekend.
- 1:37:43Speaker 3: I just bumped into St.
- 1:37:45Speaker 17: Haig when he came out of the bathroom. I was like,
- 1:37:47Speaker 17: I want to see St. Haig, so I was waiting
- 1:37:48Speaker 17: by his booth and he wasn't there.
- 1:37:50Speaker 15: So I was like, you know what?
- 1:37:52Speaker 17: I want a Rice Krispie treat.
- 1:37:54Speaker 11: So I went up and was waiting in line for
- 1:37:56Speaker 11: a Rice Krispie treat, which was right in front of
- 1:37:57Speaker 11: the bathroom.
- 1:37:58Speaker 17: And he comes out and I turn around and I
- 1:37:59Speaker 17: was like, why?
- 1:38:01Speaker 9: He's like, St.
- 1:38:01Speaker 15: Haig smiled at me.
- 1:38:02Speaker 2: He smiled at me.
- 1:38:03Speaker 17: And then walked away.
- 1:38:05Speaker 1: I was like, boom.
- 1:38:06Speaker 17: Saints gave me the.
- 1:38:09Speaker 3: I'm glad the.
- 1:38:13Speaker 10: Rice Krispie Treat came into play, because otherwise I was like,
- 1:38:19Speaker 10: why are you going in the men's room?
- 1:38:23Speaker 1: I'm lucky for Sid Haig. Get out of my way.
- 1:38:25Speaker 17: I really hope Sid Haig washes hands.
- 1:38:28Speaker 3: If you were by the bathroom, I'm surprised you didn't
- 1:38:30Speaker 3: see Norman Reedus because he's.
- 1:38:31Speaker 19: Gone by like a bajillion guys.
- 1:38:32Speaker 15: He's got a small bladder.
- 1:38:34Speaker 3: We figured he had irritable bowel syndrome.
- 1:38:36Speaker 17: Maybe he had to poop a lot.
- 1:38:37Speaker 3: So between him and Shaw Patrick Flannery, they've just been.
- 1:38:40Speaker 15: Running back and forth all day. Yeah, Shaw Patrick Flannery's
- 1:38:46Speaker 15: like the bodyguard.
- 1:38:47Speaker 9: Nice.
- 1:38:47Speaker 15: Do they hold the pool? Or do they.
- 1:38:49Speaker 2: Have to deny the holdage? I can cover the pool.
- 1:38:52Speaker 19: No, what they do is.
- 1:38:53Speaker 15: They block off the urinals on both sides.
- 1:38:55Speaker 1: Oh, nice.
- 1:38:56Speaker 15: So nobody can get to the uncomfortable spot.
- 1:38:59Speaker 1: You wait until Norman goes.
- 1:39:02Speaker 1: Should we wave it down to Sid again?
- 1:39:04Speaker 15: No, it's, uh, over on the other end.
- 1:39:06Speaker 3: We figured if Sid was out there and you all
- 1:39:07Speaker 3: were trying to get in.
- 1:39:08Speaker 15: Ooh, you get to watch all the freaks get in.
- 1:39:11Speaker 9: Oh, no!
- 1:39:11Speaker 15: They're not freaks.
- 1:39:12Speaker 2: Special, special people.
- 1:39:15Speaker 15: Getting his pictures.
- 1:39:18Speaker 1: Hadn't he died yet?
- 1:39:19Speaker 15: This shows the age gap. Her younger brother has no
- 1:39:22Speaker 15: idea who Sid Haig is, which isn't that far of
- 1:39:24Speaker 15: a stretch, mind you.
- 1:39:26Speaker 6: But.
- 1:39:27Speaker 15: When you're here, you need to know these things.
- 1:39:29Speaker 20: Yeah.
- 1:39:29Speaker 15: Otherwise, you could be pummeled to death by us.
- 1:39:32Speaker 3: We talked to a girl who had never even heard
- 1:39:34Speaker 3: of boondock saints.
- 1:39:36Speaker 1: Or John Carpenter.
- 1:39:37Speaker 9: Or John Carpenter.
- 1:39:38Speaker 3: She's like, who is John Carpenter?
- 1:39:40Speaker 17: Why was he somebody's babysitter?
- 1:39:44Speaker 15: She was adorable.
- 1:39:46Speaker 1: Luckily, we love her otherwise.
- 1:39:48Speaker 9: Yeah, yeah.
- 1:39:49Speaker 2: Is there a reason why you're here?
- 1:39:51Speaker 1: She's adorable.
- 1:39:52Speaker 17: She's an actress.
- 1:39:53Speaker 1: She's in the movie.
- 1:39:54Speaker 3: But apparently she's never watched movies.
- 1:39:55Speaker 15: Oh, she's one of the ones that acts in movies
- 1:39:57Speaker 15: but never watches a movie that they act in.
- 1:39:59Speaker 9: She is adorable.
- 1:39:59Speaker 3: She's like a Disney princess.
- 1:40:00Speaker 19: I'm pretty sure, like.
- 1:40:02Speaker 3: birds dress her in the morning.
- 1:40:04Speaker 1: We're trying to corrupt her. We're trying to give her
- 1:40:06Speaker 1: the worst movies ever to watch and try to bring
- 1:40:08Speaker 1: her back to her level.
- 1:40:09Speaker 15: To kind of shatter that innocence.
- 1:40:11Speaker 1: Yeah, you need to just kind of break through a
- 1:40:13Speaker 1: little bit.
- 1:40:14Speaker 15: It kind of makes me mad when people hold on
- 1:40:15Speaker 15: to that a lot, lot longer than I did.
- 1:40:18Speaker 12: Yeah.
- 1:40:18Speaker 15: Which wasn't that.
- 1:40:19Speaker 3: Long at all.
- 1:40:19Speaker 1: It's ruined.
- 1:40:20Speaker 15: It's like, how are you still living in this day
- 1:40:22Speaker 15: and age? Do you have any screen interviews with anybody here?
- 1:40:27Speaker 15: that you had there? We did.
- 1:40:29Speaker 1: We did talk to the Vernon Wells, the guy from
- 1:40:33Speaker 1: Road Warrior.
- 1:40:33Speaker 15: Yeah, awesome.
- 1:40:34Speaker 1: He was pretty awesome. He was entertaining.
- 1:40:38Speaker 15: I always feel bad kind of when you go down
- 1:40:40Speaker 15: the aisles of the kid who was the child in
- 1:40:44Speaker 15: child's play. What about poor Luke.
- 1:40:46Speaker 17: Perry sitting over there by his lawn?
- 1:40:48Speaker 15: Nobody's coming around. You just want to stand by them.
- 1:40:52Speaker 15: You just want to be there with them so they
- 1:40:54Speaker 15: don't feel so alone. Because I think that that would
- 1:40:56Speaker 15: be kind of a shot to their ego, at least
- 1:40:58Speaker 15: a little bit, when you're here at a con and
- 1:41:00Speaker 15: nobody knows or cares who you are.
- 1:41:02Speaker 1: You just have to sit at the table with them.
- 1:41:04Speaker 15: It might be better outside with a cup.
- 1:41:06Speaker 2: It's a hop, skip, and a jump from being.
- 1:41:09Speaker 11: And ignored at your table the sucking dick behind the dumpster.
- 1:41:12Speaker 15: Exactly. It's just a small choice, actually.
- 1:41:15Speaker 1: It's just a little choice. It's a lifestyle choice we
- 1:41:18Speaker 1: all make.
- 1:41:19Speaker 15: We just came from a small little steampunk venue where
- 1:41:24Speaker 15: they sell glasses and pouches. And we both fell in
- 1:41:27Speaker 15: love with a chick who's completely bald except for a
- 1:41:29Speaker 15: big long strand of hair.
- 1:41:31Speaker 1: I know.
- 1:41:31Speaker 3: And we're like, we are.
- 1:41:32Speaker 15: In love with her. It's like, baby, just go back
- 1:41:34Speaker 15: and tell them we're both in love with her and
- 1:41:35Speaker 15: run off laughing.
- 1:41:36Speaker 19: Like, giggling at her.
- 1:41:38Speaker 11: Well, I think I need to run off because they're
- 1:41:41Speaker 11: going to close this place in like 30 minutes or less,
- 1:41:44Speaker 11: and I probably have to see if there's something I'm
- 1:41:45Speaker 11: actually going to waste money on.
- 1:41:47Speaker 5: Nice.
- 1:41:48Speaker 1: So you can sign off.
- 1:41:50Speaker 2: Signing off? Fuck, I don't know.
- 1:41:54Speaker 1: There goes Randy. All right.
- 1:41:56Speaker 12: Sir.
- 1:41:56Speaker 19: Good to meet you.
- 1:41:57Speaker 15: I'll be back. Just the people watching right here, I
- 1:42:02Speaker 15: think you can have at least a 12-hour show.
- 1:42:05Speaker 1: I think we're midway into it right now.
- 1:42:08Speaker 15: And there's probably so much gold, you can't or don't.
- 1:42:10Speaker 2: Want to cut out anything.
- 1:42:11Speaker 15: But you need the smell of it. You need the
- 1:42:15Speaker 15: smell-o-meter so that people can really, as the day progresses,
- 1:42:18Speaker 15: you get the sense of, Yes.
- 1:42:22Speaker 1: You don't need that.
- 1:42:23Speaker 15: No, you really don't.
- 1:42:25Speaker 10: You lose without the visual sometimes. You really experience the horror,
- 1:42:29Speaker 10: you know.
- 1:42:30Speaker 15: Like the big dude with the pirate do-rag wearing a
- 1:42:33Speaker 15: bloody dress. You just don't get that. Even if you
- 1:42:37Speaker 15: say it, you can't visualize it as beautifully as it's
- 1:42:40Speaker 15: being represented right here.
- 1:42:41Speaker 1: In front of our eyes. It's not the same. It's
- 1:42:42Speaker 1: not the same.
- 1:42:44Speaker 2: Look, this guy's a cop.
- 1:42:44Speaker 3: See, if he had a hat, he could be Rick
- 1:42:48Speaker 3: Grimes from Walking Dead.
- 1:42:50Speaker 13: There you go.
- 1:42:50Speaker 10: See, if I was an on-duty cop, I would wear
- 1:42:52Speaker 10: the hat and just go, Rick Grimes, Walking Dead.
- 1:42:55Speaker 1: Walking Dead. Just move along.
- 1:42:59Speaker 15: And just muscle people all the time. What do you
- 1:43:05Speaker 15: want to go next?
- 1:43:06Speaker 17: I don't know. I got to see Norman Reedus.
- 1:43:10Speaker 15: Did you peek in the door?
- 1:43:11Speaker 17: He's lost a lot of weight.
- 1:43:15Speaker 3: Really?
- 1:43:16Speaker 15: Since The Walking Dead?
- 1:43:17Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 1:43:17Speaker 15: From the last time we saw him?
- 1:43:24Speaker 19: The last time we saw him.
- 1:43:25Speaker 14: Yeah.
- 1:43:26Speaker 3: He's dropped a lot of weight.
- 1:43:27Speaker 9: He's looking.
- 1:43:28Speaker 3: Sean Patrick Flannery's lost.
- 1:43:29Speaker 17: A lot of weight, too.
- 1:43:30Speaker 3: Really?
- 1:43:30Speaker 12: Yeah.
- 1:43:30Speaker 5: Both of them.
- 1:43:32Speaker 1: They both look good.
- 1:43:32Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 1:43:33Speaker 15: His face still doesn't move, though. It's still made of wood.
- 1:43:36Speaker 3: I think it's more like a Play-Doh or like a
- 1:43:39Speaker 3: Silly Putty.
- 1:43:40Speaker 1: Silly Putty, maybe.
- 1:43:42Speaker 3: I want to put a newspaper across it and see
- 1:43:43Speaker 3: if it, like, just stays on.
- 1:43:45Speaker 17: I want to push it and see if it stays
- 1:43:47Speaker 17: that way.
- 1:43:47Speaker 15: Okay, well, moving right down, I think we're off. We're
- 1:43:49Speaker 15: going to continue... perusing and enjoying the smells. The fine
- 1:43:53Speaker 15: bouquet that there is here.
- 1:43:54Speaker 12: Oh, yes.
- 1:43:55Speaker 17: The nice smell.
- 1:43:58Speaker 15: So you all have a good rest of the show
- 1:43:59Speaker 15: and weekend.
- 1:44:00Speaker 1: Alright, we're rounding it out with Roger and Joni here.
- 1:44:03Speaker 17: We talked about watching Shark Tank the other day.
- 1:44:06Speaker 1: Because it's a classic. Reliving the wonder of Sharknado.
- 1:44:10Speaker 15: If I could give you a rundown on all the
- 1:44:12Speaker 15: movies we've watched recently, it'd be insane. But we went,
- 1:44:14Speaker 15: this is Joni's choice, we went on an 80s sci-fi
- 1:44:19Speaker 15: movie marathon as far as Conan, Beastmaster, Yor, Ator, Kor.
- 1:44:24Speaker 17: And then I went to.
- 1:44:26Speaker 1: You're in the fantasy realm now.
- 1:44:28Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 1:44:28Speaker 20: Ritsonja.
- 1:44:29Speaker 15: Ritsonja, which is basically.
- 1:44:31Speaker 2: Sonja, really?
- 1:44:31Speaker 1: Sonja.
- 1:44:32Speaker 15: It's freaking Conan 2.
- 1:44:33Speaker 1: Yeah, it's awesome.
- 1:44:34Speaker 2: Have a good one.
- 1:44:37Speaker 17: All right.
- 1:44:37Speaker 15: Good to see you guys today.
- 1:44:39Speaker 1: Good to see you guys live.
- 1:44:41Speaker 15: Good to see you live.
- 1:44:44Speaker 10: I think with that, we better round it out. The
- 1:44:46Speaker 10: return of Roger and Joni. I don't know what to
- 1:44:48Speaker 10: do with that. Otherwise, that about does it. We will
- 1:44:53Speaker 10: return next week.
- 1:44:53Speaker 1: Same geek time, same geek feed. Thanks for listening.
- 1:44:56Speaker 10: Bye.
- 1:44:57Speaker 1: Bye. Bye.
- 1:44:59Speaker 29: I'm so sorry.
- 1:45:00Speaker 17: Please forgive me.
- 1:45:02Speaker 29: Who do I pray to to straighten out this problem?
- 1:45:06Speaker 1: Straighten out this problem. Straighten out my mind.
- 1:45:10Speaker 29: Straighten out this crooked tongue.
- 1:45:13Speaker 27: My mind is wandered.
- 1:45:15Speaker 29: From the straight and narrow.
