- 0:06SPEAKER_01: What is going on, ballers?
- 0:08SPEAKER_01: It's your boy MJ coming at you with another episode of the Fantasy Fumble.
- 0:13SPEAKER_01: This is week five of Fancy Football Year 2026.
- 0:19SPEAKER_01: Joe, how are you doing this fine evening today, sir?
- 0:22SPEAKER_00: I'm okay.
- 0:24SPEAKER_00: I was talking about last week how I dodged the injuries from week three, but I did not dodge them in week four.
- 0:31SPEAKER_00: So I'm scrambling right now in a couple leagues trying to fill positions.
- 0:35SPEAKER_01: Yeah, it sounds like we're we're back to the injury apocalypse, guys.
- 0:38SPEAKER_01: We're gonna go over that news and notes.
- 0:40SPEAKER_01: Uh, of course, we're gonna cover some of our new stuff.
- 0:44SPEAKER_01: Uh, trade targets will be on this show here today.
- 0:47SPEAKER_01: But uh without further ado, let's go ahead and turn it over to Joe for the news and notes.
- 0:58SPEAKER_00: All right, our running back, Savequan Barkley, is week to week with a hamstring injury, and of course, his backup, tanks big tank Bigsby, uh, was placed on IR.
- 1:09SPEAKER_00: So I don't know.
- 1:11SPEAKER_00: Maybe Will Shipley will do something, maybe not.
- 1:14SPEAKER_00: Um, Bears running back Manongai is day-to-day uh with a thumb injury, and Joe Mixon is actually not being signed by the Seahawks after his physical.
- 1:26SPEAKER_00: So keep him in the back of your mind.
- 1:28SPEAKER_00: He might be signed by another team.
- 1:30SPEAKER_01: But I want to I want to speak on that.
- 1:32SPEAKER_01: So Joe Mixon, so here's what happened.
- 1:35SPEAKER_01: So Joe Mixon, that rumor for him going to the Seahawks came in on like Sunday morning, right?
- 1:40SPEAKER_01: Right when um, or like it was like Saturday or Sunday, they talked about him taking a trip over there.
- 1:46SPEAKER_01: So I feel like they already had an agreement in place.
- 1:49SPEAKER_01: So when Joe Mixon, so when Sunday ended and all the the players got injured, he already had an agreement in place with Seattle.
- 1:56SPEAKER_01: So Seattle was uh doing the next part of the agreement, which was to give him a physical.
- 2:02SPEAKER_01: So I think if Joe Mixon was smart, he failed that physical.
- 2:07SPEAKER_01: So they had to release him, and now that he's released, he gets to sign with a team that has more of a trajectory towards starting.
- 2:15SPEAKER_01: Because if you look at it now, he's not gonna start over Emmanuel Wilson.
- 2:18SPEAKER_01: So what is he gonna do?
- 2:19SPEAKER_01: Take a backseat until Charbonnet comes back, you know.
- 2:22SPEAKER_01: So it's it's just one of those situations where it was a terrible fit for him, and I think hopefully, you know, someone like the Eagles gives him a call because he can make that team definitely uh better than they are right now with Will Shipley running the ball.
- 2:36SPEAKER_00: Yeah, I feel like he's got zero fantasy value if he goes to Seattle, regardless.
- 2:41SPEAKER_00: So I in a selfish way, I didn't like that either.
- 2:45SPEAKER_00: Because I mean what's best for you, Joe.
- 2:48SPEAKER_00: We want what's best for you.
- 2:50SPEAKER_00: But seriously, if he's gonna be on a team with four running backs, you know, what's he doing?
- 2:55SPEAKER_01: So yeah, yeah, no.
- 2:57SPEAKER_01: It it wouldn't make a good move for him, especially if he's trying to get a contract, he's just gonna rot away on the bench, you know, like he's only been out a year.
- 3:05SPEAKER_00: It's not like he's been out.
- 3:07SPEAKER_01: Two years.
- 3:08SPEAKER_00: Well, one and a half, right?
- 3:11SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 3:12SPEAKER_01: It was more like the whole season, man.
- 3:15SPEAKER_01: Like he missed that season.
- 3:16SPEAKER_01: He uh he started off with like four good games or something like that, and then he he got hurt for the rest of the season, and then he missed all the last season.
- 3:25SPEAKER_00: Um, no, wide receiver on the Bengals, T.
- 3:29SPEAKER_00: Higgins is considered day-to-day with a groin injury, and Jamar Chase is going through the concussion protocol, so keep an eye on those two.
- 3:36SPEAKER_01: He's gonna be out for at least a week, maybe two, because if he's already going through protocol, he's not gonna clear before this game day.
- 3:44SPEAKER_01: It's almost like automatic to miss at least one week.
- 3:47SPEAKER_00: And then I think they have a bye.
- 3:48SPEAKER_00: So uh it wouldn't it would be smart to actually sit them both.
- 3:52SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 3:54SPEAKER_00: Uh Ladd McConkey left the game after re-aggravating his foot injury, and DJ Moore left the game after re-aggravating his shoulder.
- 4:04SPEAKER_00: So there's two guys that went back a little too soon, and now we're paying the price.
- 4:10SPEAKER_00: And then the Chiefs wide receivers, Rushi Rice, suffered a minor hamstring injury.
- 4:15SPEAKER_00: Allegedly, it's minor.
- 4:17SPEAKER_00: Um, and unfortunately, on the opposite end of the spectrum, Taekwond Thornton is out for the season with a major ankle injury.
- 4:24SPEAKER_00: Uh, probably at a minimum ankle.
- 4:26SPEAKER_00: I'm sure there's some other ligaments that got torn up.
- 4:29SPEAKER_01: You know what's crazy is that he finally had his breakout game.
- 4:33SPEAKER_01: You know, Rasheed Rice was out.
- 4:34SPEAKER_01: They put Taekwond as a number one.
- 4:36SPEAKER_01: He delivered on two touchdowns that game.
- 4:39SPEAKER_01: And then he was about to break a third one, and dude hip-dropped, hip tackled him, hip drop tackled, and actually, like, he grabbed his waist and dropped his weight all on his his legs.
- 4:50SPEAKER_01: And I was like, what's crazy is that they give him a 15-yard penalty, but that doesn't stop the fact that the player just freaking probably ended not only this season, but possibly someone next season as well.
- 5:02SPEAKER_00: Yeah, and and the same thing with uh with Jamar Chase.
- 5:07SPEAKER_00: Like, I understand it was an accident, but that's the second time in the last two weeks we've seen someone just get ripped to the ground by their helmet.
- 5:15SPEAKER_00: There should be a penalty for that, not just 15 yards.
- 5:17SPEAKER_00: There should be a penalty.
- 5:18SPEAKER_01: Ejection, automatic ejection, like no matter what.
- 5:21SPEAKER_00: There should be a fine and ejection, so you just avoid that kind of stuff.
- 5:27SPEAKER_01: Anyone could see it was intentional, it wasn't like in good spirits or anything, it was just like the dude just playing dirty.
- 5:33SPEAKER_00: Well, you can tell by the way they react right after.
- 5:36SPEAKER_01: Exactly.
- 5:36SPEAKER_01: If they're guilty, they always show it.
- 5:39SPEAKER_01: Uh, no remorse.
- 5:40SPEAKER_01: Anyways.
- 5:41SPEAKER_00: Um, but also regarding the Chiefs, um, allegedly Tyreek Hill has been in contact with them.
- 5:47SPEAKER_00: So uh he's another one that I know a lot of people, I think they're getting overexcited about it.
- 5:52SPEAKER_00: I don't think he's gonna be playing it for at least another three weeks, maybe even four weeks, if he does get signed by the Chiefs.
- 6:00SPEAKER_00: But just something to think about that he's been in contact with them.
- 6:04SPEAKER_00: They have a history with him.
- 6:05SPEAKER_00: So it's possible with all the injuries uh that that he does actually sign with them.
- 6:10SPEAKER_01: I don't even think he's done like a lot of like strenuous activity.
- 6:15SPEAKER_01: Like I feel like he's only gonna be ready to start resuming football, football activity.
- 6:21SPEAKER_01: So, I mean, if I were looking at him from a fantasy standpoint, I mean Tyreek Hill only has that value to me for like late in the year, if anything, or like playoff stash for like real football.
- 6:33SPEAKER_01: So if you're looking at him from a fantasy standpoint, he's gonna eat up a bench spot for you from here for the next 12 weeks with probably giving you zero for every single one of those because he's not gonna be playing.
- 6:44SPEAKER_00: You gotta think about if he's taking up a spot on your bench, how much value is he gonna have long term?
- 6:50SPEAKER_00: And you and you have to be realistic with yourself.
- 6:52SPEAKER_00: I mean, if he's someone that's gonna give you 15 or 20, sure, you you keep him.
- 6:58SPEAKER_00: But like you said, I don't think he's been he is a physical freak, so I'm sure he can rebound very quickly, but I don't think he's been doing anything in the offseason.
- 7:06SPEAKER_00: Um you know, as I aside from chilling and and maybe healing, I don't think he's been doing anything as far as exercise and recovery, you know.
- 7:16SPEAKER_01: Yeah, no, I don't I didn't I'm I'm staying far away from that one.
- 7:20SPEAKER_00: Yeah, and maybe pick him up just to trade him to someone that that really likes him.
- 7:25SPEAKER_00: Um that's something that's something to think about.
- 7:28SPEAKER_00: Now quarterback Lamar Jackson is considered day-to-day, but it's all really up in the air.
- 7:34SPEAKER_00: They're saying it could be a few weeks.
- 7:36SPEAKER_00: I don't understand how you can say that in the same sentence that someone's day-to-day, but could miss a few weeks.
- 7:40SPEAKER_00: But I looked in multiple, I looked up multiple sources, and that's what they all say is could be day-to-day, could be a few weeks.
- 7:47SPEAKER_00: So whatever.
- 7:49SPEAKER_00: Um I I bet it's gonna be I bet he's gonna be out this week.
- 7:54SPEAKER_00: Let's just leave it at that.
- 7:55SPEAKER_00: But keep your eye on him.
- 7:56SPEAKER_00: If he plays, you start him.
- 7:58SPEAKER_00: And uh commander's quarterback, Mariota, is expected to miss some time after injuring his knee.
- 8:04SPEAKER_00: So, you know, he was playing pretty well.
- 8:06SPEAKER_00: That's a shame to see that happen because I actually like I liked what I saw.
- 8:11SPEAKER_01: Yeah, he was becoming uh he was becoming a formidable uh spot start for a quarterback, you know.
- 8:17SPEAKER_00: Oh, yeah, most definitely.
- 8:18SPEAKER_01: Well, one game, right?
- 8:20SPEAKER_01: One game.
- 8:21SPEAKER_00: And um, as far as I know, we we didn't see any tight ends get injured this week.
- 8:25SPEAKER_00: So that's a clean slate as far as the injuries.
- 8:28SPEAKER_00: Now let's get into our trade targets for this week.
- 8:38SPEAKER_01: For my trade target, now I'm gonna talk about a guy here that I think is severely undervalued, and you're gonna be able to get on the cheap.
- 8:46SPEAKER_01: Um, that guy is Justin Jefferson.
- 8:48SPEAKER_01: Right now, I'm checking with fantasy managers that need wins now or maybe frustrated.
- 8:54SPEAKER_01: Uh, I mean, he missed last week with an ankle injury, and and frustration can typically create a price that you're normally not gonna get.
- 9:02SPEAKER_01: He opened up the season with eight catches, 92 yards and two touchdowns.
- 9:06SPEAKER_01: I think he's gonna replicate that.
- 9:08SPEAKER_01: He hasn't played many quarters with Kyle, uh Kyle Murray, Kyler Murray.
- 9:13SPEAKER_01: I think he he's only played like maybe a total of two quarters with him.
- 9:17SPEAKER_01: So I expect them to actually be on the same page when they do play this week, and uh, he does play.
- 9:22SPEAKER_01: But if I'm buying, uh I'm only buying if I can afford uh to wait a few weeks because he does have this week he could possibly be out, and then he has to buy a week the next week.
- 9:34SPEAKER_01: So if you were to buy cheap at any time on Justin Jefferson, this is it.
- 9:39SPEAKER_01: It's either now to shit or get off the pot.
- 9:42SPEAKER_00: Yeah, you might be being might even be able to wait another week, but I would not risk it.
- 9:47SPEAKER_00: If you are in need of a wide receiver, I think you might as well strike now, too.
- 9:53SPEAKER_00: Now, for my first trade target, I want to talk about RJ Harvey.
- 9:59SPEAKER_00: He had 19 fantasy points last week against the Chargers, and he had a big day mostly due to his pass catching.
- 10:05SPEAKER_00: He had 10 targets and 10 catches, so he caught every one of them that was thrown to him.
- 10:10SPEAKER_00: And those were both career highs.
- 10:12SPEAKER_00: And we know that JK Dobbins is the rushing back and RJ Harvey is the receiving back, but that is still a lot of targets, regardless of his role in the offense or the game script.
- 10:23SPEAKER_00: And if you look at this season, his targets have increased every week, which is great to see.
- 10:29SPEAKER_00: But I'm not confident he reaches that kind of he reaches that kind of passing volume again this year.
- 10:35SPEAKER_00: I think this is a perfect time to trade him away to someone that's in need of a running back.
- 10:41SPEAKER_00: Show them the stats.
- 10:42SPEAKER_00: Hey, look, he's getting more targets every single week.
- 10:45SPEAKER_00: And here's the thing, I'd love to be wrong about this because I have him in two leagues, but unless Dobbins goes down, I don't see his usage getting to that level again anytime soon.
- 10:56SPEAKER_00: I think he's on a committee with a low ceiling, and after a big game like that, I think he's at a sell high point, probably the best of the season, and you should trade him away.
- 11:08SPEAKER_01: Okay, all right, I see.
- 11:11SPEAKER_01: Now for my next trade target, somebody that just really had his coming out party.
- 11:16SPEAKER_01: I mean, I'll be honest, his his discount just disappeared.
- 11:21SPEAKER_01: 14 catches, 192 yards, and two touchdowns ago.
- 11:25SPEAKER_01: That's Mr.
- 11:26SPEAKER_01: Tet McMillan.
- 11:27SPEAKER_01: You know, I've been high on him all year.
- 11:29SPEAKER_01: Even last year I've been high on him.
- 11:30SPEAKER_01: So it's good to see that talent finally translate to fruition, right?
- 11:35SPEAKER_01: Because of uh Bryce Young playing at a high level.
- 11:38SPEAKER_01: Uh that's allowed uh Tet to actually transcend.
- 11:42SPEAKER_01: And, you know, one thing I want to point out as well is is from watching his last tape, uh, the Panthers really started doing really good when they were running uh a lot of RPOs, right?
- 11:53SPEAKER_01: Like they did a lot of the first drive of the game, they did RPO and they would either hand it to Chuba or they would toss a slant to uh Tent and they could not stop it to save their lives.
- 12:04SPEAKER_01: So I think if the the Panthers continue to go on the trajectory that they are and feeding him the ball early to get them warmed up, I could see him being one of the more uh uh consistent top wide receiver ones in the league.
- 12:18SPEAKER_01: You know, I'm I'm talking about keeping it staying in the top five.
- 12:21SPEAKER_01: You know, that's the ceiling the guy has.
- 12:23SPEAKER_01: I mean, a floor is at great as well, and Carolina Panthers happen to be one of the most uh prolific offenses in the NFL this year.
- 12:32SPEAKER_01: So if you can get Tet, you're probably gonna pay a nice low price on him.
- 12:36SPEAKER_01: Don't overpay.
- 12:38SPEAKER_01: Uh, but if you can get him at a solid deal, I think he was worth making that move.
- 12:42SPEAKER_00: Oh, yeah, I completely agree with that.
- 12:44SPEAKER_00: I know you've always been high on Tet, and and I have been too, not quite as high as you are, but I actually thought like going into last uh last week, hey, if Coker's out, then you know Tet's gonna get more targets.
- 12:56SPEAKER_00: That's a that's a great play in daily fantasy or just you know season-long fantasy, he's gonna get a lot of targets, but I did not expect anything like that.
- 13:04SPEAKER_00: I I actually started laughing out loud watching the game, just like, are you kidding me?
- 13:08SPEAKER_00: This is non-stop, bro.
- 13:10SPEAKER_01: He hey, we games one, he had eight targets, game two, he had 10 targets.
- 13:16SPEAKER_01: This is game game four, and he had 14 receptions, bro.
- 13:20SPEAKER_01: Not even targets.
- 13:21SPEAKER_01: I think he had like 16 targets or something like that.
- 13:23SPEAKER_00: Yeah, it was absurd, but yeah, um, and that and that's the thing, man, is like you know, those other games coker was playing, and he still looked good.
- 13:31SPEAKER_00: So I don't think coker being back is gonna hurt his value at all.
- 13:35SPEAKER_01: I think coker has value too, you know, like watching him play, like that offense is enough to sustain two wide receivers.
- 13:42SPEAKER_00: Oh, yeah, and they've got to worry about Chuba too, who's been awesome.
- 13:46SPEAKER_00: So, all around, like when you're on a high-powered offense and you're the number one, yeah, it's gonna be a good season for you.
- 13:54SPEAKER_00: Oh, yeah.
- 13:56SPEAKER_00: Now, this next player I want to talk about, he's not a trade target because the chances are he's on your waiver wire.
- 14:03SPEAKER_00: Uh, but I think that Jacoby Brissett is a great spot start if you're struggling a quarterback, or if you have a quarterback that doesn't have a great matchup this week.
- 14:13SPEAKER_00: Last week wasn't great, so I doubt a lot of people are looking for him.
- 14:17SPEAKER_00: But we know he's a very capable quarterback.
- 14:20SPEAKER_00: He's proven himself over the past few years, and he gets the Lions this week.
- 14:24SPEAKER_00: We talk about the Lions a lot because they are an offensive powerhouse, but I really like the Cardinals' offense too, especially in this game.
- 14:31SPEAKER_00: The over-under is 53 and a half points, and it's gonna be a shootout.
- 14:36SPEAKER_00: He's gonna be feeding Trey McBride and Michael Wilson all day, just like he's been doing for the last month.
- 14:41SPEAKER_00: So pick them up, plug them in, and I guarantee you won't be disappointed.
- 14:45SPEAKER_00: And here's the thing we've all seen the depth at quarterback, so it doesn't really cross your mind if you have a solid quarterback, but take a look at your opponent's team because they might need a quarterback.
- 14:57SPEAKER_00: Snatch him just so they can't have him, because I guarantee you he's gonna have a big day.
- 15:04SPEAKER_01: Oh, yeah, I can see how that happens.
- 15:06SPEAKER_01: Um that's pretty good in perspective there.
- 15:09SPEAKER_01: Um, you know, it's good to let people know too what you know what to look for when it comes to identifying a trade partner because you always learned who to trade with by basically checking out everybody's team, right?
- 15:25SPEAKER_01: That's something I do.
- 15:26SPEAKER_01: I analyze your team, I see where you're the weakest at, I see where you have the most uh where the most strength at, and then that's where I try to uh take away from to build you up so I get what I want and you get what you need.
- 15:38SPEAKER_01: So it's kind of like a like an even exchange.
- 15:42SPEAKER_01: I'm not a fan of people that just try to like rake somebody over the coals, right?
- 15:46SPEAKER_01: There's always gonna be, as long as there's uh some give and take in a negotiation, I think that's where you come always come to a blockbuster or a really good agreement that can possibly save your fantasy season.
- 15:59SPEAKER_00: Yeah, a perfect example of that is the trade that Gendry and I made last week.
- 16:03SPEAKER_00: I needed a wide receiver, he needed a tight end.
- 16:06SPEAKER_00: So we did Kincaid for Ladd McConkey, worked out for both of us.
- 16:10SPEAKER_00: However, it didn't work out at all because Kincaid put up like one and a half points, and um Ladd McConkey re-aggravated his foot and got you zero.
- 16:19SPEAKER_00: But like that was a good trade on paper because he was in need, I was in need, we helped each other out, and it's pretty much even.
- 16:27SPEAKER_01: Yeah, they both scored the same.
- 16:29SPEAKER_00: So I mean we'll see long term how it works out, but but that was like a need-based trade for both of us.
- 16:35SPEAKER_00: Um, so hopefully it does work out over the next few weeks.
- 16:38SPEAKER_00: But yeah, I mean, that's the thing we've been talking to, where you know I in that same exact league, I'm still in need of a receiver because DJ Moore is injured and Ladd McConkey's injured, and those are two of my wide receivers, but my bench is pretty thin.
- 16:53SPEAKER_00: So I'm I'm scrapping right now, trying to find something that makes sense, and we might have to make a trade.
- 16:59SPEAKER_01: I mean, definitely, Joe, you want to keep that season alive.
- 17:02SPEAKER_01: I mean, you know, you gotta do what you gotta do.
- 17:04SPEAKER_01: That's why uh in my my Champions League, I I put my best player up for grabs, Justin Jefferson, because I was like, hey, I get two good starters for him.
- 17:14SPEAKER_01: I I like my chances of having two starters in case one goes down, you know, because my luck and probably a lot of people this year's luck has been they probably lost several players to injury because it has been a rough, rough year.
- 17:30SPEAKER_00: As as uh confident as I was last week for dodging the injury apocalypse, it it hit me hard in week four.
- 17:37SPEAKER_01: Shit, it's still hitting me.
- 17:38SPEAKER_01: I think one team my whole bench was uh on our inner now.
- 17:44SPEAKER_00: I look I looked at your bench.
- 17:46SPEAKER_00: You have so much red on that bench.
- 17:48SPEAKER_01: I do, but you know what?
- 17:50SPEAKER_01: I the good thing is my top guys are getting their their bye week early, and my my top guys happen to be Chuba and Ted McMillan, right?
- 17:59SPEAKER_01: So, you know, having that early bye week is great because now I know guaranteed I'm gonna have these two as long as they're healthy for the rest of the season, and I'm gonna get at least 20 to 25 points on a regular.
- 18:10SPEAKER_01: So I'm I'm very happy with those results.
- 18:13SPEAKER_00: Yeah, the two leagues where I have uh Jamar Chase, I'm actually three and one, so I'm okay with them waiting until after the bye to play him again because I want those guys to come back healthy.
- 18:22SPEAKER_00: Just like I'm fine if I'm fine if Ladd and DJ Moore sit this week because I'm three and one in that league too.
- 18:29SPEAKER_00: So if they sit and they get healthy and I go three and two, but then they come back strong, I'm okay with that.
- 18:37SPEAKER_01: Yeah, if they come back.
- 18:38SPEAKER_01: I I mean I'm not personally I'm not a fan of Ladd.
- 18:41SPEAKER_01: I think that Chargers' offense looks horrific.
- 18:44SPEAKER_01: The offensive line is terrible.
- 18:46SPEAKER_01: I'm selling high on all Chargers, I'm selling high on all Eagles, I'm selling high on anybody that look like a complete dump this weekend because there is a lot of injuries, and some people's season may have already been decided.
- 18:59SPEAKER_00: Uh the problem is I don't know if it's selling high anymore because I've been trying to get rid of Mamari and Hampton for two weeks and nobody wants him.
- 19:07SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 19:07SPEAKER_01: No, I get it.
- 19:08SPEAKER_01: I get it.
- 19:09SPEAKER_01: It's basically just getting what you could get.
- 19:11SPEAKER_01: Uh, you know, that could benefit your team, whether that be another skill position or what.
- 19:16SPEAKER_01: Um, you know, and I always like that's why I like packages too, because you find somebody that has a need and you're like, hey, you know, I'll give you this player and this player, and then they're more likely to take it because they get a two for one.
- 19:28SPEAKER_01: I mean, I always think that's a good exchange, you know.
- 19:31SPEAKER_01: Not everyone is gonna agree, but you know.
- 19:34SPEAKER_00: Well, it always depends on the players and your needs for sure.
- 19:37SPEAKER_01: But uh, I do have one final trade target.
- 19:40SPEAKER_01: Now, this is a good guy, you're gonna be able to buy at a discount because I feel like people think what happened to him was a fluke and not necessarily like consistent.
- 19:48SPEAKER_01: Uh, so Tony Pollard is my value trade target.
- 19:54SPEAKER_01: The guys look great.
- 19:55SPEAKER_01: Uh, so he only had seven carries in the opener, which was an anomaly.
- 20:00SPEAKER_01: They were behind early and they just had to throw, throw, throw.
- 20:03SPEAKER_01: But since then, he's been at 14 carries, 17, and 16.
- 20:08SPEAKER_01: So his workload has consistently improved.
- 20:11SPEAKER_01: We finally found his floor where we're looking at for touches.
- 20:15SPEAKER_01: So it's about 15 touches a game, which is what I need from an RB2 slash three, right?
- 20:20SPEAKER_01: So he could he also caught six passes over the past two games.
- 20:24SPEAKER_01: So they've been getting him a little bit more involved.
- 20:26SPEAKER_01: And if you watch that game, Tennessee has a really good offensive line.
- 20:30SPEAKER_01: Like their interior offensive line is big.
- 20:33SPEAKER_01: They invested high draft picks and they have some good tackles.
- 20:37SPEAKER_01: So I expect them to kind of get a really stable run game going.
- 20:41SPEAKER_01: And he's got a thousand yards rushing each of the last four seasons, right?
- 20:45SPEAKER_01: And those two of those seasons have been with Tennessee, and they were terrible seasons, right?
- 20:51SPEAKER_01: So that's useful production.
- 20:52SPEAKER_01: I think the price is still low on them.
- 20:55SPEAKER_01: Uh, you know, so I'm buying with for him for running back death with starting potential, you know.
- 21:02SPEAKER_01: So you basically pay for touches in your lineup, you would actually use.
- 21:06SPEAKER_01: So that's that's why I like Tony Pollard as my trade target and final trade target.
- 21:11SPEAKER_00: Yeah, I do like him.
- 21:13SPEAKER_00: I've I've always been I go back and forth on him a lot.
- 21:16SPEAKER_00: He is a hard player to read.
- 21:18SPEAKER_00: I mean, when he left Dallas, everyone was buzzing about him.
- 21:23SPEAKER_00: But then he had a really slow start.
- 21:25SPEAKER_00: Obviously, you're gonna struggle when you're on the Titans.
- 21:28SPEAKER_00: Um, it's it's never gonna be easy to get those points.
- 21:32SPEAKER_00: Um, and that's the difference between the Cowboys and the Titans is when you get to the red zone.
- 21:38SPEAKER_00: You know, it's a lot harder for Tennessee to get to the red zone.
- 21:41SPEAKER_00: But uh, I do like him overall.
- 21:43SPEAKER_00: He is an I think he's an underrated player because we've seen him pass a thousand yards over and over.
- 21:49SPEAKER_00: Uh he's not he's not very flashy, but he gets a job done.
- 22:01SPEAKER_00: Now let's get into our hot matchups.
- 22:09SPEAKER_00: I'm gonna kick things off with the Bills versus the Rams.
- 22:16SPEAKER_00: It's another game where the over-under is 53 and a half points, just like the Lions and the Cardinals.
- 22:24SPEAKER_00: And the Bills offense is incredible, as we know, and their defense is terrible, as we know.
- 22:30SPEAKER_00: And the Rams' offense is incredible, as we know, and their defense is pretty good too.
- 22:34SPEAKER_00: I mean, it's really good, but Josh Allen always finds a way.
- 22:38SPEAKER_00: So let's start with the Bills.
- 22:40SPEAKER_00: Josh Allen and James Cook, they're a must-start every single week.
- 22:44SPEAKER_00: But DJ Moore is dealing with a shoulder injury, and Dalton Kincaid has been a dud the last two weeks, despite a very strong start to the season.
- 22:52SPEAKER_00: You know, the first two weeks were amazing, the last two weeks were a disappointment.
- 22:55SPEAKER_00: Now, if DJ's out, I think Khalil Shakir or Dalton Kincaid could have a nice day, but it could be Keon Coleman.
- 23:02SPEAKER_00: You just don't know with that offense.
- 23:04SPEAKER_00: Uh, despite going for 116 yards and a touchdown in week four, I'm not starting Keon Coleman.
- 23:11SPEAKER_00: We've seen these flashes from him before, just like we've seen him from Khalil Shakir before, just like we've seen him from Dalton Kinkade before.
- 23:18SPEAKER_00: It's just the Josh Allen offense is he spreads the ball too much for you to determine who's gonna go off.
- 23:23SPEAKER_00: But I guarantee you, Josh Allen and James Cook are gonna have a big day.
- 23:29SPEAKER_00: I think they're gonna have a monster day.
- 23:31SPEAKER_00: So despite the other guys being a dart throw, they are must-starts, and there's no questions about it.
- 23:37SPEAKER_00: If DJ plays, I'm probably gonna start him, uh, but I'm lowering my expectations just because of that injury.
- 23:44SPEAKER_00: And I think this game is really just gonna be a lot of back and forth.
- 23:48SPEAKER_00: That's what exactly what you'd expect.
- 23:51SPEAKER_00: The rest of the team is very hard to predict because Allen spreads the ball, but you know he and James Cook are gonna be very involved.
- 23:58SPEAKER_00: So roll the dice on the other guys if you want, but obviously you start Josh Allen and obviously start James Cook without even thinking twice.
- 24:05SPEAKER_00: Just keep in mind with those other guys that that are a dart throw that the Rams do have a very good pass defense.
- 24:12SPEAKER_00: And again, the passing game is just unpredictable as hell with the Bills.
- 24:16SPEAKER_00: Now for the Rams, I'm betting on a bounce back week for Stafford and Devontae and more of what we saw from Puka and Kyron.
- 24:24SPEAKER_00: So they played the Eagles last week, who gave Stafford a hard time, but he still put up over 300 yards.
- 24:29SPEAKER_00: What brought him down was two interceptions and no touchdowns.
- 24:32SPEAKER_00: That isn't going to happen against the Bills.
- 24:35SPEAKER_00: Devontae had a down week, but he still finished with nine targets, and he also dropped a pass in the end zone.
- 24:41SPEAKER_00: So his outcome could have been a lot different if he caught that ball.
- 24:44SPEAKER_00: That is very rare for him to drop the ball, and I expect a bounce back from him as well.
- 24:50SPEAKER_00: Uh Puka came back strong and shut down everyone who's saying, hey, he might be going on IR.
- 24:55SPEAKER_00: You know, he put that to bed, no worries there.
- 24:58SPEAKER_00: And Kyron was awesome too, and he kind of shut down the idea that Blake Korham was going to take over.
- 25:02SPEAKER_00: We have been hearing that for years, but Blake Quorum's a good player.
- 25:06SPEAKER_00: You know, we've been hearing that with good reason.
- 25:08SPEAKER_00: He's a good player.
- 25:09SPEAKER_00: Those touches were kind of 50-50 for a while.
- 25:11SPEAKER_00: But I think you should expect more of the same from Kyron.
- 25:14SPEAKER_00: He's their Bell Cal, he's their goal line guy.
- 25:17SPEAKER_00: So I believe that Stafford, Devontae Puka, and Kyron are all very strong starts this week, and I would not hesitate on any of them.
- 25:24SPEAKER_00: Uh, obviously, I have no idea what's going on with the tight ends.
- 25:27SPEAKER_00: Um, and I wouldn't even consider any of them until we have a better idea because we can rely on the guys like Devontae, Puka, and Kyron.
- 25:34SPEAKER_00: Don't think about the tight ends, but start all those guys.
- 25:37SPEAKER_00: And and again, I would start Stafford too.
- 25:41SPEAKER_01: Yeah, I mean, definitely those are two high-powered NFL offenses, you know, with um, you know, a lot of potential there.
- 25:50SPEAKER_01: Sometimes, you know, uh home running ability on defense, but I think both teams need to go out there and prove that they can win.
- 25:58SPEAKER_01: I think the Bills are just coming off a loss, right?
- 26:00SPEAKER_01: They lost to the Patriots.
- 26:02SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 26:03SPEAKER_01: Um, so they're gonna need a bounce back game.
- 26:05SPEAKER_01: And then obviously with the Rams, you know, they're coming off that that fourth quarter win against the Eagles, so they are cut riding that high.
- 26:12SPEAKER_01: And what I like about the Rams are they do feed the hot hand.
- 26:16SPEAKER_01: So, you know, definitely high scoring offenses on both sides.
- 26:20SPEAKER_01: I'm staying far away from, you know, outside of the guys that drive the offenses, I'm staying far away from the the role players because they're just really you're never gonna be able to know who's gonna be the guy that day.
- 26:33SPEAKER_00: Yeah, exactly.
- 26:35SPEAKER_01: Now for my hot matchup, I actually have uh the Seahawks versus the Niners.
- 26:41SPEAKER_01: So actually, Niners versus Seahawks.
- 26:44SPEAKER_01: I think they're in San Francisco for this one.
- 26:46SPEAKER_01: Um I think they're in Seattle for this one.
- 26:49SPEAKER_01: Oh, they're in Seattle, so that's gonna give an edge to Seattle.
- 26:52SPEAKER_01: So these are both teams that have excellent defenses.
- 26:55SPEAKER_01: I know historically when uh divisional teams meet, especially these two teams, they tend to hold each other to really low score of uh affairs, but I think that this one is gonna be a little bit different because they have something to prove.
- 27:09SPEAKER_01: Uh starting off on the Seattle side, you can't start talking about Seattle without talking about the engine that could, and that's uh Jackson Smith Najigba.
- 27:20SPEAKER_01: I mean, the guy, even last week, he was uh he had 76 yards receiving, and uh and I think Sam Darnold threw for 168 yards.
- 27:29SPEAKER_01: So the guy was half of his whole yards on a day that no one did anything.
- 27:35SPEAKER_01: So basically that tells you that you know, when the offense does something, my guy gets paid, right?
- 27:40SPEAKER_01: So he's gonna go out there, he's gonna get his looks.
- 27:43SPEAKER_01: So I love that.
- 27:44SPEAKER_01: Obviously, you know, another thing as well was I liked uh Emmanuel Wilson, right?
- 27:49SPEAKER_01: He was somebody that I thought was a dark horse heading into the season.
- 27:53SPEAKER_01: He got buried on the death chart, Rice Seattle went out, and they got uh Jadarian Price in the draft.
- 28:00SPEAKER_01: You know, they still have Zach Charbonnet, and and it just was something that you didn't even know when he was ever gonna get playing time.
- 28:07SPEAKER_01: But when the guy did, I mean, he had uh 21 carries, 120 total yards, so he got about uh he had some receiving yards as well.
- 28:17SPEAKER_01: I want to say about 30-something receiving yards, and he had two total touchdowns.
- 28:22SPEAKER_01: So the guy had an amazing day.
- 28:24SPEAKER_01: Um, he's he's somebody that's gonna continue to have it.
- 28:27SPEAKER_01: Even though the Niners are good against the run, I don't think they're they're good as they have been historically.
- 28:32SPEAKER_01: So Seattle's gonna punch him in the mouth, they're gonna punch him back because you can't talk about San Fran without talking about the whole offense.
- 28:39SPEAKER_01: I mean, Brock Purdy has been lights out top three quarterback this year.
- 28:43SPEAKER_01: He leads uh the league with touchdown passes.
- 28:46SPEAKER_01: Um, I mean, George Kittle, he's showing you why he's still a threat when healthy.
- 28:51SPEAKER_01: He's been injured the last couple years, but he ended up having that 56-yard reception that everybody's talking about.
- 28:57SPEAKER_01: He had over 19.5 miles per hour.
- 29:00SPEAKER_01: They're saying that he was one of the fastest NFL players in a game this season.
- 29:04SPEAKER_01: And that guy is not known for that, you know?
- 29:07SPEAKER_01: So it was pretty cool to see.
- 29:08SPEAKER_00: Certainly doesn't look like it when you see it from a distance, you know.
- 29:11SPEAKER_01: Yeah, yeah, definitely.
- 29:13SPEAKER_01: And then, of course, you know, you can't not talk about the run game, right?
- 29:16SPEAKER_01: CMC is gonna eat, he's gonna get out there, he's gonna get his sturdy touches, whether it be 20 rushes, 10 receptions, or 25-5, he's gonna get at least his sturdy.
- 29:26SPEAKER_01: And Seattle does play really strongly against the run.
- 29:29SPEAKER_01: They have been really good overall this year, but I think they're susceptible to the pass.
- 29:35SPEAKER_01: So as long as uh Sam Fran commits to the run, which they always will when you have CMC, they're gonna be able to set themselves up for a high score in a fair.
- 29:44SPEAKER_01: So I'm I'm gonna take those guys.
- 29:46SPEAKER_01: I'm gonna enjoy it.
- 29:47SPEAKER_01: Mike Evans, I'm gonna play, I'm gonna start Debo Samuel, who's been one of the most underrated like additions this year.
- 29:55SPEAKER_01: Not a surprise to me because I had him created pretty high in every year.
- 29:58SPEAKER_01: And I'm like, man, this guy's a wide receiver too going in the freaking eighth round.
- 30:04SPEAKER_01: Get out of here.
- 30:05SPEAKER_01: But uh, anyways, I had enough foresight to draft him in all my leagues.
- 30:08SPEAKER_01: I'm I'm reaping the benefits, right?
- 30:10SPEAKER_00: Um, but what a blessing for him to be back on San Francisco, though, you know?
- 30:15SPEAKER_01: Yeah, he he definitely knew he needed to get back to his schematic fit because Washington wanted him to do something differently than really he was capable of doing.
- 30:24SPEAKER_01: So it just didn't work out for him.
- 30:26SPEAKER_01: But you know, everything happens for a reason.
- 30:29SPEAKER_01: A lot of guys, Dre Greenlaw ended up going back to San Fran, you know, so there was guys that left that came back.
- 30:35SPEAKER_01: So I, you know, overall, I'm I'm excited to see the game.
- 30:38SPEAKER_01: It's gonna be high scoring, and you know, that that's how I feel about it.
- 30:43SPEAKER_00: Yeah, that's the third game I've seen.
- 30:45SPEAKER_00: That's 53 and a half points.
- 30:47SPEAKER_00: The Niners look unstoppable right now, four and oh.
- 30:50SPEAKER_00: Um, Kittle's the number two tight end in fantasy, and you know, that whole offense, I it's just it's great because they've been battling injuries for the last two years, and their offense has been completely depleted and then revamped, and it's working, it's somehow working very well.
- 31:07SPEAKER_00: So that's awesome.
- 31:08SPEAKER_00: And I mean, they're 4-0 even against tough defenses like the Broncos and the Rams.
- 31:13SPEAKER_00: So I'm I'm not really worried about Seattle.
- 31:15SPEAKER_00: I know Seattle's a tough team, but I think this is gonna be a high-scoring game, too, and so does Vegas.
- 31:21SPEAKER_00: So you got to go with the odds there.
- 31:23SPEAKER_00: I even think Darnold's gonna have a big day.
- 31:26SPEAKER_00: I mean, last week was kind of disappointing, um, but he's a pretty safe quarterback.
- 31:31SPEAKER_00: He's he's gonna give you a safe floor, and in a game like this, I could see that being 25, you know.
- 31:36SPEAKER_00: So I I actually like him and JSN too.
- 31:39SPEAKER_00: But of but of course, the Niners, you got Evans, Kittle, CMC, Debo, Purdy.
- 31:46SPEAKER_00: I mean, you are locked and loaded.
- 31:48SPEAKER_01: I'm not starting Darnell with any confidence by any means.
- 31:51SPEAKER_01: Like I that's somebody I'm not I would rather take other players.
- 31:54SPEAKER_00: Uh yeah, there's definitely other players, but I'm saying if you're desperate, there's a chance he's like rostered in 50% of leagues.
- 31:59SPEAKER_00: There's a chance he's on your wire if you're desperate and you need someone as a fill-in.
- 32:03SPEAKER_00: I think this is a good week for him.
- 32:04SPEAKER_00: And um, dude, I hate to say it, but like I I had Emmanuel on my radar all year last season, and I kind of forgot about him this year.
- 32:14SPEAKER_00: So when he was the fill-in, I was like, it like dawned on me.
- 32:18SPEAKER_00: I forgot he was on Seattle.
- 32:20SPEAKER_00: Um but yeah, that's that's great to see too.
- 32:23SPEAKER_00: And you know, their backfield's kind of a mess, but this week we know it's gonna be Emmanuel Wilson.
- 32:35SPEAKER_00: Let's get into our cold calls.
- 32:45SPEAKER_00: So for my cold call, I have the Broncos versus the Chargers.
- 32:52SPEAKER_00: These teams were both supposed to be all around really solid, both offense and defense.
- 32:58SPEAKER_00: And we haven't seen that at all this year.
- 33:01SPEAKER_00: No consistent running game from either team, no consistent passing game from either team.
- 33:06SPEAKER_00: Two massive disappointments, a quarterback between Bo Nicks and Justin Herbert.
- 33:10SPEAKER_00: Bo Nicks has had one good game over the first month of the season, and Herbert has not had any good games.
- 33:17SPEAKER_00: So they shouldn't even be on your bench, in my opinion.
- 33:20SPEAKER_00: I think they should both be on waivers.
- 33:22SPEAKER_00: And what running backs can you start?
- 33:23SPEAKER_00: As I mentioned earlier, I'm trying to trade Amarian Hampton and nobody wants him.
- 33:27SPEAKER_00: You know, he's a second-round pick that has been a total letdown.
- 33:30SPEAKER_00: And Keaton Mitchell's been taking carries away from him, but you can't start him either.
- 33:34SPEAKER_00: J.K.
- 33:35SPEAKER_00: Dobbins and RJ Harvey are in a committee.
- 33:37SPEAKER_00: Hampton and Harvey might get you 10 to 12 points, which is a low-end flex play.
- 33:41SPEAKER_00: And then Keaton averages seven and a half points a game, and Dobbins is averaging five points a game.
- 33:45SPEAKER_00: So, like none of those are people you can start.
- 33:48SPEAKER_00: And then what wide receivers do you have?
- 33:50SPEAKER_00: An injured lad McConkey.
- 33:52SPEAKER_00: Um, he's had one good game, and that was week one.
- 33:55SPEAKER_00: And we don't know his status is going to be up in the air probably this week and next week.
- 34:00SPEAKER_00: And then Waddle, he had a terrible week one, a great week two, a bad week three, and a good week four.
- 34:06SPEAKER_00: So I just don't know what to expect with him either.
- 34:08SPEAKER_00: And especially not in this game.
- 34:11SPEAKER_00: There really aren't any other players worth mentioning.
- 34:13SPEAKER_00: I wouldn't play anyone on these teams unless I'm desperate and have no other option than Ladd or Waddle.
- 34:19SPEAKER_00: But again, you know, Ladd's up in the air.
- 34:21SPEAKER_00: And Waddle, he's he's just so hard to read.
- 34:25SPEAKER_00: And this is every year with Waddle.
- 34:27SPEAKER_00: You know, sometimes it's injuries, sometimes it's just inconsistent play.
- 34:31SPEAKER_00: But I would probably start Waddle if I had him, um, but not with confidence.
- 34:38SPEAKER_01: Yeah, I mean, uh, the one thing that those two teams have in common is they're both severely inconsistent.
- 34:44SPEAKER_01: I mean, they've been having such a rough year.
- 34:47SPEAKER_01: Uh, I mean, Chargers in general have been struggling offensive line-wise and and also play calling and just find a rhythm.
- 34:55SPEAKER_01: Quentin Johnson is somebody I thought would be a really good flex, you know, uh, throughout the year.
- 35:00SPEAKER_01: He hasn't done anything even with uh, you know, uh Lab McConkey being out, you know, and then uh on the other side, you know, Bo Nicks and the Broncos, they're just probably one of the more unpredictable offenses in the entire league.
- 35:14SPEAKER_01: Uh, I mean, you were talking about these guys fighting for touches.
- 35:18SPEAKER_01: Well, Tyler Bade was added to that rotation last week.
- 35:22SPEAKER_01: He had a rushing touchdown, and he had like 10 touches altogether.
- 35:26SPEAKER_01: So they're they're running one of the most committee backfields I've ever seen, and that's without, you know, uh what's his Jonah Coleman still being on IR.
- 35:35SPEAKER_01: So once he comes back, it's gonna be even more convoluted.
- 35:38SPEAKER_01: And I think the guys that are gonna be on the outside looking in will be J.K.
- 35:42SPEAKER_01: Dobbins and uh Tyler Bidet.
- 35:45SPEAKER_01: So outside of that, it's gonna be Tyler or excuse me, uh RJ Harvey and and and Jonah Coleman.
- 35:56SPEAKER_00: Time will tell, but uh I don't want to do it, I don't want anything to do with it right now.
- 36:03SPEAKER_01: Yeah, no, hell no.
- 36:05SPEAKER_01: Now for my cold call, it didn't take me long.
- 36:08SPEAKER_01: As soon as this one, I was scanning down the games.
- 36:10SPEAKER_01: I caught eyes on this one.
- 36:12SPEAKER_01: I was like, that's it.
- 36:13SPEAKER_01: That's gonna be the worst game of the week.
- 36:16SPEAKER_01: All right, that's gonna be the Browns versus the Jets.
- 36:20SPEAKER_01: All right, we call this the Brownie Bowl.
- 36:23SPEAKER_01: So last week, Quinshawn Junkins got his touchdown, you know, but so far for the year, he's had 59 carries for 77 yards.
- 36:31SPEAKER_01: He's averaging three yards a carri right now.
- 36:34SPEAKER_01: So that's not sustainable for like winning games.
- 36:36SPEAKER_01: He's not gonna, you know, unless he's scoring touchdowns, he's really not gonna give you much production.
- 36:42SPEAKER_01: Um, and that's a pretty thin plan if you need a big game, right?
- 36:46SPEAKER_01: So he's not somebody that you're gonna count on.
- 36:48SPEAKER_01: Um now, as far as wide receivers, I think they are solid plays.
- 36:53SPEAKER_01: Um you know, for KC Concepción and Denzel Boston, I think they're solid plays, but that's if you're desperate at the flex position, right?
- 37:03SPEAKER_01: Other than that, you're not gonna play anybody from the Browns really with any confidence.
- 37:07SPEAKER_01: And then going over to the Jets with Brees Hall being out, I don't really like Braylon Allen like that.
- 37:13SPEAKER_01: You know, he kind of showed you last game, he wasn't he's not that dude.
- 37:17SPEAKER_01: He's a complimentary back, if anything.
- 37:19SPEAKER_01: So unless he has a really big transcendence where he could get better, you know, I can see that Jets offense struggling with the exception of one person, that would be Garrett Wilson.
- 37:30SPEAKER_01: Right.
- 37:30SPEAKER_01: Garrett Wilson, he's the only player I'm gonna I'm gonna start without any questions on any lineup any given week, right?
- 37:38SPEAKER_01: Even with the offense struggling over him.
- 37:40SPEAKER_01: And then on the other side for Cleveland, Harold Fannon is a uh, you know, the only guy that I would actually start with confidence on that side.
- 37:48SPEAKER_01: He's got three touchdowns in the last two games or something like that.
- 37:51SPEAKER_00: So uh yeah, I was gonna mention Fannon because I I think he's a good start.
- 37:55SPEAKER_00: And um Judkins, um man, I'm so against Judkins.
- 38:00SPEAKER_01: I I see people being high on him.
- 38:02SPEAKER_01: No, no.
- 38:03SPEAKER_01: His ADP just didn't matches his struggles, and I and I was right on the money about that.
- 38:08SPEAKER_00: Yeah, you and I you and I were both low much lower than the consensus on him.
- 38:14SPEAKER_00: I I didn't understand it because he's on the Cleveland Browns.
- 38:18SPEAKER_00: I did not understand it at all.
- 38:19SPEAKER_00: I know he's a good player, but you have to acknowledge the reality of the situation.
- 38:23SPEAKER_01: If you have no QB, man, you're not gonna have a good running game.
- 38:27SPEAKER_01: Like it's directly correlated.
- 38:30SPEAKER_00: You know, it's like it's why I was low on Brees Hall.
- 38:32SPEAKER_00: If you're not gonna be making it to the end zone, those and honestly, I hate to say this, but I was the same about Ashton Genty.
- 38:39SPEAKER_00: But the the thing is, the Raiders have surprised everybody, and Kirk Cousins is looking like the man he was five years ago, ten years ago, actually, more like ten.
- 38:48SPEAKER_01: Well, working with Tom Brady, he gave him a little taste of that fountain of youth, man.
- 38:52SPEAKER_00: Dude, I don't know what it is, but I love it because I'm a fan of Kirk Cousins.
- 38:55SPEAKER_00: But yeah, anyway, getting back to the game, the Jets and the Browns, that is gonna be an ugly game, and I do think Braylon Allen could be like a good flex play.
- 39:06SPEAKER_00: Um and I and I obviously Garrett Wilson's gonna uh gonna be a guy you start.
- 39:12SPEAKER_00: Um I actually have Denzel Boston in um in a flex spot for for one of my teams as well.
- 39:20SPEAKER_00: But and Casey Conception, these are guys where you're like, Yeah, I'll start them, but it's not with confidence.
- 39:27SPEAKER_00: It's certainly not with like a big ceiling, you know.
- 39:30SPEAKER_00: So they're gonna give you a low floor and a low ceiling.
- 39:32SPEAKER_00: You just have to know what you're getting into with that game.
- 39:36SPEAKER_01: Yeah, not a lot of production.
- 39:38SPEAKER_00: Yeah, but I do like Fannon and I do like uh Garrett Wilson.
- 39:44SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 39:49SPEAKER_01: God damn it.
- 39:51SPEAKER_01: What is that?
- 39:52SPEAKER_00: That's our shit calls.
- 40:00SPEAKER_01: Now, I'm gonna lead off for the shit call.
- 40:03SPEAKER_01: Right.
- 40:04SPEAKER_01: Uh, so my shit call starring David Montgomery this week.
- 40:09SPEAKER_01: Is week one is carrying his reputation, right?
- 40:12SPEAKER_01: The guy, I've been staring at him because of what he did once, not what he's doing consistently.
- 40:18SPEAKER_01: You know what he's done in the past four games?
- 40:20SPEAKER_01: 127 rushing yards, 2.7 yards per carry, and three touchdowns, right?
- 40:27SPEAKER_01: So we're looking at it like, hey, that was a big game, but that's been it.
- 40:31SPEAKER_00: Uh how much yeah, how much of that production was in week one over the last month?
- 40:36SPEAKER_01: I mean, all of it, but pretty much 90% of that sample size was from week one.
- 40:40SPEAKER_01: And then, you know, against Dallas, 10 carries for 24 yards.
- 40:44SPEAKER_01: He takes a lateral down to the six, and I'm like, he's finally getting somewhere.
- 40:50SPEAKER_01: He's gonna get an end zone.
- 40:51SPEAKER_01: What do they do?
- 40:52SPEAKER_01: They put in fucking Woody Marks.
- 40:55SPEAKER_01: So that that's that's a pattern.
- 40:57SPEAKER_01: Yeah, that tells me I'm like, yo, Houston is struggling in the run game because they're doing this ass backwards.
- 41:04SPEAKER_01: Your bell cow is Montgomery, you know, downs one and two, and then third down is Woody Marks, right?
- 41:12SPEAKER_01: That's what you that's what you do.
- 41:14SPEAKER_01: But but basically, my my whole disappointment has been I've been starting him, and at this point this week I have no choice but to start him again, and I'm probably gonna go back and forth between him and Woody Marks this week on who I'm gonna play.
- 41:28SPEAKER_00: Well, dude, it's it's frustrating because we saw what Montgomery did in Detroit, and then you know, we were getting frustrated, not frustrated because we love Dave Montgomery and we love Jameer Gibbs, but there are times when we get frustrated because Jameer Gibbs would get the ball all the way up to the uh end zone, and then Montgomery would vulture that touchdown.
- 41:48SPEAKER_00: That's just the guy he is, and then all of a sudden he gets to Houston.
- 41:52SPEAKER_01: He's getting vultured, yeah.
- 41:54SPEAKER_00: Make it make sense.
- 41:55SPEAKER_00: Poetic justice.
- 41:57SPEAKER_00: Yeah, man, for real.
- 41:58SPEAKER_00: But it doesn't make a lot of sense.
- 42:00SPEAKER_00: Uh, after week one, a lot of people were saying sell high, and and honestly, I thought, hey, if I had Montgomery, I would not sell him, I'd hold on to him.
- 42:09SPEAKER_00: This is what I expected.
- 42:11SPEAKER_01: Luckily, I had a low risk, high reward.
- 42:14SPEAKER_01: Yeah, so I traded George Pickens for him, whose George Pickens has been struggling.
- 42:19SPEAKER_01: Um, so I was able to get a pretty good return because I got them both in the same, they both went in the same round.
- 42:25SPEAKER_01: But uh now I'm feeling like Pickens might be the better end of the deal.
- 42:29SPEAKER_00: I think long-term Pickens will be, but yeah, he's been kind of a letdown too.
- 42:34SPEAKER_00: He's still getting plenty of volume though.
- 42:36SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 42:36SPEAKER_00: Now for my shit call, I had the hot matchup as the Bengals and the Jags, and I didn't give the credit those teams deserve for their defense.
- 42:46SPEAKER_00: I mean, I did, but I didn't.
- 42:48SPEAKER_00: I I said, yeah, they have a really good defense.
- 42:51SPEAKER_00: Both teams have a really good defense, but the offense is going to be overwhelming.
- 42:55SPEAKER_00: Uh, and they only combined for 39 points, and you know, some of that could be blamed on injuries, but the defense for both teams played really well.
- 43:04SPEAKER_00: Parker Washington was shut down, Tootin gave you another below average game, and Trevor Lawrence only had one touchdown.
- 43:11SPEAKER_00: Jamar went down with a concussion, Joe Burrow and Chase Brown had a slow start.
- 43:15SPEAKER_00: They did pick it up in the second half, but that first half was tough to watch.
- 43:19SPEAKER_00: And T.
- 43:20SPEAKER_00: Higgins was incredible, but injured his ankle towards the end of the game, so that was also tough.
- 43:25SPEAKER_00: And altogether, the offense for both teams was struggling for most of the game, and I just expected a lot more.
- 43:32SPEAKER_00: So that was my hot matchup.
- 43:33SPEAKER_00: I expected that to be closer to 50 or 55 points, not 39.
- 43:41SPEAKER_01: Yeah, that was a pretty shitty call, Joe.
- 43:44SPEAKER_00: Stepped right in it.
- 43:49SPEAKER_01: Uh, I guess it's that time, right?
- 43:51SPEAKER_01: It's the end of the show.
- 43:53SPEAKER_01: Uh, you know, I we want to let you guys know we appreciate all the support you guys have given us.

- 44:25SPEAKER_00: We're working on our content.
- 44:27SPEAKER_00: Um, we're adding more segments this year rather than uh, you know, doing just the full episode and hot matchups.

- 44:55SPEAKER_01: But if you want to just share our videos and tell your friends about us, we would appreciate that, guys.
