- 1:02[SPEAKER_01]: Including California.

- 1:09[SPEAKER_01]: And when you play $5, you get $50 in line up instantly.
- 1:12[SPEAKER_01]: If we have some time, we'll do a lineup today.
- 1:14[SPEAKER_01]: Johnny, good to see you.
- 1:15[SPEAKER_01]: How are you?
- 1:17[SPEAKER_00]: Man, I am awesome.
- 1:18[SPEAKER_00]: I feel like
- 1:20[SPEAKER_00]: The entire offseason this year, the vibes are just awesome.
- 1:25[SPEAKER_00]: I remember last year, we were trying to project like the 53 man roster and we do like a roster countdown series every year, one through 91.
- 1:33[SPEAKER_00]: And it was just, it was boring.
- 1:36[SPEAKER_00]: There wasn't really a lot of competition or projection or man, like who's going to fill out the wide receiver room.
- 1:43[SPEAKER_00]: We knew last year this year.
- 1:47[SPEAKER_00]: It's much different and so there's a lot to discuss and break down and I feel like so far I know we're still early in the off season or the quote unquote dead period, but I'm having a trouble getting all the content out Whereas last year was all right.
- 2:02[SPEAKER_00]: What do we want to do next?
- 2:03[SPEAKER_00]: Let's try to create something new.
- 2:05[SPEAKER_00]: No, no, there's none of that there's so much to talk about so pumped to be on here with you Larry
- 2:10[SPEAKER_01]: Well, you know, it's funny.
- 2:11[SPEAKER_01]: When you do content creation around a team like the Niners for the whole year, the leanest part of the year definitely is after the draft, but before training camp.
- 2:20[SPEAKER_01]: But you know, I really kind of pride myself on trying to find something new to talk about every day and not being repetitive over and over and over again, it gets a little repetitive into and around the draft because of that's kind of the nature of that, but today there was a great article that I think is kind of plowed new ground, if you will.
- 2:41[SPEAKER_01]: on the 49ers and that is in the athletic from our good friend Matt Barrow's who's got an article up right now where he talked to a 49er vice president, a player personnel to wreak a mod and kind of just look back at the draft and very interesting piece and we're going to talk all about it but you know the Niners, one of the things that I thought was kind of interesting we both noticed
- 3:10[SPEAKER_01]: got a little glimpse into kind of their their their their process.
- 3:17[SPEAKER_01]: You know, we got a little bit of a glimpse into it when when couching hand went on with Rich Eisen, but you know, a lot of people really didn't like that when they heard that because I like what a second.
- 3:27[SPEAKER_01]: The coaches make scout make high that
- 3:38[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, it's, it's, I was, you know, the rich eyes and interview was incredible.
- 3:44[SPEAKER_00]: One, because Kyle opened up a lot more than he does and interviews and press conferences normally.
- 3:49[SPEAKER_00]: Rich eyes is a freaking man, so like I get it.
- 3:52[SPEAKER_00]: But the biggest takeaway I had was really the first time you see a prospect Kyle Shanahan is when an assistant position coach brings you a highlight real, not the scouts, not the GMs, not any of that stuff.
- 4:05[SPEAKER_00]: Well,
- 4:07[SPEAKER_00]: And the conversation with Matt Barrows today on the athletic, again, great article, amazing job by Barrows always.
- 4:12[SPEAKER_00]: You know, RJ Gillon talked about how there's actually three sets of tapes per prospect, the position coaches, the scouts do one, and then also RJ Gillon and the assistant general managers put one together.
- 4:23[SPEAKER_00]: So that made me feel like not that anybody cares the way Chapman feels, but
- 4:28[SPEAKER_00]: It was the first time where I was like, okay, this is a little bit more of a thorough process than what Kyle Shanahan put out there Or jices show where it's like what the hell in the scouts do I felt like it was like office space what would you say you do?
- 4:44[SPEAKER_00]: But yeah, so I liked it so immediately and that was you know in the intro part of this article I was just like oh good, okay, it is a little bit more of a sound process and that is exciting
- 4:56[SPEAKER_01]: Let's talk a little bit about some of the findings in this piece.
- 4:59[SPEAKER_01]: We'll start with the Sean Stribling, the second round pick at Ole Miss.
- 5:02[SPEAKER_01]: You know, I guess Tureka Mod said the one trait that stood out at every stop, whether it was Wazoo or Oak State.
- 5:10[SPEAKER_01]: He finally finished up at Ole Miss.
- 5:11[SPEAKER_01]: Was that Stribling has great hands.
- 5:13[SPEAKER_01]: He had nine drops in five seasons, only one drop last year.
- 5:18[SPEAKER_01]: The quote was, we felt he could really pluck the ball.
- 5:21[SPEAKER_01]: I thought he was excellent at just ripping the ball
- 5:26[SPEAKER_01]: This is great news because to me, I know he can run and I know the guy's got down the field ability.
- 5:35[SPEAKER_01]: I know he's got a quick hit ability.
- 5:38[SPEAKER_01]: The question I would have is could he catch through, you know, contested catches through a lot of contact and it sounds like that's what they like the most about him is that he's got big 10-inch hands.
- 5:50[SPEAKER_01]: They're not just big hands
- 5:54[SPEAKER_00]: My, I don't want to say my favorite thing, but definitely one of my favorite things about the Sean Stripling and watching the tape like we graded over 40 wide receivers before the draft process went through ranked all of those.
- 6:07[SPEAKER_00]: I did not have to Sean Stripling.
- 6:10[SPEAKER_00]: anywhere near the number 33 overall player.
- 6:14[SPEAKER_00]: But he was one of our rush crushes, which we do this for 13 players every single year, that are just like my favorite guys.
- 6:21[SPEAKER_00]: That it's not so much about where they're going to go or whatever.
- 6:24[SPEAKER_00]: Just you don't have to worry about him.
- 6:26[SPEAKER_00]: And Deshawn Stribbling was one.
- 6:28[SPEAKER_00]: And you just you saw it in three separate schemes, three separate divisions, three separate teams,
- 6:35[SPEAKER_00]: where the dude just has natural past catching hands.
- 6:39[SPEAKER_00]: And one of our things whenever we're watching wide receivers or even tight ends and even running backs is how you receive the football.
- 6:46[SPEAKER_00]: That catchers triangle, do you alligator arm it or do you go out and extend?
- 6:51[SPEAKER_00]: Can you catch through contact?
- 6:53[SPEAKER_00]: and I'm glad that you brought up the tin plus inch hands.
- 6:57[SPEAKER_00]: This do plucks and he goes and high points it consistently which, you know, his body, that's huge that it comes through.
- 7:05[SPEAKER_00]: It's six, you know, six, three, two, ten, he's got the size, he's got all those things.
- 7:11[SPEAKER_00]: And whenever you look at
- 7:14[SPEAKER_00]: was slow.
- 7:15[SPEAKER_00]: It didn't have the change of pace.
- 7:17[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I could block like a behemoth, but the hands while they were good and contested situations, you look into Juan Jennings, whether as time at Tennessee before he was drafted or even with the 49ers, his drop rate has always been high.
- 7:30[SPEAKER_00]: really, really has.
- 7:31[SPEAKER_00]: It's so that the two issues which Juan Jennings was, he can't stretch the field vertically.
- 7:36[SPEAKER_00]: He just never had the speed for that.
- 7:38[SPEAKER_00]: And he, I think it was second in the NFL on interceptions when targeted.
- 7:42[SPEAKER_00]: And that was with Matt Jones and Brock Perti because a lot of the balls kind of deflect off of his hands drops were an issue.
- 7:48[SPEAKER_00]: So you're looking at the two biggest issues with why Juan Jennings was not a quote unquote elite wide receiver.
- 7:56[SPEAKER_00]: speed to Sean Stripley runs a four three hands to Sean Stripley and one of the best drop rates in this entire draft class.
- 8:02[SPEAKER_00]: So you're you're looking at the same body style.
- 8:06[SPEAKER_00]: But the inefficiencies that Joanne Jenny's brought to the table to Sean Stripley has got to A plus and both those categories speed and hands.
- 8:13[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 8:15[SPEAKER_01]: Um, so he's got run after the catchability.
- 8:17[SPEAKER_01]: He also has blocking capability.
- 8:20[SPEAKER_01]: So, you know, I definitely think, you know, if looking at that pick, at least from afar, um, it appears to be a really, really good, you know, option there for the 49ers.
- 8:31[SPEAKER_01]: Now, I thought this piece was also really good.
- 8:34[SPEAKER_01]: The next guy, they went got into Ramello height.
- 8:36[SPEAKER_01]: And just how much we know about Chris Kassaric and how much he's a big Texas tech guy.
- 8:41[SPEAKER_01]: I knew there was no chance
- 8:44[SPEAKER_01]: that Chris Kassaric drafted the wrong guy on their front that he knows that thing like the back of his hand and sure enough, I guess one of the things that impressed the Niners about Ramello height was the motor, you know, that that his motor just, you know, a Tureka mod says he does not stop.
- 9:01[SPEAKER_01]: It's incredible watching him strain.
- 9:03[SPEAKER_01]: It's one of the many things that I absolutely loved about his tape.
- 9:07[SPEAKER_01]: They were, he was their favorite.
- 9:09[SPEAKER_01]: He says, I thought the Combine interview was awesome.
- 9:12[SPEAKER_01]: I fell in love with him at the Combine, he's serious.
- 9:14[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, you could see how much passion he has.
- 9:17[SPEAKER_01]: He comes on a 30 visit, it's the same thing.
- 9:20[SPEAKER_01]: He just loves football.
- 9:22[SPEAKER_01]: And, you know, he mentioned that, you know,
- 9:26[SPEAKER_01]: Texas Tech had David Bailey, they have Lee Hunter, they had other guys.
- 9:29[SPEAKER_01]: But according to their reports, it was Ramello Hight, who is the Alpha of the group.
- 9:34[SPEAKER_01]: He says, we talked to teammates of his, he was the guy they'd want to bring with them.
- 9:39[SPEAKER_01]: He was the guy they believed in.
- 9:41[SPEAKER_01]: It's exciting that everything Texas Tech told us about his passion.
- 9:45[SPEAKER_01]: We've seen out here the last few weeks on the
- 9:53[SPEAKER_01]: the non-viewable traits of Ramello height or some of the things that they love the most.
- 10:01[SPEAKER_00]: And it shows, you know, I watched so much Texas Tech take this year and I hate that I'm a long-horned guy, but like that defense was just stacked every single player that played on the defensive line got drafted and you know you're watching David Bailey the number two overall pick and the whole time you're watching David Bailey what she's incredible you're like who the hell is this guy that's half a yard up the field every single snap on past rush.
- 10:25[SPEAKER_00]: like he is always consistently there.
- 10:27[SPEAKER_00]: And it was Ramello height.
- 10:29[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, we did a show.
- 10:31[SPEAKER_00]: I think it was two weeks before the draft 10 players that the 49ers will draft.
- 10:36[SPEAKER_00]: We nailed to Sean strippling.
- 10:37[SPEAKER_00]: We got Ramello height.
- 10:39[SPEAKER_00]: Didn't get either one of them were the 49ers were projected.
- 10:43[SPEAKER_00]: I had them get Ramello height the second and then trading up into the third to get to Sean.
- 10:47[SPEAKER_00]: Well, different approach, but they still got there.
- 10:51[SPEAKER_00]: And whenever you watch Ramello, this was the biggest glaring weakness.
- 10:57[SPEAKER_00]: I think on the entire 49ers roster with this lack of this speed bend edge presence in the defensive end room.
- 11:04[SPEAKER_00]: You just did not have it.
- 11:06[SPEAKER_00]: The defensive end room for the 49ers is strong, but Nick Bosa, I mean, you're talking about
- 11:17[SPEAKER_00]: You didn't have this smaller speed demon burst guy and now you do and you've seen that and one of the pieces that I really really liked in this map arrows article was just how they loved how all the teammates because again,
- 11:36[SPEAKER_00]: all of the teammates and coaches spoke so highly of them and you saw some of that whatever you interview them and they're like you saw some of the questions come across and it was just like oh yeah this is dude you want to go to war with this is a guy that you want to fight with so the fit the pairing the need all of that just seemed to just sync up you know we did a competition for everybody got five guesses to pick who the
- 12:00[SPEAKER_00]: We had like 80 submissions.
- 12:02[SPEAKER_00]: Nobody got more than one right.
- 12:04[SPEAKER_00]: And the only one that everybody got right was Ramelahite, that was the only one that was submitted in any of our competitions.
- 12:11[SPEAKER_00]: So shout out to Ramelahite.
- 12:13[SPEAKER_00]: This was the one somewhat predictable match or pairing that the Ford Air has walked away from.
- 12:19[SPEAKER_00]: But yeah, he's a fun player.
- 12:20[SPEAKER_00]: And I think he's gonna have probably the largest rookie impact of this entire rookie draft class for the 49ers.
- 12:25[SPEAKER_01]: you know he's he I'll say this when you talk to him you can see the guys just really really fired up and on the practice field he's really dialed in he led the way and in the minicamp the rookie minicamp he looked he looked like a veteran who was kind of showing everybody else how to do it
- 12:43[SPEAKER_01]: Let's talk about K-Lun Black because he also was mentioned in this article and it's funny the guy played 41 snaps in the national championship game January 19th and yet he still showed up the senior bowl the very next week for the practices and to recommoads as I think he won to prove something.
- 13:02[SPEAKER_01]: He won to prove that he could be a real NFL running back and I thought it was tremendous
- 13:12[SPEAKER_01]: uh... in the end of strength coach said black was one of his favorite players he's ever coached the nine is also thought he was the best peer runner in this year's draft class one of i should say the vision the reactions the way finishes runs the contact balance uh... so they'll just love the way he ran the ball
- 13:32[SPEAKER_01]: Um, K-Lon Black, you know, it's funny.
- 13:34[SPEAKER_01]: I, this was a guy that, this was the pick that made a lot of people crazy.
- 13:38[SPEAKER_01]: And yet, you know, when I heard the name, I just loved it because this was a player that I really did love throughout the process.
- 13:45[SPEAKER_01]: He's just, I think he's going to man a lot of roles.
- 13:48[SPEAKER_01]: I do know that other guys look more impressive like on the, you know, at first glance.
- 13:54[SPEAKER_01]: But this guy is more trustworthy as a blocker, short yardage.
- 13:59[SPEAKER_01]: And trustworthiness is a huge prerequisite to get on the field that running back for this franchise with Bobby T and with Shannon and it's like you just don't get on the field if they don't trust you.
- 14:11[SPEAKER_01]: And we've seen that and that's why they're they got a slew of backs sitting around that don't run the ball.
- 14:16[SPEAKER_01]: I think they're they're going to use this kid quite a bit.
- 14:18[SPEAKER_01]: I like him on black.
- 14:19[SPEAKER_01]: I think he's definitely going to beat out James for number two.
- 14:23[SPEAKER_00]: That's, again, we were talking about, you know, this off season, that's going to be fun.
- 14:28[SPEAKER_00]: Like, like, that is huge, because Christian McCaffrey gets a lot of rest time through camping the preseason.
- 14:34[SPEAKER_00]: So we're going to find out, and I think the answer is going to be relatively obvious.
- 14:38[SPEAKER_00]: Now,
- 14:39[SPEAKER_00]: Jordan James didn't overtake Isaac Garendo.
- 14:42[SPEAKER_00]: I think it was the colds game that was the first time that they swapped on the depth chart So like it took Jordan James a good 10 weeks into the season before he earned that number two roll now Christian McAfrey state healthy or I would say number three behind Brian Robinson, but Robinson's gone now.
- 14:58[SPEAKER_00]: So that pecking order's gonna be fun to see now you brought up blocking with K-Long black that is his best
- 15:05[SPEAKER_00]: Dang that came off on tape the most consistent thing that came off on tape.
- 15:09[SPEAKER_00]: And that is one of the main reasons why running backs rookie running back to the NFL don't get playing time.
- 15:16[SPEAKER_00]: You got to get my quarterback hit.
- 15:17[SPEAKER_00]: You're going to ruin a third down or play that you know whatever.
- 15:21[SPEAKER_00]: That's a major issue.
- 15:22[SPEAKER_00]: You don't have to worry about that with him.
- 15:24[SPEAKER_00]: And he's old.
- 15:24[SPEAKER_00]: He's the oldest running back drafted this year.
- 15:28[SPEAKER_00]: Well, he's already 24.
- 15:29[SPEAKER_00]: He's going to turn 25 is rookie year, but the coaches love him.
- 15:34[SPEAKER_00]: People don't realize Kurt Signetti before he went to Indiana and, you know, one of the national ships.
- 15:39[SPEAKER_00]: He was at James Madison.
- 15:41[SPEAKER_00]: He didn't bring a lot of James Madison players with them.
- 15:43[SPEAKER_00]: But he brought K-Lon Black.
- 15:45[SPEAKER_00]: And so you're talking about one of the premier highest paid coaches and all of college football, say, this is my guy was with him for three years at James Madison brought him for two years at Indiana, trusted him.
- 15:58[SPEAKER_00]: You look at what he was able to do in the college football playoff.
- 16:01[SPEAKER_00]: And then didn't take any time off and went right to the senior building.
- 16:05[SPEAKER_00]: Only player that, you know, made it to the college football playoff and made it to the semi finals or championship and
- 16:15[SPEAKER_00]: That says a lot and the 49ers value the senior bull more than any other team in the NFL six out of eight of these draft choices.
- 16:22[SPEAKER_00]: We're all seeing your bull guys that carries a lot of wait for him.
- 16:28[SPEAKER_01]: One of the things that about the Klon black not only did he not skip it a lot of guys would, but he was that he at the end of a grind of a season where he was big throughout the college football playoffs.
- 16:41[SPEAKER_01]: He didn't just show up in mobile.
- 16:43[SPEAKER_01]: Um, he showed up and he had great power and explosiveness in his legs.
- 16:49[SPEAKER_01]: He still looked like the freshest back with how crisp his cuts were, how powerful he was moving the pile.
- 16:57[SPEAKER_01]: His first two runs in the senior boy carried the entire pile three and four yards in each carry.
- 17:02[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, he really stood out.
- 17:05[SPEAKER_01]: Um, I understand it was somewhat of a reach, but man, I'll tell you, I think it's going to want to be in a great pick.
- 17:11[SPEAKER_01]: Um, let's talk crazy and halt them.
- 17:12[SPEAKER_01]: But before we do, let's jump into our price picks lineup for today.
- 17:16[SPEAKER_01]: I've already made the lineup price picks is America's number one sports picks app and the reason I like it.
- 17:20[SPEAKER_01]: It's simple.
- 17:21[SPEAKER_01]: You're just picking more or less on play your stats or game outcomes building your lineup and you're in no complicated stuff.
- 17:26[SPEAKER_01]: Just we think it's going to happen in the game use code HMA play $5 can get $50 in lineups instantly.
- 17:32[SPEAKER_01]: The link is in the description.
- 17:35[SPEAKER_01]: All right.
- 17:35[SPEAKER_01]: This what we'll do will move us to the corner.
- 17:38[SPEAKER_01]: And we will share the screen and I'll let you see our price picks line up and then we will move over here, make sure that we get the right configuration, so we're all configured correctly, which is right there.
- 17:54[SPEAKER_01]: All right.
- 17:54[SPEAKER_01]: Now, there we go.
- 17:56[SPEAKER_01]: All right.
- 17:56[SPEAKER_01]: So this is what we're going with with our prize picks line up this week.
- 17:59[SPEAKER_01]: We did a three-pick power play.
- 18:01[SPEAKER_01]: $5 pays us 30.
- 18:02[SPEAKER_01]: We have miles Garrett with more than 14 sacks.
- 18:05[SPEAKER_01]: We're going with the season-long projections.
- 18:08[SPEAKER_01]: Puckin' to Kua less than eight receiving touchdowns and JSN less than 1324 and a half receiving yards.
- 18:16[SPEAKER_01]: If we go three for three, our $5 turns into $30 courtesy of our good friends at price picks.
- 18:23[SPEAKER_01]: And thank you to price picks for being a proud sponsor of the cruise show.
- 18:27[SPEAKER_01]: We appreciate them.
- 18:28[SPEAKER_01]: They do an amazing job.
- 18:30[SPEAKER_01]: Thank you, price picks.
- 18:31[SPEAKER_01]: All right, Grace and Halton.
- 18:34[SPEAKER_01]: talk about halting for a second.
- 18:35[SPEAKER_01]: I think this might be their best pick.
- 18:37[SPEAKER_01]: The defensive lineman from Oklahoma.
- 18:41[SPEAKER_01]: And I thought this part of the article was interesting as well.
- 18:44[SPEAKER_01]: Tareka Mod told Matt Barrows that the Niners, when they were looking at different offensive linemen, they wanted to have
- 18:52[SPEAKER_01]: you know, to see offensive linemen against the best and Oklahoma at one of the best defense of lines in the country with our mason Thomas and obviously this kid Grace and Houghton.
- 19:00[SPEAKER_01]: So they watched a lot of Oklahoma's defense of line when they were looking at offensive line prospects that they wanted in the draft.
- 19:09[SPEAKER_01]: And they kept, you know, noticing Halten, a mod says, and he just kept showing up over and over and over again.
- 19:18[SPEAKER_01]: He said he really got off the ball, got on the edge, was able to win quickly.
- 19:23[SPEAKER_01]: He's be disruptive, all the acceleration and get off that we're looking for.
- 19:28[SPEAKER_01]: Mods as I think we did, we did really well on the D-line this year.
- 19:31[SPEAKER_01]: I think last year our first and second round picks, Alfred Collins and Michele were good.
- 19:36[SPEAKER_01]: And I think if Michele didn't get injured, we'd be really, really excited about how he finished the year.
- 19:41[SPEAKER_01]: And now it's exciting adding this next group to that one.
- 19:45[SPEAKER_01]: We got younger, we got more explosive, we got more past pressures.
- 19:50[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, this is what I'm most excited about as well.
- 19:56[SPEAKER_01]: James Thompson, McCoyle, Camara, I just feel like they got some players up front, and they already had some decent players up front.
- 20:05[SPEAKER_01]: So it was good to see, especially the past rushing tackles, Halton and Odegi Zua added.
- 20:10[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, you look at what they did just in two years.
- 20:14[SPEAKER_00]: In this defense attack, we're going to complete makeover.
- 20:17[SPEAKER_00]: You know, last year you draft CJ West and Alfred Collins.
- 20:21[SPEAKER_00]: They're not your past wrestlers.
- 20:22[SPEAKER_00]: They never were meant to be that.
- 20:24[SPEAKER_00]: They are your run stuffers.
- 20:26[SPEAKER_00]: But you didn't have the past rush guys.
- 20:28[SPEAKER_00]: So what do you do?
- 20:30[SPEAKER_00]: You trade for Osso, Diggie Zua.
- 20:32[SPEAKER_00]: You pick up Grayson Halton and it's just like, man, Grayson gets to step into the best situation in this team.
- 20:38[SPEAKER_00]: He gets to just shadow Osso.
- 20:41[SPEAKER_00]: Very similar body types, very similar play strengths, very similar attributes across the board.
- 20:46[SPEAKER_00]: And it's just like, hey, this guy's done it in the NFL for four seasons.
- 20:50[SPEAKER_00]: You're going to learn and just watch and you just,
- 20:56[SPEAKER_00]: do what he does.
- 20:56[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, do what he does.
- 20:58[SPEAKER_00]: Just watch and learn and replicate because the 49ers do they rotate?
- 21:02[SPEAKER_00]: They have an alpha and a bravo group and then they have their NASCAR packages.
- 21:05[SPEAKER_00]: Well, Grayson's going to be out there in that bravo group.
- 21:09[SPEAKER_00]: Like he does not have to this isn't a player that you have to
- 21:13[SPEAKER_00]: insert into the starting line up right away.
- 21:15[SPEAKER_00]: And it's like, Oh, we'll see what happens.
- 21:17[SPEAKER_00]: No, he gets to go across an easy trajectory path to blossom into what he can become.
- 21:23[SPEAKER_00]: And so like you have this instantaneous look dude, the pathway is set before you just watching learn.
- 21:30[SPEAKER_00]: Do what you can and grow into whatever role like it's going to be the most comfortable.
- 21:35[SPEAKER_00]: I just this is just one of those picks, grace and halting where it's just like.
- 21:40[SPEAKER_00]: You don't need to be smart, not that I'm a smart guy.
- 21:43[SPEAKER_00]: Larry, I'll leave that to you.
- 21:44[SPEAKER_00]: But like you don't have to be smart to figure out how it's going to work out.
- 21:47[SPEAKER_00]: This is going to work.
- 21:48[SPEAKER_00]: This is going to work.
- 21:50[SPEAKER_00]: You just come in, you're going to get 20 snaps of game for the probably the first six weeks of the season.
- 21:54[SPEAKER_00]: And you just get a rotate and do your job and just disrupt and cause problems.
- 21:58[SPEAKER_00]: And Grayson Hall and this is so consistent with that.
- 22:01[SPEAKER_00]: Has been at OU for years and years and years, always flashes at game end, game end,
- 22:08[SPEAKER_00]: I like this pick.
- 22:08[SPEAKER_00]: I like the value.
- 22:11[SPEAKER_00]: I thought that this was, you know, everybody get upset about reaches and whatever else.
- 22:15[SPEAKER_00]: The grace and halt and pick, that is the one where it's like, all right, that is the huge value pick of this draft class where should have been off the board in the 90s, 80s, probably.
- 22:25[SPEAKER_00]: You got him at 107.
- 22:28[SPEAKER_00]: awesome pick.
- 22:29[SPEAKER_00]: I love the Grayson Hall.
- 22:30[SPEAKER_00]: This is my favorite as well.
- 22:31[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I mean, that I feel really good about that one as well.
- 22:34[SPEAKER_01]: A lot of people feel good about Carver will say Matt Mayoco predicts the Carver will is going to start at left guard.
- 22:39[SPEAKER_01]: So some people think he's got some real upside.
- 22:41[SPEAKER_01]: I think he's going to be a starter too.
- 22:43[SPEAKER_01]: I just don't think he's going to be a starter until until Brandels out of there and I think you'll be the future center.
- 22:49[SPEAKER_01]: But the Niners put a lot on Chris Firster, you know, on when they're looking at draft prospects, I'm in the offensive line, and Firster's got a good relationship with Jed Fish and the UW people, UW and the Niners have a very much of a kind ship as far as coaching staff, the coaching staff, and they play a similar system.
- 23:09[SPEAKER_01]: And the Niners really like this player.
- 23:11[SPEAKER_01]: They like this demeanor.
- 23:12[SPEAKER_01]: They like this intellect.
- 23:14[SPEAKER_01]: They said, let's struck him is that he was smart and mature.
- 23:17[SPEAKER_01]: He turned 24 last month.
- 23:19[SPEAKER_01]: They think he's a future center.
- 23:21[SPEAKER_01]: A taricomod said he's a bright, impressive kid for offensive lineman that definitely stands out.
- 23:26[SPEAKER_01]: You've got to be consistent.
- 23:28[SPEAKER_01]: You've got to be mature.
- 23:29[SPEAKER_01]: You can't make mistakes.
- 23:30[SPEAKER_01]: You've got to do the right thing over and over and over again.
- 23:34[SPEAKER_01]: Um, so they like Carver Willis and, you know, he's kind of a, you know, he's got entered college like 250 pounds.
- 23:40[SPEAKER_01]: I think he was like 140 pounds in high school.
- 23:42[SPEAKER_01]: So he's not a natural, you know, 300 pounder.
- 23:46[SPEAKER_01]: He's worked his way to 300 plus pounds.
- 23:49[SPEAKER_01]: But I do think he could be their future at center.
- 23:53[SPEAKER_00]: I agree with you there.
- 23:55[SPEAKER_00]: I'm not buying into the Carver Willis is going to be the starting left guard anytime soon.
- 24:01[SPEAKER_00]: It is a major projection.
- 24:03[SPEAKER_00]: Dude's only play tackle is an entire career.
- 24:05[SPEAKER_00]: And whenever you move from tackle to inside, you sacrifice some of your athleticism and you've got to focus a little bit more on anchoring and not getting pushed back too much in Paspro.
- 24:16[SPEAKER_00]: That's the biggest weakness in his game.
- 24:18[SPEAKER_00]: So for that to turn into a strength,
- 24:22[SPEAKER_00]: I want to see it first and like I hope that it does come, but like he's a projected center to me, the athleticism, the short arms, it's just not there, but you watch Carver Willis in the Run game and you're just like, oh hell yes, like he is aggressive, aggressive, aggressive and he gets movement consistently.
- 24:44[SPEAKER_00]: The problem is he's a waste bender and the problem is he doesn't have the link, so you
- 24:52[SPEAKER_00]: The past pro is what's going to keep him the consistency or lack there of in the past pro.
- 24:57[SPEAKER_00]: That's what I'm scared about.
- 24:59[SPEAKER_00]: But if you tell me right now that Carver Willis is the starting center next season, man, I'm in love.
- 25:08[SPEAKER_00]: because he brings what Jake Brindle does not, Jake Brindle's past protection.
- 25:11[SPEAKER_00]: That's his strong suit, not much in the run game.
- 25:14[SPEAKER_00]: He can get to where he's supposed to block, but blocks for account, does it get any movement whatsoever?
- 25:20[SPEAKER_00]: Carver Willis and Jake Brindle are literally the antithesis of each other.
- 25:24[SPEAKER_00]: And so what you're going to want to look for,
- 25:27[SPEAKER_00]: can the past protection become consistent with Carver Willis?
- 25:31[SPEAKER_00]: That is the key.
- 25:32[SPEAKER_00]: And if it doesn't work early on, then it's just, hey, learn the guard position, which is this is what they do with all kind of rookie linemen.
- 25:39[SPEAKER_00]: And then eventually you could take snaps at center or tackle elsewhere.
- 25:43[SPEAKER_00]: But you got to learn the guard spot first.
- 25:46[SPEAKER_01]: You know, they go on and discuss Ephesians, price sock, the fourth round corner at a Washington, and it's funny, it's, you know, the Niners coaches have such a huge impact in their process.
- 25:59[SPEAKER_01]: Is that a good thing or not?
- 26:00[SPEAKER_01]: Well, it's a good if they pick the right players, you know?
- 26:05[SPEAKER_01]: But price sock is a 64 corner, 80 plus inch wingspan.
- 26:11[SPEAKER_01]: And according to Tureka Miley said the defensive coaches absolutely loved him, he would have been in the conversation for them very early in the draft very, very early.
- 26:24[SPEAKER_01]: So they obviously fell in love with this kid.
- 26:27[SPEAKER_01]: And you can see why when you see him because he's really long and tall and he's a rare body type at corner.
- 26:35[SPEAKER_01]: And price sucks stood out to the Niners at the senior bowl.
- 26:38[SPEAKER_01]: They put a lot of credence in the senior bowl.
- 26:40[SPEAKER_01]: And Tureka Mod said he was top two or in my opinion of the corners that were there at the senior bowl.
- 26:48[SPEAKER_01]: So I don't know about this one because they took him over Keith Abney and I thought Abney was higher rated across the board in the same, you know, he played well for ASU, price socks a little bit more projectable with more projectable length and size.
- 27:02[SPEAKER_01]: I thought Abney's tape was better.
- 27:04[SPEAKER_01]: I thought his play was better.
- 27:05[SPEAKER_01]: Thought his production was better.
- 27:06[SPEAKER_01]: I didn't see him losing as many steps in transition.
- 27:10[SPEAKER_01]: Prysock is dreaming on the traits, hoping that it's all going to be there at the end.
- 27:17[SPEAKER_01]: But there's a lot of penalties in college.
- 27:19[SPEAKER_01]: It's a hard time mirroring receivers up and down the field.
- 27:23[SPEAKER_01]: Heck, Dante, Winner thinks he ought to be a safety.
- 27:26[SPEAKER_01]: But they loved him and they loved him from the senior bowl and the defense.
- 27:30[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, if the defensive coach is they took him in the fourth round, I think he might have been projected later than that.
- 27:36[SPEAKER_01]: If they wanted him really early,
- 27:40[SPEAKER_01]: You know, and that so it's like then you got to kind of wonder maybe your coaches are maybe you're at one of the issues you're having is that your coaches.
- 27:49[SPEAKER_01]: are getting into the process late.
- 27:51[SPEAKER_01]: They're not seeing every prospect potentially and maybe they're falling in love with a few guys too much and maybe this is an example of that.
- 28:00[SPEAKER_01]: This this this this pick worries me because it's like if it works out oh yeah you might have one of the best corners in football but to me the film was really really just okay even though he's big
- 28:14[SPEAKER_01]: and long and rangey, and you're like, wow, look at this guy.
- 28:17[SPEAKER_01]: But he just has a hard time mirroring receivers, you know, down the field without losing steps, he gets really grabby, and this is at the college level.
- 28:27[SPEAKER_01]: So, I don't know, I see lots of penalties coming for price socket.
- 28:32[SPEAKER_01]: I think he might be the guy, even though he's a fourth round pick, I would not be surprised if he's the guy that does not make the team, but where are you on him?
- 28:40[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, you know, we break down the all 22 tape on every single player.
- 28:44[SPEAKER_00]: And that's up on the 40 Irish Rush.com.
- 28:46[SPEAKER_00]: If you want to check it out, that's how we pay the bills over here.
- 28:49[SPEAKER_00]: But man, he loses early a lot.
- 28:51[SPEAKER_00]: His technique is not consistent.
- 28:53[SPEAKER_00]: His feet like he tries to jam, which with the 6-4 corner with that wingspan, you're like, oh, this is going to be, you know, a press man corner.
- 29:01[SPEAKER_00]: He's really bad at it.
- 29:03[SPEAKER_00]: opens up feet the wrong way, doesn't use the correct off-hand GM consistently, but if you're going to bet on a player late in the draft, I want an all-out football stud or I want to freak athlete.
- 29:17[SPEAKER_00]: This is a freak athlete.
- 29:20[SPEAKER_00]: This is the compensation pick that the 49ers receive for Tolonoho Funga signing with the Broncos.
- 29:26[SPEAKER_00]: And so we know how Shanna hands these those compics they're just extra dart throws.
- 29:30[SPEAKER_00]: He does not value them the same as regular draft picks, which is interesting in and of itself.
- 29:36[SPEAKER_00]: But the one thing I will say about price is that is consistent on tape.
- 29:42[SPEAKER_00]: He gets himself in a world of trouble early and then somehow just like makes these freak closed plays where he gets back into phase.
- 29:49[SPEAKER_00]: And like if he could learn,
- 29:52[SPEAKER_00]: Stop losing early and putting yourself in these terrible positions through the first part of the play.
- 29:58[SPEAKER_00]: Through increased technique and just understanding route concepts and what's coming and watching film like okay, the athleticism, the speed, the reactions, all that's there.
- 30:08[SPEAKER_00]: It's just that first count and a half in reading the wide receiver.
- 30:12[SPEAKER_00]: Man, he's he's just gets lost a lot.
- 30:15[SPEAKER_00]: Now, now you're going to a cover three cover six,
- 30:20[SPEAKER_00]: It's a lot more kind of bell technique and whatever else.
- 30:22[SPEAKER_00]: So maybe that's going to be good.
- 30:24[SPEAKER_00]: But he again, he's another guy that doesn't have to play right now.
- 30:28[SPEAKER_00]: Pricot gets to just sit behind a like man.
- 30:33[SPEAKER_00]: Can you imagine Ephesians, Pricot lining up behind Renardo Green?
- 30:37[SPEAKER_00]: And, you know, Dimo and being like, dude, I'm three inches taller and I'm faster and, you know, all these things and these guys, if I just figure it out, this is my job to lose, but this is a boomer bus pick.
- 30:50[SPEAKER_00]: Now, I agree with Whitner, you start at corner and if it doesn't work out, you fail them to safety.
- 30:56[SPEAKER_00]: So there is even a backup contingency plan with price sock.
- 30:59[SPEAKER_00]: A worse case special teams, like there's a lot of areas where you can see the pathway for him panning out.
- 31:06[SPEAKER_00]: But this is a project pick, and back into the fourth round, compensation pick, freak athletes, I don't mind taking dart throws again.
- 31:15[SPEAKER_00]: I want one of two types of players at that point.
- 31:18[SPEAKER_00]: I want the all-out football IQ, you know, poor athlete or I want the freak athlete that hasn't put it together yet.
- 31:25[SPEAKER_00]: And price arc fits the latter.
- 31:27[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I mean, these last three guys between price stock, Dugger and Enrique Cruz, they're all what I would call wild day three stabs at guys with massive traits and we'll see, you know, price stock could be the best corner in football or he could get cut.
- 31:45[SPEAKER_01]: You know, is he a dog or is he just a guy who's got a big frame?
- 31:50[SPEAKER_01]: Uh, we're going to find out this summer.
- 31:52[SPEAKER_01]: Jane Dugger was their fifth round pick and he's equally intriguing.
- 31:56[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, in this guy, according to Amad, Amad said Dugger was a steady mover up the team's draft board in the spring because he got high grades from two of their key figures.
- 32:06[SPEAKER_01]: He got the national scout ship flanagan who cross-checked the linebackers gave Dugger
- 32:12[SPEAKER_01]: strong marks at the East West shrine game and then the cross check and then his also came back with this cross check grade that was high and at the same time then KJ Wright who's the nine or linebacker coach and his first year as the full-time linebacker coach you know he really likes Dugger and then he has got a very similar body type to KJ when KJ was coming out of college
- 32:36[SPEAKER_01]: But Douglas interesting, Johnny played safety at Georgetown.
- 32:39[SPEAKER_01]: He moved to outside lineback at Louisiana.
- 32:42[SPEAKER_01]: Middle linebacker last year at 125 tackles.
- 32:45[SPEAKER_01]: It sounds like the plan is to play him off the weak side, and probably on special teams.
- 32:52[SPEAKER_01]: He, to me, this is, you know, his film is all of the place.
- 32:56[SPEAKER_01]: His highlight real is awesome, but his play is far from awesome.
- 33:02[SPEAKER_01]: And when you look at his film and you grade him out consistently, you can see he's an awesome raw athlete, but you can also see the raw part really,
- 33:12[SPEAKER_01]: you know, is a overwhelming characteristics.
- 33:14[SPEAKER_01]: So I think Dougher could be the best player they drafted, or he may get cut.
- 33:21[SPEAKER_01]: He may just be a special teamer that never can play from Scrimmage.
- 33:25[SPEAKER_01]: I'm not even sure if ZLI'm back or he might be a defensive end in, uh, Rehearses scheme.
- 33:30[SPEAKER_01]: What do you see with him?
- 33:32[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I'd like your analogy of just film being all over the place.
- 33:35[SPEAKER_00]: You know, whenever I coached and we would go through a tape with our players, I'd give him a score sheet and we'd grade every single rep.
- 33:41[SPEAKER_00]: If it's amazing plus two plus one zero minus one minus two, and man, I'm going through that Mizzou tape, which is like his highest quality opponent, you know, Louisiana against SEC Missouri.
- 33:54[SPEAKER_00]: and i'm telling you right now he probably finished that game with like a negative 35 score like but he's got four plays that are plus two where it's just like oh hell yeah like and if i just cut those four plays and put them in succession i can put it on youtube and put it out there and be like oh he's a future all pro
- 34:12[SPEAKER_00]: But the play before the play after you, not in the wrong hole, can't diagnose plays.
- 34:17[SPEAKER_00]: He was out of pocket at Mike Linebacker, which was new for him last year.
- 34:22[SPEAKER_00]: He's the last to make the calls.
- 34:23[SPEAKER_00]: You've got, you know, he's trying to call play strength and all that stuff and the nickels are responding.
- 34:29[SPEAKER_00]: They're responding before he's making his call, like he was just lost.
- 34:32[SPEAKER_00]: So the tape, it's not there.
- 34:35[SPEAKER_00]: You're playing three separate positions in three consecutive seasons with two different schools.
- 34:42[SPEAKER_00]: You ain't got to thank too much.
- 34:44[SPEAKER_00]: Learn a couple things and here's the reality.
- 34:47[SPEAKER_00]: He's not playing this year.
- 34:50[SPEAKER_00]: Early on, that light backer room is stout.
- 34:53[SPEAKER_00]: Man, it really, really is.
- 34:55[SPEAKER_00]: So pull up a chair, listen, keep your mouth shut, learn, figure out this sport, increase your football IQ to the point where your physical traits, which are exemplary, can finally take over.
- 35:11[SPEAKER_00]: Now the good news is if he does make this roster, you're gonna be on special teams only and you're gonna be a backup backup.
- 35:16[SPEAKER_00]: Like that's what's in store for him in 2026.
- 35:19[SPEAKER_00]: Some of this catches on who knows because there's not a lot of linebackers that look like him.
- 35:23[SPEAKER_00]: I do think Edge would probably be that Sam, you know, kind of over-type linebackers, where he should wind up.
- 35:30[SPEAKER_00]: But I think that's a little too much for him.
- 35:32[SPEAKER_00]: Just a little play will figure it out.
- 35:34[SPEAKER_00]: Learn behind Ray Green Law.
- 35:37[SPEAKER_00]: There's there's enough there to like, but man, if you watch the game tape, yeah, my
- 35:44[SPEAKER_00]: If you want to fall in love with the player, watch the highlights.
- 35:47[SPEAKER_00]: That's like reading somebody's dating profile.
- 35:49[SPEAKER_00]: You're only getting the good.
- 35:50[SPEAKER_00]: But if you want to interview their exes and their former bosses that fired him, watch Game Take.
- 35:55[SPEAKER_00]: Can't hide anything on Game Take.
- 35:57[SPEAKER_00]: His Game Take is rough, man.
- 35:59[SPEAKER_00]: Is rough.
- 36:01[SPEAKER_01]: Well, I mean, it just, it shows what he is, which is a guy that hasn't played, he hasn't played any position for more than a year.
- 36:07[SPEAKER_01]: So, you got to give him some time to grow.
- 36:10[SPEAKER_01]: Obviously, Raheem likes something about him.
- 36:13[SPEAKER_01]: The traits are off the charts.
- 36:14[SPEAKER_01]: We'll see if they can turn him into a player that's useful in some way in their scheme.
- 36:19[SPEAKER_01]: And Rika Cruz...
- 36:20[SPEAKER_01]: You know, they just kept saying he's very gifted.
- 36:22[SPEAKER_01]: He's very gifted.
- 36:23[SPEAKER_01]: Tureka Maud said he's a lot of top 10 percentile talent in his body, the acceleration, the explosiveness.
- 36:30[SPEAKER_01]: He's very physically gifted guy, ran 494 at 313 pounds, 35 inch vertical, three inches higher than that of the top tackle in the draft, Spencer Fano.
- 36:44[SPEAKER_01]: 11 inch hands.
- 36:46[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, this guy is really, you know, Cruz, his former coaches gave them good scouting reports.
- 36:53[SPEAKER_01]: First, you're worked him out and the run up to the draft and loved him.
- 36:57[SPEAKER_01]: Amazes, Chris loved him on tape and Chris came back from the workout even more convicted and everything we've seen so far is really encouraging.
- 37:04[SPEAKER_01]: So they love his athleticism.
- 37:06[SPEAKER_01]: I guess the question I would have is, how do you keep them?
- 37:09[SPEAKER_01]: You have Colton McKinvets.
- 37:11[SPEAKER_01]: You have Trent Williams.
- 37:13[SPEAKER_01]: You just signed Vaderian low.
- 37:15[SPEAKER_01]: Who should be your swing tackle?
- 37:17[SPEAKER_01]: You're probably going to wind up cutting Austin plusons.
- 37:19[SPEAKER_01]: How do you create a spot for a fourth offensive tackle that's never going to play?
- 37:25[SPEAKER_01]: Or do you cut Luke Ferrell and make this guy your blocking tight end?
- 37:30[SPEAKER_01]: And now you've got your stealing an extra
- 37:38[SPEAKER_01]: This guy's got too much talent to slide him through waivers at the cut down.
- 37:44[SPEAKER_01]: So is he going to make the final 53 when he has no chance of being one of their top three tackles?
- 37:51[SPEAKER_01]: That's going to be a nifty trick.
- 37:53[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know.
- 37:54[SPEAKER_01]: It's going to be interesting to see how they retain him through, you know, through the camp and into the season.
- 38:02[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, fifth rounders make the roster like let's just be honest like a fifth round pick is 170 night overall still
- 38:10[SPEAKER_00]: They make rosters.
- 38:12[SPEAKER_00]: Sometimes six rounders get cut.
- 38:14[SPEAKER_00]: It most of the time, seven rounders get cut.
- 38:16[SPEAKER_00]: Fifth rounders don't get cut.
- 38:18[SPEAKER_00]: Like that just doesn't happen, but you look at this roster, it's like, man, who's the odd man out here?
- 38:24[SPEAKER_00]: Now, Austin Pleasant had some damn good tape last year and the shout out to you, Larry, you were on that the entirety way.
- 38:31[SPEAKER_00]: I was a hundred percent wrong.
- 38:32[SPEAKER_00]: I thought he was too heavy-footed and whatever else.
- 38:34[SPEAKER_00]: He gets in their game time, held his own well.
- 38:37[SPEAKER_00]: But he was on the practice squad a lot,
- 38:40[SPEAKER_00]: And so the question of how do you keep all these guys in particular Enrique Cruz, Jr.
- 38:47[SPEAKER_00]: This is going to be one of those shanty hands specific up and broke his arm the last play of the game.
- 38:52[SPEAKER_00]: Kind of like Jacob Robinson, which I do think he broke his arm.
- 38:54[SPEAKER_00]: I remember watching him walk off the field.
- 38:56[SPEAKER_00]: But like this is one of those mysterious injuries.
- 38:59[SPEAKER_00]: Like, we're going to have to put them on the pump and shut them down for the year.
- 39:02[SPEAKER_00]: You're going to have to get creative in shanty hands.
- 39:06[SPEAKER_00]: They do that.
- 39:07[SPEAKER_00]: And so I could
- 39:10[SPEAKER_00]: I'm not saying he's going to get injured.
- 39:12[SPEAKER_00]: I'm saying if an injury doesn't happen to the point where it makes sense roster wise for that 53 man, there's going to be a couple guys where they're going to have a closed door meeting and say, Hey, your ankle swollen just so you know, we're turning that into the NFL today.
- 39:28[SPEAKER_00]: So I think one of those mysterious whatever where you get kind of creative with it.
- 39:34[SPEAKER_00]: won't be shocked if that is in reggae crews jade and dugger price sock or even carver will this i would not be shocked if it's one of those uh... and i don't know do you think china does that because i do think the 49ers do that every year uh... make up some reason to slide guys around a little bit little i absolutely but you know here's the challenge this year
- 39:58[SPEAKER_01]: Are you going to be able to in the same year keep both Curtis work a third quarterback and Enrique Cruz a fourth offensive tackle it's the cross position that's where it gets troubling right because it's easy to say oh just keep for tackles well if you do that you can't keep three.
- 40:19[SPEAKER_01]: quarterbacks, or you can't keep six linebackers, or you can, like, let's somehow passing league and you got a bunch of receivers you've invested in, you've got, you know, this is where the Niners, you know, I hope, let you say this.
- 40:33[SPEAKER_01]: I hope the best 53 guys make the roster.
- 40:37[SPEAKER_01]: And it's easy to say that.
- 40:39[SPEAKER_01]: But this year, I'm most concerned about it because they did go and sign three free agents on the offensive line and draft to offensive linemen.
- 40:49[SPEAKER_01]: So I mean, that's five new offensive linemen.
- 40:51[SPEAKER_01]: Well, five new offensive linemen.
- 40:53[SPEAKER_01]: I can't keep all five of those guys.
- 40:55[SPEAKER_01]: You sign a bunch of corners.
- 40:57[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know if you can keep that depth, but it's a passing league.
- 41:01[SPEAKER_01]: You got a bunch of receivers.
- 41:02[SPEAKER_01]: You're gonna cut your fourth round picks the last couple of years.
- 41:05[SPEAKER_01]: It's gonna make your drafting look that much worse.
- 41:09[SPEAKER_01]: they're going to have some, it's going to be a very difficult roster to cut down, I think.
- 41:14[SPEAKER_01]: It's going to be hard for work to make it and for Enrique Cruz to make it.
- 41:20[SPEAKER_01]: There may be a trade, there may be a trade at some point.
- 41:23[SPEAKER_01]: They may have a guy or two that is too good to cut, but not good enough to make it.
- 41:29[SPEAKER_00]: And I would say, if that's the case you're looking at wide receiver,
- 41:33[SPEAKER_00]: Um, that that's where it should happen.
- 41:36[SPEAKER_00]: Like, you've got nine wide receivers.
- 41:39[SPEAKER_00]: And you only use five.
- 41:41[SPEAKER_00]: So, like, whoever loses that punt return kick return job, whoever does it like Jordan Walkins, Cowin, you know, whatever else like that's where I think it's going to get.
- 42:04[SPEAKER_00]: May the best man with?
- 42:05[SPEAKER_01]: That's why it opened.
- 42:08[SPEAKER_01]: Evans Kirk, Stribbling, are on the roster for sure.
- 42:13[SPEAKER_01]: You would think Pearson as well.
- 42:15[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, that would be four.
- 42:19[SPEAKER_01]: So if you keep five, everybody else is for one spot.
- 42:23[SPEAKER_01]: Jordan Watkins, to Marcus Robinson, we'll Pauling, Wesley Grimes, the undrafted guys, Cowling, Burke, Junior Bergen, Mike Turner, they're all battling for one spot.
- 42:35[SPEAKER_01]: And to Marcus, I don't know how you cut to Marcus Robinson.
- 42:39[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know how you would do that.
- 42:40[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know how you cut Jordan Walkins.
- 42:42[SPEAKER_01]: He's got four, three speed and guys scored nine touchdowns two years ago.
- 42:45[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know what the heck happened last year.
- 42:47[SPEAKER_01]: He had the high ankle sprain.
- 42:48[SPEAKER_01]: He just kind of fell out of favor.
- 42:50[SPEAKER_01]: But yeah, I mean, they were gonna have a hard time pairing this roster down.
- 42:54[SPEAKER_01]: And it makes me think that, you know, one or two of these guys could get traded.
- 42:59[SPEAKER_01]: It could be Curtis Rork.
- 43:00[SPEAKER_01]: You know, it's Curtis Rork gonna play really well.
- 43:03[SPEAKER_01]: And Matt Smith is really well, is he that automatically makes it or does that, you know, does that mean that they trade Mack Jones?
- 43:12[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, I don't know.
- 43:13[SPEAKER_01]: It's gonna be, it's another, it's a lot of, a lot of moving parts here.
- 43:18[SPEAKER_01]: You know, for this final 53, on the final 53 man roster.
- 43:24[SPEAKER_01]: David and Barty had an interesting stat today.
- 43:26[SPEAKER_01]: Said Brock Party was the NFL's most accurate quarterback targeting open receivers down field, but he had the second lowest rate of passes targeting an open receiver down field.
- 43:39[SPEAKER_01]: I have to say that again.
- 43:41[SPEAKER_01]: Well, rock dirty was the NFL's most accurate quarterback targeting open receivers down field.
- 43:47[SPEAKER_01]: Okay.
- 43:47[SPEAKER_01]: It was very accurate when he was targeting openings receivers open receivers down the field.
- 43:51[SPEAKER_01]: But he had the second lowest rate of pass is targeting an open receiver down the field.
- 43:55[SPEAKER_01]: In other words, if you got open down the field, party hits you.
- 44:00[SPEAKER_01]: But you didn't, but the Niners didn't get open down the field, which is probably why Mike Evans and Christian Kirk and to Sean Strybling have been brought in in the off season and why.
- 44:11[SPEAKER_01]: You know, JJ's gone and other guys are gone, they didn't get any separation at all.
- 44:18[SPEAKER_01]: And the, you know, I was looking at the list here, at least accurate quarterbacks when targeting and open receiver 10 plus yards down the field in 2025.
- 44:27[SPEAKER_01]: The least accurate were guys like Michael Panics, JJ McCarthy, my homes, believe it or not, price young.
- 44:34[SPEAKER_01]: But the best was Brock Perti.
- 44:36[SPEAKER_01]: We completed 72.5% of his passes to receivers were open, 10 plus yards down the field.
- 44:44[SPEAKER_01]: So you know what it tells me, John, those numbers tell me is that if the Niners receivers can get open down the field this year, we may see Brock Perti
- 44:55[SPEAKER_00]: have an MVP type year, one of the most, you know, highest passer yards per game last year was brought crazy to play enough.
- 45:04[SPEAKER_00]: It's there and you're rebuilding the entire offense through the wide receiver room didn't draft a tight end.
- 45:09[SPEAKER_00]: You did draft K-lon black in the third round, but like the impetus that has been put on the wide receiver position.
- 45:15[SPEAKER_00]: I would argue probably one of the largest
- 45:19[SPEAKER_00]: worst to best position groups in the entire NFL, not just the 49ers.
- 45:24[SPEAKER_00]: Is that 49ers wide receiver room?
- 45:26[SPEAKER_00]: Demarker's Robinson was the best playoff wide receiver the 49ers had.
- 45:29[SPEAKER_00]: Like I understand Ricky Pierce saw his awesome, but he wasn't in the playoffs.
- 45:33[SPEAKER_00]: He sure is hell wasn't.
- 45:34[SPEAKER_00]: Demarker's Robinson was your number one.
- 45:36[SPEAKER_00]: Now we're having conversations.
- 45:37[SPEAKER_00]: He might not even make the roster.
- 45:39[SPEAKER_00]: So you're a great point.
- 45:41[SPEAKER_00]: Like you've brought in competition and top tier and
- 45:48[SPEAKER_00]: It's going to be a heavy passing team, and especially you look at just how inefficient the run game was last year.
- 45:53[SPEAKER_00]: A lot of that was because you didn't have any downfield threats.
- 45:56[SPEAKER_00]: Well, now you bring in Mike Evans, one of the best vertical wide receivers in NFL history, and you bring into Sean Striplin who runs a 4 3 and a 6 3, you now have those options.
- 46:06[SPEAKER_00]: And so if teams are going to continue play the 49ers, the way that they did last year.
- 46:12[SPEAKER_00]: go ahead.
- 46:12[SPEAKER_00]: We're going to beat you through the air.
- 46:14[SPEAKER_00]: If we can't run the ball efficiently, I don't think that they abandoned the run, but you look at the amount of past plays called whether that was Mac Jones or brought pretty last year.
- 46:22[SPEAKER_00]: They were airing it out.
- 46:23[SPEAKER_00]: I think that's going to continue.
- 46:26[SPEAKER_01]: Um, couple last thoughts before we call a quits or Nick Wagner says he talked about when he believes George Kittle will make his season debut.
- 46:36[SPEAKER_01]: I just think these, I think all these guys have this so wrong.
- 46:40[SPEAKER_01]: Um, I get it.
- 46:41[SPEAKER_01]: Kittle wants to be back week one, but that's just something that you say.
- 46:44[SPEAKER_01]: You know, that's just something that you say.
- 46:46[SPEAKER_01]: He tore his Achilles in January, all right?
- 46:51[SPEAKER_01]: Why would he return in September?
- 46:55[SPEAKER_01]: But here's what Wagner says.
- 46:56[SPEAKER_01]: Kittle and the Ford manager remain optimistic that he can be back potentially as early as week one against the frames.
- 47:02[SPEAKER_01]: I'm told that maybe a little too optimistic, given the fact that Kittle wouldn't have played in a long time, going into that game and would be coming off a 19-hour flight to Australia, spending a week over there and then going back into a game, the Niners do have three consecutive home games after they return from Australia, which looks like more of a reasonable target somewhere in there for Kittle to return.
- 47:24[SPEAKER_01]: Hi, this guy, go get yourself another tight end and let this guy return in November.
- 47:32[SPEAKER_01]: That's the way to play this.
- 47:34[SPEAKER_01]: He's indispensable.
- 47:35[SPEAKER_01]: He's one of your best players.
- 47:37[SPEAKER_01]: He's maybe a future
- 47:44[SPEAKER_01]: And if you're not, then you shouldn't even be in the organization anymore, because the organizational stated plan is to win the Super Bowl, and that's to play in February.
- 47:53[SPEAKER_01]: So why do I want a tight end, who means as much as he does, to play in, I don't want to say, meaning those games to play in September games, when that would be 10 months, or, I think,
- 48:06[SPEAKER_01]: a year is a good, a good gauge for recovery time for an Achilles.
- 48:12[SPEAKER_01]: Ten months would be November 1st.
- 48:16[SPEAKER_01]: So why would he return before ten months?
- 48:20[SPEAKER_01]: I don't get that.
- 48:21[SPEAKER_01]: And what this guy's 33 years old, and you use him a ton, and he's rooted in the ground with his cleats on every play.
- 48:31[SPEAKER_01]: And you're going to make this guy, you know, no, this guy should not come back until after Halloween.
- 48:37[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know what these guys are talking about.
- 48:40[SPEAKER_01]: This sounds as almost as crazy as the I UX going to come back in week one last.
- 48:44[SPEAKER_00]: Thank you.
- 48:45[SPEAKER_01]: Thank you.
- 48:46[SPEAKER_00]: Or the Christian McCaffrey as a good chance to go week one.
- 48:49[SPEAKER_00]: You remember that one in 2020 and then he didn't play at all for.
- 48:53[SPEAKER_01]: 10 weeks weeks weeks weeks these are just like these are like nine or is it nine or PR testing loyalty of some of these guys or what I don't know But I mean it's like really really we you're if you had a bit every penny that you own on George Kittle coming back a certain week you're gonna take week one I'll take like week seven week eight
- 49:17[SPEAKER_00]: And even though he ain't going on the Australia trip like I and that's a thing like I would be surprised if both in mechanical don't go like that trip is going to be killer and so like I would not be shocked if the 49ers do more pup
- 49:32[SPEAKER_00]: kind of designation for the immediate part of the thing.
- 49:36[SPEAKER_00]: And that might be the way that you get a lot of these guys on the initial roster, where you keep some of these guys coming off ACLs and the killies keep them on the pup for the first three games.
- 49:44[SPEAKER_00]: It's so like, okay, you're going to miss you look at the schedule and it's like, all right, so you're going to be missing week one against the ramps that sucks, but this long trip, then you have the dolphins cardinals.
- 49:55[SPEAKER_00]: missed the first three weeks.
- 49:56[SPEAKER_00]: Come back for the Broncos game, all right.
- 49:58[SPEAKER_00]: Like, and that will allow you for every player that you keep on club or NFI or whatever, that lets you keep another player on your 53.
- 50:06[SPEAKER_00]: And then, whenever you do bring back kid old and McKell or whoever else.
- 50:11[SPEAKER_00]: Well, whenever you wave a player at that point in week three, it's a lot harder to shuffle the chairs and to claim that player off of waivers than it is at the 53 initial break, because these guys have been with your team.
- 50:22[SPEAKER_00]: So I think there's going to be a lot of roster gymnastics because of that australia trip.
- 50:28[SPEAKER_00]: And I do not think that there is any way shape or form that
- 50:36[SPEAKER_00]: I get the story sounds awesome, and I think Kittle truly does believe he will be back.
- 50:40[SPEAKER_00]: That's just George Kittle's like mindset, like, that's fine.
- 50:46[SPEAKER_00]: I just don't see it, I don't see it, and I could make a video.
- 50:50[SPEAKER_00]: George Kittle's gonna be back week one, guaranteed it, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, and I'll have thousands of views, but that's bullshit.
- 50:56[SPEAKER_00]: That's not gonna happen.
- 50:57[SPEAKER_00]: Just like I yuk was gonna be ready week one, or CMC week one, or like you said.
- 51:03[SPEAKER_00]: The 49ers are very trustworthy with a lot of things.
- 51:05[SPEAKER_00]: Andrew reports have never been one of them in the Kyle Shanahan regime ever.
- 51:11[SPEAKER_01]: I swear, I will be shocked.
- 51:14[SPEAKER_01]: Shocked if he's there week one.
- 51:16[SPEAKER_01]: Absolutely and completely and utterly shocked.
- 51:19[SPEAKER_01]: All right, let's finish on this.
- 51:24[SPEAKER_01]: There's always, there's always something interesting out there.
- 51:26[SPEAKER_01]: This I caught this today.
- 51:28[SPEAKER_01]: This is a nine or nois, so you familiar.
- 51:31[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, you're with nine or nois.
- 51:32[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, shut up.
- 51:33[SPEAKER_00]: You're familiar.
- 51:34[SPEAKER_00]: Yes.
- 51:35[SPEAKER_01]: Okay.
- 51:35[SPEAKER_01]: All right.
- 51:36[SPEAKER_01]: I didn't know.
- 51:37[SPEAKER_01]: Are you familiar with Michael Haney?
- 51:41[SPEAKER_01]: I do know the name.
- 51:42[SPEAKER_01]: Yes, I believe we met it for three under the radar trades to fix the 49ers remaining were Austro needs if you could only do one of these three trades which trade do you like the most okay?
- 51:54[SPEAKER_01]: You haven't seen this one.
- 51:56[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, this is I know the new trades.
- 51:57[SPEAKER_01]: It's like, ooh, it's kind of fun.
- 51:59[SPEAKER_01]: All right trade number one
- 52:03[SPEAKER_01]: Twenty twenty seven fourth to the Raiders for Michael Mayer, but I don't even need to look at any other ones.
- 52:08[SPEAKER_00]: Yes, that's what I would do I would do that no heartbeat.
- 52:11[SPEAKER_00]: I think it costs a lot more than a fourth.
- 52:13[SPEAKER_01]: I love Michael Mayer Yeah, I love that dude.
- 52:17[SPEAKER_01]: Maybe maybe maybe you know player in a fourth, but I would do that one.
- 52:21[SPEAKER_01]: Here's another one Taden Bethune and a six for Walker little
- 52:25[SPEAKER_00]: No, I like Fidarian low.
- 52:27[SPEAKER_00]: I like Walter, little, but I like Fidarian low.
- 52:31[SPEAKER_00]: I want to see what they got in Enrique Cruz.
- 52:33[SPEAKER_00]: And I like Tatum Petton as the number three.
- 52:35[SPEAKER_00]: I don't think Walter little plays for the 49ers.
- 52:38[SPEAKER_00]: I would say no to this one.
- 52:39[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, once again, it's like you don't have endless roster spots.
- 52:43[SPEAKER_01]: It's not 75 men roster.
- 52:45[SPEAKER_01]: If you told me that Colt McKivitz or Trent Williams was hurt, then yeah, I'm very interested in this trade.
- 52:51[SPEAKER_01]: And I probably would consider that a pretty fair trade.
- 52:55[SPEAKER_01]: Right now, there's no room at the end, you know, you're going to have a hard enough time rostring and wreak a cruise, let alone finding a spot for walk or a little.
- 53:03[SPEAKER_01]: So I agree, how about this one?
- 53:05[SPEAKER_01]: Mac to the Browns for a third round pick.
- 53:12[SPEAKER_00]: I'm I'm going to say no on this because
- 53:16[SPEAKER_00]: If you would have traded Mac before the draft and then you could have got a quarter back to come in, a stable kind of number two, that's one thing.
- 53:24[SPEAKER_00]: Now that Mac is on the roster, going to play out the last year of a deal whenever he signs you'll probably get a fourth round comp pick back worst case, just a year delayed.
- 53:33[SPEAKER_00]: So if I could get a top 50 pick for Mac Jones, I would trade him.
- 53:38[SPEAKER_00]: That being the Brown's third round pick, you're talking 70, 70s, probably, you know, late 60s.
- 53:46[SPEAKER_00]: So I would hold out.
- 53:47[SPEAKER_00]: I would not do that trade.
- 53:50[SPEAKER_00]: That micro, the Michael Mayer trade for the Titan, because I think Titan and safety are the two biggest issues on this roster.
- 53:57[SPEAKER_00]: I would do that trade in a heartbeat.
- 53:58[SPEAKER_00]: So I would rate the Mac Jones trade number two, and number three, the Walker little, even though I like Walker little, I don't think the
- 54:07[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 54:08[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, come on.
- 54:08[SPEAKER_01]: You can't get rid of Mac Jones.
- 54:11[SPEAKER_01]: Um, you know, once again, we'll stop, we'll stop sharing the, uh, the screen there and I'll share this.
- 54:17[SPEAKER_01]: Um, here, we have this one from Mac Jones from the weekend.
- 54:22[SPEAKER_01]: You can't get rid of Mac Jones, right?
- 54:24[SPEAKER_01]: There he is.
- 54:26[SPEAKER_00]: there it is with the kiddos.
- 54:28[SPEAKER_00]: My guys, man, that's all.
- 54:29[SPEAKER_00]: Look how tiny kiddo is, man.
- 54:32[SPEAKER_00]: All these pitchers come about.
- 54:33[SPEAKER_00]: He is tiny.
- 54:35[SPEAKER_01]: Seriously, Matt Jones looks significantly bigger than kiddo right there.
- 54:39[SPEAKER_01]: Of course, it's the angle, but yeah, all the more reason for kiddo not to rush back, because he's got to, you know, lift weights and get ready and get his body already.
- 54:50[SPEAKER_01]: But yeah, Matt Jones, I mean, of those trades, my
- 54:55[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, I think you just went on mute real quick.
- 54:57[SPEAKER_00]: Sorry about that, Larry.
- 54:59[SPEAKER_00]: You just went on mute.
- 55:01[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, he's still going.
- 55:03[SPEAKER_00]: Larry, you're on mute, brother.
- 55:05[SPEAKER_00]: Us, Larry, you're on mute.
- 55:08[SPEAKER_00]: I love it.
- 55:10[SPEAKER_00]: I love it.
- 55:11[SPEAKER_00]: I love it.
- 55:14[SPEAKER_00]: can't hear you.
- 55:16[SPEAKER_00]: He's in the middle of a freaking tirade.
- 55:18[SPEAKER_00]: I feel bad.
- 55:19[SPEAKER_00]: We all miss this.
- 55:21[SPEAKER_00]: You're on mute Larry.
- 55:23[SPEAKER_01]: If I be on mute at the whole time.
- 55:24[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, that whole red.
- 55:26[SPEAKER_00]: You seem so passionate.
- 55:27[SPEAKER_00]: I don't know what Johnny now.
- 55:29[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, no, I think it's lit by hearing anything.
- 55:31[SPEAKER_00]: John, do you hear me?
- 55:32[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I got here.
- 55:33[SPEAKER_00]: But I don't hear.
- 55:34[SPEAKER_00]: I can hear myself.
- 55:34[SPEAKER_00]: I can hear you.
- 55:35[SPEAKER_01]: You're good.
- 55:36[SPEAKER_01]: I got you.
- 55:36[SPEAKER_01]: Let me move Johnny back with you back in there.
- 55:41[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, you can hear me.
- 55:42[SPEAKER_00]: Yes, sir.
- 55:43[SPEAKER_01]: Yes, sir, but I can't hear you.
- 55:45[SPEAKER_00]: That's okay.
- 55:46[SPEAKER_01]: Can you hear yourself?
- 55:47[SPEAKER_00]: I can't.
- 55:49[SPEAKER_00]: Why can't I hear anymore?
- 55:50[SPEAKER_01]: Some of the things went wrong.
- 55:53[SPEAKER_00]: It's okay.
- 55:54[SPEAKER_00]: No idea what's going on here.
- 55:55[SPEAKER_01]: You're good.
- 55:56[SPEAKER_01]: We got this one.
- 55:58[SPEAKER_01]: Get it boys.
- 55:59[SPEAKER_01]: The grind never stops.
- 56:02[SPEAKER_01]: Anyway.
- 56:04[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know why I can't hear John.
- 56:06[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, man.
- 56:07[SPEAKER_01]: You lost my mic.
- 56:08[SPEAKER_00]: Do I do something to you guys hear me?
- 56:09[SPEAKER_00]: It's going to thumbs up if you guys can hear me.
- 56:11[SPEAKER_01]: All right, Johnny.
- 56:12[SPEAKER_01]: Well, we're right right at the end.
- 56:13[SPEAKER_01]: Anyway, thanks to John.
- 56:16[SPEAKER_01]: John, I can't hear you, but the audience probably can't so promote promote what you got coming up on your on your trips and your travel in this year.
- 56:24[SPEAKER_01]: I want to do that and we didn't get to it in time.
- 56:28[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, so if you're going to any of the 49ers away games this year, we're going to be hosting events day before and tailgate all inclusive premium tailgates kids are free to every event we ever do we're going to be in Australia we're going to be in Mexico City we're going to Seattle sea hocks we're going to be in Dallas probably the biggest party we've ever thrown
- 56:46[SPEAKER_00]: And we're also going to be in Atlanta.
- 56:47[SPEAKER_00]: So go check it out 49ers rushrochip.com.
- 56:50[SPEAKER_00]: You can see the times, the events, the days, locations for all those.
- 56:53[SPEAKER_00]: If you go to any 49ers travel games, come party with us with the 49ers' faithful, we will be there this year, seven for us.
- 57:00[SPEAKER_00]: But that's going to do it.
- 57:01[SPEAKER_00]: So back to Larry here.
- 57:02[SPEAKER_01]: All right.
- 57:03[SPEAKER_01]: Well, that's going to do it for us.
