- 1:06[SPEAKER_00]: Jaguar's mandatory mini camp Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday of this week, so practice will be pretty much every day.
- 1:15[SPEAKER_00]: Starting right around 9 o'clock 9 o'clock, 9 o'clock 5 to around 11 a.m. tomorrow, we will be hearing from head coach Liam Cohen.
- 1:22[SPEAKER_00]: offensive coordinator, Grant Yudinsky, offensive alignment, starting center.
- 1:26[SPEAKER_00]: Robert Hainesy, after practice, so be on the lookout for that.
- 1:30[SPEAKER_00]: Wednesday, you'll have Liam Cohen again, defensive coordinator, Anthony Campanile, Josh Heinz Allen, after practice, and then Thursday, Liam Cohen.
- 1:39[SPEAKER_00]: He's far-well-special teams coordinator, and Jacoby Myers, so
- 1:44[SPEAKER_00]: not looking like Trevor Lawrence is going to have a media availability for this one, but mandatory mini-campus, you know, it's a lot different with this new regime than it has been because like when Doug Peterson was here, pretty much if if
- 2:00[SPEAKER_00]: There was good attendance and good work done during voluntary OTAs.
- 2:05[SPEAKER_00]: The veterans got mandatory minicamp off and it was pretty much just like a rookie minicamp again during mandatory minicamp.
- 2:11[SPEAKER_00]: So definitely a different feel and vibe from that with this new regime.
- 2:15[SPEAKER_00]: Or I say new.
- 2:17[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, they've been
- 2:18[SPEAKER_00]: been in town for over a year now but still fairly new all things considered but yeah it's still not a full pads practice but it is the next step and there will be one more OTA at least there's scheduled to be one more OTA next week and that will be the end and then it schools schools out for summer until training camp gets kicked off you know in late July so we're getting
- 2:46[SPEAKER_00]: the end of mini-camp OTAs and then waiting for training camp to ramp up, but it's summer, it'll go by quick and then once training camp starts, I mean it's basically the start of the season, it's like full steam ahead, training camp, preseason a couple weeks later, get through the preseason and then it's time for football.
- 3:04[SPEAKER_00]: So we're getting there y'all.
- 3:06[SPEAKER_00]: Now, Wednesday practice fans that signed up for a free ticket will be able to attend.
- 3:11[SPEAKER_00]: I don't know if that's like
- 3:16[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, fans will be able to attend that one, which will be cool to just, you know, see some fans up in the bleachers there, and obviously, what a different vibe and situation it is for fans at Miller Electric Center compared to the Jaguar's old practice facility used to just be bacon in the sun.
- 3:36[SPEAKER_00]: Now you've got not only a huge, like,
- 3:42[SPEAKER_00]: awning, cover, whatever you want to call it, you also have big ass fans just, you know, spread in the breeze.
- 3:49[SPEAKER_00]: So it's nice.
- 3:50[SPEAKER_00]: It really is a nice situation.
- 3:52[SPEAKER_00]: And for media as well, there's a lot more places to find some shape out on that practice field, so very appreciative of it.
- 3:59[SPEAKER_00]: So what am I actually watching out here?
- 4:03[SPEAKER_00]: The Trevor Lawrence and Brian Thomas Jr.
- 4:04[SPEAKER_00]: Connection is something that
- 4:07[SPEAKER_00]: been talking about for weeks, uh, entering OTAs, that was something we were looking at and heavily going to be keeping an eye on just because if that can really sharpen and their chemistry can grow.
- 4:22[SPEAKER_00]: and BTJ can play a little bit more like the guy we saw in 2024, and the guy we saw a little bit down the stretch in 2025, not heavily targeted down the stretch in 2025, but played much better than he did prior to all those injuries, and we've talked about BTJ.
- 4:40[SPEAKER_00]: If they can establish that connection, that could be another step for the Jaguar's offense,
- 4:47[SPEAKER_00]: Teams already respected BTJ last year, whenever he was on the field.
- 4:50[SPEAKER_00]: They have to respect the deep ball and his ability to get down the field and stretch the field.
- 4:55[SPEAKER_00]: But imagine adding the layer of actually having a ton of production down the field.
- 5:01[SPEAKER_00]: That would actually...
- 5:03[SPEAKER_00]: Kind of I mean, that'd be scary for opposing defenses.
- 5:06[SPEAKER_00]: So that's something we're keeping an eye on.
- 5:08[SPEAKER_00]: It's been good so far We've only seen two practices the media.
- 5:11[SPEAKER_00]: They've had about four or five practices I think so far, but the media has only been able to attend to If you don't include rookie minicamp like when Trevor and BTJ have been out there
- 5:22[SPEAKER_00]: media has been out there for two, and the connection down the field has been strong between both of them.
- 5:27[SPEAKER_00]: One player that, like, there are several players dealing with injuries that are working their way back, right?
- 5:32[SPEAKER_00]: From last year, Colvian Lanin, Travis Hunter, Jordan Lewis, the one guy who we didn't know anything about an injury coming into OTAs was Chris Rodriguez, but he wasn't available during OTAs.
- 5:45[SPEAKER_00]: We're going to be keeping an eye on how he's doing.
- 5:52[SPEAKER_00]: I don't want to really speculate, so we'll just keep an eye on it.
- 5:57[SPEAKER_00]: And we also will be seeing, I presume, Dane Jackson out there.
- 6:01[SPEAKER_00]: The Jaguar has picked him up after Keith Taylor, a tour of pectoral working out, corner back.
- 6:07[SPEAKER_00]: Dane Jackson has a lot of experience.
- 6:09[SPEAKER_00]: We'll also be seeing a Tristan Cologne for the first time, who's an offensive lime in the Jaguar's added.
- 6:14[SPEAKER_00]: They released or waived, sound warmly in order to add Tristan Cologne, who's somebody who has experience with some of the guys on the Jaguar's coaching staff, Spencer Whipple,
- 6:24[SPEAKER_00]: In Arizona and he's got a lot of experience in the NFL actually taking reps during the regular season at Center at Regard at left guard So somebody to keep an eye on there to a couple guys have a bunch of experience coming in here
- 6:39[SPEAKER_00]: Young players that are kind of less heralded.
- 6:42[SPEAKER_00]: CJ Williams obviously a draft pick by the Jaguars, but a guy who at receiver to me has popped in every practice I've seen him so far.
- 6:50[SPEAKER_00]: He has looked like he's got kind of sweet feet, like really good route running, and he's got decent size, he's not dropped anything.
- 7:00[SPEAKER_00]: He's looked good, so that's a receiver that is going to be interesting to continue to track.
- 7:05[SPEAKER_00]: Jabar Muhamid,
- 7:07[SPEAKER_00]: I'm driving for agent from last year, Devon Marshall and Preston Hodge.
- 7:10[SPEAKER_00]: These are guys at corner have made place throughout practice so far and maybe you could chalk that up to the Jaguar's back up quarterback's not looking great, which is true.
- 7:22[SPEAKER_00]: Maybe you could say these guys are making some plays.
- 7:24[SPEAKER_00]: I think it's a little bit of both probably.
- 7:26[SPEAKER_00]: Particularly, Jabarman Hamid has stood out every practice we've seen so far.
- 7:31[SPEAKER_00]: Devon Marshall has made plays, Preston Hodge has made plays as well.
- 7:35[SPEAKER_00]: So those are guys I'm keeping an eye on.
- 7:37[SPEAKER_00]: When you look at some of the other younger players that are pretty important, really, not necessarily for right now, all of them.
- 7:48[SPEAKER_00]: Some players, the Jaguars have spent day to draft capital on, that you want to see something from.
- 7:54[SPEAKER_00]: Caleb Ransal has played well so far.
- 7:56[SPEAKER_00]: You've seen him make multiple plays in one of the practices that we weren't at.
- 8:00[SPEAKER_00]: The Jaguars put out a clip of him making an interception and team drills, so that was good to see.
- 8:04[SPEAKER_00]: But he's a talented player.
- 8:06[SPEAKER_00]: Why am I alone?
- 8:07[SPEAKER_00]: Another third round pick from last year, another talented player.
- 8:10[SPEAKER_00]: I want to see him.
- 8:12[SPEAKER_00]: evaluating offensive line defensive line during these settings is not the easiest to do just because you're not really full contact in any way shape or form but definitely going to be keeping an eye on both of those guys and then the day two guys from this year as well you know Nate Borkerture he's looked good getting in and out of breaks as a route runner you've seen him just kind of the way he can change direction has left some guys in the dust as
- 8:43[SPEAKER_00]: Excited to see him.
- 8:43[SPEAKER_00]: Emmanuel Pregnant, obviously, is somebody.
- 8:47[SPEAKER_00]: A lot of people, including myself, think, will, if not be competing for a starting job early this year at some point soon in the next couple years, he should be figuring to factor in, same thing with why at myelom, and then Jalen Husky, the safety or the Jaguar drive to out of Maryland.
- 9:03[SPEAKER_00]: You want to see him make plays, and he has made plays.
- 9:06[SPEAKER_00]: During practice so far, he's made a couple big past breakups, almost got in an reception.
- 9:12[SPEAKER_00]: a guy who probably not looking to be a starter this year, you have Eric Murray, Antonio Johnson, Caleb Ransal, but he could very easily be in the plans for starting for 2027, depending on how things shake out with the roster.
- 9:26[SPEAKER_00]: So those are the big things I'm going to be watching.
- 9:30[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, obviously, you can also get into like
- 9:34[SPEAKER_00]: There's Trevor Lawrence put the ball in harm's way at all, which again during practice.
- 9:37[SPEAKER_00]: At this time of year, you're going to try some things.
- 9:40[SPEAKER_00]: You might not be attempting during the regular season.
- 9:44[SPEAKER_00]: So far, there's been a lot of good going the ball deep from Trevor Lawrence, but also a couple of interceptions.
- 9:51[SPEAKER_00]: You got picked off by Buster Brown, throwing a deep to Parker Washington on what was an underthrow in pass.
- 9:57[SPEAKER_00]: The Eric Murray interception was also on a deep ball.
- 10:03[SPEAKER_00]: I just think it was poorly placed.
- 10:04[SPEAKER_00]: But then you have all sorts of connections down the field to guys too.
- 10:08[SPEAKER_00]: So particularly Brian Thomas Jr.
- 10:11[SPEAKER_00]: So I'll be watching that for sure.
- 10:15[SPEAKER_00]: I'll be watching that.
- 10:16[SPEAKER_00]: You want to continue to sharpen and dial in as things move forward, especially once you get into training camp.
- 10:21[SPEAKER_00]: other than that, I think Trevor Lawrence has looked really clean, really smart, taking care of the football and kind of feeling more comfortable in this offense.
- 10:32[SPEAKER_00]: You want to see the entire offense be more comfortable.
- 10:35[SPEAKER_00]: Like with, you know, the pre-snaps stuff, I think they've had one penalty so far, which is good to see.
- 10:41[SPEAKER_00]: And yeah, you're just looking for a clean operation overall, and we'll be paying attention to anything that happens, like,
- 10:50[SPEAKER_00]: injury wise, unfortunately, you always have to keep an eye on that and then any particular like.
- 10:58[SPEAKER_00]: I guess specific situational stuff.
- 11:02[SPEAKER_00]: We've seen some backed up on the goal line, we've seen some end of half type stuff so far, so I'm gonna be keeping an eye on that too.
- 11:09[SPEAKER_00]: That's gonna do it though.
- 11:10[SPEAKER_00]: Really appreciate y'all tuning in, support in the channel.
- 11:12[SPEAKER_00]: Love talking jacks football with you.
- 11:14[SPEAKER_00]: Let me know what you're looking for.
- 11:15[SPEAKER_00]: During mandatory mini camp here, what you want me to keep an eye on in the comment section below.
- 11:19[SPEAKER_00]: Y'all have a good one.
