- 1:35Speaker 1: The popcorn moment, Let's go, Let's go, let's go, let's go.
- 1:39Speaker 2: It's a story you need to hear to believe. Then
- 1:43Speaker 2: grab your popcorn because there is more.
- 1:48Speaker 1: Now.
- 1:50Speaker 2: I am clear that there are people who serve us
- 1:58Speaker 2: in office who I don't leave you the job, and
- 2:00Speaker 2: some who I have celebrated. I think that when people,
- 2:06Speaker 2: even if you disagree with them on a whole host
- 2:08Speaker 2: of things, are doing something you agree with, you should
- 2:10Speaker 2: say so.
- 2:11Speaker 1: You should say so, and you should be clear about it.
- 2:14Speaker 2: So, for example, when I see that people are giving
- 2:16Speaker 2: Nick Shirley, who created the videos out of Minneapolis about
- 2:19Speaker 2: the fraud, they're giving him all the adulation for the
- 2:23Speaker 2: videos he's creating out of Los Angeles and the hospice fraud.
- 2:28Speaker 2: I don't say that he doesn't deserve credit for the
- 2:30Speaker 2: videos and the things that he has exposed. But Christian
- 2:33Speaker 2: Hartzock did that before him. And the original story came
- 2:38Speaker 2: from CBS. If we want CBS News and all these
- 2:44Speaker 2: news organizations to actually engage in news and not narrative,
- 2:51Speaker 2: we have to celebrate when they do news right.
- 2:55Speaker 1: Same thing is true about the Indie Star.
- 2:58Speaker 2: There are some really wretched people who are part of
- 3:01Speaker 2: the Indie Star, really awful.
- 3:05Speaker 1: I make no bones about it at all.
- 3:08Speaker 2: When the Indie Star does a story discussing the issues
- 3:12Speaker 2: with Marty Polio, the head of Ivy Tech. Ivy Tech
- 3:16Speaker 2: is outrageously important to our future, a guy who is
- 3:19Speaker 2: running the school district down in Louisville and left them
- 3:22Speaker 2: with financial mismanagement, disaster. The reporting from the Louisville Journal
- 3:28Speaker 2: Courier is massive, and now the Indie Star is starting
- 3:31Speaker 2: to talk about it.
- 3:31Speaker 1: We've talked about it.
- 3:32Speaker 2: I say cheers good on you when they write about
- 3:36Speaker 2: Larry Nasser. I say cheers good on you when they
- 3:41Speaker 2: engage nonsense, especially in opinion, and try and pass it
- 3:46Speaker 2: off with as news one sided pablem never mind just
- 3:52Speaker 2: what Greg Doyle puts out there, we give it the
- 3:55Speaker 2: derision that it is due. I don't decide to talk
- 4:03Speaker 2: about Democrat perennial candidate destiny wells.
- 4:06Speaker 1: Because it's easy pickings, and it is.
- 4:11Speaker 2: But rather it is the madness of a position that
- 4:14Speaker 2: is not to have a position, but to say, look
- 4:17Speaker 2: how snarky I can be on social media. I have tried,
- 4:21Speaker 2: in the back and forth on Twitter to make this
- 4:24Speaker 2: statement as clear.
- 4:25Speaker 1: She doesn't care. It's not interesting to her.
- 4:29Speaker 2: She believes that strength, vigor, power, substantiation of a concept
- 4:35Speaker 2: comes from how much you can hit back when I
- 4:40Speaker 2: discuss some of her conversations and concepts. Is nonsense and
- 4:44Speaker 2: she is nonsensical. Her response was this from a guy
- 4:49Speaker 2: who went to Springfield, Ohio to see if it was
- 4:51Speaker 2: true if people were eating cats and dogs. Trump said,
- 4:56Speaker 2: they're eating the dogs or eating the cats, and myself
- 4:58Speaker 2: and Fingers were away.
- 4:59Speaker 1: We went to Springfield. We talk to people, How is
- 5:01Speaker 1: it affecting them? What's actually going on? Dogs and cats
- 5:05Speaker 1: weren't being eaten, geese were being eaten.
- 5:08Speaker 2: There's a massive housing problem of these illegal immigrants, or
- 5:11Speaker 2: are these people on temporary protected status can't drive? But
- 5:14Speaker 2: yet there was not an anger in Springfield, and there
- 5:18Speaker 2: were people thrilled that the factories had workers, because oh,
- 5:22Speaker 2: they're such great workers. And it led us to the
- 5:24Speaker 2: question of is this temporary protected status nothing more than
- 5:27Speaker 2: a jobs program.
- 5:30Speaker 1: She thought the hit was to come at.
- 5:33Speaker 2: Me for actually going and seeing with my own eyes
- 5:36Speaker 2: and bringing it back to you.
- 5:38Speaker 1: That's weird. Then there's this Destiny.
- 5:44Speaker 2: Wells is running for the House of Representatives. She wants
- 5:49Speaker 2: the nomination over Andre Carson, and so she has decided
- 5:56Speaker 2: that the attack on Iran is absolutely unaccepted, and she
- 6:01Speaker 2: starts this way in a video she put out on Twitter.
- 6:07Speaker 3: X some of you already know this about me. I've
- 6:09Speaker 3: been in the Army across different components, Reserve, National Guard, mobilized,
- 6:13Speaker 3: state side, deployed abroad for twenty three years. I'm a
- 6:16Speaker 3: lieutenant colonel, I'm an intelligence officer, and I'm married to
- 6:19Speaker 3: a retired officer. And so when I look at what's
- 6:22Speaker 3: happening in the Middle East right now, we as a
- 6:23Speaker 3: family take it very seriously. In the last couple of days,
- 6:27Speaker 3: I learned, you know that the officer killed on the
- 6:29Speaker 3: Old Dominion campus was an Army lieutenant colonel forty one.
- 6:31Speaker 3: You're younger than me, A year group behind me. He
- 6:34Speaker 3: was murdered by a convicted federal terrorist right in front
- 6:36Speaker 3: of his cadets. And when I heard that, I was
- 6:38Speaker 3: reduced to tears. It felt so personal. But I'm telling
- 6:42Speaker 3: you this, Central Indiana, we are about to find out
- 6:44Speaker 3: that it is personally here too, you know the recent
- 6:48Speaker 3: ka They're going to reach our community very shortly. When
- 6:51Speaker 3: you spend your life in uniform, unfortunately, you learn that
- 6:53Speaker 3: headlines eventually become names, and the names eventually become people,
- 6:58Speaker 3: not just from your own community, but sometimes flocking. You know.
- 7:02Speaker 2: So far, aside from the fact that she always wants
- 7:05Speaker 2: to talk about her military record but doesn't get deep
- 7:09Speaker 2: into it, there's nothing that she said here that's anything
- 7:14Speaker 2: other than the standard fair fine, no issue.
- 7:18Speaker 3: And that's why I refuse to stay quiet. Right now,
- 7:21Speaker 3: people ask me, you know, who do you think you are?
- 7:24Speaker 3: Why are you challenging the way things are done? Why
- 7:26Speaker 3: are you challenging incumbent? And my answer is simple, I
- 7:29Speaker 3: will never stop fighting from my country. I'm a soldier always,
- 7:33Speaker 3: and I've sent decades inside organizations learning what healthy leadership
- 7:36Speaker 3: looks like.
- 7:38Speaker 2: I don't know how others who serve in the military
- 7:42Speaker 2: view those kinds of things. When people who have served
- 7:44Speaker 2: say I'm a soldier and I'm this, and I'm that,
- 7:46Speaker 2: and go back to that almost as a shield. Is
- 7:49Speaker 2: that standard fair? Is that acceptable? Is that consider common practice?
- 7:52Speaker 2: Or does it bother? And is it an individual thing
- 7:54Speaker 2: as opposed to a unwritten rule kind of thing.
- 7:58Speaker 1: Here's where it goes a little something special.
- 8:02Speaker 3: And what we're seeing in politics right now is not healthy.
- 8:05Speaker 3: This isn't about one person. This is an organizational issue,
- 8:08Speaker 3: a culture issue, a systems issue. Did you know it
- 8:11Speaker 3: took nine hours for the House Democratic Caucus in Washington
- 8:14Speaker 3: to say anything after bombs dropped and Iran? Nine hours?
- 8:18Speaker 3: I was watching and if you look closely, the War
- 8:21Speaker 3: Powers resolution was intentionally slow walked. It gave Congress an
- 8:24Speaker 3: escape patch, a way to blame everything on a Rogan administration.
- 8:28Speaker 3: And yes, we have a rogue administration, but that doesn't
- 8:31Speaker 3: mean that Congress gets to laid down and do nothing.
- 8:34Speaker 3: Rocana stood up and tried, Thomas Massey stood up. I
- 8:38Speaker 3: never thought I'd find myself agreeing with Thomas and Massy,
- 8:40Speaker 3: but he's really been trying to force accountability. Even with
- 8:43Speaker 3: Epstein Fowles, it's.
- 8:47Speaker 1: A Rogan administration.
- 8:49Speaker 2: Is this the honesty we can come to expect from
- 8:52Speaker 2: Destiny Wells as a candidate and as a possible member
- 8:55Speaker 2: of Congress. It's not a rogue administration. The War Powers
- 8:58Speaker 2: Act being followed. Nothing was slow walked forty eight hours
- 9:02Speaker 2: to inform Congress sixty days to wrap up operations, a
- 9:05Speaker 2: possible extension of thirty days for the safety and security
- 9:08Speaker 2: of troops. In the level of withdrawal, rogue administration, it
- 9:15Speaker 2: gets worse.
- 9:16Speaker 3: And so here's the question I want people to ask.
- 9:18Speaker 3: Go look at the members of Congress you.
- 9:20Speaker 4: Admire, and I want you to see how many of
- 9:23Speaker 4: them take money from defense contractors and defense contractor packs.
- 9:28Speaker 4: And I want you to think about that and ask yourself,
- 9:30Speaker 4: how does a defense contractor show up to your office
- 9:33Speaker 4: kind of campaign check and then you walk into committee
- 9:35Speaker 4: and claim you're completely objective. If you take money from
- 9:39Speaker 4: Boeing and then want to say you're pro Palestine, explain
- 9:41Speaker 4: that one to me.
- 9:42Speaker 3: Boeing sells weapons and munitions to Israel, drops bombs on Palestine.
- 9:47Speaker 3: It's corrupt, it's ethically bankrupt, and it's immoral. And Central
- 9:52Speaker 3: Indiana and here in Indianapolis deserve better.
- 9:58Speaker 2: Show me where Palestine is on a map. Destiny Wells.
- 10:04Speaker 2: You could make the argument that if you're taking money
- 10:06Speaker 2: from these packs.
- 10:07Speaker 1: It influences your decisions.
- 10:10Speaker 2: Argument gets made all the time they're dropping bombs on Palestine,
- 10:15Speaker 2: and then you say it's corrupt and on immoral to
- 10:19Speaker 2: take out a terrorist organization that attacked you and murdered
- 10:22Speaker 2: twelve hundred people and raped women and set children on fire.
- 10:28Speaker 2: Show me where Palestine is on the map. The one
- 10:35Speaker 2: thing you could have hoped for is maybe Destiny Wells
- 10:38Speaker 2: wasn't as ridiculously bigoted as Andre Carson.
- 10:41Speaker 1: Maybe it would be a step up for Indianapolis.
- 10:46Speaker 2: Nope, Israel bomb's Palestine is amongst the dumbest statements ever
- 10:54Speaker 2: made from the soldier or anybody else. It is to
- 10:59Speaker 2: completely give disregard to what has happened, what.
- 11:02Speaker 1: Is happening, history, and the facts on the ground.
- 11:08Speaker 2: Destiny well still has this video up, this disqualifying video,
- 11:13Speaker 2: and this disgusting, despicable, ridiculous statement. But oh, don't say
- 11:18Speaker 2: anything about her because she's a soldier after all.
