- illuminati: Megan. It's about time that we figure out what our Halloween costumes are. I mean, there's a lot of options. We you guys have been debating it and we're actually pissed off at ourselves because brains over here of fucking donuts. We had a really good idea that we can't remember. Can't remember it at all. But right now we are we are debating between. so I I thought the Goblin King and the girl I can't. Yeah, me either. but from the Labyrinth. So obviously on David. Obviously. Yeah. She'd be David Bowie. I'd be the and she's brunette. So like that goes. Yeah. And Tex can be the troll. Yeah. Yes. What's like Grundle or Grunt I don't remember his name. Anyway, Bluto, the big he could be Bluto. but then the other idea you came up with the other day, we were sitting on the couch. I don't remember. I don't remember. Don't remember. Remember. Carol Baskin. yeah. Killed her husband, whacked him. obviously I'm Joe. and but also I did dress up as Joe during good Joe. I mean, I would be happy either way, but I could be Carol Baskin. But could see you in like a leopard print suit. I mean it really could no, it's really like a tail. I love leopard print. It's a good time. Then f but Carol Baskin's flower crown. my god. But see, that's why I almost feel like she's blonde and you're blonde, but I could wear a wig. But you didn't really do that. Yeah, like where she's out in outer space. And then Tex would obviously be a tiger. We found an inflatable tiger costume. We did. So we would just put it in that. There was another one though, and I can't. And it was really good. We've also discussed doing Dumb and Dumber. Numerous years we've discussed I would be Lloyd Christmas and she'd be Harry. I'd definitely black out one of my teeth. So I'd have to get awake for that. My hair's not short. I can make my hair disheveled, but my hair's not short. Yeah. So you know, if you guys have any other ideas, let us know. We are open. we're not gonna be. C minus seven weeks. I know. Yeah, we're not doing it for we are gonna be doing a farmer's market, like the what is it? Witches. the the nightmare on Main Street down in Sumner Washington, Washington. So we're doing that again this year, but we decided that we're not gonna go weird for because it's very kid forward there. It's gonna be we're gonna do our witchy selves over. And Maybe I'll be Sarah Sanderson for that. I have I have a Sarah costume. I mean I will make myself Winifred. I can be Winifred. Yeah, I mean I don't And then we'll make Tex be merry if he's there. That would be fucking hilarious. Yes. But I don't know. We gotta figure out what's going on. But that would actually be so funny. So funny. He'd have to because they're gonna bring the kids down to trick or treat, right? So he'd have to come down dressing. I know he would. I kind of love that. I love it. I kind of do love it. Okay. Let's sit with that for a minute. we speaking of him, my sister is doing I think she's doing a Bugs Life theme, birthday party for her son. and We were like joking about it and I she was like, Yeah, and then text can be the big caterpillar. I'm a beautiful butterfly. It's just his personality. I don't know. Yeah, I like it. I like it. So those are all good ideas. He can do a really good German accent though. He can and he can. He can very good pretending to be No Nine. Nine Feminine. Feminine. There you go. Feminine. okay, you ready for this one? Yes. Okay. Did you know that in the Bahamas, apple pie costs three dollars and fifty cents? In Bermuda, it costs three dollars. And in Jamaica, it costs three seventy five. And those are the pirates of the Caribbean. Sorry. And those are the pirates of the Caribbean. It's like I said it too fast. I don't think I get it. Pie rates. Pie rates. I got it. I got it. But it also but it's because I said the other part too fast. That was my bad. Pirates. Those those are pirates. I like it. I thought it was hilarious. This guy walked up to these guys on the street and said it to them and they all looked at him and were like, Get the fuck out of here But I died. There's another one. Here's one more. Okay. Let's see if you get this one. gosh. What do you call a man with a small penis? What? Justin. Good one. Do we know any Justin's cider? I do. Okay. I mean, I know some, but no one I'm close with that I can think of. man. I mean that's like the cider that in Australia that was called Justin Cider. Justin Cider. Just in cider. And we used to get it all the time. It was delicious. Yeah. Anyways. Mm-hmm. There you guys go. Dick and cider. Dick and cider. There you go. Another one. Mm-hmm. Well, hello and welcome to Lunatic Soup, the podcast where we go into all things wild, weird and unknown. We're your host, Meg. And I'm Reina, ready rope some lunatic soup. Let's go. All right. Today we are drinking doo doo. We're going an old faithful. We are going the incline wildberry, which we have not had this on the show in a long time. I don't know if we've had this on the show, have we? Not the wet probably the Marionberry, which is what it used to be, isn't it? Or is this No, that's the Blackberry. Wildberry is its own thing. then I don't know. Why did it be the black? Blackberry now used to be Marionberry. Got it. Okay. Yeah. All right, well we've had this in like pairings. Like the candy parents when they'd like peanut butter and jelly. Yeah, which I love that one. Which the Halloween candy parents are my favorite thing. It is a good time. We should do this year. We haven't gone in a long time. I don't think we've gone since last year. Yeah. This is the incline six point nine percent. So all right. I don't even need sour slut it, I feel like. It's good. It's a little sweet. I'm gonna put some. You think that's sweet? I do. I feel like it's smells sweet but is tart. No, I I feel like it's a little sweet. All fine. That was a lot. Don't give me that much. Okay. Now I gotta swirl it. Mm. Whew, that's a lot of lime. I was about to say yours is probably aggressive. I like it. I like it a lot. I like it a lot. I mean, there we go. We could just be them. I'm telling you. What? I like it. I like it. What does that one remind me? A dumb and dumber. Yes, yeah, yeah. Okay, yeah. I was like, I know what happens. Carrie and Lloyd. Carrie and Lloyd. But that is fun, but I also feel like I don't know. We don't know. We'll see. There's so many options. Yeah. I do like the Harry and Lloyd because I do I said I want to get in a cane fight with you. But where would we go? Like we would we would dress up to record. We're not doing events this year, minus the one down in Sumner. Yeah. I mean, we just take pictures. Do you what else we could do? What? Which we kind of talked about this person last weekend, this character, Captain Jack Sparrow and dun dun dun dun dun dun dun dun dun dun dun dun Davy Jones. Davy Jones. Or I would I would like to wear a corset. I love a corset. you knock your socks off. Yeah. I I prefer to dress up as a man. I and Papa has a really good pirate hat. He does. A really solid hat. He does. So you could Where's the boat? We could really make this It's in the water currently, but might be on land by then. Who knows? Never say never. Never say never. I mean we could commandeer it. We could. I could see Papa running down the God damn you girls. No, he he's it. He'd be into it. He would help. He would help and then yellow. And just do and film something on the boat would be fucking funny. He'd be good. That would be a good one. Could he be Davy Jones? He could be Davy Jones. Okay. We just have to like figure figure that out. Mm-hmm. That's a lot. But we could figure it out. Or just like put a sticker on his face in all the pictures. Yeah of Davy Jones. Yeah, that's perfect. Make our own little AI of it. Yeah. If you will. If you will. All right. Well what are we talking about today, Megan? Today we are talking about the Illuminati. Which I'm very excited, very a little bit uneasy about it. There's so much I don't know how we can properly discuss it, honestly. Like we're gonna be grazing because that's the only way to that's literally a drop in the bucket of like what it is. Yeah. I mean there we could we could have you could have a whole, I'm sure there is, a whole podcast just on the Illuminati. Yeah. I wouldn't. I bet you there is. I wouldn't. It scares me a little bit, I'm not gonna lie. It doesn't scare me, but there's definitely like, you know, the whole secret society thing is from the dawn of p time, right? And this just this one stick. Stuck around or did it. I think it did. Or did it. According to Jim Carrey, it did. man. So when are the origins of the Illuminated or the Illuminati? Like what the group that we're talking about, like I said, like they they have like prehistoric groups of people and they've discovered like more secret societies from like that era. Okay. I don't don't ask me how I read about it, but I can't tell you about that. I don't have it written down in front of me. But literally from forever there's been secret societies. And I don't know what the psychology of that is. It's just people wanting to feel better or feel like they're more important or more powerful than other people, maybe? Standard. That's but isn't that like just like my stick is bigger than yours, you know? Sticker dick. I mean, which one where are we going with this? Is are we talking about men that did this or what? Which which direction? Are we talking about men? Come on. Because you know what? If women had a secret society, guess what? We wouldn't be talking about it because nobody would know about it. Mmm. Except for women. Well. What? Maybe. You don't think so? I don't know. We could keep it under wraps. I think we could, but at the same time, like you think about if you tell your husband something, like it's really not going that far. But if you tell me something Depends on the person and the situation. Like the phone call that I gave you after finding out some details. I just got a big hunk of lime. About someone who moved in to my parents' neighborhood. Yeah. That was supposed to be a secret. I immediately knew. No, I didn't. Not saying anything further. No, I didn't. Any hoodles. so the word Illuminati or the Enlightened Ones started showing up before Adam Weishop. Who is kind of said to be the start of this, but he's really not. huh. And this was the late fifteenth, early sixteenth century in Spain. Okay. And it was the alumbrados, and they were a mystical Christian movement claiming direct inner illumination from God, bypassing church hierarchy. Okay. Think about stuff going on right now. Uh-huh. Bypassing church hierarchy. I think that is really important. Yes. I just have an idea. Should we turn on ghost tube? Let's While we're doing this, like our ghost tube app, just because. Yeah, it's 'cause sometimes it does. We'll say I turned it on when I was across the street yesterday. Mm-hmm. Well there's we there's at a friend's house. my gosh, you guys, it was saying some crazy ass shit that I was like. So this specific group emphasized visions, inner light, personal revelation and th over like ritual and doctrine. Okay. So it's was more of a personal thing. Yep. And the Spanish Inquisition saw this as dangerous. What are you? The Spanish Inquisition Well, I couldn't even say that. The accent was excellent. You tried. That was that was a Monty Python. Yeah. Yeah. I didn't address I need to rewatch it because I haven't seen Do you know? The Muffin Man? I was about to say that too. The Muffin Man. The Muffin Man. For those of you who don't know, I mean I feel like most people know right now who listen to us, but we turn on the Ghost Tube app and then it can talk to us through it. So if you hear us just yelling random words or responding to something, that's what we're we'll repeat what it's saying, but like that's what we're talking about. But sometimes you can't I mean just in case. In the dark. In the dark. did you hear do you know I'll follow you into the dark? I'm already burping. I've had three sips. Yeah. so the Spanish Inquisition didn't I cannot say that word. Inquisition. Spanish Inquisition did not like this. They did not want people to have their own way of doing things, especially especially when it came to power, God, government, any of that thing. Weird. and several leaders were investigated and pu were punished. The movement was repeatedly condemned, and later similar groups in France were called the Illuminae or the L Illumination, and they started just kind of popping up. Ho, low. low. Caution. Low caution. Low caution. so we don't need to be afraid of the Illuminati. Low caution. Were they are they the right ones? We'll see. In the early sixteen hundreds, the Rosacrucian manifestos came out describing a hidden brotherhood of enlightened people. And they took like secret knowledge from nature, religion, and alchemy. So it's all about secret knowledge. Okay. That's the big thing with this group is secret knowledge. They said that they had ancient roots, secret vaults, and a mission to reform the world through wisdom. We don't really know if this brotherhood actually existed. The idea of a secret enlightened like elite working. Why is who here? He? Who's he? Who's he? We want a name, man. Why is he here? We don't know. Is it Edward Cullen sitting in the corner? Probably. That's I know Edward. Edward. so we don't really know if this group existed. This is just hearsay at this point. But it it said that name of the Illuminated. Okay. But this this idea of a secret, enlightened elite working behind the scenes kind of became the the template for the Illuminati. Right. So this is where we start to s really see this group take shape through other groups. Okay. So now we have the Bavarian Illuminati, which is a real organization. And on May first, 1776. So this is two hundred years later, three hundred years later. Three hundred years later, Adam Wishop, a professor of canon law at the University of Ingoslot. She won't leave in the shadow. Whoa. I feel like there's two ghosties pissed off at each other here. I feel like that's the case. Yeah, it kind of is. One's saying like why is he here? The other one's saying like she won't leave in the sh like what's going on? Who's fighting here? You guys got fighting words. So one's a girl, one's a guy. Yeah. She said why he won't leave. Sh she said in the shadow. And who are you? Or why is he here? Yeah, why is he here? Yeah. And then he said she won't leave. It's hard. It's hard. Okay. It's hard to leave. Okay. That's okay. But who what you guys got names? You want to tell us who you are? Gone. Gone. Who's gone? This is interesting. Is it? Yeah, are you or is the guy Pickle Rick? so he was a professor of canon law in Ingoslat, Bavaria, and founded a secret society he first called the Perfect Billist. Okay. Later known as the Order of the Illuminati. So this this we know before was kind of all this groundwork and like the origins of the Illuminati, and then he actually gave it a name. Wow. He actually was like, This is what it is. He was deeply influenced by Enlightenment, rationalism, and frustrated by power of the Catholic Church. And conservative authorities. Okay. So so far we're learning things that maybe we didn't know. Yeah. Cause this is like, yeah. Right. This is like this is like I I want to be a part of this. I'm frustrated with all of this. This seems like something I want to be a part of. Probably not, but just currently. Redemption. Pamela. Pamela. Whoa. That's a name I've not heard of before. Pamela. I don't know. Okay, Pamela. Hi Pamela. Hi Pamela. There's three. So Pamela, can we get two other names? Whoa. So we we have Pamela and then we have a man and then who's the man Pickle Rick or no? Or yeah. That didn't seem like Picco Rick. No, I think I don't feel like it was either this is interesting. There's three. Pamela. Wow. Hi Pamela. Good luck keeping track of Pamela. Where'd you come from, Pamela? Pamela, Pamela. Pamela! I'm like, do I know any Pam's Pamela? I don't know any Pamela. I used to know a Pam, but she's very much alive. Yeah, I don't know any Pam I like again, I know a I know a Pamela from like high school, but alive. We we think. Well, I saw her at a high school reunion. No. Like she's alive. Anyways. Anywho's. so he wanted a network of educated men who pr who would promote reason, secular governance, and moral improvement and quietly undermine superstition, clerical dominance, and abuses of state power. Saying that off the cuff, yes, that sounds good. Right. But there's a lot of stipulations in there too. Like. Like. They said like. Okay. Hmm. remember you members used special air aliases like Y Shop was Spartacus. Fun. Sing. Do you see our microphones and think that we're gonna sing? Meg, it wants you to sing. Sing it a song. Sing it a song. Believe laugh after love. Like that? Yeah, that was good. Okay. What do you think, Pamela? What do you think? Twenty out of ten. I'm trying to pull up an image here. You guys, this is gonna be out of control. I'm so sorry. We I don't know And sober. Sober. I mean we are with what is it? Twelve thirty eight on a Friday. We're having our first cider. Yeah. We're good. Wild. but you I feel like you guys have If you've listened to our episodes, sometimes it's very chatty, sometimes it's not. This is very this is all really chattery. I chatty. Yeah. My it's my favorite when it was playing drinking games, but that was definitely Pickle Rick. he's yeah, one that was so he was Spartacus and the group c adopted the owl of Minerva as their symbol and you've seen that, like just the the owl that you see in a lot of different things. the Illuminati borrowed heavily from Jesuit discipline and Masonic organizations. The Masonic Temple, the Masonic the Masons were already around at this point. It used the tiered system of degree. There was novice, Minerval, Illuminated Minerval, and higher mystery degrees, each with increasing access to the group's real aims. So when you started out, you weren't exactly aware of what you were getting yourself into. Okay. Which I I hate that. No, that's it. Beyond belief. I hate that. Because you sign yourself up for something you think is like a good thing and then you're Well, honestly, yeah. I might get in trouble for this, but Mormons do that. I mean it's yeah. I remember I mean it's it's learning situations. Learning some things about Mormonism and I grew up in it. And I remember learning some things and being pissed. Yeah. Like I wasn't gonna learn that until I already committed. No. Yeah. That's fucked up. That is fucked up. I was so angry. That to me is like literally gate. that to me is literally what cults do. Is they get you in by promising things or everything looks like it's gonna make you better, it's gonna be really good for you. And then once you're in, then you find out like how fucked up it is. And I hate and then you're already in. You're already fucked. And you already have that psychological control. Uh-huh. And it's and or they have such horror. hands in your personal life huh your professional life huh you can't get out blood I don't like that like a blood bond I don't know going with it never so dangerous to do that well I would never fucking do it I'm just saying people did it bala buttocks buttocks blood buttocks what the fuck that's like ne we've never got that word on here before buttocks who has blood in their buttocks like wow did you Pamela? I'm sorry. Yeah. Interesting con what's going on? I don't know what the fuck is going on right now. Lower level members thought that they were in a moral philosophical improvement improving society type group. And higher degrees were told about like real, like political, anti clerical, that sort of thing. So the more you go, the more it was like, No, we're actually gonna try to infiltrate here and this is what we're gonna try to do. Okay. members were expected to report on each other. Mm-hmm. Uh-huh. And recruits promising young men and recruit promising young men. Energy. Karma and energy. They were asked to recruit promising young men and submit personal information which leadership could use to maintain control. Okay. So we're already controlling. Yeah, and that's sounds like I mean, I've watched a lot of Scientology docum documentaries and like the escaping Scientology. It sounds very much a along the lines We're gonna get as much information on you as possible and then use that as a tool. Yep. And then if you do something wrong, everyone's gonna tell us what like they have people that's what it is. People that like and and if you don't tell and if it's found out that you knew you would get in trouble. Yep, and that's fucked up. 'Cause then it's like every man for themselves at that point. And that is You're not in it together. But I do feel like that is where our society is trying to push us to right now. I do too. Because that's like it's like the whole ice thing. Like tell us where they live. Tell us. Tell us. Tell us. Like what the fuck? That person has the ADHD. The ADHD. my God. Here we go. Here we go. Okay. This is not that, but it just jogged my memory. When I so I had COVID last week and at first I thought it was my autoimmune disease, which is it's called Epstein bar virus, it's chronic Epstein Bar virus, which is chronic mono. And when it flares up really bad, I will be sent into literally having mono where yeah, I'll be out for six weeks with mo like every symptom of mono, like it just reignites in my body and it's horrible. So I was in bed and my daughter comes in and she was like, Mom, okay, I just feel really bad for you. Do you think it's your HIV? And I was like, sorry. Ma'am, wrong. No. Hang on. Wrong three letters. Not HIV. E B V. And she move quickly. Move quickly. But the way she said it was literally like she goes, like it was something like, Yeah, I'm gonna tell them that it's your HIV. And I was like, it's not HIV. Don't Tyler, it is my E B V. And I was like, Don't tell people I'm You just forget all of this. None of us have HIV. And that's it. And I like, How about you just forget all of this? Because I feel like you're gonna fuck this up one time when you're telling people that your mom is sick and be like, Yeah, my mom's sick with I mean, it has three letters. H I V, because no one knows what E B V is. No. But like, I'm like, just forget that you know this. Forget that nope, just say autoimmune. Just autoimmune. Autoimmune. Then she was like, she was dying. We were all Tex and I were crying. We were laughing so hard. was like, traveling. I don't know. but yeah. I was like, it's E B V. E B V, not H I V. I do not have H I V for the record. I do not. I do not. my god, what a mix up. That's a classic classic mix up, you know? Classic. It was like two very, very, very different things. It's like she was like, Yeah, it's like something sick, you you're sick and it can't just go away. And I'm like, Yeah. Not that though. It goes it goes with both, but still not the same. Still not that. Not that. please don't tell people that. Please don't tell people that. So this really compartmentalized like A s like and and created a surveillance structure. Uh-huh. Which if you wanna really just put it into modern modern day lingo, the deep state control. Like that's really what it is. Yeah. The origins of all of that. The order remained small until Y Shop recruited Adolf von Knig. That is a weird name. K-N-I-G-G-E. Nigg. Nigg. I feel like that's I mean it's what kidna You're reading it wouldn't be we know that it was the kid is probably silent. That's true. It's probably nigg. I don't like And that's a that is a name we're saying, by the way, but that's probably what it is. And maybe they've gotten rid of that name now. Maybe for reasons. and this is a charismatic Freemason in the late seventies, seventies. He helped systemize the degree and into the degrees, so like moving up the ladder, he made it into more of a system. And he integrated the Illuminati into the existing Masons. So into the My Masonic Lodge. And he gave the Masons group access to a ready made network of release. So he's like, Hey Masons, you need trusted people that are already whipped into shape. I got Okay. Got him here. So they started working together. And by the early seventeen eighties, estimated membership what'd it say? Did I thought it said dick. Me too. Which Speaking of, my children have taught my youngest to say wiener all the damn time. Like and I think for what like in what reference? Like for mom, the dog's looking his wiener again. Okay, yeah. Who has a wiener? Do you have a wiener? I'm like, can you guys shut? Like all of you, if you say that at school, you're gonna get in trouble. Like you're gonna get in trouble. And then you're gonna get in trouble at home. And then all of your sisters are gonna get in trouble. Like Mom's coming at all of you. I you're all done. You're all done. I mean, it's kind of like whenever my I ask where something is and my youngest says, up your button around the corner. I don't know where she would learn something like that. Like we're And every time I had to get so inappropriate. Literally, we're like trying to get her out the door for school the other morning. And she's like taking her time and just like just being grumpy and whatever. And I was like, Leia, where like what did you just do with your socks? She goes, I don't know. Up your button around the corner. And I was like, and you're done. I was like, say that again. Lost my shit. Yeah, but your sister's the one that told me the whole phrase. What? Up your button around the corner, make a turn, and there's your boner. yeah. That was that was what Yeah, our friends older brothers used to say when we were kids. I never heard that before. I've just heard up your button everybody. That's what happens when you have friends with older brothers. Fair. Yeah. Fair. I had an older brother. That didn't work out well. he's not dead by the way, guys. Just doesn't talk to him 'cause he's a piochette. What? you just said that? It was like an inhale and she said that and it was glorious. A pizza. I was just trying not to say it like flat out. I was try I don't know him personally. I just know I've heard stories. So you know. So there were about two or three thousand, anywhere from a few hundred to two or three thousand people that were a part of the Illuminati at this point. And they were nobles, bureaucrats, and intellectuals intellectuals across German speaking Europe. The group was influential in the courts and universities at this point, but still really geographically limited and they they they They weren't like, you know, a global cabal at this point. They were really in the Bavarian and German speaking areas. Okay. Tensions grew between We Shop, who started this and Kanig. Nig I hate that word. I know. Just call it Kanig because it makes you feel better. Knig over doctrine and control. because like he started it and then he like, we could do this and didn't didn't like that, didn't like where it was go going. And at the same time, conservative Bavarian authorities did not like the rumors that they were hearing about these secret society and moved against secret societies altogether. Mm-hmm. A Bavarian elected official Carl Theodore said that he was gonna ban all secret societies and specifically named the Illuminati. So now it's not so secret, right? Like we know you're here, we know what you're doing, we are banning it. There were police raids, they seized documents, membership lists, and some members were interrogated and or internal papers were published by the government to discredit them. Okay. So they're they're being found out. And by seventeen eighty five the Bavarian Illuminati was a Dismantled. There is no credible evidence that shows that it continued beyond that point. Okay. Historically, it's done. Okay. Or was it? Well, obviously it wasn't. soon. Soon what? So now we're going kind of into the French Revolution and it kind of kind of popped up in France for a little bit there, but not the official Illuminati. And by the 1790s, conservative writers needed an explanation for the collapse of the monarchy and church power in France. And Jesuit priests published a multivolume work arguing that the revolution was orchestrated by a hidden alliance of philosophers, Freemasons, and the Illuminati. Remember, the Illuminati infiltrated the Freemasons at this point? Yes. Which was much more. global. Okay. At this point. It was a lot bigger at this point than the Illuminati was. So around the same time a Scottish Scottish professor published proofs of conspiracy and said that the Illuminati had infiltrated Freemasonry entirely and was behind all the revolutionary upheavals at this point. Okay. In Europe. In Europe. Because we were going through our own revolution, but it hasn't crossed the pond yet. What year is this again? seventeen ninety seven. Okay. So we we had just gone through our own revolution. Yeah. but it's not tied at this point. At this point, not tied. Okay. Now we did have the f I believe we had the Freemasons at this point. I think we did. Or Freemasons and Masons, are they different? I'm not sure. I don't know. Maybe Europe was the Masons and maybe here's the Freemasons. And I always thought the Freemasons and Illuminati were like similar or the same. I know I know a lot of Masons. Or like Do you? Yeah. Family. Family were like really high up in the Masonic Temple. Men, women, all of Jack. Jack. Jack! So Pamela and Jack. I mean, I have Little Diddy. Jack and die. Pamela. Yeah. I have a Jack. I know a Jack. Who died. Who's my grandma's boyfriend? Has kind of a dick. Yeah. Kind of a wiener. Yeah. Dirty. Dirty. Jack's dirty. Chapel. Chapel. Chapel. Dirty Chapel Jack. Dirty Chapel Jack. We have to create a whole character. Yeah. I mean, that's what you said. We're just going off your words, not ours. So obviously we pick up on things fast, right? And the conspiracy crossed the I thought you were saying like we're very cluey. Like we pick up on things like, you no, no. America, the US the value. I was like, I'm kinda slow. The United States. The United States of America. We adopt things quickly. We adopt in the late seventeen nineties New England minister minister Jedediah Morse, who was the father of the guy that came Not as a name Jedediah. Jedediah. But his son actually invented Morse code. Preached sermons. That has nothing to do with the story. It's just he preached sermons warning that the Illuminati had infiltrated the young United States of America and an aim to destroy Christianity and the Republic from within. my God. my God. Witchcraft! Sign me up. All right, Jack. What are we talking about here? Jack and Pamela. Come on. More info. More deep. Who's the third? Who's the third Pamela? What is Pickle Rick's real name? Hang on. Aaron. Starts with P. No, starts with P. Paul. Paul. Paul. Okay. Tell us who the third is. I don't feel like it's Pickle Rick though. Mm. We'll see. Is Pickle Ill. Ill. Ill. Witchcraft to make someone ill. Do we gotta be working on a spell? Witchcraft to help someone who's ill. I like that one more. Pamphlets started circulating saying that the radical democratic clubs and even some founding figures were under Illuminati influence. The radical left. The radic but now I need to remind you that until or like until the nineteen hundreds I want to say it was, Democrats and Republicans flip So like when people say that Like, so Democrats were what Republicans are now? Is that what you're meaning? Yes. Flip flip Flip Okay. Like Republicans now were Democrats. Interesting. So when people say, Well, Abraham Lincoln was a Republican, yeah, he was. But but But also didn't he free slaves and which that is not what our Republicans this day would do. Yeah. And that's what it was. I wanna say until the nineteen twenties or thirties. Interesting. Don't quote me on that. But it was a it was a I didn't know that. Wow. So when people try to use that argument, I always go, Huh, you idiot. And well, it's funny wh how much people will argue about this kind of shit without having any knowledge of it. And like I'm not one who's gonna sit here and argue with people because like I know that I don't know enough factual things. A niece. Niece. Ooh, that went weird. I know it did. I just saw that. The computer went weird, y'all. Yeah. Good. Mies. Mies. France? We'll go to France. I'll go to France. We wee. Baguette. Yeah. Croissant. And that's it. That's the best of our friends, you guys. my god. I really hope we don't have any listeners in France. I'm so sorry. So sorry. Because see, I give you a free pass to mimic us. I think the worst part is that like you guys we've said this before, it's just the two of us sitting in our little studio recording. So we just one of us goes, the other one goes, and we say stupid shit we cannot help. No. It's like it just happens. We are intelligent. Well, one of us is. We are both intelligent. I'm smart, but just not I'm not like book smart like you are. Mm. Street smart. I am though. I'm different. We have different We have different different. We are like I very knowledgeable and intelligent in different ways and different things and you are in different like It's very different. We are both very different. I'm I'm happy. Yeah, but when it comes to like book smarts, that kind of thing, like no, I don't I don't remember dates. I don't remember like I was actually really worried that you would find this episode really, really boring. Why? praise, praise Praise sweet baby Jesus. why just because of all the history. It's just a lot of hist I love it. I'm eating it all up. I love it. And I'm just talking to my ghost friend too. Don't worry, we're gonna get into the more like We fucking better. We we will. Otherwise, I'll kill you. Leonard Nemoy. Huh? The clown has no penis. Continue. It's from Step Brothers. Who's Leonard Demourne? I have no idea. We've talked about this before. We've done this exact thing on air. Have we? Spock. yeah, you and you told me that. Live long and prosper. George Washington wrote letters acknowledging he had heard of the Illuminati, but believed Masonic lodges in America were not infected. Now they're saying infected. letters later, cherry-picked by conspiracy theories. Cherry picked. Is that a line? were were quote proof that the Illum Illuminati was real and active. Okay. So they're saying that he was a part of it. And that his letters reflected that. So he was just like he was saying that He was saying that they're not here. That the Freemasons are Freemasons. He like throwing off the scent. That's what this that's what they say. I mean, I feel like that adds up. So then we get into the nineteenth and early twentieth century, and that kind of merges like this new world order idea, but it also merges things that aren't very good. Okay. so in the nineteenth century, the narrative about secret elites began to kind of become more of an take on anti-Semitic tropes, which we knew this was coming, right? Of course. And it forged texts like Protocols of the Elders of Zion. Mm-hmm. Mm-hmm. And it claimed that Jewish leaders secretly plotted world domination through control of finance, media, and politics. And even though the protocols were exposed as a hoax They were widely circulated and used in anti-Semitic and Fascist movements. Okay. Writers started swapping labels like the Elders of Zion, International Bankers, and the Illuminati. They started putting like they they kind of became interchangeable villains in this conspiracy. Okay. So in writing, in the papers, in stuff like that, it was Elders of Zion, international bankers, and the Illuminati were all interchangeable. Okay. So the banking family, like, they were Jewish. Like you have the Rothschilds and they were a prominent Jewish banking dynasty and they became a central c target. Conspiracy narratives claimed that the Rothschilds secretly owned or controlled central banks worldwide and used them to manipulate wars, revolutions, and iconomies as part of an Illuminati style plan. Now this is still circulating and I see your face there. I see. I was about to Isn't it the Rothschilds who allegedly like hunted people? Well that yes. Like would have actual hunting parties where they would send children out. Weren't they the ones who had a hand in dismantling our medical system and making it what it is now? And that's fact. That's not alleged. The the pharmaceuticals. Yes. They're the ones who literally got rid of all of the So I think from here on out we're gonna get into a lot of The the shit that is kind of scary. It's like the shit that we talk about when we're like, this is conspiracy. Chapel Rone? I that's I don't think so. Chapel? but where it, you know, it's conspiracy, but also like too many things in conspiracy have started to come out as truth and it's kind of fucking terrifying. Now to equate that with anti Semitism, I have a problem with because anybody, anybody, I don't care what your background is. can be quote good or bad. A thousand percent. And it doesn't have anything to do with what your belief like what your like what your religion is. Yeah. Basically. I I have a hard time calling anything anti-Semitic if you disagree with certain things that have nothing to do with the religion. It says love. Love. I love. Well it said tap, then it's a love. I don't know. Tap. Love tap? Love tap. Keys. This thing is chatty today. What are you talking about? Can you put it all together in something that we could understand? Yeah. You're not giving us like good sentences. Right. Tap love keys. Tap love keys. so there's a lot saying that these claims are false and that most central banks are public institutions. the Rothschilds operated private financial companies, not owners of national monetary systems. However, there's also a lot of but really? Yeah. But really, because who owns the banks? There's like if you own the banks, you pretty much own everything. Like we're dealing with that right now on a on a completely different scale. Let's look at all of the rental houses that are going up. Houses are being bought by primarily one central company. Uhhuh. And then the they control the banks. So they're getting like zero percent interest loans, renting these houses out for a crazy amount. Insane. Owning those houses after ten years and then it's all profit. Yeah. So If you start reaching, you can kind of start digging up some truth. And I don't know who owns those banks or who owns these companies or who owns private equity and the you could you could really stretch this into a bunch of different scenarios. But is it stretched? You could reach this into a bunch of different scenarios. Okay. By the late 19th and early twentieth centuries, some religious and political writers were already talking about a coming one world government or new world order, which we've heard about this our entire lives. This is nothing new. And this was something run by secret elites. Christian groups tied this to bib biblical prophecies of an antichrist. Secular conspiracy writers tied it to bankers. So it's like Mm-mm, basically anybody at this point, right? Yeah. Freemasons and they tied it to Bakers and then they tied it to Freemasons and the Illuminati. These streams of different who who's doing it eventually merged into a modern New World Order conspiracy theory where the Illuminati are often the brand name of this elitist cabal pulling the strings. Okay. Put that into modern day words and What do we got? What do we got? What? Shmeffri. Mmm. During the Cold War, there were some far right and fundamental Christian groups that argued that communism, capitalism, the United Nations, and decolon colonizations were all secretly orchestrated by the same hidden elite. Which is strange. Because now you look at fundamentalist Christian groups. Uh-huh. And it's almost like they're covering up all that shit that they used to disagree with. Weird. What are you talking about? Weird. It is weird. the Illuminati became a convenient label for this qu kind of like hidden hand controlling everything. And authors like Nesta Webster's and others claim that the revolutionists from e seventeen eighty nine onward were steps in a long Illuminati plan to destroy Christian civilization and establish a godless world state. The narratives were often explicitly anti-Semitic or used globalist and international banker as code. So now just like pop your head off at this point because it's all connected. And If it is all connected and everything we're seeing going on right now means that they infiltrated the very group that was trying to stop them. Which I fully believe. Looks like a duck, sounds like a duck. Quack. Walks like a duck. It's a fucking duck. Is it a duck? I think it I think they're ducks. It a duck. I think it's a fucking duck. But so they're they're literally Can you hear? I can hear. Can you hear? I can hear too. I do have a gut about something came to me about who this could possibly be. And I don't wanna say it just because it's a sensitive well, it's someone who I know very well who lost a child, but Undoubtedly. Undoubtedly. Their mom just tore their hamstring yesterday and commented on one of my videos that like she hurt her butt. Like she ripped her she like made a joke about it on my video. the mom did. And because buttox is a very weird thing. And then there's been a few other things that were said, and it makes me want to look up the name Pamela, but also like there's just a some and I was sitting here and I was like. It just you know, like things that the things that connect, but also like intuition and like whatever and just I Interesting. And then yeah, I don't know. I'm just waiting to see what else comes out, but I don't know for sure that it would be I don't know. Just sitting with it. That is interesting. Because weird and very specific. And very specific. And then it was like a few other things were said and then it just it like came in my head that it was this person and I was like, could it be? And then I don't know. We're gonna see. Anyways. I got my own thing going occasionally, guys. So sometimes. so around this same time, occult subcultures started getting more interest in secret society. Yeah. And some writers started blending the Illuminati with like theosophy and ceremonial magic and UFO lore and suggested that all of these hidden things or were actually tied to non human intelligence and they were guiding human evolution through secret orders. So that started coming into it. Like this literally reaches into every every little bucket that's going on. Yeah. This is when you start to see the Illuminati framed as not just like political, but magicians, Satanists, guardians of for forbidden knowledge. And then that's kind of when like the satanic Illuminati started coming out. Mm-hmm. In the nineteen sixties, the Discordian movement, which was a kind of like prank, chaos worshipping fake pseudo religion, decided to play with conspiracy culture. And writers started seeding contradictory stories about the Illuminati into letters, zines, and underground culture to kind of as a social experience. Kimberly All right, Kimberly Hmm. Not sure on that one. So so far we have Pamela, Kimberly, and Jack. What no, was it Jack? Jack. Jack. Yeah. Interesting. But it's almost like they went, all right, Kimberly. We have three people. But that's three people it's given us now. None of those are the names of the person, but I'm also like, hmm. Cure I mean Interesting. Kimberly. Hmm. So they started to do this as like a social experience a social experiment to see how fast a fake conspiracy could s could spread. Mm-hmm. And they published a nodal a novel, the Illuminatist trilogy, and it matched together real stuff, like real history, occultism, sex, drugs, and every conspiracy trope that you could find from the Bavarian Illuminati, Freemasons, Nazis, UFOs, Atlantis into a sat satire comic. Basically. Okay. And the joke was that everything is connected and nothing was reliable, but many readers took it seriously. And the book became a fundamental text for modern Illuminati lore lore, which I think is hilarious. Wow. I I think that is just wild. Yeah. Around the same time, what does it say? Punished. Punished. Around the same time, conspiracy writers began fixating on symbols. Like the eye of Providence, which is the eye in the triangle, like on the dollar bill. Mm-hmm. pyramids, pentagrams, and goats. Historically the eye symbolized God's watchful I need this. I need this. It symbolized God watching over at at the time Christians. Okay. which they put as God watching over the Illuminati. And the Bavarian Illuminati did not use the eye in the pyramid as their emblem, but today we very much associate it with the Illuminati. Thousand percent, yeah. So that's interesting. That is. By the late twentieth century the New World Order conspiracy theory had become kind of a catch all. The idea that there was a secret cobal, often labeled the Illuminati Illuminati That was orchestrating wars, economic stress, pandemics, and political changes to create a sing single authoritarian world government was completely known by everybody at this point. Everything from the European Union to the United Nations, from gun control laws to environmental treaties, was interpreted as being a step towards the New World Order. Which I have heard that and I it just It's very hard to be like that's not happening right now when we're seeing everything that's going on. Mm-hmm. the theory draws on both Christian prophecy, like the Antichrist, Mark of the Beast, and political like turbulence linked towards real world extremism and violence. So everything they're saying could be linked to that one new world order. But then you have people going in there and making things up. Intentionally to see what will catch fire and putting doubt into it. So were they c putting doubt into it to try to get it? What do you mean by that? Like when they were publishing those books and zines and stuff, like trying to like as a a social experiment where they made up a bunch of stuff, that one group. yes. So you have that, which I mean it's like like witchcraft or like like natural remedies for things. Right. Where the Rothschilds literally went like, no. No, that's all fake. Like how dare you and took over all of that. So you're putting doubt into things that are true and making people who believe those things no, you're crazy. U authology. Like the same thing. Yeah. It's all the same thing. In the nineteen nineties, US militia movements and anti government activists claimed that unmarked blacked helicopters, secret FEMA camps, and international troops were being prepared to round up Sometimes it's Round up opposition. When the ill when the New World Order or the Illuminati went live. So this at this point the Illuminati and the New World Order were one. What did it say? It said sometimes in Find Me. I you got if you're playing hide and seek, I got bad news. You're a ghosty and like it's hard to see you unless you really want to show yourself. But I feel like Do it would lose our shed. Kno knock some shit off the shelves. Here we go. Just do something. Knock shit off the shelf. Turn off our light. Do something. No don't fuck with our recording equipment though, please. That's that's off. Yeah, don't do that. So at this point, gun control measures, ID cards, microchips, digital surveillance surveillance were all being used as tools of the Illuminati to track and control the population. Weird. So this doesn't sound like anything that's happening right now. Right. Things like this literally are what caused things like the Ruby Ridge incident and Waco and online conspiracies. And it just it created an environment. That really thrived in our society. What, the rumor that thrived or that It created real world situations. Yeah, he won't leave. He won't leave. So something does no one likes Jack. No one likes Jack. So there were actual meetings going on during this time, like Bilderberg Group, Trilateral Commission and the World Economic Forum that became focal points. And these were actual meetings where they were discussing political and business academic leaders, discuss gold global issues, but conspiracy theorists portray them as Illuminati summits where real world events were scripted. Okay. So all these things are happening and I kind of vaguely remember all of this being like in the information sphere at the time in the late nineties. Like, but I was I was a kid. I was twelve, you know, so I wasn't really paying attention. But then after nine eleven attacks, conspiracy theories exploded online because you you had these horrible attacks. The internet was starting to really take shape. Some claim that nine eleven was an inside job orchestrated by the US government or the Illuminati to justify wars, expand surveillance, and move Closer to that police state new world order. Mm-hmm. The Illuminati label became shorthand for any hidden power behind attacks. So symbol hunters pointed to numerology, architecture, and the design of the Pentagon as evidence of Illuminati involvement, which reinforced the idea that nothing catastrophic ever happens without the Cabal's approval. Damn. And you and I both know that there are some truths to conspiracies. There's always some level of truth. There's something. I I think I struggle because I hate to think like for the people who were in nine eleven lost their lives in nine eleven, like nine eleven was such a fucking traumatic event for our country and horrific that to those conspiracy theories are ones that like obviously I've heard about. Mm-hmm. And I've seen it's very hard to want to even touch them with a ten foot pole because it is so sensitive. Everybody has a personal story related. And that is like but at the same time. But was that orchestrated? Was that intent? Right. And that is like I don't think anybody is lying that it happened. It's just who was in charge. Who, what, and when. Mm-hmm. And that's the part that makes you start to question like Everything. I mean there's a lot of things that make you question it. Like the flock cameras around right now and everything that you're saying and I'm just like them off every chance I got. I don't I haven't even paid attention to see them. They're all around Lowe's. Are they? All around. Wait, inside of Lowe's? No, all around the that area. They're all around our town. They're everywhere. Doug was pointing them out one day. I haven't even paid attention, but so many of them and I just flip on. I just watched this guy get arrested because somewhere in Texas, like the police station there said that they were getting rid of all the flock cameras. They want to do their own surveillance system. and he I guess. Yes, and he went out and got all of them. And you made a video of him collecting all the flock cameras and then they arrested him. But also I'm like, you go, sir. Like you go, sir. Like I mean. You got nothing to lose. Whatever. Well at this point I think we're gonna pause because then we're gonna now we're gonna get into more modern day okay modern day old. Which I've been very excited about. Yes. This is this is gonna be more your jam. This is I mean it's but also with this I agree with you. We need the history of where it came from or like I mean to see Pilot. Pilot. Okay. I know a lot of pilots. Me too. My dad was one. But I don't think that's him here. what we need the background of where this came from, even though it is a very skimmed over version because like you said, it goes so fucking the whole thing goes so deep. So deep. So deep. Like I mean, like I said, there could be a whole podcast every week where we talk about a different facet of the Illuminati, the New World Order, all of this shit. Which we're not gonna do that. No. Mm mm. I can't live in this world for too long. I think it's very hard to bean like this world of conspiracy. Well, 'cause it makes your brain like it's it's and it's terrifying. And it makes you question everything. And it's scary. And you I agree with a lot of conspiracy theories that they're real, but also like I can't fixate on because like what I have to live my life and the life I we have no control over that. Like what are supposed to do? Right. Which is what's wild. Like to I know you have to feel very out of control of like But then you have to control what you can. Yeah, and that's it. And I control my fucking mental health and my Peace and my children and keeping them close and yeah, people I love and that's all I can do at this point. Sleeping sleeping. I'm trying to control sleeping. That's not going well for me. I love sleep. Me too. When I get it. Yeah, it's I did sleep until I woke up at five fifteen on my own this morning and I was like, Well, that's better than three AM. Mm-hmm. I'll be up at five fifteen, not three AM. Yeah. Which is the standard. Yeah, I hate it. I hate it. I hate it. I know. Getting old. Perimenopausal. We're all the shit. All right, you guys. Well, next week. Next week we're going to part two. Part two. And let us know if you have any input on our you know, Halloween costumes because that is we we need input. And also, if you have any thoughts about what we talked about up until this moment. Yeah, let us know. And Make sure you go and get yourself some lunatic soup. And remember in this crazy world I think we're all fucking lunatics. We really are. And it's better to be that than the normies. Sure fucking is. Bye.
