Speaker 1: So the name Krista Pike should ring a bell because
• 0:02
Speaker 1: that's the woman in Tennessee who survived two attempts at execution.
• 0:07
Speaker 2: She was on death row. They tried.
• 0:09
Speaker 1: She did not die. She was considered brain dead in
• 0:12
Speaker 1: the hospital and then woke up and said, where am I?
• 0:15
Speaker 1: And they're like, oh, my gosh, you're speaking.
• 0:17
Speaker 2: This is insane. They could have really messed with her. Why,
• 0:20
Speaker 2: it's the year 2077. You've been asleep the whole time. Oh, yeah.
• 0:24
Speaker 1: I don't think that would be smart.
• 0:26
  Speaker 2: She's awake. She's confused.
• 0:27
Speaker 1: She's pretty angry about what happened. She's also dealing with
• 0:29
Speaker 1: some really serious medical problems, including a blood clot, pneumonia,
• 0:33
Speaker 1: not being able to move her hands or arms. Her
• 0:35
Speaker 1: lawyers are asking the governor to let her spend the
• 0:38
Speaker 1: rest of her life in prison instead of trying to
• 0:40
Speaker 1: execute her again. So now that's going to be unfolding.
• 0:43
Speaker 1: And they say they're going to probably have to make
• 0:45
Speaker 1: a decision about that rather quickly. Now, the whole hashtag
• 0:49
Speaker 1: I am Jane Doe movement that started with a Cornell
• 0:51
Speaker 1: student accusing a fraternity member, seven of them, of sexual assault.
• 0:55
Speaker 1: And now the university is facing some pretty serious questions
• 0:59
Speaker 1: about how they handled everything. Hundreds of students have been
• 1:02
Speaker 1: protesting and Cornell has now brought in Sally Yates, who
• 1:05
Speaker 1: used to be the second highest ranking official at the
• 1:07
Speaker 1: Justice Department, to investigate how they handle sexual misconduct complaints.
• 1:12
Speaker 1: So far, no criminal charges have been filed. It's like
• 1:16
Speaker 1: probably need to continue the hashtag justice for Jane Doe.
• 1:20
Speaker 1: to get some answers there. Now imagine telling your kids
• 1:23
Speaker 1: they can literally invent their own video game and all
• 1:26
Speaker 1: you have to do is describe what you want it
• 1:29
Speaker 1: to be. Google just launched something called Playground where you
• 1:32
Speaker 1: can tell AI what the characters look like, what happens
• 1:35
Speaker 1: in the game, and even make up your own rules
• 1:37
Speaker 1: and it will actually create a video game you can play.
• 1:40
  Speaker 2: That's cool.
• 1:41
  Speaker 1: I know.
• 1:42
  Speaker 2: I love that.
• 1:42
Speaker 1: You can send the video game to your friends as well.
• 1:44
Speaker 1: They can play it. It's free for adults in the
• 1:46
Speaker 1: United States so Basically, parents can now help your kids
• 1:49
Speaker 1: create a video game they've always dreamed of and probably
• 1:52
Speaker 1: make money off of it eventually too.
• 1:54
Speaker 2: I think Google might take a cut.
• 1:56
Speaker 1: Did you guys see a crazy green flash in the
• 1:59
Speaker 1: sky early Tuesday morning? No.
• 2:01
Speaker 2: Is that the thing?
• 2:02
Speaker 1: It's been going viral online. Apparently people around the Scottsdale
• 2:07
Speaker 1: area spotted what looked like a meteor shooting across the sky.
• 2:10
Speaker 1: Somebody's doorbell camera actually got the whole thing. And now
• 2:13
Speaker 1: the video is going viral because everyone, of course, thinks
• 2:16
Speaker 1: it could be something from another world.
• 2:18
Speaker 2: Because it's falling down. If it's the one I saw,
• 2:21
Speaker 2: it's like falling nicely. Like it's not like... Like almost landing?
• 2:24
  Speaker 1: Yeah.
• 2:26
Speaker 2: I didn't know there was a doorbell camera. That makes
• 2:29
Speaker 2: an even cooler story. I've seen one of those meteors
• 2:31
Speaker 2: go into work and it lights up the whole sky
• 2:33
Speaker 2: like it's daytime. And it does make you think, okay,
• 2:35
Speaker 2: now we're being invaded. But then you realize it's just
• 2:37
  Speaker 2: a meteor. Yeah.
• 2:38
Speaker 1: Now, we may not be hosting any Olympic events here
• 2:42
Speaker 1: in Phoenix or anywhere in Arizona. We could still get
• 2:46
Speaker 1: a pretty cool piece of the 2028 summer game. So
• 2:49
Speaker 1: city council just approved an agreement to bring the Olympic
• 2:52
Speaker 1: torch relay through Phoenix, complete with a cauldron lighting celebration
• 2:57
Speaker 1: that we don't know exactly where or when that's going
• 2:59
Speaker 1: to happen yet, but we're going to have the Olympics here.
• 3:02
Speaker 2: Like that is so cool.
• 3:04
Speaker 1: And that's what you need to know.
