- 0:00I'm Christina, and I'm t and this is the Pretty and Pink again podcast where motherhood meets rediscovery.
- 0:17Hey.
- 0:18Hi.
- 0:21I think that this episode is gonna be very appropriate because we are mid meltdown right now.
- 0:27We've had like our first kind of like technical issue with the podcast Little s snap in here.
- 0:32This is like a week out.
- 0:33But yeah.
- 0:34If for some reason you opened your podcast to listen to last week and it was saying that it couldn't be played on your device, we are so sorry.
- 0:44We're currently working through that issue.
- 0:47Don't you just have days where there's just like technology issue after technology issue?
- 0:52Yeah.
- 0:53All day, every day.
- 0:54Even this file, trying to send it to make Instagram clips.
- 0:58I tried 13 times to download it and it's oh, you've run out of space.
- 1:02I know.
- 1:03Oh, it you got off the wifi.
- 1:05Oh, you sneezed.
- 1:07And now you blinked the wrong way.
- 1:09Nothing works.
- 1:09I know.
- 1:10That's so annoying.
- 1:11So we apologize hopefully this will be all fixed and hopefully we won't have an issue with this podcast, but that's just that's the real world baby.
- 1:18That's what happens sometimes.
- 1:20I don't know if our listeners know this because why would they know it?
- 1:23They don't know how the sausage is made, but you and I come up with the content, we recorded ourselves here.
- 1:30Mm-hmm.
- 1:30Mm-hmm.
- 1:31We did all of our research.
- 1:32Mm-hmm.
- 1:32I'm like..
- 1:33What recording devices to use, what computer to use, what not to use.
- 1:37We're currently using what not to use for the computer, but you know, and then what software to upload the podcast to then who sends it off to Apple Music?
- 1:48Yes.
- 1:48And like we're doing it all ourselves.
- 1:50And it was important for us.
- 1:51Yes.
- 1:51I remember we said that we didn't want to just have this podcast be like, taken over by a company or an agency or something like that.
- 2:00Like I'm sure some podcasts start out with a huge team and we're just giving you guys a little behind the scenes.
- 2:05But we do we figured this out all ourselves.
- 2:08And I think it's important to be able to do that and to know how things work.
- 2:12Yes.
- 2:12But.
- 2:12Today we woke up and we do not know how to fix what's going on.
- 2:16We were like, where's the team?
- 2:17Not, we need team, we, and kudos to Christina's mom for the one who told us it wasn't working.
- 2:24Mom was like by the way, your podcast isn't working.
- 2:27I'm like I tried to download it this morning in my car.
- 2:29And I was like, oh, it's the wifi.
- 2:30The wifi never works.
- 2:31And my, the wifi never works anywhere.
- 2:33You just think it's you.
- 2:34And I'm just like, oh, it's just me.
- 2:36The WiFi's not working.
- 2:36That's why it's not downloading.
- 2:38Yep.
- 2:38Nope, it's not working for anybody.
- 2:39Oh.
- 2:39Oh, that's so funny.
- 2:40But, growing pains, that's why they call on that.
- 2:42I know.
- 2:43I know.
- 2:43So anyways.
- 2:45We are Midsummer Mid Meltdown.
- 2:47Yeah.
- 2:47It was Christina's birthday yesterday.
- 2:48Yes, it was.
- 2:49So happy birthday.
- 2:50Thank you so much.
- 2:51We're going to lunch with some of our friends after this.
- 2:53So we thought it would be fun to just give everybody a catch up what we've been doing lately, what's been working for us this summer.
- 3:00What hasn't been Just some of like our fun summer.
- 3:03Beauty things like the foods we've been eating, the things we've been doing, what we've been enjoying.
- 3:09Yeah.
- 3:09Just a little catch up.
- 3:10I feel like every once in a while we love the little catchup episodes.
- 3:13Yeah.
- 3:13Where we can just shoot the shit and chat.
- 3:16So we're saying this is mid meltdown midsummer, mid all the things.
- 3:21Okay.
- 3:21So give me a little summer catch up.
- 3:23So far, how's the big going?
- 3:25All.
- 3:26So I think that this summer's been going a lot better than last summer.
- 3:30Yep.
- 3:30Last summer was not great and I've been having only like little pieces of not great versus the whole thing being not great.
- 3:39Mini meltdowns.
- 3:40Just mini melt meltdowns.
- 3:40Just a little one mini meltdowns.
- 3:42Yeah.
- 3:42So I think it's been going good.
- 3:44Good.
- 3:44I am bleeding money with childcare and camps in order to make these things happen and everybody like happy.
- 3:52But everybody so far seems.
- 3:55So that's the, I was gonna say,'cause my next question was gonna be, what are you doing different this summer?
- 4:00So I'm having the kids do things that they want to do, which is not all day camps.
- 4:05Okay.
- 4:05It's one is like tennis, one's doing like tennis clinics, one likes football, one's doing like football clinics and he's doing all star baseball.
- 4:12And so he has like practices.
- 4:13So he's like physically busy.
- 4:15Like one likes to act, she's doing an acting camp, so she's gonna play tomorrow.
- 4:20One likes to just hang out with me all day.
- 4:22So I have a sitter for her.
- 4:24Like right now they're getting candy and then they're watching a movie so I just have everybody doing something'cause it's hard.
- 4:30I bet.
- 4:30When they're getting a little bit older and now, like you just said, they have different interests so.
- 4:35the options are, you either have to get everybody to do the same thing and agree on it, and you're saying, which they hate.
- 4:41It just makes so much, it makes more sense to split them up.
- 4:43But then how does that impact you?
- 4:45Yeah it costs me money, of course.
- 4:47And I have to get a helper, right?
- 4:49I have to get a helper and I didn't, I tried to do it all last summer and I was going bananas.
- 4:54So you were trying to do all of this stuff.
- 4:56I was trying to do the fun stuff summer by keeping them happy.
- 4:58Yes.
- 4:58Yeah.
- 4:59And I can't do that alone.
- 5:00But so far.
- 5:02We're okay.
- 5:02So we ha I did have a mini meltdown on Friday.
- 5:04You'll think This is funny.
- 5:05Tell me,'cause I texted you a picture.
- 5:07So Friday Ava went to my mother-in-law's in New Jersey for a couple of days, and then Nick and I took the other three to a Mets game.
- 5:15My son Vincent is a huge Mets fan.
- 5:18Like he knows all the players, all the stats, all the trades, all the whatever facts you would know about baseball.
- 5:23I know nothing about baseball, but I do love merch.
- 5:25So of course we get to the game and we get all merch up and now we're like new Mets fans.
- 5:31Of course.
- 5:31You know, Like me and Mila hit the merch store.
- 5:33Like we were like number one fans right now.
- 5:36Now you're like dressed for the park.
- 5:38Now we are dressed for the part, but it is so loud.
- 5:41There is so much going on.
- 5:44And everybody, I want a hot dog.
- 5:45I want pizza, I want a beer, I want a drink, I want this.
- 5:47I, that was me and Nick.
- 5:48Yeah.
- 5:48I want this, I want that.
- 5:49You need a beer.
- 5:49So we're like up and down from the seats like 10 times getting everybody what they need.
- 5:54And I was like, oh God.
- 5:56Oh no, it's happening.
- 5:57I'm having the knee meltdown.
- 5:59You felt it coming.
- 6:00So I said to Nick, I was like, I gotta go get some fresh air.
- 6:02I gotta get outta here.
- 6:03So I go inside where it's like fresh air, or not fresh air.
- 6:07Cool air.
- 6:07Cool air.
- 6:08Yeah.
- 6:08And there's like TVs everywhere, like blasting, people screaming because it was a Yankees game.
- 6:14You were just so overstimulated.
- 6:16I bet.
- 6:16I was so overstimulated.
- 6:17So I go into the bathroom, TV's in the bathroom.
- 6:21I go into the exit, stairwell.
- 6:23I'm like TV's in the exit stairwell.
- 6:25I'm like, oh no.
- 6:27What am I gonna do?
- 6:28No moment of peace.
- 6:29No.
- 6:30So I just went back out to the game and I just started cheering.
- 6:33If I can't get away from it, like my nervous system, I think you can't beat them.
- 6:36Join them.
- 6:36Just gonna join them.
- 6:37And the kids were like, mom, you were gone for three innings.
- 6:40I'm like, shut up.
- 6:43But it's hard to Calm yourself when you're with kids and they're p pawing at you.
- 6:47And I know, I I know.
- 6:49And I always look to you you're in like a few phases ahead of me.
- 6:52And then like sometimes you come back with these stories and I'm like, I guess there's just no relief.
- 6:56You just go from like face to face.
- 6:57I get so overstimulated.
- 6:59So that to me just sounds like a nightmare.
- 7:02I wish I could give you something like some glimmer of hope.
- 7:06Yeah.
- 7:06But I will tell you that it didn't debilitate me and I didn't A not go, which would've been something I would've done when my kids were little.
- 7:14Or B, have to leave.
- 7:16Or see ruin the day for everybody.
- 7:18Power through.
- 7:18I was, I'm more equipped to power through.
- 7:22Love it.
- 7:22So it was a big win.
- 7:24That's great.
- 7:24It was a big win.
- 7:25That's great.
- 7:27So how about you?
- 7:28What you got?
- 7:29For me, I have been having, everybody has been.
- 7:32Pretty good, like we're in a pretty decent spot, but it is just so funny how we.
- 7:38In Connecticut, we go from the, we can't go outside because it's too cold to, we can't go outside because is too hot.
- 7:44It's too hot and there's just, so that's worse.
- 7:47I almost think I know, and there's just like a few weeks in between that, where you get that.
- 7:52Beautiful air and you're like, oh, we can go outside.
- 7:55It's fine for them.
- 7:55Now we're back to the we can go outside first thing in the morning, but then they have to come in and then we can go outside, right before bed and, but then that kind of ends up getting everybody in a second wind, getting that fresh air that late.
- 8:07So we're so strategic about like when we can go outside, when we can get the fresh air.
- 8:13And I know people deal with this all over the country because I remember when we had Lauren from a low profile on, she had said, yeah, back in like April or May.
- 8:20She was starting to deal with this.
- 8:21Yeah.
- 8:21She said that sometimes happens.
- 8:23It's what happens to us during the winter is what happens to people in the south.
- 8:26Yeah.
- 8:26During the summer.
- 8:27So I think we all feel it and it's just so hard.
- 8:30Like you're like, I know they need the fresh air.
- 8:32Your life works so much better when the kids get that fresh air and sun.
- 8:36But then it's it's that fine line.
- 8:38It's what we always talk about where it's like you go a drop over, it's like too much sun.
- 8:43Too much fresh air.
- 8:44And then it backfires on you.
- 8:45So that's where we're at.
- 8:47It's just that.
- 8:48Strategizing all the time.
- 8:50I know we had, I had a lawn guy come out yesterday to help me with some of the lawn and like weeds and so I just, my house is a jungle and we did family weeding on Saturday and I thought Vincent was gonna just leave the family because he, I was like, we're all weeding before we go.
- 9:05Like we have these like fun plans the rest of the weekend.
- 9:08There's no reason why if we all pull weeds, we can't be done with this project in a few hours.
- 9:13So after the family weeding, I was like, I need to call in some big guns.
- 9:18I need more help than just my four kids, little hands.
- 9:21And my husband, so the guy was out here yesterday helping, like walking the property and he was like, you do you have a pool person?
- 9:28Because the pool looks really dirty.
- 9:30I'm like.
- 9:31Oh, it does.
- 9:31There was like a dead mole in it, there was algae on the side of the pool.
- 9:35So the filter had been, is broken on my pool.
- 9:38Have you been swimming in this?
- 9:40No, actually we haven't been using it.
- 9:42'cause it's been so hot.
- 9:43It's been too hot.
- 9:44The kids haven't even wanted to go in the pool.
- 9:47And now also it's also disgusting and dirty.
- 9:50Oh, this weather.
- 9:51So we're gonna do a little bit of a summer roundup.
- 9:54Our favorite things.
- 9:55This is bringing me back to like episode five.
- 9:57I feel like we did like our, which is a good one.
- 9:59Yeah.
- 9:59We did like all of our favorite like beauty hacks and things that make us feel good.
- 10:02It was like basically a pink spotlight, full episode.
- 10:06But what are you using this summer?
- 10:08Any pink fun that you can share?
- 10:10I'll start with my skincare.
- 10:13Okay.
- 10:13And my beauty.
- 10:14Cool.
- 10:14We'll break it up into the different segments.
- 10:16Love it.
- 10:17All right.
- 10:17So I've been really into bright nails.
- 10:20Yes, you have.
- 10:21I know you have really pretty pink.
- 10:22So this, I have like hot pink, flamingo pink.
- 10:25Yes.
- 10:25Nails.
- 10:26I love it.
- 10:26Nails.
- 10:26I usually go every three weeks.
- 10:28And last week I did the Ferrari Red.
- 10:30It's the, I know that, I think it's DND.
- 10:31It's like the gel polish.
- 10:32It's a true red.
- 10:33It is a true red.
- 10:35Love it.
- 10:35So I'm really into the bright nails.
- 10:37And then I've been obsessed with those elea drops.
- 10:40There's SPF 40 in them.
- 10:42Niacinamide hyaluronic acid, and I love them.
- 10:45I like the color that's like the tinted.
- 10:47It's tinted.
- 10:47I think the shade, that shade that I use is called mat.
- 10:51And and then I actually switched my skincare.
- 10:54I started new skincare.
- 10:55Yeah.
- 10:55So my sister-in-law mm-hmm.
- 10:57gina, hi Gina.
- 10:58Hi G.
- 10:59And she goes to this place, like down the street from her and her, one of her like best friends is an esthetician and works there, and she's been getting her like Botox and all her stuff there since she was in her, early thirties or whatever.
- 11:10And so I went with her there because my, the girl that I go to spends her summer in the Cape and I wasn't gonna be able to see her for the summer.
- 11:18So I went there and I did my Botox there.
- 11:21I don't even think I told you this, but I did a lip flip.
- 11:24Oh, I've done that before.
- 11:25Have ever done that before?
- 11:25I have.
- 11:26You can't use a straw.
- 11:27No.
- 11:27And that's why I was like, I cannot, this cannot be done.
- 11:29I like live on a straw.
- 11:31I can't do this again.
- 11:31I couldn't drink outta my Stanley.
- 11:32I couldn't drink my iced coffee.
- 11:34I was like, and you, and looked, you should've seen me look so funny eating watermelon.
- 11:38Oh my God.
- 11:38I was like, oh, I loved it.
- 11:41I loved it after two weeks, but I just couldn't, I couldn't hang with the not being able to, and you look.
- 11:46Absolutely absurd trying to drink like you cannot, oh my God.
- 11:50Purse your lips to get a straw.
- 11:52Yeah.
- 11:53And the water just like dribble.
- 11:54It just dribble down.
- 11:55So I currently have a lip flip, but I did it and it like, looks cute.
- 12:00It's but I'm not noticing anything.
- 12:01I guess I went feeling from a flip lip and no feeling in my face to a normal lip and I can't use a straw.
- 12:08Okay.
- 12:08But anyways, I did that when I was there the girl that was doing the injection has like perfect glassy skin.
- 12:15I'm like, what do you use on your face?
- 12:17And she was like, oh, I use our line here.
- 12:19We sell Aji skincare.
- 12:21Oh, okay.
- 12:21So I bought, I was like, if I had to get two things, what would you suggest I get?
- 12:26So I bought the Obagi daily hydro drops.
- 12:30So it's like a serum.
- 12:30It's a serum.
- 12:31And then I got an eye serum.
- 12:32It's called ELAs Derm.
- 12:33Love it.
- 12:34And I like this'cause you can it's like a roller.
- 12:36You can roll it on.
- 12:37Ooh, I love that.
- 12:37Oh, and it's cool.
- 12:38So these are my new You are looking very glowy.
- 12:42Yeah, I think it's the d the combination between the um, IA drops, which I also stole from my sister-in-law when I was there and then the two skincare things.
- 12:51Oh, I love that.
- 12:51So those are my new two faves.
- 12:54They're looking good.
- 12:54And my lip and my flip lip.
- 12:55What about you?
- 12:56Okay.
- 12:56So I have been, you guys probably know, but I've talked about, I think this was a pink spotlight of Me too, was my, the bronzing drops that I always use mm-hmm.
- 13:04from Lux Unfiltered.
- 13:05I love those.
- 13:06They're face bronzing drops.
- 13:08The nor the ones I usually use are clear.
- 13:11It's the gradual one.
- 13:12Where you can put it in with your moisturizer and it basically gives you a very natural looking tan on your face.
- 13:18So I love that because then I feel like I don't have to wear as much makeup.
- 13:21But they launched a bronzing one.
- 13:24Like the drops are not clear.
- 13:26They're actual like shimmery and bronzy.
- 13:28And so that's new.
- 13:29So these actually have color on them.
- 13:31Oh, and I started using those this summer and I love them.
- 13:35'cause you get instant color, which is so nice.
- 13:37Okay.
- 13:37And then the tan kind of develops underneath.
- 13:39How does the transfer with your clothes?
- 13:41Are you noticing any transfer?
- 13:42It's super mild because it's almost like little speckly bronzy.
- 13:46So it's not heavy.
- 13:47So the pigment's not crazy.
- 13:49You get like an instant color lift and like a little bit of a glow, but it's not so obnoxious where then you feel like you're gonna transfer it on anything.
- 13:59You're afraid to sit.
- 14:00So I like, I've even put them on and then I've slept and they've been fine.
- 14:04Like there, there's been no transfer on the pillowcase or anything, so I'm like it's subtle enough.
- 14:08But I absolutely love those and those make such a difference.
- 14:12Okay.
- 14:12And then this is not skincare, but this is more haircare.
- 14:15And so you guys know, I've talked again, another pink spotlight of mine has been my shark flex style, and that's, I would say.
- 14:2380% of the time, that's what I'm using to do my hair.
- 14:26But it's just been so hot.
- 14:28I just have not wanted to like, have any part of a blow dryer.
- 14:31Yeah.
- 14:31Like recently, I feel you, it's just been so hot.
- 14:33It started with the beach, like being on the beach for a week and I was just like not into it.
- 14:38So what I've been doing is I've been air drying my hair.
- 14:41I normally hate that.
- 14:42Mm-hmm.
- 14:42But I've really been embracing these like Kylie Jenner undone waves.
- 14:46I'm obsessed and it's been so much easier because I've been letting my hair air dry.
- 14:51I always do the front pieces because I never like how my hair looks when like the front is chaotic.
- 14:56But then I air dry the rest and I've been using these little, like scrunchie towels.
- 15:01They look like a microfiber, but it's a scrunchie.
- 15:04Ooh.
- 15:04And I've been like throwing my hair up.
- 15:07In either a bun or a loose ponytail with that.
- 15:10And that kind of helps to absorb some of the water and then you don't feel like you have wet hair.
- 15:14I don't feel that.
- 15:14And then it's sitting on your back.
- 15:15Yes.
- 15:15'cause I, ugh, I hate that feeling.
- 15:17And then when my hair is dry, I've been taking a curling iron and do I, I posted the method that I've been doing, but it's, I just run that through like random pieces, not even my full head.
- 15:29And that's been kind of my summer style.
- 15:31I've been liking it so there's not as much heat on my hair.
- 15:34And it's still been lasting.
- 15:36'cause normally I was finding, that's why I like the shark because it gives you like a blowout for a few days.
- 15:41But this has also been working too.
- 15:43I it, so I've been liking it and that's I love it.
- 15:45And then I'm not like fighting the humidity, good hair tip.
- 15:47Embrace the curls in the waves for the summer.
- 15:50Yeah.
- 15:50Like I just feel like it's easier.
- 15:51I actually took my extensions out because I was having similar issues where I just don't feel like blow drying my hair or even, I don't even feel like getting it blow dried at the salon.
- 16:00Yeah.
- 16:00As much as I love that, yeah.
- 16:01It's just when it's too hot, it's too hot, I just wanna throw it up in a bun.
- 16:04And I feel like you can't always do that.
- 16:06So I took them out.
- 16:07Oh, it must feel so much.
- 16:08So I'm gonna be doing the air dried look too for the rest of the summer.
- 16:11Love.
- 16:12Yeah.
- 16:12It's just nice.
- 16:13And then I feel like then when it gets to be a little bit more crisp and the air is better.
- 16:17I feel like I am always just fighting the humidity and it's like pointless.
- 16:20Yeah.
- 16:20We'll circle back in November.
- 16:22I love it.
- 16:22'cause it'll be humid all the way through till then.
- 16:24Okay.
- 16:25What about.
- 16:27Any clothing, accessories, anything fun you wanna share there?
- 16:30Okay.
- 16:31So I have been obsessed with Target lately.
- 16:34Mm-hmm.
- 16:34Obsessed.
- 16:35I love their shoes.
- 16:36Like how cute are these shoes?
- 16:37Love these little pearl shoes.
- 16:38I love You've been, you have been getting the cutest stuff from Target, like the cutest bags.
- 16:41I got the cutest beach bags.
- 16:43Love it.
- 16:43Like cutest totes.
- 16:44Like I am all in with Target lately.
- 16:47I got really cute sunglasses the other day.
- 16:49I'll post them.
- 16:49I'm, I love it.
- 16:50Love it so much.
- 16:51And then I really like this other clothing brand.
- 16:54I keep forgetting what the name of it, it's like Tw, TPW or Twp.
- 16:59Oh, from there?
- 17:00No, it's they have their own website.
- 17:01It's like their own clothing brand.
- 17:03Oh, I have not heard of it.
- 17:03And they sell these really nice, like dress shirts and they're like cropped in the front.
- 17:07They're long in the back.
- 17:08Oh, that the one you were wearing that, that's one I wearing that one was when we recorded last week.
- 17:12And I love them so much and I've been I feel like you can wear them in the summer'cause they're very light and then you can wear them through the fall.
- 17:19But they are a splurge.
- 17:20So I bought two and I can just see myself like re-wearing them.
- 17:24Over and over.
- 17:25They're like those like classic staple pieces.
- 17:26Those are nice.
- 17:27And everything that I've been buying has been like with Italy on my mind.
- 17:31Because I don't think I shared with the listeners, but my mom and I are going to Italy.
- 17:34That's so exciting.
- 17:35In October.
- 17:36I know.
- 17:37That's gonna be so fun.
- 17:37Which I'm really excited about for a long time.
- 17:39Yeah.
- 17:39We're going for 10 days.
- 17:40That's amazing.
- 17:41So again, shout out to my sister-in-law.
- 17:43She is coming to play mom for the week.
- 17:47So everything that I've been buying, like these little pieces I've been buying with Italy on my mind, I'm trying to dress in like one.
- 17:53Color palette.
- 17:54Color palette.
- 17:54Yep.
- 17:55Just to make things look easy.
- 17:56The capsule.
- 17:57Yes.
- 17:57Travel, wardrobe.
- 17:58Yep.
- 17:58Yes.
- 17:59A cap.
- 17:59Never fail.
- 18:00Whatever you said never fail.
- 18:01Like those shoes that you're wearing, those would be perfect.
- 18:03These are really comfortable.
- 18:04Those are so cute.
- 18:05Okay.
- 18:05So that's my, like I love that clothing.
- 18:09Yeah.
- 18:09Actually.
- 18:10Okay.
- 18:10So that's what I've been doing.
- 18:12I'll talk about two clothing kind of things that I've been doing this summer.
- 18:14So I realized this is my first summer in four years that I'm not either pregnant or freshly postpartum.
- 18:24Mm-hmm.
- 18:25And I talked about this when we talked to Mary Angelo which was our fashion styling episode a few months ago.
- 18:32But I've really been going back to that kind of capsule wardrobe.
- 18:36I have really been finding myself like.
- 18:39In need of everything.
- 18:40Mm-hmm.
- 18:41And that's such a frustrating feeling when you're, like, you go into your closet and you're like, oh, here we go again.
- 18:45New season.
- 18:47And I'm starting from the ground up, right?
- 18:49No shorts, no basics, no nothing that's comfortable, swimsuits, all of that.
- 18:55So it's frustrating when you get to that point where you're like, I'm needing to start again.
- 18:59And as we go season to season, I'm finding myself again.
- 19:01Here we are.
- 19:02I'm a different size and so I have whereas I've just been, I didn't buy any new bathing suits this summer.
- 19:08Maybe I bought like one.
- 19:09That's the best feeling when you can be, I'm rinse, repeat.
- 19:12My body size hasn't really changed.
- 19:14Yeah.
- 19:15So first of all, I've been on the quince bandwagon for a very long time.
- 19:19Ooh.
- 19:19I love Quince so much.
- 19:21I'm really excited because I got a collaboration with them, so I'm gonna be working with them.
- 19:26That's awesome.
- 19:26In a.
- 19:28That sort of capacity.
- 19:29Did they do home stuff too?
- 19:30They have everything.
- 19:31They have, right?
- 19:32I wanna try their sheets.
- 19:33I actually went into like the black hole, which is quince, and I didn't realize how much stuff they had.
- 19:39They have kids stuff.
- 19:40They have like baby SleepSack, they have sheets, they have home stuff.
- 19:44Like the level of like categories on there, right?
- 19:48They have everything.
- 19:48It's everything.
- 19:49What if you're looking for something, you can find it on there.
- 19:51So I ended up spending way too much time on there the other day, but I've really been loving their clothing and so I did a little haul for myself.
- 19:59I bought myself a ton of basics.
- 20:02So I have a kind of cardigan on a car.
- 20:04Is that from there?
- 20:05Yes.
- 20:06Summer cardigan.
- 20:07I love that.
- 20:08I, I always love layers and so I feel like I just needed everything.
- 20:12It was like linen shorts, denim shorts.
- 20:16Sweaters, just everything.
- 20:18And so I was able to get myself a handful of pieces.
- 20:21There's stuff, the quality is insane.
- 20:23How's the price point?
- 20:25The price point is phenomenal.
- 20:26It's phenomenal.
- 20:27Like everything I would say is under a hundred dollars.
- 20:30There's plenty of pieces under 50.
- 20:33And I love the materials that they use.
- 20:35Like things are linen, cotton.
- 20:38It just doesn't feel like that cheapy material.
- 20:41And so I was normally somebody that gravitated towards like Amazon, especially with my postpartum, like not knowing what size I was in.
- 20:50And honestly, Amazon, sometimes you can find some great fines on there.
- 20:55I love sharing good fines from Amazon.
- 20:56You have to do some digging, but you have to do some digging.
- 20:58I feel like Amazon than yeses and things are still like$30.
- 21:03Yeah,$40.
- 21:04It's not it's not free.
- 21:05You're still spending the money.
- 21:07But you're really in a lot of pieces.
- 21:09You're not.
- 21:09But these are entering the capsule collection.
- 21:10Yes.
- 21:10And you sit on for under a hundred dollars.
- 21:12Yes.
- 21:13So I've been finding a lot of pieces for that are like on Quince, that are like$40,$50, but the quality is there.
- 21:20Is there.
- 21:21And and what I also love a lot is being able to mix and match them.
- 21:25So the color points are all like, everything just effortlessly goes together.
- 21:30So I've really been happy with my hall and I had, I didn't spend that much, and I did this for the springtime too.
- 21:38So with Quince, like I bought a handful of things, really was able to mix and match things.
- 21:43Rewear, a lot of pieces.
- 21:44'cause they're very classic and so I'm gonna have to probably do that again in the fall.
- 21:48Yeah.
- 21:48Just'cause I'm entering that like out of a year postpartum.
- 21:52My body's kind of, I'm hoping, I'm at a stable point right now.
- 21:55And I can start investing back into the wardrobe.
- 21:58That's a loaded sentence.
- 21:59Hoping you're at a stable point.
- 22:01I hope, at least, I hope I don't have to keep going and rebuying the pieces because that really bother bother me.
- 22:06Maybe you can share when this episode comes out on our pretty and pink page, like your quince roundup.
- 22:10Yes.
- 22:10I It'll, yes.
- 22:10It's always so helpful for somebody.
- 22:12It is like you always make things look effortless.
- 22:14Like you, ever since I've met you, you've always like layered things.
- 22:17So pretty.
- 22:18Like you always shop in like a very beautiful color tone that like matches your skin tone.
- 22:23Thank you.
- 22:24Like it always just looks so easy for you.
- 22:26I try to just, I think that this sort of thing helps and, yeah.
- 22:30I've really, I feel like that tip, if you guys have not ordered from them before, I highly recommend it.
- 22:35Their sizing is pretty like accurate.
- 22:37Yeah.
- 22:37Which I also appreciate.
- 22:38And then the other clothing hack, which I was gonna say for my pink spotlight, but I'm gonna chat about it here, is these basic tanks.
- 22:47These are from Amazon.
- 22:48So I have these basic tanks that I've been sharing nonstop over on my Instagram.
- 22:53And they have a padded bra built in.
- 22:55It's a shelf bra with oh my God.
- 22:57Padding link away, please.
- 22:58I will.
- 22:59And they, that is something, this is like what I wear every day.
- 23:02It's basically like a ribbed tank top.
- 23:04Yep.
- 23:04And I have them in a few different colors and all of the neutrals that I wear with my closet.
- 23:10And I love that I could just throw it on.
- 23:12And I don't need a bra.
- 23:13Like it's, I feel like it's just.
- 23:15You're literally not answering the question, what freaking bra do I wear?
- 23:18It's just you don't have to worry about it.
- 23:20It's comfortable.
- 23:21It's very supportive.
- 23:22Did you remember to bring a bra to change into for your dress?
- 23:25I do have a bra.
- 23:25Wait, but this is so funny'cause it's so Christina to either be decked and head to toe in florals or to new dress, be drenched in one color and you have a floral dress in your purse for lunch.
- 23:35Yep.
- 23:35And right now you're dressed.
- 23:36I'm neutral.
- 23:37In neutral.
- 23:37I am.
- 23:38That's so this is very, that's a funny thing.
- 23:40Ct.
- 23:40It's a funny thing to be told because I think that's so accurate.
- 23:44It's either florals or like monochromatic, which is really funny.
- 23:48All right.
- 23:48What about anything like new on the home front?
- 23:51I know.
- 23:51Have you like done anything new around the house?
- 23:53Not really.
- 23:54No.
- 23:54No.
- 23:55Yeah, Us either.
- 23:56I've just been using like the Sonos a lot.
- 23:58Don't.
- 23:58Do you guys have Love?
- 23:59Have that your house I love.
- 23:59Yes.
- 24:00We love Sonos.
- 24:00We have it outside now too.
- 24:02We have those rocks that go around.
- 24:04The pool and the deck and everything.
- 24:06And I've been into like the vibe.
- 24:08I went to a Clie Budds concert a few weeks ago for Chrissy's birthday.
- 24:11And Cali Buds is reggae.
- 24:13It's fun.
- 24:13Very similar to stick summer, stick figure very summer.
- 24:16So if you come to our home, you will hear, be hearing clie buds, like I love it.
- 24:20Reggae playing.
- 24:21I love it all around love.
- 24:22It's like very chill music.
- 24:24Love.
- 24:24So fun.
- 24:25what have you been eating?
- 24:26Anything new.
- 24:27I have been really doing my meal prep for lunch.
- 24:31And it's been helping significantly.
- 24:32I'm back on like my kale salad bandwagon.
- 24:35I love kale because it just holds very well.
- 24:37It's like a really good thing to meal prep.
- 24:39And I doesn't get soggy.
- 24:40Yeah.
- 24:41It like doesn't get soggy too easily.
- 24:43So it can fully be like dressed in the fridge, ready to go and it's there I feel like a salad is so time consuming to make for lunch.
- 24:51So I'm either like kale or pasta salad and then it can stay in the fridge.
- 24:55But I have been on a kale kick.
- 24:57Okay.
- 24:57I just always feel really good when our stomachs are both growling right now.
- 25:00I'm like, it's almost lunchtime.
- 25:02I know.
- 25:02I've been eating these Chobani yogurts for breakfast.
- 25:05I've been, I just recently got like the 20 pack at Costco or however many was in the pack.
- 25:10And there's 20 grams of protein in them.
- 25:11I know.
- 25:12I had one when I was here and I needed a little sneaky snack.
- 25:14Yeah.
- 25:16So I've been eating those in the morning, and then I've been adding, like the Quaker Oats, it's like a cereal.
- 25:22And I've been adding those in there for crunch.
- 25:24And then like sometimes like a blueberry or banana.
- 25:27But this morning Vincent snatched the rest of my yogurt before he got outta the car.
- 25:32So now I'm really hungry.
- 25:33Hungry because I didn't finish my full breakfast.
- 25:36But that's what my go-to snack has been.
- 25:39I like that.
- 25:39That's, they're delicious.
- 25:40They have like tons of flavors too in the variety pack.
- 25:43Anything like fun that you're doing with the kids?
- 25:45So we have been, we don't have a pool at our house, but we have been on the like little kitty pool train.
- 25:51And it's.
- 25:53So fun.
- 25:54But it's also when you live around wildlife, like we've lost a bunch of kitty pools'cause they just pop like the bears anything.
- 26:01So we've literally probably gone through three at this point.
- 26:05But those have just been really fun.
- 26:06Fun.
- 26:06It's like you need that old school one that we had you know the plastic one?
- 26:10Yes, I know.
- 26:10Not the inflatable one, just the old school plastic one.
- 26:13Don't even that you sell at Walmart.
- 26:14I'm pretty sure that you could find one.
- 26:15Okay.
- 26:15I need to find one of those then.
- 26:17But it's nice because a lot of the time, job.
- 26:19I know.
- 26:20I, those, I know sometimes we just have to go, we have to revert back to you just gotta go back.
- 26:24I know.
- 26:24We gotta go back.
- 26:26But yeah, that has been really fun because that's just so much entertainment for the kids and it's just nice.
- 26:30So we've been putting those that on the patio and.
- 26:33Letting them have a good time.
- 26:35All right.
- 26:35That's a good tip.
- 26:36I like that.
- 26:36Just go back to the old school kiddie pool.
- 26:38Yeah.
- 26:38And actually we brought it down into our basement.
- 26:42This was before because we blew it up and then it was, it's been raining, so then we put it in the basement.
- 26:46And we used all of those like balls from a ball pit.
- 26:49Oh my God.
- 26:50You made a ball pit put in.
- 26:50Yeah.
- 26:51Just, working with what we have.
- 26:52That's so smart.
- 26:53How have you been, how are you feeling on the wellness front?
- 26:57Have you been working out anything?
- 26:58So I haven't been working out much because.
- 27:01My workout times are all messed up because I've just been driving my kids everywhere.
- 27:06Yeah.
- 27:06You usually work out when the kids are at school, I usually wake up, do my like things around the house, like laundry cleanup from the night before, push them out the door and then I work out and then I work or do whatever like tasks I have to do.
- 27:19But I have not been doing as much evening driving.
- 27:23Which is usually like my busy time.
- 27:24So I switch and I've been doing an evening walk.
- 27:26Oh, you have?
- 27:27And I kind of like the evening walk.
- 27:29Interesting.
- 27:29Because then I feel like it's like a good way to unwind.
- 27:31At the end of the day.
- 27:32I have so much trouble working out at night.
- 27:35I was actually talking to my girlfriends about this because that's, I'm in that period, first of all, in summer.
- 27:40It just feels like the days are so long.
- 27:42Which is a good thing.
- 27:43Yes.
- 27:43But then it also it just feels like even in the morning and at night, it's like somehow those periods of time are shorter.
- 27:49It doesn't get dark until it's eight o'clock at night, so it just, yeah.
- 27:52Or nine or even, yeah, it's even later.
- 27:54And so I'm just almost having trouble time managing with how long the days feel.
- 27:59It's like almost like they're too long.
- 28:01And I normally love to work out in the morning and I just haven't been sleep for me.
- 28:06I've been so tired.
- 28:07So I feel like I'm just like, at that point, are you not sleeping well lately I just, I dunno.
- 28:11I've just, my sleep has just been all over the place.
- 28:13Like I'm having good days and bad days and, i'm more comfortable now just being like, today is a sleep day.
- 28:20Like I'm not gonna feel guilty about not working out.
- 28:22Like I, my body needs the sleep.
- 28:24That's what my body needs today.
- 28:25Okay.
- 28:26So I've been skipping my morning workouts and I have trouble working out at night.
- 28:31I feel like I end up getting a second wind if I do it too late.
- 28:35Really?
- 28:35So, Yeah.
- 28:36And then I can't go to sleep at night, so I'm just finding that I'm trying to just be active throughout the day and just be like, okay, this is a season where I just cannot fit it in right now.
- 28:46It's not working.
- 28:47What a healthy mindset and.
- 28:48I don't like that because I feel like it is something that I notice mentally when I'm consistently doing it.
- 28:54It does have a profound impact.
- 28:56We've talked to how many people that say percent you need to do movement.
- 28:59Movement has a profound impact on your mental, physical, and emotional health.
- 29:02Does.
- 29:02That is actually our mission statement at all.
- 29:04Age strides.
- 29:05It does.
- 29:06Which is true.
- 29:07I know it does.
- 29:08But I also can't just beat myself up when it just doesn't work.
- 29:12Yeah.
- 29:13Like I can't consistently find the time.
- 29:14It's hard.
- 29:15It is.
- 29:16So I've been doing these PM walks, so you're welcome to join me on a PM walk.
- 29:19I will try.
- 29:20But that's usually bedtime, which is, it's fun.
- 29:23My house.
- 29:23I was just gonna say tip.
- 29:24It's fun to skip it.
- 29:25Yeah.
- 29:27Skip the bedtime.
- 29:29Skip the, oh yeah.
- 29:31Imagine that's gonna go over so well.
- 29:32I know.
- 29:33So I had told you guys about Strides is a couple months back, but we met a few weeks ago and we awarded our 2025 grant recipients.
- 29:42And this is the first time we did this.
- 29:44But we are serving the elderly population this year and we always feel like that population gets forgotten.
- 29:52And.
- 29:52Movement.
- 29:53And we, so we funded these different exercise classes for the elderly population, and one of them was like Yoga Tai Chi Pilates.
- 30:02Because one of the biggest injuries in elderly people are these hip fractures.
- 30:07Because of fall'cause of falling due to lack of balance.
- 30:10Balance.
- 30:10So we funded all these balance programs.
- 30:13That's why Pilates is amazing.
- 30:14Yes.
- 30:15So I'm really excited to share that because it all ties together about how like, movement is important at every age.
- 30:22I know.
- 30:22But as we age, it's really important they call it functional workouts?
- 30:26Because you wanna have good balance, you wanna have good core stability.
- 30:29It's like being well-rounded.
- 30:30Yes.
- 30:30Yeah.
- 30:31I know.
- 30:31But don't make me feel bad.
- 30:32No, I know.
- 30:33I'm like I know I need to do it.
- 30:35No, I literally feel so much better.
- 30:36And it's.
- 30:36So crazy because now I'm a 39-year-old and I can feel when I don't work out for a couple weeks, it's not just like the mental clarity, I feel my body gets so stiff and like I just feel it, like I feel it from every angle when I'm not consistent in my workout.
- 30:53So it's like you can't even, as much as I'm saying, I'm trying to put it out of my mind and not feel guilty about it.
- 30:59I could like mentally do that, but then I feel it in my body where it's like I do not feel as good when I don't work out.
- 31:06When I'm not moving a lot like you are moving, you're moving'cause you have a one and a 3-year-old, but it's still not the same.
- 31:12Why you don't have the time to do Yeah.
- 31:14These other things.
- 31:15I'm not stretching, I'm not I'm just doing a lot of.
- 31:19Like the mom lunges, the grabbing Yeah.
- 31:20You're tensing.
- 31:21That's why you're Yeah.
- 31:22The tenting.
- 31:22So yes.
- 31:23That's why you're so tight.
- 31:24Stiff.
- 31:24Yes, so stiff.
- 31:25So I'm not doing a lot of like the movement where it actually benefits you.
- 31:29I'm like active and running around, but I'm, I am, I'm tense all the time.
- 31:33I literally feel like my body is just tense.
- 31:36Oh my god.
- 31:36All the time.
- 31:37I was at a barbecue on Saturday with my girlfriend Lizzie, and she has two kids, like same age as your one and three.
- 31:42And I talked to her on Monday and she was like, I am so sore from Saturday.
- 31:47I go, what were you doing on Saturday?
- 31:48She was like, I was just chasing my kids.
- 31:50Yeah.
- 31:50That's all it is.
- 31:51Back and forth from like the pool to the playground, from the pool to the hill, like up and down the hill.
- 31:57And you do so much lifting.
- 31:58So sore.
- 31:58Yeah.
- 31:58Oh my God.
- 31:59I have wanted, it has been on my list to make a reel about,'cause people ask me like, what do you do for workouts?
- 32:05And I know, yeah, your arms are so toned.
- 32:07I'm like.
- 32:07Lift my kids like Chase after my kids.
- 32:10That's where I'm at right now.
- 32:12I just feel like I am moving, but it's just not in a way that like actually benefits me.
- 32:16And I'm like feeling flabby'cause I just sit all day behind a steering wheel and drive.
- 32:23Just sit and drive.
- 32:25You're getting everywhere.
- 32:26The flat ass.
- 32:27Yes.
- 32:28Oh my gosh.
- 32:30Okay, we're gonna do a little fun.

- 32:42I can't get, I can't move past.
- 32:44I am gonna be one of those people that's just like I'm not with the times.
- 32:48And I like always considered myself somebody with the times, but I'm just, I'm very nostalgic right now where I'm just listening to old school stuff.
- 32:56All right.
- 32:56So that's where we'll find you.
- 32:57My millennial bangers on Spotify.
- 33:00All right.
- 33:00If you could go to Teleport to one spot this weekend, where are you going?
- 33:04Ooh, Nantucket.
- 33:06Aw.
- 33:06Do you have a favorite spot there?
- 33:07All of them.
- 33:08You cannot eat a bad bite of food on n Uck.
- 33:10Favorite restaurant there?
- 33:11I love called The Pearl.
- 33:12I think it's either the Pearl or Pearl, but that's, yes.
- 33:14Delicious.
- 33:15I can just picture you in your linen and, and crew Tucket and crew listening.
- 33:18So good.
- 33:18Listening to your millennial dinners.
- 33:20I know that's they go hand in hand.
- 33:22What is your, go-to dinner in the summer?
- 33:25When you don't really feel like cooking when it's too hot, what is your, go summer dinner?
- 33:28It goes, I think it goes back to having a pasta salad pre-prepared.
- 33:31Okay.
- 33:31And then just like being able to throw like something grilled on top of it.
- 33:34Like easy peasy.
- 33:36I love that.
- 33:37What is any product or habit that is making you feel put together lately?
- 33:41Ooh.
- 33:42I would, I'll go with my capsule wardrobe.
- 33:44Okay.
- 33:44It's making it very easy to get dressed.
- 33:46I like it.
- 33:47What about you?
- 33:48What is the most ridiculous thing in your pool bag right now?
- 33:52I don't even have a pool bag actually right now.
- 33:56That's the answer.
- 33:57That's the answer.
- 33:58I don't even have a pool bag packed right now us, but I just bought a really cute pool bag.
- 34:02It's like that.
- 34:03There you go.
- 34:03You gotta pack it up.
- 34:04That rattan.
- 34:05Yep.
- 34:05Is that what it's called?
- 34:06Yeah.
- 34:06Rattan.
- 34:07It's so cute.
- 34:08I'm obsessed.
- 34:09There's just, it's empty.
- 34:10What's your most toxic summer trait?
- 34:14Oh, I love to suntan.
- 34:16Oh, that is so toxic.
- 34:17But I only do it for a few minutes and then I get overheated and then I think I'm having a stroke, so I get outta the sun.
- 34:22I know you overheat so fast.
- 34:24Like we could not be different body temp wise.
- 34:26Like I am somebody who's always cold.
- 34:28Yes.
- 34:28And you are always hot.
- 34:29Always hot.
- 34:30Always hot.
- 34:30I sleep with the window open in the winter.
- 34:32Menopause is gonna be a real treat for Nick.
- 34:34No, but I like, need my emotional support iced water.
- 34:37And I love to tan.
- 34:38I love to sunbathe.
- 34:39I love to be tan.
- 34:40It's so bad.
- 34:40It does feel so good, but it's so bad.
- 34:43What about you?
- 34:44What is your, I feel like you're a very good cook.
- 34:46So what is your No fail summer dinner?
- 34:49Like when you don't wanna cook?
- 34:50What's something easy that you My do?
- 34:51Oh gosh.
- 34:51I, gosh, I feel like you guys do a lot.
- 34:53My grill.
- 34:53I grill.
- 34:53You grill too.
- 34:54I'm the griller.
- 34:54I love that hack.
- 34:55All right, so here is a tip.
- 34:56Moms, here's the hack.
- 34:57She told me this and I was like, mind blown.
- 34:59Learn how to use a frigging grill.
- 35:01Yeah.
- 35:01Learn how to use a grill for multiple reasons.
- 35:03Yep.
- 35:03Number one.
- 35:05You get to go outside and be away from your family for 30 minutes.
- 35:08Yep.
- 35:09If you really wanna be pokey, you can probably stretch it to 40 minutes, but learn how to grill.
- 35:14It's awesome.
- 35:15And you have no cleanup in your kitchen.
- 35:18I love, that's what my favorite thing is.
- 35:19But I'm not usually a griller, so I'm like, I need to get on the grilling bandwagon.
- 35:23So you start low and slow.
- 35:24You turn the grill on, you get it nice and hot.
- 35:27And then you turn it low and you just let it go slow.
- 35:30And like with steak, like steak is a good thing to cook on the grill because you can use the palm and you can feel it to feel it.
- 35:37Yep.
- 35:37The chicken, if you really can, you can confused grill, grill chicken.
- 35:40You can just cut the chicken and make sure that it's cooked.
- 35:42But I like, I use a little meat thermometer all the time, but of course you do.
- 35:45You're such a to forward.
- 35:46I have to.
- 35:47Can't wing it.
- 35:48I can't wing it.
- 35:49No.
- 35:49I'm like, I need to know.
- 35:50I need to know.
- 35:50It's the safe would be like, is that chewy too chewy?
- 35:53All right.
- 35:53Throw it back on.
- 35:54That would be my meat thermometer.
- 35:56Are you.
- 35:56Throwing up later.
- 35:58Yeah.
- 35:58Oh, okay.
- 35:59Wasn't good.
- 35:59Okay.
- 35:59Wasn't done.
- 36:00No.
- 36:00But like I'm a meat thermometer girl.
- 36:02Yeah.
- 36:02Tonight I'm doing pork chops on the grill.
- 36:04Like just salt and pepper.
- 36:06Throw it on.
- 36:06Yeah.
- 36:06I love that hack though.
- 36:07'cause you're like, that's how you gain some time.
- 36:10Yes.
- 36:11Some alone time.
- 36:12I go outside, I scroll.
- 36:14I do whatever the hell I want.
- 36:16Love it.
- 36:16Oh, I love it.
- 36:16Sunbathe and yes, I'm on the grill.
- 36:18It's awesome.
- 36:19I love that.
- 36:19That is my dad taught me how to grill.
- 36:21That's the best hack.
- 36:22If you take one thing away from this episode, learn how to use a grill and get, learn how to use grill.
- 36:26It's just like with guys in golf, right?
- 36:28It's learn how to golf.
- 36:29Get that time back.
- 36:30That's like the best mom hack of life.
- 36:31But I don't know why grills are so in we're so intimidating.
- 36:34I don't know if it's'cause some grills have, like you, first you have to turn the gas on.
- 36:38Yeah.
- 36:38And then you need to hit the lighter.
- 36:39And then sometimes it needs the fire.
- 36:42It's a lot.
- 36:43Sometimes like I was afraid it was gonna go like po.
- 36:44Yeah.
- 36:45I think I was just intimidated my eyebrows.
- 36:46I think that's the word.
- 36:47Like you're just intimidated'cause you're like, I don't want it to get too hot.
- 36:50I also just afraid, I'm afraid I'm gonna burn something.
- 36:53'cause I just feel like it's hard to control the heat on a grill.
- 36:56Yeah.
- 36:56But I like that hack and I'm gonna start learning.
- 36:59I'm gonna start putting myself outside and getting the time.
- 37:01Put yourself outside.
- 37:02In worst case then you have black and shrimp for dinner.
- 37:04That's true.
- 37:05Okay.
- 37:05True.
- 37:05That's also good.
- 37:06I love that.
- 37:07Make it intentional.
- 37:08I love it.
- 37:09Okay, so we're gonna close with our pink spotlight, although we know that these always feel, these episodes always feel like just a giant pink spotlight.
- 37:16But is there anything else that you wanna share for a pink spotlight this week?
- 37:19Alright, so we are going to lunch today for your birthday.
- 37:21And we went to lunch last year.
- 37:23The day after your birthday.
- 37:24Yes, we did.
- 37:25And we were like not feeling so great.
- 37:27Nope.
- 37:27I think no matter what, we've had tremendous growth this year and I think that it is never too late to grow.
- 37:32Love that.
- 37:33I think it's never too late to tell yourself I don't like how I'm feeling and I wanna change how I'm feeling.
- 37:39And I think we both did that.
- 37:41And that is my pink spotlight I love.
- 37:42So I'm excited to, it's just a reminder to, I just feel like the I can remember that day with you.
- 37:47And I know that a lot of changes occurred for both of us mm-hmm.
- 37:50in the past year.
- 37:51So I'm just happy to reflect on a year that growth is possible.
- 37:54I know.
- 37:55I love that.
- 37:56Thank you so much.
- 37:56And I love that's your pink spotlight.
- 37:58I could not agree with that more.
- 38:00I think that sometimes, and I remember feeling this way, so if you are feeling this way and you're listening to this, I don't want anything to ever come across that.
- 38:09Oh, we weren't in that place too.
- 38:11Because we both were.
- 38:12Yeah.
- 38:12We've both been in that place where it feels so hard to even want to make a change.
- 38:17And you know that you wanna make a change in your life, but you don't even know where to start.
- 38:22And I think that so much of that is just opening up to people Yep.
- 38:27And talking I think that so many things can be accomplished just by extending a hand.
- 38:33Mm-hmm.
- 38:33And I guess extending an ear and.
- 38:37Listening to somebody or talking through certain things.
- 38:40I think that's like number one, because when you feel like people that you know are feeling the same way that you are, a lot of the times they are, a lot of the times our issues are things that other people relate to.
- 38:51And I think that's number one.
- 38:53It also opens you up to receive advice from other people, maybe some resources for things.
- 39:00And I just think that's number one.
- 39:02But I totally agree with what you said.
- 39:05The changes can be made, you can wake up, changes can be made.
- 39:08They don't building the life that you want.
- 39:10Yeah.
- 39:10They don't all need to happen in one day.
- 39:12And sometimes you forget.
- 39:15What good inside feels like.
- 39:17But if you're able to string a couple good days together, right in a row, it becomes much easier to remember, what feeling good even feels like.
- 39:24and then you can start to put the pieces back together, and do these things that these hacks like that help make you continue to feel good.
- 39:33But I know that's my piece.
- 39:34I love that.
- 39:34I feel like that's such a nice growth, possible place to start.
- 39:36Yes.
- 39:36Because growth is possible.
- 39:37I think you have to realize that.
- 39:38Yeah.
- 39:39So I love that.
- 39:40Mine is not gonna be as deep as yours, but I feel like we always are on the opposite page.
- 39:46But mine is.
- 39:48Brown mascara is trending right now.
- 39:51Like I feel like I always hear people talking about Brown mascara and I loved that idea because I feel like, especially when I did like my color palette assessment which I don't think I've shared on here as much.
- 40:03So maybe I'll save that for like my next week's pink spotlight.
- 40:05Remind me.
- 40:05Okay.
- 40:06I did a color analysis on chat, GPTI will show you guys how I did that, or I'll tell you how I did that.
- 40:11And I am a warm autumn, and so a lot of the times like black is too stark on me.
- 40:17It's too much of a contrast, which makes sense for even when I put on mascara, it's like a little too much.
- 40:22Especially for the everyday it's fine for an event or something.
- 40:25But it's too much for every day.
- 40:27But I also was finding that a lot of Brown mascara were like, not doing it for me.
- 40:31And it was the kind of mascara, it was the color of the brown.
- 40:35So I found one that is like a, it's like a dark brown, and that seems to work for me.
- 40:41Who makes it?
- 40:42It's by a company called Swede, S-W-E-E-D.
- 40:46And I've tried probably 10 Brown mascara and they've all just been like, eh they're not doing it for me.
- 40:52This one I love.
- 40:54Ooh.
- 40:54And you're a mascara girl.
- 40:56So I love mascara know Masra.
- 40:57I know you do.
- 40:57So I, and I love all kinds of mascara.
- 40:59I really liked this one.
- 41:00And it's, again, it's a really great one for every day.
- 41:03So if you just wanna like swipe on a coat of mascara, it's the color brown is just like a rich, like mocha.
- 41:11It's not like light brown.
- 41:13And it's enough, but.
- 41:15It's like just the right amount.
- 41:17All right.
- 41:17Influenced I'm purchasing, so Yeah.
- 41:19So I'll put that in the show notes.
- 41:20We're gonna have to link everything that we talked about here in the show notes too.
- 41:24Yeah.
- 41:24But thank you guys so much for joining.
- 41:28Yeah.
- 41:28It's so fun having a hard episode.
- 41:30Able to listen to last week.
- 41:31I know.
- 41:32If we ever figure that out.
- 41:35Oh, technology.
- 41:36Oh, good times.
- 41:37All right, thank you guys.
- 41:39We'll see you next week.
- 41:40Bye.
- 41:41Bye.
