- speaker-0: Megan, it is a beautiful day in Sumner, Washington. It really is. We got lucky 'cause it was supposed to be kind of a crappy day. It was, and I we're down at the nightmare on Main Street doing a haunted farmer's market where, you know, we collect the people's stories. But we came down and set up and Mr. Boo Boo is here to help us and he wanted to wear his lunatic tank top, and I was like, It is fall and it is cold. Don't worry, tank top. And then have that go for you. Not good. He complained a lot. He really did. But it is hotter than It was very warm. Yeah. It's even in our tent is a bit warmer. The breeze is finally starting to come. So we'll we'll take it. But there's a an everything rub and seasoning that looks fantastic right across. I love that. I actually think I've tried their stuff before. no, one of those days that the last time we did this, it was a windstorm. People's tents were flying, it it got rained on. But this time is literally like a beautiful day. It's a beautiful fall day in the P and W P and W. All right. So this Bitch called me the other day. She FaceTimed me and told me that she had the funniest joke she's ever heard. And she called me like crying, she's laughing so hard. and Lucy attested to I screamed. Uh-huh. And then she refused to tell it to me because it has to be told on air. So I told her I can't wait any longer, so she needs to tell me now. Okay. Immediately now. my god. It better be good. If I don't laugh, you're in trouble. Okay. What do you call a nun in a wheelchair? What? Virgin Mobile. Alright, that was a good one. You win. You win. The cackle that came out of me at home. That was a good one. Virgin Mobile. Virgin Mobile. That's a good one. That one. You win. That was a solid. That's solid. That is a solid one. That's good. Good, good, good. Well, hello and welcome to Lunatic Soup, the podcast where we go into all things wild, weird and unknown. We're your host, Meg. And I'm Raina, ready to rope some Lunatic Soup. Let's go. I almost got a little tongue tied there. I know it, but I I went a quick stumble. But I did it. I would say what are we drinking today? But we are in public at a market. We would never We have our cup of coffee. Yeah, lots of coffee. Only coffee in here. Mm-hmm. That's all we do. Coffee. Coffee, coffee. but today we are going to be collecting people's paranormal stories. So you guys, if you've listened before, you know how the drill. So we will just do an intro of whoever we're speaking to and they're gonna tell us I don't know, a story. I'm so excited. Maybe we'll get an alien one this time. my god. That is our life goal is an alien. I actually talked to somebody over the summer who like her she says her mom was abducted. We gotta get we gotta get her on. And I feel like they're just the it's They're there. You're seeing more and more things now and I'm like even if it's a UFO, just anything. Anything anything. We'll take it. All right. Well, we will be back with our first question. In just a little bit. Just a second. All right, you guys, we are here with Christina and she's going to tell us an experience that you've had. Yes. Okay. we just moved here to Hood Rip, Oregon speaker-1: Hurtle River. speaker-0: Oregon. I love that area. Yeah, it's gorgeous. Yeah, beautiful. And we was in a rental home. Until our house got built in Stevenson. Mm-hmm. And he was my husband was somewhere, he went somewhere for work and I was talking to my girlfriend on the phone who does paranormal like going to cemeteries and stuff like Yes, investigating. And I was talking to her and I just stopped and she's like, What's wrong? And I'm like, There's somebody walking up my steps because I was outside. Yeah. And I'm like and there was a gentleman with like a backpack on and I thought, well maybe he's looking for someone or something. And we had like a three story step up. Yep. And she goes, Are you sure? Yeah. It's somebody. I'm like, well yeah, I'm looking right at him. and right when I w I said, hang on a second, and I went to talk to him saying, Hey, yeah, how can I help you? Yeah. He just disappeared. Like right in front of your eyes. Just right in front of my eyes. I'm like, wow And she goes, Did he just disappear? She just knew our match. And I'm like, yeah. She goes, Well that's what I was asking are you sure? Yeah, yeah. And then when he got back, I think he was in Iraq. Yeah. and then when he I think he was in Iraq and he just got back from Iraq and I said, I think this place is haunted. Yeah. And he goes, Why? And I'm like, I keep hearing foot footsteps everywhere. It was an older home. Yeah. And he goes, yeah, yeah. You know, he wasn't believing me. And we had two dogs at the time and my one dog would always sit by the chair, acting like she's like just sitting up there like, you know, being padded like this. Uhhuh. Come over to us and we're li I'm like, look and she he goes, Why is Chase do that? speaker-1: I don't know. speaker-0: So the dog Yeah, but she just sat by this one chair, just like she's like set by Like she there was someone there that she liked and which is funny 'cause animals have such different reactions. Like sometimes they're like, I mean, they know they don't have that veil that we have because you know we we get all negative in life and mom and dad's like grow up and so that's just wild. I mean that the seeing someone and having them disappear before your eyes, that's rare. And that's like and that's something that like our normal investigators dream of. Yeah, literally. And I did. I was just sitting there talking to her and that happened. I was like Well and I remember him distinctly because he had a baseball cap on, a backpack. So you saw detail. Yeah, I saw everything. He had like brownish hair. Yeah. But when he came back and he saw the dogs doing that, we was watching a movie and all of a sudden we heard footsteps out in the hardwood floors out in kitchen. And he looked at me, I'm like, It's our ghost, I told you. Yeah. Yeah. And I was like, hey guy, come on, we're trying to watch a movie. Yeah. Chill, you know? And it stopped. Yeah, we've done that too. Yeah, the best way to handle it. Yeah. Yeah. I was like, chill, yeah. I said, come on in here, have a set, you know, watch movie with us. And just chill. We're trying to watch a movie. Like stop running around, stop causing something. But you could hear like footsteps like someone was walking to like the refrigerator to the stove or whatever and it was just like What it is. But I love that it happened while you're on the phone with your friend who paranormal investigates. I also feel like that's something that's like not a coincidence, you know? Like it's one of those Exactly. And I mean and I was a cop for a while in South Carolina and there's was certain times when you went to a house or if you went to like the graveyard or something for calls and you're just like you know, mate right here. Yeah. You can feel it, your speedy senses are up here. Yeah. I was like usually I'll I'll take care of a house by myself and I'll be vibrations being a girl. Yeah. be aware, yeah. Yeah. And there's times I'm like I speaker-1: I'm waiting. speaker-0: mean there's something's here. I don't know what it is, but there's something. Even though some of the cops are like There's some bad food bad TVs going on up there. We always say you have to be more afraid of like the living than you do the dead. Like you you might pick up on it and unknown, but like you'd be a copy You know, I know. That's like you're like I'd rather have something that can't touch me in real life. Exactly. It's like I trust the dead more I do the living. Yes, a thousand percent. A thousand percent. That's like that was a great story. That's yeah. And you guys don't live there now anymore. No, we just lived there like six, seven months while our house was being built. And I mean I still remember the house. And I loved it. It was gorgeous. It was fun. It was, you know, right in the middle of Hood River basically. Yeah. Right on the outskirts of it, but yet enough close enough where you go to downtown. Yeah. It's beautiful. Yeah, I love that area. It was beautiful. And we had in even our house that we had in South Carolina, I didn't have it, or in Stevenson, I didn't have anything. Yeah. But the girl I was talking to, she used to come over and babysit our dogs. She was a homesteader. And she actually came over to the house one time. She goes, I think you have a portal at your house. Yeah. No, the one. No, the one in. okay. Yeah. I was like, why is that? She goes, I just she goes, I just keep feeling stuff when I'm over here. I'm like, I don't feel it, but then I mean I was living there, you know. Yeah. Yeah. And she goes, no, she goes, I think there's something something there. Yeah. Which is that is a thing too, where like certain areas and they can like something with the land or something happened that opened a port or the lived there before who did it, or it was an older house that built in the 60s, so who knows how many houses or how many owners it lived and it's yeah. Some people do crazy things in their homes and so you never know what they bring in. Yeah, exactly. Or what the land has. Yeah, that's so cool though. Well, welcome to the Pacific Northwest. Yeah. There's a lot of spooky things here. But you said you're from the South, so there's a lot of spooky things. I'm sure, yeah. Yeah, South Carolina. I was born in Ohio but raised in Florida and lived in South Carolina. So yeah. Yeah. All over. All over. Yeah. And the house we lived in in Ohio, I think there was something there too. Yeah. It was built in 1918, so. well, there you go. But you might also have a little bit of some stuff going on. That you can feel it. And then you can sense it too. Like you said, you'd go into a house and you kind of know. That's like, you that's all. I'm always seeing stuff out of the corner of my eye. Yeah, that's stuff. But I mean, seeing something show up and disappear is like that's it was it was really weird. Like I said, because he was walking up and then it it it was like steps, walkway, it's steps, and then up to the house. Yeah, you saw the whole thing. And I saw him coming up the steps at walkway and then up to the second steps, and I went over to talk to him, and I'm like, Can I help you? Yeah. And then poof, yeah. I thought it was like when the owner's son or something, you know, it's like And then you're why just so great you're on the phone to a friend because you're like, I just what if I just hang on there's somebody coming up my steps and she's like, Are you sure? And I'm like, yeah, book an animal. Yeah. And then you then you're not. Yeah. And I'm like, okay. Yeah, cool. That was great. No, thank you so much for sharing that. All right, we are here with Anya. Hi Anya. Hi. I can tell you gotta go to it. I can just see it on your face. Yep. speaker-1: So one night we were in a hosp I work in a hospital and we were just swapping stories. I have no stories, but they were swapping stories of what happened to them and It was a lot of so in the hospital that I work at, every corner room has its own paranormal activity that happens in it. Or if you have a patient that has been there for a while and that was their room, you will feel different things in that room pertaining to that person. So speaker-0: Yeah. speaker-1: I've had many patients, they'd be in bed and they're like, what's that dog doing in here? And I always like to I don't like to bring them back to reality because sometimes it's scarier and what speaker-0: for sure. speaker-1: color dog is it? And whatnot. And one time I was getting vitals for one of my patients and he was like, Why do you have so many people in here? Mind you well, we take vitals at night and it was black in the whole room 'cause we don't turn the light speaker-0: 'Cause we don't wanna wake anybody up. I remember speaker-1: And I'm speaker-0: I walked out of the room and I was like, Can I get someone else to watch me do my job? Yeah. Because there's too many people here and I know of only me. Do you mind what do you do? Like are you speaker-1: It was really crazy. I'm a CNA, so I just do patient care. Yeah. speaker-0: Is it in like what part of the like what area of the hospital are you? speaker-1: PCU, so progressive care unit. it's a little more the people aren't as sick, but it's still it's so interesting because you get a lot of old people at sundown. Yes. And when they're in an unfamiliar environment they definitely see a lot of things that you don't see. Yeah. speaker-0: Yeah. But to say you've got a lot of people with you, but that's also like if you think about it kinda comforting 'cause it's like maybe you've got all your family around you. Maybe it's like Yeah, for them. speaker-1: No, it's for them. For them it's most definitely speaker-0: Yeah. Maybe you brought yours in with them too. They just saw, you never know. speaker-1: Maybe that's true. There was one of my coworkers that said she was in a room getting vitals and our rooms have bathrooms and the door was wide open into the bathroom and it just slammed shut. Wow. And she walked out and she was like, I'm not doing it. speaker-0: I feel like that's like w when doors slam, that's when you know, okay, whatever. You might see something in the corner of your eye. speaker-1: Like feeling something brush up against you is fine, but that door And speaker-0: Yeah, absolutely not. speaker-1: it's not light, it's heavy and there's no breeze. speaker-0: I feel like hospitals would be so creepy at night. I feel like you go into them in any ways you get like if you're sensitive you can kinda feel 'cause you know, I mean people die in speaker-1: But we also have to be accepting of it, right? If something is happening, you do have to be accepting of like this is that I don't know, I don't accept it. So I'm just kinda like, you what, I will listen about these stories. speaker-0: But I need someone to send I need an adult. I might come in here with you. Yeah. No, that was amazing. Thank you for sharing. Alright, we are here with Lana and Lana's gonna tell us your experience, paranormal story. Yeah. Okay, so I was in high school at the time and in the house we're living in it was like really hella spooky. Like you could just feel the vibes. You felt like something was there. Yep. And then there was one day in high school, me and my friend four of my friends were standing back. To each other in our kitchen, and all of a sudden we all felt a slap. Or I felt it, and then we all turned around, we're like, Who slapped me? And we all at the same time, and we were all opposite sides, so there's like no way it could have been one of us getting all the others. Like, we were What the hell? And it was just the weirdest thing. You all felt it at the same time? Yeah. And then flipped around at the same time, turned around at the same time. Wow. And we were like, who hit me? That's trippy. That's It was very weird. I've never Yeah, I don't think we've heard a story like that. That was freaky. That was in your house? You said in my house, one of the houses that we grew up in. Yeah. Uh-huh. And did you have anything else that happened or was that like just I mean we heard footsteps sometimes, like you know, coming from upstairs. I could like feel this presence right by the door because I live in the basement of the house. I could like feel it right there. That's Like lots of freaky stuff. Yeah. But that's like cool that it happened with all your friends because it's like when someone Yeah, because I was like, I swear it's not just me. If everyone felt it at the same time, we're all like, what the hell just happened? Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Damn. Okay. was crazy. Awesome. Good work. Thank you. Thank you for having me. All right, now we are here with Shauna. Hi, Shauna. Hi, how are you? Good are you? Good. And what we we hear you have some sort of story to tell us today. Yes, I'm a nurse at a hospital and I am the I work in the hospital where I just round all the units. Okay. And so it was like 9 30 at night and I was there's a courtyard in the middle of our hospital and right in the courtyard there's our chapel. And so I normally don't go out there at 9 30 at night, but it was like hot in the hospital, so I was like I'm gonna go through the courtyard and like cool off. I was just walking through and in the chapel is just huge windows and I saw a lady there sitting in the chapel and then I see a priest there just standing and praying and so I looked at him, I waved, and then I saw the other lady just sitting there and praying. And so I walked inside the building and then I walked by the chapel. I didn't see anybody. So I thought, well, maybe he was sitting down and talking to the lady. And then I went to do my rounds in the hospital to say, hey, did was there a priest here? Because I just want to know who's around so that I can account for whoever's there. Yeah. And everyone kept saying no, there's no priest here. And I was like, okay, maybe they left. Yeah. And so the next morning I was I saw security. It was like seven o'clock. I Hey, can you just Make can you just let me know if there was a priest in our chapel last night around 930? And so he checked the cameras and he said, I saw a lady in pink. But I didn't see anybody standing there. And I was like, but I I saw him, he smiled at me. I like acknowledged him. Like you acknowledged him, he acknowledged you. Yeah, he smiled at me and I smiled back. And I remember everything he was wearing. Like he was wearing like a black Because it's like a cardinal what cardinals would wear. So it's black and red. Wow. And I it was just Yeah. Yeah. And you're like, okay, I saw that. Like it's that's wild. Wow. I'm sure you about working in a hospital. It's like we had someone else who worked in a hospital. She was saying that like I mean there's it it just there's a lot of things to go. Yeah. Yeah. So now now on I'm just gonna start touching everybody. Right. Yes, are you there? Yeah. my gosh, yeah. Well that's a that's a good one. That's but that's cool. Like it's a fun, like I don't know. Kind of creepy but yeah yeah I wasn't scared though like I felt so like okay this is nice like feels pretty no more that's very cool that's a great one thank you so much thank you for having me yes all right you guys we are here with Lo and Lo has a story to tell us speaker-2: I do have a story to tell you. So when I was probably six years old, I we lived in a house and I was watching TV in my mom's room with my little brother. And I'm blind as a bat, so I have glasses. and at the time I didn't have my glasses on and we were watching TV and the TV is right next to her door. And when I looked out, we looked out We saw a dark figure walk through the hallway to the end of the hallway, which is a dead end. Yep. And our babysitter, when she stayed with us, would stay in that room. Okay. But whenever she wasn't there, we locked it from the outside so my baby brother couldn't get inside. speaker-0: Yeah. speaker-2: So we both we all said, what was that? Yeah. And so I went running to my room, not thinking, which is the room across the from my mom's room. I went to go grab my glasses so I could see, not thinking if there's someone there, they'll run right into me. So anyways, grab my glasses, put on my glasses, take a look. No one's there. Yep. We didn't see a figure come back. my god. And we had a Jesus Christ like painting on the on the in the hall at the end of the hall and there was a very faint X with a with it was a faint red with like lipstick. Like very faint. Noticable because you know that was in our house. Yeah. speaker-0: my god. Yeah, but noticeable. Right, yeah. speaker-2: And so like my mom swore that our nanny was like The devil. Not the devil but like Yeah, speaker-0: Like with speaker-2: she like she had bad bad bad vibes from her. Yeah. So then after that incident she fired her. speaker-0: So what did she think she was like bringing things into the house? Yes. Yeah. Yes. man. Well did anything happen after Okay. speaker-2: Nothing happened after that. speaker-0: Well Maybe she wasn't wrong. Maybe she wasn't wrong. speaker-2: Maybe she wasn't. speaker-0: I don't know. That's a good one. That's something that sticks with you too. See a shadow figure? No, thank you. That's speaker-2: I'll never forget it. Yeah. And then where did it go? speaker-0: Yeah. Yeah. Well that's what that's what is messed up 'cause you're like you know you saw it. speaker-2: Yeah, and then there's no out. There's no way to get speaker-0: No way. Yes. Yeah, gosh. And then you but you still remember you to this day and you how old six? Yeah. speaker-2: Probably six or something. Yeah. speaker-0: Six with you. That's awesome. Thank you so much for sharing. Yes. Well, we have some very special guests here right now. We have Brianna and Ryan who actually run the market. Yes. Even better. Yep. Hello. And you guys now have a YouTube, a paranormal YouTube where you guys go ghost hunting, paranormal investigating. Yep. So you guys have gotten some pretty cool stuff. speaker-2: I know. speaker-0: I need to come stalk because I haven't seen I've seen you like post clips on TikTok, I think, and but I haven't actually gone to your YouTube. So like I'm okay. So give us your best fun. Yep. speaker-2: Okay, so it's called Slightly Haunted. You just type that in speaker-0: Yep. Go ahead and look at Well I yeah, no I was like, give it a good plug. speaker-2: You know, him and I were talking about like what our favorite thing from each equipment was. speaker-1: Who speaker-2: And I would say if I had to give a rating, the top one right now, surprisingly, is Saint Ignatius in Colfax, Washington. speaker-0: I think that's where my grandma was born actually. Yeah. That's yeah. Yeah, speaker-2: There's it's a hospital. Super funny. speaker-0: she's born in Colfax that I'm pretty I think that's the only hospital bigger. Yeah, so I'm pretty positive that's where my grandma speaker-2: They said they got really lucky, they got the hospital, Olala got the prison and then like you know what I Yeah, yeah. And we're like, we were so happy about it. Yeah. that was the first time I ever heard a disembodied voice. Yeah. Yeah. So I dressed up as a nun because it used to be ran by nuns. Yep. And Ryan here dressed up as a doctor. And it was funny, so I said we're gonna be the trigger items. Yeah. So if you don't know what a trigger item is, it's when you bring something that relates to the spirits at the wherever location you're at. And it's supposed to trigger like an alcoholic for alcohol, a smoker with smoke. You know, like that. So a nun for the patients. Yeah. And so we went around and I was actually like humming in this chapel that they had in the in the hospital. And I was like, hmm. And then we heard it back, like it mimicked us. And it was like, And I was like, my god. I heard equipment speaker-0: Without a speaker-2: with my ears. With his ears, with my ears. We ran downstairs to the only other person in the building, which was Valerie. She was the woman that runs the whole thing, and she just sits in her office while we do our thing. Yeah. And she came out in the hallway. looking for us, we came out downstairs looking for her and she goes, Did you just hear that? And we're like, we came here to to like validate that. And we're like she heard it too. And she's like, I heard it downstairs speaker-0: And she was a different but that is the badly when you have someone else who hears it, so you're like it wasn't just like yeah, well in nothing. So you heard it with your ears and it picked up. speaker-2: And you can hear it on our video. So Yes. Yeah. And it's j it was just crazy because I was like, that is my first disembodied voice ever and it made me excited. I wasn't scared at all. I was like, this is so exciting because paranormal could be real. speaker-0: Yeah, it's like when you have that moment. We had that once at the Ording Manor, like which this place, yeah, we did you were you modeled for me for a photo shoot and we got the it was the hiss and we we heard it and all of us turned around and we were like what the hell and then we got it on the thing but it was like four of us and that was our one of my favorite ones that we've ever gotten because it was like it's so validating when you hear it everyone else hears it and then you actually get it and you're like holy shit that happened. Like you guys did the Queen Mary speaker-2: Tell about the Queen Mary. speaker-0: What's really cool? speaker-1: We'll see you. speaker-2: Yeah, you know, it's so like just based off of what she was saying too, it's like, yes, there we have our devices that say a lot of things and those can be proven, disproven, all kinds of stuff. But the best ones are always the ones where your sense is picking up. So that was our best one for our ears, obviously, because we heard somebody that wasn't there. but on the Queen Mary at least, I actually saw somebody, which was great, which is I I've only seen like I've seen a couple of shadows before. This one was at the front of the Queen Mary, we were being tailed by a About 15 other people all night because they just thought it was fun ghost hunting with us. And we went to the front of the ship where they have like a charting or a mapping room essentially. It's closed off, it's locked. There's no lights on, it's split into two parts, and for whatever reason, I have the camera pointed at Brianna, and I'm just looking through this glass pane that's on the door to see through into the room, and from left to right, I just see the upper white torso, like of like how the sailors wear like the white jackets. Yeah, speaker-0: Yeah. speaker-2: just the upper torso, no head, no lower, just walk from. left to right, about a second and a half, two seconds moving behind the glass. That was and so that was the seeing one, right? Yeah. And then Pennhurst speaker-1: And speaker-2: too. Penhurst is wild. speaker-0: You guys are really getting out there. my God. I I know speaker-2: I would speaker-0: Really? speaker-2: say like Ferrar Elementary School and yeah, like the ones he's saying, Saint Ignatius, the Queen Mary. But Warren did have good stuff. Warren Occult was amazing, not because of the collection. Annabelle for sure is spooky. The shadow doll is spooky. speaker-0: I mean all the intention put into that thing. It alone will do that. speaker-2: Sure. But the thing that stood out the most about the Warren Occult Museum at least was there's like a room inside their home. It's the basement where they essentially discussed all plans for investigations. Yeah. On our devices in their home in that area, we will get Ed, we will get Warren. And like on the Ovulus and stuff. speaker-0: See that would yeah, that would be so cool though. Yeah, it would be so affirmative. Yeah. speaker-2: Where they scream at you and we're like, What type of spirit are you? It said, I'm bad, I'm terribly bad. But clear speaker-0: my god. speaker-2: as day on our E V P like when we play it back. Holy sh it's on the videos. The best the best for sure are the ones where it's the senses. So like at Pennhurst on the third floor of the Mayflower, we have a very long session where we're just sitting in quiet up there. Yeah. And you're hearing bangs, slams, there's nobody up there with And we're just standing there at like whispering like Are you there? speaker-0: Scratch, tap, move. my god. Yeah, yeah. speaker-2: So then it becomes more of a question of rather are these spirits, are they demons, are they echoes? Like what speaker-0: Yeah, what is right? Because there's something that we don't know about. Yeah, you don't know what it is. I mean, and that's a we go through that all the time where it's like, you know, there's a haunting story and it's like, is it actually like is this a entity? Is it a demon? Is it a what Stone C theory where it's like, you gores. Yeah, there's so many options. Or what's the other one that we always talk about? The one that's no the weird ones, the ones that are like creep no, they're like like like a Loki or like a like general like trickster kind of like Anyway, like fairy almost. Yeah. We've encountered there's so many possibilities, but it's like yeah. speaker-2: We actually have a someone sent us a haunted doll. That's so different. It was in a package and they and so we were doing a series called Paranormal Package Time and we just opened it in our house and so our comments they're like, I think it's a trickster spirit. It's this really beautiful like doll. It's a female. Yeah. And it was really interesting. Kind of, speaker-0: Did you get you bought stuff off of her? speaker-2: but we're gonna monitor her. Yeah. Yeah. But we also have somebody sending us some items from Bobby Mackey's. speaker-0: Yeah. We covered that was like one of our one of the episodes. Yeah. speaker-2: They bulldoze it down, it's gone. Yeah completely gone. So I was like we can't investigate. However, someone said I don't want these items anymore. I'm I was thinking about throwing them in the trash, but if you guys want them, I will send it to you. And it's like and like a postcard and stuff and he's like the crazy stuff is happening. I have kids, I don't want them speaker-0: Wow. My my mother in law actually investigated Bobby Mackey's when it speaker-2: I speaker-0: was. Yeah, we got yeah she she there's an E V P didn't we from the well or the down in the well in the basement. Yeah, that one that one's messed up. I remember that story. That's I we I don't usually remember all the stories we do, but Bobby Mackey is one that I really remember. That one stood out. Yeah, it did speaker-2: I think whatever they build on top is gonna have hauntings and I'm gonna go after it because it's speaker-0: The what it's whatever they did in that well, the things were thrown I mean that that place was whatever was thrown down though. Yeah, they 'cause that was all happened before like that bar was even built. So like it was it's yeah. Everything's getting speaker-2: Anything on top, yeah. So I wanna I wanna investigate whatever. Typing these things is always I think where we're at now at least. Because even we did one at just a random Airbnb in the Appalachian mountain range, and we we actually I think we went in with the lowest possible expectations of this place and got like maximum return on this random place in the mountains. Well and that's feel right, because speaker-0: Yeah, speaker-2: it's skinwalkers, right? So that's like cryptid, so that's a whole different speaker-0: I don't want to scare you with that. speaker-2: And then we were hungry after investigation and we're like, You wanna go to McDonald's? He's like, I'm stepping outside of Sure. Well people speaker-0: No, for short speaker-2: say Sasquatch is crypto too. Like I've met people that have been like, Sasquatch is an alien or Sasquatch is a spirit and I'm like, I didn't know that speaker-0: Yeah, we talk about like everyone has their theories on it, but it could be a cryptid, could be interdimensional being, could be I mean there's speaker-2: Wild to me because I always figured it was like the missing link or speaker-0: something like that. So and it's like I guess yeah, it just depends on who you talk to and what they think. But yeah, yeah. What the experience is. well that's I know that's a good one. I'm okay I'm gonna go stalk you guys now. I didn't realize you guys are going to all the good places. All the good places. speaker-2: Yeah, we're posting up too twice a week right now for the for the month of October. So we're doing it once a week on average, but in October we're putting out eight videos. speaker-0: That's what we did when we first started. Our October month we like went hard for spooky season. It pays off at the end of the day. It's just a lot of work. It is a lot of work. I get it. Yeah. yeah. It's a lot. And you're like listening to yourself talk and then like editing yourself and you're like Yeah. You do you get immune to it. It's good. speaker-2: I'm so used to it now. I was also, I had a YouTube channel when I like fourteen. speaker-0: Okay, so I learned how to like edit a little and hear myself. Yeah, so you're free. I still don't like to hear myself speak. Yeah. I'm immune to myself now, I think, but it's fine. Well, thanks you guys. Thank you so Thank you guys for having us and for you know for putting on these awesome events. Yeah, the markets are amazing. If you guys ever are in town in the Seattle area, come to the Haunted Farmers Market. I mean, go to their Instagram and then stalk their YouTube, which is slightly haunted. Slightly haunted. Go stock them. Subscribe. Subscribe. Exactly. All right, thank you. Nice to see you. All so we are Back with another story from Jessica and her mother Kathy. And they've been very patiently waiting, so we're excited to hear. Especially we've got a mother mother-daughter duo. Like, can't wait. Can't wait to hear So just talk a little bit close and yeah. Okay. All right. Yeah, you go for it. speaker-2: All right. okay, so my story takes place in a small town in Scadget County called the Connor. Okay. I don't know if you're familiar, but it's one of the first towns in that area. speaker-0: Yeah, it's near is that's out like Forks is that no? you said Luckhoner or no? Luckhoner. speaker-2: Connor. Yeah. I think there's a la center speaker-0: Yeah, okay. yeah, okay, speaker-2: Yeah, like a Anacortus Mount. speaker-0: that's where I know. I know I know where it is, huh? I've driven past it a million times. Yeah, yeah. We drive through it to get to the ferry. Yeah, okay, that makes sense. Yes. so yeah. speaker-2: we used to live up there and there are there were kind of like stories of weird things happening in some of the really old buildings and businesses. So never really had experienced anything ourselves but had heard, you know, there's like a quilt museum that had a ghost hunter show actually come out. and then speaker-1: Okay. speaker-0: And look into that. speaker-2: And then you know, just employees staff yeah experiencing weird stuff sometimes when they're you know alone at night. So one of the restaurants in town then was named Kirsten's and I'd heard some things had happened there before too and was there with one of my friends. We were just having a couple glasses of wine and one of our friends was one of the servers and we were just chit chatting, sitting at a round table kind of like this. and we were facing the server. I know nobody on air can see what I'm doing. But we're facing our server friend to I was looking to my right. my friend was across from me and I had a glass of wine in front of me, wasn't touching it. Yeah. And as we're talking, like in the my peripheral vision, I swear my wine glass moved just a little bit. speaker-1: Okay. speaker-2: And I just kind of was like, weird, I think my wine glass just moved. And my friend was like, yeah, I think so too, but we didn't really think much more of it. Yeah. Continued talking and then was facing my friend and my wine glass moved, I kid you not, like six inches across the table. speaker-0: My hands are. There was no fluid under it or anything like that. And that's speaker-2: Wasn't touching it. Looked at all the things. speaker-0: like you're up like with a friend at dinner and two speaker-2: So yeah, it just glided across very smooth and then stopped. speaker-0: They really wanted a glass of wine. I at least they didn't spill it because that would have just been very opposite. That's I mean, that's a good one because I feel like, you know, it's always you might be with someone in a private area or something, but out at a restaurant and it does that, that's that's like someone's there wanting to be involved is what it is. speaker-2: that's all I have speaker-0: That's a good one. I didn't realize they had a bunch of haunted stuff out there. That's Yeah, they do. See, I had no idea. One of the girls' old teachers lives out there now and tells me stuff. Okay. Wasn't there one specific spirit of a woman in the corner that was that had been seen and I'm sure, yeah. Well now I'm gonna look into it. Yeah I wanna look into that. That's amazing. Gosh, yeah, we drive through there all the time. I had no idea. Yeah. So that's okay. Yeah. It's caught what is that? speaker-2: restaurant called now changed speaker-0: it's changed. speaker-1: For the years that we're speaker-2: no I think it's changed since then too. Anyway it's right on it's right on the main road speaker-0: Like on the way to Anaquortis? Like speaker-2: It's in Ta it is. Look corner is you take an exit and you head west for like twenty minutes and then you get there. yeah speaker-0: Okay It's on the Swinnamish Channel and near the their tribal land. Yeah, okay. No, that's a good one. I like that. This is about where I grew up in my family's home. My grandparents built a house in it's a small town dairy farming country and in also in Skagit County. And the house that they built was you know a typical ther farmhouse of the 30s, but it had been built on what we had heard was a fire of the previous owner. that some people had died. Yep. Okay. And then in my lifetime, my grandfather died in the house, my grandmother died in the house. And when I was twenty-three my mother died in the house. I'm sorry gosh. And so it always seemed a little bit spooky and it was drafty and old and everything. But when my other daughter was a baby my my dad was having surgery so we went up and we were gonna stay there and then go in the morning to be with him for his operation. And now the house, you imagine old farmhouse. So the kitchen is separated from the living room by a door. And then there's stairwell going up with another door at the top, with bedrooms, etc. on stairs. But I was in the kitchen with my little daughter, and all of a sudden I started hearing what sounded like things being thrown from the top of the stairs down the stairs, hitting the wall and the floor, and it just didn't. didn't stop. Yeah. I'm telling you, I was pretty freaked. She was 14 months old. I was there by myself, and I'm going Yeah. Yes. Yeah. Grandma. Yeah, like please tell me it's one of you guys. Yeah. I'm here. Yeah. And were did you ever see anything? It was so scary. Just wham. When is that louder? There's nobody in the house. Right. That is and that's like where my daughter and I. Yeah, that'll that'll get you. That's so I mean the neighbor had volunteered, said, you know, if you want a place to stay, then come over and I said, no, no problem, I'll be fine. Calling her on the phone. Yeah, you're like just kidding, yes, I'm coming over. way over. Wow, that's crazy. But I bet you it is like residual from well not residual, but like yeah, could it be from the people who lost their lives in the fire or like you would think if if it's your family, they don't want to scare you. You know? Like that's what I always like to do. It's your family members, they're not trying to scare you. Yeah, you know, they might have just been trying to get my attention. Which that's true. Yeah it could have been that but yeah if they were there. But still not I mean yeah being at home with your kid and then you're like absolutely not no thank you. Yeah. No? I we have you want to do another one? Well, yeah. speaker-2: I was just gonna say they just finished their face painting. but no other I would just speak to how creepy this house was speaker-0: Yeah. speaker-2: hang on when we grew up. train. speaker-0: Alright, sorry, there was a train. speaker-2: I should have considered that. it was as a ch young, you know, young girl still being in that house when we'd go and visit and stuff, their attic and upstairs there was just this feeling like my sister and I both were like speaker-0: We absolutely terrified the high stairs. Absolutely not. Yeah, speaker-2: So speaker-0: okay. Yeah. I feel like that is I feel like that if it you're that creeped out at like I feel like family members a lot of times it gives you like you're like it might freak you out a little bit but you're not getting that like terrified feeling. Like you know, there's someone who maybe like lived in the house before and is like what are you guys here? Get out and yeah, and they make sure you feel uncomfortable. Yeah. Because they and they will do that. So that's yeah those are both really good ones. I think the wine glass might be my favorite one of the day. I don't know. So don't take my wine. Yeah, don't take my wine. Thanks so much. All right, we are here with our next guest, Red. Red, thank you for coming to chat with us. So what story do you have for us today? speaker-1: Yeah, thanks for having me. So I have I have like a gal pal that I used to live with and I remember she told me about this experience I had and had mentioned how it might be tied to like an evil Tagalog spirit. man speaker-0: Wasn't expecting that. No. speaker-1: Yeah so I had when I was a kid I was at like a babysitter's house and I think I'd woken up like in the middle of the night so it's like 3 a.m. and I get out of the bed. The weird lady had like a bed alarm but it didn't go off so I was like, I have to go to the bathroom. So then I start walking around and it felt like the hallways just kept expanding. my god. And I felt like I was repeating it where I would keep, you know, I would walk to the kitchen, I would see Like the clock said 3 a.m. the first time. And then I like went through it again and then it was like 3 01. So I just kept like relooping the same thing. Yeah. speaker-0: Well that's how we speaker-1: And so and it was like everything was happening the same where like I get out of bed and she had told me there's some type of spirit that like attaches to like younger people and like will make you relive the same thing until you do something that like ruins the whole repeating of it. So like Yeah. speaker-0: Crazy. speaker-1: Yeah, and I went through it for a while and then eventually when I did actually like wake up and stuff, 'cause I don't even know yeah if I was awake or whatever, it was like everything was normal, but I was like I went through like limbo like speaker-0: You remember it vividly. speaker-1: Yeah. I remember like going to the bathroom and then going in the kitchen and i investigating everything and like the clock would just still be the same time every time I went into the kitchen. And it's speaker-0: weird when you have it because in dreams you're not supposed to be able to see the clock or the date. It's like a thing. You're never speaker-1: Right. speaker-0: supposed to ask that because then you will wake up. Like the speaker-1: Yeah. speaker-0: fact that you saw the time repeatedly that's yeah that doesn't sound like a dream. speaker-1: Right. And it was like the kitchen oven clock. So it was like a number two. It wasn't like a regular hand clock where maybe it'll be off or something. Like it w it was consistent and I just remember like eventually, you know, we got woken up by the babysitter because my mom was a bartender. She came to pick us up. Yeah. And I remember telling my mom on the way home, I was like, I went through the same thing like twenty times. Like I don't know if I'm crazy or something. speaker-0: That I mean that's that's like we haven't gotten a story like that before. That's a good one. That's I mean speaker-1: I've lived way too many weird experiences and I saw this and I was like, Okay, I think I have one in the back of my brain. speaker-0: No, that's a fun one. That's different and like that's a I mean, glad that it only happened once because speaker-1: Yeah, I d yeah, 'cause I know she said that spirit too was something like you would have to like put your shirt inside out or something to like lapse your brain. I can't remember the name of it. speaker-0: is like a Filipino vampire. So I don't know I mean it could be. It could be part of the I know we covered it for one of the episodes but long time ago. Interesting. Yeah we need to look at speaker-1: Yes, I'll have to stay with your bicep guys' podcast 'cause I'm like, wait, this could so speaker-2: We s got you. speaker-0: 'Cause we'll look into it. Like, she's the researcher. and like now I wanna know. Yeah, now she's gonna she's gonna look into it trust. speaker-1: Yeah, my friend had said it was s some type of like Filipino and like tied to Takal. speaker-0: Yeah, and so we So now I just need to uncover that. And it could be something where like, you know, we touch the scratch the surface on it and there's just more to it. But that's crazy. That's okay, that was amazing. speaker-1: Wild. I know. So speaker-0: Well thank Thank you so much. speaker-1: I'll definitely keep seeing you guys because this was so cool. speaker-0: So fun. You actually I've seen you by the booth twice because your daughter really liked my my Ghostbusters. And she's she's in the most adorable marshmallow costume. We speaker-2: So speaker-0: bonded because you know stay puffed marshmallow. Honestly, like come on, they're so good. Yeah, speaker-1: Yeah. speaker-0: love it. Love it, love it. So what what stories do you have for us? speaker-2: man. So back when I was living on the east coast, we had a a a group of friends that would go do like urban exploration. we'd go down in the pine barrens to to find weird stuff down there. speaker-0: Unbelievable. I'm like you two know what yeah, the two east coasters over here. I'm just over here, you know. You wanna explain what the pine barons are real quick? Yeah. speaker-2: I'm sorry? the pine bear? Yeah. it's a big I guess nature preserve. I don't think it's not federal land, but it's it's a big nature preserve. It's basically just acres and acres and acres of woodland that the state has preserved. And there are some really weird people that live in there. Yeah. Very weird people that live in there. Yeah, like the the Jersey Devil. speaker-0: Lots of legends come out which you have a tattoo of your speaker-2: I and I actually just got this out here. wow. Yeah. speaker-0: nice, okay. speaker-2: But one of the things that we used to do is outside of just north of Philadelphia, actually like the northern border of Philadelphia, there was a an old abandoned mental hospital called Byberry. speaker-0: Don't threaten me with speaker-2: It was I mean it the first couple of times we went up there it was there there were all s kinds of stories about security finding you. There was always somebody kind of roaming around. The the neighbor the residential area hated that people were going in there and breaking into stuff. one of the first times that we went up there before we actually started going into any of the buildings, we were walking around the access road around the facility and it's it was a big piece of land that had, you know, buildings all over the place, but then there was like a big field in between some of the buildings. buildings and then Roosevelt Boulevard was was the the main thoroughfare that went through there. So you could see cars going by, but it was far enough away that it was a walk if you had to get there. So we were walking down the access road and we saw what we thought was off in the distance was a a flame. Like it almost looked like somebody had started a bonfire. And we're like, well that's really dumb. Like why would you start a fire out here if it's highly patrolled and you're gonna give yourself away. The road kind of dipped down a little bit as we got a little closer. So as it dipped down we lost sight of the flame. Weird, whatever. As it came back up, we saw the flame come back into view. It didn't get any bigger. So we're like, what is going on? So we walk up to it. It was a half the ho top half of a deer carcass. Had one of those little votive candles on its neck. And somebody put a a ghost face mask on its head. speaker-0: What? my god. my god. Why? speaker-2: my god. Why? speaker-0: So like okay, I have so many questions. Like that. my god. One of a million things. speaker-2: Yes. speaker-0: Wow. Okay. Yeah. That's interesting. speaker-2: And so we're all looking around at this like trying to figure out what why like what is even happening. Why is this here? And I turn and look over at one of the buildings that's maybe a like a couple hundred yards down the down the way. And all I see is like the cherry from a cigarette get brighter and then speaker-0: That just made this whole story so much creepier. speaker-2: So we ran. speaker-0: Yeah, smart. It's like, okay, we're done. speaker-2: Yeah. We're like I mean we were in our early twenties, so we were stupid. Like like we're we're we're not that stupid. So we're gonna Yeah. speaker-0: Smart enough to run. speaker-2: Let's let's leave. And then but then we kept going back. I mean there were we were constantly going back and we would start actually going into the building. we found a a way to get in through some wooded area that was had some good cover and we get in we went in through the the auditorium and that was like our entry point and from there there were tunnels. There are tunnels under all the buildings. So we found out how to get in the tunnels through the auditorium and we would go through the tunnels to get to all the different buildings. speaker-0: I was just about to say, my god. speaker-2: It was the best time of my life was going through this place trying to try to like just creepy weird stuff. I'm sure. And we were in the so the first time we got into the auditorium, we were loud and shining our flashlights around and looking around and we hadn't even thought about like exploring any other part of it yet. We're walking through and all we hear is like a a a groan. Like just a a loud groan. Like almost like somebody waking up. Yeah. So we I mean we assumed that there were probably like some homeless population that was living in there, despite all the asbestos. and everything, but it was It's a roof. It's damp, but it's dry, I guess. so we ran. That's not another time we ran. after that we got a little braver and we started going down into actually going into the tunnels and then we figured out that we were able to to memorize how to get to the morgue from the tunnels. As well as so we were just constantly bringing people like new people like high school yeah, like like kids that we were it was high school. Yeah, we were like eighteen six seventeen, eighteen. So we were bringing other kids from high school down to go Like check out this place. People had never been there. We'd take them right into the tunnels and straight to the morgue. We don't want be here. Like, too bad, because there's a lot more to see. Wow. So one time we went, the the morgue was actually in the basement of one of the taller buildings on the property. So we would go in, we'd go through the tunnels, we'd get into the morgue, then we'd go up to the top of that building and kind of look around just to get a s an idea of like if security was moving around, whatnot. Well, one time we went up there, we'd get up on out onto the roof and look off. to one side and we can see smoke coming off this like off the side of like coming up the side of the roof. well that's weird. Like it didn't seem like a lot of smoke at the time as well maybe somebody was up there having a cigarette. Yeah and we're like, all right, well let's go check this out. So we each picked like a brick or a piece of something that was on there walked over to see what it was. Again. speaker-0: Young dummy. speaker-2: I mean looking back on it now, it's amazing that anyway. speaker-0: Yeah. I we understand. Yeah. speaker-2: So we get to the other we start walking over there, we realize that the smoke's coming off the side of the building. So we go over to the edge of the roof, the room we're standing directly on top of is engulfed in flames. speaker-0: God. speaker-2: Fire just shooting out the window. no. So okay. Yeah. Let's let's leave. Yeah. speaker-0: We were able to get out, okay, obviously you're standing in front of us. speaker-2: Yeah. But I mean we went back down through the tunnels like when like we weren't gonna go running across the the yard 'cause like we didn't want to get caught coming out of this building. speaker-0: And and then blaming it on you or like yeah, whatever. speaker-2: So, you know, we had friends had friends that smoked, it like, throw your lighters, get rid of all that stuff. So we get out back to the car and we're driving around and we're driving up and down the road waiting for a response. Yeah. Like and you can see the flames getting bigger coming out of this building from the the highway. speaker-0: Yeah. speaker-2: So we finally drive up to the security shed and we're like and this pimply like 15-year-old kid pokes his head out. He's looked like he was high higher than a cart. Like I'm sure he was. He doesn't do anything. He speaker-0: Ha speaker-2: and so we pull up and we're hey man, one your buildings is on fire. He's like, speaker-1: Yeah. speaker-2: Alright, thanks. And then just goes back in and calls the fire department. We're like, do you do you like do you need to just stick around and like give a statement? Or he's like, nah. Yeah. Nah, this happens. speaker-0: It I wow. Okay. Yeah. Cool. Yeah. my god. Wow. Okay. Just I mean I just feel like everything in that place ha probably was just terrifying and yeah. speaker-2: The history of that place is makes it even more terrifying. speaker-0: An asylum back then. What's the name of the hospital? speaker-2: Biberry? speaker-0: Fiber. Yes. speaker-2: Yeah, so you know you're aware of it. Yes. speaker-0: Yes. Yeah. I mean anything from that era. Yeah. yeah. Anything from that era. We know anytime an episode starts and it has to do with old insane asylum or like any it's like, alright. It's about to get messed up. It's gonna get really messed up. It's really yeah, what speaker-2: But the history of that place is is speaker-0: they did to people and yeah, I'm sure god, I can't even speaker-2: And there was one other there was one thing that was kind of kind of supernaturally that I I don't I I d I won't say that I'm a skeptic or that I don't believe in it, but I'm kinda like Yeah. speaker-0: Yeah. speaker-2: So we were coming out of the the tunnels one time, heading back to car. This was a normal visit where nothing weird like outward like more than usual happened. Yeah. And so we come out of the the building and there's no cell I mean, this was like the early days of cell phones. Like there's the signal anywhere was not great. But once you get in there, it's a complete dead zone. yeah. So we get out and my phone buzzes like it has a voicemail. Okay. So I open it up and I listen to it as we're walking back to the car. It says that it was a voicemail from phone number 555-555-5555. And it was about 30 seconds of just static. Whoa. speaker-0: That's creepy. Yeah. Because that is no, absolutely not. No. Literally something from a movie. speaker-2: Exactly. And I mean I was even playing it for my friends because I was they're like they're like you have to listen to this. Like there's no way like there because i I could easily make that up. Right, right. But like and my dad at the time had worked for Sprint and I so and I saw him the next morning, I was like, hey, listen to this. He's like, Well that's not that's not possible. speaker-0: Yeah. Well that's not even a possible phone number. No, no, it's a fake phone number. speaker-2: Fake fake phone number like that area company doesn't exist. speaker-0: Because that I mean and that because they do say par like the paranormal, the other side, they can manipulate like the phones and that kind of stuff. So that sounds like I mean yeah, that's you know, yeah might not be a believer, but that's that's something. That's yeah, because that's not possible. speaker-2: No. speaker-0: Yeah, that's a good one. That's fantastic. I mean all of that. Also just the fact that you're like running around as a teenager in an insane asylum, like taking your friends, you're like, you guys wanna go check it out? speaker-2: Ha ha ha. speaker-0: I actually have never done that. King's I was just getting drunk in a field somewhere. King's Hospital in on Long Island. That's a good one. yeah? King State Park Hospital in Lun Long Island Long Island. It's like probably twenty stories high. You can't get in there anymore. They cemented the doors. no. But you used to get Is that the one that you went to with your cousins? With my cousins a couple of years ago. Yeah. A 12-year-old with me, speaker-2: nice. speaker-0: and she's like, I'm gonna wait over here. I'm like, okay, I'll go in. speaker-2: She's insane. speaker-0: God, well those were great. Thank you so much for telling us. That's so fun. That's I mean good good ones. We appreciate that. Yeah, when speaker-2: Yeah, Fun, fun reminiscing. speaker-0: you're young, done you know, stupid and just yeah, you're like, And then we just hope that our children don't. Right. That's what I was thinking. Like we all did this crap. But if they did it, you're done. yeah. So far my oldest is already better than I was at her age, so I have like fingers crossed, but you never know. You never say never. speaker-2: My kids my kids are my my oldest probably wouldn't do it just because it's not something that would interest her. My youngest is probably way too scared to even consider doing anything like that at this point. Yeah. But my speaker-0: Yeah, we'll just hope that that stays that way. That's it. speaker-2: par the way my parents were looked at it was as long as you don't get arrested. speaker-0: Whatever it's what it And it was just a different time back then. It was like it was a such a different time. We don't let our kids go run around in a anywhere at the store. Yeah. Yeah. Anyways. All right. Well thank you so much for that. That was amazing. speaker-2: This is great, thank you very much. It was a pleasure. speaker-0: Alright, we are on with our next guest who is going to remain anonymous but is dressed as Thing One and seems like a very good time. So welcome, Thing One. Thank you. Yes. speaker-1: Thank you. speaker-0: And y I mean you'll let you get started with I mean, we you know, we brought you in and you said you think it's you. Yeah. And so what do you mean by that? You're would you like to explain that further or would you like to explain an experience you had and we can go from there? speaker-1: I think it's me because I've had a few different experiences at different times in my life at different locations. speaker-0: Okay. speaker-1: like I can rem remember as far back as I don't know, eighth grade at speaker-0: Yeah. speaker-1: home, just like weird noticing weird speaker-0: Like seeing things or shadow figures or yeah. speaker-1: Yeah. And I was like, okay, that's interesting. And just kind of like Yeah. Yeah. speaker-0: Yeah. speaker-1: Or experiencing the you know you know those those like stuffed animals that like you have to like push the little button in order for it to make a noise. Yep. Okay, well I had one of those. It was a giant tiger and it would just randomly make noise. speaker-0: Okay. Yep. And you're like, what is that? Battery operated? Yeah. speaker-1: Yeah. So there's batteries. Yeah. And so I was like, that's weird. And it never made me like feel weird or anything. But I was just like, that's that's weird. And I remember saying something to my mom about it. speaker-0: Uh-huh. speaker-1: And she was like, yeah, those those things happen to me. Like speaker-0: Yeah. speaker-1: I was like, okay. So then it's kinda like one of those things I just like I feel like grew up expecting, I guess. speaker-0: Yeah. speaker-1: And then she would tell me stories about living in a house that she grew up in, and would e you know, have like I guess paranormal experien. speaker-0: Yep. speaker-1: She has her own set of stories. so that was interesting. I can remember being home by myself and like the radio coming on. Yeah. Out speaker-0: yeah. speaker-1: of nowhere. Yeah. I we lived in a house that was a hundred and four years old when I was in high school. So I was like, okay. and then finding out that that house was actually haunted. So speaker-0: Yeah. speaker-1: I was like, all right, well. I can remember painting in my parents' house one time and nobody else was in the house and I thought that like maybe my mom had come home. Yep. Because I was I was painting and I thought I saw something like in my peripheral and I like turned to say something to her and there's there was nothing there. And then speaker-0: Yeah. Yep. speaker-1: so I just go back to my business and then it like happened again. And so like I stopped and I walked through the house. I was like mom and there was nothing. And so I called her on the phone. I was like, Are you what are you doing? And she was like, I'm at work. Like what I was like speaker-0: You're like, what the hell was that? Yeah. speaker-1: So I was like Do you know that you have a ghost here? She was like yeah speaker-0: But she knew about it. Yeah. And she just didn't tell you. She was like, Well but you don't tell your kids that because you don't want to freak out. Well speaker-1: mean I was a little bit older at this so she was just like super nonchalant about it because she knows that I guess we're both like at this we both have this understanding speaker-0: So you guys both have mediumship abilities is what it is. You're both sensitive to the other side and possibly you can just make things happen with your presence. speaker-1: it seemed like it because these things speaker-0: Yeah, I think speaker-1: have happened in so many different places. speaker-0: And that is something that like once you realize that like you might have some kind of ability is like when you realize that it's like we both grew up experiencing things our whole lives. Yeah. And it was stuff that like couldn't explain and then one day for both of us, like something happened where it was like all of a sudden we're like, this is more than just like experiencing something. Like we got something going on, like and This is more than just explaining away. Yeah. And it's like then when you acknowledge it is when it can start to happen more, but it's also like you kind of start to understand it a little bit. And like yeah, and it's a very we we always say you're like a lighthouse and you like draw them into you and so you'll get more experiences because like I was just talking to someone out there about it about about a lot of stuff that has happened in our house and like we've had a lot and like my husband did not believe in this until we started this podcast and then we started getting a lot of things happening and now he there's so many things that have happened that he can't deny it. Yes. And it's like but I I've experienced it my whole life. Like I there's you know and my had a very supportive mom where she grew up in a yeah not not as a supportive so I had learn a lot of it on my own. Yeah. Which is hard. It's its own speaker-1: That's how we're speaker-0: set of challenges. It's all challenging. All of it is all of it. But yeah, when you have i a mom who's like already into it and then you know, it yeah, it's it's genetic and that's that's what's happening. Yeah. speaker-1: It's yeah. It's definitely nice to like find people that you connect with like that. It's so hard to talk about. That's why it's like ugly. I'm like, speaker-0: Yeah. speaker-1: I'd rather remain remain anonymous because like I feel like there's very few people that I talk to about this because like they're gonna think that I'm insane. Well speaker-0: And we relate to that very much, especially me. Like I still struggle with like people like even being down here, I've seen a lot of people that are at my kids' schools who don't know this side of me. And like a lot of people don't know this side of me and it's 'cause people think you're insane. But it is when you find someone like we found each other a few years ago and that was like I was just starting to like be like, Okay, no, I have more than just like I see ghosts occasionally, like I got something going on. There's something like this is way more than what I thought it was, and we connected and this is how like our podcast got started was that and so it's like Yeah, and that's why we love getting people's paranormal stories because like we have people come on like you who are like I feel insane but we're like we've both been there and I feel insane half the time too. But then when you have someone else experience it too or whatever, you're like, okay, we can't all be insane. speaker-1: Right, well and that so I I realize I guess some years ago I'm just like, Okay, I'm not I'm not crazy. Like I know that this is happening. I just know that like majority of people don't have these experiences. speaker-0: No, they don't and they don't Or they do and they ignore it because society told speaker-1: Because they're just like speaker-0: them that it's none of this can be real. So you have to explain it away somehow. Exactly. We have been doing this podcast for long enough and we've gone through a lot of conspiracy theories and a lot of things and there's a lot out there about the public being told to not believe, especially with like aliens and this kind of stuff, like that it is documented and you know, that this stuff is real. But if people say they see these things or whatever, make them feel insane and to the point you they won't believe you anymore and that's what and it's they've very successfully done it. So they call us, you know, we are the lunatics over here 'cause we're all insane. Right. But or are we just the ones who like are we just away? Yeah, we're s we our senses are heightened. We can sense these people other people can't and you and you know that. It's like one of those how you are like You know you're like, I feel things you know. Like you know. Yeah. For sure. And it's just like yeah, you just it's I totally understand the not wanting you know people will think you're crazy, but you know. speaker-1: So when I when I was when I was pregnant with my daughter, when I was when I was pregnant with my daughter, I think that I had probably the most vivid experiences. speaker-0: very normal when you're pregnant by the way. speaker-1: Right. And so I have an I have an older son and I don't know if maybe if maybe I just wasn't in tune to it or because I was carrying a boy, if that was the difference. You know what I mean? It could be a few different things. But definitely when I was carrying my daughter, man, we were living in a townhouse and there was definitely a man figure that was there. all the time. Wow. speaker-0: Yeah, I'll speaker-1: And he wore like he wore a hat that had like a it was like a it was a brim type of hat. I don't even know what to call it. Like a speaker-0: Like a fedora or a speaker-1: Kind of. Yeah, okay. And he like I would I would just like wake up abruptly out of my sleep and like just instantly like my gaze would go from like my bed through the door to the stairwell and I could see him just like standing there nearby And speaker-0: Yeah. speaker-1: I would just be frozen 'cause I'm like that is not like an actual person there. Right. And it was Like the first couple times it happened, it was terrifying. Yeah. My husband wasn't there and then I have a seven year old who's sleeping down the hall and like trying to be like, Okay, wait. Mm that's not like that's speaker-0: You you have logic trying to kick into your brain. That's what we have to do. Yeah. speaker-1: Right. Like I like I'm like, this is that is a spirit. Like that 100 is a spirit. Yeah. Like that's not a person. Like that's a spirit. Like I, you know. Like we're okay. Yeah. We're s we're safe. but it happened so frequently, and I remember telling my husband about this. I'm like, it is the strangest thing. And it's like I don't it's it wasn't like a like a I don't know if it's because like the way that I woke up that it just felt startling. Yeah speaker-0: Yeah. speaker-1: i i it's hard to describe. Like it didn't feel it didn't feel like I was like I didn't feel like scared, like I should have been like Right. There's defin speaker-0: I mean, speaker-1: I've definitely had experience where I was just like like I remember s my God This is how I kn know this this is like a real thing. But like stopping like in my tracks and just speaking speaker-0: Yeah. speaker-1: out loud and be like, I do not like who you are. You need to go speaker-0: Yes. Yeah. And that's exactly I think we've all been there. Yeah. Exactly. Like I've had something in my house before and I've had to be like, you are not welcome here. This is only w I only allow like love and light and like good energy in here. Like get get the hell out of my house. Yeah. And that's speaker-1: Yeah. Yeah. speaker-0: yeah, you can sense that. Yeah. speaker-1: It's incredible, but like I have never had an experience like that, like that being so vivid. like outside of being pregnant with her, which is insane. So that was you know, eleven years ago at this point, but totally different house, different place or whatever. Yeah. So we lived in a a different place a few years ago and there was my my oldest who he was a he was a baby at the time and not my oldest, I'm sorry, my youngest was a baby at the time, just a you know few years ago. Yeah. And so my dad passed away. in two thousand five. speaker-0: Sorry to hear that. We're both members of the Dead Parent Club too. So not a fun club to be a part of, but we're we're both there. speaker-1: And he man, there was like so let me see where do I start? He he didn't say much until he was about three years old. Babbling wasn't something that he really did. speaker-0: Yeah. speaker-1: mama, dad, a couple words here and there. Yeah. And then one day I was like holding him and I w we were in the kitchen. He was about eighteen months old and I was like cooking something and I'm holding him on my hip and we're just like I'm just like swaying back and forth and he starts like humming a song. And the song, the artist is escaping me, but it was like, ooh baby, baby. I was like, I'm sorry, what? speaker-0: Yeah. speaker-1: Where that song came out before I was born. speaker-0: Yeah, like how do you know that? speaker-1: Yeah. But he would do this thing all the time where he would look over my shoulder and he like he would do this thing where he would like laugh and giggle and then he would look over this thing and he would laugh and I'm like like there's somebody there. Right. Assume that. Yeah. speaker-0: Well speaker-1: Right. So I assume that it was my dad. And then I mean like I I would hear things in the house. I would feel the energy in the house. It didn't feel bad. Right. speaker-0: And you there's such a difference. speaker-1: Yeah. So and then like the way that he would behave and the way that he would like interact with that energy, it felt very playful and whatnot. speaker-0: Yeah. speaker-1: And it was it was interesting to watch. man, so before we moved out, apparently there was like a couple times my my daughter, she was let's see, what was she maybe six at the time, she mentioned hearing something in the attic. She was like, I heard noises. And then my older son was like, he was like, it's probably just raccoons. speaker-0: Yeah. speaker-1: Right? I didn't hear about this until after the fact, but I'm like, first of all. speaker-0: Yeah. Like what? Yeah. Tell me? Yeah. speaker-1: You heard something like and you Yeah, like why don't you tell me and if you think it's raccoons maybe speaker-0: Like do you think that's tell speaker-1: say something? I don't know. So she heard that a couple times or whatever. And then after we moved out, we find out that like a little kid in that house had actually died like fifteen years earlier. And I was like Yeah. speaker-0: Yeah. speaker-1: So who's here? speaker-0: Yeah, yeah. Some months there, yeah. Right. But and also like kids just can like at before a certain age, like obviously also it's genetic. Like you said, it is genetic and it passes down. but it is like kids can sense things like your son being eighteen months old. Like you know, like you the veil's thin for them. They can still see and it's just so wild when babies and animals. Yeah. Yeah, babies and animals, that's it. And they can see it's just wild what they can see and acknowledge, and you're like, Yeah, that's so cool though. Yeah. I mean and legit. I mean Yeah. Yeah. speaker-1: Absolutely. That same house that I was telling you about where I was like painting and I kept seeing like the figure and I was like, okay. So my my mom still lives in that house and there have been several times where her dog has gone absolutely banana. She was like and it's been two separate dogs on different occasions. and it's been like one dog that she had for a few years living in that house that has like had the same reaction look like The dog was spooked and like jumped up in the bed behind the pillows and was just sh was like acting speaker-0: Shaking. Yeah. And that's you gotta trust the speaker-1: nuts, right? And then, you know, different dog years later the same way. Did the she was like, she did the exact same thing he did and all these years later and then she would go and like Just seemed really spooked and freaked out and like went and hid in like the bathtub in a different bathroom. I know, I'm like speaker-0: my god. But yeah, you know they see it. It's like, yeah, we've we're right now our dog keeps barking at our kitchen in our kitchen area at nothing and it's been going on for a few weeks now and we can't figure out what it is and we know that it's something and she gets real weird and she'll like sit on the couch and looks straight into our kitchen at something and we're like we don't know what's going on but it's like a constant situation we've been been like okay what could it be that's logic? Because we like we always try and be like what logically could this be that could make sense. Yes. Because you know, I we love to paranormal investigate this is our podcast we love this stuff but we're always like okay let's try and see if like something that's going on is right at you before before we go back to like before we go on our absolute fighty senses we haven't figured it out yet so you know I mean and our house is I'm a lighthouse I have we bring I bring stuff in all the time accidentally whoops so what do you do? Just tolerate it that's awesome. Thank you for your stuff. No thank you for coming on we really appreciate it. That was great. That's you know embrace speaker-1: It was a lot. I know. speaker-0: I know it's not at all. That was great. speaker-1: No it doesn't speaker-0: And you're just told that your life experience is weird or off or wrong or whatever. And it's not, it's just your life experience. And there's a lot of other people that have a very similar life. Yeah, and a lot of people just don't talk about it. Like Exhibit A. Yeah. I never talk about it. Well, I do now, but I didn't for a long time. And I still don't broadcast it. You know, now it's getting out there more. But you know, it isn't, but you just get worried. I'm like, okay, people are gonna think I'm insane, but like speaker-1: Not with the podcast though, you have like like minded people who are like speaker-0: Well and I think it's like me, right? It's when we get people like you on or like who want to come in and talk and we're like, we're not gonna sit here and look at you and be like, that shit's made up. We're like, no, we've experienced that too. We know what that's like. We've been there, done that bought the t-shirt, and been made to feel stupid. And we're like, well, you may not think that I see shit all the time. Yeah. Well thank you for coming on, we really appreciate it. speaker-1: Thank you. Thank you for letting me share. speaker-0: my god. Well that was I think that went way better than we expected. Way better and we had a lot more people just come up and tell our stories that didn't want to be on air. Yeah, that just had little like small stories and they'd be like, it's not good enough for air and they tell us and we're like You should have been great. But I get it. But trying to get a few of my friends to come on and they're like, Absolutely not. Yeah. I mean, which we get it. But we appreciate every single one of you who did come on and tell your stories, to you know we're It was a fun day. It was such a fun day.
