Latest / Bussin' With The Boys / Week 4 CFB Reaction: Is Texas Or Georgia The Best Team In The Country? Is Michigan's Season OVER?
Transcript
- 0:00Speaker 1: Welcome to another episode of the College Football Reaction Recap Show,
- 0:04Speaker 1: some might call it. Look, we got a lot to
- 0:06Speaker 1: talk about with this conference play. Who wants to be
- 0:08Speaker 1: good in the ACC? There's a lot of ACC good teams,
- 0:12Speaker 1: but that conference is absolutely wide open. Nobody knows what's
- 0:15Speaker 1: going on with the Big Ten. Indiana is the elite
- 0:18Speaker 1: team that is currently undefeated. They seem a little mortal
- 0:21Speaker 1: after the game with Northwestern. You got the Big 12,
- 0:23Speaker 1: it's starting to get a little stuffy up at the
- 0:25Speaker 1: top of that conference. Seems like there's a lot of
- 0:28Speaker 1: quote unquote dark horses that could arise in the Big
- 0:30Speaker 1: 12 and then the SEC. I mean, there seems to
- 0:32Speaker 1: be a lot of juggernauts. We're not an SEC biased podcast.
- 0:35Speaker 2: We're not.
- 0:35Speaker 1: But there seems to be a lot of, some saying
- 0:37Speaker 1: that there could be a Cignetti in this bunch.
- 0:39Speaker 3: I will say we, every year around the end of September,
- 0:42Speaker 3: we sit there and compliment the SEC and how strong
- 0:45Speaker 3: they are. Let's just, I want to see the longevity
- 0:47Speaker 3: going into the playoffs.
- 0:47Speaker 1: Let's see the longevity.
- 0:49Speaker 3: Let's see the longevity. We're not biased. We're not biased
- 0:52Speaker 3: in any way, shape or form. However, right now when
- 0:54Speaker 3: you look at it, it's like this is all tracking
- 0:56Speaker 3: to be the exact same.
- 0:57Speaker 1: Everybody should know that this bus would love to see
- 0:59Speaker 1: a wounded SEC at some point this year. But right now,
- 1:03Speaker 1: they look damn good. They look damn good. We're brought
- 1:05Speaker 1: to you by the number one sportsbook in America, and
- 1:07Speaker 1: that is the FanDuel Sportsbook. Before looking back at this
- 1:11Speaker 1: past week of college football, let's look ahead. to FanDuel's
- 1:14Speaker 1: College Football Pick'Em. College Football Pick'Em from FanDuel, boys and girls.

- 1:29Speaker 1: So if you go 10 for 10, you're going to
- 1:31Speaker 1: be splitting a jackpot of half a million dollars, and
- 1:34Speaker 1: that is free. But listen, the commissioner himself, Mr. Josh Pate,
- 1:38Speaker 1: big friend of the show. And the two of us
- 1:40Speaker 1: also make our 10 picks every week. You only have
- 1:43Speaker 1: to outpick one of us. And if you do that,
- 1:46Speaker 1: you'll earn a profit boost token courtesy of FanDuel. Make
- 1:49Speaker 1: sure you visit FanDuel.com slash Bussin to make your free
- 1:52Speaker 1: picks when the game goes live this Wednesday. How do
- 1:57Speaker 1: we even do against the spread last week in our
- 1:58Speaker 1: 10 picks? Do we know?
- 1:59Speaker 3: I don't think we did well.
- 2:01Speaker 2: Your units are very down.
- 2:02Speaker 1: No, not units. I did go four and two on
- 2:05Speaker 1: my picks, but yeah, units-wise, I could be down.
- 2:07Speaker 3: For the record, I don't want... We should not judge
- 2:10Speaker 3: Will on his units this week in college football. If
- 2:11Speaker 3: you want to judge Will on anything, judge him on
- 2:13Speaker 3: who he picks in the NFL locker room right now,
- 2:15Speaker 3: because it's... ungodly with taking place there.
- 2:17Speaker 1: Just listen to some of the words I say throughout
- 2:19Speaker 1: the week and low key, I am cooking, but don't
- 2:22Speaker 1: follow me on my pets or just fade me. I
- 2:24Speaker 1: am the fade God.
- 2:25Speaker 3: Don't look at the result. Just enjoy the journey that
- 2:27Speaker 3: will compensate you. Cause that is what matters most. The
- 2:30Speaker 3: answers are in there when he chooses to go, I
- 2:34Speaker 3: don't know the under on a Florida Ole Miss game.
- 2:37Speaker 1: Hey, I was, I wasn't wrong on that. I was
- 2:40Speaker 1: just off because you look at the first half, you
- 2:43Speaker 1: talk about a complete letdown spot. Sloppy offenses going. It
- 2:46Speaker 1: was 17-6, I believe, at halftime. I'll be real with you, dude.
- 2:49Speaker 3: You saying I wasn't wrong on that, I was just off.
- 2:51Speaker 3: There's a couple picks I had this week that I
- 2:53Speaker 3: wasn't wrong on. The players made me, in a true
- 2:56Speaker 3: Josh Pate form, the players and coaches made me wrong.
- 2:59Speaker 3: And it's this first game we're looking at right here.
- 3:01Speaker 1: Texas Tennessee, yes, you did. You lost. And not only
- 3:05Speaker 1: did you lose on that one, you were so confident.
- 3:07Speaker 1: You even hit Pate with the I Watch film. Yeah.
- 3:10Speaker 1: You did the big dog I Watch film. That's how
- 3:11Speaker 1: I know what that was.
- 3:12Speaker 3: And once again, I don't want to sound like that guy,
- 3:15Speaker 3: but I was right. He was like, if Colin Simms
- 3:17Speaker 3: is in there, who would take over? I said, Lawrence Jackson,
- 3:19Speaker 3: the other five-star. He was, you're not a five-star. He
- 3:21Speaker 3: had a great comment. You're not a star watcher. You're X, Y,
- 3:23Speaker 3: and Z. I kind of blacked out after star watcher.
- 3:26Speaker 3: But Lawrence Jackson- The other defensive end, I know Colin Simmons,
- 3:29Speaker 3: I think, tied the FBS single game record of five.
- 3:31Speaker 3: He tied it. But Lawrence Jackson was wreaking havoc in
- 3:34Speaker 3: the backfield as well. So both ends were going off
- 3:37Speaker 3: in this game. So Tennessee, once again, wasn't wrong there.
- 3:41Speaker 3: The amount of penalties that Texas had in this game too,
- 3:43Speaker 3: they had over 100 yards in penalties. They'd have explosive
- 3:46Speaker 3: plays and then we get called back plus 10 yards.
- 3:48Speaker 3: So it was even more than that. Just the amount
- 3:50Speaker 3: of yards that accumulated in penalties were up to 100 yards.
- 3:53Speaker 3: But in the college way it works is it isn't
- 3:55Speaker 3: like if you get a DPI in the NFL and
- 3:58Speaker 3: it's where that play happened, plus the 15 yards right there.
- 4:00Speaker 3: So they can literally change the field and college. You
- 4:03Speaker 3: could throw a 40 yard bomb. And if it's DPI,
- 4:05Speaker 3: it's just a 15 yard penalty. Does that make sense?
- 4:08Speaker 3: You guys know the rules of football. Yeah. So watching
- 4:11Speaker 3: that game, it's like so many self-inflicted wounds by Texas.
- 4:15Speaker 3: Now I do want to give a lot of credit
- 4:17Speaker 3: to Tennessee, to that fan base, to Vols nation. Cause
- 4:20Speaker 3: they were allowed even in moments where it felt like,
- 4:22Speaker 3: Oh no, Texas can really take over this game. It
- 4:24Speaker 3: felt like that student section and all the 102,000 people
- 4:27Speaker 3: in Neyland Stadium were in it the entire time with
- 4:30Speaker 3: their team. And they had a chance to win it
- 4:31Speaker 3: at the end. By the way, who's your kicker? Because
- 4:35Speaker 3: that drop kick, onside kick was incredible. It was awesome.
- 4:40Speaker 1: He's the kicker.
- 4:40Speaker 4: He's the kicker.
- 4:41Speaker 3: Pops right out of Wingo's hands.
- 4:42Speaker 5: And they tried to ice him on the first one.
- 4:45Speaker 5: Still got the second one off.
- 4:47Speaker 1: They did a good job stopping the run for how
- 4:49Speaker 1: good Texas' run game is, like the potential they get. Obviously,
- 4:53Speaker 1: Smothers wasn't in there. And then they're– dude, Gilliam, number
- 4:57Speaker 1: two for Tennessee. Like, they got after the quarterback as well. Yeah,
- 5:00Speaker 1: he is nice. Like, Arch Manning looked like the Arch
- 5:02Speaker 1: Manning we spoke about, like, on the road.
- 5:05Speaker 3: Yeah, there was a couple plays there. He had, like–
- 5:07Speaker 3: I think it was the first quarter. He had, like,
- 5:09Speaker 3: a duck, an absolute duck that ended up coming down.
- 5:11Speaker 3: I don't know which of the amazing receivers it was,
- 5:14Speaker 3: but he had some nice throws earlier in that game.
- 5:17Speaker 3: This was the first touchdown throw he had. The one
- 5:19Speaker 3: in the corner was a nice little dot. The one
- 5:20Speaker 3: in the corner was– it was like, okay, that's– that's
- 5:22Speaker 3: why they keep saying this gets a future first overall
- 5:24Speaker 3: pick but then as the game started to go tennessee's
- 5:27Speaker 3: defense really stood up in a lot of way face
- 5:28Speaker 3: on brand he had to find a way to calm
- 5:30Speaker 3: down a little bit like i thought will must champ
- 5:32Speaker 3: did a great job of making him uncomfortable clearly the
- 5:34Speaker 3: talent too on the texas defensive line is just they're
- 5:38Speaker 3: just elite in so many categories to the point where
- 5:41Speaker 3: even sanders that left tackle for tennessee that i'm i'm
- 5:44Speaker 3: still very high on it seemed like he was having
- 5:45Speaker 3: a little Struggle here and there.
- 5:47Speaker 1: Oh, that entire Tennessee offensive line, you know, is in
- 5:50Speaker 1: hell this week. They're in hell this week. The amount
- 5:51Speaker 1: of sacks that they gave up. Yeah. Was it 10 sacks? Yeah.
- 5:54Speaker 1: And then Faison, he did look 18 out there because
- 5:57Speaker 1: there's a lot of throws that he's just not necessarily seeing,
- 6:00Speaker 1: which that'll come with as he gets more experience. That
- 6:02Speaker 1: was his first big game, period.
- 6:04Speaker 3: First big game ever, 18 years old. Like, yeah, it's
- 6:07Speaker 3: the number one team in the country. So you have
- 6:09Speaker 3: to give Tennessee a lot of credit. And also, like, yeah,
- 6:11Speaker 3: as human as Faison Brandon looked, like that back shoulder
- 6:14Speaker 3: to Mike Matthews at the end of the game to
- 6:15Speaker 3: keep him in it, Like that's a hell of a throw.
- 6:18Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 6:18Speaker 3: To push it in there. And the fact that the
- 6:20Speaker 3: kid goes down on his throwing shoulder, he's in the
- 6:22Speaker 3: tent and you're just thinking, damn, that might be like,
- 6:25Speaker 3: you was thinking like the worst. Like if it isn't
- 6:27Speaker 3: really a throwing shoulder, is this the end of like
- 6:30Speaker 3: Tennessee season? Not just this game. And the kid comes
- 6:33Speaker 3: back and fights through it. Like, yeah, he looked human,
- 6:36Speaker 3: but damn that, that kid's got, he's got some stones, dude.
- 6:38Speaker 3: He's tough as nails too.
- 6:40Speaker 1: Yeah. Texas defense is for real though.
- 6:42Speaker 3: Oh, they're for real, dude. And it's just like, at
- 6:44Speaker 3: what point, dude, how many weapons do you need on
- 6:47Speaker 3: the offensive side of the ball for Texas to finally
- 6:49Speaker 3: like click to where you're putting up 35 a game?
- 6:52Speaker 3: Because they have three wide receiver ones. They have two, well,
- 6:55Speaker 3: not two first round picks, but two top three round
- 6:58Speaker 3: pick tackles. The interior of that offensive line, it needs
- 7:01Speaker 3: a little bit of work, but like Arch Manning, he
- 7:03Speaker 3: seems like a guy that should be able to figure
- 7:06Speaker 3: it out. It's like, what are we missing?
- 7:08Speaker 1: Who are you taking if Florida and Texas played this weekend?
- 7:13Speaker 1: That's a great, where's it at? Let's just, I don't know.
- 7:19Speaker 1: I guess you would just pick the home team.
- 7:23Speaker 3: Yeah, probably. Let's just say they're on a neutral field.
- 7:25Speaker 3: We'll put them in Atlanta. We'll put them in the
- 7:29Speaker 3: SEC championship. Those two teams going at it right now.
- 7:31Speaker 3: All things fair. Dude, I probably still give it to
- 7:36Speaker 3: Texas because like Florida's, They're running the ball. Jaden Baugh
- 7:42Speaker 3: had 142 yards rushing. Even the backup running back, he
- 7:45Speaker 3: had 132 yards. They ran the ball really well, but
- 7:48Speaker 3: Cody gave us a nice little stat. Aaron Filo, he
- 7:51Speaker 3: had no passes over eight air yards. I don't know
- 7:55Speaker 3: if it was the full game.
- 7:55Speaker 1: Or the half.
- 7:56Speaker 6: No, it was eight passes were completed past the line
- 8:01Speaker 6: of scrimmage. Eight passes were completed past the line of scrimmage.
- 8:03Speaker 2: And they put up 52 points.
- 8:04Speaker 3: So that tells you... That tells you they believe in
- 8:06Speaker 3: their run game and their perimeter wide receivers are incredible.
- 8:09Speaker 3: Wilson and Brown, like those guys are unreal, unreal on
- 8:12Speaker 3: the perimeter. So I just think at the end of
- 8:14Speaker 3: the day, like I would take Texas.
- 8:18Speaker 1: You take that defense?
- 8:18Speaker 3: Yeah, I take that defense. I think Spags, not Spags.
- 8:21Speaker 3: What the fuck am I talking about? Why is that?
- 8:25Speaker 1: No, no.
- 8:26Speaker 3: What's the head coach for Texas?
- 8:26Speaker 1: Why is it? Sark. Sark. Thank you.
- 8:29Speaker 3: Like as much as he has a bad rap for
- 8:31Speaker 3: not getting done in big games, it would be Summerall's
- 8:34Speaker 3: first big game. Like, first, if we're talking about SEC
- 8:37Speaker 3: championship against the number one team, like, it'd be... Yeah,
- 8:40Speaker 3: I mean, they've had two.
- 8:41Speaker 1: I feel like somewhere, although, there's an argument that they've
- 8:44Speaker 1: had two big games in a row. Yeah. Like with Auburn.
- 8:47Speaker 1: What did the.
- 8:48Speaker 3: Psychologist say about that?
- 8:49Speaker 1: Yeah. The poets out there. The poets are cooking. You
- 8:53Speaker 1: can't peak two weeks in a row.
- 8:54Speaker 3: Can't do it, but it seems like Florida can.
- 8:56Speaker 1: I know, because their defense does look good. Like, their
- 8:58Speaker 1: second level flies around. I just don't know what to
- 9:02Speaker 1: make of... how much of a letdown it was for
- 9:05Speaker 1: Ole Miss compared to like, you know what I mean?
- 9:07Speaker 1: Just straight up dominating that offense.
- 9:09Speaker 3: It feels like even the sports book FanDuel having them,
- 9:14Speaker 3: having Ole Miss underdogs in that game, it's like they
- 9:16Speaker 3: kind of knew something maybe with the psychologist say like
- 9:18Speaker 3: everything we knew, which now like as much of a
- 9:21Speaker 3: dominant win as it was for Florida against Ole Miss,
- 9:24Speaker 3: it has you kind of think like, okay, was that
- 9:26Speaker 3: because of the emotional state of Ole Miss? If they
- 9:28Speaker 3: played Then it was just a regular week, four week.
- 9:30Speaker 3: There was nothing crazy that happened before. How would that
- 9:32Speaker 3: game look?
- 9:33Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 9:33Speaker 3: Because, I mean, Trinidad's a stud, but he didn't look
- 9:36Speaker 3: like himself. That front seven for Ole Miss is supposed
- 9:38Speaker 3: to be like their strength of their defense, but they
- 9:40Speaker 3: got ran on.
- 9:41Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 9:41Speaker 1: They got ran through. That defense has definitely got a
- 9:44Speaker 1: huge question mark on it. But again, I don't know
- 9:45Speaker 1: how much stock I'm putting into it. the letdown spot
- 9:48Speaker 1: that they had over the weekend at Florida, at the swamp.
- 9:50Speaker 5: Like, yeah.
- 9:50Speaker 3: And everything I'm kind of saying is kind of taken
- 9:52Speaker 3: away from Florida when they were able to do, but
- 9:54Speaker 3: like Summerall, dude, he like, it just seems like he's
- 9:57Speaker 3: got that culture already wrapped around his finger and, seems
- 10:00Speaker 3: like everyone's talking about a five-year plan but i got
- 10:02Speaker 3: a five-month plan like he's saying all the right things
- 10:04Speaker 3: and his team is showing it but i just think
- 10:08Speaker 3: if i going back to the conversation of florida or
- 10:10Speaker 3: texas who would you take right now this weekend yeah
- 10:12Speaker 3: yeah i just go i go i guess i'll take
- 10:15Speaker 3: texas like this it wouldn't be like a strong i
- 10:16Speaker 3: would put like maybe one unit on that game And
- 10:19Speaker 3: it would go back to how that defense flies around,
- 10:23Speaker 3: how they're able to stop Tennessee's run game, who had
- 10:25Speaker 3: been able to run the game very effectively up until
- 10:27Speaker 3: that point.
- 10:27Speaker 1: Because you'll get, like they have, when they're going into Texas,
- 10:33Speaker 1: what is that, week seven? Because they're at Missouri this weekend.
- 10:40Speaker 1: Then they have South Carolina at home. We could be like,
- 10:43Speaker 1: depending on how Texas does, but another just top five
- 10:46Speaker 1: at that point. Cause Florida's eight right now in the
- 10:48Speaker 1: AP poll.
- 10:49Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 10:50Speaker 1: If they beat Missouri this week, cause they have Missouri ranked.
- 10:52Speaker 1: So that'll be like another, you know, quote unquote quality win.
- 10:55Speaker 1: If they win.
- 10:56Speaker 3: Let me ask you this. Is Florida in a position
- 10:59Speaker 3: that they were in that Ole Miss was in last week?
- 11:02Speaker 3: Florida had to get up big time at the Swamp SEC.
- 11:06Speaker 3: First big win they've had since 2021 in the Swamp.
- 11:09Speaker 3: People are starting to really wrap their head around the
- 11:11Speaker 3: Gators being back. Do you see them going to Missouri
- 11:14Speaker 3: and possibly laying in it?
- 11:15Speaker 1: I mean, it could because Mizzou had a tough loss
- 11:18Speaker 1: against Mississippi State at Mississippi State. You know they wanted
- 11:21Speaker 1: that one badly. Now they're at home this weekend against Florida.
- 11:24Speaker 1: In Florida, everybody's patting them on the ass right now.
- 11:27Speaker 1: Everybody's telling them how good they are. Like Summerall is
- 11:29Speaker 1: the head coach you want in that locker room because
- 11:31Speaker 1: he knows it's all rat poison and everything else. He's
- 11:33Speaker 1: got to keep them focused. But it very much could
- 11:35Speaker 1: be like Mizzou could surprise him this weekend. And then
- 11:37Speaker 1: everybody is like, oh, is Florida not back? And it's like, no,
- 11:41Speaker 1: they're just going into a weekend here where they're looking at–
- 11:45Speaker 1: if you're a Florida cat and you're looking at your schedule–
- 11:49Speaker 1: you're almost not even thinking about Missouri and South Carolina
- 11:53Speaker 1: because you're going to have, you're going to go to
- 11:55Speaker 1: Texas and then you're going to go to Georgia after
- 11:57Speaker 1: a bye week. Like you're sitting there being like, yo,
- 11:59Speaker 1: we're ranked in the top 10. We're going to get
- 12:01Speaker 1: number one and number two in the country later in October.
- 12:05Speaker 1: So to where you're not, you're not even having Missouri
- 12:07Speaker 1: and South Carolina on the radar because of how bad
- 12:10Speaker 1: South Carolina lost over the weekend when they lost to
- 12:12Speaker 1: Mississippi State. Like you're just, you're not thinking about these games.
- 12:16Speaker 1: Mizzou loses to Mississippi State. Like you're, With Florida-Mizzou?
- 12:20Speaker 3: No.
- 12:21Speaker 1: Which game are you talking about?
- 12:22Speaker 2: Mississippi State and Missouri.
- 12:23Speaker 3: Oh yeah, it was an awesome game. But if you're
- 12:27Speaker 3: looking at the two teams, which one is just better?
- 12:30Speaker 3: Florida is a better football team than Missouri.
- 12:32Speaker 1: If you're in the camp of Florida right now, it is.
- 12:34Speaker 1: The Gators are back. This is Florida football.
- 12:37Speaker 3: I think it's a little bit of a stretch to
- 12:38Speaker 3: be looking 14 days in the future and be like,
- 12:41Speaker 3: we got those two big games coming up. I could
- 12:43Speaker 3: see that. That's a huge Cocktober moment. That's a huge
- 12:48Speaker 3: Cocktober moment if South Carolina's not dead. And that's where
- 12:52Speaker 3: you kind of go to.
- 12:53Speaker 4: I don't think Florida right now is worried about Cocktober, unfortunately.
- 12:56Speaker 2: I know.
- 12:57Speaker 3: I'm saying like if all the things, if we didn't
- 13:00Speaker 3: have this past weekend with South Carolina, which we'll get
- 13:02Speaker 3: into a little bit because my favorite bet of the
- 13:04Speaker 3: week was just absolutely crash and burned. But like that's
- 13:08Speaker 3: a game. for Florida to kind of like play a
- 13:11Speaker 3: little bit down.
- 13:11Speaker 2: Definitely.
- 13:12Speaker 3: Like if you're a player, you're still playing like you're,
- 13:14Speaker 3: you're like Florida just played Ole Miss, right? That was
- 13:16Speaker 3: a massive, like high emotion psychologist, the whole thing. Now
- 13:19Speaker 3: they're going to Missouri, but it's not like Missouri is
- 13:21Speaker 3: a muffin. Like they're ranked in the top 25. This
- 13:22Speaker 3: is still a big game to where you can't sleep
- 13:25Speaker 3: on it. And you don't have a big game, no
- 13:26Speaker 3: disrespect coming up the following week. Now the South, you
- 13:30Speaker 3: handle business against Missouri and you're playing South Carolina and
- 13:32Speaker 3: South Carolina, their woes still stay. And you got at
- 13:35Speaker 3: Texas the following week. That's where You can see that
- 13:39Speaker 3: little bit of a pull.
- 13:40Speaker 2: That trap game.
- 13:42Speaker 3: That's a huge trap game. Because you don't have to
- 13:43Speaker 3: get it for one, but you just brought it up.
- 13:45Speaker 3: You got Texas, then Georgia, who are both ranked one
- 13:47Speaker 3: and two in the AP poll right now.
- 13:49Speaker 1: And you're now ranked eight. You made a massive jump.
- 13:52Speaker 1: Everyone's telling you they love you. And everybody in Florida is,
- 13:56Speaker 1: if you're looking at this, even a player, we can
- 13:58Speaker 1: do this as players. It's like, oh yeah, we just
- 14:00Speaker 1: got to take care of business against Missouri and Florida.
- 14:02Speaker 1: And then we got... Huge ones coming up at Texas
- 14:05Speaker 1: and at Georgia. Say less.
- 14:06Speaker 4: South Carolina Moneyline versus Florida.
- 14:10Speaker 1: We're back.
- 14:11Speaker 2: We're back.
- 14:11Speaker 1: Put out the cheese for them, JP.
- 14:12Speaker 3: That's the whole point. When you were at Nebraska in college,
- 14:15Speaker 3: did you ever look at the schedule like weeks in advance?
- 14:18Speaker 1: Sometimes, yeah. Did you really? Yeah.
- 14:19Speaker 3: I never did that. I never, yeah, I kind of
- 14:22Speaker 3: just would play the games. And I never would think about, oh,
- 14:25Speaker 3: what's next until they'd be like, you know what week
- 14:26Speaker 3: it is? I'm like, oh, what's that? Like Michigan State.
- 14:28Speaker 1: Oh, fuck. You wouldn't even know who you were playing?
- 14:30Speaker 3: The following week.
- 14:32Speaker 1: Oh, I thought you meant like the week comes and they're.
- 14:33Speaker 3: Like, if I'm playing like a Minnesota and then the
- 14:36Speaker 3: next week's Michigan State, I'm not thinking, all right, we'll
- 14:38Speaker 3: get through Minnesota and then we got Michigan State going on. Yeah,
- 14:41Speaker 3: it'd be like, obviously you have like, you play your 10th,
- 14:43Speaker 3: 11th game, you're thinking about Ohio State in the next
- 14:45Speaker 3: couple of weeks. That's the only one you kind of
- 14:46Speaker 3: really know. But everything else, I was just like, yeah,
- 14:48Speaker 3: I'm just going to, I guess we got Bowling Green
- 14:50Speaker 3: this week.
- 14:51Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 14:51Speaker 3: You just kind of keep it pushing from there.
- 14:53Speaker 2: Just going to block Paul Swan.
- 14:55Speaker 3: Yeah, he said a fucking body bag Paul Swan a
- 14:57Speaker 3: little bit. That was an easy little muff right there.
- 15:01Speaker 3: But dude, shout out Florida. Shout out Sumrall. I don't
- 15:05Speaker 3: want to take your quote, but John Signetti.
- 15:09Speaker 7: Oh, yeah.
- 15:09Speaker 1: I'm sure people are out there saying it. Like, could
- 15:12Speaker 1: this be the Signetti of the SEC this year?
- 15:15Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 15:16Speaker 1: I mean, it is. Imagine he runs the table.
- 15:19Speaker 3: If he runs the table, bro. Texas and Georgia back-to-back?
- 15:23Speaker 1: There ain't no... Georgia. Georgia's a squad. Georgia, Florida might
- 15:28Speaker 1: be the.
- 15:29Speaker 3: Georgia is a squad, dude.
- 15:31Speaker 1: Georgia's a squad.
- 15:32Speaker 3: And I went back and watched that Oklahoma, and I
- 15:35Speaker 3: saw the John Mateer, whatever circus music, and he's throwing
- 15:39Speaker 3: the ball, and the defensive linemen come and take it.
- 15:42Speaker 3: But buddy, it was not good the entire time. It
- 15:45Speaker 3: wasn't just that singular clip. There were multiple turnovers that
- 15:48Speaker 3: took place. Georgia was flying around. That Talon Taylor kid
- 15:53Speaker 3: that you brought up three, four weeks ago that was
- 15:55Speaker 3: going to take over for Zachariah Branch.
- 15:56Speaker 1: When I thought it was Talon. Yeah.
- 15:57Speaker 3: Looked every bit of that guy. Like Oklahoma looked like
- 16:02Speaker 3: they were walking in mud the way this kid was.
- 16:03Speaker 3: When they did like man coverage, he was out there
- 16:06Speaker 3: in the slot one time and just one kid. The dude,
- 16:08Speaker 3: I was like, this guy's dead now. Both of his
- 16:10Speaker 3: ankles are broken. But like this kid is so impressive
- 16:13Speaker 3: to watch. And Georgia put that many points on Oklahoma
- 16:17Speaker 3: without Nate Frazier.
- 16:19Speaker 1: He had a rib injury.
- 16:20Speaker 3: So they had their backup, like two and three running backs,
- 16:23Speaker 3: which by the way are both probably five stars in fantastic.
- 16:26Speaker 1: No, the one last year, oh, what is his last name,
- 16:28Speaker 1: the backup?
- 16:29Speaker 3: Chauncey or something like that?
- 16:30Speaker 1: Yeah, he split carries. He was in the mix a lot.
- 16:33Speaker 1: He was in the mix a lot last year. He's
- 16:34Speaker 1: a damn good back as well. Frazier's just one of
- 16:38Speaker 1: them scary motherfuckers.
- 16:39Speaker 3: Bro, he's a dude that just has a different type
- 16:41Speaker 3: of gear.
- 16:42Speaker 1: Shout out Gunnar Stockton. His sister, we were out eating
- 16:45Speaker 1: at a Mexican spot yesterday. She comes up to introduce herself.
- 16:47Speaker 1: She's like, oh, big fan of your guys' show. I'm
- 16:50Speaker 1: Gunnar's sister. And I'm like, Gunnar? She's like, Sockton. I
- 16:52Speaker 1: was like, oh, shit. We're fans of him, too. So anyway,
- 16:56Speaker 1: there could be some good Georgia Bulldog. We're fans of him, too.
- 16:58Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 16:58Speaker 1: Some good Georgia Bulldog juju coming our way.
- 17:00Speaker 3: Let's go.
- 17:01Speaker 4: That game is on Halloween.
- 17:04Speaker 1: Georgia, Florida. Oh, my God. That's a spooky game right there.
- 17:08Speaker 1: The 330 slot.
- 17:09Speaker 8: On the road back-to-back, by the way, for Texas and Georgia.
- 17:13Speaker 3: They do have a bye week in between. Florida's on
- 17:15Speaker 3: the road back to back.
- 17:16Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah. Is Texas a hard.
- 17:17Speaker 2: Place to play though?
- 17:19Speaker 3: I don't think it really matters. It's still like you
- 17:21Speaker 3: get on a plane, you get on the buses, stay
- 17:23Speaker 3: in a different room, get up, meetings in a place
- 17:25Speaker 3: that your brain doesn't know. Like those are all psychological
- 17:28Speaker 3: things that take place as far as like breaking your
- 17:30Speaker 3: routine up. But like as far as like difficulty, I'm
- 17:33Speaker 3: not sure. I feel like now that Texas is number
- 17:35Speaker 3: one in the country, they're probably, their families, they're super
- 17:38Speaker 3: into it.
- 17:39Speaker 1: The good news for Texas is they perform a lot
- 17:41Speaker 1: better offensively at home. Like all the data from last
- 17:44Speaker 1: year with Arch Manning under center.
- 17:46Speaker 3: And it seems like it's still holding true now after
- 17:48Speaker 3: this last Tennessee game. Do we want to give the
- 17:50Speaker 3: Florida Jack at all after this Tennessee-Texas game?
- 17:55Speaker 5: Yeah, I mean, it was awesome to be there with
- 17:59Speaker 5: the fellas. The energy was incredible in Neyland. Texas gave
- 18:03Speaker 5: us every opportunity to win that game with all those penalties.
- 18:07Speaker 2: It's sad.
- 18:08Speaker 5: You know, it's hard to really put myself mentally in
- 18:13Speaker 5: a spot to be a positive contributing member of society
- 18:17Speaker 5: after Vols losing the last play.
- 18:20Speaker 1: Don't say the next thing.
- 18:20Speaker 2: Don't say the next thing.
- 18:21Speaker 9: Won't talk about the next thing.
- 18:22Speaker 3: Don't even bring that up in the college football recap.
- 18:25Speaker 9: I mean, you know, it would have been, what was
- 18:27Speaker 9: the stat, 40 years since No. 1 team was taken down?
- 18:30Speaker 1: He would have been the first 18-year-old in 40 years
- 18:33Speaker 1: to take down the AP No. 1.
- 18:35Speaker 5: Yeah, I mean, you felt like you had it. Cody, Matt,
- 18:38Speaker 5: and I and Coleman were still there at the end.
- 18:42Speaker 5: And the energy in there when the onside kick was
- 18:44Speaker 5: returned was, it's just why you are a fan of
- 18:48Speaker 5: college football.
- 18:48Speaker 9: And for a brief second, thought we had it.
- 18:51Speaker 1: We didn't.
- 18:52Speaker 9: We move on, have Auburn this week. also a scary game.
- 18:56Speaker 3: No well yeah scary but it's a winnable game yeah.
- 18:59Speaker 5: But i just gotta move forward gotta fazon's gotta stay
- 19:04Speaker 5: in that pocket he's did a lot of running in
- 19:06Speaker 5: that game which i think benefits us but there are
- 19:09Speaker 5: certain plays where he's got to make those check downs
- 19:11Speaker 5: look ahead of the field see guys he's young i
- 19:15Speaker 5: don't really have too much say on it it was
- 19:17Speaker 5: awesome being in knoxville shout out to bill martin for
- 19:19Speaker 5: getting the boys right on the sideline but yeah.
- 19:21Speaker 1: Billy martin is the He is. He is the man.
- 19:24Speaker 1: The reason it could be like I feel you on
- 19:26Speaker 1: a little Scarcity with Auburn, too, is they're known for
- 19:30Speaker 1: the strength of their defense being the front seven, and
- 19:32Speaker 1: you plug on that tape with Texas. It's like you
- 19:35Speaker 1: could be salivating looking at getting after Faison.
- 19:38Speaker 5: Yeah, and I don't know where Wendell Moe, where he
- 19:40Speaker 5: sits right now, one of our linemen who got injured.
- 19:43Speaker 1: So, yeah. It's a good time.
- 19:48Speaker 9: Sorry they don't have too much to say.
- 19:49Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 19:50Speaker 9: A shell of a man today, but we keep moving forward.
- 19:53Speaker 1: We can't get through. I know we've done a lot
- 19:56Speaker 1: of SEC talk already, but Bama looks for real, too. Yeah.
- 20:00Speaker 3: Dude, Keelan Russell is a special human being. Yeah. That's
- 20:08Speaker 3: a good ball club right there. They fly around and
- 20:12Speaker 3: hand up. They can run it. They can run the football, dude.
- 20:16Speaker 1: I said they couldn't run the football.
- 20:18Speaker 3: I thought they couldn't. I thought, oh, they're not playing
- 20:21Speaker 3: great football teams yet. I thought South Carolina did a
- 20:23Speaker 3: good job against the run. And they didn't. They ran
- 20:28Speaker 3: it well. Keelan Russell, dude. He's on the deep passes.
- 20:33Speaker 3: He's so good at throwing the ball like X-play material.
- 20:37Speaker 3: And Ryan Coleman, William, dude, like he is as back
- 20:40Speaker 3: as you could possibly get in that game. Like kid
- 20:42Speaker 3: has got a different type of gear. Who's number three, Brooks?
- 20:46Speaker 1: Lottie Brooks.
- 20:46Speaker 3: Yeah, dude. He is crazy fast. And then who's number 40,
- 20:51Speaker 3: that tight end? That one-handed catch, bro.
- 20:54Speaker 2: The nicest cat.
- 20:58Speaker 5: Of all time.
- 20:58Speaker 3: The one that got punched by Dylan.
- 20:59Speaker 1: Oh, the one that got punched by Dylan? Yeah.
- 21:01Speaker 6: Bro.
- 21:01Speaker 3: Taking a shot like that and then having a one-handed
- 21:03Speaker 3: catch in the back of the end zone. Like, that kid,
- 21:06Speaker 3: and he looks like a legit tight end. Like, that's
- 21:08Speaker 3: a tight end if you're, like, building one on NCAA. Like,
- 21:10Speaker 3: that's what he wanted to look like.
- 21:12Speaker 1: How disappointing was it seeing all that footage with Dylan Stewart?
- 21:18Speaker 3: Yeah, he just got a key. It's very disappointing. Him,
- 21:23Speaker 3: as talented as he is, and, like, clearly, like, the
- 21:27Speaker 3: team is very frustrated with the state in which, like,
- 21:30Speaker 3: the South Carolina Gamecocks are in. But, like, there's just
- 21:34Speaker 3: things you cannot do And that is 100% a thing
- 21:37Speaker 3: you cannot do. You cannot just swing on a tight end.
- 21:40Speaker 4: That's not even the problem. The punching is the least
- 21:45Speaker 4: big issue with Dylan Stewart right now. It's the attitude
- 21:48Speaker 4: with Coach Beamer and Coach Barnes.
- 21:50Speaker 1: Yeah, the assistant coach. Coach Beamer's like, you're sitting there
- 21:53Speaker 1: reading his lips. Jog off the fucking field, bro. I
- 21:58Speaker 1: was talking to JP earlier, and I had goosebumps talking
- 22:00Speaker 1: about him. I can't even fathom in my body and
- 22:03Speaker 1: mind just feeling so casual of hearing my head coach
- 22:08Speaker 1: Number one, check me on running off the field. But
- 22:09Speaker 1: even think to be just walking and not care, like
- 22:13Speaker 1: once you are checked. You know what I mean? Like
- 22:15Speaker 1: looking away, not giving good eye contact. Your position coach
- 22:17Speaker 1: is trying to talk to you. They're coming over to
- 22:20Speaker 1: the bench for you to get your helmet. Maybe what?
- 22:22Speaker 1: Get back in the game. It's something. But he just
- 22:24Speaker 1: looks like he's not even, like he doesn't give a
- 22:26Speaker 1: shit about what's going on.
- 22:27Speaker 3: It's a massive respect issue. That's the problem. And given
- 22:31Speaker 3: the heat that's on Shane Beamer right now with Calk
- 22:34Speaker 3: Nation and kind of the surrounding, like that team, that's
- 22:38Speaker 3: a terrible look for Beamer as well. And it's like,
- 22:40Speaker 3: you're not just hurting your draft stock right now. You're
- 22:42Speaker 3: also hurting your head coach and like the safety of
- 22:45Speaker 3: his job. Like it's, it's so much bigger than you.
- 22:48Speaker 3: And you're a guy that could have gotten NIL and
- 22:50Speaker 3: gone to a bunch of other schools. And I'm sure
- 22:52Speaker 3: there were other agents and people poking and prodding at you.
- 22:54Speaker 3: They come here and you're like, no, I'm going to stay.
- 22:55Speaker 3: Cause I believe in this head coach. I believe in
- 22:57Speaker 3: Lenora sellers and all these guys, you believe in what
- 22:59Speaker 3: the team can do. And now a little adversity is
- 23:01Speaker 3: taking place and that's how you're going to handle yourself.
- 23:03Speaker 3: It's just, It's just tough to see, man.
- 23:05Speaker 1: Tough to watch. It was making me think about it too.
- 23:10Speaker 1: I wonder if this is his body language and attitude
- 23:13Speaker 1: and everything else, if he didn't have millions of dollars
- 23:16Speaker 1: in his pocket. If he was just playing on a scholarship,
- 23:18Speaker 1: knowing that he was a guy that was going to be,
- 23:21Speaker 1: I know he's projected as a top five pick. It'll
- 23:23Speaker 1: be interesting to see like if his draft stock suffers
- 23:27Speaker 1: from this because he's suspended indefinitely, which is now you
- 23:30Speaker 1: have an example if you're in the front office and
- 23:32Speaker 1: everything else of how these guys are with money in
- 23:35Speaker 1: their pocket because that's always the worry when you're about
- 23:38Speaker 1: to draft a guy high.
- 23:39Speaker 3: You see it so many times in the NFL. Dudes
- 23:40Speaker 3: come in, they're like fourth, fifth, sixth round pick guys
- 23:43Speaker 3: and they work their ass off and they get a
- 23:44Speaker 3: massive second contract and all of a sudden they fall
- 23:46Speaker 3: off the face of the earth. It's like money changes
- 23:48Speaker 3: people in a lot of ways, but you got like,
- 23:50Speaker 3: do you love playing ball? Are you passionate about it?
- 23:53Speaker 3: If that's the case, you've got to fall in line
- 23:55Speaker 3: with the culture that you've chosen, truly chosen to stay in.
- 23:58Speaker 3: It's not like the NFL where you're like, you have
- 24:00Speaker 3: a contract because this team chose you. You chose to
- 24:02Speaker 3: stay at South Carolina. And I'm sure there's not one
- 24:05Speaker 3: guy in the South Carolina locker room right now that's like,
- 24:08Speaker 3: I feel great about what's going on.
- 24:09Speaker 4: Yeah, exactly.
- 24:10Speaker 3: But to handle it like that is just absolutely brutal.
- 24:12Speaker 1: It has me. JP, I love your perspective as well.
- 24:15Speaker 1: But as I'm watching it, and you're almost thinking like,
- 24:18Speaker 1: is this because of the state of what South Carolina's in?
- 24:21Speaker 1: but his body language was so bad and the way
- 24:24Speaker 1: he was nonchalant about everything, because he was kind of,
- 24:26Speaker 1: he was on the injury report at the start of
- 24:27Speaker 1: the year to where I even think in my head, like,
- 24:29Speaker 1: I wonder if this dude was as, as badly injured as,
- 24:32Speaker 1: as he was to not be playing in games because
- 24:34Speaker 1: I could, I can now see a world where he's
- 24:37Speaker 1: like milking it. Yeah. You know what I mean? Like
- 24:40Speaker 1: to me, it raises all those questions.
- 24:42Speaker 2: For sure.
- 24:42Speaker 1: Which is unfortunate.
- 24:43Speaker 4: Cause I mean, everything they said about it, it was,
- 24:46Speaker 4: he had the back injury and it was like, This
- 24:48Speaker 4: is either something that you get surgery and obviously a
- 24:51Speaker 4: back surgery doesn't look good on a guy going into
- 24:53Speaker 4: the NFL draft or you rest and you don't know
- 24:55Speaker 4: how long the rest can take. Like to where you're
- 24:59Speaker 4: fully back to healthy. And so that's where he opted
- 25:02Speaker 4: for the rest, not to have the surgery. But then, yeah,
- 25:04Speaker 4: like you act like this and you're getting in all
- 25:06Speaker 4: these fights and everything. And it's like. How do we
- 25:09Speaker 4: know what's real, what's not?
- 25:10Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 25:11Speaker 3: Because we talked about it, what was it, last week
- 25:13Speaker 3: or the week before? When he may or may not
- 25:15Speaker 3: have been playing, we're like, is he going to even
- 25:17Speaker 3: come back and play this year? Or is this the
- 25:18Speaker 3: excuse to not play, go get ready for the draft,
- 25:22Speaker 3: and focus on the NFL?
- 25:24Speaker 1: You know that he's been an issue the entire time
- 25:26Speaker 1: because I don't feel like Beamer is suspending him indefinitely.
- 25:30Speaker 1: If that was like, if Beamer and all of them
- 25:32Speaker 1: collectively felt like that was a one game situation to
- 25:35Speaker 1: where emotions just got the best of him. Right.
- 25:37Speaker 3: And if he's, yeah, exactly. If this is the first
- 25:39Speaker 3: time offense, no one's sitting there being like, you're gone
- 25:42Speaker 3: until we say so.
- 25:43Speaker 1: Beamer will get out there and defend you. Yeah. Oh,
- 25:45Speaker 1: a hundred percent. He was out of control. He was.
- 25:49Speaker 2: He was out of control.
- 25:50Speaker 4: And it is, it's unfortunate for Beamer too, because people
- 25:52Speaker 4: see the video and they're immediately like culture, culture's gone,
- 25:56Speaker 4: all the stuff. And it's like, It would be more
- 25:59Speaker 4: of a culture thing if we had more guys acting crazy,
- 26:02Speaker 4: but Stewart is kind of the.
- 26:04Speaker 1: Only one there.
- 26:04Speaker 3: You think Lenore Sellers is really hyped up right now
- 26:08Speaker 3: about how he's playing, how the offense is operating, how
- 26:10Speaker 3: he's kind of gone from this golden chalice on the
- 26:13Speaker 3: top shelf to now it's like he's a well drink
- 26:16Speaker 3: in a lot of ways to some people.
- 26:18Speaker 4: And he has to show up and do media after
- 26:20Speaker 4: the game every game.
- 26:21Speaker 3: Every single game.
- 26:21Speaker 4: Sellers is the face of it all.
- 26:23Speaker 5: Right.
- 26:23Speaker 3: And it's like he is getting just absolutely torched right
- 26:26Speaker 3: now and yet- I haven't seen one thing come out
- 26:28Speaker 3: about him and him losing his cool when he has
- 26:30Speaker 3: kind of every excuse to do that right now.
- 26:32Speaker 1: Right.
- 26:33Speaker 3: When Stewart's like, yeah, he's an elite talent, top five pick,
- 26:36Speaker 3: top 10 pick, whatever it is. But like, you can
- 26:38Speaker 3: kind of hide in the fray of like your, you
- 26:40Speaker 3: can have individual stats and be like, all right, yeah,
- 26:42Speaker 3: I'm going to do the best I can and get
- 26:44Speaker 3: 10 sacks this year.
- 26:45Speaker 4: Right.
- 26:45Speaker 3: And when I go to the combat, I can be like, yeah,
- 26:47Speaker 3: I had 10 sacks, even though we were down in
- 26:50Speaker 3: every single game or, you know, these games up to
- 26:52Speaker 3: this point. So it's bad, man. Cause you love Beamer,
- 26:54Speaker 3: like just being around him. I know you love him.
- 26:56Speaker 3: I know you swing the sword for him.
- 26:58Speaker 4: For sure.
- 26:58Speaker 3: Just the short amount of time I was around, I'm like,
- 27:00Speaker 3: this seems like an awesome fit for a South Carolina,
- 27:02Speaker 3: like one of these brands that need a good culture
- 27:05Speaker 3: guy to kind of help and resurrect the program and
- 27:07Speaker 3: get him to some sort of national relevance. And it's
- 27:10Speaker 3: just tough, dude.
- 27:11Speaker 1: You know he cares.
- 27:12Speaker 4: Right.
- 27:13Speaker 5: Yes.
- 27:13Speaker 1: Whether or not everybody commenting on the coaching, everything else,
- 27:16Speaker 1: when you're around him, you know he fucking cares about
- 27:19Speaker 1: the culture. He cares about South Carolina football. Right. And
- 27:22Speaker 1: most coaches won't. Like whoever.
- 27:25Speaker 4: Like Will Muschamp, he didn't care about South Carolina. Like
- 27:28Speaker 4: Steve Spurrier didn't even care about South Carolina. He was
- 27:32Speaker 4: the best coach. Steve Spurrier did it to prove a point.
- 27:35Speaker 4: Like I can win anywhere, which he did. But he
- 27:38Speaker 4: left mid-year in his last year. But it's like there's
- 27:41Speaker 4: not that many great coaches have a tie to the school.
- 27:44Speaker 4: So it's like they're always going to use South Carolina
- 27:47Speaker 4: unless we get one. To get to the next one.
- 27:49Speaker 1: To get to the next job. Where Beamer is like.
- 27:51Speaker 4: I want to do it here.
- 27:51Speaker 3: Yeah, you need your Dillingham.
- 27:53Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 27:53Speaker 3: You need your guy.
- 27:53Speaker 1: It sucks because a couple years ago when you guys
- 27:56Speaker 1: were 9-3 argued about to get in the college football playoff.
- 27:59Speaker 4: Dude, all of this stuff just makes me hate that
- 28:02Speaker 4: LSU game that year so much more because we win
- 28:05Speaker 4: that game, we go to the playoff, and I think
- 28:07Speaker 4: like a playoff berth that year changes the trajectory of
- 28:10Speaker 4: everything for the school.
- 28:11Speaker 1: Yeah. Oh, yeah.
- 28:12Speaker 4: So you just always go back to that season and
- 28:14Speaker 4: you're like, We were that close. Now we're suffering.
- 28:18Speaker 1: We had a couple on Bussin and Pate on campus
- 28:23Speaker 1: that we were calling early playoff games moving over to
- 28:27Speaker 1: the Big Ten with Oregon, USC, Iowa, Michigan. Do we
- 28:33Speaker 1: want to get into it with Iowa, Michigan?
- 28:35Speaker 3: Yeah, we should.
- 28:35Speaker 1: Hey, you were right on Iowa plus five and a half.
- 28:39Speaker 3: Yeah, that's funny. Dude, here's the thing about this game.
- 28:43Speaker 3: It's like If you just watch the game in totality,
- 28:48Speaker 3: like mute it. If you just put the All-22 on
- 28:51Speaker 3: and watch the game, you would be like, oh, Michigan
- 28:53Speaker 3: won this game by more than two touchdowns. That's how
- 28:56Speaker 3: well Michigan operated. It's the best the offensive has looked
- 29:00Speaker 3: since the Whittingham era has begun. It's a team that
- 29:03Speaker 3: does great against the run. We ran the ball well.
- 29:05Speaker 3: It's a team that everyone says, hey, make Bryce Underwood
- 29:08Speaker 3: throw it. Bryce Underwood threw it, and he looked fantastic.
- 29:10Speaker 3: He did a great job extending plays. He was decisive
- 29:12Speaker 3: with the ball when he had to get it out
- 29:13Speaker 3: of his hands. He did a great job running the ball.
- 29:15Speaker 3: He had one dumb interception that seems like a miscommunication
- 29:18Speaker 3: between him and Marsh. But we would get the ball
- 29:22Speaker 3: in true Iowa fashion, like inside the 20 every single drive.
- 29:25Speaker 3: and they would drive it down the field so we
- 29:28Speaker 3: have a fourth and one and we do a quarterback
- 29:30Speaker 3: sneak but Bryce does the quarterback sneak as if he's
- 29:32Speaker 3: on the goal line so he reaches the ball over
- 29:34Speaker 3: which may or may not have gotten him the first down,
- 29:37Speaker 3: but then brings it back to him. And so if
- 29:39Speaker 3: you have the ball out and you bring it back
- 29:40Speaker 3: to you on your own, Mike, that's not a defensive
- 29:42Speaker 3: player making you bring it back. You are basically giving
- 29:45Speaker 3: up that yardage. So we lose a fourth and one there.
- 29:47Speaker 3: What does our team do on defense? They stop them.
- 29:51Speaker 3: Like this team, Iowa runs the football. They always have
- 29:54Speaker 3: a great offensive line, a great running back, tight ends
- 29:57Speaker 3: that are willing to block. And we held them to
- 29:58Speaker 3: like I don't know the exact, can you.
- 30:00Speaker 1: Look it up?
- 30:00Speaker 3: I think it's like 60 yards total rushing. Something like that.
- 30:03Speaker 3: It was a very low amount. I mean, that might
- 30:05Speaker 3: be too low. But dude, I'm just telling you.
- 30:10Speaker 5: 58. 58.
- 30:11Speaker 3: We held them to 58 yards rushing. And they had
- 30:14Speaker 3: like 285 yards, but the last drive was 91 yards.
- 30:18Speaker 3: That was compiled of penalties, tip balls that shouldn't have
- 30:24Speaker 3: gone to Iowa, balls that should have been interceptions. that
- 30:27Speaker 3: just get tipped in the air and falls in the
- 30:29Speaker 3: Titans hands. Like Michigan played so well in this game
- 30:34Speaker 3: and the penalties are, is the shit that gets you beat.
- 30:38Speaker 3: That's the frustrating thing about this game is like, I
- 30:41Speaker 3: know they looked, you watch the game. It's like, Oh shit.
- 30:44Speaker 3: Like if I'm a casual fan, I'm kind of excited
- 30:46Speaker 3: watching Michigan right now. Cause they're throwing the ball down
- 30:49Speaker 3: the field. Cause they're getting explosive plays. Cause they got
- 30:51Speaker 3: a little moxie little order to them right now. And
- 30:54Speaker 3: it's just like plays would go and they would have
- 30:56Speaker 3: elongated drives and then just kind of putter out. Iowa
- 30:59Speaker 3: had one drive that whole game that resulted in a
- 31:02Speaker 3: touchdown other than the last drive of the game. And
- 31:05Speaker 3: they go and they go up 14-13. It's like six
- 31:08Speaker 3: plays later and a 45-yard bomb to J.J.
- 31:11Speaker 1: Buchanan.
- 31:12Speaker 3: Bryce Underwood throws it and it's another touchdown. It's like, oh,
- 31:14Speaker 3: this team just seems like a very good football team
- 31:18Speaker 3: that chooses to get in their way. Like this kid
- 31:20Speaker 3: named Zeke Berry who's been on the team forever. It's
- 31:23Speaker 3: a two minute drill. There is less than a minute
- 31:26Speaker 3: left in this game. They're on the opposite 40. It's
- 31:28Speaker 3: third and 11. They throw it to the Michigan sidelines
- 31:30Speaker 3: and they break up the pass. So they're now on
- 31:33Speaker 3: the sidelines and Zeke Berry decides to push that Diaz kid.
- 31:38Speaker 3: who said in a press conference, oh, they run a
- 31:40Speaker 3: lot of man coverage. Man coverage is a candy shop
- 31:42Speaker 3: to me. Like, oh, what kind of candy do I
- 31:43Speaker 3: want to get? Because I'm so good at man coverage.
- 31:45Speaker 3: And during that time, like on TV, that was one
- 31:47Speaker 3: time I was tuned in, he like drops the ball. Yeah, yeah, yeah,
- 31:50Speaker 3: out to the flag. And they're like talking about like,
- 31:53Speaker 3: this kid's getting locked up during the day and you
- 31:55Speaker 3: essentially have the game. Now it'll be fourth and 11
- 31:57Speaker 3: from the opposite 40 with less than a minute and
- 32:00Speaker 3: Zeke Berry pushes the kid and flags fly, 15-yard penalty.
- 32:04Speaker 5: The.
- 32:05Speaker 3: The two seconds left, and I know everyone's talking about
- 32:07Speaker 3: karma and all this stuff from the Western Michigan game. Like, okay,
- 32:10Speaker 3: we can call it karma. Well, sure, that's fine. That play,
- 32:14Speaker 3: our safety is in front of it, should have picked it,
- 32:17Speaker 3: tips it, and it just falls right onto the tight
- 32:20Speaker 3: end with two seconds left. Then we got the last
- 32:24Speaker 3: play of the game. Everything's on the line. We rush three,
- 32:27Speaker 3: press man on the outside with a quarterback spy against
- 32:31Speaker 3: Hank Brown, who's not a rushing quarterback from the 18-yard line. Now,
- 32:37Speaker 3: Michigan fans are going to rip J. Hill apart. J.
- 32:40Speaker 3: Hill is not your issue. That last play sucked. That
- 32:42Speaker 3: last play call sucked. However, in totality, that game, the
- 32:47Speaker 3: defense is going to be great and has continued to
- 32:49Speaker 3: be great. This kid, number two, catches the ball for Iowa.
- 32:52Speaker 3: That's a good ball. That's a salty white boy right there.
- 32:54Speaker 1: A lot of intangibles in that kid.
- 32:56Speaker 3: A lot of intangibles, a lot of work ethic with
- 32:58Speaker 3: that kid right there.
- 32:59Speaker 1: No, he is a stud.
- 32:59Speaker 3: He had both their touchdowns. And then a special teams touchdown.
- 33:03Speaker 3: We drive the ball down the field, score a touchdown,
- 33:06Speaker 3: kick it off, and they run it back for a touchdown.
- 33:08Speaker 3: And it's like everything that.
- 33:10Speaker 1: Iowa is known for, that Kirk Ferentz is known for.
- 33:13Speaker 1: He did the Michigan.
- 33:14Speaker 3: I said it. They are the best coach team in
- 33:16Speaker 3: college football. And also probably a bottom tier talented team.
- 33:21Speaker 3: That's not a shot at them. That's just the reality.
- 33:25Speaker 3: They do more with less. Iowa and Michigan. This is
- 33:28Speaker 3: the most Iowa football win I have ever seen in
- 33:31Speaker 3: the history of Iowa football.
- 33:34Speaker 1: Huskers a few years ago. It's a big Iowa football win.
- 33:39Speaker 1: Here's the good news.
- 33:41Speaker 3: Everything's still out in front of us. We have one loss.
- 33:44Speaker 3: We should have won that game by multiple touchdowns. And
- 33:46Speaker 3: if we could just cut the fucking penalties out. Because
- 33:48Speaker 3: Zeke Berry's going to get a lot of heat. Jay
- 33:49Speaker 3: Hill's going to get a lot of heat. But there's
- 33:51Speaker 3: so many plays before that that they wouldn't even be
- 33:53Speaker 3: put in that position to make that dumb play or
- 33:56Speaker 3: that dumb play call. So it's like, who are we
- 33:59Speaker 3: mad at? We should be mad at ourselves.
- 34:01Speaker 1: Because that is.
- 34:02Speaker 3: That's one that slips through the crack where you just hope,
- 34:04Speaker 3: like I'm listening to JP talk about the LSU game
- 34:06Speaker 3: from three years ago. And I'm like, I hope that
- 34:08Speaker 3: wasn't the one. I hope that wasn't the one from Michigan.
- 34:10Speaker 1: All right. We're taking a quick break from the episode

- 35:56Speaker 3: That something happens in like three years like do you
- 35:57Speaker 3: remember iowa you beat that game you make the playoffs
- 36:00Speaker 3: all the things because we looked at iowa's schedule i was.
- 36:04Speaker 1: A playoff team i was got a path i always got.
- 36:07Speaker 3: A very hank brown clear pass to the legend and
- 36:11Speaker 3: it's like dude shout out hank brown like he got
- 36:13Speaker 3: it done.
- 36:15Speaker 1: Yeah, because when you look at Iowa's schedule, this week
- 36:18Speaker 1: they got Ohio State. I know college game day, they're
- 36:20Speaker 1: headed there. Then they go to Washington, but Washington's been
- 36:24Speaker 1: a dud this year. Even at home, Washington's been a dud.
- 36:26Speaker 1: They just lost to Minnesota at home. Right. Iowa goes
- 36:29Speaker 1: to Minnesota. That's a trophy game for them. Yeah. That's
- 36:34Speaker 1: an actual trophy game for them? No, no, no.
- 36:36Speaker 3: I think they play for a giant pig or something
- 36:37Speaker 3: like that.
- 36:38Speaker 1: Hell yeah, they do.
- 36:39Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 36:39Speaker 1: Then you host Wisconsin. Wisconsin a little salty. Penn State
- 36:42Speaker 1: blows 17-0 lead. against Wisconsin over the weekend. Then they
- 36:47Speaker 1: go to Northwestern. Which, yeah. Northwestern, you can't sleep on Northwestern.
- 36:52Speaker 1: Aiden Giles has got to move around a little bit.
- 36:54Speaker 1: So maybe they don't have a path. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 36:57Speaker 1: This is us kind of, I guess, sleeping on the
- 36:58Speaker 1: Big Ten. But then you host Purdue. You go to Illinois.
- 37:01Speaker 1: Then you got Nebraska at the end of the season.
- 37:03Speaker 1: Illinois just fired their D.C. A mid-year firing of their D.C.
- 37:07Speaker 1: Or maybe they parted ways. Maybe they thought it was
- 37:09Speaker 1: best for the program. All I know is when Ohio
- 37:11Speaker 1: State was on the goal line, illinois had nine guys
- 37:15Speaker 1: on the field nine bielma's like hey let's let's let's
- 37:21Speaker 1: just take a meet i want to say he's the
- 37:25Speaker 1: the pr said that the dc called the meeting before
- 37:28Speaker 1: like a coach's meeting to go with bielma and then
- 37:31Speaker 1: they just decided that for the leadership of the program
- 37:33Speaker 1: it was best for them to part ways.
- 37:34Speaker 6: Yeah and that was the dc's first year he used
- 37:38Speaker 6: to be the head coach at montana in like Just
- 37:41Speaker 6: took that job. Runs like this 3-3-5 defense. Bielema hires him.
- 37:45Speaker 6: Four games in. Hey, you're gone, buddy.
- 37:48Speaker 1: He can't have nine on the field goal line situation. Yeah.
- 37:52Speaker 2: After that.
- 37:52Speaker 3: Bet Bielema doesn't mess around, dude.
- 37:54Speaker 2: Jeremiah Smith is now the favorite to win the Heisman
- 37:57Speaker 2: right now.
- 37:57Speaker 3: He has four touchdowns and like 225 receiving. That white
- 38:00Speaker 3: boy was in hell on that play. The fact that
- 38:03Speaker 3: Jeremiah Smith said I was laughing when I was doing
- 38:05Speaker 3: it at the end, I felt bad. Dude, Jeremiah Smith
- 38:10Speaker 3: is absolutely incredible.
- 38:12Speaker 1: Somebody said, oh, you got to see, I saw a tweet.
- 38:14Speaker 1: It was like, you got to see Jeremiah Smith's route
- 38:17Speaker 1: on this one play, The Route. And then it was
- 38:19Speaker 1: a video of the movie Get Out where that dude
- 38:22Speaker 1: is like sprinting at nighttime with just a straight face look.
- 38:27Speaker 1: But you know that white boy, he was a safety,
- 38:30Speaker 1: I believe. Yeah. I mean, you know, you got to
- 38:33Speaker 1: turn around and go with Jeremiah. Jeremiah catches, he's behind him.
- 38:36Speaker 1: He turns one way, spins him another. Oh, yeah. At
- 38:39Speaker 1: least they'll have that story for the rest of the time. Like,
- 38:41Speaker 1: you know your boy played some college ball.
- 38:43Speaker 3: You see that Hall of Famer?
- 38:44Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 38:45Speaker 3: He ratted me up one time. I was like, yeah,
- 38:46Speaker 3: he's ratted fucking everybody up, dude. Scroll up real quick, Sherm.
- 38:49Speaker 1: Oh, my God. This guy is fast. Where'd he go? But, dude.
- 38:57Speaker 1: Son of a bitch. What call are we in right now?
- 39:00Speaker 1: Why am I covering Jeremiah Smith?
- 39:03Speaker 3: The worst part is Jeremiah, he's in front of him.
- 39:06Speaker 3: He's got to keep on looking back at him.
- 39:08Speaker 1: He's running away from him. He's on the sideline. They
- 39:12Speaker 1: found him. Coach, what the fuck was that, man? That
- 39:14Speaker 1: is a horse out there. My white ass ain't covering him.
- 39:20Speaker 1: I need some help over top.
- 39:22Speaker 3: You know Jeremiah Smith. He sees that white safety. He's like, oh, yeah,
- 39:26Speaker 3: we're about to have a day right here.
- 39:27Speaker 1: Throw me the rock, dude.
- 39:29Speaker 5: Just.
- 39:30Speaker 1: hey, put his hand up.
- 39:31Speaker 3: It's Julian saying, we're going to be all right right here.
- 39:34Speaker 3: Jeremiah was running too. He probably heard him just, oh no.
- 39:39Speaker 3: Breathing hard as hell. Jeremiah Smith just jogs off. Nasal
- 39:42Speaker 3: breathing still. No problem at all.
- 39:45Speaker 1: Hey, good look out there.
- 39:46Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 39:47Speaker 3: Just sunned him, dude. All to be said, Michigan's got
- 39:52Speaker 3: to get their head out of their ass.
- 39:53Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 39:54Speaker 3: Michigan's got to just play disciplined football.
- 39:56Speaker 1: Who you guys got this week?
- 39:57Speaker 2: Minnesota.
- 39:58Speaker 1: Oh, yeah.
- 39:58Speaker 3: For the Brown Jug.
- 39:59Speaker 1: Fleck Bank.
- 40:00Speaker 3: Trophy game. Fleck Bank, yeah.
- 40:02Speaker 1: They had a moment, too. Fleck Bank was having a
- 40:04Speaker 1: moment with one of his guys.
- 40:05Speaker 3: When he wiped the blood off Buddy and put it
- 40:06Speaker 3: on his cheek like Braveheart.
- 40:09Speaker 1: It's a crazy move.
- 40:10Speaker 3: Like, P.J. Fleck continues to do weird shit, but also
- 40:14Speaker 3: kind of is like, all right, fuck yeah, dude. Keep
- 40:16Speaker 3: doing your weird shit. Like- I'll mess with it. But also,
- 40:20Speaker 3: I'm like, I don't know.
- 40:22Speaker 1: That one was crazy.
- 40:23Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 40:24Speaker 1: Oregon.
- 40:25Speaker 3: USC.
- 40:26Speaker 1: Seems like USC's hit their ceiling.
- 40:29Speaker 3: Dude, I'll tell you what. That Wyatt kid, number 17.
- 40:32Speaker 3: That's a ball player right there. And then that throw
- 40:36Speaker 3: that he had to Maiava had to him early in
- 40:38Speaker 3: the game. It was like a little piss missile rope
- 40:40Speaker 3: right over the linebacker. They can score points now. But
- 40:44Speaker 3: Oregon seems like they found their mojo a little bit.
- 40:46Speaker 3: I feel like this is Dante Moore and that hit
- 40:51Speaker 3: is disgusting. Like the safety smiling about it after like the.
- 40:56Speaker 1: Post hit was all disgusting. Yeah.
- 40:58Speaker 3: Post it. Like when you're hitting, when you're hitting the kid,
- 41:00Speaker 3: like I saw people saying like, we had to get
- 41:02Speaker 3: rid of the slide. It's like, what the fuck? Like,
- 41:04Speaker 3: what are you going to do? Like, It's just the
- 41:06Speaker 3: baseball slide, that's the situation to get yourself in. Slide earlier,
- 41:10Speaker 3: I guess, is the answer.
- 41:11Speaker 1: Yeah, he's got to know to get, because if you're watching,
- 41:13Speaker 1: it's almost like you can tell he might have been
- 41:15Speaker 1: thinking about going across field for a moment, but then
- 41:18Speaker 1: just slid kind of last second. Like the defender was already,
- 41:22Speaker 1: he was committed. Yeah. But everything after that, I like, yeah,
- 41:25Speaker 1: that was a bad look. That was gross.
- 41:28Speaker 3: Lincoln Riley, he has a statement. The kid himself, he
- 41:30Speaker 3: has a statement. They write it out and post it.
- 41:33Speaker 3: I always hate that. I wish the kid would have
- 41:35Speaker 3: a little, Hey, listen, I fucked up. That's on me.
- 41:39Speaker 3: I shouldn't have done that. Me smiling after is gross.
- 41:42Speaker 3: I shouldn't... Like, just go eight miles, slim shady yourself,
- 41:44Speaker 3: call yourself a piece of shit, and then keep it pushing. Like,
- 41:47Speaker 3: that's the move to get those things done. But I
- 41:50Speaker 3: heard Dante Moore, it's just a concussion, right?
- 41:52Speaker 1: Yes.
- 41:52Speaker 3: Just a concussion. It's going to be all right. There
- 41:55Speaker 3: was this really scary thing. I am surprised that there
- 41:58Speaker 3: weren't multiple ejections after that took place. Multiple ejections. Because...
- 42:03Speaker 3: That's a, if you're an offensive lineman, that's a, that's a, you.
- 42:05Speaker 1: Know, you would have been on. I would have, I
- 42:08Speaker 1: would have gotten it. I was thinking it too. I
- 42:10Speaker 1: was like, man, what the guys were starting to shove
- 42:12Speaker 1: them a little bit, but I'm thinking I'm, I'm surprised.
- 42:15Speaker 3: You got to tackle buddy to the ground, pull up
- 42:18Speaker 3: that face mask and start just churning on that job.
- 42:21Speaker 3: Like you got to like get ejected, get suspended. Hey,
- 42:25Speaker 3: you hurt the team. We need you to play. Fuck
- 42:27Speaker 3: that dude. Like your quarterback gets hit like that.
- 42:29Speaker 1: Oh no.
- 42:30Speaker 3: Like, do you want your draft stock to go up?
- 42:32Speaker 3: Your quarterback gets knocked out and you knock out the
- 42:33Speaker 3: guy who knocked out the quarterback? Your draft stock just
- 42:35Speaker 3: went up.
- 42:35Speaker 10: Yeah.
- 42:36Speaker 1: Good on Dan Lanning, though, keeping everybody poised and composed.
- 42:41Speaker 1: Handle business. I'm with you on the first initial reaction,
- 42:43Speaker 1: like the guy standing around him. I was like, man,
- 42:46Speaker 1: are they not going to, is the team not just
- 42:48Speaker 1: going to get after this dude?
- 42:50Speaker 3: It felt weird, right? But also, like, yeah, you go
- 42:52Speaker 3: back to being poised, disciplined, all the things. We have
- 42:54Speaker 3: a future ahead of us. Dante Moore's going to be fine, hopefully.
- 42:56Speaker 1: Meetings happen all the time. Don't fucking do shit that
- 42:58Speaker 1: hurts the team.
- 42:59Speaker 3: But that shit, him taking a knee, that kid taking
- 43:01Speaker 3: a knee and smiling about it.
- 43:05Speaker 1: I'm sure you.
- 43:05Speaker 3: Feel good about the idea that the quarterback that you're playing,
- 43:09Speaker 3: who's very good, who had Heisman hopes going into the year,
- 43:12Speaker 3: you took him out of the game, which, like it
- 43:14Speaker 3: or not, is a benefit to your football team. Now,
- 43:17Speaker 3: I didn't know Dylan Royola was going to go in
- 43:18Speaker 3: there and absolutely spin it. Dude, he was spinning the.
- 43:21Speaker 1: Pill, bro.
- 43:22Speaker 3: But as a defense, you're like, there's a reason why
- 43:25Speaker 3: Sean Payton had.
- 43:28Speaker 3: What was he telling the guys? What's that?
- 43:30Speaker 2: Bounty Gate.
- 43:31Speaker 3: Bounty Gate. It's the reason why, because you get these
- 43:33Speaker 3: quarterbacks out of the game, usually the drop-off is massive.
- 43:37Speaker 3: And so, you know, it's still gross, and you shouldn't
- 43:40Speaker 3: do that. But, like, we got to figure that shit out.
- 43:43Speaker 3: We can't have that. But Dylan Rayola, dude.
- 43:47Speaker 1: It's funny, there's Bounty Gate. You take out these fucking quarterbacks.
- 43:50Speaker 1: I'm just saying. The drop-off, like, that's what you want,
- 43:53Speaker 1: but also, like, disgusting. You can't do it.
- 43:55Speaker 11: Disgusting display.
- 43:55Speaker 3: You can't do that. Like, you understand....
- 43:58Speaker 1: Why it's a.
- 43:59Speaker 3: Good thing for the other team if the other team's
- 44:00Speaker 3: quarterback is hurt, but you can't do that shit. We'll
- 44:04Speaker 3: be very clear.
- 44:05Speaker 1: What a moment for Dylan Rayola coming into that game
- 44:10Speaker 1: in that spot after such a, like the emotions of
- 44:13Speaker 1: the hit, everybody getting the sideline, everything else, and to
- 44:16Speaker 1: go out there and spin it the way he did.
- 44:20Speaker 1: I was fired up for him. I'm sitting back watching.
- 44:22Speaker 1: I'm like, dude, good for him. Because that quiet work
- 44:26Speaker 1: where you have to ultimately just put your head down.
- 44:29Speaker 1: You've been the guy. He was the guy at Nebraska.
- 44:32Speaker 1: You got everybody talking about you going to Oregon. And
- 44:35Speaker 1: just everything you have to do to kind of take
- 44:36Speaker 1: a back seat and just put your head down and
- 44:39Speaker 1: work and truly be patient, have a bit of an
- 44:41Speaker 1: ego death. And to come in in that spot and
- 44:44Speaker 1: slinging around the way he was, he looked good, man.
- 44:47Speaker 1: Dylan looked good. He looked good.
- 44:48Speaker 3: Like, yeah, he threw some deep balls in the perfect place.
- 44:52Speaker 3: He marched him down the field immediately, got a touchdown.
- 44:55Speaker 3: De'Air Hill, that running back, that was the spark plug,
- 44:58Speaker 3: I think, for them to alleviate a lot of pressure
- 45:01Speaker 3: off of Dylan Rayola. Like, a lot of question marks
- 45:04Speaker 3: in the run game with this offensive line. Could they
- 45:06Speaker 3: get it done? De'Air Hill, not only in the run
- 45:08Speaker 3: game did it, but he had a couple screens that
- 45:09Speaker 3: Rayola kind of hit him on real quick, and he
- 45:11Speaker 3: had explosive plays there. There's multiple times that there's a
- 45:15Speaker 3: dude in Rayola's face and he's putting the ball 20,
- 45:17Speaker 3: 30 yards in the field in the perfect spot. So
- 45:20Speaker 3: it's like, holy shit, dude. This is a damn good quarterback.
- 45:23Speaker 3: And it's so interesting because we spend a lot of
- 45:25Speaker 3: time focusing on Dylan Rayola because he was a Nebraska guy.
- 45:29Speaker 3: It seemed like his sense of urgency in the Ducks
- 45:31Speaker 3: uniform seemed completely different than what we saw in Nebraska.
- 45:35Speaker 3: In Nebraska, it seemed like this calm, like calm-ish, but
- 45:38Speaker 3: like to the point where it's like, hey, you got
- 45:40Speaker 3: to kind of hurry yourself up a little bit. And
- 45:42Speaker 3: Oregon's offensive line has struggled protecting. You see that in
- 45:45Speaker 3: the Oklahoma State game, and they were doing a good
- 45:47Speaker 3: job rushing the passer for USC as well. But he
- 45:50Speaker 3: was instinctive. He was on time. When things would break down,
- 45:53Speaker 3: he did a great job of extending the play and
- 45:55Speaker 3: throwing it deep down the field and allowing Stewart and
- 45:57Speaker 3: these other guys. Who's the tight end number nine? He
- 46:00Speaker 3: also had a couple of great catches in the middle
- 46:01Speaker 3: of the field.
- 46:02Speaker 1: Jabari Johnson. Jabari Johnson.
- 46:03Speaker 3: You just see Dylan and this talent around him, and
- 46:07Speaker 3: it's like, If he has another game like that, because
- 46:10Speaker 3: most likely Dante Moore is not going to play this
- 46:11Speaker 3: game and maybe even the next game, you hate to
- 46:14Speaker 3: see it, but is there a world where Dylan Rayola
- 46:17Speaker 3: kind of takes over for Oregon if he continues to
- 46:21Speaker 3: show that kind of poise, that kind of ability?
- 46:23Speaker 1: I was thinking the same question, because I don't know.
- 46:27Speaker 1: I mean, you have Dante Moore, who was... In the highs,
- 46:31Speaker 1: like Dante Moore, he's a good football player.
- 46:33Speaker 3: Would have been a top five pick last year.
- 46:35Speaker 1: Yeah, if he left. Like that was kind of the
- 46:36Speaker 1: whole conversation, him coming back to Oregon. But if Dylan
- 46:39Speaker 1: goes out there and lights it up, like to your
- 46:41Speaker 1: point too, you see Dylan tapping into that potential of
- 46:43Speaker 1: being more urgent, having more urgency in the pocket. And
- 46:46Speaker 1: when he's well protected, like the dude's got great arm talent.
- 46:50Speaker 1: If he goes and lights it up these next couple weeks,
- 46:52Speaker 1: when Dante is ready to come back, yeah, I don't know.
- 46:56Speaker 1: I have no clue. I'm sure Oregon fans will be
- 46:58Speaker 1: talking about it.
- 46:59Speaker 3: It almost feels like uncomfortable to talk about it because
- 47:02Speaker 3: the gruesome hit that took place in the injury. And
- 47:05Speaker 3: it's like, you don't really want to say like, oh,
- 47:07Speaker 3: Dylan played so well. Does Dylan now take over? But
- 47:10Speaker 3: the kind of the reality of football is if you
- 47:12Speaker 3: don't like the best ability to The best way, the
- 47:15Speaker 3: best ability is availability.
- 47:16Speaker 1: Yes, sir. Yes, sir.
- 47:17Speaker 3: If you're not in and someone does ball, like, do
- 47:20Speaker 3: you keep that guy in?
- 47:21Speaker 1: Now we're bringing up a hypothetical right now. Totally.
- 47:26Speaker 3: You want to tiptoe around like the kind of the
- 47:28Speaker 3: sensitivity of the situation with Dante, but that kid did fucking,
- 47:31Speaker 3: he threw it around a little bit.
- 47:34Speaker 1: He threw it around a little bit. Not really. He
- 47:36Speaker 1: was kind of tossing it around.
- 47:37Speaker 3: That's all we're going to say.
- 47:38Speaker 1: Could you imagine? Listen, we're focused on Maryland. We're focused
- 47:43Speaker 1: on Maryland. But could you imagine if we get, when
- 47:46Speaker 1: the Huskers go out to Oregon in a few weeks. Undefeated.
- 47:51Speaker 1: I wasn't going to bring that part up. Just in
- 47:54Speaker 1: this hypothetical world, just Dylan Rayola versus the Nebraska Cornhuskers.
- 47:58Speaker 3: I think the last thing that Nebraska wants, and Rayola
- 48:03Speaker 3: continues to do what he's doing. It's the last thing
- 48:07Speaker 3: the Huskers want.
- 48:08Speaker 1: Hang on now.
- 48:09Speaker 4: The Prince fulfilled his promise to a new student.
- 48:12Speaker 1: If Dylan continues to do what he's doing, what about
- 48:13Speaker 1: if the Huskers continue to do what they're doing?
- 48:16Speaker 3: Yeah, but there's something about a pissed-off quarterback, man.
- 48:19Speaker 1: Where's the game at? Pissed-off Dan Lincoln.
- 48:20Speaker 11: It's in Oregon.
- 48:20Speaker 1: It's in Eugene.
- 48:22Speaker 2: That fairs well. That is better for Dylan. If it
- 48:25Speaker 2: were in Nebraska, I'd be– I'm all in on it.
- 48:28Speaker 3: I kind of think the opposite.
- 48:29Speaker 5: Oh, no.
- 48:30Speaker 3: I think Dylan came to Lincoln.
- 48:31Speaker 1: I'm in Memorial. He's good that he gets to be
- 48:34Speaker 1: at home for that one.
- 48:36Speaker 10: Will would be in his face mask. Just the cut
- 48:41Speaker 10: of like, I'm so happy for the kid. The sense
- 48:43Speaker 10: of urgency, the ego, death, all the things. It just
- 48:45Speaker 10: cuts to Will being like.
- 48:46Speaker 3: Fuck you, pussy. We're going to beat that fucking ass today.
- 48:49Speaker 1: You're in hell tonight.
- 48:50Speaker 3: Kids still 19 years old, 1920s. Can't even drink it.
- 48:53Speaker 3: Kid can't legally drink it. Will's just in this kid's face.
- 48:56Speaker 1: But oregon might have woke up though like the way
- 48:58Speaker 1: dan lanning's talking after the game saying you you want
- 49:00Speaker 1: to win football games you come out here to this
- 49:02Speaker 1: school you want to go to a chris brown concert
- 49:04Speaker 1: you go to usc like he's talking like they've been
- 49:06Speaker 1: undefeated and they're just the top five team in the country.
- 49:08Speaker 3: Right i mean they handled business dude and he was
- 49:11Speaker 3: like did such a good job of like kind of
- 49:13Speaker 3: gaslighting lincoln riley to say something really nasty about him
- 49:15Speaker 3: and nasty about the hip like I don't think that
- 49:17Speaker 3: reflects this kid or Lincoln Riley or anything like that
- 49:19Speaker 3: but then he'd just go on being nasty yeah and
- 49:21Speaker 3: then Oregon social team bro that was an elite post
- 49:27Speaker 3: by the admin needs a raise for that yeah there's
- 49:30Speaker 3: always a bigger picture God shout out.
- 49:33Speaker 1: The Oregon social team.
- 49:34Speaker 3: Yeah they crushed it dude crushed it you know Dan's
- 49:37Speaker 3: so happy to get that done Defense, though, like USC's
- 49:41Speaker 3: offense is really good. That defense, like still, a lot
- 49:45Speaker 3: of X plays on the field for them. I didn't
- 49:47Speaker 3: expect it to go that way as much.
- 49:50Speaker 1: How do you think USC fares the rest of the year?
- 49:52Speaker 1: Because when we were talking about the A-gap last week,
- 49:56Speaker 1: like this is a massive A-gap game for Lincoln Riley.
- 49:58Speaker 1: It's like the dude just does not win in these spots.
- 50:01Speaker 1: Can you pull up the schedule? USC or?
- 50:05Speaker 5: USC. USC.
- 50:07Speaker 1: So when I say they got Indiana.
- 50:08Speaker 3: I'm just telling you, man, you get Michigan's penalties.
- 50:10Speaker 1: You figure that out. I just want to lay that
- 50:13Speaker 1: in there. All right. USC might not even be the
- 50:17Speaker 1: best team in LA right now. Like they're going to
- 50:19Speaker 1: have to play.
- 50:19Speaker 3: Yeah, UCLA. They're nice. Dude, I mean, Penn State, they just.
- 50:25Speaker 1: Go to Penn State. Go to Wisconsin. You host Ohio State.
- 50:29Speaker 1: You go to Indiana. Maryland's dead. And then last game
- 50:34Speaker 1: of the year against UCLA. Yeah, but trucking.
- 50:36Speaker 3: Like if UCLA is still playing super well, that Maryland,
- 50:38Speaker 3: you said they're sneaky. And I've seen them a lot
- 50:41Speaker 3: the second to last game of the year. And they
- 50:43Speaker 3: just kind of have a way of sticking around.
- 50:46Speaker 1: If USC is dropping.
- 50:46Speaker 3: Because Rutgers, we're forgetting about what happened with Rutgers last week.
- 50:50Speaker 3: Like they have a lot of vulnerabilities taking place right now.
- 50:52Speaker 3: A lot of vulnerabilities.
- 50:54Speaker 1: But USC absolutely sucks traveling to the Eastern time zone. Yeah. Fortunately,
- 50:59Speaker 1: they get to be home there. But this is if
- 51:01Speaker 1: they even survive. Like this wouldn't even necessarily be a
- 51:03Speaker 1: trap game. If they're playing Maryland, they've dropped against at Indiana.
- 51:07Speaker 1: They drop against Ohio state. I'm not saying like, it'll
- 51:11Speaker 1: be interesting to see him play against Washington this weekend.
- 51:13Speaker 11: I see.
- 51:13Speaker 3: I think Washington to me, I kind of just like,
- 51:19Speaker 3: I mean, that Penn state game is going to be awesome.
- 51:21Speaker 3: Penn state should have beat. Well, you know, you say
- 51:23Speaker 3: should have, could have, should have, would have, but Penn
- 51:24Speaker 3: state's a good ball club. It's in 17 point lead.
- 51:28Speaker 1: I mean, you.
- 51:29Speaker 3: Got logically you're looking at, unless they pick it up
- 51:31Speaker 3: big time, Penn state L. Ohio State L, Indiana L,
- 51:36Speaker 3: and then who knows at UCLA if they can continue
- 51:38Speaker 3: to do the thing they're doing. So you're looking at
- 51:41Speaker 3: four games that you kind of lean towards a loss
- 51:45Speaker 3: and a win. And if that is the case, Lincoln
- 51:48Speaker 3: Riley is most definitely in the A-gap. Most definitely in
- 51:52Speaker 3: a bad spot.
- 51:53Speaker 6: Yeah, Lincoln Riley has 39 wins since he's been at USC.
- 51:57Speaker 6: Only four of them are against ranked teams.
- 51:59Speaker 2: Cool.
- 52:01Speaker 1: I can't. It's like I want to comment on that.
- 52:04Speaker 10: Yeah.
- 52:05Speaker 1: We still searching for a ranked win over here with Nebraska.
- 52:09Speaker 1: More focus on Maryland.
- 52:10Speaker 3: Focus on Maryland.
- 52:10Speaker 1: I'll tell you what though, Indiana is mortal. If anybody
- 52:13Speaker 1: tuned into that game on Friday night against Northwestern. I
- 52:15Speaker 1: know one person was, Cody.
- 52:17Speaker 3: Cody couldn't take his eyes off that game. We'll get
- 52:19Speaker 3: to that in the intro of Bustin' with the Boys.
- 52:22Speaker 1: Also, a good Friday night light story that's going to
- 52:24Speaker 1: come on Bustin' with the Boys tomorrow.
- 52:25Speaker 3: Oh my God, it's going to be incredible. Pull up
- 52:28Speaker 3: Oklahoma State's Schedule. JP said this before. It was cool
- 52:32Speaker 3: to say it, but Oklahoma State, maybe the Big 12 team.
- 52:35Speaker 3: Maybe they're a Big 12 team. Before the year started,
- 52:38Speaker 3: it seemed like everybody already knows this. It was Texas
- 52:40Speaker 3: Tech and then everybody else. Massive separation. But you look
- 52:43Speaker 3: at the Big 12 right now.
- 52:44Speaker 2: Time out.
- 52:44Speaker 1: Hold on.
- 52:45Speaker 3: Before you say anything, be very cautious. Joey McGuire is
- 52:49Speaker 3: listening right now.
- 52:49Speaker 1: I love Joey McGuire.
- 52:51Speaker 3: We love Joey McGuire.
- 52:52Speaker 5: We.
- 52:52Speaker 1: Yeah. Because I forget how I was in a group chat.
- 52:57Speaker 1: I think he might have messaged. Me and Peyton, I go,
- 52:59Speaker 1: I said, hey, Coach Joey, just to let you know,
- 53:03Speaker 1: Peyton did say he liked Sam Houston this weekend to
- 53:05Speaker 1: get you guys. So I'm a Joey Maguire guy here. Okay.
- 53:10Speaker 1: But as far as talking about the Big 12, because
- 53:12Speaker 1: people probably, you know, if you're big SEC fans, big
- 53:16Speaker 1: Big Ten fans. The Big 12 right now is kind
- 53:20Speaker 1: of crowded at the top. Texas Tech does look mortal.
- 53:23Speaker 1: I say that very softly and slowly, Joey McGuire, because
- 53:26Speaker 1: I know you're tuned in right now. But you look
- 53:27Speaker 1: at Utah. Cincinnati is undefeated right now. Oklahoma State. BYU. Houston.
- 53:33Speaker 1: West Virginia is still good. West Virginia is still good.
- 53:37Speaker 1: We're not going to just sell the stock on West Virginia.
- 53:39Speaker 3: But Oklahoma State, man. I'll tell you what. That quarterback,
- 53:43Speaker 3: he nice. That's a nice little ball club out there.
- 53:46Speaker 1: Over 600 yards of offense out of West Virginia.
- 53:49Speaker 3: Their defensive line is good, too. Like, they're older, more established.
- 53:53Speaker 3: They know what they're doing. Like, Stillwater's got themselves a
- 53:56Speaker 3: little ball club right now. We're not saying anything. It's
- 53:58Speaker 3: still Texas Tech.
- 53:59Speaker 1: But you look at the first week, because I want
- 54:01Speaker 1: to say I was saying this on Bussing and Pate.
- 54:04Speaker 1: Their first week, what was it, about three, a little
- 54:06Speaker 1: over 300 yards of total offense? Yeah. But over their
- 54:09Speaker 1: last three games, they are close to averaging 600 yards
- 54:12Speaker 1: of total offense.
- 54:13Speaker 10: Mm-hmm.
- 54:14Speaker 1: Like, they are tough, man. Oklahoma State is playing some
- 54:17Speaker 1: tough ball out there in the Big 12.
- 54:18Speaker 2: They got a salty wide receiver, too, Wyatt Young.
- 54:21Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 54:22Speaker 3: He's a North Texas transfer.
- 54:24Speaker 10: Yeah.
- 54:24Speaker 3: He is nice, dude.
- 54:27Speaker 1: Bowick, who's like 6'5, out there on the perimeter.
- 54:29Speaker 8: I think the big win for Oklahoma State, as far
- 54:33Speaker 8: as schedule goes, is not having BYU or Utah on there.
- 54:37Speaker 3: I mean, as it stands right now, you have one
- 54:40Speaker 3: more ranked game. No, you have Texas Tech.
- 54:42Speaker 1: Excuse me. You can't sleep on going out to Kansas State, though.
- 54:46Speaker 3: You can't sleep on any teams. We've learned about college football.
- 54:49Speaker 3: You can't sleep each and every week.
- 54:50Speaker 1: That is true.
- 54:51Speaker 3: You can't sleep each and every week. But you've got
- 54:52Speaker 3: Houston at 20 right now. You've got Texas Tech at 12.
- 54:54Speaker 3: We're going to know everything we need to know about
- 54:57Speaker 3: this team in two weeks against Houston.
- 55:00Speaker 1: Do not go anywhere because I am here to protect
- 55:02Speaker 1: your pockets. This football season, whether you're buying tickets, booking travel,
- 55:06Speaker 1: or shopping for team gear, protect your pocket with Visa.
- 55:10Speaker 1: Tapping to pay for a bootleg jersey without checking the card?
- 55:13Speaker 1: Not a pro move. Tapping to pay with Visa? That's
- 55:16Speaker 1: a pro move. Visa runs more than 500 security checks
- 55:20Speaker 1: to identify fraud before each transaction is approved online. so
- 55:24Speaker 1: you don't have to worry, except for how that medium
- 55:26Speaker 1: jersey fits after another dozen wings. This season, remember, a
- 55:29Speaker 1: great defensive play is when you pay with Visa, the
- 55:33Speaker 1: most trusted way to pay for football fans everywhere.
- 55:38Speaker 4: Staying while you can, man. There's still a little bit
- 55:40Speaker 4: of time to earn some money off of Oklahoma State.
- 55:44Speaker 4: This is my last call to everybody.
- 55:45Speaker 3: This is it.
- 55:46Speaker 4: This is last call. This is last call on Oklahoma State.
- 55:49Speaker 4: If you don't get in now, there's nothing I can
- 55:51Speaker 4: do for you.
- 55:53Speaker 3: The uh that's the fun part about the big 12
- 55:55Speaker 3: in the acc is like no one's really watching that
- 55:58Speaker 3: everyone's just kind of like oh we'll see where the
- 56:00Speaker 3: playoff bracket lands us we'll be okay that was the
- 56:01Speaker 3: best team but you are right like people are still
- 56:05Speaker 3: kind of sleeping on oklahoma state a little bit i.
- 56:08Speaker 1: I personally feel like the big 12 is more competitive
- 56:10Speaker 1: way more competitive right now than the acc to me
- 56:12Speaker 1: the acc doesn't know what it wants to do like
- 56:15Speaker 1: cow selling me down the river against Clemson on Friday.
- 56:19Speaker 3: Yeah, that's tough. Golly. And then Clemson had to travel
- 56:22Speaker 3: all the way out to Berkeley.
- 56:24Speaker 1: Yeah, bro.
- 56:25Speaker 3: Disgusting game.
- 56:26Speaker 1: Disgusting, man. I'm like, yo, people are talking about me
- 56:29Speaker 1: getting the Calgar rhythm. I'm like, oh, hell yeah. We
- 56:31Speaker 1: are heating up with the Cal Bears. And then a
- 56:34Speaker 1: dud against Clemson, who's very much been wounded all year.
- 56:38Speaker 3: Dude, and then Louisville, who has been unbelievable. And then
- 56:42Speaker 3: Wake Forest goes and upsets them.
- 56:44Speaker 1: Wake Forest.
- 56:44Speaker 3: Wake Forest. They're nice. I mean, they've been the most
- 56:49Speaker 3: competitive against Miami so far, so far.
- 56:53Speaker 1: Yeah, like I'm with you that Wake Forest is good.
- 56:56Speaker 1: To me, they're ACC good. But the level that, I'll
- 57:00Speaker 1: hold it in my hand. Maybe not everybody was doing this.
- 57:02Speaker 1: I was feeling like Louisville was like a competitive, like
- 57:05Speaker 1: last week I had them in my top 10. Like, okay,
- 57:08Speaker 1: they just lost to a one possession game against Ole Miss.
- 57:11Speaker 1: This is a team who can run the ball. They
- 57:13Speaker 1: can stop the run. They can do all the things,
- 57:14Speaker 1: keen holds, kind holds, whatever you want to call them.
- 57:16Speaker 1: He's a stud. They couldn't run the ball against Wake Forest.
- 57:19Speaker 1: We talk about how good their running game is. Wake
- 57:21Speaker 1: Forest shut them down. Wake Forest ran the ball well
- 57:23Speaker 1: against them. And so I'm like, damn, Louisville, what are
- 57:26Speaker 1: you doing? You're supposed to be the team that's going
- 57:29Speaker 1: to compete against Miami. And then you go out and
- 57:31Speaker 1: lose to Wake Forest. And now I don't know what
- 57:33Speaker 1: to do in the ACC. I wanted the ACC to
- 57:35Speaker 1: be like, hey, this conference is going to get going.
- 57:37Speaker 3: You want to be able to talk yourself into something
- 57:39Speaker 3: in the ACC besides Miami because you know Miami is
- 57:41Speaker 3: that good. But also psychologists say, Louisville played SMU the
- 57:45Speaker 3: week before. That was a very big emotional game for them.
- 57:48Speaker 4: SMU's falling off too.
- 57:50Speaker 1: SMU was in a dogfight against Missouri State.
- 57:53Speaker 3: Fourth quarter game. Emotional games.
- 57:56Speaker 1: I'm trying to find a way.
- 57:57Speaker 3: Like, help me help you.
- 57:58Speaker 1: You know?
- 57:58Speaker 3: Because it's tough right now.
- 58:01Speaker 1: Exciting Virginia Tech. Exciting. But they were in, again, a
- 58:06Speaker 1: fourth quarter game against Boston College. Bad weather.
- 58:09Speaker 3: Bad weather.
- 58:09Speaker 1: You're right. Okay, we'll go bad weather. A.
- 58:12Speaker 3: That's where Bustin' and Pitt on campus will be this week.
- 58:15Speaker 1: I am so fired up.
- 58:19Speaker 5: Pitt.
- 58:20Speaker 3: I said Penn.
- 58:21Speaker 1: My bad. Pitt's been taking care of business.
- 58:24Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 58:24Speaker 1: Blacksburg is going to be rocking on Friday night.
- 58:27Speaker 3: And it's a Friday game. And we get to be
- 58:30Speaker 3: there two to three.
- 58:31Speaker 1: Both teams undefeated.
- 58:33Speaker 10: Unreal.
- 58:34Speaker 1: ACC game of the week.
- 58:36Speaker 3: Enter Sandman taking place.
- 58:37Speaker 10: Don't.
- 58:40Speaker 3: There is one last thing on here. Are you good
- 58:41Speaker 3: with the ACC talk or is there anything else?
- 58:43Speaker 1: Duke 4-0, Nate Shepard. Don't sleep on the kid now.
- 58:45Speaker 1: He should be in the Heisman. He should be on
- 58:47Speaker 1: these Heisman lists that are out way too early. He's
- 58:49Speaker 1: a dog.
- 58:49Speaker 4: You might got to drop a Heisman list.
- 58:52Speaker 1: Yeah. Maybe I need to drop me a Heisman list.
- 58:55Speaker 1: He might be speaking right there. I'll get one out
- 58:57Speaker 1: for you guys who are tuned in. I'm going to
- 58:59Speaker 1: get you guys a Heisman list. The best players in
- 59:01Speaker 1: the country right now. Nate Shepard will be on that list.
- 59:03Speaker 6: And shout out Manny Diaz, just like losing, you know,
- 59:07Speaker 6: obviously Mensah and Cooper Barkett but just hey turning it
- 59:10Speaker 6: around and keeping plugging on.
- 59:12Speaker 8: Keep plugging on when are you gonna title the Heisman list.
- 59:16Speaker 1: We'll think about it okay I'm gonna chew on it
- 59:18Speaker 1: for a little bit okay fair enough Duke 4 Duke
- 59:21Speaker 1: 4 no though.
- 59:22Speaker 12: Duke 4 no though ACC good or actually good Duke
- 59:27Speaker 12: is ACC good Okay. Duke is ACC good on my,
- 59:30Speaker 12: on my, like my tears, whatever you want to call them.
- 59:32Speaker 12: This is the last, this is the last bar right here.
- 59:34Speaker 12: It says, can we now start talking about Nebraska making
- 59:37Speaker 12: the playoffs?
- 59:38Speaker 1: That's rat poison. We can't do that. I can't do
- 59:40Speaker 1: that on the show. I do appreciate you. That's good showmanship.
- 59:44Speaker 1: We got to talk about the Huskers, how they're undefeated
- 59:46Speaker 1: and they're stomping everybody right now. Cause they were what?
- 59:48Speaker 1: Four and a half or five and a half point
- 59:50Speaker 1: favorites against Michigan state beat him by what? Three scores,
- 59:52Speaker 1: a little flat in the third quarter. Husker fan base
- 59:55Speaker 1: is kind of pissed off about how we come out
- 59:56Speaker 1: of halftime, but I was like, he's like, We're taking
- 59:59Speaker 1: care of business. Calandria looks good. Jamal Rule, he got hurt.
- 1:00:02Speaker 1: He got injured. I hope that's not a bad injury.
- 1:00:04Speaker 3: I'll say this, though, as a Nebraska fan base, for
- 1:00:07Speaker 3: you to be mad about one quarter of football and
- 1:00:10Speaker 3: how they came out in third quarter, that's how you
- 1:00:12Speaker 3: know Nebraska's trending in the right direction. You're not talking
- 1:00:14Speaker 3: about the totality of the game. You're not talking about
- 1:00:16Speaker 3: discipline and flags and Zeke Berry and the sideline that
- 1:00:18Speaker 3: let them come back. You're talking about one quarter of
- 1:00:21Speaker 3: football that they came out a little bit flat. Nebraska's
- 1:00:24Speaker 3: doing all the things they need to do right now. Calandria,
- 1:00:26Speaker 3: the guy.
- 1:00:27Speaker 1: Defensively, They're violent and they're flying around. It's some good
- 1:00:30Speaker 1: stuff that you can see on tape. Everybody out there
- 1:00:33Speaker 1: is going to say, we played nobody. That's fine. I'm
- 1:00:35Speaker 1: with you. It's one weekend at a time.
- 1:00:37Speaker 3: As much as I dislike Michigan State, they had a
- 1:00:39Speaker 3: great coach. They're a well-disciplined team. You guys played Michigan
- 1:00:46Speaker 3: State better than Notre Dame played Michigan State.
- 1:00:48Speaker 1: Yeah. Michigan State went to Notre Dame and that game
- 1:00:52Speaker 1: was 27-10. Now you're at home against the Huskers ready
- 1:00:56Speaker 1: for a get-back game and we stomp you 31-13. Yep.
- 1:01:00Speaker 3: All those things you said were great. I would just
- 1:01:03Speaker 3: turn down the volume a little bit on stomp. Turn
- 1:01:05Speaker 3: down the volume a little bit on stomp. Because truly, dude, like, Maryland,
- 1:01:10Speaker 3: I'll say it. Do not respond to it. You guys
- 1:01:12Speaker 3: should smack the fuck out of Maryland. Don't say anything
- 1:01:15Speaker 3: to that. And then Indiana, we're going to know everything
- 1:01:18Speaker 3: we need to know about this team. Because Indiana's human.
- 1:01:21Speaker 3: They're human and it's at home.
- 1:01:23Speaker 10: Yeah.
- 1:01:23Speaker 3: And you know who's going to be there?
- 1:01:25Speaker 6: Us.
- 1:01:26Speaker 3: We will be at that game. We'll be watching that game.
- 1:01:29Speaker 3: I think Dirk is going to be at that game too.
- 1:01:33Speaker 3: Dirkie Turkey? Dirkie Turkey wearing enemy colors though.
- 1:01:35Speaker 1: Coming from Will's head.
- 1:01:36Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 1:01:37Speaker 3: Durkee don't know. He can't even drive.
- 1:01:39Speaker 1: He all good. I'm going to be in Durkee's face
- 1:01:42Speaker 1: all game.
- 1:01:45Speaker 3: I'll tell you what, dude. That's going to be a game.
- 1:01:49Speaker 3: Take care, Maryland.
- 1:01:51Speaker 1: We beat. You can't fall asleep.
- 1:01:52Speaker 3: I'll say we.
- 1:01:53Speaker 1: We beat Indiana.
- 1:01:55Speaker 3: We are a playoff team.
- 1:01:57Speaker 2: Nebraska was receiving votes to be ranked, too.
- 1:02:00Speaker 1: I saw. I saw.
- 1:02:02Speaker 3: I'm glad they were not ranked. They did last week, too.
- 1:02:06Speaker 3: They got like one or two last week.
- 1:02:07Speaker 1: Yeah, I was going to say it was like three
- 1:02:08Speaker 1: last week.
- 1:02:09Speaker 2: They got 36 this week.
- 1:02:10Speaker 1: Yeah. Hey, I was checking that out. I was checking that.
- 1:02:13Speaker 1: Still a lot of quality teams ahead of us. They
- 1:02:15Speaker 1: should be. We should not be ranked.
- 1:02:17Speaker 2: When was the last time you guys were ranked?
- 1:02:20Speaker 3: We is yeah let me last year for a little
- 1:02:22Speaker 3: bit yeah.
- 1:02:23Speaker 1: When we played the bus and ball i believe we
- 1:02:25Speaker 1: might have been ranked there might have been 24 or
- 1:02:27Speaker 1: something like that yeah yeah dumb because again you're going
- 1:02:30Speaker 1: to get to indiana well again maryland maryland we haven't
- 1:02:33Speaker 1: beat a ranked team since.
- 1:02:35Speaker 3: 2016 do you wish the way you see nebraska playing
- 1:02:37Speaker 3: right now the bus and bowl was this.
- 1:02:38Speaker 1: Year i do but yeah i want to continue to
- 1:02:42Speaker 1: see us play some good ball like i want to
- 1:02:44Speaker 1: see this team back half of the season because that's
- 1:02:47Speaker 1: when our lull's been i want to see this team
- 1:02:48Speaker 1: against these ranked ball clubs good football teams because we
- 1:02:52Speaker 1: got indiana and oregon back to back um still washington
- 1:02:56Speaker 1: like i know we've talked about washington the way we've
- 1:02:58Speaker 1: talked about them but again all all these games like
- 1:03:02Speaker 1: the only one i'm kind of disrespectful towards is rutgers
- 1:03:04Speaker 1: at rutgers but iowa ohio state illinois washington oregon indiana
- 1:03:10Speaker 1: like we got some games that everybody's gonna want to
- 1:03:13Speaker 1: know it's it's so hard i know we're sipping We're
- 1:03:16Speaker 1: sipping the roulette right now.
- 1:03:17Speaker 3: No, you bought it.
- 1:03:18Speaker 2: It's there.
- 1:03:18Speaker 3: Don't even crack the can yet. The thing is, is
- 1:03:21Speaker 3: you're exactly where we thought.
- 1:03:23Speaker 1: Oh, I'm sipping some roulette right now.
- 1:03:24Speaker 11: That's correct.
- 1:03:25Speaker 2: Don't sip, dude.
- 1:03:25Speaker 1: Don't sip yet. Like an lollipop. No, come on.
- 1:03:30Speaker 3: Dude, the thing is, is you're exactly where we expected
- 1:03:33Speaker 3: to be at this point in the season.
- 1:03:35Speaker 1: People didn't expect us to be undefeated right now.
- 1:03:38Speaker 5: Who?
- 1:03:39Speaker 1: There's people out there. There's a bunch of haters. Like,
- 1:03:41Speaker 1: you guys aren't going to be 5-0 going against Indiana
- 1:03:43Speaker 1: right now. Bunch of haters. I promise you.
- 1:03:46Speaker 3: Right now you're 4-0.
- 1:03:47Speaker 1: We're going to be 5-0.
- 1:03:47Speaker 3: We fully expect to be 5-0.
- 1:03:49Speaker 1: Let's just go.
- 1:03:50Speaker 5: Maryland.
- 1:03:50Speaker 1: Maryland.
- 1:03:52Speaker 4: You're right.
- 1:03:52Speaker 1: You're right. When we get a time, don't fall asleep
- 1:03:56Speaker 1: on Maryland.
- 1:03:56Speaker 3: Don't fall asleep on Maryland. Just focus. I would really
- 1:04:01Speaker 3: suggest putting some sort of saran wrap over the can
- 1:04:03Speaker 3: you just cracked, dude, and putting it back in the fridge.
- 1:04:05Speaker 3: Let it stay cool. Because you're going to lose some carbonation.
- 1:04:08Speaker 3: You let it crack like that. Don't do it.
- 1:04:10Speaker 1: You're right. You're right.
- 1:04:11Speaker 3: You're right. That defense is kind of flying around right now.
- 1:04:15Speaker 2: Didn't Charles go to Maryland?
- 1:04:17Speaker 1: She did.
- 1:04:17Speaker 2: Do you guys have beef whenever they play?
- 1:04:19Speaker 1: No. There's like a nothing burger about Maryland. She tries
- 1:04:23Speaker 1: to get in the equation. I'm like, we're going to
- 1:04:25Speaker 1: fucking handle your ass. Oh, Will.
- 1:04:27Speaker 3: Say that in private. Jesus, dude.
- 1:04:32Speaker 1: And then I'm going to handle your hour. It's a
- 1:04:35Speaker 1: good show.
- 1:04:36Speaker 4: It's a good show.
- 1:04:36Speaker 1: It's a good show. Jesus.
- 1:04:39Speaker 3: What are we doing? Do we have a G6? A
- 1:04:42Speaker 3: G6 breakdown?
- 1:04:43Speaker 1: Let's get you in a Husker jersey. By the graveyard?
- 1:04:46Speaker 10: Yep.
- 1:04:47Speaker 9: We got a little bit of G6.
- 1:04:48Speaker 1: Call me Calandra.
- 1:04:48Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 1:04:51Speaker 1: It'd be mine from back in the day.
- 1:04:53Speaker 3: Okay, G6, G6, G6?
- 1:04:54Speaker 9: Yeah, G6 talk.
- 1:04:55Speaker 6: Obviously, loaded slate, but just some quick hitters. Boise State
- 1:04:58Speaker 6: dominates Western Michigan.
- 1:05:00Speaker 1: Time out, time out, time out, time out, time out. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 1:05:04Speaker 1: I'm with you.
- 1:05:04Speaker 7: What's the segment called? And you got to deliver. The
- 1:05:09Speaker 7: comment's calling for some G6 talk. Yeah, this isn't what
- 1:05:11Speaker 7: it was last week. I didn't want to do that
- 1:05:14Speaker 7: too much. That might be like a one every two,
- 1:05:16Speaker 7: every three.
- 1:05:17Speaker 9: Weeks kind of thing.
- 1:05:17Speaker 1: But what was the segment called?
- 1:05:19Speaker 9: The weekly fix of the G6.
- 1:05:21Speaker 3: Yeah, dude, give us the weekly fix to G6.
- 1:05:24Speaker 6: Hey, there's a power ranking at the end.
- 1:05:26Speaker 9: There's something going on here.
- 1:05:27Speaker 1: But I like your Mr.
- 1:05:28Speaker 3: Hands jokes and all that shit.
- 1:05:31Speaker 6: Yeah, that'll be like one every, maybe every other week.
- 1:05:35Speaker 9: Like the play on words.
- 1:05:37Speaker 1: The audience, the comments are going to be like, oh, Cody,
- 1:05:39Speaker 1: the graveyard. We need the fix of the G6. Yeah,
- 1:05:42Speaker 1: DMs about it. They're like, tell Cody how good that was.
- 1:05:47Speaker 6: So, yeah, Boise State dominates Western Michigan 32-7, takes the
- 1:05:50Speaker 6: driver's seat for the G6. Shout out to UMass, one
- 1:05:53Speaker 6: of the best turnarounds in college football. They're 4-0 after
- 1:05:57Speaker 6: only winning seven games over the last five seasons. They're
- 1:06:01Speaker 6: going to match that this year over what they did
- 1:06:03Speaker 6: the last seven years. Oregon State continue to just have
- 1:06:06Speaker 6: a dominant offense overall. Brayden Atkinson, Jesse Legree, freshman, that's
- 1:06:11Speaker 6: second in the nation in receiving. UTSA, Colorado State, I mean,
- 1:06:15Speaker 6: almost 100 points scored there. Yeah, or more, over 100 points. Yeah, 59-45,
- 1:06:21Speaker 6: over 100 points. But anytime there's a G6 Texas team involved,
- 1:06:27Speaker 6: just take the over.
- 1:06:28Speaker 9: It's almost a lock.
- 1:06:31Speaker 5: And then.
- 1:06:33Speaker 6: Shout out Ohio Bobcats. They played an opponent, the Stonehill Skyhawks,
- 1:06:37Speaker 6: which does not sound like a real team. They held
- 1:06:39Speaker 6: them to negative one yards rushing, and they rushed for
- 1:06:41Speaker 6: over 300. Chad Pennington's son, Cole, went back to his
- 1:06:46Speaker 6: dad's old stomping ground at Marshall and threw for over
- 1:06:50Speaker 6: 300 yards and four TDs. They lost on a one-second
- 1:06:52Speaker 6: field goal. And the G6, the first G6 power rankings, No. 1,
- 1:06:57Speaker 6: Boise State, No. 2, North Dakota State, No. 3, James Madison.
- 1:07:02Speaker 6: Number four, New Mexico. Number five, South Florida. Shout out
- 1:07:05Speaker 6: to our boy.
- 1:07:07Speaker 2: From Ohio State. Why am I blanking on the name?
- 1:07:10Speaker 2: Brian Hartline.
- 1:07:10Speaker 6: Yeah, Brian Hartline. Oregon State comes in at six. UTSA
- 1:07:14Speaker 6: at seven. University of Louisiana, the Raging Cajuns, number eight.
- 1:07:18Speaker 6: Number nine, Memphis. Number 10, Appalachian State. 11, UMass.
- 1:07:23Speaker 9: 12, Fresno State.
- 1:07:24Speaker 2: And that's it.
- 1:07:27Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah.
- 1:07:27Speaker 3: Sorry.
- 1:07:27Speaker 4: Shout out, baby.
- 1:07:30Speaker 3: I'll tell you what.
- 1:07:30Speaker 1: Need the fix of the G6, bro.
- 1:07:32Speaker 9: Yeah, yeah.
- 1:07:33Speaker 3: That was a great breakdown. And it's like, but if
- 1:07:35Speaker 3: you didn't give us what you gave us last week,
- 1:07:36Speaker 3: that would have been perfectly fine.
- 1:07:37Speaker 2: Yeah, I'm sorry.
- 1:07:38Speaker 3: The fact that we just had that, though, kind of
- 1:07:40Speaker 3: pissed me off. Kind of bugged me a little bit.
- 1:07:43Speaker 1: Just need one joke. If you just have something. No, no, no, no.
- 1:07:47Speaker 3: He set the tone.
- 1:07:48Speaker 1: He did.
- 1:07:49Speaker 3: He set the tone. It's like, that's now your standard. Mike,
- 1:07:51Speaker 3: don't show us you can do it one week.
- 1:07:53Speaker 10: Yeah.
- 1:07:53Speaker 6: Yeah, I got to do it week in, week out.
- 1:07:55Speaker 6: It's a what have you done for me league. And yeah,
- 1:07:58Speaker 6: and I didn't deliver. And next week, we'll be better,
- 1:08:00Speaker 6: I promise.
- 1:08:01Speaker 1: All right.
