- 3:57this disclaimer. I am not here responsible for anything you do, how do,
- 4:03what you feel, or how you or what you do. After we

- 4:14the title list, I'm telling you this book it's gonna get you in trouble.
- 4:19Okay. So I have my repeating guests, author Nicole S. Brown.
- 4:27She's here with us tonight. Now. Last week we talked about her
- 4:30being an author, but tonight, we're gonna talk about her book, her
- 4:34poetry book, Wet Dreams. Come on out, girl, because we got
- 4:40a lot to talk about tonight. How are you. I'm doing good.
- 4:46How are you? I'm good? I'm good. How was you for?
- 4:50It was good? We had fun. You have fun? All right?
- 4:55So we have barbecue and gumbo. Yes, barbecue and gumbook, and I
- 5:00see that's what we talked about. So before we died into this book,
- 5:06tell everyone a little bit about yourself. Hi everyone, I'm author Nicolas Brown.
- 5:14I'm owner operator Poetry at Best, where we literally serve you the best.
- 5:17I'm an author of over Well. I'm working on sixteen, seventeen or
- 5:23eighteens right now. I have fifteen books that are available and many online retailers,
- 5:30including Amazon. My book with Dreams is the book that we're going to
- 5:34be talking about tonight, and it actuality is my most popular book. I'm
- 5:41from Monroe, Louisiana, but I'm streaming out of Baton Rouge today. All
- 5:46right. Woo, So, Wet Dreams, Wet Dreams, Wet Dreams.
- 5:54What year did you write this book? I wrote this in twenty twenty two,
- 6:00so this is like a pandemic baby type book. Yes, yeah,
- 6:04I can tell you you had. You had a lot of times on your
- 6:10heads. So give us a round about what Wet Dreams is about. If
- 6:15if this is the first time ever hearing about your book in ten words or
- 6:24less, give us a roundabout feel of this book. Wet Dreams has three
- 6:30sections, spicy, mouth and medium, and it's not for everybody, is
- 6:40for the real twenty one and the real twenty one and not the fate twenty
- 6:45one. You said spicy mile and medium. Mm hm. Did you see
- 6:50some of these titles you got? You thought a spicy mile and medium one
- 6:55of these things should be a tonic. I mean, come on, I
- 7:00mean her audience gonna tell you there are gonna there's gonna be some language.
- 7:08We are going to me and her talk so you we won't be saying the
- 7:13entire word. We will be saying certain like d or P, but we
- 7:18will not say the entire word. I am going to respect the audience,
- 7:23but I'm gonna tell you now, this is my type of book to read.
- 7:26I love erotica books. I love erotica poetry. It's one of the
- 7:30most beautiful things. If it's done properly. Okay, some people be running
- 7:35out now. I ain't gonna lie. Some of your poems they make me
- 7:41blush, like, oh Lord Jesus Christ, what is she about? The
- 7:45right next? But hum, what would you say is your mildest point in
- 7:54this book? Or let me reprace that, let me rephrase that. It's
- 8:01the title your table of contents. Does the neither a sauce go up or
- 8:11it's just randomly put together? It goes up? They they go up so
- 8:16like there's a section called the Flood of Freakiness. That's my mile section.
- 8:24And then they go up as I put them, as I loaded the poetry
- 8:28in, they go up as you know, the spicy spiciness goes up so
- 8:35and then the next the next section is the Pond of Perversion, and that's
- 8:41that's the medium, and it also goes up, goes you know, as
- 8:46it gets spicier. And then the last one is called the River of Launchiness.
- 8:56And the last poem in the book is called arowdal a clause. Yes,
- 9:03y'all, I'm gonna be making faces tonight. Let you know it's gonna
- 9:09be a roller coaster ride. So what brought about? What dreams? I
- 9:15mean, how do you sit and I like that. I would like to
- 9:20ask a lot of authors who write this genre, because this is one of
- 9:24those genres that doesn't get that much attention, as it can say, but
- 9:33what makes you sit down there and write and not worry about what others may
- 9:41think of your work? Well, it's a way to me to express myself.
- 9:52And I feel like, you know every part of me. Everybody has
- 9:58a part of them. Everybody has that side of them. They It may
- 10:01not be as seductive as other people, but everybody has that side of them,
- 10:11even people that don't even say that they do. They're tell them a
- 10:15falsehood. Okay, that is true. A lot of people have that side
- 10:20in themselves. And it's like how they say to women, be a woman
- 10:24in public in freaking to bed. But you bought the freaking out like you
- 10:28brought her up. You just displayed the freak I mean, she's like,
- 10:33hey, like when I first picked up your book, and this is when
- 10:39you were on another podcastist of mine before you win on her show, I
- 10:45have already read your book, So me reading it again, I'm like,
- 10:48I didn't catch that the first time, Like I didn't catch that, And
- 10:54that's why I don't read books only once. I don't have a problem reading
- 10:56books twice because there are things that you may of God, But I find
- 11:01myself like blushing, blushing now because it's like, yo, I actually know
- 11:09what some like I've been in the mind of the authors, so I can.
- 11:15I got a good set up of what's going on. So have you
- 11:18ever has your work ever gotten you denied from something? Well, not denied,
- 11:35but I've gotten backlass from it. You know a lot of backlass from
- 11:39me. You know, stuff unwanted videos, I wanted photos, mad mad,
- 11:50mad wives talking about my husband wanted to try this and if you want
- 11:54to if we want to have had that book, you know that kind of
- 11:56stuff, uh, mad girlfriends, just it, you name it. I
- 12:07probably didn't had it. As far as backlash from this book, guys that
- 12:11have read the book say, and is this really you? Cause like I
- 12:16was a quiet girl in school from K through twelve, and you know,
- 12:22people found out that I wrote this book and they're like, Okay, this
- 12:26girl, she was quiet. We didn't mess with her, you know,
- 12:30we didn't get out of the pocket with her and that matter, and her
- 12:33dad, you know, held her on the tightly sh and you know her
- 12:37brother was really tight, you know, we didn't mess with her like that.
- 12:41And she write like this, I wonder if it's really hug in the
- 12:45book that she's talking about, cause it's many guys, so many guys that
- 12:48I went to school with are asking me, is that book really about you
- 12:52that you wrote? If so, here's my phone number. Okay, wow,
- 13:05that's okay. So what poem in this book? If you had to
- 13:13choose one to give to someone that best describes this overall book, what poet
- 13:22would it be? Oh gosh, that's hard because I it's so many in
- 13:30there that that stand out. But one of my favorites in this book is
- 13:35beautiful chocolate man. Okay, okay. So it started. It started out
- 13:43as a joke because two of my friends one day we were in the car
- 13:48and I was playing on writing a book. And one day today we're in
- 13:54the car going from the grocery store and they were talking about how they like
- 13:58light scan men and I was like, I don't really, that's I mean,
- 14:01that's not my cup of teeth. I said, I like mine dark,
- 14:05like dark like a tire, you know. And she was like and
- 14:07they were like why and I was like, well, it's like, well,
- 14:11when you're in the dark, it's like you being fucked bygo. She
- 14:15can't tell. All you can see is eyeballs and teeth. And they fell
- 14:18out left, they fell out that. They was like, don't you ever
- 14:22don't you ever write there? Don't you ever write there? And I did?
- 14:26She said, eyebows and teeth. Okay, So, okay, what
- 14:39is the mildest point that you have in this book? I see some of
- 14:43them. The titles are very deceiving. You would think it's just something so
- 14:50innocent, but when you read the book, you're like, oh, snap,
- 14:54okay, So which is the mouthest I would think I would think your
- 15:03spirit would be the mildest one. And what made you write that one?
- 15:09Is that because of the love that you have for someone or how to you
- 15:15feel while you were in the act. It's the love? Yeah, the
- 15:18love and in the act? Yeah, okay, okay, okay, So
- 15:28you guys, we're gonna take a break real quick, and we're gonna come
- 15:31back and we're gonna get to the sauce. And and like I said,
- 15:56uh, turn off the light a candle snight on them agin think of Shawa
- 16:18shower together. I was somebodic you was so wealthy? Got sixty seconds Take
- 16:40a mental health minute to learn about depression disorders. They cause symptoms that affect
- 16:45how you feel, how you think, and how you handle daily life.
- 16:52Depression should be treated by health professionals, don't try to handle it alone or
- 16:59treated with alcohol or illegal drugs. Treatments include psychotherapy or talk therapy, medication,
- 17:07and sometimes brain stimulation therapy. These treatments may also be used in combination
- 17:12with one another. If you think you might have depression, talk to a
- 17:15trusted friend, family member, or healthcare provider. The earlier treatment begins,
- 17:22the more effective it is. Learn more about depression through the NIMH website and
- 17:27take sixty seconds to share this mental health minute to help someone else. Hey,
- 17:38you guys who are back in. I think that Teddy Pendergrass was a
- 17:42perfect song. Woo we ended that. So I understand that you have some
- 17:51poetry that you have a piece that you want to share tonight. Okay,
- 17:56so I'm just accident. Please remember when we talk about he got it on,
- 18:03so we can have some type of respect for the audience. But once
- 18:04you go ahead and you know, do that piece for us tonight. Okay,
- 18:11it's the one that I just told you about that came from the joke.
- 18:15It's called beautiful chocolate man. A beautiful chocolate man is what I love
- 18:22the most because behind closed doors and in the dark, the very doubt of
- 18:26a dark skinned man causes my flames a freaking It's a spark after a romantic
- 18:32dinner at home or a picnic in a park, sexy atmosphere for doing it
- 18:34in the dark, I promise you. A chocolate man is what I love
- 18:41the most because when we play in the sheets, it's like I'd be an
- 18:44f by ghost. All I can see is our boss and teeth and feel
- 18:48their strength beneath a beautiful chocolate man. Ha ha ha ha. I'm not
- 18:53a white chick, but I most definitely love a big back d What a
- 18:59beautiful chocolate man, ha ha ha ha. I swear it's like I'm being
- 19:03f by a ghost. A beautiful chocolate man is what I love the most.
- 19:08That's that piece, all right, chocolate man. So if we got
- 19:15if we have anybody in the celebrity music industry, I'm not even gonna give
- 19:22it a genre. I'm just gonna say music. Who would be that man
- 19:27that was standing in the place of this brother you're talking about, the beautiful
- 19:33chocolate man. Yes, if you can choose musical celebrity celebrity, it gotta
- 19:41be musical. It can't be like an actor. Well, we can go
- 19:45to actors, we can Okay, who would it be if it's an actor
- 19:49eldress. I can't say this last name. You know who I'm talking about.
- 19:56You know you're talking about. I can't say Daddy's Little Girls, Telepard
- 20:04Yeah, yeah, yeah, get that, get that. I don't know
- 20:15what would be for me. I mean old school with a butt, with
- 20:22a dark skinned man with an old school with a single Who are you going
- 20:26to? L Green? Yeah? She went to the Loving Happiness, not
- 20:33the al Green Green. I think he was nice looking, to be honest,
- 20:41and he got the grit storing on it. Yeah, And I know
- 20:45why I'm skiing. No, don't set yourself up. Don't you do it?
- 20:56Don't you mind? And I was gonna ask why, but I feel
- 21:00like I'm about to set myself up. So okay, I agree. I
- 21:07like all of his music. Love and Happiness Beautiful, that's my favorite by
- 21:12him. Look all right, all right for me? If I have to
- 21:15go old school. If I really have to go old school, I really
- 21:22adore Greg grey Hines. I really do adore Greg gret Hines. Now if
- 21:30I have to come new school, I really don't know. None of these
- 21:34people I really don't like don't listen to the radio. But if I had
- 21:41to choose somebody and they're really not in new school, I would really choose
- 21:47Anthony Hamilton. He's just looking as well a little sweetheart ever, so I
- 21:53love him his music. Charleneh there you go. If you had one point
- 22:02in this book that you would tell somebody, do not read this in front
- 22:11of anything, like you have to just buy yourself. Which point would it
- 22:17be in clean version? Why? Uh? Supers super Soker and and clean
- 22:29version? Why why? Because it's like a sarm is like imitating a sermon
- 22:37ad church, but it's really not they have. It's talking about a man
- 22:42and a woman having their own version of church. And another way that Superslker.
- 22:52Now you're about to make me go find it. You're about to make
- 22:56me go find it, it said page I'm about to find Yes, I
- 23:02had the actual book open and that's what I was looking at on the side,
- 23:06all right, let me see. Oh okay, So now I'm about
- 23:11to hit something. And you can ask this if you want to, and
- 23:14if you don't want to. And I'm about to hit a nerve. And
- 23:19you, guys, the only reason why I'm about to hit this nerve because
- 23:23I hate the fact that we act like that group of people do not do
- 23:30this. But how would you feel as someone who read that you're this,
- 23:34this point right here was heavy into the church? How would how would you
- 23:45justify this point to them? Well, I'm I was heaving in a church.
- 23:49That's why I did. That's why I did it because of the simple
- 23:56fact that you know, we know we we because people don't talk about that
- 24:06at church, and and and they should. You know, God made that
- 24:11just like God made other things too, and it was meant to be used
- 24:15for one thing. But that's just like the the taboo not to mention that.
- 24:22But then you get mad when sister so and so get pregnant at you
- 24:26know, in the you know, and then you put her out of the
- 24:29cross there, but you ain't talking about it to nobody, so why put
- 24:33them out? I didn't. I wasn't gonna go there. But yeah,
- 24:38and while you're talking and reading the poet and then I remember because I remember
- 24:42that one line and I said, oh my god, you have that one
- 24:48line and the poem that says can I get a witness? And I remember
- 24:52now reading the poem, I was like, if you now did all that,
- 24:53you're gonna ask for a witness? Like who? I remember that now?
- 25:02And I'm like, I remember reading it. I'm like, oh God,
- 25:04will life be so be able to get in the door after reading this?
- 25:07And then in the very end it says can I get a witness?
- 25:11And then you had to nerve the end of a man that's lordie. I
- 25:17can't. I can't. I can't. So if you can have any female
- 25:25artists two to perform and perform as an speak one of your points, who
- 25:36would it be? What point? And why? Mm hmm? What's the
- 25:45girl name? The girl that played cooking Taj P. Hanson handsen tarage your
- 25:57pen hand saying, and I would want her to say, let me see
- 26:03it, yeah, the one you had last Yeah, ooh jesus, Okay,
- 26:12okay, okay. I can say Jill Scott and I would say your
- 26:22touch. I can really see her performing your touch subtitle I really miss you
- 26:30that's I think that might be your fourth or your fifth point. That one
- 26:33is very sentimental, very very sentimental, and I think that might have been
- 26:37the most sentimental one you had in it. Can I ask, how are
- 26:42you feeling when you wrote that? Because that one it touched the heart.
- 26:48I'm like, yo, she she really loved whoever that was, though,
- 26:51when she was really feeling whoever that was when she wrote that poem. So
- 26:56what was your mindset when you wrote your really miss it? I really was
- 27:03really missing that person, and uh was recollecting some of the good times we
- 27:10had together, and and uh just remembering every part of it, you know,
- 27:18the good and the bad. Okay, okay, So you have another
- 27:26one private concert? Who was singing? I was singing? You know,
- 27:37I met that the person that inspired that poem. I met that person singing.
- 27:45You met that person, saying okay, so you have a question,
- 27:48they said, So what type of book is this? Again? This is
- 27:51a book of erotic poetry. It has three sections. That's my one is
- 27:56mild, one is medium, one is I see, it's not for everybody,
- 28:03it's for the real twenty one it up and private concert is a private
- 28:11concert. It's like you know, were singing and then we singing if you
- 28:19get what I mean, No, Jesus, that was a celebrate the So
- 28:26another question that has was what was your inspiration for this book? My inspiration
- 28:34was I wanted to share with the world another side of me, and that
- 28:44it was inspired by some relationship that I was involved in, but not all
- 28:51of it was. But some of it was fantasy and some of it was
- 28:55reality as well. You're just gonna have to figure out which one was reality
- 29:00other than which one is fad to say, I'm scared to figure out which
- 29:03one was which because it was hard to figure out. I mean, is
- 29:07there clues to which one? Because I mean, yo, you went from
- 29:12the morning Ain't the Morning after to Gangster Be, so I'm thinking being yeah,
- 29:23and then somebody showed up and kind of messed up the flow. So
- 29:27that's the vibe I got from that, So that the case, well,
- 29:40Gangster Being was like, yeah, stuff was cool, and then a certain
- 29:48a certain individual got in the mix and then it kind of got messed up.
- 29:53But it's still that's where really the kink and is started getting into it,
- 30:00you know. The so, Okay, somebody wants to know will there
- 30:08be a part two. It might because I have quite a few erotic pieces
- 30:15that I've written and some that I that are on my list that I haven't
- 30:18written yet, and they might be a little bit more out there than the
- 30:23other ones, than the wet dreams to hold up. So you're telling me
- 30:33there is a poem that you have sitting back that's called that that's more elaborate
- 30:45than more than twenty five showers in less than forty five seconds? Mhm?
- 30:51Is that even in a book yet? I mean, it's that even Wow,
- 31:02It's yeah, I compared Karma to a sexy woman who Okay, so
- 31:14I just I just I'm just wow. So what is next for often Nicol
- 31:22S. Brown? What what are we looking at? You know it?
- 31:26You know, it might be another rotic book because I have enough and a
- 31:32lot of people want to see that one about Karmo the Sexiest Chick Alive and
- 31:37on paper, you know, printed out, you know, because every time
- 31:41I say that poem Karma the Sexiest Shick Alive, guys are like, Karma,
- 31:47can I have your phone number? And I'm like, that's not even
- 31:49what it's all about? You know, So you you you you I'm stunning
- 31:59you can y'all hear me. I'm studying you have poetry that have men contact
- 32:07you too? They say, they say yeah, they say Carbo. You
- 32:15know when I'm talking about Carmo, you know, Karma being sexy and what
- 32:21she doing all of that, They be like, Calma, here's my phone
- 32:24number, call my eyes, the pathy and all kind of stuff. They
- 32:29Okay, I might be gladen in for a punishment, but I'm gonna ask
- 32:35this question, what is the craziest reaction that you have gotten from? What
- 32:42treats? Well? You really want to know? A cord notice? A
- 32:54cord notice? What why? If you can tell me? Well, I
- 33:08can tell you a little bit. I'm not a I'm not a woman scorned.
- 33:15No. Uh, it was a woman that was scorned that did the
- 33:22court notice because you know, it's stuff in there that in the book that
- 33:28could have that should have she should have gotten, she should have gone.
- 33:36She should have been criminated for you know what I'm saying, adjudicated for you
- 33:42know, because I don't know if you read some one of the poems in
- 33:45there, and I don't know what, I don't want to say the name
- 33:51of it. You know that's what she was, Yeah, do you want
- 34:00to answer that question. I were, Yeah, I was, and one
- 34:06that went wrong. It was really with five. It was really supposed to
- 34:09be just one person. And that's what the person got sent the court notice
- 34:15for because she didn't want people to know that, you know, she set
- 34:20that up. Did you say did you say five? Okay? Yeah,
- 34:35I said five. It was supposed to be just one and it was for
- 34:39the guys in there, and I had to save my life, you know,
- 34:45I had to do what I had to do to save my life.
- 34:49Wow. So that's the reason why the courtdodas got said because it was a
- 34:55chick that set that up because she didn't want me ended up with her boyfriend
