- 0:02Speaker 1: And there's something I want to confess to you.
- 0:05Speaker 2: Oh man, this can never be good.
- 0:08Speaker 1: I'll tell you what we have.
- 0:10Speaker 3: I've made this kind of goal of riding my bicycle
- 0:14Speaker 3: at least one hundred miles by September first, which I
- 0:18Speaker 3: do think I'm going to blow out of the water,
- 0:19Speaker 3: so that goal might be changing a little bit. Okay,
- 0:23Speaker 3: I have been just a lazy pile of garbage for
- 0:28Speaker 3: the past I have not been on my bicycle for
- 0:31Speaker 3: three days.
- 0:32Speaker 2: Really, that's weird for you.
- 0:35Speaker 1: It is very strange. Yeah.
- 0:36Speaker 3: Yeah, well, I was just wondering for whatever reason, the
- 0:41Speaker 3: past couple of days, I've just been like, I don't
- 0:43Speaker 3: feel like it. I've been letting the the bad thoughts win.
- 0:48Speaker 1: You know, I need. What I need is a little motivation.
- 0:52Speaker 3: I need some motivation to get back on the old
- 0:54Speaker 3: two wheels, pop on a pavement and get some of
- 0:57Speaker 3: these miles done for myself in my bicycle community. Okay,
- 1:02Speaker 3: is there any way you could give me, like a
- 1:03Speaker 3: motivational speech to get back out there.
- 1:05Speaker 2: Absolutely, Gabe.
- 1:15Speaker 4: I've seen you walking the halls looking like a nasty, sloppy, open.
- 1:20Speaker 2: Bag of milk. It's time to shape up.
- 1:23Speaker 4: Before you need to start using men's shape where I've
- 1:27Speaker 4: seen more muscle on a toddler.
- 1:29Speaker 2: Are you a toddler, Gabe? I think not. But what
- 1:32Speaker 2: I do think you.
- 1:33Speaker 4: Are is a disgrace to the biking community when the
- 1:37Speaker 4: last time you hit pedal hah, you trying to get
- 1:40Speaker 4: your membership revoked.
- 1:42Speaker 2: No, no, no, this can't be. The gab I know
- 1:45Speaker 2: is better than this.
- 1:47Speaker 4: The gab I know does a seven mile loop around
- 1:49Speaker 4: South Fargo no matter what the wind conditions.
- 1:52Speaker 2: Get back on that bike, Gabe.
- 1:55Speaker 4: Turn that two liter bottle into a six pack, Turn
- 1:59Speaker 4: those legs into beefy calves of steal. Be the bicycling
- 2:04Speaker 4: battie you were born to be. Can you do it, Gabe?
- 2:08Speaker 5: Yes?
- 2:09Speaker 2: Will you do it? Gabe?
- 2:10Speaker 4: Yes?
- 2:11Speaker 2: Then go do it.
- 2:19Speaker 3: If we start every show off with a little victory,
- 2:23Speaker 3: a reason to smile and get you excited about the day,
- 2:26Speaker 3: and to get us excited about the day.
- 2:27Speaker 1: I mean it's Friday, that does a good jump. Yeah.
- 2:30Speaker 4: If you have a little victory, share it with us.
- 2:32Speaker 4: Call us seven O one two wait o one nine
- 2:34Speaker 4: eight seven. We want to hear your little victories. I
- 2:37Speaker 4: have a little victory, Gabe, and it's just by virtue
- 2:41Speaker 4: of this is how it works the school year.
- 2:44Speaker 2: Yesterday was the last day of school, and now.
- 2:47Speaker 4: It's summer, all right, so the kids are yes, summer vacation.
- 2:53Speaker 4: I mean, these kids had seen your itis like no other.
- 2:56Speaker 4: But they're in eighth grade and second grade.
- 2:59Speaker 2: So it was like just hang in there.
- 3:02Speaker 4: And I got to do the because Aiden is finishing
- 3:06Speaker 4: eighth grade. Finished eighth grade, he's going to high school.
- 3:09Speaker 4: So at his school they did the clap out, and
- 3:12Speaker 4: so all the parents and families lined up and all
- 3:15Speaker 4: the eighth graders walked through and we got to like
- 3:17Speaker 4: clap and be.
- 3:18Speaker 3: Like, you did it.
- 3:19Speaker 2: You're going to high school. It was very sweet.
- 3:22Speaker 1: Now you gonna have a high school.
- 3:25Speaker 4: I kind of grossed out about it. I don't want
- 3:27Speaker 4: to think about it too hard. But you know what
- 3:29Speaker 4: was funny is like, oh, you're such a teenager, Aidan.
- 3:31Speaker 4: Because they all walk out and a lot of kids
- 3:33Speaker 4: like they would see their family and be like oh
- 3:35Speaker 4: and then just like leave the line, hug their families
- 3:38Speaker 4: and like leave Aidan's walking. It was me and his
- 3:42Speaker 4: little brother Liam, and we're like wa Aiden, and he
- 3:45Speaker 4: looks at us.
- 3:46Speaker 2: I caught it on video.
- 3:46Speaker 4: I need to post this to the to the Facebook page.
- 3:50Speaker 4: He looks at us and then shakes his head and
- 3:53Speaker 4: turns and keeps walking, like, no, I actually don't want
- 3:57Speaker 4: to tell I associate with you.
- 3:59Speaker 3: You saw the wheels turning in his head about the
- 4:02Speaker 3: knowledge that these people exist, and he made the choice
- 4:05Speaker 3: of no.
- 4:06Speaker 4: No.
- 4:06Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 4:07Speaker 4: I was so like, excuse me. When we got in
- 4:09Speaker 4: the car, I was like, what was that, bro? You
- 4:11Speaker 4: curved me so hard? And I showed him the video
- 4:15Speaker 4: and he was like, oh, I was just confused. I
- 4:17Speaker 4: didn't know if we were supposed to leave right away
- 4:19Speaker 4: with our families or if we were just supposed to
- 4:21Speaker 4: keep walking.
- 4:22Speaker 2: And I was like, are you sure that's it?
- 4:23Speaker 4: And he goes, well, so you're the only person who
- 4:25Speaker 4: called their kid by name and that's embarrassing.
- 4:27Speaker 2: And I was like, oh, there it is.
- 4:29Speaker 1: Yeah, that's the real one.
- 4:30Speaker 2: Yeah, a little victory. Nonetheless, school's out for a summer.
- 4:34Speaker 3: No way to go to those two, and they they've
- 4:37Speaker 3: had such an interesting year because they got to they
- 4:40Speaker 3: moved obviously, and you know they were kind of like
- 4:43Speaker 3: the new kid for only a couple months.
- 4:45Speaker 4: Yeah, they started school right after spring breaks, so they
- 4:49Speaker 4: weren't even there that long, right, But you know, I
- 4:52Speaker 4: feel like when I picked up Liam from school, he
- 4:55Speaker 4: was kind of like bummed, and I thought, you've been
- 4:57Speaker 4: trying to get out of school this whole time, my guy.
- 4:59Speaker 4: But he was said because he has some friends that
- 5:01Speaker 4: he said he's really gonna miss. And I was like,
- 5:03Speaker 4: don't worry. Mom's got you. I'll connect with the other moms.
- 5:05Speaker 4: You'll see them all summer.
- 5:07Speaker 1: That's awesome. Yeah, well, good for those two. I'm happy
- 5:09Speaker 1: for him.
- 5:10Speaker 2: Thank you.
- 5:11Speaker 3: Do you remember yesterday about this exact time, I told you,
- 5:14Speaker 3: you know what, it's my half birthday. Not everyone gets
- 5:16Speaker 3: to see thirty four and a half years old, so yeah,
- 5:19Speaker 3: a little victory for me.
- 5:20Speaker 1: I told you.
- 5:21Speaker 3: I was like, you know, I'm probably gonna go out
- 5:22Speaker 3: and celebrate and eat some food or whatever.
- 5:24Speaker 1: Yeah, that is exactly what we did.
- 5:27Speaker 3: Ye great Cory and I were gonna grill and all
- 5:31Speaker 3: I swear it took two like rain drops on the
- 5:34Speaker 3: back flab a patio there, Yeah, two little sprinkles, and
- 5:38Speaker 3: I went, yeah, nap, let's go down to the good
- 5:41Speaker 3: old neighborhood bar Frank's Lounger as I always call it
- 5:44Speaker 3: Uncle Franks, which is from home alone. But I do
- 5:47Speaker 3: know that it's Frank's lounge, So Frank's lounge. I apologize
- 5:49Speaker 3: if you heard me say that, it's out of a
- 5:51Speaker 3: term of endearment, that's right. And we actually went out
- 5:54Speaker 3: to eat for my half birthday, so it was pretty sweet.
- 5:56Speaker 2: I love that. Did you get a half cupcake?
- 5:59Speaker 3: I did not try the old bit. I was like, Okay,
- 6:02Speaker 3: I'm not super into sweets. I'll let someone who really
- 6:04Speaker 3: wants that half cupcake, I'll let them have it.
- 6:08Speaker 4: Yeah, it looks like Jimmy Fallon and I are the
- 6:16Speaker 4: same person.
- 6:17Speaker 2: Because we're both hilarious. No, I'm kidding, that's not why.
- 6:21Speaker 4: Because he doesn't like when people don't like him. So
- 6:27Speaker 4: he was on a podcast and he said that when
- 6:30Speaker 4: he first got famous after joining Saturday Night Live, he
- 6:33Speaker 4: was so surprised and upset when people didn't like him.
- 6:39Speaker 4: He said that it was the worst and he goes,
- 6:42Speaker 4: I hate it. I want everyone to like me. I
- 6:44Speaker 4: can't stand it. I go, oh my gosh, what can
- 6:46Speaker 4: I do to make you like me? And I think
- 6:49Speaker 4: the answer is you can't. You can't make everyone like you.
- 6:51Speaker 4: You just have to do what you do and do
- 6:53Speaker 4: the best you can at what you do and be
- 6:55Speaker 4: happy with yourself.
- 6:56Speaker 2: Yeah, no, I don't like it when people don't like me.
- 6:58Speaker 4: It makes me sad because like what I do to
- 7:00Speaker 4: you now, when people don't like me because I actively
- 7:03Speaker 4: did something to them, I.
- 7:05Speaker 2: Get that, but I've i'ven't gotten a nice person.
- 7:08Speaker 4: And when people just don't like me for I know
- 7:11Speaker 4: that I'm not everybody's cup of tea, okay, but like,
- 7:14Speaker 4: don't make don't let me know that because it makes
- 7:16Speaker 4: me feel bad, Like why don't you like me?
- 7:19Speaker 2: I'm just trying to be nice and make you.
- 7:21Speaker 4: Laugh, and it stresses me out. Seven one two, eight
- 7:25Speaker 4: oh one, nine eighty seven. What do you do when
- 7:28Speaker 4: someone doesn't like you?
- 7:31Speaker 2: Gabe? What do you like?
- 7:32Speaker 4: Like?
- 7:32Speaker 2: Does this affect you?
- 7:34Speaker 3: Maybe when I was younger, like young twenties, brand new,
- 7:39Speaker 3: like a radio guy, I probably probably would have been like, oh.
- 7:42Speaker 1: Why like hurt. Yeah, I'm long past that, bro, I
- 7:46Speaker 1: have I have long past that.
- 7:49Speaker 2: You know what?
- 7:50Speaker 3: Also is kind of funny too, But when I got
- 7:55Speaker 3: especially when I got married, okay, I really just was
- 7:59Speaker 3: not concerned about anyone else or what they think or
- 8:03Speaker 3: how they perceive me to be as a person because
- 8:05Speaker 3: I know deep.
- 8:06Speaker 1: Down who I am.
- 8:07Speaker 3: I know that I have my wife at home and
- 8:09Speaker 3: my good friends, and I just know you. When I
- 8:11Speaker 3: got married, I was like, well, at the end of
- 8:12Speaker 3: the day, I always have one person that I always
- 8:17Speaker 3: have at least one, you know.
- 8:19Speaker 2: I think that's very sweet, So that was.
- 8:21Speaker 1: A big part of that. But also it's just too hard.
- 8:24Speaker 3: It's like you, I think people learn this, you know,
- 8:27Speaker 3: as they grow up and get into kind of the
- 8:28Speaker 3: adult world, and it's a saying you hear all the time.
- 8:31Speaker 3: But it's if you're trying to make everybody happy, you
- 8:35Speaker 3: kind of happy, right.
- 8:37Speaker 4: Yeah, I definitely know logically that, like girl, not everybody's
- 8:42Speaker 4: gonna like you. I just can't help it. It hurts
- 8:45Speaker 4: my feelings, like I can't. But and you said this
- 8:48Speaker 4: is something that you dealt with when you were younger,
- 8:52Speaker 4: and I felt good about.
- 8:53Speaker 2: You saying that because that just means that I'm youthful.
- 8:57Speaker 3: Okay, seven zero one nine eight seven. We do have
- 9:03Speaker 3: Jesse on the phone. How do you deal with maybe
- 9:05Speaker 3: someone not liking you?
- 9:06Speaker 6: Jesse, I try to remind myself that not everyone had
- 9:09Speaker 6: to like me, and honestly I don't like everyone either. Still,
- 9:14Speaker 6: things a little.
- 9:14Speaker 2: But if I didn't do.
- 9:15Speaker 6: Anything wrong, then that's their vibe, not my problem.
- 9:19Speaker 1: Very good, that is true.
- 9:21Speaker 4: Oh I didn't even think about that because, yeah, I'm
- 9:23Speaker 4: over here being like, why do not you like me?
- 9:25Speaker 2: And it's like there are a lot of people I
- 9:27Speaker 2: don't like.
- 9:28Speaker 1: Yeah, that's true.
- 9:29Speaker 2: That's a good point, Jess.
- 9:30Speaker 1: Yeah, all right. We also have Bryce on the phone.
- 9:33Speaker 2: I just ignore him and move on with my life.
- 9:35Speaker 2: You can't let people get to you. If someone doesn't
- 9:37Speaker 2: like you, you.
- 9:38Speaker 1: Just don't interact with him anymore.
- 9:40Speaker 2: You don't need that kind of negativity in your life.
- 9:42Speaker 2: I can't stop interacting with my children.
- 9:45Speaker 3: Gabe, Bryce and I are similar in that. That's kind
- 9:49Speaker 3: of how I go about it, right, It's like, all right,
- 9:51Speaker 3: well that's cool. I don't need to text you or
- 9:53Speaker 3: call you or hang out with you.
- 9:54Speaker 4: You know.
- 9:54Speaker 2: Yeah, that's fair.
- 9:55Speaker 3: That's very easy to miss, Peter, or to like swerve
- 9:59Speaker 3: a away from people who don't like you.
- 10:01Speaker 1: I'm curious.
- 10:01Speaker 2: Everybody is just more evolved than I am.
- 10:04Speaker 3: One to eight zero one nine eighty seven. How do
- 10:07Speaker 3: you deal with someone who might not like you very much?
- 10:15Speaker 1: Canjie?
- 10:15Speaker 3: What are you sorry that you are not sorry about
- 10:18Speaker 3: you know, you might die on this hill alone.
- 10:20Speaker 1: You're gonna ruffle some feathers here.
- 10:22Speaker 2: Yeah, I think I might ruffle some feathers.
- 10:23Speaker 4: But I think it's important that I state this, and
- 10:27Speaker 4: I feel like the parents who get it will get it,
- 10:30Speaker 4: and you're my people. And the parents who don't, I
- 10:33Speaker 4: hope you live a long, healthy life.
- 10:35Speaker 2: But we will not be friends.
- 10:38Speaker 4: He is the thing if you invite me to hang
- 10:43Speaker 4: out and then I say, oh, I can't I have
- 10:47Speaker 4: the kids, and you say, no worries, you can bring
- 10:52Speaker 4: the kids, but it is not an event that is
- 10:55Speaker 4: kid friendly. Bro, I'm not going.
- 10:58Speaker 2: Sure, don't.
- 11:01Speaker 4: Because then it's fun for no one because I bring
- 11:04Speaker 4: my kids and we're all supposed to be like having
- 11:06Speaker 4: a few drinks, talking, having a.
- 11:08Speaker 2: Good time, adult time, adult time in it.
- 11:10Speaker 4: But I can't focus on what's happening because I'm worried
- 11:13Speaker 4: about what Aidan and Liam are doing. Specifically, my little
- 11:16Speaker 4: one is a little bit of a monster. So if
- 11:18Speaker 4: my kids are the only ones there, I'm trying to
- 11:21Speaker 4: keep them entertained because this isn't fun for them. They
- 11:24Speaker 4: don't want to be here sitting all board waiting for
- 11:27Speaker 4: mom to finish telling you another story that they probably
- 11:30Speaker 4: are only hearing a million.
- 11:31Speaker 2: Times, million times, and so it's not fun.
- 11:35Speaker 4: If I'm focused on having a good time, that means
- 11:38Speaker 4: I'm neglecting my children. But then if I'm focused on
- 11:41Speaker 4: the kids, that means I'm neglecting the good time.
- 11:45Speaker 2: And I just feel like it's a lose lose.
- 11:47Speaker 4: So don't invite me to those things unless it is
- 11:51Speaker 4: a kid centered event.
- 11:54Speaker 2: Bro, I'm not going now.
- 11:56Speaker 4: If it's an event where I can find a sitter,
- 11:58Speaker 4: I'm all for it.
- 12:00Speaker 2: Come hang out. But don't just say, well, it's fine,
- 12:02Speaker 2: you can bring the kids.
- 12:04Speaker 1: Noah can't, No you can.
- 12:05Speaker 2: Noah can't, Noah won't.
- 12:06Speaker 4: I don't want to, and you know, just don't invite me,
- 12:10Speaker 4: but invite me to things that.
- 12:11Speaker 3: Yeah, I was gonna say, there's a one eighty right
- 12:13Speaker 3: here as well. Yeah, it's definitely one of those you
- 12:16Speaker 3: get an invite and sometimes people aren't great at kind
- 12:21Speaker 3: of just accepting Noah's an answer, right, like, right, I can't.
- 12:24Speaker 3: I would love to go, but this is something I
- 12:27Speaker 3: cannot do with my kids there.
- 12:29Speaker 1: It's not fun for them.
- 12:30Speaker 3: It's sure as heck isn't gonna be fun for me,
- 12:32Speaker 3: and it's not gonna be fun for all the other
- 12:34Speaker 3: people there, right, because what you're I do get what
- 12:37Speaker 3: you're kind of coming in exactly.
- 12:39Speaker 4: Because I don't want I also very careful about what
- 12:41Speaker 4: I let my kids be exposed to.
- 12:43Speaker 2: And I want you to speak freely. Okay. I don't
- 12:46Speaker 2: really care about swearing, because I swear too, but like.
- 12:49Speaker 4: You do, not on air, but the content, right, I
- 12:54Speaker 4: don't want you to have to censor yourself if you're
- 12:56Speaker 4: telling me about your steamy, hot date. I want all
- 13:00Speaker 4: the details. You know, who doesn't need the details my
- 13:02Speaker 4: eight year old okay or my teenager?
- 13:05Speaker 3: Actually, maybe that's worse, worse, Yeah.
- 13:08Speaker 2: Yeah, I will die on that hill.
- 13:10Speaker 4: I just it's not conducive to anybody's happiness.
- 13:13Speaker 3: So what Angie I think is probably actually saying is like,
- 13:16Speaker 3: invite her. But if she says no, except that, yes, right,
- 13:19Speaker 3: except because you still want like the little adrenaline boost
- 13:22Speaker 3: of an invite.
- 13:23Speaker 2: Right, Oh that's right.
- 13:24Speaker 4: I always invite me, Always invite me. Big day yesterday
- 13:33Speaker 4: for a Nintendo Switch Nintendo lovers in general, the Nintendo
- 13:37Speaker 4: Switch to came out, and I grew up a Nintendo girl.
- 13:41Speaker 4: I'm a Nintendo family kind of family, and my son
- 13:45Speaker 4: Aiden wanted a Nintendo switch to so badly. So when
- 13:50Speaker 4: it came time to pre order the Nintendo Switch, I
- 13:54Speaker 4: woke up at It was on a weeknight, so you know,
- 13:57Speaker 4: we have to get up really early here to get
- 13:59Speaker 4: to work. But I was like, you know what, I'll
- 14:01Speaker 4: sacrifice sleep for my boy. So I woke up at
- 14:03Speaker 4: eleven pm to try and get this pre order situation
- 14:07Speaker 4: for the switch too. So I was in the queue
- 14:10Speaker 4: for the Walmart, the Target, the Best Buy, the game stock,
- 14:15Speaker 4: and I was trying so hard to pre order this
- 14:18Speaker 4: thing until two in the morning, and then it just
- 14:22Speaker 4: kicked me out of all the things and I was like, sorry,
- 14:24Speaker 4: switched to sold out by gou it wouldn't go. And
- 14:27Speaker 4: so Aiden has been bummed ever since this pre order situation,
- 14:30Speaker 4: and he was like, I appreciate that you tried. Mom, Like, please,
- 14:33Speaker 4: don't worry about it. He's such a sweet, good kid.
- 14:36Speaker 2: And I told him.
- 14:37Speaker 4: I was like, I will try to get you the
- 14:38Speaker 4: Nintendo switch to when it comes out.
- 14:40Speaker 2: I'm sure it's gonna be.
- 14:41Speaker 4: Real difficult to get because the supplies are limited when
- 14:45Speaker 4: a big game system comes out. But I was like,
- 14:47Speaker 4: I'm gonna do it for you. So yesterday was the
- 14:50Speaker 4: release date and my kid was on the website. He
- 14:54Speaker 4: was Fargo Target and more Head Target monitoring.
- 14:58Speaker 2: If they had stopped.
- 15:00Speaker 4: So all day he was like, Okay, Fargo Target, they
- 15:03Speaker 4: have eight in stock, and then updating me okay, there's
- 15:06Speaker 4: six in stock.
- 15:08Speaker 2: Please don't let six people want this thing.
- 15:11Speaker 4: Then another update there's only three left, mom, And then
- 15:14Speaker 4: another update They're gone.
- 15:17Speaker 2: They're gone.
- 15:18Speaker 4: Mom. Oh, we're gonna have to try the other one,
- 15:20Speaker 4: the more Head Target.
- 15:21Speaker 2: The stock was gone.
- 15:22Speaker 4: So this kid, by the end of the school day
- 15:25Speaker 4: yesterday was so bombed that we did not get a
- 15:29Speaker 4: Nintendo Switch to What he did not know is that yesterday,
- 15:34Speaker 4: right after the show, I booked it out of here
- 15:37Speaker 4: and went.
- 15:37Speaker 2: To the only Target we have here in Fargo.
- 15:42Speaker 4: And I picked up the Nintendo Switch too, So to
- 15:46Speaker 4: surprise him, I hit it in my bag in the
- 15:49Speaker 4: car and he got in the car and I was like.
- 15:52Speaker 2: Oh, we're gonna do a selfie video for.
- 15:54Speaker 4: The last day of school, so it didn't look weird
- 15:57Speaker 4: that I was recording, and so I'd start the video
- 16:00Speaker 4: up and I'm like, oh, I feel like I had
- 16:02Speaker 4: like a booger in my nose or something. Can you
- 16:04Speaker 4: grab me a tissue? And he was like, Okay, I'll
- 16:08Speaker 4: grab you a tissue. And then this is how it.
- 16:09Speaker 2: Went, because we're gonna take him video. No you're joking.
- 16:15Speaker 6: No, you're joking.
- 16:16Speaker 1: Now you're joking, you're actually truly, You're actually true. No,
- 16:19Speaker 1: you're actually truly, you're actually trolling.
- 16:25Speaker 4: Shot.
- 16:26Speaker 2: Oh you're.
- 16:32Speaker 4: School. He's gonna reach into my bag to grab me
- 16:40Speaker 4: a tissue. But instead of tissue, he found the Nintendo
- 16:46Speaker 4: switched to and he absolutely deserves it. We moved here,
- 16:50Speaker 4: I mean I moved him in the middle of the school,
- 16:52Speaker 4: I mean toward the end of the school year. He
- 16:54Speaker 4: didn't start school until after spring break, and it's middle school,
- 16:58Speaker 4: like what a transition, shin.
- 17:01Speaker 2: And he handled it, handled it like a champ. And
- 17:03Speaker 2: if anybody deserves a.
- 17:05Speaker 4: Really expensive gaming console, it's my son. So I'm really
- 17:09Speaker 4: glad that he has that ready for summer.
- 17:12Speaker 3: I will say, right, way to go, Mama Angie, and
- 17:15Speaker 3: way to go Aiding. Congratulations. If you had, however long
- 17:23Speaker 3: you sleep, that amount of extra time in a day
- 17:25Speaker 3: on two hours, No, what would you do if you
- 17:29Speaker 3: did not have to sleep for me.
- 17:34Speaker 2: Junk journaling.
- 17:35Speaker 4: It's been something I've been wanting to do now for
- 17:38Speaker 4: like maybe eight months, and I just don't have the time.
- 17:42Speaker 2: Do you know what junk journaling is?
- 17:44Speaker 1: I don't know if I do. I don't think you
- 17:47Speaker 1: just write and junk in a journal.
- 17:49Speaker 2: I don't know. I guess, Like I like the term
- 17:53Speaker 2: junk journaling.
- 17:54Speaker 4: It's similar to scrap booking, right, where you just like
- 17:57Speaker 4: put pictures and captions and whatever.
- 17:59Speaker 2: But john journaling, I think sounds cooler.
- 18:02Speaker 4: And you you anything from an experience that you've had,
- 18:06Speaker 4: so like the a straw wrapper or like a piece
- 18:09Speaker 4: of a menu or something. You tape all of that
- 18:12Speaker 4: into a journal and add pictures and captions if you want.
- 18:16Speaker 4: And I have all of this stuff that I've saved
- 18:19Speaker 4: up from various experiences over the last eight months, and
- 18:23Speaker 4: I have not done anything.
- 18:24Speaker 2: It's just a box full of junk, essentially, And like I.
- 18:29Speaker 4: Need to have time to like sit down and open
- 18:31Speaker 4: the journal and map out the pages and put it all.
- 18:34Speaker 2: In, and like, where when am I going to find
- 18:36Speaker 2: that time?
- 18:37Speaker 4: Gabe, Right, Yeah, but I have to sleep or else
- 18:41Speaker 4: I look even more of an oger than normal. But
- 18:44Speaker 4: if I did not have to sleep at all, I
- 18:47Speaker 4: would be junk journaling my little life away.
- 18:49Speaker 1: God, I love that.
- 18:50Speaker 3: Seven oh one two eight zero one nine eight seven.
- 18:53Speaker 3: What would you do with the extra time if sleep
- 18:57Speaker 3: was not a requirement. My answer sucks, you're gonna it
- 19:00Speaker 3: what you're gonna hate it? I'd probably work out. Okay, bro,
- 19:05Speaker 3: I know it's there. Here's what I'll say. There is
- 19:09Speaker 3: nothing better and worse, nothing better or worse. You get
- 19:14Speaker 3: off of work, you get home. I am so good
- 19:17Speaker 3: at talking myself out of.
- 19:19Speaker 1: Goinghead and doing something.
- 19:21Speaker 2: I am so good at being like, ah.
- 19:23Speaker 3: We're just gonna chill on the couch for like an hour,
- 19:26Speaker 3: and then now I will say when I get home.
- 19:30Speaker 3: I walk the dog every single day. Yeah, she's a
- 19:32Speaker 3: pretty good motivator. But actually going to like a gym
- 19:37Speaker 3: or something, it is so easy for me to talk
- 19:40Speaker 3: myself out of.
- 19:40Speaker 1: That's why I joined the bicycling community, because that's right.
- 19:43Speaker 1: I love that. I hate going to the gym, which
- 19:46Speaker 1: you should go.
- 19:46Speaker 3: I know it's great for you, but I just and
- 19:49Speaker 3: then all of a sudden, before you know it, it's
- 19:50Speaker 3: like seven o'clock and I'm like, I'm not going it's
- 19:54Speaker 3: way too late.
- 19:55Speaker 2: But if you didn't have to, if I didn't have
- 19:57Speaker 2: to sleep.
- 19:59Speaker 3: So much extra time at seven eight o'clock, after I've
- 20:03Speaker 3: convinced myself from sitting down for an hour or two,
- 20:06Speaker 3: you know what I mean.
- 20:07Speaker 2: Well, let's keep dreaming.
- 20:08Speaker 1: Yeah, I know that answer stinks. I'm sorry. We do
- 20:11Speaker 1: have Amelia on the phone, Amelia. What would you do?
- 20:15Speaker 2: Amelia? Amelia probably become.
- 20:18Speaker 6: One of those weirdly productive three am people, like cleaning
- 20:22Speaker 6: and journaling and deep diving into rabbit holes and then
- 20:25Speaker 6: finally answering those texts from two days ago, like nothing happened.
- 20:29Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, you know, I like that.
- 20:31Speaker 2: She's a journaler too.
- 20:33Speaker 3: You know what a lot of people should be doing
- 20:34Speaker 3: with that extra time, if they didn't have to sleep,
- 20:37Speaker 3: is going through their phone and deleting the four thousand
- 20:41Speaker 3: emails that they have just sitting in there and oh, yeah,
- 20:44Speaker 3: you know, Angie, Okay, don't call me out.
- 20:48Speaker 5: Just as well, Yeah, I would probably take up a
- 20:51Speaker 5: hobby I used to do all the time when I
- 20:53Speaker 5: actually had time. I would get back into woodworking, carving,
- 20:57Speaker 5: you know that sort of thing I used to love
- 20:59Speaker 5: doing that.
- 21:00Speaker 2: I still have the duols.
- 21:01Speaker 1: Yeah, I think I'd get really into just building stuff.
- 21:04Speaker 3: There was a time during COVID I put together a motorcycle,
- 21:08Speaker 3: this old nineteen seventy two Honda motorcycle. I basically built
- 21:13Speaker 3: the thing with YouTube. I would try a certain section
- 21:15Speaker 3: of the bike, fail eighty times, and then finally get
- 21:18Speaker 3: it right and then move on to another section. It
- 21:20Speaker 3: was just something I did for fun. I do a
- 21:21Speaker 3: lot more things like that. I think if I had
- 21:23Speaker 3: an extra you know, eight hours.
- 21:25Speaker 2: Yay, you're so multi fasciated.
- 21:27Speaker 3: Hey, there's a lot of things you know and don't
- 21:30Speaker 3: know about me, most of the ones you probably don't
- 21:32Speaker 3: want to know.
- 21:38Speaker 1: And we have gabs good news of the day, A
- 21:40Speaker 1: great way to end the work week.
- 21:43Speaker 3: Here on this Friday, there's this elementary school teacher who
- 21:47Speaker 3: surprised one of her students who has a rare genetic
- 21:50Speaker 3: disorder with tickets to see Jelly Roll, and they ended
- 21:54Speaker 3: up getting to meet him. Cral Courtney Jones is this teacher,
- 21:58Speaker 3: and she gave a special end of the year gift
- 22:01Speaker 3: to jay Lee. I know there's a lot of parents
- 22:03Speaker 3: who have students with the end of the year. I
- 22:04Speaker 3: think actually almost.
- 22:05Speaker 2: All right, Yeah, I think the dog, my kids are done.
- 22:08Speaker 1: Yeah for sure.
- 22:09Speaker 3: Well, this teacher, Courtney, gave jay Lee a pair of
- 22:12Speaker 3: tickets for HERNERR. MOhm to see Jelly Roll, and after
- 22:16Speaker 3: learning about their story, jelly Roll actually invited them both backstage.
- 22:21Speaker 2: He's the best.
- 22:22Speaker 3: At the meet and greet, jelly Roll hugged jay Lee,
- 22:24Speaker 3: gave her a big kiss on the cheek, and gifted
- 22:26Speaker 3: in our autograph, set list and a hat. The teacher
- 22:29Speaker 3: shares that watching Jaye enjoy the moment made it one
- 22:32Speaker 3: of her favorite days ever. She says the girl was
- 22:36Speaker 3: thrilled and she felt like a star, with the other
- 22:39Speaker 3: concert goers even stopping to take pictures with her. The
- 22:43Speaker 3: event created a lasting memory for Jaylee, who has just
- 22:48Speaker 3: bonded with this teacher so well over the course of
- 22:50Speaker 3: the year. So very, very sweet and incredible story for
- 22:53Speaker 3: jay Lee and a obviously a very nice thing for
- 22:55Speaker 3: this teacher to do.
- 22:56Speaker 2: What a great way to end the school year.
- 22:58Speaker 1: That's right. The world's full of nice people. If you
- 23:00Speaker 1: can't find one, you gotta be one. Two days for
