Lucas: Exactly. We bought pisang and epal. Today we're going back to vegetables, but with some new ones. Ready? Luna: Absolutely. I've been practicing my 'Saya mahu...' so bring it on. Lucas: Great. So our first new vegetable is bayam. That's spinach. Luna: Bayam. Spinach. Okay. Lucas: Listen: Saya mahu bayam. I want spinach. Luna: Saya mahu bayam. Lucas: Perfect. Now another one: brokoli. Broccoli. Luna: Brokoli. That sounds close to English. Lucas: It does. So Saya mahu brokoli. I want broccoli. Luna: Saya mahu brokoli. Lucas: Good. Now if you want to ask the price, you can say Berapa harga ini? How much is this? Luna: Berapa harga ini? Lucas: And if you want one kilogram, you say Boleh saya dapat satu kilo? Can I get one kilogram? Luna: Boleh saya dapat satu kilo? Lucas: Great. Let's put it together. Imagine you're at the market and you see some nice bayam. What do you say? Luna: Saya mahu bayam. Berapa harga ini? Lucas: Then the seller tells you the price. You say Boleh saya dapat satu kilo? Luna: Boleh saya dapat satu kilo? Lucas: Perfect. Now let's switch to brokoli. Same pattern. Luna: Saya mahu brokoli. Berapa harga ini? Boleh saya dapat satu kilo? Lucas: You've got it. Let's do a quick call and response. I'll say the English, you say the Malay. Ready? Luna: Ready. Lucas: I want spinach. Luna: Saya mahu bayam. Lucas: I want broccoli. Luna: Saya mahu brokoli. Lucas: How much is this? Luna: Berapa harga ini? Lucas: Can I get one kilogram?
