- 0:46Speaker 4: Hello! How are you, buddy?
- 0:48Speaker 5: Oh, I'm so good, pal.
- 0:49Speaker 4: How are you? I am good. It's been a busy day.
- 0:54Speaker 5: Busy day, yeah. What have you been doing?
- 0:56Speaker 4: Well, I had to get up and bring the kids
- 0:59Speaker 4: over to my folks, which was so nice.
- 1:01Speaker 5: Fun. Lovely.
- 1:03Speaker 4: But Adam Rupp and I filmed a music video for
- 1:07Speaker 4: Home Free.
- 1:07Speaker 5: That's right! We do that.
- 1:10Speaker 4: I still have some of my makeup on.
- 1:12Speaker 5: Oh, yeah, you do look extra glossy today. I like it.
- 1:16Speaker 4: That's why.
- 1:17Speaker 5: Meow.
- 1:19Speaker 4: And that went really well, which was fun. It doesn't
- 1:22Speaker 4: always go well. So it's nice when it happens. We
- 1:27Speaker 4: did a song that we've been performing for a while. Oh,
- 1:32Speaker 4: that's kind of fun. And we almost never do that.
- 1:33Speaker 5: Yeah, I was going to say, that's usually not the case.
- 1:36Speaker 5: So you knew it well.
- 1:38Speaker 4: I knew it so well, dude.
- 1:40Speaker 5: That must have felt so luxurious.
- 1:42Speaker 4: I took two takes of a medium and one take
- 1:45Speaker 4: of a close-up, and that was it.
- 1:47Speaker 5: That's beautiful.
- 1:49Speaker 4: I was like... This is.
- 1:51Speaker 5: How it should always be.
- 1:52Speaker 4: Didn't have to think about the words.
- 1:54Speaker 5: I loved it. Yeah, that's awesome. That's really cool.
- 1:56Speaker 4: Because like usually an hour of it is just us going, okay,
- 1:59Speaker 4: let's listen to it like 16 times. Let's figure it out.
- 2:02Speaker 5: What's in this? I can do 30 seconds if you
- 2:04Speaker 5: give me.
- 2:05Speaker 4: Boom, boom, boom, boom, boom.
- 2:08Speaker 5: That's awesome. Where'd you guys go? Were you just around
- 2:09Speaker 5: town somewhere?
- 2:10Speaker 4: We were. It's going to be one of those where
- 2:12Speaker 4: it'll be one of those kind of box videos.
- 2:14Speaker 5: Oh, yeah.
- 2:15Speaker 4: Perfect.
- 2:15Speaker 5: Lovely.
- 2:16Speaker 4: And so we filmed it over at his house. I
- 2:18Speaker 4: got to see he's got this suite set up on
- 2:20Speaker 4: his patio. I don't know if you've been there in
- 2:22Speaker 4: a while.
- 2:23Speaker 5: No, it's been a minute now. Dude.
- 2:25Speaker 4: Like, if we're ever home when the Vikings are on,
- 2:28Speaker 4: we got to go watch it on his patio.
- 2:30Speaker 5: Okay.
- 2:31Speaker 4: He's got a big old screen out there. He's got
- 2:33Speaker 4: surround sound. He's got a hot tub. He's got... That's amazing.
- 2:39Speaker 4: He's got.
- 2:39Speaker 5: Is this in the chair, like down where the hot
- 2:41Speaker 5: tub is then? Yeah, where the hot tub is.
- 2:43Speaker 4: Yeah, that whole area.
- 2:44Speaker 5: No, last time I was there, there was nothing... Other
- 2:47Speaker 5: than the hot tub, I mean, you know, which is great. Cool.
- 2:49Speaker 4: He showed it to me. He started like Lord of
- 2:51Speaker 4: the Rings, like, you just got to hear this. And
- 2:53Speaker 4: just the surround sound with it, I was just like, dude.
- 2:57Speaker 5: Yeah, that's cool.
- 2:58Speaker 4: And it was gorgeous out today. I was like, I
- 3:00Speaker 4: could stay here.
- 3:01Speaker 5: All day long.
- 3:02Speaker 4: Let's just hang out.
- 3:03Speaker 5: That's awesome.
- 3:04Speaker 4: So he's got a sweet setup.
- 3:05Speaker 5: That's cool. Yeah, let's do that.
- 3:05Speaker 4: We should bug him for a Vikings game. That would
- 3:08Speaker 4: be fun.
- 3:08Speaker 5: He'd be down.
- 3:09Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 3:10Speaker 5: He likes hosting. God love him.
- 3:13Speaker 4: God love him.
- 3:13Speaker 5: God love him.
- 3:14Speaker 4: How have you been?
- 3:16Speaker 5: Uh good it's been a very short time since we
- 3:19Speaker 5: last spoke we just spoke last night you know sleep
- 3:23Speaker 5: and and uh work at that back we're here boom
- 3:27Speaker 5: we're back but good no complaints that's for sure i
- 3:32Speaker 5: made some beans for lunch there we're good Uh-oh.
- 3:35Speaker 4: I'm glad I'm over here and we're doing via Zoom.
- 3:38Speaker 5: I don't really get the old flat trim the beans
- 3:41Speaker 5: very much.
- 3:42Speaker 4: I don't believe you.
- 3:45Speaker 5: I have the flat regularly. I just don't blame the
- 3:48Speaker 5: beans is what I'm saying.
- 3:49Speaker 4: Got you, got you. I feel like we don't need
- 3:51Speaker 4: to defame them.
- 3:51Speaker 5: That's what I'm saying.
- 3:54Speaker 4: I love that.
- 3:54Speaker 5: They're nice gentlemen. They do their job. They're a magical fruit.
- 3:59Speaker 3: They are.
- 4:01Speaker 5: Yeah. I don't know. I don't have anything else really,
- 4:03Speaker 5: I guess.
- 4:04Speaker 4: That's cool, man. Yeah.
- 4:06Speaker 5: Have you been watching any movies?
- 4:08Speaker 4: Boy, have I. Lots of travel days, dude. I've seen
- 4:13Speaker 4: so many movies.
- 4:14Speaker 5: I love it.
- 4:15Speaker 4: I was on another Delta flight and I watched a
- 4:18Speaker 4: rom-com that I hadn't seen yet.
- 4:20Speaker 5: Tell me everything.
- 4:21Speaker 4: It's the newest from Kevin James called Solo Mio.
- 4:26Speaker 5: Oh, I've seen this a couple of times like while scrolling.
- 4:29Speaker 4: I haven't watched it.
- 4:30Speaker 5: I'm sorry. I just said that weird.
- 4:32Speaker 4: You're good.
- 4:33Speaker 5: Tell me. Was it good?
- 4:35Speaker 4: It's pretty good. I think you'll like it. Okay. So
- 4:38Speaker 4: it's about he's getting married in Italy and his fiance
- 4:41Speaker 4: leaves him at the altar. These are all things you
- 4:43Speaker 4: see in the trailer.
- 4:44Speaker 5: Totally.
- 4:44Speaker 4: I'm not spoiling too much.
- 4:46Speaker 5: And it's called Solo Mio.
- 4:48Speaker 4: Solo Mio.
- 4:49Speaker 5: Yeah, I mean, that's a pretty good guess. Love it.
- 4:51Speaker 4: He spent a bunch of money on this wedding and
- 4:53Speaker 4: his honeymoon. So he's kind of forced to do his
- 4:56Speaker 4: honeymoon solo and hangs out with the other couples that
- 4:59Speaker 4: are like a part of the honeymoon package that they're doing.
- 5:02Speaker 4: So they're doing all these fun. touristy things he becomes
- 5:05Speaker 4: friends it's it's it's fun kind of a love letter
- 5:08Speaker 4: to italy too and that's gotta be one of my
- 5:10Speaker 4: favorite countries to visit just every place that i've seen
- 5:15Speaker 4: there i've loved um but yeah man i i thought
- 5:19Speaker 4: it was pretty good kevin james is just so charming
- 5:22Speaker 4: um i love him uh And this was the movie.
- 5:26Speaker 4: He did something really cool with the marketing where he
- 5:29Speaker 4: added his own social media account as the character he
- 5:33Speaker 4: was playing.
- 5:34Speaker 5: Oh.
- 5:34Speaker 4: And so he played an art teacher and he would
- 5:37Speaker 4: make all these like paintings and stuff, but he would
- 5:39Speaker 4: narrate over it, like watching him make the piece. And
- 5:45Speaker 4: it was so cool, dude. That's neat. He went by
- 5:48Speaker 4: the name Matt Taylor. That's his... That's his character's name
- 5:52Speaker 4: in this movie. But it was so cool. And like
- 5:55Speaker 4: all the things that he was saying were like really beautiful,
- 5:58Speaker 4: kind of inspiring.
- 5:59Speaker 5: That's cool.
- 6:01Speaker 4: It's worth going and checking out.
- 6:02Speaker 5: Kind of like a Bob Ross situation, maybe a little bit.
- 6:05Speaker 4: Yeah, but like more like, hey, you know, live for today. Oh,
- 6:09Speaker 4: that's fun.
- 6:10Speaker 5: Love that.
- 6:11Speaker 4: Yeah. Cool. And his name is Matt Taylor. I don't
- 6:15Speaker 4: know if it's if you look up Matt Taylor on
- 6:17Speaker 4: like Instagram or TikTok or whatever, if you'd find it, but.
- 6:20Speaker 4: He was doing it for a while, and it made
- 6:22Speaker 4: me want to see it, and I never did until now.
- 6:25Speaker 4: It's definitely worth checking out. You could do a lot
- 6:28Speaker 4: worse than watching this rom-com. It's not life-changing. It's been
- 6:31Speaker 4: done before. But he's just so great. And there's a
- 6:37Speaker 4: woman in it who I was not familiar with. She's Italian,
- 6:43Speaker 4: and she is just lovely. Her name is Nicole Grimado.
- 6:49Speaker 5: Grimado?
- 6:50Speaker 4: Um but she was lovely too so it's worth checking
- 6:53Speaker 4: out i think you'll like it a lot i'm.
- 6:55Speaker 5: I'm in that sounds lovely.
- 6:57Speaker 4: Yeah maybe i should go to italy this year oh
- 7:01Speaker 4: my god i love italy so much i was so
- 7:03Speaker 4: bummed that we're not hitting milan yeah on this home
- 7:08Speaker 4: free tour because we were supposed to go there back
- 7:10Speaker 4: in 2020 and just haven't done it yeah um and
- 7:13Speaker 4: that's one of the places i haven't been so same.
- 7:16Speaker 5: You know i could do like a cheeky florence i
- 7:19Speaker 5: haven't done.
- 7:19Speaker 4: Florence Florence is wonderful.
- 7:22Speaker 5: That's what I hear. It's wonderful. So many places there,
- 7:25Speaker 5: but not there. Firenze. Oh, yeah. Firenze.
- 7:29Speaker 4: Yeah. What have you watched?
- 7:33Speaker 5: At the Oregon Getaway. Maybe it was the night before
- 7:38Speaker 5: you got there. I don't remember what happened. Kindergarten Cop.
- 7:42Speaker 4: It was the night I got there.
- 7:43Speaker 5: It was the night you got there. Oh, yeah.
- 7:45Speaker 4: You were just.
- 7:45Speaker 5: Like, I am tired.
- 7:48Speaker 4: Up until he actually goes to the kindergarten class. I
- 7:51Speaker 4: watched all the opening up.
- 7:52Speaker 5: Oh, that's right. We swapped because I ran somebody to
- 7:56Speaker 5: a hotel or something and then came back and watched
- 7:58Speaker 5: the rest with Chatham. but yeah yeah yeah uh so
- 8:02Speaker 5: i didn't in full seriousness did not see the entire
- 8:05Speaker 5: thing but i have so many times right but it
- 8:08Speaker 5: was still uh but that was such a fun movie
- 8:10Speaker 5: to watch uh i love the watching a movie outside
- 8:15Speaker 5: uh with pals and then yeah dude especially because chad
- 8:18Speaker 5: and i went like way far in the back and
- 8:21Speaker 5: then we were just like you know chopping it up
- 8:23Speaker 5: the whole time just being silly and and being goofy
- 8:27Speaker 5: it was super super fun uh under the stars and
- 8:30Speaker 5: everything it was great only like romantic 12 people stayed
- 8:34Speaker 5: up or something so yeah we're a small but mighty
- 8:36Speaker 5: crew um yeah and chatham said something that i won't
- 8:40Speaker 5: repeat here that made me laugh so loud people turn
- 8:42Speaker 5: around uh to see what was going on amazing it
- 8:47Speaker 5: wasn't anything tawdry he just he has that dark sense
- 8:50Speaker 5: of humor and it really it's so dark just got
- 8:52Speaker 5: me like i did a oh my goodness he really
- 8:59Speaker 5: just he nailed me with it it was great uh
- 9:02Speaker 5: so yeah kindergarten cop uh still rules.
- 9:05Speaker 4: I don't know i don't know what else to tell
- 9:06Speaker 4: you and we did an episode on it go check
- 9:08Speaker 4: it out if you want to hear our thoughts.
- 9:10Speaker 5: Episode 223 i'm just.
- 9:12Speaker 4: Kidding i don't know i was gonna be impressed.
- 9:15Speaker 5: Imagine if i did ah 223 yes we gotta get
- 9:18Speaker 5: evan back on too that's the only time we ever
- 9:20Speaker 5: had yes we do oh god so it has to
- 9:23Speaker 5: be early because that was a long.
- 9:24Speaker 4: Time it was a long time ago i mean it
- 9:26Speaker 4: was was that a.
- 9:27Speaker 5: Pandemic one maybe maybe a little later than that but
- 9:30Speaker 5: yeah we do need to get him back on he's
- 9:33Speaker 5: the best it'd be fun he's got all the kids
- 9:35Speaker 5: though you know it's tough yeah i know you know
- 9:39Speaker 5: i know I just hear things. Have you been streaming anything, sir?
- 9:43Speaker 5: I have.
- 9:44Speaker 4: I figured this would be appropriate for this episode.
- 9:47Speaker 5: Absolutely.
- 9:48Speaker 4: But I watched the entire 10-episode series of The Hawk
- 9:52Speaker 4: featuring Will Ferrell.
- 9:54Speaker 5: Oh, very appropriate.
- 9:56Speaker 4: I thought so.
- 9:57Speaker 5: Apropos, even. Oui, oui.
- 10:00Speaker 4: Um it's about a a golfer who is like one
- 10:03Speaker 4: of the best golfers in the world who let his
- 10:06Speaker 4: ego get too big and lost his love of the
- 10:08Speaker 4: game but he wants to come back and become great
- 10:10Speaker 4: again that's kind of the the gist got it um
- 10:13Speaker 4: his son is also a golfer played by jimmy tetro
- 10:17Speaker 4: You'll recognize him. He's got kind of a low voice.
- 10:19Speaker 4: He's been in a bunch of things. T-A-T-R-O. I'm guessing.
- 10:23Speaker 5: Oh, yeah. He was from that Pen15 show is what
- 10:27Speaker 5: I remember him. But he's been in so many things.
- 10:31Speaker 4: He's married to Zoe Deutsch now.
- 10:33Speaker 5: Oh, I didn't know that. Yep.
- 10:36Speaker 4: How fun. But yeah, he's his son. They don't have
- 10:39Speaker 4: a great relationship. His ex-wife is played by Molly Shannon,
- 10:44Speaker 4: who's really funny.
- 10:45Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 10:46Speaker 4: Luke Wilson is kind of the nemesis. He's really great.
- 10:49Speaker 4: That's awesome. And then the comic Fortune Feimster. Oh, yeah.
- 10:55Speaker 4: Kelsey loves her so much.
- 10:57Speaker 5: Fortune's pretty great, to be fair.
- 10:58Speaker 4: We've seen a couple of her standups and she is
- 11:02Speaker 4: so funny.
- 11:03Speaker 5: They're good, huh? I got to check them out.
- 11:04Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 11:05Speaker 5: Because I haven't seen the full standup. I've seen clips
- 11:08Speaker 5: all over the place of her stuff.
- 11:09Speaker 4: Yeah, it's good. But really great in this movie. Cool.
- 11:14Speaker 4: I had not Yeah, seen Fortune act before, so that
- 11:18Speaker 4: was kind of fun.
- 11:19Speaker 5: Oh, dude, David Hornsby is in this. Yeah. That's funny.
- 11:24Speaker 5: I've never seen him in anything but Always Sunny.
- 11:26Speaker 4: It's Always Sunny, yeah. Well, no, he did the, oh,
- 11:31Speaker 4: that follow-up with Rob McElhenney, Mythic Quest. Oh, he was
- 11:36Speaker 4: in that, too.
- 11:36Speaker 5: Yeah, he was. You're right. Yeah. He's so unrecognizable because
- 11:40Speaker 5: he looks so crazy.
- 11:42Speaker 4: He's funny in this. He plays Molly Shannon's, like, boyfriend.
- 11:47Speaker 5: Oh, fun. Okay.
- 11:48Speaker 4: Kind of guy. And it's a funny role. But, dude,
- 11:52Speaker 4: it's getting rocked on Rotten Tomatoes. Oh, in a good way? No,
- 11:57Speaker 4: in a bad way. But, I mean, honestly, if you
- 12:00Speaker 4: like Will Ferrell, you're going to enjoy this show. It
- 12:03Speaker 4: is him. being ridiculous and so funny. Um, they're like
- 12:09Speaker 4: 28 minute to 35 minute episodes. It's, it's a very
- 12:13Speaker 4: good time. I enjoyed it. And there were a few
- 12:15Speaker 4: times where I laughed out loud.
- 12:17Speaker 5: That's pretty close to what I've heard other people say,
- 12:18Speaker 5: where they were just like, I mean, if it were
- 12:20Speaker 5: a movie and you know, 90 minutes, it probably would
- 12:24Speaker 5: have been great. And they're like, they stretched it a
- 12:26Speaker 5: little bit more.
- 12:27Speaker 4: They stretch it. Just, I was fine with it. I
- 12:30Speaker 4: enjoyed the characters and, um, Yeah, he just, he does
- 12:35Speaker 4: it for me.
- 12:35Speaker 5: It's like one big long sketch, right? Which is great.
- 12:37Speaker 4: Yeah, dude.
- 12:38Speaker 5: Yeah, yeah.
- 12:38Speaker 4: And I love it. Like he, the makeup people probably
- 12:42Speaker 4: had a good time because he, he's like sunburned from
- 12:46Speaker 4: like here down always, you know. He's always got the
- 12:49Speaker 4: visor on or whatever. Yeah, he's always wearing a visor.
- 12:51Speaker 4: So just like his face is sunburned.
- 12:53Speaker 5: Oh, that's great.
- 12:54Speaker 4: Like he just, it's just fun, dude.
- 12:55Speaker 5: Yeah, that's funny.
- 12:55Speaker 4: That's a good time.
- 12:56Speaker 5: That's funny. I like that a lot.
- 12:58Speaker 4: Nice. Check that out. Have you been streaming anything fun?
- 13:02Speaker 5: Yeah, but like we said, it's only been, I don't know,
- 13:05Speaker 5: 16 hours or whatever. So I'd watched all the Spider-Mans
- 13:09Speaker 5: and that kind of took up my watching time over
- 13:12Speaker 5: the last few times. That's a lot. Yeah, Homecoming, Far
- 13:17Speaker 5: From Home, Brand New Day. And then, like I said,
- 13:19Speaker 5: I saw that other one like three times in the theater.
- 13:23Speaker 5: Too much, arguably.
- 13:24Speaker 4: A lot of Spider-Man.
- 13:25Speaker 5: Arguably too much. Yeah, so... They're all great. I love them.
- 13:29Speaker 5: I was just going to say I'll rank them, but
- 13:33Speaker 5: I don't want to do that.
- 13:34Speaker 4: Don't do that. I already know you're number one, but
- 13:38Speaker 4: people have to listen to Brand New Day.
- 13:39Speaker 5: That's right. I assume if they're listening to this, they
- 13:42Speaker 5: already listened to that. No, that's probably not fair. That's
- 13:45Speaker 5: a new release. Maybe not. Yeah. Maybe not. But yeah,
- 13:49Speaker 5: I really, really liked them a lot again. So, yeah.
- 13:53Speaker 5: That's kind of all I had for that.
- 13:54Speaker 4: But should we do a few plug-arounds? I think we should.
- 13:57Speaker 5: All right. You guys can visit us, as always, on

- 14:31Speaker 4: Johan Brostad, Deb Olk, Noel Flores, and Lorraine Laut.
- 14:38Speaker 5: I didn't like how sexy that was.
- 14:40Speaker 4: Come on!
- 14:42Speaker 5: No, I liked it. I didn't like how it made
- 14:45Speaker 5: me feel.
- 14:45Speaker 4: I see what you mean.
- 14:46Speaker 5: Right. In front of a camera. Yes. Without being able
- 14:49Speaker 5: to take care of some business. You know, I mean.
- 14:50Speaker 3: I understand.
- 14:52Speaker 5: No, it's gross.
- 14:53Speaker 3: Why?
- 14:53Speaker 5: Why am I like this? I don't know.
- 14:55Speaker 4: It's okay. But we love them. We do. And we
- 14:58Speaker 4: love our other patrons so much that we give them
- 15:00Speaker 4: even more perks.
- 15:02Speaker 5: True.
- 15:02Speaker 4: And one of those is getting an extended... version of
- 15:06Speaker 4: every single episode that we put out. We'll do a
- 15:08Speaker 4: top five draft that pertains to the movie we're talking about.
- 15:12Speaker 4: And for this one, we're going to do our top
- 15:14Speaker 4: five Kevin Costner films.
- 15:15Speaker 5: Woo! You've got way more than I do.
- 15:18Speaker 4: I do have a lot. I got some older ones
- 15:20Speaker 4: in there.
- 15:21Speaker 5: How many did you say you had? I had 28. Damn, dude.
- 15:26Speaker 5: You watched so many more movies than me when we
- 15:28Speaker 5: were younger or something.
- 15:29Speaker 4: I did. I feel like. I really did.
- 15:31Speaker 5: Or it's just because I rewatch everything 900 times. It
- 15:34Speaker 5: could be that, too. That.
- 15:35Speaker 4: There's also that.
- 15:36Speaker 5: It could be that, too.
- 15:36Speaker 4: No, I rewatched a lot when I was younger, but
- 15:39Speaker 4: in the last 20 years, it's rare that I watch
- 15:44Speaker 4: something more than twice ever.
- 15:46Speaker 5: I only have 18. You have 10 more movies than me.
- 15:50Speaker 5: Although he was very prolific in my least movies.
- 15:54Speaker 4: Yep.
- 15:54Speaker 5: Prolific spots.
- 15:56Speaker 4: And a couple of them I feel like don't really
- 15:58Speaker 4: count because one of them is like frat boy number one.
- 16:00Speaker 5: Oh, really?
- 16:01Speaker 4: There's another one where he's in the movie, but he's
- 16:04Speaker 4: not in the movie.
- 16:05Speaker 5: Basically. OK.
- 16:06Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 16:07Speaker 4: But we'll talk about it.
- 16:08Speaker 5: Interesting. Can't wait. I hope I don't pick that one.
- 16:12Speaker 5: By mistake. We're here today, though, to talk about one
- 16:16Speaker 5: of his lovely movies we've both absolutely seen, I hope.
- 16:21Speaker 5: A little tin cup action here.
- 16:23Speaker 6: Yes.
- 16:24Speaker 5: This is from 1996, which makes it 30 years old. 30.
- 16:30Speaker 4: The Dirty 30.
- 16:32Speaker 5: Pretty fun. Pretty fun.
- 16:33Speaker 4: It is fun. I'm wearing a golf polo just to.
- 16:37Speaker 5: Oh, I saw that shiny shirt and I didn't know
- 16:39Speaker 5: what it was.
- 16:41Speaker 4: Yeah, it's just a... it's a shirt that I wear
- 16:43Speaker 4: when I golf.
- 16:44Speaker 5: That looks comfy.
- 16:46Speaker 4: It is kind of comfy.
- 16:47Speaker 5: I love it.
- 16:47Speaker 4: It's pretty nice.
- 16:48Speaker 5: I love it. Yeah. I should buy a putter. I like,
- 16:51Speaker 5: I like putting more than I like golfing, but if
- 16:53Speaker 5: I bought a putter, I could go putt somewhere. That'd
- 16:56Speaker 5: be fun.
- 16:56Speaker 4: You just putt.
- 16:57Speaker 5: I love putting putts in around. Rob, will you get
- 17:01Speaker 5: us started with just a rough synopsis and stop me
- 17:04Speaker 5: from talking, please?
- 17:05Speaker 4: No, stop. But I will give you a plot synopsis here.
- 17:09Speaker 4: Roy Tin Cup McAvoy is a cocky, washed up former
- 17:13Speaker 4: golf prodigy and is running a run down driving range
- 17:17Speaker 4: in West Texas. He falls for his golf student, Dr.
- 17:22Speaker 4: Molly Griswold. who is dating Roy's arrogant college rival and
- 17:26Speaker 4: PGA star, David Sims. To win her heart, Roy attempts
- 17:31Speaker 4: a reckless high-stakes run at the U.S.
- 17:34Speaker 5: Open.
- 17:36Speaker 4: Nice.
- 17:37Speaker 5: Nice.
- 17:38Speaker 6: Hot.
- 17:38Speaker 5: Yeah. Hot. Good read. Yeah. Let's go to Rotten Tomatoes
- 17:42Speaker 5: and hear what they have to say. Critics have this
- 17:43Speaker 5: coming in at 73%, which is pretty good.
- 17:47Speaker 4: No no not crazy not crazy not great it's a
- 17:51Speaker 4: rom-com uh sports.
- 17:53Speaker 5: Audience members though had it lower than i thought they
- 17:55Speaker 5: have it at 65 percent.
- 17:57Speaker 4: That is baffling to me i don't get that what
- 18:00Speaker 4: did they i don't either i.
- 18:01Speaker 5: Mean it's like a fun rom-com and it's not like
- 18:05Speaker 5: it's doing anything you know.
- 18:07Speaker 4: Yeah like i'm surprised by it as well yeah it's
- 18:10Speaker 4: very interesting I really didn't expect the critics to enjoy
- 18:13Speaker 4: it more than the audience.
- 18:14Speaker 5: Same.
- 18:15Speaker 4: That was baffling.
- 18:16Speaker 5: Same. Agreed.
- 18:17Speaker 6: Agreed.
- 18:18Speaker 5: But it's time to hear what we think. It's time
- 18:20Speaker 5: for our hot take. Hot take. Ouch.
- 18:23Speaker 4: Spicy.
- 18:25Speaker 5: That's a hot take.
- 18:27Speaker 4: That's a hot take.
- 18:28Speaker 5: Ow, I burned myself.
- 18:30Speaker 4: It's so hot in Arizona.
- 18:31Speaker 5: Yeah, we need the kiddie pool. The spa.
- 18:34Speaker 4: Yeah, the spa. The spa.
- 18:36Speaker 5: All right, cool. Love it. I'll go first. I really
- 18:42Speaker 5: love this movie quite a lot. It's a pretty fun.
- 18:45Speaker 5: I've always really enjoyed this movie and I don't, 100%
- 18:48Speaker 5: know why. I'm not going to steal your hot take
- 18:51Speaker 5: that we talked about over text.
- 18:52Speaker 4: Yeah, yeah.
- 18:53Speaker 5: That's definitely one of my hot takes. It's all I
- 18:56Speaker 5: can think about now. So should I say it now? No,
- 18:58Speaker 5: just say it. So Rob was like, longer than I remember.
- 19:02Speaker 5: And I was like, two hours and 14 minutes. What
- 19:05Speaker 5: the hell? I couldn't believe it, dude.
- 19:07Speaker 4: I was shocked.
- 19:08Speaker 5: And the whole time I was like, how is this
- 19:11Speaker 5: so long? Like, I thought it was... Tight. Like, I
- 19:14Speaker 5: thought it was just like, oh, they meet, then she's
- 19:17Speaker 5: dating up there. Now she'll take him as a client. Nope.
- 19:20Speaker 5: And then like, oh, they're split up. Now they're together.
- 19:23Speaker 7: Cool.
- 19:23Speaker 5: We're done. Like, nope. It really meanders in there.
- 19:26Speaker 4: It's interesting. They drew it out pretty long. They could
- 19:29Speaker 4: have taken off a good half hour.
- 19:32Speaker 5: It was kind of funny. I still did really enjoy it,
- 19:35Speaker 5: especially the parts I definitely remembered. But it's an editor's
- 19:39Speaker 5: cut up here in my memory, apparently, because I thought
- 19:42Speaker 5: it was much, much shorter. uh just a a fun
- 19:46Speaker 5: story about you know a guy who kind of can't
- 19:49Speaker 5: get out of his own way but also doesn't want
- 19:51Speaker 5: to a little bit too um which is fun it's
- 19:54Speaker 5: rom-com mixed with sports movie so like we're gonna love
- 19:58Speaker 5: it you know like that is yeah Two of our faves. Yep.
- 20:03Speaker 5: Just really, really fun. This isn't a hot take, but
- 20:06Speaker 5: a little story time with me, I guess.
- 20:08Speaker 4: I love this.
- 20:09Speaker 5: I pulled the sports psychologist move that Romeo does when
- 20:13Speaker 5: he's like, put all the stuff in your left pocket,
- 20:17Speaker 5: double knot your right shoe or whatever he says. I
- 20:20Speaker 5: did that. So in high school... just a quick aside
- 20:23Speaker 5: in high school, I just started going to the baseball games.
- 20:26Speaker 5: I didn't play baseball, but all my buddies were playing
- 20:29Speaker 5: and I like wanted to hang out and I didn't
- 20:31Speaker 5: have a spring sport at the time. So I just
- 20:34Speaker 5: started going to the baseball games. And then eventually I
- 20:36Speaker 5: was put on the, like the team roster for getting
- 20:39Speaker 5: out of school early. So I started going to away games.
- 20:42Speaker 5: I was not a manager. I did. I had no responsibility.
- 20:46Speaker 5: I just went to these games. I went with them.
- 20:50Speaker 5: It was fun. No one complained because my grades were good,
- 20:53Speaker 5: I guess, or something. Now, full disclosure, the coach was
- 20:56Speaker 5: my cousin, but like he did it because he thought
- 21:00Speaker 5: I was doing stuff because we've talked about it since.
- 21:02Speaker 5: And I was like, oh, no, I never did a
- 21:04Speaker 5: single thing. But I took to calling myself the sports psychologist.
- 21:08Speaker 5: One of my buddies was having a hitting, you know,
- 21:11Speaker 5: a little rough spot there. Yeah, a little slump. And
- 21:15Speaker 5: we did it. I did that thing because of this movie.
- 21:17Speaker 5: And he hit the ball the next time he was
- 21:19Speaker 5: at bat. So that's always what I'll remember from this movie.
- 21:23Speaker 4: That's amazing. For some reason, I was like, he was like, I.
- 21:26Speaker 5: Don't know what to do. I can't hit the ball anymore.
- 21:28Speaker 5: I was like, here's what you do. Take all your stuff,
- 21:30Speaker 5: put it in your left pocket, double knot that shoe.
- 21:32Speaker 5: He was like, what are you doing? I was like,
- 21:35Speaker 5: trust me, it's going to work. And then I told
- 21:36Speaker 5: him it was from a movie. So they called me
- 21:39Speaker 5: the sports psychologist then because I didn't have a job before.
- 21:43Speaker 4: I love that.
- 21:44Speaker 5: So I was just like a glue guy on the bench.
- 21:47Speaker 5: That was honestly what I'm best at. Just just hanging.
- 21:50Speaker 5: But so, yeah, this movie will always make me think
- 21:53Speaker 5: of that, which is super, super funny.
- 21:56Speaker 4: That's amazing.
- 21:56Speaker 5: Yeah. As far as other things in this movie, I
- 22:00Speaker 5: think it's just really funny. the music was really good
- 22:04Speaker 5: i didn't remember the soundtrack being so fun.
- 22:06Speaker 4: Way better than i was expecting as well better than
- 22:09Speaker 4: it needed to be even like right away i.
- 22:10Speaker 5: Was like all right this is a bop like we're
- 22:12Speaker 5: having fun out here i like it uh armadillos are
- 22:15Speaker 5: very cute i found myself thinking because they show up
- 22:18Speaker 5: a couple times um yeah and uh i guess my
- 22:23Speaker 5: hot well i have two hot takes number one first
- 22:26Speaker 5: hot take when the dudes jump in the water to
- 22:29Speaker 5: get the ball after he finally makes it, there's 900
- 22:33Speaker 5: balls down there.
- 22:34Speaker 4: How do we know? There's no chance. Come on.
- 22:37Speaker 5: I thought that was fun though. I liked it.
- 22:39Speaker 4: Yeah, I did.
- 22:40Speaker 5: I did. Uh, I had to stop and be like,
- 22:43Speaker 5: did they jump in the water and happy Gilmore or
- 22:45Speaker 5: this movie? Like I couldn't quite remember. Um, I thought
- 22:49Speaker 5: that was silly. And my second hot take, maybe it's
- 22:52Speaker 5: cause I'm an old man, but like, i don't know
- 22:55Speaker 5: that we should be celebrating that he threw his chance
- 22:58Speaker 5: away because the difference between 12th and second in the u.s
- 23:02Speaker 5: open is probably like.
- 23:03Speaker 4: So much six hundred thousand dollars or something i mean
- 23:06Speaker 4: these days it's millions that's true but even then it
- 23:10Speaker 4: had to be then a couple hundred grand or something
- 23:12Speaker 4: right so like you'd think maybe.
- 23:14Speaker 5: This guy should have uh not chased the the dragon
- 23:18Speaker 5: so much but that is a a defeatist attitude. So
- 23:21Speaker 5: I'll keep my dumb take to myself.
- 23:24Speaker 4: That's fun. That's fun. I like it.
- 23:25Speaker 5: That's as hot as I get, bud. What do you think?
- 23:28Speaker 4: That is a hot take. We have such a similar
- 23:31Speaker 4: hot take. You said so many of the same things
- 23:33Speaker 4: that I was going to say. I did not have
- 23:35Speaker 4: a fun story about being a sports psychologist.
- 23:37Speaker 5: Was it fun? Cause I was like, should I tell this?
- 23:39Speaker 5: I enjoyed it.
- 23:40Speaker 4: I enjoyed it very much. And I'd never heard that
- 23:42Speaker 4: from you. Um, I always thought this movie was really cute.
- 23:46Speaker 4: It's written and directed by Ron Shelton. This is the
- 23:49Speaker 4: second Ron Shelton movie we've covered.
- 23:51Speaker 5: Oh, really?
- 23:51Speaker 4: The first being Whiteman Can't Jump.
- 23:55Speaker 5: Oh, that's fun. Okay. Also sports.
- 23:58Speaker 4: He also wrote and directed Bull Durham, which I would
- 24:02Speaker 4: imagine we'd do an episode on someday.
- 24:04Speaker 5: Yeah, why not? That movie's fun.
- 24:06Speaker 4: And I'm pretty sure our buddy Benny, uh, knows Ron
- 24:09Speaker 4: Shelton because he did the Bull Durham musical.
- 24:11Speaker 5: That's right.
- 24:12Speaker 4: Yeah, he's brought him up in the past. Yeah.
- 24:14Speaker 5: Lovely.
- 24:16Speaker 4: Um, but yeah, I had very similar take with, uh,
- 24:18Speaker 4: I think it's a fun rom-com, uh, with two actors
- 24:21Speaker 4: at the height of their careers, super fun supporting cast
- 24:25Speaker 4: coinciding with an underdog sports story. Uh, it's funny and
- 24:29Speaker 4: inspiring and that's a really fun recipe for a movie
- 24:31Speaker 4: that we're going to dig more often than not. Absolutely. Um, Yeah,
- 24:36Speaker 4: the music I said as well. I loved seeing the
- 24:40Speaker 4: real golfers reacting to his style of play.
- 24:42Speaker 5: Yeah, that was fun.
- 24:43Speaker 4: And seeing baby face Phil Mickelson out there. And he's betting.
- 24:46Speaker 4: And you're like, this is Phil Mickelson. Big time.
- 24:50Speaker 5: Calm down, Phil. Take it easy.
- 24:51Speaker 4: Because that guy is a notorious gambler.
- 24:55Speaker 5: Like wasn't there a story that's part of, cause he'd
- 24:57Speaker 5: went to live right for a little bit.
- 24:59Speaker 4: He was the guy.
- 25:00Speaker 5: Yeah. And that was part of the story was like,
- 25:02Speaker 5: he needs the cash.
- 25:04Speaker 4: He needs all this money. Big time.
- 25:07Speaker 5: Yeah. Yeah.
- 25:07Speaker 4: But that was really funny. Baby. I know, dude, I
- 25:11Speaker 4: didn't recognize him at first. I was like, Oh yeah,
- 25:12Speaker 4: that's definitely.
- 25:13Speaker 5: I was like, Oh yeah, Phil's in this. Oh, that's him.
- 25:15Speaker 5: My goodness.
- 25:16Speaker 4: Yeah. Um, but yeah, just overall a really good time.
- 25:21Speaker 4: It was fun to rewatch. It had been many, many
- 25:23Speaker 4: years since I'd seen it. Again, was shocked that it
- 25:27Speaker 4: was two hours and 14 minutes. They could have definitely
- 25:29Speaker 4: cut it down. My other hot take.
- 25:32Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 25:33Speaker 4: Big time hot take. Another example of a therapist sleeping
- 25:38Speaker 4: with their client. It's so old. I hate it so much.
- 25:43Speaker 5: Is this why you married a therapist? You were just like,
- 25:46Speaker 5: I maybe nothing else. I could be her client. I
- 25:49Speaker 5: guess it is.
- 25:51Speaker 4: Every time there's a therapist in a movie.
- 25:53Speaker 5: It does happen every single time.
- 25:56Speaker 4: It drives me nuts. It's like, what are we doing?
- 26:01Speaker 5: Just the most unethical thing you can think of, too.
- 26:04Speaker 4: It's horrible. Now, granted, they met before. Yeah, this one
- 26:08Speaker 4: was a little less egregious. A little less, but it's
- 26:12Speaker 4: still like, come on.
- 26:14Speaker 5: At least she was like, he can't be my patient anymore. Yeah.
- 26:19Speaker 5: Because we're sleeping together, so there's that.
- 26:22Speaker 4: The ethics behind all of it is still pretty murky
- 26:25Speaker 4: at best.
- 26:26Speaker 5: It's bad.
- 26:26Speaker 4: It's not good. It's funny, though. It's every time.
- 26:30Speaker 5: Every time.
- 26:31Speaker 4: Every time. Oh, man.
- 26:34Speaker 5: Radio crazy and anger management. It's weird.
- 26:37Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 26:38Speaker 5: Good sex scene, though.
- 26:43Speaker 4: Goose brava. Oh, no.
- 26:46Speaker 5: Oh, no.
- 26:48Speaker 4: All right, let's move it along here. Let's pick our
- 26:51Speaker 4: favorite acting performance and let's choose the dude.
- 26:53Speaker 5: The dude.
- 26:56Speaker 4: I'm the dude.
- 26:57Speaker 5: So that's what you call me, you know? That or
- 27:01Speaker 5: his dudeness or duder or, you know, El Duderino, if
- 27:06Speaker 5: you're not into the whole brevity thing.
- 27:08Speaker 4: Why don't you go first, buddy?
- 27:08Speaker 5: Let me go first. I think it has to be
- 27:11Speaker 5: Kevin Costner, then. Yeah.
- 27:14Speaker 4: He....
- 27:16Speaker 5: He really comes across as an athlete. And I think
- 27:19Speaker 5: he is based on just everything about him.
- 27:22Speaker 4: Um, so many sports films.
- 27:23Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 27:23Speaker 5: And was he like semi pro at something? I feel
- 27:25Speaker 5: like we've heard a couple actors that were back in
- 27:27Speaker 5: the day.
- 27:28Speaker 4: Oh, I can look it up.
- 27:29Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 27:29Speaker 5: I guess I don't remember, but I think he is
- 27:32Speaker 5: pretty fun in this movie. Uh, he's especially fun cause
- 27:36Speaker 5: he is both like the good guy and sort of
- 27:38Speaker 5: the bad guy. Cause he's the one getting in his
- 27:40Speaker 5: own way. Right. With almost everything. Um, which is very
- 27:44Speaker 5: relatable in life. But, uh, I just think he's pretty great.
- 27:48Speaker 5: Like he's cool enough to pull off the shots. They also,
- 27:52Speaker 5: I think this was in trivia too, but it was
- 27:54Speaker 5: also very clear based on the shots that we got, uh,
- 27:58Speaker 5: that he was hitting a bunch of these shots. Cause
- 28:00Speaker 5: they would do like the, the big, like big pan back.
- 28:04Speaker 5: And it just the whole way it's like, well, you
- 28:06Speaker 5: can't really, you know, change that unless you really want
- 28:10Speaker 5: to spend a bunch of money. But I, yeah, I
- 28:12Speaker 5: just think he's really cool. He moves like an athlete.
- 28:15Speaker 5: Like he's, he's funny. He's vulnerable in this.
- 28:19Speaker 4: He was an athlete in high school. Um, he got
- 28:22Speaker 4: cut from the college baseball team.
- 28:25Speaker 2: Oh.
- 28:26Speaker 4: Um, so he did, he did get on there at
- 28:28Speaker 4: Cal state Fullerton.
- 28:30Speaker 5: Okay. Cool. Nice. So he's at least semi-athletic, but he's
- 28:34Speaker 5: been in all these movies. He's, and they don't look
- 28:37Speaker 5: weird which is great so right super fun but yeah
- 28:40Speaker 5: i i think i'd give it to him i thought
- 28:43Speaker 5: he was really good.
- 28:44Speaker 4: In this 100 i'm right there with you he's super
- 28:47Speaker 4: flawed not a great friend pretty selfish yeah arrogant consistently
- 28:53Speaker 4: sabotaging himself but he's somehow likable yeah and we still
- 28:57Speaker 4: find yourself rooting for him and i don't know if
- 29:01Speaker 4: many folks can pull that off and i thought uh
- 29:04Speaker 4: kevin costner did i thought he was very charming Um,
- 29:08Speaker 4: even though he's kind of a, kind of a douche
- 29:11Speaker 4: a little bit, but it's still just a likable one,
- 29:14Speaker 4: which is nice.
- 29:15Speaker 5: Can I ask you a question, Rob? sure do you
- 29:18Speaker 5: consider him like a like a prestige like style actor
- 29:23Speaker 5: uh what i mean is like in the upper echelon
- 29:26Speaker 5: like leo you know tom hanks i don't really either
- 29:30Speaker 5: but he's been in movies for so long and.
- 29:33Speaker 4: So long good in them and always solid.
- 29:36Speaker 5: But not like that right i'm not like being a jerk.
- 29:39Speaker 4: I don't feel the way and a lot of times
- 29:41Speaker 4: I can feel kind of unenthused by a Kevin Costner
- 29:46Speaker 4: performance like there's not a lot going on in the
- 29:49Speaker 4: face a lot of the time for me where I'm
- 29:51Speaker 4: like what is he thinking about but I think he's
- 29:55Speaker 4: great in these sports movies same and every once in
- 29:58Speaker 4: a while he can really give you a good performance.
- 30:01Speaker 4: You can tell that he's loving it.
- 30:03Speaker 5: Yeah. Um, I was just wondering if I was like
- 30:06Speaker 5: undervaluing him or something, you know, in my own brain.
- 30:08Speaker 4: I think you're right. I think you're right. But dude,
- 30:10Speaker 4: I feel like sometimes I'll see him like he, um,
- 30:15Speaker 4: he did a thing at, I don't know if it
- 30:16Speaker 4: was the Oscars or a golden globes or something, but
- 30:19Speaker 4: he was just like presenting an award. And he had
- 30:22Speaker 4: this monologue talking about like what films mean to.
- 30:26Speaker 5: Him and stuff.
- 30:26Speaker 4: And I was just like, Whoa, dude, that's cool. pretty
- 30:30Speaker 4: intense like i don't know yeah i i do like
- 30:33Speaker 4: him a lot and he's i'm not saying he's bad
- 30:36Speaker 4: leo by any.
- 30:37Speaker 5: Means but it is interesting like he's he's a guy
- 30:41Speaker 5: who's been like good but not incredible for a long
- 30:45Speaker 5: time which is super interesting yeah i'd agree with that
- 30:48Speaker 5: it's me uh sorry i interrupted you you can.
- 30:51Speaker 4: Not at all No, that that is what I wanted
- 30:55Speaker 4: to say about him. He's our dude. And let's talk
- 30:57Speaker 4: about this fun supporting cast and let's pick the Tucci Award.
- 31:00Speaker 5: Tucci! Why don't you go first on this one?
- 31:04Speaker 4: I'll go first because I think Cheech Baron is my
- 31:09Speaker 4: my Tucci in this. I love Cheech.
- 31:11Speaker 5: 100%. He's the guy.
- 31:13Speaker 4: He's so fun in this movie. And I feel like
- 31:16Speaker 4: I only knew him as super goofy before this.
- 31:20Speaker 5: Yeah, agreed.
- 31:20Speaker 4: Like Cheech and Chong and just like didn't know that
- 31:23Speaker 4: he could actually act a little bit, but. he's got
- 31:26Speaker 4: to do some, some stuff in this. It's not, you know,
- 31:30Speaker 4: Leo or anybody crazy, but, uh, yeah. Loyal to a fault,
- 31:35Speaker 4: but still able to stand up for himself. We know
- 31:38Speaker 4: he's so funny. Um, and we even get to see
- 31:41Speaker 4: him get the girl at the end, which that was lovely.
- 31:45Speaker 5: Yeah. Um, yeah, I, I loved him in this same.
- 31:49Speaker 5: I thought I almost picked him for the dude. Cause
- 31:51Speaker 5: I was just like, I loved every second he was
- 31:54Speaker 5: on screen. I don't know. He just, very charismatic, but
- 31:58Speaker 5: also gets pissed a couple of times, gets like fed up,
- 32:01Speaker 5: you know, all the things. It's really fun. Yeah. Yeah.
- 32:04Speaker 5: That's a great pick.
- 32:06Speaker 4: Uh, my runner up would have definitely been Renee Russo.
- 32:08Speaker 4: I had the biggest crush on Renee Russo for most
- 32:12Speaker 4: of the nineties.
- 32:13Speaker 5: Yes.
- 32:14Speaker 4: You had her in major league, lethal weapon three, a
- 32:17Speaker 4: movie called Mr. Destiny, which I feel like nobody saw,
- 32:21Speaker 4: but I loved. Is that a baseball movie? kind of
- 32:25Speaker 4: so it was um james belushi um he uh kind
- 32:32Speaker 4: of has like it's a wonderful life kind of thing.
- 32:34Speaker 5: Where if i just would have i would have hit
- 32:36Speaker 5: the that's right hit okay yep.
- 32:39Speaker 4: My whole life would have changed and like renee russo
- 32:42Speaker 4: is a big part of that oh.
- 32:43Speaker 5: Fun that's cool um i don't know if i ever
- 32:46Speaker 5: saw that but It.
- 32:47Speaker 4: Was kind of fun. And Michael Caine is kind of
- 32:51Speaker 4: his angel.
- 32:52Speaker 5: Oh, guardian angel of sorts.
- 32:53Speaker 3: Nice.
- 32:53Speaker 4: That's cool. But anywho, Renee Russo, I just thought she
- 32:58Speaker 4: was so beautiful. Pretty funny. Terrible therapist.
- 33:01Speaker 5: Not great. Not great.
- 33:03Speaker 4: Horrible therapist.
- 33:04Speaker 5: Very ethical, though. So there's that.
- 33:06Speaker 4: And I also liked how she would... She kind of
- 33:11Speaker 4: had that goofy, almost maniacal laugh when she was watching him. Yeah.
- 33:16Speaker 4: towards the end just.
- 33:17Speaker 5: Go for it just go for it just go for
- 33:20Speaker 5: it Roy you're right.
- 33:22Speaker 4: Roy Roy just do it and that was kind of
- 33:26Speaker 4: fun and kind of annoying but still.
- 33:29Speaker 5: It was cute yeah I like that that's fun yeah
- 33:32Speaker 5: is she I wonder if she's like retired from acting
- 33:34Speaker 5: now her last thing was.
- 33:35Speaker 4: Ending no granted that wasn't that long ago I get
- 33:40Speaker 4: that but that's been and she doesn't have any upcoming
- 33:43Speaker 4: projects uh.
- 33:44Speaker 5: Uh not that it says here no maybe Interesting. I
- 33:48Speaker 5: just went and looked because I was like, I haven't
- 33:49Speaker 5: seen her lately, but she's also been around forever.
- 33:52Speaker 4: What is that, like four years ago?
- 33:54Speaker 5: Endgame? Yeah. That was 2019, so that's seven years ago.
- 33:58Speaker 4: Wow, seven years ago, dude. Maybe she is done.
- 34:02Speaker 5: December. December of that year, of course. But yeah, I
- 34:05Speaker 5: don't know. I just happened to look. My God, I
- 34:08Speaker 5: hit the mic. Oh, boy. Everything's going pretty good.
- 34:11Speaker 4: You get so excited.
- 34:12Speaker 5: I just, I happened to look and I got excited.
- 34:18Speaker 5: uh i love her too i'm with you that's a
- 34:20Speaker 5: great pick as well i would have picked each and
- 34:23Speaker 5: then her i think uh don johnson is so wonderfully
- 34:27Speaker 5: hateable in this movie that i thought that was really
- 34:30Speaker 5: fun i.
- 34:30Speaker 4: Liked you know what i think's funny about that is
- 34:33Speaker 4: that he plays a great bad guy yeah we love
- 34:35Speaker 4: that but like he's just kind of a guy being
- 34:38Speaker 4: a professional and a grown-up like irresponsible for the most
- 34:42Speaker 4: part other.
- 34:43Speaker 5: Than he blows up at that one That one couple
- 34:46Speaker 5: with their kid. Right. The grandparents and their kid.
- 34:48Speaker 4: They have to make... And they keep saying, like, he
- 34:51Speaker 4: doesn't like kids. He's mean to dogs. But, like, they
- 34:54Speaker 4: have to make him be mean for us to really
- 34:56Speaker 4: not like him.
- 34:57Speaker 5: Totally.
- 34:57Speaker 4: In that instance. But otherwise, it's just, like, pretty sensible guy.
- 35:01Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 35:02Speaker 4: Kind of a pro.
- 35:03Speaker 5: Like, he's kind of a dick, too. But, you know, like.
- 35:06Speaker 4: Kind of. But it was subtle.
- 35:09Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 35:09Speaker 4: It was really subtle.
- 35:10Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 35:10Speaker 4: And we still didn't like him. But, yeah, I... Just
- 35:14Speaker 4: looking back, I was just like, you know, David Sims
- 35:17Speaker 4: is not too bad.
- 35:19Speaker 5: One thing I really liked about the character, he wasn't
- 35:21Speaker 5: like pissed that she went to Roy. He was just
- 35:25Speaker 5: kind of like, all right, that's fun. That's cool. Like, nope,
- 35:29Speaker 5: no skin on my back. You know, like I did
- 35:31Speaker 5: like you, but you know, like, or even when he
- 35:34Speaker 5: loses the bat, he's just like, okay, I'm still killing it.
- 35:38Speaker 5: You know, like life is still pretty good.
- 35:41Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 35:42Speaker 4: Or like when he's like, I won the tournament with
- 35:45Speaker 4: just a seven iron. He's like, have you ever done
- 35:48Speaker 4: anything like that? He's just like, never, never had that thought.
- 35:52Speaker 4: Never thought to try doing that, ever.
- 35:54Speaker 5: Honestly, Roy never thought to try.
- 35:55Speaker 4: Yeah, yeah.
- 35:57Speaker 5: He's like a little bland, but also, yeah, just like
- 36:00Speaker 5: a regular dude doing his thing.
- 36:01Speaker 4: Just a dude, yeah.
- 36:03Speaker 5: Yeah, that is a funny take. I like that a lot.
- 36:05Speaker 4: Yeah, yeah.
- 36:06Speaker 5: But yeah, he's also kind of shmarmy and great. I
- 36:10Speaker 5: like him a lot. yeah it's fun uh i also
- 36:13Speaker 5: really liked linda hart as doreen i.
- 36:16Speaker 4: Thought she was so funny she was and.
- 36:18Speaker 5: The like stripper side plot is really good she's like
- 36:21Speaker 5: a business woman you know but also like as like
- 36:24Speaker 5: you know in this club we do you know things
- 36:27Speaker 5: so very specific i just liked her a lot i.
- 36:29Speaker 4: Thought she was i liked her too and love that
- 36:32Speaker 4: her and cheech end up hanging out at the end
- 36:34Speaker 4: so great And just that she kind of calls her
- 36:38Speaker 4: out on how crazy she is on the sidelines there.
- 36:40Speaker 4: Just saying, you're crazy too. Like, what are you?
- 36:43Speaker 5: Also funny that she, you know, cause her and Roy
- 36:46Speaker 5: had their thing, but like, they're still friends. And she
- 36:48Speaker 5: was like, all right, well, good luck with that. Like,
- 36:51Speaker 5: But isn't like there's no rivalry or, you know, and
- 36:55Speaker 5: she's just nice to her right away and friendly.
- 36:58Speaker 4: Wishing her the best.
- 36:59Speaker 5: It's kind of like I wish we could all be
- 37:01Speaker 5: a little bit more like that, you know?
- 37:02Speaker 4: Right.
- 37:03Speaker 5: Yeah. But yeah, I thought that was fun. And then
- 37:06Speaker 5: that Dennis Berkeley guy cracked me up pretty good.
- 37:09Speaker 4: Big guy.
- 37:09Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 37:09Speaker 4: Big guy.
- 37:10Speaker 5: Big guy.
- 37:11Speaker 4: I had to carry my own clubs the last like
- 37:13Speaker 4: three holes because he's just so out of shape.
- 37:16Speaker 5: He's like, you want me to carry him?
- 37:17Speaker 4: No.
- 37:18Speaker 5: Okay. If you think you should. Okay. Poor guy can't
- 37:22Speaker 5: even walk a golf course. That's brutal. That was brutal.
- 37:25Speaker 5: Also from Son-in-Law. So he's from a couple of my.
- 37:28Speaker 4: He's been in a bunch of things.
- 37:29Speaker 5: Yeah, he has.
- 37:30Speaker 4: He's like a pretty good character actor.
- 37:31Speaker 5: He had a nice career. Yeah, I really liked that.
- 37:34Speaker 5: And the whole gang was pretty fun too, but they
- 37:36Speaker 5: didn't get a lot of time.
- 37:38Speaker 4: No, but they had a fun camaraderie. It was fun.
- 37:41Speaker 5: Fun vibe, for sure.
- 37:43Speaker 4: I enjoyed seeing just the actual real golfer folks.
- 37:47Speaker 5: I mentioned Phil Mickelson, but.
- 37:49Speaker 4: We had Jim Nance, the legendary Jim Nance.
- 37:51Speaker 5: Also looked like a baby. I mean, obviously it was
- 37:54Speaker 5: 30 years ago, but I was just like, whoa, crazy.
- 37:57Speaker 4: But he's still doing it, man. Yeah, Fred Couples in there.
- 38:01Speaker 4: You got a few different golfers. Who was the mustache guy? Oh,
- 38:06Speaker 4: that's in trivia. He was a famous guy. Was that
- 38:08Speaker 4: Corey Pavin?
- 38:10Speaker 5: No, it wasn't.
- 38:12Speaker 4: Oh, then I don't know.
- 38:13Speaker 5: Gary McCord. We'll talk about them later.
- 38:16Speaker 4: We'll talk about them later.
- 38:17Speaker 5: No worries. Sorry.
- 38:19Speaker 4: Well, yeah, that's all the folks. Let's go and talk
- 38:22Speaker 4: about our favorite scene, and let's choose the dingus.
- 38:26Speaker 5: The dingus. The dingus is quite simple, really.
- 38:29Speaker 4: Dingus.
- 38:30Speaker 5: Dingus. I could talk about my dingus all night long.
- 38:32Speaker 5: I'm going to kiss you, dingus.
- 38:33Speaker 4: This one seems pretty easy to me, but what is
- 38:36Speaker 4: your favorite scene from Tin Cup?
- 38:39Speaker 5: I kind of want you to go first.
- 38:42Speaker 4: Why don't you go first? Cause I do think I agree,
- 38:44Speaker 4: but I just want to check. The very first thing
- 38:48Speaker 4: I think of with this movie is that 12 on
- 38:51Speaker 4: hole 18. That finally goes in on the last shot.
- 38:54Speaker 4: I mean, yeah, it's, it's so iconic.
- 38:56Speaker 5: It's the climax for sure. Yeah.
- 38:58Speaker 4: Give me another ball. Just give me another ball. Just
- 39:01Speaker 4: every time. It's so hard to watch.
- 39:03Speaker 5: I hate it, but I love it.
- 39:05Speaker 4: But such a satisfying ending when actually you see the
- 39:08Speaker 4: slow motion going into the cup, dude.
- 39:11Speaker 5: And all the golfers love it.
- 39:13Speaker 4: And they all love it. But they had built it
- 39:16Speaker 4: up so well over the whole movie, over the two
- 39:19Speaker 4: hours and 14 minutes that this dude is known for
- 39:24Speaker 4: crashing out.
- 39:25Speaker 5: Yes.
- 39:25Speaker 4: That he is gonna just sabotage himself at some point
- 39:30Speaker 4: um and he every day he had gotten it in
- 39:35Speaker 4: the water from that spot so they i felt like
- 39:37Speaker 4: they really built it up in a pretty great way
- 39:39Speaker 4: um and yeah everybody's gonna remember that that 12 on
- 39:44Speaker 4: hole 18 they're not gonna remember the par absolutely sims
- 39:47Speaker 4: got for second place such.
- 39:48Speaker 5: A great line It's great. Such a great line. I
- 39:51Speaker 5: feel like the whole movie was built around that idea.
- 39:54Speaker 5: Like just that for sure. Right. Yeah. Yep. So fun. Yeah.
- 39:57Speaker 5: I'm with you on that. That's a great one.
- 39:59Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 40:00Speaker 5: That's a great one. And the music.
- 40:01Speaker 4: And then like you said, like just all the cheering
- 40:04Speaker 4: and then those dudes jumping in is so great. So fun.
- 40:07Speaker 4: I love that.
- 40:08Speaker 5: Dude, also, I mean, this isn't going to win the
- 40:11Speaker 5: dingus by any means, but all of the scenes with
- 40:15Speaker 5: the dudes in the truck at the tournament were cracking
- 40:18Speaker 5: me up. Like the one guy that's just like, I
- 40:21Speaker 5: don't know, where's he from? Texas? Who knows? And the
- 40:23Speaker 5: other guy's like, East Texas. East Texas.
- 40:26Speaker 4: Yeah. I loved that main guy. He had one of
- 40:29Speaker 4: my favorite quotes. He was cracking me up.
- 40:31Speaker 5: Yeah. He had a couple of great ones. I loved
- 40:34Speaker 5: that so much. I also love... the whole, the whole
- 40:40Speaker 5: seven iron thing, breaking the clubs, I guess, to get
- 40:45Speaker 5: to the seven iron.
- 40:45Speaker 4: That's my runner up.
- 40:46Speaker 5: It's so good. It's a precursor, obviously to the end,
- 40:50Speaker 5: all the things, right. They're both kind of prone to
- 40:52Speaker 5: blowing up, obviously. Um, but it's just such a great scene.
- 40:57Speaker 5: And like, it is, you think one has control and
- 40:59Speaker 5: they don't. And then, yeah, I don't know. They're just
- 41:02Speaker 5: such good buddies and also get so mad, you know,
- 41:06Speaker 5: like it's, It's pretty great. I loved that scene a lot.
- 41:09Speaker 4: Yeah, that was my runner-up scene for sure.
- 41:11Speaker 5: Pretty fun.
- 41:13Speaker 4: The only other one I wrote down was kind of
- 41:17Speaker 4: when Molly realizes she's not into David and then bets
- 41:19Speaker 4: that Roy can make the trick shot in the bar.
- 41:22Speaker 5: See, I almost picked that as my favorite because that
- 41:25Speaker 5: I think of maybe almost more. Well, it's between that
- 41:29Speaker 5: and the other trick shot. Or the other bat, I
- 41:31Speaker 5: should say, where he hits it down the road, because I.
- 41:33Speaker 4: Think of that road one a lot, too. That is
- 41:35Speaker 4: a good scene. That is good.
- 41:38Speaker 5: Roy just immediately being like, God damn it.
- 41:41Speaker 4: It's like, he got me.
- 41:42Speaker 5: He got me good.
- 41:44Speaker 4: He got me good. Now I don't have a car.
- 41:46Speaker 5: But that Pelican scene is so fun, and Cheech is
- 41:49Speaker 5: so fun in that scene, because he's like, I.
- 41:53Speaker 4: Think he can do that.
- 41:56Speaker 5: He goes from like, oh my God, to... wait i
- 41:59Speaker 5: think he actually could which is.
- 42:01Speaker 4: And then you got the goofy announcer with the with
- 42:04Speaker 4: the soda yes he's got about 45 yards yeah ridiculous.
- 42:10Speaker 5: And then they go uh cheech in the getting sexiled
- 42:13Speaker 5: is so funny too he's just like this isn't the
- 42:16Speaker 5: time for for a marathon session yeah.
- 42:20Speaker 4: Just standing in the rain yeah it's just pouring on
- 42:24Speaker 4: him poor cheech what a good guy yeah um.
- 42:29Speaker 5: Uh what else was like i feel like there was
- 42:30Speaker 5: one more the truck was so fun oh that uh
- 42:35Speaker 5: the where he plays that guy with the bat the
- 42:38Speaker 5: rake the shovel that scene is pretty fun that's that
- 42:41Speaker 5: is fun that is i don't know if it's legal
- 42:44Speaker 5: to hit it like that with the bat.
- 42:45Speaker 4: But well and yeah he like teed one like he
- 42:49Speaker 4: threw it in the air and hit it definitely go
- 42:51Speaker 4: further But he does.
- 42:53Speaker 5: Did you notice in that he must be a switch hitter?
- 42:55Speaker 5: Like baseball must have been a sport at some point.
- 42:58Speaker 2: Oh, yeah.
- 42:58Speaker 5: You said that was what he got cut from. Right.
- 43:00Speaker 5: Was the baseball team from baseball?
- 43:01Speaker 4: Yep.
- 43:02Speaker 2: Yep.
- 43:02Speaker 4: Because I didn't see if he was a switch hitter.
- 43:04Speaker 4: I know he switched it when he was putting.
- 43:06Speaker 5: He hit the bat lefty unless they did one of those.
- 43:09Speaker 5: Sometimes they'll flip the thing for no reason. Hmm. But
- 43:13Speaker 5: he hit the bat lefty and then he hit the
- 43:15Speaker 5: shovel righty. So. Okay. Maybe that's common. I don't hit
- 43:19Speaker 5: a lot of shovels. So. Same. not certain yeah oh
- 43:27Speaker 5: and the only other one i had was when he's
- 43:29Speaker 5: got the shanks and uh they're warming up at the
- 43:33Speaker 5: open both kind of like the driving range when he's
- 43:37Speaker 5: like uh romeo do you see that when he hits
- 43:39Speaker 5: the car toy he's like i see it i see.
- 43:41Speaker 4: It you know a little chili pepper in here.
- 43:43Speaker 5: And then he's like whoopsies and then he's.
- 43:46Speaker 4: Like that's not a chili pepper oh no.
- 43:50Speaker 5: But then like at the thing when he when he
- 43:53Speaker 5: hits the one and it goes down the line and
- 43:55Speaker 5: hits the other golfers and he's like, who did that? Who?
- 43:59Speaker 4: What an idiot.
- 44:01Speaker 5: And Romeo's like, we're trying to be professionals out here, guys.
- 44:05Speaker 5: Went there clearly on the end. So funny.
- 44:08Speaker 4: That was good. Well, and then you had your sports
- 44:10Speaker 4: psychologist moment that you took.
- 44:12Speaker 5: Yes, that's true. That is true. But yes, I think
- 44:16Speaker 5: it's that final hold. Amazing. Incredible. Love it.
- 44:22Speaker 4: Sweet.
- 44:23Speaker 5: Should we talk about some of our favorite quotes? Shall we?
- 44:26Speaker 5: Show me the money!
- 44:27Speaker 1: Show me the money!
- 44:30Speaker 4: I need to feel you, Jerry!
- 44:31Speaker 2: Show me the money!
- 44:32Speaker 4: Jerry, you better yell!
- 44:34Speaker 5: Show me the money! Want to go first?
- 44:38Speaker 4: No, I want you to go first. All right, all right, okay,
- 44:42Speaker 4: all right. I did favorite scene first, that's why.
- 44:44Speaker 5: Oh, yeah, I forgot. These are highly technical golf terms,
- 44:49Speaker 5: and you're using them in your first lesson. I didn't
- 44:53Speaker 5: remember that line. This is promising. Yeah, I didn't remember
- 44:55Speaker 5: that line at all, and that really made me giggle.
- 44:57Speaker 5: I liked that a lot.
- 44:57Speaker 4: That was good.
- 45:01Speaker 5: That was fun.
- 45:01Speaker 4: I've been there. I should be such a good golfer.
- 45:03Speaker 5: Dude, samey's. Winner, winner, chicken dinner. That's an oldie but
- 45:10Speaker 5: a goodie. I love that line. That's fun. The who
- 45:13Speaker 5: hit that shot we already said. Oh, when she's like,
- 45:20Speaker 5: I find him mildly attractive when he's arrogant like this.
- 45:24Speaker 5: And then Romeo goes, oh, good. It's his best side.
- 45:29Speaker 4: Yeah, yeah.
- 45:31Speaker 5: That was great.
- 45:33Speaker 4: Yeah, I like that too.
- 45:34Speaker 5: So obviously taken by him, which is so great. this
- 45:40Speaker 5: cracked me up and i don't know if it was
- 45:42Speaker 5: on purpose or not but uh with most women i'm
- 45:45Speaker 5: just thinking about how to get in their pants but
- 45:47Speaker 5: with you i'm just thinking about how to get inside
- 45:49Speaker 5: your heart that was so dumb and great so fun
- 45:58Speaker 5: uh and then the last one i'll say and i'll
- 46:00Speaker 5: give you some time is uh yeah yeah when he
- 46:03Speaker 5: goes to therapy and he's like She's like, I've only
- 46:06Speaker 5: got 30 minutes. Well, that's enough time. 30 minutes. Hell,
- 46:09Speaker 5: I'm not that dumb.
- 46:11Speaker 4: Yeah, that was good.
- 46:12Speaker 5: That was pretty fun.
- 46:14Speaker 4: That was good.
- 46:15Speaker 5: Yeah, why don't you say a few? For sure.
- 46:18Speaker 4: I like that he says, sex and golf are the
- 46:20Speaker 4: two things you don't have to be good at to enjoy.
- 46:22Speaker 5: Yeah, fun. Agreed.
- 46:25Speaker 4: I like that. He says, if I had to do
- 46:29Speaker 4: it all over again, I'd still hit that shot. He's like, man,
- 46:31Speaker 4: you'd bury yourself alive just to prove you could handle
- 46:33Speaker 4: the shovel.
- 46:34Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 46:35Speaker 5: Love that.
- 46:36Speaker 4: Which is good. Kind of a deep one, but when
- 46:41Speaker 4: a defining moment comes along, you define the moment or
- 46:44Speaker 4: the moment defines you.
- 46:46Speaker 5: That's pretty good. That's a pretty good line. Yeah, I
- 46:49Speaker 5: like that a lot.
- 46:49Speaker 4: I like that.
- 46:50Speaker 5: I like that a lot, too.
- 46:54Speaker 4: Look, boss, I only got one rule, and that's never
- 46:56Speaker 4: bet money that you don't have on a dog race
- 46:58Speaker 4: with an ex-girlfriend who happens to be a stripper. That's
- 47:03Speaker 4: your one rule. It's a pretty good rule.
- 47:04Speaker 5: It's a pretty good rule.
- 47:05Speaker 4: That's a very, very specific rule, which I always love
- 47:10Speaker 4: that kind of thing.
- 47:10Speaker 5: Yeah, that is great.
- 47:13Speaker 4: Um tell me you don't at least find me a
- 47:15Speaker 4: little bit attractive you have your moments well you tell
- 47:18Speaker 4: me which moments are my moments and i'll try to duplicate.
- 47:21Speaker 5: That yeah pretty great i like that i feel like
- 47:23Speaker 5: i could see myself saying that for sure absolutely i'll
- 47:29Speaker 5: continue doing those that sounds great i will only say
- 47:32Speaker 5: those things great what do you think's funny i can
- 47:34Speaker 5: play the hits that's.
- 47:35Speaker 4: Great exactly um In our dingus scene, he's like, I
- 47:41Speaker 4: can make that shot.
- 47:43Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 47:44Speaker 4: And she's just like, well, do it then.
- 47:47Speaker 5: Quit fucking around. I love that. That gets me all
- 47:51Speaker 5: charged up. I love when it's just like, all right,
- 47:53Speaker 5: I'm here. Quit fucking around.
- 47:55Speaker 4: Like, oh, it's so good.
- 47:56Speaker 5: Yeah. That's a great one.
- 47:58Speaker 4: And then also the dude in the van does, somebody
- 48:01Speaker 4: tell this clown he doesn't have to hit it from there.
- 48:04Speaker 5: That is so, that got me so good.
- 48:07Speaker 4: Somebody tell this guy.
- 48:09Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 48:10Speaker 4: Loved it.
- 48:11Speaker 5: So funny, dude.
- 48:12Speaker 4: If you have some more, throw them out.
- 48:15Speaker 5: I do. I didn't know you felt like breaking every
- 48:19Speaker 5: club in your bag and getting in a pissing match
- 48:20Speaker 5: with your caddy who incidentally quit. And then he just
- 48:24Speaker 5: pauses and he goes, well, he always quits.
- 48:28Speaker 4: This is what we do this is our thing part.
- 48:30Speaker 5: Of it this is all part of the dance which
- 48:32Speaker 5: that was really fun uh and then the big guy
- 48:35Speaker 5: when he uh she she asked him is this normal
- 48:39Speaker 5: behavior for him and he's like well the word normal
- 48:41Speaker 5: and him don't often collide in the same sentence which
- 48:44Speaker 5: i thought.
- 48:45Speaker 4: Was pretty great yeah they had some good lines in
- 48:48Speaker 4: this yeah it.
- 48:48Speaker 5: Was pretty fun um And then when he talks about
- 48:52Speaker 5: the big guy having been his caddy and he's like, look,
- 48:55Speaker 5: I love old Earl. Okay. But I need you. Romeo
- 48:59Speaker 5: just goes, what? You don't love me.
- 49:02Speaker 4: That was so funny.
- 49:05Speaker 5: That's so good.
- 49:06Speaker 4: So of course, am I special?
- 49:09Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 49:09Speaker 4: So cute. Yeah.
- 49:12Speaker 5: I thought that was really funny. Oh, and I loved,
- 49:16Speaker 5: I can't remember who comes up to her at the end. Oh,
- 49:18Speaker 5: it's the walrus, right? That comes up at the end
- 49:20Speaker 5: and he's like, hey, can I get a card? If
- 49:22Speaker 5: you can do that for Roy, imagine what you could
- 49:25Speaker 5: do for me or whatever.
- 49:26Speaker 4: Right, right.
- 49:27Speaker 5: Was that him? Was that the walrus? I don't remember
- 49:29Speaker 5: that guy's name. I don't know.
- 49:30Speaker 4: I don't know what his name is.
- 49:31Speaker 5: Me either.
- 49:32Speaker 4: But yeah, he was a golfer.
- 49:33Speaker 5: Yeah, yeah.
- 49:33Speaker 4: A real golfer.
- 49:34Speaker 5: And she goes, I do counsel couples, so if you
- 49:37Speaker 5: want to bring your caddy, that would be just fine.
- 49:39Speaker 4: Which is good.
- 49:40Speaker 5: That was pretty great. Yeah.
- 49:45Speaker 4: She'll probably end up sleeping with all of them because
- 49:47Speaker 4: that's what she does because she's the therapist. That's all
- 49:50Speaker 4: they do in movies. So dumb.
- 49:54Speaker 5: Kelsey, what are you doing tonight?
- 50:00Speaker 4: Call me every minute on the minute.
- 50:04Speaker 5: Oh, God. Every movie therapist sleeps with their patient. That's
- 50:08Speaker 5: really something.
- 50:09Speaker 4: It really is. Wow.
- 50:11Speaker 5: That's pretty much all the ones I had written down.
- 50:14Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 50:14Speaker 4: Samesies. Well, let's go to Buke's boohoo moments. The crying game. Um,
- 50:21Speaker 4: I just did one. I just did when the ball
- 50:23Speaker 4: finally goes in, the people cheered, the music swells. It's just, yeah.
- 50:29Speaker 4: Little boohoo.
- 50:29Speaker 5: Yep. That one got me. Yep. Yep.
- 50:32Speaker 4: Did you have more than that?
- 50:33Speaker 5: So I, I think you win. I got close, close
- 50:37Speaker 5: enough that I wrote it down, but I don't think I,
- 50:39Speaker 5: you know, fully crossed the precipice, but, uh, when romeo
- 50:44Speaker 5: was just like take your drop roy like i guess
- 50:48Speaker 5: that's kind of the same part maybe even.
- 50:50Speaker 4: Yeah i mean it's a minute oh that's true yeah
- 50:54Speaker 4: it's 12 shots before that or whatever but uh that
- 50:58Speaker 4: part really that was like the saddest part for me
- 51:02Speaker 4: was him just being like almost pleading with him like
- 51:05Speaker 4: dude just come on like come on we're so close
- 51:07Speaker 4: close you're close you're like yeah i don't know that
- 51:10Speaker 4: really got me but yeah i think it's just one
- 51:12Speaker 4: so you.
- 51:12Speaker 5: Nailed it yeah Good work. Good work. Movie trivia. I
- 51:18Speaker 5: don't have a ton for this. Let's see. When filming
- 51:23Speaker 5: at the Tubac Golf Resort in Arizona, in the Arizona desert,
- 51:27Speaker 5: the script called for a water hazard. But since there
- 51:30Speaker 5: are none on the course, the filmmakers had to build
- 51:33Speaker 5: one and they named it Tin Cup Lake. So they
- 51:36Speaker 5: just built a water hazard, I guess. Wow.
- 51:39Speaker 4: And like deep enough for those guys to like dive
- 51:42Speaker 4: into it.
- 51:42Speaker 5: I guess so. yeah scary uh let's see the grandparents
- 51:47Speaker 5: and the grandchild with the dog and the scene where
- 51:49Speaker 5: sims yells at them after asking for an autograph are
- 51:52Speaker 5: played by kevin costner's parents sharon and bill and the
- 51:55Speaker 5: grandchild is played by his son joe costner that's kind
- 51:59Speaker 5: of fun i.
- 51:59Speaker 4: Did i did notice that there were a lot of
- 52:01Speaker 4: costners in the credits.
- 52:02Speaker 5: I didn't even i didn't even look for that but
- 52:04Speaker 5: that's that's super fun i like that yeah i feel
- 52:07Speaker 5: like if i was in a movie i would make
- 52:08Speaker 5: that happen.
- 52:09Speaker 4: For people like yeah let's be great Oh, dude. Pause
- 52:15Speaker 4: on that.
- 52:16Speaker 5: Oh, yes.
- 52:16Speaker 4: Because I just saw a clip. Farva from Super Troopers. Yes.
- 52:23Speaker 4: He his dad, I guess, was bummed out because that
- 52:27Speaker 4: actor's name, I think, is Kevin Heffernan.
- 52:29Speaker 5: Yeah, I think that's right.
- 52:31Speaker 4: He, uh, had finished his law degree and was supposed
- 52:35Speaker 4: to take the bar exam, but instead made super troopers.
- 52:40Speaker 4: His dad was not happy about that. He was like,
- 52:43Speaker 4: you don't get the ball to the goal line and
- 52:45Speaker 4: then just kneel down. Um, and, uh, so he put his,
- 52:51Speaker 4: his folks in the movie and his dad is like
- 52:55Speaker 4: a judge and, uh, Every once in a while, people
- 52:59Speaker 4: recognize his dad because his dad was the chicken.
- 53:05Speaker 5: That's his dad.
- 53:06Speaker 4: That's his dad. And his people recognize and be like, hey, chicken.
- 53:13Speaker 4: He's like, dude, I've been a judge for 32 years.
- 53:16Speaker 4: And this is what people remember.
- 53:18Speaker 5: We will now come into session, please.
- 53:21Speaker 4: Yeah. So that's amazing. I seriously just saw that clip
- 53:26Speaker 4: like an hour ago.
- 53:27Speaker 5: That's so great.
- 53:28Speaker 4: Fresh in my mind.
- 53:30Speaker 5: Referenced in the Spider-Man episode.
- 53:34Speaker 4: Yes, because you had just said that line. That's funny.
- 53:38Speaker 4: That's really good.
- 53:39Speaker 5: I like that a lot. Where were we? Oh, yeah.
- 53:43Speaker 5: Joe Costner. Many of the shots. Oh, we already said
- 53:46Speaker 5: Kevin Costner had many of the shots. Cheech Marin disliked
- 53:51Speaker 5: golf until he joined this film and later became an
- 53:54Speaker 5: avid player of the game. So that's fun. It's a
- 53:56Speaker 5: good reason to take up golf, I guess. Yeah.
- 54:01Speaker 4: It's a good time. You really haven't gotten into golf.
- 54:04Speaker 5: I like it. I played golf. in high school yeah
- 54:10Speaker 5: um i never got into the competition part but yeah
- 54:12Speaker 5: it's kind of a spendy too which is tough yeah
- 54:16Speaker 5: it is kind of done or it can get i
- 54:18Speaker 5: guess it's no more than it can get really expensive
- 54:20Speaker 5: if you go to really nice courses i could see
- 54:22Speaker 5: myself taking it up later in life for sure it
- 54:25Speaker 5: seems like it'd be fun it's a good excuse to
- 54:27Speaker 5: hang out nothing else.
- 54:28Speaker 4: That's all that's all it really is and like I've
- 54:31Speaker 4: played for so long and just have never gotten any better.
- 54:34Speaker 4: And it's just, it's just a good time to go out.
- 54:37Speaker 5: I like going to the range a lot. So maybe
- 54:40Speaker 5: I could get into that. I could see that. Yeah. Yeah.
- 54:43Speaker 5: Next chapter. Uh, Dennis Quaid stated, uh, Oh, do you
- 54:48Speaker 5: probably have this one? Sorry.
- 54:49Speaker 4: You say it.
- 54:50Speaker 5: Yes. He stated that he regrets. He turned down the
- 54:53Speaker 5: role to role played by Don Johnson. So that's pretty crazy.
- 54:56Speaker 4: It would have been great too, man.
- 54:58Speaker 5: Yeah. He would have been awesome at that. Why did
- 54:59Speaker 5: he turn it down? What a goofball. Yeah. Roy McEvoy's
- 55:03Speaker 5: final overall score in the Open was one under par, 287.
- 55:07Speaker 5: His four round scores were 83, 62, 64, 78. So
- 55:13Speaker 5: even with the 12, he still shot better than he did.
- 55:15Speaker 4: The first day. Right. And yeah, I mean, still was
- 55:20Speaker 4: in the top 15. He qualifies for the next U.S.
- 55:24Speaker 5: Open. Amazing. That's pretty cool. The opening's cool. It's cool
- 55:28Speaker 5: that they do that. Don Johnson and Cheech Marin would
- 55:32Speaker 5: go on to star together in the television series Nash
- 55:34Speaker 5: Bridges later that same year this movie came out. Were
- 55:38Speaker 5: you a Nash Bridges guy?
- 55:40Speaker 4: I was not.
- 55:40Speaker 5: I don't think I ever saw it, actually.
- 55:42Speaker 4: Not one episode.
- 55:43Speaker 5: Me either. Okay. Well, glad I brought it up. Roy's
- 55:46Speaker 5: friend and sometimes catty Earl, played by Dennis Berkley, wears
- 55:50Speaker 5: several shirts from TCU through the movie.
- 55:53Speaker 4: Yeah, he did.
- 55:54Speaker 5: And that's where he actually went to college, so that
- 55:55Speaker 5: was probably pretty fun.
- 55:57Speaker 4: That's super fun.
- 55:58Speaker 5: Yeah, I thought that was neat. I like those big
- 56:00Speaker 5: old shirts he's got on. They're nice. That is fun.
- 56:03Speaker 4: Let's see. TCU. Is that where LaDainian Tomlinson went?
- 56:07Speaker 5: Yes. I feel like that's where he went. I think
- 56:09Speaker 5: that's right. They're the Horned Frogs, correct?
- 56:12Speaker 4: They are, yeah.
- 56:13Speaker 5: Texas Christian. Yep. I think I drove past it once, too.
- 56:17Speaker 4: University is the U part.
- 56:18Speaker 5: I didn't know, so I.
- 56:19Speaker 4: Just moved on. It seemed like you got stuck up.
- 56:22Speaker 5: No, I just figured we all knew it. But I'm
- 56:25Speaker 5: glad you took the chance to make me look like
- 56:27Speaker 5: an idiot. Chicken. Sorry. oh boy silly we're having a
- 56:39Speaker 5: good time we are uh and then the last thing
- 56:42Speaker 5: that i have is uh the scene at the end
- 56:44Speaker 5: of the movie where roy hits his shot in the
- 56:45Speaker 5: water hazard again and again It was based on an
- 56:48Speaker 5: actual event. Gary McCord, who is the commentator with the
- 56:52Speaker 5: handlebar mustache in the movie, the guy who grabs the
- 56:56Speaker 5: water thing and all that, he's an actual commentator and
- 57:00Speaker 5: pro golfer. In 1987 in a tournament, he had a
- 57:03Speaker 5: shot similar to Kevin Costner's. He needed a birdie to
- 57:06Speaker 5: win and went for it. He hit the water over
- 57:09Speaker 5: and over again, finally made the shot, but it cost
- 57:11Speaker 5: him 15 strokes. In the movie, Costner gets it in 12.
- 57:17Speaker 5: And the scene where Roy wins a bar bet by
- 57:21Speaker 5: hitting a golf ball at a pelican also was based
- 57:23Speaker 5: on a real-life incident of this McCord guy. So apparently
- 57:27Speaker 5: he's kind of tin cup, I guess, a little bit.
- 57:30Speaker 4: That is so cool. I didn't know that. No, I
- 57:32Speaker 4: didn't either.
- 57:33Speaker 5: I thought that was really neat.
- 57:35Speaker 4: That's really cool.
- 57:36Speaker 5: Yeah, pretty well. Oh, I do have one more piece
- 57:40Speaker 5: of trivia because I looked it up because I was
- 57:42Speaker 5: curious because my brain is, is bad, but, uh, you
- 57:47Speaker 5: can restock on golf balls at any time. It's not
- 57:50Speaker 5: like a, once you're out, you're out. Once you're out,
- 57:53Speaker 5: you're out. They added that. Um, they even say you
- 57:56Speaker 5: can borrow it from another player. You do have to
- 57:58Speaker 5: have the same ball the entire time, like the same type, um, and, uh, brand, but, uh,
- 58:05Speaker 5: you can even have someone get some from the clubhouse
- 58:07Speaker 5: for you if you want. Uh, as long as you
- 58:10Speaker 5: don't like delay play by a ton. So, But obviously
- 58:14Speaker 5: they wouldn't have penalized him for that. But I think
- 58:17Speaker 5: it's funny the way they did it. I liked it.
- 58:19Speaker 5: That is funny. Add a little more heft.
- 58:22Speaker 4: We're down to the last ball.
- 58:23Speaker 5: Last ball. Quit fucking around. Yeah. Did you have anything else?
- 58:30Speaker 4: Just a couple people that were up for roles. Pierce
- 58:33Speaker 4: Brosnan was considered for David Sims as well.
- 58:38Speaker 5: That would have been interesting. I don't think of him
- 58:40Speaker 5: as a golfer for some reason.
- 58:42Speaker 4: Yeah, and rarely a bad guy, but he can play
- 58:47Speaker 4: kind of smarmy.
- 58:48Speaker 5: Yeah, he probably would have been fine. Yeah, for sure.
- 58:51Speaker 4: He would have been okay. And then it looks like
- 58:53Speaker 4: John Leguizamo was considered for Romeo, which... Oh, that would
- 58:56Speaker 4: have worked for sure. Yeah, I feel like he would
- 58:59Speaker 4: have been much younger than Kevin. Yeah, you're right.
- 59:01Speaker 5: The age would have been tough.
- 59:03Speaker 4: Maybe not much. They're probably a little... They're probably within
- 59:07Speaker 4: 10 years.
- 59:09Speaker 5: Yeah, maybe.
- 59:09Speaker 2: Maybe.
- 59:10Speaker 4: But, yeah, it might not have been as big of
- 59:12Speaker 4: an issue.
- 59:13Speaker 5: Yeah, interesting.
- 59:14Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 59:15Speaker 4: Cheech was so good, though. But, man, did I love Cheech.
- 59:17Speaker 5: Yeah, he was great in this. Wonderful.
- 59:19Speaker 4: But John Leguizamo in The Odyssey. Oof. Dude, he's so good.
- 59:24Speaker 5: He's great in Chef.
- 59:26Speaker 4: Chef, too.
- 59:27Speaker 5: He's really.
- 59:28Speaker 4: the menu he was killing. I feel like he's kind
- 59:30Speaker 4: of had a resurgence.
- 59:32Speaker 5: You're right. Yeah. I also kind of liked him in
- 59:34Speaker 5: that hunting movie. What was that called?
- 59:37Speaker 4: The stupid hunting party.
- 59:40Speaker 5: The jerk, not the jerk. Obviously, you know, the one
- 59:45Speaker 5: I'm talking about, it's a, it's a, okay, I gotta like,
- 59:49Speaker 5: I've done this to myself. Uh, it's like a comedy
- 59:52Speaker 5: movie based on the, the principle of like the greatest
- 59:56Speaker 5: game to hunt is man. And he gets hired by
- 1:00:00Speaker 5: a rich guy to run away while this rich guy
- 1:00:02Speaker 5: hunts him. And it's a comedy about him doing that.
- 1:00:05Speaker 4: Yeah. Is it The Hunting Party?
- 1:00:11Speaker 5: The Past. I was like, it's something that they call him.
- 1:00:15Speaker 5: The Past is what it's called from 97. Not a
- 1:00:18Speaker 5: good movie by any means, but I really enjoyed it
- 1:00:22Speaker 5: back in the day.
- 1:00:24Speaker 4: John Leguizamo. He was up for Romeo.
- 1:00:27Speaker 5: That's really cool.
- 1:00:27Speaker 4: Could have been fun.
- 1:00:28Speaker 5: Yeah, that's really cool.
- 1:00:30Speaker 4: Will there be a sequel Judgment Day?
- 1:00:32Speaker 5: Probably not. No chance. At this point? Will there? I
- 1:00:36Speaker 5: doubt it.
- 1:00:37Speaker 4: There's no way. I mean, they'd have to be on the...
- 1:00:39Speaker 4: What do the old guys play? The senior tour? Not
- 1:00:42Speaker 4: the PGA, but he'd have to be on the senior tour.
- 1:00:45Speaker 4: But who knows, man?
- 1:00:46Speaker 2: Maybe.
- 1:00:46Speaker 4: It seems like he's done with Yellowstone.
- 1:00:47Speaker 5: They kind of made the Hawk, so that sounds like
- 1:00:49Speaker 5: it's similar-ish in some ways.
- 1:00:53Speaker 4: Maybe they'll... Make it a Western, and then Kevin Costner
- 1:00:58Speaker 4: will do it. He seems like he's.
- 1:00:59Speaker 5: In his real Western phase. If I'm not on a ranch.
- 1:01:03Speaker 4: Did you end up seeing that Horizon, like American Horizon
- 1:01:07Speaker 4: or whatever it was?
- 1:01:07Speaker 5: Wasn't there two parts of it, too? Yeah. Did you
- 1:01:11Speaker 5: watch it? No. No.
- 1:01:13Speaker 4: I had no interest.
- 1:01:14Speaker 5: Me either, really. I don't even.
- 1:01:15Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 1:01:16Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 1:01:16Speaker 5: It kind of came and went without. Yeah. And I
- 1:01:19Speaker 5: feel like at this point, we didn't hear anything. Too
- 1:01:22Speaker 5: wild and crazy about it. It can't be that good, right? No. Yeah,
- 1:01:28Speaker 5: I don't really care about Western. Like, they have to
- 1:01:30Speaker 5: be really special for me to give a hoot.
- 1:01:35Speaker 4: To give a hoot. Yeah.
- 1:01:37Speaker 5: So, yeah, probably not Judgment Day. Probably not.
- 1:01:41Speaker 4: Probably not. Probably not. Do you want to play a game?
- 1:01:44Speaker 5: Big time.
- 1:01:47Speaker 4: Well... I threw out on X if people wanted to
- 1:01:54Speaker 4: give us an actor or actress name with a large filmography.
- 1:02:01Speaker 4: I only got one response by our good friend Noelle.
- 1:02:06Speaker 5: Noelle!
- 1:02:09Speaker 4: Who we love.
- 1:02:10Speaker 5: Indeed.
- 1:02:12Speaker 4: And I'm just going to check and see if we have...
- 1:02:14Speaker 4: She's available. She's available.
- 1:02:17Speaker 5: I think we're going to do it.
- 1:02:18Speaker 4: He said Emma Stone.
- 1:02:20Speaker 5: Oh, what a great idea.
- 1:02:23Speaker 4: I feel like we can do some Emma Stone movies.
- 1:02:25Speaker 5: What a great audience.
- 1:02:28Speaker 4: So, Noel, thank you so much for your suggestion. And
- 1:02:33Speaker 4: I think we'll do it.
- 1:02:35Speaker 5: Hell yeah.
- 1:02:37Speaker 4: That's exciting.
- 1:02:38Speaker 5: That is exciting.
- 1:02:41Speaker 4: Um, cool. So, Emma Stone films.
- 1:02:45Speaker 5: Yeah, should I start? Sure. Uh, Begonia? Okay. Start with?
- 1:02:54Speaker 4: Uh, I'll do Poor Things. I think she won an Academy.
- 1:02:57Speaker 5: Award for it. It was really good, too. Uh, Easy A.
- 1:03:04Speaker 4: Easy A.
- 1:03:05Speaker 5: It's a Canadian film.
- 1:03:08Speaker 4: Um, We'll do Superbad.
- 1:03:12Speaker 5: Damn it. I just wrote. Okay. Yeah, I'll take that off.
- 1:03:15Speaker 5: Sounds good.
- 1:03:15Speaker 4: I just wrote and written Easy A, so.
- 1:03:23Speaker 5: Oh, why can't I remember what that's called, man? Wait,
- 1:03:30Speaker 5: one of them is the Simon Pegg movie, At World's End?
- 1:03:33Speaker 5: Or is it The World's End? Isn't she in that?
- 1:03:36Speaker 4: The World's End.
- 1:03:38Speaker 5: Not the Simon Pegg one. The other one that's similarly
- 1:03:40Speaker 5: titled with like Michael Cera and it's the end of
- 1:03:44Speaker 5: the world. And he's like a jerk. Seth Rogen's in it.
- 1:03:48Speaker 5: What is that movie called?
- 1:03:49Speaker 4: Oh, this is the end. This is the end.
- 1:03:51Speaker 5: Sorry. The end.
- 1:03:52Speaker 4: Is he in it? Is she in it?
- 1:03:53Speaker 5: I can't think. Maybe not, though. Let's just not. Let's
- 1:03:56Speaker 5: just ignore that.
- 1:03:57Speaker 4: What's her name? Emma from Harry Potter is in it.
- 1:04:00Speaker 5: I thought Emma. Well, it doesn't matter. You're probably right.
- 1:04:05Speaker 4: She could have been. So many people are into that movie.
- 1:04:08Speaker 5: Yeah. Crazy stupid love is what I should just go with.
- 1:04:11Speaker 4: Yeah. I think you should go with that for sure.
- 1:04:14Speaker 4: And let's do another one that we've done an episode
- 1:04:16Speaker 4: on and let's do a little Holland.
- 1:04:18Speaker 5: Great. Great one. Um, well, I already feel like I'm
- 1:04:23Speaker 5: not doing great, so that's good. Pretty good about that.
- 1:04:28Speaker 4: She was in a great buddy.
- 1:04:30Speaker 5: Uh, the hell is it called? The, the, bunny house.
- 1:04:39Speaker 4: Flip it around house bunny that sounds like that doesn't sound.
- 1:04:42Speaker 5: Right okay yeah she was in that okay i had.
- 1:04:45Speaker 4: Just written that one down i thought that was a
- 1:04:46Speaker 4: good deep cut one for me nice um uh one
- 1:04:52Speaker 4: that i did not see um but apparently it was
- 1:04:56Speaker 4: pretty good uh called cruella.
- 1:05:00Speaker 5: Oh yeah cruella was good I forgot you hadn't seen that. Interesting.
- 1:05:05Speaker 4: Still haven't.
- 1:05:05Speaker 5: It's fun, dude. The kids might be able to watch
- 1:05:09Speaker 5: that and not hate it.
- 1:05:10Speaker 4: Yeah, it seemed... When it came... It probably came out
- 1:05:13Speaker 4: five years ago-ish. It felt like they were still just
- 1:05:15Speaker 4: a little.
- 1:05:15Speaker 5: They were too young then.
- 1:05:16Speaker 4: They would have been freaked out about a lady who
- 1:05:18Speaker 4: wants to kill a bunch of puppies, but.
- 1:05:19Speaker 5: I'm not sure.
- 1:05:19Speaker 4: It's pretty fun now. Yeah.
- 1:05:22Speaker 5: Well, not that part, I guess, is not fun, but...
- 1:05:25Speaker 5: I like that movie, though. It was a different take
- 1:05:26Speaker 5: on it, which was fun. Yeah.
- 1:05:28Speaker 4: It was interesting.
- 1:05:29Speaker 5: Um....
- 1:05:31Speaker 6: Am I.
- 1:05:34Speaker 4: Emma Stone.
- 1:05:35Speaker 5: She was in The Amazing Spider-Man.
- 1:05:41Speaker 4: Oh, yeah. Good call. But she's not in the second
- 1:05:45Speaker 4: Amazing Spider-Man movie, right?
- 1:05:47Speaker 5: Or is she?
- 1:05:48Speaker 4: Yeah, I don't remember.
- 1:05:50Speaker 5: I think she is. I think that.
- 1:05:53Speaker 4: I can't. Is it just The Amazing Spider-Man 2?
- 1:05:56Speaker 7: Yeah, I think so.
- 1:05:58Speaker 5: Yeah. I think so. She's definitely not in the third.
- 1:06:00Speaker 5: Spoiler alert.
- 1:06:01Speaker 4: Spoily.
- 1:06:02Speaker 5: Or she's not in the second, but Rob's going to
- 1:06:04Speaker 5: win anyway. Let's not pick nits, guys. Come on. Come on.
- 1:06:08Speaker 5: He's handsome and he's good.
- 1:06:11Speaker 4: If anything, I bet they had flashbacks if she was.
- 1:06:13Speaker 5: You're right.
- 1:06:13Speaker 4: I can't remember.
- 1:06:14Speaker 5: That's a great call. But I think she was in two.
- 1:06:16Speaker 5: I think two.
- 1:06:17Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 1:06:18Speaker 5: I think. Anyway, it doesn't matter. I'll say friends with
- 1:06:22Speaker 5: benefits here. That's a deep poll.
- 1:06:25Speaker 4: That is a deep poll.
- 1:06:26Speaker 5: She's the girlfriend at the top. And she goes... John Mayer. Yeah.
- 1:06:31Speaker 5: That whole thing.
- 1:06:32Speaker 4: That is deep.
- 1:06:33Speaker 5: It's a deep hole.
- 1:06:34Speaker 4: But I am struggling with sex. No, you might beat
- 1:06:37Speaker 4: me on this because I only have two left and
- 1:06:40Speaker 4: I can't think of anything more than that. The one
- 1:06:44Speaker 4: where she got so much flack because she's playing an
- 1:06:50Speaker 4: Asian American woman. I don't remember this.
- 1:06:53Speaker 5: What is this? Yeah.
- 1:06:55Speaker 4: It is a movie called Aloha, which... It was a turd,
- 1:07:00Speaker 4: and the cast was incredible. Brutal. But it was not good.
- 1:07:04Speaker 4: I think it was a Cameron Crowe movie, too.
- 1:07:06Speaker 5: Sure.
- 1:07:07Speaker 4: So, like, everyone was excited for it, and then it
- 1:07:09Speaker 4: just wasn't good. Bummer. But, yeah, she got a lot
- 1:07:13Speaker 4: of flack for it.
- 1:07:13Speaker 5: Bummer.
- 1:07:13Speaker 4: Yeah. I think her last name was, like, Lee or something.
- 1:07:16Speaker 4: Shouldn't have known that. It's just a boy.
- 1:07:19Speaker 5: Damn. Good one.
- 1:07:27Speaker 4: What? I only have one more.
- 1:07:28Speaker 5: I know, but now I don't know if I even
- 1:07:30Speaker 5: have one more.
- 1:07:30Speaker 4: I feel like we've done a lot. Oh, no, never mind.
- 1:07:37Speaker 4: I got two more.
- 1:07:37Speaker 5: All right. Psyching me out.
- 1:07:41Speaker 4: Sorry.
- 1:07:42Speaker 2: Emma Stone.
- 1:07:46Speaker 5: She's got to have another Yorgos film in there, doesn't she?
- 1:07:56Speaker 4: Yep. That was the one that I have.
- 1:07:58Speaker 3: Oh.
- 1:07:59Speaker 5: Was it from this year? No. This year was Begonia?
- 1:08:02Speaker 4: This year was Begonia.
- 1:08:03Speaker 6: Then it was Poor Things Before That, so it was
- 1:08:05Speaker 6: one before that. Doesn't really help me, though, if I'm
- 1:08:12Speaker 6: completely honest, which is a bummer.
- 1:08:16Speaker 2: Oh!
- 1:08:17Speaker 5: Ooh. Shoot, what is that called? It was really good, too.
- 1:08:22Speaker 5: The other... No, not the other... It's a... Oh, she's
- 1:08:30Speaker 5: like the queen's play thing.
- 1:08:34Speaker 4: Yep.
- 1:08:35Speaker 5: Oh.
- 1:08:36Speaker 4: And that is so funny because that is not what
- 1:08:39Speaker 4: I was thinking. Wow, what is that called?
- 1:08:41Speaker 5: I know it. It's not other, right? I should get
- 1:08:44Speaker 5: away from that?
- 1:08:45Speaker 4: Correct. Get away from other. It's not other.
- 1:08:47Speaker 5: What the hell is that called?
- 1:08:47Speaker 4: It's not even close to that.
- 1:08:55Speaker 7: Damn it.
- 1:08:57Speaker 5: That was so good too. It is. I really like
- 1:09:00Speaker 5: that movie. I cannot even get started on it, other
- 1:09:03Speaker 5: than I can see you're in it. Okay.
- 1:09:07Speaker 4: Is it one that you liked the most?
- 1:09:10Speaker 5: I feel like that's supposed to get me there, and
- 1:09:12Speaker 5: I don't... Is that supposed to get me?
- 1:09:16Speaker 4: Like, if something was something that you liked the most,
- 1:09:20Speaker 4: it's probably your... Favorite.
- 1:09:21Speaker 5: The favorite! The favorite! I was like, I know you're
- 1:09:24Speaker 5: trying to help me. And that makes it worse somehow
- 1:09:27Speaker 5: for my brain. Thank you, buddy.
- 1:09:33Speaker 4: You're welcome. The other Yorgos film, it was funny because
- 1:09:37Speaker 4: you were like, yeah, it's before Poor Things. I was like, oh, God,
- 1:09:39Speaker 4: the favorite. But it was actually in between Begonia and
- 1:09:43Speaker 4: Poor Things. They did this movie that I still haven't
- 1:09:45Speaker 4: seen called Kinds of Kindness.
- 1:09:48Speaker 5: Oh, that's right. Yeah, I haven't seen that either. I
- 1:09:50Speaker 5: felt like that must have just been in like art
- 1:09:52Speaker 5: houses or something, huh? Because I don't.
- 1:09:54Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 1:09:54Speaker 5: I didn't see anything about that.
- 1:09:56Speaker 4: Interesting.
- 1:09:56Speaker 5: Yeah. Okay. Why do I feel like she was in
- 1:10:02Speaker 5: something with Bradley Cooper?
- 1:10:05Speaker 4: That's Aloha.
- 1:10:06Speaker 5: Oh, that's Aloha. That's Aloha. Okey dokey. Well, then that movie.
- 1:10:11Speaker 4: I mean, they might have done something else, too. Yeah,
- 1:10:15Speaker 4: it wasn't good.
- 1:10:17Speaker 7: Boy, I might be out then. Yeah, I think I'm out, bud.
- 1:10:29Speaker 4: The only reason I have him is because I have kids.
- 1:10:32Speaker 4: Some animated ones or something? She's the voice in The
- 1:10:37Speaker 4: Croods and The Croods A New Age.
- 1:10:39Speaker 5: Oh, I knew that. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Is it Nicolas
- 1:10:44Speaker 5: Cage is one of the voices in that, too? Okay, yeah. Weird. Oh,
- 1:10:48Speaker 5: I would have never thought of that. That's a good one.
- 1:10:50Speaker 4: Yeah, I got it when I was like, oh, I
- 1:10:53Speaker 4: got two more. That's why.
- 1:10:54Speaker 5: Nice.
- 1:10:54Speaker 4: That's why. But I got nothing else, dude.
- 1:10:58Speaker 5: We did pretty good, I think.
- 1:10:59Speaker 4: I feel like we're missing some older comedic ones, but
- 1:11:03Speaker 4: I couldn't think.
- 1:11:04Speaker 5: Of them, dude. I'm getting to movies here. Give me
- 1:11:07Speaker 5: one sec. Well, she's only been in 38 movies.
- 1:11:10Speaker 4: Well, we probably named... Okay.
- 1:11:14Speaker 5: She was in Eddington as well, which is another movie
- 1:11:17Speaker 5: I have not seen.
- 1:11:19Speaker 4: I did see that. Liked it.
- 1:11:20Speaker 5: Nice. Oh, that's a short.
- 1:11:24Speaker 4: Never mind.
- 1:11:24Speaker 5: Crude. Short. Oh, Zombieland and Zombieland Double Tap. We should
- 1:11:30Speaker 5: have got those.
- 1:11:31Speaker 4: We definitely should have got those.
- 1:11:32Speaker 5: Oops. Or was she in the first one? That was dumb.
- 1:11:34Speaker 5: Or just the second one? No, it was both.
- 1:11:36Speaker 4: No, she's in both.
- 1:11:37Speaker 5: Yeah, both.
- 1:11:37Speaker 4: She's both. Yeah, because the first one was just like,
- 1:11:40Speaker 4: you get me.
- 1:11:41Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 1:11:42Speaker 5: Dang it.
- 1:11:42Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 1:11:43Speaker 5: Yeah, that's great.
- 1:11:44Speaker 4: Battle of the Sexes.
- 1:11:45Speaker 5: Yeah, I never saw that, actually. Oh, dude, she's in
- 1:11:48Speaker 5: Popstar for a hot second.
- 1:11:51Speaker 4: Yeah, it was.
- 1:11:53Speaker 5: Was it even her?
- 1:11:53Speaker 4: She was a music artist.
- 1:11:55Speaker 6: Oh, okay.
- 1:11:55Speaker 4: No, she does a video.
- 1:11:57Speaker 5: Oh, okay. Cool. Yeah.
- 1:11:58Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 1:11:59Speaker 5: Irrational Man, which I don't think I've even heard of. Oh, Birdman.
- 1:12:03Speaker 5: I should have got that.
- 1:12:05Speaker 4: That was bad. That was bad.
- 1:12:06Speaker 5: Magic in the Moonlight.
- 1:12:07Speaker 4: She was in Amazing Spider-Man 2.
- 1:12:09Speaker 5: Good, good, good.
- 1:12:12Speaker 4: Gangsta Squad. Yeah, that was the other one she did
- 1:12:15Speaker 4: with Ryan Gosling.
- 1:12:16Speaker 5: Movie 43, which I don't think I ever actually saw.
- 1:12:20Speaker 4: The Help.
- 1:12:21Speaker 5: The Help. Wasn't she even nominated for that maybe? Jeepers.
- 1:12:26Speaker 4: She's been nominated a bunch. That's a bad one. Ghosts
- 1:12:29Speaker 4: of Girlfriends past the rocker. I was thinking the rocker,
- 1:12:32Speaker 4: but I didn't know if it was her or not.
- 1:12:35Speaker 5: Oh, I've seen that. I forgot she's in that.
- 1:12:39Speaker 4: Yeah. Yeah.
- 1:12:40Speaker 5: With Rain. Rain. Yeah. Rain Wilson. Yeah. I forgot about that.
- 1:12:46Speaker 5: She's kind of cool in that movie, too. That was
- 1:12:47Speaker 5: a fun. That was a funny comedy. I mean, that's it, though.
- 1:12:52Speaker 5: That was all the ones. Yeah.
- 1:12:53Speaker 4: We missed like seven that we probably should have.
- 1:12:55Speaker 5: Missed a couple of biggins, which was a bummer. Yeah.
