- 6:06found in a Roman -era graveyard in York, England,
- 6:09are the first physical evidence indicating that
- 6:12big cats were used in arena games. Archaeologist
- 6:17John Pierce states this individual is the only
- 6:20known person in the Roman world with such marks.
- 6:23The skeleton likely belonged to a venator, a
- 6:27beast fighter, as gladiators typically fought
- 6:30each other. This discovery sheds light on the
- 6:33violent spectacles of ancient Rome and the connection
- 6:36to big cats in England. In business news, MicroStrategy

- 8:31Let's talk tech. What if the world could break
- 8:34its dependence on China's rare earth materials?
- 8:38A promising solution comes from Conifer, a startup
- 8:42developing low -cost electric motors that use
- 8:45ordinary iron instead of rare earth. Led by experts
- 8:50from Lucid Motors and Apple, Hannover aims to
- 8:53create an affordable, efficient alternative for
- 8:56various applications, including scooters and
- 8:58electric vehicles. Their innovative Axial Flux
- 9:03motors are designed to deliver greater efficiency
- 9:05while being easier to manufacture. With a global
- 9:09market for two -wheelers projected to reach $218
- 9:13billion by 2029, Conifer's technology could revolutionize
- 9:18transportation and reduce reliance on costly
- 9:22materials. And in entertainment news, Thunderbolts,
- 9:29the first Hollywood blockbuster to debut in China
- 9:32since former President Donald Trump's tariff
- 9:35war, has significantly underperformed. The film
- 9:39opened to just 18 million yuan, or about 1 .9
- 9:43million pounds. falling short of local favorites
- 9:46like The Dumpling Queen. This marks the lowest
- 9:50opening for a Marvel film in China in over a
- 9:53decade. Meanwhile, Nezha, too, has become a massive
- 9:57success, surpassing $2 billion in ticket sales
- 10:01and ranking as the fifth -highest -grossing film
- 10:04globally. This shift highlights diverging tastes,
- 10:08as Chinese audiences increasingly favor homegrown
- 10:12content. Well, alrighty folks, it's time for
- 10:16the quote of the day. And today, our quote comes
- 10:20from the American civil rights leader, Martin
- 10:23Luther King Jr. And he said, The ultimate measure
- 10:28of a man is not where he stands in moments of
- 10:32comfort and convenience, but where he stands
- 10:34at times of challenge and controversy. And that's
- 10:39a wrap for this morning. You can check out our
