- 0:16SPEAKER_00: What is going on, ballers?
- 0:18SPEAKER_00: It's your boy MJ coming at you with another episode of the Fantasy Fumble.
- 0:22SPEAKER_00: Episode number 52.
- 0:24SPEAKER_00: Ready to go?
- 0:26SPEAKER_01: That's right.
- 0:26SPEAKER_01: Yeah, I meant to mention something when we hit 50, but I completely forgot until I was editing the episode.
- 0:32SPEAKER_00: So, you know, 52.
- 0:35SPEAKER_00: What is that?
- 0:35SPEAKER_00: Three years, man.
- 0:36SPEAKER_00: Three seasons we've been doing this, guys.
- 0:38SPEAKER_00: So we appreciate you guys for tuning in.
- 0:40SPEAKER_00: We got some great information in here for you guys.
- 0:44SPEAKER_00: Bring back some of those fun segments.
- 0:45SPEAKER_00: And then, of course, uh, we'll get into uh news and notes here.
- 0:49SPEAKER_00: But first, word from our sponsor.
- 0:52SPEAKER_00: Hey there.
- 0:53SPEAKER_00: My name is Manny James Gonzalez with PRP, and I'm a real estate agent here in Central Florida.
- 0:58SPEAKER_00: I'm a U.S.
- 0:59SPEAKER_00: Navy veteran, military relocation pro, and big supporter of 2A and veterans' rights.
- 1:05SPEAKER_00: My specialty is VA transactions.
- 1:07SPEAKER_00: I'm also experiencing all parts of real estate.
- 1:13SPEAKER_00: I've been living in Florida for over 20 years, and I can tell you we still believe in freedom down here.
- 1:18SPEAKER_00: One of the greatest job markets, excellent economy, and no state income tax.
- 1:24SPEAKER_00: When it comes to an agent, you want one that's gonna be honest, not afraid of a fight, and most importantly, willing to do the things that some agents aren't willing to do.
- 1:33SPEAKER_00: And what's that, Manny?
- 1:34SPEAKER_00: Two straight, Dan.
- 1:41SPEAKER_00: If you ever consider buying in Central Florida, you need somebody you can trust, and I got your sticks.
- 1:46SPEAKER_00: I'm Manny James Gonzalez.
- 1:48SPEAKER_00: Find land for the free and home for the brave.
- 2:07SPEAKER_01: Now, unfortunately, there are a list of injuries to discuss, and that's the bulk of the news going into week eight.
- 2:14SPEAKER_01: Uh, Texans wide receiver Nico Collins suffered a concussion.
- 2:18SPEAKER_01: Jaguars wide receiver Brian Thomas Jr.
- 2:21SPEAKER_01: appeared to suffer a shoulder injury late in the game.
- 2:24SPEAKER_01: I I haven't heard any updates on that just yet.
- 2:27SPEAKER_01: Uh, but as we all saw that fall from wide receiver Mike Evans, put him on IR.
- 2:35SPEAKER_01: He's expected to miss most of the regular season after suffering a broken collarbone.
- 2:40SPEAKER_01: And on the same team, Bucky Irving and Chris Godwin are both out for eight week for week eight as well.
- 2:48SPEAKER_01: Saints running back Kendra Miller suffered a torn ACL and will miss the rest of the season.
- 2:54SPEAKER_01: Vikings running back Aaron Jones, on a positive note, is coming back to practice and could even be active for week eight.
- 3:02SPEAKER_01: And same with tight end Brock Bowers.
- 3:05SPEAKER_01: He could be available in week eight.
- 3:07SPEAKER_01: Um actually, no, he's on a bye, so he could be available for week nine.
- 3:13SPEAKER_01: And Dolphins tight end Darren Waller was placed on IR after that pectoral injury.
- 3:19SPEAKER_01: And David Njoku is considered day-to-day because of his knee injury.
- 3:23SPEAKER_01: And something to keep an eye on this week.
- 3:27SPEAKER_01: We thought Lamar could be back a couple weeks ago, but he might not be ready to go again this week.
- 3:32SPEAKER_01: And they are in desperate need of a win, so that that's gonna say a lot if he doesn't play.
- 3:39SPEAKER_01: And uh right before we start recording, another announcement that Jaden Daniels is out for week eight due to a hamstring injury.
- 3:45SPEAKER_01: It's been a nagging injury, it's put him out again.
- 3:49SPEAKER_01: And quarterback Bryce Young is expected to miss week eight against the Bills with a high ankle sprain, and Andy Dalton is in line to start.
- 3:57SPEAKER_01: And quarterback Michael Phoenix Jr.
- 4:00SPEAKER_01: is considered day-to-day because of a bone bruise in his foot.
- 4:03SPEAKER_01: And Brock Purdy, his status is still up in the air for week eight, and same with Ricky Pearsall.
- 4:09SPEAKER_00: Man, that is a shit ton of injuries, man.
- 4:12SPEAKER_00: That is the injury apocalypse that we like to talk about, guys.
- 4:17SPEAKER_00: And it happens every year.
- 4:18SPEAKER_00: Now, let me let me tell you something, guys.
- 4:21SPEAKER_00: There's some guys that are gonna fill in these bye weeks, and they could save your fantasy season.
- 4:26SPEAKER_00: So we're gonna get into all that, but obviously, we're gonna talk about that during our trade targets.
- 4:38SPEAKER_00: Joe, I'm gonna leave this one out.
- 4:40SPEAKER_00: I gotta come out the gates.
- 4:41SPEAKER_00: All right.
- 4:42SPEAKER_00: So we were just talking about this before the the show started.
- 4:46SPEAKER_00: Ronday Gasden, you know, uh LA Chargers, he's somebody that popped up into my radar when I was doing film study.
- 4:54SPEAKER_00: So a little thing is I I watch every single game from Sunday on over, like from front to finish.
- 5:01SPEAKER_00: I watch everything just to kind of see guys that pop out, you know, just to kind of go over what his stats look like.
- 5:08SPEAKER_00: Uh last game he had 14 catches on 17 targets.
- 5:12SPEAKER_00: That means he was getting 8.5 targets a game, right?
- 5:15SPEAKER_00: The last two games.
- 5:16SPEAKER_00: And people were like, well, that's not a lot to go by, but keep in mind he has only been a starter for the last two games.
- 5:23SPEAKER_00: His actual trajectory has been on the uptick, you know, early on, right?
- 5:29SPEAKER_00: Like he wasn't getting a lot of play because he was a rookie.
- 5:31SPEAKER_00: He had Will Disley to compete with, and now that he's actually on there, he's a very athletic tight end, and he's gonna be a really good outlet for Justin Herbert because typically he's gonna be matched up against uh linebackers.
- 5:45SPEAKER_00: And if they don't have like a Patrick Queen type of coverage linebacker, you're gonna see him get open a lot more often.
- 5:51SPEAKER_00: So somebody he may not be that low now, you know, because unfortunately he did have that uh pretty incredible game, but he's somebody that should be on your radar.
- 6:01SPEAKER_00: Hopefully, he has a you know, you know, uh maybe a come back to earth moment and you get a solid floor out of him and then make your offer.
- 6:10SPEAKER_01: Yeah, I think he what you said about him is absolutely true.
- 6:13SPEAKER_01: He's just getting started, he's very athletic, plays like a wide receiver, and you know, he's gonna be running different plays, so there's gonna be times where they just dish it off to him.
- 6:24SPEAKER_01: I I feel like if you know you're looking for a tight end, he's a safer play than some of these.
- 6:30SPEAKER_01: Um, you know, don't get me wrong, all three wide receivers are total studs, but it's hard to gauge who's gonna be getting the ball every week.
- 6:37SPEAKER_01: And I feel like the tight end tight end just gives you a little bit more separation, so he should have a solid floor for, in my opinion, the rest of the season if he continues to get targets.
- 6:47SPEAKER_00: Oh yeah.
- 6:49SPEAKER_00: Now who's your target?
- 6:51SPEAKER_01: Uh, I wanted to just echo a player that you mentioned a couple weeks ago because I feel like he's becoming more relevant, and that's Tet McMillan.
- 7:00SPEAKER_01: Uh he has been solid all season, averaging 7.5 targets and 12 fantasy points per game.
- 7:07SPEAKER_01: But you you mentioned this briefly on Sunday.
- 7:10SPEAKER_01: While most people see the loss of Bryce Young for the next few weeks as a detriment to his production, I think it could be better with Andy Dalton.
- 7:19SPEAKER_01: You know, we I'm pretty sure you agree with me on this, but um you know, we've we've seen good games from Bryce Young, and like I said, Tet's been solid all season, but I feel like Andy Dalton's experience and actually lack of running ability should help Tet continue to see ample targets and a high floor every week.
- 7:38SPEAKER_01: So I think you could, you know, obviously say the opposite when you're trying to get him on your team, you know, say, hey, you got a backup quarterback now, his floor is going to be lower, and try to get him, and then turns out his floor is actually higher with someone like Andy Dalton.
- 7:55SPEAKER_01: So I just think, you know, week to week he should be a little bit more reliable with Andy Dalton.
- 8:00SPEAKER_01: Maybe I'm wrong.
- 8:01SPEAKER_01: And and Bryce Bryce Young is the better quarterback there, uh, even for fantasy purposes.
- 8:07SPEAKER_01: But Andy Dalton's always been a treat for fantasy football, and I think he's gonna continue.
- 8:13SPEAKER_00: Yeah, yeah, definitely.
- 8:15SPEAKER_00: And uh yeah, Tet McMillan.
- 8:17SPEAKER_00: I'm I'm so big on him that I got him in, you know, whatever, you know, both my leagues.
- 8:23SPEAKER_00: So I I I've been a big believer on him.
- 8:26SPEAKER_00: Like, yeah, so it should be a good yeah.
- 8:30SPEAKER_01: You you've been talking about him since preseason, so I know you're high on him.
- 8:35SPEAKER_00: Well, he's finally you're gonna see that actual growth because Andy Dalton's a he may not have as big of an arm as Bryce Young, but he has a more accurate arm.
- 8:45SPEAKER_00: And and a lot of those games, when you saw Tet McMillan play, he was open, the ball just didn't get to him.
- 8:52SPEAKER_00: And uh, and we're gonna have a lot better timing with Andy Dalton behind there because he knows, hey, it's probably gonna be a two-step drop and then release, right?
- 9:01SPEAKER_00: Whichever guy you find for your options, and more often than not, Tet McMillan was always open.
- 9:07SPEAKER_01: Yeah, the scrambling is something that can help, obviously.
- 9:10SPEAKER_01: But I feel like when I was talking about Dalton's experience, there's gonna be less of that and just more focused, accurate throws, you know.
- 9:18SPEAKER_01: So I feel like that's gonna be better for Tet.
- 9:20SPEAKER_01: And you know, regardless of how long it lasts, if it's just a few weeks, uh, great, get him on your team, have some boom weeks, but also the rest of the season, he's a solid play, regardless of who quarterbacks.
- 9:33SPEAKER_01: Now, there's one other guy I'd like to talk about, another quarterback, and that's Jackson Dart.
- 9:39SPEAKER_01: Uh, he's been pretty good over the last few weeks, even without neighbors on the field.
- 9:44SPEAKER_01: He's making big things happen through the air, and his legs give him a very safe floor.
- 9:48SPEAKER_01: You know, he's built a solid rapport with Wanda on Scattaboo, and he's even getting Theo Johnson involved at tight end.
- 9:55SPEAKER_01: And he's even had four touchdowns over the last four weeks.
- 9:59SPEAKER_01: And the chances are whoever in your league grab dart off waivers has him as a backup.
- 10:05SPEAKER_01: So make a low ball trade, get him on your roster.
- 10:08SPEAKER_01: I think honestly, he could be a reliable starter for the rest of the season just based on what I've seen the last few weeks.
- 10:14SPEAKER_01: So I think now's the time to get him.
- 10:17SPEAKER_00: Yeah, hopefully you don't have anybody trying to oversell him, right?
- 10:21SPEAKER_00: Because remember, if they're trying to get this top, you know, 30-point price, make sure you're paying that, you know, 15 to 20 point a game guy, right?
- 10:30SPEAKER_00: You know, play that rookie angle because you definitely don't want to, you know, give them any implication on what you see in him or the benefit, right?
- 10:39SPEAKER_00: So I would just want to have that upper edge.
- 10:42SPEAKER_00: Now, for me, I I do have another guy that I wanted to talk about here.
- 10:45SPEAKER_00: Um, and he's somebody that you know some people may not believe in him all the way, but he's somebody that I think is finally gonna live up to that potential.
- 10:55SPEAKER_00: And that's Travis Hunter.
- 10:57SPEAKER_00: Uh, I mean, he had that everybody's gonna say it's a one game, it's an anomaly, you know, anomaly, anomaly, monopoly, anomaly, and uh, and honestly, man, lean colon Liam Cohen said it in the press conference.
- 11:16SPEAKER_00: He's gonna get him more looks, he's gonna be playing full time, he's gonna have design plays, and and they got him to play for something other than a fucking wide receiver screen or slant, which I'm happy to see, right?
- 11:28SPEAKER_00: Because slant, you have to have a certain type of receiver.
- 11:31SPEAKER_00: He's not a big physical and traffic receiver, right?
- 11:34SPEAKER_00: You got you need a guy like JSN.
- 11:37SPEAKER_00: He's he's compact and powerful, you know.
- 11:40SPEAKER_00: You got a guy down there, uh Ted McMillan, right?
- 11:43SPEAKER_00: Those are guys you want in your slant.
- 11:45SPEAKER_00: So a guy like Travis Hunter, he's gonna keep getting those big splash plays.
- 11:49SPEAKER_00: And if he's consistently getting play at full time, I mean, look at his last name: 12 cat uh 12 catches on 21 targets.
- 11:57SPEAKER_00: Uh that's in the last two games, 116 yards and a touchdown.
- 12:02SPEAKER_00: You know, so he he's somebody that you are gonna you're gonna have some really big weeks, but I think overall you're gonna have a really solid floor from here on out at least 15 a game.
- 12:14SPEAKER_01: Yeah, and you know I was frustrated with him.
- 12:16SPEAKER_01: I had him in pretty much every league and either traded him or dropped him.
- 12:21SPEAKER_01: You saw the one in one of your leagues, I dropped him, and you know, you picked him up right away, and you're like, man, thanks for dropping him.
- 12:28SPEAKER_01: And I and I just was straight up said, Yeah, he's gonna have a good season.
- 12:32SPEAKER_01: I'm just too frustrated right now to keep him.
- 12:33SPEAKER_01: And I mean, I'm pretty deep at wide receiver.
- 12:36SPEAKER_01: But if you look at the last three weeks, he's been playing on offense more and more.
- 12:40SPEAKER_01: So I think last week was his highest snap count on offense so far this season, and I think that's a sign of things to come for sure.
- 12:48SPEAKER_01: And think about it, man.
- 12:50SPEAKER_01: If Brian Thomas Jr.'s out, you know, he's gonna get fed even more targets.
- 12:56SPEAKER_00: Hopefully he's not out because if you got Brian Thomas Jr., you got him in what second or third round and 12-man drafts.
- 13:03SPEAKER_00: Obviously, you know, anything less than that is gonna be later, but he's somebody you had to invest in early.
- 13:09SPEAKER_01: Oh, yeah, he's he's a second and third round and um has not been living up to that so far this yeah uh season.
- 13:16SPEAKER_00: 12-man PPR, fellas.
- 13:18SPEAKER_00: If you're doing anything less than that, then don't be in a 10-team league, man.
- 13:24SPEAKER_01: Get out, just get two more friends to join the league.
- 13:27SPEAKER_00: Add two more.
- 13:28SPEAKER_00: They could just be donation buddies, right?
- 13:30SPEAKER_00: You get them in there, yeah.
- 13:31SPEAKER_00: They do fancy football and figure out that you know they're not just not very good at it, but thank you for the donation.
- 13:40SPEAKER_01: Now let's get into our hot matchups.
- 13:47SPEAKER_01: Now, who's your hot matchup?
- 13:50SPEAKER_00: For my hot matchup was a team that you shitted on with the injuries.
- 13:54SPEAKER_00: Uh Jaden Daniels, uh Washington Commanders going over and playing in Kansas City.
- 14:05SPEAKER_00: I think that the Commanders might score a few times.
- 14:08SPEAKER_00: I don't think the Chiefs are gonna really dominate them, even with Mary Lydia.
- 14:12SPEAKER_00: He might have that one good game here for the season.
- 14:15SPEAKER_00: You know, that could be it.
- 14:16SPEAKER_00: But I know the Chiefs for sure are gonna want to put it on them because right now they're trying to prove to the league that they want they're the best team in the league, you know, and the only way they can do that is by you know start spanking some other teams on the way.
- 14:30SPEAKER_00: So, bro, they're gonna be running up the score, beating them, trying to humiliate them.
- 14:34SPEAKER_00: Because right now they they're a pissed-off team that are looking to get revenge, man.
- 14:38SPEAKER_00: And right now, to be honest, uh the NFL's up for taking because the Philadelphia Eagles just really don't have it right now, man.
- 14:46SPEAKER_00: They they don't have you know that same discipline that they need.
- 14:51SPEAKER_00: So I'm hoping that BG, Brandon Graham coming back, does that for Philly, gives them that veteran leadership on the defensive side of the ball, because that could really help us and Jalen Carter flourish.
- 15:04SPEAKER_00: So regardless, uh I'm excited to see them play on Monday night.
- 15:09SPEAKER_00: It's gonna be a good game and it's gonna be some fireworks.
- 15:13SPEAKER_01: Yeah, I gotta say, you were right about Mahomes.
- 15:16SPEAKER_01: I did not have him, I had him just outside of my top 10 in preseason rankings at 11.
- 15:22SPEAKER_01: And I know you were much higher on him.
- 15:24SPEAKER_01: I was like, man, I got to see it again.
- 15:26SPEAKER_01: Well, I saw it.
- 15:27SPEAKER_01: He's amazing, he's got all his weapons back.
- 15:30SPEAKER_01: I think that's gonna be a really high-scoring game because the commanders are gonna have to play catch-up.
- 15:35SPEAKER_01: I'm not exactly sure what's up with Debo and Terry McLaurin, but we know that Jaden Daniels is out and that their run game has been very inconsistent and the past games have been very inconsistent.
- 15:48SPEAKER_01: But if it's a high-scoring game, you can plug in your starters at wide receiver and be pretty confident that they're gonna have a good floor because they're gonna be playing catch up because the Chiefs are dominant right now.
- 16:00SPEAKER_00: Yeah, and I looked that up too.
- 16:02SPEAKER_00: I went back to my 2025 preseason rankings, and I had Mahomes at number six for quarterback.
- 16:07SPEAKER_01: Yeah, I knew you I knew you had him much higher than I did, and I went back to check too last week because I was like, I don't think I had him inside of my top ten.
- 16:15SPEAKER_00: Yeah, he's uh he's doing better than expected, man.
- 16:18SPEAKER_00: Josh Allen, obviously, he's been having up and ups and downs, right?
- 16:22SPEAKER_00: And uh that's just uh I know that I had Josh Allen last year as well, and I traded him because I gave up on him early.
- 16:31SPEAKER_00: Like he was having those ups and downs for the first you know eight, nine weeks of the season, and I got rid of him finally.
- 16:37SPEAKER_01: He does that a lot.
- 16:38SPEAKER_01: I did that a few years ago too, where I got a little frustrated with him a couple weeks in a row and I traded him, and it was a stupid trade.
- 16:45SPEAKER_01: Uh, I think I actually had JK Dobbins in that trade, and he got hurt right after that, too.
- 16:50SPEAKER_01: So, anyway, I I feel like guys, including your Eagles, I think they are disciplined enough where they're gonna be fine rest of the season.
- 17:00SPEAKER_01: And you know, we we've seen their their past game be up and down, but altogether, I think you know, all three of those teams are gonna be solid rest of the season.
- 17:11SPEAKER_01: Now, for my hot matchup, I have the Cowboys versus the Broncos.
- 17:20SPEAKER_01: For the same reasons I discussed about the Cowboys in my hot matchup last week, they're solid again this week.
- 17:26SPEAKER_01: They have the best offense and the worst defense.
- 17:29SPEAKER_01: Statistically, they are at the absolute end of each spectrum, which is a perfect recipe for fantasy football.
- 17:36SPEAKER_01: Uh, Dak, Javante, CD, Piggins, Ferguson, start all of them.
- 17:40SPEAKER_01: No questions asked.
- 17:42SPEAKER_01: The Broncos have one of the best defenses in the league.
- 17:45SPEAKER_01: I understand that, but it doesn't matter.
- 17:47SPEAKER_01: You got you are starting those guys, they are lineup locks.
- 17:50SPEAKER_01: And then the Broncos, they're a top 10 offense too.
- 17:54SPEAKER_01: And up against the Cowboys defense, we should expect some of those numbers that we normally see to be inflated a little bit.
- 18:01SPEAKER_01: And Bo Nicks and Sutton, in my opinion, are locked in.
- 18:04SPEAKER_01: And despite J.K.
- 18:06SPEAKER_01: Dobbins having you know not the greatest numbers the last couple weeks, this should be a really good matchup for him and a bounce back week.
- 18:14SPEAKER_01: And last week he still had over 80 rushing yards.
- 18:17SPEAKER_01: He just couldn't find the end zone.
- 18:19SPEAKER_01: So I'm I'm pretty high on him this week, too.
- 18:21SPEAKER_01: And even the other wide receivers like Troy Franklin, who actually had 10 targets and 13 fantasy points last week, and Marvin Mims, who had seven targets and 16 fantasy points last week.
- 18:31SPEAKER_01: I feel like during a bye week with all these injuries, you could plug them in, you know, hope for the best, and you might get lucky with another another double-digit fantasy week.
- 18:39SPEAKER_01: And even Evan Ingram, he should give you a respectable floor at tight end this week.
- 18:45SPEAKER_00: Yeah, and and uh somebody that I was um definitely high on, that I I still have a positive outlook on.
- 18:54SPEAKER_00: You touched on for the Broncos.
- 18:56SPEAKER_00: Um RJ Harvey, you know, he's somebody that I think has all the skill set, right?
- 19:02SPEAKER_00: He could pass, excuse me, he could catch out of the the the flat, he could run the ball, you know, he's had some good gains when he's been featured, but he hasn't been featured all you know uh as the primary back because obviously J.K.
- 19:16SPEAKER_00: Dobbins has been excellent and efficient this year.
- 19:20SPEAKER_00: So uh I'm hoping that they use him uh more in the future.
- 19:24SPEAKER_00: But there was uh uh at the end of the day, the Cowboys are gonna do what they do and score points, and it's gonna be a fun matchup for sure.
- 19:33SPEAKER_01: And I think they will use RJ Harvey.
- 19:36SPEAKER_01: Uh, I just don't know when, you know, it might not be for another month.
- 19:40SPEAKER_01: Um be patient.
- 19:41SPEAKER_01: He's not getting the touches, but yeah, I'd say be patient too, especially with Dobbins as your starter.
- 19:47SPEAKER_01: He's got that injury history that makes you nervous.
- 19:50SPEAKER_00: Like James Connor, right?
- 19:52SPEAKER_00: I say it every year.
- 19:53SPEAKER_01: Oh, that's true, every year, yeah.
- 19:55SPEAKER_00: I know, right?
- 19:56SPEAKER_00: You can say it every year for the last five years.
- 19:57SPEAKER_00: Uh, to his credit, he's been healthy for the last two, right?
- 20:00SPEAKER_01: Before and when he is healthy, he's a stud.
- 20:04SPEAKER_00: Man, 25 points a game, brother.
- 20:07SPEAKER_00: But now let you know, let's go ahead and get into the cold call of the week.
- 20:16SPEAKER_01: My cold call is the Browns versus the Patriots.
- 20:23SPEAKER_01: Despite both teams scoring 31 points last week, I do not expect the same output this week.
- 20:30SPEAKER_01: The Browns defense is firing on all cylinders and was incredible against Miami.
- 20:35SPEAKER_01: Obviously, a game against the Dolphins is much easier than the Patriots, but they've been rock solid all year, and I expect them to show up again this week.
- 20:43SPEAKER_01: And the Patriots defense is legit too.
- 20:45SPEAKER_01: They're a borderline top 10, and they're going up against one of the worst offenses in the league.
- 20:50SPEAKER_01: The Browns, I'm starting Quinshaunt Judkins, of course.
- 20:53SPEAKER_01: Uh, despite the Patriots having a top three run defense, I still feel like he's a lineup lock.
- 20:59SPEAKER_01: It's just that you've got to lower your expectations when you're going against a team like the Patriots, who is top three against the run.
- 21:07SPEAKER_01: Um, and although last week was kind of disappointing, I might consider uh Fannon at tight end as well.
- 21:14SPEAKER_01: It kind of depends on the Joku and the tight end situation for you, but the Patriots have struggled a little bit against the pass.
- 21:21SPEAKER_01: So he could be a good play.
- 21:23SPEAKER_01: And for the Patriots, it's a little bit harder to gauge.
- 21:26SPEAKER_01: They're a good football team, but as I mentioned last week, you don't know who's gonna produce each game.
- 21:32SPEAKER_01: So Drake May, I feel like he's proven himself as a lineup lock until we have reason to see otherwise.
- 21:38SPEAKER_01: And despite the ups and downs every week, I'm probably gonna start Diggs and Ramondre, but with a much lower ceiling because you're going against the Cleveland Browns.
- 21:49SPEAKER_01: And I think Kayshawn Booney will be a disappointment if you're expecting the points we've seen from him over the last couple of weeks.
- 21:56SPEAKER_01: I would not be confident with him and my him in my lineup.
- 21:59unknown: Really.
- 22:00SPEAKER_01: Any week, but especially this week.
- 22:01SPEAKER_01: And another guy that's similar to RJ Harvey, uh, Trevion Henderson.
- 22:06SPEAKER_01: I thought he was gonna take over the Patriots backfield by now, but we gotta remember he is a rookie, it takes time.
- 22:12SPEAKER_01: Uh, but I feel like he should be on your bench until we see something from him.
- 22:15SPEAKER_01: And you know, the Patriots are committed to Armandre, so Bob Belight is sad ass mouth.
- 22:22SPEAKER_01: I know, but they they are gonna continue feeding him, and Trevion's just not getting the touches uh to have in your even your double flex.
- 22:30SPEAKER_01: I wouldn't put him on, I'd put him on my bench.
- 22:33SPEAKER_00: You know, I star him.
- 22:35SPEAKER_00: I had I had injuries.
- 22:36SPEAKER_00: I've had players that have been out, so I've been forced to put him in my flex.
- 22:40SPEAKER_00: And Trevion Henderson, man, had he, I think he had a zero point game last week or the week before.
- 22:47SPEAKER_00: It was terrible.
- 22:48SPEAKER_00: Uh, the Patriots are actually using him less than when they started.
- 22:51SPEAKER_00: It's crazy.
- 22:52SPEAKER_00: It is crazy, yeah.
- 22:54SPEAKER_00: Now, Joe, for my cold call, I'm gonna have to say Dolphins versus the Falcons.
- 23:04SPEAKER_00: Now hear me out.
- 23:05SPEAKER_00: I know the Falcons have Bijan Robinson, and he is a must-start.
- 23:09SPEAKER_00: Drake London's a must-start.
- 23:11SPEAKER_00: You know, I'm just concerned about the competitiveness of this game.
- 23:16SPEAKER_00: The Dolphins are playing, and although I know Devin A-Chan is a must-start, no one else on that offense is.
- 23:23SPEAKER_00: Darren Waller was the last guy, and he just got put on IR.
- 23:26SPEAKER_00: So you're not gonna play anybody other than A-Chan.
- 23:30SPEAKER_00: And all, you know, uh, all the Falcons have to do is stop A-Chan.
- 23:35SPEAKER_00: They have a great secondary, solid front four, you know, so they're gonna be able to maintain pressure.
- 23:41SPEAKER_00: And I just don't think it's gonna be a really good day for them.
- 23:45SPEAKER_00: Falcons, on the other hand, going up against a terrible defense, you know, they're gonna put up their points.
- 23:50SPEAKER_00: Those guys, I'm starting with confidence, you know.
- 23:53SPEAKER_00: But I'm I'm keeping Mooney on the bench, I'm keeping, you know, Kyle Pitts on the bench, unless you you, you know, don't have a better option, right?
- 24:02SPEAKER_00: He should have been your backup, but it's just it's just not a a good game that I want to see.
- 24:07SPEAKER_00: But uh, like I said, if you have B John, you're probably gonna rake in two or three touchdowns.
- 24:13SPEAKER_01: I think that game depends a lot on what uh what the Falcons decide to do.
- 24:22SPEAKER_01: If they just want to kick the teeth down the Miami Dolphins' throat and really put the pedal to the metal and keep their starters in the whole game, that could actually be you know really good for Bijan, Drake London, and even Kyle Pitts.
- 24:37SPEAKER_01: But if they decide to take a more reserved approach and they just get up by three scores and going into the second half, you know, rest their starters, that's the only way I could see it really being a low-scoring game.
- 24:51SPEAKER_01: Otherwise, I feel like you know it's gonna be a really high-scoring game because they're gonna the Miami Dolphins are gonna be down so big that they've got to play catch up.
- 25:01SPEAKER_01: Maybe they get a couple scores and bring it back to a one-score game, and then Bijan and Drake London continue to light it up.
- 25:09SPEAKER_01: So I could see that going either direction, but it could just be a slaughter that ends up being like, you know, between 30 and 40 total points.
- 25:18SPEAKER_00: I mean, honestly, I think Miami is not gonna get more than 20 points for the game.
- 25:23SPEAKER_00: I think they're gonna get absolutely thrashed by the Falcons defense.
- 25:28SPEAKER_00: I mean, the secondary I talked about them, but they have some studs back there, and I think they're gonna get I don't think they're gonna run up the score on Miami because why kick them while they're down?
- 25:38SPEAKER_00: Everybody knows their shit, you know.
- 25:40SPEAKER_00: They're not but it is different if you're playing like a a good team, you know, like the Buccaneers, the Eagles, right?
- 25:46SPEAKER_00: Like the you know, Steelers, people that are running for the division, you know, trying to take the division.
- 25:52SPEAKER_00: Those are people that you know, teams that you run up the score on because those are the contenders, you know.
- 25:57SPEAKER_00: But and typically those are games where you get to see what your young guys have, um, hence what the Chiefs did.
- 26:04SPEAKER_00: Right.
- 26:05SPEAKER_00: So I expect the Falcons to kind of do the same.
- 26:07SPEAKER_00: You're gonna probably see some Algier love, you know, by the second half there.
- 26:12SPEAKER_01: Hey, might be a sneaky play if you're in need with these injuries and bye weeks.
- 26:17SPEAKER_01: Flex only, guys, not a starter.
- 26:20SPEAKER_01: Of course.
- 26:23SPEAKER_01: Now let's get into our shit calls.
- 26:33SPEAKER_01: Now to pick up where I left off about Trevion Henderson.
- 26:38SPEAKER_01: About a month ago, I did a player profile and encouraged people to trade for him.
- 26:43SPEAKER_01: The first week after that, he was good.
- 26:46SPEAKER_01: He got I think 13 or 14 fantasy points.
- 26:49SPEAKER_01: And then the next three weeks, Mike Vrabel put him on the back burner.
- 26:53SPEAKER_01: He's just not getting the touches.
- 26:55SPEAKER_01: So as I mentioned earlier, he should be benched until we see something from him.
- 27:00SPEAKER_01: And if you did make a trade for him, hopefully you didn't trade too much.
- 27:05SPEAKER_00: Yeah, I I totally get that, man.
- 27:09SPEAKER_00: I've been on the Trevion Henderson train since the all season two.
- 27:12SPEAKER_00: I'm just so I'm appalled to see the situation that is going on there.
- 27:17SPEAKER_00: That travesty and New England, they still prefer Fumbalitis or Mondre, you know, and the guy is on what his third year in the league anyway.
- 27:26SPEAKER_00: So, like you guys like that, you you know, you invested a high draft pick in Travion, wasn't he like a second rounder or something like that?
- 27:33SPEAKER_00: Yeah, I think I don't I don't know what round he was, but second or third.
- 27:36SPEAKER_00: He got he got taken after Caleb Johnson.
- 27:40SPEAKER_00: Now, for my shit call, you know, I I was trying to look at some things that I um did, you know, or I said, and it's not typically things that I said that end up being off, right?
- 27:51SPEAKER_00: Like you can't always predict scores of games, obviously.
- 27:54SPEAKER_00: If I could, I'd be rich off gambling.
- 27:57SPEAKER_00: Um, you know, but what I can tell you is that uh I made a bad play.
- 28:03SPEAKER_00: So my shit call was I was getting to the Monday night game, and I had Tez Johnson for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on my flex all week since Wednesday.
- 28:14SPEAKER_00: He's been my flex.
- 28:16SPEAKER_00: Game time, I ended up dropping him for Jaden Higgins, and Jaden Higgins played 56 snaps, and you know how many receptions he got?
- 28:27SPEAKER_00: Zero Zilch, he didn't do a fucking thing, and you know what?
- 28:33SPEAKER_00: It's not that he hasn't had an opportunity, he was a second-round draft pick, right?
- 28:37SPEAKER_00: Or or four, but sorry, it was a second, but there's somebody that do want to talk about on that team, and and that's somebody that didn't bring anybody's attention, but Jalen Noel.
- 28:50SPEAKER_00: This guy, when he gets touches, he capitalizes.
- 28:55SPEAKER_00: He had four receptions for 77 yards last game, and he had seven targets, but he's on the uptick as well.
- 29:01SPEAKER_00: Since CJ Stroud started playing better, his his point, his targets have been going up.
- 29:08SPEAKER_00: And now, if you talk about a concussion for Nico Collins, who's gonna step up?
- 29:13SPEAKER_00: Jillian Noel is gonna step up, right?
- 29:15SPEAKER_00: Jaden Higgins might get lucky here and there, but I don't think he has the same drive as this guy.
- 29:21SPEAKER_00: So, you know, right now, if you look at him, he's only two percent of the leagues.
- 29:25SPEAKER_00: He's not somebody that's on anybody's radar.
- 29:29SPEAKER_00: 1%, excuse me, 1% in league, 0% start.
- 29:33SPEAKER_00: And I'm right now, I'm starting a fucker.
- 29:38SPEAKER_01: For the Kate Otten.
- 29:40SPEAKER_01: With that, I love I love the Kate Otten start, though.
- 29:43SPEAKER_01: I gotta say, man.
- 29:44SPEAKER_01: Kate Kate Kate Otten.
- 29:46SPEAKER_01: We saw what Kate Otten did for a month last year.
- 29:49SPEAKER_01: He could he could have another good month coming up.
- 29:52SPEAKER_00: Yeah, I know that was mirrored backwards, guys.
- 29:55SPEAKER_00: But if you you know, if you saw it there, I have Gaston, Jalen Noel.
- 29:59SPEAKER_00: These are guys I believe in not just because they're my only shot with all the damn injuries I've had.
- 30:05SPEAKER_00: I've had Bucky Irvin out for the last five weeks.
- 30:07SPEAKER_01: You're still in the top three in both leagues, bro.
- 30:10SPEAKER_00: And with and I've been I've been getting squashed lately.
- 30:15SPEAKER_00: But uh, like I said, the uptick, man, that weeks 14 through 17, those are the ones that matter, guys, right?
- 30:21SPEAKER_00: Just get that momentum, get some early wins in, you know, make some sacrifices, and then play the long game after that.
- 30:29SPEAKER_00: Because at the end of the day, as long as you could come in at you know seven and eight, right?
- 30:33SPEAKER_00: And barely squeak into the playoffs, and your team just catches fire.
- 30:38SPEAKER_00: Like you're saying, Minnesota's schedule, Detroit schedule.
- 30:41SPEAKER_00: I love the LA Chargers schedule, second half of the season.
- 30:45SPEAKER_00: I also love the Tampa Bay Buccaneers schedule.
- 30:48SPEAKER_00: And if you if you can buy on Bucky, man, if someone's will willing to take take Bucky this week because they need that bye week starter, and they just giving up on Bucky, buy low on or you could buy at price for Bucky.
- 31:02SPEAKER_00: Yeah, Bucky is guaranteed.
- 31:04SPEAKER_00: Next week is the boat uh bye week for the Bucks.
- 31:06SPEAKER_00: He's coming up after that, and bro, he's just gonna be on a fucking tear because all that workload Rashad White got is now gonna go to Bucky.
- 31:16SPEAKER_00: Oh, yeah.
- 31:16SPEAKER_00: And Buck and then and then Rashad White's gonna get the Sean Tucker role, right?
- 31:21SPEAKER_00: Like a few touches here and there, a couple goal line touches back, you know, make him happy.
- 31:26SPEAKER_01: Just like it was before, pretty much.
- 31:28SPEAKER_01: You know, it's not gonna be not gonna be much different.
- 31:31SPEAKER_01: It's just that Bucky's gonna turn it on, he's gonna finish strong.
- 31:34SPEAKER_00: Yes, sir.
- 31:35SPEAKER_00: And in Mecca Abuka, that guy is fin, he'll be back.
- 31:39SPEAKER_01: Hey, and you know, I gotta say, man, Jaden Daniels, or I'm sorry, Jaden Higgins was another guy drafted in just about every league because I had really high hopes for him, and Christian Kirk was injured.
- 31:51SPEAKER_01: I'm like, oh, Kirk's out, Higgins is gonna be the number two.
- 31:55SPEAKER_01: Nope, did absolutely nothing.
- 31:57SPEAKER_01: And that's how I feel about uh you know the rest of the season is like even with Nico out and Christian Kirk, you know, being back in the mix, but still a little banged up.
- 32:09SPEAKER_01: I don't expect anything from Higgins.
- 32:10SPEAKER_01: And I hope I'm wrong, and I can grab him off the waiver wire again.
- 32:13SPEAKER_01: But it's been disappointing because I had high hopes for him, and he has not been he has not produced anything.
- 32:20SPEAKER_00: Well, tell you, he Higgins shot is gone, brother.
- 32:24SPEAKER_00: Jalen Noel is the guy now, so picking him up now.
- 32:27SPEAKER_00: One percent own, zero percent start.
- 32:30SPEAKER_00: I'm that zero percent.
- 32:32SPEAKER_01: Hey, if you just pick him up and put them on your bench, if you're not confident, if you don't want to start them, totally understandable.
- 32:38SPEAKER_01: Keep him on your bench, see what happens.
- 32:40SPEAKER_01: You see how often I do that, and you see I have Taysom Hill in every single league because Kendra Miller's out for the season.
- 32:48SPEAKER_01: If they just give those Kendra, yeah.
- 32:51SPEAKER_01: If they just give the can't like if they split it between Alvin Kamara and Taysom Hill, sometimes five touches is all Taysom Hill needs to have a respectable day for a tight end.
- 33:01SPEAKER_01: You know, come on.
- 33:02SPEAKER_00: Hey, I agree.
- 33:09SPEAKER_00: I'm sorry, ballers.
- 33:11SPEAKER_00: It's that time again.
- 33:12SPEAKER_00: We gotta go, man.
- 33:13SPEAKER_00: It's the end of the show.
- 33:15SPEAKER_00: You know, we wanna thank you again.
- 33:17SPEAKER_00: Episode number 52, it's a milestone, man.
- 33:20SPEAKER_00: Consistency, you know, we want to get this uh continue to go, right?
- 33:24SPEAKER_00: Like this is us.
- 33:26SPEAKER_00: So we always joke around about sharing it, but but do share, keep downloading and keep showing your support, guys, on those videos.
- 33:33SPEAKER_00: We do really appreciate that.
- 33:35SPEAKER_01: Yeah, man.
- 33:36SPEAKER_01: We as you mentioned earlier, fantasy football is gambling, and it's tough to be right about everything.
- 33:42SPEAKER_01: And and we, you know, we have missed calls, but we've been pretty solid.
- 33:47SPEAKER_01: If you look at our track history, we've been very solid over the last three years, and we will continue to do so because we just watch the football games on Sunday and make pretty general, obvious assessments that you know maybe your league members aren't paying attention to.
- 34:02SPEAKER_01: So, like, comment, subscribe, all that good stuff.
- 34:06SPEAKER_01: We appreciate the support.
- 34:08SPEAKER_00: Yep.
- 34:08SPEAKER_00: And we'll see you here next week.
- 34:10SPEAKER_00: Baller, same time, same place.
- 34:13SPEAKER_00: You have a great night, be safe, and we'll see you again, guys.
- 34:16SPEAKER_00: We appreciate you so much.
