  [SPEAKER_00]: Do I think if they had to go play a football game today, that they'd be good enough?

  [SPEAKER_00]: While I think the Jaguar's offense needs help, I do still think it's good enough to go score a fair amount of points, a good amount of points, on most teams.

  [SPEAKER_00]: But being able to score a fair amount or a good amount of points mid-20s on most teams, is that the goal?

  [SPEAKER_00]: or is having a superbowl caliber offense, the goal.

  [SPEAKER_00]: What makes a superbowl caliber offense?

  [SPEAKER_00]: Again, a defense in special teams helps out a lot, right?

  [SPEAKER_00]: But just looking at the offense, I definitely think there's some areas that would make me more confident in saying that this can be a superbowl caliber offense.

  [SPEAKER_00]: If they were able to find some different upgrades and build some rooms out a little bit better.

  [SPEAKER_00]: And really, they were good enough to score on the Buffalo Bills, a couple of unfortunate turnovers and in my opinion, not sticking with the run quite enough.

  [SPEAKER_00]: These are the things that kind of led to the Jaguars losing to the bills, but you saw them score on good defenses throughout the 20-25 campaign.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Particularly, I'm in going up to Denver, out to Denver, whatever you wanna say, and doing what they did against that Broncos defense, that was dad gum impressive.

  [SPEAKER_00]: I mean, it really was.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Looking at the position groups, the offensive line.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Anton Harrison is your most talented player.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Robert Hainesy at Center is a consistent guy that at least from a communication and understanding the assignment and getting everybody kind of lined up how they're supposed to line up.

  [SPEAKER_00]: I think that he's a player that helps in that regard.

  [SPEAKER_00]: I think Ezra Cleveland was very good.

  [SPEAKER_00]: I think Colvin Lannon was very good.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Patrick McCary, who I think played better down the stretch, but he played most of the season injured.

  [SPEAKER_00]: So, I think you could definitely point to that being the biggest question mark in the starting lineup right now, but you've also got some young depth guys that you like and why I buy them.

  [SPEAKER_00]: in Joan of Monheim, and maybe they can eventually be sealing razors?

  [SPEAKER_00]: We don't know.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Like, can Joan of Monheim and his athleticism and his experience playing all sorts of different spots on the offensive line?

  [SPEAKER_00]: Could he eventually be a better offensive line and a better center in this system than Robert Hainesy?

  [SPEAKER_00]: Maybe, that's possible for sure.

  [SPEAKER_00]: You know why at myelum could he be a ceiling razor at guard potentially I think so but it's kind of yet to be seen we don't know exactly how those things are going to turn out and then You've got Walker little who's obviously a very good back up and tumma adoga who I think If you're going to raise the floor of the jackwars offensive line I think Probably replacing tumma adoga with somebody you're a little bit more confident in

  [SPEAKER_00]: And they do have a team out on Chuma Doge's contract.

  [SPEAKER_00]: They could save almost $3 million by moving on from Chuma Doge this off season.

  [SPEAKER_00]: And I think they could do that.

  [SPEAKER_00]: If they're able to find an offensive lineman in the draft that they really like, the complete guard, can play tackle, maybe both.

  [SPEAKER_00]: So that's where I'm at with the offensive line.

  [SPEAKER_00]: I think it's good.

  [SPEAKER_00]: I think it's well-coached, I think it's smart.

  [SPEAKER_00]: You have one really top level type of talent in Anton Harrison and the rest of the guys were just like, you know, Lee average starting to above average, slightly above average, Colvane Land and maybe he can be a ceiling razor, the way he was playing.

  [SPEAKER_00]: I mean, he was raising the ceiling, the way he was playing.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Can I project him to play that way, moving forward?

  [SPEAKER_00]: I've never seen that before at a Cold Van Landon.

  [SPEAKER_00]: He's also never been given the opportunity to do that before.

  [SPEAKER_00]: So it's an interesting question with him.

  [SPEAKER_00]: The Jaguar is obviously our botan on Cold Van Landon for at least the next couple years.

  [SPEAKER_00]: So maybe everybody else should be, too.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Quarterback obviously very good.

  [SPEAKER_00]: What can Trevor Lawrence improve on this year just without even looking at anything around him?

  [SPEAKER_00]: Obviously, they did get better at this, but getting the call in quickly and that's like the communication between the Quarterback and the coach getting to the line of scrimmage and not having to feel like you don't have enough time to get the snap-off He grew in just about every other area in my mind this past year and did a really good job So quarterback very good top three receivers very good

  [SPEAKER_00]: Talk about Jacobi and Parker and BTJ, and then you also throw Travis Hunter in there at times.

  [SPEAKER_00]: The running back room, very good in my opinion, and my, I keep saying in my opinion, I can stop saying in my opinion.

  [SPEAKER_00]: I think the running back room is very good.

  [SPEAKER_00]: I think they actually found a way to get more versatile in the run game.

  [SPEAKER_00]: I think they might be as much as that pains me to say about, you know, Travis HN, Chris Rodriguez just provides something that he did not, and that's power, vision, a little bit better patience, a little bit more in between the tackles, just skill, and you look at it, I think

  [SPEAKER_00]: Two of them are on the Los Angeles Rams.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Two of them are now on the Jacksonville Jaguars with Grace Rodriguez and Bacial Tutan.

  [SPEAKER_00]: So I started the show saying, the Jaguars offense needs help.

  [SPEAKER_00]: I've been talking a lot about how good I think this offense is and on top of all that stuff, I think that they're extremely well coached and they're going into your two of a system.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Last year it was all fresh, it was all brand new.

  [SPEAKER_00]: This year, a lot of these guys coming back, a lot of these guys going into year two of the system.

  [SPEAKER_00]: For some of them that were with Liam Cohen before, it's really more like year three.

  [SPEAKER_00]: But, there's a lot to like.

  [SPEAKER_00]: And again, I said, I think that the jag wars against most teams and most situations would be able to have the type of offensive performance that you're looking forward to when a football game.

  [SPEAKER_00]: But you need to be able to do that against the very best teams in the very biggest moments in January and February.

  [SPEAKER_00]: And I think that there are some ways they can get to a better point, a better

  [SPEAKER_00]: overall unit on the offensive side of the ball beyond what we just talked about.

  [SPEAKER_00]: There was a team out, but they've moved some money around so we can make sure that if there's a team out after 20s-26 or not.

  [SPEAKER_00]: So yeah, there's a little bit of a team out for the Jack Wars following the 2026 season with Robert Hainesy, $3.9 million in cap savings if they decided to move on from Robert Hainesy.

  [SPEAKER_00]: He could end up being a better overall center than Robert Hainesy.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Maybe at guard, maybe why am I a little maybe as I mentioned yesterday, somebody like a Chase Pissante or somebody else, they really value you falls into their laps at 56 or somewhere else.

  [SPEAKER_00]: If you went and got somebody who has a similar skill set to Britain's Strange and you have both of those guys out there on the field at the same time, you don't know whether they're looking to crack your linebacker or absolutely rock your, you know, safety or corner or go out and be an effective receiver.

  [SPEAKER_00]: You know, I'm thinking Jack Andries, I'm thinking Sam Rauch who's not as effective as a receiver, but still, you know, he could basically be a

  [SPEAKER_00]: At a Michigan, I love his game too.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Oscar Delp could be available a little bit later.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Titan two in my opinion needs to be a priority.

  [SPEAKER_00]: And that's not because I don't like Quentin Morse because I think that he should be your Titan three.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Britain Strange should be your Titan one.

  [SPEAKER_00]: And then you find that Titan two that has that balanced game and also has the mindset like Britain Strange.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Like even though Britain Strange is a very good receiver, he wants to kick your butt in the wrong game.

  [SPEAKER_00]: And if you can find somebody else like that,

  [SPEAKER_00]: Like, one of those guys I just mentioned, I think you'd be in a really good spot to help.

  [SPEAKER_00]: On a given week, be able to say, this week, we could be a heavy 11 person L team, which Stack Wars were a lot of heavy 11 person L last year.

  [SPEAKER_00]: I think just due to the personnel that they had, but you know, 11 person L getting three wide receivers out there with Britain's strange and one running back.

  [SPEAKER_00]: I think that that's great, but you can also shift to being a heavy 12-person L team one week, which teams did that against the Jaguars and had some success.

  [SPEAKER_00]: If you have a better tie-in too, same thing, even 13, like getting Quentin Morris out there, or Hunter Long at this point, he's still in the roster.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I think that tied in two needs to be a priority.

  [SPEAKER_00]: And I think that's something that can help level the Jaguar's offense up in a big way.

  [SPEAKER_00]: And level them up every single week, but also in a specific game plan week.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Like, if you can dictate to the defense that they have to come out in this jumbo personnel, but then you have two tied ends that are difficult covers against that jumbo personnel, you start to see how that kind of works.

  [SPEAKER_00]: how do they get that situation working better?

  [SPEAKER_00]: Because as much as I want Travis Hunter to be a full-time corner, which I do, I still would like to see him on the offensive side of the ball.

  [SPEAKER_00]: So I don't think that they figured out that balance very well in year one.

  [SPEAKER_00]: It was obviously a fluid situation.

  [SPEAKER_00]: They were working to try to get it figured out.

  [SPEAKER_00]: The balance, all that stuff, and you don't want to put him at risk of getting injured, any more than he needs to be.

  [SPEAKER_00]: If he's on the offense, who knows?

  [SPEAKER_00]: 15 snaps a game, 20 snaps a game.

  [SPEAKER_00]: That's enough as a wide receiver for.

  [SPEAKER_00]: You're not gonna have a wide receiver for out there that much more than that.

  [SPEAKER_00]: But if he's out there even less than that, you need somebody else, like Tim Patrick's not on the football team right now.

  [SPEAKER_00]: He could very well be back and I would be fine with him as a depth of receiver, but even beyond that, you don't have anything.

  [SPEAKER_00]: There's just nobody there, really.

  [SPEAKER_00]: I mean, pull up the Jaguars roster, who else is there at Wider Seaver?

  [SPEAKER_00]: We'll take a look, but it's slim pickings and it's nobody that you're gonna get fired up about.

  [SPEAKER_00]: So I think, as I've said, I would not be mad if the Jaguars took a Wider Seaver at 56 if it's somebody that they value extremely highly in Skylar Bell.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Somebody I value highly, that's for sure.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Um, but at wide receiver, you've got Tim Jones, you've got Austin Tramel, or these options getting you excited, and they can be workmen like players.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Don't get me wrong, but I think it would be nice to have somebody who could like actually push your top guys.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Somebody who is really a dang good player.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, you have Chandler Braiboy too down there on the list.

  [SPEAKER_00]: These guys aren't pushing your top guys in any way shape or form, they're just not.

  [SPEAKER_00]: So I think that you could definitely upgrade that throughout the draft too.

  [SPEAKER_00]: And you're not going to be in four-wide a lot, and then for you are, Travis Hunter's probably going to be on the field.

  [SPEAKER_00]: But Parker Washington is going into a contract here, do they re-sign him before the season?

  [SPEAKER_00]: If not, he could hit free agency, very easily.

  [SPEAKER_00]: I think they should resign him.

  [SPEAKER_00]: You obviously don't know how things will go with Brian Thomas Jr. You saw him get a little bit better and more consistent down the stretch when he wasn't the featured target in the offense.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Yes, you did, but I still think the jury is very much out on how it will play out with BTJ.

  [SPEAKER_00]: And so you want to give him his opportunities this year,

  [SPEAKER_00]: that if BTJ doesn't work out the way you want them to, you have another answer.

  [SPEAKER_00]: All right, obviously if you'll good about Jacobian Parker, Jacobi is gonna be under contract for the next couple years.

  [SPEAKER_00]: You wanna resign Parker, you have a flexible cap situation going into 2027, so you're good there, but,

  [SPEAKER_00]: I think you're looking at this room and saying, how much is Travis Hunter out there?

  [SPEAKER_00]: And again, we just really don't know.

  [SPEAKER_00]: So those are the ways I think the Jaguar's offense really needs to level up.

  [SPEAKER_00]: I think also from a coaching standpoint, Liam Cohen has not admitted that he should have run the ball more against the bills, not publicly at least.

  [SPEAKER_00]: I don't know how you could rewatch that game and not come to that conclusion.

  [SPEAKER_00]: And he got out coached in my opinion by Sean McDermott in that game.

  [SPEAKER_00]: So the Jag war is on their run at the end of the season where their offense was just on an absolute tear, they're winning all their games, they were just throwing the football.

  [SPEAKER_00]: And Sean McDermott said, okay.

  [SPEAKER_00]: If you're just gonna throw the football, that's what I'm gonna defend.

  [SPEAKER_00]: And his team did, and his team was smart, and they were ready for it.

  [SPEAKER_00]: They rigged a little bit of havoc in the backfield at times, not too much, but they played really well in the secondary.

  [SPEAKER_00]: They were opportunistic.
• 17:55
  [SPEAKER_00]: They made big plays.

  [SPEAKER_00]: But the bill's defense had no answer for the Jack Wars running game.

  [SPEAKER_00]: And in my opinion,

  [SPEAKER_00]: even though he was like, look, our passing offense was got us here.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, it is, but sometimes you need to be able to pivot, and in my opinion, he did not pivot well enough.

  [SPEAKER_00]: I think the Jag wars in a game like that need to be able to say, hey, we're going to run the ball.

  [SPEAKER_00]: And they could have.
• 18:31
  [SPEAKER_00]: They were dominating on the ground in that game.

  [SPEAKER_00]: They were absolutely dominating on the ground in that game.

  [SPEAKER_00]: So the Jaguar's last year had 563 passing attempts.

  [SPEAKER_00]: They had 489 rushing attempts.

  [SPEAKER_00]: That's a pretty good balance overall, but that's skewed by the fact that early on in the season, they were running in the ball a lot more.

  [SPEAKER_00]: They were running in the ball a ton, early on,

  [SPEAKER_00]: That slowed down.

  [SPEAKER_00]: There was still some pretty good balance overall.

  [SPEAKER_00]: They never completely abandoned the run, but they also just weren't leaning heavy into the run in games down the stretch.

  [SPEAKER_00]: And if they had against the bills, I definitely think they would have won that football game.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Yes, you can point to Greg Newsom and the passing defense not being good enough.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Yes, you can point to a couple of turnovers on offense.

  [SPEAKER_00]: That turnovers, but I think all of that goes away when you just say, we're dominating on the ground.

  [SPEAKER_00]: You're not going to stop us on the ground.

  [SPEAKER_00]: And that's how this game's going to go.

  [SPEAKER_00]: 23 rushes for 154 yards for the Jaguars.

  [SPEAKER_00]: What's that average?

  [SPEAKER_00]: 6.7 yards per carry, and you'll only ran the ball 23 times.

  [SPEAKER_00]: If I'm average in 6, if I'm average almost 7 yards per carry, you better believe I'm run in the ball 30 times, better believe I'm just handing it to my back over and over and over again.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, the past restaurant needs to be better, too.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Like, defense, yeah, we can talk about all, we will talk about that.

  [SPEAKER_00]: But I think offensively, you've got to be more willing to change your game plan, to say self-scouting-wise, going into a playoff game, a win or go home game, is this really well-coached team, this veteran team, and the Buffalo Bills, probably going to try to take away what we do best, do they have the ability to do that?

  [SPEAKER_00]: I don't think that happened.
