- 0:00Speaker 1: The Force will be with you always.
- 0:18Speaker 2: Hey everyone, Welcome back to another episode of Star Wars Alliance.
- 0:22Speaker 2: Your home on geek Open Alliance podcast Network for any
- 0:26Speaker 2: and all things Star Wars. I'm your host is always
- 0:29Speaker 2: Katie and with me, as per the usual, it is Clay. Clay,
- 0:33Speaker 2: how are you doing today?
- 0:35Speaker 3: I am doing pretty good considering the fact that, uh,
- 0:42Speaker 3: today for work was kind of crap like Wednesdays. I
- 0:48Speaker 3: love Wednesdays because it's normally like the laid back day. Yeah,
- 0:53Speaker 3: I can, you know, just do some work while I'm
- 0:56Speaker 3: like either watching a recap of something that we are
- 1:01Speaker 3: covering or listening to an audiobook or stuff like that.
- 1:06Speaker 3: And today was just way too hectic to do anything
- 1:11Speaker 3: like that. I was actually trying to put Skeleton Crew
- 1:14Speaker 3: on while I was working today. Thankfully I got a
- 1:18Speaker 3: second watch through right before we started recording tonight. But
- 1:24Speaker 3: it was kind of hectic today and so I'm a
- 1:26Speaker 3: little frustrated at that. But I'm home. I'm ready to Yeah,
- 1:32Speaker 3: I'm ready to talk Skeleton Crew. But what about you?
- 1:37Speaker 2: Yes, so we're late today, guys, if you're watching live,
- 1:40Speaker 2: I do apologize, but Maria had an allergic reaction, so
- 1:46Speaker 2: Matt had to go get children's bendrill because we did
- 1:52Speaker 2: not actually get that. We have literally every other medication
- 1:54Speaker 2: out of the sun except pin and drill, So that
- 1:59Speaker 2: was what was needed, and everything so little stressed after that,
- 2:05Speaker 2: you know, reading the anxiety high.
- 2:08Speaker 3: But you know, I was terrified for you because well,
- 2:14Speaker 3: I have never dealt with an allergic reaction.
- 2:18Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 2:18Speaker 3: Abby has dealt with an allergic reaction with the people
- 2:23Speaker 3: that she's worked with before, because she's a nanny and
- 2:25Speaker 3: she's just dealt with that. And so like every single
- 2:30Speaker 3: time Amberln breaks out in some sort of small rash
- 2:36Speaker 3: because of something new that she tries, I'm like, oh
- 2:39Speaker 3: my gosh, she's gonna die, Like, like my brain goes
- 2:43Speaker 3: to the worst, and so I'm always freaking out. I
- 2:45Speaker 3: was like, it's cool, it's just a contact rash, it's
- 2:48Speaker 3: nothing too serious. Just you know, let's take it away
- 2:51Speaker 3: from her, let it settle down. If we need to
- 2:53Speaker 3: give her a benajol, you know, blah blah blah. But
- 2:55Speaker 3: I'm always freaking out because I mean the worst of
- 2:59Speaker 3: the worse. Like if anybody has freaking seen uh oh crap,
- 3:05Speaker 3: what is the movie? Uh Macaulay Culkin, Uh oh you
- 3:13Speaker 3: haven't seen the movie. I can't even spoil it for you.
- 3:16Speaker 3: Oh no, uh, it's it's it's a movie that is
- 3:21Speaker 3: actually uh uh, like I genuinely want you to watch.
- 3:26Speaker 3: So I'm gonna have to find the title. But anybody
- 3:29Speaker 3: knows where I was going with that. It's a terrifying thing.
- 3:34Speaker 3: It's a terrifying thing. Allergic reactions and stuff like that,
- 3:37Speaker 3: absolutely terrifying. So when you told me that, I was like, like,
- 3:42Speaker 3: I paused the Skeleton Crew for a while, and I
- 3:45Speaker 3: was just kind of sitting here, like, all right, just
- 3:48Speaker 3: gonna wait to see if there's anything.
- 3:49Speaker 2: That's sing the text. I was like, because I called
- 3:53Speaker 2: my neighbor and she actually had Ben Indrel, so we
- 3:55Speaker 2: got Ben and Drill and her pretty quickly. That's but
- 3:59Speaker 2: Matt was still out getting Venturl and everything, so I
- 4:04Speaker 2: was kind of just like keeping her entertained. But it
- 4:07Speaker 2: also happened in the middle of dinner, so I was
- 4:09Speaker 2: finishing dinner at the same time, and like, I also
- 4:12Speaker 2: had Skeleton Crew on trying to like get a second
- 4:15Speaker 2: watching and stuff. So I wasn't ever really anxious about
- 4:19Speaker 2: the allergic reaction. I think it's because my nephew has
- 4:24Speaker 2: a lot, had a lot of allergic reactions, and so
- 4:29Speaker 2: I was kind of like prepared, like he couldn't he
- 4:32Speaker 2: couldn't get a flu shot because he's allergic to eggs,
- 4:36Speaker 2: so whole thing. But we're fine, everything's fine. So yeah,
- 4:48Speaker 2: I'm ready to talk about Skeleton Crew. I did not
- 4:50Speaker 2: get a full second watching. I am missing like the
- 4:54Speaker 2: last ten minutes of episode too.
- 4:57Speaker 3: But before that, before we jump into that, we wanted
- 5:02Speaker 3: to wait until the next show because you said last week,
- 5:09Speaker 3: we were like, hey, we have two reviews going on.
- 5:12Speaker 3: Do we really want to talk about this. You're like, no,
- 5:14Speaker 3: I think it's a little ridiculous and silly, so we'll
- 5:16Speaker 3: push it. Oh, yes, So I have the quote here.
- 5:22Speaker 2: Yes, our one piece of news.
- 5:24Speaker 3: Yes, or one piece of news, because literally nothing else
- 5:27Speaker 3: came out from last week to this week in regards
- 5:31Speaker 3: to Star Wars information. We have a quote from director Dune,
- 5:41Speaker 3: director Denny how do you how do you pronounce his.
- 5:47Speaker 2: Last name Villin? That's how I would pronounce it. I
- 5:51Speaker 2: don't think that's correct because I called him Dennis for
- 5:55Speaker 2: the longest time, and I did that on Slice of
- 5:58Speaker 2: Film with Mark and Mark was like, cute. He did
- 6:03Speaker 2: so I have no idea.
- 6:08Speaker 3: I've heard I've heard the last name several different times,
- 6:12Speaker 3: but I'll just say because everybody knows done, because it's
- 6:16Speaker 3: been like the crazy thing for the past two years.
- 6:21Speaker 3: He had this to say in regards to Star Wars
- 6:26Speaker 3: and the possibility of directing it, and he says, I
- 6:31Speaker 3: adore Star Wars. The problem is that it all derailed
- 6:36Speaker 3: in nineteen eighty three with the return of the Jedi.
- 6:42Speaker 3: We were so angry still today the Ewoks. It turned
- 6:46Speaker 3: out to be a comedy for kids, So I'm not
- 6:50Speaker 3: dreaming to do a Star Wars, Katie.
- 6:54Speaker 2: You know what George Lucas would have to say for that,
- 6:57Speaker 2: I made Star Wars for kids.
- 7:00Speaker 3: I wish I need to find the actual interview with
- 7:04Speaker 3: Fredy Prince Junior and splice it just so that way
- 7:08Speaker 3: we can play the clip every single time we bring
- 7:11Speaker 3: this up, guys, and I do it all the time.
- 7:15Speaker 3: I have a picture of Freddy Prince Junior from the
- 7:19Speaker 3: interview saved on my phone so I could just post
- 7:22Speaker 3: it whenever these conversations come up. Because the trilogy was
- 7:28Speaker 3: made for kids, the prequel was made for a different
- 7:34Speaker 3: set of kids, and the sequel series trilogy was made
- 7:41Speaker 3: for kids. Star Wars is made for kids. But when
- 7:51Speaker 3: you read this quote without any context to it, you
- 7:56Speaker 3: immediately stopped when he says, the problem is that it
- 8:01Speaker 3: all derailed. Before you even read the next two lines
- 8:05Speaker 3: or two words, you're like, Okay, he's gonna have a
- 8:08Speaker 3: hot He's gonna have a hot take on either the
- 8:12Speaker 3: Phantom Menace or the Last Jedi. Like what you know,
- 8:18Speaker 3: he's gonna be one of these people that for some
- 8:20Speaker 3: reason doesn't like Rogue one. Like, what's what is it
- 8:23Speaker 3: all about?
- 8:24Speaker 2: It?
- 8:24Speaker 3: Is it another dig at Solo No. Nineteen eighty Three's
- 8:30Speaker 3: the Return of the Jedi? Guys, When you look at
- 8:37Speaker 3: people's top five Star Wars films, Return of the Jedi
- 8:47Speaker 3: is old ways in the top five, and it it
- 8:56Speaker 3: it literally jumps around on everybody's list. It could be
- 8:59Speaker 3: number on, it could be number two, it could be
- 9:01Speaker 3: number three, it could be number four, and it could
- 9:03Speaker 3: be number five. That's how widely loved the original trilogy
- 9:08Speaker 3: is because all three of them can like interchange in
- 9:14Speaker 3: people's top tens, top fives. But Return of the Jedi,
- 9:19Speaker 3: out of all the movies that you could have chosen.
- 9:23Speaker 2: And the Ewoks are so cute.
- 9:27Speaker 3: Not only that, not only that, but when you put
- 9:29Speaker 3: the context of some of the later things we just
- 9:35Speaker 3: I'd say just but it was technically last year when
- 9:38Speaker 3: we talked about the or was it the beginning of
- 9:41Speaker 3: this year? Oh my gosh. The From a certain point
- 9:44Speaker 3: of view return of the Jedi. We get more context
- 9:49Speaker 3: with the Ewoks, which gives them more depth than just
- 9:54Speaker 3: being the silly little teddy bears that are throwing rocks
- 9:58Speaker 3: at people. Like, yeah, it's you can't say these things
- 10:03Speaker 3: about Star Wars especially We're gonna talk about Skeleton Crew
- 10:09Speaker 3: today and like, you see the things that are happening
- 10:13Speaker 3: in there, and it's just like I, by the way,
- 10:17Speaker 3: I have some opinions about these two episodes that kind
- 10:19Speaker 3: of contradict what the people had said before the first
- 10:25Speaker 3: two episodes even aired. They are positive, but I have
- 10:29Speaker 3: some things to say. But yeah, like I I'm gonna
- 10:36Speaker 3: tell this to everyone right now. And you could call
- 10:40Speaker 3: me a hipster, you can call me a hater. I
- 10:43Speaker 3: don't care what you have to say. Dune in the
- 10:50Speaker 3: eighties or the Dune from the eighties or whatever bored
- 10:56Speaker 3: me so much when I saw all the sand and
- 11:01Speaker 3: in the trailer for this series. I said no, no,
- 11:10Speaker 3: And I have yet to watch either Dune movie. Because
- 11:17Speaker 3: Katie might disagree with me on this one, I can
- 11:20Speaker 3: almost guarantee with my tastes and films, I am so
- 11:26Speaker 3: glad that I put the money and effort into watching
- 11:31Speaker 3: the Elvis movie rather than watching Doom. Like that's that's
- 11:37Speaker 3: what I have to say about it. And again I
- 11:41Speaker 3: haven't even watched Arrival. There's a lot of movies I
- 11:45Speaker 3: don't think that I have seen that are from this director.
- 11:50Speaker 3: M hm, So.
- 11:54Speaker 4: Say what you will, but like and and also I'm
- 12:00Speaker 4: to say this also because it's a little contradicting to
- 12:03Speaker 4: what I'm gonna say after this, but like anybody and
- 12:07Speaker 4: everybody can have an opinion.
- 12:09Speaker 3: On their film tastes, that's yeh okay. But like the
- 12:18Speaker 3: balls that he and people like uh uh freaking oh
- 12:27Speaker 3: shoot Dark Knight Trilogy Nolan, Yeah, like the balls that
- 12:38Speaker 3: these guys have to take direct hits towards specific franchises
- 12:45Speaker 3: and ips, and.
- 12:46Speaker 2: Like which one did Nolan do? Did he do? Star
- 12:49Speaker 2: Wars two?
- 12:51Speaker 3: Nolan has taken a crack at like uh Star Wars
- 12:56Speaker 3: at uh MCU, like at Superman, like all of these
- 13:02Speaker 3: different like all of these different things, and it's very silly.
- 13:07Speaker 3: It's these people have like, oh, I'm gonna raise my
- 13:10Speaker 3: nose at you type of energy, and I'm just like,
- 13:14Speaker 3: you made a movie about worms, dude, Like chill out,
- 13:22Speaker 3: you're you're you're Like that's all I see whenever I
- 13:25Speaker 3: think of Dune.
- 13:26Speaker 2: Well in Star Wars does have Dune influences. So it's like,
- 13:30Speaker 2: I don't know if I'd want to see a Dennyse
- 13:33Speaker 2: Star Wars movie, because I think we know what we
- 13:37Speaker 2: would get because we've seen.
- 13:39Speaker 3: Dune, yes exactly, just a whole bunch of scarl like
- 13:43Speaker 3: pits just everywhere, and that sounds kind of boring. So
- 13:49Speaker 3: I'm gonna say no either way. And and and for me,
- 14:00Speaker 3: I will say this, he should go the route if
- 14:05Speaker 3: he was ever offered and actually considered it, if he
- 14:08Speaker 3: doesn't like the whole kid friendly thing, look at rug One,
- 14:14Speaker 3: look at and or you could still do the adult themes,
- 14:18Speaker 3: the serious stories with yep, a little bit of fun,
- 14:22Speaker 3: you know, the droids, the adult humor, whatever it may be.
- 14:27Speaker 3: So I wouldn't say, like for those directors out there
- 14:33Speaker 3: who happen to be listening to these episodes of Star
- 14:36Speaker 3: Wars Alliance. Never say never, just say eh, I'll think
- 14:40Speaker 3: about it, be nice about it. For I think that's
- 14:43Speaker 3: that's the bottom line for me, is just like like,
- 14:47Speaker 3: don't be a dick, like I think it's like a
- 14:52Speaker 3: rare thing for people to do nowadays towards Star Wars.
- 14:58Speaker 2: Yeah, that just but don't understand.
- 15:03Speaker 3: Katie, do you have any more thoughts on this in particular?
- 15:09Speaker 2: Not really. It's like I had honestly forgotten about it,
- 15:12Speaker 2: like like you said, so it was like, Okay, this
- 15:17Speaker 2: is your this is stupid, Like why are you taking
- 15:20Speaker 2: shut at Star Wars Like that's about it.
- 15:24Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 15:26Speaker 2: Also because I've been anxious, I am crocheting y'all. Just
- 15:30Speaker 2: I am paying attention, but it's helping settle my nerves.
- 15:36Speaker 2: So I promise I'm paying attention. But I just wanted
- 15:39Speaker 2: to be like if you see me looking down, and
- 15:41Speaker 2: it's for a reason, I am still paying attention.
- 15:46Speaker 3: So I'm just waiting until the day that Katie comes
- 15:49Speaker 3: on with those weird looking glasses that lets you look
- 15:53Speaker 3: forward and down at the same time. She's gonna look
- 15:58Speaker 3: like some sort of Wars.
- 16:01Speaker 2: I thought about getting those for car rides specifically, that's.
- 16:08Speaker 3: Not super dangerous. What the heck? Why would you usually
- 16:10Speaker 3: like car.
- 16:12Speaker 2: Like no like as because they they're supposed to help
- 16:15Speaker 2: with carsickness. They really Yeah, it's I don't know. I
- 16:24Speaker 2: haven't tried it obviously, but I get super bad car sick,
- 16:30Speaker 2: so I like pretty much when Matt is driving, I
- 16:34Speaker 2: typically always take a nap. But I'm like, I would
- 16:39Speaker 2: really like to be able to curchet in the car,
- 16:43Speaker 2: especially because I have to ride the back seat with Mara. Yeah,
- 16:47Speaker 2: because if we're taking a big family ride, then that
- 16:51Speaker 2: means the dogs are with us, and the dogs can't be,
- 16:53Speaker 2: in fact, seep with the baby. So yeah, anyways, that's true.
- 17:01Speaker 3: Yeah, I would say look into it. If that's the case,
- 17:04Speaker 3: definitely look into it. But let's go ahead and start
- 17:09Speaker 3: our conversation about the Skeleton crew.
- 17:15Speaker 5: All right, y'all, we're gonna hit our first ad break
- 17:17Speaker 5: and we will be right back in three two one.
- 17:21Speaker 3: First two episodes, and I will say this, do you
- 17:25Speaker 3: want to go ahead and talk about the whole thing?
- 17:28Speaker 3: Because I was actually talking to somebody at work today
- 17:33Speaker 3: and they're like, wasn't the first two episodes supposed to
- 17:36Speaker 3: air at on Monday I was like they did. They're
- 17:40Speaker 3: like it felt like one episode. I was like, well,
- 17:44Speaker 3: what did you see? And maybe I can tell you
- 17:47Speaker 3: if you watch both episodes. And they started to talk
- 17:50Speaker 3: about how the kids were running away from all these
- 17:52Speaker 3: pirates and talking about their home planet. I was like,
- 17:56Speaker 3: that was the second episode. They're like, holy cram, that
- 17:59Speaker 3: seemed very short. I was like, yes, it did. I
- 18:01Speaker 3: hated it. I hated it. I hated it. The fact
- 18:08Speaker 3: that they dropped the box, like, again, this is something
- 18:11Speaker 3: that we see in the trailers. The very last moment
- 18:15Speaker 3: of episode two. We seen the trailers, so it's not
- 18:20Speaker 3: really a spoiler, but like for the fact that they
- 18:27Speaker 3: they drop the quote that is the title of the
- 18:30Speaker 3: freaking episode, Can You Keep a Secret? And then boom credits.
- 18:34Speaker 3: I was like, you jerks. I was so pumped and
- 18:39Speaker 3: ready for more, and then the episode just ends.
- 18:44Speaker 2: Yeah, I have questions and Okay, so we're going to
- 18:52Speaker 2: tie in the beginning of episode one and the end
- 18:55Speaker 2: of episode two because this is like the biggest things
- 18:59Speaker 2: that are related, and then we could talk about the
- 19:01Speaker 2: kids in the middle, even though the kids are the star.
- 19:07Speaker 2: So at the beginning, we see a pirate raid on
- 19:11Speaker 2: a ship, and the ship says like, we are a
- 19:15Speaker 2: part of the New Republic. I declare new Republic law.
- 19:18Speaker 2: You have to get off or be in violation. And
- 19:21Speaker 2: the pirate's like, hell no, bitch, like I'm a pirate,
- 19:24Speaker 2: like I don't care about the law, which as all
- 19:28Speaker 2: criminals do in fact. So they find one credit in
- 19:35Speaker 2: the bin and apparently the pickings have been slimmed for
- 19:39Speaker 2: this pirate game. So there is a mutiny and what
- 19:43Speaker 2: is the captain's name, Slutto Sutto. I think it's so,
- 19:50Speaker 2: where's my casting list? It's not on the cast list. Yeah,
- 20:00Speaker 2: So the captain, who is wearing a mask we don't
- 20:03Speaker 2: see face, is mutinied upon and then by Brutus. Brutus
- 20:11Speaker 2: is like this big werewolf. Look at dude. Very cool.
- 20:16Speaker 2: I love the costuming in this.
- 20:19Speaker 3: I liked his design. I didn't like the way he
- 20:24Speaker 3: was moving when you first see him on the ship,
- 20:27Speaker 3: because it looks like I think it's the suit's carrying
- 20:31Speaker 3: too weight. I think it's the I think it's the
- 20:34Speaker 3: problem with the suit. But like, just like how a
- 20:40Speaker 3: football player with the shoulder pads, if they were to
- 20:45Speaker 3: raise their hands up, the entire uh, shoulder pad and
- 20:52Speaker 3: and what is that whole thing called I'm sorry, brain factor,
- 20:58Speaker 3: like the whole pads, like they all go up with them, right,
- 21:01Speaker 3: And the same thing is happening to this wolf person
- 21:05Speaker 3: and I think it's the suit in awe, not just
- 21:08Speaker 3: the clothing but the practical wolf suit that he's wearing. Yeah,
- 21:12Speaker 3: and everything goes up to his like neck and chin,
- 21:17Speaker 3: and it just makes him look very awkward when he's shooting,
- 21:20Speaker 3: and I'm like, oh, that looks kind of weird, but
- 21:22Speaker 3: I still like the design.
- 21:24Speaker 2: Yeah, I can definitely see that, Like he just doesn't
- 21:28Speaker 2: know how to move in it and everything, and it
- 21:31Speaker 2: just might honestly be too much weight. But so Brutus
- 21:38Speaker 2: takes over and he so then we don't see the
- 21:45Speaker 2: Pirates again until episode two. But like episode two, the
- 21:50Speaker 2: main part that I want to talk about is at
- 21:51Speaker 2: the end because Jude Law shows up and he's in
- 21:56Speaker 2: chains and everything, and he pulls the key to the
- 22:03Speaker 2: cell that he and the kids are in and pulls
- 22:06Speaker 2: it in and like shows off that he's a force user.
- 22:09Speaker 2: I have questions though, because if he was able to
- 22:15Speaker 2: pull the key, why didn't he pull the key immediately
- 22:19Speaker 2: when he was shoved in. So I think that this
- 22:23Speaker 2: is a ploy that he was in an individual cell
- 22:27Speaker 2: and the pirates came to him and were like, dude,
- 22:30Speaker 2: we're throwing these kids in the cell. We will let
- 22:34Speaker 2: you go free with them, but you have to find
- 22:36Speaker 2: the planet so we can find the treasure.
- 22:40Speaker 3: Ooh. I like that.
- 22:43Speaker 2: Totally, especially if they knew he was a force user,
- 22:48Speaker 2: they wouldn't leave the key around and they wouldn't like
- 22:54Speaker 2: he would have pulled the key immediately.
- 23:00Speaker 3: Here's the thing. Do you think they would know that
- 23:02Speaker 3: he's a force user?
- 23:05Speaker 2: That's the thing though. If they didn't know he was
- 23:07Speaker 2: a force user, then he would have gone ahead and
- 23:09Speaker 2: pulled the key, and then he would have just escaped
- 23:12Speaker 2: off a board.
- 23:14Speaker 3: Yeah, because I thought about that too, like why why
- 23:22Speaker 3: is he escaping now? Right?
- 23:26Speaker 2: Yeah?
- 23:27Speaker 3: And of course it could all just be as simple
- 23:30Speaker 3: as like, oh, this is how the story's written, right,
- 23:32Speaker 3: blah blah, But you have to like, for those of
- 23:38Speaker 3: us who are invested into the show already, we're gonna
- 23:42Speaker 3: have questions. We're gonna be like, why didn't you do
- 23:45Speaker 3: this before? Like this the setting is that you are
- 23:48Speaker 3: clearly in this cell prior to these kids. Why didn't
- 23:52Speaker 3: you get out before this? So I totally get it.
- 23:55Speaker 3: I totally get it.
- 23:57Speaker 2: What was your theory because you said you had questions too.
- 24:01Speaker 3: Well, everybody said prior to well not prior. They said
- 24:12Speaker 3: the pitch to this show was Stranger Things meets Star Wars.
- 24:19Speaker 3: That was the pitch, And I think that was the
- 24:22Speaker 3: wrong pitch. That's the wrong elevator pitch. This is Goonies
- 24:30Speaker 3: meets Star Wars vibe that I get.
- 24:36Speaker 2: But more people and I get it because not that
- 24:40Speaker 2: I've seen either, but I get it. But more people
- 24:44Speaker 2: are going to know what Stranger Thing is nowadays.
- 24:48Speaker 3: Yes, but here is Here's here's one thing that I
- 24:52Speaker 3: have a little bit of confrontation with. I've seen a
- 24:56Speaker 3: lot of people say like, oh, this just brings back
- 24:59Speaker 3: the vibe of the original trilogy.
- 25:03Speaker 2: No it doesn't, No, it doesn't.
- 25:07Speaker 3: I love Star Wars.
- 25:08Speaker 2: Other than the opening scene, which has been done nine times.
- 25:14Speaker 3: Oh, the opening of the these.
- 25:18Speaker 2: Like big new hope vibes.
- 25:21Speaker 3: Like exactly, yeah, you know for sure. But I think
- 25:25Speaker 3: people get very confused when they're like, oh, puppets, practical suits,
- 25:33Speaker 3: We're back in the original trilogy days baby, Yeah, Like no,
- 25:37Speaker 3: that's just a design thing. And that's totally fine that
- 25:42Speaker 3: you guys have that vibe and it makes you reminiscent
- 25:45Speaker 3: of that stuff, that's totally okay. But when you put
- 25:49Speaker 3: this show side by side to a new Hope, two
- 25:53Speaker 3: completely different visuals to com like and the idea that
- 25:59Speaker 3: like we had heard that John went as far out
- 26:05Speaker 3: as to, like, film this with a different camera and
- 26:09Speaker 3: like do different types of things, like it looked like
- 26:14Speaker 3: a brand new show, like it does.
- 26:17Speaker 2: But you can still tell it was shot on the volume,
- 26:20Speaker 2: especially with the borgo yes in second episode.
- 26:25Speaker 3: Yes, So, like I I have people I that didn't
- 26:34Speaker 3: even make sense. I have a problem with people that
- 26:39Speaker 3: try to overly hype a show to get people to
- 26:42Speaker 3: watch it when you don't need to. And again with
- 26:49Speaker 3: my thoughts of oh, this is giving me goonies vibes,
- 26:54Speaker 3: if you are wanting to reach out to the class
- 27:00Speaker 3: classic audience of Star Wars, you don't say, hey, this
- 27:04Speaker 3: is just like the number one hit Netflix show Stranger Things.
- 27:10Speaker 3: That's not going to get the classic viewers. This is
- 27:17Speaker 3: going to get the newer viewers, which I'm totally fine
- 27:19Speaker 3: with as well. If there is a horror vibe to it,
- 27:23Speaker 3: cool if there is something they're a suspenseful vibe whatever,
- 27:28Speaker 3: which I do think there was a little bit of
- 27:30Speaker 3: that in these two episodes. If you were going so
- 27:36Speaker 3: far out as to be like, oh, doing practical suits,
- 27:40Speaker 3: doing all these things that are recent of the original trilogy,
- 27:43Speaker 3: then add some things as far as how you are
- 27:47Speaker 3: pitching it to grab that old audience back. And I
- 27:50Speaker 3: think if they would have referenced Goonies more often and
- 27:54Speaker 3: had these conversations, I think that would help the conversation
- 28:00Speaker 3: of this week's premiere a little better. Because we had
- 28:05Speaker 3: the conversation in the gua chat and everybody was like, Oh,
- 28:10Speaker 3: that's later on my list, that's later on my list.
- 28:13Speaker 3: Oh you know, I couldn't get to it today, started tomorrow,
- 28:15Speaker 3: blah blah blah. Guys, I wanted to watch it. I
- 28:21Speaker 3: made an investment with Abby that now that we have
- 28:24Speaker 3: Hulu again, we put the priority on only murders in
- 28:28Speaker 3: the building. So we have been watching that every single night.
- 28:33Speaker 3: And then I was like, Okay, when everybody goes to bed,
- 28:36Speaker 3: I will watch Skeleton Crew, and so I started Skeleton
- 28:39Speaker 3: Crew at eleven thirty at night. Horrible decision on my end,
- 28:45Speaker 3: because I'm a parent. Now I can't yeah me that
- 28:51Speaker 3: and I fell asleep like fifteen minutes in, so I
- 28:55Speaker 3: was like, oh crap, I'll finish this tomorrow, turn it off,
- 28:59Speaker 3: and I watched it on Tuesday. That does not, at
- 29:04Speaker 3: any point in time say that I was not interested
- 29:10Speaker 3: in the show and thus I am pushing it back
- 29:13Speaker 3: because of that. Travis, on the other hand, felt the
- 29:18Speaker 3: need to say, oh, well, if we people who are
- 29:24Speaker 3: podcasting about this stuff and kind of surrounds our lives
- 29:28Speaker 3: around these pop culture things, if we're pushing it off
- 29:32Speaker 3: to the side, I wonder what the general audience is
- 29:35Speaker 3: doing with this show. And Katie, what do you feel
- 29:40Speaker 3: about those comments that Travis made now that we're in
- 29:44Speaker 3: a public scene of our podcast, Like, do you think
- 29:50Speaker 3: that this show is going to be? Like are the
- 29:57Speaker 3: first two episode viewing numbers? Do you think they're gonna
- 30:02Speaker 3: be high? Do you think they're gonna be low?
- 30:03Speaker 2: How do you feel we're gonna go into our second
- 30:06Speaker 2: ad break and we'll.
- 30:08Speaker 5: Be right back?
- 30:10Speaker 2: I hate staying viewing numbersus the worst part podcast. No,
- 30:19Speaker 2: you know, I don't think I don't think they'll be
- 30:22Speaker 2: as high as Acolyte. I don't think they're going to
- 30:28Speaker 2: be super low. I picture like maybe on par with
- 30:33Speaker 2: like Miss Marble is kind of what I'm thinking. This
- 30:41Speaker 2: has more of a name behind it with John Watts
- 30:46Speaker 2: as like the showrunner and stuff, so it might get
- 30:50Speaker 2: more attention than Miss Marvel. But I think the I
- 30:57Speaker 2: really think the premiere was I think the premiere was
- 31:04Speaker 2: poorly done because they moved it to a Monday suddenly.
- 31:11Speaker 2: If they had said, oh, this is going to premiere
- 31:14Speaker 2: on Monday, like months in advance, I think it would
- 31:19Speaker 2: have done a little bit better. But I don't like
- 31:22Speaker 2: it when shows go, oh, yeah, you're gonna premiere on
- 31:24Speaker 2: this date, but then we move it last minute, like
- 31:27Speaker 2: Obi Wan Kenobi was one thing because okay, you're at
- 31:31Speaker 2: Star Wars celebration, you move it up, like a lot
- 31:35Speaker 2: of people are talking about Star Wars because Star Wars
- 31:38Speaker 2: Celebration is happening right now, So moving up the premiere
- 31:42Speaker 2: makes sense because you have people talking about it. Skeleton Crew,
- 31:46Speaker 2: what did you gain by moving the premiere up one day?
- 31:51Speaker 2: Yeah that I don't think you gained anything really, And
- 31:56Speaker 2: then you screwed people up because one person in our
- 32:00Speaker 2: chat was like, yeah, no, I really thought it was
- 32:03Speaker 2: gonna be a Tuesday, So I wasn't really expecting it
- 32:07Speaker 2: until people started talking about it in the chat, So
- 32:12Speaker 2: I think it could hit both ways. I will be
- 32:16Speaker 2: interested to see next week's numbers compared to this week
- 32:21Speaker 2: because it's like regularly scheduled programming, So.
- 32:25Speaker 3: Yeah, regularly it's so that's okay, So it's not gonna
- 32:30Speaker 3: stay on Mondays, correct, it's.
- 32:32Speaker 2: Going correct going to Tuesdays.
- 32:34Speaker 3: It's going to Tuesdays. I will say it's gonna be
- 32:39Speaker 3: very interesting. There is the first week of December is
- 32:46Speaker 3: very popular. By the way. There is in the video
- 32:52Speaker 3: game Realm. There's a really hot game coming out this week.
- 32:57Speaker 3: There's DC coming out this week with Creature Commandos and
- 33:03Speaker 3: Star Wars. Like, there's a lot of things that are
- 33:06Speaker 3: pulling the attention of everybody. So I'm not gonna use
- 33:12Speaker 3: that as an excuse of like, oh, Skeleton Crew did
- 33:14Speaker 3: poorly because of the other things. It's just the way
- 33:17Speaker 3: the business goes.
- 33:19Speaker 2: What I will see, Summer was insanely popular Disney and
- 33:23Speaker 2: Accolyte was still getting good numbers compared to House of
- 33:27Speaker 2: the Dragon.
- 33:27Speaker 3: Yeah, exactly, well, but I believe that Skeleton Crew will
- 33:40Speaker 3: have better numbers than and Or. I'm gonna go ahead
- 33:47Speaker 3: and say it, which is not really saying much, but
- 33:54Speaker 3: in the realm of the quote unquote popularity, you know, Chris,
- 34:03Speaker 3: although he is joking about it, it kind of makes
- 34:06Speaker 3: a lot of sense. The fact that like, oh, I
- 34:09Speaker 3: didn't even know this show was a thing, bloody blah
- 34:12Speaker 3: blah blah, was the same kind of sentiment that and
- 34:15Speaker 3: Or got. And it didn't get a whole lot of numbers. Yeah,
- 34:18Speaker 3: but then it was like wildly acclaimed as like, oh,
- 34:23Speaker 3: this is the best Disney plus Star Wars show ever,
- 34:27Speaker 3: So like, yep, let's see how this goes. And as
- 34:31Speaker 3: of right now, Rotten Tomato score, Skeleton Crew is just
- 34:38Speaker 3: below and Or Or is it the other way around?
- 34:42Speaker 2: Is it just above I don't remember. It's in the
- 34:46Speaker 2: range of and Or, and it's the only two shows
- 34:50Speaker 2: to be certified fresh for Star Wars, which again I
- 34:55Speaker 2: don't put a whole lot of stock into Rotten Tomatoes
- 34:58Speaker 2: because I have opinion.
- 35:02Speaker 3: But the general impressive Yeah.
- 35:05Speaker 2: Correct, that's still really impressive, and it's a general audience metric,
- 35:12Speaker 2: so I would say this is super impressive. I've seen
- 35:15Speaker 2: really good things on Twitter. I have not had a
- 35:19Speaker 2: lot of time on social media, so I haven't really
- 35:21Speaker 2: been able to like get the full effect to see
- 35:24Speaker 2: what people are talking about on everything. But I would
- 35:27Speaker 2: say it's off to a good start.
- 35:31Speaker 3: I think so as well. And I want to say,
- 35:36Speaker 3: let's go ahead and talk about these kids.
- 35:40Speaker 2: Well, let's talk let's talk production and okay, and do
- 35:46Speaker 2: that first. That way we can kind of make sure
- 35:48Speaker 2: we hit it and then we can move on to
- 35:52Speaker 2: the kids.
- 35:54Speaker 3: Yeah, so, uh, well, how do you want to start that, So.
- 35:59Speaker 2: Let's talk music first. I was really impressed. I think
- 36:03Speaker 2: the music, uh falls doesn't feel like traditional Star Wars,
- 36:11Speaker 2: but it's the vibe because the planetary otuen feels traditional
- 36:18Speaker 2: Star Wars. But then we get to the pirate with
- 36:21Speaker 2: Borgo and like even on the ship and everything, and
- 36:23Speaker 2: we're like, ooh, yeah, like this is something new, this
- 36:27Speaker 2: is some fresh and really dig that.
- 36:32Speaker 3: I really dug the set pieces here, guys. As much
- 36:40Speaker 3: as everybody wanted to complain about suburban Star Wars.
- 36:48Speaker 2: It looks fucking awesome.
- 36:50Speaker 3: It works. I am sorry, and it feels weird to
- 36:55Speaker 3: say it because I'll be honest, looking at everything that
- 37:00Speaker 3: was in this show, this just looks like a futuristic
- 37:05Speaker 3: version of like Earth like this. Honestly, this show Skeleton
- 37:14Speaker 3: Crew looked like every eighties and nineties show that was like, Oh,
- 37:23Speaker 3: this is what the future is going to look like,
- 37:26Speaker 3: and it I just think it's so funny to think
- 37:31Speaker 3: like that. Yeah, Katie kind of going into the story
- 37:36Speaker 3: a little bit with the suburban stuff, because we look
- 37:44Speaker 3: at we had some theories about the beginning of this
- 37:48Speaker 3: and like this planet in particular. Uh, there's like I say,
- 37:54Speaker 3: opening crawl, but it really wasn't an opening crawl.
- 37:56Speaker 2: Yeah, it really was an open crawl. It was very
- 37:59Speaker 2: much a Soaka.
- 38:01Speaker 3: It was Ahsoka, but like it was like instead of
- 38:04Speaker 3: a long time ago in a galaxy far far away,
- 38:07Speaker 3: it was since the fall of the Empire. The New
- 38:10Speaker 3: Republic has been taken care of, you know, intercollecting space
- 38:13Speaker 3: blah blah blah, and yet the remote hyperspace routes are
- 38:17Speaker 3: incredibly plagued with piracy and all of these other things.
- 38:23Speaker 3: So the timeline, Katie, are Star Wars historian queen here
- 38:31Speaker 3: remind the listeners where this takes place.
- 38:35Speaker 2: So this is Mandalorian timeframe, so we do get New
- 38:45Speaker 2: Republic references. Like I said, with the beginning with the Pirates.
- 38:51Speaker 2: The guy cites New Republic law in everything, So it's
- 38:57Speaker 2: probably Mandalorian season three because we do see Vain the
- 39:01Speaker 2: Nick Joe Pirate, So probably a little post Mandalorian season three,
- 39:10Speaker 2: or actually even could be before that because we don't
- 39:13Speaker 2: know where Vain was at Yea previously, So it's good
- 39:19Speaker 2: potential either way. Sorry, I'm trying to pick a stitch.
- 39:23Speaker 3: Here, but I I asked you to clarify timeline so
- 39:30Speaker 3: people aren't confused by this question. We theorized or you
- 39:34Speaker 3: theorized specifically, and then I was like, Oh, that's a
- 39:39Speaker 3: really cool theory. I would have on board with that.
- 39:42Speaker 3: You theorized, Hey, is there any possible way that a
- 39:47Speaker 3: planet ruled under the Empire? Was you know, with that
- 39:54Speaker 3: with the secluded and treated as like a test planet
- 40:02Speaker 3: of Hey, this is how we're going to make a
- 40:04Speaker 3: perfect society, right, Yeah, so.
- 40:07Speaker 2: Like a Truman Show esque enfiel. So that brings me
- 40:13Speaker 2: to the topic that I want to talk about, which
- 40:15Speaker 2: was the tweet that I sent in because and honestly, y'all,
- 40:21Speaker 2: I didn't watch that many trailers with Skeleton Crew, like
- 40:25Speaker 2: I watched the two main ones, but I didn't really
- 40:27Speaker 2: watch any other footage or anything, and so I know
- 40:31Speaker 2: this quote was in the trailer. But the teacher, the
- 40:37Speaker 2: teacher droid talks about being a part of the great
- 40:42Speaker 2: work with taking their assessment, which, by the way, taking
- 40:48Speaker 2: a career assessment test which is going to place you
- 40:50Speaker 2: into your career field at eleven years old really sucks.
- 40:54Speaker 2: Whoever designed that in the Star Wars University suck because
- 40:59Speaker 2: that's stupid. So the crew the teacher droid talks about
- 41:05Speaker 2: great being part of the great work, and where do
- 41:09Speaker 2: we know great works from the High Republic. So yeah,
- 41:18Speaker 2: the great works including one Starlight Beacon.
- 41:24Speaker 3: Yeah, dut dud.
- 41:28Speaker 2: And Aughten is known. As it was said in the
- 41:37Speaker 2: in some of the interviews, Aughton was the crown jewel
- 41:41Speaker 2: of the Old Republic?
- 41:45Speaker 3: Was it really?
- 41:47Speaker 2: Yes?
- 41:47Speaker 3: I did not see any of these interviews. That is
- 41:53Speaker 3: like a little like tongue in cheek there for anybody
- 41:56Speaker 3: who actually is paying attention to High Republic staff.
- 42:02Speaker 2: Yes. So in the the official currency on the planet
- 42:09Speaker 2: was credit and gets from the Old Republic era, Oh,
- 42:17Speaker 2: the crown jewel of the Old Republic skeleton cruise creators.
- 42:21Speaker 2: And there was no legends reference to a on by
- 42:24Speaker 2: the way, So this is just in the interview. So
- 42:32Speaker 2: Chris Ford, wait, where was the quote, because there's a
- 42:37Speaker 2: specific quote. Okay, this doesn't have it, but basically Chris
- 42:42Speaker 2: Ford and John Watts, who are like the showrunners, Chris
- 42:49Speaker 2: Ford said, that's what's fun about it. The kids grow
- 42:51Speaker 2: up there. It's peaceful, it's nice, and they don't like
- 42:54Speaker 2: that because they're board. But if you're in Tattoo or
- 42:56Speaker 2: if you're in the middle of a battle, you would
- 42:57Speaker 2: love to go to this planet. So it's about that
- 42:59Speaker 2: difference perspective. We know that's the theme of Star Wars.
- 43:02Speaker 2: If you look at things from a certain point of view,
- 43:04Speaker 2: what's the actual value there? John Watt said, there's definitely
- 43:07Speaker 2: more to the planet than meets the eye, but we
- 43:09Speaker 2: don't want to say too much. Oh, Joe Decklemeyer, who
- 43:13Speaker 2: I have no idea this is Oh that's the screen
- 43:17Speaker 2: ran interviewer guy. Sorry, but they have with this new
- 43:21Speaker 2: planet being referenced as having once been quote the crown
- 43:24Speaker 2: jewel of the Old Republic end quote.
- 43:27Speaker 6: So so I'm I'm looking at this post that you
- 43:33Speaker 6: shared in the Star Wars chat, and you know me,
- 43:37Speaker 6: I'm always like Okay, what are other people thinking about
- 43:40Speaker 6: these things that we're talking about.
- 43:43Speaker 3: I mean, there's some jerks here. Oh just give us
- 43:45Speaker 3: old Republic references and we'll all be happy. Don't need
- 43:48Speaker 3: any of this high of Republic stuff. I don't care
- 43:50Speaker 3: about you. But then there's like I love people with
- 43:55Speaker 3: like tinfoil hats because it's like you to go that crazy,
- 43:59Speaker 3: but I love the energy for it. What if everyone
- 44:02Speaker 3: on the planet has levels of medical oreans and they
- 44:05Speaker 3: were specifically sheltered away during the time to save them
- 44:10Speaker 3: guys alm down. It's a fun theory, but Caul I like,
- 44:24Speaker 3: I again, fun theory. I think it would be very
- 44:28Speaker 3: fun and cool, but it is like the worst decision
- 44:32Speaker 3: you can make because it is an end all be
- 44:36Speaker 3: all of like this is how we get all of
- 44:39Speaker 3: the Jedi in the future. Okay, Like don't love that,
- 44:49Speaker 3: like instead of instead of the idea of like people
- 44:53Speaker 3: naturally like finding out their abilities and everything else, finding
- 44:59Speaker 3: out that you were basically nurtured to be a Jedi,
- 45:04Speaker 3: like a whole planet full of Jedi like make speak
- 45:09Speaker 3: excuse me, kind of iffy on it.
- 45:12Speaker 2: And that is something that was done in legends though,
- 45:15Speaker 2: like the oh gosh out abound flight. They sent Jedi
- 45:27Speaker 2: with them and like family members and stuff, so that
- 45:31Speaker 2: way they could build colonies and everything, and so it's
- 45:38Speaker 2: like it's like you're like setting things up for success.
- 45:43Speaker 2: Kind of. Yeah, it would be interesting to me that
- 45:47Speaker 2: they basically have replaced themselves with safety droids if that
- 45:53Speaker 2: were the case. Now, granted we've talked about this kind
- 45:56Speaker 2: of with Marvel and DC like in group chats, not
- 46:01Speaker 2: nicely on a podcast, but like, what if the whole
- 46:04Speaker 2: planet was super like what then? So maybe that's why
- 46:09Speaker 2: you replaced some with safety droids. But yeah, I don't
- 46:10Speaker 2: see that being a distinct possibility. I really think it's
- 46:15Speaker 2: like a I like the higher public theory, like Lena
- 46:21Speaker 2: so set up a specific planet to see in the
- 46:26Speaker 2: outer Rim with like all these.
- 46:27Speaker 3: Things like so what if again tenfold hat. People who
- 46:35Speaker 3: are not reading these books might feel a little lost
- 46:40Speaker 3: on this, but I just want to see Katie's reaction
- 46:42Speaker 3: right now. The barrier aka the storm wall.
- 46:52Speaker 2: Technology, Oh, how would the how would this ship have
- 46:57Speaker 2: gotten out of the barrier?
- 47:00Speaker 3: It has a path engine? Because one of the bigger
- 47:06Speaker 3: points of one thing that really weirded me out throughout
- 47:13Speaker 3: this entire first episode. Second episode not so much because
- 47:18Speaker 3: we saw a lot of ships. We didn't see any
- 47:24Speaker 3: ships in the sky.
- 47:27Speaker 2: Correct, it was just repulsor.
- 47:30Speaker 3: If you look at any and all planets from any
- 47:35Speaker 3: and all other star Wars, Coruscant domesticated, full city, flying
- 47:45Speaker 3: cars everywhere. Did we see a single flying car? No?
- 47:50Speaker 2: Yeah, everything stays pretty close to the roads. Yeah, so
- 47:55Speaker 2: they don't have the capability to climb.
- 48:00Speaker 3: So I think these like stories of Jedi and starships
- 48:10Speaker 3: and everything else is literally literally just myths on add
- 48:21Speaker 3: their fantasy. They are pieces of fiction, which is why
- 48:27Speaker 3: we see Wim is that his name? Yeah, which is
- 48:33Speaker 3: why we see Whim obsessing over them. Yeah, it's all
- 48:42Speaker 3: fiction in their eyes. The father freaked out over a starship.
- 48:51Speaker 3: The droids said, that's impossible. Starships are not prohibited in
- 49:00Speaker 3: this space.
- 49:01Speaker 2: Are prohibited? Not are prohibit.
- 49:04Speaker 3: Yeah, are are prohibited in this space. So it's like,
- 49:09Speaker 3: I don't think anybody has actually seen an airship on
- 49:12Speaker 3: that planet.
- 49:13Speaker 2: Oh yeah no. And it's like did you see Fallout?
- 49:21Speaker 3: Yes? I did.
- 49:23Speaker 2: So it's like that where they're like, oh, nobody goes
- 49:25Speaker 2: to the surface. Nobody goes to the surface. Yea like
- 49:29Speaker 2: they all have absolutely no idea what's going on.
- 49:33Speaker 3: So I think that it is a very large possibility
- 49:40Speaker 3: that I I I see this person talking about storm seeds,
- 49:45Speaker 3: storm wall path engine, like if this is like talking
- 49:52Speaker 3: about Lina's Lina So's great works. Like hmm. If at
- 49:57Speaker 3: Aten was legitimately a safe haven of some sort that
- 50:05Speaker 3: they wanted to completely shut off from the known galaxy,
- 50:12Speaker 3: We've seen it happen before.
- 50:15Speaker 2: Mm hmm.
- 50:16Speaker 3: Oh we want kenob we couldn't find a planet? Mmm
- 50:20Speaker 3: where to go? Oh, it was erased from the archives. Boom,
- 50:27Speaker 3: it's happened before, Like they could easily do it again.
- 50:31Speaker 2: Yeah, and like it could have been erased from the
- 50:38Speaker 2: archives on the lineage if it wasn't done during the
- 50:43Speaker 2: High Republic. But like they have old Republic credits which
- 50:47Speaker 2: are the long rectangular ones, so we know, like and
- 50:53Speaker 2: I love that.
- 50:53Speaker 3: They had the they they took the time to show
- 50:59Speaker 3: the difference because of the very opening scene.
- 51:02Speaker 2: We see one singular New Republic credit.
- 51:06Speaker 3: And it's a Republic credit, and then you see Whim
- 51:09Speaker 3: with his credits. They're all nice and shiny. They don't
- 51:14Speaker 3: look old at all, which is very interesting. Mm hmm.
- 51:19Speaker 2: Yeah, So it'll be. I'm really interested to see what
- 51:26Speaker 2: happens because on Borgo, everyone's like, oh, the City of
- 51:31Speaker 2: Lost Treasure or the Planet of Lost Treasure.
- 51:33Speaker 3: Like I saw real quick, I saw somebody post that
- 51:37Speaker 3: they're like the quote of the character saying, oh, the
- 51:42Speaker 3: planet of Lost Treasure, and it said the Treasure semi
- 51:46Speaker 3: colon and it was a picture of Neil so good.
- 51:53Speaker 3: I love him as a character.
- 51:55Speaker 2: He's so good. And the kid because the kid is
- 51:58Speaker 2: doing the CGI work, like, oh yeah, because they showed
- 52:03Speaker 2: up behind the scenes featurette and he's like doing all
- 52:07Speaker 2: of like because I was wondering because they had like
- 52:11Speaker 2: in certain scenes you can see the mouth move underneath
- 52:14Speaker 2: the trunk and that's just so impressive, Like I really
- 52:17Speaker 2: thought it was costuming, but no, he's doing like full
- 52:21Speaker 2: on CGI work. Yeah, and we're about to jump into
- 52:24Speaker 2: our third ad, y'all. We promise we'll be right back,
- 52:28Speaker 2: we promise. So speaking of the Planet of the Lost Treasure, so,
- 52:37Speaker 2: oh gosh, Adrian actually posted who this was. Oh, I'm
- 52:45Speaker 2: gonna have to go look up what he said. The
- 52:50Speaker 2: actress here the dancer basically, which we see another Thurfin.
- 52:57Speaker 2: I think it's a Thurfin with the spikes, so like
- 53:00Speaker 2: another callback to Legends right there. So I loved her.
- 53:09Speaker 2: I thought she was really caring. And that's just another
- 53:14Speaker 2: kind of tie into this, like, hey, Star Wars is
- 53:17Speaker 2: for kids, Like our whole goal is take care of kids,
- 53:20Speaker 2: no matter who we are, like to the best of
- 53:24Speaker 2: our abilities. So that really that really meant a lot
- 53:32Speaker 2: to me, Like in Star Wars to see that happen,
- 53:36Speaker 2: especially when they're on a comment full of pirates.
- 53:41Speaker 3: So yeah, I'm looking at his post now, did you
- 53:51Speaker 3: notice what was on Neil's siblings hollo vid?
- 54:00Speaker 2: I was trying to pay attention to that, but I
- 54:02Speaker 2: didn't really.
- 54:05Speaker 3: Like, you've never seen it before, because you've literally never
- 54:11Speaker 3: seen it before. We were going to do it several times.
- 54:18Speaker 2: The Holiday special.
- 54:21Speaker 3: They have made the Holiday Special Cannon within the actual
- 54:25Speaker 3: canon of Star Wars. Yes, Neil's siblings. We're watching the
- 54:37Speaker 3: Star Wars Holiday Special on their hollow bid and people
- 54:45Speaker 3: are like freaking out. Uh. One person is even like
- 54:50Speaker 3: saying like, oh my god, there's drag queens in Star Wars,
- 54:54Speaker 3: Like how could you? I'm like, dude, were you not
- 54:57Speaker 3: even watching the whole freaking episode or two on this show,
- 55:02Speaker 3: we're dealing with pirates killing people, shooting people in like
- 55:08Speaker 3: the eye and like you're worried about drag queens, like yeah,
- 55:12Speaker 3: come on now, but like literally, there's like drug use
- 55:16Speaker 3: here and like a whole bunch of stuff, and even
- 55:18Speaker 3: Adrian points that out, uh in this response. But I
- 55:24Speaker 3: do love the irony of how we were all like
- 55:28Speaker 3: protect these kids and then like literally in the second episode,
- 55:33Speaker 3: like she immediately runs to them, are you guys kids?
- 55:36Speaker 3: Like also that is very interesting as well, like, yeah,
- 55:41Speaker 3: the life of a pirate never seeing kids, Okay, I
- 55:45Speaker 3: can kind of understand that, but at the same time
- 55:48Speaker 3: to be surprised to see kids.
- 55:51Speaker 2: But you also have other aliens in things, so like
- 55:56Speaker 2: you have Yoda who's the size of a kid, which yeah,
- 56:00Speaker 2: is away I would have. And this may just be me,
- 56:05Speaker 2: And I know they're trying to keep Yoda's species like
- 56:08Speaker 2: a huge secret and like trying to build up to
- 56:10Speaker 2: whatever this is with him and the Grogu and whatnot.
- 56:17Speaker 2: But I would have actually loved to see a Yoda
- 56:22Speaker 2: species in that classroom. I thought that would have been hysterical.
- 56:28Speaker 3: That Okay, so see this is how you know that
- 56:32Speaker 3: Katie just wants to watch the world burn, because you
- 56:36Speaker 3: know she would just like, yeah, she like would find
- 56:39Speaker 3: it hilarious. She is I don't know if anybody has
- 56:43Speaker 3: ever seen Oh God, I am just blanking on the
- 56:48Speaker 3: movie titles here, freaking uh. You were the kid in
- 56:57Speaker 3: the back of the classroom that throws a paper ball
- 57:02Speaker 3: at the back of the teacher's head and then just
- 57:05Speaker 3: like quietly sits back and watches the chaos that ensues.
- 57:08Speaker 3: Like that is who I think Katie is. Now. People
- 57:12Speaker 3: are like, how do you know that? I don't know
- 57:14Speaker 3: that because Katie was homeschooled, and I think that's probably
- 57:18Speaker 3: for the best of us, because.
- 57:20Speaker 2: I did go to public high school.
- 57:23Speaker 3: All you did go to public high school. That's right.
- 57:25Speaker 2: That was where I learned what crabs are not appropriate
- 57:29Speaker 2: conversation through this podcast.
- 57:33Speaker 3: But I just, I genuinely feel like you you were
- 57:37Speaker 3: that person at one point in your life. Because if
- 57:41Speaker 3: there was a Yoda species in that assessment classroom, everyone
- 57:48Speaker 3: would have forgotten about at Aden. Everybody would not have
- 57:52Speaker 3: cared about Jude Law being a Jedi using the Force.
- 57:56Speaker 3: Nobody would have loved my possibly newest favorite droid in
- 58:02Speaker 3: all of Star Wars se freak and Smee, which I
- 58:06Speaker 3: think is also hilarious. He is the second hand to
- 58:10Speaker 3: a pirate aka Captain hook sme. I love this connection
- 58:17Speaker 3: if that's legitimately what it is. But like, yeah, like
- 58:24Speaker 3: you would have you would not have heard anybody talking
- 58:26Speaker 3: about any other part of this show. It would have
- 58:30Speaker 3: just been about that one character that you saw either
- 58:34Speaker 3: the corner of the ear and they're like, oh, I
- 58:37Speaker 3: know that furry ear anywhere. That's Yoda. It's like, come on, guys,
- 58:41Speaker 3: like chill out.
- 58:43Speaker 2: You're not wrong, you're not wrong.
- 58:46Speaker 3: It would have been horrible. I'm glad they didn't do it.
- 58:51Speaker 3: Yis Katie. When Alfred said some people just want to
- 58:55Speaker 3: watch the world burn, he was talking about you.
- 59:02Speaker 2: No, but like, wouldn't you think that would be like
- 59:04Speaker 2: a good Like this whole planet has been hidden for years,
- 59:08Speaker 2: so like it makes sense for another one to be there.
- 59:11Speaker 3: Yes, now, I will say this, if there was a
- 59:14Speaker 3: Yoda species there, that would confirm every single theory that
- 59:18Speaker 3: we've had about this show. And I think that's also
- 59:22Speaker 3: why they didn't put it there, because they're like, hey,
- 59:25Speaker 3: we don't want to show all of our cards right now,
- 59:27Speaker 3: We'll show some of them, but not all of them.
- 59:33Speaker 2: All right, so the kids, Fern kind of pisses me
- 59:40Speaker 2: off you, but he's like my personality.
- 59:46Speaker 3: You like to have that personality in the of course,
- 59:51Speaker 3: like this is the coming of age story, Like this
- 59:54Speaker 3: is the very classic coming of age story adventure story.
- 59:58Speaker 3: And when it comes to a group of kids, there
- 1:00:02Speaker 3: is always, without a doubt, a bully every single time,
- 1:00:11Speaker 3: and every single time there will be a moment where
- 1:00:16Speaker 3: that person is no longer a bully, and we're already
- 1:00:21Speaker 3: seeing it. It happened very quickly, but I still think
- 1:00:24Speaker 3: there's still conflict and kind of butting heads with Fern
- 1:00:29Speaker 3: and Whim. There's gonna be a moment where they put
- 1:00:31Speaker 3: away their differences and fully be on board with like, hey,
- 1:00:35Speaker 3: we're just trying to get home, We're gonna save each other,
- 1:00:38Speaker 3: all this type of stuff. Like I genuinely believe that's
- 1:00:41Speaker 3: gonna happen.
- 1:00:43Speaker 2: Oh, I did forget one piece of production. By the way,
- 1:00:47Speaker 2: there were two jump scares in the first episode, and
- 1:00:51Speaker 2: I have serious problems. I almost woke my up because
- 1:00:58Speaker 2: I screamed.
- 1:01:00Speaker 3: Okay, So the first one is when uh, it's me, yes,
- 1:01:09Speaker 3: when they're looking at sme and then uh, the four
- 1:01:13Speaker 3: eyed rat comes out of the rat comes out of
- 1:01:16Speaker 3: his eye, scares them, pulls the lever and all of that.
- 1:01:19Speaker 3: That's the first one. The second one is when Smee
- 1:01:28Speaker 3: actually starts walking towards them.
- 1:01:31Speaker 2: Oh no, it was when Fird goes where KB and
- 1:01:35Speaker 2: the KB just like pops up.
- 1:01:37Speaker 3: Oh are you saying.
- 1:01:43Speaker 2: I didn't even freak out when Smeee was coming.
- 1:01:46Speaker 3: Oh that's hilarious. Oh man, there was. I saw a
- 1:01:51Speaker 3: post today and I just had to be like, oh,
- 1:01:54Speaker 3: that's not funny. They're like somebody put like the spoiler
- 1:01:59Speaker 3: filter on their picture on Twitter, and they're like spoilers
- 1:02:03Speaker 3: for the first episode of a Skeleton Crew or the
- 1:02:10Speaker 3: second episode of Skeleton Crew, and so you uh it,
- 1:02:15Speaker 3: like they put the dashes so that way you can't
- 1:02:18Speaker 3: read what their final thoughts are going to be. And
- 1:02:21Speaker 3: then you unclick the filter and it says look a
- 1:02:27Speaker 3: tech cameo and it was the skit the skeleton on
- 1:02:33Speaker 3: on the ship. And I was like, oh, that's not nice,
- 1:02:35Speaker 3: that's nice. That's too soon. But yeah, I love the kids,
- 1:02:41Speaker 3: burn KB, whim and Neil. I think Neil is going
- 1:02:48Speaker 3: to steal the show. I just I just think that
- 1:02:53Speaker 3: is the way it's gonna be. I love Kb's you
- 1:03:00Speaker 3: of tech with her visor mm and how she like
- 1:03:06Speaker 3: was able to manipulate her voice with it. That was
- 1:03:08Speaker 3: really fun. Like uh yeah, like comply or you will
- 1:03:15Speaker 3: be vaporized? Who is your crush at school? Like that was?
- 1:03:22Speaker 2: And it's just like, I.
- 1:03:27Speaker 3: Like, Whim is the stereotypical daydream kid in in this show,
- 1:03:35Speaker 3: and I I don't have a problem with him, but
- 1:03:39Speaker 3: I am gonna need him to evolve as a character
- 1:03:42Speaker 3: throughout this show. Yeah, because if he stays like this
- 1:03:49Speaker 3: the way he is and then they like kind of
- 1:03:51Speaker 3: reward that later on, I'm not going to feel like
- 1:03:55Speaker 3: it was really worth the adventure, yeah, because he doesn't
- 1:04:00Speaker 3: or anything, because yeah, he gets the he gets the
- 1:04:03Speaker 3: validation of like a Jedi, you know, like and on
- 1:04:07Speaker 3: all that, Like yeah cool. But I could definitely see
- 1:04:11Speaker 3: there being a moment if our theories play out to
- 1:04:13Speaker 3: be true, if this is of course not a Jedi
- 1:04:18Speaker 3: and just somebody who is for sensitive and you know,
- 1:04:23Speaker 3: ends up turning on these kids at some point, like
- 1:04:29Speaker 3: then Wim can just be like, oh, this was not
- 1:04:32Speaker 3: what I thought it was gonna be and all of that,
- 1:04:35Speaker 3: which I kind of also think that might legitimately happen
- 1:04:38Speaker 3: anyway in some in some capacity. But yeah, I just
- 1:04:44Speaker 3: need I like Whim as a character, but I need
- 1:04:47Speaker 3: him to evolve and I like him more.
- 1:04:50Speaker 2: Yeah, for sure. No, it is like because Fern pisses
- 1:04:58Speaker 2: me off because it's like the whole like tell stories,
- 1:05:02Speaker 2: like make stuff up, which I get it. She doesn't
- 1:05:06Speaker 2: have like the the parental presence in her life, but
- 1:05:10Speaker 2: at least like Wim is like just stuck in his daydreams,
- 1:05:15Speaker 2: whereas Ferna' is like, oh yeah, I'm ready to grow up,
- 1:05:17Speaker 2: but also not ready to grow up.
- 1:05:21Speaker 3: You see two different lifestyles here, and this is very
- 1:05:26Speaker 3: much in the social classes of this planet. You see
- 1:05:35Speaker 3: Whim and his father, which they are both people of color.
- 1:05:40Speaker 3: For one thing, Yes, you see that WiM's father is
- 1:05:44Speaker 3: very nervous about, you know, things that he's having to
- 1:05:47Speaker 3: do for work. He's a very workaholic. Asked yes, whereas
- 1:05:52Speaker 3: when you see Fern Ferne's mother is the person that
- 1:05:57Speaker 3: comes in to talk to the class. You can see
- 1:05:59Speaker 3: that there's social classes between the two of them are
- 1:06:03Speaker 3: very different. They don't have to worry about such and
- 1:06:05Speaker 3: so it's kind of why you have the like bully, sarcastic,
- 1:06:12Speaker 3: very stereotypical for that part of the social class to
- 1:06:16Speaker 3: have the rebel, you know. So it fits the bill,
- 1:06:21Speaker 3: which I'm not like too angry about. But you know,
- 1:06:28Speaker 3: as I've been saying with this, the almost every single
- 1:06:31Speaker 3: character here is kind of like, hey, we'll we'll pull
- 1:06:36Speaker 3: this carrier character type from this show and this carrier
- 1:06:40Speaker 3: type from this show and throw it into here. Like
- 1:06:45Speaker 3: there's nothing really new, which I think some people might
- 1:06:50Speaker 3: see as like cookie cutter in a sense, but I
- 1:06:53Speaker 3: hope that the storytelling and the visuals make for that. Yeah, uh,
- 1:07:03Speaker 3: within within the lifespan of this show.
- 1:07:06Speaker 2: No, for sure, I think it's I think it's very fun.
- 1:07:10Speaker 2: I love KB, I love Neil, and I just want
- 1:07:15Speaker 2: Neil to be able to go home because clearly that's
- 1:07:17Speaker 2: all he want, and I'm very excited for Like I
- 1:07:22Speaker 2: was a little nervous because the rumor is that the
- 1:07:26Speaker 2: Daniels episode is Neil focused, and I was like, I
- 1:07:30Speaker 2: don't know how that's gonna go, like based off what
- 1:07:32Speaker 2: we had seen in like trailers and interviews. But now
- 1:07:35Speaker 2: that I've seen Neil, I'm one hundred percent down for
- 1:07:39Speaker 2: the Daniels doing meal, Like, I think it's really going
- 1:07:43Speaker 2: to be spectacular. Very interested to see what they will
- 1:07:49Speaker 2: come up with for him and everything. I love that
- 1:07:56Speaker 2: we're getting to see like normal daddy issues in Star
- 1:08:00Speaker 2: Wars because so Whim, this is something I stole from
- 1:08:05Speaker 2: somebody else, because like people were like, well, we get
- 1:08:08Speaker 2: like a lot of daddy issues because Luke loses his
- 1:08:11Speaker 2: hand his daddy and everything. So like it's like Wim
- 1:08:18Speaker 2: is having normal daddy issues because his dad's workaholic and
- 1:08:22Speaker 2: doesn't want to read him a bedtime story. The dude
- 1:08:26Speaker 2: is nervous before a test. Read him the freaking bedtime story?
- 1:08:30Speaker 2: Makes me sad? Did you not get sad at that
- 1:08:35Speaker 2: at all?
- 1:08:36Speaker 3: It's funny because I turned this song for the very
- 1:08:39Speaker 3: first time when both Amberlyn and Abby were in the room,
- 1:08:43Speaker 3: and when Whim's dad said aren't you getting a little
- 1:08:50Speaker 3: old for that and walked away, Abby just goes never.
- 1:08:56Speaker 2: Yes, That's what I was like. I literally stared at
- 1:09:01Speaker 2: the screen like this, and I was like, too old
- 1:09:04Speaker 2: for a bedtime story? Like my mom read me bedtime
- 1:09:07Speaker 2: stories before one of my exams in high school. Like
- 1:09:11Speaker 2: because sometimes you just want to hear your parents read
- 1:09:14Speaker 2: a story. Like so, yeah, that really pissed me off.
- 1:09:20Speaker 2: Like I know he's going to be in the next
- 1:09:22Speaker 2: couple episodes because he seen him in the trailer like
- 1:09:24Speaker 2: talking to Fern's mom and everything, but like, I'm really
- 1:09:28Speaker 2: not looking like I hope he turns around too, as
- 1:09:31Speaker 2: like a okay, hey, like maybe I should spend four
- 1:09:34Speaker 2: time with my son.
- 1:09:37Speaker 3: Because I see that'll be well. This is one thing
- 1:09:43Speaker 3: that I have a problem with, and it's not just
- 1:09:47Speaker 3: with Star Wars, but it is happening in a lot
- 1:09:53Speaker 3: of movies and TV shows. Whenever there is a h
- 1:10:00Speaker 3: family of colors, of the parents is missing or it
- 1:10:10Speaker 3: is never a full uh POC family, it is you know,
- 1:10:19Speaker 3: there always has to be a white mother or a
- 1:10:22Speaker 3: white father, and it's just like, what's so scary about
- 1:10:27Speaker 3: a whole entire family being black? You know, That's my
- 1:10:30Speaker 3: issue that I have in a lot of these shows.
- 1:10:34Speaker 3: And so I hope that there is a mention of
- 1:10:37Speaker 3: the mother and that she is just like on a
- 1:10:39Speaker 3: business trip somewhere and that we will see her soon.
- 1:10:42Speaker 2: But a looks like she's gone.
- 1:10:47Speaker 3: Is that what?
- 1:10:48Speaker 2: Because Wim says, will you read me a bedtime story
- 1:10:51Speaker 2: like mom used to. I didn't catch that, Yeah, and
- 1:10:56Speaker 2: so it sounds like she passed away.
- 1:11:03Speaker 3: So disappointing.
- 1:11:04Speaker 2: Yeah, it really is because it would have been interesting
- 1:11:09Speaker 2: to see you that dynamic and see how she would
- 1:11:15Speaker 2: feed the imagination.
- 1:11:18Speaker 3: But I don't know it is what it is, yeah,
- 1:11:24Speaker 3: because again I think like you start to just pile
- 1:11:31Speaker 3: up all of these stereotypes, like I think it's twenty
- 1:11:36Speaker 3: twenty four, almost twenty twenty five people. It would be
- 1:11:40Speaker 3: nice to see a fully functioning family.
- 1:11:43Speaker 2: M M.
- 1:11:45Speaker 3: I don't know. That's just something that I want maybe,
- 1:11:48Speaker 3: but yeah, trying to think if there's anything else. Oh
- 1:11:55Speaker 3: mentioned him only slightly smee.
- 1:11:59Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 1:12:00Speaker 3: Android is very quirky, very awesome, And it's like the
- 1:12:10Speaker 3: scene that they have with me to like really show
- 1:12:14Speaker 3: on a kid's scale, like how massive the universe is.
- 1:12:20Speaker 3: When they're like, oh, just turn around and go back
- 1:12:22Speaker 3: to where we were, and he turns the ship around,
- 1:12:25Speaker 3: He's like okay, guys, which one is it? And then
- 1:12:27Speaker 3: you just see all of these stars absolutely terrifying.
- 1:12:34Speaker 2: Yeah, it was really good play with the cinematography to
- 1:12:39Speaker 2: do it that way, because like you always like go
- 1:12:41Speaker 2: like okay, which one is it? And you picture like
- 1:12:45Speaker 2: the kind of sweeping arm, like which one is it?
- 1:12:49Speaker 2: So I liked the play to just not do that
- 1:12:53Speaker 2: but then show all the stars around.
- 1:12:55Speaker 3: Yeah, very very fun. And the fact that he just
- 1:13:01Speaker 3: immediately uh goes with the fact that Fern is his
- 1:13:06Speaker 3: new captain. Okay, you killed my captain, then you are
- 1:13:10Speaker 3: the new captain. And then when you know they're surrounded,
- 1:13:16Speaker 3: do not lay a hand on my captain. And then
- 1:13:20Speaker 3: he starts to freaking beat up everyone. Yes, that was
- 1:13:25Speaker 3: a black We enjoy him. Yeah.
- 1:13:28Speaker 2: Nick Frost does an incredible job voicing him. I don't
- 1:13:33Speaker 2: know if he's playing him. I think somebody else is
- 1:13:35Speaker 2: playing him, but uh, he really does a fantastic job
- 1:13:40Speaker 2: with the voice and kind of catching. I will be
- 1:13:43Speaker 2: interested to see if we find out how old the
- 1:13:46Speaker 2: ship is. How old do you think the ship is?
- 1:13:49Speaker 5: And this should be our final ad break, So y'all
- 1:13:53Speaker 5: thanks for bearing with us.
- 1:13:54Speaker 2: We appreciate y'all. We'll be right back. It's definitely a
- 1:13:59Speaker 2: pirate ship.
- 1:14:00Speaker 3: It's definitely a pirate ship, you know, even when like
- 1:14:04Speaker 3: in his like euphoria of being off of at Aten. Oh,
- 1:14:10Speaker 3: I think they died in a duel like he was
- 1:14:13Speaker 3: so happy to see dead people. Uh I, I'm going
- 1:14:22Speaker 3: to suggest that it is quite possibly. Uh oh, well
- 1:14:31Speaker 3: this is what uh Adrian, we were literally talking about
- 1:14:35Speaker 3: this earlier. Adrian is in the in the YouTube chat
- 1:14:38Speaker 3: saying do you think at Aten has a pseudo occlusion
- 1:14:42Speaker 3: zone via some early storm seed tech? Sorry if you
- 1:14:47Speaker 3: already talked about that, uh No, I like, we're totally
- 1:14:51Speaker 3: down with saying it again, because again, I will even
- 1:14:54Speaker 3: go as far as it is quite possible that since
- 1:15:00Speaker 3: even Smee doesn't have any recollection on his last location,
- 1:15:08Speaker 3: this ship might be even as old as the High Republic.
- 1:15:13Speaker 2: I could concur and actually I'm going I would say
- 1:15:18Speaker 2: the early storm seat tech good probability. I'm kind of
- 1:15:22Speaker 2: as I think about it more, I'm almost like, was
- 1:15:26Speaker 2: this the families of the Nihill kind of being punished
- 1:15:31Speaker 2: and like secluded and like treated like their own, like
- 1:15:36Speaker 2: how they treated other planets. But I'm going to make
- 1:15:41Speaker 2: a Young Jedi Adventures pool what if sme is the
- 1:15:45Speaker 2: pirate droid in Young Jedi Adventures.
- 1:15:55Speaker 3: I love Young Jeni Adventures, like we've talked about it
- 1:15:58Speaker 3: on this show, guys, We we love that show. I
- 1:16:02Speaker 3: like it's a show that me and Amberlin can just
- 1:16:04Speaker 3: sit down and watch. Also, I don't know, I don't know.
- 1:16:12Speaker 2: I think it would be it could have been reprogrammed
- 1:16:14Speaker 2: into being like the kid's assistant.
- 1:16:17Speaker 3: I think it would be very a very fun pool,
- 1:16:21Speaker 3: he says, the money, the way the lady talks about
- 1:16:24Speaker 3: the Republic, the aesthetic that matches up with the halcyon
- 1:16:28Speaker 3: all of them.
- 1:16:29Speaker 2: Oh yeah, that's a good point, the aesthetic very much.
- 1:16:32Speaker 3: I truly think that this was basically ripped out of
- 1:16:37Speaker 3: time in a sense with the storm seed technology and
- 1:16:44Speaker 3: just like making a pool from a freaking attack of
- 1:16:51Speaker 3: the clones. Like we had said earlier, I think that
- 1:16:56Speaker 3: either if this was something that Lina So had a
- 1:17:00Speaker 3: hand in doing, or even the Jedi Council along with her.
- 1:17:09Speaker 3: I think that the planet itself was erased from the
- 1:17:15Speaker 3: archives and he raced from history.
- 1:17:19Speaker 2: What if what if when they get back this is
- 1:17:23Speaker 2: like when they get back to I think, what if
- 1:17:30Speaker 2: the supervisor, because Ferne's mom is the under secretary or
- 1:17:37Speaker 2: under supervisor, whatever, what if the supervisor isn't ever any supervisor?
- 1:17:53Speaker 3: Row For instance, Kaiti, you literally had this conversation last week.
- 1:17:59Speaker 3: What did I say about the idea of the Jedi
- 1:18:04Speaker 3: Council letting go of Row? What did I say?
- 1:18:08Speaker 2: And they didn't let go of him. They banished him
- 1:18:14Speaker 2: to with his crew to grow on their own and Marning.
- 1:18:22Speaker 3: Okay, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no no no.
- 1:18:25Speaker 3: If you think, if you think that Marchian Roe and
- 1:18:31Speaker 3: all of the Nihil were banished to one planet and
- 1:18:34Speaker 3: then in the course of one hundred and fifty to
- 1:18:38Speaker 3: two hundred years, they were like, Hey, we're going to
- 1:18:41Speaker 3: be the perfect society of all of the galaxy. No,
- 1:18:47Speaker 3: I called bullshit. No, Now she sold me, took the
- 1:18:57Speaker 3: occlusion tech, started to freedom. He always wanted. It's I
- 1:19:03Speaker 3: am going to hate it. I hate it. I hate it.
- 1:19:06Speaker 3: I need Marcion Roe to get his I need him
- 1:19:12Speaker 3: to either be buried under the Jedi Temple chorusot or die. Now,
- 1:19:23Speaker 3: I will say, what if the person in charge of
- 1:19:37Speaker 3: at Aten.
- 1:19:39Speaker 2: Is uh?
- 1:19:42Speaker 3: Oh, shoot, I'm trying to think of the two families.
- 1:19:49Speaker 2: Uh, you're just blanking.
- 1:19:54Speaker 3: I am blanking all day to day.
- 1:19:59Speaker 2: Uh, give me a book, Give me a movie. Actually,
- 1:20:11Speaker 2: gray Lark, gray Lark?
- 1:20:13Speaker 3: What if what if it's a gray Lark? What if
- 1:20:17Speaker 3: the head of at Atten is either a gray Lark
- 1:20:22Speaker 3: or a Santeca.
- 1:20:28Speaker 2: I don't know about a Santaca because Santakas are in
- 1:20:31Speaker 2: the sequel trilogy, and the Santagas are known for passing
- 1:20:35Speaker 2: down knowledge of old things.
- 1:20:40Speaker 3: Such if yeh Santeka's we know their family is large, correct,
- 1:20:50Speaker 3: family is very large, and we've seen in the High
- 1:20:55Speaker 3: Republic that they have been willing to completely sever themselves
- 1:20:59Speaker 3: from they're family members before.
- 1:21:03Speaker 2: Yeah, in the benefits of science.
- 1:21:08Speaker 3: Yes, I think that it's a possibility. Yeah, if all
- 1:21:17Speaker 3: of these theories come to a head, I think that
- 1:21:22Speaker 3: it makes sense that is Santaka.
- 1:21:27Speaker 2: So what if because now they're making the connection to
- 1:21:32Speaker 2: Autumn and like the Mandalorian is going to get drawn
- 1:21:36Speaker 2: in and everything.
- 1:21:37Speaker 5: What if?
- 1:21:38Speaker 2: What if that's how Luke meets a Santika and start
- 1:21:45Speaker 2: their Jedi search knowledge because that Santika has the knowledge
- 1:21:50Speaker 2: that's on at and so they're able to take those
- 1:21:54Speaker 2: legends and go searching for Jedi stuff. I'm not saying
- 1:21:58Speaker 2: Skywalker's in this, but I'm saying that's.
- 1:22:00Speaker 3: Like the thank you so much for mynd for me. No,
- 1:22:08Speaker 3: I think like not in the show, but she's saying, like,
- 1:22:11Speaker 3: you know that because we've already seen c Ynicle news
- 1:22:14Speaker 3: that we didn't talk about earlier today, but Mandalorian Grogu
- 1:22:17Speaker 3: has apparently rapped filming. Yes, so in the sense of
- 1:22:23Speaker 3: you know, Feloney's other movies, Ye, to further Luke Skywalker's
- 1:22:28Speaker 3: story at Aton could play a part in those projects.
- 1:22:33Speaker 2: Yeah. So like because well, technically you already have a
- 1:22:36Speaker 2: connection to Mando because of Vain.
- 1:22:39Speaker 3: Yes, yeah, we do have the Pirates. I'm saying, like,
- 1:22:43Speaker 3: we know this.
- 1:22:44Speaker 2: Is connecting in the Mando verse. So if Santeka comes
- 1:22:47Speaker 2: out of this and goes back to civilization to see
- 1:22:50Speaker 2: his family, now he's able to go to Luke Skywalker
- 1:22:53Speaker 2: with these Jedi legends that Aughton has held from the
- 1:22:57Speaker 2: story book, which is Adrian. Next question, how do y'all
- 1:23:01Speaker 2: think WHIM has an old Jedi story book? Given Barrier,
- 1:23:05Speaker 2: I think given the technology, it makes sense if it
- 1:23:09Speaker 2: came in and it's like a heritage piece, because it's
- 1:23:13Speaker 2: like it is a pad. It is like a data pad,
- 1:23:17Speaker 2: but it's got simple buttons in everything.
- 1:23:19Speaker 3: And that was the thing that I didn't really pay
- 1:23:21Speaker 3: attention to in the sense of, like the actual stories
- 1:23:27Speaker 3: that he was reading. Do those look at all reminiscence
- 1:23:34Speaker 3: of anything that has taken place after the High Republic
- 1:23:44Speaker 3: or is it just general like Jedi.
- 1:23:47Speaker 2: Let me pull up the Star Wars explained thread Cave
- 1:23:55Speaker 2: of Shadow. There's a Sith packed his bag with everything
- 1:24:03Speaker 2: you might need and set off on an adventure. The
- 1:24:06Speaker 2: head taka forrest. I don't know where that is, the
- 1:24:12Speaker 2: paddock of a herder, No temple, tire fortress could lower
- 1:24:24Speaker 2: endo the ground. No, there's nothing specific as to where
- 1:24:32Speaker 2: those stories would come from exactly.
- 1:24:34Speaker 3: So Adrian, I would say that if this story book
- 1:24:40Speaker 3: that has this like general knowledge of Jedi stuff, it
- 1:24:45Speaker 3: could still all be related, like three prequel series, it
- 1:24:50Speaker 3: could all be High Republic related story stories, because I think.
- 1:24:55Speaker 2: The insinuation in Rebels is that there's multiple sinking Jedi temples,
- 1:25:01Speaker 2: so it's not just Rebels. I think. Yes, I have
- 1:25:04Speaker 2: to agree, it has to be oldest. Fuck. Yeah, the
- 1:25:07Speaker 2: technology just doesn't look even like prequel trilogy stuff.
- 1:25:15Speaker 3: So okay, yeah, I'm seeing the Star Wars explain now
- 1:25:22Speaker 3: the all of the.
- 1:25:24Speaker 2: Yeah I put this, I'm actually gonna have.
- 1:25:27Speaker 3: To Yeah, I'm gonna have to really sit down and
- 1:25:29Speaker 3: read all of these in depths to just kine from it.
- 1:25:33Speaker 2: I'm so impressed with Alex that he fucking translated all
- 1:25:37Speaker 2: that stuff. I know that you can and everything. I'm
- 1:25:40Speaker 2: still so fucking impressed.
- 1:25:44Speaker 3: It's just well. And then Taylor from our our Star
- 1:25:49Speaker 3: Wars Alliance chat and of course here on Giek verse,
- 1:25:53Speaker 3: was like, why aren't these people like translating like old
- 1:25:58Speaker 3: knowledge from our world and like bringing back history from
- 1:26:02Speaker 3: stuff that has been lost for centuries.
- 1:26:06Speaker 2: Look, Taylor, we don't judge, but.
- 1:26:10Speaker 3: I love all of the tinfoil hat stuff, said Adrian said.
- 1:26:18Speaker 2: I was going to translate it, but I knew he
- 1:26:19Speaker 2: would beat me to it since he saw it early on.
- 1:26:23Speaker 3: I love all the tinfoil hat stuff. I really do
- 1:26:28Speaker 3: hope at least one of us gets something right with this.
- 1:26:33Speaker 3: I don't think that this is all just coincidental. Stuff
- 1:26:38Speaker 3: like the barrier sounds way too familiar to the storm
- 1:26:44Speaker 3: Wall and everything else, and.
- 1:26:47Speaker 2: Especially going back to legends with the Siege of not
- 1:26:52Speaker 2: the Siege of Carel the Civil War with Karelia, because
- 1:26:55Speaker 2: Carelia did something very similar to the storm Wall, but
- 1:26:58Speaker 2: the barrier seems more like like what what Corellia was doing. Yeah,
- 1:27:07Speaker 2: because it was more system and everything. I'm so impressed Adrian.
- 1:27:14Speaker 2: Adrian is talking about how he's gonna translate some other
- 1:27:17Speaker 2: arborish from the town, and then how he has so
- 1:27:21Speaker 2: much Outlaws translated. I still need to get back into
- 1:27:24Speaker 2: playing Outlaws or I need to make Matt play it.
- 1:27:27Speaker 2: But there's also the I don't have time for that shit.
- 1:27:30Speaker 3: So but yeah, like I I genuinely, I genuinely like
- 1:27:39Speaker 3: all of these people that are doing the tinfoil hat
- 1:27:42Speaker 3: stuff even brought the idea that hey, like this could
- 1:27:46Speaker 3: be a Lena so thing, like all of this stuff.
- 1:27:49Speaker 3: Like if I were to even hear the mention of
- 1:27:51Speaker 3: a Santeka within at Aten, I would I would freak out,
- 1:27:55Speaker 3: like it's just the slightest thing or a gray lark.
- 1:27:59Speaker 3: Like I said, I'm.
- 1:28:02Speaker 2: Thinking Santica is more likely just because of the Santecha
- 1:28:08Speaker 2: and the sequel trilogy.
- 1:28:10Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 1:28:11Speaker 2: I also don't I really think we got to see
- 1:28:14Speaker 2: the supervisor because of the starship being there. Like, I
- 1:28:17Speaker 2: don't think Fern's mom has the authority to like handle
- 1:28:22Speaker 2: a search at that point because we know the parents
- 1:28:25Speaker 2: are going to figure it out and get to searching.
- 1:28:29Speaker 2: So yeah, I'll be interested to see, he says. Y'all
- 1:28:39Speaker 2: know I don't do a lot a whole lot of speculationlation.
- 1:28:44Speaker 3: Yeah, exactly, and uh yeah. So Also, Adrian, I know
- 1:28:50Speaker 3: that you are just blowing up the YouTube chat right now,
- 1:28:53Speaker 3: but brother, you are always welcome to jump on and
- 1:28:57Speaker 3: talk with us. So if you want to jump on
- 1:28:59Speaker 3: for for Skeleton Crew episodes three through eight, just just
- 1:29:04Speaker 3: let us know. We will totally be down with joining
- 1:29:07Speaker 3: with having you join us.
- 1:29:11Speaker 2: I have one more question for Adrian if you're still listening.
- 1:29:14Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, he's down for next week. Cool.
- 1:29:18Speaker 2: So do you think that Jude Law's character is a plant?
- 1:29:24Speaker 2: Because why would he take the key? Uh?
- 1:29:27Speaker 3: Yeah, So, so you you bring that up, I think
- 1:29:32Speaker 3: that it is very plausible because one thing for sure
- 1:29:40Speaker 3: is we're assuming that Jude Law is the captain that
- 1:29:46Speaker 3: was captured for mutiny in the very beginning of this show.
- 1:29:49Speaker 2: Correct, Yes, that is the assumption.
- 1:29:51Speaker 3: That is the assumption. So I'm going to assume that
- 1:29:55Speaker 3: he is wanting to be in good races with his
- 1:30:00Speaker 3: his old crew and he wants them back under him.
- 1:30:06Speaker 3: So I think that he is going to possibly turn.
- 1:30:12Speaker 3: Even if if he turns, we get the validation. But
- 1:30:16Speaker 3: I know, because it is aimed towards kids and all
- 1:30:19Speaker 3: of these other things, that there will be a time
- 1:30:21Speaker 3: where he's like, yeah, but I do want to help
- 1:30:25Speaker 3: these kids out, and then he's gonna help the kids. Yeah,
- 1:30:29Speaker 3: Adrian does say here real quick that I think that
- 1:30:34Speaker 3: he is a Jedi who saw kids in need same
- 1:30:37Speaker 3: way the Lady of the Night did. At least that's
- 1:30:40Speaker 3: what I hope.
- 1:30:42Speaker 2: Because because my thing is is that he's probably going
- 1:30:48Speaker 2: to still help them, and he's probably not like he's
- 1:30:51Speaker 2: going to help them protect their planet from the pirates
- 1:30:54Speaker 2: at the end of this fuck the aim towards kids
- 1:30:59Speaker 2: tell others a little propelan Star Wars, I'm not wrong.
- 1:31:08Speaker 2: So I think he's ultimately going to help them protect
- 1:31:11Speaker 2: their planet because he's going to fall in love with
- 1:31:14Speaker 2: them and want to protect the kids and everything. But
- 1:31:16Speaker 2: I think at this point he's a plant by the
- 1:31:20Speaker 2: pirates as like a hey, we're gonna, like I said
- 1:31:22Speaker 2: at beginning, we're gonna throw these kids in the cell
- 1:31:24Speaker 2: with you. They say they're from this lost planet of treasure,
- 1:31:29Speaker 2: like help us find it. You're back in. So that's
- 1:31:34Speaker 2: that's my thing.
- 1:31:35Speaker 3: Yeah, I am willing to go along with that, because
- 1:31:39Speaker 3: that does sound sensible to the idea that if he
- 1:31:43Speaker 3: was a foreign sensitive individual, why didn't he grab the
- 1:31:47Speaker 3: key before the kids were even in there? So yeah,
- 1:31:53Speaker 3: and if he is a fallen Jedi, he will find
- 1:31:57Speaker 3: himself with the you know, I think there will be
- 1:32:01Speaker 3: a moment where women it's like, hey, why are you
- 1:32:04Speaker 3: so down in the dumps? Like, you know, Jedi are
- 1:32:07Speaker 3: all these great individuals, and you know, hype them up,
- 1:32:10Speaker 3: and that's when he'll be like, you're right, kid, I
- 1:32:13Speaker 3: am awesome, and then he'll do some really cool four stuff.
- 1:32:16Speaker 2: Yep. Sorry, my entire screen just went black, and I
- 1:32:19Speaker 2: was trying to figure out what was going on if
- 1:32:24Speaker 2: anybody was like, what the fuck is she doing with
- 1:32:26Speaker 2: her face? Like Adrian says, I agree, Katie fall and
- 1:32:32Speaker 2: Jedi who will find himself through the kids because why
- 1:32:34Speaker 2: didn't he cut himself off from the force of girls time?
- 1:32:37Speaker 3: Yep.
- 1:32:38Speaker 2: One. I was also going to look, we see if
- 1:32:41Speaker 2: this will nope, Okay, it's totally Disney Plus's fault. Then
- 1:32:44Speaker 2: my screen is going black because I'm trying to play
- 1:32:47Speaker 2: the episode so I can see the credits, and it
- 1:32:51Speaker 2: is like, no, you can't do that.
- 1:32:53Speaker 3: Oh you're not trying to ream it onto streamyard, are you?
- 1:32:59Speaker 2: No?
- 1:33:00Speaker 3: I was not okay because it also like, but your
- 1:33:05Speaker 3: camera is also going out, So if you completely freeze
- 1:33:10Speaker 3: and die here, then.
- 1:33:11Speaker 2: I did it dumb. So I think I'm gonna have
- 1:33:13Speaker 2: to exit and come back.
- 1:33:18Speaker 3: Well, while you were doing that, I will get closer
- 1:33:21Speaker 3: to the credits, so that way when you come back,
- 1:33:24Speaker 3: you can definitely a uh, what is this doing?
- 1:33:33Speaker 2: Are we gonna have to shut down the whole piece?
- 1:33:37Speaker 3: I hope not. I can kick you out and then yeah,
- 1:33:41Speaker 3: kick me out, all right, now she's gone. It's my
- 1:33:47Speaker 3: show now. No, but uh, I genuinely love this show.
- 1:33:56Speaker 3: It was a very nice surprise. I liked it a
- 1:33:59Speaker 3: lot more then I thought I would. Adrian asked, do
- 1:34:05Speaker 3: you think he will take any of them as a padawan,
- 1:34:08Speaker 3: specifically Whim. So, Adrian, that's a very interesting question because
- 1:34:15Speaker 3: there was a theory out there, and I told Katie
- 1:34:22Speaker 3: that some of these people need to calm the hell
- 1:34:24Speaker 3: down when it comes to these theories that Atten is
- 1:34:30Speaker 3: actually a safe haven for high count Medichlorian individuals, and
- 1:34:39Speaker 3: so specifically Whim might actually have the capabilities of becoming
- 1:34:45Speaker 3: a future Jedi just like he wishes, and I'm like, guys,
- 1:34:49Speaker 3: calm down, Like having a full planet full of Jedi
- 1:34:53Speaker 3: potential Jedi. I don't know if I necessarily love that idea,
- 1:34:58Speaker 3: but it would technically secure a like future for the
- 1:35:04Speaker 3: Jedi that we would be getting within the Race Skywalker stuff.
- 1:35:13Speaker 3: So that is why I kind of agree and disagree
- 1:35:19Speaker 3: with the idea of the entire planet being full of
- 1:35:26Speaker 3: Midichlorian high counted individuals high I'm back, eighty is back.
- 1:35:33Speaker 3: I am. At the credits, Adrian is also saying I
- 1:35:37Speaker 3: can see the vision, especially with the Nameless protecting them
- 1:35:43Speaker 3: during the High Republic. Oh so that's interesting. That's a
- 1:35:48Speaker 3: good theory, like saying, hey, expected from.
- 1:35:51Speaker 2: The Blight and like maybe using the stormwall technology that way.
- 1:35:54Speaker 3: Oh yeah, like hey, like because you know, spoilers for
- 1:36:00Speaker 3: the nearest book that came out, you know it is
- 1:36:03Speaker 3: way past uh and we can now talk about it
- 1:36:06Speaker 3: of course. Uh and then also uh well actually hold on,
- 1:36:14Speaker 3: it's the fourth it just came out. Uh uh uh
- 1:36:18Speaker 3: uh Baker Tempest Breaker just came out, So a little
- 1:36:23Speaker 3: spoilers for that. You know, The Blight cure esque is
- 1:36:29Speaker 3: not necessarily a blight cure, and there's still kind of
- 1:36:32Speaker 3: this scare on if they will ever come to a
- 1:36:36Speaker 3: Oh sorry, Adrian, Oh well, I apologize, Adrian. I will
- 1:36:42Speaker 3: give no other context to that, but there is a
- 1:36:47Speaker 3: play on.
- 1:36:48Speaker 2: We'll listen to our review from last week.
- 1:36:51Speaker 3: Yes, there is a lot of play with the idea
- 1:36:55Speaker 3: of you know, this hopeless blight so uh yeah, yeah,
- 1:37:06Speaker 3: so just with the idea of protecting the blight, you
- 1:37:13Speaker 3: should be good to go, Adrian, just with the idea
- 1:37:17Speaker 3: of protecting the future Jedi from the High Republican saying, hey,
- 1:37:27Speaker 3: you know, things are kind of getting crazy. We don't
- 1:37:29Speaker 3: know if there's an end to this. Let's throw them
- 1:37:32Speaker 3: on this planet. That I do like that. I have
- 1:37:35Speaker 3: a really fun like idea of like, Okay, we're gonna
- 1:37:41Speaker 3: do all this, but then Jedi become domesticated m hm,
- 1:37:47Speaker 3: and you get at I think that's a really fun
- 1:37:51Speaker 3: play on how society evolves.
- 1:37:54Speaker 2: You don't Jedi is the Jedi?
- 1:37:58Speaker 3: Yeah, I could actually see that happening, Like the treasure
- 1:38:02Speaker 3: is the fact that like these lost beings are are
- 1:38:08Speaker 3: here all along mhm.
- 1:38:11Speaker 2: Totally see that.
- 1:38:13Speaker 3: Gives Ray a new Jedi order, correct, And who is
- 1:38:17Speaker 3: loyal to the Republic eventually. Yeah, I think that is.
- 1:38:22Speaker 3: I think that is also something that could be very plausible.
- 1:38:27Speaker 3: So love all of the Tinfall has stuff. But so, Katie,
- 1:38:30Speaker 3: you said you were looking at the credit I was
- 1:38:34Speaker 3: trying to look at.
- 1:38:35Speaker 2: The credits to see who voiced the captain.
- 1:38:40Speaker 3: Ooh, so I guess it would be because I'm I thought.
- 1:38:44Speaker 2: It was Jude Law. But if somebody else voiced him,
- 1:38:47Speaker 2: then maybe it wasn't the captain.
- 1:38:51Speaker 3: Let's see if they like by an order of appearance
- 1:38:58Speaker 3: or whatever type of thing, Uh, merchant captain.
- 1:39:07Speaker 2: Yeah, oh no, not merchant captain.
- 1:39:11Speaker 3: Okay, then it would be oh, that's weird kids smee
- 1:39:28Speaker 3: unit director. Oh wow, No it's not there.
- 1:39:33Speaker 2: So yeah, I would say he's probably the voice by
- 1:39:36Speaker 2: Jude Law, and that's Jude Law's character, is the captain?
- 1:39:39Speaker 3: Yeah, I think so too.
- 1:39:45Speaker 2: Yeah, Adrian agrees, Yeah, trying.
- 1:39:51Speaker 3: To pull a fast one on us. Nope, I don't
- 1:39:54Speaker 3: think so. It is definitely Jude Law in that very
- 1:39:58Speaker 3: first opening scene m because if not, yeah, exactly exactly.
- 1:40:08Speaker 3: But I think that is it for our conversation of
- 1:40:12Speaker 3: the first two episodes of Skeleton Crew before we do
- 1:40:19Speaker 3: our regular rambling of all of our plugins. I want
- 1:40:24Speaker 3: to go ahead and remind you, guys, this is a
- 1:40:28Speaker 3: new show. We want to hear your reactions, your thoughts,

- 1:41:15Speaker 3: feel about the show. How do you feel about R
- 1:41:17Speaker 3: ten foil hat theories? Uh? In all of that jazz?
- 1:41:22Speaker 3: Eight three zero five three eight four eight two eight.

- 1:41:43Speaker 3: dot com.
- 1:41:45Speaker 2: Yes, I almost corrected you on the worst part, but
- 1:41:49Speaker 2: then I was like, wait.
- 1:41:50Speaker 3: No, exactly exactly, we don't have an A in Wars.
- 1:41:55Speaker 3: That's the whole ad.
- 1:41:57Speaker 2: Come on now, no, don't forget it.
- 1:42:00Speaker 3: No now, guys, thank you so much for being here
- 1:42:08Speaker 3: with us, Adrian, thank you so much. We are so
- 1:42:10Speaker 3: excited to talk to you next week about.
- 1:42:16Speaker 2: Always glad to have people in the chat.
- 1:42:18Speaker 3: Yes, of course. As for me, you can always find
- 1:42:23Speaker 3: me at fanboy Clay on any and all social media.
- 1:42:28Speaker 3: But to be honest, we're seeing uh, some of our
- 1:42:31Speaker 3: other folks over at the gua kind of starting to
- 1:42:34Speaker 3: make the same decision feeling a little less on the
- 1:42:38Speaker 3: Twitter jump into the Blue Sky, posting a lot more
- 1:42:42Speaker 3: on there, so if you want to follow me there,
- 1:42:45Speaker 3: I'm doing a lot more of comic book stuff just
- 1:42:51Speaker 3: because that is what my job entails. So if you
- 1:42:54Speaker 3: would like to follow me for that, and I also,
- 1:42:57Speaker 3: you know, just talk all about NERDM stuff, So go
- 1:43:00Speaker 3: follow me there, have fun conversations, and I'll be posting
- 1:43:06Speaker 3: a lot of the Star Wars Alliance tweets on there
- 1:43:09Speaker 3: as well, so go follow me there. Of course, I
- 1:43:15Speaker 3: am also a part of Ranger Alliance at the Gee
- 1:43:19Speaker 3: Golden Alliance Network. Jake and I should be recording fairly
- 1:43:25Speaker 3: soon actually, to add to our new revamp that we
- 1:43:31Speaker 3: are starting. I'll give a little hint there. I haven't
- 1:43:34Speaker 3: said it yet, but now I did a little revamp
- 1:43:36Speaker 3: starting in January. Won't tell you what it is, but
- 1:43:40Speaker 3: there is still comic content coming out in the month
- 1:43:44Speaker 3: of July, so be on the lookoup for that. But yeah,
- 1:43:47Speaker 3: January is going to be a revamp for the Ranger
- 1:43:49Speaker 3: Alliance podcast and it's going to be very, very fun.
- 1:43:52Speaker 3: Hope you guys all enjoy it. But Katie, what about you, y'all?
- 1:43:57Speaker 2: You can find me on most social media platforms at
- 1:44:00Speaker 2: Place of Katie. I don't do a lot of like
- 1:44:03Speaker 2: social media in so yeah, but I will still if
- 1:44:09Speaker 2: you send me something like Adrian just gave us a
- 1:44:12Speaker 2: shut up on the Twitter verse. We greatly appreciate Adrian.
- 1:44:15Speaker 2: We love being Yes, so uh at Slice of Katie's
- 1:44:20Speaker 2: where you can find me. Clay already did the Star
- 1:44:25Speaker 2: Wars Liance stuff, so I don't have to do that.
- 1:44:27Speaker 2: But we did have one more person pop up in
- 1:44:30Speaker 2: the chat and we will close out with this no
- 1:44:31Speaker 2: matter what Lucasfilm puts out right now, people still going
- 1:44:34Speaker 2: to be negative. You can choose to be negative, but
- 1:44:39Speaker 2: as long as you do it with positive attitude, there
- 1:44:43Speaker 2: ain't no such thing as being negative. You can have critiques,
- 1:44:46Speaker 2: just don't be an asshole. That's what we have to say.
- 1:44:49Speaker 2: And we aim to be a positive light here on
- 1:44:52Speaker 2: the YouTube and the podcast feeds, no matter what other
- 1:44:57Speaker 2: people in this world want to be. So with that, y'all,
- 1:45:01Speaker 2: I want to wish everyone a great day or night,
- 1:45:03Speaker 2: whatever day or whatever time of day you are listening
- 1:45:07Speaker 2: or watching, and we will see y'all next time. May
- 1:45:09Speaker 2: the borcet to be with you.
