- 4:07Speaker 3: that you will use it. We pray that the anointeen
- 4:10Speaker 3: will stay sharp and stay strong. We pray Father God,
- 4:14Speaker 3: Oh Lord, that souls will get touched, people will be reached,
- 4:18Speaker 3: and destinies will be changed. We give this all to you,
- 4:22Speaker 3: and we give you glory in Jesus' name. Amen. All right,
- 4:32Speaker 3: belove it. Well, let's go ahead and we'll dive into
- 4:37Speaker 3: Chapter eighteen, Versus one through five, and it says, and
- 4:44Speaker 3: the Lord appeared to him. Bye.
- 4:55Speaker 4: I know this is Jennison, Okay, the Book of Acts.
- 5:12Speaker 3: Great scripture, but not the one that we are reading today.
- 5:19Speaker 3: I wonder how that happened technology, right, So in verse one,
- 5:27Speaker 3: it says, after these things, Paul departed from Athens and
- 5:32Speaker 3: went to Corinth. And he found a certain Jew named
- 5:37Speaker 3: Aquila born in Pontius, who had recently come from Italy
- 5:43Speaker 3: with his wife Priscilla. Because Claudias had commanded all the
- 5:50Speaker 3: Jews to depart from Rome, and he came to them.
- 5:56Speaker 3: So because he was of the same trade, he stayed
- 6:00Speaker 3: with them and worked for by occupation. They were tent makers,
- 6:07Speaker 3: and he reasoned in the synagogues every Sabbath and persuaded
- 6:12Speaker 3: both jew and Greek. When Silas and Timothy had come
- 6:17Speaker 3: from Macedonia, Paul was compelled by the spirit and testified
- 6:23Speaker 3: to the Jews that Jesus is the Christ a man.
- 6:28Speaker 3: This is awesome. This is great. That's one thing I
- 6:32Speaker 3: love about the Bible that records all activity. It shows
- 6:39Speaker 3: Paul he's working, and it just shows another side of
- 6:44Speaker 3: his life, another aspect of his life in ministry, and
- 6:48Speaker 3: how he's interacting with the calling on his life. Amen.
- 6:55Speaker 3: So it's go ahead and break this down. So verse one,
- 6:59Speaker 3: after these things, Paul departed from Athens and went to Corinth.
- 7:04Speaker 3: And now it's good when you start a scripture when
- 7:08Speaker 3: it says after these things, it's good to get the
- 7:11Speaker 3: background so you can get the full content. And we
- 7:14Speaker 3: know that Paul was a Mars Hill and he had
- 7:18Speaker 3: his opportunity to speak, and when he came to the
- 7:23Speaker 3: resurrection of Christ, that's where things kind of fell apart
- 7:27Speaker 3: a little bit. Some began to mock him, some said,
- 7:32Speaker 3: let's do this later. They delayed the decision, and some
- 7:36Speaker 3: believed Paul would always seek to bring people to a
- 7:40Speaker 3: decision when they came to the gospel. Amen, either you
- 7:46Speaker 3: accept Christ or you reject him. But he was a
- 7:50Speaker 3: faithful witness, hallelujah. So after that, Paul departed and went
- 7:56Speaker 3: to Athens and went to Corinth. Now Paul didn't stay
- 8:03Speaker 3: stuck in one place. Just because something went down in
- 8:08Speaker 3: one city, They didn't mean he had to stay there
- 8:11Speaker 3: and sort it all out. He just moved on and
- 8:15Speaker 3: God's timing. Corinthlas a strategic city though for Paul it
- 8:20Speaker 3: was full of trade, culture and it had a spiritual need.
- 8:26Speaker 3: And I'm pretty sure we can all find cities like
- 8:30Speaker 3: that today. Man, Now, Paul wasn't just traveling aimlessly, though,
- 8:36Speaker 3: he was following God's rhythm. Sometimes we need to leave
- 8:40Speaker 3: a season behind to step into a new one. Amen.
- 8:47Speaker 3: Let me say that again. Sometimes we need to leave
- 8:50Speaker 3: a season behind to step into a new one. Hallelujah.
- 8:57Speaker 3: I had to leave behind season in my life, which
- 9:02Speaker 3: was a club, his hot Las Vegas, the actual club,
- 9:07Speaker 3: the actual building, the venue, and I was talking to
- 9:11Speaker 3: a brother the other day. He was asking me about,
- 9:14Speaker 3: you know, my testimony and my story, and I told
- 9:18Speaker 3: him about the club and things like that, and he
- 9:21Speaker 3: mentioned that, and it was pretty interesting what he said.
- 9:24Speaker 3: He says, maybe the season for the club was up,
- 9:29Speaker 3: like who knows, you know, who knows what God's playing
- 9:32Speaker 3: and God's will is. But also I hold on to
- 9:38Speaker 3: the words that were spoken to me, the words that
- 9:42Speaker 3: were prophesied that the club was going to move to
- 9:46Speaker 3: different states. So I don't know. Sometimes we have to
- 9:53Speaker 3: go before God and see what he is saying and
- 9:58Speaker 3: speaking a man, I don't ta hey, give me being lightly.
- 10:02Speaker 3: I will take it before the throne and I will
- 10:04Speaker 3: pray about it. And I'm praying about it now. You know,
- 10:08Speaker 3: is my season up? Or is it time for a
- 10:10Speaker 3: new thing? You gotta be open for new things, man.
- 10:14Speaker 3: As a matter of fact, you're gonna be doing events
- 10:20Speaker 3: in an area where there's a lot of homeless in
- 10:24Speaker 3: the area, where there's a pastor there who he's preaching
- 10:27Speaker 3: and he's tearing it up on Sunday Sunday nights, things
- 10:33Speaker 3: like that, and I connected with him, and so we're
- 10:36Speaker 3: gonna see what they do. This might be a new
- 10:39Speaker 3: season for us. Keep us in prayer man, all right.
- 10:48Speaker 3: Verse two. Then he found a certain Jew named Aquila
- 10:54Speaker 3: born in Pontius, who had recently come from Italy with
- 11:00Speaker 3: his wife Priscilla, because Clauias had commanded all the Jews
- 11:05Speaker 3: to depart from Rome, and he came to them. Now,
- 11:11Speaker 3: that's a pretty crazy commandment. Why would you command all
- 11:15Speaker 3: the Jews to depart from Rome? That's pretty interesting. Now,
- 11:23Speaker 3: God also orchestrated this, meaning though Aquila and Priscilla that
- 11:30Speaker 3: would become key partners in ministry with Paul. We're going
- 11:35Speaker 3: to pop up in this story a little later. Sometimes
- 11:39Speaker 3: God uses everyday people and even tough circumstances to align
- 11:45Speaker 3: you with your purpose. Equivalent in Priscilla would sharpen Paul's mission. Amen,
- 11:56Speaker 3: And so we have to pray. We have to ask God,
- 12:02Speaker 3: Am I here to sharpen a minister? Am I here
- 12:07Speaker 3: to help a vision come to pass? And one thing
- 12:15Speaker 3: I realized today we live in a day where people
- 12:18Speaker 3: it is very easy to put a personal brand together.
- 12:27Speaker 3: There are personal brands everywhere. You can hardly throw a
- 12:32Speaker 3: rock and I hit a personal brand. But the kingdom
- 12:37Speaker 3: is not built on our personal brand. The kingdom is
- 12:40Speaker 3: built on fellowship, and the kingdom is built on discipleship,
- 12:45Speaker 3: us pouring into one another. So you may be in
- 12:49Speaker 3: a season before God can use you. He will have
- 12:53Speaker 3: you serve someone else. He'll have you serve in a
- 12:57Speaker 3: somebody else's field, because the Word says, how can I
- 13:02Speaker 3: give you your own field if you're not pouring into
- 13:05Speaker 3: someone else's. It's a keendom principle. And God will use
- 13:13Speaker 3: that to raise you up so you can learn vital
- 13:16Speaker 3: skills that you need. Because once you get your own field,
- 13:20Speaker 3: it starts over. You start pouring into others so they
- 13:24Speaker 3: can rise up and start working in their own field
- 13:28Speaker 3: as well. It's never about us, beloved verse three. So
- 13:40Speaker 3: because he was of the same trade, he stayed with
- 13:44Speaker 3: them and worked for by occupation, they were tent makers.
- 13:51Speaker 3: Now Paul was a very very industrial person. He didn't
- 14:01Speaker 3: just rely on ministry income. Paul wasn't just staying in
- 14:10Speaker 3: by waiting for the offering bucket to come his way
- 14:16Speaker 3: in order for him to meet his needs. No, he
- 14:18Speaker 3: stayed with him and he worked. He worked alongside them,
- 14:24Speaker 3: showing that faith and work can also go hand in hand.
- 14:32Speaker 3: And I do remember a time in my life when
- 14:36Speaker 3: I wanted to go further in ministry in the church
- 14:39Speaker 3: I was at at the time, and the pastor that
- 14:43Speaker 3: I was working with, he offered me to put in
- 14:50Speaker 3: for a job at the church and to like quit
- 14:53Speaker 3: my job that I've been on for several years. And
- 14:56Speaker 3: that was new to me. I'm like, uh, I'm not
- 15:01Speaker 3: sure about that, But maybe I missed an opportunity. I
- 15:08Speaker 3: don't know. But a part of their discipleship, a part
- 15:13Speaker 3: of them raising me up in ministry, was allowing me
- 15:18Speaker 3: to come and work for the church. Hallelujah. So ministry
- 15:29Speaker 3: and work can go hand in hand. Paul's example can
- 15:33Speaker 3: challenge us. Sometimes God calls us to work in the
- 15:36Speaker 3: marketplace as we minister. Both can be sacred, all right
- 15:45Speaker 3: Verse four. And he reasoned in the synagogue every Sabbath
- 15:51Speaker 3: and persuaded both Jews and Greek. I love Paul. Paul
- 15:57Speaker 3: was anointed Paul. He was at it, he knew how
- 16:02Speaker 3: to do it, and he would always go where the
- 16:05Speaker 3: people gathered. He went to the synagod. Now, Paul didn't
- 16:11Speaker 3: waste any time. He went straight to the synate god reasoning,
- 16:17Speaker 3: but he also used scripture. If we're trying to evangelize
- 16:24Speaker 3: without scripture. It's like trying to shoot a gun without
- 16:27Speaker 3: a bullet. The word of God is the only thing
- 16:33Speaker 3: that can change your heart and win a soul. Amen.
- 16:41Speaker 3: Paul was relentless. He understood that faith is reasonable and
- 16:47Speaker 3: also engaged both the religious and the seekers as he
- 16:56Speaker 3: sought to evangelize. Verse five. Now when Silence and Timothy
- 17:03Speaker 3: it had come from Macedonia, Paul was compelled by the
- 17:08Speaker 3: spirit and testified to the Jews that Jesus is the Christ. Amen. Now,
- 17:17Speaker 3: once Silence and Timothy arrived, Paul focused became sharper. His
- 17:24Speaker 3: focus was even sharper. Now now the Spirit compelled him
- 17:28Speaker 3: to testify boldly. Now check this out. Sometimes it takes
- 17:37Speaker 3: the right connections to fuel our next step. And the
- 17:44Speaker 3: one thing I love about God. God places people in
- 17:47Speaker 3: your life to bring your next level in the call
- 17:54Speaker 3: of God in your life. Sometimes it takes the right person,
- 17:59Speaker 3: the right and curage. Hopefully especially in her households, especially
- 18:09Speaker 3: if you're married. Hopefully your spouse as your encourager. Hopefully
- 18:16Speaker 3: she gets especially with this ministry. Like even business owners
- 18:23Speaker 3: know this to be true, that they have to have
- 18:26Speaker 3: the right spouse in order for them to be successful
- 18:31Speaker 3: in business. You got to be on the same page
- 18:39Speaker 3: at once that person and you got that connection, that
- 18:44Speaker 3: person can help you go to the next level. You
- 18:49Speaker 3: don't want somebody in your life who's dead weight when
- 18:53Speaker 3: it comes to your purpose in serving God. Amen. Now, family,
- 19:02Speaker 3: hear this. God aligns purpose with people just like Paul Mett,
- 19:08Speaker 3: Aquila and Priscilla. God is settled up. Divine nexts also
- 19:15Speaker 3: in our lives. We cannot ignore them, but remember to
- 19:23Speaker 3: walk in faith. Amen, hallelujah. Let's take a quick break.
- 19:32Speaker 5: You are listening to the light of Las Vegas. This
- 19:35Speaker 5: is the Hiss Hop radio show.
- 19:37Speaker 6: You would be easily disturbed if you've seen what we
- 19:40Speaker 6: observed because the scene of pre endures will leave a
- 19:42Speaker 6: dream to firm. I was haunted pot the faces or
- 19:45Speaker 6: the things that we would serve on the corner. They
- 19:47Speaker 6: appeared in evil dreams that preoccur. I said, screw the
- 19:50Speaker 6: block and Nigga couse it was struggle in their patient
- 19:53Speaker 6: How linked what my problem in this space?
- 19:55Speaker 2: Man?
- 19:55Speaker 3: And we came up with the plan.
- 19:56Speaker 6: We thought that we tooked can be famous if we
- 19:58Speaker 6: formed a cook. That's when we started to doub over
- 20:00Speaker 6: takes week my freestyles. I left the folks out with
- 20:03Speaker 6: you in the amazement, they told us will make it
- 20:05Speaker 6: too bad. My brother was smoking. Get Westy so much,
- 20:07Speaker 6: you wouldn't be smoking. So I went solo to chase
- 20:09Speaker 6: this record. Labels to notice I got so close I
- 20:12Speaker 6: could chase the All of my favorite labels wanted to
- 20:15Speaker 6: meet with me. After I became a champ on one
- 20:17Speaker 6: O six and park on b ET, they told me
- 20:19Speaker 6: come and play some music for the Agna's and they
- 20:22Speaker 6: said that Jake, this was the moment I was waiting for.
- 20:24Speaker 6: See Normally, I wrapped about a bunch of nonsense, but
- 20:27Speaker 6: switched up my content because I was becoming conscious. I thought,
- 20:30Speaker 6: if I blow up, I'll be the leader to these kids,
- 20:33Speaker 6: and I'd have won my listeners repeating what I did.
- 20:36Speaker 6: I can't go over fire when I am trying to
- 20:38Speaker 6: just shape their support. We funded, but they would probably
- 20:40Speaker 6: tie you in my place. I met with the A
- 20:42Speaker 6: and R. He trying to vide with my chase. But
- 20:44Speaker 6: when my demo was finished, this gullup right in my
- 20:47Speaker 6: face and way and dang for the dream and like
- 20:50Speaker 6: what is it?
- 20:50Speaker 2: Joe gave up a sad read fast.
- 20:52Speaker 3: Because I can really mad you a gee that with
- 20:56Speaker 3: mega plans.
- 20:56Speaker 2: Then I said, Joe life, See you just gotta sign
- 21:00Speaker 2: blood shot and blood. Can't check this man, shine and
- 21:06Speaker 2: blood y'all up when you sign and blood I need.
- 21:10Speaker 1: Your live should be more officious, more malicious.
- 21:12Speaker 5: It's more your conditions, your mission. Create war, create more sickness,
- 21:17Speaker 5: more mischief towards system.
- 21:18Speaker 3: They'll spend a chance.
- 21:19Speaker 5: They going victims.
- 21:20Speaker 3: It all that up to your riches.
- 21:22Speaker 6: We need more killings, the more we pay you your
- 21:24Speaker 6: more willing ig nore feelings.
- 21:26Speaker 5: Just go and record, get it.
- 21:28Speaker 3: You've got a conscious.
- 21:29Speaker 6: Oh you can go and poor with them, or I
- 21:31Speaker 6: can give you a life you can never afford.
- 21:33Speaker 5: Welcome aboard the dollar's power.
- 21:35Speaker 3: This is your Lord, God.
- 21:36Speaker 1: I promise you about to blow up like never before.
- 21:39Speaker 3: God needs you.
- 21:40Speaker 6: They keep them choked up high off Sirrup and bill game.
- 21:42Speaker 5: You ate it out.
- 21:43Speaker 1: Somebody you even care who's still there Forget them?
- 21:46Speaker 3: This is hip hop.
- 21:47Speaker 5: Go tell that chip to make her hips drop all
- 21:49Speaker 5: over TikTok.
- 21:50Speaker 1: And when you're hits dropped, you're gonna be the man.
- 21:52Speaker 5: It's all part of the bigger plans.
- 21:54Speaker 3: You'll get your.
- 21:55Speaker 6: Little followers, but I'll always have to look raise.
- 21:59Speaker 3: What is it?
- 22:00Speaker 2: Joe gave up a sack Ford fae.
- 22:02Speaker 3: I can really mag you hit stack with making.
- 22:06Speaker 2: Plague that I sanged Joe life. See, you just gotta
- 22:09Speaker 2: sign and blood sign and plug can't check you fand
- 22:14Speaker 2: and you signed and blood it all goes up.
- 22:18Speaker 6: When you signed in blood, hy Man, there was no
- 22:22Speaker 6: way I could goify it.
- 22:23Speaker 3: Very evil.
- 22:23Speaker 6: I was trying to escape, and there was no way
- 22:26Speaker 6: I would inspire these kids to live a lifestyle I
- 22:28Speaker 6: didn't want to live myself, so of course I didn't
- 22:31Speaker 6: sign that deal. You see, the core Mont issue was
- 22:34Speaker 6: like I was on a search for something more, like
- 22:37Speaker 6: something that could fulfill me. I thought acceptance from y'all
- 22:40Speaker 6: might give me that, so I chased it. I thought
- 22:43Speaker 6: getting to the bag, whether on the block or through music,
- 22:45Speaker 6: would give me that, so I chased it. I thought
- 22:48Speaker 6: the shortages the same and the chores would give me that.
- 22:50Speaker 3: So I chased it.
- 22:51Speaker 6: Guess what I got it on and I still felt
- 22:55Speaker 6: abster heart.
- 22:56Speaker 3: None of that worked well. Around that time. My man
- 22:59Speaker 3: line like the CHRISTI.
- 23:01Speaker 6: He was always telling me about how Jesus gave him
- 23:03Speaker 6: fulfillment and purpose, and I.
- 23:05Speaker 3: Could really see that he was a changed man.
- 23:08Speaker 6: Now I believed in a god, but it was a
- 23:09Speaker 6: god I made up in my mind, like he was
- 23:11Speaker 6: never answering my prayers. So I thought, I've tried everything
- 23:15Speaker 6: and searched everywhere except one place. I decided to try
- 23:20Speaker 6: something I never tried before. Like I got on my knees,
- 23:23Speaker 6: I prayed my first prayer and I called on Jesus, bro, you.
- 23:31Speaker 5: Are listening to the light of Las Vegas. This is
- 23:34Speaker 5: the Hiss Hop radio show.
- 23:54Speaker 3: All right, y'all, we are back from the break and
- 23:57Speaker 3: that is a brother Dayton with to sign in blood.
- 24:02Speaker 3: I love that end part, he says, Yo. I called
- 24:05Speaker 3: up on Jesus, Yo. Everything else left me empty. And
- 24:09Speaker 3: that is right, man, that is right. I'm still stuck
- 24:13Speaker 3: on the last episode where it say is that we
- 24:16Speaker 3: are to seek the Lord as if we're groping in
- 24:20Speaker 3: darkness with hopes to obtain him. That is our whole
- 24:25Speaker 3: purpose in life is to seek the Lord. Amen. We
- 24:29Speaker 3: can't get distracted by these other things. Hallelujah. And yeah,
- 24:34Speaker 3: that's what Deton was saying right here only his hot
- 24:39Speaker 3: radio podcast. Now it's time for the accountability partner segments.
- 24:46Speaker 3: The accountability partner he knows put in my heart. One
- 24:50Speaker 3: day I was working the altar in church, praying with
- 24:53Speaker 3: our brothers and sisters, and I noticed some of us
- 24:58Speaker 3: are still struggling with the same sin we struggle with
- 25:01Speaker 3: a year ago. There should be progression, that should be growth.
- 25:05Speaker 3: We should have a seriousness about our walk with the Lord,
- 25:10Speaker 3: and accountability helps us. Sometimes things in our lives won't
- 25:14Speaker 3: go away or won't break until we connect with our
- 25:19Speaker 3: accountability partner. It's I mean, you read in the Bible.
- 25:24Speaker 3: Why do you think Jesus said, go and become a disciple,
- 25:28Speaker 3: go and make disciples. That's just kingdom one oh one.
- 25:34Speaker 3: When we allow someone to pour into us the word
- 25:38Speaker 3: to God. Whether we need correction, instruction, and righteousness. The
- 25:42Speaker 3: Bible says we're like sheep, and sheep are dumb animals,
- 25:46Speaker 3: all right, And this is this is how we look
- 25:49Speaker 3: in the spiritual realm. We need that shepherd, We need
- 25:53Speaker 3: that correction, We need that help in some things. We
- 25:58Speaker 3: need agreement in prayer. You know how it is. You
- 26:01Speaker 3: get into a fight, but sometimes we need help. You know,
- 26:05Speaker 3: somebody comes, they got you back, and you know we
- 26:09Speaker 3: put that demon on the ground and you start stomping
- 26:11Speaker 3: on his neck. Yeah, that's that's that's who we are
- 26:15Speaker 3: right here on his Hot Radio podcast. Let's stop. Let's
- 26:19Speaker 3: stop some some demons today. And so the way we
- 26:23Speaker 3: do that is by agreement in prayer, by coming together,
- 26:28Speaker 3: being honest, having integrity, right, because we all want to
- 26:33Speaker 3: seem like we're more than what we truly are. We're
- 26:36Speaker 3: more spiritual than we are. No, we all have the flesh,
- 26:39Speaker 3: we all struggle. I need y'all just as much as
- 26:42Speaker 3: y'all need me. Amen. So to go further in the segments,

- 29:41Speaker 3: line of work, what skill, what ability did they have
- 29:46Speaker 3: in common? The first one to get it becomes a

- 30:03Speaker 3: to give our community shout outs. Shout out once again
- 30:07Speaker 3: to Valley High School. My wife and my daughter went

- 30:14Speaker 3: the finishing touches there. Also, I have an event coming
- 30:22Speaker 3: up this week at the Juvenile Detention Center but a
- 30:27Speaker 3: lot of music and all that will be a spinning
- 30:32Speaker 3: on the ones in two's, so we'll be ministering down there.
- 30:37Speaker 3: Keep us in prayer. Also, we got some more things
- 30:41Speaker 3: coming up. Like I mentioned earlier, we're gonna be looking
- 30:44Speaker 3: at a new area of town where we're gonna be
- 30:47Speaker 3: ministring and music and you know we're gonna allow God
- 30:52Speaker 3: to have his way. We have an event coming up

- 32:21Speaker 3: So as we close out today, family listen. Just like Paul,
- 32:26Speaker 3: get to do life alone. You don't have to do
- 32:30Speaker 3: life alone either. God places people in your life and
- 32:36Speaker 3: he does it for a purpose. There's a reason sometimes
- 32:40Speaker 3: some people are seasonal, because some people are pillars. They
- 32:46Speaker 3: are a part of your foundation. You have to pray
- 32:50Speaker 3: and ask God for a discernment to find out who
- 32:55Speaker 3: is who. So stay open, stay active in the call
- 33:00Speaker 3: that God has given you, in trust that he will
- 33:05Speaker 3: align your steps only. Man, I'm excited to know that
- 33:11Speaker 3: my brothers zone is is getting back into the music.
- 33:16Speaker 3: He sent me some artwork just the other day and
- 33:19Speaker 3: it's just excited too, exciting him to interact, you know,
- 33:25Speaker 3: with the music again and with the calling, and it's
- 33:28Speaker 3: inspired me to keep it up, brother, because you're inspiring
- 33:31Speaker 3: me also to get back in the studio to finish
- 33:37Speaker 3: this thing. Amen. And as I said before, it's not
- 33:43Speaker 3: about us, It's all about the Christ. And see how
- 33:47Speaker 3: in the next episode
- 33:52Speaker 5: You are listening to the light of Las Vegas, this
- 33:56Speaker 5: hot radio show
