Rochester Invests in Refugee Support | Rochester News
Rochester City Council just poured $125,000 into three local immigrant and refugee support groups—Refugees Helping Refugees ($85K), MELCORR ($10K), and Rochester Refugee Resettlement Services ($30K)—to help newcomers navigate housing, legal aid, and trauma-informed mental health care. With federal funding shrinking, this city-backed investment is a lifeline and a powerful statement: Rochester is committed to welcoming, supporting, and integrating its newest residents as they build their American dream.
