- 0:10Speaker 1: you'll get $ 150 in lineups instantly. Okay, so a week ago,
- 0:15Speaker 1: Florida's offensive line looked like one of the strengths of
- 0:17Speaker 1: this football team. We've been talking about it all beginning
- 0:20Speaker 1: of the season, first month of the season, how good
- 0:22Speaker 1: it looked. Against Ole Miss, the Gators ran for more
- 0:24Speaker 1: than 300 yards. They controlled the line of scrimmage, and
- 0:27Speaker 1: they looked like a team that could physically impose itself
- 0:30Speaker 1: on just about anybody. Then they went to Missouri, and
- 0:33Speaker 1: suddenly it looked like a completely different group. The run
- 0:35Speaker 1: game never really got comfortable. Aaron Filo was under more pressure.
- 0:39Speaker 1: Florida spent too much time behind the chains. And the
- 0:42Speaker 1: offensive identity that looked so clear against Ole Miss disappeared.
- 0:46Speaker 1: So today I want to talk about what happened to
- 0:48Speaker 1: Florida's offensive line. Was Missouri just a bad matchup? Was
- 0:52Speaker 1: it poor execution? Was it scheme? Was it communication? Or
- 0:55Speaker 1: did Missouri just show something that other teams are now
- 0:59Speaker 1: unfortunately going to copy? If Florida wants to get this
- 1:02Speaker 1: season back on track, fixing the offensive line has to
- 1:04Speaker 1: be near the top of the list. First, let's remember
- 1:07Speaker 1: what this group looked like against Ole Miss. And I
- 1:10Speaker 1: think that's why I'm not ready to panic. Florida didn't
- 1:12Speaker 1: accidentally run for 302 yards against Ole Miss. That was
- 1:15Speaker 1: a dominant performance. The offensive line got movement. They played
- 1:19Speaker 1: with leverage. They created creases. They let Jaden Baugh and
- 1:22Speaker 1: the backs get downhill. And once that happened, the rest
- 1:26Speaker 1: of the offense opened up. And that's what this Florida
- 1:28Speaker 1: offense is supposed to look like. The run game creates
- 1:31Speaker 1: the rhythm. The run game helps Aaron Filo. The run
- 1:35Speaker 1: game forces defenses to commit extra bodies to the box.
- 1:38Speaker 1: And once they do that, everything else becomes easier. Play action,
- 1:42Speaker 1: intermediate throws, shots down the field. Florida looked balanced because
- 1:47Speaker 1: the offensive line gave them that balance. Against Ole Miss,
- 1:50Speaker 1: they never really got there. One of the biggest differences
- 1:54Speaker 1: was that Missouri did not let Florida get comfortable up front.
- 1:57Speaker 1: They attacked. They got penetration. They disrupted plays before they
- 2:01Speaker 1: could really develop. And when you do that to a
- 2:03Speaker 1: run-first offense, it changes everything because a run play that
- 2:07Speaker 1: is supposed to hit for four or five yards becomes
- 2:09Speaker 1: one yard or no gain or a loss. Now it's
- 2:12Speaker 1: second and long. Now the defense knows that you are
- 2:15Speaker 1: more likely to throw. Now the pass rush can be
- 2:18Speaker 1: more aggressive. And now Aaron Filo is operating in a
- 2:20Speaker 1: much tougher environment. That is a domino effect. And Missouri
- 2:25Speaker 1: kept forcing Florida into those situations. The run game really
- 2:29Speaker 1: never found a rhythm, and I think that is the
- 2:31Speaker 1: biggest thing. Florida never really made Missouri feel the run game.
- 2:35Speaker 1: Against Ole Miss, every carry seemed to build on the
- 2:38Speaker 1: last one. you could see the defense wearing down. Florida
- 2:41Speaker 1: got more confident. The backs got more comfortable. The offensive
- 2:44Speaker 1: line started playing downhill. And at Missouri, that never happened.
- 2:48Speaker 1: Florida was constantly trying to restart the offense. There was
- 2:51Speaker 1: no real rhythm. And once that happened, Missouri could dictate
- 2:55Speaker 1: the game instead of Florida. And that's a huge difference.
- 2:58Speaker 1: Florida is not at its best when it has to
- 3:00Speaker 1: become a dropback passing team. That It's not an insult
- 3:04Speaker 1: to Aaron Filo. It's just not what this offense is
- 3:06Speaker 1: built around. This offense wants balance and balance starts up front.
- 3:11Speaker 1: Another thing that stood out to me was how often
- 3:13Speaker 1: Florida looked uncomfortable against pressure. That can be physical, but
- 3:17Speaker 1: it can also be communication. Who are we blocking? Who
- 3:20Speaker 1: is the mic? How are we handling movement? Who are
- 3:24Speaker 1: we passing off stunts and how? Those are the little
- 3:27Speaker 1: things that become huge when a defensive front is attacking you.
- 3:31Speaker 1: And Missouri made Florida think. That's usually what good defenses
- 3:35Speaker 1: want to do. They don't have to win every matchup
- 3:37Speaker 1: physically if they can make you hesitate. We're going to
- 3:40Speaker 1: take a quick break from this video to give some
- 3:42Speaker 1: love to Alumni Hall. Alumni Hall has all the best

- 4:43Speaker 1: We really appreciate Alumni Hall for all their support. Make
- 4:46Speaker 1: sure you tell them Allie sent you. Happy shopping, guys.
- 4:49Speaker 1: A half a second late on a combination block can
- 4:51Speaker 1: kill a run play. One missed communication in pass protection
- 4:55Speaker 1: can get the quarterback hit. And Florida looked like a
- 4:58Speaker 1: group that was thinking too much instead of just firing
- 5:01Speaker 1: off the football. This is the part that Florida has
- 5:04Speaker 1: to answer this week. Was it a physical problem? If
- 5:08Speaker 1: it was just scheme and communication, I think that's fixable.
- 5:11Speaker 1: If it was just a bad day, that's fixable too.
- 5:14Speaker 1: But if Missouri physically beat Florida up front, that is
- 5:17Speaker 1: a bigger concern. And I think there were moments when
- 5:20Speaker 1: that happened. Florida did not consistently create movement. They got
- 5:25Speaker 1: knocked backward at times. The pocket compressed. The line of
- 5:28Speaker 1: scrimmage did not belong to Florida. That is what makes
- 5:31Speaker 1: this such an important week for the offensive line. South
- 5:34Speaker 1: Carolina is going to test them. They should. Every team
- 5:37Speaker 1: on Florida's schedule is going to watch the Missouri tape.
- 5:39Speaker 1: Every single team is going to say, let's see if
- 5:42Speaker 1: we can do the same thing they did. That's how
- 5:44Speaker 1: college football works. Once somebody finds a weakness, you see
- 5:47Speaker 1: it again until you prove that it's fixed. This affected
- 5:51Speaker 1: Aaron Filo, I think, more than people realize. A lot
- 5:54Speaker 1: of people are going to look at the quarterback whenever
- 5:56Speaker 1: the offense struggles. That comes with the positions. But I
- 5:59Speaker 1: think people have to understand how much the offensive line
- 6:02Speaker 1: changes what Florida asks Philo to do. When Florida is
- 6:05Speaker 1: running the ball well, Philo gets favorable situations. He can
- 6:09Speaker 1: use play action. He gets second and medium instead of
- 6:11Speaker 1: second and 12. He gets third and three instead of
- 6:13Speaker 1: third and eight. The defense has to respect the run.
- 6:16Speaker 1: That creates cleaner windows. Against Missouri, too many of those
- 6:19Speaker 1: advantages disappeared. So yes, I think Philo could have played better.
- 6:24Speaker 1: That was not his best game as a Gator. But
- 6:26Speaker 1: the offensive line made his job a lot harder. And
- 6:28Speaker 1: that's why fixing the line fixes more than just the
- 6:31Speaker 1: run game. It helps the quarterback. It helps the receivers.
- 6:34Speaker 1: It helps the play callers. It helps the entire offense.
- 6:38Speaker 1: Florida can't abandon its identity. And this is important. After
- 6:43Speaker 1: a game like Missouri, I don't want Florida overreacting and
- 6:46Speaker 1: then suddenly trying to become something else. Keep running the football.
- 6:49Speaker 1: Keep leaning on Jaden Bach. Keep forcing the offensive line
- 6:52Speaker 1: to answer the challenge. If Florida abandons the run because
- 6:55Speaker 1: one game went poorly, then Missouri really did beat them twice.
- 6:59Speaker 1: This is still a team built to play physical football.
- 7:02Speaker 1: So go prove it. Come out against South Carolina and
- 7:05Speaker 1: run it. Make that front defend you. Make your offensive
- 7:09Speaker 1: line reestablish confidence. There is no shortcut. The only way
- 7:13Speaker 1: to rebuild that identity is to go out and do
- 7:15Speaker 1: it again. I want to see Florida get movement on
- 7:19Speaker 1: first down against South Carolina. I want to see fewer
- 7:22Speaker 1: negative plays. I want to see cleaner protection. I want
- 7:24Speaker 1: to see the offensive line communicating better against pressure. I
- 7:28Speaker 1: want to see Jaden Bogg getting downhill early. And most
- 7:31Speaker 1: of all, I want to see Florida dictate the game.
- 7:34Speaker 1: That's what was missing against Missouri. Florida was reacting the
- 7:38Speaker 1: entire time. They were responding to what Missouri was doing.
- 7:41Speaker 1: They were never really controlling the tempo or the physicality
- 7:44Speaker 1: of the game. Against South Carolina, I want that flipped.
- 7:49Speaker 1: So what happened? Honestly, I don't think there's one answer.
- 7:53Speaker 1: I think it was probably a little bit of everything.
- 7:55Speaker 1: Missouri had a good plan. Florida did not execute well enough.
- 7:59Speaker 1: The offensive line struggled physically. There were some communication issues.
- 8:02Speaker 1: The run game never found rhythm. And once Florida got
- 8:05Speaker 1: behind the chains, the whole offense became harder to operate.
- 8:09Speaker 1: But I don't think one bad game means this offensive
- 8:12Speaker 1: line is suddenly bad. We have already seen what this
- 8:14Speaker 1: group can do. The question now is whether Missouri was
- 8:17Speaker 1: an exception or whether it was the beginning of a pattern.
- 8:21Speaker 1: This week is where we're going to get that answer.
- 8:23Speaker 1: Florida's offensive line should take what happened at Missouri incredibly personally. Now,
- 8:30Speaker 1: not emotionally, though. Personally. If you want to be the
- 8:34Speaker 1: identity of this football team, then this is the week
- 8:37Speaker 1: to go prove it. Go get movement. Protect your quarterback.
- 8:41Speaker 1: Let the run game breathe. Get back to playing downhill.
- 8:45Speaker 1: Because when Florida controls the line of scrimmage, this offense
- 8:48Speaker 1: looks completely different. We saw that against Ole Miss. We
- 8:52Speaker 1: saw the opposite against Missouri. We want to know which
- 8:57Speaker 1: version of this team is real and authentic. I think
- 9:01Speaker 1: we're going to get some answers on Saturday. If this
- 9:04Speaker 1: team rebounds against South Carolina, if this offensive line is
- 9:07Speaker 1: physical again, I think we can chalk it up to
- 9:09Speaker 1: a bad game. And we learn from those mistakes and
- 9:12Speaker 1: we move forward. If Florida gets pushed around two weeks
- 9:15Speaker 1: in a row, it means the problem is bigger than
- 9:17Speaker 1: we realized. And we've got some serious work to do.
- 9:21Speaker 1: I appreciate you guys tuning in as always. And a
- 9:24Speaker 1: big thank you to PrizePix. Don't forget to download the app.
