Let's break it down: 機 is 'machine' or 'plane', 票 is 'ticket'. Together, 機票. Luna: 機票. So when I'm at the counter, I might say '我有機票'. Lucas: Exactly. Next up: 護照. Luna: 護照. That's 'passport'. Lucas: Right. 護 means 'protect', 照 means 'shine' or 'certificate'. So 護照. Luna: 護照. I always need to bring my 護照. Lucas: And then after check-in, you get your 登機證. Luna: 登機證. That's 'boarding pass'. Lucas: Yes. 登 means 'board', 機 is 'plane', 證 is 'certificate'. So 登機證. Luna: 登機證. Can I practice saying all three? Lucas: Sure. Luna: 機票, 護照, 登機證. Lucas: Perfect! Now, let's say you're at the airport and you need to find something. A useful phrase: 請問...喺邊度. Luna: 請問...喺邊度. That's 'Excuse me, where is...'. Lucas: Exactly. So you can fill in the blank. For example, 請問洗手間喺邊度? Luna: Where is the restroom. Good one. What about the gate? Lucas: For that, you might ask: 我哋要去邊個閘口? Luna: 我哋要去邊個閘口. That means 'Which gate do we need to go to?'. Lucas: Right. 閘口 is 'gate'. So 邊個閘口 means 'which gate'. Luna: Let me try: 請問我哋要去邊個閘口? Lucas: Perfect. Now imagine you're at the airport with a friend. You have your 機票, 護照, and 登機證.
