- 0:24Speaker 3: album out, movie Part two.
- 0:27Speaker 2: The Equal, The Equal, seriously Equal.
- 0:31Speaker 3: You know, it's been what like ten years since the
- 0:35Speaker 3: first one, Hife twenty fifteen. Yeah, okay, so why was
- 0:42Speaker 3: it time to come back together and reunite and make
- 0:46Speaker 3: DJ Min's dick hard.
- 0:51Speaker 2: I mean, I mean I just feel like I just
- 0:55Speaker 2: feel like, uh though just the world needed that that
- 1:00Speaker 2: that energy and uh I feel like that's what the
- 1:05Speaker 2: games were missing, so like and you know, get me
- 1:10Speaker 2: bring the vice backer and getting back with Cool John. Uh,
- 1:13Speaker 2: it was just it was I mean, it's something that
- 1:15Speaker 2: we've always wanted to do. I think it was just like, actually,
- 1:18Speaker 2: you know who really put the battery in my back
- 1:20Speaker 2: about it?
- 1:21Speaker 3: Nick Knack. Wow shot to Nicknack.
- 1:23Speaker 2: I was like, I was, I was a little because
- 1:24Speaker 2: Nick Nak has a studio down the hall for me,
- 1:27Speaker 2: and uh, he's in there, Like I'm just like going
- 1:31Speaker 2: to say, like, oh right, broad like he's in there
- 1:34Speaker 2: kind of like he's in there kind of drunk. He's
- 1:36Speaker 2: just he's just when he's just in there talking hell,
- 1:38Speaker 2: it ships.
- 1:38Speaker 4: To me like, bro, you gotta get you gotta do,
- 1:42Speaker 4: you gotta do cool John Poor two, Like he's like
- 1:45Speaker 4: on my head, like yeah, and I really put a
- 1:48Speaker 4: battery in my back.
- 1:49Speaker 3: And then.
- 1:50Speaker 1: Yeah, you had the name for it like a couple.
- 1:53Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, we had the name with it, like we
- 1:57Speaker 3: got to come back with the eal.
- 1:58Speaker 1: It always been just like little little shit.
- 2:00Speaker 5: He's been just saying that he and the air and
- 2:01Speaker 5: stuff like that, but it was, but it was recently
- 2:04Speaker 5: he was just like, let's do it, let's lock in.
- 2:06Speaker 3: I feel like too, like like you said, it's something
- 2:09Speaker 3: that's missing. I feel like the like you guys always have,
- 2:13Speaker 3: Like like I feel like old school HBK was always
- 2:15Speaker 3: about fun.
- 2:15Speaker 2: Yeah for sure, you know what I'm saying.
- 2:17Speaker 1: Always fun.
- 2:18Speaker 3: I feel like since Peel has been taking himself a
- 2:19Speaker 3: little more serious as an artists, he's not as much
- 2:21Speaker 3: about fun.
- 2:22Speaker 5: Oh we having hell of fun. He has fun, but
- 2:27Speaker 5: it's like you know, we got to bring the vice back.
- 2:29Speaker 5: Somebody got to do it. You know, the window open,
- 2:32Speaker 5: we might.
- 2:32Speaker 3: As well, you know what I'm saying. But through that thing, Yeah,
- 2:36Speaker 3: and I thought it was dope to see. And then
- 2:37Speaker 3: you guys have been like shooting some really dope content.
- 2:39Speaker 3: How how well thought out? Was like which movies you
- 2:42Speaker 3: guys were gonna? Uh? First of all, for people who
- 2:45Speaker 3: are culturally deprived, the album cover is homage to Mario
- 2:51Speaker 3: Brothers the movie Yes, Yeah, Yeah, the live action, the
- 2:55Speaker 3: live action which nobody ever talks about.
- 2:57Speaker 5: Yeah, because I think it really sucked like back in
- 3:00Speaker 5: the days, but it's a classic when you grow up
- 3:03Speaker 5: like this.
- 3:03Speaker 3: It's like Belly, the post on the mall.
- 3:06Speaker 6: Belly sucks, like the overall we got to shot back
- 3:11Speaker 6: and like Belly was good, I'm gonna say, like this
- 3:13Speaker 6: esthetically great, but esthetically great like it was cinetopic.
- 3:17Speaker 5: The cinematography for sure, it's like excellent, the lighting, just everything, acting,
- 3:22Speaker 5: the storyline, but the story dogs like what the fuck?
- 3:26Speaker 3: Like what the hell? I think everybody felt that way. No,
- 3:29Speaker 3: I didn't feel that classic moments though it has classical
- 3:32Speaker 3: for sure, But when I was a kid, I didn't
- 3:33Speaker 3: feel that way. I was like DMX and nos in
- 3:35Speaker 3: a movie. I was just like, I was like, amen,
- 3:37Speaker 3: when you guys announced this album.
- 3:38Speaker 2: Hard d that is peak.
- 3:43Speaker 3: Yet peaked, dear bags, and then Nos, I want to
- 3:45Speaker 3: go to Africa. Be right. It's a good, good movie.
- 3:49Speaker 3: But yeah, Super Mario movie was.
- 3:52Speaker 2: Questionable.
- 3:53Speaker 3: It's still a classic. It's like it's like a cult classics,
- 3:56Speaker 3: Like it's like a cultural time piece. Right, So you
- 4:00Speaker 3: guys had like where are all the movies you guys
- 4:03Speaker 3: have kind of, I guess done renditions of to promote
- 4:08Speaker 3: the album. You guys did pulp fiction, right.
- 4:10Speaker 2: Pulp fiction, back to the future, give me some but.
- 4:17Speaker 3: Head nice, what's the what's the first one?
- 4:20Speaker 1: Was? Just? The first one was?
- 4:22Speaker 2: Uh yeah, Friday, Friday, Friday Friday?
- 4:29Speaker 3: What else?
- 4:31Speaker 2: Breaking bad, breaking bad? Uh uh, Fast and Furious.
- 4:36Speaker 3: We haven't left that one. But yeah, do you guys
- 4:41Speaker 3: feel like there would ever be a possibility of like
- 4:45Speaker 3: a like a real HBK reunion, like a real one,
- 4:50Speaker 3: Like you guys are like a part of the HBK gang.
- 4:53Speaker 3: So this is nice, you know, yeah for sure, but
- 4:55Speaker 3: like in terms of like you know, just bringing like
- 4:59Speaker 3: two around and you know, some of the other guys there.
- 5:02Speaker 2: Yeah, no, I think I think that's all possible.
- 5:04Speaker 3: Yeah for sure.
- 5:05Speaker 5: We just we were just at our sexual stage, came
- 5:07Speaker 5: out and with us and stuff like we still all
- 5:09Speaker 5: work together and stuff like that.
- 5:11Speaker 3: So I'm pretty sure it's possible to happen. Yeah for sure.
- 5:13Speaker 3: Like if if it makes sense, you guys were doing,
- 5:17Speaker 3: like what the christ was the Christmas every year was
- 5:19Speaker 3: a Halloween followe.
- 5:21Speaker 5: Yeah, it's like two shows at night. Yeah, so that
- 5:25Speaker 5: she was liters here. We should have kept that going on, just.
- 5:28Speaker 3: For sure, or you guys should do your own version
- 5:30Speaker 3: of it the fucking you know, the night at the movies.
- 5:32Speaker 2: Yeah yeah maybe maybe maybe some popcorn you know what
- 5:37Speaker 2: I'm saying.
- 5:38Speaker 3: You guys come out and perform.
- 5:40Speaker 2: Yeah yeah yeah, okay yeah Mart Yeah. I mean I
- 5:45Speaker 2: mean like since like all this stuff's been going on
- 5:48Speaker 2: and like the reaction that that all this stuff has
- 5:51Speaker 2: been getting, like we've kind of been even just like
- 5:53Speaker 2: thinking about like actually like putting like a movie together.
- 5:58Speaker 1: To be tired.
- 5:59Speaker 3: Mm hmm, like like like a real movie or like
- 6:01Speaker 3: like a mini movie.
- 6:03Speaker 2: Yeah, like a real movie.
- 6:04Speaker 3: You guys should why not write a script? I feel
- 6:08Speaker 3: like there should be like a Bay Area version of
- 6:10Speaker 3: like just there's not like shout to Berner. He just
- 6:13Speaker 3: put out what's the name of Berner's movie, fucking splash
- 6:17Speaker 3: Splash City, I can say bip city City. So but
- 6:23Speaker 3: I feel like that is like like there should be
- 6:25Speaker 3: like a very ill like Bay Area comedy. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah,
- 6:29Speaker 3: I feel like you guys are super underrepresented, like and
- 6:31Speaker 3: when it comes to like like culture, but you guys
- 6:34Speaker 3: are the culture for real.
- 6:35Speaker 2: Yeah, like like yeah, like I feel like that's I
- 6:37Speaker 2: feel like it would be like you like the Barrier
- 6:43Speaker 2: version of like Friday or you know what I'm talking about,
- 6:47Speaker 2: like like like a buddy comedy.
- 6:49Speaker 3: Buddy comedy, that's what it's gonna be.
- 6:50Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 6:51Speaker 3: What was that movie with Asap Rocky cap G was
- 6:54Speaker 3: in it? Man, fucking movie was on Netflix. I talk
- 6:58Speaker 3: about dope. Yeah, like a Bayery version of that would
- 7:01Speaker 3: be hard that. Yeah, we definitely need that for the
- 7:04Speaker 3: culture for sure.
- 7:05Speaker 2: Like a predicted like you get put in a predicament
- 7:08Speaker 2: and you guys just.
- 7:08Speaker 3: Get put in a little predicted figure that shit out. Yeah, somebody, Oh,
- 7:12Speaker 3: someone BIPs your car and they steal like a fucking
- 7:16Speaker 3: family heirloom.
- 7:17Speaker 2: Ah, there we go okay, okay, now we're cooking.
- 7:21Speaker 3: Now you guys can go like straight Temu horror flick.
- 7:26Speaker 3: You guys bip a car and you steal something that's cursed.
- 7:30Speaker 3: Oh and no matter what, you can't. You try to
- 7:32Speaker 3: throw it away because it's like some creepy ass ship.
- 7:34Speaker 3: But then you wake up the morning it's in your
- 7:35Speaker 3: living room and you're like, wait a minute, I threw
- 7:37Speaker 3: this away and then it just like follows you and
- 7:40Speaker 3: then like.
- 7:40Speaker 2: Whoa, okay, we got some executive production, right producer right.
- 7:46Speaker 1: Here, it would be good.
- 7:46Speaker 2: Come on, come on, we can go straight to straight
- 7:48Speaker 2: to two be uh.
- 7:49Speaker 3: So, hey, man, I haven't seen you in a long time.
- 7:52Speaker 3: Well I saw you recently and the LA function, which
- 7:55Speaker 3: you guys performed then. But uh, for people who don't
- 7:58Speaker 3: know you were shocked what happened? Man? I mean obviously
- 8:02Speaker 3: you're good, Thank god.
- 8:03Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 8:03Speaker 5: I was just basically just case, like somebody they just
- 8:06Speaker 5: followed me and just try to rob me.
- 8:09Speaker 3: Shot me six times? Six times is a serious. Was
- 8:13Speaker 3: like the home invasion, So they went into your crib.
- 8:16Speaker 3: That's got to be terrible.
- 8:17Speaker 4: Man.
- 8:18Speaker 5: Yeah she was, and she was weak as fuck. I mean,
- 8:20Speaker 5: but shit, it's just a learning lesson feel me. Luckily
- 8:23Speaker 5: didn't cost me my life. But yeah, I got shot
- 8:25Speaker 5: six times, two in his arm, on his own arm,
- 8:28Speaker 5: my rib, my butt, and my right leg.
- 8:30Speaker 3: And they were following you for Do you know how
- 8:33Speaker 3: long they were following you? No? I don't even know.
- 8:36Speaker 3: It's so crazy, like until someone like until something crazy
- 8:40Speaker 3: because that's happened to me, where someone's following me and
- 8:42Speaker 3: like jacked me. Now I'm like super on top of
- 8:45Speaker 3: like thinking the ship I would never think of.
- 8:48Speaker 5: Yeah, it makes you sharper though, yeah, it makes you
- 8:50Speaker 5: sharper for little PTSD. But but it's like at the
- 8:56Speaker 5: same time, make you sharper.
- 8:57Speaker 1: You know.
- 8:57Speaker 5: It's the type of way you should be moving. If
- 8:59Speaker 5: you're have some type of name, you're popular, you have
- 9:02Speaker 5: something something, if you carry some things of value, you
- 9:05Speaker 5: should be watching every you know what I'm saying. You
- 9:07Speaker 5: should keep your head on the swipers. You should be
- 9:09Speaker 5: making sure nobody's following. You should be you know, very aware,
- 9:13Speaker 5: you know what I'm saying, because when you're not, you
- 9:15Speaker 5: have your guard down, so anything can happen at that point.
- 9:17Speaker 1: You know, if you if you're wearing.
- 9:20Speaker 5: Jewelry, if you're somebody, because we always gotta remember what's
- 9:23Speaker 5: small to us might be big to the next person.
- 9:26Speaker 3: You know what I'm saying, I don't even give I
- 9:27Speaker 3: don't give a fuck about nothing this shit.
- 9:28Speaker 1: You know what I'm saying.
- 9:29Speaker 5: I can get that shit back tomorrow. But with somebody
- 9:31Speaker 5: they're looking at you like, oh my god, Like.
- 9:34Speaker 3: All I need is that All I need is that chain,
- 9:35Speaker 3: All I need is that bag, that sack of weed
- 9:38Speaker 3: or whatever, you know what I mean, or whatever the
- 9:40Speaker 3: fuck they think they gonna get, and they willing to
- 9:42Speaker 3: throw away.
- 9:43Speaker 1: They life for that ship.
- 9:44Speaker 3: You know, did they catch the guy? No, I don't
- 9:47Speaker 3: know did like, like who was there to? Like, was
- 9:51Speaker 3: somebody at your house to help you? So when I
- 9:53Speaker 3: got shot, they ran through the house. I got shot
- 9:55Speaker 3: on the porch and they ran through the house and
- 9:59Speaker 3: they didn't really get nothing. So when they when they
- 10:02Speaker 3: left the house, uh, they left and ran out because
- 10:05Speaker 3: it was it was real quick whatever like that. They
- 10:07Speaker 3: couldn't find it until they left and I got up
- 10:10Speaker 3: off the porch, I had to go back in the
- 10:11Speaker 3: house shot up, kicked down the door because it was
- 10:14Speaker 3: just like laiding on the floor in the closet where
- 10:17Speaker 3: they laid him down at whatever like that. They told
- 10:18Speaker 3: me like come to the hunted, you know, don't get
- 10:20Speaker 3: up whatever like that. Some I get back up, I'm
- 10:23Speaker 3: stumbling in the house.
- 10:24Speaker 5: I had to kick the door in his room, and
- 10:27Speaker 5: I'm like, bro, I'm shot, calling nine one one.
- 10:28Speaker 1: I'm I'm hit and.
- 10:30Speaker 5: Trying to try to turn around stabilize myself. And then
- 10:32Speaker 5: like when you feel like you when you dying, you
- 10:34Speaker 5: you get tired, you lose. I lost a lot of blood,
- 10:37Speaker 5: so I got shot in my artery, in my right arm.
- 10:39Speaker 5: So when you when you when you when you dying,
- 10:41Speaker 5: when you feel like you're dying, you get tired. I
- 10:43Speaker 5: couldn't even I was like trying to walk back. I
- 10:45Speaker 5: couldn't even walk. I just sat down on the couch.
- 10:47Speaker 5: It was like shit, Like I was just more mad.
- 10:50Speaker 5: But I think what kept me alive was me just
- 10:51Speaker 5: being calm because I lost a lot of blood and
- 10:53Speaker 5: I got shot in my artery, so I was just
- 10:55Speaker 5: mad at anything, and I was just just holding myself up.
- 10:57Speaker 5: And that's why I realized I got shot. I only
- 10:59Speaker 5: thought I got shot in my hands, But when I realized,
- 11:02Speaker 5: when I finally sat down and the adrenaline went down.
- 11:04Speaker 3: I felt all the wounds on my ass, my legs.
- 11:06Speaker 5: I pulled on my pants and see me hanging on
- 11:08Speaker 5: my leg I'm leading from this bart, I'm looking at this.
- 11:11Speaker 1: I'm like, what the hell.
- 11:12Speaker 5: I'm like, what the oh hell, no, these niggas shot
- 11:14Speaker 5: me six times. I'm like, fuck, because when you get shot,
- 11:17Speaker 5: you don't really feel it. You don't feel you get
- 11:19Speaker 5: shot immediately when it happened adrenaline. Yeah, right, So that's scary, dude.
- 11:24Speaker 1: He called the police. They came so quick.
- 11:26Speaker 5: I felt like right when I was in the pass out,
- 11:28Speaker 5: the ambulance came right on time and everything and that shit.
- 11:30Speaker 1: Usually don't happen.
- 11:31Speaker 5: But I am glad that I got shot where I
- 11:33Speaker 5: got shot at, because Highland has a trauma center, which
- 11:36Speaker 5: is probably five minutes from where I'm at, so the
- 11:39Speaker 5: best place to get If I got a shot in Richmond
- 11:40Speaker 5: around from of something, probably would have died, Thank god.
- 11:43Speaker 1: Man.
- 11:43Speaker 5: Luckily, you know, the Highland was right there. I got
- 11:45Speaker 5: took the hospital. Wo did the surgery go on? I
- 11:48Speaker 5: woke up.
- 11:48Speaker 3: I'm like, damn, I made it. Shit, man, that had
- 11:52Speaker 3: to be scary. You you probably didn't know when, but
- 11:53Speaker 3: by the time when the ambulance got there, you probably
- 11:55Speaker 3: weren't even sure.
- 11:56Speaker 1: I just know that I was still alive.
- 11:58Speaker 5: After I got shot, I was like, I still got
- 11:59Speaker 5: a chance to leave, Like you know, I'm like, I'm like,
- 12:01Speaker 5: hold on, like I'm still like I ain't dead.
- 12:03Speaker 3: Hold On, I got I got a chance, you feel me?
- 12:05Speaker 5: So ship, I just kept fighting you feel men, ship
- 12:09Speaker 5: made it can't really tell you know what I'm saying
- 12:11Speaker 5: unless you you know, see my wounds. But it's just
- 12:13Speaker 5: a learning lesson. Like it's really a learning lesson. You
- 12:15Speaker 5: can't be moving out here freely thinking that anything can't
- 12:18Speaker 5: happen to you. You know what I mean, It will
- 12:20Speaker 5: and it can. So you gotta you gotta move smart,
- 12:23Speaker 5: gotta move strategically.
- 12:24Speaker 3: And how long do you think it took you to,
- 12:26Speaker 3: like mentally heal from that? Because that ship had me
- 12:31Speaker 3: fucked up, I'd have been like, man, fuck this, I
- 12:33Speaker 3: moving nah ship. To be honest with you, I am,
- 12:36Speaker 3: I had to put a bag on whoever's had that was.
- 12:40Speaker 3: I didn't give a ship like I feel like it's
- 12:41Speaker 3: my own mistake. Feel me.
- 12:43Speaker 5: Sometimes you gotta you gotta write it off to that point.
- 12:46Speaker 5: You gotta be on point.
- 12:47Speaker 1: You know. It's part of the part of this is
- 12:49Speaker 1: part of the world. It's part of life, you know
- 12:50Speaker 1: what I'm saying. It's part of.
- 12:53Speaker 5: You know, being involved, being accessible, you know what I mean.
- 12:56Speaker 5: I gotta move smarter. I gotta you know, I gotta
- 12:58Speaker 5: take the long way. I gotta watch my back. I
- 13:00Speaker 5: gotta you know.
- 13:01Speaker 3: And you're still living in the bay right, live in Bay.
- 13:04Speaker 3: Why haven't you followed? M hmmm, because I just got
- 13:08Speaker 3: too much motion in the Bay. Like it just you
- 13:10Speaker 3: know what I'm saying, Like if you go and I
- 13:12Speaker 3: was like, you know how they say like like John Coston,
- 13:16Speaker 3: that's my boy too. Now I know he is happy birthday,
- 13:18Speaker 3: that piece, happy birthday piece. But it's just like it's
- 13:21Speaker 3: just like you know how people would never move. Move.
- 13:24Speaker 3: I'm like, bro, move to l A. You love just
- 13:27Speaker 3: being the guy in the bay though, John, don't you
- 13:29Speaker 3: you fuck.
- 13:30Speaker 5: It's hard to lead that, you know what I'm saying.
- 13:33Speaker 5: And listen, I guess the motion on the studio here.
- 13:37Speaker 5: I got studio at home.
- 13:39Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 13:39Speaker 5: Then I got my kids too, you knowing too much stuff?
- 13:43Speaker 5: How many you have three? I got three girls?
- 13:45Speaker 3: Yeah, you don't want to leave three kids, dad, Yeah,
- 13:48Speaker 3: that's fair. Curse Kobe, Curse the players. Curse the players.
- 13:53Speaker 3: Curse for sure. You also, like obviously have a lot
- 13:57Speaker 3: of influence on like the fashion ship that was going on,
- 14:00Speaker 3: Like I feel like your merchant ship was like super
- 14:02Speaker 3: fucking popping. Like in general, like when we think of
- 14:06Speaker 3: the bay, I think of like what you guys are doing.
- 14:08Speaker 3: Obviously Pink Dolphin came out of the bay, right yeah, yeah,
- 14:12Speaker 3: shouts to those guys, shouts to dope era, shouts to Cookies, Like, like,
- 14:19Speaker 3: what do you think it is? You know, in twenty
- 14:21Speaker 3: twenty four that is still preventing barrier music to like
- 14:25Speaker 3: really really break out of the perceived ceiling that it has.
- 14:32Speaker 3: I feel like, shit like people will be in commercials
- 14:37Speaker 3: and national commercials and stuff like that, like a barrier
- 14:40Speaker 3: move barrier music. It was he playing during the finals,
- 14:43Speaker 3: doing these playing on these bigger platforms. I feel like
- 14:46Speaker 3: it's just like your own tape. How do we get
- 14:49Speaker 3: him to perform at a finals that doesn't involve the Warriors?
- 14:53Speaker 2: I mean this is but I mean usually the words
- 14:58Speaker 2: are there, you know, there got a nice run.
- 15:02Speaker 5: Yeah, And I feel like everything coming waves like every
- 15:05Speaker 5: other city and stuff had their own ways. People got
- 15:07Speaker 5: to just catch on, you know, they're gonna catch onto
- 15:08Speaker 5: the frequency one time I'll take to somebody just to
- 15:11Speaker 5: blow up with the sound.
- 15:12Speaker 2: And you know, but I do think I think it
- 15:15Speaker 2: always like necessary. It always starts with music, no matter,
- 15:18Speaker 2: it starts with the music.
- 15:19Speaker 3: So it's just like.
- 15:21Speaker 2: I think if if you know there's people doing it,
- 15:25Speaker 2: you know.
- 15:25Speaker 3: For sure, no, no, there's people killing it. I just
- 15:27Speaker 3: think like in terms of just like like the national
- 15:30Speaker 3: recognition and the national you know, I think if a
- 15:32Speaker 3: guy like like you and the Russell just dropped the
- 15:34Speaker 3: project right, like, I feel like Russell has done a
- 15:36Speaker 3: good job at least of like breaking the mold of
- 15:39Speaker 3: like people like talk about what he's doing. Oh and
- 15:42Speaker 3: he's from the Bay. Yeah you know what I mean.
- 15:44Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, shout out to the Wressell Man majorly independent
- 15:48Speaker 2: out as well.
- 15:49Speaker 3: And man has an Android and crocs on it all
- 15:51Speaker 3: the time. Yes, yes, green bubbles every time.
- 15:54Speaker 2: Oh God, I love that.
- 15:57Speaker 5: I feel like I feel like everything just like how Detroit.
- 15:59Speaker 5: They was quiet for a long time and all of
- 16:01Speaker 5: a sudden they move. It's just a stampede of avalanche
- 16:04Speaker 5: of just artists just coming out as far as you know.
- 16:06Speaker 5: So it's like everything comes away, you know what I mean,
- 16:08Speaker 5: all to take to somebody just to.
- 16:10Speaker 3: Detroit and that they have a lot of synergy to
- 16:13Speaker 3: sonically and a lot of the artists work together.
- 16:16Speaker 5: Yeah, so it's like it eventually catch on. You know,
- 16:19Speaker 5: who's your guys his favorite Detroit rapper.
- 16:23Speaker 3: Besides Eminem obviously, like I say, like Bayface Race and Peas.
- 16:30Speaker 2: Doug that's my favorite.
- 16:32Speaker 3: I fuck with Doug, that's my favorite. With cash Kid.
- 16:39Speaker 5: Yeah, Cash Kid too that he's doubles, Like he really
- 16:42Speaker 5: got hell of bars, like he'd be rapping off bro
- 16:46Speaker 5: like he on a different level, Like his sports bars
- 16:48Speaker 5: are crazy. It's crazy, Like I'm I would listen to
- 16:51Speaker 5: him like Wow, this is like something. Baby Tryn's are
- 16:54Speaker 5: too ship Baby Trying. I think Baby Trying washed him
- 16:57Speaker 5: and m on that song Big Shie Trying, Baby Trying.
- 17:02Speaker 1: They've been trying to.
- 17:03Speaker 3: By trying to go Crazy. We're trying for show Lady,
- 17:05Speaker 3: for Show you Go Crazy. So now that this album
- 17:09Speaker 3: is out, what are you are you guys going to
- 17:11Speaker 3: each individually focus on? I mean, you have two projects
- 17:14Speaker 3: out right, now Yeah, solo, new solo.
- 17:17Speaker 2: New soloff, new cools on we.
- 17:19Speaker 1: Yeah, I got one trapping this month too.
- 17:21Speaker 2: Yeah, you know we were about to go in you
- 17:24Speaker 2: feel me, and just yeah, keep feeding the streets.
- 17:26Speaker 1: Man, keep going in for me. There All Stars next.
- 17:30Speaker 2: Year and yeah, the All Star weekends in the banks.
- 17:32Speaker 1: Trying to keep the ship lift. So when people come to.
- 17:35Speaker 3: My All Star games in the Bay, yeah this year,
- 17:38Speaker 3: this year coming.
- 17:39Speaker 2: Up, Yeah, coming up NBA season.
- 17:41Speaker 3: Yeah, it's gonna be I'm not going that I ever
- 17:47Speaker 3: thought that was a good idea.
- 17:48Speaker 2: I mean that, I mean, bro, I mean the Chase
- 17:51Speaker 2: Center is beautiful.
- 17:52Speaker 1: There's gonna be a.
- 17:53Speaker 3: Lot of people getting chased in the streets.
- 17:55Speaker 1: It's gonna be ugly. It's gonna be they gonna are
- 18:00Speaker 1: going to be God.
- 18:02Speaker 3: The biers are up. And even when a rock came
- 18:04Speaker 3: to the Bay and they broke it tos like like
- 18:08Speaker 3: like yeah yeah he got I think he was like
- 18:10Speaker 3: calling a Giants game or something and they bipped him
- 18:13Speaker 3: tast I think escalated to caress ship. Yeah, like you
- 18:17Speaker 3: guys know obviously we're not gonna did you guys know
- 18:20Speaker 3: any actual bippers? Yeah, I do, Like they got tools
- 18:24Speaker 3: and ship, like, yeah, they know what cars they're looking for.
- 18:28Speaker 5: Yep, Like you got ones that's like professionally you got one.
- 18:31Speaker 5: That's like, you know, like just doing anything, you know.
- 18:34Speaker 3: So everything it's bipped and like taking to the mission
- 18:36Speaker 3: to get slung.
- 18:37Speaker 5: Nah, I'm pretty sure it's like a black market somewhere.
- 18:39Speaker 5: How they just bip take it. If it's laptop, they
- 18:42Speaker 5: got laptops for sale, their purses money. They follow people
- 18:47Speaker 5: from the bank, Like they'll follow you from the bank,
- 18:49Speaker 5: so you get an envelope follow.
- 18:50Speaker 3: You off to me having to me in lap your card.
- 18:53Speaker 3: We might go in the store. Literally in La was
- 18:57Speaker 3: like damn. I'm like, I don't catch on to that.
- 19:00Speaker 3: But that's the type of stuff I've been saying. You
- 19:01Speaker 3: gotta really watch and see and be own ship because
- 19:05Speaker 3: Molluck is bold nowadays. Do you think San Francisco as
- 19:09Speaker 3: a city, at least in Oakland? Do you think you
- 19:11Speaker 3: guys could benefit each of Obviously you guys are neither
- 19:15Speaker 3: of you guys aren't from those two specific specific cities.
- 19:17Speaker 3: But I feel like the Bay Area could use a
- 19:20Speaker 3: Republican for four years. Oh god, man, I don't even
- 19:24Speaker 3: know nothing about politics, just the pendulum the other way
- 19:30Speaker 3: real quick. Yeah, like everybody you can rock you. Hey,
- 19:34Speaker 3: everybody's got guns.
- 19:39Speaker 5: Like to be honest with you, Like in California, it's
- 19:42Speaker 5: meant to lose. Like, have you guys ever heard a
- 19:44Speaker 5: ship like that?
- 19:44Speaker 3: Ever hung out with Gavin Newsom? Like you know, I
- 19:46Speaker 3: saw him in uh Marchoral. They have a fucking podcast
- 19:50Speaker 3: that's the most pandering shit I've ever seen. But yeah, No,
- 19:54Speaker 3: I haven't.
- 19:55Speaker 2: Hang out with Gavin this, but I know he's probably
- 19:57Speaker 2: gonna run for president. Huh.
- 19:59Speaker 3: I mean Kamala is no.
- 20:00Speaker 2: I mean, I mean I'm saying one day, no, no,
- 20:02Speaker 2: at at some point, I think.
- 20:04Speaker 3: He'd like to, but I'm not sure it's in the
- 20:06Speaker 3: cards for him. Like, I don't think right now for sure.
- 20:11Speaker 3: I think I think. I think, I think I'm curious. Well,
- 20:14Speaker 3: you know what, Kamala cannot pick him as a VP
- 20:16Speaker 3: because they're both from the same state. Yeah, but yeah,
- 20:21Speaker 3: I don't know, man, Maybe I think he'd like that. Yeah,
- 20:26Speaker 3: I think, I think. I think that's why I think
- 20:28Speaker 3: you're gonna see California all of a sudden, he's gonna
- 20:31Speaker 3: start like, yo, he just passed that. Uh, clean it up.
- 20:36Speaker 3: He's gonna start looking not so crazy. He's gonna clean
- 20:39Speaker 3: this ship up because he wants to be the president,
- 20:41Speaker 3: because he's the power of hungry psychopath. I feel I
- 20:44Speaker 3: feel like you guys ever watched that movie uh Hostile,
- 20:50Speaker 3: like where millionaires go to Europe and they murder of
- 20:52Speaker 3: tourists and like, mm hmmm, I feel like Gavin Newsom
- 20:55Speaker 3: does that in the summer for sure. Like he's the
- 21:02Speaker 3: kind of guy that like to just pay like three
- 21:07Speaker 3: four five million dollars to just pick apart a fucking
- 21:09Speaker 3: homeless guy.
- 21:10Speaker 1: You know what I mean.
- 21:13Speaker 3: He's like, I love the homeless, less people, more people,
- 21:16Speaker 3: more people to take this.
- 21:20Speaker 2: This is insane. I don't know.
- 21:23Speaker 3: I shot the gap and I voted for you hunt.
- 21:28Speaker 3: Why yeah, what the hell?
- 21:32Speaker 2: It's kind of early.
- 21:37Speaker 1: Jesus Christ.
- 21:39Speaker 3: What's the last time you show? You guys talked to
- 21:41Speaker 3: him too, talked to him yesterday.
- 21:43Speaker 2: Yeah, I mean I talked talk to all the time. Yeah,
- 21:46Speaker 2: you know, just checking in here and there, like he
- 21:48Speaker 2: came to our release party and you know, just love nice.
- 21:52Speaker 5: We still talk to everybody still, everybody just you know,
- 21:56Speaker 5: everybody individually just be busy with their own lives.
- 21:58Speaker 3: What is it about the Bay Area where the best
- 22:00Speaker 3: groups break up.
- 22:01Speaker 5: I feel like it's not even a breakup, it's more
- 22:03Speaker 5: just like everybody just you know, you don't have all
- 22:06Speaker 5: the time in the world just to be sitting in
- 22:07Speaker 5: the studio in.
- 22:07Speaker 3: My breakup, it felt like a breakup, just so you know,
- 22:10Speaker 3: it felt like it just felt like it. But I
- 22:12Speaker 3: feel like a breakup just I don't know, it just
- 22:13Speaker 3: felt like a breakup.
- 22:15Speaker 5: Like what makes it feel like a break I just
- 22:16Speaker 5: feel like all of a sudden, like h h K,
- 22:19Speaker 5: wasn't getting banged like that. You feel me okay, But
- 22:23Speaker 5: I feel like, okay, you know, s O B RBA done.
- 22:27Speaker 5: You see, like that's like more of a breakup, like
- 22:29Speaker 5: that was a work series or they all have beef
- 22:31Speaker 5: to it, you know.
- 22:31Speaker 3: And I feel like how we were started off, it
- 22:33Speaker 3: wasn't just started off like it was a collective.
- 22:35Speaker 5: It was a collective. You guys were like exactly guys.
- 22:39Speaker 5: You guys were exactly exactly. So it's not like we
- 22:42Speaker 5: started off. It's just like everybody's on all the songs
- 22:44Speaker 5: at one time, you know, all their own solo mixtapes
- 22:47Speaker 5: and all the stuff, and we only came out with
- 22:50Speaker 5: it more like.
- 22:52Speaker 3: Yeah, like that come together every once in a while
- 22:56Speaker 3: performing a halftime show at the Knicks.
- 22:58Speaker 5: Yeah, basically we all still make music together though as
- 23:01Speaker 5: I do just grabbing them on there.
- 23:03Speaker 1: You know, still work with everybody. I don't feel like
- 23:05Speaker 1: a break up.
- 23:06Speaker 5: I just feel like, you know, as you get older
- 23:07Speaker 5: and real life start happening, you know, just people just
- 23:10Speaker 5: grow up apart. You just don't have all the time
- 23:12Speaker 5: just to be in the studio altogether six people, nine,
- 23:15Speaker 5: eight people in the studio all day. At that time,
- 23:17Speaker 5: we was broken hash it use to do. Now we
- 23:19Speaker 5: got money and we got our lives, and it's certain
- 23:21Speaker 5: goals we want to achieve in life individually. You know
- 23:23Speaker 5: we're gonna go for that, you know what I mean.
- 23:25Speaker 3: So when did you realize Pelo was really really good
- 23:27Speaker 3: at making beats?
- 23:30Speaker 5: Pelo being doing that ship plot like people been making
- 23:34Speaker 5: hits is like high school? Like high school. Yeah, like
- 23:37Speaker 5: it was like destined.
- 23:38Speaker 3: Were you making hits before you got pussy? No?
- 23:43Speaker 2: No, of course I was. You you know, I will
- 23:49Speaker 2: I will say cool John as far as like, uh
- 23:53Speaker 2: like Pilo the artist cool Jo almost cool almost one
- 23:57Speaker 2: of the first damn there, I think, don't put like
- 24:02Speaker 2: he put like a Pilo song on on like his
- 24:06Speaker 2: on his compilation, and it wasn't even a rap song.
- 24:09Speaker 2: Was like a Pilo like R and B song. That
- 24:11Speaker 2: was the first time I ever got R and B,
- 24:13Speaker 2: I ever got played on the radio. Was like a
- 24:15Speaker 2: Pilo R and B song, R and P. Shout out
- 24:18Speaker 2: to Big Vine as well, I love that.
- 24:20Speaker 3: What was that project? We had the rat tail as
- 24:22Speaker 3: a baby. We're going yeah, change toit, Yeah, going the workship.
- 24:27Speaker 5: So I already knew Pelo was like dope and ship
- 24:30Speaker 5: like that, and ship I was at that time. I
- 24:32Speaker 5: was just I was just trying to just really just
- 24:34Speaker 5: push my friends music and like that cause I had
- 24:36Speaker 5: a little platform. I was throwing these parties. A lot
- 24:39Speaker 5: of stuff was just catching on from these parties and
- 24:42Speaker 5: stuff like that. So I was just really trying to
- 24:43Speaker 5: push my French music. And then that's how I just
- 24:45Speaker 5: got into it. But always from day one, like Pelo
- 24:47Speaker 5: was just like it was always just a connection far
- 24:50Speaker 5: as musically and as far as just talent.
- 24:52Speaker 3: I just felt like he was Lero like you feel me.
- 24:55Speaker 5: I was like we could do so we could make
- 24:57Speaker 5: out of shape but also believe in them too, like
- 25:00Speaker 5: you feel me, I'm like I was more like an
- 25:02Speaker 5: A and R type of behind the scenes type person stuff.
- 25:04Speaker 5: I just end up being thrown into the music because
- 25:07Speaker 5: it's just like my friends doing it, they become successful.
- 25:11Speaker 1: Why not, right you feel me?
- 25:12Speaker 2: I will say, like, uh, like behind was just like
- 25:17Speaker 2: the whole HBK movement, Like I feel.
- 25:20Speaker 3: Like John.
- 25:22Speaker 2: Was really like yeah, yeah, yeah, like as far as
- 25:26Speaker 2: just like the vision and the like the lifestyle and
- 25:29Speaker 2: the culture behind Yeah, like HBK, like John had played
- 25:33Speaker 2: a big part. Like I feel like me and Sue
- 25:38Speaker 2: like were the like the musical part about it. But
- 25:43Speaker 2: I feel like John really like allowed the lifestyle like
- 25:46Speaker 2: he he he he likes as far as like him
- 25:50Speaker 2: even throwing the parties and like even allowing that for
- 25:54Speaker 2: the music to like live somewhere. I feel like he
- 25:57Speaker 2: was always had the vision for that, even like what
- 26:01Speaker 2: the like, Uh, there was like a term called New Bay,
- 26:04Speaker 2: and I feel like I remember that John was like
- 26:07Speaker 2: the you know, pushing headline.
- 26:09Speaker 1: I was even intern.
- 26:11Speaker 3: I like I like New Bay a lot more than
- 26:13Speaker 3: Young California. It's like.
- 26:19Speaker 5: I feel like it feel like it's coming away. It's
- 26:21Speaker 5: always a new wave of new artists coming, you know
- 26:23Speaker 5: what I mean for sure?
- 26:24Speaker 3: So, like, what was like in the New Bay. I mean,
- 26:26Speaker 3: would you say that era of like people were kind
- 26:28Speaker 3: of like associating with that term.
- 26:30Speaker 5: It was like, uh, damn, I can't even remember all
- 26:35Speaker 5: those people.
- 26:36Speaker 1: Like it was. It was.
- 26:37Speaker 5: It was a wave of us, but it's like I
- 26:39Speaker 5: can't remember them because a lot of them don't even
- 26:40Speaker 5: do music nowhere, Like a lot of them really don't.
- 26:44Speaker 5: Like I can't even to manage you. I can't even
- 26:45Speaker 5: remember too much. But it was it was a lot
- 26:48Speaker 5: of It was a lot of us at the time.
- 26:52Speaker 5: John Hart for the Bay. Yeah, it was. It was
- 26:54Speaker 5: all of us around that wave.
- 26:55Speaker 3: It was a lot of us. But I can't manage
- 26:58Speaker 3: I can't even remember, but it was.
- 27:01Speaker 1: It was.
- 27:01Speaker 5: It was definitely a good time and stuff like that.
- 27:03Speaker 5: And then that's when thisler was first coming out and
- 27:06Speaker 5: the shots. I used to intern for them, and my
- 27:09Speaker 5: intern for Cameo too, to try to push our music
- 27:12Speaker 5: in there and all this stuff. But by the time
- 27:14Speaker 5: I got the job and I was working, we already
- 27:16Speaker 5: blew up in the Bay.
- 27:17Speaker 3: You were like you were like the intern at the
- 27:19Speaker 3: radio station.
- 27:21Speaker 5: Yeah, they was tripped off at Cameo. I finally got
- 27:24Speaker 5: the internship. But by the time I got it and
- 27:26Speaker 5: I was in there, they was playing like swaggen I
- 27:28Speaker 5: was one of our first songs they was playing on
- 27:30Speaker 5: the radio, and I was like, ship, this is what
- 27:31Speaker 5: I was gonna do. I was only gonna get the
- 27:33Speaker 5: internship to infiltrate you feel me, And it was already and.
- 27:36Speaker 1: But it then already caught on.
- 27:37Speaker 3: How long did you intern? I interned for like probably
- 27:40Speaker 3: two months.
- 27:41Speaker 1: Nice.
- 27:41Speaker 5: So by the process, No, I didn't get to that point.
- 27:45Speaker 5: I didn't get to that point. I was just more
- 27:46Speaker 5: in office work and stuff like that, coming up there
- 27:48Speaker 5: and just doing whatever they needed me to do, meeting
- 27:50Speaker 5: all the meeting everybody that work here, their employees, and
- 27:53Speaker 5: then do a small ship to run office. This a
- 27:55Speaker 5: little ship they want us to do, setting up stuff,
- 27:57Speaker 5: planning for other stuff, set up a tent.
- 28:00Speaker 3: I think I was. I think I did one event.
- 28:02Speaker 3: I think I can't remember.
- 28:03Speaker 5: I think I did one event, but it was already
- 28:04Speaker 5: popping by that time, Like I'm I'm seting up the
- 28:07Speaker 5: stuff they playing on the music We're finna do summer
- 28:10Speaker 5: jam in a couple of months. So it's like ship,
- 28:14Speaker 5: I quick, you're Finna girl crazy, So.
- 28:17Speaker 3: You should have kept infiltrating, man, I should have kept
- 28:19Speaker 3: infiltrating so some Disney tickets, man. Actually, because I was
- 28:23Speaker 3: just like I wanted to be a radio personality at
- 28:25Speaker 3: the one time. I was like, I feel like, because
- 28:27Speaker 3: if I got that power, I could put my friends
- 28:28Speaker 3: on all type of shit. Would you do a podcast?
- 28:32Speaker 5: I would, but I would want to do something more
- 28:34Speaker 5: like a like a rha City in the Basement.
- 28:35Speaker 3: Type ship, like that's a television.
- 28:37Speaker 5: Show, but it would be like if it was a podcast,
- 28:39Speaker 5: it'd be that setup like that, like we're in the
- 28:41Speaker 5: basement and talking and stuff like that.
- 28:43Speaker 3: But then I feel like I feel like all the
- 28:45Speaker 3: barrier platforms are really dope, like shots a little blood
- 28:47Speaker 3: and Dizneler we talked about and what's the guy who's
- 28:50Speaker 3: name does the history of the Bay with? Yeah, Dregg's ones.
- 28:54Speaker 5: But I feel like y'all need more platforms, you know what.
- 28:57Speaker 5: I feel like, That's what I was about to say.
- 28:59Speaker 3: That's the key.
- 28:59Speaker 5: I feel like we're missing media out there. I feel
- 29:01Speaker 5: like that's why the Bay Area I feel like it's
- 29:03Speaker 5: slept on because we don't have too many platforms projecting
- 29:06Speaker 5: all this little or the culture and stuff. Yeah, but
- 29:09Speaker 5: that's not like you know, yeah shout.
- 29:13Speaker 1: Out to little Blood. I fuck a little Blood.
- 29:15Speaker 5: All this stuff I'm talking about like bigger platforms, Like
- 29:19Speaker 5: how this shit can get around you get you for me?
- 29:21Speaker 3: Like there's not a complex media.
- 29:23Speaker 5: Not a complex media. It's not like I know, Gazi
- 29:25Speaker 5: was a shade room or something like that. I say,
- 29:27Speaker 5: like that's not it, but like it's whatever, like those
- 29:29Speaker 5: type of platforms where they can post on it and
- 29:31Speaker 5: it can circle around the whole entire United States or
- 29:34Speaker 5: whoever can see it at one time. You know, I
- 29:36Speaker 5: feel like they kind of they're missing the bear culture
- 29:38Speaker 5: because you know, I.
- 29:39Speaker 3: Think what sucks about unfortunately is like they're just the
- 29:43Speaker 3: artist's access isn't the same as it used to be
- 29:45Speaker 3: up there, you know, like people like usually when they
- 29:47Speaker 3: come to the Bay, they go to do something and
- 29:49Speaker 3: then they leave. They're not like going out there to
- 29:51Speaker 3: hang out.
- 29:51Speaker 5: That's what I'm saying, or not that they can get
- 29:53Speaker 5: an interview and do all this stuff hang out, you know,
- 29:55Speaker 5: all this type of an.
- 29:57Speaker 3: Artist that came out anymore because motherfuckers just so in
- 30:00Speaker 3: and out, like Yep, it's just like a different time.
- 30:03Speaker 3: But at the end of the day, like if you
- 30:05Speaker 3: guys give artists a reason to like stick around, you know,
- 30:08Speaker 3: and so that'll come with the music, the hits and
- 30:10Speaker 3: stuff like that, and or you guys feeling comfortable to
- 30:13Speaker 3: LA and you guys could do a podcast together in
- 30:17Speaker 3: l A for all the artists.
- 30:19Speaker 5: I feel like, I feel like podcasts. Everybody got a podcast, yeah,
- 30:22Speaker 5: but you don't have one, Yeah, but everybody else I
- 30:25Speaker 5: want to do. But I want to do like everybody.
- 30:27Speaker 3: Everybody's a fucking rapper and you just put a fucking
- 30:30Speaker 3: album out.
- 30:30Speaker 1: That's true. Yea, you gotta play.
- 30:32Speaker 3: Who cares? You're stacking yourself out? Cool John, Cool.
- 30:35Speaker 5: Cast buddy, You're right, man, I gotta stop sleeping on myself.
- 30:40Speaker 3: I want to be a radio personality. You could be
- 30:42Speaker 3: a podcast. You guys can have all kinds of legendary conversations.
- 30:45Speaker 1: Yeah, definitely, I feel.
- 30:47Speaker 3: Like I am.
- 30:49Speaker 1: I feel like that's what we need.
- 30:50Speaker 5: We need more media and the bar showing.
- 30:55Speaker 3: Like media that like helps with the bay exactly what
- 30:58Speaker 3: I'm saying, that projecting the culture, that'sily playing the culture
- 31:02Speaker 3: and all the stuff like that. That's going on out there,
- 31:04Speaker 3: because it's like it's hell of ship going on, it's
- 31:06Speaker 3: hell of money being circulated. It's just like no one's
- 31:08Speaker 3: really covering it, you know. I mean I try my best,
- 31:11Speaker 3: dude to get as many areas the show as possible.
- 31:14Speaker 1: Now you do.
- 31:14Speaker 5: I just seen, I see you just have my god
- 31:16Speaker 5: brother Copolo on here. That's my god brother. I'm like
- 31:18Speaker 5: literal godbrother brother, that's my little god brother.
- 31:24Speaker 3: But yeah, like just like you know, like even like
- 31:26Speaker 3: the ship going on the Sacramento like I have, I've
- 31:28Speaker 3: had dB on a couple of times, and Delo is
- 31:33Speaker 3: about to pull up.
- 31:35Speaker 5: I think we definitely need you for sure, fire for sure.
- 31:38Speaker 5: Because his thistler versus gas shout out, my brother, it looks.
- 31:43Speaker 3: Like getting in shape. Yeah, come on, it's like you're
- 31:45Speaker 3: on that keto like me.
- 31:48Speaker 2: You've been on keto.
- 31:49Speaker 3: Like down thirty pounds, dog, That's what I'm talking about.
- 31:51Speaker 3: You gotta get you're getting a little fucking yeah. Are
- 31:55Speaker 3: you getting Are you working out? Is that muscle or
- 31:57Speaker 3: is that that's muscle?
- 31:59Speaker 1: You live?
- 32:00Speaker 3: Waints? You go to the gym?
- 32:02Speaker 2: Get down?
- 32:03Speaker 3: Do you go to the gym? Yeah, dude, have you
- 32:05Speaker 3: ever been stopped at the gym, like, are you peelow? Yeah?
- 32:07Speaker 2: For sure?
- 32:08Speaker 3: What do you say?
- 32:09Speaker 2: Yeah?
- 32:10Speaker 3: What's gym selfie? Ever? Yeah?
- 32:13Speaker 2: Yeah, get a little gym selfie?
- 32:14Speaker 3: Sometimes that would be weird.
- 32:16Speaker 5: You have you have a little rappers coming up to
- 32:17Speaker 5: you in the gym. Sh I built my own gym
- 32:21Speaker 5: in my.
- 32:23Speaker 3: No, but I have the La Fitness in North Hollywood
- 32:25Speaker 3: and the whole West Jesus Christ, the one you go to.
- 32:28Speaker 3: Every time I'm in there, someone stops me.
- 32:30Speaker 1: Yo.
- 32:30Speaker 3: I love the podcast The Yo. How do I get
- 32:33Speaker 3: my my brother on? Do I get my friend on her?
- 32:36Speaker 3: I'm a rapper, I'm like, buddy, I'm sweating.
- 32:41Speaker 1: Yeah. Do you enjoy it or do you hate it?
- 32:42Speaker 1: More than anything?
- 32:43Speaker 3: Do you feel like, wow, I feel like I accomplished
- 32:45Speaker 3: something my people at the end of the day. At
- 32:48Speaker 3: the end of the day, Like an artist. I can't
- 32:52Speaker 3: blame anybody for coming up to me. They don't know better. Like,
- 32:55Speaker 3: it's probably not the best approach to be like, hey,
- 32:58Speaker 3: I'm a rapper, let me dm you a you know,
- 33:02Speaker 3: I just think I just I mean this, It's not
- 33:05Speaker 3: a bad thing. It just comes with the territory I've been,
- 33:07Speaker 3: you know, I've been on the radio since I was
- 33:09Speaker 3: fucking eighteen, So motherfucker's been trying to send me music forever,
- 33:12Speaker 3: and and they for some times, I just go on
- 33:14Speaker 3: my dms and I actually like every I would say
- 33:17Speaker 3: once every like two or three months, I'll just be like,
- 33:20Speaker 3: you'll just get what's in here? You know, Oh, this
- 33:24Speaker 3: shit's dope, you know, And then that's That's happened a
- 33:27Speaker 3: few times where I've like found someone in my d
- 33:30Speaker 3: MS and like I was like, Yo, come freestyle. Was
- 33:34Speaker 3: that's happened like two or three times. That's yeah, people
- 33:38Speaker 3: don't hit they they don't blow you up to sign them. Pilo, Yo,
- 33:41Speaker 3: you gotta sign me bro on Filipino.
- 33:43Speaker 2: Yeah, I mean I get that all the time. Yeah,
- 33:45Speaker 2: you know, I think but I definitely definitely find like
- 33:50Speaker 2: a lot of like cool people though. Yeah, there's there's
- 33:55Speaker 2: a couple there's a couple of kids that like that
- 33:57Speaker 2: have like just like constantly DM me, and uh, just
- 34:01Speaker 2: like I end up working with them, you know.
- 34:03Speaker 3: Yeah, that's good at work. It can work. I guess
- 34:06Speaker 3: it's your approach too, you know, people like, hey, brouh,
- 34:10Speaker 3: how much to come freestyle? Yeah, Like it's like thirteen links.
- 34:13Speaker 5: I'm like, bro, I feel like what works is you
- 34:16Speaker 5: put in yourself. How you can show how you valuable
- 34:18Speaker 5: to a person's situation, how you can add to have
- 34:21Speaker 5: some value or add be an asset to them more
- 34:23Speaker 5: than anything, instead of just telling people to do like
- 34:25Speaker 5: how can I help you?
- 34:26Speaker 1: What do you need with?
- 34:27Speaker 3: How can I you know what I'm saying, I can
- 34:29Speaker 3: help you and hit you with question marks Like three
- 34:31Speaker 3: days later, I'd be like, oh god. I'm like dog,
- 34:35Speaker 3: oh god.
- 34:36Speaker 5: Because most people, most people they just you know, they
- 34:38Speaker 5: trying to you know, they hungry and stuff like that.
- 34:40Speaker 5: But I always tell them like this, this is approach
- 34:43Speaker 5: somebody else, telling them how you can help them, and
- 34:45Speaker 5: I'm pretty sure they're most likely they can instead of
- 34:47Speaker 5: what you can do for them.
- 34:49Speaker 3: Yeah, you're gonna understand, like at the end of the day,
- 34:50Speaker 3: like if you are doing what you're supposed to do,
- 34:53Speaker 3: like it probably should somehow come across my peripherals. And
- 34:58Speaker 3: if you're gonna approach somebody through d MS, you probably
- 35:01Speaker 3: should have a little something shaken, you know what I'm saying.
- 35:05Speaker 3: It's not like you just go from like seventy eight
- 35:07Speaker 3: followers to coming on my ship.
- 35:10Speaker 2: Yeah, you want to have. You want to have some
- 35:12Speaker 2: most you want to be able to Yeah, you want
- 35:14Speaker 2: to get Yeah, yeah exactly, but you want to be
- 35:18Speaker 2: you want to add something to what's going on.
- 35:20Speaker 3: Are you still doing a lot of outside production for people.
- 35:23Speaker 2: Or yeah, I'm I'm actually just like because you were
- 35:26Speaker 2: kind of phoning back a little. Yeah, Like it's something
- 35:28Speaker 2: that I'm really just liking now that I'm like working on,
- 35:33Speaker 2: well like really getting back into and just like focusing
- 35:36Speaker 2: on artists that that I like that I like funk
- 35:39Speaker 2: with and people like the surrounding who you've been working with,
- 35:42Speaker 2: I mean working by the work on John's new ship, Offset,
- 35:46Speaker 2: Jim Lazy, Michael Snead, Yeah, a lot of cool stuff,
- 35:54Speaker 2: a lot of dope stuff come from the Bay too.
- 35:56Speaker 3: What was it like doing the project with the Russell?
- 35:59Speaker 2: Oh, amazing man Dudel Russell's uh, his his spirit is amazing.
- 36:05Speaker 3: You've been to his house obviously, Yeah, yeah, we did.
- 36:07Speaker 2: We did his bedroom.
- 36:10Speaker 3: No I was in there.
- 36:12Speaker 2: Really, I haven't been in his.
- 36:13Speaker 3: Bedroom where the studios that you were in there?
- 36:15Speaker 2: No, No, with the whiteboard, No, No, I haven't been there.
- 36:19Speaker 3: I haven't got signed.
- 36:21Speaker 2: I wasn't We went to the pregular So then yeah,
- 36:24Speaker 2: but I haven't been in this room though.
- 36:26Speaker 3: Wow, you didn't go to this room. I thought you
- 36:27Speaker 3: guys your friends.
- 36:29Speaker 2: We are friends.
- 36:29Speaker 3: But he didn't take you to his room. No.
- 36:32Speaker 2: I mean it was just like it was like it
- 36:33Speaker 2: was a lot of mayhem.
- 36:34Speaker 1: It was like it was it was.
- 36:35Speaker 2: A pregular day.
- 36:36Speaker 3: So oh you went on Purgolar Day. Yeah, yeah, Purgolar
- 36:39Speaker 3: Day is crazy.
- 36:40Speaker 2: Yeah, No, it's amazing. It's amazing, like I got the
- 36:43Speaker 2: whole yes.
- 36:45Speaker 3: And then it was his dad cooking that day.
- 36:47Speaker 2: I don't know if his dad was cooking. They definitely
- 36:49Speaker 2: had like a barbecue truck.
- 36:50Speaker 5: That ship was crazy. That's like some Sunday service type ship. Yes,
- 36:55Speaker 5: respected definitely.
- 36:57Speaker 3: He's like son baby there and like who else was
- 37:00Speaker 3: just there? Somebody else was just there? Somebody big. I
- 37:03Speaker 3: was like, oh ship, but yeah, shout out to uh
- 37:05Speaker 3: to l Russell. Uh was it who took the lead
- 37:09Speaker 3: like in terms of like the beat to you?
- 37:11Speaker 2: Yeah, I mean like it was it was all like
- 37:13Speaker 2: I produced the whole thing. So like, but it was
- 37:16Speaker 2: something that we've always talked about, like even way back,
- 37:20Speaker 2: like even when he did the like the verse for again,
- 37:25Speaker 2: I was just something like, Hey, what's telling me like
- 37:28Speaker 2: produce like a tape for you? And it's just like
- 37:31Speaker 2: you just like we're like yeah, like we're gonna work
- 37:32Speaker 2: on it.
- 37:33Speaker 3: I'd got to hear you do a whole fucking Larry
- 37:35Speaker 3: June album.
- 37:36Speaker 2: Bro man, come on, I was just with Larry last night.
- 37:38Speaker 2: But yeah, man, I would love I would love to
- 37:40Speaker 2: do that as well.
- 37:41Speaker 3: Yeah, you and Larry June like for like ten songs
- 37:43Speaker 3: to be crazy.
- 37:44Speaker 2: No, I would love that.
- 37:45Speaker 3: I would love that because I feel like like like
- 37:48Speaker 3: your guys' record together is like the closest thing he's
- 37:50Speaker 3: ever had to like a a commercial hit. I guess
- 37:54Speaker 3: h like that, Like you know, could that got played
- 37:57Speaker 3: on the radio? Like that's It's kind of like I
- 38:01Speaker 3: love when he works with Alchemists and you know who's
- 38:05Speaker 3: the fucking other pretty Serre. He always works with it.
- 38:07Speaker 3: I always used to Cardo. I was gonna say Cardi Pets.
- 38:11Speaker 3: I was like, I know, it's not Cardi Pets Cardo
- 38:13Speaker 3: who used to work with Wiz and Ship, but uh,
- 38:16Speaker 3: I love that Ship. But I also I'm like dog Ship,
- 38:18Speaker 3: like this feels so popping, Like he fucking needs like
- 38:22Speaker 3: a crossover record.
- 38:23Speaker 2: You know what I'm saying, Man, Man, Man, Man, Larry,
- 38:26Speaker 2: come on, let's let's get it done.
- 38:28Speaker 3: Uh are you still uh sending the packs out these days?
- 38:34Speaker 2: Not necessarily to be honest, Like I like like actually
- 38:38Speaker 2: like going like getting in and like hanging out and
- 38:41Speaker 2: catching the vibe. Like I feel like, to me, that's
- 38:46Speaker 2: how like the best music's made, you know what I'm saying,
- 38:50Speaker 2: And really just like going in there and like saying,
- 38:53Speaker 2: what the fuck's going on with their day? You know,
- 38:55Speaker 2: and just like you never know what something just just
- 38:59Speaker 2: from like us being in the studio, like just talking,
- 39:02Speaker 2: having a conversations, kicking the ship. We could make a
- 39:04Speaker 2: song that could change our lives. Yeah, So like I
- 39:08Speaker 2: like that part of it and just like going from
- 39:11Speaker 2: zero to to the end product Like that's that's that's
- 39:16Speaker 2: what kind of like keeps me going in it. Like, yeah,
- 39:18Speaker 2: I could just like be sending out a bunch of beats,
- 39:21Speaker 2: but like, I don't know, it's not really my pot.
- 39:25Speaker 3: Who if you had to exclude anyone from the HBK Gang?
- 39:28Speaker 3: Who is the Bay Area Mount Rushmore? Cool? John? Damn
- 39:36Speaker 3: you said exclude people from Yeah, I gotta throw somebody
- 39:40Speaker 3: from you can't do that, sir.
- 39:42Speaker 1: That's not the rules.
- 39:42Speaker 3: That's my game. You can't say I am too, I'm sorry.
- 39:46Speaker 3: I can't say people. You can't say saves the Gemini,
- 39:49Speaker 3: can't say kay, Lonnie, can't say yourself. I'd be really
- 39:52Speaker 3: vain of you to do it.
- 39:53Speaker 5: Do I have to say forty and two short? Because
- 39:55Speaker 5: I feel like that's already okay?
- 39:57Speaker 3: Take back dre e forty and too short out too okay?
- 40:00Speaker 3: All right, you get a rule. I get a rule. Now,
- 40:01Speaker 3: who's your mount rushing up?
- 40:03Speaker 5: That's already given. I take up like three spots. So
- 40:05Speaker 5: with Mount Westmore is like four or five four. Welcome
- 40:09Speaker 5: to history class.
- 40:10Speaker 2: I gotta say mass, gotta says, gotta say mess.
- 40:20Speaker 3: I gotta say, mister fab try to mister fab for sure.
- 40:33Speaker 1: Jack?

- 40:39Speaker 5: think one more? Who else the legend?
- 40:46Speaker 3: Yeah, and I gotta say, I guess keep keep the sneak.
- 40:52Speaker 3: Not a bad four. I like it.
- 40:55Speaker 1: I feel like, yeah, I feel like it's my full
- 40:58Speaker 1: right there.
- 40:58Speaker 5: If if I got to exclude including everybody.
- 41:01Speaker 1: Else ship, but yeah, that's what I put.
- 41:04Speaker 3: That's not a bad four.
- 41:06Speaker 5: Those four I say either I say, all right, so
- 41:09Speaker 5: I say either Keeck or Stalin Keicker Stalin like one
- 41:13Speaker 5: of those for sure, j Stalin, Keiker Stalin whatever but
- 41:19Speaker 5: not Yeah m.
- 41:21Speaker 3: Hm mc hammer got shipped on right now, damn Hammer.
- 41:24Speaker 1: Wow.

- 41:28Speaker 5: It's they already got they known goats like you know
- 41:30Speaker 5: what I'm saying. It's like it's like a giving like
- 41:33Speaker 5: ham I did. But he was He's definitely a legend.
- 41:39Speaker 5: But it's like I didn't really listen to him like that,
- 41:42Speaker 5: you know what I'm saying. So, I mean, it is
- 41:45Speaker 5: your list, but for sure, yeah.
- 41:50Speaker 2: Listen, Yeah, I mean I'll probably have to say mess Jack.

- 42:29Speaker 2: I mean no, I mean made it hard for.
- 42:34Speaker 3: There's a lot of parameters.
- 42:36Speaker 5: They have a lot of rule specially like when Max
- 42:37Speaker 5: J two trade and Mac that take Guardie up.
- 42:39Speaker 1: But that's tough.
- 42:42Speaker 2: I ain't gona one of my one of my goats
- 42:44Speaker 2: is definitely Clyde Carson.
- 42:45Speaker 3: Cly Carson is fire, definitely one of my goats, very
- 42:49Speaker 3: slept on, very slept on, slow down.
- 42:52Speaker 2: Come on, definitely, you know, Clyde is definitely one of
- 42:54Speaker 2: my guts.
- 42:55Speaker 3: Clike Carson somewhere Mine of the Bay. Excluding all these names,
- 43:01Speaker 3: it's a lot different, I'll tell you that. Probably hieroglyphics. Uh.
- 43:09Speaker 3: I can't say too short right, Nope, can't say e fortype.
- 43:13Speaker 3: I can't say make Dre either, I wouldn't really.

- 43:23Speaker 5: right there.
- 43:24Speaker 3: Come on, ma Dre on a more listen. I got
- 43:30Speaker 3: love for mac Dre, but I feel like I didn't
- 43:32Speaker 3: grow up the same way y'all. Did you know what
- 43:36Speaker 3: I'm saying? Like like the mac Dre shit didn't hit
- 43:39Speaker 3: where I'm from, like that we would see it and
- 43:42Speaker 3: like obviously, like you know, there's a couple of records
- 43:45Speaker 3: of his that go crazy in the fucking club that
- 43:47Speaker 3: we all know. But I never like press play on
- 43:49Speaker 3: a mac Dre album in my life, like where I
- 43:52Speaker 3: listen to like every two short album that's ever existed
- 43:54Speaker 3: up until like I was like fucking sixteen front to back.
- 43:59Speaker 3: You know what I mean, I would say mine would
- 44:04Speaker 3: be the Yuh yeah, I love Hiro. I did enjoy
- 44:11Speaker 3: Andre Nicotina back in the day. I would know. I'm
- 44:21Speaker 3: gonna say Bernard dog Burnzel.
- 44:24Speaker 2: Shout out to Brenzil.
- 44:25Speaker 3: Actually, I'm putting burn on mine. I'm putting burn on mine.
- 44:28Speaker 3: I'm I feel like Bernard don't get it and mentioned
- 44:31Speaker 3: in these conversations enough.
- 44:32Speaker 5: I'm putting burn on mine. Yeah, burn burn burn on
- 44:36Speaker 5: mine for sure?
- 44:37Speaker 1: Yeah?
- 44:38Speaker 2: Oh yeah, I mean I I go, I gotta, I
- 44:40Speaker 2: gotta put putting burn on mine. I gotta put I

- 45:09Speaker 3: I feel like g G is like the most, Like
- 45:12Speaker 3: he's commercially like success, so successful, and like the whole
- 45:16Speaker 3: time he did it like you made sure everybody knew
- 45:19Speaker 3: where he was from.
- 45:19Speaker 1: You know.
- 45:20Speaker 5: Now, if you would have said a new wave rushmore,
- 45:23Speaker 5: Gez definitely on there.
- 45:25Speaker 3: Yeah, Gee's G's one of them ones. And I feel like,
- 45:28Speaker 3: you know, he kind of gets lost in the sauce
- 45:29Speaker 3: when we start talking about that because I have pop records,
