- 0:15Speaker 3: And Matt Lenz. Terrifying and terrible. Live from the haunted
- 0:21Speaker 3: Raising Cane's.
- 0:22Speaker 1: Studio, here's Jacob Hester.
- 0:24Speaker 3: And Matt Lenz.
- 0:25Speaker 2: Come on.
- 0:37Speaker 1: It's a little different in Halloween time.
- 0:38Speaker 3: That's scary. I hope nobody's scared out there. What's happening?
- 0:46Speaker 1: What's going on?
- 0:47Speaker 3: How we doing?
- 0:47Speaker 4: That was good.
- 0:51Speaker 3: Oh, thank you.
- 0:51Speaker 5: Yeah, that was a good one.
- 0:52Speaker 3: I'm a radio guy.
- 0:53Speaker 1: Don't tell them that.
- 0:54Speaker 5: I think that's more of a dad thing.
- 0:56Speaker 1: Very dad.
- 0:57Speaker 4: Is it?
- 0:59Speaker 3: I think so.
- 0:59Speaker 4: Dads have to be good at stuff like that to
- 1:01Speaker 4: entertain their kids.
- 1:02Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 1:03Speaker 2: We were putting the kids to bed the other day.
- 1:05Speaker 2: And he looks at me. You're in the day. The
- 1:08Speaker 2: other day.
- 1:09Speaker 3: Excuse me.
- 1:09Speaker 5: The other night.
- 1:10Speaker 3: Evening. Well, we were doing.
- 1:12Speaker 1: He didn't go night.
- 1:13Speaker 3: We were hitting shadow puppets up in the room.
- 1:15Speaker 1: Oh.
- 1:15Speaker 2: So not a big deal. So we had the flashlight.
- 1:18Speaker 2: We turn it off. I'll look over. And he said, Dad,
- 1:21Speaker 2: take it.
- 1:22Speaker 3: Check it out. And she puts the flashlight under her face.
- 1:24Speaker 3: And she goes, ah, ah, ah, ah. And I'm like, whoa, whoa, whoa.
- 1:28Speaker 3: Take it easy.
- 1:29Speaker 1: Gary.
- 1:29Speaker 3: I think I just peed a little. Golly. That's good stuff.
- 1:37Speaker 2: Kids.
- 1:38Speaker 5: They say the darndest things.
- 1:39Speaker 2: They sure do. Anyway, I love October. It's so spooky
- 1:43Speaker 2: and so awesome. A little humid yesterday for an October.
- 1:45Speaker 1: It was humid, yeah.
- 1:47Speaker 6: Tell you what, it felt great this morning.
- 1:49Speaker 3: Oh, no, not tomorrow. Not yesterday. Maybe tomorrow.
- 1:51Speaker 5: It rained quite a bit.
- 1:53Speaker 3: It did, which I don't hate.
- 1:56Speaker 5: I didn't hate it, no.
- 1:56Speaker 3: It's kind of spooky, too.
- 1:58Speaker 1: Yeah. We got to play our flag football game indoors yesterday,
- 2:02Speaker 1: which is kind of cool.
- 2:04Speaker 3: It's fun. Normally, you know, you play outside. Kids always
- 2:05Speaker 3: like that. Yeah. Feel like a big deal. Yeah. Oh,
- 2:08Speaker 3: no doubt. Yeah. The routes are a little bit crisper.
- 2:11Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 2:12Speaker 3: Really hit that third step on that slant route.
- 2:15Speaker 1: Feels like it.
- 2:16Speaker 3: The ball spins a little tighter on those spirals.
- 2:19Speaker 1: Oh, yeah.
- 2:19Speaker 3: It's nice. So I enjoyed that. Always spin it better
- 2:23Speaker 3: in a dome.
- 2:25Speaker 1: So how was the weekend?
- 2:28Speaker 3: All weekend was very lovely. It was lovely. It's nice. Bro,
- 2:35Speaker 3: Friday night, your boy slept for a night and a
- 2:37Speaker 3: half straight hours. Kidding me? Come on. So when did
- 2:42Speaker 3: the sleep start? About 11. Oh, okay.
- 2:47Speaker 2: Still in Flint time. Oh, yeah, still in Flint time,
- 2:50Speaker 2: but I woke up at 8.30. I was like, this
- 2:53Speaker 2: is awesome. What am I, in college? I mean, in
- 2:56Speaker 2: college it would have been like, much longer well still
- 2:59Speaker 2: it started at like two or three.
- 3:01Speaker 1: Yeah all right and then saturday blue light glasses on
- 3:09Speaker 1: why i don't why'd you get those shade there.
- 3:12Speaker 3: I'm not those shade i'm just making fun.
- 3:14Speaker 6: That's what that means the same thing bud but in
- 3:18Speaker 6: a fun way laughing at it not throwing shade i'm
- 3:22Speaker 6: just making fun of Yeah, dude.
- 3:23Speaker 3: What are you talking about? Throwing shade sounds so negative.
- 3:26Speaker 4: Relax.
- 3:26Speaker 1: You said it like that.
- 3:27Speaker 3: Making fun of you is like a ha-ha thing.
- 3:29Speaker 4: Okay.
- 3:29Speaker 3: All right.
- 3:31Speaker 1: And then Saturday, of course.
- 3:34Speaker 2: Yeah, I was on the edge of my seat. I
- 3:36Speaker 2: was so nervous all day long. Like, I really thought
- 3:38Speaker 2: LSU might lose that one. I was super nervous. During
- 3:42Speaker 2: the game, I couldn't contain my excitement.
- 3:45Speaker 3: Yeah. It was exciting.
- 3:48Speaker 6: Dude, right before kickoff, I know you were going through it.
- 3:51Speaker 3: I was going through it. I was.
- 3:54Speaker 3: I've never screamed at my children so much at that moment.
- 3:57Speaker 6: Pace them back and forth.
- 3:58Speaker 3: Pace them back and forth. I was like, don't talk
- 4:00Speaker 3: to me. Season might be over tonight. But it wasn't.
- 4:07Speaker 3: It wasn't. Thank goodness.
- 4:10Speaker 6: Matt's like, we got a chance to play like gods
- 4:12Speaker 6: for the next half hour.
- 4:14Speaker 1: Set a school record for plays in a game.
- 4:17Speaker 3: Shut the door.
- 4:17Speaker 6: And second in yards, right?
- 4:20Speaker 1: Second in yards. 1977 against Rice, the only game you
- 4:25Speaker 1: had more.
- 4:25Speaker 3: Tight.
- 4:28Speaker 1: So a school record for first downs that you had
- 4:32Speaker 1: actually set against Clemson this year.
- 4:35Speaker 3: You got one more. So 39 first downs. Hell yeah.
- 4:42Speaker 3: It's a good day. Good day at the office. All right. Well,
- 4:45Speaker 3: you weren't actually at the office. Alondra and I were
- 4:47Speaker 3: at the office.
- 4:48Speaker 5: We were at the office.
- 4:49Speaker 3: Alondra held it. She held it down for a while.
- 4:52Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 4:52Speaker 3: You made it longer.
- 4:54Speaker 5: I stayed for the cookies.
- 4:55Speaker 2: You made it longer than I watched for sure.
- 5:02Speaker 5: Yeah, I guess.
- 5:04Speaker 4: I don't know that I was telling them before the
- 5:07Speaker 4: show started that I got onto campus very easily.
- 5:10Speaker 5: There's no traffic heading onto campus.
- 5:13Speaker 4: Yeah. Get up. There's like nobody on the field, which
- 5:16Speaker 4: is crazy because it's usually way too many people on
- 5:19Speaker 4: the field. Like they hand those out like candy. Probably
- 5:22Speaker 4: the average Joe listening could get on the.
- 5:23Speaker 6: Field right now. You pay $ 10, you can get on
- 5:25Speaker 6: the field.
- 5:25Speaker 3: Yeah, no, truly.
- 5:26Speaker 6: It's not that big of a deal. Really, though.
- 5:27Speaker 4: People do not treat you any differently.
- 5:31Speaker 6: They don't.
- 5:32Speaker 4: And there's, like, nobody on there. And then I get
- 5:36Speaker 4: up in the press box. There's, like, nobody in the
- 5:38Speaker 4: press box.
- 5:39Speaker 3: You and Big Fave.
- 5:40Speaker 5: It was me, Fave. Hunt was in and out. Pauly
- 5:44Speaker 5: was with me, too.
- 5:47Speaker 4: And then I was telling them that Fave and BT
- 5:49Speaker 4: went into the studio halftime and didn't come back out.
- 5:54Speaker 5: And then I left in the third quarter. I had
- 5:56Speaker 5: my cookies and I left. Those cookies are fire.
- 6:00Speaker 3: Where did the cookies come from?
- 6:01Speaker 5: I have no idea.
- 6:01Speaker 3: I think they're the same Lod Cook. They're the Lod
- 6:03Speaker 3: Cook cookies?
- 6:04Speaker 5: Yeah, they do.
- 6:05Speaker 3: Yeah. Oh, so similar. I was so mad.
- 6:08Speaker 1: Why?
- 6:08Speaker 3: Went to that meeting. Oh, and they were gone.
- 6:09Speaker 6: Oh, they didn't have any chocolate chip?
- 6:11Speaker 3: Well, yeah.
- 6:12Speaker 5: Words out on them.
- 6:13Speaker 3: Words out on them. We went to that meeting at
- 6:14Speaker 3: the Lod Cook a couple weeks ago.
- 6:17Speaker 5: I know.
- 6:17Speaker 3: I mean, my bad for showing up a minute early.
- 6:22Speaker 3: They were already gone.
- 6:23Speaker 5: They were already gone.
- 6:24Speaker 3: They were already gone. I had to get a sugar cookie.
- 6:27Speaker 3: Make more.
- 6:27Speaker 5: Or whatever.
- 6:28Speaker 3: Only had like oatmeal raisin left.
- 6:29Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 6:30Speaker 3: I hadn't had one of those since, shoot, Arkansas game?
- 6:34Speaker 6: 07?
- 6:38Speaker 3: It's been a while.
- 6:38Speaker 1: You've waited 20 years almost for that.
- 6:40Speaker 3: I've waited 20 years.
- 6:42Speaker 1: And Musso got it right before you. And Lori from accounting.
- 6:45Speaker 3: Yeah. What are you doing here, Lori? Did you even
- 6:57Speaker 3: go to school here?
- 6:58Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 6:59Speaker 3: Didn't even go to school here. Lori's fictional, so don't
- 7:02Speaker 3: try to look her up. Yeah. And if she does exist,
- 7:05Speaker 3: that was by chance. My bad, Lori. It is 100%
- 7:07Speaker 3: by chance.
- 7:08Speaker 5: You think he knows your name?
- 7:09Speaker 3: She's probably a really nice lady. That's a great point.
- 7:12Speaker 3: No shade to them. No shade. Just making fun. We
- 7:15Speaker 3: were actually saying Lori. Yeah. Two different names.
- 7:18Speaker 4: True.
- 7:18Speaker 3: That's a good point. Two different names.
- 7:19Speaker 2: Yeah, definitely not. Don't shade. Just making fun of your name.
- 7:22Speaker 5: Just making fun.
- 7:26Speaker 3: Of you.
- 7:26Speaker 1: Tay-Tay, you and Razor watched the game?
- 7:29Speaker 6: Yeah, absolutely did. He was great this weekend.
- 7:33Speaker 3: Told Flynn.
- 7:34Speaker 6: He slept through the night two nights in a row now.
- 7:36Speaker 3: Not a big deal. Big news, guys. Huge news.
- 7:39Speaker 5: I turned it off because you were messing with it.
- 7:40Speaker 5: A lot of noise.
- 7:42Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 7:43Speaker 1: We tuned in.
- 7:44Speaker 3: Don't lie. Don't lie. He didn't watch the game. He
- 7:48Speaker 3: was too busy sleeping through the night.
- 7:50Speaker 6: Yeah, but I told you he went to bed at
- 7:52Speaker 6: about 10.
- 7:53Speaker 3: Which is an awesome. That was a congratulations. My way
- 7:55Speaker 3: of saying congrats. That's great. That's a big moment. It's
- 7:58Speaker 3: a big moment for mommy and daddy.
- 8:00Speaker 6: Got him a sleep sack, which like I would also
- 8:03Speaker 6: like a sleep sack.
- 8:04Speaker 5: They have adult ones.
- 8:05Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 8:05Speaker 6: I'm very tempted to buy one. I need that. I'm
- 8:07Speaker 6: going to get in bed tonight and be like, Victoria,
- 8:08Speaker 6: zip me up.
- 8:09Speaker 3: Zip me up.
- 8:11Speaker 6: Because you got to zip up from the foot, so
- 8:13Speaker 6: it's going to be hard to grab. You can't touch
- 8:16Speaker 6: your toes.
- 8:16Speaker 3: Just use your abs, dude.
- 8:19Speaker 6: We'll zip each other up. It's a couple things, guys.
- 8:22Speaker 3: I get it. It's like a date night.
- 8:24Speaker 5: Date night. Zip up each other in our sleep sacks.
- 8:28Speaker 6: But the sleep sack works.
- 8:29Speaker 4: You could get an adult sleep sack for $ 150 right now.
- 8:33Speaker 3: Give those things away. I'm telling you, you can't afford
- 8:35Speaker 3: not to get one. Highway robbery to take away one
- 8:38Speaker 3: of those.
- 8:38Speaker 4: At $ 150.
- 8:38Speaker 5: I mean, they look pretty comfy.
- 8:41Speaker 3: I'll be looking over my shoulder.
- 8:42Speaker 5: Although, it looks more like a onesie than a sack.
- 8:46Speaker 3: I mean, you can get a straight jacket probably for cheaper,
- 8:48Speaker 3: you know? Same thing. I used to love a sleeping bag.
- 8:51Speaker 3: It's kind of the same deal. Yeah. Pretty much.
- 8:53Speaker 5: For sure.
- 8:54Speaker 3: What sleeping bag do you have, though? I think I
- 8:58Speaker 3: had a Ninja Turtle.
- 8:59Speaker 1: I mean, we all had a Ninja Turtle. That's kind
- 9:01Speaker 1: of like the obvious.
- 9:02Speaker 3: I'm trying to think of the other one I had.
- 9:03Speaker 5: Mine had dinosaurs on it.
- 9:05Speaker 3: I had a Dick Tracy.
- 9:06Speaker 2: I had a dinosaur. You had a Dick Tracy one.
- 9:07Speaker 2: I had a Dick Tracy one.
- 9:08Speaker 3: Good for you.
- 9:09Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 9:10Speaker 3: Oh, Richard. Not a big deal. Don't treat me any different.
- 9:15Speaker 3: I think Teresa hadn't heard that name in a while.
- 9:17Speaker 5: Oh, great idea in the chat. A heated sleep sack. Oh,
- 9:20Speaker 5: my God. I would sleep so.
- 9:22Speaker 1: Good in one of those.
- 9:23Speaker 3: No, man. I cannot be hot. No, I can't. Heated
- 9:26Speaker 3: sleep sack. No, but, like, if.
- 9:27Speaker 4: Your room is freezing cold and it's freezing cold outside, like,
- 9:31Speaker 4: think dead winter.
- 9:32Speaker 3: Maybe if we could do, like, the West Campus apartment thermostat.
- 9:35Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 9:36Speaker 3: Where we'd kick it down to, like, 58.
- 9:37Speaker 4: Mm-hmm.
- 9:39Speaker 3: What?
- 9:39Speaker 1: Well, we didn't pay for the bill.
- 9:41Speaker 5: Y'all must have had pneumonia like all the time.
- 9:43Speaker 3: We'd knock it down like 55, 58 degrees.
- 9:45Speaker 2: They had a thermostat, old school thermostat, a rectangle one
- 9:49Speaker 2: that you slid like the leather at the side, but
- 9:52Speaker 2: it could only go to like 70, 68, 69, 70,
- 9:54Speaker 2: something like that. But until we figured out how to,
- 9:58Speaker 2: you had to remove the plate, and then there was
- 10:01Speaker 2: a screw.
- 10:02Speaker 3: Yeah. That was, like, a governor. You just had to
- 10:04Speaker 3: take the governor out, then. That may be hard.
- 10:07Speaker 1: I'd hate to see the actual electric bill from those puppies.
- 10:10Speaker 2: They're still paying it off. That and Brian Kelly. It's
- 10:16Speaker 2: going to be a while. It's going to be a minute.
- 10:18Speaker 3: It's going to be a minute. All right.
- 10:21Speaker 2: Anyways, how was your time? Did you have fun? Did
- 10:24Speaker 2: you stay locked in the whole time?
- 10:26Speaker 3: I mean, I had to. I was working. Well, I
- 10:28Speaker 3: know you were working, but, I mean, let's be honest.
- 10:31Speaker 3: Sometimes you cash it in. I wish. I don't know.
- 10:36Speaker 1: I don't think he knows how the pay system works, y'all.
- 10:39Speaker 5: No, we told you this.
- 10:40Speaker 1: So they're cashing in, bud.
- 10:42Speaker 3: Not yet.
- 10:44Speaker 1: No, so what I tried to do, like, pregame, I
- 10:48Speaker 1: tried to bring up, like, four or five names of
- 10:50Speaker 1: guys that I thought would play a bunch and play
- 10:53Speaker 1: late into the game. That way I could kind of
- 10:55Speaker 1: come back to those guys and, hey, we mentioned in
- 10:57Speaker 1: the pregame this guy.
- 10:58Speaker 4: Smart.
- 10:58Speaker 1: Have a little Wikipedia, a little snippet. You know, like
- 11:04Speaker 1: Harlan Berry was a guy we talked a lot about.
- 11:07Speaker 1: Ty Singleton was a guy we talked a lot about.
- 11:08Speaker 1: They both had really good games. So just tried to
- 11:12Speaker 1: set it up at the front end, knowing that the
- 11:14Speaker 1: back end.
- 11:15Speaker 3: Was probably going to be exactly what it was.
- 11:17Speaker 1: And then– Kind of thankfully, McNeese, like, scored some in
- 11:21Speaker 1: the third quarter, so we could try to, like, harp
- 11:23Speaker 1: on that, and you got to stay focused.
- 11:25Speaker 3: You got to stay locked in. Get locked you in.
- 11:27Speaker 3: That's what you're saying.
- 11:28Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 11:28Speaker 3: All right, good. Well, congratulations to the LSU Tigers. Fired up. Again,
- 11:33Speaker 3: that was a sneaky one.
- 11:34Speaker 1: Hard-fought win.
- 11:35Speaker 3: That was a sneaky one. Gotcha game. Hey, we've had
- 11:40Speaker 3: some purple jersey games, bud, that didn't look good. I
- 11:45Speaker 3: was just like, yeah, you're right.
- 11:52Speaker 4: Daniel said that the most exciting part of the game
- 11:55Speaker 4: was Taylor's baby sleep and Alondra getting a cookie.
- 11:59Speaker 3: That's fair. Thank you, Daniel.
- 12:04Speaker 1: Well, we'll break it down when we come back. I
- 12:07Speaker 1: don't have the breakdown of that. I didn't get a
- 12:10Speaker 1: chance to see Alondra get the cookie. I'm sure the
- 12:12Speaker 1: form was impeccable. We saw the picture, though.
- 12:15Speaker 5: I did send it to y'all.
- 12:16Speaker 3: We're damn good.
- 12:17Speaker 5: I'd already eaten it.
- 12:19Speaker 1: I wasn't going to bring up the fact that there
- 12:21Speaker 1: was a bite already out of the cookie.
- 12:23Speaker 5: No, there were several. It was like one bite left
- 12:25Speaker 5: of the cookie that I sent it to y'all.
- 12:27Speaker 1: I wasn't going to say she couldn't wait to send
- 12:29Speaker 1: the picture.
- 12:30Speaker 5: I did not eat first.
- 12:31Speaker 3: They're good. They are good.
- 12:34Speaker 1: All right, we're going to take a break. We'll start to, well,
- 12:37Speaker 1: look at what we saw. Every single detail. We've got the.
- 12:40Speaker 3: Saints coming up tonight.
- 12:41Speaker 1: Another, just another wild episode. NFL weekend where nobody knows
- 12:46Speaker 1: who's good, who's bad.
- 12:47Speaker 3: Is everybody good? Is everybody kind of okay?
- 12:50Speaker 1: We don't really know. We'll break it all down when
- 12:52Speaker 1: we come back here on OTB.

- 14:43Speaker 3: It's the drums, not the guitar, you big dum-dum. There's
- 14:46Speaker 3: also a guitar.
- 14:47Speaker 4: No.
- 14:47Speaker 2: I'm sorry.
- 14:48Speaker 3: I'm an ax man.
- 14:49Speaker 1: Yeah. Drums are just like, he's like over here strumming it.
- 14:56Speaker 3: Oh, I'm sorry. There you go. Is this a drum?
- 14:59Speaker 2: No.
- 14:59Speaker 1: So now you can do your deal.
- 15:02Speaker 3: God, feeling it, dude. Don't judge a man.
- 15:05Speaker 1: All right. LSU beats McNeese 63 to 14.
- 15:13Speaker 3: Go.
- 15:13Speaker 1: A little tale of the tale.
- 15:16Speaker 3: Bring on the Rams.
- 15:18Speaker 1: First downs, LSU 39, McNeese 6. Third down efficiency, LSU
- 15:22Speaker 1: 9 of 17, McNeese 1 of 12. Fourth downs, LSU
- 15:25Speaker 1: 3 for 3. Total yards, LSU had 731 yards, just
- 15:27Speaker 1: shy of a school record.
- 15:27Speaker 3: McNeese had 196.
- 15:28Speaker 1: Passing yards, LSU 364 to 94 from McNeese. Rushing yards,
- 15:44Speaker 1: 367 from LSU, 102 for McNeese, which.
- 15:48Speaker 3: Is kind of crazy because LSU was coming in second
- 15:50Speaker 3: in the country.
- 15:51Speaker 1: But they let Long Run there with the threes in,
- 15:54Speaker 1: so it adds to that number.
- 15:58Speaker 3: Pretty clean game, only seven total penalties between the teams.
- 16:02Speaker 3: Time of possession, LSU 37-13 to 22-47. Individual stats.
- 16:11Speaker 1: Sam Levitt, 18 of 23, 176 yards, three touchdowns, one interception.
- 16:17Speaker 1: Landon Clark, 7 of 16, 126, no touchdowns, no interceptions.
- 16:22Speaker 1: Husson Longstreet, 6 of 9, 62 yards, no touchdowns, no interceptions.
- 16:27Speaker 1: And also fielded multiple punts, which is very interesting. Not
- 16:31Speaker 1: the first time we've seen him go back there, but
- 16:34Speaker 1: I don't know. I don't know if that's ever happened before.
- 16:38Speaker 1: For the quarterback to go back there, catch the punt,
- 16:40Speaker 1: and then lead the team.
- 16:42Speaker 3: On a drive. I actually kind of think it's kind
- 16:43Speaker 3: of cool.
- 16:45Speaker 1: Harlan Berry is your leading rusher. 15 carries, 125 yards
- 16:48Speaker 1: and a score. Stacey Gage, 6 carries, 110 yards and
- 16:52Speaker 1: 2 touchdowns. Dylan Jones, 16 carries, 79 yards and a score.
- 16:58Speaker 1: And then your leading receivers, Corey Barber Jr., 7 catches,
- 17:03Speaker 1: 83 yards and 2 touchdowns. Trey Wilson, 4 catches. 58 yards,
- 17:09Speaker 1: and then Jace Brown adds four for 52.
- 17:16Speaker 2: Well, as expected, a lot of guys getting involved, which
- 17:20Speaker 2: is great at three quarterbacks play.
- 17:23Speaker 3: At four.
- 17:23Speaker 1: At four? Yeah.
- 17:25Speaker 3: Who's the four? Martin came in at the very end
- 17:27Speaker 3: and just handed the football off. Who? T. Martin's son.
- 17:31Speaker 3: Are you serious? Swear to God. Yeah, Caden. All right.
- 17:40Speaker 6: You said you didn't miss anything at the end of
- 17:42Speaker 6: the game?
- 17:42Speaker 3: Are you kidding me?
- 17:43Speaker 2: Okay, so look. I learned something today. Constantly never any self-improvement.
- 17:53Speaker 2: Got to learn something new every single day. It was
- 17:58Speaker 2: good to see a lot of people get involved. We
- 18:00Speaker 2: talked about the The running back room, a lot of
- 18:05Speaker 2: guys get involved there. Of course, it's great to see
- 18:07Speaker 2: the quarterbacks. I love to watch the quarterbacks get involved, blah, blah, blah.
- 18:10Speaker 2: But I know in a game like that, it's not
- 18:12Speaker 2: the most fun thing to come in at the end
- 18:13Speaker 2: of a game like that. Been there, done that, did
- 18:16Speaker 2: it a lot, okay? So I'm experienced to say that.
- 18:19Speaker 2: But from a running back position, it is like, you know,
- 18:23Speaker 2: these are guys that, I mean, heck, there's a lot
- 18:26Speaker 2: of guys that have had a lot of success here
- 18:27Speaker 2: at LSU that aren't getting to carry the ball. And
- 18:30Speaker 2: so you get an opportunity. You have to showcase what
- 18:34Speaker 2: you can do. You have to showcase to a new
- 18:36Speaker 2: coaching staff, like, look, you can trust me down the road.
- 18:41Speaker 2: I can have ball security. I can read my reads.
- 18:44Speaker 2: I can be sudden. I can pass protect. You can
- 18:48Speaker 2: trust me down the road if called upon. And I
- 18:51Speaker 2: know I'm looking at Dylan Jones' stats, not the most
- 18:56Speaker 2: sexy stats ever, 16 runs for 79 yards, but there's
- 19:00Speaker 2: a couple of clips of him.
- 19:01Speaker 3: I was like, man, he's so sudden.
- 19:03Speaker 1: He had five yards to clip. He had multiple short
- 19:06Speaker 1: yardage runs. I kept saying on the broadcast, sudden. He
- 19:12Speaker 1: starts and stops. We've seen it a little bit all week.
- 19:16Speaker 1: We really saw it start.
- 19:18Speaker 2: I saw it for really the first time against A
- 19:20Speaker 2: & M to a point where I was like, oh, dang.
- 19:24Speaker 2: That guy's got a little way more suddenness than I've
- 19:28Speaker 2: seen so far in the season, but then I saw
- 19:29Speaker 2: it again this past week. So, Hopefully, he's getting a
- 19:32Speaker 2: little bit more and more comfortable, but certainly it's nice
- 19:34Speaker 2: to have more and more reps for other.
- 19:36Speaker 3: Guys this past week. Yeah, you needed to get those.
- 19:39Speaker 3: And again, on the broadcast, it's kind of like what
- 19:41Speaker 3: we highlighted.
- 19:42Speaker 1: You know, Gordie and I, before the game, we kind
- 19:44Speaker 1: of go back and forth and things were looking for,
- 19:46Speaker 1: things that got to get done, and we both spent
- 19:47Speaker 1: a lot of time on the running back position, and
- 19:50Speaker 1: Harlan Berry came out in 15 carries for 125 again,
- 19:53Speaker 1: I thought he had a really nice game, had the
- 19:54Speaker 1: 46 yard run, that's as sudden as I've seen him,
- 19:58Speaker 1: and against A & M, I know like the yards were,
- 20:01Speaker 1: he had a couple of nice ones, I'm like, okay,
- 20:03Speaker 1: but still, like you need to see a little bit more,
- 20:05Speaker 1: you need to see him get going a little bit
- 20:07Speaker 1: sooner because right now he's thinking about everything. Again, just
- 20:11Speaker 1: like you've been in that situation, I've been in that
- 20:13Speaker 1: situation where you know you're going to get limited carries
- 20:15Speaker 1: and you try to make this huge impact on three
- 20:18Speaker 1: or four carries and sometimes that's hard to do knowing
- 20:21Speaker 1: you're only going to get three or four and you
- 20:22Speaker 1: try to maybe do more than the play gives you.
- 20:26Speaker 1: I thought last week he got better against A & M.
- 20:29Speaker 3: This week, much better.
- 20:32Speaker 1: He's starting to show some flashes of what we thought
- 20:34Speaker 1: He could be like, that's as sudden as I've ever
- 20:36Speaker 1: seen him. I thought, okay, he's sidestepping and then going
- 20:41Speaker 1: north and south.
- 20:42Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 20:43Speaker 1: Okay, when you sidestep, when you jump cut, okay, how
- 20:46Speaker 1: quick can you go north and south? And I thought
- 20:50Speaker 1: that was as good as I've seen him. So that
- 20:51Speaker 1: was good to see. And then Stacey Gage, credit to
- 20:55Speaker 1: him because, hey, don't forget about me. Don't forget about me.
- 21:00Speaker 1: I was the second running back to start the year.
- 21:02Speaker 1: I was the fourth guy to get a carry in
- 21:04Speaker 1: this game But don't forget about me. How do you
- 21:06Speaker 1: make them remember you? You go and make a play. And, again,
- 21:10Speaker 1: six carries for 110. Every time he touched the ball,
- 21:12Speaker 1: I thought he was going to go to the house.
- 21:15Speaker 1: That's how you make the coaches remember you. And they're looking.
- 21:18Speaker 1: They're asking, hey, somebody give us a number two running back.
- 21:23Speaker 1: We know what Dylan Jones is. He's an all-around back.
- 21:27Speaker 1: Pass protection by far. He's been the best I've seen
- 21:29Speaker 1: on tape of any team this year. But we need
- 21:32Speaker 1: somebody else. We've got to be able to count on
- 21:34Speaker 1: somebody else. And so now you've got Harlan Berry and
- 21:36Speaker 1: Stacey Gage that held their hand up. Said, we got you. Okay, well,
- 21:41Speaker 1: let's see how that goes. Let's see if it continues
- 21:43Speaker 1: down the road.
- 21:43Speaker 3: Stacey was like, hold up now. He really was.
- 21:46Speaker 2: He didn't score 100% of the time, but 33.3% of
- 21:49Speaker 2: the time he carried the ball.
- 21:50Speaker 3: He scored a touchdown.
- 21:52Speaker 2: And one of them, it was like a rugby scrum
- 21:55Speaker 2: in the middle of the field. And all of a sudden,
- 21:57Speaker 2: it was like watching sixth grade soccer. It's like there's
- 22:00Speaker 2: just a big amoeba of people, and then all of
- 22:02Speaker 2: a sudden one person just jets out.
- 22:03Speaker 3: That was him. Yeah, and he had the ball. And
- 22:05Speaker 3: he had the ball.
- 22:07Speaker 1: One play that he had that got called back for holding,
- 22:10Speaker 1: he hurdled a guy. So, again, I love seeing that because,
- 22:13Speaker 1: all right, hey, it's a challenge. Challenge yourself. Harlan Berry
- 22:17Speaker 1: got challenged. He met the challenge. All right, Stacy, you're
- 22:21Speaker 1: the fourth guy to get carries. Here's your challenge. What
- 22:24Speaker 1: are you going to do? And he went out there
- 22:26Speaker 1: and he did it. Both the guys did it. So that,
- 22:28Speaker 1: I don't care who you're playing against. That's good to see.
- 22:31Speaker 1: There's things on tape that I think translate no matter
- 22:33Speaker 1: who you're playing against, you know, with their vision, with
- 22:36Speaker 1: the jump cuts, with the suddenness, with going sideways and
- 22:40Speaker 1: then immediately going full speed north and south. So the
- 22:43Speaker 1: running backs, big winners on the day, including Deuce Gerald's,
- 22:49Speaker 1: who had a carry for a touchdown.
- 22:50Speaker 3: He did. He did. I saw that. You're still watching them?
- 22:54Speaker 3: I'm still watching them. No, I actually saw him on
- 22:57Speaker 3: the highlights this morning.
- 23:00Speaker 1: Yeah, apparently he used to do that some in high school.
- 23:02Speaker 1: Not surprised.
- 23:03Speaker 3: He had another sack as well.
- 23:05Speaker 1: Umami Allen, if I'm not mistaken, last time I looked,
- 23:08Speaker 1: as of Saturday night, he led the country in sacks.
- 23:13Speaker 1: We'll have to see if any other player ended up
- 23:14Speaker 1: getting one. LSU now second in the country in sacks,
- 23:17Speaker 1: only behind Tennessee. Yeah, Umami Allen is the leader in
- 23:21Speaker 1: the nation in sacks with eight.
- 23:24Speaker 3: Yeah, not surprising.
- 23:25Speaker 2: What did he have all season last year? I think
- 23:29Speaker 2: he had– I.
- 23:30Speaker 1: Thought he had– I actually thought he had like seven
- 23:32Speaker 1: and a half.
- 23:33Speaker 3: No, you're right. He had nine. So before this– thank you.
- 23:37Speaker 2: Before the season, we said if Prince Will can just
- 23:40Speaker 2: match the production he had a season ago, that's going
- 23:44Speaker 2: to be like four times the amount of the lead in.
- 23:46Speaker 3: Sack getter for LSU last season.
- 23:49Speaker 2: We said if he just matches that production this season–
- 23:52Speaker 2: Blake Baker and this defense are going to be absolutely deadly.
- 23:55Speaker 2: Now he's at seven already and we're five games in.
- 23:59Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 24:00Speaker 3: You got seven games left. Yeah. So like he's doing
- 24:02Speaker 3: that and he's doing it in bunches.
- 24:04Speaker 2: So if he keeps this up and like, look, we've, we,
- 24:07Speaker 2: I think as LSU fans, like you start, you start
- 24:10Speaker 2: talking about all these different stats and where your defense
- 24:13Speaker 2: lines up.
- 24:14Speaker 3: Yeah, sure.
- 24:14Speaker 2: You dropped one in Oxford, but, I think we'd all
- 24:18Speaker 2: take it. If you would have told us where we'd
- 24:20Speaker 2: be defensively right now, you would have said, hey, principal
- 24:22Speaker 2: five games in is going to have seven sacks. Yeah,
- 24:27Speaker 2: we're like, yes, we are probably in a really good
- 24:30Speaker 2: position in a win-loss column, but certainly our defense is
- 24:34Speaker 2: one that this year, we've talked about the difference between
- 24:37Speaker 2: being a good defense and being a feared defense. We
- 24:41Speaker 2: are right there on that edge of being a feared defense,
- 24:43Speaker 2: and you have to have individual pass rushers from the
- 24:47Speaker 2: inside and the outside of that defensive line.
- 24:50Speaker 3: And LSU's got it.
- 24:51Speaker 1: Yeah, again, LSU right now in total yards allowed second
- 24:55Speaker 1: in the country, only behind Matt's favorite team. So they're
- 24:59Speaker 1: only giving up 220 yards a game. And you could
- 25:02Speaker 1: say this for a lot of teams, so I don't
- 25:03Speaker 1: want to act like it's only exclusive to LSU. But
- 25:07Speaker 1: if you take away the touchdowns that the second and
- 25:09Speaker 1: third unit have given away, I would actually love to
- 25:12Speaker 1: see the number for the first-team defense, yards and points
- 25:15Speaker 1: and all those things.
- 25:16Speaker 3: You can't do it.
- 25:16Speaker 1: That's fine. I'm just saying the starting unit out there
- 25:19Speaker 1: has been really, really good. Again, I mentioned second in
- 25:22Speaker 1: the country in sacks, only behind Tennessee. Tennessee's got 23.
- 25:25Speaker 1: You've got 22. Rushing defense, again, you were second in
- 25:30Speaker 1: the country coming into this game. You fought a fifth
- 25:33Speaker 1: in the country, but still top five in rushing defense.
- 25:37Speaker 1: Been really, really good. And They're down some bodies, no
- 25:42Speaker 1: doubt about it, but they keep the old Rubik's Cube.
- 25:45Speaker 1: They keep just turning and twisting, and that first unit
- 25:49Speaker 1: they have found a way. And they're moving some guys around,
- 25:51Speaker 1: playing some different positions, coming up with some unique stuff.
- 25:55Speaker 2: Is Blake Baker kind of like that kid that you
- 25:58Speaker 2: see on social media that does the world record in
- 26:00Speaker 2: the Rubik's Cube? He sits there with his palms on
- 26:03Speaker 2: the table. Someone mixes it up in front of him.
- 26:05Speaker 2: He can't see it. And then the timer starts. He
- 26:08Speaker 2: looks at it for the first time. And he does
- 26:10Speaker 2: it in like three seconds?
- 26:11Speaker 3: Yeah. Is that Blake? I think his personal best is
- 26:14Speaker 3: like 4.7. Nerd. So, you know, it is just an
- 26:20Speaker 3: algorithm for those Rubik's cubes. Yeah. I get it. I
- 26:25Speaker 3: get it. And it's one of those things that I
- 26:27Speaker 3: just hadn't been able to understand. I've tried. You were
- 26:34Speaker 3: the kid that took the stickers off? I did one
- 26:36Speaker 3: time on the school bus on a trip. It was
- 26:42Speaker 3: a trip. I think it was fifth grade. We were
- 26:43Speaker 3: in the school bus. I took the sticker off. Yeah.
- 26:46Speaker 3: A little moment for you? It was bad.
- 26:48Speaker 2: I look back at that moment, and it's one of
- 26:50Speaker 2: those just deep regrets. I took the sticker off.
- 26:56Speaker 3: Yeah, but old Sally was impressed. Yeah, but the stickers
- 26:59Speaker 3: don't really go back on. They don't go back on.
- 27:01Speaker 3: It's good. Now, you can tell the corners flip up. Yeah.
- 27:06Speaker 3: For whatever reason, the middle part is still as sticky,
- 27:09Speaker 3: but not the corners. You've got way too much experience.
- 27:17Speaker 1: Alondra, Tay-Tay, y'all's most impressive thing or thing, I guess,
- 27:21Speaker 1: I mean, that you watched Saturday night as LSU was
- 27:24Speaker 1: dominant against McNeese?
- 27:26Speaker 6: Corey Barber. I'm glad to see him break out just because,
- 27:30Speaker 6: I mean, he was a five-star and he was committed
- 27:32Speaker 6: to Ole Miss, flipped when Lane got here. I mean,
- 27:35Speaker 6: he was kind of considered the most college-ready receiver that
- 27:39Speaker 6: you had coming out of high school and For the
- 27:42Speaker 6: first three games of the year, I mean, it was
- 27:45Speaker 6: Winston Watkins, Trey Desgreen, and Trey Wilson sprinkled in there.
- 27:50Speaker 6: Last week, you had a coming out party for Jackson Harris.
- 27:52Speaker 6: This week, Corey Barber was the big name guy. I
- 27:54Speaker 6: get it was McNeese, but I'm hoping that as the
- 27:58Speaker 6: season goes along, is this receiving core actually getting a
- 28:00Speaker 6: little bit deeper in terms of guys that maybe you
- 28:03Speaker 6: can count on. We talked about it before the year.
- 28:05Speaker 6: You don't have that bona fide number one guy, but
- 28:08Speaker 6: if you can have four or five guys really step up,
- 28:10Speaker 6: you haven't had that. But right now, I mean, there's
- 28:13Speaker 6: four guys you can count on, maybe five. So, I mean,
- 28:15Speaker 6: if you can keep that rolling, you've got a nice
- 28:17Speaker 6: little court.
- 28:18Speaker 4: Yeah. It was good to see Roman Mothershed get involved
- 28:22Speaker 4: and have a touchdown because we have been worried about
- 28:25Speaker 4: tight in-depth with Trades Green being out. So, I think
- 28:28Speaker 4: that gives you a little bit of hope and hope Yeah,
- 28:30Speaker 4: it's good to see somebody like Corey Barber Jr.
- 28:32Speaker 5: Break out as well.
- 28:33Speaker 4: And I think just like an overall takeaway that I've
- 28:35Speaker 4: had through the season so far is like the discipline
- 28:39Speaker 4: and attitude that this team has is completely night and
- 28:43Speaker 4: day than what we've had in the past with Brian Kelly.
- 28:46Speaker 4: I mean, everybody holds themselves accountable. Everybody is rowing in
- 28:52Speaker 4: the same direction. And I just like the way that
- 28:54Speaker 4: this team is gelling right now.
- 28:56Speaker 1: Yeah, it's a good observation. I would agree with that.
- 28:59Speaker 1: I would certainly agree with that. It does feel like
- 29:01Speaker 1: that no matter who the opponent, no matter the situation,
- 29:05Speaker 1: everybody's ready, everybody's fired up, everybody's going in the same direction,
- 29:09Speaker 1: and that hasn't been the case.
- 29:10Speaker 3: It certainly wasn't the case a year ago.
- 29:12Speaker 2: It seems like every game that is played, every time
- 29:15Speaker 2: we see the team take the field, every time we
- 29:17Speaker 2: see coaches holding players accountable, every time we see people
- 29:21Speaker 2: having fun but in the right way, it just makes
- 29:24Speaker 2: you more and more mad about.
- 29:27Speaker 3: The direction that It was going in before. It was
- 29:30Speaker 3: going beforehand.
- 29:31Speaker 5: You could have had this.
- 29:32Speaker 2: We don't need to look back, but it just reinforces
- 29:35Speaker 2: that every week.
- 29:35Speaker 3: It's like, man, why wouldn't I like this?
- 29:38Speaker 5: It was so...– we thought it at the time, right?
- 29:42Speaker 5: We were like, man, I don't know about this locker room, blah, blah, blah.
- 29:45Speaker 4: But now having the complete opposite here, it just really
- 29:50Speaker 4: shines a light on how bad it really was.
- 29:53Speaker 5: And I don't know, every time I hear.
- 29:55Speaker 4: Any player speak, after a game or out of like
- 29:59Speaker 4: player interviews during the week or whatever it is, I'm
- 30:01Speaker 4: just so impressed by them.
- 30:03Speaker 5: Like, and I just don't ever feel like.
- 30:06Speaker 4: I mean, I've been impressed by people before, but I'm
- 30:07Speaker 4: impressed by everybody that I hear from. Like they all
- 30:10Speaker 4: sound like good kids, their kids.
- 30:14Speaker 5: Um, and I don't know, just like the culture part
- 30:19Speaker 5: of the team too.
- 30:19Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 30:20Speaker 2: And I don't know what the record's going to end
- 30:22Speaker 2: up being at the end of the year. Nobody knows that.
- 30:25Speaker 2: I don't know how far it'll go. But the perception
- 30:30Speaker 2: of what is happening with the team and the program,
- 30:33Speaker 2: and coaches keep saying it, Lane keeps saying it, this
- 30:35Speaker 2: is year one of building a program. Year one, and
- 30:41Speaker 2: I feel pretty good about just the attitude, the verbiage,
- 30:48Speaker 2: what I see on the field on the sideline, and
- 30:52Speaker 2: what I see in the press conference and all that stuff.
- 30:54Speaker 3: Yeah. Not just the product on the field. I think
- 30:57Speaker 3: we're in a good place.
- 30:58Speaker 2: And, again, it's just like, man, just banging my head
- 31:01Speaker 2: against the wall for a couple years. Not really putting
- 31:05Speaker 2: your finger on why. But this shows you. It brings
- 31:09Speaker 2: all that to light. It's completely in the wrong direction.
- 31:11Speaker 4: And real quick, we've got to go break, but did
- 31:14Speaker 4: you all see that he painted the visitor locker room pink?
- 31:17Speaker 3: Oh, nice.
- 31:18Speaker 5: I love that, too.
- 31:20Speaker 3: Didn't Iowa do that? Iowa, Ole Miss, a bunch of them.
- 31:23Speaker 4: Nice.
- 31:24Speaker 3: A bunch of places have done it. Just Sally's.
- 31:26Speaker 5: So good.
- 31:27Speaker 3: That locker room I've been in there for. Which visitor
- 31:31Speaker 3: locker room should be uncomfortable. Yeah, that's the point. It's fun.
- 31:35Speaker 1: All right, we'll take a break. More OTB when we
- 31:37Speaker 1: come back here live from the Raising Cane Studio.
- 31:41Speaker 6: Off the bench.
- 31:43Speaker 1: All right, a bathroom remodel doesn't have to turn your

- 32:14Speaker 3: That's right.
- 32:14Speaker 2: I'm talking to you out there, riding around, being a
- 32:17Speaker 2: big procrastinator, not changing that bathroom, not upgrading that bathroom
- 32:21Speaker 2: that desperately needs it. Don't put it off anymore. Don't
- 32:24Speaker 2: put it off because you think it's going to take weeks.
- 32:26Speaker 2: Maybe it's going to tear your house apart, cost a fortune.
- 32:28Speaker 2: Because Bath Fitter is changing the way Louisiana remodels bathrooms
- 32:32Speaker 2: from creating custom-made tubs to walk-in showers, whatever it is.
- 32:36Speaker 3: Give them a call. And love your bathroom. Get ready.
- 32:39Speaker 3: Get a free consultation as well. Go to bathfitter.com.
- 32:58Speaker 6: Off the bench with Hester and Flynn. Presented by Bayou Automotive.
- 33:15Speaker 4: Hey! Hey!
- 33:16Speaker 1: Wake up, kids.
- 33:17Speaker 3: We got the dreamer's disease.
- 33:21Speaker 1: Age 14. They got you down.
- 33:23Speaker 3: On your knees.
- 33:24Speaker 1: So polite.
- 33:25Speaker 5: We're busy still saying please.
- 33:31Speaker 2: All right.
- 33:33Speaker 1: Welcome back in.
- 33:35Speaker 3: OTV.
- 33:36Speaker 1: Our Monday show is brought to you by our friends
- 33:37Speaker 1: over at Bayou Automotive for Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep, and Ram.
- 33:41Speaker 3: A little bit of everything down there in Laplace.
- 33:43Speaker 1: Louisiana. Go to bayouautomotive.com to find your next vehicle today. Remember,
- 33:48Speaker 1: they will deliver here to the capital city.
- 33:53Speaker 3: Capital city, huh? That's... You know what we say here? Oh, yeah.
- 33:58Speaker 3: Every day. Let's turn this up for the chorus a
- 34:03Speaker 3: little bit. Mm-hmm. Go Tigers.
- 34:14Speaker 1: I always heard that this band, like, it wasn't necessarily just, like,
- 34:18Speaker 1: a one-hit wonder situation. But, like, after this release, like,
- 34:22Speaker 1: they got into, like, a big fight and didn't like
- 34:24Speaker 1: each other. I think they, like, broke up. Yeah.
- 34:26Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 34:27Speaker 1: Nice. So not, like, because they couldn't have another banger.
- 34:30Speaker 1: They just didn't want to do it together.
- 34:32Speaker 3: God. Put your beef aside. They robbed us of great music,
- 34:38Speaker 3: I'm sure.
- 34:39Speaker 1: It's the music videos in a mall. A little nostalgia.
- 34:42Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 34:43Speaker 3: Remember when the mall was cool? You got to remind me,
- 34:45Speaker 3: who was this?
- 34:46Speaker 5: New Radicals.
- 34:47Speaker 4: Oh, yeah.
- 34:49Speaker 1: The guy in the video has a bucket hat on
- 34:50Speaker 1: the whole time?
- 34:51Speaker 3: No. Most of the time, not all the time.
- 34:55Speaker 2: I was, you know, I think the song came out
- 34:57Speaker 2: after high school, so I didn't watch the music video.
- 35:03Speaker 3: Can we get a year on this song?
- 35:05Speaker 5: This song?
- 35:05Speaker 1: Don't do it.
- 35:06Speaker 3: Don't fact check me. Please. He said it so confidently. Normally, normally.
- 35:12Speaker 5: What year did you say?
- 35:14Speaker 1: No, he said he was out of high.
- 35:15Speaker 3: School when it came out.
- 35:16Speaker 1: 98. No. You were barely.
- 35:20Speaker 3: I wasn't even in high school. You weren't even in
- 35:21Speaker 3: high school. There you go. I only watched music videos
- 35:24Speaker 3: in high school. So I'm right. You're wrong. You idiot.
- 35:26Speaker 1: It's so weird.
- 35:27Speaker 6: Every song came out in this four year period. What
- 35:30Speaker 6: happened before that?
- 35:32Speaker 3: Not a lot. This song.
- 35:33Speaker 4: Tigers.
- 35:38Speaker 3: Tigers.
- 35:39Speaker 1: Go Tigers.
- 35:40Speaker 3: They went 1-0 this weekend. As good as you can do.
- 35:45Speaker 3: That's what they say.
- 35:46Speaker 1: All right, let's go around the room real quick. Biggest
- 35:50Speaker 1: surprise in week number five of the college football week.
- 35:59Speaker 3: I'll go. I'll start yourself, I guess. Chomping at the bit.
- 36:03Speaker 6: Not the– Not that they lost, but the way they lost.
- 36:08Speaker 6: Missouri absolutely blowing out Florida. It really shows you how
- 36:13Speaker 6: week-to-week it is. LSU loses to Ole Miss. LSU's looked
- 36:16Speaker 6: good since then. Ole Miss gets blown out by Florida.
- 36:19Speaker 6: Now Missouri blows out Florida. It's like, who's good in
- 36:21Speaker 6: the SEC?
- 36:22Speaker 1: It is getting more NFL-like with the fact that week-to-week
- 36:29Speaker 1: you don't really know. And I think Some of these
- 36:33Speaker 1: rosters with the NIL situation probably plays a factor into that.
- 36:37Speaker 1: You get more teams that have better players.
- 36:41Speaker 3: The depth on any team is tough.
- 36:43Speaker 1: Georgia feels like the only team that has still some way, somehow,
- 36:47Speaker 1: five stars that wait around.
- 36:49Speaker 3: But I think with the way you're spreading talent, you're
- 36:52Speaker 3: going to see some of that. You see it in
- 36:53Speaker 3: the NFL every week.
- 36:56Speaker 2: To that point, with the Bama, you just brought up Bama.
- 37:04Speaker 2: Bama blows out Mississippi State 56-23. We were on a
- 37:09Speaker 2: group text, and I was like, okay, let's think about
- 37:11Speaker 2: this right now.
- 37:12Speaker 3: It's 28-17 at half, right?
- 37:13Speaker 2: Ole Miss beat LSU. Florida beat Ole Miss. Missouri blows
- 37:19Speaker 2: out Florida. Mississippi State beat Missouri, and Bama destroys Mississippi State.
- 37:24Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 37:27Speaker 3: How good is Bama?
- 37:29Speaker 6: Second half, Bama was awesome. First half, they couldn't hold
- 37:31Speaker 6: on to the ball.
- 37:31Speaker 3: The whole year. The whole year, second half, Bama's been incredible.
- 37:37Speaker 4: Yeah, the second half got away from Mississippi State real fast.
- 37:40Speaker 5: Like, that second half really did.
- 37:42Speaker 6: It must have been a lot wetter on the field
- 37:45Speaker 6: than it looked on TV because Mississippi State had three fumbles.
- 37:48Speaker 6: Alabama had three fumbles, I believe, in the first half. Like,
- 37:51Speaker 6: each of them. Like, there was one play. Bama gets
- 37:54Speaker 6: a fumble recovery. Or no, I'm sorry. State gets a
- 37:57Speaker 6: fumble recovery. Bama fumbles the punt. Two plays later, Bama
- 38:02Speaker 6: gets the ball back. They fumble it again.
- 38:04Speaker 3: Yeah. Oh, my God. I forgot.
- 38:08Speaker 1: I got so mad at Marler for being the lamest
- 38:11Speaker 1: person of all time. So, like, before the game, we're, like,
- 38:15Speaker 1: talking about the game or whatever. And I picked Mississippi
- 38:17Speaker 1: State because I'm like, look, let's live a little. Yeah.
- 38:20Speaker 3: I got a lead in this deal. Like, everybody's picking
- 38:22Speaker 3: the same games.
- 38:23Speaker 1: Right. I was either going to go South Carolina against Kentucky.
- 38:26Speaker 1: I was going to go Mississippi State against Alabama. I
- 38:28Speaker 1: was like, ah, South Carolina's going to blow it, which
- 38:30Speaker 1: they did. I was like, let me go Mississippi State.
- 38:34Speaker 1: And we're talking about the game. I was like, you know,
- 38:35Speaker 1: Kamario Taylor's good enough to make the difference. They've got
- 38:38Speaker 1: to get some turnovers. You know, something about the game,
- 38:41Speaker 1: like an analyst about the game. And after the game,
- 38:44Speaker 1: after the game, Marler goes back and goes up and
- 38:47Speaker 1: likes my comment.
- 38:48Speaker 5: Oh, my God.
- 38:49Speaker 3: It was the lamest thing.
- 38:51Speaker 1: That is lame. Like, I was like, what are you doing?
- 38:56Speaker 1: That's the lame. Like, if you liked it, like, as
- 38:58Speaker 1: we did it. Yeah.
- 38:59Speaker 3: Funny.
- 39:01Speaker 1: After the game. I was like, dude, that's the lamest
- 39:03Speaker 1: thing I've ever seen in my life. To go back
- 39:05Speaker 1: and search it.
- 39:06Speaker 3: And like it.
- 39:07Speaker 5: Yeah, we got to give him some crap for that.
- 39:08Speaker 6: He was going through it Saturday. I sent him a
- 39:10Speaker 6: text after all the fumbles. I was like, hey, Chris,
- 39:12Speaker 6: you want to start a drinking game? Alabama, Mississippi State,
- 39:15Speaker 6: anytime there's a fumble, you're going to be wasted by
- 39:17Speaker 6: half time. I get four texts in a row about
- 39:19Speaker 6: a paragraph apiece. That last fumble should have even counted
- 39:22Speaker 6: because the state's player's helmet came off and this and this.
- 39:24Speaker 1: But yeah, Taylor Bama gets.
- 39:25Speaker 3: All the calls.
- 39:26Speaker 6: And I was like, Chris, I was just I was
- 39:27Speaker 6: just sending a light-hearted text. I didn't need the, he
- 39:30Speaker 6: was going through it.
- 39:31Speaker 1: Two of his three teams lost.
- 39:32Speaker 3: I get it. Maybe he's just in a bad mood. Yeah.
- 39:34Speaker 5: Poor guy. His best friend Shane Beamer about to get fired.
- 39:37Speaker 3: Yeah. Best bud.
- 39:39Speaker 5: He said he's going to be at the wedding.
- 39:40Speaker 3: Is it, do you think it's Marla's fault?
- 39:42Speaker 6: Because Beamer said it's his fault.
- 39:44Speaker 3: Beamer said, I like you.
- 39:45Speaker 5: I know.
- 39:46Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 39:46Speaker 5: We've been saying it's his fault.
- 39:47Speaker 3: It's a death.
- 39:49Speaker 5: The Marler kiss of death.
- 39:51Speaker 1: Mm-hmm.
- 39:53Speaker 5: It's as real as ever.
- 39:57Speaker 1: Sometimes he does act like he played for Alabama, in
- 39:58Speaker 1: case you're wondering.
- 40:00Speaker 3: And South Carolina. And also Auburn. And Auburn.
- 40:04Speaker 4: And Georgia State College Institute of Technology University.
- 40:08Speaker 3: That's true. Nowhere on that list is LSU.
- 40:10Speaker 4: No.
- 40:10Speaker 3: Not even close.
- 40:12Speaker 1: No.
- 40:13Speaker 3: I mean, all right, that's enough. I was like, that
- 40:16Speaker 3: makes me angry. Anyway, stay tuned for Marler Mondays.
- 40:18Speaker 4: Woo!
- 40:19Speaker 1: I would crush him today. Yeah, Missouri, the way they
- 40:21Speaker 1: won is the biggest surprise. Ball had nowhere to go.
- 40:25Speaker 1: They bottled him up. And Cole Kulik made a great
- 40:28Speaker 1: point because he called our game. He goes, well, think
- 40:31Speaker 1: about it. They run outside zone really well. Talk about Florida.
- 40:35Speaker 3: He's like, what does Missouri see every single day in practice?
- 40:38Speaker 1: Outside zone. That's their one run. And Missouri's really good
- 40:42Speaker 1: at it. It's been really good at it. He's like,
- 40:44Speaker 1: they had a plan for it. They certainly did that.
- 40:47Speaker 1: And that was 45. All right, we'll take a break.
- 40:51Speaker 1: More breakdown of what we saw from the weekend in
- 40:53Speaker 1: the college world. Once we get to 8 o'clock, certainly
- 40:56Speaker 1: turn the page to the NFL as the New Orleans
- 40:59Speaker 1: Saints getting ready to host the Atlanta Falcons on Monday
- 41:03Speaker 1: Night Football.
- 41:03Speaker 3: And we'll do it right here on OTV.
- 41:05Speaker 2: Off the bench.
- 41:07Speaker 1: Go to getgordon.com. Gordon McKernan, injury attorneys. A couple of
- 41:11Speaker 1: different ways to get in contact with the G team.
- 41:13Speaker 3: You go to getgordon.com.
- 41:15Speaker 1: You can pull up a conversation with a live agent
- 41:17Speaker 1: right there on the home page. You also, no matter
- 41:19Speaker 1: where you're listening to us, in the state of Louisiana,
- 41:22Speaker 1: can put your area code followed by the 8. So
- 41:24Speaker 1: no matter if you're in Shreveport, if you're down in Houma,
- 41:27Speaker 1: if you're in Lafayette, Lake, Chuck, Monroe, DeRidder, Minden, Central,
- 41:32Speaker 1: does not matter. Put your area code followed by 888-8888.
- 41:35Speaker 1: Get Gordon and get it done.
- 41:37Speaker 3: Wow, that sounds like every part of the state.
- 41:39Speaker 1: That is.
- 41:40Speaker 3: Every single city. Paul, I think you know what DeRidder's
- 41:42Speaker 3: mascot is? No. You want to guess? Critter. Dragon. Are
- 41:49Speaker 3: you serious? I like these guys.
- 41:52Speaker 2: Well, if you're injured, critter, wherever it is, if you're
- 41:55Speaker 2: a dragon, not a dragon, whatever it is, make sure
- 41:58Speaker 2: you're calling the experts. Gordon McKernan, injury attorney, is here
- 42:00Speaker 2: to fight for you. Get exactly what you deserve with
- 42:02Speaker 2: the G guarantee, which means you don't pay unless they win.
- 42:04Speaker 3: Getgordon.com.
- 42:14Speaker 1: Off the bench with Hester and Flynn, presented by Bayou Automotive.
- 42:30Speaker 4: All right, welcome back in O-T-V.
- 42:35Speaker 5: Hello.
- 43:00Speaker 3: Taylor, we got to get that clock up there. I
- 43:02Speaker 3: keep looking up there in this blank space.
- 43:04Speaker 6: Oh, I didn't realize it wasn't up.
- 43:06Speaker 3: You know, I could just do one of these and
- 43:08Speaker 3: look at the watch. I'm such a creature of habit.
- 43:10Speaker 3: I'm like, what time is it?
- 43:11Speaker 1: Is there time?
- 43:12Speaker 5: I think we all just kind of expect it to
- 43:14Speaker 5: be on.
- 43:14Speaker 3: No, bro. Time is just a social construct.
- 43:17Speaker 1: It is.
- 43:18Speaker 3: It's made up. I stopped wearing a watch, really, since
- 43:20Speaker 3: I started coming here in the studio. You know? Because
- 43:24Speaker 3: it says it on the screen right there. Peep, peep, peep. Yeah.
- 43:27Speaker 1: Peep, peep.
- 43:31Speaker 5: You're on one today.
- 43:32Speaker 3: I'm in a good mood. LSU dominated McNeese.
- 43:35Speaker 6: I mean.
- 43:36Speaker 3: So why wouldn't I be excited?
- 43:38Speaker 5: What more could you ask for?
- 43:39Speaker 3: What do you want her to do? Not dominate him?
- 43:40Speaker 1: No.
- 43:40Speaker 3: You want him just to.
- 43:42Speaker 5: I didn't say anything about the game.
- 43:43Speaker 3: Just barely get by? I'm not throwing shade.
- 43:49Speaker 6: You're just making fun.
- 43:52Speaker 3: What am I doing? Why are you attacking me? I'm
- 43:54Speaker 3: excited because LSU won. I'm not attacking you. LSU is 1-0.
- 43:58Speaker 5: You just get so defensive.
- 43:59Speaker 1: You hate the fact that they played an in-state school,
- 44:02Speaker 1: you know, non-conference to give McNeese little dollar-dollar bills in
- 44:05Speaker 1: their pocket.
- 44:06Speaker 3: Yes, you hate the state. Oh, you're from Texas. I
- 44:08Speaker 3: get it.
- 44:09Speaker 1: Miami beat Clemson 41-13. They outscore them 17-7 in the
- 44:14Speaker 1: fourth quarter.
- 44:15Speaker 3: A couple things. Clemson is ass, and Miami is real good.
- 44:21Speaker 3: We think. No, Miami's good.
- 44:22Speaker 6: No, I mean, they're good. They might have the best
- 44:24Speaker 6: player in the country in Malachi Toney.
- 44:25Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 44:26Speaker 6: He's awesome. Darian Mensah's incredible. It's a good team.
- 44:31Speaker 4: Who was on the... I don't remember what call. Who
- 44:34Speaker 4: was on the Mississippi State Bama call? They were, like,
- 44:37Speaker 4: debating who they'd rather have.
- 44:39Speaker 1: It was Greg. He was cheerleading in the booth. Oh, okay.
- 44:43Speaker 5: Greg was saying... They asked Greg, who would you.
- 44:46Speaker 4: Rather have, Darian Mensah or Trinidad Chambliss? And.
- 44:51Speaker 5: he was like thinking about it for a second. He
- 44:53Speaker 5: was like, Trinidad. I'm like, I.
- 44:57Speaker 3: Don't know. Pretty good stuff.
- 44:59Speaker 5: That is a tough one, but he said it like, I.
- 45:04Speaker 3: Mean, very immense of six, three.
- 45:08Speaker 5: He said Trinidad.
- 45:10Speaker 3: I love Trinidad play as a baller, but I get it.
- 45:14Speaker 2: But still they haven't played anybody.
- 45:19Speaker 3: It's just fun to watch. They haven't. I'm just going
- 45:21Speaker 3: back in his whole college career.
- 45:23Speaker 5: They're both 30s, though.
- 45:24Speaker 3: They are both 30. But Miami, I don't know if
- 45:27Speaker 3: they're good.
- 45:30Speaker 1: I hear you.
- 45:30Speaker 3: I know what you're saying, but you can watch the tape.
- 45:32Speaker 3: That's a good football team. Maybe. All right.
- 45:36Speaker 6: Off the bench.
- 45:36Speaker 1: All right.
- 45:38Speaker 3: Go to GoTommies.com.
- 45:41Speaker 1: G-E-A-U-X. Tommies with a Y.com. You'll clearly see the difference

- 45:56Speaker 1: Baton Rouge area, you can check that out on the
- 45:58Speaker 1: homepage as well. Don't forget, there's other services that they have,
