- 0:00Speaker 1: You're listenings KF I am six forty the Bill Handles
- 0:03Speaker 1: show on demand on the iHeartRadio F.
- 0:12Speaker 2: And now Handle on the news.
- 0:15Speaker 3: Ladies and gentlemen, here's Bill Handle. Hey, here we go.
- 0:22Speaker 3: Handle in the morning crew. Monday morning, April thirteenth, and
- 0:25Speaker 3: it's going to be another Monday. Oh yeah, crazy stuff
- 0:30Speaker 3: going on in the Mideast. And why are you clapping, Neil.
- 0:33Speaker 2: Because it's Monday. I'm happy to see you.
- 0:35Speaker 3: Oh yeah, there you go. Wow, yes you are okay.
- 0:40Speaker 2: Look at all these punums all here for you.
- 0:44Speaker 3: That's true. They all are all right. Good morning, Neil.
- 0:49Speaker 3: There you are stepping up on your espresso. Oh yeah, yeah,
- 0:53Speaker 3: there you are, bright red, yes, bright red. Will morning
- 0:58Speaker 3: to you. Good morning Phil, and there is Amy.
- 1:03Speaker 1: High and.
- 1:05Speaker 3: Good morning. Okay. You know, and I've been telling you
- 1:09Speaker 3: that my daughter Barbara's a new Scottish boyfriend is here
- 1:15Speaker 3: in town. Matter of fact, they came on Friday and
- 1:19Speaker 3: so I am actually joining them doing the touristy stuff
- 1:23Speaker 3: which I have not done. For example, on Friday we
- 1:26Speaker 3: did Warner Brothers. I went to the Warner Brothers tour,
- 1:29Speaker 3: which was kind of neat. That was fun. Yeah, and
- 1:32Speaker 3: keep in mind. I used to be a tour guide
- 1:33Speaker 3: at Universal Studios. Back in the day I was I did.
- 1:37Speaker 4: I think everybody was.
- 1:39Speaker 3: Yeah and that were you? No, okay, everybody but me okay.
- 1:43Speaker 3: And in those days, that was before it was a
- 1:45Speaker 3: theme park, that was just okay, no one is except
- 1:49Speaker 3: me here, okay.
- 1:49Speaker 4: There are a lot of people who I know, and
- 1:51Speaker 4: maybe it's more actors and stuff, but a lot of
- 1:54Speaker 4: people I know have been tour guys.
- 1:57Speaker 3: I love that job. It was terrific. And those were
- 2:00Speaker 3: the days when before any of this theme park stuff happened. Literally,
- 2:04Speaker 3: you'd go the tour guide would be at the front
- 2:07Speaker 3: of that van or that front of that tram. There'd
- 2:10Speaker 3: be three sections to the tram and there you're with
- 2:12Speaker 3: a microphone, go through the back lot and go through
- 2:17Speaker 3: every building. And now Universal has been around since nineteen fifteen, okay, so.
- 2:22Speaker 2: It's were you there when it opened?
- 2:24Speaker 3: Yes, I was, so we had when I tested in
- 2:29Speaker 3: to do it. First, you get hired and they love you,
- 2:31Speaker 3: and then they give you this book and it's about
- 2:34Speaker 3: four inches thick and it's a binder and they say, here,
- 2:37Speaker 3: we're going to give you a test and it is
- 2:40Speaker 3: It was as hard as bar. The bar exam that
- 2:43Speaker 3: I took had to know basically every movie. You had
- 2:48Speaker 3: to know the back lot and the sound stages of
- 2:51Speaker 3: every film. For example, Soundstage twenty eight was the only
- 2:55Speaker 3: existing silent sound stage that was left at Universal, and
- 3:00Speaker 3: that was an old ten sound stage because it was
- 3:02Speaker 3: meant for silent films, so there was no soundproofing. And
- 3:05Speaker 3: the original set the opera house for Phantom of the
- 3:08Speaker 3: Opera was in there. I'm talking about the original lawn
- 3:11Speaker 3: Cheney Senior and it was that filled that sound stage
- 3:15Speaker 3: and you'd go in there and man, history just killed you.
- 3:19Speaker 3: They unfortunately they took it down, which is a shame,
- 3:22Speaker 3: and then built a new sound stage on there, but man,
- 3:24Speaker 3: what a piece of history. Also, you would go through
- 3:28Speaker 3: the you go through the warehouses, the props warehouse and
- 3:32Speaker 3: then the automotive warehouse. Had to know what every single
- 3:34Speaker 3: car was in there, and there were probably I don't
- 3:37Speaker 3: know eighty, maybe one hundred, and you'd have to say, oh,
- 3:40Speaker 3: that one was used in this film, that was used
- 3:42Speaker 3: in another film. So they had a World War Two
- 3:45Speaker 3: German staff car which was actually one of Rommel's staff cars,
- 3:50Speaker 3: original staff cars, and how they got that. I don't know,
- 3:53Speaker 3: but I mean I had to know everything and it
- 3:55Speaker 3: was so cool. I love that job. And then it
- 3:57Speaker 3: became a theme park, and now it became I went
- 4:00Speaker 3: there a bunch of years ago and you had the
- 4:02Speaker 3: tour guide. Uh, just it was totally everything was pre recorded.
- 4:06Speaker 1: Uh.
- 4:07Speaker 3: They had I don't know what actor they would entered.
- 4:11Speaker 2: Now it's Jimmy kim No, not Jimmy Kimmel, Jimmy the
- 4:15Speaker 2: other Jimmy.
- 4:16Speaker 3: Yeah, I don't even know you does. Yeah, you talk
- 4:19Speaker 3: to a screen, uh and they answer and of course
- 4:22Speaker 3: it's all pre recorded and it's just uh. And then
- 4:25Speaker 3: it's the theme park. Not to say they don't do
- 4:27Speaker 3: well with the theme park, but man, those were the
- 4:29Speaker 3: days of it was just me and a crowd and
- 4:31Speaker 3: three hours, three hours, but.
- 4:34Speaker 2: I miss that when you would go through the prop
- 4:36Speaker 2: you'd drive through the prop area and the cars and
- 4:40Speaker 2: all in the special effects and.
- 4:42Speaker 3: Ye all of that, and we would go through whatever
- 4:44Speaker 3: sound stages that were not hot sets, which they wouldn't
- 4:48Speaker 3: let you through hot sets being that are currently being
- 4:51Speaker 3: used uh in TV shows or usually TV shows. And
- 4:56Speaker 3: it was just and then the the you had the
- 4:58Speaker 3: lake back there all the movie, and then you had
- 5:00Speaker 3: the big the big steps with the big building that's
- 5:04Speaker 3: where Spartacus did his thing, And I mean it was
- 5:07Speaker 3: just it was just great for Did you ever hear
- 5:09Speaker 3: about anything being haunted? Do you know they say like
- 5:14Speaker 3: old actors come back to Like, No, No, I really didn't.
- 5:19Speaker 2: There are there's a lot of that throughout Hollywood, like
- 5:22Speaker 2: you know, at the different Roosevelt Hotel and.
- 5:24Speaker 3: Things like that, but no, nothing at Universal that I
- 5:27Speaker 3: knew of.
- 5:28Speaker 2: You know what they do now near the end of
- 5:30Speaker 2: the month, in the next week or two, they have
- 5:34Speaker 2: fan Fest, So it's open after hours and it's much
- 5:40Speaker 2: more interactive with the with the back lot and stuff
- 5:45Speaker 2: like that. And we're going to try and go to
- 5:46Speaker 2: that because they open up areas they don't normally open.
- 5:50Speaker 3: And hit the history of that place is just a
- 5:53Speaker 3: completely insane All the early Frankenstein movies were filmed the.
- 5:59Speaker 2: Plastic months theres all of them, just Frankenstein and Dracula.
- 6:04Speaker 3: Yeah, all right, so much for that. That was so anyway,
- 6:08Speaker 3: And then and then comes the big one, Disneyland coming
- 6:13Speaker 3: up Monday. Because I am going with Amy, and I'm
- 6:17Speaker 3: actually super excited about this. I must tell you.
- 6:20Speaker 4: It's gonna be fun.
- 6:22Speaker 3: Amy and I have never had it. Amy and I
- 6:24Speaker 3: have never had a date before. This is it's going
- 6:26Speaker 3: to be our first date together.
- 6:28Speaker 4: Uh, we're not bringing your wife, but we are bringing
- 6:31Speaker 4: your family.
- 6:31Speaker 3: That is correct, We're bringing well, we're bringing yes, true,
- 6:34Speaker 3: we're bringing my daughter some of the Handle money. Yeah,
- 6:39Speaker 3: for sure. Her tattooed boyfriend. Oh, and of course they went.
- 6:44Speaker 3: They went, Yeah, he is. They went and got another
- 6:46Speaker 3: tattoo on Saturday. I go, there's no room for tattoos. Okay, yeah,
- 6:52Speaker 3: he has a neat guy.
- 6:53Speaker 2: I liked him a lot. I texted. I texted, Actually,
- 6:56Speaker 2: I texted Pamela accidentally and told her that I really
- 7:01Speaker 2: liked Murray. She goes, thanks, but he's with Beabs.
- 7:06Speaker 3: Yeah, that's true. Yeah. And Pamela is now working as
- 7:10Speaker 3: a baker. She took her degree in computer sciences and
- 7:15Speaker 3: it's just about finished with her master's degree in computer
- 7:18Speaker 3: scientists sciences, and she's working as a baker. Welcome to
- 7:22Speaker 3: the world. Now it's a new world. All right, guys,
- 7:26Speaker 3: we're doing it now. It's time for Handle on the
- 7:28Speaker 3: News with Amy and Neil and me lead story. Well,
- 7:36Speaker 3: the President's announced that the US military is blockading the
- 7:40Speaker 3: Strait of Horror Moos. But wait a minute, the Iranians
- 7:44Speaker 3: are blockading the Strait of Horror Moves. By the way,
- 7:46Speaker 3: this blockade starts in fifty minutes, so we're right on
- 7:50Speaker 3: top of it and the ships are there. And so
- 7:53Speaker 3: I'm a little confused. Is it the President saying I'm
- 7:56Speaker 3: going to out blockade you, and the Iranian's going no, no, no, no,
- 8:00Speaker 3: I'm going to outblak. We're going to out blockade you.
- 8:03Speaker 3: No no, no, no, We're going to do the blockade. No, no,
- 8:05Speaker 3: we're doing the blockade. Now, my dad Schwants is bigger
- 8:10Speaker 3: than your dad.
- 8:11Speaker 2: So so what we're doing.
- 8:13Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, that's what's happening. I have no idea. Now
- 8:16Speaker 3: he back down. I don't think he can back down
- 8:19Speaker 3: on this one man. Remember it was the it was
- 8:22Speaker 3: supposed to start when was it last week at five
- 8:25Speaker 3: o'clock unless the Straight of Horror Moves was opened up. Uh, well,
- 8:30Speaker 3: it changed his mind because the strait still stayed closed.
- 8:34Speaker 2: If I can't have her, nobody will have her.
- 8:36Speaker 3: Now, I know, it's it's astounding. I need to talk
- 8:39Speaker 3: more about that, of course, coming up, because that's big news.
- 8:41Speaker 3: Here's another big news locally.
- 8:44Speaker 4: Uh two down, one to go. LA School of District
- 8:49Speaker 4: officials announced that a tentative agreement, a two year deal
- 8:52Speaker 4: has been reached with the teachers union, and then last
- 8:55Speaker 4: night they said, hey, we got to deal with the
- 8:57Speaker 4: administrators also, so that leaves one the local ninety nine
- 9:03Speaker 4: of the Service Employees International Union, they have not struck
- 9:09Speaker 4: a deal yet and there's a strike that looms starting
- 9:12Speaker 4: tomorrow if there is no deal. Even though they had
- 9:15Speaker 4: said last week if they got deals with two of
- 9:18Speaker 4: the unions, they thought they could probably reopen the schools,
- 9:20Speaker 4: but now they're saying not reopen, but not close the schools.
- 9:24Speaker 4: They said, probably not because the teachers and administrators would
- 9:28Speaker 4: back the workers and wouldn't gospond line.
- 9:30Speaker 3: Yeah, and the honor picket lines, and that happens and
- 9:33Speaker 3: some of these A couple of unions have not had
- 9:35Speaker 3: a contract since twenty twenty four. How long has it
- 9:39Speaker 3: been the last time KFI signed a contract the union
- 9:44Speaker 3: after a signed a contract with KFI, because we're all
- 9:47Speaker 3: members of after I think you it must have been
- 9:49Speaker 3: fifteen years ago.
- 9:51Speaker 4: Well, it was until this. They did just recently do
- 9:54Speaker 4: one that went into effect on Joe.
- 9:56Speaker 3: I mean good, I didn't know that. I remember. Did
- 9:58Speaker 3: you guys vote on it? Yeah, you remembers. Does anybody
- 10:03Speaker 3: pay attention you're members of the union.
- 10:05Speaker 4: Yeah, but you're right. We did go for a really
- 10:09Speaker 4: long time with no new deal. We were just operating
- 10:12Speaker 4: on the old contract.
- 10:14Speaker 3: Right, and then the new contract the what the pay?
- 10:17Speaker 3: The increase is four.
- 10:19Speaker 4: Dollars an hour?
- 10:20Speaker 3: Huh.
- 10:20Speaker 4: Yeah, we went from three dollars an hour to four.
- 10:22Speaker 3: Dollars four dollars an hour. Yeah, yeah, no, it's it's
- 10:25Speaker 3: a crazy story. At some point I was asked to
- 10:27Speaker 3: be on the negotiating team the last time around, not
- 10:29Speaker 3: you were really Yeah, because I'm a lawyer, and the
- 10:34Speaker 3: union said we want you to be on the on
- 10:36Speaker 3: the negotiating team. And I go, you don't want me
- 10:38Speaker 3: to be on the negotiating team. Yes, we do. I said,
- 10:40Speaker 3: here's your problem, because we're simitting up the opposite ends
- 10:43Speaker 3: of the table, and every time management says something, I'm
- 10:46Speaker 3: going to turn to you guys and say, they're right,
- 10:49Speaker 3: Do you really want me to be on the negotiating team.
- 10:53Speaker 3: I mean, I come in as a business person, so
- 10:56Speaker 3: of course i'body on the side of management, although not
- 10:58Speaker 3: so much anymore. Uh, because it's it's a different world
- 11:03Speaker 3: now for sure.
- 11:05Speaker 2: REQUI, uh, where do he even begin?
- 11:10Speaker 1: Man?
- 11:11Speaker 2: Donald Trump posted an AI generated photo of himself that
- 11:16Speaker 2: has raised some eyebrows. Hopefully, Uh the sycophants won't think
- 11:21Speaker 2: this is a great thing. But uh, he was going
- 11:24Speaker 2: off on Pope Leo and slamming him right and left.
- 11:29Speaker 2: You tell me, handle, I've never seen anything like this before,
- 11:35Speaker 2: you know, throughout history. I don't think.
- 11:41Speaker 3: You know, just no one, Yeah, you don't, You don't
- 11:43Speaker 3: Uselini Hitler didn't go and nobody, nobody went after the
- 11:47Speaker 3: Pope like this. So he posted, go ahead and tell
- 11:51Speaker 3: what he posted.
- 11:51Speaker 2: He's got, so he he, you know, went off on
- 11:53Speaker 2: the Pope. I don't want a pope who thinks, uh,
- 11:56Speaker 2: it's terrible that America attacked Venezuela. Don't want a pope
- 12:00Speaker 2: who thinks it's okay for Iran to have nuclear weapons.
- 12:04Speaker 2: He went all over all this stuff, saying that the
- 12:07Speaker 2: Pope didn't even get the pope position if it wasn't
- 12:10Speaker 2: for him, right, and you know, an American, first time
- 12:15Speaker 2: an American because of him, and that he's liberal and
- 12:19Speaker 2: all of this this all has to do with a
- 12:21Speaker 2: sixty minutes segment that aired the Pope and so on
- 12:25Speaker 2: and all this. So this AI generated photo looks like
- 12:29Speaker 2: those old kind of nineteen seventies Jesus photos. You can't
- 12:34Speaker 2: help but say anything that it is Jesus esque of
- 12:37Speaker 2: him in robes and being Donald Trump, putting his.
- 12:41Speaker 3: Putting him on the forehead of someone who.
- 12:44Speaker 2: Who did military well, military and medical staff stand by
- 12:52Speaker 2: looking at him and thanks. As you know, you have
- 12:55Speaker 2: fighter jets over his left shoulder and his hands glowing.
- 13:01Speaker 2: I'm surprised he doesn't have the stigmata. But it's you know,
- 13:06Speaker 2: I've been saying this for a long time as a
- 13:08Speaker 2: Christian philosopher and theologian, that that the right has become
- 13:15Speaker 2: fixated on idolatry with the with the right and with
- 13:21Speaker 2: Trump in particular. And if this doesn't make you, yeah,
- 13:26Speaker 2: I chuckled. But if this doesn't make you go, there's
- 13:28Speaker 2: a problem with the mix of Christianity and politics, Jesus man.
- 13:34Speaker 3: Okay, I'm doing this.
- 13:35Speaker 5: It's yeah, I'm doing this at seven thirty and then
- 13:40Speaker 5: I'm going to tell you what the next step yet
- 13:42Speaker 5: is that the president is going to do Trump well.
- 13:48Speaker 1: Even better than that.
- 13:49Speaker 3: Oh, okay, even better than that. I'll share that with
- 13:52Speaker 3: you at seven thirty.
- 13:53Speaker 2: Prefer all crosses become a capital T instead of the
- 13:59Speaker 2: lower case that was made famous by those losers.
- 14:04Speaker 3: Oh hilarious, that is.
- 14:06Speaker 2: I mean, I'm how if Catholicism doesn't go after him,
- 14:12Speaker 2: and Christians, Evangelicals and all of them don't stand up
- 14:16Speaker 2: and push back on this. You are starts with a
- 14:20Speaker 2: p ends with a ussy, and you your faith is
- 14:25Speaker 2: wrapped up in your politics so hard that you are
- 14:28Speaker 2: like the Pharisees and the Sadducees of old. It is
- 14:33Speaker 2: horrific the amount of idolatry.
- 14:35Speaker 3: You can't use the word pharisees anymore. You have to
- 14:38Speaker 3: use the word Gaecees.
- 14:40Speaker 2: No, no, the Unpharisees. I'm just blown I am blown
- 14:44Speaker 2: away to what degree this kind of idolatry and justice
- 14:51Speaker 2: in We'll talk.
- 14:52Speaker 3: More about that at seven thirty, all right, Amy, And.
- 14:56Speaker 4: Then there were seven Democratic candidates for the governor of California.
- 15:01Speaker 4: Representative Eric Swallwell announced yesterday he is suspending his campaign
- 15:06Speaker 4: for governor. He says, to my family, staff, friends, and supporters,
- 15:11Speaker 4: I am deeply sorry for mistakes in judgment I've made
- 15:14Speaker 4: in my past. I will fight the serious false allegations
- 15:18Speaker 4: that have been made. But that's my fight, not a campaign's.
- 15:22Speaker 4: And those allegations are of sexual misconduct, including rape.
- 15:27Speaker 3: Yeah, basically he admits that he was stripping people left
- 15:31Speaker 3: and right. His argument was it was not it was
- 15:35Speaker 3: not forceful. It was not done at force.
- 15:38Speaker 4: Right because the staffer came forward and said that she
- 15:41Speaker 4: got really drunk, she woke up, and he was having
- 15:44Speaker 4: sex with her.
- 15:45Speaker 3: Now, if there's one who says that I can see
- 15:48Speaker 3: a disgruntled somebody, one where there is some kind of
- 15:53Speaker 3: altercation going. When there are four women who are saying
- 15:57Speaker 3: something like this, problems arise of sudden. The credibility switches over.
- 16:02Speaker 4: I believe the other four were though were they direct
- 16:05Speaker 4: contact or were they the inappropriate text and the nude
- 16:09Speaker 4: pictures being sent in that kind of thing.
- 16:10Speaker 3: Yeah, there was one which he photographed his penis and
- 16:14Speaker 3: unsolicited and sent it to her. And I once did that.
- 16:18Speaker 3: No one could tell that it was Thank goodness.
- 16:21Speaker 2: Okay, that was the first thumbnail photo ever ever used.
- 16:25Speaker 3: Okay, let me tell you well, my nickname when I
- 16:28Speaker 3: was growing up was a light switch and it wasn't
- 16:31Speaker 3: because of electricity either.
- 16:33Speaker 2: Okay, were those those nineteen twenties push button ones?
- 16:40Speaker 3: Okay, alrighty, moving on, Will is actually throwing his hands
- 16:45Speaker 3: in front of his eyes, going no, no.
- 16:48Speaker 2: He scarred for life?
- 16:49Speaker 3: Yes, all right.
- 16:50Speaker 2: The World Cup twenty twenty six still you know, has
- 16:54Speaker 2: not kicked off yet, no pun intended, but it's already
- 16:58Speaker 2: breaking records. Fortunately those records are in prices. FIFA introduced
- 17:03Speaker 2: to premium tickets up to knocking on the door of
- 17:07Speaker 2: eleven thousand dollars and you know, people are this is
- 17:13Speaker 2: not there not globe. Yeah, this is not secondary on
- 17:16Speaker 2: the secondary market. This does face value from FIFA.
- 17:21Speaker 3: Man. I mean, uh now, I think the eleven thousand
- 17:24Speaker 3: dollars is a decent ticket in a great seat at
- 17:28Speaker 3: the finals.
- 17:29Speaker 2: Yeah, but you're talking about nineteen hundred dollars, twenty three
- 17:33Speaker 2: hundred dollars.
- 17:34Speaker 3: It's crazy.
- 17:35Speaker 2: One dollars. These are out of you know, I'd pay
- 17:40Speaker 2: that to go see something like this.
- 17:42Speaker 3: And you work it so fine, and FIFA is going
- 17:44Speaker 3: to be there, it's so fi Do you know if
- 17:46Speaker 3: it's going to be where the finals are? Is FIFA
- 17:49Speaker 3: going to be anywhere near the finals. I don't know. FI, yeah,
- 17:55Speaker 3: I don't know for a carry we're going to hold
- 17:57Speaker 3: the finals.
- 17:58Speaker 4: Well, workers are in the short end of the stick
- 18:01Speaker 4: because the post Office is coming up short the US
- 18:04Speaker 4: Postal Services. It has temporarily suspended payments to workers' retirement
- 18:09Speaker 4: plans to conserve cash and preserve liquidity due to an
- 18:14Speaker 4: ongoing severe financial crisis. The suspension of those payments is
- 18:18Speaker 4: expected to free up about two point five billion dollars
- 18:22Speaker 4: for the current fiscal year.
- 18:24Speaker 3: But the Postal Service is in such debt, I mean,
- 18:28Speaker 3: their deficit runs billions of dollars every year. It's unfortunately.
- 18:35Speaker 3: Mail is on its way out completely. That's the problem.
- 18:38Speaker 3: Even if they start raising the rates for first class
- 18:40Speaker 3: mail and third class mail and almost double it, it
- 18:43Speaker 3: won't help because fewer fewer people actually using the mail.
- 18:48Speaker 3: And that's I don't send letders anymore. I mean I
- 18:52Speaker 3: used to send checks and all things in the mail.
- 18:54Speaker 3: I don't use the mail anymore.
- 18:56Speaker 2: People still see you as a third class mail.
- 18:59Speaker 3: That's true. No, I guess that well said, by the way,
- 19:03Speaker 3: I wish I had said that about you. That's not
- 19:05Speaker 3: bad thinking. I'm sure I was thinking it and you
- 19:08Speaker 3: beat me to it. So anyway, this is and now
- 19:10Speaker 3: the question is are they going to retroactively put the
- 19:14Speaker 3: money into the retirement system And I don't know the
- 19:18Speaker 3: answer to that.
- 19:19Speaker 2: Still a great deal.
- 19:21Speaker 3: Oh so the United States is still has one of
- 19:24Speaker 3: the cheapest mailing prices in the world, but it almost
- 19:27Speaker 3: doesn't matter because the more expensive it is, the more
- 19:31Speaker 3: people are going to rely on email, and they're already
- 19:34Speaker 3: doing it. Oh, here's a political story, Neil, Yeah, so.
- 19:37Speaker 2: This is interesting. The is it Tisa party was projected
- 19:43Speaker 2: to win Hungary's parliament election, and it seems that that's
- 19:46Speaker 2: how it went as Victor Orbon concedes defeat and so
- 19:54Speaker 2: this shifts things a bit there in Hungary.
- 19:57Speaker 3: Oh, it shifts it a lot because Orbon was an
- 20:01Speaker 3: ally of President Trump, big time. President Trump was a
- 20:04Speaker 3: big fan of Rman JD. Vance just went over there
- 20:08Speaker 3: to try to swing the vote towards Urban, who has
- 20:11Speaker 3: held that post for sixteen years and moved Hungary far right.
- 20:16Speaker 3: And this is the part that kind of surprised me.
- 20:19Speaker 3: I thought Urban would say that the election was rigged
- 20:24Speaker 3: and it was unfair and therefore they either have to
- 20:28Speaker 3: redo it or it was stolen. I thought he would
- 20:32Speaker 3: do that, and he didn't. He came out straight out conceited.
- 20:35Speaker 2: Yeah, he said it was clear and painful, that the
- 20:38Speaker 2: results were clear and painful.
- 20:43Speaker 4: This is painful. Narkon is no good, no more for
- 20:49Speaker 4: a new drug. So you may have heard of trank.
- 20:52Speaker 4: That's the animal tranquilizer that is mixed with fentanela. Well,
- 20:56Speaker 4: now there's a new CDC warning about a stronger version
- 21:00Speaker 4: of the drug called rhino TRNK. It's emerging as a
- 21:05Speaker 4: highly risky street drug. It's also a mix of fentanyl
- 21:09Speaker 4: with an animal tranquilizer, but stronger than the original. It
- 21:14Speaker 4: can increase the rate of orbit, It can make your
- 21:18Speaker 4: mouth not work, it can increase the rate of overdose.
- 21:21Speaker 4: It can increase the rate of low blood pressure and
- 21:23Speaker 4: other cardiovascular complications, and does not respond to the opioid
- 21:29Speaker 4: reversal drug narc.
- 21:36Speaker 3: Basically, the bottom line it's there are the people that
- 21:39Speaker 3: use it are addicts and name only. Oh okay, there
- 21:46Speaker 3: you go. That almost worked. That almost worked.
- 21:51Speaker 2: We got it all right, understanding you.
- 21:55Speaker 3: Okay, here's an anger management story, Neil.
- 21:58Speaker 2: Just say the least man wielding a machette, stabbed three
- 22:03Speaker 2: people Saturday at Grand Central Terminal, beautiful terminal by the way.
- 22:07Speaker 2: This is that big commuter hub there. Also, tourists love
- 22:11Speaker 2: going over there in New York City. So the suspect
- 22:15Speaker 2: was going after older folks. I guess stabbed a sixty
- 22:18Speaker 2: five year old man, a seventy year old man, an
- 22:20Speaker 2: eighty four year old man, and then was coming at
- 22:26Speaker 2: the cops did not listen and they unlived him right there.
- 22:30Speaker 3: Right there, and they told him to drop the weapon
- 22:34Speaker 3: and said no.
- 22:36Speaker 2: When part of compliance dropped that clip, you can't do that.
- 22:39Speaker 3: You know, you get you get air conditioned.
- 22:42Speaker 2: Unfortunately, so the guy and ended up bringing literally a
- 22:46Speaker 2: knife to a gunfight and lost.
- 22:49Speaker 4: Okay, looks like Brittany is getting some help. TMZ reported
- 22:53Speaker 4: that she checked in to rehab a few days ago
- 22:57Speaker 4: somewhere in the US. They're not saying where. She has
- 22:59Speaker 4: had issues with drugs in particular adderall and alcohol for years.
- 23:04Speaker 4: TMZ said that part of the reason she went to
- 23:06Speaker 4: rehab now is because of her pending DUI case, knowing
- 23:10Speaker 4: that strategically that would be that would look good in
- 23:13Speaker 4: the eyes of the judge because she's taking the DUI seriously.
- 23:17Speaker 2: H free Brittany, how'd that work out for her? So
- 23:24Speaker 2: here is an interesting You know how much I hate
- 23:26Speaker 2: the fact that local government doesn't do the basics. Well
- 23:30Speaker 2: WEIMO and ways WEIMO. Of course, are those autonomous vehicles
- 23:37Speaker 2: that you see popping up more and more in ways
- 23:40Speaker 2: of course was Amy's creation and gift to the traffic world.
- 23:45Speaker 4: Yeah, my creation.
- 23:46Speaker 2: Yeah. Well listen without you.
- 23:48Speaker 4: You couldn't get anywhere.
- 23:50Speaker 2: They're they're teaming up to report, to record and report
- 23:54Speaker 2: potholes to transportation departments in Los Angeles in helping to
- 24:00Speaker 2: the road. So they announced their partnership just this past Thursday.
- 24:04Speaker 2: They got this joint pilot to help cities patch their potholes.
- 24:09Speaker 2: So now more and more it's going to start registering
- 24:12Speaker 2: these massive and horrible potholes, uh and sending them to
- 24:18Speaker 2: the departments of Transportation, the roads and all that stuff.
- 24:22Speaker 3: And Villanueva, I think that's his name. I always get confused,
- 24:26Speaker 3: the former mayor of Los Angeles Via Ragosa Via Regosa, yeah,
- 24:32Speaker 3: or the sheriff. Yeah. I wanted the two. Via Regosa
- 24:36Speaker 3: is look alike, yes, and John N. Coppelt is interviewing
- 24:40Speaker 3: him in a pothole.
- 24:43Speaker 2: Yeah, that would be great, that'll be great.
- 24:50Speaker 3: Remember that story, Yeah you got elected as the he's
- 24:53Speaker 3: going to fix He's a million pothole mayor yeah, we'll
- 24:57Speaker 3: clean your toilets.
- 25:00Speaker 4: Movies making a comeback, apparently a string of big ones
- 25:04Speaker 4: like Project Hail Mary, and now the most recent is
- 25:07Speaker 4: Super Mario Galaxy movie that's still raking in a ton
- 25:10Speaker 4: of money. They've kind of reignited theater revenues and have
- 25:15Speaker 4: pushed year to date domestic box office revenue up about
- 25:18Speaker 4: twenty three percent higher than last year. And it's not
- 25:22Speaker 4: only because tickets are costing more, because more people are going.
- 25:25Speaker 4: So they're saying that people going to movie theaters is
- 25:28Speaker 4: up about sixteen percent from the same time last year.
- 25:31Speaker 3: Now, I have a question. It used to be that
- 25:35Speaker 3: the movies I would go to would not be Super
- 25:38Speaker 3: Mario Galaxy movies. That seems to be the way it
- 25:43Speaker 3: goes these days, and I guess enough people have switched over. Also,
- 25:47Speaker 3: let me ask you this, Amy, do you believe that
- 25:51Speaker 3: a lot of it has to do with the fact
- 25:53Speaker 3: that maybe it goes on cave. These go on cable
- 25:56Speaker 3: later than earlier. Remember, I mean within two weeks you'd
- 26:01Speaker 3: see a movie go on cable.
- 26:02Speaker 4: Yeah, I think that they've said they're going to try
- 26:04Speaker 4: to hold them in theaters a little bit longer, makes sense.
- 26:09Speaker 4: But like there's movies like Wicked and Wicked Too, they
- 26:12Speaker 4: didn't come out for months on.
- 26:15Speaker 3: Them and then the free Do you know how I
- 26:17Speaker 3: paid thirty dollars to see Wicked third because someone told
- 26:23Speaker 3: me I had to see it and guess what it
- 26:26Speaker 3: was horrible thirty dollars and it was a piece of crap.
- 26:31Speaker 3: And then I saw Open Barbie or Oppenheimer and Barbie
- 26:36Speaker 3: the same day. Oppenheimer brilliant, I mean brilliant, and then
- 26:40Speaker 3: Barbie same day. Oh god, please, what did you do
- 26:44Speaker 3: to me? I'd rather have a root canal than having
- 26:48Speaker 3: seen that.
- 26:49Speaker 4: I don't think maybe you're their target audience.
- 26:51Speaker 3: No, but I you know, was gonn Did you like
- 26:53Speaker 3: Wicked the stage show? I did? I love the stage show.
- 26:56Speaker 3: I thought the movie was horrible. I didn't. I just
- 26:59Speaker 3: didn't like it racist. Yeah?
- 27:03Speaker 2: Why because Alfre green whack now not upset him?
- 27:10Speaker 3: No, it's the green.
- 27:13Speaker 2: She's underneath, but underneath the makeup. He knows that. Are
- 27:17Speaker 2: you kidding? Handled it?
- 27:19Speaker 3: No? But I'll tell you what I love is her
- 27:21Speaker 3: fingernails and the fact that she's bald, and the fact
- 27:25Speaker 3: that she is she is completely well pierced virtually every
- 27:30Speaker 3: part of her body. I mean, it's kind of neat,
- 27:32Speaker 3: I really do.
- 27:34Speaker 2: About the fact that she's talented.
- 27:37Speaker 3: But yeah, and one of the best singers I've ever heard.
- 27:38Speaker 3: Now you think that has a lot to do with it,
- 27:40Speaker 3: I would say, so, Yeah, all right, we're done, guys,
- 27:45Speaker 3: Just last one, Neil real quickly.
- 27:48Speaker 2: Shannook salmon had population problems and a couple three years
- 27:53Speaker 2: ago or whatever, they put a band on commercial fishing
- 27:56Speaker 2: and for three years, longest shut down in state history.
- 28:00Speaker 2: And it is back. Commercial fishing cruise will be permitted
- 28:04Speaker 2: to catch salmon along the California coast again this year.
- 28:08Speaker 3: Yeah. The reason and I wanted to go this one
- 28:11Speaker 3: because look at the numbers. Fishermen during several open periods
- 28:17Speaker 3: will be able to catch a maximum of one hundred
- 28:20Speaker 3: and sixty fish per vessel. How's that for commercial fishing?
- 28:29Speaker 2: Well, it's better than nothing, not much.
- 28:32Speaker 3: Not much, especially now with a cost of fuel. You're
- 28:34Speaker 3: gonna go out there and fish, and okay, we're done
- 28:37Speaker 3: with that. Coming up, well, the naval blockade is starting
- 28:41Speaker 3: in two minutes, and I want to talk about what's happening,
- 28:44Speaker 3: a little fight between President Trump and the Pope as
- 28:48Speaker 3: well as well a couple of things I want to
- 28:52Speaker 3: share with you and big, big doings on this one.
- 28:56Speaker 3: This is KFI AM sixty.
- 28:59Speaker 1: You've been with saying to the Bill Handle Show. Catch
- 29:01Speaker 1: my show Monday through Friday, six am to nine am,
- 29:04Speaker 1: and anytime on demand on the iHeartRadio app.
