- Lucas: Hej, allihopa! Välkommen tillbaka to Learn Swedish with Fexingo. I'm Lucas. Luna: And I'm Luna! Episode 30, can you believe it? Lucas: I know. We've come a long way since episode one. Remember when we just learned 'Hej'? Luna: Oh, for sure. Now I can say 'God morgon' and even count to five. But today... what are we tackling? Lucas: Today, we're going to learn how to order coffee. Perfect for fika, right? Luna: Ooh, yes! I love fika. Last time we learned 'kaffe' and 'en bulle'. But how do I actually order? Lucas: Exactly. So the first phrase you need is: 'Jag skulle vilja ha en kaffe.' That means 'I would like a coffee.' Luna: Jag skulle vilja ha en kaffe. That's a mouthful. Lucas: Let's break it down. 'Jag' means 'I'. 'Skulle vilja ha' is like 'would like to have'. And 'en kaffe' is 'a coffee'. Luna: So 'Jag skulle vilja ha en kaffe'. Got it. Can I try? Lucas: Please do. Luna: Jag skulle vilja ha en kaffe. Lucas: That was great! Clear and confident. Luna: Thanks! But what if I want milk in my coffee? Like last episode's 'kaffe med mjölk'. Lucas: Good memory. So you say: 'En kaffe med mjölk, tack.' That's 'A coffee with milk, please.' Luna: En kaffe med mjölk, tack. So I add 'med mjölk'. Lucas: Exactly. 'Med' means 'with'. So 'En kaffe med mjölk, tack.' Luna: En kaffe med mjölk, tack. That sounds so smooth. Lucas: It does. Now, let's say you also want a cinnamon bun. 'Kan jag få en kanelbulle?' means 'Can I have a cinnamon bun?' Luna: Kan jag få en kanelbulle? 'Kan jag få' is 'Can I have'? Lucas: Yes. 'Kan' is 'can', 'jag' is 'I', 'få' is 'have' or 'get'. So 'Kan jag få en kanelbulle?' Luna: Kan jag få en kanelbulle. Perfect. I love kanelbullar. Lucas: Right. So once you've ordered, the barista might say 'Varsågod' which means 'Here you go' or 'You're welcome'. Luna: Varsågod. That's nice. And then I say 'Tack så mycket' which we already know – 'Thank you very much'. Lucas: Exactly. So let's put it all together in a little scene. Imagine you walk into a café. Luna: Okay, I'm ready. Lucas: You say: 'Hej! And the barista says 'Varsågod' and I say... Lucas: Tack så mycket. Luna: Tack så mycket. Perfect. I feel like I could actually do this. Lucas: You definitely could. Let's review all the new phrases one more time. Luna: Yes, please. Lucas: First: 'Jag skulle vilja ha en kaffe.' Luna: Jag skulle vilja ha en kaffe. Lucas: Second: 'En kaffe med mjölk, tack.' Luna: En kaffe med mjölk, tack. Lucas: Third: 'Kan jag få en kanelbulle?' Luna: Kan jag få en kanelbulle? Lucas: Fourth: 'Varsågod.' Luna: Varsågod. Lucas: And fifth: 'Tack så mycket.' Lucas: Great job today, Luna. You're ready for fika. Luna: Thanks, Lucas! I'm actually craving a kanelbulle now. Lucas: Same here. So listeners, practice these phrases. Next time you're at a café, try ordering in Swedish. Tack för idag, and see you next time on Learn Swedish with Fexingo. Luna: Hej då!
