- 1:11Speaker 1: I'm just setting up my music here.
- 1:14Speaker 1: Here we go.
- 1:16Speaker 1: I got to have it.
- 1:17Speaker 1: Good morning, good morning.
- 1:18Speaker 1: Good morning, it's Thursday.
- 1:20Speaker 1: Welcome back to another.
- 1:21Speaker 1: Come Out of the Wilderness.
- 1:23Speaker 1: Thursday prayer.
- 1:25Speaker 1: God is good, God is so good.
- 1:27Speaker 1: Good morning Annalee.
- 1:29Speaker 1: I'm sorry y'all.
- 1:30Speaker 1: I am giddy with excitement because I was sitting here just recapping and reflecting.
- 1:39Speaker 1: So, december, reflecting reflections on just some of the things God has done just this morning y'all, I don't have to reach far back to see how good God has been to me, my family and the women and men who are around me and surrounding me.
- 1:54Speaker 1: I'm just so grateful for this platform and being able to come before all y'all on Facebook, linkedin, twitter, I think.
- 2:02Speaker 1: I'm on Instagram live now and Parade Deck Faith Channel, so thank you so much.
- 2:07Speaker 1: If I missed anybody, thank you so much.
- 2:09Speaker 1: Oh yeah, good morning Facebook.
- 2:12Speaker 1: And for those of y'all who are on Facebook, if you're watching in the prayer group I am this obviously is also on YouTube, so you can also watch the Thursday lives in other platforms, because I know we're not in Facebook every day, but also want to do a shout out to all of the new folks who have joined our Facebook prayer group.
- 2:33Speaker 1: This is just a testament of where God is sending us and that we meet each other right.
- 2:38Speaker 1: We meet each other for worship.
- 2:40Speaker 1: So, lord, we just thank you for giving us another Thursday as we move into the lesson.
- 2:44Speaker 1: Lord, this is your platform.
- 2:45Speaker 1: Lord, glorify yourself through me so they can see you and not me, and I just thank you for this opportunity to serve and serve and serve.
- 2:54Speaker 1: Amen, all right.
- 2:56Speaker 1: So today we are talking about just three steps and three psalms I'm going to share for a stronger prayer life in 2024.
- 3:05Speaker 1: And I do want to say that this was kind of inspired by a woman who joined our Facebook prayer group.
- 3:11Speaker 1: I don't want to drop her name, so I can.
- 3:13Speaker 1: I don't want to out her on the streets, but she joined our prayer group.
- 3:19Speaker 1: I want to say was earlier this week, and she shared that she wanted to.
- 3:24Speaker 1: Part of the reason that she joined is because she wanted to have a more purposeful prayer life.
- 3:29Speaker 1: And I'm telling you it is so right on time because that is exactly the intention of us coming together.
- 3:36Speaker 1: Again, I'm live on streets where it's about business.
- 3:39Speaker 1: I'm literally on LinkedIn, ok, but the intention is for us to be purposeful in our walks so that we can plant the right seeds, and we all want to be blessed and want to bless other people, so we're going to be purposeful in our walk.
- 3:54Speaker 1: But this is also a good time because, as we're coming towards the end of this year closing out 2023, we only have another week or so to go.
- 4:02Speaker 1: In this year, many of us preparing for Christmas, some of y'all are just preparing for different holidays and all of that, but it's really a good time for you to start thinking about being more purposeful in your walk, and so I'm going to share three pieces of advice, but I'm also going to share three Psalms that have really, really blessed me and I think it's going to bless you too.
- 4:24Speaker 1: So I'm going to start with just the three Psalms, ok, and I am going to share my screen because that's how I roll and it's easier, so just bear with me.
- 4:34Speaker 1: I'm going to start with Psalm 91.
- 4:40Speaker 1: And I always again, I always talk about Psalm 91 when I talk about just fighting the different battles in your lives.
- 4:51Speaker 1: But I want to recommend Psalm 91, especially for those who are looking for purpose and really honing in on how you can come into alignment with what Heaven says about you and your situations that you're in.
- 5:04Speaker 1: So when I come into Psalm 91, I'm not only coming in here to again to fight some things off y'all, but sometimes I just need the reminder of the power of God.
- 5:15Speaker 1: So it's really easy to get distracted by all the things that's happening around us and we feel like things are out of control, right, doesn't it feel like things and people are out of control?
- 5:26Speaker 1: When I come into Psalm 91, it starts off the caption in the ESV, a Shelly version it's my refuge and my fortress.
- 5:34Speaker 1: And so it starts up with he who dwells in the shelter of the Most High will abide in the shadow of the Almighty.
- 5:42Speaker 1: And so when I come into Psalm 91, the first thing is my positioning with Heaven and I'm dwelling in the shelter of God and I'm abiding in the shadow of the Almighty.
- 5:53Speaker 1: It's so different, because sometimes I just need God, I just need to be clothed, y'all.
- 5:58Speaker 1: If I have those days where you're just like I just need to be covered, I need to go under the cover.
- 6:03Speaker 1: And so Psalm 91 is my cover.
- 6:06Speaker 1: And verse two talks about saying to the Lord, my refuge and my fortress, my God in whom I trust.
- 6:13Speaker 1: It kind of puts a stake in the ground for you to identify who God is in your life and the relationship.
- 6:19Speaker 1: So he's not only my refuge, he's my fortress, he's my God, in whom I trust.
- 6:25Speaker 1: You think about your fortress, you think about you know battles and wars if you've ever been to like old battalion areas and you know old grounds where you've seen, you know wars and walls that have been built and the fortress and the protection that you get from that, from the enemy coming in.
- 6:42Speaker 1: And so the position here is that not only is he my refuge, my safe place, but my fortress right, my protection, in whom I trust.
- 6:52Speaker 1: And so, as you keep going down into Psalm 91, it talks about not you know that he will deliver you, verse five he will not fear the terror of the night and the arrows that fly by day and the pestilence that stops and destruction.
- 7:06Speaker 1: Listen, anything that's coming up against you.
- 7:08Speaker 1: You don't have to fear or be worried or be scared of those things.
- 7:14Speaker 1: I'm not afraid of any of those things.
- 7:15Speaker 1: Fear of the terror of the night, dreams and evil things, all those things y'all.
- 7:20Speaker 1: We don't have to be afraid of those.
- 7:22Speaker 1: You don't have to be afraid of whatever arrows or schemes or plans or anything.
- 7:27Speaker 1: Everybody, anybody's got coming for you.
- 7:29Speaker 1: Because why?
- 7:30Speaker 1: He is our refuge, right, he is our fortress, right, it's in God we trust.
- 7:36Speaker 1: A thousand may fall at your side, 10,000 at your right hand, but it will not come near you.
- 7:43Speaker 1: This is such a powerful Psalm.
- 7:45Speaker 1: You think about that, all and everything happening around you, and because of his grace, because of the grace that God gives us, because of the love of Jesus, right, all these things can be falling apart at your side, but it will not come near you.
- 8:01Speaker 1: And so this is a prayer that I'll say Father, I thank you that all these things are falling at my side, 10,000 problems at my right hand, but I thank you, lord, that you grace me that it will not come near me, nor my tent, nor my family.
- 8:14Speaker 1: You know, you're right.
- 8:14Speaker 1: No, no, my health.
- 8:16Speaker 1: I thank you, lord, that it will not come.
- 8:17Speaker 1: Come near me.
- 8:18Speaker 1: I will only look with my eyes and see, basically what's happening to other folks, the wicked.
- 8:25Speaker 1: So Psalm 91, a powerful, powerful Psalm of protection, again, go in here and read the whole thing for yourself.
- 8:32Speaker 1: You know, this is one of those.
- 8:34Speaker 1: I'm going to just do a little quick.
- 8:35Speaker 1: Caution y'all.
- 8:36Speaker 1: This is one of those psalms that I know that we're, all you know, doing different versions of the Bible, but sometimes they can skew the word in such a way that it almost dumps it down.
- 8:49Speaker 1: It takes away from the power of the word.
- 8:51Speaker 1: Does that make sense?
- 8:52Speaker 1: So I'm going to urge you to just, you know, don't use the message Bible for this one, because I want you to feel the power that comes in the word when you read this one.
- 9:03Speaker 1: Read this one out loud, right, I want you to.
- 9:06Speaker 1: I want you to get the sense of authority that comes with Psalm 91 when you speak this over your family.
- 9:13Speaker 1: And I don't want you to.
- 9:14Speaker 1: I don't want you to water it down so it sounds pleasing to the world, right, I want you to.
- 9:20Speaker 1: I want you to get the power of it.
- 9:22Speaker 1: So use the ESV version, use the NIV version or the King James version, because I want you to get the full power when you read this.
- 9:31Speaker 1: Don't go for the easy version this time, okay.
- 9:34Speaker 1: So that's Psalm 91 that I wanted to share, all right.
- 9:38Speaker 1: So the next one that I want to share amen, amen.
- 9:41Speaker 1: I'm just grabbing.
- 9:42Speaker 1: I'm going to grab some comments real quick, because I usually miss y'all.
- 9:45Speaker 1: God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love and a sound mind.
- 9:49Speaker 1: Amen, yeah, claim it every day, every day, every day, every day.
- 9:54Speaker 1: All right, so now the next one I want to share.
- 9:57Speaker 1: Before I share it, I'm going to, I'm going to just tell you.
- 9:59Speaker 1: I also want to real quick.
- 10:00Speaker 1: So, when I was writing out my notes and the Lord was giving me like which, which Psalms?
- 10:07Speaker 1: Because there's some Psalms that he gives me for me and something he gives me for y'all Psalm 37 came up because it is around patience, patience.
- 10:18Speaker 1: So I'm going to pull this, I'm going to share my screen and again, we have people who listen to our audio version at the end of the week.
- 10:25Speaker 1: So for those of y'all listening, I'm just sharing my screen.
- 10:28Speaker 1: So, psalm 37, he will not forsake his saints, and it talks about fret not yourself because of evil doers.
- 10:38Speaker 1: Be not envious of wrongdoers, for they will soon fade like grass.
- 10:42Speaker 1: This is a powerful Psalm when you're in a season or a situation where, again, maybe you're you're in the situation and you are seeing all these things happening around you and you're trying to find or seeking God's response to it, but again, you're trying to be purposeful with your prayer.
- 10:59Speaker 1: So we're coming into Psalm 37 as a way to build up our spirit, man, right, we build up our spirit and if we build up our spirit, that feeds our mindset, the way we think that mindset, that's our thoughts, and then we start to speak these things.
- 11:14Speaker 1: And as we speak these things, we start to do these things right.
- 11:17Speaker 1: So that's why it's important to start here.
- 11:19Speaker 1: This is our foundation.
- 11:20Speaker 1: So Psalm 37, I've highlighted some things that have really been helpful and I'm just a great piece of support for me spiritually over the years.
- 11:31Speaker 1: And there's some words here that anytime I'm in the season where I feel like you know, come on Lord, you see what these people are doing right, I'll come into Psalm 37.
- 11:44Speaker 1: And these are the words of what I call out again, this is the easy ESV version Trust, delight, commit and be still.
- 11:53Speaker 1: Trust, delight, commit and be still.
- 11:57Speaker 1: So the first thing is trusting in the Lord and it says trust in the Lord and do good.
- 12:03Speaker 1: Trust in the Lord and do good.
- 12:07Speaker 1: So all you know when you think about, when you're in a season, when you're having to trust God, when you can't see what's coming, you know if it's a job or a health or a relationship.
- 12:18Speaker 1: You know, maybe it's just you.
- 12:19Speaker 1: You know you're trying to deal with like Lord.
- 12:21Speaker 1: I'm trying to, you know, be a better believer.
- 12:25Speaker 1: I want to have a better walk with you and he's like great.
- 12:28Speaker 1: The first thing is you got to trust me and do good, because sometimes we say we trust the Lord but then we do evil, meaning we trust the Lord 90% and then that 10% we're like we're going to try to figure out how to fix it ourselves.
- 12:42Speaker 1: So he's saying trust.
- 12:43Speaker 1: The word says trust in the Lord and do good, dwell in the land and befriend faithfulness, like live in it, live in the space.
- 12:51Speaker 1: Right, live in the space and befriend faithfulness.
- 12:55Speaker 1: Let faithfulness be a part of what you do, right?
- 12:58Speaker 1: So be faithful, trust God and be faithful with what he's giving you.
- 13:02Speaker 1: Verse four, when it talks about delight yourself in the Lord and he'll give you desires of your heart.
- 13:08Speaker 1: Why does it start with delighting ourselves?
- 13:10Speaker 1: When you're delighting yourself in something, your heart is attached to that thing, right?
- 13:17Speaker 1: So there's, there are things that we're doing that you know that we're kind of metering out in the way that we respond how we eat, where we live, who we talk to, what we wear things that give us delight, music we listen to.
- 13:31Speaker 1: You know we're delighting ourselves in these things, friends that we, you know, friends that we have, you know things that we've delighted ourselves in.
- 13:39Speaker 1: So when I'm delighting myself in the Lord, I am coming to the Lord full of joy.
- 13:42Speaker 1: I mean I'm happy about the Lord, I'm seeking him out, his character, all of those things you know.
- 13:49Speaker 1: I'm delighting the time and worship that I have with him.
- 13:52Speaker 1: And so as I'm focusing on him and delighting myself in him, right, seeking out the Lord, I just want to know you, lord, want to know more about you.
- 14:00Speaker 1: He starts to give you the desires of a heart.
- 14:03Speaker 1: So, so my prayer changes.
- 14:04Speaker 1: I don't have to beg him, right?
- 14:06Speaker 1: I don't have to beg the Lord like please give me blah, blah.
- 14:09Speaker 1: Sometimes my prayer is so simple Abba, I desire, and I just say what it is, and he'll, he'll give me a response, right?
- 14:18Speaker 1: Sometimes it's daughter, no, I've got better for you, or no, that will hurt you, or yes.
- 14:24Speaker 1: And then he'll follow through with the instructions on how and and and.
- 14:29Speaker 1: As he gives you the delights of your desires, of your heart, you then have to shift to committing your way to the heart.
- 14:36Speaker 1: You have to commit your way.
- 14:37Speaker 1: What does it mean to commit your way?
- 14:39Speaker 1: Like?
- 14:39Speaker 1: My commitment is to follow him, trust him and know that he will act Like, he will open the doors for me, he will send help for me, right?
- 14:48Speaker 1: But I'm committing my way to the way that he sees things, the way that he does things, his timing.
- 14:54Speaker 1: But I'm so, I'm committing.
- 14:55Speaker 1: I'm committing my way to the Lord, I'm committing my way to you know, focusing on how to be faithful with the things that he's giving me.
- 15:04Speaker 1: Right, I'm committed to that.
- 15:06Speaker 1: And then the last part is be still before the Lord and wait patiently, which is really hard.
- 15:12Speaker 1: It's really hard to be still and be patient when you're seeing things where it goes into fretting out yourself over the one who prospers in his way.
- 15:21Speaker 1: It's hard to be still and be patient when you see other people doing things, taking the shortcut, when you see the world working in a certain way and you're like, wait, my neighbor isn't a believer, but my neighbor is more blessed than me.
- 15:35Speaker 1: Like, why is that?
- 15:36Speaker 1: And the Lord is telling me, I got to wait, right?
- 15:40Speaker 1: Brings you right back to verse three, where you got to trust in the Lord.
- 15:43Speaker 1: Right, because he knows the path that you're on, and do you really trust in the Lord?
- 15:50Speaker 1: You have to.
- 15:51Speaker 1: In order for you to be still, you have to trust Him, right.
- 15:54Speaker 1: So Psalm 37, y'all, this is one where you know.
- 15:58Speaker 1: Maybe this is one where you're fasting and praying over.
- 16:02Speaker 1: Maybe you know you're in Psalm 37 for a few days.
- 16:05Speaker 1: Ask the Holy Spirit to meet you in the Word and reveal what it is in you that he wants you to focus on Again.
- 16:13Speaker 1: We're trying to get ourselves ready for 2024, or we're gonna soar.
- 16:17Speaker 1: You know we're gonna do better.
- 16:18Speaker 1: We're right.
- 16:19Speaker 1: Our family's gonna be blessed.
- 16:20Speaker 1: We're gonna be a blessing.
- 16:21Speaker 1: We're gonna be winners, right?
- 16:23Speaker 1: This is winning season, this is harvest season.
- 16:26Speaker 1: So we're preparing not just our spirit, but our minds and our bodies.
- 16:31Speaker 1: And so in Psalm 37 37, coming in here to Again, a line back to what God says about how we're gonna keep moving forward in him, so trusting him, delighting in him, committing in him and being still.
- 16:45Speaker 1: So we ask the Lord, lord, lord, you know, show me, show me the areas that you need me to work on when it comes to trusting you and delighting myself.
- 16:53Speaker 1: I want to commit to you and I'm gonna be still Lord while I'm watching all these things happening around me.
- 16:59Speaker 1: I'm gonna be still so.
- 17:01Speaker 1: Go in the Psalm 37, read the whole thing, y'all.
- 17:04Speaker 1: It goes, you know, much more deeper, and we're front refraining from anger and even jealousy, and you know, you know all these things.
- 17:11Speaker 1: I think this is really, really gonna bless you All right.
- 17:15Speaker 1: All right, so that's time 37.
- 17:16Speaker 1: I'm just scrolling down for those y'all who are gonna be listening, not watching, as you can see, I'm just scrolling down the rest of the that psalms.
- 17:24Speaker 1: I'm gonna come back in the room, all right, so I've got one more song and I'm gonna hit the three areas that that I wanted to, you know, share with you guys, and this song is it's really it's Psalm 112, and it's about the blessing and the joy of those who fear the Lord and and our generous generosity.
- 17:43Speaker 1: So I'm gonna share my screen again for Psalm 112.
- 17:48Speaker 1: All right, here we go.
- 17:49Speaker 1: Righteous will never be moved.
- 17:52Speaker 1: Yeah, sometimes I just come in here and I'm just like father, I thank you that the righteous will never be moved.
- 17:57Speaker 1: This is such an amazing one.
- 18:00Speaker 1: This is.
- 18:00Speaker 1: This is one of those where, again, you just need a refill.
- 18:04Speaker 1: Sometimes you need somewhere to go.
- 18:06Speaker 1: You need a psalm to read.
- 18:07Speaker 1: That will just refill you, right, refill your spirit, and this is one of those.
- 18:11Speaker 1: The righteous will never be moved.
- 18:12Speaker 1: That's the caption in my Bible.
- 18:14Speaker 1: Again, this is the ESV version.
- 18:16Speaker 1: So Psalm 112 it talks.
- 18:18Speaker 1: The first thing it says is praise the Lord.
- 18:20Speaker 1: Blessed is a man who fears the Lord, who greatly delights in his commandments.
- 18:26Speaker 1: Here we go again.
- 18:27Speaker 1: Right, delight, right.
- 18:28Speaker 1: Someone who fears the Lord, reveres the Lord, someone who honors the Lord, right, respects, right, that you know that fears the Lord and his offspring will be mighty in the land, the generation of the upright will be blessed.
- 18:42Speaker 1: But listen, a lot of us, again, we're playing.
- 18:44Speaker 1: We're praying for generational Blessings, right, we don't say curse anymore, we're not curse y'all, we're blessed, okay.
- 18:50Speaker 1: So as we're, as we're shifting into this purposeful prayer mode, right, this we're shifting into this season of you know, moving into 2024.
- 19:01Speaker 1: We're moving.
- 19:01Speaker 1: We're starting it with praising the Lord.
- 19:03Speaker 1: But look at verse 2 your offspring will be mighty in the land, the generation of the upright will be blessed.
- 19:10Speaker 1: But it starts off with blesses a man who fears the Lord and delight.
- 19:15Speaker 1: So there's a, there's a something you got to do, and then there's something that will happen.
- 19:19Speaker 1: So we start out with just praising the Lord, and I love that.
- 19:23Speaker 1: You know I come in here and I read these Psalms Wealth and riches are in his house and his righteousness endures forever.
- 19:31Speaker 1: Wealth and riches doesn't have to be financed.
- 19:34Speaker 1: Y'all.
- 19:34Speaker 1: Wealth and riches could be your health and your mental space.
- 19:37Speaker 1: Okay, it's not about being a millionaire when it says wealth and riches are in his house, right?
- 19:46Speaker 1: So I thank you, lord, that we have wealth and riches of health in my house.
- 19:51Speaker 1: I let your righteousness endures forever.
- 19:53Speaker 1: You know these are the ways that you can make prayer points out of these Psalms.
- 19:57Speaker 1: But I encourage you, you know it is well with the man who deals Generously and lens who conducts is a fear of the justice.
- 20:04Speaker 1: You know, it's just, it's just so good for you to come in here and read these songs.
- 20:09Speaker 1: He's not afraid of bad news.
- 20:11Speaker 1: I'm not afraid of bad news.
- 20:13Speaker 1: Why my heart is firm and I'm trusting in the Lord.
- 20:15Speaker 1: That's verse seven, verse six.
- 20:18Speaker 1: The righteous will never be moved and he will be remembered forever.
- 20:22Speaker 1: He will not be afraid.
- 20:24Speaker 1: So for those of y'all you know the Lord has expanded you or you know he's shown you opportunities in different areas.
- 20:31Speaker 1: That's new to you.
- 20:31Speaker 1: Praise God, let's go, let's do this, let's do this y'all, but your heart, your heart should be steady because you trust in God and therefore you will not be afraid.
- 20:43Speaker 1: Right, I'm not afraid of bad news, my heart is firm, I'm trusting in the Lord.
- 20:48Speaker 1: Huh, and coming into a situation with that attitude?
- 20:52Speaker 1: Right, and that's the spirit working, right.
- 20:55Speaker 1: So that is Psalm 112.
- 20:58Speaker 1: So, all right.
- 20:59Speaker 1: So those are my three Psalms, so I'm gonna tell you what they are again one more time and then I'm gonna share the three quick things that I want you, I wanna encourage you to do.
- 21:07Speaker 1: Psalm 37, we talked about trust and patience, right, doing good, not fretting over what other people are doing, don't worry about the success of other people.
- 21:19Speaker 1: Psalm 112, we talked about the blessings of joy and those who fear the Lord.
- 21:24Speaker 1: We talk about that just now.
- 21:25Speaker 1: And Psalm 91, again, it is comforting but it's protective, and this is really good for when you're going through those times of, or maybe you've had, fear or uncertainty, but it's talking about the safety and the refuge and the fortress and the protection of God.
- 21:41Speaker 1: All right, so now here are the three things, three things that I wanna share that you know, if you take just really small and your consistent steps.
- 21:50Speaker 1: Right, short, short, short, consistent steps.
- 21:53Speaker 1: If you're just trying to renew your walk, and there again there are people, there's those of us who we've been at it for a little bit longer and so, therefore, maybe our walk is different, but maybe it's a refresh time for you.
- 22:04Speaker 1: So the first thing that I would highly suggest selfishly, and not even a shameless plug, just a whole plug is making sure that you're joining a prayer-friendly environment that includes your friends, a prayer-friendly environment.
- 22:23Speaker 1: So we are blessed enough we've come out of the wilderness Facebook prayer group to have a dedicated space where we worship, prayer and support each other.
- 22:32Speaker 1: But it could be something that this environment could be something just as simple.
- 22:38Speaker 1: And when I say environment now, I'm talking about not just the space, but the people around you.
- 22:43Speaker 1: Okay, I'm not telling you to go build a new prayer closet.
- 22:46Speaker 1: Please stop with the prayer closets.
- 22:48Speaker 1: You can meet Jesus in the car.
- 22:49Speaker 1: Please stop with these trends y'all.
- 22:52Speaker 1: The purpose of having a place where you close the door and speak to the Lord is so that you have deep, deep worship.
- 23:00Speaker 1: But I want you to understand that you can have deep, deep worship.
- 23:04Speaker 1: Going to take a walk my friend, carmen went for a walk yesterday and she was sharing her wind, right, just going out to take a walk.
- 23:13Speaker 1: But I promise you that sister was worshiping the whole time she was out there and she was in deep, deep worship.
- 23:18Speaker 1: So please don't create these environments where you have these now established rules on how you're gonna show up and talk to God, because he might not be there in your closet, okay.
- 23:29Speaker 1: So creating a prayer-friendly environment, so that means the people, maybe the small group that you're meeting with, maybe you're going to a church, maybe you thought about joining your church's prayer group.
- 23:42Speaker 1: Y'all, please get involved.
- 23:45Speaker 1: You wanna be tied into believers that support and encourage Bible-based prayer.
- 23:52Speaker 1: I don't mean like a group where you just get together and gossip.
- 23:56Speaker 1: I mean real prayer-friendly environments, right, peaceful environments where you can build and grow and you're more intentional in your prayer and you should see growth.
- 24:07Speaker 1: If you are still saying the same prayers over and over again, then something isn't right, something is out of alignment.
- 24:14Speaker 1: You should be growing with this group, right?
- 24:17Speaker 1: That's how you know the Holy Spirit is leading and guiding.
- 24:20Speaker 1: So that's the first thing is a prayer-friendly environment, whether it's a person, but get out of that place, right?
- 24:28Speaker 1: The second thing is journaling.
- 24:30Speaker 1: So I have a journal that I keep.
- 24:33Speaker 1: I write down.
- 24:34Speaker 1: Mainly I use it to write down some of the thoughts that not thoughts y'all.
- 24:39Speaker 1: I write down instructions.
- 24:40Speaker 1: I won't even go say thoughts, but I write down instructions.
- 24:43Speaker 1: And I have many journals.
- 24:45Speaker 1: But I do keep the journal because sometimes I have certain like I'll have a dream and I'll just wanna write the dream down until the Lord comes back and I'll pray over that thing until he'll come back and explain it for me or he'll confirm it in different ways.
- 25:02Speaker 1: But keeping a journal is good for you to keep note.
- 25:05Speaker 1: But what I also don't want you to do is to get into the just the behavior of just journaling.
- 25:10Speaker 1: Sometimes, when the Lord speaks to me, it's just meant for me to listen to what he's saying.
- 25:16Speaker 1: I don't need to run tell somebody and I don't need to write it down.
- 25:21Speaker 1: Sometimes it's just for me to listen and absorb what he's saying and then leave it there.
- 25:27Speaker 1: Let it just come into the heart, okay.
- 25:30Speaker 1: So journal when you need to.
- 25:32Speaker 1: If you have prayer requests, that's great.
- 25:34Speaker 1: But again, prayer is one way, it's only one way, of connecting to the Lord and a lot of us are making prayer and monologue and it's not right.
- 25:43Speaker 1: So it's a two-way conversation to the Lord, so you might pray to him and he might answer you after the prayer when you stop praying.
- 25:51Speaker 1: But use your prayer journal as a way for you.
- 25:53Speaker 1: I think it's such a good way to reflect.
- 25:56Speaker 1: I have, like I said, I have many journals.
- 25:58Speaker 1: I would dare not look at some of the things.
- 26:02Speaker 1: Sometimes, the way that the Spirit speaks to me, I just go into overflow and sometimes it's hard to explain what it is that is happening.
- 26:11Speaker 1: So for me, for my own mindset, I've got to take notes of it.
- 26:16Speaker 1: And then I have a spiritual accountability partner and spiritual mother.
- 26:22Speaker 1: Okay, that I will go back and I'll share some of those things, but it helps me kind of you know, kind of keep track of what heaven is saying.
- 26:32Speaker 1: And then I love to go back and see how blessed I am.
- 26:35Speaker 1: Sometimes you need to just go back and look at your prayer journal.
- 26:38Speaker 1: Some of y'all have prayer journals that you haven't looked at, that you've been writing in all this year.
- 26:43Speaker 1: Maybe over Christmas, pull out your prayer journals and go look and see how blessed you are and that's how you celebrate christmas.
- 26:50Speaker 1: How about that?
- 26:51Speaker 1: All right.
- 26:52Speaker 1: So the last thing, the last Last thing I want to share with you in terms of just advice.
- 26:58Speaker 1: It's a journey, it's a journey and worship is a lifestyle.
- 27:08Speaker 1: So, so something the lord has shown me for uh, for specifically for come out of the wilderness, the prayer group, and where we're going in 2024 and I love that my sister-in-law, karen, came through and confirmed it for me Is that we are going to be focusing on spirit, mind and body.
- 27:26Speaker 1: Spirit meaning what we're doing right, we're praying and we're growing together.
- 27:30Speaker 1: We're worshiping.
- 27:31Speaker 1: Mind, meaning our perception and some of the things that we need to, you know, break through in order for us to make wise decisions, and you know, how do we help each other grow, whether you're trying to be an author or a Mom, a teacher, whatever it is.
- 27:45Speaker 1: So mine, like, how can we help each other grow together that way?
- 27:48Speaker 1: Um, and body and body meaning like our health, y'all we needed, we need to do better taking care of our health and so.
- 27:56Speaker 1: So one of the the the things for me, as I'm looking at a stronger, more impactful Prayer life, it's really important.
- 28:05Speaker 1: Like, for me, there's no way I can lead anything, whether I'm leading on my job or I'm leading as a speaker or author?
- 28:13Speaker 1: None of these things, mrs Pah.
- 28:15Speaker 1: I can't lead anything.
- 28:16Speaker 1: Prayer group I can't do any of those things if I'm not disciplined in my faith.
- 28:21Speaker 1: So that's why it's so important to have this, this, uh, this stronger prayer life.
- 28:27Speaker 1: Y'all use the Psalms that I've shared with you.
- 28:29Speaker 1: I think it's really.
- 28:30Speaker 1: You're really gonna bless you.
- 28:31Speaker 1: Um, for those of y'all who are on the youtube streets, please don't forget to like the video so they don't kick us off.
- 28:37Speaker 1: Those of y'all in the facebook prayer group, please share.
- 28:41Speaker 1: You know your thoughts and you know some of the resources that you're using.
- 28:45Speaker 1: Create a chat so that people can Continuously can't have a conversation, you know.
- 28:50Speaker 1: Make sure that we're supporting each other and just remember that this is a journey.
- 28:55Speaker 1: You're not on it by yourself.
- 28:56Speaker 1: You've got, hopefully, you're in a group where you have a good sense of support and inspiration.
- 29:02Speaker 1: If you're not in the facebook group, you're welcome.
- 29:05Speaker 1: There is no choice.
- 29:06Speaker 1: I just want to make it clear.
- 29:10Speaker 1: It's free y'all.
- 29:11Speaker 1: You can just look up, come out of the wilderness On the facebook streets and we'll, you know, we'll invite you when it's free, and the link is usually in our, in our chat someplace.
- 29:21Speaker 1: So so, with that, I think that's gonna bless you.
- 29:24Speaker 1: I'm gonna just close out now.
- 29:25Speaker 1: I'm praying.
- 29:25Speaker 1: I thank you, lord, thank you, father, for giving us, lord.
- 29:28Speaker 1: Sometimes we just need, sometimes we just need a little help and encouragement and for you to just show us how we can make Our lives, in our walk, a little bit better with you.
- 29:39Speaker 1: We thank you that you always have your angels coming on alongside of us to minister to us and and showing us what Heaven says about what we should do.
- 29:47Speaker 1: And and I pray, lord, that these psalms and your word will will Be illuminated to the people who read it, who seek it, and that they will find you, that everyone who is seeking you, lord, will find you in such a special way today, and that will come out of um the behaviors that are just not yielding anything.
- 30:08Speaker 1: So many people are in prayer closets and they come out and they're, they feel, worse than they were.
- 30:13Speaker 1: So, lord, I just pray that you will speak to the hearts of those who are seeking you, truly seeking you, in that Maybe you'll demonstrate the power of the holy spirit a little bit differently today, so they know, lord, god, that the god I serve is for real.
- 30:25Speaker 1: And so I thank you, lord as we close out this amazing morning.
- 30:29Speaker 1: We thank you for your blessing and all that is coming for all of your people, live or replay.
- 30:35Speaker 1: I pray that god is going to bless, release the blessing for them, amen, y'all.
- 30:39Speaker 1: Isn't that amazing?
- 30:41Speaker 1: Y'all go back and catch the replay.
- 30:43Speaker 1: Y'all share and, uh, you know, share this with your friends and family.
- 30:47Speaker 1: Seriously, go back and grab your prayer journals.
- 30:49Speaker 1: Just, you know, just look at, maybe last month, y'all, amen, thank you, look, yes, amen, amen, thank you.
- 30:57Speaker 1: Facebook For ministry.
- 30:58Speaker 1: Thank you for encouraging we're, uh, absolutely, y'all.
- 31:01Speaker 1: Have a good rest of your week as you're preparing for Christmas.
- 31:05Speaker 1: I will be back, um, on the facebook group.
- 31:08Speaker 1: Six thirty am, there is a, uh, christmas morning, so I will be there, obviously, hello, so I'll see y'all on monday and y'all take care of each other, be kind to each other, and god bless you Amen.
