- 0:00Speaker 1: Much more Mark. Mark Simone. Now 9 till noon weekdays.
- 0:06Speaker 1: On 710WOR. Hey, so the Nobel Peace Prize was awarded today.
- 0:14Speaker 1: Now this Nobel Prize is one of the silliest. It
- 0:17Speaker 1: would be a good thing if it were legitimate, but
- 0:19Speaker 1: it's the most biased left-wing nonsense in the world. You
- 0:24Speaker 1: remember Obama was given a Nobel Peace Prize. The day
- 0:28Speaker 1: he got elected, he hadn't even started yet. He hadn't
- 0:30Speaker 1: even done anything. It wasn't even possible for him to
- 0:32Speaker 1: do anything. He just got elected. He hadn't taken office.
- 0:35Speaker 1: Nobel Peace Prize.
- 0:36Speaker 2: Why?
- 0:36Speaker 1: He's a Democrat. Now, President Trump loves tooting his own horn.
- 0:42Speaker 1: And there he was earlier this week saying, you know,
- 0:46Speaker 1: I settled seven wars. I got all the hostages back.
- 0:50Speaker 1: What more do you have to do to get a
- 0:52Speaker 1: Nobel Prize? Well, you got to not be a Republican.
- 0:54Speaker 1: You have to not be a conservative. They should just
- 0:56Speaker 1: call it the Democratic Peace Prize. And what they yet
- 0:59Speaker 1: like to do, Trump makes a good case there. He
- 1:02Speaker 1: has settled a bunch of wars. He did get all
- 1:05Speaker 1: the hostages released. He did free a couple of countries
- 1:09Speaker 1: from evil dictators, so normally that would get you a
- 1:12Speaker 1: Nobel Peace, but no, no, no. So they awarded it today,
- 1:16Speaker 1: like they usually do in these cases, to an absolutely
- 1:20Speaker 1: useless person who's done absolutely nothing concrete about anything. She
- 1:24Speaker 1: looks like a very nice woman, but The winner of
- 1:28Speaker 1: the Nobel Peace Prize is the UN Human Rights Chief,
- 1:32Speaker 1: Navi Pillay. She's a judge on the International Court of Justice. Ooh,
- 1:39Speaker 1: the International Court of Justice. Now, that's one of those fake,
- 1:42Speaker 1: made-up courts that has no authority, no power. It doesn't
- 1:46Speaker 1: actually do anything. She's South African-born. She's 85 years old.
- 1:51Speaker 1: She's recognized for her efforts to promote peace. Well, I
- 1:56Speaker 1: will give her credit for that. She has done everything
- 1:59Speaker 1: she can to promote peace. And unfortunately, there's nothing she
- 2:03Speaker 1: can do about it. And she's never actually gotten anything done.
- 2:07Speaker 1: But the Nobel Committee says her work is a source
- 2:10Speaker 1: of hope and inspiration to all those who seek to
- 2:14Speaker 1: bring out a more peaceful world. But again, she's never
- 2:17Speaker 1: actually accomplished anything. Not that she hasn't tried. She just
- 2:21Speaker 1: has no power to do anything. except write some poems
- 2:25Speaker 1: and make a speech at the U.N. Outside of that,
- 2:27Speaker 1: she's never actually gotten any peace anywhere, but she's the
- 2:31Speaker 1: Nobel Peace Prize winner. Anyway, let's take some calls. Let's
- 2:35Speaker 1: go to Sal in Yonkers. Sal, how are you doing?
- 2:38Speaker 3: Hi, Mark.
- 2:41Speaker 4: Why can't Bruce Blakeman force News 1 to simulcast the
- 2:47Speaker 4: debate on all the News 12s throughout New York State.
- 2:50Speaker 1: Well, because nobody sees the News 12s either. Nobody sees those.
- 2:54Speaker 1: The total of New York One plus News 12 comes
- 2:58Speaker 1: to about 42 viewers. That's it. Nobody sees them. That's
- 3:03Speaker 1: the answer. Now, what he should do, he'll be with
- 3:06Speaker 1: us later in the show. I mean, I don't know.
- 3:08Speaker 1: There's nothing you can do. I guess he already has.
- 3:11Speaker 1: You demand that you do a debate on a real
- 3:13Speaker 1: TV station. You know... They've both been approached by Channel 2,
- 3:17Speaker 1: Channel 4, Channel 7 to do debates. Hochul has turned
- 3:22Speaker 1: them all down, refuses to do it. This is with
- 3:25Speaker 1: all the Democrats, Letitia James and the rest. They'll only
- 3:28Speaker 1: do New York 1 because nobody sees it. And it's
- 3:32Speaker 1: very biased, very left-wing. That's the only place Democrats will debate.
- 3:37Speaker 1: Let's go to Dennis in Long Island. Dennis, how are
- 3:40Speaker 1: you doing?
- 3:42Speaker 4: I'm well, Mark. Good morning to you. So Obama is
- 3:45Speaker 4: going into campaign for Abdul El-Sayed. My comment is, I
- 3:49Speaker 4: guess it just tells you all you need to know
- 3:52Speaker 4: about Obama and where his loyalties lie.
- 3:56Speaker 1: Well, it's to Democrats, and he loves the radical Democrats.
- 3:59Speaker 1: But here's the thing. It's kind of an insult to El-Sayed. Normally,
- 4:04Speaker 1: Obama would just come and do a rally with you.
- 4:09Speaker 1: He'd get up there. He's a great talker, that Obama.
- 4:11Speaker 1: He'd get up there with Al-Sayed, endorse him, make a
- 4:15Speaker 1: big pitch. But apparently Obama knows this Al-Sayed is a dirty,
- 4:20Speaker 1: creepy guy. So he's asked the other candidates to come,
- 4:25Speaker 1: the candidate for governor, the candidate for Congress, all the other,
- 4:28Speaker 1: he wants all the other candidates there. And he's bringing
- 4:31Speaker 1: some other Democrats to be with him. So it'll be
- 4:33Speaker 1: like a group thing. It'll not look like it's him
- 4:36Speaker 1: and Al-Sayed together. So he's trying to distance himself, even
- 4:42Speaker 1: in the rally where he's supposed to be supporting Al-Sayed.
- 4:45Speaker 1: Even there, he's trying to give himself cover 12 different
- 4:47Speaker 1: ways for being anywhere near Al-Sayed. Let's go to Mike
- 4:52Speaker 1: in Florida. Mike, how are you doing?
- 4:54Speaker 3: Good morning, Mark.
- 4:56Speaker 1: Yes, Mike.
- 4:58Speaker 3: I always appreciate the foul, the faux indignation by guys
- 5:02Speaker 3: like Mondani as he's talking about the shooting incident.
- 5:06Speaker 1: I think that was real. I think that he was
- 5:09Speaker 1: really in a rage. You know, when you come and
- 5:11Speaker 1: kill one of our criminals. that's his thing, defending these criminals.
- 5:16Speaker 1: You come and go after one of our criminals, he
- 5:17Speaker 1: can go into a rage.
- 5:18Speaker 3: Well, you're right. The phone part I'm talking about is
- 5:22Speaker 3: how he's outraged that they were in plain clothes and
- 5:24Speaker 3: they put him in an unlocked car. Well, his security
- 5:27Speaker 3: detail is in plain clothes. And the police.
- 5:30Speaker 1: Department, the NYPD... He has a slight point. The ICE
- 5:34Speaker 1: agents apparently were wearing construction worker kind of clothes, so
- 5:38Speaker 1: they look like construction workers.
- 5:40Speaker 2: Undercover.
- 5:41Speaker 1: Okay, but the NYPD undercover detail that protects Mamdani, Helen
- 5:46Speaker 1: Keller could tell those are cops. They pull up in
- 5:50Speaker 1: these black SUVs. They've got 47 antennas on top. They've
- 5:54Speaker 1: got the cop suits. They've got the earphones. You could
- 5:56Speaker 1: tell they're cops from a mile away. There's no doubt.
- 5:59Speaker 3: That's true. I just find it interesting that ICE can
- 6:03Speaker 3: do nothing right. By the way, I could argue that
- 6:06Speaker 3: this guy was still on the street because of guys
- 6:09Speaker 3: like Mondani and Hochul's crime, the way they treat criminals.
- 6:13Speaker 3: The guy was a cop to grand theft, and he
- 6:17Speaker 3: was out on five years probation. So he should have
- 6:22Speaker 3: been in jail, and he should have been on the street,
- 6:23Speaker 3: and he wouldn't have gotten shot, and so on and
- 6:25Speaker 3: so forth.
- 6:26Speaker 1: Yeah, also, if Mamdani and Hochul and the rest would
- 6:29Speaker 1: cooperate with ICE, this is what Blakeman does in Long Island.
- 6:33Speaker 1: He sends his local police with them. They know the streets.
- 6:36Speaker 1: They know what's going on. And they make sure that
- 6:38Speaker 1: things go in an orderly way. So Blakeman will be
- 6:41Speaker 1: here later. We'll ask him.
- 6:41Speaker 2: Exactly.
- 6:42Speaker 1: Hey, where are you in Florida? Are you on the north?
- 6:44Speaker 3: No, I'm on the east coast, just above Florida. Palm Beach,
- 6:51Speaker 3: 40 minutes north of Palm Beach. So I'm not getting
- 6:54Speaker 3: any of that hurricane, thankfully.
- 6:57Speaker 1: Let's hope not, but you might get something later this year.
- 6:59Speaker 1: What do you people do down there when these hurricanes
- 7:01Speaker 1: keep coming?
- 7:03Speaker 3: I personally cower and talk about driving north.
- 7:07Speaker 1: I know, but you all say, every one of you,
- 7:09Speaker 1: you say, well, I'm not going to live up there.
- 7:10Speaker 1: I can't deal with the snow. That's like two weeks
- 7:13Speaker 1: a year. You don't mind the hurricanes? I'd rather have snow.
- 7:16Speaker 3: I hate the hurricanes. I hate the hurricanes, and I'd
- 7:18Speaker 3: rather have the snow. I just can't afford $ 6, 000 a
- 7:22Speaker 3: month of rent. That's the problem. All right, but.
- 7:25Speaker 1: It's getting more and more expensive down there. You know
- 7:27Speaker 1: why it's $ 6, 000? You know why it's so expensive to
- 7:30Speaker 1: rent a place in New York? Because everybody wants to
- 7:33Speaker 1: be here. Everybody's coming here.
- 7:35Speaker 2: Absolutely.
- 7:36Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 7:37Speaker 3: And it's always been expensive. As I said before, when
- 7:40Speaker 3: I first moved in 40-some odd years ago, my $ 350
- 7:42Speaker 3: a month studio was expensive. Yeah. I get it. And
- 7:48Speaker 3: by the way, everything else down here is the same
- 7:50Speaker 3: price as it is in New York. Food, gas, it's
- 7:54Speaker 3: just cheaper to own a home.
- 7:56Speaker 1: And no tax. Good call as always, Mike. Thanks for calling.
- 8:02Speaker 2: One more.
- 8:02Speaker 1: Let's go to Hal in Freeport. Hal, how are you doing?
- 8:06Speaker 2: Hey, how are you doing? Don't waste bullets on this guy.
- 8:10Speaker 2: Just throw him in the pool with piranhas. The Washington pool.
- 8:16Speaker 2: And don't throw him on with his clothes on.
- 8:19Speaker 1: So, yeah, throw him in the pool of piranhas. I
- 8:22Speaker 1: like this. This is the Largo, the villain in Thunderball.
- 8:25Speaker 1: This is his approach. Remember, he threw Bond in the
- 8:27Speaker 1: pool with the sharks.
- 8:30Speaker 2: But don't throw him in naked. Nobody wants to see
- 8:32Speaker 2: his unit.
- 8:33Speaker 1: Yeah, okay, calm down, calm down. You're getting a little perverted.
- 8:37Speaker 1: First of all, a bullet is 25 cents. You know
- 8:39Speaker 1: how much it costs to have a pool, to maintain it,
- 8:41Speaker 1: to have piranhas? You've got to take care of them.
- 8:44Speaker 1: You've got to feed them. The pool is already there.
- 8:46Speaker 1: The pool's there. It's not as easy as you think.
- 8:51Speaker 1: You've been watching too many Bond movies. Thanks for calling.
- 8:53Speaker 1: Remember that movie, Thunderball? And the guy had the pool,
- 8:58Speaker 1: beautiful swimming pool on his estate, but it had these
- 9:01Speaker 1: things that would open up and sharks would come out
- 9:03Speaker 1: and eat you.
- 9:04Speaker 2: Remember?
- 9:05Speaker 1: Didn't he throw Bond in there at one point?
- 9:06Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 9:07Speaker 1: But again, that's a movie. You can't do that in
- 9:09Speaker 1: real life. Listen, it was a terrible shooting. Mamdani, had
- 9:17Speaker 1: he cooperated with ICE, had he put local cops with them,
- 9:21Speaker 1: things would have gone in a much smoother way. Now,
- 9:24Speaker 1: the DHS is confirming, absolutely confirming, that there was body
- 9:29Speaker 1: camera footage of this. Now, they haven't released it yet. Now,
- 9:32Speaker 1: it's a little suspicious, but we'll see. If they released
- 9:35Speaker 1: the body camera footage, and it's as the officer said,
- 9:39Speaker 1: that the guy tried to run them over, he tried
- 9:41Speaker 1: to ram them with his car, It then becomes a
- 9:44Speaker 1: totally justified shooting. In any law enforcement agency in America,
- 9:49Speaker 1: if you're standing there and he's going to try to
- 9:51Speaker 1: run you over and kill you, you are justified in
- 9:54Speaker 1: stopping him. So we'll see. We'll probably hear about that
- 9:57Speaker 1: later today. We'll keep covering it all morning. We've got
- 10:00Speaker 1: lots to get to today. Mark Simone here, 9 to noon.
- 10:03Speaker 1: Three hours now. 9 to noon every day. And then
- 10:07Speaker 1: at noon, Buck and Clay with a really good show
- 10:09Speaker 1: for you. And then the most listened to radio show
- 10:12Speaker 1: in all of America, Sean Hannity at 3. You've got
- 10:15Speaker 1: Jesse Kelly at 6. The very funny Jimmy Fallon. 9
- 10:19Speaker 1: to midnight. All that's here on 710WOR.
