- 0:17Speaker 3: Oh, get out your mad Barstard's great to have your
- 0:19Speaker 3: company on this glorious Tuesday afternoon. It is the tenth
- 0:23Speaker 3: of February twenty twenty six, and you, your mad Barsards,

- 0:26Speaker 4: Brought to you by Rebig Gear Beef, Chicken, vegan and
- 0:30Speaker 4: vegetarian options, Reburger of redefining the norm.
- 0:36Speaker 3: Yeah, great stuff, Mogiu. Is this a step back to
- 0:41Speaker 3: your old self? Clothing wise? You wearing a tidy whitey there?
- 0:44Speaker 3: Or is that a special kind of tidy? Is it
- 0:46Speaker 3: a new bit of fabric tidy whitey?
- 0:49Speaker 2: Good? Your mad dog, You're six cent of the big
- 0:51Speaker 2: I'm pretty gross. Thanks very much. Man. It's a little
- 0:54Speaker 2: it's a slightly different tea in the fact that it's
- 0:56Speaker 2: a v neck Jason, Oh, yes, it is so one
- 0:58Speaker 2: of most traditional scoop neckt now fellas, I had some
- 1:02Speaker 2: head shots done recently, got some announcements coming up shortly.
- 1:06Speaker 2: You had the head shots done, showed my missus and
- 1:08Speaker 2: she's like I don't like the low neck with your
- 1:11Speaker 2: choker necklace, so it was good to know that after
- 1:17Speaker 2: and also been looking like that for the last five years,
- 1:20Speaker 2: so the whole time she's been thinking.
- 1:22Speaker 4: Not keen, Yeah, I'll fix that. Yeah, v NEX saw that.
- 1:27Speaker 4: Apparently she's loving me.
- 1:28Speaker 3: Sexy man, and I'm relieved to see, Keezy, you've gone
- 1:34Speaker 3: back to your old South. You're copping hardy Jay on
- 1:36Speaker 3: the fashion front there for a few days, but you're
- 1:39Speaker 3: back to the sort of manky old T shirt.
- 1:41Speaker 2: How are you going? You're stallion.
- 1:44Speaker 4: I look like I look terrible today.
- 1:46Speaker 2: You do.
- 1:46Speaker 4: I'm unshaven, I've got a head on.
- 1:49Speaker 2: I'm just wanting another Hat's cool because you've got you
- 1:52Speaker 2: got your When you put your head on backwards like that,
- 1:54Speaker 2: you pushes that fringe down your forehead a little bit,
- 1:56Speaker 2: and I like that.
- 1:57Speaker 4: I think it looks really cool.
- 1:58Speaker 2: But that looks like my T shirts where they've sort
- 2:01Speaker 2: of been in a crumpled pile and you're sort of
- 2:03Speaker 2: raced out the door.
- 2:06Speaker 4: This year, I grabbed it out of the old washing
- 2:07Speaker 4: basket there, checked it on. It's covered in holes, Yeskezy,
- 2:11Speaker 4: And the truth is, I'm ashamed.
- 2:12Speaker 2: Of how I look jas that'd be ashamed, man, No
- 2:14Speaker 2: I am.
- 2:15Speaker 4: I'm ashamed of how I look, and I wish i'd
- 2:16Speaker 4: put on a button up shirts. I could look more
- 2:18Speaker 4: like you, but I just didn't have time today. I
- 2:20Speaker 4: was too busy.
- 2:20Speaker 2: Fair enough.
- 2:21Speaker 3: What people should know is that Kezy on that front,
- 2:24Speaker 3: is usually very very good. Like the Ironers T shirts,
- 2:27Speaker 3: his undis is very particular about the way he looks,
- 2:31Speaker 3: and so I like the fact that you went to
- 2:33Speaker 3: hell with it.
- 2:34Speaker 2: I'm just going to look like a piece of shit today.
- 2:36Speaker 2: I've got a question for you, and you as well, Jason.
- 2:39Speaker 2: Probably we should be talking about this later in the show.
- 2:41Speaker 2: But when you've got holes in your T shirt, you know,
- 2:44Speaker 2: as a you know, I'm almost fifty, Jace, we're not
- 2:47Speaker 2: sure about Kezy. You're in your mediarly red thirties there.
- 2:50Speaker 2: Should we just be throwing those T shirts? Actually just decided,
- 2:53Speaker 2: look as a man, should I mean not just throwing
- 2:56Speaker 2: these in the bin.
- 2:57Speaker 4: So yes, unless it's like a kind of an old
- 3:01Speaker 4: rich are we looking shit like this one?
- 3:02Speaker 2: Is?
- 3:03Speaker 4: I think it just kind of adds the flavor, right.
- 3:05Speaker 3: Yeah, sure, I only throw the holes out if they're
- 3:08Speaker 3: over my nepples right, it's just down the side.
- 3:11Speaker 2: I bet you know. Don't worry about it.
- 3:13Speaker 3: On that front. My boat shirt wrapped. I told you
- 3:16Speaker 3: about that. I'm gutted. It's not repairable. According to my
- 3:19Speaker 3: wife it's not.
- 3:20Speaker 4: Yeah no, she wants to see the back of it.
- 3:22Speaker 4: I hey, Mogi, what's happening on the Big Show with
- 3:28Speaker 4: old mogis.
- 3:30Speaker 2: Well, it's a return of an old favorite today, fellas
- 3:33Speaker 2: Charlie Gubb. Oh yeah, boy returns to the airwaves for
- 3:36Speaker 2: the first time in twenty twenty six. Very much looking
- 3:39Speaker 2: forward to talking to him off the back of the
- 3:43Speaker 2: chat yesterday where the kids have gone back to school.
- 3:46Speaker 2: Today we'll be discussing and finalizing a top ten for
- 3:50Speaker 2: the greatest lunch box snacks in history in history, So
- 3:55Speaker 2: we are going to need a contribution from you, the
- 3:57Speaker 2: audience on three four eighty three and give us a
- 3:59Speaker 2: call on Hodeki and don't forget we're running the.
- 4:02Speaker 4: Bar tap keezer.
- 4:04Speaker 2: You like that, one man, certainly, do hold out for
- 4:07Speaker 2: the queue to call and you could be on a
- 4:09Speaker 2: chance to win one hundred dollars in cash, cash, cash
- 4:11Speaker 2: and a meat pack that is full of lemmy goodness.
- 4:15Speaker 4: So good Man.
- 4:15Speaker 2: In the meantime, he's Tenacious.
- 4:17Speaker 1: Dean the Hdarchy Big Show weekdays from four on Radio
- 4:23Speaker 1: Hodarky Radio Head.
- 4:24Speaker 3: There on the Radio Hodarchy Big Show this Tuesday afternoon.
- 4:27Speaker 3: The time is fourteen minutes past four o'clock. Hold on
- 4:30Speaker 3: the heels of our chat yesterday about kids returning to school,
- 4:33Speaker 3: we realize, actually, after we've been chatting about that, didn't
- 4:37Speaker 3: we feel us about the old school lunch chat?
- 4:41Speaker 2: You know? And one of the great joys.
- 4:42Speaker 3: For me when the kids were home from school was
- 4:45Speaker 3: it we didn't actually have to make school lunches. Yes,
- 4:47Speaker 3: you know what I mean, because it is when you're
- 4:49Speaker 3: making school lunches for four kids, it is an absolute
- 4:53Speaker 3: ball ache. But it got us onto chet about what
- 4:57Speaker 3: we used to have for school lunches.
- 4:58Speaker 4: Yeah, that's right.
- 4:59Speaker 2: And on the same one of the biggest the worst
- 5:01Speaker 2: thing is that you have to spend time making lunch
- 5:05Speaker 2: for your kid, which you know, you sort of understand
- 5:09Speaker 2: that's going to be part of the job when you
- 5:10Speaker 2: have a kid. But what you don't sort of realize
- 5:12Speaker 2: is that without a word of a light, ninety five
- 5:15Speaker 2: percent of the time it will come home untouched.
- 5:17Speaker 4: Yes, so you.
- 5:20Speaker 2: Put it in the lunch box, You put it in
- 5:22Speaker 2: the bag, it goes to school, it comes home from school,
- 5:26Speaker 2: it goes on the bench, You throw it in the bin,
- 5:28Speaker 2: you wash the lunch box, you start again.
- 5:30Speaker 4: It's complete bullshit.
- 5:32Speaker 2: Yes it is. It's infuriating. But then they got us thinking, well,
- 5:35Speaker 2: I was exactly the same when I was a kid,
- 5:37Speaker 2: And so what was it that you had in your
- 5:39Speaker 2: lunch box when you were a kid that just stayed
- 5:41Speaker 2: in there and riding. My mum used to tell me
- 5:43Speaker 2: if I didn't eat my lunch I get rapped because
- 5:44Speaker 2: I just leave my lunch box in there.
- 5:46Speaker 4: Yes, never ate it. Because what we could do is
- 5:48Speaker 4: if we did get like a top ten list of
- 5:50Speaker 4: the best stuff to put in a lunch box. Yes,
- 5:52Speaker 4: if that stuff was, then what you started putting in
- 5:54Speaker 4: your daughter, Moggie Minogi's lunch box, it'll probably come home
- 5:58Speaker 4: empty every day.
- 5:58Speaker 2: Well. The things that I really that I would love
- 6:01Speaker 2: to have in my lunchbox as a kid, I absolutely love.
- 6:04Speaker 2: I would never give my own child. Well, this is
- 6:08Speaker 2: this is the conundrum, isn't it.
- 6:09Speaker 3: Because you know I used to watch ads and they'd
- 6:11Speaker 3: be talking about making school lunches and they'd be these
- 6:14Speaker 3: ridiculously healthy things at that pack and I look all
- 6:17Speaker 3: very good and well, but the reality is the kids
- 6:20Speaker 3: wouldn't need it.
- 6:21Speaker 2: No, you know what I mean.
- 6:22Speaker 3: They want they want rubbish, yes, they want crap, yes,
- 6:26Speaker 3: and then they'll hoe into it.
- 6:27Speaker 4: Case to some of my favorite things failers. When I
- 6:30Speaker 4: was at school, there ice animals. Oh, yes, I animals
- 6:36Speaker 4: is a.
- 6:36Speaker 2: Good one, keys, And I saw on fear Go once.
- 6:38Speaker 2: So there's an elderly woman that wrote a letter into
- 6:40Speaker 2: fear Go and complained there wasn't they weren't putting as
- 6:44Speaker 2: much ice on the ice animals as they used to,
- 6:46Speaker 2: and they did a story about it. Yes, I mean
- 6:48Speaker 2: that's a good story.
- 6:49Speaker 4: So ice animals.
- 6:50Speaker 2: God, you guys must have been rich.
- 6:52Speaker 4: For having iceed animals. Yeah, Man, to be honest, Jase,
- 6:54Speaker 4: I mean maybe, I'm not sure because I also had
- 6:57Speaker 4: dunk a ruse.
- 6:58Speaker 2: Dunk a Ruse. Now that was after me. I have dunkers.
- 7:01Speaker 2: But what what I had when I was at school
- 7:04Speaker 2: was the snack.
- 7:06Speaker 3: Yeah, that was very a pretty standy one in my
- 7:11Speaker 3: lunch box, the old luncheon sausage sandwich with a squirt
- 7:14Speaker 3: of sauce.
- 7:16Speaker 2: Did you have any butter on there. Yeah, there was
- 7:18Speaker 2: butter on. Yeah, always too much butter moogi.
- 7:21Speaker 4: Yeah, sometimes you had to wipe.
- 7:22Speaker 2: It was it was just too much butter action going on.
- 7:26Speaker 2: There was another one, the Selly Lun. Yes, it was
- 7:31Speaker 2: a coconut ice sort of icing on the biggest piece
- 7:34Speaker 2: of bread known to men. So what you do is
- 7:38Speaker 2: you eat all the icing off it and then you
- 7:39Speaker 2: chuck the butt and the rubbish. Yeah pretty much.
- 7:41Speaker 3: Now can I just ask re the Selly Lun it
- 7:45Speaker 3: didn't have the odd rogue raisin and it didn't it did,
- 7:48Speaker 3: did it?
- 7:49Speaker 2: Yes?
- 7:51Speaker 5: Yeah?
- 7:52Speaker 2: Speaking of raisins, sun what was that? Sun casts suns
- 7:56Speaker 2: sun may those little boxes of raisins that you eat
- 7:59Speaker 2: them in two is into a whistle whistle?
- 8:01Speaker 4: Yeah, yeah, Yeah.
- 8:04Speaker 2: It was cool being young, wasn't it.
- 8:06Speaker 4: Why because you ate raisins?
- 8:07Speaker 3: Well, no, because then then you tune it into a whistle.
- 8:12Speaker 2: Yeah, just innocent.
- 8:14Speaker 4: One other thing was my mum used to get us
- 8:17Speaker 4: the packs of the multi packs of chips, and so
- 8:19Speaker 4: we'd have a big bag of chips. It would be
- 8:21Speaker 4: six like ration six twisties.
- 8:24Speaker 3: And massively rich. That was actually a bit that was
- 8:28Speaker 3: a bit after my time.
- 8:30Speaker 2: Keezy a bit.
- 8:32Speaker 3: I would if I was being really spoiled, could get
- 8:35Speaker 3: a packet of chicken chips, right, but not the little
- 8:38Speaker 3: miniature ones where you get it that was five chips
- 8:40Speaker 3: in it, but a proper packe.
- 8:42Speaker 4: It was those little miniature ones there, and we'd always
- 8:43Speaker 4: eat the saltan vinegar, and we'd eat the chicken and
- 8:45Speaker 4: then there'd just be a whold of really salt.
- 8:47Speaker 2: I've got one here. This is absolutely going in the
- 8:50Speaker 2: top ten. Three four eight three. This text has come in.
- 8:54Speaker 4: What about the old roll ups?
- 8:56Speaker 2: A roller? The rollup is absolutely and the every bastard
- 9:01Speaker 2: was hanging off those.
- 9:02Speaker 4: I wasn't allowed them. Bad for your teeth, Kase, Yeah,
- 9:04Speaker 4: well we.
- 9:05Speaker 3: Were actually tod We thought that roll ups were really
- 9:07Speaker 3: healthy when we were giving them to the kids because
- 9:09Speaker 3: it was.
- 9:09Speaker 2: One of those things because it was fruit.
- 9:11Speaker 3: Yeah, of course it's about fifty tablespoons of sugar in
- 9:15Speaker 3: the bastards.
- 9:16Speaker 4: Three four eight three send through what are the you know,
- 9:19Speaker 4: one of the top ten items that go in school lunches,
- 9:21Speaker 4: especially from when you were at school. Every text in
- 9:23Speaker 4: the draw for a fifty dollars reburger voucher we'll put
- 9:27Speaker 4: together at top ten and then your kids will never
- 9:29Speaker 4: bring home empty lunchboxes ever again.
- 9:31Speaker 2: How good He's coin to the Stone Age.
- 9:36Speaker 1: The hold Aching Big Show with Jason, Mike and Kyzy
- 9:39Speaker 1: tune in week days at four on Radio Hodakies.
- 9:42Speaker 3: Indeed, rage against the machine. There on the Radio Hodarki
- 9:45Speaker 3: Big Show this Tuesday afternoon. The time is for twenty
- 9:48Speaker 3: seven and we're trying to make up the top ten
- 9:50Speaker 3: list of school lunches.
- 9:52Speaker 4: It's right, your ten favorite foods from your school lunch box.
- 9:55Speaker 4: Keep the ticks coming on three four eight three heaps
- 9:57Speaker 4: of great stuff here a few minch for just a
- 10:01Speaker 4: packet of uncooked to minute noodles that you eat raw.
- 10:04Speaker 4: Did you guys ever have that?
- 10:06Speaker 3: Well, I don't think they are around when I went
- 10:08Speaker 3: to school. But no noodles, Yes, no, they weren't, not
- 10:12Speaker 3: like the instant noodles.
- 10:14Speaker 2: I think they're even a little bit further on for
- 10:15Speaker 2: me baby in high school, they'd sort of they'd come
- 10:18Speaker 2: out by that stage.
- 10:19Speaker 4: Yes, yeah, yeah, But the way you used to eat
- 10:20Speaker 4: them is you would I would break the bag up
- 10:24Speaker 4: before you smash it up, so it's not a big square,
- 10:27Speaker 4: and then pull the flavoring out, put that over it,
- 10:29Speaker 4: shake it up, and then eat it like chips. I would.
- 10:32Speaker 2: You've reminded me that I did used to do that,
- 10:35Speaker 2: but I didn't use the flavor, and I just eat them,
- 10:37Speaker 2: eat them without the flavor and just plain and then
- 10:39Speaker 2: snort the flavoring. God, that sounds disgusting.
- 10:42Speaker 4: If you think that's disgusting, you peer that with a
- 10:45Speaker 4: packet of RaRo cordial mix, yes, oh yes, yeah, and
- 10:49Speaker 4: just lick your finger and dip that in there.
- 10:52Speaker 2: We would just tip it into the pack it so
- 10:57Speaker 2: by the time you were done, you had an orange hand.
- 11:00Speaker 2: The flavor I went with was always sweet Naval orange.
- 11:04Speaker 4: Best flavor hands down.
- 11:05Speaker 3: Yeah, my god, this is bringing about so many memories
- 11:08Speaker 3: for me. You mentioned it a little bit, not while
- 11:11Speaker 3: we were chatting about it here, but maybe used to
- 11:13Speaker 3: the key bar, the cabar. I used to pretty much
- 11:16Speaker 3: have a ke bar in my bag all the time,
- 11:18Speaker 3: which I would make last forever.
- 11:20Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 11:20Speaker 3: I'd had a couple of sucks on it and then
- 11:23Speaker 3: I'd rewrap it and put it back in my bag.
- 11:25Speaker 4: Right, So that was like the vape of the six
- 11:29Speaker 4: pretty much.
- 11:30Speaker 2: Man, This is not a lie.
- 11:31Speaker 3: This is not a lie. I made one k bar
- 11:34Speaker 3: last for five days. Wow, just by sucking it slow.
- 11:38Speaker 4: Legend. Is there anyone out there that's made of k
- 11:39Speaker 4: bar last longer?
- 11:40Speaker 2: Yeah, that's true.
- 11:43Speaker 4: Jay's got the record. Greek from Auckland used to take
- 11:46Speaker 4: a tin of tuna and some crackers.
- 11:50Speaker 2: That's that's You had that and you came to school.
- 11:54Speaker 2: No one's swapping with.
- 11:55Speaker 4: You because it was all about swaps as well.
- 11:58Speaker 2: A lot of times. Yeah.
- 12:00Speaker 4: Can I get your opinion on Natella sandwiches? Na? We
- 12:06Speaker 4: never had that.
- 12:07Speaker 2: We didn't have that.
- 12:09Speaker 3: Someone also mentioned the little cubes of cheese cheesdale triangles,
- 12:16Speaker 3: and also the flat ones.
- 12:19Speaker 2: And the cheese slic You just take a slice of cheese.
- 12:24Speaker 2: I used to love those. Man fold them up, fold
- 12:26Speaker 2: them up, fold them up, fold them up, and then
- 12:28Speaker 2: just take little slices off.
- 12:32Speaker 4: What you guys would it is you take it out
- 12:34Speaker 4: and you sort of roll it up and then you
- 12:35Speaker 4: put tobacco in the middle of it. Put a little
- 12:38Speaker 4: filter in the end of one other thing, Did you
- 12:42Speaker 4: guys used to take the mini poddles of yogurt to school? Yes?
- 12:46Speaker 3: No, I used to give those to my girls, but
- 12:48Speaker 3: not me. No, that was way too lardy. In my
- 12:51Speaker 3: day now and then my brother would get them. I
- 12:53Speaker 3: didn't really like that, but it was I think they
- 12:55Speaker 3: were called chocolate Yum.
- 12:56Speaker 4: Kelcy Yum Calci you play it's French for yogurt came
- 13:03Speaker 4: in if you're really fancy.
- 13:04Speaker 2: Absolutely, and then there was also the Yogurt Sundays, which
- 13:08Speaker 2: had yogurt on top and yogurt on the bottom and
- 13:11Speaker 2: fruit on the top and it sort of had a
- 13:14Speaker 2: little stem on the bottom as well.
- 13:15Speaker 4: It was very lad.
- 13:17Speaker 3: There was also if I recall tubes of yogurt you squeeze.
- 13:23Speaker 2: Out that you squeezed out, Yeah, yeah.
- 13:25Speaker 4: Heart out three four eight three. Get the text coming
- 13:27Speaker 4: through and we will make the top ten list.
- 13:29Speaker 2: Also the Juicy Juice and Juicy which drove that frozen
- 13:35Speaker 2: icebox thinging.
- 13:36Speaker 4: Did you ever have Moosey's what's funny about Moosey? It's
- 13:40Speaker 4: the same but with milk. I don't know. It feels
- 13:42Speaker 4: like Moosey is a milk vision.
- 13:46Speaker 2: I remember, I remember it.
- 13:47Speaker 4: I suck it on Heaps and Moses in the Actually
- 13:50Speaker 4: that does sound.
- 13:52Speaker 1: The Hiking Big Show was Jake and tune in on.
- 13:57Speaker 3: Radio Pool Jam there on the Radio Darchy Big Show.
- 14:01Speaker 3: This Tuesday afternoon. The time is four thirty six. Hey Mogi,
- 14:05Speaker 3: what's the update on the sewage scenario and Old Wellington
- 14:08Speaker 3: at the moment?
- 14:08Speaker 2: God, what an absolutely horrible state of affairs for those
- 14:11Speaker 2: of that you don't know. And this is in my
- 14:12Speaker 2: old hood. So the sewage treatment plant down there in Wellington,
- 14:16Speaker 2: it's at Moa Point, which is where I lived. There's
- 14:19Speaker 2: only about twenty or thirty houses there, and you know,
- 14:21Speaker 2: probably understandable. They've had a full rejig. They've had a
- 14:25Speaker 2: full upgrade for the sewage treatment system plant down there,
- 14:29Speaker 2: and it completely failed, pumping give or take tens of
- 14:34Speaker 2: millions of liters of human feces into the ocean. Yeah,
- 14:40Speaker 2: some would regard that as an environmental disaster, but we
- 14:45Speaker 2: wanted to get an absolute expert on the line, and
- 14:48Speaker 2: there's none other better than Porter King's own Charlie Gub
- 14:53Speaker 2: to talk us through.
- 14:54Speaker 4: How's it going? You're mad dog?
- 14:56Speaker 5: So fella's been a while?
- 14:59Speaker 2: Sure, Ali, good? Good Christmas break made in New Years?
- 15:03Speaker 2: How are you going now?
- 15:04Speaker 5: I'm going good, mate. Sometimes it takes a good it's
- 15:07Speaker 5: not really a natural disaster, but environmental disaster to get
- 15:10Speaker 5: the gang back together.
- 15:14Speaker 4: Charlie. Of course you can't think about you know, Pooh's
- 15:16Speaker 4: and Wellington without thinking Charlie, Gub and Porter King. For
- 15:20Speaker 4: those of you that don't know Charlie former war warriors legend, Yes,
- 15:23Speaker 4: I would say, ye, Jase, how do.
- 15:26Speaker 5: You I always start by saying, to see you're not
- 15:31Speaker 5: not named anywhere in the Epstein pile.
- 15:37Speaker 4: That we know of you, Charlie. All right, So Charlie,
- 15:40Speaker 4: I mean you're our Wellington sewerage expert. You know, what's
- 15:44Speaker 4: your kind of take on this whole environmental disaster.
- 15:49Speaker 5: It's pretty it's pretty messed up in my opinion from
- 15:52Speaker 5: what what's happened. But what can you do? You can't
- 15:55Speaker 5: cry over it. You just got to get on but
- 15:57Speaker 5: keep fishing, keep swimming. It's not like it's bad, but
- 16:02Speaker 5: it's like not the end of the world, you know.
- 16:04Speaker 5: I think they should. People need to kind of hang
- 16:09Speaker 5: for it. But I don't know what can you do
- 16:12Speaker 5: well in.
- 16:12Speaker 2: Terms of the fishing that make quite good bally, wouldn't it.
- 16:16Speaker 5: Yeah, we just need and get a little buzz like
- 16:18Speaker 5: your microdocing.
- 16:19Speaker 4: Chum, Charie.
- 16:20Speaker 2: You were suggesting, Charlie that probably a good solution and
- 16:24Speaker 2: to take a little bit of a weight. Bit of
- 16:26Speaker 2: weight off the search system would be for every single
- 16:29Speaker 2: house in the Wellington region to have a Porter King
- 16:32Speaker 2: Porterloo parked up outside.
- 16:34Speaker 5: Yeah that's good man, and that's supporting local and that's
- 16:36Speaker 5: why all our listeners should be doing right, supporting local.
- 16:40Speaker 2: Totally, Charlie, totally.
- 16:41Speaker 4: Hey Charlie, well, we've got you on chatting Wellington booze. Man.
- 16:45Speaker 4: Wouldn't mind just touching on the old wars for this year? Man? Yeah, boy, no,
- 16:50Speaker 4: you are, Jason, you are, Charlie. What's the vibe for
- 16:52Speaker 4: this year from your point of view?
- 16:53Speaker 5: Men, I reckon the ViBe's good. The guys seem to
- 16:57Speaker 5: be on. It runs back from injury kind of in
- 17:00Speaker 5: rocco'berry for a while, but I think as long as
- 17:03Speaker 5: they can be injury free, which has been our R.
- 17:05Speaker 5: Kelly's heel, they're going to be on. I listened to
- 17:08Speaker 5: a podcast of Cameron George yesterday and he's just a
- 17:13Speaker 5: real lad. You know. He loves us, He loves smoking,
- 17:16Speaker 5: loves drugs, yep, loves the ggs. He just I think
- 17:20Speaker 5: I think they're all just having fun, which is what
- 17:22Speaker 5: you need to.
- 17:23Speaker 4: Do, right. So your vibe is that the season is
- 17:24Speaker 4: going to be good because the sort of club manager,
- 17:28Speaker 4: the CEO loves getting on and the ciggies.
- 17:33Speaker 5: Yeah, but that's hey, that's team culture, right. You don't
- 17:37Speaker 5: want to go to work every day and you know
- 17:39Speaker 5: you're walking on eggshells per Foreman's Oh you know, smoker
- 17:42Speaker 5: is only thirty minutes and calling it earlier. It's not
- 17:45Speaker 5: really what life's about.
- 17:46Speaker 4: You got to live it, true.
- 17:48Speaker 2: Man, are you are you a hard boss? Charlie? You
- 17:52Speaker 2: a hard man?
- 17:54Speaker 5: Nah? Nah?
- 17:57Speaker 4: How long?
- 17:57Speaker 5: Reasonable?
- 17:58Speaker 4: How long smoker at Porter king Men.
- 18:01Speaker 5: For me or the fellows for the fellas? H No,
- 18:08Speaker 5: I don't know, keep a pretty loose rain. I don't know.
- 18:12Speaker 5: I don't really want to give too much the way
- 18:14Speaker 5: I run things away.
- 18:15Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 18:17Speaker 2: The competitors your brother, well yeah, so, I mean it
- 18:20Speaker 2: is a pretty exciting time for the wise. A little
- 18:22Speaker 2: bit of a worry that we're not getting Lukie met
- 18:24Speaker 2: back until round seven to ten. But outside of the
- 18:27Speaker 2: fact that we've got no half backed ches will be
- 18:30Speaker 2: going good.
- 18:31Speaker 5: Yeah, I mean, but when he does come back, it'll
- 18:33Speaker 5: be good.
- 18:33Speaker 4: Right. Yeah.
- 18:35Speaker 2: Hey, Charlie, great to chat to you again. Man, We'll
- 18:38Speaker 2: catch up, so no doubt.
- 18:41Speaker 5: One little link up.
- 18:43Speaker 2: Yah know it?
- 18:43Speaker 4: Once again Charlie, former Warrior and runner of Porter King
- 18:47Speaker 4: down there in Wellington. If you've got poos in the
- 18:50Speaker 4: water near you get I.
- 18:51Speaker 3: Just had a little lingo wobbling around in my head
- 18:53Speaker 3: when the shit hits the fan.
- 18:55Speaker 2: Who you gonna call, Charlie Man? Do you like that?
- 18:59Speaker 5: Charlie? Yeah, that's good.
- 19:01Speaker 4: I love thanks Charlie, we see it.
- 19:06Speaker 1: Thanks made the Hurarchy Big Show weekdays from four on radios.
- 19:12Speaker 3: Indeed, mus there on the radio Hodarky Big Show this
- 19:16Speaker 3: Tuesday afternoon.
- 19:17Speaker 2: Let's talk TV.
- 19:20Speaker 3: What's on the Telly with Mike Minogue.
- 19:26Speaker 4: Fellers. I love TV? Same man? Do you know?
- 19:29Speaker 2: Do you know that about me? Man?
- 19:31Speaker 4: Yep?
- 19:31Speaker 2: Last night I was planning to watch Small Town Scandal, Yes,
- 19:37Speaker 2: the Tom Saints new Tom Sainsbury show based on his
- 19:40Speaker 2: podcast here it's on Neon. But me and the missus
- 19:43Speaker 2: got to chatting and so that was kind of the
- 19:45Speaker 2: end of it. But what I did do the night
- 19:47Speaker 2: before was I completed watching The Long Way Around the
- 19:51Speaker 2: You and McGregor, I'm on a motorbike going around the
- 19:53Speaker 2: world thing. What an incredible show. He's on a motibike
- 19:57Speaker 2: with us mate. He goes from London all the way
- 20:00Speaker 2: to New York, goes across all across Europe, so he
- 20:04Speaker 2: goes through Kazakhstan, Mongolia, Russia. It is one of the
- 20:08Speaker 2: great adventure stories of all time. It is absolutely unbelievable
- 20:13Speaker 2: what they go through, like they're meeting locals. The Russians
- 20:15Speaker 2: are going, I know, you absolutely can't go They would
- 20:19Speaker 2: never go there in a million years trying to do
- 20:21Speaker 2: what these guys are there. I know you've got no
- 20:24Speaker 2: chance of getting there. The road that they had to
- 20:27Speaker 2: go on was called the Road of Bones, the bone Road, yeah,
- 20:33Speaker 2: something like that, and it was made during the Second
- 20:36Speaker 2: World War, and from memory, it was Stalin forcing all
- 20:41Speaker 2: the political prisoners to go up there and build this
- 20:44Speaker 2: road that went up into Siberia because in Siberia they
- 20:47Speaker 2: had all of these minerals and oil and all of
- 20:50Speaker 2: the stuff that they needed. So they put political prisoners
- 20:52Speaker 2: who were political prisoners because they were deemed to be
- 20:55Speaker 2: too intelligent.
- 20:56Speaker 4: Yes, which is always what happens.
- 20:58Speaker 2: So they sent all these guys up there, and it
- 21:00Speaker 2: was called the Road of Bones because hundreds of thousands
- 21:03Speaker 2: of people that were building the road died making it,
- 21:06Speaker 2: and they didn't have to make it a prison because
- 21:09Speaker 2: the environment was at prison. You just got to live there.
- 21:12Speaker 2: If you want to run for it, be our guest.
- 21:15Speaker 2: But at least you get a little bit of food here,
- 21:17Speaker 2: and you're not going to get eat and by beers.
- 21:18Speaker 2: It is an amazing show. The last episode is a
- 21:20Speaker 2: bit boring because they're in civilization in the States. I
- 21:23Speaker 2: can't really recommend it highly enough. Apple five stars, get
- 21:28Speaker 2: into it. Great buzzies are ten busies. Wow, five stars.
- 21:34Speaker 3: I watched a documentary last night. Well my wife chose
- 21:38Speaker 3: it and I started watching this and I said, what
- 21:39Speaker 3: the hell is this? And it's called Queen of Chess
- 21:44Speaker 3: and it's the story of Judith Polger, who was the
- 21:47Speaker 3: youngest ever chess master. She became a chess master at
- 21:51Speaker 3: the age of fifteen.
- 21:52Speaker 4: Is that what the show Queen's Game?
- 21:53Speaker 3: But I think it is based on that, and it's
- 21:56Speaker 3: a documentary about her. It's actually a fascinate story her
- 22:02Speaker 3: and her two sisters. Their dad was a bit of
- 22:04Speaker 3: a chess genius and he made them play chess nine
- 22:08Speaker 3: to five, seven days a week, and just going through everything,
- 22:12Speaker 3: every move and was amazing documentary actually, And what was
- 22:17Speaker 3: fascinating about it because men was considered a chess was
- 22:21Speaker 3: considered a man's game, and women weren't very capable, you know, I.
- 22:24Speaker 2: Didn't have the intelligence to play.
- 22:27Speaker 3: And the sexism at the time was extraordinary, like men
- 22:31Speaker 3: were just coming out and going, no, women aren't intelligent
- 22:34Speaker 3: enough to compete at the level of men.
- 22:36Speaker 2: You're saying off here in one of you of the
- 22:38Speaker 2: good old days.
- 22:40Speaker 3: But it's this really cool documentary about her getting into
- 22:44Speaker 3: you know, all the massive tournaments and the guy who
- 22:46Speaker 3: was the chess genius at the time, Casparov.
- 22:49Speaker 4: He's the most famous one.
- 22:50Speaker 3: He was the most famous, and he was also they
- 22:53Speaker 3: say the greatest of all time. And she played him
- 22:58Speaker 3: for the first time and he cheated and it was
- 23:01Speaker 3: caught on camera and she was just this young woman
- 23:05Speaker 3: playing the greatest player of all time. And there's a
- 23:08Speaker 3: thing in chess when you play a chess piece and
- 23:10Speaker 3: you take your hand off the piece that's done, that's smooth.
- 23:14Speaker 3: And he did that, and he stuffed it up and
- 23:16Speaker 3: took his hand off and realized what he'd done and
- 23:19Speaker 3: went back and changed it.
- 23:22Speaker 2: And she saw it, but no one else did, and
- 23:24Speaker 2: so she was like, hang about it.
- 23:26Speaker 3: What do I because normally people are watching the game
- 23:30Speaker 3: and they weren't watching. Then they discovered that one of
- 23:34Speaker 3: the cameras was left on and they showed that he
- 23:36Speaker 3: did actually cheat. It was a split second thing, but anyway,
- 23:40Speaker 3: they became quite good friends. In the end, he beat
- 23:44Speaker 3: her every time apart from once, and it was a
- 23:49Speaker 3: really it's a really interesting, fascinating documentary. I'll give at
- 23:52Speaker 3: three point nine buzzies. It's on Netflix, right, what's it
- 23:56Speaker 3: called again, Queen of Chess?
- 23:57Speaker 4: Queen of Chess? And am I right saying you've just
- 24:00Speaker 4: told us the entire plot, so you don't need to
- 24:01Speaker 4: watch it.
- 24:04Speaker 2: Spot on. You've nailed that. I give that that insight
- 24:09Speaker 2: from you. I give that five buzzies out of a
- 24:11Speaker 2: possible five.
- 24:12Speaker 4: Just I'm genuinely curious. How is that the entire plot
- 24:14Speaker 4: where you've just said, No, there's.
- 24:15Speaker 3: Other stuff that goes on, really all her early life
- 24:18Speaker 3: and then her getting married, all that sort of stuff.
- 24:23Speaker 4: But this is the chick, you know, chick, Hey, you
- 24:26Speaker 4: coming up after five, By the way, your chance to
- 24:27Speaker 4: win one hundred bucks cash and a meat pack. List
- 24:29Speaker 4: now for that cud call, Get ready to call eight
- 24:31Speaker 4: hundred Holdech.
- 24:34Speaker 1: The Wold Aching Big Show with Jon, Mike and Kyzy.
- 24:37Speaker 1: Tune in week days at four on Radio.
- 24:40Speaker 2: Holdache, you come back your massive back line.
- 24:41Speaker 3: Hope you're getting through your Tuesday afternoon tickety boo.
- 24:44Speaker 2: You're listening to the Big Show, brought to you by Rebier.
- 24:47Speaker 4: Year, Crave Worthy street Food freshly made with rebig Year.
- 24:53Speaker 4: It's do you know anyone, fellas? Do you want to
- 25:05Speaker 4: hear it again?
- 25:05Speaker 2: Yes?
- 25:06Speaker 4: Yes, please, that's good.
- 25:13Speaker 6: I know that.
- 25:13Speaker 4: But at the end, there's like a couple of swords
- 25:15Speaker 4: game ping. I love it.
- 25:18Speaker 2: It's very game boy, it's very it's very it's very gamy.
- 25:26Speaker 2: Well like a video doo doo doo do when you're
- 25:30Speaker 2: in your little gaming lounge.
- 25:31Speaker 4: Do you know what it's like? It's like Mortal Kombat,
- 25:34Speaker 4: actually combat. It feels more like Doom to me, does it.
- 25:44Speaker 4: I don't get that at all. I just think that
- 25:45Speaker 4: sounds awesome. Cool. Sure you don't get gaming. I didn't.
- 25:49Speaker 3: I didn't say that it didn't sound awesome. I just
- 25:51Speaker 3: said it sounds like you know something. You're doing your
- 25:54Speaker 3: douche douche games.
- 25:57Speaker 4: You find new ways to describe playing video game. They
- 26:00Speaker 4: make no sense. Douche douche you know, do do do?
- 26:05Speaker 2: Bring up the magic wand oh no, I've lost Killy's strength.
- 26:10Speaker 2: Do do doo doo.
- 26:12Speaker 4: That actually does sound like a great game. I've been
- 26:17Speaker 4: playing that exact game.
- 26:19Speaker 2: Can you make up a stone gaming chat with what he?
- 26:22Speaker 4: And that is all you need?
- 26:26Speaker 3: Now listen, fellas, coming up your chance to win a
- 26:29Speaker 3: bit of meat and some pash.
- 26:33Speaker 4: You get ready to call. You're a salesman man, so
- 26:38Speaker 4: good his chilies.
- 26:40Speaker 1: The Hdarchy Big Show was Jason, Mike and Kyzy tune
- 26:43Speaker 1: in four radio.
- 26:46Speaker 3: She had there on the radio Darchy Big Show this
- 26:49Speaker 3: Tuesday afternoon. The time is five thirteen now, Fellas, I
- 26:53Speaker 3: think it's fair to say I've had a varied and
- 26:56Speaker 3: interesting career.
- 26:59Speaker 4: Sure.
- 27:00Speaker 2: I mean I've done some shocking garbage, some shocking garbage
- 27:04Speaker 2: in my time. I've done some quality stuff too, on
- 27:07Speaker 2: occasion stuff, middle of the road.
- 27:10Speaker 3: And you know, I've been an actor, a voice artiste,
- 27:14Speaker 3: a theater go a well not a theater go or
- 27:20Speaker 3: a theater performer.
- 27:22Speaker 4: Log breaker.
- 27:24Speaker 3: Yeah, I'm just talking on sort of the entertainment entertainment
- 27:28Speaker 3: side of things.
- 27:29Speaker 2: But I did break up logs of poos and the
- 27:33Speaker 2: Australian Outback.
- 27:34Speaker 4: Yes, yes, that was your calling. You're great calling, they've
- 27:39Speaker 4: said to me.
- 27:40Speaker 3: Actually, old Sticky he used to work there. He said,
- 27:44Speaker 3: there's never been a man like you since Jason. No
- 27:47Speaker 3: one could break a log like you could.
- 27:49Speaker 4: Yeah, the weak point and every tud you laid an eye.
- 27:52Speaker 3: On, they've actually mounted my log, you know, my log
- 27:56Speaker 3: breaking stick in the local barbie.
- 27:59Speaker 4: Right, you were saying that when you used to be like,
- 28:01Speaker 4: oh hey, honey, I'm going to work. She'd say, okay,
- 28:04Speaker 4: break a log.
- 28:07Speaker 3: No I wasn't married at that point, but anyway, but anyway,
- 28:13Speaker 3: you know, stand up comedy.
- 28:14Speaker 2: I've done it all.
- 28:15Speaker 3: I think it's fair to say. And I do a
- 28:16Speaker 3: bit of you know, m seeing for example, and every
- 28:21Speaker 3: now and then I get asked to be a guest
- 28:22Speaker 3: speaker at a particular do. And I got such a
- 28:27Speaker 3: request today and it's kind of baffled me.
- 28:30Speaker 2: It's for the Stone Fruit.
- 28:32Speaker 3: Growers and your gala dinner. And I've got to be honest.
- 28:36Speaker 3: I read I read the email there and I went,
- 28:38Speaker 3: that's baffling to me. I mean, why would the Stone
- 28:41Speaker 3: Fruit Growers and your gala want me to be their
- 28:44Speaker 3: guest speaker, and then I was suddenly thinking, well, I mean,
- 28:47Speaker 3: what would I Well, how do I go about this?
- 28:50Speaker 3: How do I go about a chat to the stone
- 28:52Speaker 3: fruit growers? Do I do I talk about stone fruit
- 28:56Speaker 3: in my own sort of garden and stuff, or do
- 28:59Speaker 3: I talk about my varied and extraordinary career? Yeah, you
- 29:03Speaker 3: got any ideas about what I could sort of because
- 29:06Speaker 3: I'm not I haven't done a lot of I've done
- 29:07Speaker 3: a lot of m scene, not a lot of guest
- 29:09Speaker 3: speaker stuff.
- 29:10Speaker 4: Because I'm seeing as you are just running the night,
- 29:13Speaker 4: you're basically yeah, you might throw a joke in here
- 29:16Speaker 4: or there, but a guest speaker is a concentrated monologue.
- 29:20Speaker 4: That's right.
- 29:20Speaker 2: It's an hour of conversation or monologue where you're looking
- 29:25Speaker 2: to deliver normally on a few different themes or at
- 29:28Speaker 2: least one. Yes, that's part of what we've got at
- 29:32Speaker 2: my business. We have speakers. Jace, You're on the books there,
- 29:35Speaker 2: am I I'm on the books there as well. Not
- 29:38Speaker 2: of inquiries for either of us, It's fair to say.
- 29:41Speaker 2: But generally the big one at the moment we're talking
- 29:43Speaker 2: about off here is they want to hear people talk
- 29:45Speaker 2: about resilience or people are having such a hard time,
- 29:49Speaker 2: they want a bit of humor, yes, to be entertained. Yes, yeah,
- 29:53Speaker 2: just have a bit of a chuckle. So you could
- 29:55Speaker 2: go out there, for example, and you could do a
- 29:57Speaker 2: few scenes Steve from Guidance, for example, from Seven Periods
- 30:02Speaker 2: from Mister Gornsby, and then you could do a couple
- 30:04Speaker 2: of scenes, you know, from Talkback, that hit show that
- 30:08Speaker 2: you guys made, or you could be the captain of
- 30:12Speaker 2: Well into Paranormal when you were you know, the captain
- 30:14Speaker 2: of the boat. That's a few of the greatest hits. Yes,
- 30:17Speaker 2: that sounds good.
- 30:18Speaker 4: Now it's now long. I wait you to speak for right,
- 30:20Speaker 4: because that's great. I reckon you open with that, and
- 30:22Speaker 4: if you want, I've got a few little like I've
- 30:25Speaker 4: got something here that you could use if you want
- 30:27Speaker 4: that sort of weaves in your radio.
- 30:29Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 30:30Speaker 3: Good, sure, sure sounds good because they probably know the
- 30:32Speaker 3: top radio DJ.
- 30:34Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 30:34Speaker 4: So you just if you if you just read these
- 30:36Speaker 4: out one by one and explain that you're a top
- 30:38Speaker 4: radio DJ. Yeah, and that you've sort of you've replaced
- 30:47Speaker 4: the names of certain bands with certain stone fruits. So
- 30:51Speaker 4: if you just read them out one after the other
- 30:52Speaker 4: and have this music playing.
- 30:55Speaker 2: Here's the stone Fruit Temple Pilots.
- 31:03Speaker 3: Here's plums and roses, Here's Golden Queens of the stone Age.
- 31:19Speaker 6: Here's the red Hot light chy lea peppers, light cheese.
- 31:27Speaker 6: Come on, man, here's BlackBerry sabbath.
- 31:34Speaker 2: I reckon that should work well. As punts just pointed out,
- 31:38Speaker 2: some of them don't even have.
- 31:39Speaker 4: Stones kezing, googled it. Blackberries are wanting me to bomb.
- 31:44Speaker 4: Blackberries are a stone fruit. You're going to need a
- 31:46Speaker 4: school up on stone fruit before you do this. Gig. Man,
- 31:49Speaker 4: it sounds like a hit. I want to keep that
- 31:52Speaker 4: if you don't mind, keysy, I'll have a cut of
- 31:53Speaker 4: the prophets though.
- 31:54Speaker 3: Yeah, sure, man, I'll give you a cat like four niictarines,
- 31:59Speaker 3: a couple of plums.
- 32:00Speaker 4: I don't want you to plums.
- 32:01Speaker 2: I want to give you a couple of plumbs. Want them.
- 32:05Speaker 2: Here's helling me in Opei.
- 32:07Speaker 1: The Hiarchy Big Show weekdays from four on Radio Hodarky.
- 32:14Speaker 2: What's this a radio Hucky Barton? He is indeed your
- 32:22Speaker 2: chance to win a meat pack and one hundred bucks cash.
- 32:24Speaker 4: That's right, Jase. We are celebrating National Lamb Day, which
- 32:27Speaker 4: is February fifteenth. Just five sleeps now Fellers before Actually, wow, god,
- 32:32Speaker 4: I can't wait. February fifteenth it is National Lamb Day.
- 32:36Speaker 4: So to celebrate, we've got your chance to win a
- 32:37Speaker 4: beef and lamb New Zealand meat pack one hundred bucks cash.
- 32:40Speaker 4: We're doing it every day this week. We have to
- 32:42Speaker 4: do is listen out for that cue call then call

- 35:08Speaker 7: me a bit more buoyancy.
- 35:09Speaker 4: Yeah, good stuff, Duncan. And question about the bartender in there. Man,
- 35:13Speaker 4: when you pour like a guinness or a stout, do
- 35:15Speaker 4: you put a little shamrock on the top there?
- 35:18Speaker 5: You know what?
- 35:18Speaker 7: I really just focus on the guinness of just pouring

- 36:34Speaker 4: What do you mean? Do you want to do it again? Yes,
- 36:39Speaker 4: What's happening in Old Italy at the Old Winter Olympics
- 36:43Speaker 4: there with me Keyzy.
- 36:46Speaker 2: I just thought it was longer yesterday.
- 36:48Speaker 4: I'd had like out of a dachi and stuff in it.
- 36:50Speaker 2: Oh right, a charming part of it.
- 36:54Speaker 4: That's well, you're not happy with it.
- 36:56Speaker 2: They don't have to do.
- 36:58Speaker 4: I guess it will fouls the segments as I to
- 37:00Speaker 4: keep everyone a breast of what is happening, and.
- 37:04Speaker 3: What a breast, you don't need to over emphasize its.
- 37:09Speaker 4: We're like a minute into this yarn and all I've
- 37:11Speaker 4: done is play the sting twice and try and explain
- 37:14Speaker 4: what the sting is twice.
- 37:15Speaker 2: You got to speed it up, man, This is exactly
- 37:18Speaker 2: what he's talking about. You're faffing around, man, Just get on.
- 37:21Speaker 4: With it, okay, And just I just want to touch
- 37:24Speaker 4: on the fact that using the word a breast is
- 37:26Speaker 4: not some sort of comedy thing I'm trying to do. Okay,
- 37:28Speaker 4: touch on a breast, easy, It's not cool. I'm not
- 37:31Speaker 4: touching on a breast, all right. Not it wouldn't just
- 37:33Speaker 4: be one as well, you know, as usually they're coming
- 37:35Speaker 4: a pair anyway, great new silver medal for New Zealand
- 37:40Speaker 4: fellers first medal. Isn't that great? Thank you, Mogi. I
- 37:47Speaker 4: think it is fantastic. Zoey Sadowski Senate. She won silver
- 37:51Speaker 4: in the woman's snowboard snowboard big air final, which I
- 37:55Speaker 4: believe is snowboard competition, but you have to have massive ears.
- 38:05Speaker 4: Hood Jai will be completing later in the big nose final. Um,
- 38:17Speaker 4: Zoe's going to be looking to defend her snowboard slope
- 38:19Speaker 4: style title later on in the Olympic Games. Next week.
- 38:23Speaker 4: It'll be next week.
- 38:24Speaker 2: Yeah damn it. That's a long time to wait, guy. Yeah,
- 38:28Speaker 2: this is I'll tell you what. This Olympics has really
- 38:32Speaker 2: captured the imagination of a nation, hasn't it?
- 38:42Speaker 4: Ja? People are just they're loving it.
- 38:44Speaker 2: They are MOI, you're right, Look at Jase, look at
- 38:48Speaker 2: him over the youre thinking about Joey's so, isn't it.
- 38:52Speaker 4: I suppose he's just nervous ahead of his big snowboard event.
- 38:59Speaker 1: Would actually beg show with Jason, Mike and Kezy. Tune
- 39:02Speaker 1: in week days at four on radio. Hold I kill
- 39:04Speaker 1: you what It is?
- 39:05Speaker 3: A damn big show with old Hoidy, j Mogi and
- 39:09Speaker 3: Kezy and it's brought to you, incidentally by Rebi.
- 39:11Speaker 4: A gear handcrafted burg years loaded fries and gormets that
- 39:15Speaker 4: will change the game. Now.
- 39:22Speaker 2: I just realized, Fellas, it's Tuesday night.
- 39:24Speaker 3: Normally we do what's on the dinner with me Keysy,
- 39:27Speaker 3: but we're gonna have to skip that tonight because we're.
- 39:29Speaker 2: Doing lunchbox chat. So what are you having for dinner? Keezy?
- 39:33Speaker 2: I need to know.
- 39:34Speaker 4: I actually don't know. I don't know. I asked my
- 39:36Speaker 4: wife as I was leaving, I said, Hey, what are
- 39:38Speaker 4: we having for dinner tonight? And then she's ah, And
- 39:41Speaker 4: I was like, oh my god. By the time she
- 39:42Speaker 4: remembers I was human. By the time she remembers. I'll
- 39:45Speaker 4: be halfway to work, and then just as I was
- 39:48Speaker 4: like hopping in my car, I heard her yet the
- 39:49Speaker 4: window chacking, right, so.
- 39:52Speaker 2: It's checking, yeah, check, and portmants, okay.
- 39:56Speaker 4: That's not yeah checking Portman's.
- 40:00Speaker 2: I don't mind a chicken mint. I'll often make my
- 40:02Speaker 2: own chicken mints. I think it's madness. I think it's madness.
- 40:06Speaker 2: And just while we're on that, my wife's gotten into
- 40:09Speaker 2: the habit of making a chicken drumstick an abomination of
- 40:14Speaker 2: a cat. She knows I don't like it. A drums
- 40:18Speaker 2: I low the drumsticks. I low the drumstick and they
- 40:21Speaker 2: keep turning up. And Grandma So. I got home and
- 40:25Speaker 2: my wife said, when Grandma Sue was there, chicken drumsticks tonight,
- 40:28Speaker 2: I said, I hate chicken drumsticks. My wife took that information,
- 40:32Speaker 2: turned to Grandma So and said, yeah, he hates chicken drumsticks,
- 40:37Speaker 2: So well, why are they in the house.
- 40:40Speaker 4: Do you see what I'm saying?
- 40:41Speaker 2: I see what you're saying. How much she's having a
- 40:43Speaker 2: go at me. She knows I don't like it. So
- 40:45Speaker 2: what she's saying to me when I come home, what's
- 40:47Speaker 2: for dinner? And I make dinner too, so I don't
- 40:49Speaker 2: start the three women that listened to that to the show.
- 40:53Speaker 2: But when I come home and I say what's the
- 40:55Speaker 2: dinner and she sees chicken drumsticks, what she's saying to
- 40:58Speaker 2: me is nothing for you. Yes, do you like a
- 41:03Speaker 2: chicken nibble?
- 41:04Speaker 4: Love a chicken nibble? Different?
- 41:07Speaker 2: I know what you're saying. Chicken nibble is a nibble,
- 41:10Speaker 2: It's not dinner. The chicken nibble is a chickenble, is
- 41:13Speaker 2: a snack, a drum stick. There's there's just too much work.
- 41:17Speaker 2: I didn't know chicken's head nipples. What are you having, Jason,
- 41:24Speaker 2: I don't know. Actually, we.
- 41:27Speaker 3: Had a wonderful barn me last night, very good. It
- 41:31Speaker 3: was too chicken thigh that was did you know in.
- 41:35Speaker 4: A barn me, which is like a French roll stick there, Yeah,
- 41:38Speaker 4: a Vietnamese sort of yeah sandwich, they had petae in it.
- 41:42Speaker 2: Oh, I didn't know that. I don't know if you
- 41:46Speaker 2: guys know this. I've been to Vietnam. I don't recall
- 41:50Speaker 2: them putting petai in their barn me.
- 41:53Speaker 4: But you're off your face on the opium.
- 41:57Speaker 2: Over in Vietnam. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 42:00Speaker 1: Hdarchy Big Show week days from four on Radio Hodarkey.
- 42:03Speaker 3: Found garden there on the Radio Hodarchy Big Show this
- 42:06Speaker 3: Tuesday evening. Now, we had a bit of a chat
- 42:08Speaker 3: earlier in the show about the old lunch boxes that
- 42:12Speaker 3: we used to have as kids, and we decided to
- 42:14Speaker 3: try and formulate a top ten list of what must
- 42:18Speaker 3: haves in the lunch box.
- 42:19Speaker 4: Yeah, it's amazing because it's sort of it goes across generations.
- 42:22Speaker 4: It does because I had dunk a us, which are
- 42:25Speaker 4: little kangaroo biscuits you dunked in chocolate. But you guys
- 42:28Speaker 4: didn't have those. Now, I never had those. They sound good.
- 42:31Speaker 4: Did you never had them? Did you have a lunchbox
- 42:33Speaker 4: with a picture on it? I didn't have a lunch
- 42:35Speaker 4: box at all.
- 42:36Speaker 2: I had a school bag in which I put my
- 42:40Speaker 2: change of clothes if I needed one, in which case
- 42:43Speaker 2: I put se a pair of andies once because I
- 42:46Speaker 2: had diarrhea. Didn't need them as it turns out, so
- 42:49Speaker 2: that was right, and also my school books and all
- 42:54Speaker 2: that sort of thing, and all of my food.
- 42:56Speaker 4: We'll just float around in there.
- 42:58Speaker 3: I used to have a stick which I put over
- 43:01Speaker 3: my shoulder, and I used to have kodchief and I
- 43:03Speaker 3: used to wrap it up in a kerchief and tie
- 43:05Speaker 3: it on the end of my stack.
- 43:06Speaker 4: You're so lucky you were. I was about to say
- 43:08Speaker 4: the exact thing. And you have like a bit of
- 43:11Speaker 4: hard tack in their a or like a biscuit. Yeah yeah,
- 43:15Speaker 4: cabin bread, cabin bread, Yeah yeah. Zap milk has come
- 43:20Speaker 4: up quite a lot on three four eighty three, which
- 43:22Speaker 4: I never had.
- 43:22Speaker 2: Now, that was a real flashback. That was real early
- 43:25Speaker 2: eighties sort of stuff. It was banana, chocolate and strawberry. Yes,
- 43:31Speaker 2: so may even have been a caramel, but it was
- 43:33Speaker 2: in the little sort of tetra packs and the other
- 43:37Speaker 2: thing that went with that. I think it may because
- 43:39Speaker 2: that's you think now those tetra packs have been around forever,
- 43:42Speaker 2: but of course they weren't. Just juice used to be
- 43:45Speaker 2: in those as well. But the thing was, and I
- 43:46Speaker 2: really remember it with the milk is you'd scull it,
- 43:49Speaker 2: you drink it with your straw, then you put it
- 43:51Speaker 2: on the ground. Then you stomp on it and it
- 43:53Speaker 2: would pop and the milk would go splatter out along
- 43:56Speaker 2: the concrete.
- 43:57Speaker 3: And that's that's core memories, man, All memory gunshot wound.
- 44:03Speaker 4: Wound is that was primo. The thing that took over zape.
- 44:10Speaker 2: It was that in the plastic bottle. So by that
- 44:12Speaker 2: time that came out, it was off me flavored milk.
- 44:15Speaker 4: You're off the milk.
- 44:16Speaker 2: I still love my flavored milks.
- 44:18Speaker 4: Yeah, same here. J So you loved Nippy, Yes, Nippy's
- 44:21Speaker 4: iced coffee jelly crystals. Is that a thing? It was?
- 44:25Speaker 2: It was sort of a cousin to the RaRo naval orange,
- 44:28Speaker 2: sort of a set up. But I'll be honest with you,
- 44:32Speaker 2: most people look down on that. Yeah, okay, we we
- 44:34Speaker 2: ran the condensed milk a little bit, you know, yeah,
- 44:39Speaker 2: like just a Yes.
- 44:41Speaker 4: That was sort of in the in the shadow of
- 44:44Speaker 4: the Second World War.
- 44:45Speaker 3: Yes, you couldn't really have your two liters of milk there?
- 44:49Speaker 3: Keasy to go off in the trenches, right, yeah.
- 44:52Speaker 4: Wait, so you're in the trenches now, all right? So
- 44:55Speaker 4: the top ten looks like this, fellers, and feel free
- 44:58Speaker 4: to jump in at anybody. This is from contributions from
- 45:00Speaker 4: the listeners and the most common things that have come
- 45:03Speaker 4: through Top ten, in no particular order.
- 45:05Speaker 2: Number one, roll up, Yes, roll up. There in there
- 45:08Speaker 2: roll up was a little bit of fruit, wasn't it,
- 45:11Speaker 2: they said? But really it was just sugar and it
- 45:13Speaker 2: was rolled out and wrapped up in a little bit
- 45:14Speaker 2: of baking paper so it didn't stick to itself. Yes,
- 45:17Speaker 2: very very chiwy, very bad. My mother used to say,
- 45:20Speaker 2: it will have you, it'll have your feelings out, yes one.
- 45:23Speaker 2: And I loved it and I wasn't allowed it, and
- 45:24Speaker 2: I used to always trade for it. Number two is
- 45:26Speaker 2: iced animals. Number three less snack, which is three crackers
- 45:30Speaker 2: and some cheese crackers. Number four sun made raisins. Yeah,
- 45:34Speaker 2: that's a real yeah, there's an absolute classic.
- 45:37Speaker 4: It has to be sun made too, so that you
- 45:38Speaker 4: can use the box as a whistle afterwards. Number five
- 45:41Speaker 4: Kelcey flavored yogurt. And you don't use a spoon. You
- 45:44Speaker 4: tear a corner of the lid off and you suck
- 45:46Speaker 4: it out. That's right, you suck it right, soeeze it
- 45:50Speaker 4: and you squeeze it real hard. You get the heel
- 45:52Speaker 4: of your hand right in the bottom of it there,
- 45:54Speaker 4: and then you just chuck it on the ground. How
- 45:55Speaker 4: good man. Number six ra Row Navel orange eating straight
- 45:59Speaker 4: out of the packets sweet o yep. Number seven is
- 46:02Speaker 4: kabar any flavor k bar Jays because my favorite was
- 46:04Speaker 4: the orange one as well.
- 46:06Speaker 2: Orange. I did like an orange one.
- 46:07Speaker 4: I like the grape one great purple yeah, the purple one, okay.
- 46:11Speaker 4: Number eight dunk ruse, which I've mentioned. Number nine zap
- 46:14Speaker 4: flavored milk. Which flavor do we want to lock in?
- 46:16Speaker 2: Chucky? But I used to Gore's fine by mate.
- 46:18Speaker 4: And number ten is a luncheon sausage sandwich with lots
- 46:21Speaker 4: of butter and tomatoes sauce.
- 46:23Speaker 2: Yeah, and I didn't like lots of butter, but it
- 46:26Speaker 2: used to come with lots of better.
- 46:27Speaker 4: They are good.
- 46:28Speaker 2: That's that's a great top ten. Yes, out of all
- 46:30Speaker 2: of those things in terms of healthy foods that I
- 46:33Speaker 2: would choose to feed my daughter in this day and age,
- 46:36Speaker 2: I don't think one of them. Lands would end on
- 46:39Speaker 2: the raisins. I know you're not even allowed raisins now
- 46:42Speaker 2: to say you can't because they stick to your teeth
- 46:44Speaker 2: and create cavities.
- 46:46Speaker 4: It's out the gate, PC gone man.
- 46:49Speaker 1: The Harchy Big Show was Jason, Mike and Kyzy tune.
- 46:53Speaker 2: In on Radio Incubus.

- 47:14Speaker 4: bar like a lamb, which is Pug's idea. He just
- 47:19Speaker 4: piped in there and tell it yeah, which is good stuff. Pugs.
- 47:23Speaker 3: Keep it up, buddy, It is really good from you man,
- 47:25Speaker 3: good stuff, Pugs saying, I'm proud of you man.
- 47:27Speaker 4: National Lamb Day is February the fifteenth, which is not
- 47:31Speaker 4: far off, now fellers. In fact, it's this Sunday. Wow,
- 47:34Speaker 4: So this Sunday, why don't you fire at your barbecue
- 47:36Speaker 4: for National Lamb Day and find out more about the
- 47:39Speaker 4: day at National Lamb Day. O.
- 47:40Speaker 2: I don't think I've had a barbecue this year, No
- 47:42Speaker 2: neither I. But how good you gonna have your Sunday
- 47:45Speaker 2: lamb roast?
- 47:46Speaker 4: One hundred percent? Man, raise a chot on National Lamb
- 47:49Speaker 4: Day this Sunday, Now Fellas, we put three people in
- 47:52Speaker 4: the drawer earlier on the show, it is now time
- 47:54Speaker 4: to call one of them. We have done a Lucky Dick.
- 47:58Speaker 2: Click that off was your the radio awards there, Old
- 48:05Speaker 2: Lucky Dick they call them. What am I gonna got
- 48:08Speaker 2: a new nickname, Old Lucky Dick? Because I haven't got
- 48:11Speaker 2: enough nicknames as it is.
- 48:13Speaker 4: We had to choose between Dan, Jack, and Duncan, and
- 48:16Speaker 4: we've done a randomizer and Duncan has come out on
- 48:18Speaker 4: top of you. See I just moved on.
- 48:19Speaker 2: Yes, really good case.
- 48:21Speaker 4: I just want to let you know that that's not
- 48:22Speaker 4: the end of it. It definitely is. So Duncan came
- 48:27Speaker 4: out on top. It's gonna call the feelers, Jase.
- 48:33Speaker 3: Yeah, man, yeah, get a Duncan your mad bar Sard.
- 48:39Speaker 3: It's the fellows from the Big Show.

- 49:33Speaker 4: You're already getting heaps of meat. You know what I'd do,
- 49:35Speaker 4: I'd take the meat and I'd sell it for cash,
- 49:38Speaker 4: and you get heat through it as well. Yes, you're lucky.
- 49:44Speaker 4: I forgot about it. I had completely forgotten about that.
- 49:50Speaker 1: The hold Achty Big Show with Mike and Keysy tune
- 49:53Speaker 1: in week days and four on Radio Hodaki is.
- 49:56Speaker 4: Indeed faith no more.
- 49:57Speaker 2: There on the radio hold Aky Big Show. There's a
- 49:59Speaker 2: beautiful Tuesday evening.
- 50:01Speaker 4: Hey, fellows, I've got a hypothetical question.
- 50:02Speaker 2: Can I lay it on? Yes? Sure? Man?
- 50:07Speaker 4: All right, So been thinking about this, And there's another
- 50:09Speaker 4: hypothetical question in tonight's podcast Outrow that comes out at
- 50:12Speaker 4: seven thirty pm. You should check it out.
- 50:14Speaker 2: I think we should start doing those hypotheticals. That should
- 50:17Speaker 2: be a do We used to do.
- 50:18Speaker 3: That as a standard thing on the shower, on the
- 50:20Speaker 3: podcast anywhere on the show we did is Yeah.
- 50:23Speaker 4: So this this one is something I have actually thought
- 50:26Speaker 4: about quite a lot when I'm driving home daydreaming. So
- 50:29Speaker 4: let's say I get access to a time machine, right,
- 50:32Speaker 4: and I somehow get warped back in time to say
- 50:35Speaker 4: ancient Egyptian times. Oh yeah, and I'm an egypt and
- 50:39Speaker 4: they discover me. Yeah, you'd be a slave in three minutes.
- 50:43Speaker 4: How can I communicate to the Egyptians that I am
- 50:46Speaker 4: worth keeping around because of my knowledge from the future?
- 50:49Speaker 4: Oh what is my knowledge from the future?
- 50:51Speaker 3: You go, well, I think that's a ridiculous hypothetical because
- 50:55Speaker 3: they burn you at the stake. Well, let's say what
- 50:57Speaker 3: they do as a madman. But I don't know about
- 51:00Speaker 3: they put you on on the slave judy to build
- 51:03Speaker 3: a pyramid. That go, this guy's lost as marbles. He's
- 51:07Speaker 3: saying he's from the future.
- 51:09Speaker 2: We might have to put might have to put them
- 51:11Speaker 2: on buckets of sand duty. I don't think you're going
- 51:13Speaker 2: to handle the big rock exactly. Yeah, buckets of sand duty,
- 51:17Speaker 2: sand out of the way keys so you can put
- 51:19Speaker 2: the stones in, you know.
- 51:21Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 51:21Speaker 4: Well, but the thing is like, how can I communicate
- 51:23Speaker 4: them from the future because I don't speak Egyptian.
- 51:25Speaker 2: You know what I would do, man, I'll tell you
- 51:27Speaker 2: what this is what I would do. Do you know
- 51:28Speaker 2: the old I'm pulling off my finger trick or got
- 51:34Speaker 2: your nose as another one? Absolutely? I think those sort
- 51:38Speaker 2: of little parlor tricks would really fool those idiot Egyptians
- 51:42Speaker 2: that built the.
- 51:42Speaker 4: Pyramids, wouldn't they think I'm a witch doctor, a witch
- 51:45Speaker 4: doctor and then put me on sand bucket, judy because
- 51:48Speaker 4: of your naps? No, so what, which witch doctors in
- 51:53Speaker 4: history have got giant nips?
- 51:54Speaker 3: Actually, quite a few famous doctors have big naps. That's
- 51:58Speaker 3: actually what qualified them in the first place, because they
- 52:02Speaker 3: had such an unusual body thing going on that they
- 52:05Speaker 3: were like immediately shunned by society and turned into witch doctors.
- 52:09Speaker 2: You probably, you know, because of course they had that technique.
- 52:12Speaker 2: You probably would have been put on a dunking machine
- 52:15Speaker 2: and they would have dunked you in the nile. Yes,
- 52:17Speaker 2: thank you. And that's one of those ones where they
- 52:19Speaker 2: dunk you and if you drown, then you weren't a witch.
- 52:23Speaker 2: But if you are, at which point you get burned
- 52:26Speaker 2: at the stake. But it's a classic bit of genius.
- 52:29Speaker 4: Let's just say for some reason they hear me out
- 52:32Speaker 4: and they're like, tell us something from the future that
- 52:34Speaker 4: shows why we should keep you around. What knowledge could
- 52:38Speaker 4: I lean on? Do I look around and look at
- 52:39Speaker 4: the wheel, for example? Do I say, give I look
- 52:41Speaker 4: at one of your chariots man. Well, you know, can
- 52:44Speaker 4: I prove that?
- 52:45Speaker 2: Can I just say if you had your dad, yeah
- 52:50Speaker 2: he could probably. Can I just say?
- 52:52Speaker 3: I mean, you're you're putting it in a scenario, right,
- 52:55Speaker 3: They're just sitting there chatting with you, going, oh, so,
- 52:58Speaker 3: what was this guy gonna I mean.
- 53:00Speaker 2: See you and execute you, probably because you'd so freakish.
- 53:04Speaker 4: Look what were you wearing when you go back? I
- 53:07Speaker 4: guess just what I'm wearing now, like a T shirt
- 53:09Speaker 4: with dragcars.
- 53:10Speaker 2: On Tween regional champions.
- 53:12Speaker 4: And then a Wars hat on backwards. Well, this is fun,
- 53:17Speaker 4: This is a fun way to do hypothetical. But I
- 53:18Speaker 4: don't know, I'm just I really am wondering what you
- 53:21Speaker 4: could do.
- 53:22Speaker 2: Yeah, because it's like if you had a hecky sec
- 53:24Speaker 2: you'd be sweet a hula hoop.
- 53:27Speaker 4: Hmmm, I can't.
- 53:28Speaker 2: Maybe some juggling balls.
- 53:30Speaker 4: Yeah, well they would have people in the court there
- 53:33Speaker 4: for that juggle for the pharaoh already do they have
- 53:35Speaker 4: a court for the pharaoh?
- 53:36Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 53:38Speaker 4: The oldest magic trek documented magic trek is from ancient
- 53:41Speaker 4: Egyptian times. What was that? So? I was like, I
- 53:44Speaker 4: think they cut the head off an animal and then
- 53:46Speaker 4: brought it back to life. It's a good trick, I think.
- 53:51Speaker 4: But anyway, this has been fun. Guys. We should definitely
- 53:53Speaker 4: do this segment more often because it's a great chat.
- 53:56Speaker 2: Yeah, I definitely want to do it more.
- 53:58Speaker 4: But now I really want to know what would work
- 53:59Speaker 4: in that such a situation.
- 54:01Speaker 2: Well, textas three for a yeah, three and let us.
- 54:03Speaker 1: Know the Hurarchy Big Show weekdays from four on Radio Hurdarchy.
- 54:16Speaker 2: There you go, your made bastards.
- 54:18Speaker 3: That's the Big Show, done and dusted this Tuesday evening
- 54:21Speaker 3: now on the podcast outro. It was an interesting, fascinating
- 54:25Speaker 3: hypothetical chat that we had. It kind of did my
- 54:28Speaker 3: head in a little bit, but the other fellows really
- 54:30Speaker 3: enjoyed it.
- 54:32Speaker 4: It was good stuff. If you want to hear the
- 54:33Speaker 4: full chat, it comes out at seventh thirty tonight search
- 54:35Speaker 4: Hucky Big Show where you get your podcasts from. Here's
- 54:37Speaker 4: a we snippet. I went back in time and they
- 54:42Speaker 4: just had a had a.
- 54:43Speaker 2: He went back into time and he was itself and
- 54:46Speaker 2: then went in the end made himself watch, Oh no,
- 54:50Speaker 2: what the hell would be a hell of a pest.
- 54:53Speaker 4: That was a pretty good picture. Obviously, the podcast itself
- 54:58Speaker 4: is not beated.
- 54:59Speaker 2: No I'll tell you what. I enjoyed that chat, and
- 55:02Speaker 2: I'll be listening to that podcast. Good on you because
- 55:04Speaker 2: it is interesting.
- 55:05Speaker 3: But tonight, though, you'll be going home having some drumsticks
- 55:08Speaker 3: and a lie down, you know.
- 55:10Speaker 2: Hilariously, My texted me and she said, would you like
- 55:13Speaker 2: there's pasta tonight? Would you either like it with tune
- 55:16Speaker 2: it or drumsticks? Damn? And I'm saying drumsticks films. Really,
- 55:21Speaker 2: I just want to give them out of their house.
- 55:23Speaker 2: I don't want themIn of my fridge anymore. And I
- 55:24Speaker 2: want them gone. You want them done? Have they marinated?
- 55:27Speaker 2: At least? I'll be honest's had to tell I've had
- 55:31Speaker 2: six today. I've never seen you so broken.
- 55:35Speaker 4: I don't like them either.
- 55:37Speaker 2: I'm not a big fan of them. I'm not a
- 55:39Speaker 2: big fan of them.
- 55:40Speaker 5: It's not it.
- 55:42Speaker 2: Like I get it if there's no other option. But
- 55:46Speaker 2: there's so many other options to chicken drumsticks. You see
- 55:49Speaker 2: what I'm saying.
- 55:50Speaker 3: It sounds like you guys get into the same sort
- 55:52Speaker 3: of situation we get into. Is Yes, there's a lot
- 55:54Speaker 3: of options, but I just I just don't know which
- 55:57Speaker 3: one to pick.
- 55:59Speaker 4: I do, Yeah, thigh is number one.
- 56:02Speaker 2: Thigh. In terms of chicken, breast, breast is dry. You're
- 56:05Speaker 2: got to wean yourself on fire. It's dry because your
- 56:09Speaker 2: wife's cooking. No no, no, no, no no, no bogie.
- 56:11Speaker 4: How do you? How do you? We should discuss this
- 56:15Speaker 4: on the show? What is the ranking for parts of
- 56:17Speaker 4: the chicken?
- 56:18Speaker 2: I agree, in the next day we can do a
- 56:21Speaker 2: cow and wow, you know you'd be the professional on
- 56:26Speaker 2: the peg, all of it jamming in the minta kezie.
- 56:31Speaker 2: What are you up to tonight? Mate?
- 56:33Speaker 4: Go home, watch something with my wife, play PlayStation, got
- 56:36Speaker 4: a be ja ah? Let me think we don't we
- 56:41Speaker 4: literally don't have time.
- 56:42Speaker 3: Well, obviously, I'm going to start walking and die tomorrow
