- 0:00Heavenly Father, there is something I keep trying
- 0:03to hold together with my thoughts. I return to
- 0:07it while I work, while I eat, and when the room
- 0:12becomes quiet. I imagine conversations that have
- 0:17not happened. I search for answers. I cannot
- 0:20yet. Have I tell myself that if I worry carefully
- 0:25enough, perhaps I can prevent the thing I fear.
- 0:31Lord, I am tired. Help me place this concern
- 0:35before you. You know its name. You know the people
- 0:40involved, the circumstances surrounding it, and
- 0:44the reason it matters so, so deeply to me. I
- 0:49do not need to explain it perfectly to be heard.
- 0:53Today, help me recognize what is within my responsibility
- 0:58and what is beyond my control. Give me courage
- 1:02to act where I can make a difference and patience.
- 1:07when the next step belongs to someone else. If
- 1:11there is a task I have neglected, help me face
- 1:14it. If there is a question I need to ask, give
- 1:18me clear words. If I have done what I reasonably
- 1:22can, help me stop treating rest as a failure.
- 1:29Father, I bring you the people I love. Their
- 1:34struggles can feel like my own. I want to protect
- 1:37them, guide them, and keep them from every painful
- 1:42mistake. Teach me to care, without trying to
- 1:47direct every part of their lives. Help me listen
- 1:51before offering advice. Help me ask for support
- 1:54they need, instead of assuming I'll already know.
- 2:03Give me wisdom about when to speak, when to remain
- 2:06present, and when to seek help beyond what I
- 2:09can offer. Keep my love patient and honest. Lord,
- 2:18I also bring you the opinions I cannot manage.
- 2:23Someone may misunderstand me. Disagree with me
- 2:27Remain disappointed Even after An honest conversation
- 2:33Where I've caused harm Help me take responsibility
- 2:37Where I've spoken truthfully And acted with care
- 2:43Help me release the endless efforts To secure
- 2:46Everyone's approval Let my attention to turn
- 2:52To how I live Jesus When an uncertain future
- 2:57fills my imagination Help me notice the present
- 3:01moment There's a place beneath my feet There
- 3:06is a breath. There may be a person beside me
- 3:13who needs my attention. Bring me back to the
- 3:17life happening here. Help me prepare thoughtfully
- 3:22for tomorrow without spending today inside a
- 3:27possible disaster. Give me the discipline to
- 3:31make a reasonable plan and the flexibility to
- 3:36adjust it when circumstances change. Father,
- 3:42I place my work and practical needs before you.
- 3:46Some answers depend on applications. as decisions
- 3:51or opportunities that take time. While I wait,
- 3:58guide me toward useful action. Help me keep records,
- 4:03follow up when appropriate, and consider alternatives.
- 4:08Lead me toward reliable information and trustworthy
- 4:12people. When I receive disappointing news, give
- 4:16me space to acknowledge. Lord, I confess, sometimes
- 4:27I confuse control with safety. I believe I'll
- 4:33feel secure. only when every detail follows my
- 4:36plan. Teach me how to live with uncertainty,
- 4:42meaning thoughtful and responsible except assistance.
- 4:49Give me humility, whose experience is different
- 4:55from mine. Remind me that asking for support
- 4:59can be a wise and faithful step. For the person
- 5:05praying with me, who is waiting for news, bring
- 5:09comfort and companion. For the person worried
- 5:13about someone far away, help them find a meaningful
- 5:17way, stay connected. For a person carrying a
- 5:24responsibility that has gone too heavy, Lead
- 5:29them toward Bracletal. Make us attentive to each
- 5:33other. Let's share burdens through meals, conversations,
- 5:39transport, and dependable acts of kind. Father,
- 5:46if this worry returns after I finish with Brayne,
- 5:51help me reach him. I can acknowledge the thought
- 5:53without beginning a whole argument again. I can
- 5:58ask whether there is something useful to do now.
- 6:06If there is not, help me return to the task of
- 6:11the rest before me. I can bring the same concern
- 6:15to you more than once. Thank you for hearing
- 6:20me with patience. Thank you for the people who
- 6:24have helped me through uncertain seasons, and
- 6:29who have studied me wisely. Today, I release
- 6:35the demand to know every outcome. I release the
- 6:39habit of rehearsing. I know the person's decisions.
- 6:44I release the belief that comes with some worry.
- 6:49I place my concern in your hands, alongside my
- 7:08hopes.
