- 0:09for me. Excuse me while I whipped this out. Broadcasting live and Atlanta
- 0:17to a joou this this is the Sports Shot Show with Wayne Candy. You
- 0:23may began Dan show so far it comes a mik is it just I'm a
- 0:38doing I'm gonna go on the way you made Pill Vegan. Welcome, Welcome,
- 0:44Welcome. You're listening to the sport Shock Show. I am the Sports
- 0:48Shock Wayne Candy. Good morning to you. I hope you had a great
- 0:52weekend. Hope your team did well or at least enough to make you feel
- 1:00like there is a light at the end of the Tonno, it is Monday.
- 1:04It is Chile here in the Atlanta area. Big Kennedy, the funny
- 1:11man himself in the building, the bad producer is back again, and our
- 1:15man command, Gie greg is on the scene. Good morning. We got
- 1:21a double hitter tonight for Monday Night football. I don't know how the ESPN
- 1:26Giants came up with this this late in the season, but they have decided
- 1:32that one game is not enough and interesting both games start at the same time.
- 1:40Now, that's might be the most interesting part no stagger it's no staggering.
- 1:45You're on the same network, so you don't have to play volleyball.
- 1:49I guess you just have to tune in to what you want to watch because
- 1:53you're gonna miss some of the game a lot of times, like yesterday when
- 1:59you had the Bill playing the Chiefs and you had the forty nine Ers playing
- 2:05the Seahawks. They were different times they were staggered. You could get a
- 2:08little bit of each. But tonight the Packers heading into Giants Stadium to play
- 2:15the New York Giants. That's at eight fifteen, and the Titans are down
- 2:21in South Beach taking on the Dolphins. That's at eight fifteen, both of
- 2:25them. The Giants Packer game is on ABC and ESPN Plus, and Tennessee
- 2:34Miami is on ESPN tonight. If you're in Georgia or anywhere else and have
- 2:40friends, you like high school football state finals here in Georgia, start here
- 2:47this morning. First game should be up on around eleven o'clock, maybe ten.
- 2:53They have the flag football games early and then there will be three state
- 3:00games today. Sad news coming out of Manchester, Manchester, Georgia, which
- 3:07is about eighty miles from Atlanta. South of Atlanta, Manchester is playing Bowden.
- 3:15I'm calling that game tonight at seven o'clock. Sadly, one of the
- 3:21Manchester young men, Brandon Smith, was found dead yesterday. He went missing
- 3:30Saturday and they found him dead yesterday on Sunday. They don't have a cause
- 3:38of death right now. So the team which most likely would have traveled up
- 3:45here yesterday to Atlanta. The game is at the Ben's Mercedes Being Stadium,
- 3:51but Manchester will be without their Southmore de tackle Brandon Smith, who was found
- 4:00dead. I'm not sure the circumstances. This is the first time, the
- 4:03first time that Manchester has been back to the state finals since around ninety seven
- 4:10ninety eight. We have seen in these situations where teams in recent years have
- 4:18canceled the game. I'm not sure if that's when the docket is still early
- 4:24and we are still talking about high school kids and when you're on this level,
- 4:30these are your friends. Typically, these are the people that you grew
- 4:32up with. These aren't like college where you from somewhere else and then meet
- 4:40up and play. These are the young men and women that you don't ever
- 4:46forget they were there when you learned how to do something. They might have
- 4:49been in the room with you, So it's a different effect when you're talking
- 4:55about sixteen seventeen year olds. I know I'm calling the game, but I
- 5:02am prepared either way that maybe I'll get a text or email that Manchester has
- 5:10decided not to play. From the spirit of the game, the spirit of
- 5:15the coaches, you feel like they're not gonna maybe take this opportunity away.
- 5:20They are playing Bowden, who won this region and won this championship last year,
- 5:28but Manchester beat them the first game of the season twenty one twenty So
- 5:33we will see how this game goes. And if you get a chance to
- 5:39check it out on GPBGPB dot org, short online. If you in Georgia,
- 5:46you just turn on Georgia Public Broadcasting. But that game is at seven.
- 5:49But today, Tomorrow and Wednesday, all day long state championships. I
- 5:55get the pleasure of calling Tomorrow night, my good friend Jeron bettis his son
- 6:00Woodward Academy taking on Thomas County Central. That's the six A. And then
- 6:05Wednesday night I get the big Boys, the seven A, Luke Nicol who's
- 6:12headed to Miami taking on Jeremy Heck Lynski, who's headed to Wake Forest in
- 6:16the seven A title game. A whole bunch of college players on both of
- 6:21those teams, just deep with college players. But good morning, fellas,
- 6:27good morning, good morning. Glad to see you in the studio. Please
- 6:30one of you, before we even get the show going, tell me what
- 6:33the Kansas City Chiefs are upset about. Kansas City plays Buffalo last night.
- 6:41Kansas City makes a play where Travis Kelsey improvised. It was all improvis you
- 6:47know. And when I say improvised, I'm saying improvise from I don't think
- 6:51that Andy Reid called the play right. This is something that I'm sure,
- 6:58with the personality of a t as Kelsey he had done in practice before,
- 7:03messing around pitching the ball. Usually in that kind of case, some coach
- 7:10runs down there and yells at you for doing don't do that because it's a
- 7:14very dangerous play. We've seen some guys in recent years try to make some
- 7:17play like that. But the play worked, but it was called back and
- 7:25the great Patrick Mahomes, the legendary coach Reid, both had some interesting comments
- 7:32at the end of the game, and I wasn't sure why can can somebody
- 7:39explain to me what they're so mad about in this this play. Any anyone
- 7:46did you see the play? Did Okay? I did not see the play,
- 7:51Comanche, What would they be mad about? Well, for my understand,
- 7:58as far as like with with receivers, when they line up the referee,
- 8:05I don't know if the referee is supposed to tell them, hey,
- 8:07you're not on side, or if they're always supposed to just if they're supposed
- 8:13to ask every time that they're on side. And it didn't seem that either
- 8:20either way, nothing happened, and Kadarius Tony was off sides, Yeah he
- 8:24was. His foot was in the neutral zone, so they called it well
- 8:30from the blue line on TV they called said he was in the neutral zone.
- 8:33But it is like you see the receivers, they walk up to the
- 8:37officials, they let them know that I'm the one that's on the line,
- 8:39consider me on the line of scrimmage because some one only so many players are
- 8:43allowed on the line of scrimmage. So I think that with that time in
- 8:48the game, I mean, and as an official, you don't want to
- 8:52be the cause and effect of a play in the game, and with that
- 8:56being a scoring play, and then all of a sudden, flag comes out
- 9:01that we had an infraction. Plus, you know, Tony has been he's
- 9:05been doing this over the last few weeks. He's been in a couple of
- 9:09situations where he's caused the team to get a either not to get the succession
- 9:13on a third down play or a touchdown. So maybe it's the frustration.
- 9:18I thought it was more. Maybe frustration. They're mad at him, but
- 9:20they're a little upset with the referees, but they don't really want to say
- 9:24nothing to the player. I just thought it was real funny. I'm like
- 9:28you, I'm not trying to figure out what was that much frustration about,
- 9:33because I've seen worse calls at the end of the game. Well, here's
- 9:37the key to a play, right, guys, here's the key. You
- 9:43can be outraged if you choose to some people. I find I'm one of
- 9:50those Evan Flow kind of people. I feel like there's gonna be mistakes made
- 9:54by anyone out here participating on in a game. But you have to limit
- 10:01your outrage to subjective calls. You can be mad on a personal interference,
- 10:15past interference. You can be personal or emotional about well that wasn't holding on
- 10:22the old lineman plays of what they call pre snap. These are just the
- 10:30letter of the law. This ain't got nothing to do with me. It
- 10:33says if you ain't behind the line, that's a flag. If you go
- 10:37back and watch this play, this flag was thrown before Patrick Mahomes ever even
- 10:46caught the snap. There's a flag. This isn't a late flag. Aster
- 10:52Travis Kelsey caught the ball and threw the ball to Tony. This play started
- 10:56with the flag. You were off side from the jump in this play.
- 11:01So I don't get what they were mad about. And Travis Kelsey, so,
- 11:05man, they got to hold him back. Let me go Danny.
- 11:07No, that was Patrick Mahoman. I'm sorry, let me go Danny.
- 11:11He was trying to get him a whole new kind of conversation with Patrick thought
- 11:18he had a free play. He thought the flag was against the defense,
- 11:22and he assumed that he had a free play. I would imagine that it
- 11:26could be in his mind, because rarely at this level do you see the
- 11:31receiver lined up. Now, you might see them flinch, but you usually
- 11:35command you to answer your question. The bad producer was right as far as
- 11:41the receiver is supposed to ask the ref He supposed to look over there and
- 11:46ask him and let him know I'm on the line. Seven people have to
- 11:50be on the line when the ball is snapped. If it's not, then
- 11:54it's a penalty. But in this case he was lined up off alright by
- 12:01Tonail. He was off side. But the Patrick mahomes quite sure. We'll
- 12:07hear about it this week for possibly Wow, he went at him because he
- 12:13didn't just yell as he walked off the field. He kind of made as
- 12:18though he wanted smoke. Twenty to seventeen. The Bills beat the Chiefs yesterday
- 12:22to go seven and six. Now the Chiefs are eight and five. We'll
- 12:24be back more to Sportshop Show right after this. Six six six joh Bull,
- 12:41Wayne Born of the Sports John Show with Wayne Dambidia's coming up next.

- 13:50care at fifteen years old. Her life was full of uncertainty. She thought
- 13:56she'd never have a permanent place to call home. Before I was adopted,
- 14:01I felt like I wasn't enough. I had this hole in my heart and
- 14:05I never knew what I needed to patch that hole. But when my mom
- 14:09asked to adopt me, that hole was closed. It feels so normal now
- 14:11to say that I'm a part of this family. I am surrounded by love,
- 14:16I feel safe, and that hole inside of me is gone. I
- 14:20am whole. I'm finally enough, just as I am. The Dave Thomas

- 15:20John Wayne Gandy the Jock of the Day, is sponsored by Mattress HEROESUSA,
- 15:26dot Com the sleep you deserve at a price you can afford. No,
- 15:30no, no, no, Now it's time to present the Jock of the
- 15:33day on the Sports Jockshures taken it to a completely different level this year where
- 15:37we highlight an acolyte that has taken their game to the next level. You
- 15:46see too the time. Come on, y'all, lass rock dip you say
- 15:52to fame, Come on, speeches my hammer, bang the world in the
- 15:56shape and not let it fall? What about you? This what Shock showing
- 16:00the whatshock wing Gindy, Good morning to you. The twenty twenty three Heisman
- 16:07Trophy winner went to LSU Jaydon Daniels. If you didn't get to catch any
- 16:12of his games, this was a deserving award for miss to Daniels, his
- 16:21numbers stood a top of college football, especially as far as quarterback production.
- 16:29As you know, the Sports Shock has a bit righte with the Heisman Trophy,
- 16:33which is supposed to be the most prestigious award given to a college football
- 16:40player each season. You want to know why the Sports Shock feels that way.
- 16:45Jaydon Daniels won quarterback, Michael Pennant second quarterback, Go Knicks third quarterback,
- 16:53Marvin Harrison junior, fourth receiver, Jordan Trappe quarterback, Jalen Miroe seven
- 17:03quarterback. Finally, Oli got Gordon a second running back, Cody Schrader quarterback.
- 17:12Did y'all get a theme right there? Did y'all hear me call any
- 17:17safety, corner, d lineman, linebacker, tight end, all offensive,
- 17:25and ninety of them the cent of them are quarterbacks. And that's the thing
- 17:30that throws me with the award. To me, as I have said many
- 17:33and many times, what are the other awards for? I always feel like
- 17:41the Heisman Trophy should be comprised of all the other awards. Whoever wins the
- 17:48other awards are the people that up for the Heisman. I don't get how
- 17:53that works. So that young man who wins the Thwart Award or the Buckuts
- 17:59or the bullet in the Cough should behold, that's your qualification for the Heisman.
- 18:08But now the same people who none of those people are on the list,
- 18:11Well you're talking about the same folks. That's one of the bullet the
- 18:15cough, so he would qualify, correct. But I think Jane Daniels won
- 18:22the the Davey O'Brien, which the quarterback Award and the Maxwell. I think,
- 18:30so he's won the other one, so it seemed like it would it
- 18:33would be him, but he would qualify under that requirement these same folks fsun.
- 18:38So you know you'll want to be too dude to make too much sense.
- 18:45I just thought, if we're giving out these other Lombardy whatever the rest
- 18:52of them, that is your invitation to the Heisman's ceremony. And then I
- 19:00figure out out of all those awards, who had the most dominant season.
- 19:07Do you think it's like with some of the some of the awards, it's
- 19:11hard to like quantify what they what they do. Like one year Orlando Pace
- 19:17was a was a finalist, Yes, and if you look at like watching
- 19:23the film, like, okay, yeah he could he could definitely win the
- 19:26Heisen, but like, how do you like quantify what he does? Like
- 19:33people look at more like the counting stats, like Jayden Daniels had forty touchdown
- 19:37passes, but with an offensive lineman, how do you determine that he's the
- 19:42best player win? Well, that's that's that's what that there? Well,
- 19:47how necessary? Orlando Pace also was the first pick of the draft, right,
- 19:53so there is your evidence that obviously I was the best player. Somebody
- 20:00thought that I was. I came in second in the Outland myself coming out
- 20:06of college. You're trying to make it numbers. So since the quarterback got
- 20:12numbers, it's easier to say he had he's better. How is that we're
- 20:18talking about the position as far as performance or are we talking about which one?
- 20:23Are we talking about performance or numbers? Well? Recently, I mean
- 20:27they just got how many sacks do I need? I don't know. Okay,
- 20:34but you just have made it a quarterback award, right that. I
- 20:38agree. That's what it's. That's what it's. And I fight my producer
- 20:41every week, every Friday. I fight my producer because all he wants to
- 20:45do is give the player of the game to the quarterback. Even when we
- 20:51give it to someone else, he tries to do a duel. Well,
- 20:56who do you want? I want to run him back? Who do you
- 20:57I want to tight end the tight end? Seven catches for one hundred and
- 21:00ninety eight yards. How is that not the player of the game. Well,
- 21:06how about if I find two towels and we'll give one to the quarterbacks?
- 21:11Y'all have convinced the world. I don't understand that the quarterback is,
- 21:15then how is that Well, when back when the last time someone Charles Woodson
- 21:22won last defensive player, you know, he had to go play. Let's
- 21:26make it exactly, don't say it that way. Say it Charles Woodson,
- 21:32who was primarily a defensive player, he had to go and do the receiver
- 21:37had to kick return punts and and and all that effect. Just to add,
- 21:41as you say, to quantified numbers, to give numbers, well,
- 21:45I mean you could look at it several ways. Like you said, if
- 21:48that whatever the number that gave that man the outland or whatever numbers gave that
- 21:52man the blood the call, whatever number gave the man to Paul Horning,
- 21:56which is that new award? Uh? Those are the same numbers that you
- 22:00use along with the votes for the Heisman. But the people who sell the
- 22:06Heisman ceremony to be viewed the general viewer, the average sports fan, has
- 22:17no idea how offensive line and defensive or linebacker numbers quantify against the quarterback.
- 22:26It's easy for them to hear forty touchdowns one hundred and seventy two yards.
- 22:30Yay, okay, the quarterback, and that to them equals but some sort
- 22:37of trophy That's what I'm saying. But and that then there's strange. But
- 22:41why can't we do this? Then let me say, the quarterback, you
- 22:44only threw the ball ten yards. That man ran sixty yards. So we're
- 22:48gonna take away from your yardage and we're gonna make Marvin. That sounds like
- 22:52somebody connected to sports. No, no, that sounds like. But what
- 22:55I'm saying is the quarterback. And I agree with sports jock on this.
- 22:59Like sometimes it's like the quarterback is, oh, he's praised, but they
- 23:03forgot that man made that man miss for the extra thirty four of you old
- 23:07no, no, what I'm trying to explain bad producers this. The Heisman
- 23:11Award was something that was birthed by football fundamentalists to reward the best college football
- 23:17athlete, and then somebody decided that we're gonna make it entertainment. And so
- 23:22they took something that was supposed to be about honoring somebody's accomplishments and tried to
- 23:26give it something that would entertain you for an hour or two. And that's
- 23:30why they put the most recognizable names with the most recognizable statistics in the contest.
- 23:37Congratulations that Jade and Daniels for winning the Heisman. For you Atlanta fans,
- 23:42you might find Daniels in a Falcon uniform. Stop next year. Stop
- 23:49I like the boyfriend. Watch I'm just the boy from Washington won't be around.
- 23:55You should have asked me, why did you say that sports job,
- 23:59and I would say because Jade will probably be number four or five on the
- 24:04quarterback list. Those guys will be gone. But for where Atlanta picks,
- 24:11he'll be sitting there at about fifteen. He would still be available. Caleb
- 24:15Williams, Michael Pinton, them guys are be gone. Jayde dais most likely
- 24:21we'll be back with more to the Sports Jock Show right after this. John
- 24:38Borlwayne Board of The Sports John Show with Wayne gam videos coming up next.

- 26:00family and thought we live forever. Life insurance was the last thing on my
- 26:03mind. What about you? Will you be leaving benefits or bills? When
- 26:07I was forty with a kid in college and bills piling up. I was
- 26:11worried how my family will survive without me. That's what I'm in an appointment

- 26:47Hi, we're the Goo Goo dolls. We're fortunate that our daughters have what
- 26:49they need to grow and learn, but that isn't the case for nearly thirteen
- 26:53million kids in the US that struggle with hunger. Childhood hunger is a heartbreaking
- 26:57reality that Feeding America is working to change. Each year, the Feeding American

- 28:00and green Bay Miami trying to win and get that number one seed in the
- 28:06AFC. Green Bay fighting for their playoff live. As you can see this
- 28:14season, there is no clear cut favorite. There are two or three teams.
- 28:19I think they're healthy as we saw last night with the Cowboys over the
- 28:25Eagles. And we see when all the band members of the forty nine ers
- 28:29get together to rage out, it's hard to stop them. So the Miami
- 28:38Dolphins trying to keep pace. Last night. Big Kenny was mentioning real quick
- 28:42during the break the fifty year salute. The Grammys had a little show on
- 28:48at the game yesterday between the Chiefs and the Bells that y'all guys watched that
- 28:56fifty year show. I watched now. I thought it was interesting that I
- 29:00maybe this is just my lack of connection, but I thought it was interesting.
- 29:03I knew it was coming on, didn't didn't get a whole lot of
- 29:07promo, And I'm, well, you know the writer you know, the
- 29:10writer's strike and all that push push push things correct, You don't you don't
- 29:14really know when it started when it's ending. And I didn't consider that because
- 29:18I remember, I'm familiar with the writers of the show, and I know
- 29:23they were promoting having filmed it months ago. But then the writer strike happened.
- 29:29I forgot all about that. But I saw the end of it,
- 29:33uh, the last maybe our our fifteen minutes recorded and hadn't watched it it
- 29:40But what I wanted to watch the football game. But I'm like Kenny,
- 29:45I didn't, like I said, right at the game was going off,
- 29:47you know, I was watching a little bit of sixty minutes right before they
- 29:49sawing about oh hip Hop Grammy Awards. So that's why only reason I recorded,
- 29:52because I knew I was gonna go to the football game. Command you
- 29:56did you see any of it? No? Okay? I called it some
- 30:00it because again direct TV in the NBC had me blocked, had me blocked
- 30:04in this area, so I can't watch the game. It's two weeks in
- 30:08a row. It's two weeks in a row. They have NBC blocked two
- 30:12weeks in And my wife tried to avoid a meltdown yesterday by going through all
- 30:18these different streaming services and looking at me like, stay calm, I'm gonna
- 30:22find it, and then at some point I don't think this is gonna happen.
- 30:26They did do a good job of putting the categories of the type different
- 30:33types of rap together, so they had kind of a conscious Atlanta sound together.
- 30:41They had the Miami sound together, they had the women pioneers together.
- 30:47They had to trap music sound together, and the conscious rap group together as
- 30:55well, so that that was good. How they when they did each segment
- 31:00came back, it was a different style of music. Big Kenny says his
- 31:06biggest take was that Will Smith closed the show the Fresh Prince and now the
- 31:11two things they said, Uh, this was the reunion of Jazz Jeff and
- 31:18the Fresh Prince, which to my knowledge was interesting because I've watched them perform
- 31:22over the years together many times. They've never not been jazz just in Fresh
- 31:26Prince. Uh. And the other part was that he closed the show and
- 31:32he assaulted somebody on National TV Live show. He's a rap, Big Big
- 31:37Kenny, everybody on that stage whole it's something criminal activity. I dig it,
- 31:45I dig it. Yeah I don't. But you said we never watched
- 31:51I dope you see what, But we didn't see it. He didn't do
- 31:56it in front of us. That's my point. He didn't do much.
- 32:00He didn't do it in front of Usuke Luke Skywalker did all that. Uncle
- 32:04Luke did all that stuff in front of us. He show did Luke.
- 32:07Yeah, that's something like you know, Luke show did Luke speaking. But
- 32:13we can appreciate that art speaking appreciate his art. Speaking of Luke, I
- 32:17went to prison. But everybody's been depressing. No, No, I'm just
- 32:22saying you're you're you're the Fresh Prince performed the Fresh Prince before that had nothing
- 32:29to do with Smith. That was the whole difference to You're right that main
- 32:34they will pull off something like when are they gonna hip hop? Really give
- 32:37Luke his flowers for what he did, what he's still for in hip hop
- 32:44regardless of the material and everything, but just who he is, because you
- 32:49could tell if it was for Luke, and just I saw an interview recently,
- 32:52I think I think Luke would have to go out and do something like
- 32:59you just have to take your story and put it out yourself. I don't
- 33:04know why he hasn't put his own it would It would grip me. It's
- 33:07something. It's a it's a part where you have some information but not the
- 33:10whole story. And say that the eighties the whole, from the even to
- 33:15the band. I mean, you're talking about the man who got explicit lyrics
- 33:20put on. So even even if that's the name of the movie, explicit
- 33:24lyrics, that part would intrigue people about the dance music of South Florida and
- 33:32a lot of what I think it is is the media portrayed. Luke's impact
- 33:37is just a regional impact, but he was very influential and encouraging not only
- 33:44rappers but the artists and hold on, hold on, I don't mean to
- 33:47cut you off, but the music of that time type cast because when Luke
- 34:00was dropping those hits, check what your Mama gave y'all, people in Chicago
- 34:06with that like they don't listen to that right now. It was regional that
- 34:09when they went to their brownstones in their basement, they would throw it on.
- 34:15But when they come you weren't there. You don't know. Don't you
- 34:19expose us that way? Oh, because when I got drafted in ninety four
- 34:22and went to La Yes, and me and my great friend James Bostic,
- 34:27who was my running back in college, he got drafted there too. We
- 34:30were roommates. We would go to places and he had a big suburban had
- 34:35some speakers in it, and when we would pull up, you know,
- 34:39brow do dooo prop and everybody in the LA area would act like where them
- 34:47country boys come from? Right until midnight and then you go to the club.
- 34:55Now it right up. And that's really how it was. And so
- 35:02it was like we're gonna stand and we're gonna stand as though we don't and
- 35:07that's enjoyed that music. And I'm just saying when you said the media,
- 35:10it was like we act like we were not going to that's something southern,
- 35:15that's that jungle music from the South. But but Luke's imprint expanded into entrepreneurism,
- 35:22where he started his own label or his own distribution. He fought back
- 35:27against the government and got the labels put on the music because they were talking
- 35:30about just banning the lyrics completely. But he was like, no, that's
- 35:35our art. We can put it on there. You just give them a
- 35:37warning. So a lot of people say his impact was only regional, but
- 35:40the influencers felt worldwide. Luke made commandchie greg and other dj speed up other
- 35:50region's music so that cool rap got sped up because all of it so everybody
- 35:57could dance a little bit, and we put pressure that. I don't know
- 35:59how y'all do that little thing, but where you take it and speed up
- 36:05turntable speed to make it dance more pliable to dance to. That's what I
- 36:09know started happening, and he gave birth to groups that who made the song
- 36:14Scrub the Ground. Now, that's my best moment in life is twenty nine
- 36:19to twenty five the Tampa Bay Bucks coming back in this game against the Falcons.
- 36:23The Falcons did a great job yesterday. I have to take my hat
- 36:29off to you. They started the game with two old linemens just not even
- 36:32playing. By the second quarter, they had every available old lineman they had
- 36:37on staff on the field. The two other guys. It was only people.
- 36:43Because when I saw the other two linemen, I was sitting there thinking,
- 36:45one of these tight end, one more lineman get hurt, the tight
- 36:49end is gonna have to go play on the old line. That's how it
- 36:52really works. A lot of people don't know that he just has the goal,
- 36:57and whoever's beside him has to try to just tell him the play,
- 37:00or the coordinator has to start making up plays. So because they was getting
- 37:06that far down, but they were picking up people at home depot. Hey,
- 37:08you know, ohne get on. But the Falcons and Bucks fighting for
- 37:15a division. I know, both records or six and seven. But the
- 37:19game was good. You could tell it was a lot on the game.
- 37:22The Bucks needed the game just as much as the Falcons. Now the whole
- 37:25division is locked at six and seven. Baker Mayfield doing just enough. Both
- 37:32of these defenses were setting the tone, making it hard for anybody to move.
- 37:37Drake London, thank you. Finally y'all got to go make plays.
- 37:44Go make plays. Stop trying to say it's Desmond Ritter, Zach Wilson.
- 37:50When y'all gonna make some plays. Finally you made a play yesterday. Oh
- 37:54there you go. Drake. That's what I've been waiting on, Not them
- 37:57little five yard outs. Go up between two guys. Snatch the ball out
- 38:02of the air for your young quarterback. Because you know what Desmond Rider is.
- 38:07He's a first year, starting, third round pick. And you know
- 38:13what Desmond Rider looks like. A first year starting, third round pick.
- 38:17That's what he is. He's up and down. You know what the difference
- 38:24is between a first round quarterback and a third round what's the difference between the
- 38:28first round and the third round? A third rounder typically is up and down.
- 38:34Wait first, don't tell me, let me get let me get it.
- 38:37Seemed like the third round to be up and down. That's what he'd
- 38:42be. That's why your third round I know a little bit. When when
- 38:45they went to give him the test, hear a little more. That's how
- 38:49it really works. He looks just what he was drafted as a guy that
- 38:52you hope I can hone him, get him right in about three years.
- 38:58Put you can do it. But these guys are top round, top drafted
- 39:05pick. Go make plays for them, make plays for your quarterback. But
- 39:08good game, tough loss there for the Falcons. The whole division still is
- 39:13right there. Four games left. It's looked like maybe whoever is eight nine
- 39:20might win this division. Look like it may come down because some of these
- 39:22teams. I think the Bucks play the Panthers on the last week, the
- 39:28Falcons played the Saints, so it might come down to the last week of
- 39:30the season of who wins to get a playoff game. Falcons get viewer retention
- 39:36though, because you got to wait till the last minute to watch them love.
- 39:37We'll be back more to Sports Shot Show right after this and John Bowayne

- 42:12note on that fifty year reunion show on the Grammy, CBS last night.
- 42:19Whatever flavor Flav is on, get you some of that. I've been looking
- 42:24google him, hit him online, a Flave, what's up with your man?
- 42:29Let me get some of that whatever that is that the flavor on that
- 42:32six coup got to be what sixty? Let me get your guys number,
- 42:37get your guys number. Flame Flavor was still bouncing you with all this flavor,
- 42:45sixty sixty four sixty, Get you some of that there, whatever that
- 42:50is. It might only work at ten minute inner rules, I'm telling you
- 42:53now, but now he was giving you all that little bounce and whatever Aaron
- 42:58Ryders was on first dude might have some more back in stock, because you
- 43:02know he sold out for the fifty year anniversary of all of them. Something
- 43:08need a little something to get going. So uh not the Queen, because
- 43:14Queen she didn't know she just did this. Yeah, well she made it
- 43:17look like she was a couple of times she swung out here. She wasn't
- 43:21trying to get off the ground, queen. But Flave was out there being
- 43:24him old his old self, Flavor doing that jumping around. Queen had bars
- 43:30though, when you when you go back listen to her music, she did.
- 43:32She did have bars back in the day. But thirty four the fourteen
- 43:37the Bengals over the Coats, offensive explosion for them because Joe Burrow, who
- 43:44has been out and will be out the rest of the season, is not
- 43:46in. But Jake Browning threw for two touchdowns in this game. Where now
- 43:52both of these teams are seven and six over in the AFC. You got
- 43:55a traffic jam about five teams that are seven and six. It's gonna be
- 44:00interesting four weeks here coming up for a lot of teams. And these teams
- 44:06like the Bengals and teams that have that ability to get some of these dome
- 44:12teams out, invite them on out with some of that luxury, cold rain
- 44:15and wet field that they just don't be able to produce. You know,
- 44:22Indy used to cold weather, but not used to playing in it, right,
- 44:27whereas the Bengals the wet balls, wet fields, all that kind of
- 44:30stuff. Little win chill, little bridge on them. But thirty four to
- 44:34fourteen, the Bengals showing a little life, still trying to get there.
- 44:38Big game yesterday late for Zach Wilson of the Jets chests thirty to six,
- 44:46the Jets over the Texans CJ Stroud having his worst game in his young pro
- 44:52career, only ninety one yards passing with sacked four times ten of twenty three
- 44:59left the game with a concussion. Davis meals Atlanta's own Davis mill out of
- 45:06GAC. He went to Great Atlanta. Christian Davis meals with my daughter back
- 45:10in the day. Was one of full five when he got in there.
- 45:14But the Jets, one thing they do is play defense, yes, and
- 45:20they get after whoever decides they want to play. The Jets are very welcome
- 45:24to get you a table ready. Yeah, yeah, a table for fifty
- 45:28three. Okay, we got we got that right over, No, sir,
- 45:30yeah, here is your whole party. You can wait on them at
- 45:35the table. Yeah yeah, yeah, we don't need two people. Yeah,
- 45:39come on, we send them at the table. But that defense,
- 45:43it gets after everybody. So C. J. Shroud having its toughest day.
- 45:46Hopefully he can bounce back in a week in that protocol. And it
- 45:50was the same way. It's helmet. And as you notice, I always
- 45:53told people, you look at the highlights. They try to sell you it's
- 45:58this big hit to the head or the helmet. The helmet. Most concussions
- 46:05is when you fall and your head hits the turf. I'm just putting your
- 46:09own game. Don't let them fool you, because they got a lot of
- 46:13mothers, They got a lot of fathers out here to think, oh my
- 46:16son came, or if I put him at a position where he can't get
- 46:21no. Most concussions is when you fall and your head snaps back and hits
- 46:28that turf. That hand goes up. Hey, hey, hey, somebody
- 46:32get get stuck. That's when they're telling you that church finger. I need
- 46:37to go out for it. Now. I can laugh now because I got
- 46:42through it. So I have to thank God I made it through it.
- 46:45The second and one of you people don't know is the knee to the head
- 46:50when you're kind of in a position and somebody's running to make a blog.
- 46:53It could be your own man and they hit you in the side of the
- 46:55head with that knee. Can I get the knee lift? Now? With
- 47:04the concussion protocol, he's out for mandatory what is it one game? No?
- 47:08No, he gets reevaluated. I think Thursday night. Okay, it's
- 47:13like four days after that. That's uh, and then yeah, so he
- 47:15can be back next Sunday. Okay, Yeah, but he has to be
- 47:20they give it at least four days. Yeah, he can't have any activity.
- 47:23I think to Thursday's practice right from a Sunday game, okay, and
- 47:28then I think they have to say something Friday whether he will play, and
- 47:30so just try wish your name. I'm batman. I think it's a mandatory,
- 47:37like when Tua after about three times. I don't know, hold me
- 47:39to that, but I think after about three concussions in a row, then
- 47:45they have to hold you out a game. It might be mandatory. Now
- 47:49do they share the results of well, I know they can put you back,
- 47:53but any of the nuances of that test are are because you know,
- 47:57they share everything with the But do they share that like if they ask him
- 48:01questions and some of it he was fuzzy on but with the finger thing good,
- 48:07No, that becomes patient confidentiality. Okay. At that point, so
- 48:12you can hit the field, thinking you batman, it's possible. It's interesting
- 48:19to run up on somebody on the field. Some of them be sleep,
- 48:23some of them be out there and they be having conversation confused, like man,
- 48:29let me get some saltines and two cans of sardines, and you'd be
- 48:34like what's going on, bruy, y'all come get Freddy? No, no,
- 48:38just bring me the hot house. Freddy knocked out, but he's still
- 48:45moved. I'm not laughing at him, still lining up. I'm just thankful
- 48:52as they say, we'll be back more than Sports Yo Show right after this.
- 48:57Will you saw you fall? The flight the doll not to death?
- 49:01I'm not impressed them not meals and knock of fuels, not fooled from man

- 52:00or I think of Miss Bunny, my mom. It's money out there
- 52:04if you're listening everything, I think about all the child services moments right here,
- 52:07you know, having me out on a school night, standing on a
- 52:13corner selling barbecue sundiches. I just fle flair that one every time. Every
- 52:20time, every time I hear that Mary Jane Is, I see my uncle
- 52:27and illegally no no business license, no nothing, no nothing, just a
- 52:36young third gradest sleep in the back of a car getting bitten by mosquito around
- 52:40the corner. And you know, statue of limitation ran out, so I
- 52:44can tell the full truth of the store. Just every time around the corner
- 52:47somebody peeing behind the car. You don't know, Hey man, you won't
- 52:52hit this, just and see child services. That's every time I hear that
- 52:58the Mary Jane Welcome to the show. I'm the sports shock, Wayne kre
- 53:02in season tournament the Lakers, Yes, the Lakers. Now, I don't
- 53:07get with Adam Silver. Y'all was taking a little too far. Y'all giving
- 53:14a trophy and a medal. Yeah, y'all just trying to get the Olympics
- 53:17and uh, the NBA Championship all mixed. But Lebron James, first of
- 53:23all, I'm happy the nd season tournament is over. Let's get it around
- 53:29of applause that so we can just have one looking court. So, uh,
- 53:37my second thought to you, Adam Silver, is just replaced the All
- 53:42Star Game with this? How about it? Huh huh huh? Hello,
- 53:47come on now, where you just replace the All Star Game with you know
- 53:51how the stars will come out? Now? It was a lot of stars
- 53:53in the audience for this, So imagine what you could get in February with
- 53:59a mid season in tournament. Come on now, come on, because it
- 54:04wasn't that you were saying, as y'all keep applauding the in tournament, in
- 54:08season tournament. It wasn't that that push your numbers up. What it was
- 54:13for you out there listening is that finally tons of stars were actually playing the
- 54:22other again. Whether they played hard or not, they actually was coming to
- 54:27play. I can't remember. I don't know any major other than John Morant,
- 54:31who will be back here in a minute, getting about another week.
- 54:35He should be on a basketball court. I think they said the nineteenth he
- 54:39will be back John Morant of Memphis off of his suspension. But it was
- 54:44one of the few times in recent years you had all the names. Is
- 54:49they're a star that's been missing in this first part. I know Bradley Beal,
- 54:57but I'm talking about him. He's a star player and a great player.
- 55:00But I'm saying Durant's been playing Kawhi Joker, Jimmy Butler, can everybody,
- 55:09everybody is playing everybody everywhere, everyone's playing, and that's what's been driving
- 55:15the numbers up. Even Chris Milton playing yet Steph been playing everybody that I
- 55:20can think of, the other day and I was like, he's still in
- 55:23the league. He was playing. He was playing. I thought all the
- 55:29major stars that I can think of have been playing. Yeah, they might
- 55:32have missed the game here, but it hasn't been that whole. Simmons has
- 55:36missed less games. Benson, he's still in the league. You got to
- 55:42think about he is reaching that level you got. You gotta reach progress though
- 55:46missing less games, because there was a time he was gone for about what
- 55:51three seasons? Yeah he didn't about three seasons. But in season tournament the
- 55:58Lakers beat uh, the Pacers in this game, Anthony Davis, Lebron James
- 56:06winning in a big way for the Lakers and the Lakers still, I musa
- 56:12still say that the Laker. There's one somebody that y'all are missing. One
- 56:19somebody. Haven't really put my finger on who it is, but there's one
- 56:24somebody that I think with that somebody. Maybe is Zach Levine from the Bulls,
- 56:30Maybe is Damar DeRozan, just that one somebody. Great move of putting
- 56:36Austin Reeves, because what Austin Reeves did, it's no discredit to him.
- 56:43That's why they called it the sixth Man Award. You know, when you
- 56:47get something named you know how valuable that must be. Like, if we
- 56:52own a team, one of our main objectives is we gotta find a six
- 56:58man. One of the biggest problems here in Atlanta for a long time.
- 57:02Now they don't have no six man. They don't have one guy Scoff exactly.
- 57:08Yeah, yeah, good teams have that one person that is known to
- 57:15come just give you twenty two. Right, he ain't gonna get he'd be
- 57:20load managing the rest of the time, but he gonna come to the Lakers
- 57:23looking strong in this game. Now, Now, what happens? Now,
- 57:28what happens? D season? Tournament's over? Oh, they go back to
- 57:31playing tonight. No, I'm saying, but do they disappear the Lakers?
- 57:35Do the stars disappear? Do they start load managing the start? Well,
- 57:39this would be the first time. We don't know what's gonna happen. Now
- 57:42if they're trying to win any of the awards, like you know, make
- 57:45all NBA, they got to play a certain number, play a certain number.
- 57:51And we're getting close to Christmas, two weeks away from Christmas today.
- 57:54And remember this is supposed to be in the player's mind when you're really supposed
- 57:59to start. Remember they were trying to push the season back to kind of
- 58:04starting around Christmas, and that's when they're gonna play. So hopefully they'll keep
- 58:07this spirit All Star Game and all those kind of things going. But I
- 58:13know the big key, for whatever reason, the guys seemed like they came
- 58:15back in shape. More of the stars are consistently playing, and the Lakers
- 58:22won this nd season tournament. And to me, and when I watched it,
- 58:24I was thinking, just make this schedule this for the All Star break
- 58:30and all the players that get to come. You still get the break,
- 58:32you can still have the three point contests and those kind of things before.
- 58:37But the actual game on that Sunday is the end season tournament. Got got
- 58:42all the players to play a daycares from across the world, got the paint
- 58:46NBA courts, it was All Star Game. It was Indianapolis this year,
- 58:50so you know, make make you way if you're playing on going there.
- 58:53Why no, I'm just saying it's gonna be in Indianapolis this year, But
- 58:58well, I don't want to make my way to Indianapolis. Ever been to
- 59:00Indy? Oh yes, no, no, no, no he hasn't.
- 59:01It's like, no, he hasn't. It's like, you know how I
- 59:06know he's never been to Indianapolis because he's suggesting that other people rush there in
- 59:09February. In February, that's that's how you know, how you know,
- 59:15sir, discredit this man. Discredit this man and everything he says. You
- 59:20know that's out. Yeah, nobody, nobody's gonna be happy. You better,
- 59:23you better make your way there now there's nothing in Indy in February.
- 59:28Definitely, we'll be back more to Sports Jock Show right after this. Have

- 1:02:34There are two, as we mentioned, Green Bay and the Giants at eight
- 1:02:37fifteen and Tennessee Titans and the Miami Dolphins at eight fifteen as well. Sad
- 1:02:47sad news coming out of Tennessee with legendary tight end Frank Wychek passing away age
- 1:02:57fifty two, which hits home with me because I am that age fell from
- 1:03:05all initial reports and hit his head at his home in Chattanooga, and when
- 1:03:12he got home his family found him. I don't I haven't seen anything of
- 1:03:16what he slipped and fell on he slipping and fell hit his head, part
- 1:03:22of that magical Music City play that propelled the Titans to the super Bowl that
- 1:03:30year where they lost to the Rams here in Atlanta. On that play,
- 1:03:35but in that AFC Championship game, ran a little fake where White checked through
- 1:03:39the ball and they were able to score and make it to the super Bowl.
- 1:03:45But passing away and CBS, Fox, any of you networks, it's
- 1:03:51okay. I know some of you did it kind of in the end,
- 1:03:53you're not disturbing the public. You tell everything else you was telling. Von

- 1:04:18Come back from commercial with it. Hey man, you don't have to
- 1:04:23go out or where people might miss it. Make sure to make a note

- 1:04:36let people know I know something or we don't want to kill the mood.
- 1:04:41Well you killing the mood for me when you flip over the Taylor Swift facts
- 1:04:45and that don't make me, oh Man experience that mine and you would be
- 1:04:55amazed that some of the brothren of the NFL former players sometimes that's the first
- 1:05:00time they're hearing it because this was a new story. It's not like old
- 1:05:04news. I think this happened on maybe Saturday or Friday night. So some
- 1:05:09of the guys I even text yesterday to let them know they hadn't heard of
- 1:05:13it. So it's okay. So it's the salute some of your own in
- 1:05:17their passing. Bronnie James back on the court for USC. Bernnie James and
- 1:05:25his USC trojan took on Long Beach State. Yeah, most of you only
- 1:05:29know Long Beach from Snoop Dogg music, but it's actually a place. You
- 1:05:36know. You can't say that other part came for Bernnie James only scoring four
- 1:05:45points, but that's beside the point. Who cares how many points he scored.
- 1:05:48A young man at a young age, four years removed from cardiac arrest
- 1:05:55and people that have cardiac arrest stayed in our minds. Hank Gathers, Reggie
- 1:06:00Lewis. Some of you don't remember those names, basketball players that passed away
- 1:06:04on the court. Jeff Green. Every time I see Jeff Green play,
- 1:06:09He's still in the NBA, just has to be about his fifteen sixteenth year.
- 1:06:14Some people forget Jeff greened the small forward. He had a heart like
- 1:06:18his first or second year, had to have heart surgery. When I see
- 1:06:23him, I'll be thinking, what motivated you to keep and these about these
- 1:06:26fourteen fifteen, sixteen years deep in the league. Now, just those kind
- 1:06:31of cases. Shaquille's so sharif to me, It's just something that touches me
- 1:06:36for someone who tries to fight back. Because cardiac arrest most of us change
- 1:06:40everything, right. Definitely not getting back comment. I mean, bad producer
- 1:06:45was just talking about one of his friends the other night in the game.
- 1:06:47Game. Yeah, hard referee beating out of his heart. They passed out,
- 1:06:51and you know it was scary, you know it's I mean, it's
- 1:06:57really like you said, we at the same age. I mean, he's
- 1:07:00younger than me, you know, this young man younger than me. I
- 1:07:01think thinking he had better shape than me. I'm looking at him, you
- 1:07:05know, ex military. I'm like, man, if I could just get
- 1:07:09and then you know, you don't know. So that's why I say we
- 1:07:12just and I was gonna ask you with him, and I'm quite sure you
- 1:07:14didn't. Just I'm always on that caffeine induce pills and stuff. I wonder
- 1:07:23if he had taken a five hour energy or some of that those pills that
- 1:07:29you can out with the count. I mean you go to the to the
- 1:07:30CIT code or the seven eleven. Then by the same time, you're just
- 1:07:33looking for that booth. You've had a long day, especially in something like
- 1:07:38refereeing, where you've gone and worked the job right, and you're looking for
- 1:07:43a little pick me up, pick me up, get me through this last
- 1:07:45couple of hours. You know. I know I'm up here up at six
- 1:07:48during this show, I have to game the night based on how I feel.
- 1:07:54At four o'clock. I might have to take me a little swig of
- 1:07:56red Bull, because remember what I got to go do. I gotta go
- 1:07:59bring energy right. It ain't just sitting there getting through it. I gotta
- 1:08:02act like I just woke up. I gave him a guy number No.
- 1:08:05No, no, no, no, no, be up for the next
- 1:08:12up, for the whole championship playoff seats, like don't even go back home,
- 1:08:16just sitting at the bend to hey man, y'all don't need to come
- 1:08:21to mind. I'll do all the games. There's no games playing, and
- 1:08:26he's still broadcasting. To my knowledge, he hadn't had anything to that.
- 1:08:30He even even just coffee. I'm just saying, when you do those kinds
- 1:08:34of things, and then most of what what time was the game? We
- 1:08:38started five thirty? So a lot of times people have worked a job or
- 1:08:45lived the whole day and lived the day in the band, I gotta go
- 1:08:46do something that that demands me to almost like I just woke up, or
- 1:08:53you know you want that mine? I don't. I don't want a referee
- 1:08:55who's on a dimmer right right. I see that a lot in comedy,
- 1:09:00because a lot of the shows don't even start till ten o'clock, some of
- 1:09:02them midnight or later. And you've lived your entire day, and now you
- 1:09:09got to go be this energetic entity. And people do things to get themselves
- 1:09:15Zion Williamson, as I talked about with the n Season Tournament, the Lakers
- 1:09:19beat the Pelicans in the semi finals. A lot of rumbling about Zion Williamson
- 1:09:26still not for the Pelicans, the superstar young man, still not taking advice
- 1:09:33of the Pelicans and shedding weight. I think his weight limit is like two
- 1:09:40ninety and some reports now they wouldn't know unless they snuck into the locker room.
- 1:09:45But the one report says he's about two eighty. So he's just brought
- 1:09:54hisself a little room from it. I feel like he needs to get down
- 1:09:57to two sixty. But he didn't do well in the game against the Lakers
- 1:10:01and the Pelicans. You ever think Zion is gonna because this is year four?
- 1:10:08Five? Wow, it's been five years that fast seems like four but
- 1:10:14two of the me we barely played, right, that's true everything? Because
- 1:10:19he's twenty what four now? Yeah? Okay, so he's in that twenty
- 1:10:25four year age four year old age range? Is it gonna hit him?
- 1:10:31Do you ever see the light bulb going off? I don't know. I
- 1:10:34mean you got the fans. They continue on to blame his extracurricular activities outside
- 1:10:41of basketball. That's one of his problems as far as his weight gain and
- 1:10:45not taking seriously, what the Pelicans have put before him to be to lose
- 1:10:50that weight. So I'm not for sure. I mean I wish to you
- 1:10:55know, Dumn the best because I mean he's a good talent. You know,
- 1:11:00you see him going to the hole, going to the hole of his
- 1:11:02game. He's got to work on this jump shot. If he's plating on
- 1:11:05the continue to play basketball, he's got to be a great deadly shooter because
- 1:11:10sooner or later that weight not gonna be able to move. And we saw
- 1:11:13this with and Zion is definitely two three times more athletic than the guys I'm
- 1:11:19gonna say, but they still fell in that same and one of them has
- 1:11:24passed if I remember correctly, remember tractor Trailer, the big Robert Traylor,
- 1:11:31he passed away, right, So I'm not talking about him in bat I'm
- 1:11:34just saying people who was in the league that is always kind of like if
- 1:11:38he could just shed a little weight, and Glenn, big Baby Davis,
- 1:11:43you felt like his career could have went a little longer or had a little
- 1:11:47more explosiveness, but he was just gonna play it out in that weight frame.
- 1:11:55And Zion is tremendously more athletic now those guys were, but you know,
- 1:12:01as young, it's okay. Do you think that a lot of what
- 1:12:05happens with a zion and this is just projecting or trying to put myself in
- 1:12:15his mindset A lot of what it used to be with sports is. I
- 1:12:19can remember in the William Perry days, they had strict weight limits on him.
- 1:12:25He had to get in and if you couldn't meet you weight limits,
- 1:12:28he had financial penalties and all that attached to it. Now, weight has
- 1:12:32been the way we view it has been shifted to if you're on somebody about
- 1:12:36their weight, that way, you're bullying them, You're maligning their self esteem,
- 1:12:41that kind of thing. So do you think part of him kind of
- 1:12:44feels like, I don't really have to apply myself to this because I'm not
- 1:12:47going to let you bully me. And then there may be some people like,
- 1:12:49hey, you got to be careful how you approach him about losing the
- 1:12:54weight. He's losing ten pounds and the weight loss community is something to be
- 1:12:59celebrated. Now the fact that he needs to lose twenty more, we can't
- 1:13:02really talk about that. I just think that him skipping, as I always
- 1:13:06tell the babbro dow so that that year he would have taken his sophomore year
- 1:13:12in college where they take off the kid gloves, right, he would have
- 1:13:16dropped take back twenty twenty five pounds in that Hey fact, you were you
- 1:13:21in the stadiums in the morning, and you know not everybody just fat,
- 1:13:26and you know coach k would had a dietitian program and him being coming from
- 1:13:30that military background, that have you in that situation where you would understand your
- 1:13:34body even more once you leave the school. So there, I mean there's
- 1:13:39a he has a weight clause. It looks like two ninety five is the
- 1:13:43limit. Yeah, that's what I said, two ninety five is the limit.
- 1:13:45Oh so see but somebody but they're they're saying he's only about he's still
- 1:13:49about to eighty five. I would see that's he think he win it.
- 1:13:57I got about fifteen more than one hush point. We'll be back with more

- 1:15:26behavior has become normalized at interscholastic athletic events. Some fan seem angry, they
- 1:15:31lack civility toward one another. Some even get aggressive and unruly. Time out
- 1:15:40What is going on. This has to stop. Let's not forget. School
- 1:15:45sports aren't just about winning, and they're definitely not an excuse to take your
- 1:15:48frustrations out on the official or the opponent. They're about teaching lessons like perseverance,
- 1:15:55respect and empathy so students can learn and grow as people, not just
- 1:16:00as players. We all have a role to play in setting a good example
- 1:16:04for our students and teaching them these important values. So fans, it's time
- 1:16:10to step up your game and behave positively at interscholastic athletic events in Georgia.
- 1:16:15This message presented by the GHSA and the Directors Association. And now back to
- 1:16:27the sports John Wayne Gandy welma to this war shock show. I'm the sports
- 1:16:50Shock Wayne Cane. A couple of birthdays here today and yesterday. Hall of
- 1:16:55famer John Randall of the Vikings fifty six years old. Ed Oliver who you
- 1:17:00saw yesterday for the Bills, A young tackle twenty six, Tyron Smith with
- 1:17:05the Cowboys that left tackle thirty three. Jacoby Brissett. Who is he backing
- 1:17:12up now? Jacoby Brissett? I think it's the commanders, Commanders okay,
- 1:17:17thirty one years old, Jacoby Brissette, Roman Harper, you see him on
- 1:17:21SEC Network. Longtime New Orleans Saints forty one. Willie McGinnis. We haven't
- 1:17:28heard it from Willie since he got arrested for beating the man up at the
- 1:17:32restaurant. If y'all remember that story. Yeah, Usually after you get caught
- 1:17:36on camera beating the person up at the restaurant, it'll make you beat low
- 1:17:40key for a while. Fifty two years old. Aliah Balston WNBA star twenty
- 1:17:45two. Most deaf is fifty, Monique the comedian fifty six years old,
- 1:17:51Holly Steinfeld, the actress twenty seven, Bobby Flay the chef fifty nine,
- 1:17:59Tianna Tatler actress music thirty three years old, Raven Simone is thirty eight,
- 1:18:05and Joe Burrow is twenty seven years of age. Atlanta Counts of Men has
- 1:18:14proposed a band on mask and hoods, saying the bill will hinder crime.
- 1:18:21We have seen a lot of this since COVID, where COVID you were asked
- 1:18:26to especially with the mask. But they are having a band on ski masks
- 1:18:31and hoods. Some civil rights activists believes this band could lead to racial profiling,
- 1:18:40explain that to me, Comanche, Well, these items are popular among
- 1:18:46the African American kids. And ski mask, yeah, yeah, and no
- 1:18:53matter where the time of year, no, no, it's they don't go
- 1:18:57skiing. But a lot of times what it is is African American kids do
- 1:19:02stupid stuff and they attached their fads to things that might get them harassed by
- 1:19:12the police, and then they want to die on those heels, like no,
- 1:19:15I want to wear my robbers mask. Why can't I wear my robbers
- 1:19:18mask? And everybody it's like saying, let's just all be cowboys. You
- 1:19:23know what I'm saying, there will be no cops and robbers. Let's just
- 1:19:26all play cops. And they're like, no, I want to be robbers
- 1:19:29sometimes, and now they still want to wear a mask. But the thing
- 1:19:32is, the councilmen who introduced the legislation has put forth statistics where a great
- 1:19:38many of the crimes, the murders, the robberies, the assaults, the
- 1:19:44armed invasions, have this accessory attached to it. And it's one of those
- 1:19:50things because of where post COVID it used to be. Where a person walks
- 1:19:56in with a ski mask, everybody gets a little bit upset. But now
- 1:20:00that it's supposed to be some sort of fad. It's got normalized, and
- 1:20:04so you walk in there thinking you're just a teenager, but you end up
- 1:20:08being an armed and seeing the crazy thing we talk about this, They will
- 1:20:12allowing you, for a moment walk in banks with the masks on, whether
- 1:20:15it's a ski mask or search or mask mask for COVID in the stores.
- 1:20:20You see this, and now all of a sudden they want to pull back.
- 1:20:23But they didn't think about this in the beginning. Well, there was
- 1:20:26a pandemic that was taking life, so they figured that we'll let you live
- 1:20:31live and then, as humans do in any situation, we start taking advantage
- 1:20:39of that ability to cover our face, exploited and exploited it. So I
- 1:20:45don't know that as you try to always land it on the people who I
- 1:20:48implemented it, thinking I was going to help with the health concern, not
- 1:20:53that you was going to start trying to exploit it. And we don't do
- 1:20:57six feet anymore either, don't do a lot of things right, So why
- 1:21:01are we still wearing the mask? And why are you still arguing to wear
- 1:21:04the mask? That's what I'm saying. But it's because because because like black
- 1:21:10teenagers, you're known to do stupid stuff. But I just wonder today,
- 1:21:15are you for the band? I think it's it's more of just coming after
- 1:21:21a yes, I would say no, no, so you don't want a
- 1:21:27band? No, I don't think it's that it's not that big of a
- 1:21:31deal, and I mean it does. It doesn't feel that way. I
- 1:21:34think to the people that's getting robbed by people in ski masks and hoods,
- 1:21:36it might be big. Kenny. I'm in favor of the band, and
- 1:21:42I know people rob people. You see what I know? People rob people.
- 1:21:45And I'm still like, no, don't get rid of the mask.
- 1:21:50I think we can. We can discard the the man, the ski mask.
- 1:21:57The ski masks shouldn't be in and shouldn't been in rotation anyway. So
- 1:22:02yeah, I'm for the band. I know where the bad producers on all
- 1:22:06of that. There's video of Quavo taking some karate classes. Did you see
- 1:22:15it? Quavo of the Migos. He was breaking some boards, But then
- 1:22:21I saw the next picture and he was eating sushi off of a naked woman.
- 1:22:28So I guess it was a karate because we've all done am I right,
- 1:22:32We've all done both we've all broke aboard with our hand and then eating
- 1:22:36some sushi off a naked chicken, right am, I right? So I
- 1:22:40didn't know if it was all inclusive type experience. It's right, the Asian
- 1:22:45package. But my man, I would imagine he would find that kind of
- 1:22:53place to have that kind of fun. And Big Kenny says that now if
- 1:22:58you go to Chuck e Cheese, there won't be any more of the animal
- 1:23:01bands, the things that Chuck e Cheese is trying to move into the future.
- 1:23:06Uh So the old Chuck e Cheese and the rat and the band playing
- 1:23:12it might be a thing of a pass or it might just be in your
- 1:23:15area. Uh sometimes, you know, you go to smaller towns, those
- 1:23:19people still want that kind of feel. We can't we can't afford the digital
- 1:23:24boards. So no, no, no, no, no, not on
- 1:23:26the Chuck e Cheese. I'm saying, I'm talking about the traditional Yes,
- 1:23:30what they grew up with, where the whole rat meets you at the door.
- 1:23:34Right, Things like that have to be because some people that's what they
- 1:23:39went there for exactly, and that demographic in that region will push back on
- 1:23:45it being modernized and all of that well, no different than they sell certain
- 1:23:49sandwiches in certain regions at certain times more than others. I know here we
- 1:23:54love the but what is it the peach milkshake at Chick fil A? You
- 1:24:00know, I'm quite sure in other places where some other fruit might they might
- 1:24:03have something a different flavor for that region. So no more rat at Chuck
- 1:24:09E Cheese for you parents. We'll be back with more the sports. Some
- 1:24:14of the kids are scared of the rat though, and we'll be back right
- 1:24:18after this. Nobody, nobody know where to go where we don't go,

- 1:27:40Miami trying to go ten and three take over the top seat in the af
- 1:27:45C. They would be tied with the Ravens and the Green Bay Packers,
- 1:27:50fighting for their playoff hopes at six and six against the New York Giants.
- 1:27:56New York Giants quarterback Tommy Davido had a beer Italian beer named after him last
- 1:28:02week called Tommy Cutlets. I don't know. I think they said it was
- 1:28:08a pillsner. I'm not a beer drinker, so I wouldn't know. But
- 1:28:12what is a pillsner different than It's different than a logger. Yeah it's different.
- 1:28:19Yeah, Yeah, it's more yeast based. Is a no, don't
- 1:28:26google comans you, I'm looking at the I believe pilsners are a little bit
- 1:28:34more refined. Laggers are more like the brown sugar of beer, and Pilsner's
- 1:28:41are more like the refined white sugar where it's been through a different kind of
- 1:28:46maturing process and heating and pasteurized. The domestic and an import one is yeah,
- 1:28:59it's all the name science. Who's a man Cleaveland yesterday, No ordinary
- 1:29:06Joe out there, Joe Flaco throwing for three touchdowns, win interception, leading
- 1:29:13this Cleveland Browns team keeping their playoff hopes alive. Eight and five. Now,
- 1:29:18the Browns beating the Jaguars. The Jaguars who Trevor Lawrence up the last
- 1:29:25week, a lot of people felt like he was not going to play,
- 1:29:28but gave it a great shot. Three interceptions. Now, whether that ankle
- 1:29:33really was the issue or he might have just been pressing against a pretty great
- 1:29:38defense. That the Browns have, the Flaco Show winning once again. Two
- 1:29:45good games for Joe in a row. But right now the Jags are eight
- 1:29:51and five, the Browns are eight and five. As I said, four
- 1:29:57weeks to go, things are getting fair tight around the league. The jack
- 1:30:02still winning their division with that record, and you Cleveland Flying fans, remember
- 1:30:11Joe Flacco, that style and how you play your offense works well for a
- 1:30:16season. Maybe to even something to pattern with Deshaun Watson more of a run
- 1:30:23game, play action fake. Joe's been there before. This is the kind
- 1:30:27of team he won a Super Bowl with. Now, this Browns defense is
- 1:30:30not the Ravens defense, but I'm saying it was based off of the defense
- 1:30:34is gonna hold and we just need you not to turn the ball over kind
- 1:30:39of scenario. So Joe Flacco thirty one twenty seven, Brown's over the Jags,
- 1:30:45baltimoreton go ahead. Now, I was gonna say he's been named the
- 1:30:47official starter for the rest of the season. Also, they they announced that
- 1:30:51this morning. Well yeah, that's good to stop all that week to week
- 1:30:57kind of conversation. Just pick a quarterback. It's gonna be this guy.
- 1:31:01Yeah. Thirty seven thirty one, the Ravens winning, pushing their record at
- 1:31:05ten and three over the Rams. Rams punching hard in that first half,
- 1:31:11really taking it to the Ravens. Ravens needing overtime and a punt return touchdown
- 1:31:17there for them in this game. But you rarely see any kind of punt
- 1:31:25kickoff return with all the different rule changes. It's so good to see some
- 1:31:29special team plays but seventy six a good punt return, and Kansas City chief
- 1:31:34says, so you know the officials missed of blocking the back in this game
- 1:31:39too. On this punt return, one of the Rams players got blocked in
- 1:31:42the back. Hey, it happens, as they say, if you didn't,
- 1:31:45you shouldn't went to overtime. But the Rams lost thirty seven thirty one.
- 1:31:50Their playoff hopes slim now at six and seven in that scenario where they
- 1:31:58would have to win all for games. I know they play Washington this week
- 1:32:01out in LA and the Ravens behind Lamar Jackson not having to do much on
- 1:32:10the ground running the ball. I still don't like that. It'ch each and
- 1:32:14every game I see him as the leading rusher. The only thing I don't
- 1:32:18like. I think he can be your second leading rusher. But you should
- 1:32:21have enough ring game. You've had enough picks and you know, and I
- 1:32:26know he makes a lot of it up because he has your ad live.
- 1:32:29But that's okay every other week, but every week I hit the button of
- 1:32:32rushing. You're leading rusher. I wanted to ask Jane, do you think
- 1:32:36that is a byproduct of them drawing up plays where he is asked to rush,
- 1:32:45or do you think that is what I thought I will sing yesterday?
- 1:32:47Is him trying to manage his natural inclination to break and run with their desire
- 1:32:55for him to stay in the pocket and throw the ball. There were times
- 1:32:58when he would break and get the first down and look like I still can
- 1:33:01get some more, and then something would go you're supposed to get down now,
- 1:33:05and then he would react to that like, okay, yeah, I
- 1:33:08am supposed to fall down, and he would fall down. But there were
- 1:33:11a lot of times when it was just like that switch would go off and
- 1:33:15he would start doing the Lamar thing, And I wonder how much of that
- 1:33:19is them and how much of that is him both. It's a combo.
- 1:33:24It's a combo. Okay. In moments when he takes off, he's being
- 1:33:28Lamar Jackson, and then he remembers that he can be Lamar to a certain
- 1:33:34point. Right, So don't take it to the point where somebody starts hitting
- 1:33:39you. When you think somebody that's when Jim John Harball kicks off in his
- 1:33:43head. Get down, do your thing, but don't do all of it,
- 1:33:47because we need you and I'm not trying to minimize when he runs.
- 1:33:50I'm saying, I would like to feel I feel more comfortable with saying,
- 1:33:55oh, they are going to win or be in the super Bowl if I
- 1:33:58could find somebody else that can and run the ball for them that he doesn't
- 1:34:02have because it subjects him to too many hits over the you know, and
- 1:34:06right now, you know you got to have Lamar at least fifth in your
- 1:34:13MVP race. Right now after yesterday's performance, you have to go with Dak.
- 1:34:19I got Dak at one, Tyreek Hill at two right in there,
- 1:34:27brought Purty. Possibly it's close right up there. That's a close little race
- 1:34:32of the effect brought pretty Dak Prescott, Tyreek Hill, who you got?
- 1:34:39Who you got? Bad producer? Tyreek? And A J. Brown?
- 1:34:42Right now? A start all down Jackson close third, Lamar You got Tyreek
- 1:34:48first, A J. Brown and then and then Lamar a little close third.
- 1:34:54He's saying, as far as impact on the team, know when I
- 1:34:57watch it, because all season I had AG but last three four games,
- 1:35:00AJ's been slipping down, Tyreek has gone ahead, and we've watched doctor Rock
- 1:35:05Purty and in my opinion, Dak Prescott, you think it's the scene Jalen
- 1:35:13hurts and moving up in that. You think it's the defense on Aj right
- 1:35:18now, I mean the last couple of games, because last night he is
- 1:35:21like second half he really got involved. I mean a little bit more.
- 1:35:28It's just like he's like he's out there. He's not like he like I
- 1:35:30said, he was making everything the whole game. He's only playing the last
- 1:35:34three games, like he's only playing half half half of games. Well,
- 1:35:40he needs Devonte Smith because it works in kind of tandem. It has to
- 1:35:44be somebody to balance the field so they can't feel like they can double cover
- 1:35:46you. Because I've been preaching AJ Brown for at least the first half of
- 1:35:51the season was for what he was doing for the team. Dallas yesterday thirty
- 1:35:57three the Eagles thirteen. Hey he got a j TS. Yeah, I
- 1:36:03guess I get it if I got a Jets jet Yet he got Cowboys riding
- 1:36:12big. Yesterday, Eagles offense able to score one touchdown that was it for
- 1:36:19them. The other touchdown was Jalen Carter, the big defensive tackle, scooping
- 1:36:25up a fumble of Dak Prescott and running it in for a touchdown. Dak
- 1:36:30Prescott throwing for two touchdowns yesterday in this game, and the Dallas defense just
- 1:36:34looks like it was up for the occasion and had that kind of feel like
- 1:36:40enough is enough when you watch them play. Michael Parsons and those guys really
- 1:36:45got after the Eagles yesterday. So great game for Dallas. Now that division
- 1:36:51is tied up, both teams ten and three. If the playoffs started the
- 1:36:56day, the Cowboys would have one that the vision. So we'll see how
- 1:37:02this goes with four games to go. I think the Eagles have u the
- 1:37:06easier of the schedules of the between the two. The Cowboys have at least
- 1:37:13three teams that are in the playoff picture. The Eagles have maybe one.
- 1:37:16But we will see how the Cowboys and Dak Prescott, I know you can.
- 1:37:21You can smile, Comanche smile. I didn't get to see the game.
- 1:37:26That's my disappointment. I didn't get to see it either. That's what
- 1:37:29I said, killing me with the good game and love to show me that
- 1:37:33Thursday night action. I wonder how that ain't showing me nothing right, That's
- 1:37:39not thing. I wonder how long they'll do this dance. The n f
- 1:37:43L will do this dance with this NBC affiliate because this game is very important,
- 1:37:48and you know this is one of those reps. Check. Yeah,
- 1:37:51you're right. They got the direct TV I cut you to check, so
- 1:37:57you get it. You got it in the mail, Okay, So don't
- 1:38:00worry. He said he didn't see the game. No, that's between you
- 1:38:06and them. I paid you. That ain't got nothing to do with NBC.
- 1:38:12I paid the NFL. Right now, Infinity is like, see,
- 1:38:15I told you, I told you how to leave. So the Cowboys riding
- 1:38:18high. I'm been playing some great football over the last month. The Eagles
- 1:38:23have been staggered. I don't know if they had start reading their press clippings
- 1:38:28or I thought it was going to be easy. And Dak Prescott starting to
- 1:38:31impress. MVP race coming down right now. Him brought Purty who exploded yesterday
- 1:38:40for the forty nine ers, Him and that offense and Deebo. I don't
- 1:38:44know what they clocked you at at on the forty but nobody catches debau But

- 1:42:11That Tony Romo as a commentator makes it seem like he was something he was.
- 1:42:15Tom Brady and the three of us, none of us agree with that.
- 1:42:18I think Tony Romo does a good job. He makes fun of himself.
- 1:42:23Uh, he plays like he was just thankful that the league didn't find
- 1:42:27out when they introduce him. And with us, the great Tony Romo was
- 1:42:33okay, it was okay, guys, It's it's all right. I was
- 1:42:40undrafted. I threw enough to get on the field, had a little Hollywood,
- 1:42:45you know, Jessica Simpson and the Underwood dates, and I made it.
- 1:42:51And now y'all gave me this gig. I met Jerry. He hooked
- 1:42:54me up. That's all that man. He didn't talk in a first person.
- 1:42:59He didn't I would have made this throw. He hasn't said none of
- 1:43:01that. I would have got out of trouble. He ain't look at that.
- 1:43:08They call that quarterback And in the NFL today, is that what they
- 1:43:11mistake for quarterback? Well, all I'm saying is I remember once I was
- 1:43:15scrambling left and walking on water at the same time. Yeah, he doesn't
- 1:43:18give you any of that kind of commentary. Baddus. Shame on you,
- 1:43:23Shame on you, Shame on you for even trying to throw that man.
- 1:43:26Just won't get that man any credit for shame seven hundred million. Show he
- 1:43:30a Tony. The only thing I don't understand about baseball is that we have
- 1:43:34tried. We have tried millions of time with these big contracts, and I'm
- 1:43:42always staggered. Not about the money money, as I told you, is
- 1:43:45about timing. Show he a Tony. He plays two position basically based on
- 1:43:51what two positions, based on what day. He can strike out twelve people,
- 1:43:57and he also can hit three home runs. And the Dodgers and the
- 1:44:00Yankees are famous for overpaying people famous. My thing was, I would like
- 1:44:05to see somebody come up with a algorithm for when these kind of contracts have
- 1:44:13paid those dividends, Because seven hundred million, you would think would be for
- 1:44:19the four players that I'm about to get that's gonna take me to the World
- 1:44:24Series. And a lot of times you see these contracts and you forget that
- 1:44:30those people are in the show, as they call it. Yeah, so
- 1:44:35show he a Tony with the big historical contract, the richest contract and history
- 1:44:41of American sports. I can't say that I'm shocked at it at all.
- 1:44:46As I said, we knew this was coming. When you win the MVP
- 1:44:50two years back to back and you're only twenty five years old and you strike
- 1:44:57out people, you're up for the cy young and the home run. Yeah,
- 1:45:00I mean that's that's but they don't even they don't even play that kind
- 1:45:03of baseball anymore. Where the picture hits. Think about it. They changed
- 1:45:08the whole National League and added a d H so the picture get off them.
- 1:45:15And this man is doing something that used to be common. Was how
- 1:45:20baseball really started. Now it's not. What do you all thin guys think?
- 1:45:24Real quick before we Uh, money laundering, so much money laundering in
- 1:45:29baseball. It's ten years seven minute. You might not even be around in
- 1:45:34ten years. How we know you're even gonna be alive in ten years.
- 1:45:38We're gonna give you that money in a different world. And I think that
- 1:45:44it's interesting that he's staying in a market that will still be able to drive
- 1:45:49that type of investment. You couldn't You couldn't put that in Arizona. Well,
- 1:45:55he most likely was already living in La Yeah, I'm saying because he
- 1:45:58was Angels, right, And that's what I'm saying. Anaheim is only like
- 1:46:01forty miles from They kept him with a team that's still on the West coast
- 1:46:06where the fans and the fan base, because they couldn't have put him where
- 1:46:11in Cleveland. Cleveland can That's what I'm saying. He can't afford. They
- 1:46:16can't afford him with with Cleveland like he his expected salary is more than eight
- 1:46:24teams entire payroll for exactly so there was own There were only a few teams
- 1:46:30even capable of bringing him to their franchise, right and well, but even
- 1:46:34if they could, does it get you where you want to go? Right?
- 1:46:41Right? He's just one person. He's just one guy, right,
- 1:46:43he's so but he's an exceptional athlete, but he's still just one guy.
- 1:46:46So now to invest in him, and he's this dual threat. If he
- 1:46:50goes down, that's two weapons that you don't have because now you don't have
- 1:46:57the hitting or the pitching. So bad producer, you know, it's amazing
- 1:47:01that that type of money. But he's that player. He's he's playing,
- 1:47:06he's hit the ball, he's pitching. Like you said, he's a throwback
- 1:47:10from what you know, most people do before they reached the major So most
- 1:47:14time you got guys in college who played two ways. But it's well deserved.
- 1:47:18I mean, he's earned it. Do you think he will he's the
- 1:47:23difference maker. He gonna get him over the hunt. I don't. I
- 1:47:27don't know. You still got to have He's only pitching one day a week,
- 1:47:30so you know he's got the other picture is gonna have to step up.
- 1:47:33Rest of the teammates going to step up and put that same type of
- 1:47:38energy for the Dodgers if they want to be able to compete in the in
- 1:47:42the National League West. Still there, I think, I think still there?
- 1:47:47And I wonder after this surgery. Will they move show? Would he
- 1:47:50still be a starting pitcher or will they move him to the middle reliever?
- 1:48:00Know a Tony it's gonna start. Yeah, but he had shoulder surgery.
- 1:48:03Correct what he won't Uh, he won't pitch next year. He'll pitch in
- 1:48:10twenty twenty five because he did have the the Tommy John Tommy John. Now,
- 1:48:15Now, should there bill he'll still hit? Should there be some sort
- 1:48:20of performance requirement? No, that's not how it works. I know you,
- 1:48:28but I'm trying to think you want to. It's not staggered, I
- 1:48:30know, but I'm upset he's not pitching to twenty But we got to give
- 1:48:34him the money. Money. He's still hitting, You can still hit,
- 1:48:38Yeah, but I mean for the pitching though. Part of that money for
- 1:48:41the pitching. I'm like, I'm with Sean Watson. Got two fifty guaranteed,
- 1:48:45remind me and the play off season. I'm still man, That's what
- 1:48:48I said. Money is just about timing. It's not about right his crazy
- 1:48:55everybody, this is a baseball that we'll be back for more than sports shock

- 1:51:26Wayney, Now it's time for the school board when we put a spin on
- 1:51:32life and sports and how they intermingle on the Sports Jack Show with Wayne Gandy's
- 1:51:59back to the show. This for shuck Wayne ken t as I said earlier
- 1:52:02in the show, John Moran December to nineteen should be back for the Memphis
- 1:52:06Grizzlies against the Pelicans. So mark that down. We'll talk about it a
- 1:52:12couple of more times before that happens. John Rahm, who has decided that
- 1:52:19he will leave the PGA and join Live Golf for the big pay date.
- 1:52:27Come man, you Greg, big Kenny, bad producer. I mean,
- 1:52:31this is the new world, right it is. It's go with the money
- 1:52:35is guaranteed guarantee. Now let's let anybody want to google what that means guarantee
- 1:52:43as sho a tani, what guaranteed means bad producer? Did you see this
- 1:52:47coming? You're a golf official, Yeah, I see, I see it
- 1:52:50with a lot of the gentleman because you got several different leagues and the money
- 1:52:57is out there and these guys are looking at the guaranteed money and the opportunity
- 1:53:00to still to play, and the only thing and it's not gonna hurt wrong
- 1:53:05because he still could be able to still be on the Roder Cup. For
- 1:53:09Europeans, it's only with America that we want to punish our guys from because
- 1:53:14they went over and you can't be on the Ryder Cup. But the Europeans
- 1:53:16say, we're trying to win, so but I there's also rumors that not
- 1:53:21only John Rong, but if Tony Fenow, who's another big name, a
- 1:53:26big top American golfer, he may be one of the American golfers that's making
- 1:53:31the next step to join the live golf. It was it was funny.
- 1:53:38It was a thing that was talking about if liv could play, players could
- 1:53:44play against the PGA players. Now it'll just be a blowout. Well,
- 1:53:48I can imagine that the PGA, which is an American brand, I would
- 1:53:53have regulations and stipulations too. You're going to my competitor in a sense,
- 1:53:58You're you're going you know, i'm McDonald's, you're burger king, and I
- 1:54:03got rules? Is that not correct? Right? If I'm the manager at
- 1:54:08or I can't have a Grimmas dancing outside Burger King for two hours and then
- 1:54:13coming back to McDonald. You understand I'm saying, you said it as though
- 1:54:16the PGA I would have some restrictions about going to play for my competitor,
- 1:54:23right, well, And the sad thing is that, you know, the
- 1:54:27media is really now saying that this man's legacy is tarnished and he's not gonna
- 1:54:32be the same, and you know the awful things that they're saying about the
- 1:54:36other saudiast Is with the money's back in it. But I don't this man's
- 1:54:41legacy is not gonna be tarnished. He's still one of the greatest golfers out
- 1:54:45there. Everybody's gonna it's gonna come full circle here. It's not the first
- 1:54:49time the PGA Tour has been broken up because of money situations. Uh,
- 1:54:55this is the second time in my lifetime that this will happen. And it's
- 1:55:00just done a little differently than what the Americans or have want to see it
- 1:55:05done, because golf was basically started in Europe anyway. So right, I'm
- 1:55:11just putting a nugget in your head because sometimes your toned, maybe it's not
- 1:55:15what you actually feel. You're not looking from the point that I'm my company
- 1:55:24and you're leaving to go help somebody else's company, and you speak as though
- 1:55:29I'm supposed to be on board with that. No, if you're not here,
- 1:55:33if you're not an Auburn Tiger, then forget you. And I don't
- 1:55:39need you at Alabama one week and then you at Tennessee the next week wearing
- 1:55:45their sweatshirted. Did you down at Southern Myths? You will go anywhere they
- 1:55:50have a game. I need you to be at Auburn's games. And now
- 1:55:54this is the thing. It seems to me the PGA has drawn their line
- 1:55:59in the sand where if they're going to eliminate people and live is guaranteeing this
- 1:56:04type of money, a lot of players will leave the PGA, and then
- 1:56:10there'll be some sort of either adjustment or a they'll just consume the PGA.
- 1:56:18At some point, it'll just be they'll either it'll be some sort of takeover
- 1:56:25where we absorb the PGA and all of its techer But but the PGA put
- 1:56:31it back against that. They kept trying to make it political. But these
- 1:56:34golfers are only really looking at the bottom line. It's business for them.
- 1:56:40They're professional athletes, So they're going to go where like a lot of athletes
- 1:56:44go, they can make the best living. But the whole thing I'm just
- 1:56:47saying listening to him as though the PGA, I'm not going to further your
- 1:56:51cause. Whatever I can restrict you from. On my end, I'm going
- 1:56:56to cut you out of. You're not going to go to my competitor and
- 1:56:59then play at my PGA event the way they pussish your choice, right,
- 1:57:03the way they push back on the n I L because you see what it's
- 1:57:06done. So now now everybody's going everywhere. But the thing about it,
- 1:57:11though you still get to play in the Masters, you still get play in
- 1:57:14the Well, I'm not in control of those things, and I can only
- 1:57:16restrict you from what I'm in control. Love and and and that's why I
- 1:57:21say that sooner or later that somebody's gonna have to let's go ahead and come
- 1:57:26together. That's why that's where I'm at. Well, until that happens.
- 1:57:29My wife has to sleep at my house, not at yours. You're making
- 1:57:32it seem like I narried her, but she gets to sleep sleep at your
- 1:57:35house. And I'm supposed to be like cool, baby, go spend the
- 1:57:39night with the bad producing. We'll be cool tomorrow. That's how you're speaking
- 1:57:43about it. And it's like, no, that's not how it's about to
- 1:57:45go down. I got upset just you with that scenario, with just that,
- 1:57:50that hypothetical scenario I didn't got. Is that not how he's speaking about
- 1:57:56it and speaking, oh so be cool with it? No, that's you're
- 1:58:01talking about driving me out of business. Essentially, this blue magic, it's
- 1:58:04blue magic. You don't get by blue magic and go cut it. I
- 1:58:09stand behind and then sell it. That's not how I call it blue magic.
- 1:58:13You got to change the night. Hey, but if you ain't got
- 1:58:15no distro and I got the distro, you got the blue magic, gotta
- 1:58:17come to me. No bad producer. Them little scenarios that you rhyme in
- 1:58:23your head, they don't They don't work, Bro, They be stupid.
- 1:58:29I know you be thinking you dropping dimes since you know the word distro he
- 1:58:34thought he thought he had. He's not even eating. But it's capped,
- 1:58:43he thought the disc ro. Oh man, bro, you are funny dude.
- 1:58:49Whoa twenty eight to twenty eight to six of the Saints over the Panthers.
- 1:58:55The Bears beat up on the Lions. I think a lot of people
- 1:58:59just surprise and the lower scoring game maybe of the season. The Vikings beat
- 1:59:04the Raiders three to zero yesterday. I don't know a game that it can't
- 1:59:10get any lower. I mean, what could it be a safety? Somebody
- 1:59:13would have to win two zero, So no action in that game. And
- 1:59:15we are in the ocean. The truth is he will throw your in the
- 1:59:21ocean. It's time to wrap things up on the Sports June Show with Wayne
- 1:59:28Gandy. When you're the sound of the ocean, it gives the sports Shop,
- 1:59:51Yes a minute to vent. We'd like to thank you for tuning in
- 1:59:56to today to today's show. Remember, if you didn't hear the show,
- 1:59:59you go on Apple Podcasts or Spotify and catch us on the replay. Big
- 2:00:06Kenny commanchie Greg Bad producer, thank you for your contribution. Sad Night Actions,
- 2:00:12Monday Night Football, the Packers and Giants, the Titans and the Dolphins.
- 2:00:17And if you're in the Atlanta area or you just want to watch some
- 2:00:20great high school football, I'll be calling the game tonight. Seven eight excuse
- 2:00:26me one eight Fouden versus one a Manchester, Manchester playing with a heavy heart,
- 2:00:31as one of their players found dead here in the last two days,
- 2:00:36but going into ocean. And I know I've talked about it a lot because
- 2:00:42Big Kenny, Commandchi Greg and the bad Producer has just disgrace the legend of
- 2:00:48MLK and how they put them on their Magic City posters and make punds on
- 2:00:56them on TikTok. But Lenisia Sha Trece Henderson, you took it a little
- 2:01:03too far. Miss Henderson. The twenty six year old decided she's gonna take
- 2:01:10the king legacy to another level when she went down to Auburn Avenue with a
- 2:01:15gas can and trying to set the house on fire. You could see him
- 2:01:20broad daylight, just just sprinking a little gas on the porch. Luckily,
- 2:01:26a couple of observers saw her, call the cops and she has been arrested
- 2:01:31and charged with criminal attempt at parson and interference with government property. I think
- 2:01:40she didn't know that the MLK house is under federal jurisdiction, so that's gonna
- 2:01:48be on you too, young lady. But for attempting to burn down mlk's
- 2:01:56house, Lenisia Sha Trees Henderson and walk up plank a sports job in her
- 2:02:14defense. You can't expect too much from Lensia Chatres. Literally, yeah I
- 2:02:17can. I can expect just the name. Let you know, I can
- 2:02:21expect not to be an arsonist from anybody. Yeah, we could have thought
- 2:02:25that we'll be We could have thought that we'll be having a good week.
- 2:02:29We'll see you later from the Sports Shock Show. Peace, h
