  this tradition last year and being our first full year.

  So this is our first full full year and it's going to be fun.

  We're going to stick to the same format as last year.

  So how did that go? Yeah, I'm an extreme.

  I did. 10 drawings, obviously everybody, yeah, hopefully

  everybody that watches knows the standard of my drawings.

  in couples. Talking now about your crazy

  Well, a couple of them took them home to show their husbands

  going like, do you know what these are?

  Because I have no idea. I thought you're going to say I

  love them so much. What's wrong with people?

  So it was it was my take on on Christmas movies.

  So it was either a character or a scene from Christmas movie and

  my inimitable drawing style. They might, they might get a

  reuse on this podcast. I think it's their next live

  I mean, I'll be honest, they're too good not to use again.

  One in particular, one in one other thing.

  Yeah, two in particular I was extremely pleased with.

  And not one of the 10 people got them, so I was even more

  pleased. It was like, well, they're just

  not highbrow enough to know those films.

  Very reserved this year. I'm very lean and to the point

  No, but to be fair, and so the only like we obviously didn't

  need to do pictures of each other's top 10 whatever

  allegiance figures. So we just did pictures of the

  because we have a section for the third party stuff, the
• 3:03
  scopes, the toy photographs and the customs.

  So we thought it'd be cool to have pictures of those here if
• 3:10
  people are watching on YouTube especially and for each other,
• 3:12
  because it'd be hard to describe maybe someone's awesome toy
• 3:16
  photographs that we would actually recognise who it is.
• 3:20
  So the boys sent them over to me and so that I could put them
• 3:24
  into the stream. And yeah, Miles stuck to the
• 3:27
  brief exactly 3 and three and three and Rich did not, so you
• 3:31
  know. Well, I learned a valuable
• 3:33
  lesson last year in prepping for it.

  So I've had a folder saved on my phone with end of year, full
• 3:39
  customs, end of year photos. And there was so much stuff in
• 3:41
  those dudes like, well, I'm going to do top five.
• 3:43
  I can't narrow it down to. Three.
• 3:44
  No, right? You see, I did the same, but I
• 3:46
  must have been more merciless and judgy throughout the year
• 3:49
  because only very, you know, the very best.
• 3:53
  Oh no, I had. Made it like mine.

  I had the best part of 40 in each of them.
• 3:58
  Oh, I did. Well, see, This is why.

  So if you, if you are, you know, in that category, as in you are
• 4:05
  a toy photographer or a sculptor or a customizer and you make the
• 4:10
  grade, then you're, you're, you're going to know that
• 4:12
  there's been a lot of careful consideration and absolutely and
• 4:16
  a lot of tough competition. One will add.
• 4:18
  On to. That I've probably slacked a bit
• 4:22
  for the last couple of months. So there's been a lot of good
• 4:25
  stuff in the last couple of months.

  Unfortunately, none of that will have made it into.

  Mine, so I apologise to people who that applies to except one
• 4:34
  of my actually one of my five favorite photos actually got cut
• 4:38
  because I already had one from that person in it already.

  So it's like yeah, no, I need to spread the love here.

  Number six, you're bumped up to #5.

  That's fair, that's fair. That's a, that's a good way of

  spreading it around. You know, I, I also tried to,

  you know, you could obviously in certain aspects, maybe pick the

  same person for, for a couple of things.

  But I think that is a good idea to spread around and get as many

  people involved and mentioned as possible because I think there

  is so many things that you miss and so many people that are
• 5:10
  doing amazing stuff that we just happened to miss.

  How many things did you see in your list, Rich, that you

  realized you still have to purchase?

  Oh, I lost count with the 3D parts.

  Was that tough on your wallet? Yeah, yeah, it was just like

  going through some of the websites which I've just not

  been on, you know, the Legions Corner and all that sort of
• 5:27
  stuff. You just don't look at stuff for
• 5:28
  a while, of course. And all of a sudden I had a list
• 5:30
  of like 2530 new sculpts. It's like damn it.

  And like really, really good. Bravo.

  The sculptors out there at the moment that there's so much cool
• 5:40
  stuff. Yeah, well, the way these social
• 5:43
  media apps work, you know, if you miss, if you miss a day or
• 5:46
  two on social media, you know, it's never coming up to the top
• 5:48
  of the feed again, unless it's like almost going viral, you
• 5:51
  know, or like mini viral, whatever in this in this world.

  But yeah, that's that's absolutely crazy.

  Well, should we get on with a couple of things first, a little

  bit of news and other business. And the first thing is to plug

  our buddies new YouTube channel that's Art by Ackerman.

  Curtis has started his own Art by Ackerman channel, which is if

  you're interested in customizing action figures, you've come to

  the right place. That's his tagline.

  So he's going to be uploading videos or he has been uploading

  videos of different tips and stuff about customizing from
• 6:30
  even talking about breaking down the figures to how you do
• 6:34
  certain techniques here. Derek LeBron on already he's,

  you know, talking about wet pallets.

  He's been talking about how he set up his area for customizing.

  So that's kind of the variety of stuff I think you get on there

  and more. He set himself, I think lofty,

  lofty start. Now maybe he's just trying to
• 6:56
  get videos into the channel, but he's doing like nearly a video a
• 6:59
  day, which I think is going to be tough to keep up even for

  Curtis. And he's he's prolific

  Youtubing. I think that's going to be tough

  I was more interested, you know, in gaining a little bit of

  inspiration for my own, you know, because I've done a bit of

  tidying, actually did a bit of siding until I.

  could comfortably spend a night in here unless they like the

  smell of action figures in paint.

  But yeah, it's now covered in boxes of the retailer wave from

  our little bulk order that we did.

  So I have figures like the Monkey King and Mr. Fisher Rice.

  So I managed to get my hands on one of him so that he could be

  included in he was going to be included in my top five cosmic
• 8:50
  anyway, because I was sure he was going to be good.

  But now I got a genuine look at him so I can see and Marie Marie
• 8:56
  is super vibrant. I mean it's very hard even there
• 9:01
  on the stream. We can't really see if with the
• 9:04
  colours, they really do pop out. I mean you can see, but it's
• 9:07
  almost like if you put him behind beside the old one, you
• 9:10
  really see the difference. Totally different, almost like
• 9:13
  he's glowing. Oh no, sorry, saw point.

  No, no. Oh, I don't care.

  I couldn't give the monkeys myself.

  Yeah, one thing I found out with with the with the skeleton.

  So very cool. The skeleton is great as well,

  just didn't have it on the desk. The only small amount space here

  in front of me, they don't have a 2.0 skeleton neck, which I

  think is something we definitely miss and hopefully they
• 9:48
  introduced because it's just the normal straight 2 point open
• 9:53
  neck post painted in black. And I suppose it's OK.

  So you don't really see much of it.

  But yeah, it kind of stood out to me.

  It was a bit it was the only thing in that figure that I was

  like, oh, that's a bit strange. But it's black.

  It kind of, you know, you don't need to worry about it too much,

  But if you do kind of tilt the head up, you can kind of see
• 10:10
  more of it and you're now it's easy.

  Maybe you could paint it in bone color and maybe that would look
• 10:15
  better. And it might look weird because

  it's a bit thick as a skeleton neck.

  And it's just I think it's just because this figure has the
• 10:21
  leather rather than the armor on this, the other two point O
• 10:27
  skeleton soldier that has armor. So if it's painted in the kind
• 10:30
  of black, it looks like the continuation of the armor.

  So it's a tiny nitpick, but that would be my only nitpick from
• 10:39
  that one. And you boys, you've got Fisher

  have another helmet then you you match the yeah, the paint job or

  you can just do a kind of an alien or a space creature head

  and and that work, but it's. For me it's the whole look and

  old bio for these guys because it's just like, you know,

  arrogant so and so's. So I'm going to have one that's,

  you know, fallen out of favour and is now with some rebel type

  faction and, you know, the other one's a douchebag and yeah, so

  it's a lovely figure. Fisher Rice is my number three

  and yeah, he's great. Really like him new, could maybe

  rise up after longer in possession as I start, you know,

  messing with the the different bills and whatever.

  But he's definitely solidly in there.

  I kind of guessed as you haven't mentioned it already.

  You. Know although it's a mythic

  legions human head sculpt, that blue makes it work brilliantly

  yeah and just so many parts. Hence, I've already bought
• 22:44
  another one because I'm just, my mind's running away with all the
• 22:46
  stuff. Stuff I can do with the software
• 22:48
  that cloth parts, the mechanical part, yeah, so much stuff.

  Just the couple of things here that the the two neck pieces,
• 22:59
  that's just a bonus for a customizer, the the different
• 23:05
  arms and legs, a bit like Lee J as well for customizers.

  These are the parts that if you wanted to build, you know, from
• 23:14
  like 3D torso and you know, 3D lower legs, this is what you can
• 23:19
  make makes a whole figure. You know, out of that.

  All you need is a is a little waste peg piece and 3D parts and
• 23:28
  you've pretty much got a full figure there, you know, so
• 23:34
  really, really valuable for customizing when you get those
• 23:37
  parts. No, absolutely.

  And and honestly it's so funny how different you can make him
• 23:42
  look just by swapping the arms out and removing the chest plate
• 23:46
  bits. It's.
